Found this by chance. Lovely snack for a break in a cosy street side setting. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Waiting time was 10min. But within that time, owner found us a seat so we sat to enjoy the food. Fried but not oily and tasty. Couldn't help but to buy a beer (Italian beer of course) which complimented the food well.

had the o cuop e mare and it's good! it came with generous serving of different seafood and they're really nicely fried. it was just lightly battered so it's not so doughy. there are fried doughs which are just normal tho. however, felt that the service can be better. the staff was not so smiley 😅and he asked us to eat at one table although there's nobody else other than us.
A small food shop serving cuoppo food at the center of Napoli. The biggest issue is the service: one person to take the orders and also prepare the dishes. This can cause many issues, as there is no name or order number kept. When they call just the name of the dish anyone can claim it and this can cause delays and disagreements.
The food is fine for fried stuff and very tasty. There are no seats though and this is a bit problematic if you just want to enjoy your food relaxed.

Delicious crispy fried baby squid and also fried anchovies, the only thing I didn’t like was the dough balls, they were oily, and I think kind of stale but other than that the seafood is amazing crispy fresh and customer service was great! Probably the best cuoppo I’ve had in Italy
Was there ten minutes ago and despite being open with people sitting outside and the guy is still working, as I asked where to order, he said they are closed and they will open tomorrow at 11 AM. I believed him despite the official closing time on google maps is after 30 minutes from now at 20:30. I was walking down the street 10 minutes later and found him serving new customers with seafood cups, the same thing I wanted. Now I am wondering whether I wasn’t a good customer enough for him! Totally disappointed!
Enjoyed the il cuoppo di mare (fried seafood mix), but not so much the included 2 pcs of fried dough. Overall, I was a happy customer. Glad we were able to squeeze this in as a snack before leaving Naples.
Typical street food, nice fries, road side sitting, the seafood fries (o cuppo mare*) was great. Wait time about 5 minutes. Prices are fair 1-10 euros💷 . Not quite a 'meal' but good for a quick bite.

Cuori di Sfogliatella is a renowned bakery and cafe located just outside the station, offering a variety of traditional sweets including their flagship product, the well-made and balanced sfogliatelle. These pastries come in two types: sfogliatella riccia, characterized by thin, flaky layers of pastry dough shaped into a cone or clam-like form, and sfogliatella frolla.
This is a perfect place to pop into before and after your train/bus journey. The cakes in the fridges all look amazing. You can get a fresh coffee and have it at the bar like a local or sit outside in the hustle and bustle and watch the world go by. I had a warm sfogliatella that I’ve wanted to try for a long while, the Ragu… it didn’t disappoint.
The lovely lady that served us spoke broken English and was extremely helpful, my Italian failed me when I was asked a question, essentially did I want it hot or cold 😂.
Anyway, I’d definitely recommend a call in if you’re around.

Absolutely incredible sfogliatella! We stopped by Cori di Sfogliatelle near Piazza Garibaldi by the train station and were blown away. We tried the pistachio, baci, and chocolate — all were fresh, rich, and bursting with flavor. The texture was perfect, crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Honestly, the best sfogliatelle we've ever had. A must-visit if you're in Naples!
We didn't dine at this specific venue, but did grab breakfast and snacks at the branches in the Terminus station and Garibaldi square.

The shop is in a great spot and right by the terminal. Visually, it’s very appealing. Clean, modern, and well-presented, it draws you in right away.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the setting. Staff were noticeably slow to serve, even though the shop wasn’t particularly busy at the time. It made the experience feel a bit frustrating, especially if you're short on time before a train or flight.
As for the pastries: decent, but unremarkable. They looked good in the display but didn’t offer much in terms of flavor or freshness. Not bad, just not memorable.
A convenient stop thanks to its location, but don’t expect much beyond that.

Great selection of sweet and savory sfogliatella! A bit pricey and usually crowded, but the fast turnover means pastries come out fresh from the oven all the time. Perfect for a sweet treat or light breakfast by the train station. Coffee is excellent too!

We had a very nice selection of dishes and thoroughly enjoyed it. We visited in the morning and most of the items were freshly made. The pista and classic Baba were simply amazing.
They also have a washroom to use.

