The 50 best bars and drinks in Bruges

If you are in the city and you don’t go to this bar, you will be sad. We were in Belgium for 12 days and this is the absolute best place to drink beer. Totally fun inside with lots of people having a great time and as you can see from the photos, it’s a really interesting room. The people working there know all about beer and it is served at the perfect temperature in a specific glass for the beer you are getting. This is a must see. One note is that the hours on Google shows 5 PM but during the time we were there in mid May, it was opening at 6 PM. Also, you don’t have to pay a premium to get a beer here, it was the same price or better than any other place in town.

Interesting old cellar with a large amount of different beers! Beer can be tasted before ordering, which delighted us. Buckwheat beer is great! The space is very interesting. We were there when it was very hot and ventilation was a bit of a problem...

Best beer bar we went to in bruges. The guy at door, who seats you, set good tone from start and we stayed a lot longer than planned. There is tap beer and loads of bottles. After picking some myself I asked barman for some help and it really got better from there. Some unusual stuff. The place is pretty and a cool place just to be. There are a lot of tourists there but doesn't come across as false at all. Would highly recommend going and being adventurous with choices.

Beautiful basement bar with quite stunning brick vaulting. Great beer selection and very friendly, helpful staff. Can be difficult to find. Just a doorway leading down some steep brick steps but well worth the effort. Order and pay at the bar.

What an amazing historic venue. Delicious succulent spectrum of beers, served with stories and smiles from Maximilius and Tom. #2, 13, 15, 18 and 25 plus more. Highly recommend for some pints and history of Belgium!

Great selection of beer, friendly staff and very good ambient music. This is a seated only pub so not too crowded but on peak times you may experience a queue. Worth a visit!

Really unique bar with great beers. Well worth a visit but be aware you need to wait to be seated. The staff member was quite militant at chasing people down if they didn’t wait or moving people to different tables to make way for bigger groups. Whilst this is somewhat understandable, it made us feel unwelcome so we left after being moved to the bar to give our table to a bigger group. Shame because it’s such a great place.

Small and very welcoming place. The staff is a bit pushy, because they need to change the tables as quickly as possible. Great selection of beers, although a bit expensive for the quantity offered. You can't choose, there is only 25cl. We also had a toasted ham and cheese but the bread was really poor, and also the products inside. For €9 I expected a good sourdough bread.

They ware closed on Sep 23 when I visited them the first time but my persistent pays off! It is a legendary place for many foreign Belgian beer lovers. It is the place you need to visit for once in your lifetime! Very simple bar only sale beer and soft drinks for kids. When you order your beer, they will accompany your beer with a small plate of cheese. That’s it! But the beer is really good!

The house beer, De Garre Tripel is what all beer should be. Also their Gulden Draak on tap is nice. They have lots of other beer on menu to try. Good vibes and free cheese too

This is a hidden gem located down a tiny alleyway close to the main square in Brugge. At the end of the alleyway there is a set of steep steps leading a somewhat anonymous doorway. Beyond that door is a wonderful, atmospheric "olde worlde" bar with a fantastic selection of beers served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the house tripel it is excellent. Do not miss this bar. You may have to be a little be patient and wait for a seat on busy days but it is worthwhile.

This place is hidden down narrow alley and only found via recommendation. A nice little cosy beer bar with their own local drinks. I had 2/3 beers including the house triple. Also had the pate which was a good snack Bar man was helpful and friendly. Would of gone back. With location it's full of tourist but as per try something different and you can enjoy it. Could imagine it's great on cold night. Got free cheese with beer which was nice touch.

Fantastic local pub with a hidden entrance. Ancient building, tongue in cheek service. Love it! Considered not reviewing so I don't contribute to even more tourists like me 🤭 there. But they do deserve the creds. It's one of those places, IDK. (Food might be better, we just had the cheese with beers)

This bar is a true hidden gem in Bruges. Tucked behind a narrow entrance, it opens up into a super cozy, old-vibes kind of place that feels like a secret spot only locals know about. The atmosphere is warm and charming, with seating both upstairs and on the ground floor, though the overall capacity is still on the smaller side which adds to its charm. Their drink selection is incredible whether you’re after a high-end champagne, a classic beer, or anything in between, they’ve got it. It’s not just a bar, it’s an experience. Definitely worth checking out

This place is and seems to have always been about Belgian beer. Smack in the downtown Brugge, looking quite historic and honest, there’s plenty of locals intermingled with tourists here. The beer selection is truly the only thing you should care about, especially if you actually want to try a bit of everything from Belgium. A few simpler commercial options are flooded with a ton of smaller producers and, even if you don’t love Belgian style beer, you will enjoy yourself and the experience of tasting the many shades of beer here. Truly a must when in Brugge.

We finished our trip to Bruges there, and I can't imagine a better place to relax and enjoy a good beer. The menu offers a massive variety of options, with high quality at a very competitive price. We also really enjoyed the food

A pretty spectacular place oozing with charm and character. Eye catching patterned floors, old wooden tables which could tell a thousand stories, old style gloss paint and flamboyant wallpaper and brewery signs adorn the walls. Brugs Beertje boasts both great draft options and an extensive and impressive bottled beer list that will cater for those new to Belgian beers and also highly accustomed beer nerds. I highly enjoyed a bottle of De Cam which was both jammy and tart, and went wonderfully with a plate of cubed cheese, pickles and delicately chopped red pepper with a firey mustard. I finished on a draft 15% Belgian Italian imperial stout which was very worty and thick! It is perhaps among the more tourist-heavy beer spots I've seen in Belgium but equally it was delightful to hear a range of nationalities enjoying their visit. Service was fantastic and I felt well looked after. All well-run establishment well worth visiting. I very much look forward to returning.

Best bar in Bruges as far as I'm concerned. Fantastic choice of beers both in draught, and in bottles. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the bar has a fantastic cosy and homely vibe.

We went to the bar for drinks and dinner. Amazing place. Really great food with a fantastic menu full of great choices for almost every taste. Everything we tried was delicious and we'll prepared. They also had an interesting selection of beers with lots to choose and again something for everyone and every taste. On top of this all, the staff were fun, polite, efficient and very welcoming. A truly all-round great experience. I wish we had visited it more than once. Lots still on the menu that we wanted to order.

Ohmygoood! Yes! No second thoughts! Unbelievable food! Every bite makes you question how it can taste so good! You’ll be gagged and wowed. Hands down to their kitchen and staff. One of our favourite bars in Bruges. Cost and romantic. Was busy both evenings we were there so booking is recommended!

Fabulous little restaurant serving amazing sharing plates. All the dishes we had were superb, and such a variety. Also a really nice cosy relaxed vibe. It was busy and we hadn't booked (I suggest you do as its popular!). But the staff fitted us in an hour later, which was fine and well worth the wait! Would come back in a heartbeat! Delicious! 👌🏻

We stopped in for a drink whilst walking around the city. Service was excellent and helpful with advice with what beers to have from the extensive menu! Wife and I had a brilliant experience here. Great selection of beers, and good quality food at a reasonable price. The bartender, Ray, was really welcoming and knowledgeable and made it a highlight for us.

So glad we found this off the beaten path, hidden gem of a bar! Great bottle of wine and we ordered half the menu…amazing shareable apps. Young, friendly, energetic staff. Great atmosphere. Would be back again tomorrow if we were staying in Bruges.

It’s incredible that they have been serving in the same location for 510 years. The atmosphere is wonderful. It’s not always open, so you should check the opening hours before you come. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Open Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00, and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 to 21:00. The beer and meatballs were delicious.

This a charming “off the beaten path” restaurant built in the 1500’s. It is small and cozy. The food was excellent. Try the onion soup and Flemish stew. The staff was very attentive and Freddy the watchdog is entertaining sitting in his little keeping an eye on things and greeting guests when they enter.

