Delicious food and excellent service with staff working together for all patrons. The croquettes of shrimp and cheese was excellent with the half chicken being amazing. The baked sole was equally good (it's still boned but flakes off in one piece). Highly recommend coming here and it's in a very nice square.

Great moule frites. We We're sitting on the terrace outisde the restaurant. The square where the restaurant is located is much less busy than the main square in front of Belfort, and this seems cosier. The staff were great. Very attentive and speak, Flemish/Dutch, English, French and German.

This restaurant has a big outdoor seating area very pleasant during summer time. This is another good restaurant to try the traditional Belgian cuisine. We found the Flemish fish stew slightly heavy, topped with too much cheese. The bouillabaise was very rich. The staff were friendly. Recommended

We stumbled upon this restaurant without a reservation and it was an absolute hit! It had a kids' menu and felt very family-friendly. While waiting for the food, the children enjoyed drawing and coloring. The massel dish was simple but wonderfully plump and delicious. The waiter's recommended beer and the traditional stew were also excellent. Best of all, the server who looked very much like Belle from Beauty and the Beast was absolutely lovely. We definitely want to go again. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Hands down the best mussels we’ve had! The goat cheese starter with extra honey was incredible, and the cheese croquettes were the best we tried in Belgium. Hubby and I shared the mussel pot with garlic and cream sauce—absolutely delicious. Highly recommend 👌🏼

The restaurant itself is beautiful with historic elements still visible inside. The service was also fine. However, the mussels, while tender and looked great, lacked any flavor and the fries were also very bland. I barely ate and left pretty much the entire pot. It’s overpriced and not worth the hype unfortunately.

The white wine mussels were the best mussels I’ve ever had. I loved how they really let the fresh mussels shine, nothing overcomplicated just simple and fresh. My husband also had the Flemish stew and he loved it. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were incredibly polite as well.

Had a great meal at this lively, traditional brasserie. The absolute star of the show was the fish stew – it was incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. A must-try dish! The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which added to the great experience. While the beef stew was decent, the real highlight was definitely the fish. The sides we had, like the frites and mashed potatoes, were fine but nothing special. I would highly recommend coming here for the amazing fish stew and the bustling, classic beer hall atmosphere.

The food was very tasty and in a good portion. But it's sad I came for the mussel but it sold out 15 minutes before I ordered. Here they are famous about hare dish, but I was too scared to have it so I tried the beef instead with the same sauce. The wave was very tender, and the sauce was very fresh. The staff were very nice and helpful. They always smile and attentive.

Lovely restaurant to experience authentic Flemish cuisine! We tried the onion soup, stew, chicken, and salmon — everything was absolutely delicious. Although the place was packed, the staff managed to find us a table for four in under 10 minutes. It’s quite lively and a bit noisy, but you still have enough space to enjoy your meal comfortably. A charming, authentic spot in Brugge — highly recommended!

It was bustling in the mid to late afternoon, and outdoor seating was full, but we squeezed into a table indoors. We stopped in for a quick bite. We were able to get in relatively quickly and the service was prompt given how busy and crowded it was. The truffle mayo fries were incredible. We almost ordered more because my daughter practically inhaled them. The hot dog and beer were also quite as well. Great spot!

Cosy pub with delicious food. I tried the beef stew, it was very tender and really enjoyed the sweetness of the sauce. Service could be a bit faster but we were there on a Friday night and it was quite busy. Would come back next time!

I loved the food and the coffee (cortado with soy milk). My family who are US bagel aficionados said that bagels are better in the US. Since I can’t eat bagels in the USA because I’m gluten free there but I can eat gluten in Europe as food quality is better, I really enjoyed my bagel with peanut butter, banana and speculoos crumbles. Oh and the desserts were amazing!!! The people are super friendly and the atmosphere is charming. Definitely would come back.

Delicious Bagels and they are able to offer gluten free Bagels which were delicious! Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We ate here twice during our visit to Bruges. Would highly recommend for breakfast / lunch!

I tried the Rudolf bagel, but it wasn’t really to my taste — the flavors didn’t quite come together for me. The place could be a bit cleaner, and I was also a bit surprised that my Rudolf bagel and an Americano came to €22, since the menu listed them for around €11 and €5. On a positive note, I really liked the soap with the scrub in the restroom — could you please tell me what brand it was?

Such a cute brunch place in Brugge ✨ They serve really good coffee and fun tea options but the star of the menu are definitely the gigantic bagels with unique flavours - I had mine with apples, honey, spicy chicken and cheese 🫶 The coffee also is really good - its worth just coming for that ☕️ Its better to book in advance if its a weekend for sure ✔️

Amazing gluten free options. GF bagel, salad options instead of bagel. Happy to adapt menu to make it work for you which is always sweet. Tasty drinks and friendly staff, the service was just a bit slow.

You must taste these waffles. They’re so light and fluffy and have a range of toppings. There are even savoury options though we opted for the sweet version. You can even make your own and select the toppings if your choice.

Everything was excellent! The savory waffle with mozzarella and pesto was full of flavor and perfectly balanced, and the Norwegian salmon waffle was fresh and delicious. The vanilla milkshake was creamy and just the right amount of sweet. The service was super friendly, and the atmosphere cozy and welcoming. Great place, great waffle and great ENERGY. After being turned away by another place - because they were closing 20mins EARLY - this was a lovely change of scenery. We arrived 30mins before closing and they didn't turn us away and treated us with respect and great energy throughout. I had the "Mikado" waffle (Custard w/Choc sauce) and my wife had the "Strawberry fields" waffle. Which we loved and we'll definitely be back again!

We went for the square ones. And yes… we nailed it. We ordered: - Chuck Berry (Berry & cream – their homemade jam) - Classico (vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and a tiny cup of melted chocolate – heaven in a bite!) - Strawberry Fields (a mountain of juicy strawberries with whipped cream). And the names! Pure genius. Each comes with a larger-than-life picture of either modern legends (Trump, Obama, Michael Jordan) or the classic icons (Kennedy, Sinatra, Marilyn, Cassius Clay). You literally get culture, dessert, and a history lesson in one. The service? Impeccable. We were served by a young student with a very Belgian name I couldn’t pronounce—kudos to her and to whoever had the brilliance to hire her. Prices? Totally reasonable for the delights served (€11). And here’s the fun part: listen as you cut through that crispy waffle exterior—it’s a symphony for your taste buds, basically screaming: “Release the saliva!” Bonus: after a lifetime of searching in other countries, we finally discovered the Vanilla Iced Latte here—mind-blowingly good. So listen up, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, future waffle lovers: if you ever find yourself in Bruges, don’t miss House of Waffles. Because if you do, when you reach the pearly gates, St. Peter might very well ask: “Why did you skip waffles so good even the saints themselves would line up for?”

First waffle experience in Belgium did not disappoint. I forgot to take pics of the kids sweet waffles but the adult ones were out of this world. I thought they’d be too heavy and we’d be stuffed but they were light and fantastic. An experience that you can’t miss!

I had been before, but wanted to take the husband and teen. I love a hot chocolate, by they are not fussed untill they tried out this place. They absolutely loved it. Definitely best hot chocolate around and worth buying the chocolate drops to tallke home with you as well.

We ordered two hot chocolates: Costa Rica (for my husband, since he is lactose intolerant) and Venezuela for me. Honestly, this was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my life – rich, smooth, and so comforting. It gave me such a warm and cozy feeling. What makes this place truly special is that they let you make your own hot chocolate step by step. Mixing the chocolate into the hot milk myself was such a unique and fun touch. It made me appreciate what I was drinking on a deeper level, almost like a little ritual. The chocolate itself is high quality and full of flavor, though I did notice a high amount of cocoa butter, which makes it feel a little heavy after a while. Still, it was absolutely delicious and worth it. The atmosphere is very inviting – somewhere between a luxury café and a family kitchen – and it felt authentic, like stepping back in time. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to experience authentic hot chocolate in a cozy but elegant setting. It’s not cheap, but the quality and the experience make it worth every cent.

We visited this place with high expectations as it’s said to serve the best hot chocolate but honestly we didn’t like it that much. It was just ok ok. You have to place at least one order per person. We tried their hot chocolates, coffe and mouse. The mouse was really good. The prices are high too. The ambiance is beautiful though.

We bought 250 grams of chocolate to take home, it was incredible. We also had the chance to try their hot chocolate in the tea room, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The place is beautifully decorated and has such a cozy atmosphere.

The tearoom was moved next door. We had a nice hot chocolate which is a must in Belgium and it was great. Also we bought some chocolate from the store, the lady there was very nice and helpful.