It's a small fast food, but it was exceptional, plus it was really affordable, only 4 euros for the classica.
The people who work there are very energetic, smiling and friendly as well.
The service is fast and the pizza fritta is so hot you'll burn your mouth trying to eat it haha.

It feels like a shop is run by a family. Warm and homie feeling about this place. The classic pizza is super satisfying. Thin but chewy crust was surprisingly good. The price €4 cant justify this quality. I would love to have it again here if possible.
I walked upto the small corner shop that sells pizza fritta (friend pizza). The staff speaks English and is friendly. It usually takes 3-4 mins for your pizza to get ready, unless there is a queue. Fried pizza sounds heavy but it is worth trying and isn’t that heavy to finish.

This was a true Napolitana pizza experience with exception dough work and tasty flavours for both the tomato and white based options that were chosen. Ingredients done well and a friendly family atmosphere. Fantastic dinner spot.
Had Napoletana with Salsiccia, Friarielli and Provola, it was simply delicious and felt well fed, price is very good and service is great too, you can sit by the table and watch life goes by with music playing in a background which makes it even better, grazie mille.

Tandem - Via Paladino is a cozy trattoria in Naples that offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is known for its rich ragù sauce, which is the highlight of their menu. We came in a bit before closing, totally starving, and the staff welcomed us so kindly—saying if we made it in 20 minutes, they could still serve us homemade pasta. It was such a funny and friendly moment! The food was really good, especially the pasta. The lasagna was a bit cold, but understandable given the time. Super nice staff and cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back on our next trip to Napoli (earlier next time)!

Was worried with them having so many sites in Naples it might be a bit of a tourist trap but it wasn't and the food was brilliant!
We had maybe a 10 minute wait for a table in the evening on a Monday.
We were told when ordering that the starters were to share between 2, we ordered one each anyway and they were huge! But so tasty we could help but finish them but honestly one starter between two is more han enough
We had the deep fried lasagna and he fried basket to start, both were great and we had two portions of the ragu with ricotta as our mains again fantastic. The staff were really welcoming and I would strongly recommend coming here to eat as it was brilliant.
I wish we'd saved room for dessert as if it was as good as the other two courses it would have been amazing
Fantastic place for authentic, slow-cooked Neapolitan ragù! We were seated (but it took forever though) and tried the Rigatoni alla Genovese and Lasagna al Ragù, plus the Tiramisu. I personally loved everything—rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.
Warning: The dishes are incredibly heavy (as authentic ragù should be), and my wife found the rich, slow-cooked flavor profile was not to her taste. A top spot if you appreciate deeply savory, traditional Italian comfort food.

The best part was that they could speak English, which is a real advantage since this is often a challenge in many cafés in Naples. Funny story. I thought I made a reservation at this location via their WhatsApp. It's my birthday and they were genuinely lovely on the message app. I can't tell you how much I appreciated a warm birthday wish from the team that handles the messages-but! I was wrong and we came to this location that doesn't take reservations at 8pm. They were so understanding and we were seated fairly quickly. The place is intimate which made for lovely conversations with other tables. The staff were awesome. The food was delicious. I had to take most of mine home after generous starters, as well as beautiful olive oil, bread and cheese. Sweet melon and limoncello with the bill was a wonderful touch. Honest review here. We really wanted and expected to be overwhelmed-but we weren't. I've been in Naples studying Italian and we saved Sorbillo for our last week. We arrived early at 5:30 pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately; however, we waited for 15 minutes for our server- he was particularly gruff until I spoke in Italian. The restaurant was not full at all. He was quite attentive afterwards. The house craft beer was good and I liked that it was served in large wine glasses, a bit of class. The prices are very reasonable and it is clear that they use quality ingredients -but, regardless, the pizzas were not sunshine or stars bursting in your mouth as so many reviews seem to suggest. Did we have high expectations, probably based on the reviews -could it have been an off night- maybe. I think the experience is one that many will seek because of the hype. I just wanted to throw out the possibility that it might just be hype. I don't think it would have been worth a long wait for a table.
I now get the hype and honestly it‘s well deserved. The pizzas were delicious and I can say it‘s one of the best in Naples. If you had to prioritize only one Pizza restaurant to go, this is IT! Fried Pizza is definitely one of their specialties but all their other pizzas are also amazing. No misses.
After arriving we gave our names to the lady at the door and they called us in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was not overly crowded or noisy. The pizza was exceptionally tasty. But I’m yet to try my second one so I can give a better opinion 😅 the prices were also surprisingly good for such a famous and central place. The service could’ve been a bit more friendly to match the high quality of the food but I guess nothing is ever perfect. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I’ll be visiting again.

