Lovely bar tucked away in garden just down from the railway station. Good prices, friendly service. An oasis in the heat- no camels were sighted! Good range of draft craft beers as well as the usual suspects in a bottle.

This place does not deserve even 1 star. The first time we had Disaronno sour, it was the the best cocktail that we ever had. The bartender is a guy who's a professional cocktail maker. He's the best! It started going downhill since that guy left. The waitress there now makes the worst cocktail and has absolutely the worst attitude. This cocktail literally tastes like orange juice now. Paid 50 Kunas for this disaster. Where is the cherry? It looks nothing like the picture any more. I bet they can't open this place for too long if they keep having these kind of people who with poor work ethic. Will never go there again!

Avoid! If you don’t want wait for a long time to be served. Unfortunately extremely poor and slow service but here is a very nice spot to take a look on the beauty building of the Croatian National theatar.

I‘ve never been to a Café worse than this. The waitress seemed like she did not want to be there, just like us! Our order was completely messed up but she insisted that it was correct. On top of that the coffee tasted old and the milk like it had gone bad. I would friendly, yet strongly advise against visiting this establishment.

In Central position in zagreb, in front of the opera house, do not serve food during the summer but cocktails are very well presented and extremely good. It is your place if you don't mind to spend a couple of euros more for a very well made cocktail. The Interior is simple and has few tables on the outside areas.

I used to really love this place and came here at least twice a week but then they changed the menu from casual lunch and finger food to some kind of overpriced fine dining which doesn’t match the vibe of this place at all. recently they brought back a few meals from the previous menu, which was mostly perfect so I ordered something I used to love before which is duck spring rolls and the super food salad with shrimps. The duck spring rolls came unrecognisable. I will provide in the pictures below how it looked before and how it looks now. Along with the much smaller portion size those spring rolls are the top five worst things I’ve ever tasted in my life from outside they are dry and from inside they are so tasteless. The best way to describe taste is if you bought them frozen on a gas station and then microwaved them at home. The salad was okay, I would previously I would previously rate it as a 10/10 but now it’s like 8/10 it’s just a slightly bit different

The eggs Benedict were disappointingly bland, and the English muffin/bun was dry, making this place seem overrated. While the coffee was decent, there are plenty of better breakfast spots in Zagreb worth exploring.

Great. A lovely place right next to the slopes leading up to the Upper Town of Zagreb — serves great food, and makes nice drinks. Served on a beautiful patio or sit inside, with the scrambled eggs I had being nicely soft and coming with a portion of cream cheese and some toasted bread. Service was great and friendly.

Okay pub near the Cvjetni trg. We sat inside and it was an lovely atmosphere, but it was noisey alot to the point that you had to yell at. The prices shocked me because it was expensive. All in all, I recommend it to someone who loves livelier atmosphere and vintage decoration.

Good place to sit in or outside to meet with friends. It’s got two levels inside. The drinks we had were good quality and the service could be a bit faster. The waiter was serving several areas so often we could see him. Other than that it’s a nice bar with good atmosphere and music. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to have a beer or other drink. The interior is done to remember you the inside space of a ship (nothing in relation with bar's name) whit a lot of wood and a vertical open space to the upper floor. They have installed on the ceiling 4 big ventilators which look as big ship propeller. Stylish without being expensive.

We had an evening of beers and burgers at this bar. The beer selection is very extensive and the waitress helped in making our choices as we were unfamiliar with the local craft brewers. Burgers came from an onsite street food vendor. They were massive and very tasty. At €11 for a double cheeseburger (including fries) seemed pretty good value. Worth noting that the burger vendor only accepts cash (cards are fine for the bar).

This was a great find for locals and visitors alike. Great burgers and fries from the Blue Haired guy at KSS (situated within Beertija) and cold beer and cocktails from Beertija. Credit cards or euros accepted at both Beertija and KSS. Cigar and cigarette smoking is welcomed. If weather is stormy, windy or cold, Beertija has indoor and undercover seating.

A very quirky pub just on the outskirts of the city centre. A great selection of drinks, especially local beers. The pub and music is very rock themed which I loved. The atmosphere was a bit quiet, but I did visit on a Monday early evening so that's probably why. But overall, would recommend visiting for a beer or two.

We were recommended this place to try Rakhia on our vacation and it was definitely a good recommendation. Good service and good atmosphere, we got a great deal on 10 shots which was simply very fun and a great way to get a taste of the drink Only reason for no 5 stars is because the bathroom situation was bad (I didn't go but the friends I was with reported no toilet seats, a door that couldn't lock and one without a door, so I didn't feel like checking it out) and the menu was only in Croation and a little bit outdated. That wasn't terrible but it would be nice for the names of the drinks on the menu to have meaning. However, the waiter was very helpful and just recommended us some things so it wasn't really an issue

We had a fantastic night, the moment we sat down on the lush comfy chairs while the rain was trickling down we were greeted by an angel in disguise by the name of TJ. He gave us an unforgettable experience and we would recommend him to everyone visiting this majestic place. 11/10

When I first arrived to Zagreb from Canada, I was told to meet with friends at Rakhia Bar. I definitely was not disappointed! Nice place to meet people and interact. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We have been there several times within the past week already. Seems like the go to place for international students.

The atmosphere and service were great and fast, enough toilets, everything went smoothly. But we attended a sold out concert, and it was really, really uncomfortable - too many people, it got extremely hot and difficult to breath (and I'm not talking about front rows, but even in the back and close to the bars).

I was here for a Blind Guardian concert. The concert was, of course, great. The venue itself is also nice. But for this event there were to many people, it was advertised as sold out, but I think it was above the rated capacity

Great performers and atmosphere, however I don't like the fact that the sitting benches were removed to make space for high tables - it makes the place unfriendly towards any person that does not enjoy vicinity of those who dance while pushing others and stomping on their feet. Besides, when the main hall is full, the air circulation is poor therefore I hope that next remodeling will include returning benches and installing better ventilation system.

