Marina Beach, a vibrant urban oasis located just 4 kilometers from Chennai Central Railway Station, is renowned for being the second longest beach in the world, stretching an impressive 13 kilometers. This bustling shoreline is a must-visit destination in Chennai, attracting tourists and locals alike with its lively atmosphere. As you stroll along the sandy expanse, you'll encounter kite sellers and cricket enthusiasts mingling with families enjoying quality time together.
Beautiful place , Location, View Point, It is so Amazing we had enjoyed a lot. With being longest coastal areas. We have walked a very long distance in the coastal lines to enjoy the view from different parts.
Binoy M — Google review
Where nice place for shopping, fast foods and peaceful stroll at shore. But have to be careful about the waves, there is no lighting or guards at the shore. And the shore is too far from the road, so ppl are scattered at the shore. Be careful- especially with children.
Ujjwaal G — Google review
Marina Beach is the perfect spot for both family outings and moments of peaceful relaxation. Early mornings here are calming, with beautiful sunrises and cool breezes making it ideal for a peaceful walk or some quiet time. In the evenings, the beach becomes lively and is great for families, children have ample space to play, there are fun rides, and the festive atmosphere is wonderful. Transport to Marina Beach is very convenient, with easy access by metro, local trains, buses, autos, and cabs. The location is close to many parts of the city so reaching the beach is hassle-free. One of the highlights is the variety of delicious local snacks and food stalls. From crispy bajjis, sundal, and murukku to ice creams and fresh fruit, there is something for everyone. Many nearby restaurants and cafés offer both South Indian and multi-cuisine options, so it’s easy to find good food with a sea view. Marina Beach is well-maintained, and recent improvements have included better accessibility for everyone. Whether you want to soak in the sound of the waves, enjoy street food, or spend quality time with loved ones, Marina Beach never disappoints! Highly recommended for all ages.
ABHISHEK K — Google review
Marina Beach ranks first among the worst beaches in India. At least it is a beach that is not only difficult to get to, but also to see. There are people on the road, traffic in the evening, women are not there to change their clothes, to go to the beach you have to walk 1km on the sand. It is best for those who go on a tour to Chennai to avoid seeing a 100% clean beach. If you want to see it, it is better to look somewhere a little further away between Marina Beach and the Lighthouse
Ramesh B — Google review
A clean and serene beach of Chennai. It has a long coast line. I visited in day time in afternoon heat so couldn't enjoy the evening chowpatty food options and fun. The beach cleaning is actively going on.

Weekend Trip Review: This location offers beautiful scenery and is a pleasant place to visit on weekends. However, significant improvements are needed in maintenance and hygiene. Despite these shortcomings, the overall beauty of the area makes it worthwhile.
Ajay C — Google review
The Blackpool of Chennai. It was a wonderful experience to visit the beach on the Diwali public holiday and seeing family and friends flock to the beach. Swimming is not advised due to the riptides but there is plenty to do from beach markets, makeshift fairgrounds, horse back rides and freshly cooked snacks (Id not recommend buying any if you're not local) As a foreign tourist you might get a lot of stares and selfies but just embrace it. Also expect alot of roaming cows and litter on the beach, so we opted to walk instead of perch but there were plenty of families setting out picnic blankets for the day.
James M — Google review
One of the longest beaches in the world, Marina is perfect for an evening stroll. The memorials of leaders like Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha add to its charm with their beautiful architecture. Well-maintained and truly iconic of Chennai.

It offers an array of activities for tourists and features notable landmarks such as a church, a mosque, and a 17th-century port. This private beach is distinct from the main Kovalam Beach and is renowned for hosting an annual surf festival. Visitors can enjoy clean surroundings and even take surfing lessons.
This is a private beach not even 1km away from the main kovalam beach. Covelong beach is very famous for its surf festival which happens once a year. This beach is very clean compared to the main kovalam beach and they take surfing classes here. You can enter the place even from the main kovalam beach walking along the beach side towards the right hand side of the kovalam beach.

Edward Elliot's Beach, also known as Besant Nagar Beach or Bessie, is a popular destination in Chennai. Named after British explorer Edward Elliot, this beach is renowned for its clean shoreline and tranquil atmosphere. Surrounded by lush tree growth and offering a peaceful environment with fewer crowds, it provides a serene escape for tourists seeking natural beauty and quietude. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the sandy shore while feeling the cool water and warm sand beneath their feet.
Good place for early morning walking or jogging. There are lot pigeons 🕊️ come at early morning it looks awesome. You can see sunrise 🌄 also. Some unique street food shops are also available. Overall nice experience 👍
Viki V — Google review
Great beach near Besant nagar. Very peaceful. If you're taking a car only early mornings are recommended. Evenings are livelier, with lots of activities, food and entertainment. But you can't park your car if you go later than 4.30pm. Bike or public transport is recommended in the Evenings. There are a lot of eateries around.
Jaiyah T — Google review
Visited this Elliot beach near Besant Nagar in the evening. Since the place was too crowded and cleanliness was poorly managed, I felt bad as the beach cleanliness should be citizens responsibility. Near shore it's always beautiful.nearby restaurants are available and you can reach here by auto, taxi or self. Parking availability seems tough.
Chandnee — Google review
Early morning sunrise. Very beautiful and safe beach. Went at 5 am yet already lot of people were there to witness the sunrise.
Rakshitha K — Google review
Visited Edward Elliot's Beach in the morning — it's very close to the IIT Madras campus 🏫🌊. The place was less crowded and offered a soul-soothing experience 🌅. The soft light of sunrise looked truly beautiful ✨, and the fresh, crisp air carried a mild scent of the sea 🌬️🌺. The beach was calm and peaceful 🧘. Walking barefoot on the cool, damp sand felt grounding and refreshing 🏖️👣. It’s the perfect spot to relax, reflect, or simply enjoy the serene beauty of nature 🌿💭. There are plenty of shops along the shore 🛍️, hinting that the evenings here must be lively and vibrant 🎉🌆.
Swarup G — Google review
It's often overcrowded on weekends. There are lots of shops, including eateries, games, and puzzles. It's a great place to spend an evening.
Bala G — Google review
It's my all time favorite beach. Less polluted when comparing to marina beach. Lot of food shops available, for dis-abled person's government arranged wooden ramp upto beach area. So they can also enjoy the beach completely. Old peoples also can walk over it to avoid the walk on sand
Subramanian O — Google review
This is a very beautiful beach in Chennai City. The beach is more clean compared to Marira Beach but still there is a lot of garbage dumped here. If we clean this place, this can be one of best and most beautiful beaches in the region. Lots of shops and garbage being left on the beach is really painful to see. However, the view and the experience is very nice and wonderful. I really hope people keep this clean and this becomes one of best and most beautiful beaches in the city.

Palavakkam Beach is a tranquil escape that beautifully marries natural splendor with cultural depth. Nestled at the southern tip of Chennai, this picturesque beach features soft golden sands and inviting blue waters, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. The vibrant local fishing community adds life to the serene atmosphere, while an ancient temple nearby enriches the area’s historical allure.
A beautiful and clean beach in Chennai. The view at night was absolutely amazing and peaceful. It wasn't crowded even during the weekends. If you're planning to visit at night make sure to stay near the shops as it is brighter in that area at night which will be a safer option.

It’s a clean beach and especially if your Parents love to visit beach … it will be very easy for them to walk to the seashore from parking its a very short distance from the road. You can enjoy some quality family time there without any hassle. The colour of the water is so pleasant to watch😊😎

Beach
Kasimedu Beach is a lesser-known spot in Chennai, located about 10 km from the city center. It's not just a recreational beach but also an important fishing harbor. The sandy stretch offers picturesque views of boats and a pleasant sea breeze for leisurely walks along the pier. While it's not suitable for swimming due to its function as a man-made bridge for accessing fishing boats, it provides a unique experience different from the more popular Marina Beach.
When I feel sad or happy, I need to go and spend the time here mostly, but most of the time I spend time with family members only, I call here. All are interested, they get ready very quickly and they don't waste time at home. We are very special to earth because we have a beach nearby.. enjoy life.. And we have more beach places wherever we will go. It's amazing only, my mom, whenever she goes to the beach she will enjoy it much more.. I spent the first time with my wife and daughter with nature here only, they also enjoyed it.. During college time also I came here more times with my friends, i can't able to write my experience because words can't explain me and my friends enjoyment, happiness and more memorable moments, people i saw here all are very excited and enjoying the nature of beauty, people are came here very long drive and they're all enjoyed and happiness the Beach. I came here when I was in 10th standard with my friends, then I had a lot of fun with them and learned a lot of information. I like to share some happiness here. That's all.. enjoy life more.. காற்றுக்கு எல்லை இல்லையே…
Karthikeyan V — Google review
Good beach and great sea breeze through out the walking stretch along with the beach. You cannot reach to the sea water as this is a man made bridge (road) to access the fishing boats. It is far better breeze and nice experience than Marina Beach. There is no sand in it just a road with stones and concrete blocks to safeguard the road. If you are in a 2 wheelers, you can go till the end of the fishing harbour. Better to leave the place before sun set. Mostly, local people will be in the beach. Government must think and improve the infrastructure and conditions of the entire place like a “Smart City”. It is completely unattended to improve anything beyond the fishing market which is very sad part.
Senthilkumar K — Google review
I was awestruck by the scenic beauty of this beach located in North chennai. Huge fishing boats are parked there. Early morning you will get fresh catch from the sea. Please bargain as they quote high prices.
Tanveer Q — Google review
Kasimedu is a hamlet in the neighbourhood of Royapuram, in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India. This hamlet is occupied by fishermen whose families depend on the fishing harbour and the fish market nearby. It stretches for about 2 km, near Ennore fishing harbour along the shore, north of Chennai Port. [1] Large numbers of victims from Kasimedu fishing community were found during the tsunami observed on 26 December 2004. Kasimedu is located at about 5 km from Chennai Beach railway station. Near about 200 tons of fishes are brought to Kasimedu, daily.[2] State Highway 114 (Ennore Express road) passes through Kasimedu.

