Indian restaurant
Asian fusion restaurant
Restaurant
Royal India, located on Tkalc ceva Street in Zagreb, is a popular Indian restaurant known for its rich warm decor and extensive menu featuring traditional tandoor-cooked dishes. The restaurant offers a variety of options for vegetarians and also serves Croatian wines to complement the spicy Indian cuisine. Over the years, Zagreb's restaurant scene has seen a renaissance with the addition of various international cuisines, including Indian.
In the very center of Zagreb, on Tkalciceva Street, there is this Indian restaurant that I accidentally entered and was delighted with. The selection of food is very large and everything is extremely delicious. You could write a whole novel about spices because everything is so rich in flavors and really delicious if you like them. The restaurant staff is very polite and unobtrusive, which is very important to me. If you ask them, they will be happy to help you with instructions and advice on what is best for you.

The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully decorated, gives you an instant desi feeling. Food was good, spicy as required but for me was somewhat less salted, so taste could be better I think. Hopefully next time! We tried their Samusa, Vegetable biriyani with Chicken vindaloo. Service was fast. Recommended! 👌
Avinanda C — Google review
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Simply the best Indian food I ever had in my entire Europe-stay duration (4 years!). Authentic Indian taste. Must definitely visit. Good quantity as well.
Shivani B — Google review
One of the best biryanis I’ve ever had, perfectly spiced, with a good balance of flavors. The waitress was friendly, and the food was truly delicious.
Zoheir T — Google review
Unfortunately our second time here and a bit disappointed the food wasn’t as tasty as 2 years ago and my son said the meat tasted fishy and it did. I feel sad as we were really looking forward to the meal and it just wasn’t up to scratch and don’t think we’ll be returning, sadly. The worst Indian food my family & myself have ever had! I don’t recommend it at all & a place to avoid in the future! A waste of time and money! My son never complains about his food but sadly he did about the food served here.
Jennifa H — Google review
You are roaming Zagreb and the aroma of yumminess hits you. You have to have this food. You must. We were quickly seated. A friendly server suggested portions and what’s good (hint everything). We have been traveling for a bit and craving desi food. And boy are we glad we found this restaurant. We had samosas for appetizers. This was a big serving and tasted awesome. The butter chicken tasted excellent. The tikka fresh and served on a hot plate. Most importantly not with the red dye which is not common in the US. I loved the biryani, especially how it was cooked in a dough cover like it’s supposed to be. We really enjoyed our experience here. The staff from the host to the servers is friendly and made our experience special. Really loved the place and hope to be back.
Ali R — Google review
Was hoping for a bit better experience here. On a Sunday evening 8.30 the restaurant was full and almost unbearably noisy - including families with children playing loud games on their phones and couriers entering and leaving all the time. I wish the restaurant would do something to limit the noise i.e. acoustics, asking people to limit the noise and better interior design. It was a very stressful evening. Had chicken tikka grill and butter chicken. Food portions are the smallest we have ever had in an Indian restaurant. The grill was good cooked well but did not taste of much compared to other Indian food. The butter chicken was well spiced but a little undercooked. Prices are only okay, considering that you have to add naan and rice to the main dish. The service was okay, not the often humble Indian service but also not rude. Would only eat here again if it is not so busy.
Ali K — Google review
Really nice food! The lamb was really exquisite. The rice and garlic bread were great extras. The chicken tandoori was a bit dry for my taste but good. Shout out to the Indian Typical Lemonade which is sweet and salty at the same time. Perfect to wash the spicy out of the mouth

