Jazz club
Bacchus Jazz Bar is a laid-back cellar bar in the heart of Zagreb, just a short walk from the central railway station. The bar offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with its Dalmatian feel and eclectic decor, including a courtyard sheltered by fig trees. It's known for its live jazz sessions, refreshing drinks, and friendly staff.
The place to be if you are want a cozy little bar in the center of Zagreb with great beers and perfect atmosphere! The prices were good and the staff very friendly!

Cool bar, unfortunately no music while we were there. Nice crowd
Robert Q — Google review
My lovely place in Zagreb near train station. Beautiful and quiet.
Eugene S — Google review
Me and my friends’ go to bar in the whole Zagreb. It has a very nice ambience, perfect beer and friendly staff. Must visit while in Zagreb
Mariam G — Google review
Tucked away in the city center, this gem is a local favorite—and for good reason. The garden setting, adorned with trees and lamps, provides a cozy atmosphere perfect for work or casual chats. What makes the place even more inviting is the friendly disposition of both the staff and the patrons. Whether you're looking to engage with locals or simply enjoy a quiet moment, this spot delivers. Highly recommended.
Same L — Google review
Lovely bar tucked away in garden just down from the railway station. Good prices, friendly service. An oasis in the heat- no camels were sighted! Good range of draft craft beers as well as the usual suspects in a bottle.
Ross — Google review
Love the atmosphere here, music is great and the staff are super lovely and welcoming, local drinks galore! Cheap prices. Outside courtyard also. You can smoke inside too. Would come back here 100%

Bar
Hemingway Lounge Bar is a sophisticated and upscale cocktail bar located across from Croatia's National Theatre. It has a rich history as a gathering place for performers and continues to be popular for its cocktails and stunning views of the Hapsburg-yellow theatre at sunset. The bar exudes an opulent atmosphere with ornate trimmings and chandeliers, offering fruity cocktails, salads, and sandwiches. Additionally, it is part of a chain with two branches in Zagreb.
I had a sandwich this morning, and my wife ordered scrambled egg with avocado, it tasted great. At the end I left my phone on the table, so the waiter went after me to return it, that’s the waiter of the month. Great job
Choupen D — Google review
Very nice bar in downtown Zagreb. Fast service with nice and friendly staff. View on HNK and park. Moderate pricing. Excellent atmosphere.
Ljubiša Ć — Google review
It's closed down. Not sure if there is another location, but the one listed on Google maps is shut down and boarded up
Christina C — Google review
This place does not deserve even 1 star. The first time we had Disaronno sour, it was the the best cocktail that we ever had. The bartender is a guy who's a professional cocktail maker. He's the best! It started going downhill since that guy left. The waitress there now makes the worst cocktail and has absolutely the worst attitude. This cocktail literally tastes like orange juice now. Paid 50 Kunas for this disaster. Where is the cherry? It looks nothing like the picture any more. I bet they can't open this place for too long if they keep having these kind of people who with poor work ethic. Will never go there again!
MIN Z — Google review
Avoid! If you don’t want wait for a long time to be served. Unfortunately extremely poor and slow service but here is a very nice spot to take a look on the beauty building of the Croatian National theatar.
Maro I — Google review
I‘ve never been to a Café worse than this. The waitress seemed like she did not want to be there, just like us! Our order was completely messed up but she insisted that it was correct. On top of that the coffee tasted old and the milk like it had gone bad. I would friendly, yet strongly advise against visiting this establishment.
Marco B — Google review
In Central position in zagreb, in front of the opera house, do not serve food during the summer but cocktails are very well presented and extremely good. It is your place if you don't mind to spend a couple of euros more for a very well made cocktail. The Interior is simple and has few tables on the outside areas.
Michael P — Google review
Apart of staff changing quite often it's a nice place for a coffee or aperitivo.

Bistro
Located in a quiet alley just off one of Zagreb's bustling streets, Dezman Mini Bar offers a chic and modern ambiance with its matte black walls and an inviting outdoor terrace. This spot is perfect for savoring gourmet sandwiches, fine wines, and engaging conversations away from the city noise. The bar provides excellent service, delectable food, and top-notch drinks.
The most helpful, understanding and nice waitress ever and the mixologists makes an amazing Dirty Martini! Thank you for making our evening so nice!
Ines — Google review
I used to really love this place and came here at least twice a week but then they changed the menu from casual lunch and finger food to some kind of overpriced fine dining which doesn’t match the vibe of this place at all. recently they brought back a few meals from the previous menu, which was mostly perfect so I ordered something I used to love before which is duck spring rolls and the super food salad with shrimps. The duck spring rolls came unrecognisable. I will provide in the pictures below how it looked before and how it looks now. Along with the much smaller portion size those spring rolls are the top five worst things I’ve ever tasted in my life from outside they are dry and from inside they are so tasteless. The best way to describe taste is if you bought them frozen on a gas station and then microwaved them at home. The salad was okay, I would previously I would previously rate it as a 10/10 but now it’s like 8/10 it’s just a slightly bit different
QuqyLara Y — Google review
The eggs Benedict were disappointingly bland, and the English muffin/bun was dry, making this place seem overrated. While the coffee was decent, there are plenty of better breakfast spots in Zagreb worth exploring.
Matea V — Google review
Great. A lovely place right next to the slopes leading up to the Upper Town of Zagreb — serves great food, and makes nice drinks. Served on a beautiful patio or sit inside, with the scrambled eggs I had being nicely soft and coming with a portion of cream cheese and some toasted bread. Service was great and friendly.
Roland T — Google review
I just wanted to use this Summer day... Saturday lunch, my favourites Spritz aperol+ Tatar beef on homemade focaccia...😋 fast service, in a quite street, full terrace and still you can enjoy on your own. Thank you Dežman team.
Klara P — Google review
Excellent spot for cocktails. The menu has a selection of well-known cocktails from around the world and also some house-made ones. Nice indoor space with great outdoor seating as well. Highly recommended for a drink. Average drink price is about 50 Kuna per drink.