Awesome………… Place. Honestly when we decided to visit wasn't excited but the time we reached and looked at the scenes it took our excitement on another level. Dark blue shining water, it was looking like that someone has spread glitter on top of the water. In every distance you can see the rocks road which divides water into two parts. People come here for clicking their photographs with the perfect view on the beach. There were lots of big fisherman boats. On request they allowed us to get some pic from inside of the boat. Suggestion: If you love to click yourself with beautiful scenery then this is the place you must visit.
Rajender K — Google review
A good place for a small weekend trip with friends and family.... You can feel the fresh air, can smell the sea & can enjoy the beauty of experience.... You can spend a lot of time by watching the fish catching & can taste the local beach foods.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Mylapore, Chennai, the Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a magnificent testament to ancient Dravidian architecture and spiritual heritage. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, revered here as Sundareshwarar alongside Goddess Meenakshi, this temple dates back to the 7th century CE.
Located in Mylapore, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and showcases stunning Dravidian architecture with its colorful tower. It’s believed to date back to the 7th century. The atmosphere of the main temple is very divine and peaceful, filled with the devotional chants, and the fragrance of incense, creating a truly spiritual experience for every visitor.
Shubham J — Google review
The circular framing in the image reveals the traditional mandapam architecture, a pillared hall where devotees gather for worship, festivals, and rituals. The Kapaleeshwarar Temple reflects classic Dravidian architecture and is a masterpiece of Tamil temple heritage, originally built during the 7th century by the Pallavas and later expanded by the Vijayanagara kings. The temple complex honors Lord Shiva as Kapaleeshwarar and Goddess Parvati as Karpagambal, embodying grace, fertility, and divine power. Steeped in devotional history, this temple is not only a place of worship—but a timeless cultural landmark that has preserved Chennai’s spiritual identity for over 1,300 years. the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore, Chennai, one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in South India. The towering rajagopuram (eastern gateway tower) dominates the frame, adorned with hundreds of finely sculpted deities, sages, celestial beings, and mythological figures that narrate stories from ancient Shaivite tradition. Rising beside it is the Dwajasthambam (holy flag mast)covered in gold plating and aligned directly with the sanctum symbolizing a sacred axis that connects the physical temple to the divine cosmos.
N ( — Google review
I recently visited the Kapaleeshwarar Temple during the rainy weather, and it was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful experience. The temple looked wonderful in the rain, with the droplets glistening on the ancient stone carvings and the colorful gopuram shining even brighter. The air was cool and refreshing, filled with the fragrance of wet earth and temple incense. The architecture and divine atmosphere made the whole place feel magical — a perfect blend of spirituality and heritage. Watching devotees walk barefoot on the wet stone floors, hearing the temple bells, and seeing the reflection of the temple lights on the rainwater added to the charm. If you ever get a chance, visit this temple during the monsoon — it’s a breathtaking experience you’ll never forget.
Parthiban S — Google review
Had the pleasure of visiting on Diwali, we received an insightful tour around the temple grounds outlining Hindu customs, beliefs and temple practices. This is a prominent Shiva temple and is decorated in hand carved wooden statues which ate repainted every 5 years. You can't help to reflect on blessings of the temple and the focus on the themes of masculine and feminine harmonies (which is explained in more detail during the tour). Please note non hindus can only walk the grounds and cannot enter the shrine The temple is also an active kitchen for the homeless and lower castes. When you arrive there is a shoe storage stand by the main door for a price of 100rpi. Guides will be lingering near the shoe storage stand and around the temple grounds. Highly recommend bringing enough cash to donate to the temple, people attending the kitchen and the guide. Please agree a price with the guide first to avoid being overcharged but there is a cash machine near by if you're running low.
James M — Google review
I happened to see this temple in my one day official trip to Chennai. The temple give ancient pur spiritual vibes and though there was a heavy floating of devotees, there's no rush or queues. It's culturally vibrant and spirituality glorious. The best part is that the inner sanctums of each divine form, Kapaleswaraswami, Ammavaru, Lord Ganesa and Subramanya swami were lit only with oil lamps which gave a totally different feeling as if we time travelled to lovely ancient period at its zenith. The streets near the temple were filled with clay dolls attracting buyers. Inspired by them I set up a Dasara Bommala Koluvu at home.

Visiting the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore was a truly divine experience. The moment I entered, I felt a deep sense of peace and devotion all around. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it’s one of Chennai’s oldest and most beautiful temples — a true reflection of traditional Dravidian architecture. The gopuram (tower) is breathtaking — covered with colorful sculptures of gods, goddesses, and mythological figures that tell countless stories from the scriptures. The detailing is incredible, and every inch of the structure feels alive with history and devotion. Inside the temple, the atmosphere is filled with the sound of bells, chants, and the soft aroma of incense — it’s an experience that touches the heart. What I loved most was how the temple blends spirituality with daily life. You’ll see people offering prayers, feeding temple cows, and quietly sitting near the tank in reflection. The surrounding Mylapore area adds to the charm, with its vibrant flower stalls and traditional shops. Even if you’re not deeply religious, the architecture and cultural energy of Kapaleeshwarar Temple make it a must-visit. It’s not just a place of worship — it’s a living symbol of Chennai’s soul, tradition, and timeless beauty

It is one of the oldest and powerful Shiva temples, which is located in the middle of Chennai. One of the best landmarks of Hinduism in Chennai. Even though it is in mid of Chennai, inside the temple premises, you feel such a divine and spiritual attainment. Both Shiva and Ambal Sannithi give pleasant and divine feelings. You will feel more relaxed after getting dharshan from Shiva and Ambaal. Mostly in the evening, cultural programmes which reflect our traditional and together chanting of the Shiva Puranam give a higher elevation of our spiritual level.

A beautiful temple in centre of a busy area in Chennai. The carvings designs are well preserved and look amazing. Inside you will find a sense of peace and calm away from the noise of the city. Highly recommend to visit if your nearby

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology is a remarkable destination in Chennai that combines wildlife conservation with education. Established in 1976 by the dedicated conservationists Zai and Romulus Whitaker, this facility serves as both a crocodile sanctuary and a breeding center, housing over 2,400 reptiles.
For those with an interest in wildlife and conservation, the Madras Crocodile Bank is a worthwhile and educational destination. It offers a unique opportunity to see a wide array of reptile species, learn about important conservation efforts, and enjoy engaging activities like the night safari. While not a full-day commitment, it is an excellent stop for families traveling along the ECR, especially when combined with other nearby attractions like Mahabalipuram. Highlights and attractions Vast reptile collection: The park houses a large collection of reptiles, including over 15 species of crocodiles and alligators from around the world. You can see endangered species like the saltwater crocodile and gharial. Other species: Beyond the crocodilians, the park features a variety of snakes, turtles, tortoises, and lizards. A separate area is dedicated to snakes, including venomous and non-venomous types. Underwater gharial exhibit: A unique feature allows visitors to see a magnificent gharial swimming effortlessly in a large underwater enclosure with other fish and turtles. Feeding sessions: The park offers feeding demonstrations. On Sunday afternoons, you can witness the feeding of "Jaws III," one of the largest saltwater crocodiles in India. Night safari: For a thrilling experience, the night safari on weekends lets you see the reptiles when they are most active. You are given torches to spot the hundreds of glowing red eyes in the dark. Snake venom extraction: This process is demonstrated by the Irula tribe, providing insight into how venom is collected for producing anti-venom medicines. Guided tours: Knowledgeable guides share interesting stories and facts about the reptiles. Virtual Reality (VR) shows: On weekends and holidays, you can experience VR movies that transport you to the natural habitats of reptiles around the world. Ideal for children: The Croc Bank is particularly popular with families and school groups, as kids enjoy seeing the reptiles up close in a safe environment. Good for short trips: While some reviewers feel the entry price is high for a relatively short visit, most agree it's a good place to spend an hour or two. Well-maintained enclosures: The enclosures are designed to mimic the animals' natural habitats, allowing for safe and close-up viewing. Amenities: The facility includes a canteen for refreshments, a gift shop for souvenirs, and clean washrooms. However, some older reviews noted that toilets were not well-maintained. Accessibility: Located on the ECR, the park is easily accessible by car, bus, or auto-rickshaw. Paid parking is available.

Worth the visit 👍🏼 kids had a great time. An impressive variety and number of crocodiles, and the snake show was also good. The guys milking the snakes are polite and patient and when they see interest in the audience they start explaining everything about the snakes with enthusiasm. Kids will be fascinated. The cleanliness was good, can be better. There was no foul smell anywhere when we went , it’s a nice place for few hours outing with kids.