The dish was elevated by a perfectly balanced, lemony Hollandaise sauce that added a fresh and tangy touch. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying their fresh, hot cinnamon rolls, which were a delightful treat. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into the food. Overall, everything was wonderful. The flavors, presentation, and atmosphere all contributed to a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend! This place was open even in the off season 👌🏼

Nomad was absolutely flawless, the food was 10/10, it was beautifully presented. The customer service was attentive and polite, the atmosphere is great with a more lively front and a quieter back patio. The bathroom was very clean and everything looks new and fresh.

🍽 Are you into a nice breakfast, lunch or just a drink? This is really a great place in Bruges. All dishes are made with authentic and honest ingredients straight from the farm. Vegetarians or people with a gluten intolerance will certainly also enjoy the choice! 5 years after my first review about the Nomad, still happy with the great 🍽 Lunch we almost weekly enjoy there. I would highly recommend a Black Swan Gin to start with, such as their cold tapas plate, the Poke Bowl (every month they tweak it differently) and their veggie pasta in the winter. Kids will certainly enjoy their delicious shrimp croquettes. 📞 This place is hot. Despite all their efforts to accommodate everyone on Saturday, just give them a ring in advance! 👯👯‍♂️ The owners and their team are simply great and friendly. 🚗 There’s an underground car park just in front of their door.

Was recommended this store and I was not disappointed when I entered. The amazing amount of work they do is incredible. They have their own cocoa farm in Mexico, and they make their own chocolate from scratch. The passion that goes into their craft is spectacular. Also it's a plus their flavours are a bit out of the box.

Stopped by for a hot chocolate at The Chocolate Line — and I’m so glad we did! We ordered the Azteca Winter, one of their signature blends, and it was truly exceptional. They make their hot chocolate entirely from scratch, and you can see the care that goes into every step. The hot chocolate was kept warm in a pot on the stove — just as it should be — and when served, they poured it into the cup and added freshly ground chocolate (prepared the traditional way on a metate with a mano) along with a blend of spices. To finish, they topped it with delicate shavings of 100% chocolate. You can tell they’re truly passionate about their craft. The result was absolutely exceptional — rich, velvety, and full of depth and character. It had that perfect texture and flavour you only get from real melted chocolate, not from powders or instant mixes. It was wonderful to see hot chocolate made properly, especially after having a few less authentic versions elsewhere that relied on powder or a cube of chocolate stirred into lukewarm milk. The shop itself is beautiful and full of personality, with friendly staff and a creative range of unique chocolate flavours (including one infused with bacon!). We’ll definitely be back to explore more of their creations next time we’re in Bruges.

The worst experience. The shop was extremely busy, and the staff didn’t have time to answer any of my questions. I spent a lot of money on chocolate, expecting to try and enjoy it, but one of the flavors I specifically asked for—a dark chocolate with almonds—was replaced with a salted chocolate, which I absolutely dislike. It’s not cheap to pay this much only to end up throwing the chocolate away. There is also a butter flavor in your chocolates, which I wasn’t expecting. Overall, I do not recommend this place. There is a wide variety of chocolate, it’s impossible to know the flavors. The employees were very busy, rude, and seemed to have little knowledge about the chocolates themselves.

The Chocolate Line was a very unique chocolate experience in Bruges. There are enough options of chocolate for anyone. The storefront is beautiful; you can tell that it is the most famous chocolate shop in the city, but I do have to say that because they get so much traffic and are so famous, you lose that elite exclusivity/luxury feeling. I also didn't receive the best service when we were making our choices. The woman barely gave me the light of day, and she just wanted to charge my card. Also, a note to add, they don't give samples.

A trendy, modern chocolate shop. There are many to choose from, but this particular one had some unique items that were hard to find anywhere else (like chocolate lip balm).

If you are in the city and you don’t go to this bar, you will be sad. We were in Belgium for 12 days and this is the absolute best place to drink beer. Totally fun inside with lots of people having a great time and as you can see from the photos, it’s a really interesting room. The people working there know all about beer and it is served at the perfect temperature in a specific glass for the beer you are getting. This is a must see. One note is that the hours on Google shows 5 PM but during the time we were there in mid May, it was opening at 6 PM. Also, you don’t have to pay a premium to get a beer here, it was the same price or better than any other place in town.

Interesting old cellar with a large amount of different beers! Beer can be tasted before ordering, which delighted us. Buckwheat beer is great! The space is very interesting. We were there when it was very hot and ventilation was a bit of a problem...

Best beer bar we went to in bruges. The guy at door, who seats you, set good tone from start and we stayed a lot longer than planned. There is tap beer and loads of bottles. After picking some myself I asked barman for some help and it really got better from there. Some unusual stuff. The place is pretty and a cool place just to be. There are a lot of tourists there but doesn't come across as false at all. Would highly recommend going and being adventurous with choices.

Beautiful basement bar with quite stunning brick vaulting. Great beer selection and very friendly, helpful staff. Can be difficult to find. Just a doorway leading down some steep brick steps but well worth the effort. Order and pay at the bar.

What an amazing historic venue. Delicious succulent spectrum of beers, served with stories and smiles from Maximilius and Tom. #2, 13, 15, 18 and 25 plus more. Highly recommend for some pints and history of Belgium!

Really unique bar with great beers. Well worth a visit but be aware you need to wait to be seated. The staff member was quite militant at chasing people down if they didn’t wait or moving people to different tables to make way for bigger groups. Whilst this is somewhat understandable, it made us feel unwelcome so we left after being moved to the bar to give our table to a bigger group. Shame because it’s such a great place.

Worth the climb to avoid the crowds but still get views over the square! Plus it was only 10 euro for a fight! Only weird thing is they won’t sell you the chocolate they have unless you buy it with the specific beer pairing…even if you pair it yourself. So bring your own chocolate.

Wow. Great conversation. Staff is fantastic here, all around conversation about beer, bourbon and Rum. About 14 beers on tap, you can select 4 for 10 euro. Cornet was refreshing even when it was oaky beet similar to bourbon. Stop by if you want to have great chat and decent amount of local beer.

Did not have time to fully explore this wonderful and joyful beer museum. Just went upstairs to the beer testing area to take pictures. Staffing was very nice and allowed me to taking photos! If God permits me to visit Burgers again, I’ll be happy to visit the museum again!

The first section of this museum had a few tactile moments, smelling hops and feeling barley but after that this museum totally ran out of steam. It's just pointing an iPad (mine malfunctioned halfway) at pictures and reading short Wikipedia summaries. While there is the opportunity to buy beer at the end for a fair price there's no guidance or guided tasting and the bartender hadn't even been to the museum so couldn't relate it to anything we'd 'learned' Skip the museum and head straight to the bar for €10 for 4 (delicious) beers

An experience not to be missed, especially if you’re a beer enthusiast. The museum covers everything you need to know, from the history of beer and how it’s made, to the different types and how to taste and identify them. At the end of the visit, you can sample various kinds of beer, all excellent, if you purchase the ticket with the tasting option (which we recommend!)

This place is and seems to have always been about Belgian beer. Smack in the downtown Brugge, looking quite historic and honest, there’s plenty of locals intermingled with tourists here. The beer selection is truly the only thing you should care about, especially if you actually want to try a bit of everything from Belgium. A few simpler commercial options are flooded with a ton of smaller producers and, even if you don’t love Belgian style beer, you will enjoy yourself and the experience of tasting the many shades of beer here. Truly a must when in Brugge.

We finished our trip to Bruges there, and I can't imagine a better place to relax and enjoy a good beer. The menu offers a massive variety of options, with high quality at a very competitive price. We also really enjoyed the food

A pretty spectacular place oozing with charm and character. Eye catching patterned floors, old wooden tables which could tell a thousand stories, old style gloss paint and flamboyant wallpaper and brewery signs adorn the walls. Brugs Beertje boasts both great draft options and an extensive and impressive bottled beer list that will cater for those new to Belgian beers and also highly accustomed beer nerds. I highly enjoyed a bottle of De Cam which was both jammy and tart, and went wonderfully with a plate of cubed cheese, pickles and delicately chopped red pepper with a firey mustard. I finished on a draft 15% Belgian Italian imperial stout which was very worty and thick! It is perhaps among the more tourist-heavy beer spots I've seen in Belgium but equally it was delightful to hear a range of nationalities enjoying their visit. Service was fantastic and I felt well looked after. All well-run establishment well worth visiting. I very much look forward to returning.

