1Leona Cakes & Pastries

Bakery
Leona Cakes & Pastries is a well-known bakery in Cebu for their delicious desserts and chocolates. Their most famous cake is the chocolate cake which many locals swear by.
This branch of Leona's Cakes and Pastries in Ayala Center Cebu is located at Level 1, Activity Center. It's located inside and not outside though it you are lost and want to go to Leona's, locate to the Terraces and guide to the Activity Center, Level 1 as said. They sell cakes that last long, delicious pastries that can be eaten inside or bought to be eaten elsewhere. Don't expect the services to be 5 stars as anticipated but the food is delicious enough. The only thing that matters is if you want to modify your cakes cause you are better off ordering elsewhere. As long as you refrigerate the cake, it will last surprisingly long compared to other cakes that melt easily at room temperature. Atmosphere not rated.
Arnel P — Google review
their cakes and pastries has always been a get to for whatever occassions, celebration and sugar cravings. they started with just a pastry shop right in front of landers. carrot cake, choco banana, choco walnut, choco marshmallow are just among my favorites. what's nice is that their pastries are not overly sweet. oh and price is just right and affordable. it used to be just a take out only but they have expanded to dine in service, which is nice. i'll be back to try the rest of their goodies.
Miguel M — Google review
The red velvet cheesecake hands down remains one of the best that I have tasted. Moist and presentation is nice. However, we saw two roaches. One of the roach was killed by the staff when we asked for assistance as it was about to crawl on our feet. But another roach came out after the first one was killed. The floor is filthy. 😥 Best to buy for take out next time.
Chichi G — Google review
Still one of the best local cakes in Cebu. Classic, authentic and full of flavors.
Kristina T — Google review
I’ve always loved Leona’s cakes and pastries, especially the carrot cake and cream puff-my favorite treats, and I usually look forward to buying it whenever I’m at Ayala Cebu. But after my recent visit, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this branch anymore. There was this one attendant who really made the experience unpleasant. She was this mestiza attendant and had an obvious attitude, like she didn’t want to be there or was doing me a favor by assisting. If you’re working in customer service, it’s only fair to treat people with respect. If you can’t give your best at work, then at least don’t make it harder for customers who are just trying to buy something. It’s disappointing because I still believe Leona has some of the best cakes and pastries out there. But if the staff keeps acting this way, it ruins the whole experience. I hope management gives proper training to their attendants and cashiers. Good food will always draw people in, but bad service will drive them away.
Gigi T — Google review
Leona’s Cake and Pastries Ayala is at Ground Floor, beside TGIF, across the Activity Center. Near the central exit to Terraces. Cakes are delicious and affordable. They also sell cake slices to be dined in or take out.
Geomariefer E — Google review
To have coffee and a slice of their cake, any kind of their cake for that matter, is fantastic! The only thing better is having someone to share the moment with. Smaller than most of their shops, they still carry the all time favorites. It's hard to beat Leona's for their quality and best of all their prices!
Jerico S — Google review
Chanced upon the Ayala branch. Pillowy breads, freshly baked empanadas, great with the perfectly brewed coffee. Banana breads and carrot cakes hit the mark. I heard they make great red velvet cakes but that'll be for next time. Staff served the coffee with a smile. Lakas maka quietly old rich dito. Yung tipong sosyal pero di mayabang.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Cebu, Cafe Georg is a beloved local gem that feels like an exclusive country club where familiar faces abound. This cozy spot is perfect for those who know exactly what they want before even glancing at the menu. Start your culinary journey with their creamy Spinach and Cheese Dip or indulge in the Quinoa Blue Cheese Harvest, which beautifully balances sweet fruits and crunchy walnuts with hearty grains.
Comfort food! Not too salty or sweet, just right. Make sure to make reservations on Sundays as the place tends to get packed. Great place to have brunch with friends and/or family.
Patrice G — Google review
Food is superb! I like their version of pork humba, pork is so tender and melts in your mouth. My daughter loved the carbonara and cakes. If we will visit Cebu in the future, it is a must to stop by at Cafe Georg!
Lani O — Google review
My Pasta Haven 🍝 Cafe George has always been my go-to restaurant whenever I’m craving pasta. They offer a wide variety of dishes on their menu, but their pasta? Never disappoints. Here are some of my all-time favorites: 🥣 Spinach & Cheese Dip – 10/10
My ultimate favorite! Creamy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing (or not!). 🥗 Caesar Salad – 10/10
Fresh, crisp, and generously topped with dressing and cheese—just how I like it. 🍝 Carbonara – 10/10
Rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. A must-try for any pasta lover. 🍖 Classic Pork Belly – 8/10
Tender and flavorful 🍗 Spinach Chicken – 8/10 a pasta with 2 spinach chickens on top ☕ Spanish Latte – 9/10
Smooth and comforting. The sweetness is just right—not overpowering. Dessert:
🍫 Chocolate Decadence – 10/10
If you’re a fan of dark chocolate, this is it. Rich, intense, and satisfying. Feels like indulging in a chocolate cake and dark chocolate in one bite. 🍰 Cheesecake – 8/10 Creamy not overly sweet. 🌿 Ambiance – 10/10 The restaurant exudes charming old/vintage vibes—cozy, timeless, and perfect for slow, relaxing meals.

Must-Try Dishes Cafe Georg is known for serving up comforting and refined dishes with generous portion sizes. Customers frequently highlight the savory appetizers and decadent desserts. Spinach & Cheese Dip: This is arguably the most famous appetizer, with multiple long-time patrons calling it "THE BEST!" It's a highly recommended start to any meal. Mains & Savory: Popular choices include the deliciously marinated Lemongrass Chicken and the hearty Pork Chops with Garlic Herb Butter. Reviewers also recommend the Hickory Ribs (praised for their tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat) and the flavorful Penang dish. They also offer a variety of options for different preferences, including a Black Bean and Quinoa Burger for vegan and vegetarian diners. Desserts: The cakes and pastries are a major draw, often cited as the perfect edible gift. Must-tries include the rich and decadent Kahlua Chocolate Mousse, the classic Carrot Walnut Cake, and the Avocado Pie, which one reviewer calls "to die for."
Manuel V — Google review
Sweet spot for anyone who loves desserts and coffee. Their chocolate cake is rich and moist, the banana choco chip slice is soft and flavorful, and the chocolate walnut cake has the perfect mix of sweetness and chewy. The coffee pairs perfectly with everything, smooth, warm, and comforting. A great place to relax and treat yourself! ☕🍰✨
Ilyn T — Google review
I’ve always loved Cafe Georg! The spinach and cheese dip will always be one of my favorite appetizers of all time anywhere. The pastas and salads are good and the lemongrass chicken is delicious. The chocolate cake is tasty, but I’ve found I actually love the kahlua chocolate mousse even more!
Willow — Google review
I keep coming back here, especially when I’m with a bigger group. The food is always good and the portions are generous. I personally like the spinach & cheese dip!! The ambiance is chill too, and the servers are friendly. Always a solid choice.
Lorraine — Google review
I ordered a cheesecake and a cafe latte. The cheesecake was really delicious. It wasn’t big, but it had rich flavor. Also, unlike regular sweet cheesecakes, it wasn’t too sweet, which I really liked it. I think even people who don’t like sweet things will be fine with this cheesecake.

Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Cebu, Orange Brutus has evolved from its humble beginnings as the city's first hamburger chain in the 1980s to a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. The original location opened in Colon, within Fairmart department store, offering a bright and inviting atmosphere where patrons could enjoy delicious meals at reasonable prices.
Had a chance to visit their store again for breakfast. I miss my favourite Chori Burger, taste stills the same. I like their chocolate cake recommended by my girlfriend. Service was fast and price was affordable enough for me.
Just C — Google review
I have been to Orange Brutus twice before, but my experience was not good. The service was bad and the price was expensive for its portion. My friends convinced me again to try. I ordered the sizzling burger steak. It's good and the price is okay although sizzling is not my favorite. I just ordered it because it was highly recommended. Thus, my opinion on Orange Brutus has changed a bit, for the better.
Matt G — Google review
Dodn't expect to find a gold while visiting this local fastfood chain in Cebu. Affordable and good choices. Had the spicy sizzling burger steak and vegetable lumpia and it was good. Will definitely come again!
Karl R — Google review
Smoothie was okay nothing special just average! Small portion a bit pricey for what you get. A bit sugary. Didn’t try the food so I can’t tell if it’s good.
T B — Google review
I had a really disappointing experience here. I really like this place and the food is fantastic, but the service is just bad. The cashier didn’t get my order right, and it left me pretty disappointed. I wish the staff paid more attention because the food deserves better service.
John P — Google review
I was sent back to my high school days when my dad used to drive me and my best friend to have a burger at Orange Brutus some 40 years ago. The burger now seems smaller, but I can still taste the old flavours. Of course, I washed down my meal with a cup of refreshing, brain freezing mango shake.
Michelle O — Google review
No doubt I like their sizzling burger steak but the place smells. Like it’s a dirty moist old kitchen cockroach smell. Specially if you go to the counter because the kitchen is right there. Bearable if you want to eat their food. I would eat far from the counter so I cannot smell it.
Nicole P — Google review
I liked the chori with rice. The only downside is there was no hot sauce.