Such a nice place! It's the oldest pud in Bruges, very unique location. Very cozy atmosphere. We tried two soups they were delicious and perfect for the cold weather. The staff is super friendly and the service was very good! Highly recommend!

This restaurant was one of the best places that we went to to eat when we were away from our cruise ship. We found the restaurant via a travel app that referenced it as the oldest pub in Bruges. They claim to be the oldest pub in the world. We sat on chairs in the pub that were over 500 years old. It is a beautiful pub. We had some traditional foods and they were absolutely delicious. The beer was very good also. We would definitely eat at this location again, if given the opportunity.

I had the meatballs with mashed potatoes for dinner with the house beer. Both were delicious and the portions were just right. I shared a community table with locals and it was nice to share the vibe despite not understanding the language. The pub has a unique old world air about it. Service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Cafe Vlissinghe, particularly the meatballs in gravy, if you crave hearty fare, good beer, and a genuine cultural experience. It’s worth the walk away from the city center.

Considering the number of locals, this restaurant is not resting on its laurels as the oldest pub in Bruges. The service was friendly and professional and the interior was cozy and warm. There was also a very lovely and private area for outside dining. This was our second time to Cafe Vlissinghe and it did not disappoint.

My husband had previously visited here years ago with his best friend, so when we came to Bruges for a family day out, he was keen to bring us here, especially as I come from a brewing town. As the outdoor seating area was full, we found a table and although the rest of us stuck to soft drinks, my husband enjoyed reminiscing with a few beers. Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan in Bruges is a must-visit for beer lovers. The brewery has an incredible history and is still family-run, which makes the experience even more special. The tour is fascinating — not only do you get to learn about the brewing process in detail, but you also get to see their famous *beer pipeline* (“cerveceducto”) that runs under the city to connect the brewery with the bottling plant. The quality of their beer is outstanding, and tasting it fresh at the source is unforgettable. The staff and tour guides are excellent — knowledgeable, engaging, and very welcoming. The restaurant is also quite good, with hearty dishes that pair perfectly with their beers. That said, it’s a very popular spot, so it can feel a bit touristy and busy at times. Still, the overall experience is absolutely worth it — great beer, rich history, and a unique piece of Bruges culture.

Multiple friends (local and travel buddies) recommended this brewery as a must-visit. It did not disappoint. The unfiltered Belgian beers were stellar. The beer is piped in from the brewery 3.2km away. The vibe is chill and fun. Waiters are always circling around, checking on you. Definitely one of my favorite spots. I didn't get to try the food, but glancing at other peoples tables, it looked great too!

We didn’t go on the tour or visit the museum — instead, we just wanted to sit and enjoy some local beer. The place has a lovely small yard with its own unique atmosphere. There were quite a few waiters, all very polite and attentive. The beer tasted great, and we also tried the spretzels — they were incredibly fresh!

We came here for the brewery tour and it was absolutely fantastic. Marie was very informative and super knowledgeable and entertaining. The beer here was amazing and served in interesting surroundings. Well worth it if you’re ‘in Bruges’

Beautiful brewery space with a charming small courtyard and a restaurant in the back that has a cozier, dimmer vibe. Since we couldn’t find space for 8 in the courtyard, we went to the restaurant instead — very different atmosphere, but still nice. We didn’t get the chance to do the brewery tour this time, but the restaurant experience was excellent. The beers were fantastic — we tried 4–5 different kinds, and the standouts were definitely the Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel, the Straffe Hendrik Wild, and the refreshing Blanche de Bruges. The food was also a highlight. The burgers were amazing — the kids devoured them and couldn’t stop talking about how good they were (to be fair, we had just walked 10–15k steps, so they were extra hungry too!). We also tried the traditional beef stew — since I have no other experience to compare it to, it was just okay, kinda bitter than my tastebuds prefer. The gentlemen who served us were great (spoke Spanish and English) and service fee was included. Overall: great atmosphere, delicious beers, good food, friendly service and a place I’d definitely recommend when in Bruges.

This place surprised me a bit, it is a really cool bar and it feels super fancy when you go inside. The bartender was cool and got us. Good drinks but what I couldn’t figure out is that the place was empty. Maybe we got there too early, but we are at another bar in a cellar like this that was packed with people partying and having a great time. Maybe it’s just the vibe of this place and if you’re looking for something quiet and romantic and cool this would be it if you’re looking for a party there’s one nearby that’s similar.

“’t Poatersgat is definitely one of the must-visit bars in Belgium. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and the historic setting is truly impressive. The drink selection is wide and offers something for every taste. Most importantly, the staff are very friendly and attentive. Especially my friend Ramazan, whose hospitality and warm attitude make this place even more special for me. If you want to feel at home, make sure to stop by ’t Poatersgat!

Cool little medieval like cellar. Im 6'4 so had to squat down to get in the front door. Lots of beers on the menu. Servicd was fine. Atmosphere was cool. Was playing Bob Marley with 3 different Mr Bean episodes on 3 different TV at the same time so a bit funny.

Been a few years ago and not as good as I remember. Was popular on a Friday evening but very hot (mid September). Busy at the bar and didn't have some of the drinks we initially wanted but still good selection. Seem to recall had big benches and long tables, now replaced with smaller tables. Seemed a bit more cramped.

Barman misheard order and gave me the wrong drink. He said they so not make mistakes. Bad moment as another couple had alao had wrong order delivered. Mistakes happen but it is how they are delt with. Unfortunately poor customer service as i was ignored at the bar for 15mins until eventually my drink was replaced. Not a good experience

Thank God! The antidote to the endless beer - chocolate - waffle houses that clog much of historic Brugge. Good beer. Technically, they also serve food ("pizza"). Nice people.

A really cool space to chill, have a few drinks. We also stayed in the hostel and had drinks in the evening and the next day as well. The beers taste good & the staff were really nice & friendly. Reasonable prices and the bar remains open until 2am in the night. The interior also looks nice.

The Bauhaus is a fantastic bar serving an excellent choice of beers and non alcoholic beverages. The manager, Steve and his team were very helpful and knowledgeable on places to visit and eat. The location is great for visiting the Christmas markets or visiting local attractions. You can watch sport, listen to music or catch up with new and old friends. It was great to see solo travellers arriving to check into the accommodation and again provided with outstanding customer service. I wish the Bauhaus was around in my youth, instead I’m enjoying it in my later years. Do visit if you are in Bruges.

It’s a cool bar where one can find a varied choice of beers and non-alcoholic beverages. The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit and eat. He pulled out a map and spent 15 minutes with us explaining everything. They seemed to have a hostel upstairs, and it was cool to see travelers arriving to check in while we were enjoying our beers on a warm Belgian afternoon. It's a must-visit if you are in Bruges and want to enjoy off the touristy grid kinda environment.

An ideal place to have a good Belgian beer or a very refreshing drink. The place is ideal, it has a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from the rest of the places and it is very cozy and quiet at the same time. They have a wide variety of drinks to drink for people who drink alcohol (I obviously recommend the Belgian cervexa) and for those who do not drink alcohol (I recommend a fruit juice that they have from the Looza brand, which has a lot of variety to choose from. fruit). The treatment has been ideal, the bartender very friendly and professional. It's nice to deal with people like that. In short, I recommend coming to this place for a drink.

Had a great meal at this lively, traditional brasserie. The absolute star of the show was the fish stew – it was incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. A must-try dish! The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which added to the great experience. While the beef stew was decent, the real highlight was definitely the fish. The sides we had, like the frites and mashed potatoes, were fine but nothing special. I would highly recommend coming here for the amazing fish stew and the bustling, classic beer hall atmosphere.

The food was very tasty and in a good portion. But it's sad I came for the mussel but it sold out 15 minutes before I ordered. Here they are famous about hare dish, but I was too scared to have it so I tried the beef instead with the same sauce. The wave was very tender, and the sauce was very fresh. The staff were very nice and helpful. They always smile and attentive.

