1Shejoje Poshtel Hostel

Hotel
Shejoje Poshtel Hostel is a budget-friendly capsule hotel in Cebu City, offering simple rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi and a vibrant lounge. The capsules provide comfortable sleep for individuals of average height, but may be less spacious for taller guests. Despite the slightly alarming journey to reach the hostel, travelers found it to be a satisfying and safe accommodation option. Guests appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, including hot showers available round-the-clock.
The price is right for what you get. I used a solo capsule and had a good sleep, thanks to the air conditioning and pleasant fragrance. Don't expect high-end amenities—this place is all about affordability with decent quality. It's ideal for solo travelers who aren’t too fussy. The space is small, so renters should be open-minded and exercise common sense. Despite the compact size, security is reliable—even bags left outside the room felt safe. The shower and comfort room on the 2nd floor are spacious (avoid the 1st-floor bathroom—it's too cramped). Convenient location near 7/11 and a laundry shop. Not suitable for families or those with babies. Perfect for solo, practical travelers.

Its ok. Nothing fancy. ✅ Clean ✅ Quiet ✅ Safe All capsuled have lock. Aircon, double matters. Mixed gender dorms. Showers and toilets are EXTREMELY CLEAN ✨. Little restawran Next door is delicious and cheap. 5 minutes walk from local market and small food court. 15 minutes walk and you are in the old city. Lots of Very cheap shopping. Electronics, clothes,... And lots pretty Filipino university student eye candy. 😁.

I recently stayed at Shejoje Poshtel Hostel in Cebu City and found it to be a well-positioned, solid choice for travellers on a budget. Key observations: ✅ What stood out Great location: It’s on D. Jakosalem Street, in the Ramos/Cogon Ramos area, within walking distance of several local attractions. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception: Convenience features which were appreciated. Friendly and helpful staff: Several guest reviews highlight good service and responsiveness. ⚠️ Areas for improvement Shared bathrooms: The bathrooms are communal rather than en-suite, which is fine for a hostel but worth noting if you prefer private. Some budget-level fittings: While comfortable, expect basic finishes and amenities consistent with a hostel rather than full-hotel luxury. One review mentioned “the bathrooms are improvable.”
Windee T — Google review
Great place to stay if you just want to have a place to stay overnight. Capsules are clean and they have dedicated plugs. Wifi is also great.
Sophia N — Google review
Clean and comfortable. Was actually quiet until another client from a different capsule started playing music with their phone. Went on for longer than 10 mins; music was still there when I left. Told the keepers about it as I was leaving, but they insisted there was nothing.
Stefhanie A — Google review
As a budgetarian, place is good. Environment is very much good. Cleanliness ☑️☑️☑️
Ellyson R — Google review
Super small place. Luggages are scattered everywhere, every 2 capsules share one ladder. The bathrooms/showers are super tiny. If you are 1.73+m high, most probably the capsules are not going to fit you, or you might not be able to close your door. All in all it's a clean place with strong AC and fan in the capsules. Location is good. Wifi quite weak.
Kata T — Google review
Very convenient location. Nice atmosphere. The staff are super friendly. I spent a couple of nights here. Alvin and Eve were cordial. I forgot my sunglasses when I departed for Bohol. On my return almost a week later, they had kept it aside for me. Will visit again when in Cebu City.

Hostel
HappyNest Hostel Cebu is a budget-friendly accommodation option located near Fort San Pedro and Magellans Cross. The hostel offers various room options, including dormitories with bunk beds. Guests can enjoy the informal cafe and amenities such as parking and WiFi. The staff is known for being friendly, and the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Some guests noted that noise from other rooms could be heard. Overall, it's recommended for an overnight stay before catching a flight or ferry.
Happynest Hostel provided an exceptional experience that exceeded all our expectations! Sir Chris together with his team truly went the extra mile to meet our needs and ensure our stay was comfortable. We were especially grateful for their efforts to provide Muslim-friendly meals, which showcased their attention to detail and care for their guests. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfect for backpackers and the dorms offered great value. Despite being part of a large group, the staff managed everything seamlessly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We truly appreciate their commitment to outstanding service and look forward to more fruitful partnerships in the future. Highly recommended!

Tidy place BUT the noise and light coming from the kitchen area is so loud if you’re on the ground floor in ‘There premium rooms’ at least shut the kitchen at like 10.30pm not 12pm it Undermines the whole place. 3 months travel all through Asia and never heard anything like it. Also can you turn the hallway lights off way to bright. You should build a wall between the kitchen and bedrooms in the hallway easy fix.
Earth W — Google review
I stayed here for 12 days, and sadly, my experience was far from pleasant. Here are the key issues that made my stay uncomfortable and frustrating: 1. No Water Early in the Morning On my second day, I woke up at 7 AM to get ready for my 8 AM class, only to find there was no water at all—not even enough to brush my teeth. There was no warning, no announcement. For someone on a tight schedule, this was extremely inconvenient and disappointing. 2. My Belongings Were Moved Without My Permission When I returned later that day, I discovered my things had been moved from Room 1 to Room 5 without my knowledge or consent. When I asked the staff, they said the room needed to be cleaned. I’ve worked in hospitality, and I know that moving a guest’s belongings without permission is a serious breach of trust. What made it worse was that no one even helped me move. I had just come from training, exhausted and running a fever, yet I had to carry all my things alone. I messaged the Airbnb host to report it—only to be completely ignored. No apology, no explanation. Just *seen-zoned*. 3. Miscommunication About Room Availability I was supposed to check out on May 2 at 12 noon, but on the night of May 1, I asked the receptionist if I could extend. She checked the system and confirmed that I could. So I didn’t check out the next day. But by 1 PM on May 2, I received a message saying there were no beds available for female guests. That kind of last-minute notice is unacceptable. Had I been informed earlier, I would have checked out and saved myself the stress. 4. Unwelcoming Staff The staff was cold and unapproachable. No smiles, no greetings—just blank stares. It made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable, especially for a solo traveler like me. It felt like I wasn’t even welcome there. 5. Poor Facilities The WiFi was slow and unreliable, and the air-conditioning didn’t work properly. For a hostel that markets itself as comfortable and convenient, these basic amenities should be a priority. To top it off, after all the issues I raised, I was still charged ₱200 for a late checkout —even though the mix-up was entirely on their end. "Wala diay ka na inform?" was all they said. Clearly, I wasn't informed. Kung ni-ingon pa daan ang front desk atong nangutana ko if pwede ko mo-extend nga wa nay available bed, wa untay problema. FUNNY KAAYO MO SA. While the hostel has a good location, that doesn’t make up for the poor service, unprofessional handling of guest concerns, and lack of basic courtesy. If you’re going to run a hospitality business, you should know how to take care of your guests. If not, why run one at all?
Angel O — Google review
Very unprofessional experience. I contacted the hostel to confirm availability, and they assured me the room was available. Almost 1 hr before ma check in, they took the listing down and claimed the room was already taken. If the room was unavailable, they should not have confirmed it in the first place. This shows a lack of proper management and reliability. I wouldn’t recommend this hostel if you’re looking for a place you can actually count on.
Julie M — Google review
If you're looking for an affordable and clean place to stay while exploring Cebu, Happynest Hostel is a great choice. The rooms are simple but well-maintained, perfect for a short stay—especially if you just need a comfortable spot to sleep or store your things while you're out and about. It's ideal for budget travelers who want a convenient and no-fuss accommodation in the city.
Ryl C — Google review
In our first stay in 2024 it is highly recommended, but when we returned a year after the room was disgusting. First, the lock of the door was broken, Second, the bed was noisy (you know what I mean) and Third, the previous guests left a food in the drawer and the hotel staff didn't clean thoroughly. The room was smelly.
Eugene I — Google review
The receptionist burped at us when we came in. They were men staring at us (as women) everywhere, in the room and in the hallway. It seemed like there were people living there permanently, we also had a lot of kids in the dorm room, who had their phone sounds on all night, let their alarm ring, turned the light on at 4 and screamed at each other. And they were also staring at us the whole time. The showers smelled like pee very badly and there was mold on the wall. Only the WiFi is good for writing angry reviews in the middle of the night because you can't sleep.
Leonana — Google review
Stay away from this place!! The room had a strong smell of bleach, the sheets were covered in mold. Don’t waste your money here.

Hostel
Cebu Backpackers Hostel is a hidden gem located in Colon, Cebu. The hostel offers small but functional rooms with comfortable beds. Although the location may seem a bit tricky to find at first, it's easy to locate once you know where to look. The family that runs the hostel is very kind and accommodating. While the breakfast included in the price could be improved, the WiFi is excellent and sufficient for work.
I can't understand the negative reviews. This was the best bed I had since 6 weeks in Phillipines! The bed has a proper blanket, which is crazy rare here. The room is small but cozy. AC works great. Hot shower works great. Staff members are chill, and the whole place is very quiet even when fully booked. Paid around 800 pesos for night, best value for money in Cebu. The location is near the busy central area, but on a side street, which makes it great.
Withkimmo — Google review
Three weeks ago, after our flights were canceled, we had to spend a night in Cebu City. Even though some time has passed, we still wanted to leave a review. We found this hostel while at the airport, contacted them via WhatsApp, and not only did they respond quickly, but we were also able to book a room without any issues. Everything turned out even better than expected! The service was excellent—everyone was so kind and helpful. The room had everything we needed, including a private bathroom, and it was clean and smelled great. The next morning, before continuing our journey, we got to enjoy the included breakfast. In the end, we had a comfortable night’s rest and even managed to explore the city’s main attractions.
Cielo T — Google review
Location is convenient for transport to the bus and is near food and a mall. Very local. However the room is like a shoebox. Almost impossible to navigate with any baggage 🧳. In addition, the water doesnt have strong pressure or heat. Breakfast was alright. The aircon is super loud. Disappointed for the cost.
Dimitris T — Google review
By the name itself, this is for backpackers only. They have 4 floors and don’t have elevator going up, so if you have a large luggage with you, you’ll have a hard time carrying it upto your room and they won’t even help you carry your things. The pantry and the lobby is very hot they don’t have AC or even a fan considering that it is a summer!
Lesly A — Google review
The rooms were not as big (as this hostel is catered towards backpackers) but still enough to accommodate my things. Hotel staff are patient and chill. The location is at the heart of cebu city. Very near the usual go-to places. The aircon was VERY cold probably because of the small room size, i love it!
Moon T — Google review
Not for those who prefer spacious rooms. You are paying for what you get. There is no elevator so not ideal for those who have luggage. Amenities nearby offset size of the room.
Joshua C — Google review
solo rooms in extension area... PROS: 1) comfy bed & aircon 2) affordable solo rooms (Php 600) and it comes with breakfast 3) convenient location. it is near tourist spots, pasalubong centers, and malls. 4) staff is accommodating CONS: 1) really small room 2) (shared) bathroom is also small—basically a bathroom with added shower head. wish there was more shower hooks though if area is really small. 3) ACs from the rooms are exhausted in the hallway, so it gets reallyyyy hot. might also pose as safety hazard because of all the heat getting accumulated in such small area. it gets so hot to the point that you can feel it on the door knob & on the walls inside the room. FOR IMPROVEMENT: maybe convert the bed to solo ones for more space. and please add mirrors inside the rooms. and more ventilation in the hallway. OVERALL, if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep at night, this is an okay place. but dont expect too much.
Lee — Google review
I liked the room—it was comfortable and smells clean. However, the bathroom could use some renovations and a deep cleaning, especially the shower, as the head was clogged with limescale (sarro) and didn’t provide good water flow. The location is convenient, with plenty of things to do nearby and lots of places to eat. You’ll find everything you need close by, and the internet was great. However, it’s also the highest security deposit I’ve paid in the Philippines, and they have a long list of rules with extra charges if there are any stains or damaged equipment when you leave. That’s fine, except the bed sheets already had stains when we arrived (we took pictures at check-in so they wouldn’t charge us!), and the shower didn’t work properly from the start due to the limescale. You get charged if you stain something but don’t get a discount if they give you a stained sheet or towel 😂😂 What really disappointed us was the early check-in policy. We arrived early, and while the room was ready, they wanted to charge an extra 100 pesos per hour to access it! I understand this is a budget hostel, but that policy made the experience feel cheap and tacky, more like a motel. If the room isn’t ready, I have no problem waiting until the official check-in time. But charging extra for a room that’s already available? That’s not great hospitality. Honestly, it feels like hospitality isn’t the business they should be in. Keep that in mind if you book here—it’s more of a motel than a hostel with policies like this.