During our holiday back in June, we wanted to try Belgium cuisine. We are glad to have had dinner at Réliva. My husband had meat tasting menu and I went for the vegetarian menu as I was curious and had no doubt that the chef would create delicious dishes whether meat or vegetables. And it was! We have enjoyed it all and had a great dining experience which I will remember. Love the presentation of each dish especially the finishing touches of pastry flowers and real flowers. Very artistic :) Would definitely recommend it others.

We booked in here for a birthday meal whilst we were in Bruges. The food was exceptional and the chef was able to edit to make it gluten free for me, whilst my husband had standard. Service was very good and wine choice and help picking a good wine to go with the food based on our preferences was great. It is an expensive meal out but worth it for a special occasion!

We had a wonderful time here. Food was fantastic and complex, atmosphere was very chill and the server (who is the husband of a married duo that own the restaurant) was polite and informative. We even had a laugh with the husband at some of the one-star reviews that the we’ve received - they’re all from people who clearly don’t understand what to expect from a fine-dining, set-menu’s restaurant.

Incredible place, just around the corner from the square, so quiet, cozy and not noisy. The food is very tasty, especially the delicate flags and carpaccio. I recommend it for a romantic evening or a family dinner.

In one word: W A U W. The service, ambiance, and most importantly the food was divine. My company had the salmon with asparagus and it was excellent in taste, not too salty and delicious. I had the chateaubriand with a tasteful salad and french fries. The chateaubriand was medium cooked (my choice), no fat, super lean. The French fries were well fried, and the salad was delicious (great dressing). As dessert we had the trio of sorbet ice and the warm apple pie.. just divine! The food came at the perfect time, didn’t wait long nor short; just perfect. I can highly recommend dining here when in Bruges. And would be best to book a table in advance.

We just had dinner here for my partner’s birthday and my goodness it was SUPERB. The grilled king prawns were probably the best we’ve ever had, the chateaubriand was perfect, and the service was just so lovely. A fantastic birthday meal in Bruges, thank you so very much.

Pizzas were really good!! Definitely worth it. We took the 4 frommagi & Prossciuto Funghi pizzas. Reservation is recommended at weekends. Also the tiramisu was delicious. A nice place to enjoy your Italian dinner! Maybe the food came a bit too fast but better fast than late;)

As a solo traveler, many people are accustomed to people coming and having a seat for one and accept you. This time around, I actually made reservations but even by doing that, what I found profoundly inconsiderate and rude, was they had me seated in an area that was away from the main dining area and in some secluded corner. Then as food arrived, the staff was nonstop hovering by the entryway as if one should hurry eating. But funny enough enough, the food is done and im ready for the check, given I said I was finished and asked for the check, they have never approached me again. So again, I ask for the check once again with no acknowledgement. And then again to some other guy. Guess 3rd times a charm?? 25 mins for a check. Anyways. Lasagna, not bad but definitely not anything in Italy nor close to it. The pasta is a bit tough and heavy. The meat flavoring was pretty good. I contemplated going to the Italian place across the corner, murano I think, probably should have listened to my gut.

The restaurant describes its cuisine as “slow food” vs. “fast food.” It’s part of a global, grassroots organization to prevent the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions. “Slow Food” represents food that is good, clean and fair priced. To make it work the food has to be delicious and our pizza was one of the best I have ever had - and I have spent months in Italy. The crust was made from wheat grains that were organically grown in Italy. It was topped with artisan cooked ham, seasonal mushrooms, and smoked scarmorza cheese. The service was also excellent. Our server was funny, helpful, and professional. If I lived in Bruges this would be one of my go to restaurants.

A cozy and inviting restaurant, perfect for enjoying a delicious pizza paired with quality Italian wines and local beers. The wide selection of authentic pizzas makes the place especially appealing. The gourmet pizza with fior di latte and burrata was outstanding, especially the touch of lemon added a refreshing and unique twist. While the truffle tagliatelle could have been creamier and more seasoned, it was still enjoyable. Overall, it was a very good experience. A must visit restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Brügge

Lovely experience. We came to the restaurant just as they were opening (around 6 pm), We sat outside and saw the view of the plaza. The service was excellent, warm people. We ordered a soft soda, rosé wine, and shared margarita pizza and carbonara pasta. The pizza was great, but the carbonara pasta was exceptional. We enjoyed it very much. *I also added a photo that shows we completely devoured our food. The price was reasonable. When we finished eating we went inside the restaurant to use the washroom and it was so beautifully designed and decorated. I recommend sitting inside or in the patio. Overall an amazing experience and very recommended if you’re in Bruges.

We had a reservation, which is important because the place gets busy, though they do take walk-ins. The ambiance is really nice. I visited a while ago for pizza, which I remember being very good. This time, I tried the pasta. The dish was good, classic and simple, though I wish there was more variety on the menu. The tomato sauce was nicely umami, but the burrata on top didn’t seem like the best quality. The sauce texture could have been a bit better to coat the pasta more evenly, but overall, it was a solid meal. I also had a vodka martini which was amazing, and the red wine we ordered was very good as well. Service was friendly and smiley. A pleasant spot for a straightforward meal.

We had three different pizzas. We chose the vegetarian options. The pizzas were surprisingly tasteless. Mine was a little burnt, as you can see in the picture. The beer selection is also limited.

I liked the duck with rice. Food is good although with such a diverse menu they don't get foreign dishes 100% (rice was not sticky), but it is eatable. The place is really cozy and nice.

The food was very nice and the seating area was cozy. The portions were on the bigger size, and it felt like good value for what you pay for. We booked a table and I would recommend doing it if you want to eat here as most the tables had a reservation. I took photos of the English menu.

Lovely bar/ indian restaurant right next to the train station of Brugges. The seating area is very cozy and nicely decorated. The hello to the queen cookie crumble with banana, nutella and vanilla ice cream was delicious and decently priced within the context and the portion, 10.90€. What was insane was that a 1L water bottle costs 10€! Super overpriced and incomprehensible. Despite that, this place is nice just avoid buying water from here, better drink a beer. Looking at the menu, in general the food also looks very pricey.

Service took very long, we had our main course after 1.5 hour of waiting. As true Asian I don’t recommend this restaurant , the noodle is not even close to Asian taste- heavy sauce from the bottel. Thai or Indonesian they are not authentic but adapted version ! And food and drinks are pricey side when relate to the food quality. There are many people who look like gypsy, I guess we are in a wrong place.

Food was super big servings and very delicious, it was a mix of Mediterranean food and Indian I guess. We ordered a pita, a pasta and a seafood soup, all highly recommendable. The chai masala was interesting to try. It costed 70 euros for all we ordered, ain’t cheap but may consider only ordering one main dish for two people next time.

Classic pub style comfort food, very good value for money as the dishes where huge. I had the veggie spaghetti which is served with loads of cheese on top which is grilled, quite unique and I liked it! Good service, it got a little cold in the conservatory but luckly we had layers on.

Fantastic bar that does homely meals at a more affordable price than some places in the city. Was a mix of tourists and locals alike when we were in. While the glasshouse at the front is lovely, we preferred to sit inside as it was a nice cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend the pork cheeks.

I had the spaghetti bolognese for lunch, a salad, and a La Chouffe beer (a great recommendation from the waitress). The food was delicious, great selection of beers, service was warm and friendly, and the setting was quiet and comfortable. I highly recommend L’ Estaminet if you want delicious Belgian Pub fare in a relaxed atmosphere.

They don’t care to have tourists. Waiter was rude and unfriendly and was very clear that tourists were not welcome because it was a restaurant for the local so don’t bother going to that restaurant even if is refer by other local persons. We when on the 1/2 hour boat tour and Ms Sara , the captain, took pride in recommending that restaurant and it turn out to be a disappointment. I wish I had the name of the waiter to call him by his name. As a tourist it leave you either a bad taste even thought the experience in Bruges was great.

Tried this place as hoped to sample some good local cooking and we were not disappointed. We arrived relatively early for dinner and the old part was already full but there was room in the conservatory. It soon filled up! The menu is not huge but the portions are! We had pork cheeks and the fish pie. Both were excellent, the fish pie has plenty of fish and a delicious cheesy sauce. Interesting choice of beers too. Service not the fastest but OK considering it was so busy.

The service began well with the host and the seating as previously requested was a great one as well. It all went downhill when the female server picked up the order, it was a game of tug of war to push your bill up, for one person I paid 141€. And I don't seem to have anything to remember other than the snobby lady who only attended tables in Dutch. I will say the food presentation was great and the dessert was also good. But no need to make your way over, go somewhere else, better service. I found a pellet used in hunting in the hare, that's unacceptable. Also the chef never even came across the room to say hello or something. If a two star Michelin restaurant chef can do it, you can too, service from the heart not from the size of our pockets. Pity I must say. Adding to the fact that all 5 star reviews are of people who only have one review, how believable is that?