Wow! The crocodile park is super cool! You can see so many big, sleepy crocodiles and alligators just hanging out. Some are hiding in the water, and some are sunbathing. It's like a big home just for them! It's a super fun place to visit and see these awesome creatures up close.

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology is a must visit place near Chennai if you’re interested in wildlife and conservation. The facility is well-maintained and houses a wide variety of crocodiles, alligators, gharials, turtles, snakes, and other reptiles. It’s not just a tourist attraction but also an educational and research center dedicated to preserving endangered species. The guided tours and interactive sessions are informative, especially the snake and crocodile talks where the staff explain about their habitat, behavior, and conservation efforts. The night safari is also a unique experience. The place is green, peaceful, and provides a natural environment for the animals. Tickets are reasonably priced, and the money goes towards maintaining the animals and research work. A great spot for families, kids, and anyone curious about reptiles. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Mahabalipuram or Chennai.

Madras crocodile park has good collection of different kinds of crocodile 🐊. It also has lot of tortoises and turtles, snakes and other reptiles. Recommended for kids especially. We can spend an hour time . There is a snake venom extraction centre too inside which is separately chargeable. Entry ticket for adult is 100rs which is too much. Decent spot to visit for weekend.

Nestled within the sprawling 16-acre Pantheon Complex, the Government Museum Chennai is a treasure trove of art and history that dates back to its establishment in 1851. This museum features an eclectic mix of collections, including Indian art and sculpture, bronzes from the illustrious Chola Dynasty, and fascinating anthropological artifacts. Visitors can explore various buildings like the Museum Theatre with its stunning Italianate architecture and the Indo-Saracenic National Gallery of Art facade.
One of the second largest Museum in India , probably one of the oldest in the world. Huge collections of ancient civilizations but unfortunately some of them aren't maintained well is sad to know. I see only few are really making use of such a great place where it talks about Hindustan and we should really encourage them from my point of view Request Govt to promote such places wherever they can to attract the visitors Closed on Fridays but remain open on all other days They charge 50rs for adults and 250₹ for foreigners and additional 250₹ for camera or video which is expensive but ok
Venkatesh R — Google review
Egmore Museum is incredibly valuable for anyone interested in South Indian art, especially temple sculpture and bronzes. The depth of history, the level of craftsmanship (for example in Chola bronzes) is breathtaking. It gives a strong sense of continuity of art through centuries — Pallava to Chola to later periods. The museum doesn’t always match the potential of its collection in terms of how the works are presented, interpreted, and preserved. If these areas are improved — lighting, protective display, better signage, more artefacts visible — it could be world-class.
Krishna K — Google review
2nd oldest museum in India & many sections make it feel so. The ticket costs ₹50 and the entry comprises of 6 sections across several buildings. The corridors are huge and very high ceilings make it more majestic. The exhibits are comprehensive with pre historic - colonial. The must see are the Raja Ravi Varma paintings. The Indus Valley Civilization section. Half day to a full day leisure will be the time needed to cover the entire museum. Some buildings are poorly maintained with no lights and ventilation. Otherwise, this museum is extremely enriching & unique.

Very large site and the separate exhibition spaces are very spread out. The building and exhibition rooms are in disrepair but the facade of the building is very impressive Personally I liked the statues, (date ordered), the coin collection, the selection of cannons, the huge copper writing plates, really cool foreign money used in India including an explanation of the origin of paper money which began in Sweden. The whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling was alao impressive but many of the exhibits in the taxidermy section were in a poor state. You can spend a good 2-3hrs there. Rp 250 for foreigners and Rp 250 for camera usage
Simon R — Google review
Excellent museum!!! However, maintenance is lacking. There are 9 themed permanent exhibition halls spanning multiple floors. It took me 4.5 hours to walk through all the exhibits with minimal photography and reading comments. The museum is highly educational with lots of data that can be useful for researchers and educationalists. The buildings need maintenance and the exhibits need thorough cleaning. Some of the exhibits lack descriptions and the audio guide was not working at all. From what I understood from foreigners, there is no way to understand the regional and Indian exhibits, especially the religious exhibits from 12-15th century. Also there was no clear path to take while visiting each gallery. There is a chance that people can miss certain galleries due to this. Entry ticket: Rs. 50 Toilet: Available (not that clean) Canteen: minimal canteen available (only fried rice was available when I visited) Note: 9 exhibition halls available (ask staff for directions)

My visit to the Government Museum in Egmore, Chennai, was a journey through time, housed within stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture. The complex, a peaceful green space in the city, immediately impressed me with its heritage ambiance. The absolute highlight was the Bronze Gallery, where the sheer artistry of the Chola bronzes—especially the cosmic dancer, Nataraja—was mesmerizing. I spent a long time in the Archaeology section, viewing the ancient Amaravati Buddhist sculptures and the prehistoric artifacts from Adichanallur. It was fascinating to discover that the museum holds the largest collection of Roman antiquities outside of Europe, a truly unique aspect. While the vastness of the collection means some older galleries could use updating, the experience was incredibly enriching, offering a deep and tangible connection to the history and cultural legacy of South India.

Marina Beach in Chennai is a favorite spot for both locals and tourists. Besides its expansive sandy shores, the beach offers a range of activities and attractions. Visitors can explore the city's government museum, visit the planetarium, or enjoy sunset views while savoring fried seafood snacks. The area also boasts wildlife spotting opportunities at the Snake Park and Guindy National Park.
Absolutely beautiful and clean skip Goa and go to Chennai. Security and safety is their top priority. You will find many clean toilets. The government of Chennai is doing everything they can to keep it safe. Security cameras all the way round. Many food stalls taste might not be as good as Juhu Mumbai food but beach is ten times better. Greenery and walking paths. Worth a visit

It is a really nice and peaceful spot. The distance from the sand to the sea is very short, so it's easy to reach the water. Compared to other beaches in Chennai, it's less crowded, which makes it perfect for relaxing. There are many shops around for snacks and drinks, so you won’t go hungry. One small concern is the number of stray dogs—it can be a bit uncomfortable at times. But otherwise, it's a great place to chill with friends and family on weekends.

Spencer Plaza, located in Chennai, is a renowned shopping destination with a rich history dating back to the British Raj era. It is considered the oldest shopping mall in India and one of South Asia's most prominent malls. The mall offers a wide range of local and international brands, making it a popular spot for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
After a decade, I revisited Spencer Plaza and was delighted to see it still brimming with charm. As India’s oldest shopping mall, its rich history is palpable in every corridor. The diverse range of shops—from traditional handicrafts to modern brands—offers a unique shopping experience. While newer malls have emerged, Spencer Plaza’s vintage ambiance and cultural significance make it a must-visit. It’s heartening to see it retaining its essence amidst the evolving cityscape.

Spencer Plaza at Anna salai is definitely one of the oldest malls of the city. It is true that it draws less crowd now than it used to in the past. But it is still a great place for buying men and women clothing items for their quality and competitive prices. If compared to more recent malls like Phoenix or Express Avenue, Spencer would give that cosey feeling of malls of early 2000s. The only problem I found was that now it doesn't have a quality food court. All in all, a place worth visiting.

Spencer Plaza offers a calm and relaxed shopping experience, unlike the usual crowded malls. Located right in the heart of the city, it’s easily accessible and convenient for everyone. The variety of stores available ensures a good shopping experience, whether you're browsing for clothes, electronics, or souvenirs. The peaceful atmosphere and central location make it a great spot to shop or just spend some quiet time.

Recently my daughter and I went to buy clothes for my daughter. I thought there would be a lot of high-end clothing stores, but there were only a few stores, and everything else was just cheap stores. I realized that the glamour of 20 years ago is no longer there.
Subramanian M — Google review
I recently visited Spencer Plaza with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. It's not too crowded, which makes for a relaxing shopping experience. They have a great selection of gift items and decorations, perfect for finding something unique. Plus, the prices are reasonable. It's amazing to think this was Chennai's first shopping mall, built way back in 1895! Even though it was rebuilt in 1991 after a fire, it still has that old-world charm. The architecture, especially in the center of the building, is beautiful. If you're looking for a peaceful place to shop with lots of variety, Spencer Plaza is definitely worth a visit. Just a heads up though, the maintenance could be better - some of the escalators weren't working properly.

First time to visit this firstly introduced mall in chennai. Time spent here was worth every minute. Had breakfast and made some shopping here. It was good. No over scene like "You should have our card to make a purchase". Also it literally felt like a maze inside😂 was confused where was the exit and which floor am I.
Nidhin — Google review
This was a must visit place on weekends for the city shoppers - it has now lost its charm with the coming of new malls and multiplexes. Many good shops like Landmark are now closed. For 90s kids, this was a well known place for getting togethers and for those who wanted to watch movies at the nearby Sathyam theatre.