This is antique fried pizza, much like, to me, a big fried empanada with lots of cheese and a little meat. It is made by hand and cooked as you order. It probably took about 5 minutes for our pizza to be made. A delicious, fresh hot margarita for just €6 which we devoured heartedly while sitting across the road spping apperol spritz. What a life! If you're ever in Naples this is certainly a place to check out.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hosts, tour guides, and even AI. We decided to give it a try, but it was a big disappointment.
It started with the staff, who clearly weren’t enjoying their job and definitely weren’t friendly. They snapped their fingers to move us along like cattle.
After a failed first attempt, they finally seated us at an uncleared table, which they started cleaning in front of us.
Drinks were served in plastic cups… the pizza was well below average – even by the standards of countries where pizza isn’t a national dish, let alone for Naples.
The only thing that was acceptable were the prices, though I’m not sure if they were even justified by the quality.
Naples is a city where even the humblest pizzeria can deliver a slice of heaven. Sadly, this establishment proved the exception to that rule. What should have been a celebration of Neapolitan tradition unraveled into the most disappointing dining experience of our week.
The ordeal began with a 20-minute wait outside, tolerable enough, but once seated we languished for another half-hour before a server even approached to take our order. Fifteen more minutes passed before the food arrived, by which point our appetite had given way to frustration.
And then came the real letdown: the Margherita. In the birthplace of this iconic dish, one expects a delicate balance of molten mozzarella, fragrant tomato, and airy crust. Instead, what arrived was a pale imitation—the cheese congealed and rubbery, resisting the very idea of melting. It was a joyless rendition, unworthy of the Neapolitan name.
The fried pizza fared no better. Advertised as being filled with prosciutto or salame, it instead harbored a muddled, offal-like filling that felt both deceptive and unpalatable. In a city where authenticity is sacred, this was a culinary betrayal. And for a restaurant as renowned, plastic glasses were something I have never seen before.
In Naples, mediocrity is rare—but when it appears, it is glaring. This restaurant, regrettably, offered the lowest note in an otherwise harmonious symphony of flavors across the city.
The service was not particularly friendly, at the entrance they just yell and point you in the direction of the table. The dough was kinda bitter. The appetizers were good, but the pizzas were definitely below average for Naples I think they would be average in our country. They charge you a 15% fee for "service". Additionally they got our order wrong. It might have been one of the better pizzerias in the past but definitely not anymore.
The food was very good - but it was a long line and it was not worth it.
We spent 20 minutes getting just one frittatine that was good but not worth the hassle.
To try, I recommend but I would not sit down to eat here.

Waited in a crowded alley dodging cars and vespas for a while waiting for a table. Once we had a table waited 20 minutes to get our order taken. Then another 45 minutes for the two pizzas! Everyone else in the room got theirs before us despite coming later, sometimes maybe seating half an hour after us.
Then hounded for a tip was we were leaving since they clocked us as American.
Asked locals about the place later and everyone said it used to be good.

The service we received was excellent. No denying it. We ordered a pizza to start and it was excellent as well. We both ordered the Genovese pasta and were not blown away by it. It was good but not great. Probably because up to this point, we had had pasta dishes that blew our minds away!
We stumbled upon Umberto’s by chance… and it turned out to be the best dining experience of our entire trip to Naples. 🍝✨ Every bite was a delight, the staff was impeccable, and the atmosphere simply charming. Sfogliate and Sfogliatelle are a delightful Neapolitan treat consisting of paper-thin layers of clam-shaped pastry filled with a luscious mixture of creamy ricotta cheese, sugar, cinnamon, and candied citrus. These labor-intensive pastries come in two versions: riccia (curly) and frolla (shortcrust), with the former being the most popular.
The best coffee I have had in Italy. The pastries are also to magnificent, and the team members are lovely. Will return there, and I highly recommend this institution when visiting Naples!