It is NOT a michelin star restaurant at all. The food was excellent but the service was horrible, even for a low cost restaurant. Many many basic mistakes were made that made us feel bad about the whole experience. Service is cold and not welcoming, making us feel bad not taking the extras. The water (6euros 500ml) wasn't even served to us. Waiter came back 3 times (!!!) to ask us to repeat what we ordered. Price were never mentionned. Service was pushy toward extras and wine tour. My glass of wine was never presented or explained to me, i have no idea what i drank. Bread crumbs on the table was never cleaned which felt weird. It was our first starred restaurant and lowered the michelin standard to us

Eating at this restaurant was one of the most Excellent dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The food was so delicious. The wine pairing was amazing and the service was done above and beyond.

Our first Michelin Star restaurant and it did not disappoint. Amazing food, amazing experience, and the pairings were spot on.

The concept of "slow food" is taken seriously here. Bread is served after 30 minutes, and the first course arrives after 50 minutes. Empty plates aren't cleared away for over 15 minutes, which would make the restaurant feel like rush hour. It's a real shame that the service is so uninspired, almost destructive. The food, on the other hand, was very fine. Overall, though, the restaurant leaves a bad impression. Two hours for a three-course lunch menu. Horrible.

Food: Excellent! They offer a “surprise” tasting menu (no substitutions allowed). Mix of meat, fish, and veggie courses, and everything is dressed up with fresh edible herbs and flowers. Note that the website says that if you want to upgrade the lunch tasting menu that you need to request with your reservation, but they offered the upgrade to me on the spot. Service: Server was nice; every course was well explained. The chef even came out to explain one of the dishes. Atmosphere: Beautiful! Not sure you can go wrong in Bruges. The restaurant is located in a quieter section, so it was really nice to sit outside and enjoy the meal!

Absolute 10 out of 10. So creative but never at the expense of deliciousness. Lunch was a 5-course set menu and the chef made sure to visit every table to provide info on the dishes being served. I am also a huge fan of the vibe/decor of Bruut. Very cool.

One of the best dining, food, and wine experiences I have ever had. The food was innovative, the wine pairings were perfect, and featured many natural wines that were some of the best I have ever tasted. Bruno was there at every dish, explaining, sharing his vision, and it made the experience so rich and truly next level. It's not bougie, but high level rustic, perfect, not pretentious. I could list every course and tell you how beautiful and thoughtful each one was, but he adapts the menu as ingredients come available, so, don't walk, RUN to Bruut if you are in the COUNTRY of Belgium. It will be the best food experience you have had in a long time. I will be back, without a doubt.

A great find. Starting from the rustic setting, the Grower Champagne (Bistrøtage B19, on par with Grand Cru Cuvées) and the delightful dishes. Among the highlights was the salad, inspiried by Michael Bras' canonical "Gargouillou", along with the monkfish and veal, where the carefully curated vegetable sidedishes almost stole the show. On a side-note for potentiell guests: If more on the high-strung or thin-skinned side better steer clear, if you can not handle playful banter.

Fantastic lunch experience. Cosy friendly atmosphere. All dishes were really innovative yet well thought through and coherent, in particular thanks to the amazing sauces. Difficult to pick one in particular but the burnt leek with mussel sauce and the fig on fig on fig dessert were outstanding!

Bistro Bruut had such a creative and inspiring menu. Our waiter and chef were fantastic and brought such a sense of personality to the place. The decor and setting were fantastic and really added to the experience, we would gladly recommend to anyone! The only thing I noticed was that toilets are down some quite steep stairs so if you have any mobility restrictions this might not be the most accessible place.

So I left this restaurant feeling sad, as I know it will be a very long time until I eat food this good again! Bruno and his team have created something very special at Bruut and the experience begins the second you walk in the front door. No table cloths, no menu, no stiff awkward convos just a seamless exciting and curious evening of knockout wines and food of the highest possible standard. The 9 course tasting menu seemed to get better and better as the night went on and we just didn’t want it to end. You would struggle to find a better restaurant in Belgium! In fact I wouldn’t even bother looking, just head here and you won’t be disappointed….

We really enjoyed our breakfast. The mixtures of flavor were perfection. Not only does the food taste good but it is eye appealing. My wife ordered a soup; I tried it and liked it, even though I don’t normally like soups!! I would have given this place a perfect score, but they didn’t have eggs and we were there at 11 am, well before closing time. If they had a protein option, even a non meat option, I would have been happy.

This place is great for breakfast or lunch, and is always guaranteed to be excellent! We love Brugge, try to return annually and Kottee Kaffee is one of the places that make the beautiful city so special. The owner is always pleasant, very helpful and friendly and calmly deals with the many customers who frequent her popular venue. The soups, sandwiches (made with great bread) and cakes are delicious. The ingredients used are obviously fresh and of good quality. A variety of teas are on offer, great coffee (decaffeinated too!) and non-dairy milks. I can recommend without qualification!

Kotteee Coffee & Breakfast is a lovely, calm spot for a perfect morning in Bruges. The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the coffee is excellent—especially the latte and cappuccino. If there would be a word better than Wonderful, I'd use it. This place is immaculate, in every aspect. Location: it's close by the windmills north of the city, you can have a nice beautiful walk back to town through there. Ambiance: there's a feel of a diner in the country side, yet a great sense of elegance to the place. You can feel ot even in the restrooms. Staff: the people who work there speak English and very helpful, they jave English menu too. The lady who cared for our order was so nice and friendly, even changed a few things in the brunch offer they have to accommodate us. Finally and most importantly - Food: Everything, and i mean everyone. Is either home-made or from a farm fresh (cheese, butter, breads jams) different type of fresh baked bread that that is so light and flavorful. Just perfect! For coffee drinks too, this place has it all. The kitchen is in the middle, you see and feel the experience of how your food is made. I would definitely go there a million more times if i lived in Bruges. Thank you for a delicious unforgettable experience.

Visit there twice during our visit. Highly recommend this place especially we're tired with expensive and below average tourist restaurants. We had such an amazing time tasting all the bread and bake goodies. We tried savory and sweet breakfast, everything are selected and made with high quality and it is the quality your pallets can tell right the way. This place is the oasis of Bruges.

WOW!!! Such an amazing breakfast! The coffee drinks and chai are delicious, there is such a large selection of beverages it was hard to decide. The food was fabulous and the homemade bread with local farm butter was some of the best I've had. Also, very friendly service. Highly recommend!

Best breakfast we had in Bruges, and one of the best breakfasts we had in Europe. The proprietors make everything homemade, including the bread and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The husband is very friendly and likes to joke around with customers, and speaks English perfectly, in addition to French and Dutch. After eating here the first time, we made a reservation to come back again, and we're glad we did! I recommend the hot chocolate (be sure to ask for it dark).

The restaurant offers a 4 course menu. No options left or right except for the dessert. There good quality food but I'm missing a bit the last mile. They work rather with spices than with the base incredients. I like the wine list, it's a good sele of global vineyards. When you sit in the back of the restaurant, it might get noicy because you are nearby the kitchen.

I’m glad that I bumped into this lovely restaurant on the way to the concert centre. It sit on a quiet street just 2mins away from the busy area. The hospitality was wonderful and the food was great! I was having a lunch set which already decided by the chef. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. From solo customer to big family, you will not be disappointed.

Slightly underwhelming given the reviews and its listing in the Michelin guide. Everything was cooked decently and nicely presented, but somewhat lacked depth and the flavours weren't particularly special or interesting. Gastronomic style over substance. There was a lack of non-alcoholic drink options. Service was polite but there were only 2 waiters for the whole restaurant.

I found this place to be a bit stuffy and disappointing. It was more show than quality. I felt for the quality the prices were extortionate. For example I had a bavette steak as a main, which was priced at over 30 Euros. It's a £3 steak and I could cook it better at home. I did not leave feeling satisfied with the food, to be honest .I know the ratings are high, but I felt a waste of money for what choices there were on the menu. I think this will appeal to a certain type of person who likes more show and a fancy setting. The staff are very professional and it's a nice interior but not a choice for me to return to hence the 4 star rating which I'm being quite generous with.

A truly all-round great experience. I wish we had visited it more than once. Lots still on the menu that we wanted to order.

Fabulous little restaurant serving amazing sharing plates. All the dishes we had were superb, and such a variety. Also a really nice cosy relaxed vibe. It was busy and we hadn't booked (I suggest you do as its popular!). But the staff fitted us in an hour later, which was fine and well worth the wait! Would come back in a heartbeat! Delicious! 👌🏻

We stopped in for a drink whilst walking around the city. Service was excellent and helpful with advice with what beers to have from the extensive menu! Delicious freshly made hot waffles with melted Belgian chocolate and a choice of a topping. What more could you want! We tried waffles from other shops and these were our fave. 5.50 Euro each.

