Il Cuoppo, located in Naples and beyond, is a popular franchise known for its simple and traditional fried foods that are perfect for on-the-go consumption. Founded by two brothers, the concept has gained widespread success, leading to expansion both within and outside of Italy.
Found this by chance. Lovely snack for a break in a cosy street side setting. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Waiting time was 10min. But within that time, owner found us a seat so we sat to enjoy the food. Fried but not oily and tasty. Couldn't help but to buy a beer (Italian beer of course) which complimented the food well.
Alec L — Google review
had the o cuop e mare and it's good! it came with generous serving of different seafood and they're really nicely fried. it was just lightly battered so it's not so doughy. there are fried doughs which are just normal tho. however, felt that the service can be better. the staff was not so smiley 😅and he asked us to eat at one table although there's nobody else other than us.
Hans S — Google review
A small food shop serving cuoppo food at the center of Napoli. The biggest issue is the service: one person to take the orders and also prepare the dishes. This can cause many issues, as there is no name or order number kept. When they call just the name of the dish anyone can claim it and this can cause delays and disagreements. The food is fine for fried stuff and very tasty. There are no seats though and this is a bit problematic if you just want to enjoy your food relaxed.

Luigi è il migliore! My friend, Francesca and I, went here for a snack before our underground tour. It was one of the places that my boyfriend suggested in trying and it was one of best food places. We love it that we came back again!
Ella G — Google review
Delicious crispy fried baby squid and also fried anchovies, the only thing I didn’t like was the dough balls, they were oily, and I think kind of stale but other than that the seafood is amazing crispy fresh and customer service was great! Probably the best cuoppo I’ve had in Italy
Christina T — Google review
Was there ten minutes ago and despite being open with people sitting outside and the guy is still working, as I asked where to order, he said they are closed and they will open tomorrow at 11 AM. I believed him despite the official closing time on google maps is after 30 minutes from now at 20:30. I was walking down the street 10 minutes later and found him serving new customers with seafood cups, the same thing I wanted. Now I am wondering whether I wasn’t a good customer enough for him! Totally disappointed!
D A — Google review
Enjoyed the il cuoppo di mare (fried seafood mix), but not so much the included 2 pcs of fried dough. Overall, I was a happy customer. Glad we were able to squeeze this in as a snack before leaving Naples.
W L — Google review
Typical street food, nice fries, road side sitting, the seafood fries (o cuppo mare*) was great. Wait time about 5 minutes. Prices are fair 1-10 euros💷 . Not quite a 'meal' but good for a quick bite.

Cake shop
Cuori di Sfogliatella is a renowned bakery and cafe located just outside the station, offering a variety of traditional sweets including their flagship product, the well-made and balanced sfogliatelle. These pastries come in two types: sfogliatella riccia, characterized by thin, flaky layers of pastry dough shaped into a cone or clam-like form, and sfogliatella frolla.
This is a perfect place to pop into before and after your train/bus journey. The cakes in the fridges all look amazing. You can get a fresh coffee and have it at the bar like a local or sit outside in the hustle and bustle and watch the world go by. I had a warm sfogliatella that I’ve wanted to try for a long while, the Ragu… it didn’t disappoint. The lovely lady that served us spoke broken English and was extremely helpful, my Italian failed me when I was asked a question, essentially did I want it hot or cold 😂. Anyway, I’d definitely recommend a call in if you’re around.
UnPhiltered — Google review
Lovely cafe, outdoor covered tables, cappuccino a bit strong for my taste but lovely coffee. A nice variety of pastries. Prices reasonable and staff friendly and helpful. Came back again a few days later for more pastries and mango smoothies. Yum Yum.
Robert A — Google review
Absolutely incredible sfogliatella! We stopped by Cori di Sfogliatelle near Piazza Garibaldi by the train station and were blown away. We tried the pistachio, baci, and chocolate — all were fresh, rich, and bursting with flavor. The texture was perfect, crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Honestly, the best sfogliatelle we've ever had. A must-visit if you're in Naples!
Jean C — Google review
We didn't dine at this specific venue, but did grab breakfast and snacks at the branches in the Terminus station and Garibaldi square. The Sfogliatella are devine and we enjoyed the coffees. The staff in the Terminus station were very friendly.
Martin D — Google review
The shop is in a great spot and right by the terminal. Visually, it’s very appealing. Clean, modern, and well-presented, it draws you in right away. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the setting. Staff were noticeably slow to serve, even though the shop wasn’t particularly busy at the time. It made the experience feel a bit frustrating, especially if you're short on time before a train or flight. As for the pastries: decent, but unremarkable. They looked good in the display but didn’t offer much in terms of flavor or freshness. Not bad, just not memorable. A convenient stop thanks to its location, but don’t expect much beyond that.
Therese O — Google review
It was totally disaster. This place is %100 tourist trap. We ate 3 deserts 2 espresso 1 orange juice. 27 euros.. 😱.. They were extremely sweet. We could not finish creamy baba.. In the toilet there was no soup the door was broken there was no hand dryer or paper..It was like an ancient roman style..
Cigilo — Google review
Great selection of sweet and savory sfogliatella! A bit pricey and usually crowded, but the fast turnover means pastries come out fresh from the oven all the time. Perfect for a sweet treat or light breakfast by the train station. Coffee is excellent too!
Nicole A — Google review
Delicious experience, can get crowded though. We had a very nice selection of dishes and thoroughly enjoyed it. We visited in the morning and most of the items were freshly made. The pista and classic Baba were simply amazing. They also have a washroom to use.

Pizza Takeout
Restaurant
In Naples, you can savor the unique and indulgent delight of pizza fritta. This delectable creation is a product of Neapolitans' love for fried food, born out of necessity after World War II when traditional pizza ingredients became scarce. The double round of pizza dough is filled with a variety of delicious fillings such as ricotta, mozzarella, ham, and more before being deep-fried to perfection in olive oil.
Pizza fritta is a great place in the narrow streets of Napoli. It's a small fast food, but it was exceptional, plus it was really affordable, only 4 euros for the classica. The people who work there are very energetic, smiling and friendly as well. The service is fast and the pizza fritta is so hot you'll burn your mouth trying to eat it haha. I'd love to come back!
Nassim G — Google review
It feels like a shop is run by a family. Warm and homie feeling about this place. The classic pizza is super satisfying. Thin but chewy crust was surprisingly good. The price €4 cant justify this quality. I would love to have it again here if possible.
Katie K — Google review
I walked upto the small corner shop that sells pizza fritta (friend pizza). The staff speaks English and is friendly. It usually takes 3-4 mins for your pizza to get ready, unless there is a queue. Fried pizza sounds heavy but it is worth trying and isn’t that heavy to finish.
Anushika B — Google review
Not a bad fried pizza but definitely not as good as usual. Cheap and fast though

Great fresh pizza frita so fresh and yummy and that wine they have is delicious staff is very warm and welcoming I highly recommend coming here when visiting Naples
Denise V — Google review
Such a small gem in the middle of neighborhood. Everyone knows everyone. Owner was very kind enough to let us watch the whole process of making the fried pizza. Food was excellent! Service was superb. Atmosphere was just amazing. Very friendly small fried pizza shop that made our first day at the Napoli more welcoming.
Jeff H — Google review
After seeing some amazing views of the Naples skyline during sunset, we headed over to Pizza Fritta due to the great google reviews. This was a true Napolitana pizza experience with exception dough work and tasty flavours for both the tomato and white based options that were chosen. Ingredients done well and a friendly family atmosphere. Fantastic dinner spot.

Had Napoletana with Salsiccia, Friarielli and Provola, it was simply delicious and felt well fed, price is very good and service is great too, you can sit by the table and watch life goes by with music playing in a background which makes it even better, grazie mille.

Tandem - Via Paladino is a cozy trattoria in Naples that offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is known for its rich ragù sauce, which is the highlight of their menu. This slow-cooked meat sauce, typical of Neapolitan cuisine, is served with various types of handmade pasta such as spaghetti, ziti, rigatoni, and gnocchi.
We came in a bit before closing, totally starving, and the staff welcomed us so kindly—saying if we made it in 20 minutes, they could still serve us homemade pasta. It was such a funny and friendly moment! The food was really good, especially the pasta. The lasagna was a bit cold, but understandable given the time. Super nice staff and cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back on our next trip to Napoli (earlier next time)!
Maram H — Google review
Was worried with them having so many sites in Naples it might be a bit of a tourist trap but it wasn't and the food was brilliant! We had maybe a 10 minute wait for a table in the evening on a Monday. We were told when ordering that the starters were to share between 2, we ordered one each anyway and they were huge! But so tasty we could help but finish them but honestly one starter between two is more han enough We had the deep fried lasagna and he fried basket to start, both were great and we had two portions of the ragu with ricotta as our mains again fantastic. The staff were really welcoming and I would strongly recommend coming here to eat as it was brilliant. I wish we'd saved room for dessert as if it was as good as the other two courses it would have been amazing
Samuel K — Google review
Fantastic place for authentic, slow-cooked Neapolitan ragù! We were seated (but it took forever though) and tried the Rigatoni alla Genovese and Lasagna al Ragù, plus the Tiramisu. I personally loved everything—rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. Warning: The dishes are incredibly heavy (as authentic ragù should be), and my wife found the rich, slow-cooked flavor profile was not to her taste. A top spot if you appreciate deeply savory, traditional Italian comfort food.
Nika K — Google review
Very very good Neapolitan food with excellent service and a warm atmosphere! Each dish had its own distinct flavor, and we truly enjoyed every single one. I had gnocchi and they were perfect! 🤩
Katarina P — Google review
I went there for lunch. Soft jazz music was playing in the background, which created a calm atmosphere and was never disturbing. The place is quite small, with about six or seven tables inside. Service was warm and friendly, and the restrooms were clean. They offered different ragù dishes, and the waiters were knowledgeable in explaining the pasta options and other items. The best part was that they could speak English, which is a real advantage since this is often a challenge in many cafés in Naples. From what I saw, most of the customers were tourists, probably because it’s close to the main attractions. I ordered gnocchi, and the food was delicious.
Nesrin D — Google review
The best rigattoni with genovese in Napoli. Perfectly al dente pasta and huge amount of delicious souce. I recommend this particular restaurant because we ate in the other tandem ragu point on the other day and it was not so tasty as here.
PaulaSandrax3 — Google review
I loved this restaurant so much that I came back three more times. A hidden — and tasty — gem in Naples’ historic centre. Staff are super welcoming and kind. I’d strongly recommend this place to anyone who’s visiting Naples.
Luis B — Google review
Funny story. I thought I made a reservation at this location via their WhatsApp. It's my birthday and they were genuinely lovely on the message app. I can't tell you how much I appreciated a warm birthday wish from the team that handles the messages-but! I was wrong and we came to this location that doesn't take reservations at 8pm. They were so understanding and we were seated fairly quickly. The place is intimate which made for lovely conversations with other tables. The staff were awesome. The food was delicious. I had to take most of mine home after generous starters, as well as beautiful olive oil, bread and cheese. Sweet melon and limoncello with the bill was a wonderful touch. Un buon notte per il mio compleanno, grazie mille!