Great place that sells Sfogliatelle, a typical sweet from Naples. I am from Sicily so I am well acquainted with ricotta in sweets: in this case the ricotta is quite different! They make their sweets with old recipes that were studied in archives and literature. This is an "unexpected" great place and surely will not give you the typical sfogliatella but a VERY GOOD one.
I also suggest heavily the San Patrizia one without ricotta. You'll be blown away by the spices, the cinnamon, the texture, the moist. You would expect a normal frolla to be "dry" without ricotta. Infact, it's remarkable.

If you're craving some Sfogliatella, Naples signature pastry then there's no better place to try it than a bakery named after it. That's basically all they have and they they make them very well. You can try the flaky riccia version or frolla which has a shortbread style crust. Both are very delicious. There's a few tables inside to eat and the cashier was very nice. One thing to note is this cafe is tucked away in little alley off the main street so it's easy to miss.
This place is amazing!! Easily the best sfogliatelle of my life; coming from my home, the heart of NYC’s little Italy, I arrived to Napoli with a passion for this pastry and was prepared to have my mind blown. And I sure did! They have the kindest & most accommodating staff ever, he sat us on the “balcony” seating for photos :) do it right and get an espresso!

Because I’m allergic to dairy, I felt blessed to have a chance to taste the Santa Patrizia Riccia & Frolla, which are completely dairy-free and consist of two types of sweets from Napoli bakery! The Santa Patrizia Riccia is made with puffy pastry, and the Frolla is made with shortcrust. Both are stuffed with a lovely dairy-ree mix of almond, hazelnut and orange zest!
I couldn't believe how tasty they were! Best eating them as soon as they are baked with a lovely espresso made with the moka machine! Supper suggested it is a must-try in Napoli!
Honestly best Sfogliatella I’ve had, warm, crispy, moist and zesty. They did forgot another pastry I asked for so that’s my only complaint and reason it doesn’t get 5 stars.

Such a cozy place. Reservations are required. They were nice enough to make room for us although we didn't have one. Highly recommend as it's also a little hidden and not in the busy loud area.
We stayed here for dinner. The place is fully booked so you should make a reservation in advance. Fortunately we still got a free spot the same day a couple of hours later. The food was amazing, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the octopus was really soft inside, and the ragu was probably the best I've ever had. The service is also excellent, our order was taken fast and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The prices are very reasonable. The interior looks good and only has around five tables so it's a really calm setting. If you visit Napoli you should definitely try this place.

As someone originally from Naples, I’ve been to many osterie over the years, but Osteria della Mattonella stands out as a true classic. This time, my wife (from DC) and I were in town with two friends visiting Naples for the first time. I wanted them to experience a real, traditional Neapolitan meal—and this place delivered perfectly.
We started with a fresh buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad, paired with marinated aubergines—simple but full of flavour and character. For our pastas, we shared the ragù napoletano and pasta alla puttanesca. The ragù was rich and deeply comforting, cooked exactly the way it should be, and the pasta itself was al dente perfection.
For our mains, we shared meatballs and friarielli (Neapolitan broccoli rabe)—a classic combination that brought everyone to the table smiling. Everything was paired with a bottle of Valpolicella, which complemented the meal beautifully.
The atmosphere was intimate, charming, and full of soul. You feel like you're stepping into someone’s home, where everything is made with love and tradition. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing.
This is the kind of place that reminds you why Neapolitan cuisine is so special. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic experience.