Coffee shop
Treat Street Cafe, located in Ayala Center Cebu and recently opened in Ayala Central Bloc, IT Park, is a must-visit for those looking for delectable cakes and pies. The Honey Toffee Crunch cake, created by Trina Kokseng, features a perfect balance of buttery cake, light cream, and honey toffee crunch. Their Avocado Pie is also highly recommended.
Perfect spot to unwind after shopping at Rustan's. Treat Street has a wide variety of cakes to cater to varying cake tastes among customers. My personal favorite is the chocolate walnut pie. ☺️
Tine E — Google review
One of the best coffee spots we’ve tried! I went for the cortado this time—so good. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this is the place to be. They’ve got a ton of options—cakes, tarts, and more! Only thing is, I hope their service gets better. The crew didn’t seem too happy that day—almost everyone looked like they were in a bad mood (lol, not sure why). It kinda affected the overall vibe, which was a bit of a downer.
Errol — Google review
I love their avocado pie it tastes good, not so sweet. I would recommend it for those who are not into super sweets. But not to worry they have a brownie pie which is for those with a sweet tooth. Also the coffee is good. You can choose from hot, cold or frappe.
Carlou U — Google review
Their pecan pie is to die for! perfect match with their cappuccino. must try for coffee and sweet tooth lovers!
Henry O — Google review
Great place for a dessert craver. Variety of layer cakes and tarts. Tried their rustic apple tart and chocolate walnut tart. Rustic apple tart was quite soggy despite tones of thinly sliced cinnamon apple. Chocolate walnut tart was only on a sweet side but not much chocolate flavour. Nutty toppings but too syrupy. Matcha latte was okay, good they accepted oat milk as base. Overall, it was okay.
Christy C — Google review
Go to this cafe, first and foremost, for their cakes and pies because it's genuinely so good, especially their Avocado Cream Pie which is one of a kind and Basque Burnt Cheesecake which is the best I've tried in Cebu. They also have good coffee. They usually use Toby's Estate beans. And they have decaf and dairy free options too. Another reason to go here is because they have outlets by the bar, so it's a good place to work solo, to get in the zone. They don't have a closed location though, they're right outside Rustans and a lot of shoppers would pass by, but I hardly mind this personally because this area has less traffic than, say, Active Zone. And anyway it's decently priced.
Des S — Google review
This coffee place is located just outside Rustans depart store entrance on 2nd level. Probably seating for 50 people with about a dozen tables and a kitchen type counter with stalls. They don’t offer WiFi connection. The Cappuccino was quickly made and very nicely presented. Excellent tasting coffee, but could have done with being hotter. Served in a cup and saucer, so expensive for the size.

Cebu Cardinal Bakeshop is a family-run bakery in Cebu known for its delectable cheese rolls, which are a must-try snack or breakfast filler. The bakeshop also offers unique slices of bread, pastries, cakes, and sweet delicacies that have been locally acclaimed as the best in Cebu. Their freshly baked goods guarantee top quality and flavor.
This review is for the ube cheese bread I bought over the counter during the food fair at the Ayala mall. Best I have tasted. I could taste the ube and cheese till my last bite unlike other versions where the fillings weren’t enough. Service and atmosphere scores were low as I was at their stall only. Staff at the counter were friendly and quick.
Pam B — Google review
Deletable sweets, breads, cookies and cakes at fair enough prices. They can be accessed through online delivery app like GrabFood.
Miriam O — Google review
very affordable and quality was not compromised. Must try their custard cake, yema cake, ube cake, cheese roll and ensaymada

They are considered to have one of the beat cakes and bread in town. For now due to covid-19, the customers arw not allowed to get inside the store. They have a table at the door where you can place and pick up your order, which ia goos to make sure that the food is safe and customers are maintaining social distancing.

Nestled inside the vicinity of The Space lie Cardinal — a small, simple bakery that fills their baskets with delicious pastel breads. These pastel breads taste so good its like those delectable delicacies you can only find in CDO and Camiguin. At each bite of these delicious pastels will delight your mouth with its softness complemented by the sweet pastel stored inside the bread which will burst with utmost ecstasy unto your mouth.
Kleinberg T — Google review
You must try there ube and cheese encymada. They also have yummy cakes.

They have the softest and creamiest ensaymada. Too bad their prices have gone way up high. But the quality remains the same. I still remember the good old days when their yema cake was only 350 a piece. And then the pandemic happened.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful chocolate experience, look no further than Chocolate Cakes by Nicole. Celebrated for their award-winning Signature Chocolate Cake, this gem from Cebu is a masterclass in chocolate baking. The cake strikes an impeccable balance between sweetness and richness, making it irresistible and perfect for those who appreciate nuanced flavors.
Celebrated my surprise birthday yesterday at the office. I heard the cake was bought from this store and found the cake very cute. Besides of its very elegant appearance, the taste was even better. It's not too sweet - for me who likely to get sore throat of too much sweets, I was able to enjoy more slices of the cake than I usually do - unlike most cakes I've tried.
Gina E — Google review
I like the different textures I got in just one cake. Fluffy and moist, and the combination of custard and chocolate is just the right mix. They are also affordable.
Matt G — Google review
This is a go-to place for cakes. I love their cake flavors and those cakes in a can are marvelous gifts to friends and loved ones. If you are a sweet tooth then you should put this place as one of your places to try in Cebu.

Bought at Ayala Cebu. Their stall is nearby CoCo Fresh and Leylam. Upper Ground floor. I've heard a lot of good things bout this cake in cans for a long time. This is the first time I got the chance and remembered to buy one. Costs Php 530. It's a layered Chocolate cake and fudge or choco cream. Tha great thing about this is it's not too sweet. It's a good dark choco mix flavor. 💯 recommend if you haven't tried. Accepts cash and Gcash
Freya J — Google review
The cakes were too good to be true! Kidding aside, but yeah it’s because, it’s too delicious and it really encourages me to eat more! It was so soft and I could really taste every part of it as it melts on my mouth. I am definitely recommending this to everyone!
MIRAH T — Google review
I've always been particular with cake frostings because most brands (even the famous and leading ones) are too runny, there's just something about some frostings that smells awful. With CCBN, walang tapon kasi very solid and textured ng frosting. You could eat every bit of it plus the cake pa mismo inside. I can't eat something that's too sweet that's why this cake brand will be my new-found fave since it is the perfect amount of sweetness and decadence.
DIVINE C — Google review
The shop is right across Coco Fresh Tea next to the escalator. Ordered "The Bomb" chocolate tin cake and wasn't disappointed. It's my first time trying this kind of cake and I love how it's not too sweet. I was also able to bring it in my carry-on and was still intact when I arrived at my destination.

I ordered a customized cake for a friend’s birthday party. I requested for the cake to be delivered around 6pm at our venue in Lahug but since the party was on a Sunday, they informed me that they only had halfdays on Sunday and asked if they can deliver the cake at 2pm instead. I agreed to this but since the time was a bit early, I opted to have the cake delivered to my house instead (Talisay). I made a full payment of the cake upon order. The following day, I messaged them again asking to change the delivery address since I had a friend that was living nearby their shop in Lahug (walking distance). They replied with “noted” and that was the last conversation I had with them. Take note, I made the order Monday, requested to change the address on Tuesday and the order was for Sunday. When Sunday arrived at around 9 in the morning, I received a call from the delivery driver that they are on their way to deliver the cake to Talisay. I was confused and told the driver that I had requested to change the address days ago and that Chedz noted this change. The driver then told me that they had already left the shop and they are already making deliveries in Bulacao. They also said that they cannot return the cake to the shop since it was already closed for the day. I asked the driver how much the delivery fee would be if we had it delivered to Talisay and he said 450. The whole reason I asked to update the delivery address to my friend’s place in Lahug was to avoid paying a very high delivery fee. I asked to call the driver back so I can reach out to Chedz via messenger. I asked for a clarification as to why my delivery address was not updated and if they could call the driver. They replied a few minutes afterwards just telling me that they already called the driver and told him to deliver the cake to my friend’s place in Lahug. No “I’m so sorry” or “I apologize for the oversight”. So around 11am, the driver called again informing me that he was already at my friend’s address in Lahug and that my friend would not answer his calls. I suspected that my friend was still asleep because the time I told him that the cake would be delivered would be 2pm. Thankfully, my friend was able to wake up after I called him several times. He then proceeded to pick up the cake in which the driver asked for 200 pesos for the delivery fee. My friend did not argue and just paid the driver right away. I did, however, message Chedz again just asking as to how the delivery fee was being computed. Given that from their shop, my friend’s place was just at the next corner, I did not think that paying 200 was justifiable. I only received a reply from Chedz the following day and they explained that the 200 delivery fee was because the driver waited for a long time because my friend was still asleep. ???? I don’t get the logic behind that reasoning when our agreement for the delivery was 2PM. In the afternoon. A time that they had suggested. My friend had his alarm set to 12noon so he would be awake by 2PM. Yet, they are making it seem like they were the ones inconvenienced because my friend was not able to get the cake right away. Albeit that, I will commend that the actual cake really matched the inspiration that I sent them. I will give credit to where credit is due. However, the customer service is very disappointing. No sympathy, no accountability. I had very high hopes with Chedz knowing that they have been around for a very long time and how they are already very known in Cebu but after reading similar comments about their questionable customer service that go back to a few years ago, I just know that this feedback will fall on deaf ears. So even if the output turned out to be fine, their customer service is more trouble than it’s worth.