Slight variation of the Belgian waffle by putting it on a stick. Made fresh and you have the choice of what type of chocolate-milk, white or dark covered and your choice from several toppings. Cost is 5.50 euro. Depending on time of day, there can be a line but moves quickly. Not a bad alternative to the traditional waffle options.

The service was amazing, can I know your name Louise was so nice and friendly, once you enter to the shop she smiles at you . And the waffles are amazing as well, you can choose your toppings and the type of chocolate, plus they was an option for lactose free and gluten free that for me was a must due to you don’t find that everywhere

Unique take on the Belgian waffle. Good selection of toppings and it's nice to be able to see them make your waffle in front of you. It was just missing a little fork/spoon to be able to eat the toppings etc that fall off the waffle.

The fish/seafood stew was delicious and probably my favorite meal while on a 5 day trip to Belgium. It was seasoned great and had a variety of seafood in the stew. Highly recommend. Also great service and interior is pretty upscale compared to most places in the area.

Food was delicious, in good (big) portions, and a bit on the pricey side. Had the pot of mussels and the rabbit's leg. The put of mussels was huge, and almost overflowing when served with the lid off. The rabbit's leg dish had a good sauce (not too sweet), with some small bones to deal with. Tables were reasonably distanced but we were able to hear someone's life story throughout our lunch.

Visited in Oct 2025. Dinner for two. Picked this restaurant during our trip to Bruges. We had sole meuniere and fishstew and two drinks. Both were excellent. The sole was full of favor, buttery and fresh . The fishstew was very creamy. The fish portion was generous Staff were friendly and vibe were relaxing and inviting. We had an excellent dinning experience.

We spent 3 days in Belgium eating mussels every day, and the ones at De Gastro were by far the best I’ve ever had! I especially recommend the garlic mussels - absolutely outstanding. We also ordered Flemish beef stew (stoofvlees), and the beef was one of the best I’ve ever tasted: tender, rich, and full of flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy, just as they should be. The restaurant also offers a wonderful selection of beers and wines. The only regret I have is that we didn’t have room left for dessert 🥲 I’m sure it would have been just as excellent! Highly recommend! ♥️

Fantastic food and staff! We had the snails and ribs, along with the goat’s cheese salad. Everything was super delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed, and you can look over to the Rozenhoedkaai which is lovely.

The fish stew and shrimp croquettes are special and nice, love it. The steaks are quite disappointed, it’s medium rare but I am still struggling to chew it (taste also so so). It’s a full house and very busy restaurant.

One of my favourite restaurants anywhere. The food is outstanding - meat cooked over hot coals, all within sight. You watch as your steak is expertly tended to. We were incredibly fortunate to get the very last walk-in table tonight. I know we were lucky, as this place clearly books up for good reason. From the moment we sat down, the warmth of the welcome from Marijke set the tone for the evening. Every dish was absolutely spot on！The fennel sausage was beautifully seasoned, the beef tartare perfectly balanced, and the rib-eye is cooked over wood fire in sight was simply outstanding, one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Both desserts, the crème brûlée and the tiramisu, were faultless. You can really taste the care, time and love that go into everything. A huge thank you to the chef and his wife for their kindness and hospitality. You guys made our anniversary truly special. Next time, we’ll definitely book ahead rather than rely on luck!

Fantastic restaurant, just a quick 5 minute walk from the city centre. Walk in and met with the amazing smell of smoked meat and greeted by incredibly friendly people. It’s clear this is a relaxed and cosy place. Marijke served us, and gave very informed explanations and recommendations on different beers (from which there is a wide and varied selection to choose from) based on my preferences. And the beers were tasty, refreshing and exactly as described. Meat was incredibly flavoursome, good quality and filling. Atmosphere was homely, cosy and traditional with a fresh modern feel to it all at the same time. I’ll be popping back to Bruges for a weekend just to visit here! Thank you Koen & Marijke!

What an amazing restaurant! Marijke greeted us at the door and congratulated us on our anniversary. We both choose the Chefs menu, one with beerpairing and one with gin pairing. The starter of Camembert, the Rib eye of 400g per person (!), and the tiramisu with biscoff were all just amazing! And even better were the drink pairings which tasted delicious on its own, but so much better with the food. The place was decorated nicely and we sat right in sight of the big grill in the middle of the room where Koen prepares all of these delicious meals. And even though they are only with the two of them, they really take time for every client to talk to you, make you feel welcome and at home. At the end they even gave us a custom card with a handwritten note cogratulating us on our anniversary. It was a very cozy atmosphere with amazing food and lovely service! If we ever visit Brugge again, this place will be the first spot we book!

I visited this restaurant 10 years ago and had a fantastic experience, which led me to book again, particularly because the website advertised live music on Friday evenings featuring local artists. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no live music, and the atmosphere was quite lackluster. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated between two other tables, creating a cramped dining experience. Interestingly, the couple seated next to us mentioned they had also booked expecting live music. The food was mediocre. We ordered the beef stew, which had good quality meat but was served lukewarm. Overall, it was a disappointing evening. While I understand the experience might differ during peak season, the website's promotion of live music was misleading and left us dissatisfied.

We visited Zwart Huis during our trip to Bruges, and it turned out to be one of the highlights! The atmosphere is truly special — dim lighting, live jazz (or great music), and a stylish interior in a beautiful historic building. The food was outstanding: the meat was cooked perfectly, and gave a great insight into Belgian cuisine. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive, but also very welcoming and cosy, as if you were visiting old friends. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a dreamy evening with friends over wine. Would absolutely come back! ❤️

We came here for dinner and ordered a Caesar salad and goat's cheese salad. The goat's cheese salad was absolutely beautiful, probably one of the best I've had. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home which was great. Fantastic selection of Belgian beers and different foods. It was quite quiet when we went in, but it looked as though it would pick up later on. So definitely worth going to if you're in Bruges.

Lovely restaurant with a little bar area. Great service, excellent food! Beware large portions! We had a starter and a main each but probably should have had a starter to share, as 3 out of 4 of us couldn't finish our main even though it was delicious! Croquettes & Belgian stew were fantastic! Beautiful looking interior with dual level, open fire on the top level and stunning lighting, jazz instruments decorate the walls and complement the jazz music being played.

Delicious food it took a while for us to get our food but it was worth the wait. We seem to have been maybe forgotten? The décor is fantastic the fireplace adds so much to the ambiance of the whole place. One derful music playing kept the place lively, very crowded when we were there as they told us it is like that all the time!

Lovely place for breakfast. We had the vegetarian plate, which was plenty of food: 2 eggs, halloumi, salad, toast, mushrooms and tomato. I had the classic toast with avocado, egg and asparagus. The food was served quickly. We sat in the garden in the corner and it was lovely. Good flat white coffee also. Very popular place, when we left there was a queue to enter. The staff were very nice

On Saturday we came here for a quick lunch. Unfortunately the sandwich I've ordered had mold on it. After notifying the staff I got a new one. The sandwich was also deducted from the bill. Although handled professionally it should not occur in the first place. I would expect for a sandwich place to serve fresh bread.

That's toast was a recommendation from a local during our stay in Brugge and it didn't disappoint. There are variety of options for breakfast and we went for a veggie breakfast plate. Everything on the plate was super tasty and the coffee was also delicious. The service was exceptionally fast considering the crowd. They also have a lovely garden to sit and enjoy the good weather. Overall, very plesant experience ❤️

This plave was recommended first breakfast. A small queue at 09.00 abd we were offered seat in garden outside with heater and blankets, we were the first outside. 3 other tables are then seated abd waitresses serve the other tables first. Really frustrating. Interesting menu, asked if breakfast can be with scrambled eggs. No, fries or poached. Ah that’s a shame but I understand small kitchen. Waitress then explains they do scrambled eggs but only for kids. Ah so you can do scrambled eggs you just won’t do them for me, so then I was offered well cooked fried eggs! Ok I’ll have the freshest instead, steak and jalapeños with provolone on toast. It is superb and the cappuccino was also something else. So, lovely food but service let our experience down I’m afraid

I enjoyed my visit to Thats toast for breakfast. The staff were friendly and the service was great, which made the place feel very welcoming. The menu is a bit limited though, with not many pastries, and I’d love to see more vegetarian options. The biggest letdown for me was the coffee, it wasn’t very good and could really benefit from better roasted beans. Overall, it’s a nice spot with a warm atmosphere, but the menu and coffee could use some improvement.