Tarallificio Leopoldo is a renowned spot in Naples where you can indulge in the traditional Italian snack known as taralli. These ring-shaped biscuits are made with a simple dough of flour, olive oil, white wine, and salt, giving them a crispy outer shell and slightly chewy interior. The addition of pork lard provides an irresistibly flaky texture, while toasted almonds inside add a savory flavor.

Gino e Toto Sorbillo is a renowned pizzeria located in the heart of Naples. Established by a family with a long tradition of pizza-making, it has gained cult status among locals and visitors alike. The pizzeria's massive wood-fired oven produces thick-crust pizzas that meet all the criteria for an ideal Neapolitan pizza. Made from premium organic Campanian ingredients, their pizzas are highly sought after, often resulting in long queues.
We luvluckuvvvvvvvv this place- just as anazing as it was 3 years ago- take their local Prosecco, it's fabulos! We've tried their Margherita, Diabola and Tuna and onion- all impeccable, sunshine and stars bursting in your mouth! The atmosphere is something else- you can see people of different wlages and paths of life- happy with their food. The place ALWAYS has a line, but it moves fast and is TOTALLYYYYT worth the visit. Thank you for being consistent in the quality of food and service you provide throughout the years! The waiting staff- amazingly amiable, helpful and supernice. They make this place SPECIAL, we'll be back! 🤍
Ani B — Google review
Honest review here. We really wanted and expected to be overwhelmed-but we weren't. I've been in Naples studying Italian and we saved Sorbillo for our last week. We arrived early at 5:30 pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately; however, we waited for 15 minutes for our server- he was particularly gruff until I spoke in Italian. The restaurant was not full at all. He was quite attentive afterwards. The house craft beer was good and I liked that it was served in large wine glasses, a bit of class. The prices are very reasonable and it is clear that they use quality ingredients -but, regardless, the pizzas were not sunshine or stars bursting in your mouth as so many reviews seem to suggest. Did we have high expectations, probably based on the reviews -could it have been an off night- maybe. I think the experience is one that many will seek because of the hype. I just wanted to throw out the possibility that it might just be hype. I don't think it would have been worth a long wait for a table.
Leila H — Google review
I now get the hype and honestly it‘s well deserved. The pizzas were delicious and I can say it‘s one of the best in Naples. If you had to prioritize only one Pizza restaurant to go, this is IT! Fried Pizza is definitely one of their specialties but all their other pizzas are also amazing. No misses.
Erika U — Google review
After arriving we gave our names to the lady at the door and they called us in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was not overly crowded or noisy. The pizza was exceptionally tasty. But I’m yet to try my second one so I can give a better opinion 😅 the prices were also surprisingly good for such a famous and central place. The service could’ve been a bit more friendly to match the high quality of the food but I guess nothing is ever perfect. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I’ll be visiting again.
Stiliyan S — Google review
We had a great experience and we strongly recommend for having an great and traditional pizza napolitana. The staff was also very friendly and spoke in English. The pizzas came very fast even with the local on full capacity. The beer was colder than the average in Napoli!
Lucas G — Google review
Sorbillo- Gino e Toto was amazing! Waited about 15/20 minutes, but it was totally worth it. The food came out fast, the staff was super friendly, and their recommendations were spot on. Two pizzas ended up being way more filling than expected!
T R — Google review
This restaurant specialize in pizza and will have to rate this is the best pizza in Naples. We were in Naples for 6 days and each day we've tried a different restaurant and came back to Sorbillo a second time on our last night. We experienced 5 restaurants within those 6 days. The service and servers were excellent and friendly. The pizza we ordered were the Margarita, and Diovalla and Marisa.
Culinary T — Google review
Dined here twice already. First visit was around 7 PM on a Wednesday — we were seated right away. The second time was Monday lunch, and we waited about half an hour. Both times, the pizza was excellent. The main ingredient — the dough — was scrumptious. After all, no toppings can save tasteless dough. We tried four different pizzas and loved them all.

Simple, nice eat it while walking and standing… its very hot… and delicious…. Take one full pizza and you might order another one 🥰❤️ i took one to go and still it tasted amazing when it was cold ❤️

This is antique fried pizza, much like, to me, a big fried empanada with lots of cheese and a little meat. It is made by hand and cooked as you order. It will be given to you fresh from the frying pan. The place is small and most of the time there is a line and you have to wait for a while for your order. For me, it is worth the wait. You have to taste a different way of “pizza” preparation and the end result is surprisingly delicious. The generous amount of cheese melts in your mouth and the dough, although fried, is very soft. When you are visiting Naples, Italy, I recommend trying this fried pizza.

If you want to eat the classical Napoletan pizza fritta, this is the place you must come to. We had the classic (just tomato and cheese) for 4.90 EUR. It didn't have much sauce though which was a bit disappointing. I'm not gonna lie: it's just a fried pizza, so it is nothing mind blowing. It's good of course (how can a fried pizza taste bad?), but it wasn't that special. It works as a snack to share in two since it's quite heavy for just one person in my opinion.

I absolutely loved this place! I was really surprised by how light the pizza was — and the ricotta was incredibly delicious. It felt so light that I could’ve easily eaten fifteen more! This is a perfect stop while exploring Naples. The fried pizza here is unique and made in the traditional Neapolitan way, giving it a crispy outside and a soft, airy inside. Totally worth trying! 🍕🇮🇹

A really great place — we tried fried pizza here for the first time, and it was an amazing discovery. €4.90 per pizza, and then you have to leave your ticket on the counter with a coin on top so the cook will prepare it — a hidden gem in the streets of Naples. There are three small tables outside where you eat standing up. We loved it. We tried the classic one and another that was recommended to us, which had meatballs inside. Both were excellent — a fantastic spot.

Super fast, super friendly and super tasty. Switched to English when our Italian failed, didnt make us feel out of place and took our time to order correctly. The food was super fast, the chef was very cheerful and the taste was delicious. If you want a high quality, fast taste of naples street food I would recommend.

Not the best experience, the fried pizza tastes good but nothing special. Very busy place but the wait is not too long. Only a few standing tables. All fried pizzas are 4,90€ but there is only one vegetarian available.

Antica Pizzeria Di Matteo is a popular eatery located on Via Tribunali in the historical center of Naples. It has been serving pizza since 1936 and is frequented by both locals and tourists. The restaurant offers an unassuming atmosphere with a bustling vibe, and there's usually a queue at lunchtime for their street-facing takeaway counter. President Bill Clinton even visited during the G7 summit in 1994, adding to its popularity.
Situated on the vibrant and buzzy Via dei Tribunal Di Matteo's is reputedly one of the best places to get pizza in the whole of Napoli. Would I agree with this? Yes. It probably took about 5 minutes for our pizza to be made. A delicious, fresh hot margarita for just €6 which we devoured heartedly while sitting across the road spping apperol spritz. What a life! If you're ever in Naples this is certainly a place to check out.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hosts, tour guides, and even AI. We decided to give it a try, but it was a big disappointment. It started with the staff, who clearly weren’t enjoying their job and definitely weren’t friendly. They snapped their fingers to move us along like cattle. After a failed first attempt, they finally seated us at an uncleared table, which they started cleaning in front of us. Drinks were served in plastic cups… the pizza was well below average – even by the standards of countries where pizza isn’t a national dish, let alone for Naples. The only thing that was acceptable were the prices, though I’m not sure if they were even justified by the quality.
Tomas H — Google review
Naples is a city where even the humblest pizzeria can deliver a slice of heaven. Sadly, this establishment proved the exception to that rule. What should have been a celebration of Neapolitan tradition unraveled into the most disappointing dining experience of our week. The ordeal began with a 20-minute wait outside, tolerable enough, but once seated we languished for another half-hour before a server even approached to take our order. Fifteen more minutes passed before the food arrived, by which point our appetite had given way to frustration. And then came the real letdown: the Margherita. In the birthplace of this iconic dish, one expects a delicate balance of molten mozzarella, fragrant tomato, and airy crust. Instead, what arrived was a pale imitation—the cheese congealed and rubbery, resisting the very idea of melting. It was a joyless rendition, unworthy of the Neapolitan name. The fried pizza fared no better. Advertised as being filled with prosciutto or salame, it instead harbored a muddled, offal-like filling that felt both deceptive and unpalatable. In a city where authenticity is sacred, this was a culinary betrayal. And for a restaurant as renowned, plastic glasses were something I have never seen before. In Naples, mediocrity is rare—but when it appears, it is glaring. This restaurant, regrettably, offered the lowest note in an otherwise harmonious symphony of flavors across the city.