Our source of birthday cakes for our daughter since 1998 when they were still inside the Ayala Center Cebu! Although this is their 3rd move (I believe) they are still producing great looking and of course great tasting cakes for all occasions! Crafted skillfully and lovingly.
Jerico S — Google review
We picked this cake bakery for our secret pregnancy announcement since it has great reviews here. The cake was done as we wanted it to be. However, there was an issue with the service. First, the cake was delivered to a wrong address initially, even though we have told them twice on where is the exact address to deliver it. Second, the delivery employee completely disregarded our specific instruction NOT to disclose the "secret" announcement to the receiver. The receiver ended up finding out what was being delivered before it was even delivered. And finally, the cake was concealed in a box with transparent plastic on top, completely revealing what is inside the box, which defeats the purpose of our surprise after all.

Very disappointing service! My husband and I held a surprise pregnancy announcement for my relatives but their incompetent employees blew up the surprise even before the cake was delivered. It’s my parents’ first grandchild so we waited for four months before announcing my pregnancy since we want to make this moment special and memorable but what they did was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. 1. Failed to take note of important details. According to their social media account manager, “someone” called their bakeshop to change the delivery location, so she then changed the address on file without confirming it first to me, who made the transaction. On the day of the event, it was delivered to a wrong address, which then caused so much inconvenience. 2. No adherence to confidentiality. Since they already messed up with the delivery location, they called the receiver. Concerned that Chedz Cake of Cebu might deliver it again to a wrong address, the receiver asked what was being delivered. The employee then responded, “It is a pregnancy announcement cake” then stated our last name & the due date. In other words, she just blew up the surprise. I couldn’t specify more that it’s a “surprise” announcement on their Facebook page. 3. Inability to comply with the standards. Evidently, the cake was for a “surprise” pregnancy announcement, but how come they weren’t able to realize that packing the cake in a transparent box wouldn’t make it a surprise? It only defeats the purpose! We are very disappointed with Chedz Cakes of Cebu but I hope that their management team will do a corrective action and use this instance to enhance their service. I understand employees make mistakes but I hope they’ll come up with a great solution next time, rather using excuses to cover up their mistakes.

Chedz cakes is the best in Cebu! First off, i'm not a fan cakes, but i order here when i have to. I went to one of my friend's birthday bringing their dark choco cake. Everyone loved it. I took a bite but everyone else craved for it. My cake gift was better than the birthday cake that time (from another brand). So now, everytime there's an occasion everyone's expecting me to bring a great cake. It's a lot of pressure for a guy who's not into cakes, so i trust this cake shop all the time to help me keep up with this pressure. I'm not sure if i should be thankful coz' I'm into this vicious cycle of gifting cakes due to Chedz but i'll still keep on ordering for my friends. Highly recommended especially if you are in the same situation as me.

I particularly like the chocolate cake, cupcakes. I haven't tasted any from other bakeshops here in Cebu that could tap theirs. In Cebu , I only like 2 fruitcakes from Marisse Patisserie and from Chedz.

This shop botched my wedding cake many moons ago. I even wrote a note of me being tagged as a "Goldilocks Bride" because I had to buy an emergency cake from Goldilocks because this mighty cake shop did not deliver to their promise. Such a disgrace they're still in business.

Heavenly Goodies is a Cake shop that creates custom cakes with different kinds of flavors and designs for any kind of celebration. They are reliable, dependable, and have great taste! I highly recommend their cake to anyone looking for something special.
Cute and quaint shop with, the name says it, heavenly goodies inside. Enjoyed a cup of black coffee complemented with chocolate truffles. Really good! The truffles were not sugary but chocolatey sweet. Would like to try more of their cakes and pastries! The staff was really kind and answered all my questions. They have a roof top but the slope and steps going up are pretty steep, so you need to be careful.

We've ordered from here via food delivery apps before but it was our first time dining in last Saturday (June 25, 2022). We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Aside from pastries, they have a wide selection of meals--pasta, sandwiches, all day breakfast, you name it. The dining place is small but it's very cozy, especially at night when the twinkling lights are turned on. The staff is also polite and friendly. While we were there, some kids approached us asking for money (we were outside), and the staff were kind to them--steering them back to their homes (which was within the vicinity). Their macarons are also divine and way more reasonably priced than other pastry shops. You should try it out here! It's quite hidden from the main roads but that just adds to its charm. Will definitely come back.

why google doesn’t have less than 1 star?? i order Heavenly mudcake and writing ‘ HBD Beloved christine’ on the cake and here what i got. I set the time to received cake at 12:30 but at that time they didn’t find the rider yet. i need to wait extra half hour and the baker never take the responsibility to it. They said they provide a knife and spoon but nothing inside the box and they sent it after an hour which is useless. The cake is below standard. just a cheap ingredients, bad decoration and extremely sweet. DO NOT RECOMMEND, this shop should be close unless u have no ability to service or do your job as good as it could.

The first time I went here it was good, but the second time it was terrible. They stopped honoring the discounts they gave the first time without any notice. The servings are really small too, but with the discount it was a nice value. At full price you are better off going somewhere else. To reply to your response... it's a lie because there were other customers in the store picking up their orders. I told you I was going to give you a bad review because you didn't want to honor a 75 peso discount. Then you lie about the reason. So terrible. I stand by my review.. terrible place and management.

Cuenco Ave, Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines, this bakeshop is known for its delicious and affordable creations. Customers rave about the Super Mario Cake that brings joy to both kids and adults alike.
Cakes and Memories never fail to impress! This is already my third time ordering from them, and each experience has been consistently excellent. They always manage to create cakes exactly according to my instructions, and the results are even more beautiful than I imagine. The seller is very responsive and accommodating, making the whole ordering process so easy and stress-free. Plus, their cakes are not only stunning but also very affordable compared to other customized cake options out there. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality and gorgeous cakes! 💯❤️

They made my experience in ordering cakes so superb that I had decided to buy all future custom cakes that I want to be made from them. They were so accommodating and they responded on time. Ordering the cake was a breeze and the best part? The cake was well made. The cake was made for a surprise birthday party for my colleague. Even though the cake was opened a day after it was delivered, it never melted and the cake was exactly how it looked like on the picture from their website! Not only was the design great and the quality of their icing amazing, but the cake was very moist and had a yummy caramel filling. Overall, this was such a positive experience and I will be sure to recommend this store to all my friends and relatives. PS. Sorry about the picture, this was taken after the surprise and my colleague accidentally touched it so the design was damaged.

This is by far the best bake shop to buy Birthday cakes not only because the cakes are always soooo beautiful but also it’s the most trustworthy shop that would guarantee a perfect birthday cake for a perfect birthday party! I’ve lived in Cebu more than two years now and I’ve experienced a lot of disappointment as often my plans got destroyed when it comes to many not responsible service here. But this shop really surprises me of how much effort and care and being so responsible for the cakes. They make sure everything is followed by the customer’s instructions. Furthermore, this is the only shop that has a proper website for ordering cakes online, very convenient and foreigner-friendly, with hundreds of choices by a good search system. I just love it! ❤️

Great service and their cake was great too! They were very accommodating and were able to finish my last-minute order. The 10"x4" photo cake didn't just look great, but was also quite tasty. Sweet but not too sweet and it had just the right amount of moistness in it. I'm glad I found them on Facebook. I also love their online ordering app. So easy and convenient. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

One of the best cakes in Cebu! This has always been our go-to cake for every event. Their vanilla cupcakes are definitely my favorite — they’re not your ordinary cupcakes. So good! The cake was gone in no time because all the guests loved it and devoured every bite. I didn’t even get a chance to take photos of the cupcakes — that’s how fast they disappeared!