A Charming Stop with Delicious Bites at That's Toast! That's Toast in Brugge is an absolutely cute spot with incredibly positive vibes. From the moment you step in, you feel a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. I tried the Miss Jackfruit and it was genuinely delicious. The slow-cooked BBQ pulled jackfruit, paired with beetroot hummus, crisp iceberg lettuce, and a soy garlic yogurt, created a fantastic flavor combination. My only minor critique from a nutritional perspective is the lack of substantial protein in the dish. While tasty, it would have been even better with a protein boost. A side of fries wouldn't hurt either to round out the meal! Despite that small point, That's Toast is definitely a nice spot for a quick and satisfying bite in Brugge. I'd recommend it for its great atmosphere and flavorful offerings.

The only waffle shop we went to because the reviews are the best! And it truly lived up to the reviews. The waffles are made fresh and the waffle itself tastes wonderful. We tried strawberry with chocolate, and cherries. The cherries one is amazing if you like cherry!

Very tasty waffles at the Chez Albert and the Belgian chocolate gives it a special taste. There is a good selection of combinations. This place can be very busy as is on one of the principal roads in Bruges. Recommended.

The waffles were fresh, the belgian chocolate poured on top was super rich and tasty and the whipped cream was of surprisingly high quality, which made the waffles even more delicious. A bit on the pricier side, but worth it. The queue also moved really fast, so you don't have to wait for long.

Definitely the best waffle I've had so far in Belgium, the milk chocolate is great. But it can be a little sickly, since this type of waffle has chunks of sugar in the batter.

Spectacular waffle and recommending by other locals. These are liége style waffles, so they have a dense texture with bits of pearl sugar. The sugar caramelizes on the waffle iron and creates this crispy, sweet exterior. Absolutely delicious. We got the “menu deal” which included whipped cream and a bottle of water for €6.

Small and very welcoming place. The staff is a bit pushy, because they need to change the tables as quickly as possible. Great selection of beers, although a bit expensive for the quantity offered. You can't choose, there is only 25cl. We also had a toasted ham and cheese but the bread was really poor, and also the products inside. For €9 I expected a good sourdough bread.

They ware closed on Sep 23 when I visited them the first time but my persistent pays off! It is a legendary place for many foreign Belgian beer lovers. It is the place you need to visit for once in your lifetime! Very simple bar only sale beer and soft drinks for kids. When you order your beer, they will accompany your beer with a small plate of cheese. That’s it! But the beer is really good!

The house beer, De Garre Tripel is what all beer should be. Also their Gulden Draak on tap is nice. They have lots of other beer on menu to try. Good vibes and free cheese too

This is a hidden gem located down a tiny alleyway close to the main square in Brugge. At the end of the alleyway there is a set of steep steps leading a somewhat anonymous doorway. Beyond that door is a wonderful, atmospheric "olde worlde" bar with a fantastic selection of beers served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the house tripel it is excellent. Do not miss this bar. You may have to be a little be patient and wait for a seat on busy days but it is worthwhile.

This place is hidden down narrow alley and only found via recommendation. A nice little cosy beer bar with their own local drinks. I had 2/3 beers including the house triple. Also had the pate which was a good snack Bar man was helpful and friendly. Would of gone back. With location it's full of tourist but as per try something different and you can enjoy it. Could imagine it's great on cold night. Got free cheese with beer which was nice touch.

Fantastic local pub with a hidden entrance. Ancient building, tongue in cheek service. Love it! Considered not reviewing so I don't contribute to even more tourists like me 🤭 there. But they do deserve the creds. It's one of those places, IDK. (Food might be better, we just had the cheese with beers)

OMG, my favorite place for dinner in Brugge. During a 3 day visit, we enjoyed dinner there twice. The staff is wonderful, food amazing and ambiance delightful. The house salad is perfect, Chateaubriand and lamb chops delicious and chocolate mousse out of this world. Nice job, well done 👏👏👏👍

Great dining experience and the food was amazing. We started with a bottle of house Bordeaux and the mushroom toast that was delicious. From there my wife had the Vol au vent with mushrooms, meatballs and chicken. They bring the puff pastry to the table then table side ladle the chicken over the puff pastry. My wife loved it and I thought it was really good as well. I had the Bouillabaisse that I will have to come back to Bruges to get again. Overall I was very happy with the meal.

One of the most delicious meals I've had while in Belgium. It's kind of old school (i.e. not trying to be hip or cool per se) BUT the food was excellent starting with the bread which is delivered to your table in a paper bag and is served with both a wonderful olive oil but as I soon discovered an even better rillettes (a French-style pork pâté made from slow-cooked, shredded pork). It was amazing. For my first course I ordered the Iberica ham (amazing!!) and for my main the most delicious cod with a bearnaise sauce. And for dessert, chocolate mousse. It was Saturday night so the place was completely booked. People were being turned away. If you plan to go, you must make a reservation.

We had an excellent dinner, great service. They have a wonderful wine list and our server helped with the wine selection. It was crowded the whole time we were there with both locals and tourists.

Went there for dinner, ordered Filet mignon medium rare, with salad and mushroom sauce. Filet mignon was overcooked - but this was the only problem. Mushroom sauce was nice and fits mignon well. Service was very nice, have a nice chat about Bruges with the waitress. Venue not cheep, but very nice.

Excellent food and service. We had lunch here recently and had an excellent experience. We reserved a table in advance as we were a large party of 14. Everything was excellent, and we had an entire room to ourselves. The lamb shank, moules, and fillet steak were all fantastic.

All the food are delicious however we waited more than 1,5hours with our son and they didn’t even say sorry for this delay. The only thing this delay is not specific to us. Please allow extra time for your dinner and don't wait any apologise if you have to wait longer.

We’ve stayed in Bruges for 2 days and this is easily the best food we have had! Taste like homemade food that warms the soul. The portion are quite generous, and we got to eat Pigeon Pâté for the very first time! The location which is maybe 10min from the city centre by walk gives you a nice break from the more touristy crowded streets. The service was lovely and very calm romantic ambiance. Would definitely recommend to go! 10/10!

The pigeon is very delicious - tender and juicy. Great pairing with peas and onions. Would also try the rabbit or salmon. 9/10 The steak, however, is pretty much a do not order. It’s not what you expect as a typical steak - it’s dry and tough - 1/10. We ordered as medium rare and it was more like dry and overcooked. Not much of a sear as a typical American steak. Not sure what cut it was…but it was very dry and tough. We saw other diners enjoy the lamb a lot and overheard that the pork tenderloin was mediocre. Could use some extra salt/seasoning!

We waited 2 hours with our son for our orders without any information and explanation. We have been informed it is normal time. If you want to eat dinner I recommend to come here after lunch time.

Had an absolutely amazing meal here. The fish soup and duck starter was wonderful. The pigeon and lamb shank as our mains were delicious as well. Service is old school and the pigeon menus are great. Prices are on the pricier side but it’s well worth it.

The food was good overall (I recommend the smoked eel), but it was too expensive in our opinion. The small pizza is too average for its price. Also, one of the clients was celiac and we reinforced that, however they still placed bread over one of the dishes we ordered. Nonetheless, overall the experience was nice, the employees were sympathetic and the environment is cool.

We had a reservation at 20:30, but the friendly staff made sure that we had a table available 45min earlier. The service was very friendly and attentive, yet a bit inexperienced. I liked the restaurant’s Interieur, although the high chair were uncomfortable after a while. We had a bunch of starters in a ranch from ok (shrimp-croquette) to excellent (mussels). The sourdough bread is highly recommended. My maindish was the catch of the day. I absolutely enjoyed the fresh fish. As a desert we had the vanilla ice cream with chocolate. It was quite heavy on chocolate, but really tasty. Overall a good experience without excelling.

A fantastic start to our European trip. Our first night in Bruges—and what a memorable dinner at Locàle by Kok au Vin. This Michelin Guide-listed restaurant offers both à la carte and tasting menus. We chose the 4-course tasting menu with a 3-glass wine pairing, and it was an excellent decision. Every course was creative yet approachable, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The service throughout was warm, attentive, and highly professional. The wine pairing complemented the dishes well, finishing on a high note with a lovely Belgian rosé. Our menu included: • An amuse-bouche of smoked pijana • Pea and cucumber gazpacho with fresh cheese • Vol-au-vent with farm chicken, white asparagus, and morels • Red gurnard with zucchini, fennel, spinach, and Choron sauce • “Flowers & Bees” dessert featuring egg liqueur, rhubarb, honey, and elderflower The red gurnard was a particular highlight—perfectly cooked and packed with flavour. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The appetizers were a lovely touch while waiting for our food. The mains were amazing in taste and in looks. Very relaxed atmosphere and made for a wonderful romantic dinner.