Travelers Home Pension House is a well-regarded hostel situated in the center of Cebu City, close to significant historical sites and easily accessible from the seaport and bus terminal. The hostel provides various facilities such as a 24-hour reception, communal lounge, smoking area, and pet-friendly rooms. Additionally, guests can savor a complimentary breakfast and benefit from air conditioning during their stay.
We stayed just one night, because our flight from coron was delayed and we had to spend the night in cebu, to wait a ferry for Bohol. Everything was good. The location (near Mcdonalds and pier), room (clean and big enough) and receptionist.
Tom C — Google review
Stayed here for a few nights whilst in Cebu. It’s is a nice clean place located at the end of a night market. It can be a little off putting getting to it because if you arrive at night cars cannot get down there so you’ll have to walk to it which is about 2 mins from the other end of the street. The room was clean and the bed was big. Only downside to the bed was the one pillow and your head sinks quite a bit. No major gripe though. We had a tv in the room though which is good but we never used it. The provide soap, toothbrush and paste which is handy. There is free breakfast too that you’ll have to fill out your choices each day but the options are a bit of a mismatch. You get a free 15min massage based on how many days you’re there. We were there for two so we had a 30min free massage each. Definitely a good place to stay if you’re in a budget. The WiFi is good but resets each day but just head down to reception and they’ll provide a new code for you to use.

This hotel is right in the local market where is extremely busy and noisy. But it is very close to the port to go to Leyte and Bohol. But be careful with the tricycle drivers around here, at first we made the deal with them P50 for 2 pax to take us to the port but when we arrived he asked P100!! The room is big enough but the doorstop on the ground is very dangerous, it is not the right place to put it. We hit it at least 3 times in a day! I forgot my tank shirt in this hotel. At the beginning, I was not sure where I forgot, that is why I contacted to them to ask and after days checking and calling, finally they confirmed that my tank shirt was forgot in their hotel. We were in Bohol and I asked them send it to my hotel in Bohol, they said yes but my tank shirt was never arrived although we stayed in Bohol 6 nights. I am wondering after we checked out, their housekeeper came to clean the room and found my tank shirt in the bathroom, they must informed the receptionists about it, just in case if the guest comes back to get it. But it seemed I texted and called to different people and they did not handover between shifts. It took so much my time and the result is zero!! Normally if the guest forgot something in any accommodation, the staffs always try to give it back to you but this place is opposite, even the guest asked them send it back but they preferred to keep it. Really disappointed!! Definitely we will never come back this place.

CarbonIt is located in a large local market, the dormitory was clean, the air conditioning and personal belongings storage were great, but the water pressure was low hahaha. The people are very friendly ^^ Breakfast is free, coffee is free, and there are many tourist attractions nearby.

Needed a short stay before a red eye flight. It's dirt cheap for a clean room, basic amenities, good AC, walking distance to Carbon market. Room I got was redesigned, but bed was tiny, toilet stank no matter how many times I flushed, water from shower was barely warm. Would give room rating a 5 if these weren't issues. Staff was helpful, though not that attentive. It's situated above a lot of street stalls so that may bring in certain odors depending on where your room is. They have hourly rates as well.

Bad experience. Personal was friendly and we got netflix which was nice. The rest was awful. We stayed for 6 nights. In 3 mornings we didn’t get our breakfast delivered. 2 times they delivered something else, not what we ordered. 1 time my girlfriend even got some aluminium leftovers in her sandwich. 1 time our breakfast was cold. Many bugs in our room. Window was broken. Would definetly not come again.

Mad Monkey Cebu City is a lively hostel with simple quarters, a restaurant, and a hip bar. It features a rooftop infinity pool and a graffiti-ridden rooftop bar that offers an amazing view of Cebu City, making it perfect for capturing unforgettable Instagram shots, especially at sunset when the entire bar glows in an incredible red-orange hue. While some guests found the reception unwelcoming and the rooms noisy and dirty, others recommend it for its vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
I really recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to experience a wonderful environment. The foods here are 100% delicious, especially the pizza! The drinks are so fancy! I love their pool are where you can freely swim. What I love the most is their billiards section - where you can play for free and they also have beer pong. This hostel is different from other hostel. You can still sleep very well because they minimize the music at night in the bar. Thanks to the staff, who are very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Sunni, who has accommodated and helped me since I arrived, and also to the reception staff, who helped me throughout the process. So to all solo travelers, I really recommend this hostel because you will love it for sure. Highly recommended. Superb!! 👁️😍😍😍
ERA A — Google review
Staff is very friendly and helpful if you have questions or are looking for recommendations about the surrounding area. They also have tours you can book and other hostel events! When I was there over a week ago it wasn’t super busy so the rooftop bar was fairly dead at night. It picked up later into the evening though. Simple accommodations for dorms. Large lockers to store your luggage and two sinks in the room, one in the bathroom and one outside with hairdryer. Bunk beds have curtains and there is AC in the room.
Hannah L — Google review
I had a really good stay at this hostel. What I liked most about this hostel was the super friendly and accommodating staff. They were really helpful with information about what to see and do in and around Cebu which was great because it was my first time in Philippines. The dorm was nice and spacious. Only thing I'd recommend is for there to be extra toilets and showers outside of the room because just one shower/toilet for eight people is not enough. The bar was a nice vibe because there was always a mix of locals and travelers which was cool. I'd totally stay here again.
Brooklyn J — Google review
We had a great experience at this hostel. The staff here were so helpful and helped us to plan our trip and transport after leaving Cebu. The vibe was great and the pool and bar at the top was a nice touch. The hostel was great for social events and had different activities going on each night. Overall a really good experience that I would recommend in when in Cebu. Great value for money also. Christine and Dan were amazing and helped us more than we could ever imagine.

Look… I’m not really sure why anyone travels to Cebu other than a connecting flight but this hostel was an experience I haven’t had in a really long time. I want to start by saying we are a couple who’s travelled lots and this has been the worst mad monkey hostel we’ve stayed in. Most mad monkeys are located in a fun and somewhat safe area. This location is not. We did not feel safe one bit and we’re advised to be careful when walking on the streets. We stayed here because we were going to go to Moalboal on a tour but honestly after talking to people about it, it was not worth it. We checked into a private room at 9pm and the room was shaking and so loud from the bar 3 floors up! I understand this is a party hostel but you should at least be able to escape the noise by going to your room but it felt as you were sleeping in the bar. Don’t be miss leaded as they do have a pool but it gets no sunlight what so ever so you can’t even hang out during the day. We were quite taken back because nothing lead us to it being this bad other than a few reviews that it was a party hostel. We left after one night even though we booked three because hotels weren’t that much more expensive and you get a pool outside at least. Unfortunately they wouldn’t refund us. So to sum it up, staff were nice, room was clean, CRAZY party hostel that you can’t escape, stay here if you want to party and get blackout every night and only stay a night if you have to.
Codi — Google review
Definitely a 10/10! The rooftop bar is really fun and amazing! The food and drinks are worth the price. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. I really had fun with their Neon Party and will definitely come back here and will surely recommend it to my friends and family. Pretty good hostel, value for money. We went on Tuesday and they had karaoke, if u sing u get free drinks so keep on singing! The rooms were the perfect temperature. There are 5 floors and no elevator so wouldn't recommend for the impaired. There's 1 bathroom for a room of 8 so u might have to coordinate, but lucky for us it was only 4 in our room of 8 beds. Not a quiet place as their quiet time starts at 1am.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mad Monkey Hostel! The food here is fantastic, especially the burger which tasted delicious. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the quality was really good. However, I must say that the fries served with the burger were not very good. They were a bit soggy and could have been crispier. Apart from that, the food was excellent. The fun parties, especially the karaoke night, made my stay even more enjoyable. There was a great atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I had a good night’s sleep every night. It is recommended to use earplugs while sleeping, as it can sometimes be a bit noisy. Luckily, you can get these for free at the reception. The staff and other guests were very friendly and helpful. It was really easy to meet new people here. Overall, I highly recommend Mad Monkey Hostel!

Guests can enjoy free WiFi, air-conditioned rooms adorned with vibrant accents, and private bathrooms for added convenience. Aside from the weak aircon in the double rooms, everything was great! Recommended for any solo traveler or even joiners.

Do not book! Worse experience I've ever had in a hotel. The first thing I saw when I went there are stray cats everywhere. In the bed and on the walls adjacent to the bed multiple red ants additionally spiders. They showed me 3 rooms and the 3 rooms were infested and one of them had geekos inside. I left and they refused the refund stating that they can't refund anyone that book directly with them.
Nahomy L — Google review
hopefully, they'll upgrade their internet here. wifi has a really SLOW connection. a lot of ppl here badly need it. don't like when staff knock on doors sometimes when your busy or asleep, annoys me the most.
Delrey L — Google review
Nestled within the Banilad Area, it is close to Banilad Town Center and Country Mall. It is very safe and secure as entrance to the building needs the key card of the room where you are staying. The room has enough space and has enough facilities. It has water heater, if you need to switch between hot and cold water. The building itself has its own canteen, laundry shop, and convenience store. It seems to be housing in students from schools within the area: University of Cebu Banilad and University of Visayas Gullas College of Medicine. There are a lot of Indian students. Since it very near and walking distance between malls and buildings, food and leisure are never an issue. It might be confused with the Alicia Apartelle Residences, which is within the same compound.

My home whenever I'm in Cebu! Perfect for working, the space is just right, the bed’s comfy, and they have a gym and pool (available for an additional fee). It’s more than good enough for me!

Really a wonderful place. Comfy beds and nice showers with shampoo and soap. Good AC. Wifi gets w little weak when everyone is coming home from work. Nice communal areas with a gym, mini restaurant, mini shop, laundromat, pool and ping pong. Very nice staff that come daily to clean and replenish toilet paper, towels etc.
Bing R — Google review
I like it! The room - has enough space, the AC is working fine, the toilet is clean, and there are hangers! I counted, there were 8 hangers and that is just great! The service and the staff - they're excellent, they can speak English and Tagalog fluently so they can adjust to customers from all over the country and even abroad. They also offer ways to make the fees more affordable for customers. The location - ideal! It's near malls, boutiques, restaurants and ATMs! A few meters walk and you can enjoy working out at a boxing gym! Or maybe enjoy a nice pizza!

This is one of my favorite places to stay due to their affordable prices on Agoda. Definitely worth it. Just ask for a room not facing the street as it can get really noisy. They have free billiards and ping-pong. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Hotel
Palazzo Pensionne is a modest hotel in Cebu, conveniently situated just a 10-minute drive from Ayala Mall. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and parking, with a casual cafe on-site. Guests have praised the spacious and clean rooms, comfortable amenities, and welcoming staff. While the location may have some road issues, the overall experience was positive for many visitors. Some suggested improvements include updating air conditioning units and enhancing payment procedures.
I have stayed at some luxurious hotels, but this time I was on a budget. This hotel fits the bill as adequate for a low cost stay in Cebu, without feeling uncomfortable. The beds in the superior room were very comfortable. The AC was balls cold. The hot water in the shower worked. The breakfast was fine, but I usually only eat in the evening (vampire). Another point was, the ferry arrived at 5am, and they were so kind as to let us check in early as it was available. We were able to checkout at 8pm by paying half the daily rate, which allowed us to chill until our night Ferry was loading. Very easy going staff, no complaints, and I plan to stay here again.

Location isn’t the best but rooms are clean (a bit old but doesn’t matter to me), beds comfortable. decent breakfast and overall great value for money. I recommend!
Eyas H — Google review
Rooms were pretty standard with A/C and TV, nice size shower with hot water. Close to bus terminal and Pier so easy to get a grab there, and about a 10 minute walk to the plaza nouvelle. Perfect for a night or two.
Ioan W — Google review
1. This is my second time in Palazzo Pensionne. During my first accommodation, the water flow from the shower was weak. I am glad to update that this has been resolved. 2. It seems that the cable is not paid for this month. During my previous accommodation last September, a lot of channels were available. This time, the only channels that were available were local ones. This, in turn, makes the TV, in my opinion, unusable. If you are a visitor who plans to utilize their TV, you may bring your trusty Chromecast with you so that you can use their TV for Youtube and Netflix. That's what we did 'cause sadly, the TV in our room is outdated. 3. There was a red ladder leaning outside the window of our bathroom. I really don't mind. I actually find it funny but other visitors might be creeped out. 4. Despite my nitpicks, we have enjoyed our stay. The hotel feels warm, cozy, peaceful, and clean. It is worth the price you are paying for.

.. I stayed here for 6 days, extended every other day.. The staff are friendly and helpful, smoking is not allowed except outside the hotel. The food is good. There are some bugs, but it is a good hotel to sleep in and go back for trips.

We move from standard room to superior room because standard room stinks from the cabinets. Superior room is more better than standard. Very simple, nice small beds and comfy, with table and lamps,tv with Netflix. Service from staff is okay they really provide better assistance for their guests. Parking is small here for cars not big enough. I suggest pension house should renovate and make it more higher in standard.Price is really good with breakfast in Agoda we booked.