I was looking for a place who can customize a cake for me that I can pick up same day, everyone I know turned down my request but Cake and Memories Bakeshop accommodated me, Thank you so much! Since i ordered it last minute I just asked them to make the cake and I'll take care of the topper, still, they added a topper (dino egg). The choco moist cake was so delicious, I love the icing and the caramel filling was a perfect match to the choco moist cake. I will surely recommend your store to my friends and will order again for our next occasions. Many thanks Cakes and Memories you didn't just save my day you saved the occasion!

Dessert Factory is a restaurant that specializes in chocolate cakes. It is popular for its Achocolypse cake, which is guaranteed to be delicious. The breakfast dishes are also affordable and very good.
My absolute favorite restaurant, which has several branches in Cebu. Everything is just right for me here... Friendly staff, the quality and the price of the food. Everything is kept clean and in order here. Whether it's cold or warm food, everything tastes delicious and at a fair price.
REAS G — Google review
Our go to dinner spot after work. Big portions! My personal faves are their Chicken Parmigiana, Pork Belly and Sizzling Bulalo Steak. And oh, their The Factory Salad’s decent and affordably priced at 149 - good for 1 person.
Denice E — Google review
We visited The Dessert Factory and had a really good dining experience! Although they are mostly known for cakes and sweets, we decided to try something different and ordered their salad — and it turned out to be really good. It was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. You can tell the ingredients were prepared well. The service was also good. The staff were polite, attentive, and quick to assist us. They served the food on time and made sure we had everything we needed during our meal. It felt comfortable to dine there because they were welcoming, but not too intrusive. The restaurant itself has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The interiors are bright and clean, and the place is perfect for chill hangouts or casual dates. Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying their famous desserts — and they definitely live up to the hype! Their cakes are soft, rich, and not too sweet — just right. Whether you’re craving sweets or looking for a light meal, The Dessert Factory is a solid choice. Great food, great service, and a relaxing vibe. Will definitely come back to try more from their menu!
Angel O — Google review
Stopped by for dessert and found it just okay—nothing really stood out. The place is cozy, and the staff was friendly, but overall, it felt average.
Gem E — Google review
The Dessert Factory name is misleading. They have quite a lot more on their menu than just desserts. Good thing I paid attention to the advertisements posted on the windows. I decided to give this place a try and am glad I did. It was morning so I chose the pork tocino plate from the regular menu. The plate comes with a good amount of pork tocino, an egg cooked sunny-side up on top of some rice, and sautéed vegetables. It was very tasty and satisfying. Breakfast is served all-day. There is also a budget-friendly menu called affordables. Give the Dessert Factory a try, I think you will like it.

These are the Chocolate Fudge and Banana Foster Ice cream cakes. I believe they've experienced a bit of shrinkflation but I could be wrong. Still a good dessert to have for those who have yet to try

Good chili con carne, good sweet and sour fish, good pork belly. Chill and quiet, not too many people and not too noisy around 18:00
AntonKZ — Google review
Been going to this place since 2003. Even had my eldest birthday in their Archbishop branch. It is sad to see how the food quality has devolved. Today's service was a far cry to what it used to be. They served their belly which was soaked with the soy sauce all over the plate, showing the lack of care by their servers. I did not bother ordering their kinamatisan kawali which used to be my favorite dish here after multiple disappoints the previous times. The burger remains good despite, though they replaced the fries with 2 very salt onion rings.

Bread Talk is a bakery that offers delectable, oven-fresh loaves of bread. The only drawback is that customers must be aware of the exact time their desired bread will be ready because it tends to sell out within minutes. This establishment attracts a large number of tourists, so arriving early and exercising patience are essential. Despite being slightly pricey, the bread at Bread Talk is truly worth its cost. Each loaf is bursting with delicious flavors and has a pleasantly chewy texture.

I really love this baker. It´s the best you can find in Manila. Enjoy the great taste of european bisquits! The stuff is very friendly, the place is clean and nice. You can watch people walking in the mall when you drink your coffee there.

Not just baked goods… We had a nice lite lunch and everything was good. Some things were out of stock, probably because of the Christmas rush. Very good lemonade and club sandwich with fresh made potato chips. Also had a salad. Quiet and good food.

Sunday and it felt like a perfect stop to have a Tuna Turnover, a Pesto bread and Cappuccino after browsing through the mall. As the lady behind the counter reached for the Tuna turnover to reheat it, I saw small roaches escaping from its tray. I squirmed for a moment. There are only a few tables occupied while other restaurants in the mall were almost full. I figured that the customers were mostly elderly. The servers were very nice. The cappuccino and turnover were good actually, but I cannot unsee those roaches at the display counter. Anyway, I'd probably come back for their meals to try.

Chicken ala King from my foodie (memory bank) brain it tastes different; I can sense MSG on it and less creamy. Danish - still yummy 😋🤤 Pastries here are good compared to the local (ABC). Forrest Berries (iced) tea is refreshing! Staff are accomodating! I missed their Iced Mocha 😕 No longer available! Few years back that I ate here, the price has gone up it's like you're in a restaurant. NO Qr PH scanner 😄 This place has been there for ages so the ambiance isn't that great anymore.

The food and bread were always delicious, but the staff are not that attentive and at times, they choose people to serve. Felt some discrimination but we choose to understand them since it seemed that like they lacked manpower thus service is not great unlike before pandemic. If not for the food, we won't dine here.

I'm French so bakery is in my culture 😋 I will only talk about the bakery part not about the restaurant part. I took a blueberries viennoiserie and it's worthy of a mid-range bakery in France. Which means that for a bakery abroad, it's really excellent, it will be difficult to find better. I also took a hot chocolate it was very excellent too. The room is clean and welcoming the prices are correct although I find them a bit expensive (for the country)but I'm stingy 😅. The blueberries viennoiserie was around 120 pesos and the hot chocolate in a pot cost 215 pesos. I'll come back to test another bakery and viennoiserie

We buy bread and pastries at the adjacent bakery almost everytime we visit SMCity mall. After gym, my brothers and I wanted to try this place, not our first choice, but was conveniently along the way to KFC, and we wanted to buy chicken for the house. This place has a wide variety of dishes on their menu, from Filipino to Italian and not necessarily French. Other than the four of us, there were probably 2 or 3 other occupied tables, so it was not busy at 5:40PM. I wanted soup in a bread bowl, but was told it takes 15 minutes for that order. Two of my brothers ordered pasta carbonara and one had spaghetti. I ordered Lasagna. My three brothers finished their meal and I still did not get my lasagna. We waited 5 minutes more and finally I summoned the server and asked for my lasgna, further telling her I’ll take my order to go. When it finally came, I asked her why it took so long, and she said “we still have to bake it.” I asked her she should have told me about the wait, just like she did with the soup, so I could have ordered something else! Service is bad here. There were 4 people behind the counter and they literally ignored us after my brothers’ food were served. I ate the lasagna when I got home. It wasn’t really worth the wait. The frozen lasagna from stouffers which you can buy at Walmart is Chicago is way more delicious. I don’t think I’ll dine here again..

If you're searching for a sanctuary near perfection, Marisse Patisserie is the ideal destination. This charming patisserie offers an inviting atmosphere where visitors can truly savor delectable homemade pastries and breads. Nestled discreetly in the city, it exudes a wonderful ambiance. Those with a penchant for sweets will undoubtedly relish their assortment of cakes and brownies which are not only visually appealing but also scrumptious.
Of course! Here's the revised review with your note about the staff included: --- **Marisse Patisserie – Busay** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Tucked in the cool, misty hills of Busay, Marisse Patisserie is the perfect place to cozy up with something sweet—especially on a rainy afternoon. After coming from Brickwood, we decided to stop by for dessert, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. As someone who’s very mindful of what I eat (and always counting calories), I tried my best not to give in—but this place is an irresistible guilty pleasure. We tried their cakes and croissants, and every bite was absolutely worth it. The cakes had a genuine, homemade quality, and the croissants were flaky, buttery, and baked to perfection. No regrets at all. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, helpful, and never pushy. They genuinely listened to what we liked, offered thoughtful suggestions, and recommended some of the best items on the menu. Their relaxed and friendly approach made us feel completely at ease. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the ambiance is charming—quiet, inviting, and ideal for relaxing while watching the rain outside. Final thoughts: Whether you're coming from a meal at Brickwood or just passing through Busay, Marisse Patisserie is a delightful stop. Delicious desserts, a cozy atmosphere, and genuinely kind staff and NOT A CROWDED PLACE make it a place I’d gladly visit again. Just be ready to indulge a little—you won’t regret it.