Lovely restaurant to experience authentic Flemish cuisine! We tried the onion soup, stew, chicken, and salmon — everything was absolutely delicious. Although the place was packed, the staff managed to find us a table for four in under 10 minutes. It’s quite lively and a bit noisy, but you still have enough space to enjoy your meal comfortably. A charming, authentic spot in Brugge — highly recommended!

It was bustling in the mid to late afternoon, and outdoor seating was full, but we squeezed into a table indoors. We stopped in for a quick bite. We were able to get in relatively quickly and the service was prompt given how busy and crowded it was. The truffle mayo fries were incredible. We almost ordered more because my daughter practically inhaled them. The hot dog and beer were also quite as well. Great spot!

Great little wine bar near the square but tucked into a side street. They have a few tables outside and some good ones inside by the window. Wine list by the glass was relatively limited and would have expected a few more, but still a nice experience and good, convenient place for a glass of wine before dinner at Brasserie Raymond. Prices are reasonable, too.

We sat to have some bites and something to drink. Very kindly and without any kind of rude demand, we asked the waiter for help with the menu as we don’t speak the local language. To my surprise we were told to use google lens and translator. This is not the kind of service we were expecting at all. We left straight away. We understand that giving five cents of the menu wouldn’t have taken more than 2 minutes.

we were recommended Blend by a friend for a change from all the beer. It was really good! The service very friendly and helpful suggesting us some wines to try. We also had a Meat Board to eat with our wine which was very tasty. The place was busy, we managed to get a window seat and watched the place fill up around us - the place was full of locals which is a good sign i think! Would recommend for wine, meat and cheese!

What an awesome place!! Walk down the steps and enter a warm, cozy bar with local drafts. Fireplace. Cold beer. Great snacks. Blues music. What more could you want? On a rainy, chilly day, this was exactly what we needed.

Our second visit to this subterranean bar in 4 years and it was just as good as the first. The owner provides excellent service and has a great insight into all the beers he serves, a true professional. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely return.

We love this place, second visit over the weekend after visiting originally in 2023. The beers are all excellent (I tried the flight), nice selection of snacks to pick at while you drink (meatballs recommended). Lovely spot outside by the water to watch the world go by as well! Will be back

Did the tour and had tasting after. It was nice little bit of fun - done loads of these before. Enjoyed it for what it was small and little quirky. Tasting after was good, also enjoyed pretzel and sausage. Was not 100 % sure on their whisky but it was only 3rd batch

I recently visited Bourgogne des Flandres in Brugge, and it was an overall enjoyable experience. The brewery itself offers a beautiful setting, located right along a canal with stunning views. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great beer. The Bourgogne des Flandres brown ale was a highlight—smooth and flavorful, truly representative of Belgian brewing. The brewery offers a cozy atmosphere, and there’s plenty to learn about the brewing process if you’re into that. It’s also a great spot to sit outside and take in the surroundings. However, the service left something to be desired. The staff wasn’t very friendly or attentive, which slightly impacted the experience. It would’ve been much better if the service matched the quality of the beer and the ambiance. Overall, the beer and the views make it worth a visit, but I’d hope for better service next time. Rating: 4/5

Pretty ok all around. I was not a huge fan of the beers, which may be classic styles but to me weren’t great executions. The food was fine too, better than nothing, the meatballs were microwaved. €16.50 for microwaved meatballs seemed steep.

Best brewery in whole Belgium. Not everybody knows, but you can go through the main area and sit outside near the canal. Fantastic wine and amazing beer

Beautiful front court yard, Beautiful back area on the water and the inside is beautifully decorated too. The inside smells so good. The beer was delicious and well priced.

The Bourgogne des Flandres beer is simply delicious, fruity and easy to drink. The tour starts at The Bourgogne des Flandres shop and then it moves to the brewery itself. Recommend the beer flight to beer tasting after the tour.

This place is better for drinks than food. Great atmosphere. Cool vibe. The food was ok. Nothing special… but maybe that’s just Irish food? Got the lamb stew and the chicken burger.

Visited here recently on a trip to Bruges. A lovely Irish bar in a great location. Nice and cosy atmosphere with a good selection of beers. I especially liked the Mae's lager. Lovely decor and great service. We didnt eat here so I cannot comment on the food. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Bruges.

It is very good place to have a dinner and a drink and to listen to a very good music. Friendly staff, smiling and attentive. If you are visiting Bruges ( Brugge) it’s worth a visit.

Popped in for a pint and a snack to get out of the rain. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The sharing platter was a perfect mix of different apps and a lot of food. It's definitely worth checking out!

Had a great time at Delaney's to watch the football. Food is decent but the Meat and Guiness Pie is amazing! Nice atmosphere and good place for anyone. Even though I don't drink alcohol, there are lots of great options for drinks too!

The place is very nice. It is beside the river. We chosed 4 peices of local beer testers. They are good but not similiar to our taste. The open ait part is very beatiful(it not so crowded because of the rain). The staff is very helpful. If you go to Brugges you should definately go this place.

My absolute favourite place in Bruges! Before this, I was that person who said “beer just tastes like bread water”. but 2be said sit down, child, and changed my life. I am now officially converted. We came for a quick beer and ended up writing love letters to Belgian brewing.

It is one of the kind. You can’t find it anywhere in the world! They may have every Belgian beer and the matching glass under the sun on display which you are surrounded by. Too bad, my photos cannot do justice if you are not here to see it by yourself! The beer shop open at 11:15 after the summer time. You can order a beer and seat on the veranda by the canal to see all the small boats go by or seating in the pub or at the entryway! The 2be shop is another must to visit, if you like Belgian beer or things related!

Wow! We were blown away with this place. Probably the best bar ive ever been in! Absolutely loved the beer wall. Everything is so quirky! Menus hanging from the ceiling, the amazing riverside location, the unique drinks on offer, the fishtank around the sink in the toilet and the enormous shop with a downstairs cave selling 100's of different drinks. I honestly didnt want to leave but would have been very drunk if I didnt 🤣 If you are in Bruges, you must try this place. I want to go back to Bruges just to visit this place again!

We had to wait to find a place to sit because it was very crowded. If you manage to get a spot by the river, the view is especially nice. We tried the tasting menu and it was delicious.

What an experience to sit here at the terrace sipping some authentic Belgian beers and gazing at the beauty of the Bruges canals, all while sharing your stories with strangers! Hands down one of the coolest things to try in Bruges (Brugge). Go for one of the '4-beer combos' they offer - definitely worth your money and time. This place is almost always crowded, but you must wait and try and grab seats on the terrace - totally different experience!

The beer wall is something to see. It’s probably a very nice place for beer lovers. You can try all the different kinds of beer. If not just take a photo at the beer wall.

Great bar with quite reasonable prices for the centre of Bruges. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations and they had a huge tap beer menu. The place has an amazing terrace outside and a quite cozy inside area. Loved it!

This is such a lovely restaurant and we had one of the best meals we’ve eaten anywhere. The set menu was fantastic value but also offered some wonderful flavours, inspired of course by Flemish cuisine. Service was friendly yet professional and efficient. The wine list was also really good.

Wonderful small restaurant in the center of Bruge that is owned by a couple where the husband is a superb chef and the wife is a lovely hostess in the front of the restaurant. All our dishes were perfectly prepared and presented and the sauces were exceptional.

A gem in Bruges! Food is in top quality and so tasty. Lunch menu is great value. Probably the best three course lunch menu so far in our 7 weeks trip in Europe. Owner and staff are great. You should book it now if you are reading this.

August 2025: barman was a bit grumpy and preferred cash over card. We didn't have any cash. Lovely, quirky bar, very similar in style to Pavilao Chines in Lisbon. Full of antiquities for sale. We sat on theatre seat and enjoyed a local beer. Good music playlist via YouTube.