Once known as Madras, it boasts significant landmarks like Fort St. George, which dates back to 1644 and now serves as a museum reflecting its colonial past. Nestled in the heart of Chennai, Semmozhi Poonga is a tranquil botanical garden that spans an impressive 20 acres. Opened in 2010, it showcases over 500 plant species, including some exotic varieties and majestic trees that are over a century old. This beautifully maintained green oasis features eight distinct sub-gardens, an artificial duck pond, and ample open seating areas perfect for events or leisurely strolls.
One of the Best Places to Unwind in Chennai This serene and beautifully maintained spot in Chennai offers excellent accessibility, making it convenient to reach from any part of the city. It’s a perfect destination to spend quality time with family or to enjoy a peaceful moment alone. The calm atmosphere truly soothes the mind and helps you relax. The space features luxurious landscaping with ornamental plants, adding to its charm and aesthetic appeal. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained, ensuring a hygienic experience for all visitors. With nominal entry fees, it’s a value-for-money escape within the city. It’s also a fantastic location for photoshoots with your near and dear ones, thanks to its scenic setting and elegant backdrops. The atrium provides a great venue for hosting small events or performances, making it not just a place to unwind—but also to create beautiful memories.
Dr. N — Google review
Despite the number of visitors, the place felt neglected and did not live up to the hype. The entry fee of ₹75 for adults feels overpriced considering the current condition. The garden might look beautiful during specific flower festivals, but on regular days it lacks proper upkeep and does not justify its reputation. Needs much better maintenance to truly match the expectations set for a botanical attraction.

Semmozhi Poonga (Botanical Garden), Chennai A refreshing green spot in the city with a wide variety of trees and flowers. There’s a play area for kids, plenty of benches to sit and relax, and the garden is also popular with couples. The floral clock is the main attraction here, and the animal figures made with wire add a creative touch. Entry is ₹75 per person, parking is good, and it’s a nice place for photography or a peaceful walk. Overall, a decent garden to spend a couple of hours, especially with family or friends.

The Entry Ticket for an Adult is 75 Rupees .. We were visited in the morning 🌄.. But, I would prefer to visit this place in the Evening 🌆✨. Because the lighting setup is there. ( or ) Visit during the Floral Season. That would be nice 🙂. If you're a Flower 🌺 lover 😻, this place is for you. Go & have fun 😊. Of course, go with your family or folks .. Because, there are a lot of places there for taking good photographs... Don't pluck any flowers 🌺, that's an offensive thing.. Maybe, eventually, you need to pay something.. Lot of Species are there..

This Semmozhi Poonga is a waste and it is not maintained..Most of the sculptures are not complete..It was built to have plants growing on them , but not maintained... Opposite this Semmozhi Park is the Kalaingar Century Park, which is good..But the high cost of entrance fee of Rs100 per adult and Rs 50 per child below 12yrs is only for entry.. Inside u have to buy separate tickets for Glass house, Bird park and Zip line.... The entrance ticket for bird park is Rs 150 for anyone and is too pricy for what it offers...You have to buy a separate ticket of Rs500 if u want to feed the birds.....This is atrocious..... This misty walk was a cooler to enjoy.

One of the very boring place situated in the heart of Chennai City. Don't ever expect anything before you go here. May be good for morning walks and for young umarried & married couples. There is a small kids play area. Very poor maintenance. Good space for bike & car parking. 20 & 100 rupees each. Entrace is ₹75 for adults which is very high for this zero attractive place. Good that we planned with family but ended up only 2 people. It takes exactly 7-10 mins to see the full park. Definitely not recommended.

Semmozi Poonga is best place for plant lovers. Earlier Woodlands drive-in restaurant is occupied then government converted into park and open to public in 2010. Good things is some of the old trees are retained and developed the park. Good time to visit the park evening and if you go during oct, nov and dec park will be more greenery. You can’t enter to specific area inside the park if cinema shooting happen.

Very disappointing experience with the student services. I’m not even a student of this institution, but I’ve been waiting for an Eligibility Certificate for over a month now. There has been no proper response or communication from the concerned department, and due to this delay, my admission elsewhere is getting affected. To those planning to apply here — please think twice. Don’t waste your valuable time and effort. The canteen and infrastructure also need major improvement. While the campus is large, the management seriously needs to start thinking from the students’ perspective.

Marina Beach is Chennai’s most famous tourist attraction, and it’s easy to see why. As the longest natural urban beach in the country, it offers a picturesque setting with its silver sand, blue sea, and stunning sunrise and sunset views. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: Undercurrents: While the beach is beautiful, the undercurrents can be strong, making it challenging for swimmers. It’s essential to exercise caution and stay safe. Kannagi Statue: Look out for the “Kannagi” statue, which tells the story of the legendary character from a South Indian epic. It adds a cultural touch to the beach experience. Duration: Plan to spend 2-3 hours at Marina Beach. Whether you’re taking a leisurely stroll, enjoying the sea breeze, or simply relaxing, there’s something for everyone. Amenities: Nearby, you’ll find amenities like parking, restaurants, and showers. These facilities enhance the overall experience for visitors. Marina Beach is a must-visit spot in Chennai, offering a blend of natural beauty, history, and local culture

By the end of the Carnatic Wars, the previously independent kingdom of the Carnatic had virtually become a protectorate of the British East India Company. Presidency College, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, is a historic institution with a unique architectural style that blends Islamic and Hindu elements. The college's buildings are part of a walking tour that includes other notable landmarks like the Public Works Department, Chepauk Palace, and the Senate House. These structures share common architectural features and collectively represent the colonial architecture that emerged in India during the 1750s to establish governmental and public buildings under British authority.
Presidency College is an arts, law and science college in the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. Established as the Madras Preparatory School on October 15, 1840 and later, upgraded to a high school and then, graduate college, the Presidency College is one of the oldest government arts colleges in India. It is one of the two Presidency colleges established by the British in India, the other being the Presidency College, Kolkata.. At the behest of Sir Thomas Munro, a Committee of Public Instruction was formed in 1826. In 1836, the duties of the Committee were taken over by a "Committee of Native Education". The plans drawn up by the Committee did not commend themselves to the Governor of Madras, Lord Elphinstone, who in turn proposed nineteen resolutions which were passed unanimously.[1] As first Principal, the choice of Elphinstone fell on E. B. Powell, a University of Cambridge Wrangler in Mathematics, who accepted the post. Powell reached Mumbai (Bombay) on 20 September 1840 but did not arrive at Chennai (Madras) until 24 November, the journey from Bombay to Madras taking some four weeks. In the mean time, the Committee had invited a Mr Cooper, from the Hoogly College, Kolkata (Calcutta), to carry out the duties of Principal temporarily, at a salary of Rs. 400 a month. Cooper accepted the invitation and came to Chennai (Madras). He and his staff opened Presidency School, a preparatory school, in a rented building in Egmore known as Edinburgh Home on 15 October 1840. Cooper remained in the preparatory school for only a few months. Soon after Eyre Burton Powell's arrival and before the opening of the high school department in April 1841, he returned to Kolkata (Calcutta). The preparatory School was shifted to Popham's Broadway in 1841.[1] The schools grew into Presidency College. When the University of Madras was founded in 1857, Presidency College was affiliated to it.[1] In 1870, the college moved to its present location in Kamaraj Salai, opposite Marina Beach.. One of the best college in Chennai. Most of the Eminent people are studied here

Nestled in the vibrant Mylapore neighborhood of Chennai, Santhome Cathedral Basilica stands as a magnificent testament to history and faith. Originally constructed by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century, this stunning church was built over the tomb of St. Thomas, one of Jesus Christ's original apostles who is credited with bringing Christianity to India.
I visited Santhome Cathedral Basilica for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. The church is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The architecture is stunning and filled with history and grace. The peaceful atmosphere inside the church gave me a deep sense of calm and reflection. It’s truly a holy and serene place to spend some quiet time. A must-visit in Chennai for anyone who appreciates historic churches, spiritual spaces, or simply beautiful places. I'm really glad I got the chance to experience it!

It's a spectacular architectural monument made a few steps beside the sea. There's peace and calm inside the church. It's made with great craftsmanship. The views were marvelous both inside and outside. You can just go alone by yourself, sit in the silence and pray, you'll find your inner peace for sure. And the staff there are helpful and kind as well. Great place for a visit when you're in Chennai.

Only three churches {St. Peter's Basilica in Rome (over St. Peter's tomb), the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral in Spain (over St. James's tomb), and the San Thome Church in Chennai, India (over St. Thomas's tomb)}in the world are built over the tomb of an apostle of jesus Christ. With its white texture and spires, the Santhome Church stands majestically tall and makes you pause and appreciate its beauty. Built in neo-Gothic style, the church delights every visitor with its naturally lit interiors, rows of wooden pews and striking windows with coloured panes.

"A Must-Visit Landmark in Chennai!" Santhome Cathedral Basilica is a beautiful and historically rich place that absolutely deserves a visit. The neo-Gothic architecture with its stunning white spires and serene stained-glass windows is breathtaking. What makes it truly special is its history—it's built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle. You can visit the peaceful underground crypt and the fascinating museum which houses artifacts like the spearhead believed to have killed the saint. The whole atmosphere is incredibly calm and spiritual. It’s perfect for history buffs, architecture lovers, or anyone looking for a peaceful escape from the city. Highly recommended!❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

I’ve always loved exploring places of worship for their history and architecture — and Santhome Cathedral Basilica in Chennai truly impressed me. The moment I saw it, I was struck by its beautiful white Gothic structure rising gracefully against the sky. The pointed spires, arched doorways, and tall windows give it such a majestic look, and the detailing is absolutely stunning. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The stained glass windows bring in soft, colorful light that fills the space with a quiet serenity. Even as someone from a different faith, I could feel a deep sense of spirituality and respect in the place. Architecturally, it’s a masterpiece — the symmetry, the high ceilings, and the intricate craftsmanship reflect classic European design, yet it blends so harmoniously with the coastal surroundings of Chennai. Learning that the church was built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle, one of Jesus’s disciples, made the visit even more meaningful from a historical point of view. Overall, Santhome Cathedral Basilica is more than just a religious site — it’s a blend of art, history, and peace. You don’t have to be Christian to appreciate its beauty; it’s a place that speaks to anyone who values culture and architecture.