Perfect little place hidden from city traffic. Tasty finger food (try tuna pate, it is amazing), and the best cocktails in the city. Strongly suggest moscow mule and dark and stormy. Great for coffee or night out. Wonderful staff. Go and check it out😉😍

Bulldog Zagreb is a versatile establishment located in the heart of the city's bustling street, offering a range of experiences for visitors. The upscale interior features modern amenities such as electronic sliding-glass doors and large flat-screen TVs for sports events, along with an extensive selection of Belgian beers, cocktails, and wines. The venue also boasts a unique terrace leading to a boat-shaped front room with distinctive ceiling fans and deck flooring.
Solid pub which screens football matches. At 2am for the champions league semi final - there was a decent group all glued to the TV. Pints are reasonable at €4
Anchit K — Google review
Okay pub near the Cvjetni trg. We sat inside and it was an lovely atmosphere, but it was noisey alot to the point that you had to yell at. The prices shocked me because it was expensive. All in all, I recommend it to someone who loves livelier atmosphere and vintage decoration.
Marino P — Google review
Good place to sit in or outside to meet with friends. It’s got two levels inside. The drinks we had were good quality and the service could be a bit faster. The waiter was serving several areas so often we could see him. Other than that it’s a nice bar with good atmosphere and music. Would definitely recommend.
Vanja M — Google review
Cracking bar with a few good craft beers on tap and a few bottles as well. Great outside area with plenty of tables and chairs. Staff very friendly and helpful. They let us bring some food in from one of the fab pizza take away shops
David F — Google review
Great place to have a beer or other drink. The interior is done to remember you the inside space of a ship (nothing in relation with bar's name) whit a lot of wood and a vertical open space to the upper floor. They have installed on the ceiling 4 big ventilators which look as big ship propeller. Stylish without being expensive.
Marius C — Google review
Great pub. Don't expect an "English" style pub although it has a proper pub vibe. Darts was on when I was there though. Good beer/service.
Robbie B — Google review
Great location, great atmosphere for drink, lovely music. We stopped by every day to this cozy bar during our stay in Zagreb.

The Beertija is a charming outdoor escape in the heart of the city, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling streets. With its swinging chairs and shaded areas, it provides a relaxing atmosphere away from car fumes. This popular spot is perfect for groups or couples seeking intimacy, with secluded corners and a rustic ambiance. The bar offers over 220 types of beer and features a beer garden during summer.
This place is massive, dont be fooled by just taking a quick peek at it. Indoor amd terrace seating - smoking at both. Wide selection of beers, wine amd radiant. Friendly staff amd good service.
Famousaj1 — Google review
We had an evening of beers and burgers at this bar. The beer selection is very extensive and the waitress helped in making our choices as we were unfamiliar with the local craft brewers. Burgers came from an onsite street food vendor. They were massive and very tasty. At €11 for a double cheeseburger (including fries) seemed pretty good value. Worth noting that the burger vendor only accepts cash (cards are fine for the bar).
War P — Google review
This was a great find for locals and visitors alike. Great burgers and fries from the Blue Haired guy at KSS (situated within Beertija) and cold beer and cocktails from Beertija. Credit cards or euros accepted at both Beertija and KSS. Cigar and cigarette smoking is welcomed. If weather is stormy, windy or cold, Beertija has indoor and undercover seating.
Norma B — Google review
A very quirky pub just on the outskirts of the city centre. A great selection of drinks, especially local beers. The pub and music is very rock themed which I loved. The atmosphere was a bit quiet, but I did visit on a Monday early evening so that's probably why. But overall, would recommend visiting for a beer or two.
Shaun — Google review
The pub offers a wide selection of beers from Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic and international brands like Heineken. The prices are fair prices and the place is lovely decorated. In case you are nearby, it's definitely a place to stop by. From the conversations around me this pub is populated by locals - could not hear many people seek English.
Marat K — Google review
Just burgers to eat bit very very good!!! Wide variety of beers. A nice relaxed garden to have a beer. Great vibe!
Athanasia H — Google review
Best beer in town! 🍺 The atmosphere is super chill, the people are amazing, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Definitely a must-visit spot if you want to enjoy great drinks and good vibes.
Raul C — Google review
Craving a genuine pint in a place oozing with character while you're in Zagreb? Swing by The Beertija. Trust me, it’s not your average pub; it’s a whole vibe. For beer lovers, it’s paradise with its extensive selection, ranging from the craftiest of crafts to those intriguing new brews you’re itching to try. And the atmosphere? Imagine chilling with the legends of rock as they watch over from the walls, and a garden terrace that's more a hall of fame, making each sip feel like a nod to music royalty. But here’s the kicker: The Beertija isn’t just putting on airs. It’s the real deal: effortlessly cool and inviting, a place where everyone, from locals to wanderlust-driven tourists, from beer connoisseurs to casual sippers, feels right at home. The staff? Absolute legends who make you feel welcomed the second you step through the door. Yes, it buzzes with life, and sure, it leans a tad towards the old-school, especially with payments. Here’s the scoop on that: due to Croatian tax authorities, there's a unique dance to card payments. It's not just The Beertija; it's a nationwide quirk. Fancy paying with plastic? Just give the staff a heads-up early on, mention it a few times during your order, and maybe nudge a reminder before the bill comes. It’s a simple step for a smooth experience, ensuring both sides are chipper. This is also a tip for card payments for every venue in Croatia :). It’s part of the charm, really, alongside the indoor smoking vibe. In essence, The Beertija is where you want to anchor down for top-notch beer, legendary tunes, and an even more legendary time. Drop in and let the place do the talking; don’t just take my word for it. An evening at The Beertija is one for the books, no regrets, just great stories waiting to happen.