Asian fusion restaurant
SOI Fusion, located in Zagreb, offers a small but delectable menu of Asian fusion street food. The restaurant is known for its flavorful dishes like Tonkotsu ramen with pork broth and glazed char siu, as well as Tuna poke with sushi rice and raw tuna. The establishment has gained popularity for being one of the first to introduce ramen in the area.
Delicious food, beautiful building. I would recommend this place! Saturdays are busy and I’d recommend making reservations for weekends. Prices were okay! First time in Croatia so maybe things are fine differently but the glass of wine seemed stingy. When asked, the bartender said it’s a normal pour. Staff was okay.
Mags — Google review
I was super stuffed after the lunch at this place. Everything seemed delicious that I ended up over-ordering. Only now days later finally I remember to give my review for this place. One of the best Asian food restaurants in Zagreb. Although they might have been altered to suit the taste of the locals, it’s understandable as they placed themselves as a “fusion” restaurant.
Marga P — Google review
Delicious Ramen. The tonkatsu Ramen broth is really tasty, ingredients are top quality, definitely one of the best ramens I had (and I had a lot). Cooking of the egg could be improved (slightly overcooked), but not a big deal. Highly recommend 👍🏻.

So glad we found this place! After a long day, this was just what we needed. Absolutely amazing food, everything we had was delicious. The chicken gyoza and karaage chicken bun was moist and tasty. Then the noodles and the pork belly donburi was just incredible. So tasty with tender pork. It was all perfect! I would definitely recommend. Staff were great too and it was busy for a Tuesday evening.
Bav M — Google review
I love all kinds of Asian food and this was a hit! You won't get overwhelmed by the menu because it's carefully selected. Pork belly bao was amazing, as was tuna poke bowl. Tuna was well marinated, rice well seasoned and I loved the choice of toppings. My boyfriend had gyozas and karaage chicken donburi - he enjoyed both. I highly recommend reserving a table. We came on Monday evening and I don't think we'd have a place to sit if we hadn't reserved a table. The atmosphere is vibrant and international, after all the restaurant is situated in the courtyard of a hostel and beneath Swankey's terrace. We spoke English with the waitress which was honestly no problem for us. We were also served quickly even tho the place was full. The only downside of our experience were the drinks! I'm not a wine snob but I like to have a good glass of wine, this one unfortunately wasn't it (Dobra berba "Biello") 😬 And ice cubes in my boyfriend's drink had an unpleasant smell/taste. So all in all, we'll definitely come back and try different drinks 😄
Mia G — Google review
Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the green curry. The banana dessert was to die for — absolutely delicious! I’m definitely coming back for more. The staff were super polite and nice. ✨️🌸
Maja D — Google review
We ordered the Khao Soi Ramen — it was delicious and quite unusual, I tried this kind of ramen for the first time! The interior was interesting, and the friendly service was also a nice surprise — at our request, we were moved to another table (since one of the rooms was a bit stuffy). We’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! 😊

LOCATION & ATMOSPHERE Great location, one tram stop from the main square, atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. SERVICE Professional, friendly, everything was very smooth. PRICE Actually very good prices regarding the location, 12-15€ per dish on average. FOOD Chicken katsu is what I took, decent portion, great flavours, I was very satisfied. OVERALL One of those places where you feel that no matter what you take, it will be good because they hold a certain standard. Come and enjoy, this restaurant has my recommendation.

Located on Tkalciceva street in downtown Zagreb, Curry Bowl is a newly opened restaurant run by two Sri Lankan brothers. Despite some negative feedback about service and uncertainty about the meat served, the preparation of traditional Sri Lankan dishes like Kotthu Chicken, Deviled Beef, and Curry Chicken is said to be authentic and worth trying.
OMG! What an amazing top class restaurant. Our lunch at Curry Bowl Restaurant at Zagreb without a doubt one of the finest meals I ever had. The food was Journey each course ( Starter plate, Black pork kottu, Kiri Malu Curry, Home Made Ginger Beer& unique ice Tee and amazing delicious dessert) showcase the chef‘s mastery of flavors and techniques. All came with a big good explanation through „Lahiru‘ made through out with a nice hospitality. Hats off to him! We proudly recommended to you all have big look there! Enjoy! And good luck!