It is a family-owned business started by Froilan and Julieta Celeste, who wanted to spend more time with their children. The shop offers a variety of treats such as torta, cassava cake, brownies, and butterscotch bars to cater to the pasalubong market.
Tried one of their cakes through a friend and we got interested right away! The place is good, the price is even better but i should say the staff makes it one of the best place to have some dessert and coffee anytime of the day! Very clean. Their 20+ years in Ormoc, Leyte (and still going strong) says so much of their history of baking cakes and pastries that truly satisfy the taste buds of the most discriminating people.

Yoyi’s never fails to satisfy my sweet tooth! Their cheesecake is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced sweetness and creamy. The brazo de mercedes is another favorite of mine, light, delicious, and always consistent. Prices are pang masa too, very affordable. They never disappoint. Highly recommend trying their cheesecake for yourself, it’s definitely worth it!

A comely pastry shop that sells fine selection of cakes, brownies, and other delectable pastries nestled somewhere in the heart of uptown Cebu. I tried their best-seller, a chocolate cake, and it tastes great. It's not too sweet and it looks presentable. The slice of the cake is also alright, not so big for you to "sawa" and not too small for you to say "kulang." Aside from the chocolate cake you may also have a slice of a velvet cake, cheesecake, ube halaya cake, and their specialty - the mango cake. They sell delicious brownies like revel bars, cassava, and rocky road. A selection of other pastries are also worth noting such as their choco crinkles which literally melts in your mouth in every bite, and the delicious and crunchy egg tart.

Loved the cozy vibe and the super friendly staff at Corner Bakery. I felt really taken care of. But heads up: it’s a bit pricey for the portion size. Tasty, just wish there was more on the plate!

This is a nice, comfortable little place to sit down and have breakfast. No elaborate breakfast here. Just simple little Cafe breakfasts. Dine in or take out your choice.

I love it! 💖 The food was great. The people were welcoming and very accommodating! Their utensils are environment friendly. Would come back for their signature latte and beef salpicao 😍

The place is nice, clean and friendly. It's away from the crowded mall atmosphere. On the food that my wife and I have tasted there, they all stood out as way better than the ones we've tasted in other restaurants local and international. Their lasagna, spicy wings, salmon pizza and tiramisu are all very delicious. I'd definitely recommend this Corner Bakery to my friends and family.

Passed the place several times when visiting TDG (the Daily Grind), and I’ve heard and seen reviews about their dishes. AND if similarly you do hear people say they serve good food, believe them! Left the place satisfied. We ordered Squid Ink Aligue Pasta served with toasted baguette, Hot Chili Wings, and Lychee Blossom as drinks. Unique store design, aesthetic, and IG worthy! Just that I wished they offer bigger sizes for the drinks 😋

Abaca Baking Company is located in the Ayala Terraces, Cebu. It's a popular spot known for its outstanding service and delicious international cuisine made with the finest local and imported ingredients. The restaurant boasts a thoughtful, intimate, contemporary Filipino style with Spanish influences, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. Patrons often praise its quirky and artsy ambiance, featuring wall paintings that add to the cozy feel of the place.
I would jump on a plane from the UK to Cebu just for this coffee! WOW We loved the atmosphere of the coffee shop, the coffee menu is amazing, and my favourite combination is the coconut iced late. They offer lovely meals with a fare price to portion size ratio. They have attentive staff and friendly staff. We enjoy their banana loaf/cake the most, it is our all time favourite and nobody makes it as tasty as they do. Recommended! GO!

Some time ago, my wife would occasionally go to Cebu for work purposes, and she started bringing home pastries from this place. So far, Abaca has offered the closest to European-style pastries I have had the pleasure to eat. On 8 April, 2025, I finally had the privilege of setting foot in their restaurant, and the overall experience was nothing short of stellar. For entrees, they offer a variety of dishes but manage to keep the menu from being overwhelmingly large. The fish of their fish and chips has a lovely thick, crunch, but light batter. The chips, while not true English-style chips, is severely tasteful and well-seasoned. The only minor downside to the dish is that vinegar isn't included with it - such as malt or brown vinegar - that would really tie the meal together, and keep it traditionally English. Despite having read the description, the breakfast quesadilla was not what I expected, but for all the right reasons. While having plenty of cheese to honor its namesake, the inclusion of egg and breakfast sausage was divine. The guacamole served it was just phenomenal. Lastly, our daughter opted for the kimchi fried rice with Spam/luncheon meat. I'm honestly not sure if the meat was canned or made in-house but it simply hit different. The fried rice itself bore a lovely kimchi without it being overpowering. Really well balanced. The food will definitely come across as pricey, but I guarantee each bite is worth it. Lastly, about the service provided. Unfortunately, I was unable to get their names, but they were prompt, polite, and showed initiative. By my wife's experience, their service has remained consistently fantastic. My only wish is that they would open a branch in Davao. Life would be good then.

Review: I really love bread and often visit bakeries, but croissants are my absolute favorite. When you search for the best croissants in Cebu, this café always comes up. I usually go to their branch in IT Park, but this time I visited their shop on the 2nd floor of Ayala Mall for the first time. The atmosphere was very pleasant — quiet, with people working on their laptops or simply enjoying coffee. Since the café is connected to the department store, there’s a steady flow of people, but it still feels cozy. The staff welcomed me warmly with a smile and were very accommodating even with several orders. This time, instead of bread, I tried one of their desserts, and I highly recommend the Basque cheesecake. Of course, their croissants are also delicious, and the coffee is very good too. Prices are a bit higher compared to other places, but the quality of the coffee makes it worth it. They also seem to have a wide range of meal options, so it could be a nice spot for lunch as well. I’ll definitely come back again!

Great food, coffee, tea & pastries all the time! Abacookie is my all time favorite & the half chicken! As of March 2025 As I was enjoing my coffee in another shop, I have decided to just share the feedback I had been holding for days now. I’m writing to express our deep disappointment with the way we’ve been treated at abaca ayala, over the past few days. As long-time loyal customers—visiting this branch in Ayala almost daily and frequenting Abaca Seaside or Paseo on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends—we never expected to be made to feel unwelcome at a place we’ve supported for years. Lately, our visits have been awkward, with staff seemingly trying to keep us from sitting in our usual outdoor spot, where we have always preferred to stay. Initially, we were asked to move to another table, which was just beside our usual one, with vague and inconsistent reasons such as: 1. Staffing issues – We were told no one could attend to that area, yet our table is actually closer to the door than the one they wanted us to move to. 2. Dust concerns – The claim that our table is dusty due to nearby construction, while the adjacent table was supposedly dust-free, seemed absurd. 3. Better service – We even tried offering solutions, like having a self-service system where customers could pay and order at the counter, but no one seemed interested in listening. Instead, we kept hearing, “Because the management said so. There is nothing we can do.” We attempted to address this with Jody, Solamit, and Matthew, but unfortunately, our concerns were ignored. What’s even more disheartening is the way we were treated last week—being booted out like criminals or beggars from a coffee shop we have supported for years. A server named Mike approached & requested us to transfer saying “mo inform lang mi nimo sir na gipalagpas lang mo namo the past few days but dili na gyud pwede palingkoran diri na table” The experience was not only upsetting but also embarrassing. We’ve always admired Abaca for the quality of its food, pastries and coffee—hands down, some of the best! But at the end of the day, no level of quality can make up for a lack of respect for loyal customers. It’s disappointing to realize that customer service, loyalty, and valuing people don’t seem to be a priority in your mission or core values. Needless to say, I have changed my high rating to thw lowest possible as our experience no longer reflects the quality & service we once appreciated. i truly hope that mgmt re-evaluates how it treats its long-time customers as no business thrives by driving away the very people who have supported it for years!

Food: it was perfect. I've been craving smoked salmon on a bagel. Craving satisfied. Service: There is still room for improvement. They are quick to cater to their customers, but in doing so, the floor is too busy of them walking around. Atmosphere: The place is superb. The view outside is pretty. I guess it's the noise surrounding the restaurant. It can't be helped.

I don’t mean to come off as rude, but the garlic bun with cream cheese, the simple cheese sandwich and cheese fries were three disappointing choices out of the four items I ordered for breakfast. I ended up spending over ₱500 for not much. I do not believe this is their best effort. Maybe the cheaper items aren’t their specialty or perhaps my new haircut intimidated them. I’d like to try the pasta or something different next time so I can give a more balanced review. On a positive note, the coffee was good—it was an Americano. However, I wasn’t offered cream or sugar. I usually drink it black, but at ₱130, it would’ve been nice to have those options available.