Bar
Rakhia Bar in Zagreb is a popular spot to experience the regional specialty of rakija, a strong fruit brandy widely made throughout the Balkans. The bar offers various types of rakija, from sweet to earthy flavors, and provides a cozy ambiance with mix-and-match furnishings and low-key lighting. It's known as a great place to meet people and interact, especially for international students. Visitors praise the friendly and accommodating staff who make everyone feel welcome.
10 rakija shots for 16.50 euro, what else needs to be said. The owners seem to live in a world where inflation has yet to hit this corner of Zagreb, god bless them. If this place ever has to raise their prices, I fear I’ll be blinded by a fit of rage and temporarily convert to some sort of blue haired leftist bonehead, protesting outside the Croatian parliament as I curse the “capitalist machine” that would have destroyed one of Zagreb’s finest establishments. I love this place with all my heart, I wish them all the best and hope they never change.
Kris A — Google review
Such a great bar to make great memories and meet new people!! The bartender Anja and worker Tj are so accommodating and always ready to make you feel welcome they deserve a raise!! Would deffo recommend and careful for the Rakhia shots, they’ll get you really drunk for cheap ;)
Loïs D — Google review
I wouldve liked this place alot more if i wasnt served by that big back rude waitress, you can see her giving dirty looks and rolling her eyes when she turns away from guest, and too of that you can hear her insulting them, i wouldn’t recommend coming here
Emil M — Google review
Nice place, relaxing, good view of Oliver Twist Pub
Dejan N — Google review
All the rakhia you could dream of. Loud music though
Warren K — Google review
We were recommended this place to try Rakhia on our vacation and it was definitely a good recommendation. Good service and good atmosphere, we got a great deal on 10 shots which was simply very fun and a great way to get a taste of the drink Only reason for no 5 stars is because the bathroom situation was bad (I didn't go but the friends I was with reported no toilet seats, a door that couldn't lock and one without a door, so I didn't feel like checking it out) and the menu was only in Croation and a little bit outdated. That wasn't terrible but it would be nice for the names of the drinks on the menu to have meaning. However, the waiter was very helpful and just recommended us some things so it wasn't really an issue
Iris M — Google review
We had a fantastic night, the moment we sat down on the lush comfy chairs while the rain was trickling down we were greeted by an angel in disguise by the name of TJ. He gave us an unforgettable experience and we would recommend him to everyone visiting this majestic place. 11/10

When I first arrived to Zagreb from Canada, I was told to meet with friends at Rakhia Bar. I definitely was not disappointed! Nice place to meet people and interact. Tvornica Kulture, located in Zagreb, is a popular club known for its vibrant atmosphere and live music events. By day, it operates as a cafe and transforms into a lively nightclub at night with three distinct rooms. The venue hosts an array of concerts featuring local bands and international artists several times a week. With its industrial-chic setting within an abandoned factory, Tvornica Kulture offers a unique experience for music enthusiasts.
An amazing experience. Plenty of space, bathrooms and AC. Performance was also great. The only issue is parking, but other then that yuh.
Jorkoas — Google review
The atmosphere and service were great and fast, enough toilets, everything went smoothly. But we attended a sold out concert, and it was really, really uncomfortable - too many people, it got extremely hot and difficult to breath (and I'm not talking about front rows, but even in the back and close to the bars).
Silvia M — Google review
I was here for a Blind Guardian concert. The concert was, of course, great. The venue itself is also nice. But for this event there were to many people, it was advertised as sold out, but I think it was above the rated capacity
Lucian B — Google review
Great performers and atmosphere, however I don't like the fact that the sitting benches were removed to make space for high tables - it makes the place unfriendly towards any person that does not enjoy vicinity of those who dance while pushing others and stomping on their feet. Besides, when the main hall is full, the air circulation is poor therefore I hope that next remodeling will include returning benches and installing better ventilation system.
Branka P — Google review
Really good small concert venue. Stepped floor so good visibility wherever you are and borderline usable toilets in an emergency but in good numbers so there is never a line in the men’s. Also good bar, fast to serve. No complaints really. Plenty of bike parking around.