Outstanding food and ambience. Vegetarian and vegan options too, very clearly marked. Huge portion size. Don't miss the add on pineapple chutney it's sweet but it's amazing.
Ravi A — Google review
We had read some good reviews on TripAdvisor so we decided to come here for dinner. Another reason was availability of veg food which is little difficult in Zagreb. we were not disappointed. It was a small place in a pedestrian lane which was full of bar and restaurants with lively ambience. We had veg curry with rice and deviled vegetables which was quite good. The tables and chairs could have been better. The service was fast and efficient...
Balkrishna S — Google review
Visited here on our first night based on previous reviews as we had booked an authentic meal for our second night and fancied something a little different. The menu is limited but still plenty to choose from. The mixed stater was fine but nothing special, however the slow cooked pork curry was very, very good. The service was not overly attentive and lacked interest.
J C — Google review
Found this really cool place on a busy road in Zagreb with seating outside and a really good atmosphere. The have some nice vegan options. I Had a really good sri lanka stir fry made with vegetables and soya chunks in a blend of spices and a sauce. Served with rice and Pol sambol, which is a mix of spices and grated coconut.
Lukasser — Google review
It was our first time trying Srilankan cuisine and we loved it. The ingredients were fresh and the dishes were flavourful. Infact, the portions were large. I would definitely recommend the Kaha Bath, the turmeric rice. We tried Chicken curry, Pork curry and Fish curry, all three with Kaha rice and perfectly spiced to our taste. Prabhan(i hope it’s spelled correctly) was so polite and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He even gave us the special Srilankan curry powder. Can’t wait to try them in my dishes. Highly recommended for those who want a quality meal with very friendly folks!
Sulakshana K — Google review
The flavors of each dish are an exquisite combination of fresh ingredients. The concept of customizing the spice level is a brilliant idea that caters to all tastes. The fried rice with beef and mixer appetizer platter were so amazing, without a doubt, the culinary experience at this place is highly recommended. I hope to return soon to try other delicacies on the menu.
Daniel V — Google review
As a Malaysian being in Croatia for 11 days, I was already craving for spice. curry bowl had so many on their menu and even provides, spicy, level options, which is great. It had enough taste, and the spice was really effective🥵 Some of my friends think that they are ginger. Beer is a tattoo too sweet, but it’s OK for me. You may want to adjust the sugar level according to your preference.M Would strongly recommend. Not to mention that their Service was also super great and friendly.

Japanese restaurant
Asian restaurant
Restoran Izakaya is a popular Asian restaurant located just outside the city center of Zagreb. It's a great spot for after-work cocktails, private dinners, or romantic dates. The menu features ten signature dishes created by their sushi masters, along with a variety of exotic bites like gyoza, tartar, tataki, and tempura spring rolls. The restaurant offers a beautifully decorated space perfect for relaxed gatherings and has received praise for its cozy ambiance and attentive staff.
This restaurant has been repeatedly awarded a Michelin star year after year — and it truly deserves it. Its reputation in Zagreb is well-earned and widely recognized. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles, and the atmosphere is somewhat dark and mysterious, adding to the experience. Once the food arrived, it was immediately clear that this is top-tier Japanese cuisine, with flavors that perfectly matched the impeccable presentation. My favorite dish was the pork belly bun, and I will definitely return multiple times. The only minor critique is the music, which currently plays pop from the radio rather than matching the Japanese theme — I hope this is adjusted before my next visit.
Nikola T — Google review
the ingredients are of good quality, hence the food tastes fine. we had some sushi, noodles and tempura shrimp. all were nice. nothing extraordinary though. we expected a bit more from a michelin guide listed spot so maybe a bit disappointed because of that. the staff was very nice and helpful. the ambiance is alright
Ufuk — Google review
One of my all time favorite japanese restaurant, we had gyoza pouches salmon mixed sashimi and shrimp burger super tasty the presentation is superb and the staff are so friendly , if you live japanese cuisine this place is a must 👌

Finally decent sushi. It's actually very hard to find those in Croatia. Amazing service. They even have somelie ( that can't find the difference between rose and red wine but ok😅) Book the table a day before, despite the location the restaurant are full in the evening. But it worth it!