The service was not particularly friendly, at the entrance they just yell and point you in the direction of the table. The dough was kinda bitter. The appetizers were good, but the pizzas were definitely below average for Naples I think they would be average in our country. They charge you a 15% fee for "service". Additionally they got our order wrong. It might have been one of the better pizzerias in the past but definitely not anymore.
Rok C — Google review
The food was very good - but it was a long line and it was not worth it. We spent 20 minutes getting just one frittatine that was good but not worth the hassle. To try, I recommend but I would not sit down to eat here.

Nice place for pizza fritta. Other pizza styles are good too. Arancini have nice flavor but are maybe inconsistent in temperature. I have been coming here for many years. Over time it's become a bit more touristy unfortunately and service seems to have gone down.

Great pizza, terrible experience. Was told this is the spot to go in Napoli. Waited in a crowded alley dodging cars and vespas for a while waiting for a table. Once we had a table waited 20 minutes to get our order taken. Then another 45 minutes for the two pizzas! Everyone else in the room got theirs before us despite coming later, sometimes maybe seating half an hour after us. Then hounded for a tip was we were leaving since they clocked us as American. Asked locals about the place later and everyone said it used to be good. My tip, go somewhere else.

All I can say is that this pizza was the finest I have ever had. Fine, delicate crust, fresh tomato sauce, a light luck of olive oil... it's going to be hard to eat other pizza for a while.

Giri di Pasta - Vomero is a popular spot with two branches, one in Vomero and the other on via dei Tribunali. It draws inspiration from Neapolitan tradition by offering 13 different single-serving pasta omelettes made with Campania doc products. The place is known for its gourmet take on the classic 'macaroni omelette' and offers larger portions at fair prices compared to typical fry shops.
(Translated by Google) Simply fantastic. "Giri di pasta" is the gourmet version of the much loved (in Naples) "macaroni omelette". The prices are fair and related to the portions (which are MUCH larger than the typical fry shop omelette). You can see that great care was taken in the choice of raw materials and in the preparation, you could be a little more careful to "dry" the omelette a little before serving it because a couple of times it was too greasy (the rest of the time it was the right one). I don't know whether to call it real street food, considering the portions it's almost like lunch or dinner. They say they deliver throughout Naples and are on Just Eat but when I put my address on the app they don't appear, maybe they have to widen the delivery perimeter on Just Eat or maybe Petraio is no man's land ;) The loyalty card idea is good, with every 10 pasta omelettes one free. A flaw? Apart from the large portions (which ultimately isn't a flaw :D), perhaps the lack of variety, in the sense that some of the omelettes are too similar, and there is a lack of a sweet omelette (style "pastiera di sweet pasta ", Torrese recipe, search on Google) and, with the warm season approaching, something fresher and lighter is also needed (stuffed omelette like Caprese? It's just an idea :D) otherwise they risk having us all summer long few people go... given that it is a type of food that not only fills you up but also heats you up a lot. However, it's worth it. At least out of curiosity, since it was missing in Vomero (I discovered the existence of the one in the center after seeing the one in Vomero). (Original) Semplicemente fantastico.

L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele, a historic pizzeria in Napoli, has been serving what many consider the best pizza in the city for over 150 years. It gained international fame after being featured in 'Eat Pray Love,' attracting both locals and tourists. The pizzeria offers only two types of pizzas - margherita and marinara - making it a vegetarian-friendly spot.
Absolutely worth the wait — even if it’s a long one! My tip: go around 12 PM, when the line is shorter — we were seated inside within 10 minutes. The interior is spacious and keeps an authentic, slightly old-school charm that adds to the local feel. And the pizza was incredible. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, the mozzarella was perfect, but the highlight was the beautifully leopard-spotted dough — soft, chewy, and full of character. The portion size was huge (even larger than the plate!), and for the price, it’s an amazing deal. The inside is also pleasantly cool — a huge plus on a hot Neapolitan day — though it does make the mozzarella firm up a little faster. One thing I missed was a house wine option; it would’ve complemented the meal perfectly. Bottom line: a must-try spot in Naples.

It was great visiting here. Loved the pizza. People were nice. No rushing to clear the table at the time when we went. Had a Margherita pizza, which was absolutely delicious. I was so hooked on to the taste, that I found out that they have an operational branch in Amsterdam as well and I visited them yesterday. It was the same taste and I loved it.

Very good pizza and very good flavour! It is and will be a long wait. You will wait an hour so I recommend getting a table because why not - the queue is the same! The pizza was very good, it did take a while so it came out a little colder than expected. But the leoparding was good, the flavour of everything in that pizza was incredible. The dough, the sauce, the cheese and everything. Unbelievably good. There are not many types of pizza but you do not need many flavours of that pizza. It was worth getting any!
Andrei C — Google review
After almost one hour of waiting we managed to get inside as a group of 7 people. The system is a bit confusing and we got there on the time when they were letting all the people out, cleaning the tables and only after letting all the people who are waiting in. We got there around 15:30. It’s not the ideal time. If you are very hungry you have to consider the waiting. There is a separate queue for the take away pizza. It’s a bit difficult to talk with the staff managing the queue. When you want to eat inside you have to ask for the number and tell the number of people dining in. The wait inside for the pizza wasn’t long at all considering that we were taking 5 pizzas. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Pizza was very good but not sure if it was great ale worth this wait. We just went there as the place is famous. In general we were happy about this experience. The price was great too, very cheap for this famous place.

I was brought to try this pizza place by a local. In general we didn’t have to wait too long to be seated, approximately 10 minutes. We were there for lunch around 14:00, but from what I’ve heard the queue can get quite long in the late evening. The service was a bit questionable, they weren’t very friendly, which might be caused by the very chaotic environment. The price of the pizza is exceptional. You can rarely find a place that serves delicious pizza for only 6 euro. The taste as well was superb. I would gladly go back.

Fantastic experience! The pizza is incredibly delicious! Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in my life! My recommendation: don’t wait for a table inside. Gran Caffè Gambrinus, a 19th-century coffee house located near via Toledo and Plebiscito Square in Naples, is a historical gem that has stood the test of time. Adorned with statues, paintings, and frescos by renowned Italian artists, this elegant café is steeped in literary history and known for its role in popularizing the concept of 'suspended coffee.'
We had a wonderful experience at Cambrinus in Naples. The lemon sorbet was refreshing, the cappuccino was great, and we also tried a delicious local specialty filled with ham and cheese. Everything was very tasty, including the tea. The atmosphere felt like being in a museum – so beautiful and elegant. We were given a lovely table right by the window, and the staff provided excellent service. Truly a memorable visit!🫶🏼

The food was generous, rich in flavor and the patisserie crunchy and sweet, the waiters don’t really seem to enjoy their gig, but that’s pretty avg in Napoli (or Italy). In spite of that, the service is fast as almost everything just needs to be warmed up. Coffee is great and fresh OJ is a little ray of sunshine trough the overall experience.

They have on of the best pastries in Italy. But the service could be better and the place could be taken care better. We went there twice, one time for breakfast and other for an afternoon coffee. On both occasions the service was pretty average. The coffee nothing special, but the pastries. Perfection! The best of all was the sfogliatella, nice layers of perfect crust with a filling that wasn't too sweet. I recommend for a good pastry treat in Naples.

Centrally located, prime spot for people watching and beautiful building. This is by far one of the best espresso we had during our trip in Italy. So good that we went back 3 times in total during our visit in Naples. The pastries were great too.. as for the service as expected during high season. Fatigue, not very friendly.. probably sick of tourists like us and under staff given they didn't open a section of the restaurant and would rather have customers wait in the queue. Worth a visit.. just don't expect much from the service. Pastries and espresso.. definitely Yes! Absolutely love their menu, photos and descriptions. Perfect!!

Great spot for breakfast, we came here a couple of times. Fantastic people watching and great location to sit and enjoy your morning food. Coffee is good, pastries are fresh and delicious and the staff are brilliant. It is a touch on the pricey side for Naples but it is worth it. The selection of drinks is probably the most substantial of all the spots we went to in Naples. One thing I will say is I stopped off for a late afternoon Sfogliatella and unlike in the morning which was brilliant this time it had very obviously been sat for many hours and the filling had gone a bit past its best so I would recommend if you want the pastries go at breakfast when they have just been made as they are brilliant. I had the best pain au chocolat of my life here

Gran Caffè Gambrinus is a place that leaves a lasting impression with just a single cup of coffee. I stopped by briefly for one espresso — the “strapazzato” — and that short moment completely redefined what coffee means to me. Though I spent no more than five minutes there, the depth, aroma, and intensity of that cup made time feel suspended. It wasn’t just about caffeine; it was about heritage, craftsmanship, and emotion in a cup. It’s rare to find a place where such a simple experience feels so profound. I know that even if I return years later, that brief memory — and the anticipation of tasting it again — will stay with me for a very long time.

An interesting place and very unusual because of the way you place your order. First, you go to the counter, order from the cashier and then you go to the bar or the pastry section. It can be very confusing for tourists because there are no signs explaining what to do or how it works. My recommendation is to first take a look at all the cake names and then go to the counter. All in all, the coffee is excellent and the cakes are unbelievably beautiful and delicious. Definitely a place you must visit!

Average to say the least, we waited over an hour to get a table, the glasses for our water were hot and wet straight from the dishwasher, the pasta i had was like the one i was served in school in the 80’s, my friends had cannelloni and left half of it, had to wait ages to pay the bill. Not reccommended, i’m Italian and it is my first day in Naples, i am baffled at the great reviews vs the reality of this place. Don’t waste your time. Oh, and a 15% service charge is automatically added to your bill. Service is not good either.