We have been to the bar on three occasions whilst staying in Bruge.., it was intriguing with all the vintage pieces, jewellery, clothes and furniture for sale not to mention the beers etc. and the range of music on the tv. Shanti was the hostess with the mostest, always made us most welcome. Will definitely recommend to family & friends. It’s one unique bar. Ger & Frank, Ireland

Really nice beer bar with huge selection of local beers. I recommend order at bar and enjoy drinking in upper floors which are more like vintage shop! There was really nice and calm atmosphere both nights we visited this pub and the waitress was so polite every time. We also bought some vintage stuff as souvenir👌🏻🍻

Minnewater Park surrounds the Minnewater Lake or the Lake of Love. It is a romantic spot and ideal for romance, family time or picnic. One can walk or take a horse carriage rideto the Bruges Market Square or Belfry from Minnewater Park. It has postcard perfect scenic beauty and curated gardens and lush green lawns. Great views during Fall or Autums season.

Bruges is a beautiful city with delightful old buildings and lots of tourists. We stayed at the motorhome stop on the canal and the short walk to the city centre brought us through Minnewater Park. A lovely peaceful green place in the middle of the city with some spectacular views over the water.

It’s soooooo romantic when walking along the river. We were there in winter. Not too much tourists (of course there were still some, but not crowd indeed). There was such a silent small town and it brought us back to the old days. It seems we were going into the cartoon scene. This was such a wonderful & fantastic tour in Belgium. We liked this place soooo much and this must be a “must visit” when travelling in Belgium. This is even more impressive than Brussels to be honest.

This place was a gem of a find...we went out for dinner after doing research but chancing dropping in on places but kept getting turned away and we found Cuvee at about 8pm....a warm welcome when going in and lots and lots of wine on the walls! We didn't know if they did food but when asked they said yes, tapas sharing style. An online menu to look at and then advice for which bottle of wine to order and then we ordered food which was amazing, sourdough bread and salmon, fresh sausages and mustard and the best filo pastry with pigs leg.... devine 😍 We spent about £80 and 2.5 hours talking about the place and how nice it was and that we should come back...... definitely made an impact 👍👍👍

An incredible evening! Me and my partner came for Valentine’s Day from London - Where service is (usually) fast and you can’t expect to sit too long at a table without expecting to be asked to leave or order a drink. The service was perfect, staff so friendly and generous, while the food was extraordinary, impeccably timed and amazing value. We were particularly blown away by the herby gambas (some of the best and juiciest we’ve eaten) and the chicken filo pie, honestly outstanding! We shared a really tasty bottle of wine and felt so well looked after by everyone. Thank you so so much. One of the most memorable meals we have had for a long time (we work in restaurants ourselves) and to top it all off we were given a beautiful list of recommendations for our journey back to Brussels. The most precious place in Bruges! THE ONLY RECOMMENDATION: A physical menu instead of QR code might do more justice to the incredibly high standard of food, service, atmosphere and beautifully designed space. It felt a little clunky and impersonal which is at total odds to the warm service and clear attention to detail elsewhere. It also depends on our bad internet connection and low battery. This is such a minor point though! You should hire my girlfriend @molly.Cranston for the design! ;)

This is the ideal place if you want to escape from tourism. Here you will find plenty of different natural wines in every price range, by the glass or by the bottle which you can combine with snacks or to share. The owners are very friendly and helpful and have thorough knowledge when it comes to wine and food. The location is fantastic in the hear of Bruges. The prices are very acceptable for the location and the expertise that comes with it. I would like to give special importance that the interior is very beautiful and the choice of music is very clever. Not every winebar understands this

the older woman, who is a part owner here, is cold, abrupt and honestly rude(does she need a vacation or to retire?) a friendly hello from us was unacknowledged and directive given we would need to leave soon and to not sit where we'd begun to sit after we said no problem we will not linger. On the delightful side is a young blonde woman who was friendly and got us some nice wines and lovely delicious appetizers...over all it is sad when someone in the hospitality business forgets to be hospitable to guests who love wines as we do! So sadly I cannot recomend until the management woman learns the guest should be welcomed warmly and politely when coming through your door no matter what, that is the profession (as I've practiced it my whole life!). Please note not one of the reserve customers had arrived when we left an hour and fifteen later.

BEST food + wine experience in Bruges! We booked at Cuvee for dinner during our 3-day trip to Bruges. We enjoyed their amazing food and natural wine selection. We actually liked it SO MUCH that we booked for the following night as well. Their food is contemporary and perfect for sharing, so you can taste several dishes. It was DELICIOUS and very different from what you can find in the city. Also, very friendly and welcoming owners. They made us feel like at home. Congratulations on this unique and special project!

Stopped here for a few evening cocktails, and absolutely loved it! 🍸 The staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, and really know their stuff. At one point, they accidentally put the wrong ingredient in my favourite cocktail, but before I could even blink, they apologised, replaced it straight away, and made sure it was perfect. Fantastic service! 👏 The wife went for a pornstar martini, and said it was lovely, smooth, balanced, and not too sweet like some places make it. The whole vibe of the bar is classy, yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to wind down after a day in Bruges. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town! 🥂

What an amazing place! Me and my bf visited Bruges for a small getaway from Amsterdam and visited this place on the first night and we HAD to go on our second night as well. The cocktails were spectacular!! The place itself has a very cozy feeling. As Greeks, we would appreciate louder music. The staff is super friendly and the service was so good! Incredible cocktail bar in Bruges, right up the street from the main square. This place is open later than most of the local bars, and the owners are so welcoming of everyone, tourists and local residents. Come for the wonderful cocktails, incredible knowledge of spirits and mixology, and excellent conversation. I make sure to stop in every time I'm in the city.

I visited this restaurant 10 years ago and had a fantastic experience, which led me to book again, particularly because the website advertised live music on Friday evenings featuring local artists. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no live music, and the atmosphere was quite lackluster. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated between two other tables, creating a cramped dining experience. Interestingly, the couple seated next to us mentioned they had also booked expecting live music. The food was mediocre. We ordered the beef stew, which had good quality meat but was served lukewarm. Overall, it was a disappointing evening. While I understand the experience might differ during peak season, the website's promotion of live music was misleading and left us dissatisfied.

We visited Zwart Huis during our trip to Bruges, and it turned out to be one of the highlights! The atmosphere is truly special — dim lighting, live jazz (or great music), and a stylish interior in a beautiful historic building. The food was outstanding: the meat was cooked perfectly, and gave a great insight into Belgian cuisine. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive, but also very welcoming and cosy, as if you were visiting old friends. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a dreamy evening with friends over wine. Would absolutely come back! ❤️

We came here for dinner and ordered a Caesar salad and goat's cheese salad. The goat's cheese salad was absolutely beautiful, probably one of the best I've had. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home which was great. Fantastic selection of Belgian beers and different foods. It was quite quiet when we went in, but it looked as though it would pick up later on. So definitely worth going to if you're in Bruges.

Lovely restaurant with a little bar area. Great service, excellent food! Beware large portions! We had a starter and a main each but probably should have had a starter to share, as 3 out of 4 of us couldn't finish our main even though it was delicious! Croquettes & Belgian stew were fantastic! Beautiful looking interior with dual level, open fire on the top level and stunning lighting, jazz instruments decorate the walls and complement the jazz music being played.

Delicious food it took a while for us to get our food but it was worth the wait. We seem to have been maybe forgotten? The décor is fantastic the fireplace adds so much to the ambiance of the whole place. One derful music playing kept the place lively, very crowded when we were there as they told us it is like that all the time!

Service was very friendly if a little slow (service areas seemed large for one guy!). Would have rated 5 stars but our waiter kept our change as a tip without asking...