Being a student-run place, it offers great fun for relatively low price. It's a caffe in the morning and the afternoon, and at night it turns into a club with very wide variety of events, so there's something for everyone.

Legendary place! Celebrating 40+ years of operation. Cheap prices and great programmes. It's run by a student organization and is an essential part of Zagreb night life and student life in general. Cheap and good coffee during the day, cheap and OK beer during the evening with a various programme ranging from movie projections, music concerts, live performances, karaoke, theatre plays all the way to workshops etc. If you are near and something from their programme got your attention. Visit it :)

It's ok. Staff is friendly and drinks are cheap. The selection of drinks could be wider and ban on smoking for a night club is a minus for me.

(Translated by Google) My experience - bad store - bypass! Bought a rocking chair with a stool. He struggled to assemble it according to vague instructions and unmarked parts. After I finally put the chair together - disappointment - you have to wait 72 hours for the sponge it sits on to inflate to full size. Ok, we wait 72 hours - and in the end it swelled up maybe 2 centimeters - so it's not possible to use the stool because it all blisters. I advertised the product - the store behaves as if it didn't sell a piece of furniture worth over €300, but says pack it in the original box and return it and we'll refund your money. So, try hard again. How do I take everything apart and put it back together without damaging anything? Well, I'm not a factory, but an unsatisfied consumer. If the product has a defect - shouldn't the retailer repair or replace the product at his own expense. Will the dealer pay for the disassembly and delivery of the product to me? Hoće li trgovac meni platiti rastavljanje i dostavu proizvoda.

Misleading marketing! 🚫🚫🚫 I ordered online and was supposed to get a discount for my cola and coffee. 1 euro less. I did everything as instructed on the website. However, I was charged full price. When asked waiter how is that possible he said " duck it " 🤷‍♂️😒 What kind of impolite and unprofessional service is this? I will not bankrupt for 1 euro, but the shame is on you and your bar now. Was it worth it?
Gozo B — Google review
The service was just absolutely terrible. The waiter was rude. We ordered drinks and were peacefully drinking them when one of the waiters approached us and rudely and aggressively told us to pay for the drinks even though we didn’t finish them. When we got the money ready he just disappeared and we had to wait for 15 minutes for him to go to the counter and take our payment. It is a shame and not a nice experience

Nice designed location in the center of Zagreb. You can have also something to eat (the menu is not offering a lot, but the food is tasty). It has got a big terrace with a nice view over the square. Prices are not very low but I think they are worthy.

I like the Johann Franck Café a lot, because I think it's very classy. Located right on the famous Ban Jelačić Square, it's the perfect spot for spending a little time, enjoy some food and drinks and watch the people walk by. We went there twice: One time we had some snacks during the day and the other time we enjoyed some cocktails. Everything was fine, and we liked the cocktails a lot. Only the staff seemed a bit inattentive.😉

Very rude female waitresses. They ignored me several times even though they saw me waive my hand to let them know I wanted to order until a male waiter saw me and came to take my order. I came in a sunny Sundy afternoon, and the place was packed full. I ordered flat white and sparkling water. The flat white was average. Nothing special.

Beautiful garden overlooking the square in the city center. We waited 10 minutes for waiter to come to take the order. I even called one, but he didn't respond. They should go around the tables in the first row more offten and see who is coming and going. Payment is by cash or card. Caffee should renovate the toilet because it is really a shame for a bar like this to have such a toilet.

Pub
Tolkien's House is a cozy and inviting pub that offers an extensive selection of around 90 different types of beer, including popular choices like Zmajsko, Nova Runda, Fischers, and Weizen Vitus. While the name may evoke images of a fantasy-themed bar, it's actually a local's pub with some Tolkien-themed decorations on the walls. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, attracting an older crowd of regulars.
Absolutely loved the vibes at Tolkien's House in Zagreb! Cozy, atmospheric, and full of character—it's a must-visit for any Tolkien or fantasy fan. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had a great time chatting with him about The Lord of the Rings. You can tell this place is run by a true fan. Highly recommended!

Such a cool, unique little place. The Tolkien theme- an obsession of the owner- runs throughout the place. The outdoor area sits on a quiet corner across from an old church. Best pub we went to in Zagreb.

We had already planned to visit here when we went to Zagreb. We figured we would have a few beers and maybe spend 1-1,5 hours but we ended up staying a good 4-5 hours because the atmosphere and the music were so nice and we felt very much 'at home'. They have really nice local craft beers on tap from Nova Runda and also a variety of other European beers including very good Lord of the Rings themed beers from Mad Scientist. This is a must visit if you like everything Tolkien, fantasy, board games, good beers and good vibes! When we left the bartender even recommended a shop in Zagreb where they offer a very wide variety of craft beers. We will definitely be back when we visit Zagreb again!
Yordi G — Google review
The “real deal” in terms of a craft beer pub in Zagreb. Good selection of local beers in a quirky bar. Whether you are a fan of hobbits and the like or not, it is a real experience unlike some nearby “craft” bars