Really good small concert venue. Stepped floor so good visibility wherever you are and borderline usable toilets in an emergency but in good numbers so there is never a line in the men’s. Also good bar, fast to serve. No complaints really. Plenty of bike parking around.

A nice bar by the lake, you can enjoy the view and sun. The terrace is covered (see photo) from the sun. Very busy and crowded, you will probably have to wait for a seat. Unfortunately, very slow service. There are only two waiters for the whole terrace.

Legendary place! Celebrating 40+ years of operation. Cheap prices and great programmes. It's run by a student organization and is an essential part of Zagreb night life and student life in general. Cheap and good coffee during the day, cheap and OK beer during the evening with a various programme ranging from movie projections, music concerts, live performances, karaoke, theatre plays all the way to workshops etc. If you are near and something from their programme got your attention. Visit it :)

Great student club with variety of quality concerts and other programmes for students and others. They also have sections that contribute to their programme (theatre section, video, music etc.).

When asked waiter how is that possible he said " duck it " 🤷‍♂️😒 What kind of impolite and unprofessional service is this? I will not bankrupt for 1 euro, but the shame is on you and your bar now. The service was just absolutely terrible. The waiter was rude. We ordered drinks and were peacefully drinking them when one of the waiters approached us and rudely and aggressively told us to pay for the drinks even though we didn’t finish them. Nice designed location in the center of Zagreb. You can have also something to eat (the menu is not offering a lot, but the food is tasty). It has got a big terrace with a nice view over the square. Prices are not very low but I think they are worthy.

This place is Big and spacious has a nice terrace facing the main square, inside the upper floor is a restaurant dedicated for tapas and wine bar called Sol, you must reserve before to come in… the place gets busy and loud at night. I like the Johann Franck Café a lot, because I think it's very classy. Located right on the famous Ban Jelačić Square, it's the perfect spot for spending a little time, enjoy some food and drinks and watch the people walk by. We went there twice: One time we had some snacks during the day and the other time we enjoyed some cocktails. Everything was fine, and we liked the cocktails a lot. Beautiful garden overlooking the square in the city center. We waited 10 minutes for waiter to come to take the order. I even called one, but he didn't respond. We had already planned to visit here when we went to Zagreb. We figured we would have a few beers and maybe spend 1-1,5 hours but we ended up staying a good 4-5 hours because the atmosphere and the music were so nice and we felt very much 'at home'. They have really nice local craft beers on tap from Nova Runda and also a variety of other European beers including very good Lord of the Rings themed beers from Mad Scientist. This is a must visit if you like everything Tolkien, fantasy, board games, good beers and good vibes! When we left the bartender even recommended a shop in Zagreb where they offer a very wide variety of craft beers. We will definitely be back when we visit Zagreb again!

Had an amazing afternoon at Tolkien’s House! It’s such a great spot. Friendly staff, and an awesome selection of craft beers. We ended up staying the whole afternoon just enjoying the vibe and trying different special brews. To top it all off, they surprised us with a house specialty beer at the end – a perfect finish to a perfect visit. Highly recommend this place if you’re into good beer and good times! 🍻

It was fun, we went as a goof but it wasn't bad, they had a few good beers and the music was decent. Eventually more people showed up.

What an absolutely fabulous experience in Zagreb! I am a self proclaimed Oenophile and so I could not pass up an opportunity to visit Bornstein Wine bar while in Zagreb. During my time in Croatia I really enjoyed learning about their unique wines, wine culture and processing. This experience was truly unique and the prices here are very affordable. We were taken care of by a woman named Doris who was so patient in answering all my questions and thorough in her explanations of the wines, history and regions. She went out of her way to make the experience special including making sure I got to try wines that I hadn't already tasted elsewhere. All the wine was paired with a wonderful cheese, olive and bread tray enhancing and elevating the wines. The atmosphere here is so cool, you feel like you are transported to a centuries old wine cellar including getting to see the oldest bottle of wine in Croatia! I would definitely frequent this place if I lived in Zagreb for unique glasses of rare wines, and even do the wine tasting multiple times due to the fact that Doris picked different wines to create a new experience. If you love wine and learning about wine, or just a good glass you can't get just anywhere I highly recommend going here.

We did the Croatian Tour wine tasting menu. This was great! The owner was very knowledgeable and we had a great time. The wine tasting came with a selection of cheeses which were all delectable, and a small bowl of bread with a Croatian olive oil. Would highly recommended for both people who know a little about wine and for the experts as the history of the wine was the main focus. A must-go if you’re in Zagreb.

Doris was most helpful, explaining the terroir of each of the wines we tasted. The Istrian meat and cheese plates were an excellent way to complement the wines. It’s clear that the owners are passionate about their craft. A most enjoyable evening.

I can't rate the food as we just went for late night drinks. Fabulous wine bar just a few minutes walk from Ban Jelačića Square, nice and close to the centre but in a quiet part of town. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, the building and place look stunning. Owners are knowledgeable and know their wines, I had a new variety of white that I tried called Pusipel which was stunning - dry and crisp. Just what I wanted! Highly recommend this place, worth a visit to do some wine tasting, sit, relax and enjoy the stunning ambiance.

Loved it here. The staff were very friendly and the beer was excellent. They had 4-5 sours on tap, and sometimes it’s hard to find sours. It had rained the day before we came so the patio was pretty wet. They had nice covered patios for people to sit under outside and there was ample seating inside. I liked the airstream outside—cute touch. There is food to eat there, submarine and another restaurant.

In my last few holidays in Croatia I fell in love with this company and it‘s beers. So a visit to the actual brewery was a no brainer as I was in Zagreb for a few days. The ambience and the beer was astounding. Tried a lot of new ones and returned to my all time favorite beer „Uvala“. Staff was nice aswell! Recommend to everyone that likes damn good beer.

Such a big variety of beers in a chill environment. It has a submarine inside so matches perfectly with the beers. The waitress and super helpful, kind and fun! It’s obvious that they enjoy their job.