Lovely place for breakfast. We had the vegetarian plate, which was plenty of food: 2 eggs, halloumi, salad, toast, mushrooms and tomato. I had the classic toast with avocado, egg and asparagus. The food was served quickly. We sat in the garden in the corner and it was lovely. Good flat white coffee also. Very popular place, when we left there was a queue to enter. The staff were very nice

On Saturday we came here for a quick lunch. Unfortunately the sandwich I've ordered had mold on it. After notifying the staff I got a new one. The sandwich was also deducted from the bill. Although handled professionally it should not occur in the first place. I would expect for a sandwich place to serve fresh bread.

That's toast was a recommendation from a local during our stay in Brugge and it didn't disappoint. There are variety of options for breakfast and we went for a veggie breakfast plate. Everything on the plate was super tasty and the coffee was also delicious. The service was exceptionally fast considering the crowd. They also have a lovely garden to sit and enjoy the good weather. Overall, very plesant experience ❤️

This plave was recommended first breakfast. A small queue at 09.00 abd we were offered seat in garden outside with heater and blankets, we were the first outside. 3 other tables are then seated abd waitresses serve the other tables first. Really frustrating. Interesting menu, asked if breakfast can be with scrambled eggs. No, fries or poached. Ah that’s a shame but I understand small kitchen. Waitress then explains they do scrambled eggs but only for kids. Ah so you can do scrambled eggs you just won’t do them for me, so then I was offered well cooked fried eggs! Ok I’ll have the freshest instead, steak and jalapeños with provolone on toast. It is superb and the cappuccino was also something else. So, lovely food but service let our experience down I’m afraid

I would love to see them switch the black coffee from capsules to a specialty brew to match the quality of the food. Otherwise, amazing spot. I’ll be back.

I enjoyed my visit to Thats toast for breakfast. The staff were friendly and the service was great, which made the place feel very welcoming. The menu is a bit limited though, with not many pastries, and I’d love to see more vegetarian options. The biggest letdown for me was the coffee, it wasn’t very good and could really benefit from better roasted beans. Overall, it’s a nice spot with a warm atmosphere, but the menu and coffee could use some improvement.

A Charming Stop with Delicious Bites at That's Toast! That's Toast in Brugge is an absolutely cute spot with incredibly positive vibes. From the moment you step in, you feel a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. I tried the Miss Jackfruit and it was genuinely delicious. The slow-cooked BBQ pulled jackfruit, paired with beetroot hummus, crisp iceberg lettuce, and a soy garlic yogurt, created a fantastic flavor combination. My only minor critique from a nutritional perspective is the lack of substantial protein in the dish. While tasty, it would have been even better with a protein boost. A side of fries wouldn't hurt either to round out the meal! Despite that small point, That's Toast is definitely a nice spot for a quick and satisfying bite in Brugge. I'd recommend it for its great atmosphere and flavorful offerings.

Classic pub style comfort food, very good value for money as the dishes where huge. I had the veggie spaghetti which is served with loads of cheese on top which is grilled, quite unique and I liked it! Good service, it got a little cold in the conservatory but luckly we had layers on.

Fantastic bar that does homely meals at a more affordable price than some places in the city. Was a mix of tourists and locals alike when we were in. While the glasshouse at the front is lovely, we preferred to sit inside as it was a nice cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend the pork cheeks.

I had the spaghetti bolognese for lunch, a salad, and a La Chouffe beer (a great recommendation from the waitress). The food was delicious, great selection of beers, service was warm and friendly, and the setting was quiet and comfortable. I highly recommend L’ Estaminet if you want delicious Belgian Pub fare in a relaxed atmosphere.

They don’t care to have tourists. Waiter was rude and unfriendly and was very clear that tourists were not welcome because it was a restaurant for the local so don’t bother going to that restaurant even if is refer by other local persons. We when on the 1/2 hour boat tour and Ms Sara , the captain, took pride in recommending that restaurant and it turn out to be a disappointment. I wish I had the name of the waiter to call him by his name. As a tourist it leave you either a bad taste even thought the experience in Bruges was great.

Tried this place as hoped to sample some good local cooking and we were not disappointed. We arrived relatively early for dinner and the old part was already full but there was room in the conservatory. It soon filled up! The menu is not huge but the portions are! We had pork cheeks and the fish pie. Both were excellent, the fish pie has plenty of fish and a delicious cheesy sauce. Interesting choice of beers too. Service not the fastest but OK considering it was so busy.

Be aware, first the terrace is an smoking section, is not mentioned at all by the staff when you are being seated and you will know by the time you are eating an overpriced flavor less taste menu for two, which I don’t recommend at all, the rabbit is very strong and dried, the best are the salad and french fries. I asked to talk to the manager to tell him/her about my experience of eating my lunch with the heavily smoker guess, that person never show up and they just brought me the bill about $E80 I have 1 beer, one juice and the testing (tiny, flavorless ) 5 courses menu. That is was experience with this restaurant, no customer service at all, just money making business with tons of potential tourists.

I thoroughly enjoyed dining here for breakfast. I had the waffles and they were delicious. Perfectly made and very tasty. The view of the square was nice. The waiter was attentive and very nice. Washrooms however were on the upper level. We had someone with us that needed accommodations which were not possible. Otherwise the experience was very pleasant and I would go back. Prices were to be expected for a tourist location.

We had a delicious breakfast of an omelette with bacon, slices of cheese and ham, a croissant and kaiserbroodje also including a coffee and a juice for only €15,50 pp. Really tasty omelette and a super soft and warm croissant. Yum! Definitely recommend this place for a quick and delicious breakfast, super filling and beautiful views right in the middle of the Grote Markt.

The waiters were soo nice and welcoming to me and my northern! Bruges, Belgium was so beautiful and looked like a Fairytale. Food was amazing mom and I got the beef stew with Belgium fries as well as salad. Very fast service.

Stopped here early in the morning as it was the only place open on the square for coffee — and it didn’t disappoint. The coffee was delicious, served quickly, and a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the views of the Markt waking up. Great location if you’re out early and want a quality coffee before the crowds arrive.

We decided to come here four times during our 2-day-stay in Bruges and we absolutely fell in love with this place! The food, especially the salmon pasta, is incredibly delicious and the desserts were also wonderful! The Crème Brûlée and Strawberry Daquiri were so good, we had to order a second round right away. The service at Craenenburg - especially our amazing waiter Jason - is very charming and kind, despite being busy at all times. The staff was always attentive and happy to help us with special wishes. Will definitely come here again next time we visit! ❤️

Very good restaurant with interesting approach. We were pre advised that there will be only menu set available, we chose 5 course with paring wine and it was very good. The wine matched the food very well, thank you for the selection. The presentation was incredible. The food was nicely and carefully prepared with great taste. The service was up to the level - very professional. We spent almost 4 hours (you should be prepared) - one of the longest dinners, but it was very good, thank you! Small remark - it was possible to replace a desert with cheeses, but it was not clear we needed to choose it while ordering the food. When I asked it at the end of the dinner I was told it was too late.

Booked dinner at Le Mystique to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it totally lived up to expectations. Even though it’s in a hotel, the restaurant is very intimate and feels like someone’s dining room, with a beautiful chandelier and gilded panels. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Thank you to Anthony and Redgy who helped to make it a very special meal and one now in our Top Ten☺️

I had my best birthday dinner in my life thanks to the welcoming and professional staffs of Le Mystique. The food and the experience here was like no other. Atmosphere was amazing with antique decor of the house, yet very comfortable. Above all, the service by the staffs made everything even more special and unforgettable. In Tokyo there are many restaurants with great service, however I learned the whole new level of hospitality. Thank you so much with all my heart, and we look forward to coming back.