Umberto is a long-standing trattoria in the Chiaia neighborhood of Naples, run by the Di Porzio family since 1916. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and a robust Italian wine list. The rooms are decorated with vintage photos and contemporary art pieces. The menu features a variety of dishes, including wood-fired pizzas, seasonal options, and Neapolitan specialties such as Controne bean soup and miniature potato gatto.
The best meal in our 10-day trip in italy. Every dishes are perfectly cooked. Napoli pizza is super delicious. The staff is very friendly making our family feel at ease with his humor and hospitality. Highly recommend

Excellent restaurant in Naples we were very pleased, especially for the fish of the day which was succulent! Cooked to perfection. The other fish in the menu with some crumbs was also delicious, and a special mention for the grilled zucchini’s which have some lemon and were the best we’ve had in Naples by far! Good waiters, restaurant started getting busy towards 8.30/9pm. Decent prices. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our recent meal here so much that we came back a second time! The restaurant was cosy and inviting, the staff made us feel at home right away. Their simple menu features many local specialties and every one that we tried was delicious. I also appreciated how many dishes could be prepared gluten free. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for elegant, regional Italian cuisine.

They managed to squeeze us in for a quick lunch during our family holiday to Italy. Restaurant is in a lovely spot in a nice part of the city, fairly easy to find. The food was really good. We had simple pizza and pasta dishes, but some of the other things being carried past smelt absolutely delicious, too. The pizza was some of the best we had in Italy - you know it's good when the kids enjoy eating the crusts as much as the toppings. The gluten free pizza was also delicious. Staff were very friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere - slightly more formal than other places we visited, but still very relaxed. Would love to go back if we visit Naples again.

We went to Umberto’s upon a friend’s recommendation and we had such a lovely evening. This family restaurant (3rd generation if I’m not mistaken) is proposing classic Napoli’s cuisine with family recipes on the menu. It’s the best food we’ve had in Italy so far: tasty, fresh, delicious! Massimo was very attentive to all guests and did help us select some dishes for the special occasion. The staff was super nice, present yet discreet throughout the diner. I highly recommend and we will return next time we are in Naples.

We had a starter each (baby octopus with tomato sauce and italian fried snacks) and a main course (stuffed squid and 3 small pizzas), plus drinks Food was good, service quick! Stuffed squid was really tasty! Tender meat and the inside had an interesting sweet (raisin) and sour taste (olives and other stuff)...the 3 small pizzas were a surprise because we certainly didnt expect pizza to look like that..or maybe it is just my bad Italian..anyway, food is good I was mostly impressed by the age of this place and the building itself: walls are very thick :)
Svetlana B — Google review
The service we received was excellent. No denying it. We ordered a pizza to start and it was excellent as well. We both ordered the Genovese pasta and were not blown away by it. It was good but not great. Probably because up to this point, we had had pasta dishes that blew our minds away!

We stumbled upon Umberto’s by chance… and it turned out to be the best dining experience of our entire trip to Naples. 🍝✨ Every bite was a delight, the staff was impeccable, and the atmosphere simply charming. It didn’t take long for us to realize this is one of those places the locals treasure… and now, so do we. 💛🇮🇹

Pastry shop
Sfogliate and Sfogliatelle are a delightful Neapolitan treat consisting of paper-thin layers of clam-shaped pastry filled with a luscious mixture of creamy ricotta cheese, sugar, cinnamon, and candied citrus. These labor-intensive pastries come in two versions: riccia (curly) and frolla (shortcrust), with the former being the most popular.
The best coffee I have had in Italy. The pastries are also to magnificent, and the team members are lovely. Will return there, and I highly recommend this institution when visiting Naples!
Joey P — Google review
Great place that sells Sfogliatelle, a typical sweet from Naples. I am from Sicily so I am well acquainted with ricotta in sweets: in this case the ricotta is quite different! They make their sweets with old recipes that were studied in archives and literature. This is an "unexpected" great place and surely will not give you the typical sfogliatella but a VERY GOOD one. I also suggest heavily the San Patrizia one without ricotta. You'll be blown away by the spices, the cinnamon, the texture, the moist. You would expect a normal frolla to be "dry" without ricotta. Infact, it's remarkable. Great job guys, keep it up :)
Celio A — Google review
Definitely the best sfogliatelle in Campania! Fresh, crispy and tasty with a hint of an orange in the ricotta filling. Informative and kind service
Violet K — Google review
We come here by accident. Means I don’t see my list and suddenly we see this shop (it’s already in my list, actually) At that time, no customer. The seller is quite friendly. We order 2 different kinds of their products with cappuccino and coffee of course. Crispy and soft. I prefer the crispy one. Classic sfogliatelle I think. I like the dough but I don’t really like inside cream/ricotta etc. too much for me :) Try it when you visit Naples.
Ronnie M — Google review
If you're craving some Sfogliatella, Naples signature pastry then there's no better place to try it than a bakery named after it. That's basically all they have and they they make them very well. You can try the flaky riccia version or frolla which has a shortbread style crust. Both are very delicious. There's a few tables inside to eat and the cashier was very nice. One thing to note is this cafe is tucked away in little alley off the main street so it's easy to miss.
Kris P — Google review
This place is amazing!! Easily the best sfogliatelle of my life; coming from my home, the heart of NYC’s little Italy, I arrived to Napoli with a passion for this pastry and was prepared to have my mind blown. And I sure did! They have the kindest & most accommodating staff ever, he sat us on the “balcony” seating for photos :) do it right and get an espresso!
Christina K — Google review
A dream coming true! Because I’m allergic to dairy, I felt blessed to have a chance to taste the Santa Patrizia Riccia & Frolla, which are completely dairy-free and consist of two types of sweets from Napoli bakery! The Santa Patrizia Riccia is made with puffy pastry, and the Frolla is made with shortcrust. Both are stuffed with a lovely dairy-ree mix of almond, hazelnut and orange zest! I couldn't believe how tasty they were! Best eating them as soon as they are baked with a lovely espresso made with the moka machine! Supper suggested it is a must-try in Napoli!
V. A — Google review
Honestly best Sfogliatella I’ve had, warm, crispy, moist and zesty. They did forgot another pastry I asked for so that’s my only complaint and reason it doesn’t get 5 stars.

Osteria Della Mattonella is a charming Neapolitan tavern with a cozy setting, featuring closely arranged tables and traditional decor such as original floors, wooden beams, and antique Vietri-style tiles. Managed by Massimo Marangio, the restaurant offers authentic home-cooked dishes overseen by Mrs.
We went to this traditional restaurant in Naples and had some of the best pasta we’ve ever eaten in Italy! I had gnocchi with tomato sauce and cheese – simple and so flavorful. My husband had spaghetti with octopus, olives, and capers – also amazing. The pasta was high quality, perfectly cooked al dente, just how it should be. Great food, great vibe – nothing more to say, just go and enjoy! Ciao!

Such a cozy place. Reservations are required. They were nice enough to make room for us although we didn't have one. Highly recommend as it's also a little hidden and not in the busy loud area.
Maltina — Google review
We stayed here for dinner. The place is fully booked so you should make a reservation in advance. Fortunately we still got a free spot the same day a couple of hours later. The food was amazing, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the octopus was really soft inside, and the ragu was probably the best I've ever had. The service is also excellent, our order was taken fast and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The prices are very reasonable. The interior looks good and only has around five tables so it's a really calm setting. If you visit Napoli you should definitely try this place.
Rok C — Google review
A True Hidden Gem in Naples Mattonella is one of those places that remind you why eating in Naples is such a joy. Tucked away from the main tourist paths, this is a genuinely authentic spot where locals come for honest, perfectly cooked Neapolitan food. The polpo (octopus) was exceptional — tender, flavorful, and simply dressed to let the freshness shine through. The melanzane alla parmigiana was comfort on a plate: rich, delicate layers with that perfect balance of tomato, mozzarella, and eggplant that only true home-style cooking can achieve. And the pasta — absolutely spot on, cooked al dente with bold, traditional flavors that speak of real Neapolitan soul. No frills, no gimmicks — just excellent food, warm service, and a sense that you’re eating in a piece of Naples’ culinary history. A must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the city like a local, not a tourist trap.
Mirjana M — Google review
As someone originally from Naples, I’ve been to many osterie over the years, but Osteria della Mattonella stands out as a true classic. This time, my wife (from DC) and I were in town with two friends visiting Naples for the first time. I wanted them to experience a real, traditional Neapolitan meal—and this place delivered perfectly. We started with a fresh buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad, paired with marinated aubergines—simple but full of flavour and character. For our pastas, we shared the ragù napoletano and pasta alla puttanesca. The ragù was rich and deeply comforting, cooked exactly the way it should be, and the pasta itself was al dente perfection. For our mains, we shared meatballs and friarielli (Neapolitan broccoli rabe)—a classic combination that brought everyone to the table smiling. Everything was paired with a bottle of Valpolicella, which complemented the meal beautifully. The atmosphere was intimate, charming, and full of soul. You feel like you're stepping into someone’s home, where everything is made with love and tradition. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. This is the kind of place that reminds you why Neapolitan cuisine is so special. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic experience. Make sure to book in advance very busy here, and we were lucky to get in

Fantastic place, family atmosphere, delicious food and great service, only superlatives are enough for this place, don't miss it when visiting Naples! You need to make a reservation, place is very small, but that is part of the experience!
Andreas M — Google review
It was just a perfect experience. Traditional Neapolitan restaurant with amazing dishes. Super delicious!
Ortal S — Google review
Naples has become really touristic and it's hard find places that have not become tourist traps. I would say that this is not exactly an exception since it's packed with tourists, but at least they keep the quality of the food high and the prices low, which is pretty much all that matters. We had gnocchi alla sorrentina (9 EUR) and pasta alla genovese (8 EUR). Both dishes were really good. Pasta super aldente, as it should be, and a good amount of meat in the genovese too. The coperto is 2 EUR per person which is a bit high, but at least you get some nice bread. The coffee was amazing, and of course served in a glass cup as the Napoletan law states. The staff was not very friendly, but not rude either. Just doing their job, which is fine. This osteria is really good and they have all the traditional dishes that you may want to try while visiting Naples. Definitely a good option when looking for traditional cuisine for good prices.