The Murals Hostel & Cafe is a 2.5-star hostel in the heart of the city with art and graffiti murals all over the walls. It has comfortable beds, 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, a kitchen and a terrace with amazing views of the city.
I had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were decent and the bed was comfortable. The staff were also nice and accommodating. My favorite part of the hostel is probably the co-working or common space. It has lots of tables and outlets you can use plus the internet and wifi is really good. There’s also a cafe outside and a Euronet ATM which is pretty convenient. I would most likely stay here again.

Prime location, very accessible and near IT Park. They have a common area where you can eat, lounge, and hang out. They have an attached cafe/bar that's always jam packed in the evenings - try their specialty coffees and their cheescake! We availed of the free breakfast with our room selection, they will give you toast with jam, scrambled eggs, and you choice between iced/hot americano or tea. We also rented a motorcycle from their partner, they will bring it to the Hostel for free and pick it up as well. They also have an international ATM within their premises :D Hostel is kept clean and tidy, even the bathrooms are always clean. They offer free shampoo and body wash, in case you forgot to pack yours. Area is very walkable, lots of good cafes, restaurants, laundry shops, and massage places nearby! Highly recommend!

We spent three nights at Murals Hostel and would definitely not recommend it. The hostel does not match the pictures. There were cockroaches in our room, and the beds were dirty—mine even had nails and hair on it, as if the sheets hadn’t been changed. The bathroom was also extremely dirty. Unfortunately, not recommended.

Aircon has a scheduled time-off during the day which is NOT mentioned on their listing. Photos are not the same as actual due to aging and depreciation. Shower doors are difficult to close. Toilets have weak pressure/flush strength; it cant flush your poop unless with the help of a pail which you have to request from the staff. Workspace is ok, but the loo in that area smells pungent. Staff is ok; but all men... Without notice or even a knock (as common courtesy), they will come in to the women's quarters, which is off-putting for me. My cheap luggage was opened and changed pin twice during my 3D2N stay here. I was away twice. The first time, I thought there was just some issue with my bag. Good thing I always have all my valuables everywhere I go. Location is alright. Peaceful and quient naman. It has some sari-sari stores in the vicinity. With local resto/cafes nearby. Also has walking distance banks/atm. Very accessible by taxi/grab. This is just my 2nd time in a hostel and my experience with this one makes me NOT want to book any hostels again, or any time soon. Overall: 1/5
Dx D — Google review
Decent hostel in Cebu. It has big enought lockers and bed curtains. There is very good common area and specious bathrooms with quite good water pressure. Staff is very nice and even if there is so many guests arriving and departing they don’t treat them like passing numbers. The only disadvantage is not to much space in the room. Which isn’t really problem if people keep their backpacks under beds, but when I was there the whole access was blocked by luggages and even shoes. This depends on people staying that day but also rules. Its a calm area with few cafes next door.

Nestled in the heart of Cebu City, The Flying Fish Boutique Hostel offers a unique blend of comfort and style. This trendy hostel features industrial-style dorms and private rooms, all designed with modern amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. Guests can take advantage of the inviting outdoor pool, perfect for relaxation after exploring nearby attractions like Ayala Center Cebu and Fuente Osmena Circle. The property is an intriguing fusion of two refurbished mansions from the 1970s, where contemporary decor meets original architectural charm.
I had a good stay in this hostel. The room I got was like a DIY, semi-finished vibes, but has split-type AC and gave homy or provincial living vibes. The exterior and common area were good places to do remote work, and they're instagrammable! My only concern is just the parking coz the side pavement was quite elevated. Overall, I had a good and relaxing stay in this hostel.
Gerard G — Google review
It was a nice hostel, very quiet. The rooms were air conditioned at all times, which was nice! Though the setup was odd. Bunk beds round the outside with a double bed in the middle. There weren't any lockers or safes in the room either. But I felt it fine to leave my stuff under the beds. There isn't a bar or anything there, but there are many restaurants and shops in the immediate area
Kris — Google review
The hostel has exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, making the stay feel welcoming and comfortable. However, privacy for the bunk beds is limited, which might be a drawback for travelers seeking more personal space. Overall, it’s a great option for those prioritizing a warm atmosphere and affordability over privacy.

Great place to stay and amazing staff!!! The pool is also nice and good location near a 7-eleven. My girlfriend got sick during our stay and had to go to the hospital. The staff provided us with a quieter room, a cold towel and ice bucket, and even brought her some cut up pears. Can’t thank the staff enough. There is also 24 hour reception and a guard on the street so safety in the area is taken care of.

Best place to stay if you are planning to visit Mandaue. The staff are very accommodating, the place is clean, they even have a mini pool. The room is clean, has a comfy bed, and the ac temp was just perfect.

The photos published on the website are unfortunately NOT the actual photos. I believe the photos of the rooms they put up on their website are from their Dumaguete branch. The place feels very rustic. If this is the kind of vibe you're looking for, this place is for you otherwise, don't book this place. Common areas felt dusty. It's creakier than I expected for a renovated ancestral home. Their pool looks inviting and artsy. Although, I'm just not sure you'd want to take a dip with people on the bar and counter facing towards you while working on their laptops.

This is may favourite place in Cebu. Usually I don’t write reviews but I came back for the third time and I always would! I‘ve tried out different rooms and I always had a nice experience. It is a very unique Boutique Hotel with beautiful interior aspects. You can find yummy Korean Restaurants just in walking distance, also my favourite coffee shop located at One Paseo. The hostel offers reasonably comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Guests appreciate the clean rooms and bathrooms, as well as the fast Wi-Fi. Additionally, its proximity to popular attractions like SM Cebu and Ayala Mall makes it a convenient choice for travelers looking to explore the city.
Great hotel although far from the city proper. Great and accommodating staff. Loved the print out they gave about where to go and what do, very helpful. Wifi is fast on the reception area but not on our room. Kudos to the receptionist, kuya Nilo, who told us there was no available room for the one we booked but saw me tired and sleepy and gave us the bigger room with the higher price no extra charge and he did it in a snap. We didn't ask for it but if volunteered to give it anyway! Cool!
Jaf F — Google review
The room is good. AC is working properly. Water is running smoothly. Bed is soft and the mattress is a bit okay. Why only I gave 3 stars? Because I wasn't advice that my room will be changed and it resulted in me paying more than I should have been charged originally. Oh and the front desk is not that accommodating. That's all.
Raymund B — Google review
Accomodation is really bad. Air conditioning didnt have a remote. Its cheap but not worth it. I could have found other places with the amount of money I paid. 1 hotel has 3 different owners so the receptionist wont cater to you. Highly inconvenient to go up and down the stairs since there is only one access card which is found on the ground floor. They ran out of water for showering and we ended up leaving the hotel with no shower at all.

worst experience ever!!!! when im arrived i didnt have a nice atmosphere there. its dirty. i was rent a dorm room and they put me in the 12 bed room, whats just later realized that i was sleeping with the people who working and living in the hostel. when new ppl arrived, they took out them stuffs from the bed and try to make look like fresh bed sheet and clean.. i could stay half n hour, left in the night.

In the room with fun was so hot that it was not comfortable to sleep. Normal with fun it's ok but here the room is so small and it doesn't have circulation of air (window was small). Towels are not included. Around hotel you can find a restaurant and shop. If you want refill water is not possible in hotel but outside 100m right you can find automat with water. The cold 🍺 is available on nearest petro station ;)

The staff is friendly and helpful. They gave us a piece of paper contain of basic information about direction, etc. The room was clean (not very). The bathroom was clean. The AC worked well, the wifi was fast too. This place in a good location. 7 mts away to SM Cebu, 1 mt to The Persimmon. 10 mts drive to Ayala Mall. Just took jeepney (forgot the number but can check on Google). Nice stay afterall.

A good place to stay. It is a guesthouse run by a family and helped by their own relatives (the usual Filipino business practice). The staff are friendly and attentive. The room is clean and nice with windows enough for the sunlight. Their air-con gives enough coolness to the room. The comfort room is clean. They cook very good home-cooked meals here. The place is well attended maybe because the owners live in the same house. All of these for a cheap price.

This place feels like so homey to me. It is clean, staff are very accommodating. And the location has perfectly nice view. My sister and i enjoyed the 3 days stay here. If there will be another chance for me to comeback here in Cebu, i would definitely stay in this guesthouse again.

LOCATION: -quiet (something you need to have a restful night), private compound (to add to your feeling of safety and security), 3-5 minute walk from the main road (away from the hustle and bustle) FACILITIES: essentials are present-comfy beds, toilet with water available for 24 hours, common hot/cold drinking station (to be paid per glass), available common cooking area OWNERS: welcoming, responsive, kind PLUS PLUS POINTS: 1. Washing your clothes is allowed-one great thing if you want to pack light during your travel. Plus, they let us borrow their hangers. 2. On our day 2, I requested if I could make use of their pan/stove/utensils for me to be personally heating our food, but instead, they microwaved it for us (hassle-free). 3. Speaking of utensils, they also let us borrow their kitchen utensils-knife, plate, cup. 4. The owner willingly got us a taxi to the airport at 1:40 a.m. (again, that's A.M.) just for us to catch our early morning flight to Clark. Thank you sir and your family! God bless!

Affordable and nice coworking space! I've visited twice already to get some work done. The wifi is fast and reliable. The good reviews are about the coworking. The dorms are old school. Cockroaches, ants in my bed (they got in my backpack), and mouse poop. And the shower pump has an issue. You have to ask them to turn it on and you get about 3 minutes of water before it fails again. The staff were great and helped where they could.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cebu, the Minor Basilica of the Holy Child of Cebu is a treasure trove of history and spirituality. Dating back to 1565, it proudly holds the title of being the oldest Roman Catholic church in the Philippines. This magnificent structure has withstood numerous trials, including devastating fires and earthquakes, leading to its reconstruction in baroque style during the 1700s.
A Gentle Pause at Basilica de Santo Niño, Cebu After our appointment at PSA Colon, we took a short walk to the Basilica de Santo Niño. It was my husband and kids’ first time there—a quiet milestone in our family’s journey. We didn’t stay long, just lit a candle and offered a silent prayer. But even in that brief moment, the place wrapped us in peace. A sacred stop, simple and grounding.
Ernelyn O — Google review
Visiting the Minor Basilica of the Holy Child in Cebu was a heartwarming experience for me. The moment I stepped inside, I felt a quiet sense of peace. Seeing the image of the Santo Niño up close filled me with awe—it’s amazing to think how many people have prayed here for hundreds of years. I spent a few moments in silence, just praying and thanking God for everything. It felt comforting, like I was being embraced by His presence. Watching other people light candles and whisper their prayers also reminded me how faith connects us all, no matter where we come from. That short visit left me feeling lighter and more grateful. It was a gentle reminder to trust more, pray more, and appreciate the blessings I often take for granted. Simple, but very meaningful.

Sto. Niño De Cebu is one of the best tourist spot here in cebu city. But more importantly, you need to respect the culture of cebu because its one of sacred church not a public tourist spot. Additionally, when a priest is talking please refrain yourself taking a pictures. To show a respect is not a demand but to show what kind of person you are in a strange place.

arrived there mid-day, crazy hot outside but weren't allowed in (must wear long pants). big crowd outside more like a market than a church. the architure has no special design or size & entice no admiration. we left after 5 min.
MisterD-Ly A — Google review
During my recent visit to the Basilica del Santo Niño with a friend, we experienced a deeply troubling incident. A stray black dog — which I had earlier seen being mistreated by a guard — bit my friend inside the church. There were multiple witnesses, including three guards and a nun. I had to step in to get the dog to release her, and my friend was bleeding significantly. What was most upsetting was not just the attack itself, but the response. No one offered assistance. No first aid kit was brought, no one inquired about her condition, and no staff member took initiative to help or even show concern. As a sacred and historic site, I would expect far greater care and professionalism from those responsible for visitor safety. The lack of empathy and preparedness we witnessed was alarming and disappointing. I sincerely hope the Basilica leadership takes this as a wake-up call to review their safety measures, provide proper training to staff, stock each guard and guard station with a first aid kit, and ensure compassion is shown to anyone in distress. Visitors deserve to feel safe and cared for in such a revered place.

Cool to see the oldest church in Cebu but very busy and lots of street sellers pestering you. Entrance is free but you have to be dressed appropriately- knees and shoulders covered or you won’t get inside
Olly S — Google review
This is the church of our beloved Santo Niño, a sacred place where we come to pray, reflect, and give thanks. Sometimes, you can come in and find it peaceful with no waiting time. But most of the time, it’s filled with many devoted followers, all gathered in faith and love. It’s a beautiful reminder of how deeply the Santo Niño is cherished by so many. Whether it’s quiet or crowded, the sense of peace and spiritual connection here is always strong.