Fantastic experience here for my partners birthday meal. £255 for the both of us for the 4 course set menu with two glasses of rose champagne, two glasses of white wine and a double espresso. The first course was langoustine which was amazing, followed by brill, hare and then the cheese course. The cheeses were all local cheeses, apart from one which was from England. Sublimely curated selection of cheeses. Bloody delicious. All of the courses were presented beautifully, so they were a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The standout feature of this place is the service. The staff looked after us extremely well and were very polite and accommodating. The setting is also beautiful and regency style. Would definitely recommend!

We visited for Stacey’s birthday last night and enjoyed a drink and appetiser in the bar before being shown our table in the elegant and intimate dining room. From here we were expertly guided through our 5 course menu including wine pairings. The service here was sensational and everything what explains in detail for both the food and the wine. The dishes were all exceptional and paired perfectly with the wines. All round fantastic experience and the perfect way to celebrate another year of life for my wonderful wife ♥️

We had the gorgeous and generous 6 course menu in combination with an overnight stay at the hotel. The dishes were perfectly prepared and presented and served with a couple of lovely treats in between courses and very nice and good matching accompanying wines. Food and service are definitely on a star-level and the quality is excellent. Chapeau! We’ve had a wonderful and pleasurable evening. Thank you very much for this experience!

Food: Excellent! They offer a “surprise” tasting menu (no substitutions allowed). Mix of meat, fish, and veggie courses, and everything is dressed up with fresh edible herbs and flowers. Note that the website says that if you want to upgrade the lunch tasting menu that you need to request with your reservation, but they offered the upgrade to me on the spot. Service: Server was nice; every course was well explained. The chef even came out to explain one of the dishes. Atmosphere: Beautiful! Not sure you can go wrong in Bruges. The restaurant is located in a quieter section, so it was really nice to sit outside and enjoy the meal!

Absolute 10 out of 10. So creative but never at the expense of deliciousness. Lunch was a 5-course set menu and the chef made sure to visit every table to provide info on the dishes being served. I am also a huge fan of the vibe/decor of Bruut. Very cool.

One of the best dining, food, and wine experiences I have ever had. The food was innovative, the wine pairings were perfect, and featured many natural wines that were some of the best I have ever tasted. Bruno was there at every dish, explaining, sharing his vision, and it made the experience so rich and truly next level. It's not bougie, but high level rustic, perfect, not pretentious. I could list every course and tell you how beautiful and thoughtful each one was, but he adapts the menu as ingredients come available, so, don't walk, RUN to Bruut if you are in the COUNTRY of Belgium. It will be the best food experience you have had in a long time. I will be back, without a doubt.

A great find. Starting from the rustic setting, the Grower Champagne (Bistrøtage B19, on par with Grand Cru Cuvées) and the delightful dishes. Among the highlights was the salad, inspiried by Michael Bras' canonical "Gargouillou", along with the monkfish and veal, where the carefully curated vegetable sidedishes almost stole the show. On a side-note for potentiell guests: If more on the high-strung or thin-skinned side better steer clear, if you can not handle playful banter.

Fantastic lunch experience. Cosy friendly atmosphere. All dishes were really innovative yet well thought through and coherent, in particular thanks to the amazing sauces. Difficult to pick one in particular but the burnt leek with mussel sauce and the fig on fig on fig dessert were outstanding!

Bistro Bruut had such a creative and inspiring menu. Our waiter and chef were fantastic and brought such a sense of personality to the place. The decor and setting were fantastic and really added to the experience, we would gladly recommend to anyone! The only thing I noticed was that toilets are down some quite steep stairs so if you have any mobility restrictions this might not be the most accessible place.

So I left this restaurant feeling sad, as I know it will be a very long time until I eat food this good again! Bruno and his team have created something very special at Bruut and the experience begins the second you walk in the front door. No table cloths, no menu, no stiff awkward convos just a seamless exciting and curious evening of knockout wines and food of the highest possible standard. The 9 course tasting menu seemed to get better and better as the night went on and we just didn’t want it to end. You would struggle to find a better restaurant in Belgium! In fact I wouldn’t even bother looking, just head here and you won’t be disappointed….

We found this gem because we were looking for a specific beer - Tripel Karmeliet Grand Cru (delicious). We had a delicious meal (stew and steak tartare). Hof van Rembrandt has a very cozy atmosphere and the views from the upstairs dining area are amazing. We have already made a return visit.

This is a great little restaurant that has amazing food and a very nice outdoor sitting area. The prices are reasonable, and I would recommend this place if you are looking for some very good traditional Flemish food.

The service was 11/10, the waiter was really friendly even tho we were the last ones left. They didn't urge us to leave or pay, we didn't feel pressured at all. (The place supposedly closes at 00:00 but at around 23h we were the only ones left). The food was really good: the specialties were delicious, my Bereide Filet Americaín was perfect. The main dishes were way too big for us, I couldn't finish mine but most people like big portions. Next time I'm sharing a meal so that I can try their desserts.

Gorgeous location and atmosphere. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The food on the menu is, from my research, mostly made up of traditional Belgian dishes. I ordered the 'pastry with chicken stew'. It was delicious, and came with a side of Belgian fries. All in all, I'd recommend it to those who are looking to eat quality traditional Belgian food.

What we liked was after purchasing our drinks we were shown the amount on the cash machine. Most bars did it but it stops you worrying about being overcharged. It must be good as we paid four visits in three days. Varied age group drinking.

Best Cuba Libre i've ever had. Lime and sugar on the bottom, 8 year old rum on top, little splash of cola, topped with lime. Amazing. Keep going like this for sure. Great Bar.

Came here for a drink and great to see there’s a decent cocktail menu. Espresso Martini was good, though a little sweet. Nice outdoor terrace too and friendly service. People are generally so friendly in Bruges!

Bar Des Amis is a great place to stop and enjoy any drink while you sit and relax in Bruges. The bar is located in a very scenic corner just one block from Market Square Bruges. The staff member make you feel welcome right at the door.

The dish was elevated by a perfectly balanced, lemony Hollandaise sauce that added a fresh and tangy touch. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying their fresh, hot cinnamon rolls, which were a delightful treat. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into the food. Nomad was absolutely flawless, the food was 10/10, it was beautifully presented. The customer service was attentive and polite, the atmosphere is great with a more lively front and a quieter back patio. The bathroom was very clean and everything looks new and fresh.

🍽 Are you into a nice breakfast, lunch or just a drink? This is really a great place in Bruges. All dishes are made with authentic and honest ingredients straight from the farm. Vegetarians or people with a gluten intolerance will certainly also enjoy the choice! 5 years after my first review about the Nomad, still happy with the great 🍽 Lunch we almost weekly enjoy there. I would highly recommend a Black Swan Gin to start with, such as their cold tapas plate, the Poke Bowl (every month they tweak it differently) and their veggie pasta in the winter. Kids will certainly enjoy their delicious shrimp croquettes. 📞 This place is hot. Despite all their efforts to accommodate everyone on Saturday, just give them a ring in advance! 👯👯‍♂️ The owners and their team are simply great and friendly. 🚗 There’s an underground car park just in front of their door.

The waiter is super rude, telling me i cant wait for him to clean up the table and sit by the river and repeating it over and over again as if i dont speak english! The least he could do is tell me the waiting time and i get to decide whether or not i want to sit there. Also everyone is having drinks only without having lunch so us wanting to drink coffee is not the reason.

❌❌❌ AVOID THIS PLACE ❌❌❌ Beautiful setting however service was incredibly rude and slow. Despite being completely empty at a quiet time of the day, they made us move from our table by the water to a table that was by the building and next to a bin because we weren’t ordering food. They were also glaring at us throughout our visit and whispering to each other. We had just gotten engaged and excited to celebrate, and probably would have stayed a lot longer and ordered food. Instead we left and went to the establishment next door.