Pizza Fritta 1947 is a popular Naples pizzeria that offers a delicious fried pizza. This dish is a longstanding tradition and can be found at most pizzerias in the city. The Posillipo, a spin on the classic fried pizza, features rocket, lemon zest, provola and caciocavallo cheese. This restaurant is accessible for those with disabilities and serves alcohol.
A crazy experience, for me it was the best pizza fritta I ever tasted. Keep digestives at hand and dig in for the hot bubbly oily goodness. Top notch ingredients and for sure an old unchanged recipe! Must have if you’re in Napoli.
Arka R — Google review
The atmosphere with lively and bright. Tables were clean and the food was decent. However the the service was somewhat slow. We also were charged more for items than the price listed on the menu. When we brought this to their attention the error was quickly rectified. Make sure to review your receipt before paying.
Deb S — Google review
Great pizza fritta, the best I have ever tried. The pizzas are quite big but they are so soft and digestible. Pizza dough is quite "salty" although it's my personal preference. The interior and the condiments have, on the other hand, the right amount of seasoning. I really suggest this place for a really good Pizza Fritta
Celio A — Google review
The food was good overall. We ordered the pizza fritta with mortadella, nothing wrong with it, but a bit too dry and flavourless for my taste. The salad was refreshing and tasty. Drinks were good, prices very reasonable, and service was fine. Worth trying if you want to experience different pizza styles in Naples.
Y F — Google review
A really fine pizza place! I know that if you are visiting this area of Naples, you are overwhelmed with the number of pizzeria and pizza choices within a 10-minute walk! This one we feel is one you should try. They have a unique way of making their crust and we devoured the pizzas we got from here. Be sure to look at all the menus because everyone has their own specialties. The service was great and the price was reasonable. We love that the name has the year 1947 in it, that is a special year for all US Air Force veterans.
Darrell B — Google review
The pizza frita were quite good, they were our very first ones. It's really different of a normal pizza, you have to try it at least once (and say goodbye to your summer body afterward) We ordered two arancini were good too.
Vincent V — Google review
In my opinion, this may not be the best fried pizza in Naples, though others might find it quite enjoyable. That said, if you’d like to try fried pizza without waiting in long lines, this place is a convenient option to avoid the crowds. And it would be great to have a wider selection of beers.
Mango R — Google review
This place is a little different than the rest of the pizzerias as they specialize in fried pizzas. The meal is heavier than most places. But the taste is well worth it. Come hungry. Seating is also limited to the sidewalk so keep that in mind. But the staff were polite and made great recommendations.

Exceptional pastry! Dropped by for the sfogliatella, was crispy on the outside, fluffy ricotta filling, and the perfect touch of lemon peel.

Oh, the sfogliatella was SO SO good! Crispy and still warm and lightly flavored! So glad we skipped the other pastry shops nearby and stopped here. No seating though.

Ok, so this was the weirdest food experience in Napoli. read a lot of good things about the place, a "must see". Hahaha there were 2 guys who looked so depressed you thought you'd brighten their day by walking in and buying something. There were about 5 sfogliatelle inside. We asked what fillings they had, they said one (OK, no problem, I like it simple!). One of the guys said the price and took our money. The other one reheated our 3 sfogliatelle and handed them to us. Nor one word, not one smile, no other soul in the place, and their looks almost made me want to apologise for buying the pastries. Eerie. Pastries were nice though.

The restaurant's elegant and modern setting features a display of fresh seafood over ice and walls made up of fish tanks, emphasizing the focus on high-quality ingredients.
Most tasty and fresh seafood we could wish for. Elegant ambience and competent staff, which was sometimes a little reserved though.

It's expensive, but absolutely worth it. One of the best dinners of my life, and definitely my favorite oyster (which of course is an Italian varietal). They heavily focus on raw seafood and knock it out of an arena. Extremely elegant, bespoke service. Our waiter/bartender even recommended a speakeasy for after. Go. Just go.

We had a reservation for 7:30, but they weren't even open when we showed up 10 minutes late. Their system didn't have us on the list, so we had to show them the email confirmation. Turns out this place doesn't open until 8 pm. Anyway, this place is somewhat expensive and their risotto isn't as good as others, but we came here for the crudo and that was amazing. Overall we had a nice experience, the services got spotty once other customers arrived though.

Most things is good and fine except the ‘grilled seafood’ on the menu which was just a bowl of mussels and clams. So beware if anyone is ordering it

Well located with a nice terrace this restaurant offers excellent seafood and an amazing wine menu (over 100 bottles). We had delicious fish tartare and carpaccio followed by tuna tataki and gambas risotto with caviar. Simply perfect!

Very nice ambiance and service. The food is very good, fresh fish and quality ingredients. Very creative on the food, maybe sometime a bit too much (typically for fish carpaccio, the fish layer should be thiner like the classical way), but sometimes it pays like for desserts or pasta - so continue.

Takeout Restaurant
Vomero Fried Food is a must-visit spot in Naples, renowned for its delectable fried offerings. Although I couldn't indulge during my visit, the buzz around this place is hard to ignore. Diners rave about their unique spaghetti fritters and delightful donuts, all served with a friendly touch from the staff who are accommodating even to those with limited Italian skills. The prices are incredibly affordable, making it easy to enjoy multiple bites without breaking the bank.
Accept no substitutes - but maybe hang back until the fried dough balls arrive hot from the fryer. It's sensationally delicious, fat and salt and fried goodness with a little bit of vegetables (or mozzarella for the vegans out there), you're not going to exactly lose weight with it, but you might live forever

Tried 20 different frittatine around Napoli. I was really looking forward to try it in the "best" fried food establishment in Napoli that was also reviewed by the famous Gambero Rosso. First visit: quite good, crunchy and still juicy, service neutral Second visit: 2 of 3 were burned, dark and dry frittatina, service quite unfriendly and unmotivated. Third visit: now all three were burned, too dark, bitter, dry, not warm inside, smelling like old oil and not crunchy, service again completely unmotivated Been there, done it. There are so many good shops for a good frittatina in Napoli. Stop loosing time and money here in this trap.

As well, we had a platter to share with different type of fish and the way it was presented and prepared was so masterful! Located in the vibrant Sanita neighborhood, this ever-popular pizzeria was opened by Ciro Oliva's great-grandmother in 1951. The pizzas here are described as divine, with high-quality ingredients such as mozzarella and tomatoes sourced from Naples.
I guess I was lucky and was seated whenever I arrived at the time of my reservation. I did book outside peak hours which was deliberate as I knew more chance that I’d get a table. For Naples it probably is expensive, but it’s become quite famous so that’s to be expected. For me the food and the really nice garden justified the price, and it’s still way cheaper than I’d pay at home. I had diavola (against the waiters recommendation which seemed to surprise him 😂) and it really was delicious with an incredible texture. I even ate most of the crust which I never do. Tomato salad was really good and the house red was perfect, although at 10 euros it was very expensive for Naples. I’d absolutely go back but would always choose to go off peak for a more chill experience.

We were here for lunch….the food is good with different presentation from others. We tried the tasting menu: few appetizers, 3 different pizza slides and 1 dessert. Since it was tasting menu and since they have more than one dessert I was disappointed to get only one, so when I paid I gave my feedback and promptly they offered to us Torta Caprese(very good). I do not give 5 stars because there are few things that I did not like: the music was not appropriate for a typical Napoletano Restaurant since it was more for a launch bar. Personally, I find the use of latex gloves by waiters when serving food to be unhygienic. It often makes me think that they might not wash their hands as frequently, since the gloves can give a misleading sense of hygiene. Moreover, I was concerned by the lack of a tablecloth or even paper napkins on the marble table, and by the fact that the cutlery rested on a metal stand. It raised doubts about whether these stands are sanitized or replaced between customers, which made me feel somewhat nervous and not entirely at ease.

Pizzeria offers well-made pizzas with quality ingredients and a distinct wood-fired character. The Margherita had a balanced tomato-to-mozzarella ratio and a pleasantly chewy crust with light charring, while the yellow tomato variation brought a sweeter, more nuanced flavor. Service was adequate, and although I opted for takeaway rather than dining in, the order was prepared on time and packaged well. Overall, a solid choice for pizza lovers looking for authentic flavors, though the experience was more about the food than the atmosphere.

Pizzeria Concettina au Tre Santi is amazing! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and passionate. The pizzas are absolutely delicious — light, airy dough topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite tastes like true Neapolitan tradition. This is hands down one of the best pizza experiences you can have. Highly recommended!

Although I’d say I am a pizza expert for a variety of reasons, judging pizza more than other foods is a matter of preference. This pizzeria was recommended by a Cardiology colleague from Napoli. I enjoyed my pizza Margarita very much. The tomato salad and stuffed zucchini flower were excellent. The other dishes also looked great. For example their table-side prepared Caprese salad was a special spectacle. They stock non-alcoholic beer which was tasty.

We had reserved a table for 4 people, when we arrived we were not on the list... We went in, there were still free seats. We started ordering and asked the waiter to recommend something traditional from Naples. He recommended us to get 3 pizzas and share them. We said ok and he recommended 3 pizzas that we had not thought of. They were delicious! The wine was very good. The prices were quite high but the Michelin stars say everything about the place.