Fort San Pedro, a historic Spanish fortress dating back to 1738, is now home to a charming garden and museum. This impressive military bastion was meticulously constructed by Spanish conquistadors and stands as a testament to Cebu's grand past. As the oldest and smallest fort in the Philippines, it offers visitors a captivating journey through time, providing insight into the country's colonial heritage.
A Must-Visit Historical Gem in Cebu! Very small but.. Fort San Pedro is a small but fascinating historical site right in the heart of Cebu City. It’s well-preserved and offers a glimpse into the Spanish colonial era, with a mini-museum featuring old cannons, documents, and artifacts. The garden inside is peaceful, and you can walk along the top of the walls for a nice view of the plaza and waterfront. Entrance is very affordable, and the whole visit takes around 30–45 minutes. Great to combine with Magellan’s Cross and the Basilica just a short walk away. Best time to visit is early in the morning before it gets too hot!

Fort San Pedro in Cebu is a laid-back historic spot that’s worth a visit if you’re into old forts and chill walks. It’s not huge, but it’s full of charm, stone walls, leafy courtyards, and a nice peek into the city’s Spanish past. The vibe is relaxed, with lots of corners to explore and spots to just sit and take it all in. It’s right near the waterfront too, so it’s an easy stop while strolling around the area.

If you're a lover of history or simply looking for a peaceful yet captivating place to visit in Cebu City, Fort San Pedro is a must-see. As the oldest and smallest fort in the Philippines, it holds a powerful presence that echoes the rich Spanish colonial past of the country. Originally built as a military defense structure during the Spanish era, Fort San Pedro once served as a barracks for Spanish soldiers. Today, it stands proudly, retaining much of its original structure—thick coral stone walls, a commanding gate, and bastions that whisper stories of centuries gone by. Wandering through its well-preserved grounds feels like stepping back in time. The small museum inside offers artifacts, documents, and photos that give deeper insight into Cebu's vibrant past. It's not just a tourist spot—it’s a living piece of history. What’s even more fascinating is how the fort has been beautifully adapted for modern use. By night, the fort transforms into an enchanting venue often used for wedding receptions and special events. The blend of old-world charm and romantic lighting makes it an unforgettable setting—elegant, atmospheric, and deeply meaningful. Whether you're a history buff, a photographer, or someone looking for a quiet escape in the city, Fort San Pedro is a place where the past and present come together in a uniquely beautiful way.

We came here for a quick tour to check it out. The entry is 30 pesos per person without a guide. I highly recommend you hire a guide. They get paid in tips so you can give what you feel is fair. The guide really made the journey worth it. Otherwise, we wouldn't have understood the history and whatnot as there aren't many infomative signs inside. All in all, it was a lovely 15-20 mins tour. If you have some time to spare, it's worth going through it. We did enjoy the walk and information. Our tour guide was very sweet and took nice pictures of us.

16th Century Spanish Fortification in the Old City of Cebu. The grounds were cool and inviting, the Fort filled with historical relics from days of old. Great stop for a break during the heat of the day

The no BS review. Fort San Pedro is a nice small piece of history in the heart of Cebu. The place was clean and had a lot of cute and clean cats just roaming around. Good place for taking pictures especially in the afternoon. I think the place lacks a bit of storytelling. There are historical pieces but not much else.

This is a historical place which tourists and even locals could visit at least once. You can tour the place for more or less 30-45 minutes. I recommend you to wear comfortable attire as the place is not airconditioned. There is a gallery and souvenir shop as well. Entrance fee is affordable!

Teofel Hostel is a straightforward budget hotel located close to several well-known attractions in the downtown area. The unpretentious rooms offer basic necessities such as towels, toothbrushes, and toiletries. Guests have found the beds clean and comfortable with amenities like sockets for each bunk, hot showers, water dispenser, lockers, and air conditioning. While the WiFi can be unstable and the staff may be loud at times, the hostel provides a convenient stay for budget travelers.
We arrived late at night and check in was so easy - rooms super comfortable and we felt super safe. Clean rooms, towels on hand - highly highly recommend 😋😋
Marguerite L — Google review
Don’t book here. Horrible service, dirty and noisy rooms. We arrived at 10 pm with a reservation, but we were not greeted by the man behind the counter. He just looked at our reservation and ignored us for 10 minutes, when we asked what’s wrong he told us he didn’t receive anything. After some negotiations the man at the door came to help and gave us a room on the 3th floor. No help offered. Everything from the counter, hallway to our rooms were very old dirty and deserted. Our room was noisy and had a horrible smell, the bathroom was leaking, windows dirty, furniture so old and dirty it needs to be thrown out. Next morning the woman behind the counter again didn’t greet us, just barked the number we owed her at us. It was so rude we didn’t even understood at first what was going on. This place is a huge contrast to the hospitality we are used to in the Philippines, don’t come here.

Great Location and Affordable Rates at Teofel Hostel Although I didn’t stay at Teofel Hostel during my recent trip to Cebu City, I had the chance to check it out, and I’m definitely considering booking a room here on my next visit. The hostel's location is one of its strongest points—conveniently situated near key spots in the city, making it easy to explore Cebu without the hassle of long travel times. Whether you're there for business or leisure, the central location is ideal. What also caught my attention is how affordable the rates are, especially for budget-conscious travelers. Despite the reasonable prices, the hostel offers a cozy and clean atmosphere.

Booked for 900 to 1000 php. For the price. It is very comfortable. The ac is cold. The rooms are big. The sheets are clean. But bring extra pillow and blanket. No elevator. Walk-up situation. With parking. Near school. Location is near 7/11 and feels really safe. The guard was nice and accommodating. I tried booking at other place near this. I think it was at cui. The GPlace. This place feels a lot more secure. The street was dark and a lot of "tambay".

Best location But no elevator The aircon was not that strong, however the room we got was clean
Dayen A — Google review
Cheap accommodation in the downtown area. It’s next to a school and at that time, they had an activity. You can hear their noise in your room and also at night, when there are bystanders at the 7/11 nearby, you could also hear them. The room was clean. It had all the basic necessities you need such as towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo/conditioner and toilet paper. We liked how the toilet and shower was spacious. Hot water was functional and so was the AC but it had black small stuff coming out when we initially turned it on. Good thing it didn’t stain the sheets where it landed. Speaking of sheets, the sheets under the blanket looked like it wasn’t changed because it looked crumpled even before we got into bed (we tried to take a photo for proof but it wasn’t to visible with our camera). Front desk is not available 24/7 (there wasn’t any at 5am when we checked out) so if you check out early, you can just leave your room key with the security person at the entrance. The exterior of the hotel kinda looks rundown but rest assured they have kept the inside up-to-date and running!
N Z — Google review
The only good things I can say is that the place had an armed security guard outside (thankfully), there is WiFi, and the staff seemed friendly although shy to talk to foreigners. Other then that the area is rough, very noisy, polluted in every imaginable way, and personally felt very unsafe. The view from our room was a barbed wire wall with an adjacent building overlooking our bedroom (so we had to keep the curtains closed all the time). The AC does not work properly and sounds like a noisy generator. The water from the shower goes all over the bathroom (which has no hooks or shelves to place personal belongings), and the little furniture one finds in the bedroom is very dated and below basic. Another thing we found irritating was the fact that the windows in the common area were always open, so the inside was full of smoke coming in from the polluted outside - not ideal if traveling with people who have respiratory issues. Unluckily we were not able to change to another accommodation due to other plans, but at the same time we only had to stay here for 3 nights.
Jo J — Google review
Worst customer service. The receptionist is very rude. Me and my friends encountered her twice. The first time was when we wanted to inquire about the foods and drinks they were offering (since they have a small cafe) and she was so rude, unapproachable, and unwelcoming. Thought she was just having a bad day that day so we tried to understand her. But the second time was when we tried asking about their room rates, she was still the same. I hope the management replace her because she definitely doesn't have the capacity to be a receptionist.

I stayed there last July 2025 and it was my first time traveling out of panay. My first stay at a hotel/inn too. It is a very nice and quiet place near a fast food chain and establishment.

This place is H-E-L-L! Stayed here one night (had to cancel entire reservation) as this place is unbearable! They have 24/7 construction directly across the rooms(20 feet away), all day and all night. Internet does not work. None of this is disclosed during or before Booking. Therefore sleeping here is impossible. S-T-A-Y A-W-A-Y! You have been warned!
James M — Google review
This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The room was shockingly small, what was shown in the photos. The bed was very short, clearly not suitable for an adult, and there was no blanket provided — just a thin sheet, which is completely unacceptable. Comfort was clearly not a priority here. The towels were filthy and looked like scraps of old cloth, not hotel-standard linens. The bathroom was so cramped it felt like a storage cupboard, and the shower had almost no water pressure. Nothing felt clean or well-maintained.This hotel does not meet any reasonable standards for comfort, hygiene, or basic service. It feels like they are cutting every corner possible at the guest’s expense. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place completely. It’s not worth your money or your time.
Sadique A — Google review
For the price, the room was okay. The inn is a bit old but modest. I got a double room with a large bed, and it was fine. The sheets and bathroom were okay, though the AC was a bit dirty. Reception was fine and staff were helpful. They asked for a ₱500 deposit, which was returned at checkout. They were also honest enough to return a paper bag with food we forgot in the room. Wi-Fi on the fourth floor didn’t work in our room because the signal was too weak to reach us.
Andi P — Google review
I seldom write reviews online but I think this place deserves an honest review. I stayed here for 3D2N from a friend's recommendation. Please stay away from this horrible hotel. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY FAKE REVIEWS ONLINE. They're a money grabbing, god awful inn for many reasons: 1. Unsanitary - I've stayed at many hotels and this is the first place that charges for a simple room cleaning. Yes, they will ask 300 to tidy your bed and sweep your floors. I get the charge for extra towels/blankets. Housekeeping won't clean up the plates left by guests after dinner until 6 AM the next day! LOL. We also arrived to see a very dirty toilet bowel with a sticky floor. 2. Horrible wifi - I was fooled by their fake reviews' wifi comments. NO, the hotel does NOT HAVE A FAST WIFI CONNECTION. Not recommended for WFH people like me. It's probably max at 3 mbps and it's such a scam because I even asked the front desk if the wifi reaches the rooms well. Liars. 3. Water pressure - you have to knock the faucet hard before it works and the shower's water pressure was SO horrible we had to use the bidet to shower. Yup. That bad. 4. Construction noise - this may be out of their control but having to give your guests a heads up about the noise would've been good. TLDR: DO NOT stay at this hotel if you want a good night's sleep and nice stay in Cebu. HORRIBLE wifi, dirty rooms, weak water pressure. Actually ruined my whole trip.
Mimi M — Google review
The room wasn't that great, quite bleak, but had what i needed like aircon and heater in the shower. Unfortunately, you can hear the noise from the streets. Like i came at a time in which construction was ongoing and the noise woke me up haha. ALSO THE INTERNET DID NOT WORK the location is the best part!! hahaha also the staff were kind as well. Their food was okay din
Benny K — Google review
Don't expect much. A budget-friendly, very simple and clean hotel! The room is very simple and just right for two people but they also have family rooms, and they even have a gym on the second floor for only ₱150 a day. Just a heads-up, you’ll need to prepare ₱500 for the deposit, but they’ll return it after your stay. Wifi is seldom weak. The location feels a bit unsafe, but there’s a jeepney going straight to Ayala Malls if you don’t want to walk. Jollibee is also just 100 meters away, which is super convenient. The staff are hospitable, and overall, it’s a great value for anyone on a tight budget who still wants a good place to stay for 1 night. I sometimes stay here when I have fun runs to attend.
Billy A — Google review
We used to stay here a lot due to price and convenience but Now, they're terrible. No WiFi on some rooms, water pressure is low and THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE FOR A STAIN AND FOOD WE NEVER EVEN ORDERED AND HAD NO PROOF! Just deducted from the deposit. For shame!

Loved my stay here! Coming from Bohol, it was the perfect starting point for all of the adventures Cebu had to offer. They have an amazing pool by the restaurant and free drinks every night for an hour. I stayed in a group dorm and while the beds were bunk beds, the bathroom was clean and the room taken care of. Overall my stay was very enjoyable and the staff was extremely kind and helpful.

This was the cheapest and greatest value hostel I've ever stayed at. The rooms are good, breakfast is good, the vibe is great and you can meet people easily, the security is good even though it isn't in the safest area. The staff is also very helpful and very nice !!
Haley T — Google review
We booked a private room, though it seems like this hostel mainly caters to digital nomads with dormitory-style accommodations. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t worth the price. It was very basic, with no towels, no amenities, no WiFi access, and an incredibly thin blanket. There wasn’t much reason to stay inside the room, and to top it off, they charged extra for towels. Even other budget chain hostels provide towels, so this was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the bar was a highlight! It had a great atmosphere, almost like a resort tucked away in the middle of the busy city of Talisay. However, that’s about where the charm ended. If you’re just looking for a place to grab drinks and enjoy the vibe, it’s worth checking out, but for accommodations, it left a lot to be desired.