SILK in Zagreb is a spacious restaurant tucked away in a hidden alley, offering an unforgettable dining experience with its incredible interior design. The menu features a variety of Asian dishes such as chicken katsu, pad thai, stir-fries, gyoza, and sushi. The restaurant also offers freshly prepared Pan-Asian street food at its location on Masarykova 18. Visitors have praised the exceptional service and delicious dishes like the Chicken Silky Wings.
Food and service are fantastic here. We had been travelling in the Balkans for 2 weeks and sorely missed Asian food. Mum had the beef noodles - springy beef noodles with lean beef cubes and tasty broth. I had the salmon teriyaki with rice, salmon was fresh and juicy but the fried shallots were a weird touch (shallots go with Chinese cuisine, not Japanese!) The quality of food here more than passed our stringent SG palates. 😆 To top it off, we ate our food in the midst of live music from a duo - dudes were really skilled in the guitar! 👍🏻
G Z — Google review
Saw how many good rates they had got, so we had to try it. Arrived by 7-8PM, finished around, still a little too early, maybe, because they didn't have many guests yet. Located in an alley, really shady, but beautiful inside the restaurant. Wanted to order their soup so much, but their gas was out of order because of the road construction has turned off the gas! 😒 Waiting on the food took a while, felt like 10-15 min. for the starter= gyoza Duck 3pcs. Afterwards waited 15 min. for the main course; Sushi was good, nothing extraordinary than good plate set. Beautiful interior and cosy atmosphere, even though there weren't a lot of guests to make the atmosphere more attractive. Also ordered the crispy duck, it was OK. The portions are adequate: you get 4x sushi rolls per order, and could've eaten a 5th. Would say it's overpriced, and think you can get a better taste and more amount for the price, 500meters away. Ordered a dessert, waited around 15 min. "Sticky rice with coconut and mango", not enough coconut taste, also needed more sweetness, the mango was in small bits and was frozen inside, I guess the mango isn't fresh. Ordered for 86€, no tips added - not recommended regarding the food.

My fav restaurant in Zagreb so far :) And I really love it and I would recommend to everyone to visit this place and have such great experience and delight with amazingly delicious food 🍱 First of all, it’s extremely yummy, delicious and tasty dishes which you want to eat slowly to enjoy every piece of it! It’s also look very beautifully, real work of art! As big fan of sushi I visited ALL restaurants with sushi in Zagreb and that’s is my favourite one and I’m going back here again many many times. Secondly, drinks! They have mocktails and I tried 2/4 already and I might say they’re soo magically tasty. If you don’t drink alcohol and you wanna try something besides basic water/coke/lemonade-you must try it! I would drink them all day long Thirdly, service in restaurants! Waiters are very friendly, can help you to choose something and just very nice and polite! Also the waiting time after ordering is quite fast Fourthly, location is great, it’s in city centre and it’s easy to find. Inside of a restaurant you can enjoy fancy and stylish design and relaxing music I’m very happy to find such place! It’s literally brilliant among a coal :) Bringing me a good mood for a long time

We were driving from Brussels to Athens and did a stopover in Zagreb for the night. As we were walking we came across the restaurant sign and decided to check it out. It’s deep at the end of an alleyway don’t miss it. Nice atmosphere and two sisters were performing with a guitar English and local songs. Ordered and what a positive surprise. The food was fresh, tasty and overall well prepared and presented but the highlight was the music. The sisters killed it at ABBA, Simon & Garfunkel and other 70-00s songs. It was great food with delightful music. Make sure you go when the girls are there. Loved them.
Stavros P — Google review
I am very confused with the directive of this place, since izakajas are considered a place to hang out, drink and have a great time, not a luxury... Yet this place falls somewhere in between, a casual urban mixed design with a beautiful bar, nice decor (besides the bathroom - that's where you can see it is not a fancy place), amaaaazing service and good food. So, if it isn't too notch fancy, ain't a casual burger bar, how do they argument the price? I am not sure how. Did it blow my mind? No. Did I eat well? Yes. Was the food spectacular? No. I was disappointed with the sushi and Hong Kong udon noodles and in awe of Thai curry! So it is really, a choice of taste and experience. I really wish the 11 euros 4 pieces of sushi blew my mind, but they didn't, and I can bet you I can find better at better value. My regards to the chefs and the staff, they are not responsible for the inflation 😂
Acy V — Google review
Highly recommended, the food was so gooood. Good for the price and the staffs are accommodating especially to the person who served our foods. Special mention, Mr. Lawrence. Kuddos to him..❤️