Quite surprised to know that there is a Cathedral church in Chennai. It is quite a big Cathedral. The architecture and design is almost the same as other Cathedral around the world. With the white colour, it is quite eye catching when you pass by it. it is not just the church but the compound is also quite big. there is another building and parking lot. Visited on Saturday morning, there are few people in the church, mostly are visitors.

After many disappointing fake reviews on various places in Chennai, this is only one worth of my praise. We went to beach for sunset but couldn’t stand the place so started walking back to this church. God is good, we did not expect the lightings on this church but it was so beautiful. There was service going on in the sanctuary, although we didn’t understand the song, but the music was so calming. The night temperature was pleasant too, praise the Lord!
Kat H — Google review
A calm, soulful hilltop shrine with sweeping views of Chennai and the airport. The church is small, serene and well kept; you can sit quietly, light a candle and spend time in prayer. The steps up (with Stations of the Cross) feel devotional, or you can drive to the top if you’re with elders. Inside, the ancient stone cross and the statue of Our Lady of Expectation add to the sense of history. Crowd management is disciplined on Sundays and feast days.

Nestled in the vibrant locality of Triplicane, the Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathyswamy Temple is a stunning 8th-century marvel dedicated to Lord Krishna. This sacred site, revered as one of the 108 Divya Desams, showcases intricate carvings and majestic towers that reflect its rich heritage. The temple's name translates to 'the charioteer of Arjuna,' highlighting Krishna's pivotal role in the Mahabharata.
What a temple is this. Loved this. I went this weekend and found one of the beautiful temple. I feel that the temple needs so more cleaning and hygiene due to huge crowd and will work better than now. I really felt blessed to get a chance to visit these places. The only thing I found about the priests, they are always into rush in any famous temples. Even though less crowd they always ask devotees to go out as fast as they can. But if you see positive sides then one of the best temple to visit in Chennai. Lovely.
Being_Reviewer — Google review
The Parthasarathy Temple in Triplicane is one of Chennai’s most treasured spiritual landmarks. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams. Built in the 8th century by the Pallavas, this temple radiates divinity and preserves the city’s deep cultural and devotional heritage. The presiding deity here is Lord Parthasarathy (Krishna as the charioteer of Arjuna). Within the complex you’ll also find shrines of Yoga Narasimha, Lord Rama with Sita and Lakshmana, Lord Lakshmi Ranganatha, Lakshmi Varadaraja, Vedavalli Thayar, and the revered Alwars. The experience is like visiting multiple temples at once, each radiating its own unique energy. What to Expect: Atmosphere: Serene yet lively, with devotional chants and the fragrance of incense filling the air. Parking:Ample space is available for both 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers, which makes visiting convenient even during busy hours. Shops:Right outside the temple, you’ll find plenty of shops selling traditional items, including vastrams (clothes for vigrahas), flowers, and puja essentials—perfect if you want to take something back for your home deity. Photography:Do note that photography is not allowed inside the temple, helping preserve its sanctity. Nearby Attractions: The iconic Marina Beach is just about 700 meters away, making it easy to combine your spiritual visit with a walk by the sea. 🙏 The Parthasarathy Temple is a place of worship and journey into Chennai’s soul. Whether you are a devotee, a lover of history, or simply someone seeking peace, this temple is worth experiencing. ⭐ Recommended for: Families, devotees, history lovers, and anyone who wants to soak in authentic Chennai tradition.

Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathyswamy Temple – Triplicane, Chennai Visited this ancient temple in central Chennai and was deeply moved by its spiritual ambiance and rich heritage. Here's what stood out: History & Architecture One of Chennai’s oldest surviving temples, originally built by the Pallavas in the 6th–8th century, then expanded by the Cholas and later Vijayanagara kings . A proud Divya Desam, praised in the Naalayira Divya Prabandham by the Alvars . Features classic Dravidian structure: towering Raja Gopuram, ornate stone pillars, 36-pillared mandapam, and detailed carvings . Multiple Forms of Perumal Central shrine houses Lord Parthasarathy (Krishna–Charioteer of Arjuna), unique with a moustache (“Meesai Perumal”) and holding only a conch (no discus), believed to bear Bheeshma’s arrow scars from Kurukshetra . Other shrines honor Yoga Narasimha, Rama, Gajendra Varadaraja, and Ranganatha, making it a revered Panchamurthi sthalam . Meesai Perumal & Variants The moustached form is an iconic visual; during certain days of Vaikunta Ekadasi, he's shown without a moustache, symbolizing humility . The temple also includes a distinct shrine for Yoga Narasimha, with its own entrance and dhvajastambha . Prasadam The Ven Pongal served here is particularly sweet and rich, made with extra ghee and cashews—believed to soothe the deity's arrow wounds . Common temple prasadam like Puliyodarai is also loved by devotees . Location & Atmosphere Situated in the heart of Triplicane, just a few minutes from Marina Beach, yet it feels like a peaceful oasis . Real devotees comment on its positive aura, dedicated priests, and well-maintained grounds . Festivals & Events Major celebrations include Chittirai Brahmotsavam, Vaikunta Ekadasi, and the Masi (February–March) Theppam (float festival) in the temple tank . The annual Ramanujar festival is significant—legend says his father performed a Putrakameshti yagna here and received the blessing that Ramanuja would be born . Summary A divine blend of ancient architecture, living tradition, and deep Vaishnava devotion—this temple is high on my list for anyone seeking spiritual depth or historical richness in Chennai. The sight of Meesai Perumal, the serene tank, and the lusciously sweet prasadam make it unforgettable.

Thiruvellukani or Sri Parthasarathi Perumal Kovil is a magnificent ancient temple where Sri Krishna is worshipped as Parthasarathi - the Charioteer to Arjuna. Allikeni, refers to a pond full of lily! In a departure from other temple sculptures, the approximately 10 ft tall Idol of Parthasarathi often referred as Moolavar (Main dirty) inside the sanctum sactorum sports a moustache, which is unique to only this temple. In contrast, the Utsav moorti or the idol which is used to circumabulate the temple during poojas and special occasions, has a face marked with wounds made by the arrows during the 18 days kurukshetra or mahabharata war. One can see the consort of Parthasarathi- Sri Mahalakshmi, referred to here as Vedavalli Thayar. The temple was first built by the Cholas in the 6th century and subsequently other kings, added structures to the main temple. One can find sanctums for Sri Narasimhar, Sri Ranganathar, Sri seetha ramar, Sri thayar And Sri Anjaneya/ Hanuman. One must visit this temple to blissfully explore the magnificence and the divinity of Sri Krishna and Mahalaxmi.

While it may not be worth visiting a second time, the initial experience is truly memorable.

The facility is well-maintained with helpful staff and also includes an overpriced gift shop and food court.
Awesome aquarium with a wide variety of fishes! 🐠 The planning & display are amazing, with fishes divided according to their natural habitats like coastal waters, deep ocean, & mangroves. 🌊 One of the most eye-catching attractions is the Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ show at 2:00 PM, which lasts for 15 minutes. The underwater tunnel🚶‍♀️ is also very impressive & gives a thrilling experience. Guides are also available for school children to help them learn more about the fish. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for kids & families👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 to explore marine life up close✨.

Good aquarium with different species of fishes. They are arranged according to the depth they are found. The deep section in cool with 180 degree aquarium. The mermaid show is good for kids, but for the rest it is ok. The cafeteria inside has limited food options with average taste.

Excellent aquarium!!! Great experience!!! The aquarium is a great place to spend some quality time, not only for adults but also good for kids. A great learning opportunity for the kids, especially for inculcating the need for conservation and generating awareness that if they don't reduce pollution, they may not be able to see all these beautiful creatures. The collection includes many rare fishes and fishes with unique characteristics. The aquarium has clean washrooms evenly spaced. They also have a mermaid show and fish feeding in one of the biggest marine aquariums. A special shoutout to Mr. Thyagu, who was passionate to explain almost all the exhibits and characteristics of various fishes. He has a vast wealth of knowledge which he shares when hosting the fish feeding show. Overall a great experience.

I visited Marine Kingdom today with my friend, and it was a wonderful experience! The ticket price was ₹1350 for two adults (₹675 per person). From the ticket counter to the exit, all the staff were very polite, humble, and helpful. One thing to note — there’s no re-entry after you exit, and this rule is mentioned clearly at multiple places. The staff also inform visitors about it when entering, so make sure to explore everything before leaving. After purchasing the tickets, we received an entry card which is used for both entry and exit. Inside, there’s a VR experience area where you can pay ₹200 extra if you’d like to try it. Then comes the main attraction — the beautifully designed aquariums filled with a wide variety of colorful fish. The underwater tunnel is definitely the highlight! Watching stingrays and sharks swimming right above my head was an unforgettable experience. There’s also an area where you can touch starfish under staff supervision, which was really fun. Before exiting, there’s a cafeteria where we bought one popcorn and one egg puff for ₹200 — a bit pricey, but okay for the experience. Next to it, there’s a souvenir shop selling cute plushies, keychains, caps, T-shirts, and more. After that, you’ll find another cafeteria with two food stalls — we tried Maggi and a Belgian waffle, which cost ₹300. Outside, there’s yet another cafeteria area with 4–5 different food stalls. A big plus is the free luggage locker near the entrance — super convenient for visitors! Overall, Marine Kingdom is a great place to visit — clean, well-organized, and worth the experience!