We went to ask if the kitchen was open (we’re tourists in Bruges, hungry after a long day walking, around 10.40 pm) The only thing we said, in a friendly way, was: "Hello, sorry, is the kitchen open?" Besides the “No” and a face full of disgust from the guy who answered us, someone yelled from the back: “Every kitchen is closed hahaha” in a very mocking and disrespectful tone. We honestly think they might have been drunk, and we felt very disrespected — they were clearly making fun of us. We knew the kitchen was probably closed, but we asked politely, and honestly, we didn’t deserve that kind of treatment. This completely ruined our impression of the place.

This place was recommend by someone who lives in Brugge and it is dog friendly! Location is excellent. I loved sitting next to the canal and enjoying a glass of Kriek. I wish they had more options for kids menu (they only had kids spaghetti bolognese). I ordered two Punta burgers for myself and a 6 year old. The burger tasted nice, however I didn’t feel it was work 18 euro for a burger and a side salad. I would visit again.

Very nice location along a canal. Service is fast and very gentle. Food we had tapas, with brie and salmon. But also shrimp croquettes. They were tasty and the amount of 1 dish is enough for 1 person.

I ordered only drink, gluntwein. Its as usually and taste good. The service quick and staff are friendly. Prices for drink 5-7 euros, so its affordable and to be honest good for such kind of touristy places. Cafe located in front of canal. You can take your time while enjoying your drink. Btw if you are a fan of movie “in Bruges” you can see directly the hotel which is famous for the movie.

If you wanna sit and have a drink and people watch this is the place. It was nice out 60 degrees or 15 Celsius and everyone was outside. Drinks were good and so was the salami and cheese.

Worst experience ever. Biers was expensive. Service was extremely slow. I am completely sure that waitress wishes you to leave. They are act like angry when you add orders. But it is really near to lake so for only the view you can visit.

Awesome vibe. Seems like a proper local, away from tourist thoroughfare. Sat here with my husband beer after beer, drink after drink, for hours reading our books and eating tapas. The owner comes around giving you a taste of their menu offerings on the house, very neighbourly and friendly. Great food, everything made from scratch or by friends of the bar owner.

Lovely place

Location is very central in a quiet area. It is a basic hostel and it is clean. Great big lockers in rooms and lockers to leave bags on day of check in and check out. There is no curtains around the beds which is a bit annoying. For the price it is worth it.

Very well organized hostel. Clean. Other than a few employees they are mostly friendly. Breakfast has nothing much to offer. It is 4 euros but I would still like to see at least olives and maybe tomatoes, cucumber?

The one thing that impressed me the most about Snuffel Hostel was the wheel accessibility aspect. There are elevators in the building. The hallways and dorms have extra allowances for a wheelchair to move around. There are accessible bathrooms and showers. It is quite apparent that the building was designed for the purpose of a highly accessible hostel. Supermarket and bus stops are within walking distance. The old city centre is not too far away either. However, the train station is a bit far away. I had two restful nights. Thank you.

The rooms are large and the communal space is great and welcoming. Pros: Best luggage service ever: plenty of room during your stay and a free locker service after checkout Light and socket near the bunks Table and chairs in the 4 bed dormitory showers and toilets are laid out more like individual bathrooms than the usual school gym showers you get in many hostels. and they have a hairdryer in each room. Perfectly walkable from station and into the main sites Cons: It isn't their fault but all Brugge is cobbled so the 7 minutes to public transport is a nightmare for wheely cases

Very good, clean. Stayed in 4b room with shared toilet & shower. All was very good. Needs some shelved e.g. some kallax for each bed for putting daily stuff (non valuables) on. Breakfast at 4.50€ was v. mgood value, ‘buffet’ inc. 2 basic cerials, breads, condiment’s, oj, filter coffee, milk, boiled eggs. Nice bar for a drink or 2. Bike rack in inner courtyard locked at night and undercover.

Very good location, 8 min walk to the downtown. Super kind staff at the bar, reception & cleaning. Also the bar has a good environment & the rooms are very spacious. I personally felt super safe because they have lockers with customized codes in every room, also in case you checked out, they have lockers that you can still access.

Great location with the bus stop to the main train station only a 5 minute walk away. About the same amount of time to b walk to the Old town centre along a gorgeous street. Staff are helpful and the rooms are a great size (booked a private room with ensuite). Everything you need is in the kitchen and the bar prices are reasonable.

Worst place to eat in Brugge without doubt. Prepare yourself to pay 9€ for tap water and 25€ for a 100g steak that feels like a chewing gum. The place is disgusting, dirty and poorly maintained. The atention is also far from being good. Please avoid at any cost coming here to eat.

We asked the waiters if we could eat here at 1pm: yes no problem please install yourselves we will bring you the menu in English. We waited for 30min outside without even a sight from the waiters. We were too hungry to wait more and went on our way. Thank you for showing us how unwelcome a place can make us feel

An awesome self-service option from a local farm. You can get a bag of potatoes, fresh eggs, or strawberries, cheeses, puddings. They also have a vending machine for ice cream! From single ice creams on a stick to larger options, it was some of the best ice cream I’ve had. They have a drinks vending machine as well, but this one only took coins or bills (all other options you could also yep to pay). As a bonus there is a very friendly cat who may come and greet you. 🥰

Waited forever for service, ignored by staff. Finally approach the bar and ordered our coffees from one of about 5 waiters doing nothing, who appeared amazed we wanted service. Uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Coffee was good once it arrived but decided not to eat there. Not welcoming to tourists it appeared

Canalside location on the north edge of the centre. Plenty of seating inside and out. Friendly staff. Busy but managed to seat us without a reservation. Good selection of beers. Recommend the fish soup, plenty of chunky fish in a tasty broth. White fish was very well done and with tasty sauce. Thai prawn curry had large, juicy prawns. Felt that the ribs were tasty but not as moist as I'd have liked, don't fall off the bone. Burger was good.. Great fries with ribs and burger. Good selection for kids to choose from.

Great staff, good food and nice location.

This bistro was recommended by a local shop owner for its good food, ample seating and locals focus. They got it right on every point. We stopped in on a Friday evening, and it was filled with families and friends having their weekly get togethers. Even without a reservation, they seated us quickly. We had the option of the outside patio or inside, we took inside. Cosy and warm interior, with wood tables and plenty of candlelight. The staff is friendly and professional and constantly on the move. The Shrimp Scampi appetizer was awesome. My steak with fries and side salad was perfectly done, and my wife’s goat cheese salad was nice as well. Good selection of local beer and array of wine options. It was just what travelers, weary of commercialized eateries, wanted…some local home cooked fare in a nice atmosphere.

Recommend Hostel Lybeer or St Christopher Inn hostel if location is not the main priority. Charlie Rockets has no value other than the location but everything in it is devaluing the place.. The beds, service, wifi, socket places etc. Only one shower for 8 bedroom too.. The shower light was out and needed to be replaced or sth. Told them about it several times but did not get it fixed during my two nights stay - had to put my phone flashlight during the shower.. They have better facility at Christopher and friendlier receptionist at a better price.

Service is decent depending on who is working. Has the feel of a real American blues/jazz bar but the hole in the wall kind. Cool style. Pool tables a plus. Oh! And you can order pizza and delicious beer.

Very poor experience overall, we found bed bugs in our first room, after being moved to another room we found bedbugs yet again. When we asked for a refund, we got offered half of our money back. When told we wanted a full refund, my girlfriend got yelled at by the receptionist Nancy over the phone. This is a borderline unacceptable way of conducting business! Overall score: Weekend ruined, Chance of bringing bedbugs home, Extra money spend on booking new accommodation and no refund. Do yourself a pleasure and don't stay here!

Be careful! Charged 45 euros for an hour of playing pool instead of 10. Finally refunded once a manager came, but no apology. Be careful! Tourist trap! As per my many other reviews, I usually post positive, so trust me when I say BEWARE!