Was a great place to stay while in Cebu. While it may be a little bit away from the city centre, it has planty of places around to go for food, including a supermarket and food court. With a pool and drinks bar in the common area, it’s a cool place to hangout. Rooms are decent sized and clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived during the low period so we’re very fortunate to be able to late check out due to having a later flight in the evening.

This is my first time to check in that the towel is not included in the amenities. I don’t even use your blanket because it’s not as pleasant compared to other small hostels. And one thing, your check in process is not professional. Please make an effort to improve your services.

Booked a room via booking in the evening and recieved confirmation mail. In the morning when i woke up and have a flight from Palawan to Cebu, i recived messege from this place, via booking that its fully booked. And they have no room for me. And of course every another hotels is fully booked too, cause i need a room immediately . So i was forced to book 1 star hotel in some hole. Cause i had no choice. And it was very bad expirience.

If it was possible to give a score lower than one. I would do it. The hotel is in a very bad condition, the Wi-Fi in the room does not work, the toilets and the shower are in such a terrible condition that we could not shower there. It is not recommended to stay here, it is better to stay somewhere else. We pay 1,050p for one night. Too much for this horrible room. We shared the problem with the owner of the place that the room had a bad smell. And they moved us to the room that I attached the pictures of.. We asked to change rooms and they didn't let us.

I arrived at the hotel and they gave me a room that was not clean at all, after asking for a new room several times (which was really not clean each time) I chose to leave and ask for my money back. after a long time they finally gave me my money back. i would recommend not to stay here as the rooms are really very dirty and not properly maintained. for example the shower wouldn't turn on and the toilet wouldn't flush.

The Center Suites first and foremost is a great budget hotel in the center of Cebu. Clean and affordable rooms and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, as of the writing of this review, there is a noticeable absence of their previous amenities, probably due to budget cuts borne about by the pandemic (and possible inflation). There were no hygiene complements (like free soap, but there are towels) and there is no cable tv and the wifi is very slow. We booked this hotel, since we heard a plenty good things in the past, but it is clear that the hospitality business is one of those hardest hit during these times. If you can look past some of these few inconveniences, then the Center suites is a solid choice.
Alex M — Google review
Hotel seems pretty new. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Aircon is really cold. No free toiletries just towels and disposable slippers. Cable TV is working well. Location is also ideally close to restaurants and fast food chains. Staff is accommodating and courteous. The only downside to this hotel is the bathroom. Bathroom is very small especially the shower. It's very tight and there is difficulty in taking a bath.

Affordable hotel near Ayala Mall I have stayed at The Center Suites two times and the last time was in December 2016. It has good location near The Ayala Mall, just walking distance 10 minutes. But the neighborhood just close to the hotel is a little bit rough. When you are walking from Ayala to the hotel, there is an unfinished construction site just close to the hotel at N Escario St and Gonzales Compound which you must pass. That construction site looks exactly the same as when I was there the first time in December 2015! When passing that area at night time it feels not safe, it's dark and shabby. The Center Suites offer much for the money. Clean rooms with good working AC. Some of the rooms have "the silent and not too cold" type of AC. Breakfast is included and the staff is very nice and service minded. Free WiFi but the signal varies from excellent to less good depending on which room you have. The Center Suites is a nice hotel, very affordable and gives value for your money. Rating: 1-5 where 1 is terrible and 5 is excellent 4 Location 5 Sleep Quality 4 Rooms 5 Service 5 Value for the money 4 Cleanliness I stayed here December 2015 and 2016.

The best thing it has is the proximity to the airport. The room we stayed in is pretty close to a busy road and not acoustically isolated, so expect to be disturbed by traffic noise. The service is ok. The breakfast buffet, although quite limited in terms of variety, is of an acceptable quality.

MULTIMILLION BUSINESS THAT CANT PROVIDE GHANGE FOR PAYMENTS! This motel has great awesome staff and they are always the best. I'm writing this as I stay weekly and been staying there for 10 years. Something's never change and it is not the staffs fault just weak upper management. Like no cable tv service most the time with staff directed to make it sound as it had just stopped working and they have reported it. AFTER several years it becomes clear they don't provide cable tv service and know it, they just advertise and claim they do. Also they consistently are never able to provide any change for any payments and often expect the customer to go somewhere and make the change for them? An example is attempting to pay a p200 charge for soda because they didn't have change for p1000 or p500 in the middle of the day so they charge it to the room. Then at the end of that shift still no change and ask you to have the next shift provided it. Then at checkout the following day still no change and expect you to go somewhere and get change for there business?? Don't let this discourage you from the motel it is a super clean and very budget place that seldom has working television or able to provide change for their business or even provide a phone number to make a complaint. Their reservation number is the most they attempt to allow someone to discuss a problem.

No water? Your problem. The greatest inconvenience you’ll ever have. If you love to not have relief and not get a bath. Try this Inn with molds and bad AC 🥳
Tyrone A — Google review
I regret to share that my stay at this budget-friendly hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, my room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, affecting both the room's scent and my breathing. Despite notifying the receptionist, it took two days to be relocated to a better room, significantly improving my experience. Unfortunately, I noticed staff members speaking about my request behind my back, leading to noticeable changes in their attitudes each time I interacted with them. Room service was also inconsistent, not attending to my needs for three consecutive days. On a positive note, the hotel offers a decent breakfast from 6 am to 10 am, and its proximity to three malls and various bars is convenient. The new room was an improvement, but I discovered I had been without a blanket for two days, a lapse perhaps due to miscommunication with housekeeping. While the price was attractive, these experiences contribute to my three-star rating instead of two. I'm thankful for the larger room, which I presume was offered due to limited alternatives.

Nestled in a vibrant area, Le Village hostel is a delightful haven for travelers seeking comfort and camaraderie. The welcoming staff create an inviting atmosphere, ensuring guests feel right at home. With a variety of accommodations ranging from private rooms to dorms with up to 10 beds, there's something for everyone. While the rooms are simple yet spacious and equipped with effective air conditioning, some bathrooms could use more attention to cleanliness.
V friendly staff. Pretty clean. Basic dingy toilets and showers but does the job. Good location. Free drinks with drinking games and has a good restaurant linked to it just outside. Busy road to hail cabs. AC is great. Nice young crowd. Would recommend and will be coming back.

Worst hostel I have stayed in. Most staff are rude , some are kind and want to help. The rooms are tidy but the lockers don't work. The beds, well you can feel the person sharing the bunk with you breath. The bathrooms are disgusting. They look like they have never been cleaned.ypu can not use the mirrors as they are so dirty. Most toilet's don't have a seat. There isn't any atmosphere at the hostel and I didn't feel safe. The hostel bar plays loud music all night with terrible singing from a live band. In conclusion, if you want just a bed then this place is fine.

The place is good but the wash room in room 5 seems like a horror movie like saw. Not clean and full of stains. The foreigners i am with that night says not to use it due to that condition. I'd rather use the public shower. They have free welcoming beer! And the ambiance is great though.

Awesome place. great employees that help with your every need (including starting up a game of flip cup with the whole hostel) and helping to get cabs when you leave. They also greet you with a free ice cold beer or pop on arrival. All in all a 10/10 experience. 👌

The room was clean but very cold at night. Restroom and shower area was not clean at all and seemed like they don't clean the area every day. There were bugs and dirty things on the sink. By looking at the picture, it looked like a social hostel but didn't really get to meet anyone other than people in the room. I was ready to leave in the morning the next day. Wouldn't really recommend this hostel.

The hostel Le Village is located approximately a half an hour drive without any traffic from the airport. It is also located a ten minutes drive from the South Bus Terminal. The rooms are different. From private rooms to 8 beds dorm and 10 beds dorms. The rooms are very simple but there is always enough space for everyone. Every room has also an AC that works perfectly. The staff is wonderful. Whatever problem one has they will always try do help you as much as they can. I can only recommend this hostel.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very nice & it was fairly social at night. I stayed in the private rooms which oddly enough are the only rooms without air conditioning. The bathrooms could be cleaner otherwise they were fine. The Wi-Fi was spotty beyond the rooms in the first hallway.

Nice place! The en-suite rooms upstairs aren't great but the (cheaper) rooms downstairs are very clean and close to the communal toilets/showers. I'd recommend staying in one of those. Great staff, very helpful and friendly!

West Gorordo Hotel is a conveniently located and eco-friendly hotel in the heart of Cebu City, making it an ideal choice for travelers. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with amenities such as cable TV, closet space, and dining tables. Guests can relax by the carp-filled pool or enjoy views of the coast from spacious rooms. While not a new establishment, it provides budget-friendly accommodation that is clean and secure. The hotel also features strict security measures to ensure guest safety.
I have no complaints about this hotel. The staff is courteous and helpful, the rooms are affordable and beautiful, and it even has its own museum. If you are looking for a good place to stay in Cebu, this is it.

Fuss-free hotel. Rooms are clean and hot and cold showers work. Has cable TV, closet space, little dining table and some rooms have sofas for additional seating. The hotel is not that new and if you're looking for a budget-friendly place that is also clean and secure, you might want to check this out. Your guests will not be allowed to go up to your room though but there are plenty of seating areas in the lobby and dining area.

I visit WGH often because we hold our prayer meetings there. This hotel is like an eco-hotel which you could instantly feel when you enter the hotel. It's not one of the popular hotels in the city but I see they have an ample amount of foreign guests (specifically Asian) checking in every month. I think that equals to good credit considering that Japanese are used to exemplified service. Their bathrooms are clean!!! I could attest to that. :) Their food is cooked upon order and I think they also serve organic food there. :)

Worst hotel experience of my life. Charges 500 pesos to eat any piece of external food item in their lobby, cannot bring any food into rooms. First hotel I've been to to DEMAND ID from EACH person staying at the hotel instead of just one. Hotel staff extremely rude, says it's a pet-friendly hotel but you will be met with glares wherever you take your pet around the hotel. No shampoo, no bottled water, provides 2 measely soaps and that's about it. Also charges 400 pesos per night for pets which we were not informed when we inquired about the hotel's accomodations for pets. Never seen a single smile during my stay in this hotel. Only redeeming property of this hotel was that the food was pretty good in their lobby for its price
Peter L — Google review
An eco friendly establishment 🏢 pushing for less carbon foot print that serves as a model for other hotels. Room rates are affordable but feels somehow that the service is compromised. Food is not something to be looked forward to. Toby Callos, the hotel's endearing canine receptionist, welcomes guest at the door 😁 which makes everything okay.

Its like a dorm. The room was nice considering the price. Its secure and has good wifi connection. Walking distance to ayala and perpetual succour hospital. If there is only one thing to improve for me is that they have to install better showerheads.
Chartreuse M — Google review
Good points: 1.A walking distance to Ayala Center Cebu and to the famous House of Lechon. 2. Clean rooms and quiet place. Bad Points: 1. They have a very strict policy of not allowing your friend or associate to go to your room. What if you really need a good massage from a legitimate masseur for a good night's rest after a tiring trip? I think they have to reconsider their somewhat too strict policy. 2. They will ask for your room number when you dine in their small caferteria. I find this odd and strange considering that the cafeteria is a separate operation from the hotel itself.

Food District Hostel Cebu Central is conveniently located in the heart of Cebu, providing easy access to all the city has to offer. The hostel offers excellent service and amenities, making it a great choice for budget travelers. It's situated close to popular restaurants, attractions, and shopping centers. The vibrant and colorful interior creates a lively atmosphere that uplifts your mood.
1st thing that'll meet you is their colorful set up. Twas amazing for me since their hostel is in the interior area of Lahug-JY location - it changes your mood. 😊 I was able to use their shared room and it really smelled good. I was the first one there though. Your random room mates would be a great factor in keeping the room smelling good. 🤣 There were only 2 ports though where i could charge my stuff; that's where my 3-metre wire came in handy. The restrooms are "common" for some accommodation ls though but at least they mentioned it prior to booking. But though its common, its really clean. Well-maintained. But since its being shared, i expected for it not to be spotless every minute or everytime i use it. But most of the time, twas clean. Their staff's nice. Noticed it when i apologized for talking generally in english when i realized that they all spoke in Tagalog - one staff person smiled and said its ok, then struck a conversation with me about how they noticed that cebuanos arent really fond of the said dialect. [For the life of me, dunno why that local dialect really freezes my tongue.] Going back. They also have 2 areas where you can just 'chill', aside from the receiving area. One area's open [possibly for those who smoke] while the other one's more 'covered', has a 'hanging single couch' and a mini-sofa with pillows. Value for money and comf'tability = 👌👏👍 I felt i paid lesser compared to the comfort that i experienced. Thus, 5stars for me.
Jar G — Google review
Great choice for the budget traveller. It's close to almost everything a tourist would want to visit—restaurants, sites, malls. And the staff were nice. Although they only provided one towel and one blanket for a bed that was clearly for two. And it was really noisy at around early morning to the point that we can't go back to sleep. I don't know if those were guests, the staff, or neighbors. But guessing from their language, I think maybe the staff or neighbors. The room we used could get a little more cleaning and polishing to make it look as brand new as the pictures they provided.
Dianne P — Google review
I went to that hostel because the good score, I didn't like it. Didn't get any hostel vibe, the room and the bathroom it was too dirty. My window was directly to the backyard where the staff was making noise and talking way too loud until 2am! I didn't like the spot either, any good restaurants around ( I read on the other opinions there where good restaurants around, I asked the staff and they didn't recommend me anything).
Neus B — Google review
Budget friendly. Has rooms for 2, 4 or 6 -(mixed, dorm type). Toilet and bath is common. They don't serve food and drinks but there are quite a number of restaurants in its 500 meter radius! Parking is outside, along the street and your can be towed at night by the strict city traffic people.
Jerico S — Google review
Service was good. Staffs were friendly but price is more expensive than what you'll get. Rooms are big though. But photos they have are way far from the actual. But what I love is the internet connection.