A hidden gem in the heart of Zagreb. We had to go through a tunnel to get through. The atmosphere was muted and cosy. The food was soo good. I had the crunch! aubergine sticks, the summer rolls, the pepper beef with rice and the mango sticky rice. Everything was amazing! We went back the next day for lunch because it was so good. The staff was friendly and efficient too. Oh and the mocktails are amazing! Highly recommend.

Located just a short stroll from the Museum of Broken Relationships, Melt - Gelato & Brunch Bar is a charming cafe nestled on RadicevaIt street in Zagreb. Its vibrant pink interior and all-day breakfast menu make it an ideal spot to start your day before exploring the old upper town. The cafe is known for its popular brunch options, including smoothie bowls, granola, oatmeals, eggs, bacon, avocado dishes, and gluten-free bread.
Great value with good vibes and atmosphere they have. The gelato 🍨 that they have totally recommend the salted chocolate and the hassle nuts 🥜 one The breakfast as well. Thank you for having us.

The restaurant offers high-quality dishes with well-balanced flavors, and my overall experience was satisfying. Please note that some menu items are only available during specific times of the day, so it’s advisable to check availability before ordering. I tried the eggs with burrata, which were excellent, and the Americano was perfectly brewed

Delicious, fresh and the perfect size! I could cry. Pitaya and acai are big parts of my diet back home. Fruit in general is. I have been traveling across Europe with my husband on our honeymoon so I haven't had nearly my normal fruit intake and being able to indulge in a beautiful pitaya bowl here at Melt made my soul sing.

As an Italian, I have to say this place really surprised me in a very good way. A few days ago, while we were out shopping, someone very dear to me insisted on bringing me here to try this ice cream, and she was absolutely right. 😄 My Italian taste is quite demanding when it comes to gelato, but I have to admit the quality here is truly impressive, even by Italian standards. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is kind, and the whole experience was just perfect. The person I was with enjoyed it as much as I did, and that says it all. Definitely a place I’ll be happy to return to next time I’m in Zagreb. 🇮🇹🍦✨

Khala Restaurant & Bar, located on the renowned Ivana Tkalc ca street in Zagreb, is a popular spot for evening outings. The restaurant offers Japanese fusion cuisine with dishes like carpaccio, sushi, woks, dim sum, and poke that are seasonally adjusted to the climate. In addition to its captivating Oriental ambience and impressive interior, Khala boasts a stunning terrace and unwavering commitment to top-notch service.
Lovely Spot for a Refreshing Break in Zagreb! Arrived in Zagreb today on a very hot day, and the first thing we wanted was some refreshment—so we stopped at this beautiful establishment. I ordered a Gin and Tonic. They didn’t have my favorite gin, but the staff recommended a great substitute, and I was not disappointed. The drink was served in an amazing glass, which added a nice touch. Our table was a bit wobbly at first, but the waitress immediately offered to fix it—and she did, with a smile. Great service! My kids also had their drinks and brought sushi with them, which the staff kindly allowed. That kind of flexibility is rare and definitely worth mentioning. We had a great experience overall and will definitely be coming back!