Exceptional sour beers and service with great ambience and plenty of seating to enjoy an evening. Also super convenient to have two food hall options on site to choose from. The smash burgers at Submarine were so tasty with thin patties and delicious melted cheese and the chicken and cheese fries at the other stall were superb.

A must for all beer lovers. Non-smoking!!! Very hard to find such a place in Zagreb. And you won’t stay hungry too, there are two small street food buffets offering tasty meals, even for vegans or vegetarians. And you can buy some beer home too.

I was there on a Saturday for the brewery tour, and it was well worth it! Conor led us through the brewery. He explained the brewery's processes in detail and with humor. After the tour, we enjoyed a tasting in the brewery's beautiful garden area. Conor worked overtime and stayed with our group for a few more beers, during which we chatted about everything and laughed a lot. In between, we got delicious burgers from Submarine, which is located right in the same building. Unfortunately, they didn't have the full selection of beers (on tap and in cans) at this time of year. Otherwise, it was an all-around great experience, and the tour, including the tasting for €20, plus a 20% discount on any subsequent consumption, was a very fair deal. The Garden Brewery is definitely high on my list if I return to Zagreb.

The Oliver Twist Pub in Zagreb is one of the many places on Ul. Ivana Tkalčića, which is the main street of Zagreb's nightlife. We sat on the terrace with a nice view of the street full of tourists for a break. The location is nice, it will most likely be nicer in the evening... the mise en place is simple and the service is good. The waiter also spoke English and we understood each other.

We went to this bar because they have promotion 20% discount on draft beer. In the end they charged us full price and even lied that’s 500ml beer cost 6.20€. We paid 10.40€ for 2 beers… we even leaved tips and I checked later how much it’s actually cost because 6.20€ - 20% is not 5.20€ !!! It’s not about money, it’s at all but respects toward customers!!! They thought we are foreigners, but we lived in Zagreb and known to read Croatian !

Perfect place for a cold beer. It is very cheap, and can sit a lot of people. Great service, all though a little slow. We had a great time. They also show sports on TV’s. Located on a great street with many restaurants.

Sun, beer and friendly service! The menu consist of every drink, beer and shot you’d like. It’s situated in a nice street, it’s perfectly suited for big groups. Furthermore, it’s got flatscreen showing sports and what not. Big up!

They gave me coffee without water. Usually they gave standard water by coffee when you order.Its a trick they do that if you ask they will charge mineral water bottle. For the rest it's nice place to sit in the sun.

Cool decorations, the design really gives it an "worn-out" look, something that many pubs are desperately trying to achieve. Also, it is huge! Multiple different sections for different preferences - a shared zone is available, sitting next to a window too, and also a more private, chilled out 'lounge' in the back. We met some pretty colorful characters here too! (Recommedations for the rakija!)

Few years ago that was unimaginable in Croatia. Also it is full of smoke .🚬 Toilet has no lock, and the number of urinals is ridicculosly small (2) if compared to the capacity of the bar. And only 3 waiters. 🤯 They are overworked and stressed. 🥲

I was there a few days ago on a pub quiz. The place was completely packed with people, and anyway, the waiter's were very fast and efficient. Great atmosphere, great music, and great food. If you're in Zagreb, don't skip this place.

Ordered a 'Fungi' pizza, received a pie with thick dough, covered with extremely salty cheese (or a cheese substitute) which made it barely edible. There was almost no mushrooms on the pizza as shown on the photo, just a very few very thin slices. You could not smell or taste the mushrooms, that's how little there was. I might give them another chance, but definitely not with any kind of pizza. In response to bff's response - I had other pizzas in Zagreb and all over the world, either it is not the same cheese or someone dropped a salt shaker in it. My point is that it was not quite edible.

One of the best places to visit in Zagreb if you love rock. I'm a regular ever since the club opened because of a single reason - it remains one of the best bars/clubs in Zagreb. The drinks are reasonably priced and offered in a wide selection and their staff is quick and polite. It also features live rock gigs at least once a week all year round with some great instrumental sessions out in the open in the summer. Right next door is the Bikers Food Factory, run by the same folks and offering some great food they'll happily serve at your table as you enjoy the great atmosphere. Pay it a visit and you won't regret it.

For pub/club The beer is very good and very cheap. Atmosphere is absolutely outstanding, however the music can sometimes be a bit dead. Depending on who DJs. So make sure you pick the right occasion and I guarantee you'll have a brilliant time.

nice and fun place, during the summer all was ok but my rating drops down because of current situation - customers are begging for drinks because there are not enough waiters even though the place is barely half full. also, an arrogant aggressive security guard at the entrance (obese one with eyeglasses) leaves much to be desired and makes you feel unwelcome. on the bright side, cheers to joza and vinko ;) you guys are doing a great job considering the circumstances. p.s. removed another star for not accepting cards and again, for rude and aggressive guard, just left such bad impression.

Really cozy bar - cozy music, good service and good prices. 1 draft beer 18 kuna, and lots of different options. Hidden gem. A bit far away from center, but worth a walk. Smoking inside is aloud - be aware of this.

Great coffee bar which is decorated in a vintage style (by that I mean a lot of wood decorations and designs). The service was a little bit slow and the coffee was alright.

Located in the city center of Zagreb i would call it a perfect spot for a night out. Good wine offer, good music, professional staff and time is flying there .. what else can you wish for a perfect night out.. highly recommended, I think this is now one of my favorite places to go out.

Nice place, small but cosí. A friend took me in there to celebrate her friend’s birthday. People at the door were friendly,the music was good. The toilets were clean but they didn’t have any toilet roll.

They refused to make me a boulevardier (it's a negroni with bourbon instead of gin). They had a negroni on there menu and had bourbon as well. I had to order the ingredients separately and make the drink at my table. Best worst bar experience I have ever had.

One of my favourite go-to bars in the city. Would advise you check the programme before you go. Sometimes they hold pub quizzes there so it gets super crowded when you'd least expect it.