Such a nice little café with yummy food at fair prices, well not exactly cheap, but definitely worth it! I highly recommend all the dishes we ordered. My niece was so happy! We left with full tummies and all smiles. 💛 Thanks!

From ordering via messenger to the delivery at home, the whole process was hassle free and smooth. The online representative was very polite and friendly when I asked if they could deliver early morning and if they had my desired cake available, they replied fast and answered my multiple questions. The cake itself was so beautiful and delicious (ordered a blueberry cheesecake thats 7 inches) and I love how the dedication was on the base of the cake so I could add a lengthy description. The cafe also sells cake toppers and comes with a complimentary plastic knife with a compartment for free matchsticks which is so cute and convenient! The cake was delivered via lalamove and the cafe was the one to book the rider. When it arrived it was in perfect condition. Overall my experience with the store is 10/10 as a first time buyer from their cafe and online. Thank you once again Cafe Elim ☺️✨🎂 Will order again next time.

Food is cute, and not too bad. Their sandwiches are SO sweet 🥲 (I guess thats a korean thing), their drinks are really sweet so request for lesser sugar. Their squid ink pasta is really tasty but v garlic-y so beware of pungent smell of breathe after eating haha. I love their pizza though, its the one to look out for! Bc its made from pastry dough! So its flaky and pairs v well with the toppings. Place is aesthetically pleasing. With lots of areas to take pictures with. It also has a 2nd flr and alfresco seating. Overall a good experience :)

✅ cash ✅ debit/credit ✅ parking space ✅ clean and wide space area Food servings are reasonably worth the price. I ordered carbonara; it was kind of too salty for me, but it still tastes good. Minced meat, it’s like a breaded burger patty, good also, but meat kind of leaves an aftertaste. I guess the meat wasn’t seasoned well enough to eliminate the smell of meat. Strawberry lovers would definitely love strawberry fresh cream cake; it has fruit slices and also tastes good..

Aesthetic and decent place if you're into chic korean vibes. Coffee was good. Ordered their carbonara and it was okay, bread could have been improved tho. Didn't like the french macaroons but I think it was okay. Their WC is commendable it was actually very clean. Will 5 star the place because it was the only cafe that was not crowded on a sunday.

Karaoke bar
Recently, I had the pleasure of celebrating a friend's birthday at Mic Check in Escario, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! This vibrant karaoke venue offers a fantastic atmosphere for belting out your favorite songs. The snacks were delightful—especially the crispy potato chips that paired perfectly with our singing sessions. Mic Check is still in its soft opening phase, which means some menu items may be sold out occasionally; however, the cleanliness and sanitation of their rooms are commendable.
We recently celebrated my friend's birthday at Mic Check (Escario), and it was a blast! From delicious snacks to affordable rates and attentive staff, the place had everything we needed for a perfect night of belting out our favorite tunes. We loved the potato crisp – it was crispy, flavorful and the perfect accompaniment to our singing marathons. The hourly room rates were very reasonable compared to other karaoke places we've been to. This made it easy to sing our hearts out without worrying about breaking the bank. The staff gently reminded us of our remaining time in the room, ensuring we got the most out of our karaoke session without any last-minute surprises. The waiting area outside provided a cool spot to relax and chat between songs. We appreciated the clear rules posted in each room. It kept things organized and ensured everyone had a respectful and enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a fun and affordable place to belt out your favorite tunes with friends, Mic Check is definitely worth checking out. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back for more!

The atmosphere is entertaining. We had fun. The staffs are accommodating. The consumables are not enough to get our stomach satisfied, foods are tasty but not worth the price, it aint sufficient for two or more. We ordered more but forgot to take some pics. Overall, its all worth it in the end if you're with the right people.

Loved doing karaoke at this place. Very comprehensive song list and fairly easy to use remote. Airconned room with strobe lights. Special rates between 1am -7am so you can do karaoke all night till the sun rises. 🌞

Mic Check is the newest ktv place in Escario. They are still in their soft opening so it's understandable why some food are easily sold out. Nonetheless, rooms are cleaned and well sanitized, while customer service is good. Prices are reasonable for their simple menu. Best to be early as their rooms are quickly occupied. Well recommended place

Great staff! Music selection is also great because its updated. But the mic volume was low and some songs were not in sync or had voices playing together with the music. Overall had a good time!
Kenneth G — Google review
Great experience! Nice karaoke room, 2 mics per room, and songs are updated. And the greatest part, you can actually search for songs from your phone, just connect it to their smart songbook. Maybe the only complaint I had is that foods are too expensive.

Sans Rival has always been one of my favorite shops, and I regularly recommend it to my clients before any other. However, I was quite disappointed tonight. I bought three Sans Rival slices, but one of them was noticeably smaller than the others. I kindly asked the cashier for a replacement, but she gave me the same small piece again. I hope this feedback helps improve consistency and service, as I truly value and support your brand.

There's something wrong with this branch. I ordered the baby back ribs for P410 and after waiting for 30 mins, what I got is a microwaved piece of meat that smelled like cardboard. I took 2 bites and gave up. You have to train your staff. This is totally unacceptable for the price. Shame on this branch. We might go back for sans rival but we are never going back for their meals again.

I changed my review, because they added charging fee into bill We ordered Eggs Benedict, Sphagetti A La Puttanesca and Grilled Malasugi with Mango Salsa. Their Eggs Benedict is so so but I loved their fish and sphagetti. If you like dessert you can try their black sambo or white choco lava

When I eat here, I always leave room for dessert. They have a good selection of dishes and the last time I was there I had their Spanish Chorizo. The family enjoyed eating there. Lengua serving is quite small, but it is ok because it was delicious and had a good serving of salad. I found my order of Callos a little too gamey for me so I gave it to my husband. 10 Dove Street is a charming café and confectionery known for its delightful ambiance and delectable pastries. With multiple branches in Cebu City, it offers a cozy space to enjoy cakes, pastries, bread, sandwiches, and quality coffee. The outdoor area at the Oakridge Business Park branch provides ample greenery and space for kids and pets to play. Visitors can indulge in treats like the Tres de Leches cake while sipping on a variety of coffee options.
Imagine stepping into a charming gelato-restaurant type of place where the pastel color palette instantly soothes your senses. With comfortable seating options of cushioned chairs. The gelato counter is a highlight, showcasing a variety of flavors in a colorful display. The lighting is warm and inviting, with delicate pendant lights hanging from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the entire space. The menu reflects the light and fresh vibe of the place, featuring dishes that are both comforting and creative, dishes that highlight fresh ingredients and colorful presentations. I ordered the awesome burger, a dish that has quickly become a favorite of mine—beef patties served with rice and a rich, creamy sauce. The moment it arrived at my table, I knew I was in for a treat. I partnered it with iced tea. The beef patties were expertly flavored and cooked until juicy and tender. Every bite was filled with taste, a delicious mix of savory seasonings that complemented the rich beef perfectly. But the real star of the show was the creamy sauce. It was velvety smooth and had a subtle richness that didn’t overpower the dish but rather complemented it. The sauce had a perfect balance, with hints of garlic and herbs that added depth to the flavor profile. When drizzled over the patties and mixed with the fluffy rice, it created a mouthwatering combination that was both comforting and indulgent. We decided to indulge in the gelato after our meal, expecting it to be a special treat since it caught our eye at the store. Unfortunately, it turned out to be anything but special. Given the hefty price, I anticipated something exceptional, but after the first bite, I couldn't help but wonder where all that extra money had gone. The gelato was decent, but that’s the thing—it was just decent. It tasted like any ordinary gelato you could get for a much lower price. There was nothing unique or noteworthy about the flavor or texture to justify the cost. Sure, it was creamy and sweet, as ice cream should be, but it lacked any depth or richness that might have set it apart. There were no special ingredients, no complex flavors, nothing that made it stand out. Honestly, if someone had served it to me without the fancy label, I wouldn’t have thought twice—it was just your standard gelato.

We decided to dine at 10 Dove as a family of four, but unfortunately, we had a really disappointing experience. Our youngest child, who is very particular about food, brought his favorite Jollibee spaghetti with him. Instead of understanding the situation, the staff refused to let us dine in, which would have been fine if it had been handled politely. However, we were spoken to in an unnecessarily rude and condescending manner, making us feel unwelcome. As a family-friendly restaurant, we expected a little flexibility or at least some kindness. It's frustrating when a simple situation escalates because of poor customer service. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to families with young kids.

It was a pleasant, comfy, serene place for coffee and some cakes until it was about 8pm when it suddenly becomes nothing short of a market place as people come in droves and it transformed into a reunion place of sort. Satisfying their sweet tooth and taking advantage of the time to get together with friends amd families I think, complete with really excited kids! Over-all, would like to eat and drink here than in its next door neighbor.