Had the bib gourmand menu and it was surprisingly good. I had the pea mush, fish of the day and creme brulee and my fiance got the seafood chowder, pork dish and chocolate mousse. Everything was really good. We enjoyed this restaurant more than another 1 starred Michelin in Belgium.

One of the best pastas I've ever had. I really loved the Bocca and four cheeses. The price is amazingly cheap compared to the quality and other restaurants in the area. I went there for two days continuously. You can dine there as well on a long nice table. The food is also ready in just minutes.

Stopped by for a waffle after reading the great reviews and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the waffle I received was undercooked — the inside was raw and doughy, missing that signature crisp exterior and airy interior that make a perfect waffle. Sadly, it wasn’t something I could eat. The aroma was promising though, so hopefully it was just an off day.

When I was still studying at the nearby high school, I came here every Friday evening to grab a nice, hot, fresh made waffle. To this day, this is in my opinion the best place to just grab a casual waffle while you're exploring the center of Bruges. It's very close to everything, and usually doesn't get *that* busy, but in the summer months it can get quite a bit of people.

Very good restaurant with interesting approach. We were pre advised that there will be only menu set available, we chose 5 course with paring wine and it was very good. The wine matched the food very well, thank you for the selection. The presentation was incredible. The food was nicely and carefully prepared with great taste. The service was up to the level - very professional. We spent almost 4 hours (you should be prepared) - one of the longest dinners, but it was very good, thank you! Small remark - it was possible to replace a desert with cheeses, but it was not clear we needed to choose it while ordering the food. When I asked it at the end of the dinner I was told it was too late.

Booked dinner at Le Mystique to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it totally lived up to expectations. Even though it’s in a hotel, the restaurant is very intimate and feels like someone’s dining room, with a beautiful chandelier and gilded panels. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Thank you to Anthony and Redgy who helped to make it a very special meal and one now in our Top Ten☺️

I had my best birthday dinner in my life thanks to the welcoming and professional staffs of Le Mystique. The food and the experience here was like no other. Atmosphere was amazing with antique decor of the house, yet very comfortable. Above all, the service by the staffs made everything even more special and unforgettable. In Tokyo there are many restaurants with great service, however I learned the whole new level of hospitality. Thank you so much with all my heart, and we look forward to coming back.

Fantastic experience here for my partners birthday meal. £255 for the both of us for the 4 course set menu with two glasses of rose champagne, two glasses of white wine and a double espresso. The first course was langoustine which was amazing, followed by brill, hare and then the cheese course. The cheeses were all local cheeses, apart from one which was from England. Sublimely curated selection of cheeses. Bloody delicious. All of the courses were presented beautifully, so they were a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The standout feature of this place is the service. The staff looked after us extremely well and were very polite and accommodating. The setting is also beautiful and regency style. Would definitely recommend!

We visited for Stacey’s birthday last night and enjoyed a drink and appetiser in the bar before being shown our table in the elegant and intimate dining room. From here we were expertly guided through our 5 course menu including wine pairings. The service here was sensational and everything what explains in detail for both the food and the wine. The dishes were all exceptional and paired perfectly with the wines. All round fantastic experience and the perfect way to celebrate another year of life for my wonderful wife ♥️

We had the gorgeous and generous 6 course menu in combination with an overnight stay at the hotel. The dishes were perfectly prepared and presented and served with a couple of lovely treats in between courses and very nice and good matching accompanying wines. Food and service are definitely on a star-level and the quality is excellent. Chapeau! We’ve had a wonderful and pleasurable evening. Thank you very much for this experience!

Each dish is well thought out and very tasty sadly all a bite too small I know margins are tight but sadly at the end I could have stopped at the frituur just to fill up! The waitress is charming and helpful. The wine is a little steep €12 a glass! And cheapest bottle €62 it amounts to nearly 30% of the bill. It's difficult not to recommend the restaurant but be aware.

Delicious food and great lost of drinks. We took the 5 course teaser menu, which was a perfect size.

I know the evaluation may sound sarcastic but it’s actually real . We literally just left the restaurant . The dinner was phenomenal from the welcome starters kindly offered by the chief all the the way to main course , but unfortunately something really bad happen during my main course meal . I’ve choseen the NORTHFISH meal and I was eating it I found a HAIR in my plate I’ve immediately acknowledge the waiter and I’ve done it as silently as possible as the restaurant was full and I did not want to embarrass her . I’ve left my wife finish her main course and when I’ve asked for the bill , SURPRISE SURPRISE my HAIRY CODFISH was still there. They probably thought we intentionally put on of our hair in their dish , as to me for such and HIGH LEVEL restaurants you shouldn’t even let your costumer talk but try to fix the problem immediately. Such a shame . Maybe because we were Italians , I don’t know . Really really disappointed. My only advise it’s simply this one: You better treat your costumer as you would like to be treated. Food wise nothing to say quality very high .

So glad we chose to eat at Rock-Fort! we did the 6 course tasting menu on a Saturday night and enjoyed every creative, thoughtful, tasty course. This truly is a family run business and you can tell they put their heart and soul into the restaurant. Eline, one of the restaurant owners, greeted us on arrival and brought us a couple of our courses. Our waitress, Julie (not a family member, but you can tell feels like family!), was very hard working and attentive. Even though they were short staffed the night we were there, we did NOT feel neglected. Julie also was very knowledgeable about the wine list, and did a great job helping us pick a bottle of wine. The food was interesting and delicious. If you don't like seafood/fish, this might not be the right choice for you (unless it is a night you can dine a la carte), but otherwise I can't imagine not loving this place. As a bonus, the restaurant is not one bit pretentious, despite the high quality of food and wine. Very comfortable and welcoming environment. Thank you to the entire team for a great night!!

I was told it’s a local favourite and after visiting I can see why! The place is very modern and upscale yet has a small, family feel. Peter the waiter/owner/Manager (not sure) was very kind and most people knew him by name when they came in. And the food was absolutely delicious! Had a lovely lunch and will return one day I hope!

I wanted to love this place. It’s mentioned in Rick Steve’s book but it just didn’t hit the mark. The food was ok. My husband and his friend had a pasta dish that looked so unappealing. I had naan and toppings and soup. It was good. My friend had a salad. She said it was good. What I found frustrating was that although we were 4 of maybe 10 people there for lunch it took over an hour to get our food. The service was so slow. Also, I had placed my water bottle on the table at some point and the gentleman serving us abruptly told me I can’t drink my own water!! I wasn’t -I just didn’t want my bottle on the ground. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Lovely place, very nice staff (they also speak good English), tasty food. This is our third time here, we won't miss a visit to Den Amand when coming to Brugges. Had the Caserecce pasta with shrimps and the mildly spicy scampi with pasta, could not recommend them enough! Also, nice white wine of the house. P.S. very clean bathroom too, which is always a plus!

The food was delightful; I was particularly impressed by the spring rolls. The beer was also very good. The staff member, perhaps the owner, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering excellent food recommendations.

As a last minute dinner decision, Bistro Den Amand exceeded every expectation! The restaurant is small and cozy and exceptionally clean. The service is great and the food is absolutely incredible. The sea bass off the specials menu was amazing. Recommend calling for a reservation as there are very few tables and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to dine here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Den Amand! Both the steak and fish were well-cooked. The ‘krieltjes’ are a recommendation, as is the mushroom sauce! The latter I could have drank an entire glass of. Service was friendly and quick. House wine paired well with our dishes.

Quaint 6 table Bistro just steps away from the Market. The husband and wife team provided us with a terrific meal and attentive, informative and pleasant service. I definitely recommend the Bruges specialty appetizer to enjoy while the main course is being thoughtfully prepared. Other than the appetizer, we had one of the nightly specials, wild venison with Port sauce, fresh vegetables, baked apples, mushrooms and croquettes, and the Chateaubriand with peppercorn sauce, baked fingerling potatoes and added a fresh seasonal salad. Everything was delicious. Bonus: Belgian style non-alcoholic beer!

Slow. Very slow. I sat down at 630 and ordered the set menu. It's almost 830 and I haven't had the main yet. And the portions are not big. I don't need 30 mins to eat 4 pieces of tempura. I'm bored. I should have just had frites instead. This is silly. The quality of the food is ok, nothing special. Not worth the price

Lovely meal and experience at Tanuki for lunch. The atmosphere really feels like you’ve just stepped in to Japan. Everything was very delicious and of quality. I would highly recommend!