Good cool place, they have Laško IPA for 18 kn. Friendly staff. Sometimes they have live music inside and some dance shows. They are popular for atheists and alternative guests. It has a terrace and inside. Close to Sveučilišna biblioteka. Popular for students too. I would recommend it. Enjoy 😊

It is one of the better known and cooler pubs in the city. If you want to see and be seen, but in an alternative kind of place, Spunk is the place to visit. Drinks are plentiful and affordable.

Rock&blues place. Live music, great bands performing old school rock&blues. Loud, but you can talk. There's room for dancing, sitting or standing. Great interior decor with rock memorabilia. Nice staff. Smoking allowed. Terrace in front.

Very tastefully decorated with lots of attention to detail, memorabilia and ambiance, without being overwhelming. Drinks are reasonably priced, staff is polite. During my time here in September live music was only available Friday night. Good band with a good choice of classics, could use the addition of sax, trumpets and harmonica but did a good job despite. Recommended, will be back.

Even though it is placed on the main touristic route through the city it is somehow authentic and relaxed. Small stage with a live band and also great staff helps providing nice atmosphere.

The basement is _awesome_ if you love dancing and (electro) funk music!!! There was enough space to dance freely, no broken glass on the floor or mess on the tables. I loved the music and got really deep into it <3 On the downside, it is not good for claustrophobia xD The ceiling is low, it feels dark, small and heavy air. For some reason, the crowd was almost exclusively male.

Was there in the middle of the week so there wasn't any DJ but the playlist in the bar section was really nice ! Local beers, nice waitress, good localisation, would love to go again next time I'm in Zagreb !

Great place to go for your first stop, on for an all night party in Zagreb. The drinks are well priced, entry is completely free and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The basement (where the dj plays) can get extremely hot, but there are 3 floors total and an outside area to chill as well.

Underage people all over the club. Dirty bar and venue. Very bad sound system and poor management. Even the spirits selection they have are horrible. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, this club should be closed and I hope the city close it soon

Good club to visit if you're in the area and want to skip going to the city centre. You have to pay for the entrance. Inside quite a lot of space plus if they open the back terrace it gets bigger. Drinks expensive. Music was good and staff was ok. People start coming after 11.30, 12 so don't come early.

Very poor quality security and very rude staff. Their organization is horrible as they have 0 communication with each other. You still have to pay for the ticket even though you made a pricey reservation. Dj is 2/10. Do not recommend. Btw there is no actual roof.

I left this club crying. I was the only person of colour in that club and got asked what county I’m from. Was ignored when people were talking to my my friend which she was White and felt like I didn’t belong there. Probably the worst feeling and experience I’ve been in.

I cannot say that I would recommend this restaurant. The food is quite average - not particularly tasty, though not bad either. Take a look at the burger; it doesn’t even appear appetizing. The beer is served in smaller quantities than expected. The restroom is extremely small, and the faucet only provides cold water, which is especially uncomfortable during the colder months. On the positive side, I can highlight the quick service.

Went here twice, great food and good quality meat as well as veggie burger. Their meat patty is excellent and juicy. For the beer wld recommend to take only the pilsner. Overall a good option with fast service.

10/10 would recommend! Our family of six truly enjoyed our dining experience at ozujsko pub. The atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Seating is comfortable and our service from Luka was the best we have had since living and traveling in Europe the past 4 years. Our kids all got different burgers and loved each bite. I had a veggie burger and grilled veggies instead of fries 10/10. My husband got a platter recommended by Luka and was glad he did. Thank you for this perfect dining experience.

We waited 40 minutes for the order to arrive, the waitress recommended multiple times to have some fries without telling us the price and after we checked that regular fries cost 3,40€, in less than 2 minutes we asked her if we could change the fries with pub potatoes instead and the answer was absolutely no without even thinking or asking if it was possible. (They already made the fries in less than 2 minutes and they couldn't change?!) I saw they would bring the food to other tables that ordered after us, in less time than they served us but it wasn't possible to change the fries? I'm sure the fries weren't even ready when we asked to change. We asked for ketchup and the waitress said ketchup mayonesse? So we said ok and she brought us ketchup and mayo in small bags and charged them 1,40 (or 1,50€ i dont remember exactly) EACH!!! This is the first time except from fast foods that they charge us for ketchup and mayo. In the end, when we asked for the bill, we paid in cash and we waited more than 10 minutes for the change and when we asked the waitress for it she said she thought it was a tip...??! No we never told her to keep the change or anything, but of course she wanted to keep it. Unbelievable unprofessional behaviour. We always leave tips when we visit other places but this time I'm sorry to say that was the worst service we ever had, we weren't satisfied with how she treated us as guests. We saw other waiters there running all the time but unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all with the one that served us. Overall, burgers were good, chicken burger had too much paprika in the minced meat.

Amazing restaurant in Zagreb. All local produce! The meats, cheese and the cod pate were to die for. And once again drank the local red, a Shiraz . Did not disappoint! What was absolutely outstanding was the bread.

Yesterday it was such a bad experience with this bar. There were me and my friend. We ordered 2 glasses of wine. Had some conversation and in some moment asked to pay by card. We paid by card separately. My friend have not finished her glass after we paid so we were sitting and talking and she was finishing her glass. The waiter met some guests, they we choosing the table not far from us and the waiter asked me: when are you going to leave? I told him it is so rude from his side. I don’t know his name, he has light hair. It is inappropriate to send guests away in such an impolite manner. I have never faced such an attitude from waiters. I am visiting this place not for the first time, so it was very bad surprise

This is one of my regular spots in Zagreb. Every time I come the service is excellent and personable, I feel welcome, not to mention the phenomenal food and wine. Recommend to everyone!

I had the pleasure of being served by Hamza during my recent visit, and I have to say, his hospitality was exceptional. Not only was he friendly and attentive, but his knowledgeable of the local wines, cured meat’s and cheeses really elevated the experience. He made great recommendations and shared facinating insights about the areas food culture. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate and knowledgeable about what they are serving. Hamza truly made our dining experience memorable. A BIG thank you to him for making our visit so special!