Had an amazing afternoon at Tolkien’s House! It’s such a great spot. Friendly staff, and an awesome selection of craft beers. We ended up staying the whole afternoon just enjoying the vibe and trying different special brews. Nestled in a 200-year-old cellar near the Zagreb Cathedral, Bornstein is Croatia's oldest private wine cellar and a pioneer in the country's modern wine scene. More than just a repository, it serves as a sanctuary for wine enthusiasts. What an absolutely fabulous experience in Zagreb! I am a self proclaimed Oenophile and so I could not pass up an opportunity to visit Bornstein Wine bar while in Zagreb. During my time in Croatia I really enjoyed learning about their unique wines, wine culture and processing. This experience was truly unique and the prices here are very affordable. We were taken care of by a woman named Doris who was so patient in answering all my questions and thorough in her explanations of the wines, history and regions. She went out of her way to make the experience special including making sure I got to try wines that I hadn't already tasted elsewhere. All the wine was paired with a wonderful cheese, olive and bread tray enhancing and elevating the wines. The atmosphere here is so cool, you feel like you are transported to a centuries old wine cellar including getting to see the oldest bottle of wine in Croatia! I would definitely frequent this place if I lived in Zagreb for unique glasses of rare wines, and even do the wine tasting multiple times due to the fact that Doris picked different wines to create a new experience. If you love wine and learning about wine, or just a good glass you can't get just anywhere I highly recommend going here.

We did the Croatian Tour wine tasting menu. This was great! The owner was very knowledgeable and we had a great time. The wine tasting came with a selection of cheeses which were all delectable, and a small bowl of bread with a Croatian olive oil. Would highly recommended for both people who know a little about wine and for the experts as the history of the wine was the main focus. A must-go if you’re in Zagreb.
Oliver F — Google review
Doris was most helpful, explaining the terroir of each of the wines we tasted. The Istrian meat and cheese plates were an excellent way to complement the wines. It’s clear that the owners are passionate about their craft. A most enjoyable evening.

I can't rate the food as we just went for late night drinks. Fabulous wine bar just a few minutes walk from Ban Jelačića Square, nice and close to the centre but in a quiet part of town. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, the building and place look stunning. Owners are knowledgeable and know their wines, I had a new variety of white that I tried called Pusipel which was stunning - dry and crisp. Just what I wanted! Highly recommend this place, worth a visit to do some wine tasting, sit, relax and enjoy the stunning ambiance.

As a prominent figure in Zagreb's burgeoning craft beer scene, The Garden Brewery also serves as a sought-after late-night establishment, drawing international DJs and local talent for lively parties.
Came here whilst on a weekend break for a family birthday - absolutely fantastic guided tour of the brewery and operation- the guide and master brewer Louis was really informative and enthusiastic. Then we had a few samples of the lager and IPA - get ready they are strong! Ranging between 3% & 10%, it’s got something for everyone. As a bonus, the food was amazing too! Highly recommended trip out if you are interested in this type of thing.

Loved it here. The staff were very friendly and the beer was excellent. They had 4-5 sours on tap, and sometimes it’s hard to find sours. It had rained the day before we came so the patio was pretty wet. They had nice covered patios for people to sit under outside and there was ample seating inside. I liked the airstream outside—cute touch. There is food to eat there, submarine and another restaurant.

Very friendly staff. Good selection of beers, both on tap and in cans — including their own craft brews. We took a few cans to go — the beer was excellent: affogato stout, mango IPA, and more. Spacious terrace and parking.Good music. Thank you for the present and the 25% off for take away beer! Highly recommend! ☺️

In my last few holidays in Croatia I fell in love with this company and it‘s beers. So a visit to the actual brewery was a no brainer as I was in Zagreb for a few days. Exceptional sour beers and service with great ambience and plenty of seating to enjoy an evening. Also super convenient to have two food hall options on site to choose from. The smash burgers at Submarine were so tasty with thin patties and delicious melted cheese and the chicken and cheese fries at the other stall were superb.

A must for all beer lovers. Non-smoking!!! Very hard to find such a place in Zagreb. And you won’t stay hungry too, there are two small street food buffets offering tasty meals, even for vegans or vegetarians. And you can buy some beer home too.

I was there on a Saturday for the brewery tour, and it was well worth it! Conor led us through the brewery. He explained the brewery's processes in detail and with humor. After the tour, we enjoyed a tasting in the brewery's beautiful garden area. Conor worked overtime and stayed with our group for a few more beers, during which we chatted about everything and laughed a lot. In between, we got delicious burgers from Submarine, which is located right in the same building. Unfortunately, they didn't have the full selection of beers (on tap and in cans) at this time of year. Otherwise, it was an all-around great experience, and the tour, including the tasting for €20, plus a 20% discount on any subsequent consumption, was a very fair deal. The Garden Brewery is definitely high on my list if I return to Zagreb.

We went to this bar because they have promotion 20% discount on draft beer. In the end they charged us full price and even lied that’s 500ml beer cost 6.20€. We paid 10.40€ for 2 beers… we even leaved tips and I checked later how much it’s actually cost because 6.20€ - 20% is not 5.20€ !!! It’s not about money, it’s at all but respects toward customers!!! Cool decorations, the design really gives it an "worn-out" look, something that many pubs are desperately trying to achieve. Also, it is huge! Multiple different sections for different preferences - a shared zone is available, sitting next to a window too, and also a more private, chilled out 'lounge' in the back. We met some pretty colorful characters here too! (Recommedations for the rakija!)