Bugoy Bikers Hostel offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for travelers seeking a homey experience. Nestled in a charming garden setting, this down-to-earth hostel features simple accommodations and a shared kitchen where guests can prepare their own meals. The friendly owners, Jens and his girlfriend, go above and beyond to ensure visitors feel at home, even accommodating late-night arrivals without reservations. With two adorable dogs greeting you at the entrance, the hostel exudes warmth from the moment you arrive.
I did not stay at the hostel, but had the pleasure of going on a bike tour up to Tops at the top of Busay mountain. Diego, my tour guide, was an incredible dude. He also gave me a ride back to the condo I was staying at after we returned. It was a tough and sweaty ride to the top, but it was so rewarding when you get up there, see the view, and know what you accomplished! I would highly recommend their bike tours. Also, Jens who was my main point of communication leading up to the tour, was an extremely helpful source of information as a first time traveler to the Philippines. Pedal power! 💪🏻

I've actually stayed here from December 6th to 9th 2024. It seems like the place has seen better days. The garden was completely miss cared, the toilet is not very good, and I've got no recommendations for bike tours or anything else... The owner wasn't there during my stay.

Seems perhaps it's an off season thing, yet they have signs indicating food and drink, yet they don't have most of what listed on the wall. Presently it's more of a cook on your own from the trust fridge at the moment. They have lots of signs for a bar that was here at one time. I ended up going to the supermarket as they had no beer and I was hoping for some sleepy juice due to my need to go to bed early for my next flight. The room is basic, good for a night of sleep after a flight. The staff is friendly and accommodating, they cooked me a meal after my 32 hours of flying and layovers, however, they suggested at first that I just cook for myself, I just didn't have the energy. I don't stay in hostiles much, yet this is just fine for simple accomodations. However, it's lacking the bar and most of the food that's posted on the walls at this time. Edit: Apparently the travel agency (Chase Miles) messed up my reservation, I had no idea, the hostel didn't mention it either, my apologies for the screws up. With regard to the beer I did ask, the staff told me to go to the store. I felt a bit weird asking for food, when I did they said I needed to to cook it myself, however I asked if they had any loganisa and they said no. I had no problem with that, and I said some sausage and rice, which was available, was fine and thanked them for cooking it for me. I made nothing upon my original review, perhaps just needed to explain more clearly as to my experience, so I'm not sure where that accusation came from. However, knowing the booking was not correct I can totally understand the challenge with an unexpected guest. Thanks for the stay, it worked out fine, regardless.

Room was advertised with AC, and it did not. Bed was too big for the bed frame, pieces of debruy on the bed. Some windows had see through curtain in place so felt quite open when in the room. Toilets had no bin for toilet paper, showers were cold and had a dead cockroach in it. Staff were lovely, but the place needs some TLC.

After a long night of flights.. We arrived very early morning and we were already able to check into our room as it was empty and ready. That realy is the best welcome you can have after long travels. We were welcomed warmly and after some sleep we spoke to the hosts. They helped us with our laundry and answered many questions about travelling through the philippines. They also gave us helpfull advance and recommendations. Thanks a lot!

The place is very homey. Two dogs will welcome you at the gate - terifying but cute and gentle once it gets to know you. The owners are two foreigners and are very warm and hospitable. They still welcomed us even without a reservation late at night. They have an ”honest” kitchen, which I find really convenient and nice. They also serve breakfast. Their porch and garden is very unique. The room we got was huge and really homey at a very affordable price. I strongly recommend this place for travellers both locals and foreigners. You'll also meet other travellers mostly at the kitchen 😆 The place is quite far from the main road but won't be a problem if you are into walking a kilometer or two.

We spent just 1 night in this place, but we felt good energy. The staff was so friendly and helpful even when we arrived late in the night. The bungalow where we stayed was so nice, having our own spacious terrace, and the bed was so simple but really comfortable!! And the toilet was very clean!

Nestled just 0.9 miles from the vibrant center of Cebu City, Achievers Dormitory offers a practical and budget-friendly accommodation option for travelers seeking convenience without breaking the bank. This hostel features compact single rooms equipped with essential amenities, including shelving units for your belongings. While the communal bathrooms are well-maintained and include shower shoes for guests, some may find the space a bit snug—especially if you're taller or traveling with larger toiletries.
The staff are really nice people! They give the right discount to PWDs. There is an eatery too. And, the rooms and restrooms are clean. Moreover, the place is near to all the places you should go to.
Shuichi M — Google review
Decent budget stay in Cebu. They had overbooked the dormitory but quickly fixed the issue and found me a place to stay. The room itself was small but had a comfortable bed. The toilets could use some better cleaning. It’s a bit in the back of an alley
Naomie — Google review
Went to check in and left after 15 minutes. If you have the budget, choose a different hostel other than this. there's only 1 plug in the room so you'll either charge or use the fan. The bathroom is also vvv far and not good if you work at night and needs to use it often
Jo-Ann C — Google review
I stayed at Achievers Dormitory for 11 days, renting their Single Room (Fan) with shared bathroom, and here’s my full experience—both the good and the not-so-good. Location One of the best things about Achievers is its accessibility. The location is very convenient—close to malls, the South Bus Terminal, and training centers. Although it’s not walking distance, it’s just a short ride away, so commuting isn’t a hassle at all. For those attending training or traveling around Cebu, this is definitely a plus. Room & Facilities I stayed in the fan room, which I personally wouldn’t recommend. The room itself is quite spacious—it has space for your things, a hanging rack, and even a small bedside table, which I appreciated. However, the fan isn’t enough to cool the room, especially during the day. It gets really hot, and I found it hard to rest comfortably. If you’re planning to stay here, I strongly suggest going for an air-conditioned room instead. The beddings were very thin, almost like blankets you wouldn’t use for sleeping. It didn’t feel cozy or comfortable, so if you’re particular about that, it’s something to keep in mind. Bathroom Situation This is where I had the biggest issue. The shared bathroom is not very private—especially for women. The cubicles are low, so if someone tall passes by, they can literally see inside. With many foreigners staying there, and most of them tall, it honestly felt unsafe at times. I found myself rushing through showers, always worried someone might walk by and catch a glimpse. Also, the floor is often wet ("sige ga danaw"), which can be uncomfortable and unsanitary. I think they really need to improve the drainage and add more privacy features to make guests feel safer and more at ease. Food They have a karenderya downstairs, which is convenient. However, I personally didn’t like the food. It was often too salty (asgad) for my taste. It’s okay if you just need something quick and cheap, but I ended up eating outside most of the time. Overall Experience Overall, my stay was just okay. It’s affordable and in a good location, but it definitely has a lot of room for improvement. If you're just staying short-term and on a tight budget, it might work—but don't expect comfort or privacy, especially if you're choosing the fan room. If I were to come back, I’d book an aircon room and probably find a different place to eat. Pros: Accessible location Spacious room with basic furnishings Affordable rates Karenderya on-site for convenience Cons: Fan room is uncomfortably hot Shared bathrooms lack privacy and proper drainage Beddings are thin and not comfortable Food is too salty (based on personal preference) Final Verdict: 3/5 stars – Good for budget-conscious travelers who just need a place to sleep, but if comfort and privacy are a priority, this might not be the best choice.
Angel O — Google review
Washstand is broken. Toilet is broken. I don't understand why they left a disgusting bucket in the bathroom. Even considering the low price, it's the worst.
꽃냥이Mo C — Google review
They didn't have a better idea than to start banging around with some repair at 8 in the morning, totally surreal. I don't know what's going through the owner's mind.
Jordi E — Google review
Provide what is said for the price it said, expecting more than that is a daydream. Food at the eatery is good and affordable. The place is clean and convenient enough. The location I am not to say cause I picked it to be close to what I need, but it was peaceful enough. A fair bargain.
Stephen M — Google review
Budget-friendly single room accomodations. Communal spaces are kept clean (6 toilet-shower combos) with shower shoes provided. Showers need shelves, not nice to put toiletries on the toilet. If you are on the taller side, you can put smaller sized toiletries on the overhead divider. Rooms are econo-size. So tiny, could not fit my yoga mat on the floor next to the bed There is a shelving unit in the room that you can put your clothes and belongings on. The big bonus is the Air conditioner that you can control. The diner downstairs had little to no Veg options. An earlier review posted about many Vegetarian options but I was not nearly as lucky. Could not eat there, not even once. Location is walking distance to San Carlos University, the port, many shopping malls and supermarkets. For the price, it's a good deal. Clean and safe. You have to pay for bottled water. There is a hot water kettle in the lobby. Hard to find due to small signage. When Google maps tells you that you're there, you're there.

TR3ATS Guest House is a modern hostel located conveniently near Cebu's economic centers, including Ayala Center, Robinsons Place, and Mango Square. It offers basic private rooms and dorms, with a casual cafe and convenience store on-site. The guesthouse is situated across from Lighthouse Restaurant and is about a 25-minute drive from Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
I am staying here and have stayed here before very nice place nice staff very helpful.. The dorm bunks have privacy curtains all clean and has multiple rest rooms and for us men who like to shave they even have sinks with mirrors... I have stayed in many guesthouses around cebu most of them suck that lack privacy lack the use of toilet among a room Treats has covered most of that plus their reception area is clean and easy to deal with If you are looking for decent Filipino food close by with multiple choices you must check out Manylit eatery has a very nice choice of food plus only a 1 minutes walk away If looking for travel then treats is in a great location as many jeepneys pass by day and night plus taxi is also quite easy to reach location is great because has many super markets plus going to a mall is very easy... If I can give treats a 10 star I would I am very happy with this place

Clean Guesthouse and friendly staff. Decent price for a private guestroom. Location is about 10 minutes away in a taxi from the bus station and 15 minutes on a Jeepney. Downtown is also about the same kind of distance away which is relatively close. There is a mini rooftop cafe on top of the guesthouse overlooking the mountains. Location is also safe with local eateries across the street.

Air condition was barely cooling up the room. I was also greeted by a cockroach in the toilet (which was extremely small). Google says it is a two star hotel and it for sure wasn't. There was also a big wall damage and the main door was that of bathroom type. Even the pillows were underwhelming.

Very small cramped dorm. Clean enough but just not all you would expect from a nice hostel. But it's fine if you just need a place for a night or two and don't mind being a bit far from the action.

Stayed here last year. I was with my brother and my parents, both were senior citizen. It was the closest inn we could find so we checked it out since it was already late. *I also looked it up online and checked the reviews beforehand. And no bad comment so go* But I was really disappointed and insulted upon arriving at the place. Maybe I could put up with the atmosphere that greeted us but in my parents part, I couldn't. That lady at the front desk was not at all welcoming. My parents were tired from their long trip to cebu. And that was the last thing I wanted them to feel. Tbh nakakasuka Yung feeling, upon checking i almost wanted to just take it back and find another place to stay. We checked in at around 10 and super early in the morning, we checked out kasi di na talaga namin kaya, kung di lang talaga pagod ang parents ko di kami magsstay. Please kahit sino man ang nasa front desk, please always be nice. Please din wag kayong pumili ng customer na you're going to be nice to. Also I don't recommend this if may kasama kayong senior citizens, because you have to take a lot of stairs to get there. Okay lang to sa mga backpacker. Anyways, decent naman ang place, sakto lang ang banyo para makagalaw ka. But not worth the price.