This place is my favorite local bar serving a great variety of local and international beer both on tap and canned. The owner is a super nice guy, helpful and is very passionate and knowledgeable about beers he is serving. Each week they have a different offer of beer. This place is in a heart of Zagreb and it’s a 3min walk from the main square.

Like Metal music? Like beer? (Other drinks are available) Like a good service? Drink here. Lots of craft beers and a good atmosphere. Note: they allow smoking indoors. Not a problem for us, but something worth considering.

The bar man is a grubby sod but hey, he has to stand on the wrong side of the beer and serve cold ones to tourists like us. I understand but it was funny watching him work his space. We had four excellent beers here, sat at the bar. I actually would recommend it. See if you can get him to smile

The interior looks nicely decorated, service is very kind and there's a huge terrace behind. Although the place is dog friendly, it's also smoke friendly what doesn't impress me since it's a habit that belongs more to the past rather than 2025/26. It would be better if only e-cigarettes were allowed instead of regular ones since not only they smell less, but it's also newer technology. It's the same as driving a car with a carbureted engine versus that with fuel injection. Previously, there was a non-smoking establishment in it's place, but after it closed down, unfortunately this came. Music is also quite loud, but since it's a bar, it needs to be loud.

This place pretends to be a rock and metal bar, however the music is so quiet you can't hear anything, just people talking. There is a wide choice of beers but I was given a dirty glass. The toilets smell very bad of urine and everywhere elses smells of smoke. The barman/owner also smells of body odour and is the rudest and most unhappy man i have seen working in any bar. There are many better bars in Zagreb.

This place is awesome it's cash only and I didn't have any Euro so I apologized and started to leave but the bartender/owner said "no stay ill buy u a croatian beer." So I watched a football match and drank a beer! Such great hospitality from the owner.

A bit tacky and expensive, probably one to miss as a tourist but maybe one for local students. Was pretty busy with a bit of an atmosphere but not as much as you would expect for a place so busy. I wouldn't specifically say not to go but it definitely wouldn't be one I'd recommend as there are some other great local bars.

This place is very unique has some amazing pieces of art.... as well as the menu. I’m Peruvian and for this first time I tried a fantastic chocolate Inca tea. I must say I Was fascinated with the unique flavour. The waiter was so nice as professional he knew it all the menu by heart. Definitely I recommend to visit this place.

The place has great selection of craft beers on tap and even more bottled. The atmosphere is laid back, and with alternative vibes. There are not many seating options but you can stand and mingle since there is large open floor and the place is buzzing with guests even on working nights. The venue also hosts a record store upstairs and a club doenstairs. Its worth visiting.

Place looks like you entered into 80's, nicely decorated with old chairs and tables. Minimalistical. Good for morning coffee. It's also a pet friendly bar. In level -1 there are concerts, so if you look for good place little bit out of city center and Main square check this place. Beer is around 15HRK (2€).

Nice music and atmosphere, simple but cozy interior, it's also dog-friendly and has a cool store upstairs. But the waitress was several times a little bit unfriendly and obviously not interested in having customers, because she never mentioned that there was also a second room downstairs. The third time we went there, we already wanted to leave again because no table was free and she just told us to look around for ourselves. Fortunately, another costumer assigned us to the stairs which lead to the basement, where there were several free tables and the owner apologized later for the misunderstanding.

One of my favourite places in Zagreb to drink coffee, grab some beer and enjoy good atmosphere that's always in the air when I come there. They have various types of events so you can attend dub party, punk night or hip hop concert at the same week. The best thing is that they have merchandise and record shop on the first floor. And pink toilet, really pink.

It is lunch time and we are the only ones having lunch. The place looks nice. The food looks good but it was so incredibly salty that it destroyed the whole tasting experience. It is quite expensive too. The time is a good bar but a restaurant to avoid.

I had a vegetarian curry, which is quite good and surprisingly innovative in terms of curry. I also had a order of avocado roll. Somehow I don’t like them although I think they taste good. The only thing I’d criticize about this restaurant is that it smells like smoke too much, it affected my dining experience.

Asian food in Zagreb centar! Great place for lunch or dinner. Amazing sushi! Awesome waiters and great ambient. Food is prepared as you order it, nothing is done upfront. You have to make reservation since they are always crowded but ita worth it! If you come early or want to stay later you have bar there and you can party there. Staff is great and everything is perfect. I definitly recommend this restoran and bar to who ever loves great sushi or asian food and wants to experience great ambient. Prices are on the higher scale but it is worth it.

I absolutely love this place. One of my favorite places in the city, coffee place, wine place, sushi place..depends what you need at the moment, but it has great energy, staff is very polite, place is cozy, elegant and very stylish. Sometimes I go there just to drink glass of wine and relax from busy day, but definitely try what they offer. My usual choice is sushi but also other fusion what they offer is very good. Try their famous ice cream frozen with nitro (Cheese cake icecream, omg delicious❤️). Wine list is more then good. Also, place is good in autumn and winter for night out. Try it, it is just glance away from the main square. You will always find time for time😎

Went there for new year's Eve. Got a bit excited because it was Michelin recommended with Asian Fusion food. Food was average at best. The ramen they had on the menu was made from spaghetti. The fish curry was very average and the maki was also sub par. I'm Asian, so most probably I was expecting something more different, but I can tell that the fusion part was the restaurant trying to suit the local taste. Waiter was kind. But service was extremely slow. Won't recommend.

Open your eyes and mind and be careful. You are not somewhere different than us. Be human and just be host for your place. And don't let your staff that they are like a boss there! The bodyguards were clearly racist - they didn't let in our friend from Egypt telling him that it was a private party, but a few minutes before they let us in without any problems. We were loyal Roko's guests, visiting almost every weekend, but after this experience we will sadly never again enter the club. We are really disappointed.