Amazing rock / metal themed bar in Zagreb. When I walked in Metallica was playing and I knew I found my new favorite bar. Food was incredible. I had cevapi, a huge portion for the 8 euro price. Beer was great, they have some good Croatian beers on tap, and the manager Zvonimir was a great guy. All the servers spoke excellent English for my Croatian impaired wife. Exactly how it sounds 😁 However, it is not a beer factory, just a metal/rock bar. I like it. Great music. It is expensive tho. I payed 2 beers almost 10 euros. Few years ago that was unimaginable in Croatia. Also it is full of smoke .🚬 Toilet has no lock, and the number of urinals is ridicculosly small (2) if compared to the capacity of the bar. And only 3 waiters. 🤯 They are overworked and stressed. 🥲

Ordered a 'Fungi' pizza, received a pie with thick dough, covered with extremely salty cheese (or a cheese substitute) which made it barely edible. There was almost no mushrooms on the pizza as shown on the photo, just a very few very thin slices. You could not smell or taste the mushrooms, that's how little there was. I might give them another chance, but definitely not with any kind of pizza. In response to bff's response - I had other pizzas in Zagreb and all over the world, either it is not the same cheese or someone dropped a salt shaker in it. My point is that it was not quite edible.
Samui G — Google review
One of the best places to visit in Zagreb if you love rock. I'm a regular ever since the club opened because of a single reason - it remains one of the best bars/clubs in Zagreb. The drinks are reasonably priced and offered in a wide selection and their staff is quick and polite. It also features live rock gigs at least once a week all year round with some great instrumental sessions out in the open in the summer. Right next door is the Bikers Food Factory, run by the same folks and offering some great food they'll happily serve at your table as you enjoy the great atmosphere. Pay it a visit and you won't regret it.

Vintage Industrial Bar, situated in a renovated button factory, exudes a rock-and-roll vibe with its original concrete, exposed brick, and metal girders. The interior is far from minimalist, featuring comfortable seating and clever lighting. The bar offers an extensive selection of beers including Ozujsko and Leffe alongside Perkovic rakijas. Regular gigs and DJ events cater to diverse musical tastes in the adjoining hall.
It is one of the best hard rock bars in Zagreb, the famous gathering of rock and metal bands fans at after parties once the big concerts finish, but they organise the great live concerts as well. If you simply want to hang out with a variety of people who share your rock music taste, this is a place!

For pub/club The beer is very good and very cheap. Atmosphere is absolutely outstanding, however the music can sometimes be a bit dead. Depending on who DJs. So make sure you pick the right occasion and I guarantee you'll have a brilliant time.

nice and fun place, during the summer all was ok but my rating drops down because of current situation - customers are begging for drinks because there are not enough waiters even though the place is barely half full. also, an arrogant aggressive security guard at the entrance (obese one with eyeglasses) leaves much to be desired and makes you feel unwelcome. on the bright side, cheers to joza and vinko ;) you guys are doing a great job considering the circumstances. p.s. removed another star for not accepting cards and again, for rude and aggressive guard, just left such bad impression.

Really cozy bar - cozy music, good service and good prices. 1 draft beer 18 kuna, and lots of different options. Hidden gem. A bit far away from center, but worth a walk. Smoking inside is aloud - be aware of this.

I visited Booze and Blues on a Monday night, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience . Unfortunately there was no band, however I expected that for a Monday. The basement is _awesome_ if you love dancing and (electro) funk music!!! There was enough space to dance freely, no broken glass on the floor or mess on the tables. I loved the music and got really deep into it <3 On the downside, it is not good for claustrophobia xD The ceiling is low, it feels dark, small and heavy air. For some reason, the crowd was almost exclusively male.

A great place is currently advertising and is called Kozel. Despite the busy hour, they quickly found us a place for four. Admirations for the waitress - smiling, quick, with a sense of humor, explains well and takes care of everything. The food was extremely tasty and quickly prepared. Try the cream of mushroom soup and the blood sausage, you will be enchanted. I recommend the restaurant! We will be back again!

I cannot say that I would recommend this restaurant. The food is quite average - not particularly tasty, though not bad either. Take a look at the burger; it doesn’t even appear appetizing. The beer is served in smaller quantities than expected. The restroom is extremely small, and the faucet only provides cold water, which is especially uncomfortable during the colder months. On the positive side, I can highlight the quick service.