It's clean and only one year old that's about all it has going for it. The Wi-Fi only works in the common area and if there is more than two people using it then it is to slow to function. The only standard plug socket is behind the tv. The TV is fuzzy on all western channels. There is no DVD player and I wasn't aloud use the USB port to play a movie . The reason given was incase the TV got a virus???. Was it a smart tv? No!. The common area has a two seater sofa and two foot stools. Ninos bar is about 20 feet away. It was cheaper to buy beers in the bar than the hostel. It was also 100pp cheaper to rent a bike. The hostel also come after you for money if the petrol tank isn't exactly as full as it was before. A staff member came into the room at 830am and could clearly see people sleeping but began to talk loudly before another guest silenced her. On the first night at around 11pm a staff member entered our room that already had the lights off just to get my email address. She almost woke my friend who was sleeping. Everytime you buy an overpriced bottle of water you sign a (blank) receipt. A terrible run business where they try to get as much money as they can from you

The rooms are good, secure and the amenities are also good especially the rooms are clean and the rooftop is beautiful and they have a pool. The service is also good the staffs are very welcoming. And the location is very convenient if you are looking to go to the IT Park it is only a few minutes away and if you are looking to go get a food there is a 7/11 near the hotel and they have their own restaurant and also there is a chinese/ vietnamese restaurant also located on the vicinity. This are just what I have seen and experience.

Stayed as a guest at the hostel and as a tenant. The hostel was an okay experience. Good location. The beds were comfy and the room rates were affordable. There’s 24 hour food shops, convenience stores and a massage place. I decided to move in due to the near by coffee shops and restaurants located on the ground floor (places I could study) and they also allowed small pets. I planned to stay for 5 months but decided to leave after 1 month. The shower water pressure was the slowest I’ve ever experienced living in the city which was a shock because the showers at the hostel side worked perfectly fine. The in house laundry station requires you to go all the way down and to the other building to request for staff to activate the laundry machines and the Wi-Fi was very slow and would constantly disconnect at times. Before moving in you’re also required to give a 5,000 peso initial deposit which was acceptable and the process for your refund would take a month after checking out however it’s been almost 2 months since check out and after multiple follow ups, I still haven’t received my refund.
Denisse T — Google review
I stayed at this new hostel for a 4 day work trip. I managed to book a room at a good price through Agoda when I searched for one less than two weeks away from my flight. It’s a 20-25 minute drive away from the airport. Located in a compound and near IT Park, The Pad has all the essentials surrounding it: a convenience store, a spa, some cafes and restaurants. It has a spacious elevator that works well and makes going to your unit a lot more convenient. The Pad also has its own restaurant and bar. Though I wasn’t able to pay the bar a visit, I heard good things about it from fellow travelers, like how they would host quiz nights and acoustic sessions at night. The restaurant opens at 10 AM, but from 6 AM to 10 AM, they offer an unlimited breakfast buffet that is currently priced at P390. The room that I booked was alright—nothing too fancy, but also a good deal. As a solo traveler, I am always out, so I don’t look for anything special with where I sleep and bathe. I only need the basics: toiletries, proper ventilation, and a comfortable bed. The room came with a towel and toiletries, but not a pair of slippers (which would have been helpful). The room had no rug, so it was a bit of a hassle to take a shower and have to completely dry yourself so that the floors wouldn’t get wet. I also wish that the bed came with a comforter and not just linen, since it feels strange not to be wrapped in anything comfortable when sleeping. I just had to adjust the AC’s temperature to keep myself from freezing. Only problem I had with this was that the AC would leak when kept on for too long. Another point of improvement would be the responsiveness of the front desk and the clarity of policies. When I booked through Agoda, I was under the impression that the breakfast buffet was included in my payment, since it was listed as one of the free facilities, but when I arrived, I was informed that it was not part of my booking. Their policy on the Agoda website also says that check in is available 24/7, but it turns out that you have to pay an extra P500 if you want to check in earlier than 2 PM. Same with check out. It says that you can check out until 11 PM, but I was told by front desk that they can only keep you until 2 PM for free. If you check out past 2 PM, you have to pay an additional P500. I honestly do not mind this kind of policy, but I wish it was part of the guidelines written in the posting. During my stay, I asked the front desk for a contact number that I could reach out to so that I wouldn’t keep going down, and they gave a number that was different from what their Agoda posting says. I thought they were going to accommodate me more easily, but the number wasn’t helpful at all. I still had to go downstairs to ask for help, such as when my shower heater wasn’t working. It took over an hour for help to arrive - and again, I do not mind, but I wish I had been updated about what time I could expect help because they arrived past 11 PM. I also tried to request for another tissue roll, but that never came. These are the only qualms that I have about my stay and I really think that with a bit more training, the staff could learn to have more initiative and be more accommodating to their guests. Still, I would recommend this place to those traveling on a budget and would spend most of their time outside.

Had a great stay with affordable price and accommodating staff. The location of the place was very nice and near cafes and even has 7/11 in front of the building. Recommended if you are planning to go to Cebu to enjoy both City and Province vibes.

Stayed here at a time that there’s a construction outside so travelling to and from the hotel was a hassle. The rooms are 1/5, the floors were not tiles so it was dirty and there wasn’t even slippers or rags inside. Slippers are sold at ₱300 each. The heater did not work, the bed is not soft There are a lot of restaurants on the first floor and 7eleven so it was convenient still. Pool area is nice too. overall a 2/5 experience

Loved our stay here! The staff were super nice and helpful. The place is clean and cozy — perfect for a quick getaway. 10 for water supply the best.

2 stars for: 1. Pretty good location & 2. Pretty nice area. -3 stars for: 1. Budget rooms but their food is expensive. Took them 1 hour for our meal to be ready in their cafe. 2. Staff attitude, we were out the whole day and they never bothered to call us to ask us to move our things (we extended our stay and had to transfer rooms that we found out LATER). Staffer gave some attitude about it and no brain cell to call us. 3. No warning or notice about construction that’s happening at the next lot. Lastly, the water heater didn’t work in the 1st room we were in. Also there needs to be: “observe silence” sign cause people are obnoxiously loud. I almost scolded someone. GoHotel in Ortigas MNL is vastly better Thank you

Guests can also enjoy the convenience of an on-site cafe. The hostel offers private rooms and dorms, both designed with comfort in mind. The 24/7 convenience store adds to the overall convenience.
I'm super happy with a stay. Beautiful room everything clean and modern, comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, receptionist and guys in the restaurant on top were the best! Also at the bottom there is convenience store if you forgot something or need anything for travel.

Exceptional Stay at Moonstar Hotel – Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Moonstar Hotel in Cebu, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was immediately impressed by the clean and modern interior of the hotel. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay due to the strategic set up. I also appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which made it easy to stay connected during my trip. Another highlight was the hotel’s complimentary breakfast and snack selection in the convenient store downstairs, which served an array of quick bites + beverages along with toiletries. The breakfast was a great way to start the day, with a wide variety of options that catered to different tastes with generous portions. Overall, my experience at Moonstar Hotel was nothing short of amazing. The combination of great service, clean facilities, and a fantastic room setup made it the perfect place to stay during my trip to Cebu. I will definitely be returning on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and affordable stay in Cebu!

Really good, modern and super clean hostel! We stayed for just a night but everything was perfect. The owner was really nice and helped us with organizing our trip. We also had food in the restaurant upstairs. Both breakfast and dinner were cheap and really good! Definitely can recommend going there!

This is the best hostel/hotel in Cebu. 24 hour convenience store, and Klasik Restaurant and Bar, built in, all at the best prices you will find. Locals and foreigners stay, buy, and dine here. The capsules are awesome. The AC is refrigerator quality and filters are kept clean. They provide a polar fleece blanket and each capsule has its own directable AC vent. No food is allowed in the capsule rooms, but the common room has AC, and comfortable seating. It’s quiet, too. Security is perfect, and the staff are impeccable. Water pressure is great and they have hot water. I’m not a fan of the captive wifi, but it works and is fast enough. The place is just a year old, I think, but everything is maintained very well. They even have memory foam toppers on the capsule mattresses! This is in my top 10 hostel/hotels that I’ve stayed at, worldwide.

The cashier in the convenience store is so rude and curses us because of the mode of payment. As a regular costumer of the convenience store this is the first time that we had experience that kind behavior. When we buy things the cashier would ask on the mode of payment but as what occurred in this incident the cashier did not even ask us first regarding the mode of payment. Hoping for the management to look upon this issue it may not only happen to us but also to the other customers. With this experience the store lost a regular.

Nice hotel, really friendly personal. The bed is really comfortable. You have everything what you newd for 1-3 nights. Near the bus station. Only minus point, if you want a really calm night, you need ear plugs. Nice terasse and a good restaurant. Would come again, amazing price.

We had a really good stay at the Moonstar Cebu, we had a late flight and wanted a place near the airport to sleep and this fit perfectly! The interior was really well designed, clean and pretty. They must have invested in thw bedding because this was the most confortable bed we slept for all our trip, we had a great night and woke up rested and refreshed! Would recommend!

Nestled just 1.8 miles from the vibrant heart of Cebu City, Europa Breakfast and Bed offers a unique hostel experience at Avida Towers Cebu IT Park. This budget-friendly accommodation is perfect for travelers looking to explore the local attractions while enjoying a comfortable stay. Guests appreciate the welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly staff, as well as the clean facilities that include air conditioning and spacious twin beds with large windows for natural light.
If you can tolerate some issues, I have to give five stars for the price, and location. Other good points; very friendly staff, clean, plus room includes AC, cold water only shower, big window, twin size comfortable bed. Just be prepared for three sets of stairs, ants, leak in bathroom, toilet flushing problem and intermittent but fairly good internet in the room. We worked around the problems and very happy overall despite the issues.
Jeffzey — Google review
Stayed here for 5d/4n. No lift. The room was clean upon arrival. But the hotel staff didn't clean my room since then despite my repetitive requests. There were ants crawling on the floor. The staffs, however, were assistive on my other requests.
Claire R — Google review
Very basic hotel. Good location. But bathrom is terrible, no hot water, shower barly shooting out water, drains are cludged so there is always flood. Toilet does not flush. Little red ants in the room. Only 2 free electricity sockets in room and finally the bed is just a piece of foam, no real matress so it's hard to get some proper rest.
Uros R — Google review
I been coming here 3 years, its the cheapest place around Mango Square. Great location and the rooms are colorful. The wifi is decent but there is no hot water, some times the aircon works great, some times it doesn't. You get what you pay for here. There are some roaches but its the tropics and that is normal. There is great store around the corner where you can always buy beer and snacks 24/7.
Dustin D — Google review
A place to lodge when your on a budget. No lift or elevator. Room is fine, colorful flooring. The good thing about this is the location cause it's near Fuente Circle, close to the Robinson Fuente, Robinson Cybergate and Hospitals and Stores. Other than that it's somewhat good place to stay in.
RJames D — Google review
To the management, please improve ur area. A Family room for a rate of P1,100 is very disappointing. Small tv, no cable! A lot of ants in the floor. There linen is so itchy(maybe bedbugs). No rag in the CR. Telephone is not working. Excluded breakfast meal is P145 but the viand is very small, not worthy for the price (rice, egg, and the pork was so small, same size sa egg(less than 10 bits slices). Also the cabinet is broken.
Mary T — Google review
Rooms are too small..the tv is old school, its do small.. upon checking in, they were still cleaning the room and this one person na pinapatungan nya sa desk ung towel ko na inilabas sa stock rum. When i was about to sleep, i opened my blanket and there were a lot of hairs like it was never cleaned and did not replaced the bedsheets its like they just pulled tge sheets to look neat. So i just used the other side of the towel and laid it on the bed. Good thing is they have fast internet connection. They have cable and cold a/c.
Reiz M — Google review
The worst! The doors are not working it wont lock whenever you go out its open! The bathroom stinks! Yung imburnal sumusungaw sa CR. We have to transfer rooms! Dont ever book to this hotel. This is not worth tge stay!