You can sitt outside in the backyard. Very good and perfect baked pizza margarita. Would recommend to start with a shared sott’ e Ngopp. Ask for a doggy bag if you can’t finish the pizza.

The place itself was nice with plants around the tables, but that was the only nice thing about the place. It seems like the place is squeezing in as many tables as possible to make more money. We got a table right where the staff were standing and keeping an eye on the restaurant. We had 3-4 staff standing 20cm from our table and looking at us. They also kept walking into our chairs because there was no space at all. Not particularly romantic or nice. We asked if we could move tables, but we weren't allowed to. One of the staff was watching videos with music on his phone right next to me, which describes how close they were standing during our entire dinner. Then there are the pizzas. It's a completely crazy price level. 18 euros for a bad pizza. All in all, a really bad dining experience.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the city, Spazio Nea is a captivating blend of art, culture, and social interaction. Established in 2011 by Luigi Solito, this unique venue harmoniously combines a publishing house, an art gallery, and a charming café. Located near iconic landmarks like the National Archaeological Museum and the Academy of Fine Arts, it offers visitors an enchanting outdoor space along the historic staircase of Brau Library.
Came here for a few drinks, and it is such a lovely little place, tucked away, using a beautiful terrace and some stairs. Inside is a little gallery, which gives it obviously a cool touch. The drinks list is extensive. The cocktails, as well as wines we've tasted, were very nice. You get a very big snack patter with your first order of drinks, which kinds of make you stay for the next round ;) The service is a little slow, you have to get their attention rather than theat they come and ask you if you need anything else. However, this is a beautiful bar and had quite a lot of other nice places around, perfect for a little bar hopping. It's also pretty quiet and away from any noisy roads. It's a little sanctuary from the hustle and bustle

The staff is super friendly, professional and english speaking. You can enjoy a seat here at the end of the big piazza so it is not super crowdy or loud but you still get some of the atmosphere. We had some cocktails here one evening. They are a bit pricier for the neighbourhood, but the cocktails are very well done. And you get some cool snacks to go with them. Would recommend going here!

Great atmosphere, lots of outdoor tables, super good service! I generally place this bar in my top bars in the city. The only negative thing is, being in Naples, I would appreciate a more rich aperitivo, as we were served some chips only (not even fresh I think). Other than that, the place is great.

Fantastic cocktails with superb tastes. The place is very beautiful because of the plants and the lights they have used to decorate it. Very kind people and their smiles and hospitality fill your heart. All in one this was one of the best places and experiences I had in Naples and I will certainly visit it again.

Modern style art cafe within an historic building. Everything is top quality and a refreshing change from the formality of the traditional Italian cafes. A nice place to relax with coffee and pastry daytime or an aperative in the evening.

My Favourite spot that I’ve discovered in Naples. It’s a gorgeous gem hidden away. I can only talk about the cafe area and food - the courtyard is gorgeous - it’s a beautiful gem for sitting with a coffee/drink and reading. I’ve visited three times so far. Cappuccino with oat milk is delicious, the lovely guy gave me little biscuits too. I returned for coffee a 2nd time. And my third time I had lunch - bruschetta (so tasty) and a mixed salad which was fresh and just what I was after as a healthy option. Portion size perfect too, served with bread. Peach / lemon ice tea is divine here. Each time I’ve visited I’ve had a wonderful warm feeling from the staff. The courtyard seating area really is a little gem away from the busy streets. Highly recommend. Would make a perfect catching up with friends spot / but also ideal if you’re solo and just want to read or write - love this place so much REVISITED 2025 - loved this spot so much. It’s a perfect place.

Trattoria da Nennella is a must-visit spot in Naples, known for its lively atmosphere and hearty Neapolitan homestyle dishes. The restaurant is famous for its cheesy pasta with potatoes and roasted meat.
Trattoria da Nennella in Napoli is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that combines authentic food with a vibrant cultural atmosphere. The restaurant offers a fixed menu at either €13 or €17, which is excellent value considering the generous portions and the variety of dishes you get to enjoy. For the price, the quality and quantity are outstanding, making it a great choice if you want to try traditional Neapolitan flavors without spending too much. The restaurant opens in the evening at exactly 6:30 or 6:45 pm, and when we arrived there was already a long queue outside. This shows just how popular the place is, both with locals and tourists. It’s definitely worth waiting for, but I would recommend arriving a little early to secure your spot. The atmosphere is unlike any other restaurant I’ve been to. It is loud, energetic, and full of life—if you enjoy sound and a lively dining experience, you will love it here. The staff often create noise and chant in ways that reflect Italian culture and tradition. While I couldn’t fully understand all of it, it added to the fun and unique vibe of the place. Overall, excellent food, generous portions, and unbeatable value!
TOMSON J — Google review
Food is very mediocre. However, a bottle of wine was $6. The atmosphere is super fun. After the meals are served, the staff starts singing and dancing and you get to party along. Over all, go for a good time and definitely not the food.
Mahsa M — Google review
I love the atmosphere here. It makes everyone so happy dining here. They got music, everyone would dance between the dishes. Basically a lunch time party. For the food, it not very outstanding and the portion is quite small. But the meal is affordable. Make you feel like eating fast food. If you seated at the basement like me, you probably can’t join or see the party going. So make sure your seat is the best one

I guess I wasn’t sure what to expect from the reviews when I got here. The unique nature of this restaurant gives it 3 stars. It’s a very small reasonable menu to digest, and the prices are fixed. Both locals and tourists come here. They serve dinner, then dance on the main floor. The downside for the tourists is that they sing catchy new songs in Italian, so you don’t really know what they’re saying. The food is also *okay* not outstanding in terms of quality. As others have mentioned, come here for the experience not the food.

To begin with a boy who is taking a list at entarance , really very “antipathetic.” I havent seen a person impulsive like him all of my life. After waiting one hour , finally I am inside. I am exciting because I am thinking about very delicious foods. But unfortunately it is not. I ate pasta patata , eggplants and napoliten meatballs. I am disappointed about Pasta patata , eggplants is not so tasty. Only meatballs avarage. A french boy who was eating next table asked me “sorry, are you from Naples, I told no, and he continued I did not understand why this restaurant is famous. I am dissapointed.” The dialogue summarizes the taste of this restaurant. If you have time to waste , go and wait there about 1.30 hours
Fyodor D — Google review
Came here because a friend recommended it and it did not disappoint. You have to make a reservation. This place is crazy popular and I understand why. The food was great. The service was excellent. The waiters dance on the tables at the end of your dining experience if you wait long enough. I didn't appreciate a toilet man asking for tips but other than that they were great. Get the pasta with potatoes. It's filthy good.
Elizabeth M — Google review
Trattoria da Nennella is more than just a restaurant—it’s a true Naples experience. We had to wait a little before getting in, but the anticipation only built the excitement, and it was absolutely worth it. The setup is simple: a fixed menu where you choose a first dish, second dish, and a side. We tried the pasta and potatoes as our first dish and the meatballs with tomato sauce as the second, with a classic side. Everything tasted authentically homemade, with bold flavors that instantly transport you to a Neapolitan kitchen. The meatballs were tender and rich in sauce, while the pasta and potatoes were hearty, comforting, and full of character. Still, the real highlight is the atmosphere. It’s lively, warm, and buzzing with energy—you don’t just eat here, you feel the spirit of Naples. Between the authentic food and the unforgettable vibe, Trattoria da Nennella deserves its reputation.

Pizzas were great and service was fast. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that the sides we ordered were terrible. The zucchini flowers lacked flavour (besides the taste of old fryer oil), and the mozzarella and tomato salad was not good (mainly due to the baffling inclusion of iceberg lettuce and corn).

OMG! During my weeks stay in Napoli, have to say, this little hidden gem, off the main stretch in Toledo was a pefect find. Weather was very stormy so decided to eat while the rain passed. Have to say, the Pizza was the nicest Pizza I have had in my entire life. I chose one at random accompanied with a bier and have to say, tasty and delicious is an understatement. I couldn't eat it all it was that good, but i would highly recommend this little restaurant because its a family run place, the owner is very passionate and this can be seen from his personality and charm when he is in the dining area. I saw others eating steak and pasta which all looked great as well, but for me, its all about the PIZZAAAAAAAA!!

We came here for late lunch while exploring the Center area of Napoli. We both ordered new for us: Nuovo Margarita Genovese And Sparkling water Espresso First, we found out that it’s the typical approach in Napoli to have a table/cover charge. Overall I think we paid more or less 35€ And we were even surprised by the end of our espresso - they gave us for free. We thought the servers and service were good, and my Genovese meat could’ve had more, and I’m pleased. As for the pizza, my husband enjoyed it. Happy to recommend 👍

First, no ridiculous queues for lunch which is a big plus. Second, very friendly service (which is sometimes rare in Naples!). Third, prices are very reasonable. Finally, the margarita pizza was first class Napolitano style .