They don't have cocktails - they can bring you gin and tonic separately, and you can enjoy mixing it. Students are the main guests here, atmosphere & music match their young undeveloped taste.

Maybe it is because of the type of the music I do not listen, maybe it is because I didn't like the type of the people inside of the place, but this is horrible. Interior is nice, but not the place to go out at all if you are listening to something else than folk music.

The music is a solid 3/5 (must've been because of a DJ that day), the setting and the looks of the club is a nice 4/5 and it gets a 5 out of 5 for a good time and great memories.

Everything is great, but please invest in air conditioning because during the concert it's almost impossible to be inside. This is why I often decide not to go to concerts and similar events. (I'm not the only one who thinks so)

I think it's one of the most important bars in Zagreb in the alternative scene, they always bring quality artists, the drinks are well priced and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Nice club with tasty food and a comfortable atmosphere. Amazing music and art. It wouldn’t be bad if the building would just get renovated since it’s a little bit run down. Since on Google it doesn’t say “dogs allowed”, they could be allowed inside and outside if they’re not right now.

A lot has changed in the last 15years since i last been there. Toilets and rest of the club is clean and nice, no risk of diseases like before. 🤣 But it was hot like hell, some ventilation would be nice. And your audio tech sucks, louder isnt always better. 😘

It was comedy night, I couldn’t understand Croatian. 5 stars because the staff was super nice, gave me free drink for walking all that way and no live music. Sometimes the small things along with good people can make your business thrive.

One of the best clubs in Zagreb and one of the few that have been here - at the same location, with the same name and constant style - for more than 20 years. It offers live music by both emerging and renowned musicians oriented to rock, pop, jazz, disco and similar genres. One can dance the night out here :) There are also stand-up comedy shows. The club is known for moderate prices of drinks. The people who go here are mostly normal, casual and from different age groups. I never witnessed fights or bad situations. There is no dress code. Absolutely recommended...

Total disappointment despite the nice reviews here. Interior was nice and unique, that's all the positive stuff. Negatives: Bartenders didn't care when we ordered 2 beers at the bar, just pointed to our table. We waited 10 minutes before leaving, the bartenders were washing mugs and preparing coffee despite everyone had some drinks on their tables. People smoke inside the pub and our table had mugs and glasses on it. Staff acted unprofessional, careless, looked depressed.

A small Cafe resembling a couple of train wagons from the actual Orient Express, the bartender knows his drinks, and recommended the best for our visit. Would recommend!

Well worth stopping by this bar/cafe, sit inside and be taken back to the days of travel by train. The cafe is a true replica of the famous orient express train. It feels like a tourist trap, but the pricing was reasonable, great service and visited by locals. The attention to detail and experience made it memorable.

Loving some tasty beers and good company with an amazing bartender! A must stop while exploring the streets of Zagreb. All the top shelf drinks are there as if you were part of an old time train car ride. Covered wood finishes for the feel of the real thing!

Poor guy serving us. No idea how to make drinks, and this is a bar. Didn’t know how to make a Martini. The bar looks good and the music was nice, but unfortunately the staff was not trained enough to be a bartender.

I was in the Club and had fun with my friends. I alone have paid over 1500€ for bottles. Everything was fine but at 2am the security kicked out without me doing anything. I even got my friends to translate but the securities are unreasonable there. He even hit me and pushed me. They are agressive and doesnt listen. I dont recommend the club. Its just stupid of the owner to employ such guys it will only ruin the business.

The venue overall is entrancing with lighting, sound and liquid nitrogen machine. The dancers, costumed staff, and musicians were unique and exciting. Staff was pretty respectful and diligent in attending to our bottles. My only gripe would be with how dirty the VIP tables and booths were underneath and on the sides. It appeared that someone was sick at our table some point prior to our stay and that took away slightly from the experience. Besides that, I would say this place is very fun and a great night life destination if you are in Zagreb.

Unfortunate thing happened. I ordered a Coca Cola and gave 20 euros. Barman gave me 15 back. I checked the menu and it costs normally 3,50. I told the barman I should get more money back. He mumbled something and started to look for it. I walked away, let him have the tip. Such things are a matter of principle, I would’ve left that money anyway.

Had the worst experience. As a foreigner, got racist remarks from the bouncers. Thrown out of the club for no reason. Got punched in the face. The bouncers had no problems hitting the women in my group too. Broke one of my friend's phone and my nose too. Threatened to call the police on us. imo, if you are a foreigner DO NOT GO THIS CLUB IN ZAGREB. Stay safe, stay away.

The rule for table reservation was different than applied at place (bottle required instead of min spend). The waiter wasn’t polite after we sad that we will pay with credit card.

It was so damn crowded, literally if you slip there is no chance to fall on the ground cuz the crowd would hold you 😃 the dancers and the fire show were amazing tho.

Arrogant waiter pushed me from the back with elbow and when i confronted him about it he said "im working here" and threatened me with security to throw me out.Absolute nightmare of a club,staff is unecesseraly rude and agressive.

Very enjoyable experience. We were advised several local dishes that we liked. Since, I Wished to know the local wines, I asked and received good recommendations by glass. We paid a bit high but no complains. I do not understand some of the bad reviews.

Beautiful and quiet dining room. Service was first rate. Jan our server was very attentive and informative. His suggestions were right on the spot. The chard tart starter was not to be missed flavored by the local olive oil. We also enjoyed the veal main dish and the deconstructed poppy seed and cheese cake. The Pinot noir and Chardonnay weekly suggested wines very nice. Good celebration of Croatian food and libations.

A very good local restaurant with some traditional Croatian food. The Monkfish and Zagreb cutlet are delicious. Only one downside is waiting quite long for the dishes.

Awful place. The service is really bad in terms of speed even when the place is not full. The waiters however are amazing and doing their best. They even suggested local dishes and starters/deserts. However the food is awful. The prices are over the roof and the place is definitely NOT recommended. If you value your sense of taste, eat somewhere else.