10/10 would recommend! Our family of six truly enjoyed our dining experience at ozujsko pub. The atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Seating is comfortable and our service from Luka was the best we have had since living and traveling in Europe the past 4 years. Our kids all got different burgers and loved each bite. I had a veggie burger and grilled veggies instead of fries 10/10. My husband got a platter recommended by Luka and was glad he did. Thank you for this perfect dining experience.
Heather J — Google review
We waited 40 minutes for the order to arrive, the waitress recommended multiple times to have some fries without telling us the price and after we checked that regular fries cost 3,40€, in less than 2 minutes we asked her if we could change the fries with pub potatoes instead and the answer was absolutely no without even thinking or asking if it was possible. (They already made the fries in less than 2 minutes and they couldn't change?!) I saw they would bring the food to other tables that ordered after us, in less time than they served us but it wasn't possible to change the fries? I'm sure the fries weren't even ready when we asked to change. We asked for ketchup and the waitress said ketchup mayonesse? So we said ok and she brought us ketchup and mayo in small bags and charged them 1,40 (or 1,50€ i dont remember exactly) EACH!!! This is the first time except from fast foods that they charge us for ketchup and mayo. In the end, when we asked for the bill, we paid in cash and we waited more than 10 minutes for the change and when we asked the waitress for it she said she thought it was a tip...??! No we never told her to keep the change or anything, but of course she wanted to keep it. Unbelievable unprofessional behaviour. We always leave tips when we visit other places but this time I'm sorry to say that was the worst service we ever had, we weren't satisfied with how she treated us as guests. We saw other waiters there running all the time but unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all with the one that served us. Overall, burgers were good, chicken burger had too much paprika in the minced meat.

So many good things to say about this place- Pros: *their cheese plate we ordered had 3 cheese selections & each one got progressive better & better, especially the TRUFFLE cheese (it's been a few days since we had it & we're still thinking about it! So good!) *they're open very late (2am) & even though we got there after midnight, they seated us & never rushed us even though we stayed til closing *inside decor was cute & comfy & they have a large outdoor seating area *they were patient with our tourist questions & uncertainty Cons: *they no longer have the chicken sausage that used to be on their old menu we saw in some else's review *that's it - they have no other cons; everything was so good - go there!

The waiter met some guests, they we choosing the table not far from us and the waiter asked me: when are you going to leave? I told him it is so rude from his side. I don’t know his name, he has light hair. It is inappropriate to send guests away in such an impolite manner. I have never faced such an attitude from waiters. Bar
Valhalla beer bar is a hidden gem tucked away in the upper reaches of Radiceva. Despite its heavy metal pub billing, it offers a mellow and unpretentious atmosphere that attracts a cosmopolitan crowd. The bar boasts about 200 craft beers to choose from, including Croatian brews from small breweries. While it doesn't serve food, patrons can enjoy a variety of lagers, pilsners, and IPAs on tap.
Probably the best-established beer bar in Zagreb. Now with outdoor seating at a pretty amazing and historical location just a minute away from Jelačić Square. Smoking is allowed, as per the Croatian bar culture, but the new outdoor seating, that's largely available throughout the day, now provides an option for non-smokers. The word "bar" is after all in the name of the place, and it's there with full meaning. This is not a brewpub, nor a taproom, nor a beer hall. It's a metal bar with a fantastic selection of beer. You can read the numerized beer table outside, or above the bar on the inside, and then tell the keepers the number and size you're going for. There's also a refrigerated selection of canned beer that can be bought as takeout. It's not the most courteous place in the world. The keepers have maintained a no-nonsense approach for a long time. It makes the atmosphere safe for everyone regardless of their identity, which is unfortunately not always the case in the country and the wider region.

The bar man is a grubby sod but hey, he has to stand on the wrong side of the beer and serve cold ones to tourists like us. I understand but it was funny watching him work his space. We had four excellent beers here, sat at the bar. I actually would recommend it. See if you can get him to smile
John T — Google review
The interior looks nicely decorated, service is very kind and there's a huge terrace behind. Although the place is dog friendly, it's also smoke friendly what doesn't impress me since it's a habit that belongs more to the past rather than 2025/26. It would be better if only e-cigarettes were allowed instead of regular ones since not only they smell less, but it's also newer technology. It's the same as driving a car with a carbureted engine versus that with fuel injection. Previously, there was a non-smoking establishment in it's place, but after it closed down, unfortunately this came. Music is also quite loud, but since it's a bar, it needs to be loud.
The E — Google review
This place pretends to be a rock and metal bar, however the music is so quiet you can't hear anything, just people talking. There is a wide choice of beers but I was given a dirty glass. The toilets smell very bad of urine and everywhere elses smells of smoke. The barman/owner also smells of body odour and is the rudest and most unhappy man i have seen working in any bar. There are many better bars in Zagreb.

Lovely bar. I can see why it has become so popular! The service was fantastic. Kudos to our server, not sure what his name is (tattooed guy, dark hair...)- Made no mistakes and ensured was going well. The selection for drinks is wide and unique. As you can see they have some interesting cocktails like this cotton candy one. The atmosphere is nice, you've got a terrace outside- it's quite city vibes, you're between the street and the sidewalk. On the inside it's like a steam punk (hence "fog") old vintage vibe, very cool. Music is nice, the played some 80s pop hits which I personally liked. The place is as stylish as it is Instagrammable, making it well worth splurging a little on their top-notch cocktails. Highly recommend for any time of the day.

A bit tacky and expensive, probably one to miss as a tourist but maybe one for local students. Was pretty busy with a bit of an atmosphere but not as much as you would expect for a place so busy. I wouldn't specifically say not to go but it definitely wouldn't be one I'd recommend as there are some other great local bars.