If you want really good pastries and cakes this should be one of the places to visit. We tried their carrot cake and red velvet, both taste really good especially paired with their brewed coffee. The place seems to fit around 15-20 people only. Their service is good. Parking is a bit tight though for cars but spacious for motorcycles. I would recommend this place for people who wants to catch up with a couple of friends.

Got lost, confused and disappointed for almost half a century looking for the perfect place to wait for 3-4 hours while I do my research in Ayala Now I found the place and it’s near Ayala: Revie’s Patisserie has: 1. Charging outlets for laptops and cellphones that need charging 2. Accommodating staff that aren’t bone-tired and who look down on you 3. Not many people that I see there...which comforts my introverted and bashful nature

If you're on the hunt for a talented home baker who can deliver delightful signature cakes with a unique twist, look no further than The Skinny Baker Cafe. This charming spot specializes in three standout flavors: Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Moist Cake. Each cake can be beautifully customized to match your desired aesthetic. One of their must-try creations is the Matchamisu—a delightful take on the classic tiramisu that swaps out espresso for green tea-soaked ladyfingers.
This Matchamisu (Matcha Tiramisu) from The Skinny Baker is absolutely divine. Their version of this well-loved Italian dessert made with delicate ladyfinger cookies soaked in green tea instead of espresso, light and airy mascarpone cream and matcha powder is an elegant and rich layered deliciousness. It was simply irresistible because it bursts with premium matcha flavor. And of course, the Matcha Connoisseur in me revelled in the vibrant green color of their matcha latte, truly appreciating the creamy, slightly sweet and earthy notes of the drink apart from the artistry of the foam before taking a sip. The place spells comfortable seating, soft lighting and a seemingly homey decor creating a sense of intimacy and tranquillity. Went for a quick brunch. Order was taken by supervisor who quickly picked up on lactose intolerance for my companion and offered soy latte. Good service. Food seems to be priced a bit high but when served we saw that the servings were huge. Each dish could have fed 2 people. Burger was solid and fried chicken and waffles were very tasty but also quite rich. Personally found the sausage gravy a bit too rich and wouldn't want to eat the winner winner chicken dinner on my own next time.
Joseph L — Google review
The food here is really good! I had the fried chicken burger it was crispy, flavorful and very satisfying. The portion was generous and it definitely filled me up as a solo diner. The fries were also delicious. I also tried the banana latte and even though I usually don’t drink coffee, I actually enjoyed it a lot. It had a nice balance of flavor. One thing I didn’t quite like was the pickles they’re house-made, which is great, but personally, I’m not a big fan of the taste. Also, the seating was a bit tight next to the neighboring table, which made it slightly uncomfortable. But overall, it was a great experience!
River T — Google review
Ambiance and location is good. Food- Price: honestly, not worth the price. Too expensive for the serving. Taste: Nothing out of the ordinary. ABC skillet- typical egg, bacon and hash ( this is good though, crispy and salty Chicken winner meal- lacks a tad of salt on the cream, crunch is alright. Spam garlic rice- Spam and rice with elevated price. Good chili garlic sauce though Danish- Not that flaky, just the right amount of butter. Jam taste like your store bought jam but a bit more sour Coffee- if you love coffee, dont bother. taste pretty much like ordinary coffee with premium price. does not have the smooth and fragrant “after taste” from quality beans. Campfire- sweet chocolate milk with marshmallow Coconut latte- Coffee with a hint of coconut water Presentation wise, its good.

PACU S — Google review
Really great service from the crew there. They were able to get orders out fast and explain anything we needed on the menu and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the croissant sandwich and I got guac and bacon on the side. I added the guac and bacon to their sandwich and my goodness it was taken to the next level. The croissant was flaky and crispy and buttery as ever. I also ordered the traditional hot chocolate. In the Philippines they grind chocolate beans to make this and this was exceptionally foamy and the charred marshmallows on top added a great touch to it.

La Parisienne in Cebu has become a familiar spot for me — I've been here thrice, one of which was for a party. Nestled right before the Mormon temple, the ambiance is charming and intimate. While the food leans toward the pricier side, the flavors are well-curated. What truly keeps me coming back is the warmth of their staff — they’re always welcoming and attentive. It's a great place for small gatherings or a cozy French-inspired escape.
Paulo N — Google review
I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too crowded. This time, I purchased some pastries such as croissant, canelé, and madeleine, as well as gelato. The gelato selection was extensive and it was hard to choose, but my personal recommendation is the tiramisu flavor. It wasn’t overly sweet, yet it was rich and delicious. There were several other tempting flavors too, so I’d love to try more in the future. The canelé was also very enjoyable — sweet and flavorful. The sweetness is on the stronger side, so I think it’s perfect for those who love desserts. Both outside and inside the store, there are several photo spots. On a sunny day, the outdoor spots are especially nice for pictures. Inside, the wine display area seemed very popular, and I even noticed a line forming just for photos. Most importantly, the staff were extremely polite, kind, and friendly. Their warm hospitality made my visit a truly wonderful experience. Thank you for such a lovely day!

The food was so good, but if you can't tolerate sweets, not the place for you. The ambience was romantic, maybe because of the lights. The staff, I think smiling a little bit won't hurt. I like their outfits but they look too stiff, thus creating an impression yhat they're not friendly.

We enjoyed the food and had a nice date. We actually enjoyed the ice cream more than our food. The salted caramel macaroon will be the main reason we come back. Definitely try that!

[As someone who only drinks moscato,] we weren’t familiar with the available wines during our visit, but the server was kind enough to recommend a fruity, low-alcohol option that suited our taste. He also suggested the perfect cheese pairing, which made the experience even better. Great service! Cool place for photo ops, too! Recommended for cozy, slow date nights.
Giselle C — Google review
I really do think that this place is very instagrammable! The ambiance is so nice and the pastries are mouthwatering! Be aware though that they collect 100 pesos entrance fee ( consumable) per person. We were not aware of it actually and we were a big group, we knew about it when we paid our bill and we were asked if we have our vouchers (which we do not have). Since it's consumable and we did order a lot so the "entrance fee" was consumed. My network signal is bad, I asked if they have wifi, they do but you have to pay for it. 😅 Prices are slightly above average than others. But quality is superb.

The place is good for sharing conversations with friends, reading, or just passing time. It's a quaint little shop that sells pastries like cakes and cookies and I think the other side offers gelato ice cream. It's pretty and clean. We ordered to the avocado pandan tres leches because we were curious about how it tasted like. It was fine but maybe it's an acquired taste.
Stephanie I — Google review
Ambiance is a bit like a family restaurant rather than a confectionery/coffee shop. I love that it has air-conditioned interior with alfresco options (perfect for day to night) here in Oakridge. Coffee is sweeter than I'm used to but is served in a big tall glass. Gelato is "packed" in the container, something I'm not used to as I expected heaping scoops at the container. Cake is so-so and higher priced than other stores (I've had better at lower prices). However, the location and service I must say is amazing! Jumpacked from late afternoon to evenings, smaller crowd at lunch.

We had a very disappointing experience here. We were ignored multiple times after politely asking for service water—we asked five times over the course of nearly an hour, but nothing was brought to our table. Meanwhile, other tables that arrived later were immediately served. Our drinks were served first, but the cake took about 30 minutes, and only came after we went inside to follow up. On top of that, the staff were rude and dismissive, and it felt like we were being discriminated against based on our appearance. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. We came to enjoy ourselves, but left feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

La Marea is a popular dessert spot in Cebu known for its delectable treats and impressive latte art, including 3-D designs. The name reflects its connection to nearby bodies of water and the tides. This cozy establishment has gained a reputation for offering affordable yet indulgent desserts, with their warm brownie cups being a standout favorite.
La Marea bakeshop stands as my absolute FAVORITE bakery in Cebu, earning this distinction through consistent excellence that has kept me returning for several years. The bakery has become such an essential part of my Cebu experience that I have been bringing their delicious and perfectly baked milo cookies with me all over the world because it's genuinely my favorite cookie in terms of taste, texture, and packaging. The signature milo cookies represent bakery perfection - achieving the ideal balance of chocolatey milo flavor with a texture that remains satisfying whether eaten fresh or after traveling internationally. The thoughtful packaging ensures these treats maintain their quality during transport, making them perfect ambassadors for Cebu's culinary excellence. The oatmeal crunch cookies are also very good, providing a different but equally satisfying cookie experience. I always enjoy tasting the new variants they introduce, including raisin, strawberry, and mango, which demonstrate the bakery's commitment to innovation while maintaining quality standards across different flavor profiles. The Ube & White Chocolate Chip cookies represent the latest and best new cookie flavor, featuring such rich ube flavor paired perfectly with the sweetness of white chocolate. This combination successfully balances the earthy complexity of ube with creamy white chocolate sweetness, creating a distinctly Filipino flavor that appeals to both local and international palates. La Marea bakeshop has earned its place as a Cebu institution through consistent quality, creative flavors, and products so exceptional that they've become my go-to treats for sharing Filipino flavors with people around the world. This bakery represents the best of what Cebu's culinary scene has to offer.