This restaurant had food I will dream about being able to eat again. The portion sizes were quite reasonable too. I got the veal schnitzel and the cheese literally oozed out of it. My friend had a beef filet, I think, and it was the most tender piece of meat it literally melted like butter in your mouth. Dessert was also incredibly tasty, if I recall I got a chocolate mocha cake and devoured it. Wine was good and the waitstaff were attentive.

A group of us went yesterday on a Sunday. Made reservation and would suggest this as I can see this restaurant being busy during regular week. Ordered the baked sea cream fish and tried the lamb too. Both were made. Fish as suspected was very fresh. The server was very friendly as we requested separate bills with no issues. Would recommend and the ambience was very nice.

Beautiful restaurant, unfortunately the food was abit too salty for my liking. I had to push the cheese out of my schnitzel. My pasta was pretty good besides the salt level. Service is eh at best. Everyone seems rushed. I heard 3 things drop during my time and one of them shattered. It’s ok but I’m sure there are better places

Went for the acclaimed French toast but on the menu they have scratched through it - our waiter said the cooks said it took too much time but the waiters want them to bring it back because it was so popular. Very limited breakfast menu - also had granola and yoghurt which was better than the eggs pictured.

Was recommended this place, and I tried the Zagreb Breakfast. It was alright. Though I feel the ratio of things was a bit off. It was a lot of salad and bread and very little else. Still tasted good though. Service was alright, but they seemed confused, I put my order in with a waitress and three minutes later a waiter comes to take my order. And the table next to me got their order delivered twice. Someone forgot how to communicate haha. I'd come here again but probably go get something else than the Zagreb breakfast.

Very welcoming elegant, and yet homey type of restaurant near the main square in downtown Zagreb Croatia. The staff here at Otto and Frank is patient, kind and very friendly. I enjoy the egg on toast 😋, since I am Ketovore, I didn't eat the toast. They served coffee but like everywhere in many countries in Europe. They serve lukewarm coffee not hot coffee. You don't get free refills on anything you can order to drink except water. And the larger coffee cups are half the size of the average coffee cup you get in the United States. Half coffee and half warm milk is served everywhere. It doesn't difficult. To find any place that has a normal American size coffee cup. And it's difficult to get anybody to serve coffee steaming hot, which is the way. Coffee is supposed to be But that's the way it is throughout Europe. Lukeworn coffee, that's half coffee half milk. And no refills, unless you pay for each refill. That's my biggest complaint about being able to enjoy coffee while in Europe. But I would recommend Otto and Frank's restaurant to anybody who is visiting Zagreb Croatia.

Hopped in for a quick breakfast — great food and friendly service with a smile. The music playlist adds to the good vibes and really enhances the experience. My only suggestion would be to include a few more savory options on the breakfast menu.

Tasty breakfast with eggs in a city where egg breakfasts are difficult to find. Only a couple options but both great and both shareable (though we didn’t) if you are just into a light breakfast.

Absolutely delicious breakfast in Zagreb! I had the classic Zagreb breakfast with crispy poached eggs and my partner had two eggs over easy with spicy red peppers. Both meals were exceptional and kept us satisfied all morning!

I had high expectations going into this but was unfortunately so disappointed. I heard this place is Michelin recommended but I’m surprised that this is the case after experiencing it. Maybe it was an off day but here are a list of all the notable things that left a bad taste in my mouth: - The service was nearly non-existent. Once seated we had to ask for the menu, ask to order, waited an abnormally long time for our courses to come out and to get the check - I think the waiter spent more time flirting with the lady at the table next to us than paying attention to our table. She wrote him a long note on the placemat and he spent some time going to the coat area to put it in his coat? Very strange… - My glass was dirty and only noticed after my drink was poured into it, meaning that they tossed it and poured more from the bottle that we purchased (so it was wasted) - Initially I was given the incorrect wrong main dish. The correct one was relatively quick to come out, but we knew the other dishes were ready and getting cold - we were given “bread from the kitchen” which was actually an “optional” menu item. The bread was cold and the butter was okay, but if I had known it was extra cost I don’t think I would have ordered it. To be clear, this was given to us without having asked - when the check came, we were told multiple times that “service charge was not included” without an option to add anything when paying by card. This tactic felt like a “tourist trap” technique to take advantage of tipping culture and get it in cash? The food overall was okay but the service really ruined it for us. I wouldn’t come back which is sad because I was excited to try this place

This was by far the best food I had in three cities in Croatia!!!! Absolutely delicious Beef Cheeks, with a decadent sauce. Just wonderful! Had to send back an old fashion drink due to not being made correctly but I will excuse that for the delicious food 😉

Dining here was one of our best experiences throughout Croatia…everything came together, the food (compliments to the chef!!) the service from Alen and the excellent recommendations from our wine sommelier, Kiki. Kiki was able to perfectly match our food with wine and at the end of the meal shared a tasty wine aperitif which I thoroughly enjoyed! .Alen, our waiter, was great at bringing our dishes in a timely manner and was very thorough at describing each of our dishes! Thank you for making our dining experience so memorable!!

Hands down, one of the best meals we have ever had and a top highlight of our trip to Zagreb. Service was exemplary. Each course was creative and better than the last. Food was so fresh. Outstanding from start to finish. 5 stars isn’t enough.

Amazing restaurant, we were in awe before the plates, the food was beyond spectacular. Every dish was packed full of subtle flavors, and each bite was a joy to the mouth. Truly one of the best restaurant I've ever had. The service was on par with the food, and Ian was there to help us with every if our need, explaining the contents of our plates or bringing us more bread. We were welcomed with top notch service and food for the affordable price of ≈40€ for main course and dessert. I truly recommend this place to anyone who has even a passing interest in quality food, as this is a wonderful experience that was a highlight of our stay in Zagreb. Merci beaucoup !