Located on Marina Beach Road in Chennai, it holds significance as one of the historical places in the city. Visitors can explore Swami Vivekananda's chambers and view exhibits featuring photos from his tours of America.
Vivekananda House is a must-visit heritage site in Chennai, rich with history and spiritual significance. The place beautifully preserves the legacy of Swami Vivekananda and offers a peaceful, inspiring atmosphere. The exhibits are well-organized and informative, showcasing his life, teachings, and his historic stay here. The meditation room is especially calming, perfect for quiet reflection. Located right by the Marina Beach, it’s a great spot for both tourists and locals who are interested in culture and philosophy. Highly recommended!

I recently visited Vivekananda House and had an inspiring experience. The place is well-maintained and beautifully showcases the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. One of the highlights of my visit was the 4D VR show, which took us through Swami Vivekananda's powerful and spiritual journey in a truly immersive way. The visuals, sound, and storytelling were amazing—it felt like I was walking alongside him through different phases of his life, especially his journey to the West and his speech at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago. It gave me a deeper understanding of his vision, thoughts, and contribution to Indian philosophy. Overall, it's a must-visit place for anyone interested in history, spirituality, or just looking for inspiration. I left the place feeling motivated and proud of our rich cultural heritage.

Vivekananda House is located right opposite Marina Beach, so the road outside is usually busy — better to plan your visit accordingly. Inside, it’s a peaceful and well-maintained place. The highlights are: 1. VR photography with Swami Vivekananda — a nice experience. 2. Museum exhibits from the time of Swami Vivekananda’s visit in 1897, along with displays related to Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Hindu philosophy, and Indian culture. 3. Meditation hall, offering a calm and silent space. 4. 3D movie of Swami Vivekananda’s famous 1893 Chicago speech, which is presented very well. If you’re a follower of Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, or interested in their ideologies, this place will feel meaningful. Even otherwise, it’s a good museum-like experience and worth visiting at least once

It’s a great place with high spiritual vibes. There is a Meditation room, a VR room where you can see Swami Vivekananda’s story till he went to Chicago. There is a 3D theatre which shows the Swami Vivekananda’s speech at world religious parliament in Chicago. You can feel Swamiji’s aura present in this room when you meditate. The entry ticket is only 50₹, which I feel is very nominal. Outside there is a book stall also they run few yoga and spiritual courses as well. You can see the Marina beach from the top floor. It has got a beautiful view. Had a great experience! I would highly recommend visiting this place.

Situated opposite to the Marina Beach. This is like a museum of Swami Vivekananda, where you can see the photos with the timelines of his life. Very neatly maintained. There are are couple of theatres inside the museum where his Chicago speech, his early life are been portrayed. It will take some time in order to visit the museum. There is also a mediation hall where you can sit and meditate which is described as the place where he used to meditate when he came to Chennai. They do have a bookstore where they sell his books. The ticket charges ₹50 per head. They will also take a photo free of cost and can be downloaded from the link they provide.

Tiger Cave, located about 5 km from Mahabalipuram in the Saluvankuppam region, is a picturesque retreat for nature enthusiasts. The site features an 8th-century Hindu temple with tiger-head carvings and a well-maintained lawn surrounded by palm and casuarina trees. It's a popular picnic spot where families can enjoy outdoor activities and even have a photoshoot. Visitors can explore the rock-cut temple and an old Shiva temple on the premises.
The 1st site & is less visited site when coming from Chennai. It surely is underrated. Tiger cave has tigers all around it and elephants on its right side. There are also huge rock formations and a small cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It also has inscriptions on its walls. Well maintained by ASI with gardens and the other side exit opens to the beach ⛱️.

Tiger Cave, built around the 8th century during the Pallava dynasty, is a rock-cut temple known for its carved Yali sculptures (mythical lion-elephant figures) and ancient Pallava art. Location & Access: Located about 5 km north of Mahabalipuram in Saluvankuppam along ECR. Easily accessible by car or taxi. 40rs entry fee. Open 9 AM to 5 PM. Highlights: Peaceful surroundings, beautiful sculptures, and a clean, calm area. Best visited in the morning for a quiet experience and photography.

Nice peacefully place to spend and evening with family. Kids can enjoy playing in the open grass and parents can sit around chit chatting. The only precaution to take is to be watchful of the small holes in the ground, not sure about what creatures residency in them could be mangoose or snakes. If visitors can help not littering and spoiling the ambience it would stay this way. Better to be visiting on a less sunny day or during evenings.

First monument complex on ECR while going to Mahabalipuram from Chennai city. Scan at the gate and pay for tickets online to get discounts . It is a good picnic spot also, with fun zone beside the main park. Ample car parking and some local refreshments available outside the entry gate. Visit during a sunny or lightly cloudy day for good photos. Place can be covered within 30-40 mins walking slowly.

Nice and calm place to visit. The rock carvings are beautiful and show great ancient craftsmanship. Good spot for photos and a short walk near the beach. Clean and well-maintained, but it can get hot during the day, so better to visit in the morning or evening.

Rock sculpture and archeological site on Chennai Mahabalipuram route. Serene and clean environment soothes during walk through rocks. Beach at backside also very nice with whirling waves.
Abhijit G — Google review
The place is very peaceful with greeny grass ground and trees. The tiger cave and monument rocks are well maintained with security facilities. Tiger beach is at the back of cave. Families can enjoy a good time at weekend with monuments and beach at same time. Food shops are very few. Better to get inside with food. Entrance and parking tickets are there. Less crowded, so really a good spot to spend weekends.

In Mahabalipuram, all the main sightseeing spots are within 2 km of periphery but this particular monument is located about 6 km from the town centre. If you have already visited the Panch Ratha, the Butter Ball, the Krishna Mandap, the Varahi Temple, and the Shore Temple, you can skip this temple. It's not particularly special, so just take a look at the photos instead. Thank you for allowing me to save you some time!

Madras War Cemetery, established by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, is a solemn site dedicated to honoring the fallen soldiers of East and South India from World War II. Similar to other Commonwealth cemeteries like Singapore's Kranji Cemetery, it provides a peaceful sanctuary despite its location alongside a bustling road. The well-maintained grounds and the Madras 1914-1918 War Memorial at the back stand as poignant reminders of sacrifice and valor.
Beautiful place with good , calm atmosphere... The grass are nicely trimmed have a nice appearance. Neat and tidy place without any single trash. Its a cemetery of the warriors who fought death in world war 1st . Its a good place for taking photographs and for spending time for our relaxation. Its having a beautiful view with lots of flowers and green arch... Its having no entrance fees.
Jeffin O — Google review
The Madras War Cemetery is a solemn place dedicated to soldiers who lost their lives during the Second World War. It holds numerous graves that remind us of the sacrifices made in a war beyond anyone’s control. One drawback is that visitors are often not allowed inside, as it is managed directly by a private organization from England. Many times you may only be able to view it from the outside. It’s well-maintained and peaceful, but the limited access can feel a little disappointing. Overall, it’s worth a short visit if you’re passing by — you can take a quick look, click a photo, and pay your respects. Not a place that takes much time, but meaningful in its own way.

It's almost so serene and peaceful it's literally on the sides of the road and yet once you enter it becomes so quite and just so soothing! It's a beautiful place and really well maintained. You can go there Nd sit for a long time and not notice the traffic noises! Definitely quite a wonderful place and must visit on any low days you have. Just get in there sit and it will soothe you!

Beautiful and serene place located along the Urban noisy road and dusty air. Entry is free! But when you are in the place you don't feel that it is located in a busy area, the environment is very clean and very well maintained. It is a graveyard of first and second world war civilians. The person who maintains the place is very friendly!!

Beautifully maintained ground. The grass well trimmed, hardly any weeds, beautiful flowers. Not a single piece of trash can be seen on the grounds. With Chennai dry and hardly any grass, this is a total contrast. It is not a huge area though. You probably can cover the whole area within 1/2 hour or so. If you are travelling a long distance just to visit this site, you may be disappointed.
Sankar M — Google review
One greenish and serene location amidst of Urban noise and dusty air. It will be really very calm that you would start feeling the silence. It is actually a memorial built for those who spared their blood in World War. If you just stay for a few minutes and stare at the cemetery, it would drag you to a some parts of history. Every stone there has a life and story behind it. It is very well maintained. The garden is exquisitely maintained well.

The accommodation includes rooms, cottages, and villas designed for relaxation.
I was here with my family for 2 nights. The stay was amazing and we just didn't want to end it.All of the staff were on their toes providing exceptional service making our stay quite a memorable one. Few people who were just stand out were Ravi from south indian kitchen, Anbu and Sivam from sea full restaurant, Prajakta and Ganesh from front office. The ever smiling faces and handing us what we needed before we even could ask was just amazing. The evening activity at the beach and the time spent in the pool were worth each penny. The housekeeping staff who so attended our rooms made sure that we stayed peacefully and did everything possible to make our room top notch...All in all it was a top notch...See you all when I see you and a big thankyou and finally "Waah Taj Fisherman's cove" - A place to remember....