Overall a great place with a great menu, tasty food, decent service, and a great atmosphere. Very well shaded outdoor section and stylish interior. Food was good, but the Soba noodles with duck, while very tasty, was a bit too salty. They should significantly reduce the sodium content, perhaps by cutting the amount of soy sauce they use by 75% and allow the customer to add soy sauce as they like, since it is already on the table. It was very salty, but still good. The chicken salad was very good. The chicken spring rolls were much more like chicken croquettes with minced meat and breadcrumbs, not with the usual crispy / crunchy spring roll dough you might find at a more traditional Asian restaurant. They tasted ok, but they really aren’t “spring rolls”. I would suggest renaming this dish as “Asian chicken croquettes”. The crispy tuna roll was good, but rather small (4 pieces) and also not very crispy. The atmosphere and music was really great and our waiter was kind. A bit expensive compared with other nearby restaurants, but overall a nice experience. I would definitely go back, but I would order differently.

We enjoyed the dinner. Reservation needed. We ate sushi it was tasty. Parking is problem, better to come with taxi. For parents, important to know it is not child friendly at night. Inside is a night club at night after one point with club music. It is easy to continue your night inside at the bar after your dinner. It is located in the heart of the city so you can explore the city earlier and continue dining and clubbing there.

I've never sat here, so I don't know what drinks or food they have, or if the staff is capable, but it looks nice and expensive. Also, during summer it's super crowded. No parking, not accessible with public transportation, lots of people that think that they have money, lots of women with 5 layers of makeup, if that's your schtick, then feel free to visit 🙂
Tomislav K — Google review
I had crispy tuna roll and it was delish. Walked through here several times over the week that I was in Zagreb so finally got to try. The music was always really good, chill ‘house’ type vibes with a DJ when I walked past… now that I’m here just pop music which makes me want to move on (hence the single dish). Really beautiful outdoor dining. Good beer, yummy food.

Khala is new restaurant with terrace. Cosy interior but little bit artificial there is something missing for total experience. Offer is great but we didn't manage to try everything. Maybe some other time. We had vegetarian rools. Grilled vegetables. Beef rools with truffles Spicy rice with chicken Food was delicious If you want something different definitely need to stop and eat something.

Great place, nice decor and friendly staff. Menu has items which are out of ordinary, and all food was well served and prepared. Price is a bit higher for the portion size. This could be improved.

Khala, khala, lalalaa... :) Very happy with all the dishes I tried at this place and that they even made some special requests for me! So... service is top and ambience is beautiful. I definitely want to dine in this restaurant again and can recommend it to you.

Ramen restaurant
Located in the heart of Zagreb, Torikaya Ramen Bar is the city's first ramen bar, offering a variety of traditional Japanese soups and other popular Asian dishes. The menu features four types of ramen, including Tantanmen, Miso chicken, Tempura shrimp, and Vegan curry soup. In addition to their signature ramen bowls, Torikaya also serves Beef udon, Beef mazemen, and Japanese gyoza with chicken and pork.
If you're looking for an authentic taste of Asia right in the heart of the city, this restaurant is a must-visit. Located in the city center Zagreb, the terrace offers stunning views of the main landmarks, making it a perfect spot for both sightseeing and dining. The terrace itself is spacious, with comfortable chairs and airy seating that lets in plenty of natural light. On busier days, the indoor area feels a bit cozier, but it still provides a welcoming atmosphere. What makes this place truly special is the immersive experience of Asian cuisine. The food is prepared and served by Asian who speak English and are happy to guide you in choosing dishes, ensuring an authentic and personalized experience. The menu is not extensive, but that’s precisely the point—they focus on authentic, high-quality dishes rather than quantity. I also found the service to be relatively fast, which adds to the overall enjoyable dining experience. In short, whether you’re a local or a visitor, this restaurant gives you a little slice of Asia in the heart of the city. Highly recommended!

I was seriously craving ramen and ended up here—and I’m so glad I did! The food absolutely hit the spot—rich broth, perfect noodles, and everything was full of flavor. On top of that, our server Kris was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Great food and great service! Definitely coming back!

Went for lunch. The Korean style noodles were very good. It’s best to really mix up everything in the bowl to get the peanut flavours and. Bulgogi stock onto the noodles. Service is efficient.