Absolutely terrible place. Don’t bother booking - place is infested with bed bugs and management knowingly rents it out to travellers. If you dare ask for a refund the Manager Nancy will scream at you and the hostel will ignore all your emails or emails from whatever third party you booked with. Embarrassing behaviour, disgusting location, dishonest management.

My friends and I stayed here for a night back in December and it was the most disgusting place I’ve ever laid my head to rest. We would’ve felt cleaner sleeping in the streets. It is FILTHY. The bathrooms are so disgusting and dirty that we couldn’t set foot in them and had to make alternative arrangements to shower. At least the receptionist was nice, but the nicest thing she could’ve done is give us our money back and not allow us into those cesspits they’re calling bedrooms. Do not ever stay here until the environmental health officers have declared it safe for human accommodation. When booking, you might think that you’ll be the lucky one and might have the better experience, you will not. Heed my warning.

It's a lovely bar with a great view, but NINE EURO for a draught Duvel?! No wonder it was almost empty when other bars were bustling. We went to another place where we got two beers for the same price (and good ones).

Tourist trap but still fun to swing in for a round. Very hot in the sun on the balcony. Beautiful views. Taplist on the board doesn't match with that is on draft. They tried to pour mine from a bottle when I ordered draft and I had to stop them. It was surprising because Belgium is a beer mecca and most beer lovers want draft beers when paying premium prices. Hours are short and they close early. Which is strange as it's the best place for an evening beer!

Fantastic place. Only visited here once during our few days in Brugge as it’s very expensive. Will call-in next time we’re in town…just for one!

With a stuning view over the center/ big square of Bruges, Duvelorium Beer Bar is a nice, cosy place to enjoy something to drink while watching the people walking, historical and traditional Belgian buildings or simply savoring the life itself.

If you think you know gin, you don’t. This place is next-next-next level. An absolute must go of you want an insane cocktail experience.

Can not recommend this place enough. If you enjoy gin, or want to try gin for the first time this is the place to be. Seating is very limited, but owner Edward will accommodate as best he can. Not only are there a ton of different gins, which most if not all Edward can tell you about, he also has plenty of different mixers and garnishes to keep your drinks festive and delightful. Food is also served, like the meat platter. All in all a great experience to be had there.

Fantastic gin place for gin lovers or if your new to gin. Theres a vast selection of gins and tonic waters. The owner knows his gins and recommend a gin for you just on a description of what you fancy. Small food platters are served here and would highly recommend a visit here. To many gins to choose from as there was over 400 when we visited.

This place has an incredible collection of gins, and Edward really knows a lot about each and every one of them! He curated exciting tastings for us, which were extremely enjoyable (and every gin came with its own unique garnish!). Plus there was some lovely classic jazz playing in the background. Highly recommended!

If I could give 10 stars I would! Edward was the most accommodating individual I have ever met. He took the time to explain everything in detail provide amazing recommendations. He even kept the bar open past closing time to talk to us more and share our stories. He is truly an expert at his craft. We will be coming back! You must stop here and visit when you are in Bruges.

I loved the food and the coffee (cortado with soy milk). My family who are US bagel aficionados said that bagels are better in the US. Since I can’t eat bagels in the USA because I’m gluten free there but I can eat gluten in Europe as food quality is better, I really enjoyed my bagel with peanut butter, banana and speculoos crumbles. Oh and the desserts were amazing!!! The people are super friendly and the atmosphere is charming. Definitely would come back.

I tried the Rudolf bagel, but it wasn’t really to my taste — the flavors didn’t quite come together for me. The place could be a bit cleaner, and I was also a bit surprised that my Rudolf bagel and an Americano came to €22, since the menu listed them for around €11 and €5. On a positive note, I really liked the soap with the scrub in the restroom — could you please tell me what brand it was?

Such a cute brunch place in Brugge ✨ They serve really good coffee and fun tea options but the star of the menu are definitely the gigantic bagels with unique flavours - I had mine with apples, honey, spicy chicken and cheese 🫶 The coffee also is really good - its worth just coming for that ☕️ Its better to book in advance if its a weekend for sure ✔️

This place is ONE excellent dining option in Bruges. As a small family run restaurant you can tell they put an emphasis on the quality of each of the dishes they serve. The fries were absolutelty delicious and being homemade from real potatos makes them standout. Flemish stew was also delicious. It may feel pricier than other dining options in the town but not with much and for the quality it is worth it. Plus, the atmosphere in the outside garden was lovely.

We had a lovely experience in this hidden and charming restaurant. There are traditional Belgian dishes. Their specialty of meatballs was delicious. We sat outside on the terrace and the atmosphere was brilliant. When we visited the door of the restaurant was really stiff, we nearly thought that it was closed, you have to push it hard. We were received, I believe by the owner and she was really friendly. Highly recommended.

This place was our all time favorite of Belgium after 3 years of living in country. Very limited tables run by a family so a reservation is a true must. Over the years the hostess even remembered the family members i brought there. So I am writing this review so that they always have plenty of business, because we no longer need it to be a secret. The atmosphere and service were always perfect. The meals are truly wonderfully done. Not a tourist experience in the slightest, but rather representative of the Belgium we came to know and love.

The restaurant itself looks cute and the atmosphere is great. The food is very good but the main dishes are a little “heavy”. The young waiter was super nice, but the lady waitress was a little “sassy”. My husband was in a meeting and got there late, and she said at least three times when I asked her things: “IF he comes”, which sounds odd to me since of course he would come if I reserved a table for two. Sounds to me like she was trying to say that maybe I would get ghosted, which is very funny to me. I’ve been traveling with him for years since he has meetings in different countries, and never heard that kind of stuff while waiting for service. But in general, good experience for tradicional Belgium food.

Lovely peaceful setting away from the crowds but still very central. Delicious food - I had the meatballs with cherry and mushroom sauce and it was great. My friend had the fish which she said was very good too. We shared the warm apple pie and Speculoos cake for dessert and both were magnificent. Very nice lady owner who served us. We sat outside in the pretty garden but I can imagine indoors would be lovely in the winter as it’s very cosy. Be sure to book in advance!!

This restaurant is absolutely adorable, such a lovely, cozy place with a truly homely atmosphere. The lady who welcomed us (I believe she’s also the owner) was incredibly kind and attentive. We had a local dark beer she recommended and it was so good. And for food, we tried the meatballs in sauce (fantastic!) and the shrimp croquettes, which were also delicious. Everything was beautifully presented on the plate. She even kindly let us step outside to have a beer and a cigarette on the terrace, even though it was officially closed, such a nice gesture! This is by far my favorite restaurant in Brugge at the moment. Warm greetings from Croatia 💛

Cosy restaurant with creative dishes, and a solid menu for beers and wine. The ambiance was refreshing, playing music i'd listen to at home, and the staff were friendly and accomodated us as a walkin on a saturday evening. Sweet potato fries were excellent

Loved this place! Very chic and great atmosphere.It was full of locals so we knew it would be good. The waiters were lively and friendly and the food delicious. Very reasonable pricing.

A beatifull ambient and amazing. The workers were very good and very nice people. The food was amazing, if you try the langoustines with calvados butter you will love it!

We liked what we eat. They were so delicious and the service was perfect, people were great. They are a fine dining restaurant and serve tapas style for sharing. It’s recommended selecting multiple things in the menu and tasting as much as you can. You won’t be regret. The prices are quite okay with tastes, preparations and portions. We paid 25-30€ per person with one beverage p.p.

Absolutely top notch food, drinks were terrific too, and the service was professional yet super friendly too. Nice neighbourhood location, and just a great spot overall!

Came to Mojo for a cocktail and some frites. The cocktails were outstanding and the service was friendly. We would definitely go back. Good frites too!