Our recent stay at Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort & Spa, Mahabalipuram, was an outstanding family experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and warmth of the staff stood out. The check-in process was seamless and staff nandini welcomed with genuine smiles and refreshing drinks. We stayed at beach view room and loved the serene ocean view. Dining options were good and Seagull provided us variety of options . Just a note that order usually takes time so need to plan it accordingly. The pool area and private beach access made it perfect for both relaxation and family fun.Overall, Taj Fisherman’s Cove is an ideal destination for a peaceful family getaway.
Santosh Y — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience at this 5-star property. The entire room floor became wet and dangerously slippery whenever the air conditioner was on — a serious safety hazard for kids and elderly guests. I kept the balcony doors fully closed as advised by the hotel, but visible gaps still allowed humid air to enter, leading to widespread condensation. This could also indicate a faulty AC or humidity control issue, which is unacceptable for a luxury resort. The bathroom drain also had poor flow and stagnant water. Several older reviews mention similar issues, so it’s clear these are not isolated incidents. After I reported the problems, staff offered a small discount and a gift during checkout. While they didn’t explicitly ask me not to review, the gesture and timing gave the impression that they were trying to discourage negative feedback. In my view, this is ethically questionable and may partly explain why relatively few negative reviews appear online despite ongoing serious safety issues. Overall, a serious lapse in both safety and integrity. Not expected from a reputed Taj property. I would strongly caution families and senior citizens to avoid this hotel until these long-standing safety and maintenance issues are properly fixed.

We went for a family trip (10 ppl). Had issues with the checking-in time and had to wait around an hour. Be there by 2 pm. The rooms were small, but the view was good. Good room service. The swimming pool is nice but only has a depth of 4 feet. The food in the buffet is good. The desserts, I felt, were lacking. Other than that, awesome experience!!
Anadya D — Google review
I stayed in what they called a "Superior Room". I did not realize that was their basic room. It was small, with barely enough wiggle room especially if you have a couple of large bags. The service however is ridiculously amazing. We were there on a Diwali weekend. The place was jam packed. In spite of that the service was spectacular. Every person on the floor was willingly and actively taking care of the guests. The location of the resort is right on the beach. Very convenient to just walk up and take a dip.

This resort is an absolute gem! One of the finest places slightly in the outskirts of South Chennai. Amenities and activities: All the amenities like indoor games, gym, library, etc. were great! They also offered activities like archery, cycling, croquette. The cycles were bad to do inside the resort. I recommend folks to skip this as it might endure pain due to bad conditions. Rest of them were good. Rooms: We took a room with garden view. The room is spacious and beautiful! The only problem we faced was with the drain in the bathroom. It was slow. Apart from that, everything else in the room were comfortable and clean! The rooms were a bit pricier on the day that we went! Food: The in-dining options had plenty of items from different cuisines. But they are so so expensive! My opinion is the food is excellent, but not for this high price! The breakfast options were great and completely fulfilling! Overall, a great and a memorable experience for us and I would recommend this resort for a good getaway stay!

Our experience at Taj Fishermen's Cove Resort was truly exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff's friendly and attentive service made us feel right at home. Special thanks to Mr. John, whose outstanding and personalized service truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommend for a perfect getaway!"
Chethana R — Google review
It was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We booked a cottage or villa for two nights, costing over 50,000 rupees per night, but the room was very small and the sofa was too tiny to relax on. The phone in the room was broken and couldn’t connect to the front desk. Even though they said they would fix it, no one ever came. I would have been more comfortable staying at home. The breakfast buffet was almost entirely Indian food. To make things worse, we went there to celebrate my child’s birthday, and there was no celebration at all, even though we had informed them at check-in. That has never happened anywhere else. We were even told to wait outside because the breakfast area was crowded. And although it’s supposed to be a pet-friendly hotel, there were stray dogs on the property. It was terrible. I will never go back and will tell everyone I know about this experience. I feel sorry for anyone who accidentally books this place. It was the worst 6th birthday ever.

Chennai Citi Centre is a premier destination for leisure, entertainment, and shopping in the heart of Chennai. It offers a wide array of shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences. The mall's striking architecture captivates visitors upon arrival, while its multiple luxury brands and expansive floors make it an enticing shopping haven.
Chennai Citi Center is a popular shopping mall located in the heart of Chennai. Situated in the Mylapore area. This mall has a long history and was once one of the most popular shopping destinations in Chennai. it is known for its vibrant shopping experience and wide range of entertainment options. The mall features a variety of retail outlets, ranging from national and international brands to local stores, offering everything from fashion and electronics to lifestyle products. However, it now feels quite outdated, with fewer shops and a somewhat dull atmosphere compared to its earlier days. Recently, VGP opened a kids' play area here, which has added some fresh energy and vibrance to the place. While this is a positive step, the mall still needs more new, attractive stores to truly regain its charm. Overall, it's a decent spot for a quick visit, but it could be much better with some thoughtful updates and modern amenities.

City Centre Mall was once one of the most attractive and vibrant places in the city, but now it has lost much of its charm and appeal. Around five years ago, the mall used to be well-maintained, bright, and full of energy. Families, friends, and youngsters often visited for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Every corner looked clean, modern, and welcoming. However, over the years, the condition of the mall has gradually declined. Today, the ceilings in many areas are broken or damaged, creating an unsafe environment for visitors. The lighting is dull, and several shops appear closed or poorly maintained. The once-lively atmosphere has turned into a dull and neglected space. Even the escalators and lifts do not function properly at times, adding to the inconvenience of visitors. The management seems to have lost interest in keeping the mall in good condition, and this negligence is clearly visible in every part of the building. What was once a proud landmark of the city now looks old and unsafe. People who visited before can easily notice the difference. To restore its former glory, the mall needs serious renovation, better maintenance, and proper safety measures.

Worst Mall in Chennai Citi Centre is the worst mall I’ve ever been to. The food court is empty and sad. KFC is the best option, and even that has no proper food left. Cold chicken, half the menu not available, and the staff look tired and lost. The whole place feels dead. Dirty walls, broken lights, and a weird smell everywhere. Most shops are closed. It feels like an abandoned building, not a mall. The theatre is a nightmare. Drunk men were shouting, people were talking loudly on their phones, and others came just to eat and chat. No one watched the movie. No staff to control the mess. The screen and sound were bad too. This place is a total waste of time. Feels more like a slum than a mall. Avoid it completely.

Citi Centre used to be one of my favorite spots in Chennai, full of life, top brands, and buzzing crowds. These days it feels quieter. Many stalls are shut and most of the big names have moved out. Visited for a day outing and had an overall pleasant experience. The food provided was tasty, though the selection was somewhat limited. The pool area stood out — it was clean and well-maintained, perfect for faimly but the time felt limited. Common areas were also tidy and well-kept, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming environment. While a bit more variety in the food options would have enhanced the experience, it's still a great spot for a quick getaway or group outing.

Ah, what a gem of a place! Truly a masterclass in how to make you miss your college days, even the worst ones. Perfect for a “corporate outing” if your company’s goal is to test how much nonsense people can tolerate before they break. The rules? Straight out of a history museum—maybe even older. And those emergency contact numbers they give you? Brilliant touch. Nothing screams customer care like endless ringing and zero answers. Honestly, 5 stars for showing me exactly where not to go again.

I recently visited the resort to attend a friend’s wedding held at their marriage hall. The venue was spacious, clean, and very well-organized. The ambiance of the resort is calm and refreshing, with plenty of open space and beach access that makes it ideal for both events and leisure. It's a great place to unwind with family or friends, and also perfect for hosting memorable occasions like weddings or receptions.

Perfect One-Day Family Getaway! We stayed here for just one day with family and had a wonderful time! The resort is well-maintained, clean, and beautifully landscaped. The staff was polite and helpful from check-in to check-out. The rooms were spacious, neat, and had all the essentials. The kids enjoyed the pool area, and we loved the peaceful nature vibes. The food was tasty and had good variety for both kids and adults. It’s a great place for a short escape from the city, and perfect for families looking for a relaxing and fun day. Definitely coming back for a longer stay next time!

Im writing this review after a much disappointment service experience at green coconut resort. I made a enquiry for my family wedding event planned on november 2025. I came to hear about this place through my friend who came here for a wedding event. And so he refered a number to contact Green coconut resort and the call was picked by one of their staff named Jalal. As I'm new to chennai i dont know the local language here and I was supposed to converse in English. I called this guy called jalal and enquired about a 1000 pax wedding event and also about their room catogories and also the food they are offering for the event. Right from the first minute, the sales person didn't even allowed me to tell my requirements and he was constantly blaberring on the other side in his poor gramatical english. He questioned me about a same event details for multiple times which tested my patience and he was showing some attitude in his speech as well. He said he will call back and give the quotes for the wedding event, rooms and also for the food in an hour time. To the public reference, Our event was about a 1000 head wedding event, accomodating around 65rooms in their resort and the food from their restaurant . I expected a better spokes person from their side. But Till now i didn't get a call back from that sales guy . This guy totally ruined my plans of my event happening in their resort. I spent a whole day in choosing this resort, but all my efforts vanished by this sales guy. I'm very much surprised like how a renowned resort like Green coconut resort at muttukadu is placing these type of staffs in an all important sales department and u guys are making the Guests like us feeling very much to the disappoinment. It was a horrible experience from my side. I don't know how they withstand in this hospitality field with such type of services.