In the middle of the city I found this place. During the summer nice seating outside. The menu is very compact, but offers everything. Service is very friendly and professional. I had the Ramen with Tempura shrimps and fried chicken as a starter. It was delicious.
Henryk F — Google review
We chose outdoor seating and had about a 15-minute wait. The ramen was pretty average and the place didn’t have many locals. Prices felt high for the quality. Conveniently walkable from the square.

We went to Torikaya yesterday, for the first time. I've heard good reviews from few people and they were true. The food was great and so tasty.. it was amazing. Service was also great. Can't wait to go there again 👌

Cocktail bar
Time Restaurant & Bar is a trendy and sophisticated spot located just off the main square in Zagreb. The menu offers an extensive selection of Asian-inspired fusion dishes, blending fresh Adriatic ingredients with traditional eastern flavors. The restaurant sources many of its ingredients from nearby markets and coastal areas, ensuring high-quality and flavorful meals. In the evening, the bar transforms into a late-night club with a refined atmosphere, offering a variety of spirits, beers, and wines.
Arguably the best sushi in Zagreb with extremely fresh fish and perfectly cooked rice. Amazing Japanese style dumplings and great desserts. The prices are on the higher end of the scale, but overall it's worth it. I can't seem to stop coming back. :) P.S. Go for the fatty tuna variant. It's so much better.
Daniel L — Google review
It is lunch time and we are the only ones having lunch. The place looks nice. The food looks good but it was so incredibly salty that it destroyed the whole tasting experience. It is quite expensive too. The time is a good bar but a restaurant to avoid.
Nicolas G — Google review
I had a vegetarian curry, which is quite good and surprisingly innovative in terms of curry. I also had a order of avocado roll. Somehow I don’t like them although I think they taste good. The only thing I’d criticize about this restaurant is that it smells like smoke too much, it affected my dining experience.
Shiuan C — Google review
Good restaurant for celebratory gatherings. They’ve got any type of best sellers for the fans of American style sushi. The ambience of this place is extremely nice and cozy, so you can visit it even only for a drink or two.
Farawayquest — Google review
Very high quality of food (Michelin worthy) and amazing presentation. The service was great and the surrounding as hipster as it can get. I would recommend the tasting menu (a bit of everything).

Asian food in Zagreb centar! Great place for lunch or dinner. Amazing sushi! Awesome waiters and great ambient. Food is prepared as you order it, nothing is done upfront. You have to make reservation since they are always crowded but ita worth it! If you come early or want to stay later you have bar there and you can party there. Staff is great and everything is perfect. I definitly recommend this restoran and bar to who ever loves great sushi or asian food and wants to experience great ambient. Prices are on the higher scale but it is worth it.

I absolutely love this place. One of my favorite places in the city, coffee place, wine place, sushi place..depends what you need at the moment, but it has great energy, staff is very polite, place is cozy, elegant and very stylish. Sometimes I go there just to drink glass of wine and relax from busy day, but definitely try what they offer. My usual choice is sushi but also other fusion what they offer is very good. Try their famous ice cream frozen with nitro (Cheese cake icecream, omg delicious❤️). Wine list is more then good. Also, place is good in autumn and winter for night out. Try it, it is just glance away from the main square. You will always find time for time😎
Marjeta K — Google review
Went there for new year's Eve. Got a bit excited because it was Michelin recommended with Asian Fusion food. Food was average at best. The ramen they had on the menu was made from spaghetti. The fish curry was very average and the maki was also sub par. I'm Asian, so most probably I was expecting something more different, but I can tell that the fusion part was the restaurant trying to suit the local taste. Waiter was kind. But service was extremely slow. Won't recommend.