Naples has become really touristic and it's hard find places that have not become tourist traps. I would say that this is not exactly an exception since it's packed with tourists, but at least they keep the quality of the food high and the prices low, which is pretty much all that matters.
We had gnocchi alla sorrentina (9 EUR) and pasta alla genovese (8 EUR). Both dishes were really good. Pasta super aldente, as it should be, and a good amount of meat in the genovese too.
The coperto is 2 EUR per person which is a bit high, but at least you get some nice bread. The coffee was amazing, and of course served in a glass cup as the Napoletan law states. The staff was not very friendly, but not rude either. Just doing their job, which is fine.
This osteria is really good and they have all the traditional dishes that you may want to try while visiting Naples. Definitely a good option when looking for traditional cuisine for good prices.

Pizza dough is quite "salty" although it's my personal preference. The interior and the condiments have, on the other hand, the right amount of seasoning.

A really fine pizza place! I know that if you are visiting this area of Naples, you are overwhelmed with the number of pizzeria and pizza choices within a 10-minute walk! This one we feel is one you should try. They have a unique way of making their crust and we devoured the pizzas we got from here. Be sure to look at all the menus because everyone has their own specialties. The service was great and the price was reasonable. We love that the name has the year 1947 in it, that is a special year for all US Air Force veterans.

This place is a little different than the rest of the pizzerias as they specialize in fried pizzas. The meal is heavier than most places. But the taste is well worth it. Come hungry. Seating is also limited to the sidewalk so keep that in mind. But the staff were polite and made great recommendations.

Ok, so this was the weirdest food experience in Napoli. read a lot of good things about the place, a "must see". Hahaha there were 2 guys who looked so depressed you thought you'd brighten their day by walking in and buying something. There were about 5 sfogliatelle inside. We asked what fillings they had, they said one (OK, no problem, I like it simple!).
One of the guys said the price and took our money. The other one reheated our 3 sfogliatelle and handed them to us.
Nor one word, not one smile, no other soul in the place, and their looks almost made me want to apologise for buying the pastries.

It's expensive, but absolutely worth it. One of the best dinners of my life, and definitely my favorite oyster (which of course is an Italian varietal). Overall we had a nice experience, the services got spotty once other customers arrived though.

Small cafétaria with local Italian food. We had a Crocchè con mozzarella (big one on the photo). This is basically a fried potato with soft filling. This is tasty although I would recommend not to order too much so you see for yourself how you'd like the taste.

Tried 20 different frittatine around Napoli. I was really looking forward to try it in the "best" fried food establishment in Napoli that was also reviewed by the famous Gambero Rosso.
First visit: quite good, crunchy and still juicy, service neutral
Second visit: 2 of 3 were burned, dark and dry frittatina, service quite unfriendly and unmotivated.
Third visit: now all three were burned, too dark, bitter, dry, not warm inside, smelling like old oil and not crunchy, service again completely unmotivated
Been there, done it. There are so many good shops for a good frittatina in Napoli. Stop loosing time and money here in this trap.

A great restaurant that has a long history of its being in Naples! We had oysters with shrimp on top of it and it was so delicious! As well, we had a platter to share with different type of fish and the way it was presented and prepared was so masterful! The wine that he gave us was very nice and fit with the selection of seafood so well!
The owner is so nice to talk to and you should take his recommendation for the selection of food and just let him do the magic. Truly one of the best experiences I have had in the restaurant.

The service was incredible - little Salvatore was enthusiastic and helpful :) We were very impressed by the crudo dishes, especially the plate of raw fish which was fresh, tasty and balanced. I guess I was lucky and was seated whenever I arrived at the time of my reservation. I did book outside peak hours which was deliberate as I knew more chance that I’d get a table. For Naples it probably is expensive, but it’s become quite famous so that’s to be expected. For me the food and the really nice garden justified the price, and it’s still way cheaper than I’d pay at home. I had diavola (against the waiters recommendation which seemed to surprise him 😂) and it really was delicious with an incredible texture. I even ate most of the crust which I never do. Tomato salad was really good and the house red was perfect, although at 10 euros it was very expensive for Naples.
I’d absolutely go back but would always choose to go off peak for a more chill experience.