I had a truly pleasant stay at Green Coconut Resort. The ambiance was calm, quiet, and refreshing—perfect for a peaceful retreat from the city hustle. The surroundings were lush and well-maintained, offering a serene atmosphere that made the stay even more relaxing. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring comfort throughout. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. I especially enjoyed the poolside and garden areas—ideal for unwinding and soaking in the natural beauty. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to recharge in a tranquil setting.

Hi! We as a team visited Green Coconut Resort for our team outing, and it was truly a wonderful experience! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The rooms were neat and well-maintained, and the food varieties were impressive — especially the fish dishes, they were absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, the reception team responded quickly to any request, and every staff member we met was kind, polite, and welcoming. I genuinely loved the place — just wish we had more time to spend there. Huge thanks to Green Coconut Resort for the hospitality and to our office heads for organizing such a beautiful and memorable trip. 🤩🥰😍😋❤️

Mr Sankar has taken care of the guest very well. We were 30pax and he has arranged a private hall for our friends on a day trip event. It was fun filled experience. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Definitely will consider for our next event.

Our team of professionals visited this green coconut resort at muttukadu. It is a real good experience for us. The campus is very beautifully maintained. Service is good. Staff are cordial. We had an aweful time. Thank you green team

We visited this resort for a team outing and made use of the covered hall and open ground for our activities. The place is well-maintained and spacious, though it does not offer a sea or beach view as it is located on the opposite side of the ocean. The vegetarian food was quite good compared to similar resorts, but the non-vegetarian special biryani was disappointing and lacked flavor. The grounds are well-kept, and the staff members were courteous and friendly.

The Country Club Jade Beach Resort is a luxurious 5-star beach resort in Chennai, offering top-notch recreational and clubbing options for those who appreciate luxury. The property boasts stunning beach views from almost every angle, making it an ideal spot for corporate outings. With modern amenities like a clubhouse, gym, and multi-cuisine restaurant, the resort provides some of the finest suites available.
Our recent stay at The Country Club Jade Beach Resort was an experience of pure comfort and relaxation. The room was spacious and well-appointed, providing a perfect sanctuary after a long day of activities. The resort's attention to guest comfort truly made us feel at home. The culinary offerings were exceptional, with the Bay Watch Restaurant providing a delightful multi-cuisine experience. We were also impressed with the range of facilities available, including the gym, swimming pool, and spa, all of which contributed to a holistic and rejuvenating stay. The resort's prime location on the Bay of Bengal beach stretch offers breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions. Its proximity to Mahabalipuram and Chennai makes it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers. The resort's dedicated banquet facilities also make it a popular venue for events and gatherings. We were particularly impressed by the efficiency and warmth of the front desk staff, who were always ready to assist with a smile. The availability of indoor games added to the recreational options. Overall, The Country Club Jade Beach Resort is a perfect getaway that combines excellent facilities with a serene environment, and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay.

Don't ever buy country club membership, my total money and time wasted. We had booked this resort for 2 days but staying there 1 day was very difficult, bed was dirty, bed sheets were smelling bad, room service was not good, food was worst, 2 stars for room as it was little spacious, other than that 1 star is also too much for everything else. They just want us to pay for everything but not hive service for anything. We should have booked a different resort for same price.
Mahesh K — Google review
The place has kind of lost its yesteryear's glory. If only they could maintain the place better, they could be on the way to compete with the big wigs. They served the buffet on the table as the number of people were less. That being said I'd give food a definite 4 stars- 1 star less as nobody is perfect ever. The swimming pool was functional and we spent a considerable amount of time at the pool. The changing rooms require an overhaul. The private beach was good but they could maintain the surroundings better and control the entry of stray cows there. The indoor games area can have better lighting and be beautified a bit more for aesthetics. The children's play area too needs a major overhaul to have the place functional and safe for kids.
S K — Google review
Food is costly for non member & no. Of items are very less in buffet lunch & dinner. House keeping to be improved a lot, no restrictions for smokers, they should be sent out immediately.

Lunch is okay, can't say its good. Swimming pool is not well maintained, the floor is broken, chances to injure your foot. Then after swimming pool shower facilities and bathroom is not hygiene. Indoor game area is very hot. Only one fan is there. Ac Is not working. Overall experience is not satisfied compared with our previous visit.

Nice rooms, good maintenance, super clean beach view resort, value in price, restaurant, swimming pool, spa everything is good and fine
Padma P — Google review
Nice and cozy place. Family oriented place. The food was absolutely fabulous. The staff were very friendly. The pool is medium in size and got very crowded few times throughout the day. Very few indoor games, no A/C in the games area. Small park attached with basic playing amenities for kids. Reception area is quite hot to be in as it is not A/Ced. Good location and nice clean beach attached to the property. Worth a visit.
Paul V — Google review
Nice place hangover with family and friends for a day. Swimming pool is well maintained. Additional charges for using the pool, charging 100 for 2hrs is fine when compare to our local swimming pools inside the city. My kids were enjoyed in pool, park and beach. Provided free face painting washable was really nice, for kids and adults. Varieties are very less but worth for money since the charge is less compare to neighboring resorts. All together it is good.

Gamemaster Aravind was very friendly and patient with the three 10 year olds we"d gone with. They loved the whole "lockout" experience and according to them, would rate it a million stars :)

The games were excellent but No refreshment was given even after paying high amount. No discount nor complimentary was given. This place is 😎but can be better. We have tried one of the room - Night in bhangarh. They were really challenging and made us really use our heads. Especially bhangarh, which was a dark room puzzle. The effects plus the puzzles kept us super invested. Plus the staff here were friendly and helpful. It was a joyful experience inside the room and we can't wait to try out the other rooms as well. The restroom was available. The ambiance & seating area was great.

The staff is extremely helpful and sweet. Me and my team did the Cabin in the Woods and we had immense fun. We managed to win because the hints we're promptly given and the set-up was amazing. Despite a small mix-up they immediately came to inform and help. Definitely a must visit.

Located in Chennai, ECR Speedway is a popular go-kart arena offering an exhilarating experience for both teenagers and adults. The well-managed facility provides basic driving instructions, safety guidelines, and rules for the riders. With prices starting from 400 rupees for 5 minutes, visitors can enjoy single and twin-seater go-karts on the track. The atmosphere is described as amazing with incredibly friendly staff.
I would recommend this place to anyone who loves carting. Coming from bangalore the prices here are cheaper and the carts r in good condition too. The tracks are small and one curve is really bumpy

Best place for Adventure Racing and Adult karting in chennai. Good place to chillout with friends gang. Tariff was quite higher but try atleast once for racing experience. Cafeteria hygiene need to be improved.
Abirm007 — Google review
Karts are maintained in good condition. If you are good at driving then go time based option. For beginners it’s good to choose lap based option for better experience. Double seat kart is also available where one can drive and other can simply sit and enjoy the ride.
Arivoli C — Google review
We visited on 2nd August 2025 between 3–4 PM. The crowd was less, but we still had to wait for around 45 minutes, as the waiting depends on how long previous players take for their rides. We tried both twin kart and solo kart: Twin kart: Extremely hard to turn, which made it quite painful to handle. Speed was decent, but the steering effort was too much. Solo kart: Much better experience with smooth turns and good speed. Waiting time: ~45 mins Prices: Vary between weekdays and weekends. Overall, it’s a fun place to enjoy if you’re prepared for some waiting.
Rajesh R — Google review
Pretty cool place overall with a decent size track. A few minor things could really improve the whole experience. 1. They only take local India credit cards. Anyone visit from out of country must have enough cash. This posed a problem for our group. 2. Some vehicles worked better than others but the engine is so close with zero barrier, 2 people in our group got burned just trying to put their seatbelt on. 3. Hygiene of helmets and bathrooms could use more focus.
Zachary P — Google review
Visited ECR Speedway last week with a bunch of friends and had a great time overall! The track is fun, the vibe is energetic, and it’s a nice way to break out of routine and enjoy something different. Only downside was the hygiene of the helmets—they really need a refresh because the smell was quite off-putting. Would definitely suggest they improve that. Apart from that, it’s a solid spot for some friendly racing and a fun outing with your group. Would go again (maybe with my own helmet next time 😄).
Jisha K — Google review
Had an amazing experience at ECR Speedways. The place is extremely well managed — from the smooth booking process to the friendly and professional staff. The track is well maintained, and the karts are in great condition, making the whole experience super fun and safe. Definitely one of the best go-karting spots around! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a thrilling time
Ashwin R — Google review
ECR Speedway – Disappointing Experience with Staff Bias Went to ECR Speedway excited to try the adult karts. The staff clearly told us that the age limit is 10+ for adult karts, and we were 11 and 13 years old, so we thought it was all good. But then they suddenly changed the reason and said we can’t ride because our legs might not reach the brakes, which made no sense – we were clearly tall enough and even tried to show them. To make it worse, they gave a kid’s kart to someone else who came after us and didn’t offer us the same option. No explanation, no proper reason. We were just made to sit in the twin kart, which wasn’t what we came for. Felt like straight-up favouritism and very unfair. We went there to have fun but ended up feeling disappointed. The karts and track might be good, but the way the staff handled the situation was poor. Not a great experience – hope they treat all visitors fairly in the future.