Asian restaurant
Kiyomi is a trendy and upscale Asian fusion restaurant with a stunning Japanese-inspired interior. It's recommended to make reservations in advance as it quickly gets fully booked. The menu offers a variety of Asian staples such as sushi, dim sum, robata, and Korean beef. The staff is predominantly non-Croatian speaking but friendly. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by the receptionist and can enjoy drinks at the bar while waiting for their table.
One of the best dinners we had during our trip. The owner curated the menu based on his travels. Everything we ordered was delicious. The sashimi and pork belly will melt in your mouth. Cocktails are made to prepare your palette before your meal, as well as after. Stop by if you get the chance!
Sarah C — Google review
Kiyomi is a truly unique restaurant for Zagreb. From the moment you enter, you get a sense of class and sophistication. The hostess welcomes you and guides you to the restaurant, which is tucked behind a screen and not visible from the entrance. The walk past the glass-enclosed kitchen allows you to see the chefs preparing food with meticulous precision. As for the food — there’s nothing to criticize. The Japanese and Asian cuisine is exceptional, with flawless presentation. The staff are professional and friendly, always with a smile. Dining at Kiyomi felt like a truly world-class experience, and I look forward to returning. My personal favorite was the Korean skewer with kimchi — absolutely outstanding.

Wow! Japanese food at its finest in the historic city of Croatia, Zagreb. I will dare say that it is even better than Japan! My only suggestion is have fresh ripe mango on their mango sticky rice. Otherwise, food is excellent, customer service superb and friendly; atmosphere is relaxing. If you’re craving Japanese food or anything Asian, come here!!! Loved it!
Rhodalyn C — Google review
Marko was fantastic and so helpful. He had a deep knowledge of the food, cocktails, and wine. The kitchen was run with precision, like a clock, with expert expedition. I watched them the entire 2 hours that we dined. The greeting, seating, menus, service, presentation, and food were all superb. The sushi, dim sum, tempura, and banana bread/toffee ice cream all sublime. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place is absolutely top! From the very first moment, the service was on the highest level, starting with the warm welcome from the hostess and continuing with every single person who took care of us throughout the lunch. The sashimi was exceptional, fresh and beautifully presented. A truly memorable dining experience, we can’t wait to come back! We need such a restaurant in Split 🥰
Split C — Google review
Solid Japanese–Chinese fusion spot. After a few days of tasting menus, I was craving rice and dim sum, so I decided to see what a highly rated Asian restaurant in Eastern Europe looked like. It felt less touristy than the well-known ramen shop in the main square, though that didn’t automatically mean better food. Getting a seat without a reservation was tricky. At 8 p.m. on a Thursday, the dining room was packed (all the other popular Asian restaurants were also super busy). I eventually settled for a bar seat. Service was quick, though I did wish the bar faced the open kitchen instead of a wall. The glass-walled prep area was right behind me, and it would’ve added some energy to the experience. Food was a mix of Japanese/sushi and Chinese, and most of the popular dishes seemed to be the latter. Along with the chirashi don and an eel hand roll, I got the lobster chang feun and the dim sum. People who sat next to me raved about the chang feun, but I thought the lobster meat was a bit rubbery and its flavors weren’t all that interesting. The dim sum, on the other hand, was genuinely good. Juicy filling, nicely wrapped, and topped with cooked fish roe for a fun texture. The eel hand roll was fine, and the chirashi don was better than expected. Generous with the fish, and I liked the shrimp. It wasn’t the delicate botan ebi I’m used to, but something firmer, probably local, with an oddly satisfying chew. Perhaps not the best Asian restaurant in town, but if you’re craving Asian food in Zagreb, this is one of the better options to scratch that itch.
Jea K — Google review
Went for the all you can eat dim sum on Mondays, the food was good with interesting flavor combos however, some of the dim sum's dough was overpowering the flavor of the filling. The way it worked was by them bringing you one by one each portion of the menu and then if you have time left they do it again, over all left satisfied and full. The service was good and the drinks were very flavorful and overall the dishes were aesthetically pleasing.
Eva F — Google review
We’re truly in awe. 😍 Every detail was above and beyond — from the ambience and vibe to the food and drinks, everything was top notch. 🤩 But the real highlight was Michele, our wonderful hostess. 🥰 She was incredibly attentive, polite, professional, kind, and warm. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and their amazing staff for a truly heavenly experience. ☺️✨