We were here for lunch….the food is good with different presentation from others.
We tried the tasting menu: few appetizers, 3 different pizza slides and 1 dessert. Since it was tasting menu and since they have more than one dessert I was disappointed to get only one, so when I paid I gave my feedback and promptly they offered to us Torta Caprese(very good). I do not give 5 stars because there are few things that I did not like: the music was not appropriate for a typical Napoletano Restaurant since it was more for a launch bar.
Personally, I find the use of latex gloves by waiters when serving food to be unhygienic. It often makes me think that they might not wash their hands as frequently, since the gloves can give a misleading sense of hygiene. Moreover, I was concerned by the lack of a tablecloth or even paper napkins on the marble table, and by the fact that the cutlery rested on a metal stand. It raised doubts about whether these stands are sanitized or replaced between customers, which made me feel somewhat nervous and not entirely at ease.
Pizzeria offers well-made pizzas with quality ingredients and a distinct wood-fired character. The Margherita had a balanced tomato-to-mozzarella ratio and a pleasantly chewy crust with light charring, while the yellow tomato variation brought a sweeter, more nuanced flavor. Service was adequate, and although I opted for takeaway rather than dining in, the order was prepared on time and packaged well. Although I’d say I am a pizza expert for a variety of reasons, judging pizza more than other foods is a matter of preference. This pizzeria was recommended by a Cardiology colleague from Napoli. I enjoyed my pizza Margarita very much. The tomato salad and stuffed zucchini flower were excellent. The other dishes also looked great. We had reserved a table for 4 people, when we arrived we were not on the list... We went in, there were still free seats. We started ordering and asked the waiter to recommend something traditional from Naples. He recommended us to get 3 pizzas and share them. We said ok and he recommended 3 pizzas that we had not thought of. They were delicious! The wine was very good. The prices were quite high but the Michelin stars say everything about the place.
You can sitt outside in the backyard. Very good and perfect baked pizza margarita. Would recommend to start with a shared sott’ e Ngopp. Ask for a doggy bag if you can’t finish the pizza.
The place itself was nice with plants around the tables, but that was the only nice thing about the place. It seems like the place is squeezing in as many tables as possible to make more money. We got a table right where the staff were standing and keeping an eye on the restaurant. We had 3-4 staff standing 20cm from our table and looking at us. They also kept walking into our chairs because there was no space at all. Not particularly romantic or nice. We asked if we could move tables, but we weren't allowed to. One of the staff was watching videos with music on his phone right next to me, which describes how close they were standing during our entire dinner. Then there are the pizzas. It's a completely crazy price level. 18 euros for a bad pizza. All in all, a really bad dining experience.

Came here for a few drinks, and it is such a lovely little place, tucked away, using a beautiful terrace and some stairs. Inside is a little gallery, which gives it obviously a cool touch. The drinks list is extensive. The cocktails, as well as wines we've tasted, were very nice. You get a very big snack patter with your first order of drinks, which kinds of make you stay for the next round ;)
The service is a little slow, you have to get their attention rather than theat they come and ask you if you need anything else. However, this is a beautiful bar and had quite a lot of other nice places around, perfect for a little bar hopping. It's also pretty quiet and away from any noisy roads. The staff is super friendly, professional and english speaking. You can enjoy a seat here at the end of the big piazza so it is not super crowdy or loud but you still get some of the atmosphere.
We had some cocktails here one evening. They are a bit pricier for the neighbourhood, but the cocktails are very well done. And you get some cool snacks to go with them.

My Favourite spot that I’ve discovered in Naples. It’s a gorgeous gem hidden away. I can only talk about the cafe area and food - the courtyard is gorgeous - it’s a beautiful gem for sitting with a coffee/drink and reading. I’ve visited three times so far. Cappuccino with oat milk is delicious, the lovely guy gave me little biscuits too. I returned for coffee a 2nd time. And my third time I had lunch - bruschetta (so tasty) and a mixed salad which was fresh and just what I was after as a healthy option. Portion size perfect too, served with bread. Peach / lemon ice tea is divine here. Each time I’ve visited I’ve had a wonderful warm feeling from the staff. The courtyard seating area really is a little gem away from the busy streets. Highly recommend.