This restaurant is located in a small street, very cozy and cute ambience. But I would say do not be fooled by this. I’m posting this after a disappointed dinner and after my sibling fell ill 12 hours later. We ordered a gnocchi and penne pasta, both veg. We had bread come in because of the pasta and I noticed how doughy it was. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like it on the insides but that wasn’t good. Towards the end of my meal, I noticed meat pieces in my pasta settled at the bottom. When i raised this to the waiter, she said it’s prochestto and denied it’s meat. But I could clearly see that it’s meat. The restaurant wasn’t even sorry about any of this. And in this bill split up, they charge you for water and a cover charge for the ambiance. The waiter asks you to tip her which is new to me here in Europe. I noticed the staff were a bit rude to other customers. My sibling fell ill 12 hours later and it seemed like food poisoning. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We got anchovies pizza with cheese olives basil & capers (really good 4/5), fried anchovies (5/5), grilled calamari (our fav) and a mixed green burratta tomato salad (3/5). The service was great. There are plenty of seatings inside (2 locations) and out.
Goooneralia — Google review
I have never met a ruder waiter Pizza was good and the beer cold and we were happy to find a free table on a terrace in a rainy day of May. But we waited enormously for our order to be taken. Similarly, customers were waiting at nearby tables, while some who arrived later were immediately served. There is no logic. The head waiter is very rude and throws the change on the table with disdain. Not only to us, but also to others. So that all you have to do is to amuse yourself, amazed by his rudeness. I must add that the other members of the staff, those who clean the table or collect the dishes, are kind and smiling.

Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria - Santa Lucia is a top-notch pizzeria located just outside the center of Naples. It offers excellent contemporary pizza and unforgettable fritti, with the added bonus of gluten-free options. The restaurant is well-maintained and has separate ovens for traditional and gluten-free pizzas. The staff is known for being extremely kind and professional, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Just shared the most amazing meal. We came for the gluten free menu, and it did not disappoint! We had the suppli, and pasta for starters , both GF. The pasta was absolutely sensational, every bite it just got tastier. We then had the folded pizza with simple ham and cheese filling. This was also extremely tasty. Finished with a ricotta filled orange flavoured dessert, everything was wonderful. The waiters are very friendly and accommodating, especially Patrizio!!! The restaurant is lively and can be busy as there is a takeaway service available also. Such a treat to enjoy Gluten Free pizza! Well done 👏

During our 12 days in Italy, we had a lot of great pizza—but the best, hands down, was at Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria in Santa Lucia. I ordered the Bianca salsa with truffle, and my wife had the Bianca salsa with mushrooms—both were made to absolute perfection, with flavors that still make us smile when we think about them. The service was just as memorable as the food. The staff were warm, funny, and full of energy, joking with us and teaching us how to pronounce Italian words the right way. We had such a fun time talking and laughing with them that it felt more like an evening spent with friends than just a meal out. If you’re in Naples and want incredible pizza with equally incredible people, this is the place to go.

Our cab driver suggested this place on our way to hotel. He said it is the best pizza in the world! If you dont believe me look it up on google. He has won awards. Decided to give it a try. So glad we did! It truly was the best pizza we have ever had and we are from NY we eat our fair share of pizza. We loved it so much we went two nights in a row! Also try the chips they are delicious too! We also enjoyed the wine and dessert. We didnt speak Italian but the waiters and servers were very nice to us and shook our hand to say hello again on the second night. When we left there was a line to get in to eat. We had a very nice night and wish we could fly back just to eat here again!

Beautiful pizzas, nice place! We went in September 2025. Had to wait 20-30 mins for a table. There was no physical menu, you scan a QR code. We had 3 different translations of the dishes which made it a little bit confusing discussing what to order as tourists. A bottle of wine started around €22 and went up from there, which is a bit more expensive than most places we've eaten. Had a rocket salad with buffalo mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes. The cheese was tasty (but a bit rubbery), the tomatoes were excellent, the salad was underwhelming. We also had suppli which were delicious, I definitely recommend them. We each had a pizza, and they were all very high quality and looked so good!

Nice place, decent pizza, service could be better. The place is nice, but the service was so bad that actually turned down the experience. We went there for dinner, we ordered two pizzas. The quality of the pizza is good, nice fermentation and nice toppings. I recommend. We had a historical maegherita, the dough was nice and fluffy on the edges. My wife had one with provola. That was very good. I recommend the place for the pizza, but you can get better service around naples.

this was one of the best pizzas i’ve ever had! the dough is super tasty, crusty on the outside and soft inside, and the flavors are amazing, with super high-quality ingredients. the wine selection is also great, we ordered a local wine with vesuvian grapes and it was the best i’ve ever had - you can truly sense the fruity notes (something that i rarely do for real). the service was average and the atmosphere as well, but the pizza and wine are worth it.

We loved our meal at Diego Vitagliano. We were surprised they had a waiting line as early as 7:30pm. Popular place and deservedly so. Huge pizza menu - it takes awhile to choose one. We ended up with Diablo and Pistache - both excellent. Good service too. And we got our pizzas quickly.

Visited the highly talked-about Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria a few days ago. The restaurant has a clean modern atmosphere and the vibe is great. The pizza was really good authentic Neapolitan style with excellent quality ingredients. It only took about 5 minutes for the food to arrive once I was finally able to order. The only downside was the service. I was alone and had to wait over 15 minutes just to get someone’s attention to place my order. I tried raising my hand several times but the servers seemed to look over and then walk away. Overall despite the slow service it was a great experience and definitely worth visiting for the pizza itself.

Bakery
Poppella, a family-owned pastry shop established in 1920 and located in the Rione Sanita, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The third generation now manages this renowned establishment, which expanded to a second branch near several famous landmarks. Poppella is known for its signature Fiocco di Neve, a brioche bun filled with secret cream, as well as other delectable treats like Calice di San Gennaro and Bombetta di Toto.
The sweetest experience in Naples! FIOCCO DI NEVE is the bakery original signature dish (and this very branch is where its journey started).

I came across this in a special guidebook about Naples, and on our last day, we went for a little pastry, and I'm glad we did. Tiny little place, the guy sat behind the counter, smoking, asked us if we wanted to try something delicious, and then he just handed us a fresh little bun filled with pork and egg. It was piping hot and so delicious. We had two little pastries as well. We sat in this very simple family run place and had a little piece feel of what naples is about. Wouldn't travel across town, but it was an 800m walk from our place and well worth it.

Wonderful little bakery with a huge assortment of pastries. The snowflake was our favorite but everything that we tried was fantastic!

Nestled in the heart of Naples, "Poppella Pasticceria" stands as a timeless testament to the art of sweet confections. With roots tracing back to the year 1920, this quaint and storied shop has been enchanting locals and visitors alike for generations. During our unforgettable holiday in Naples, we were fortunate enough to have stumbled upon this hidden gem, thanks to a recommendation from a friendly local. The selection of treats was impressive, offering a mix of traditional and contemporary delights that catered to various tastes. The air was filled with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked sweets, an olfactory symphony that beckoned us further into this confectionery wonderland. The sweets were undeniably fresh and scrumptious, leaving us with a delightful burst of Italian flavors in every bite. The pastries were tender, the cakes moist, and the chocolates velvety smooth. Each treat offered a delightful dance of textures and flavors, leaving us in awe of the craftsmanship behind these delectable creations. However, amidst the enchanting sweetness, we encountered a few hiccups that dampened the experience. The shop, understandably popular, was bustling with eager customers, resulting in an overcrowded atmosphere that made maneuvering a bit challenging. The ordering process proved to be somewhat chaotic, with the enthusiastic crowd adding to the confusion. Moreover, the staff appeared to be overwhelmed by the constant rush, leading to a less than friendly service. Although we understood the demands of running such a popular establishment, the lack of warmth in the interactions was a minor disappointment amidst the sweetness that enveloped us. Nonetheless, any bitterness we may have felt from the service was quickly forgotten with each subsequent bite of the divine treats. The allure of "Poppella Pasticceria" was undeniable, and the unforgettable flavors lingered on our palates, leaving us with cherished memories of this sweet haven in Naples. In conclusion, "Poppella Pasticceria" is an experience that transcends time, offering a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of Italy. Despite the minor service shortcomings, the delectable treats served at this charming shop are an absolute delight for any food lover, especially those with an insatiable sweet tooth.

Strange place.. as soon as we entered - very old guy just put some bread in our hands, then we tried to ask for some pastry and instead of 2 pieces - he put double-triple amount of everything. In the end he charged us with 10 euros. We threw all this bakery in the bin, because it was not good and some of it were not fresh(

Italian restaurant
Ristorante Europeo Mattozzi is a charming and cozy restaurant located in an antique-filled space. The walls are adorned with copper cookware, old paintings, and ceramic dishes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's situated near historic landmarks like Piazza Bovio and the Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant offers classic Neapolitan cuisine, including pasta, pizza, grilled seafood plates, stuffed fried zucchini flowers, and signature peach bellinis made with fresh pureed peaches.
Probably the best meal we had in Napoli - the photos don’t do it justice. Everything was cooked perfectly with so much flavour! The pasta Genovese was a standout (as was the lemon tart).
Jodie W — Google review
I liked very much the “timelessness” of the place. Very much Italy in the 1960s! Equally, the food is nice and simple yet very tasty. Where else to eat “pasta e patate” if not here!
SF S — Google review
Group of 5 of us went for lunch on our last day in Naples. Arrived right on 12:30 as they opened and they welcomed us with a great table. Impeccable service, very kind waiters even though we don’t speak Italian. Delicious food and great traditional interior.
Sian P — Google review
This is a typical Neapolitan restaurant, and it’s plenty of Neapolitan customers, which means you can find here the real, and well done, traditional recipes. You can find on the walls a lot of pictures telling the long story of the restaurant, which was started about 100 years ago and is now at the third generation managed by the same family. There is attention during the service. Appetizers with buffalo mozzarella, eggplant parmigiana and fried zucchini flowers, then special soups with beans and seafood or chickpeas and chestnuts, then pasta alla genovese or puttanesca with amberjack and capers. To finish babà with rum and caprese chocolate cake. All served on timely manner for a table of 10 people. The price is right.
Emanuele B — Google review
Time out wrote “Run by the charming Alfonso Mattozzi, who greets all his customers like old friends at the door” and yes, this is the welcome you can expect if you are Italian. However if you are foreign, despite all your best efforts to be polite and attempt to speak in Italian you will be met with surly, contemptuous waiting staff who maintain a steady level of rudeness throughout. Having said that the food was the best we had in Naples and the restaurant itself was very nice.
Chloe C — Google review
Nice place with the spirit of Napoli, good quality food but EXAGGERATEDLY highly priced. The owner and the waiters were so kind, we got offered an appetizer to endure hunger waiting our turn to be seated. But nothing is for free; as a matter of fact, all the kindness was to justify the highly marked-up prices and after a theatrical generous discount, we ended up paying 60€ for a shared entrée, a shared main dish and a shared dessert. 🤔 Ps: We were lucky they had a typical band playing Neapolitan traditional songs at the end of the evening and it was enjoyable.
Boutros L — Google review
Still has the classy Italian atmosphere which doesn’t appear a lot these days. The owners are there, you feel how much they give importance to customers, service, quality. Must try when you are in Naples. The food is delicious too. We missed some traditions so I’m writing down for you to not miss it. Order a pizza to share at the beginning even if you are 2, small mozzarella and tomatoes to share, fried plate or only some for ex. Fried zucchini flowers to taste and then primi piatti for yourselves and if there is still a place a secondi piatti to fell the restaurant at most. Enjoy!
Dilara H — Google review
Most of the bad reviews you'll read are from Americans expecting the staff to crawl on their hands and knees to welcome them. If you make an effort to say hello, please and thank you in Italian they will be more than nice. I do not care if the server frowns, he was very professional, and brought us delicious food. Speaking of the food, I had the bean and cuttlefish soup and it was out of this world. Naples has good seafood but this was the best I had on my trip. The pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality of the food and the comfort of the place. You can tell it's worth going because locals eat there and recommend it. Grazzie mille !