Located in the heart of Cebu City, Cebu Pungko Pungko Hostel offers a convenient stay just 2.2 km from Church and Convent of Santo Nino. The hostel is close to Robinson Puente Osmena, where guests can easily access a variety of food options and a large supermarket. The hostel provides both air-conditioned double rooms and dormitories, all kept clean by the friendly staff.
If you want cheap place to stay and friendly staff this is the place. Free unlimited coffee! Don't expect too much. Bathrooms are okay Bed is okay A little noisy at night but it's fine
April C — Google review
IF YOU"VE GOT 0 PLANS ON SLEEPING PEACEFULLY THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE . this place is noisy AF . the path leading to the hostel is dark and it smells like a local dump. tiny cockroach everywhere.. front desk ladies looks like they don't know what they're doing.
Jjae — Google review
For the price, its decent, near malls & restaurants/cafe, they provide free kitchen use, bath towel, body soap and shampoo. Downside are: no hot water and yeah sometimes the bathroom would smell like sewer but the water is clean, although kinda slow, the top bunker kinda has a bit of dust. AC was fine for me and the employees were young and polite
Hannah B — Google review
Built in Sewer. Full of sewage smell unbearable. dirty and no maintenance like bungalow If I mention: Charming staff girls *Allowed me to change the date due to a flight delay. * Free drinking water is served. * There is basic tableware to use with a kettle and microwave oven (except cooking tools like an electric oven). * Not bad location near the center area * Wi-fi was so-so * There is a lounge area with a sofa Cons: * full of sewage smell * no cleaning/ maintenance (despite staff is there 24H) *broken shower with very weak pressure * generally impossible smell or unsanitary * Nightmare sewage river dipping sound 24H * even A.C. air is from the toilet. * bugs from gap on wall * Linings are worn out and stained. I wonder why this accommodation has a higher score. maybe because the dormitory area (on the road side) is not so bad compared with the private room side. private area is the hell. with a smell facing the gutter. bad air.   unsanitary. I must say that this accommodation was the almost worst level that I experienced for accommodation. I was very surprised and shocked to arrive for the first time. strong smell of food (vinegar) near the entrance as it's located behind a deep-fried shop. I must say this accommodation was the almost worst level that I experienced for accommodation. .. Also, after entering the accommodation, I noticed a I noticed a weird smell (it was sewage). and the first room, which they brought, was the worst. It was a small room with a hundred years old rust and small, sticky bunk beds with spider nests, bugs, rats, or birds. on the roof. There was no trace of cleaning. power outlet is at the lower bed. (Even staff say about smells.) especially, it's like living right on inside sewage and sewage water right from outside. always dipping flow sound of water, it seems to be built on the sewage river. The window of the bathroom is connected to the sewage river. (in Philippines, sewage system seems not developed mostly. so each house process or just throw away to river..) Also, the A.C. is bringing such sewage air directly to the room. It's a nightmare. How a property owner tries to make money from such qualities as prison and torture of toilets. What was not good. I mistakenly booked and paid for 2 weeks. So after consulting, the staff let me move to another room on the third day for no extra payment. which is bigger and nicer with a double bed despite not having a private bathroom. However, what I noticed is that anyway, the smell was still there as the window was jalousie and the air was coming and warming the room. also A.C.  seems built into the toilet? and sometimes a strong smell comes in as well. impossibly. (Jalousie window cannot be closed perfectly intentionally as a default, so always smelly and unsanitary air comes into the room, and also the A.C. temperature is not maintained.) Thousands of ants came into the room from scratch between A.C. Well, generally, I am very surprised about the quality of life in Cebu (Philippines). This place is not for foreigners (tourist). The sanitary disadvantage is huge. while the price is not so superior. Who wants to live in the old toilet? with money?
Sachio T — Google review
It's a hostel, not hotel. Don't expect something super nice. But the price is very kind as same as the stuff. I was staying there almost a week and it was nice. I had everything I needed except of kitchen, which was only for stuff and I could use only very basic things like microwave, cattle but not the stove, which is pity. But I met a lot of interesting people there so if you are backpacker, can really recommend. 😁
Jiří B — Google review
The location is nice. Its near the Fuente circle, an easy accessible landmark. It's a hostel (dormitory type stay) so it's best for backpackers or someone who just need a place to stay for the night plus it's cheap. It's inside the pungko2 restaurant so you already have access to variety of food.
Gael O — Google review
It was a great place to stay for travelers on a budget. The location was great because it was near the osmeña circle, where a lot of businesses are situated. The room we got has towels, blankets, and a small desk space. There is a shared living room with a very comfy couch and a kitchen with free water and coffee. The wifi is not pretty fast but still tolerable. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Lastly, I got to pet a couple of cute and sweet cats. However, the entrance/exit to the hostel was quite horrible. You have to walk through the eatery which is quite smelly and a bit dirty. It was also a bit loud due to the customers.
Leigh — Google review
Location is good if you want access to city stuff or the port, or the airport. And the price is fair for what you get. Instant coffee sachets and hot water are free. But otherwise it's pretty basic. The lounge/common room area is quite hot and dimly lit. To get in, you go through/around a popular eatery. Lockers available and fan in the dorm room.

“If desperate around IT Park Cebu area...” I wish the owner improves facilities: 1. use white LED bulbs to reduce "kinky" aura of rooms and why the corridors WITHOUT lights? 2. Threadbare towels... with holes. I used my own... 3. For its price, big room and bed, but no other amenities like bidet, toiletries need to be requested... 4. Best asset? Location for Waterfront Lahug or IT Park events, convenient commute to all city tourist places.. 5. Overall... I'll look for a more wholesome place in the same price point next time!

Reservations, don't go direct as they won't answer or don't know what to do. Location ideal it's near my destination of business, with 7-11 store. Room, old faded paint, sheet too thin, bed hard, noisy Aircon, Toilet sharing it was indicated in the online platform 😡. Don't use this hotel unless you need it for short time. 3 hours use. ZERO WIFI

Toilet is shared between 2 rooms. Small roaches are everywhere. Check under the bed it's likely never been cleaned in ages. Not recommended.
Daniel S — Google review
Had to rent here as we had a temporary gig nearby for 3 months. It's quite cheap considering its location, and the number of people who had to stay there. However, the rooms were bareback. You had to pay for a monthly elevator fee, and the front desk experience is very awful. Our bill was written on a piece of paper that was torn from a notebook(very suspicious), and the front desk said that they cannot provide an official bill until after we pay. We had to wait for more than an hour when we checked out, because they weren't aware that we were going to check out, and they needed to check with the system first, which they had no access to, and had to contact their management to do.
Brendo B — Google review
I had bad experience here in there JY Lahug branch. I booked online and when I arrive there, the staff didn't see it in their system. They have an info but it's in a different person. I have already the email confirmation that it's successful and paid but the staff is not knowledgeable and don't know what to do. It's already past 2AM in the morning, we're still in argue and they didn't let us to checkin. I even ask for additional person in room and they didn't let us allow to do so but instead getting a new room. So I ended up let my parents check-in and I went home instead. Indeed a really worst experience for the first time. I will never forget and visit this inn again 😡😤

Mybed Dormitory offers impeccable service and essential amenities for guests. The dormitory is well-maintained, with clean restrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a laundry area. Although ongoing construction promises further improvements, the lack of a cooking area is currently the only drawback. Additionally, the dormitory's convenient location near popular tourist spots and commercial establishments makes it an ideal choice for budget travelers in Cebu.
Nice place to stay in Cebu if you have a limited budget. However, the curfew hours are a bit confusing. It says the dorm's gate will be locked at exactly 12 midnight, but they locked it two hours earlier. Despite this, the service is good, the staff is respectful, and the room is clean. Definitely recommended.
Marion Y — Google review
The bed is comfortable and clean comfort room however they have an early curfew. I read the notes attached at the door and it said at 12 midnight they will close the gate but I was locked out at 10:30 PM and I needed to ask to open the gate. The dorm policy is not accurate and they do not follow it. They should not close the gate at 10PM, it clearly says on the policy 12 midnight the gate will be closed. 😞😞 Not a good experience being locked out.

Toilet is barely out of order. Flash don't work and no hot water . They just don't care to fix it as I've read it isn't working since last year . I wouldn't recommend it not only for that but for the neighborhood and the noisy noisy night . But if the room had a window like a common window that closes as all windows do the noise wouldn't bother at all. But they don't care . So a big no.

Near Fort Pedro and the main church. Close enough also to the bus terminal. Cheap price. Entrance street may be off-putting for some, especially in the evening/night. A little bit too small for a couple. AC noisy and not working great. Toilet flush and sink tap not working.

The dorm is beautiful, it's only a dorm yet it looks like it's a suite because of how the place is maintained with the paints and the design, rest rooms are clean and complete with necessary equipments, wifi is available, there's a laundry hanging area. The building is still ongoing construction at the 3rd floor which means it's subject to more improvements, my only issue for now is there isn't a cooking area yet. P.S. There's also a cute and friendly kitty😍

The hotel's staff is known for being friendly and helpful.
This is exactly what you pay for and expect. Simply a clean "capsule" where you sleep and not much more. Some food options walking distance and 7-eleven a block away. Good price for what it is, perfect if you're transiting through Cebu via ferry or bus as it's near the port and south bus terminal, don't expect a hostel type vibe with fun common rooms and activities as this is not their proposition. Quiet sleep, on a side street so not too busy.

Clean and comfortable backpacker capsule accommodation located in the city proper. Wifi works well though there aren't many good restaurant options nearby. I left my water bottle here in January and was able to pick it up a few months later. I appreciate the staff for keeping it safe. They're attentive and nice.

Balai Balai is fabulous. Very clean and comfortable. The self-contained beds are a great feature. Lots of room inside and everything you need close at hand. Lots of space for hanging and storing your belongings. Instead of the usual curtain for privacy, these beds have their own sliding, lockable doors. A very practical addition. The bedding and towels were of a high quality. But the best thing Balai Balai has is great staff. They are so friendly and very, very helpful. They offered lots of little extras and local advice, and it made my stay very comfortable and relaxed. I'm certainly looking forward to another visit. Thank you for taking good

I have never stayed in a hostel before, i was adamant at first But HQ hostel exceeded my expectations. We stayed there for sinulog since this hostel is situated at the heart of cebu. Accessible to everything, fast food chain, grocery shops and shopping centres. Also, they hAve a huge parking space incase you’ll rent a car which we did. They just don’t have clean rooms, great coffee, super speedy internet, very accommodating staff, they also have luggage storage for free since we had an evening flight... But what i like the most is how i felt safe and secured during our stay. Words are not enough to describe how satisfied we were during our stay! Definitely going to stay there again! I had a wonderful stay at this transient house! The place was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. The rooms were comfortable, the amenities were complete, and the location was very convenient—close to stores and public transport. The host was friendly and responsive, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and affordable place to stay!
Ianne — Google review
The room is very spacious, neat, and well-ventilated. The rate for the rooms is really budget-friendly but really of good quality service. The staffs are very accommodating. The area is accessible. Highly recommended especially for those who would want a chill stay may it be short term or long term.
Christine A — Google review
Highly recommended! The property is budget-friendly yet very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff members were welcoming too. Perfect for a short stay in Cebu.
Jehannah C — Google review
Stayed 2 nights here for the board exam which was great because the place was quiet, peaceful, safe, clean, and not to mention, budget-friendly. Saved a great deal of money by staying here. Location-wise, it's also very convenient, with many sari-sari stores nearby so you can always buy what you need like groceries. Walking distance to a huge park, which is perfect for an early morning or afternoon walk/jog. Staff was really accommodating. Big thanks to Mam Neth for helping me with my requests. You can opt to cook your own food in the common kitchen or order a silog meal from them. My only gripe here is the broken doorknob to my room and the bathroom. Very minor, but those could still use some fixing. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay in this transient accommodation. Might return here when I have the chance to explore Cebu again.
Tina A — Google review
The place is accommodating also comfortable to stay and very accessible to the places you want to go. The person in charge of transients is also friendly. The room is clean. By the way, I took a single room.😂😉. Malapit din siya sa police camp Kaya safe naman ang place☺️ highly recommended
Novie B — Google review
We reserved a room for 2 people this aug 9 for one night, when we confirm the reservation this day (aug 8) the company just told us that the room is already unavailable, like how? We just did a reservation last aug 2 but when we check the room now (aug 8) it's already unavailable. Its a no for us, bad costumer service I suggest you include a policy and inform your costumer first that "No down payment No reserved of rooms" before you tell your costumer that the room is already reserved for them even if they dont ask about that policy you should initiate on telling them because not all costumers are aware of that policy especially if they are new to the city. Thats all, still thank you for your time and effort on replying to us and and Have a good day

Hot and cold water (for food) on the 1st floor. Shared refrigerator. There are eating areas on both the 1st and 2nd floors. You can ask for mugs, plates, a knife, etc. The staff calmly responds to all requests. There is air conditioning and internet. We, as conscious travelers, are generally satisfied! The hostel's prime location allows easy access to various city attractions and amenities.
Very cosy hostel. Its clean, has got Aircon and lockers. Showers are in the rooms. There is no street on the maps but its there and at the very end. Need deposit for lockers 100PHP - which you will get back. Lockers fit small bags.
VTracks P — Google review
Sorry, but no. It’s dirty and cramped. The people living there are long-term so it’s disgusting. Club outside and very loud. People are constantly turning on the lights and they are bright. For the same price you can stay at a decent place nearby. The moment I arrived I contemplated leaving and finding a different place. The only upside here is that towels are provided. I never felt so sad spending 400 pesos before today. Do not stay here. FOR LOCALS ONLY
Review R — Google review
Garbage place. Filthy, cramped, weird vibes. Toilet didn't work, AC in room only blew onto bottom bunk (rest of room was not), no security/lockers. Great location though, yet nothing to do in Cebu regardless:-)
Ben K — Google review
Beds were comfortable, WiFi worked really well and the guys working there were very useful for information and friendly to chat with. In a good location in town and close to south Cebu bus terminal
Ben T — Google review
For the price I got with the amenities, it's the best in town. I recommend this hostel if you're for a quick wholesome sleep in the city center.
Jord S — Google review
They have lockers and room was good. Crashed there only for one night though. Staff is helpful and responds to phonecalls
Keven E — Google review
It was simple. Perfect for those who want to explore the City. Almost everything is a walking distance from there.