The gentleman taking care of us was lovely - making sure to give us descriptions of each dish ordered. The food was AMAZING!!!! the dishes were a masterpiece!! the bread + butter, tuna tartare, chicken + egg dish 🤌🏻

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of care and attention goes into the kitchen. What truly made our visit special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Their warmth and professionalism created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

Surprisingly for us it happens to be the great place for burgers and cocktails. All the time the dishes were well done and the stuff was super professional. The waiters remember a huge order by heart, speak great English and are super welcoming.

I have visited this place before, and it has great food, especially hamburgers. You can even get them delivered to you. They also have desserts and salads, if you want to go healthy. The terrace can be found across the street from the restaurant. You can also eat there, on fresh air. A very good place to eat in downtown Zagreb!

Went on a late evening here. I didn't have the chance to taste their burgers since my order was forgotten. This was not a major issue for me, but the waiter apologized and promised he'll remove de drinks out of the order since other food could no longer be placed since the kitchen was closed. He did not do that in the end. Which I wouldn't have mind if he wouldn't have told us in the first place. Anywaaays besides the bad service: The onion rings that were shared at the table were kind of dry. Their cheese sauce is just jar nachos sauce. The people who got the chance to eat burgers said that they were very tasty.

Brewbites has an amazing garden oasis in the backyard of the archaeological museum. Coffee is great and the chill music also. But since owners have changed, the service could really be more attentive and faster.

The food was excellent! The spareribs were so tender they fell of almost immediately 😋 I would really recommend them! It was only sad they don't serve desserts. The garden is also very lovely

It used to be one of the best american restaurants in Zagreb, they removed my favorite pulled pork burger from the menu and replaced it with Asian dishes. The prices are too high for the amount of food you get and the only thing this restaurant keeps at a high level is the location and lots of TVs

Great bar with a large selection of beers, local and imported. I didn't expected to have such a large list of Belgium beers! The food, was tasty although is clear that we re referring to unhealthy food, that's why is a bar :)). Service is great!

My wife and I stopped for lunch here, and it was excellent. First, the views from the second floor terrace were excellent. It was a warm day, and the terrace was shaded by large umbrellas, and there was a soft breeze. Very pleasant! The food was tasty and the beer was excellent. Some very nice IPAs, a welcome break from the ever-present lagers of Croatia.

This place is a masterpiece. The food is ridiculously good. The beer list is extensive, though I’ve mostly stuck to one flawless option (I’m not naming it, it's mine, pick something else). The vibe? Effortlessly perfect. Even the music is not just background noise, it's your favourite playlist on shuffle. Right by the door, there’s an entire shrine of hot sauces. 🌶️ My only regret is discovering, when I came home, that I had food in my teeth while paying the bill. I’ll be remembering that at 3 a.m. for the next twenty years.

A nice choice of I think five craft beers, each of different style, so everybody will find something for themselves. Food was really tasty and filling too. A fine example of a restaurant made with love and passion.

The place is amazing, especialy on the roof terace and the food is great. Unfortunately, we were a bigger group that paid separately for the drinks and food and the last person to leave had to pay again for something that was already paid..

If you like craft beer at all, check this place out. A fantastic selection of beers for all over the world (check out the house pale ale!) so something for everyone. The staff clearly care about beer & definitely about customer service too. Cool atmosphere, good tunes & a nice vibe about the premises. Definitely check this place out when you're in Zagreb, you won't be disappointed.

I was super stuffed after the lunch at this place. Everything seemed delicious that I ended up over-ordering. Only now days later finally I remember to give my review for this place. One of the best Asian food restaurants in Zagreb. Although they might have been altered to suit the taste of the locals, it’s understandable as they placed themselves as a “fusion” restaurant.

Delicious Ramen. The tonkatsu Ramen broth is really tasty, ingredients are top quality, definitely one of the best ramens I had (and I had a lot). Cooking of the egg could be improved (slightly overcooked), but not a big deal. Highly recommend 👍🏻.

So glad we found this place! After a long day, this was just what we needed. Absolutely amazing food, everything we had was delicious. The chicken gyoza and karaage chicken bun was moist and tasty. Then the noodles and the pork belly donburi was just incredible. So tasty with tender pork. It was all perfect! I would definitely recommend. Staff were great too and it was busy for a Tuesday evening.

I love all kinds of Asian food and this was a hit! You won't get overwhelmed by the menu because it's carefully selected. Pork belly bao was amazing, as was tuna poke bowl. Tuna was well marinated, rice well seasoned and I loved the choice of toppings. My boyfriend had gyozas and karaage chicken donburi - he enjoyed both. I highly recommend reserving a table. We came on Monday evening and I don't think we'd have a place to sit if we hadn't reserved a table. The atmosphere is vibrant and international, after all the restaurant is situated in the courtyard of a hostel and beneath Swankey's terrace. We spoke English with the waitress which was honestly no problem for us. We were also served quickly even tho the place was full. The only downside of our experience were the drinks! I'm not a wine snob but I like to have a good glass of wine, this one unfortunately wasn't it (Dobra berba "Biello") 😬 And ice cubes in my boyfriend's drink had an unpleasant smell/taste. So all in all, we'll definitely come back and try different drinks 😄

Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the green curry. The banana dessert was to die for — absolutely delicious! I’m definitely coming back for more. The staff were super polite and nice. ✨️🌸

We ordered the Khao Soi Ramen — it was delicious and quite unusual, I tried this kind of ramen for the first time! The interior was interesting, and the friendly service was also a nice surprise — at our request, we were moved to another table (since one of the rooms was a bit stuffy). We’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! 😊

LOCATION & ATMOSPHERE Great location, one tram stop from the main square, atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. SERVICE Professional, friendly, everything was very smooth. PRICE Actually very good prices regarding the location, 12-15€ per dish on average. FOOD Chicken katsu is what I took, decent portion, great flavours, I was very satisfied. OVERALL One of those places where you feel that no matter what you take, it will be good because they hold a certain standard. Come and enjoy, this restaurant has my recommendation.