I was craving sans rival and realized it had been years since my last visit to La Marea. This time, I tried their coffee sans rival, but personally, I didn’t find it worth it. The icing was too overwhelming—it felt more like eating mocha-flavored meringue with nuts. I still prefer classic sans rival desserts. That said, if you’re a meringue person, you’ll definitely love it. We also ordered their famous brownie cup, which was just okay for me. It’s more like a chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream rather than a rich, fudgy brownie. Not to say I won’t return, but if given the choice, I’d likely opt for other dessert spots.

I love La Marea especially their Apple Pie. I have been such a fan since college but I feel like their apple pie is getting smaller and has lesser apples. The best brownie in a cup has always been at La Marea! They have not been in cebu for years for no reason. Although they have other delicious desserts, they are well known for their classic brownie in a cup which has that delicate balance of sweetness and bitterness of cacao. The brownie is soft, decadent and warm - topped with vanilla ice cream and its just amazing! Because its so good sometimes you may prefer not to try or get anything else. But they do offer great desserts. This particular location is good too. there is parking available and they have a second floor as they do tend to get busy at times. Dont miss out on this cafe!
Kimberly T — Google review
It was an okay brownie with ice cream could still use improvement. The service was good, I hope to try the apple pie with icecream.
Stephen K — Google review
Can't go wrong with their warm brownie cup. They have a great selection of decadent desserts: cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, silvanas, etc., on display. They also pride themselves as having the best cheesecakes in Cebu. The servers were attentive, helpful, friendly and know what they're doing. If people say, the place is a little pricey, I say you get what you pay for. So many reasons to come back. maybe for an afternoon coffee and dessert.
Glenn B — Google review
Pros Ill give it a four because they're open until 12MN, also they have good parking space and a lot of space. They have good desserts to choose from. Cons They are using papercup for the ice cream. It's not appealing. Price wise not worth for its aesthetic.

Bloom Cakes & Coffee is a lovely cafe with perfect ambiance and decor, great coffee - soy latte and perfectly aesthetic cupcakes and cakes. The ube cupcake I had was simply delicious! I would recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a good place to drink coffee or tea special.

Very disappointed to arrive after reading all the great reviews, and see that it has closed down. We came for cupcakes for my daughters birthday so double disappointed. This listing should be removed
Elly M — Google review
Good place for a cup of coffee or tea special they have is a cupcake Recommend to visit
Ibrahim A — Google review
Great cafe to chill and relax, their best quality tea with different flavors to choose from is my personal favorite. They can also customize cakes for special events, which you can see in their beautiful cake showcase.
Ivy A — Google review
I ordered two dozen signature cupcakes for my daughter’s first birthday and they were a hit! The cupcakes are a pound cake recipe and the frosting is the perfect sweetness. Staff were very helpful in taking my order and arranging the delivery. Thank you for such a delicious dessert!
Dorothy M — Google review
Just visited Bloom for the first time while staying in The Henry Hotel next door . What a great experience! Awesome air con and good wifi is a massive plus in addition to the tasty cupcake and a really well made short macchiato. Thanks for letting me relax in your cafe! MP

Bakery
Homebakers, Inc. is a delightful haven for dessert lovers and those seeking a cozy spot to unwind. Known for their delectable merceditas and mini brazo de mercedes, this charming bakeshop offers an array of pastries that are slightly pricier but undeniably worth every penny. Their breakfast options are both tasty and budget-friendly, making it an ideal choice for leisurely mornings.
Service is Super Fast and the Lady Attendant knows her Cake - Product Knowledge is Superb! More than the great service - their cakes are always Delicious. My favs so far are their Amurloko, Yema & BTS cakes! Yum! Try their Mini Cakes so can have a taste preview before buying their big cakes.

We waited 50 mins for 2 silogs. There were only two other customers in the restaurant. Once the food came out of the kitchen it just sat on the counter for 5 minutes. I'm sure the pastries are nice, but this is not a good breakfast place. There is 0 sense of immediacy
Bridget B — Google review
I ordered Brazo de Mercedes for take out which tasted great by the way. Their staff are super nice and very accommodating. They patiently and happily told us the names of the cakes they have and for how much even if they have other customers around. There's a small parking space in front.
Kim B — Google review
A cozy and quiet place, great for lazy afternoons. Their breakfast meals are good and affordable. The pastries are good and has a nice variety, might just be slightly expensive than the others but it's worth it (example, Red Velvet Cake is P960 and a box of 16pcs cake squares is P340 while some sells this at P185 for 12pcs). They serve basic coffee items and some non-coffee drinks. The main branch can only accommodate 3-4 cars in the parking area but they recently opened a branch in SM seaside so might be good idea to go there instead. Definitely recommend this place! The only reason I'm giving it 4stars is because the cakes are only sold as a whole piece, no slices for sale. Or maybe there were none available when we went there.
Sage — Google review
One of the best Bakeshop/cake shops in the city. My favorite here is their Mercaditas. It’s brazo de Mercedes in bite-sized servings. This is an excellent place to buy cakes or cookies for gifts as well. The fantasy cake is perfect for the sweet tooth and chocolate lovers. I am also glad that they now serve good coffee concoctions and all-day breakfast items.
Carlo O — Google review
Still one of Cebu's fave pastry shop for many years. I love their Merceditas, Food for the gods, Brazo de Mercdes, and ube roll. Been a suki for many years now. For convenience, order ahead!
Carl C — Google review
I love their merceditas their mini brazo de mercedes best paired with americano! The only bad thing is that they don't give o.r even you requested because you need to purchase 500 before they give you, we spend 2 transaction of 400+ therefore it's 900+ already, kinda weird because BIR doesn't have that kind of rule. If the staff become more accommodating maybe they can have 5☆ for quality of service. Service is everything ✌😆
AJ A — Google review
The countergirl was very friendly and accommodating. Then a lady from the kitchen entered speaking negatively, I feel like she does not want customers to enter the cafe. Or is it just me she does not like since I was dressed in tshirt and jeans only. Although I planned to buy some bread, I had to turn around to say I am on gluten-free diet.

Pastry shop
Leona's Cakes and Pastries has established itself as a beloved destination in Cebu for those with a sweet tooth. Known for their delectable offerings, including the much-adored carrot walnut cake and delightful mango cake, this charming bakery provides an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. The staff is friendly and eager to assist, making it easy to explore their extensive menu of cakes and pastries. While prices are reasonable, ranging from around Php 24-100, the quality remains exceptional.
Love the Mango Cake here. More than a Cake and Pastry shop, Leona's offers a wide variety of other cakes and flavors. Their stores are coffee shop designed so that you can enjoy every slice of sweets to their suggested available drinks.
Ruben L — Google review
The price is right I always have tea to go with a slice of cake. I like how you can ask for a refill of hot water for your tea. It's not full stars though because I noticed the cream on their red velvet cake is thicker than before.
Gay D — Google review
If i can put 0 stars i would..i went there i took the bread and i ask is this a regular bread and ladie who is workint there said yes i went out open the bread ane inside was tuna. I went back i said this is not a regular bread its tuna inside is it posible to replace it or do sometning and she said no!!
Joško R — Google review
I love the selection of cakes and pastries here. A must-go for cakes for me.
Moses L — Google review
The surprise cake was delicious! Not too sweet! Although I wished they had a smaller size for it. The staff there should also smile, I understand they are busy, but a little smile can also make the customer's day better 😉
Jamie M — Google review
The most requested cakes and pastries! Super love their products. On top of that, the staff are warm and approachable, it'd be comfortable for you to ask them if you have requests. We usually ask (thinking they've changed their mind haha) if we could put dedications on any cake, they gracefully declined since the store doesn't allow it anymore. I like the way they explain and assist their clients. Keep it up. Well done!
Leyceree F — Google review
Cakes were delish!😍 Unfortunately, they dont offer service water and attendants were not as nice.
Caryl V — Google review
So far I've only tried the apple pie, fudge cheesecake (not really sure if thats the name) & the cream puff, and I liked all of them. Prices aren't cheap but they're not expensive as well( ranging from Php 24-100, from what I've bought). I like the ambiance of the place. One of my go-to places for cakes.