Hmm… how can I describe. I should not have read the reviews before dinner. But the pizza and the fried calamari and shrimp is one of the worst I had in Italy. Pity for the nice terrace. Questionable staff. Rude welcome. And when they see you don’t leave a tip they are not bothered to answer goodbye of course. I don’t recommend.

La Focaccia is an Italian restaurant that specializes in pizza. The pizzas here are delicious and crispy, and they make a great snack or meal. They also have lots of other Italian dishes on the menu, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.
A local place to eat some pizza slices. I ordered 2 different pizza slices. Each slice was 2,5€. Water 1,5€. You can sit and there is no extra charge for that. As always, ask always for the price before ordering the pizza in order to avoid price confusions. These pizza al taglio places are frequented by locals. Don’t expect your best pizza ever, it is a regular pizza to get on your stomach when you are hungry.

Vera Pizza Napoletana is a renowned pizzeria in San Paolo, Brazil, known for its delicious pizza and excellent service. The restaurant is conveniently located in the historical center, just minutes away from the cathedral. Visitors can enjoy generous portion sizes at affordable prices. The menu offers a variety of options including caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella and a unique fried calzone that's large enough to satisfy two people. Additionally, the restaurant provides electronic menus with German translations for international guests.
Great little pizza place in the middle of the historical centre, 5 minutes away from the cathedral. The prices are low, the portion sizes are huge. The caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella was great, but the fried calzone (yes, it’s an entire calzone, fried) stole the show. Fair warning, it is massive, two people can get stuffed on it. All in all - recommended.
PERSONALINFO N — Google review
Great pizza, but the buffala mozzarella was fried on the pizza, which was a bit strange. Maybe some like that, but I prefer it fresh and white on my pizza. The yellow tomato paste was amazing, though. Service was good, but that’s the minimum I expect for €2/person service fee.
Balint T — Google review
It’s an absolute tourist scam if you’re not careful. We were not very hungry today so ordered two simple pizzas 5€ and 6.5€ each. The server decides to make it “special for us” and wouldn’t tell us what he’s doing (despite of asking 3 times. He just said, it’s a surprise) Eventually brings out the worst food we’ve had during our stay: a folded pizza? With two pieces of burrata (really bad) and tomatoes. Eventually, comes back with a bill where each pizza is 15€. Even when confronted, he just says “pftttt, it’s expensive” and moves on. It’s been 10 days in France and Italy (and we’ve had meals costing 3x than this, but fully deserved) and this just ruins the whole experience. On top of that, we were seated next to owner’s table and all the time she kept listening to videos on her phone on full volume.

(Translated by Google) An unconvincing place. Evidently they wanted to give it a glamorous effect given how it was renovated but the result is disappointing. In fact, when we happen to pass by it is always quite empty. The staff in general is apathetic, in particular the pastry and cashier clerk, who pushes sales and pressures the customer. If he finds the person who is unable to free himself or say a clear and peremptory no, he makes him buy the whole bank. You are not at the market, although close. Rather cramped environment. At the checkout there isn't even a courtesy tray to place the change on, on the other hand there is a notepad and the cashier's mobile phone. Did you want to give an elite allure?...so don't be street vendors! Let's say that it didn't work out well... it doesn't meet the expectations of those who thought of investing in this way. Parking is obviously non-existent.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful and, above all, delicious discovery. I'm originally from Portici, but I've lived in the north for decades, and when I return to my homeland, I enjoy all the wonders and delights that this stunning region offers. If you find yourself in Portici, perhaps to visit the Bourbon Palace and its prized botanical garden, or if you're visiting the Pietrarsa Museum to see where the first railway was built and where Italy's first locomotive, rail, and rolling stock factory (the Royal Bourbon Factory) was established, you can't miss Pasticceria Mosè. Located in the center of Portici near Piazzale Brunelleschi, you can enjoy excellent pastries, and in the morning I highly recommend their delicious crescent-shaped pastry filled with refined custard and black cherry. I also invite you to try their delicious and richly varied mignon (small pastries), and wash it all down with a good coffee. Of course, in the morning, the selection will also be extensive, offering a wide variety of other wonderful options to delight even the most discerning palates, but the crescent-shaped pastry with black cherry cream is a specialty I highly recommend. Finally, the warm welcome, courtesy, and friendliness of the staff is another significant asset that I'm happy to highlight. You'll be pampered by their sweetness and can enjoy the warm, traditional Neapolitan welcome. (Original) Una meravigliosa e soprattutto gustosa scoperta. Pizza Takeout
After considering several options, including Fratelli di Bufala and Pizzeria Sorbillo, we settled on Starita. We visited Concettina ai Tre Santi and were not disappointed. We tried the Margherita and Il Sole della Sanita pizzas, both of which were exceptional. The ingredients were top-notch, with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes from Naples. The crust was fluffy and delicious, while the yellow tomatoes on Il Sole della Sanita were a true delight.
We knew this place is going to be busy so we got there just as they opened for dinner service. The staff were great to help us with our order and the food came promptly. The pizzas are the best we've ever eaten in our lives, even the crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious 😋 oh and the cherry tomatoes with the fried pizza dough for starters was incredible. We had to order it again after eating our pizzas. Another favourite were the zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese, crusted with bread crumbs then fried to a crisp are heavenly. We went a little overboard and also ordered the baked cheese with cicoria but that too was yummy to pass up 😋

Heaven on a plate… we ordered from the gourmet list, the S.T.G. Locals spot, seemed like we were only tourists. It was recommendation from a local that worked at our hotel and it was spot on. This highly rated restaurant does not disappoint. The portions were huge, but somehow we were not stuffed. My wife ate her entire pizza, and I finished my fried Calzone (highly recommend both.) Service was impeccable. Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching.

Incredible history… the pizza is right up there, but a standout is the service and atmosphere. Some other highly rated pizza restaurants in Napoli have slightly better pizza, but can’t beat the atmosphere at Brandi… deserves a visit for all pizza pilgrims… and the best thing is its very reasonably priced .

The oldest pizzeria in Naples, but there is no corresponding refinement - character - decoration, characteristic of Italian culture... very average. Nice food, plenty of choices, pure Italian flavors, fresh ingredients. The staff is polite, smiling but slow in service (maybe it's because of the high traffic. I think it matters where you sit, for example, not in the basement, not on the first floor...I suggest the ground floor). You will find many local patrons as well as tourists. I highly recommend it for food... you just need a little patience for the service and everything is fine.

My partner told me this place was the origin of margherita pizza so we had to try it. Despite of arriving Naples at 6pm the same day we made an effort to head to Brandi which was a 18 min subway ride from Naples terminal and our hotel. The atmosphere was lovely with music playing, outdoor seating and people passing by. When we asked for the table the old server was quite rude. He told us to wait in the corner and was looking annoyed. I don't know... He might be racist. Not much asian around. He was nice to other tables 🙄 anyways, the food was amazing. Fresh, light, flavorful. The octopus salad was lacking taste a little bit but I like the sauce. The table was very slanted which was kind of awkward. The younger server was nicer and explained the food and drinks. It was still a good experience trying the origin of pizza. I'd recommend this place but service needs to improve. Pizza was definitely better than Rome. It's Naples after all 😄

Busy place - in the middle of a popular tourist stops, the history of a place responsible for creating Margherita pizza also brings in some people (🙋‍♀️) Possibility to sit in or under a parasol outside. The pizza menu is not big but you don't mess with the perfection (Margherita) We ordered plain Margherita and mushroom Margherita - both smelled amazing, like a fireplace in the middle of the forest. I would not call it the best pizza in the Napoli, but definitely still delicious and worth trying.

We nearly missed our train because of this pizza, and it was absolutely worth it. We arrived before opening, so there was no wait for a table, and the food came out quickly. The pizza was unforgettable — I still dream about it!

I highly recommend this place, the Margherita pizza is the best we ever had, the seafood pasta is not to be missed. The live music made it an unforgettable time. The best dinner experience we had in Napoli. The service was on point and the prices so cheap for the quality that makes you want to order the whole menu. Try to make a reservation if you want to sit outside.