I’m posting this after a disappointed dinner and after my sibling fell ill 12 hours later. We ordered a gnocchi and penne pasta, both veg. We had bread come in because of the pasta and I noticed how doughy it was. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like it on the insides but that wasn’t good. Towards the end of my meal, I noticed meat pieces in my pasta settled at the bottom. When i raised this to the waiter, she said it’s prochestto and denied it’s meat. But I could clearly see that it’s meat. The restaurant wasn’t even sorry about any of this. And in this bill split up, they charge you for water and a cover charge for the ambiance. The waiter asks you to tip her which is new to me here in Europe. I noticed the staff were a bit rude to other customers. My sibling fell ill 12 hours later and it seemed like food poisoning. I would not recommend this restaurant.
We got anchovies pizza with cheese olives basil & capers (really good 4/5), fried anchovies (5/5), grilled calamari (our fav) and a mixed green burratta tomato salad (3/5). The service was great. There are plenty of seatings inside (2 locations) and out.

During our 12 days in Italy, we had a lot of great pizza—but the best, hands down, was at Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria in Santa Lucia. I ordered the Bianca salsa with truffle, and my wife had the Bianca salsa with mushrooms—both were made to absolute perfection, with flavors that still make us smile when we think about them.
The service was just as memorable as the food. The staff were warm, funny, and full of energy, joking with us and teaching us how to pronounce Italian words the right way. We had such a fun time talking and laughing with them that it felt more like an evening spent with friends than just a meal out.

Beautiful pizzas, nice place! We went in September 2025. Had to wait 20-30 mins for a table. There was no physical menu, you scan a QR code. We had 3 different translations of the dishes which made it a little bit confusing discussing what to order as tourists. A bottle of wine started around €22 and went up from there, which is a bit more expensive than most places we've eaten.
Had a rocket salad with buffalo mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes. The cheese was tasty (but a bit rubbery), the tomatoes were excellent, the salad was underwhelming.

The pizza was really good authentic Neapolitan style with excellent quality ingredients. It only took about 5 minutes for the food to arrive once I was finally able to order.
The only downside was the service. I was alone and had to wait over 15 minutes just to get someone’s attention to place my order. I tried raising my hand several times but the servers seemed to look over and then walk away.
Overall despite the slow service it was a great experience and definitely worth visiting for the pizza itself.

I came across this in a special guidebook about Naples, and on our last day, we went for a little pastry, and I'm glad we did. Tiny little place, the guy sat behind the counter, smoking, asked us if we wanted to try something delicious, and then he just handed us a fresh little bun filled with pork and egg. You will find many local patrons as well as tourists. I highly recommend it for food... you just need a little patience for the service and everything is fine.
My partner told me this place was the origin of margherita pizza so we had to try it. Despite of arriving Naples at 6pm the same day we made an effort to head to Brandi which was a 18 min subway ride from Naples terminal and our hotel. The atmosphere was lovely with music playing, outdoor seating and people passing by. When we asked for the table the old server was quite rude. He told us to wait in the corner and was looking annoyed. I don't know... He might be racist. Not much asian around. He was nice to other tables 🙄 anyways, the food was amazing. Fresh, light, flavorful. The octopus salad was lacking taste a little bit but I like the sauce. The table was very slanted which was kind of awkward. The younger server was nicer and explained the food and drinks. It was still a good experience trying the origin of pizza. I'd recommend this place but service needs to improve. Pizza was definitely better than Rome. It's Naples after all 😄

Busy place - in the middle of a popular tourist stops, the history of a place responsible for creating Margherita pizza also brings in some people (🙋♀️)
Possibility to sit in or under a parasol outside. The pizza menu is not big but you don't mess with the perfection (Margherita)
We ordered plain Margherita and mushroom Margherita - both smelled amazing, like a fireplace in the middle of the forest.
I would not call it the best pizza in the Napoli, but definitely still delicious and worth trying.
We nearly missed our train because of this pizza, and it was absolutely worth it. We arrived before opening, so there was no wait for a table, and the food came out quickly. The pizza was unforgettable — I still dream about it!
I highly recommend this place, the Margherita pizza is the best we ever had, the seafood pasta is not to be missed. The live music made it an unforgettable time. The best dinner experience we had in Napoli. The service was on point and the prices so cheap for the quality that makes you want to order the whole menu. Try to make a reservation if you want to sit outside.