Tanuki is always and special experience. Every thing you eat is so good and contains so much flavour. The staff is incredible and the chef is world class. If you are not familiar with Japanese food I would recommend the Bento box then you can try a bit of everything. The interior is outstanding it will make you forget that the restaurant is actually in Bruges and not in Japan.

Absolut disappointment. Money you pay not equal food quality. The chipset ingredients for top range price. I do work in this business. Got food worth €10 and paid €150. Absolut rip off

It's funny to go to a Japanese restaurant while in Bruges, but it was one of the best decisions. Not only is it a beautiful place with a unique atmosphere, almost as if you were in Japan, but also the food is delicious, authentic and of a superior quality. I recommend drinking Japanese green tea. Both meat and fish are carefully prepared and melt in your mouth. An experience worth living, it is a piece of Japan in Bruges.

Tasty waffles! These had a much lighter texture than many we tried in Belgium. They tasted healthier, especially with many fruit toppings available. The pomegranate chocolate nib flavor/texture combo was very good. I also enjoyed that they were shaped like Belgian lace squares. The waffles were pretty pricey, but it makes sense given its location on a central tourist street. There was a pretty view of the canal you could watch while eating your waffle. :)

This is a wonderful place to take a break. The environment is beautiful with a lovely view of the river, and the staff were very friendly. The waffle itself was fine, though I personally prefer a crispier texture. The ice cream was a delicious bonus! A great choice if you're looking for a relaxing spot.

Beautiful atmosphere and a great concept – you can watch both the preparation and the making of the waffles by hand. Everything is freshly made and carefully arranged, and the waffles tasted absolutely delicious. We were lucky to find a seat in the backyard, where we could enjoy them with a lovely view of the canal. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for a wonderful waffle experience in Belgium!

I only coffee with oat-milk, but my girls loved the waffles there. So good, that we came back a few days later. If you are looking for something different from all the others, come here. No seating, to my regret.

If you only have time for ONE waffle when visiting Bruges, make sure you have it here. You can taste that the waffles are made with high quality products and love. All the waffles and toppings are dairy-free, which is perfect for people that are lactose-intolerant like me. Extra points for the lovely view over the canals. Would definitely come back!

Heres why I came: I try to eat very healthy, and have to be gluten and dairy free. This place checked both boxes. And since I was traveling from a different country, I was able to say that I got a Belgian Waffle and didn’t feel gross afterwards! Definitely recommend it. And its only 4 euros

Best thing ever!!! All of the flavors just click. The pomegranate and cacao give it a crunch. The waffles are spongy and moist. The strawberries and whip cream give it a slight sweetness. Best, nothing is too sweet and its light. I could eat this everyday.

My partner and i went for our Valentine’s Day dinner, and the service was absolutely amazing. From being greeted at the door, to having lovely conversations & the chef even handing us our coats at the end. The staff here really do go above and beyond.

Undeserving 1-michelin star restaurant with very mediocre food, and not much innovation. The only dish that was above average standards was the fillet main dish, there was a good balance between savoury and sourness. However, the main course took way too long to serve! Almost 45 minutes, and the other main course which was the pigeon was so tough to chew on, and totally not worth the price! I opted for the vegetarian dish, and I remembered that they used the same dish to use as a 'sides' for the pigeon dish, to me, that is totally unacceptable for a michelin-starred restaurant. The vegetarian dish was also so-so, definitely not worth the 78 euro course meal price. Couldn't even focus on the desserts, as we were too disappointed by the end of our meal.

I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. What blew me away was the Hare that I had as a main. Apparently, there's only a 10 wk Hare season from mid November until early January .I highly recommend this dish. The chef takes pride in his food. My only suggestion would be that the Ramen dish is served hot and not luke warm. I personally wouldn't recommend this dish as someone who is a ramen snob! I would definitely recommend the scallops that were also delicious. Nice place and nice experience.

De Mangerie feels like coming home to us; a "fine dining" experience for which we return again and again, with a very warm welcome and quality service from Els. In Bruges, we say, it is "van lek m'n liptje" (i.e. it was superb!), under the impetus of chef Kristof, who never shies away from a challenge, but also takes enough time to experience his guests' culinary experience at the customer's pace. This venue means so much to us besides "fine dining", but is highly recommended to anyone who loves fine dining in a cosy interior, with a friendly service from start to finish. Doubting to make a reservation? Unfounded. Just do it! Your experience will undoubtedly be a positive one.

The restaurant was decent, nothing extraordinary. The chef, who was also the owner, was very friendly and welcoming, and so were the waiters. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. However, the food options were very limited, either pork-based or seafood. The seafood was decent. I wouldn't recommend it to those who don't eat pork. Additionally, I noticed that one of the staff members would typically open the door for guests as they exited, a common courtesy in a Michelin-starred restaurant. However, when it was our turn, he didn't. While this might seem like a minor detail, the inconsistency in service made us feel a bit discriminated against due to our dietary preferences."

Fine dining at its finest - that is my overall impression of Zet’joe. We experienced a trifecta of food, service and setting. From the time we were escorted to our table by Philippe and attended by Giles and Geert, we knew we were in a special place and would have a wonderful dining experience. And, we did. During our meal the chef and his wife both stopped by our table to check on us - a nice touch.

FABULOUS on all fronts. Delicious food - beautifully presented, wonderful ambiance, warmest of welcomes, great service overall, accommodating and helpful in explaining the menu and in making small changes e.g. I was craving cheese and they substituted the dessert from the 3-course menu for the cheese. Also lots of little treats along the way from the time you are seated to when you are finally ready to get the bill and leave.

A culinary highlight of our Belgium holiday. Michelin starred. The cooking was flawless. We went for the four course menu with the milk lamb main course. The head chef, Mr Geert van Hecke, came to each table to say hello. A warm welcome and great service from the maitre d’. Wine and drinks options a little unclear. If the non-alcoholic options were described up front we would have gone for those earlier. Also, with the main I was given a non-alcoholic drink without being asked explicitly if I wanted it. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time here. Strongly recommended.

One of the best dining experiences! Hats off to the team - they run everything so well! It was inspiring to see what wonderful quality services great team work delivers. Everyone on the floor knew their part and executed it excellently! The food was really good! Smart way of doing it - the same menu for every table - you learn what you get once seated. This allows the kitchen to deliver timely and flawlessly. Everything worked like a clock. Nice teasers, beautiful selection of cheese, celebration of seasonal produce, everything came together to hearty meals. The coordination between the floor and the kitchen was awesome-inspiring! The chef and the host are great tandem. It is one of the examples how great restaurants should be run.

Very nice restaurant at the Ezelpoort with lots of parking possibilities. Very friendly service with a good explanation of the dishes that are nicely presented and are tasting even better.

Delicious food, each dish with an accompanying white wine. Enjoyed it so much that 3 hours went by without noticing.

Honestly I wish there was a six star option. All the food was delicious, the service was exceptional, the ambience is unpretentiously elegant, and because it's a little way out of town it's cheaper than it should be (though it's not cheap). Irreproachable.

We had a wonderful evening for two with unusual amuse-bouches and a truly Michelin-starred menu. Worth every penny. Thank you!

By far the best value for money in town ! Laissez-Faire is a top restaurant with a very creative chef. Their lunch is gastronomic: the balance of tastes in their dishes is excellent and the plates are a feast for the eye and tastebuds. I highly recommend it !

The most incredible dining experience. You’ll come for lunch, and yearn for a long dinner. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. The menu changes, but I am sure everything they offer each season is immaculate. With just one chef in the kitchen, each dish was perfectly crafted with love, attention, and care. I wish I lived closer so I could bring all of my loved ones here. Compliments over and over again, thank you for having us.

The food was amazing and the service was even better. The duck raviolis were the star of the show but the fried shrimp were cooked perfectly and also delicious. The red tuna was seared just the right amount and seasoned just the right amount. The wine recommendation was perfectly paired for our dishes. It was worth the walk from the market center and I would certainly go back if ever in Bruges

The duck ravioli is great. Lamb on skewer is not gamey. Very inventive. The recommended wine is also excellent.

Omg, this is a restaurant you need to go to. All the dishes we had were well-crafted and flavoursome. The open ravioli with ox tail, morel mushrooms and vacheri, we melted it was so good, it helped with a carafe of Bordeaux! And the Pâté en Croûte, you have to have, technology cooked very well, hats off chef! Great job guys, amazed by the concept. We will be back! The recommendation were to eat and drink after a fantastic!

Excellent lunch venue. Try the black pudding and lobster mini burger - you won't be disappointed.