This place is very unique has some amazing pieces of art.... as well as the menu. I’m Peruvian and for this first time I tried a fantastic chocolate Inca tea. I must say I Was fascinated with the unique flavour. The waiter was so nice as professional he knew it all the menu by heart. Definitely I recommend to visit this place.

Great choice of beers. Awesome atmosphere really cool place to visit.

The place has great selection of craft beers on tap and even more bottled. The atmosphere is laid back, and with alternative vibes. There are not many seating options but you can stand and mingle since there is large open floor and the place is buzzing with guests even on working nights. The venue also hosts a record store upstairs and a club doenstairs. Its worth visiting.

Interesting place near center of Zagreb. There is some selection of craft beer.

Place looks like you entered into 80's, nicely decorated with old chairs and tables. Minimalistical. Good for morning coffee. It's also a pet friendly bar. In level -1 there are concerts, so if you look for good place little bit out of city center and Main square check this place. Beer is around 15HRK (2€).
Hrvoje P — Google review
Nice music and atmosphere, simple but cozy interior, it's also dog-friendly and has a cool store upstairs. But the waitress was several times a little bit unfriendly and obviously not interested in having customers, because she never mentioned that there was also a second room downstairs. The third time we went there, we already wanted to leave again because no table was free and she just told us to look around for ourselves. Fortunately, another costumer assigned us to the stairs which lead to the basement, where there were several free tables and the owner apologized later for the misunderstanding.

One of my favourite places in Zagreb to drink coffee, grab some beer and enjoy good atmosphere that's always in the air when I come there. They have various types of events so you can attend dub party, punk night or hip hop concert at the same week. The best thing is that they have merchandise and record shop on the first floor. And pink toilet, really pink.

Love the vibe there; it's very 80's! Great interior and usually great music. The dance floor is a bit too small and ventilation system should be more efficient tho :)

Cocktail bar
Time Restaurant & Bar is a trendy and sophisticated spot located just off the main square in Zagreb. The menu offers an extensive selection of Asian-inspired fusion dishes, blending fresh Adriatic ingredients with traditional eastern flavors. The restaurant sources many of its ingredients from nearby markets and coastal areas, ensuring high-quality and flavorful meals. In the evening, the bar transforms into a late-night club with a refined atmosphere, offering a variety of spirits, beers, and wines.
Arguably the best sushi in Zagreb with extremely fresh fish and perfectly cooked rice. Amazing Japanese style dumplings and great desserts. The prices are on the higher end of the scale, but overall it's worth it. I can't seem to stop coming back. :) P.S. Go for the fatty tuna variant. It's so much better.

It is lunch time and we are the only ones having lunch. The place looks nice. The food looks good but it was so incredibly salty that it destroyed the whole tasting experience. It is quite expensive too. The time is a good bar but a restaurant to avoid.
Nicolas G — Google review
I had a vegetarian curry, which is quite good and surprisingly innovative in terms of curry. I also had a order of avocado roll. Somehow I don’t like them although I think they taste good. The only thing I’d criticize about this restaurant is that it smells like smoke too much, it affected my dining experience.
Shiuan C — Google review
Good restaurant for celebratory gatherings. They’ve got any type of best sellers for the fans of American style sushi. The ambience of this place is extremely nice and cozy, so you can visit it even only for a drink or two.

Very high quality of food (Michelin worthy) and amazing presentation. The service was great and the surrounding as hipster as it can get. I would recommend the tasting menu (a bit of everything).

Asian food in Zagreb centar! Great place for lunch or dinner. Amazing sushi! Awesome waiters and great ambient. Food is prepared as you order it, nothing is done upfront. You have to make reservation since they are always crowded but ita worth it! If you come early or want to stay later you have bar there and you can party there. Staff is great and everything is perfect. I definitly recommend this restoran and bar to who ever loves great sushi or asian food and wants to experience great ambient. Prices are on the higher scale but it is worth it.

I absolutely love this place. One of my favorite places in the city, coffee place, wine place, sushi place..depends what you need at the moment, but it has great energy, staff is very polite, place is cozy, elegant and very stylish. Sometimes I go there just to drink glass of wine and relax from busy day, but definitely try what they offer. My usual choice is sushi but also other fusion what they offer is very good. Try their famous ice cream frozen with nitro (Cheese cake icecream, omg delicious❤️). Wine list is more then good. Also, place is good in autumn and winter for night out. Try it, it is just glance away from the main square. You will always find time for time😎
Marjeta K — Google review
Went there for new year's Eve. Got a bit excited because it was Michelin recommended with Asian Fusion food. Food was average at best. The ramen they had on the menu was made from spaghetti. The fish curry was very average and the maki was also sub par. I'm Asian, so most probably I was expecting something more different, but I can tell that the fusion part was the restaurant trying to suit the local taste. Waiter was kind. But service was extremely slow. Won't recommend.

The bodyguards were clearly racist - they didn't let in our friend from Egypt telling him that it was a private party, but a few minutes before they let us in without any problems. We were loyal Roko's guests, visiting almost every weekend, but after this experience we will sadly never again enter the club. We are really disappointed.

Močvara, also known as the Swamp, is a unique and alternative club space in Zagreb that offers a diverse range of cultural activities. Managed by the Kontejner organisation, this former factory turned gallery hosts film nights, exhibitions, rock concerts, symposiums, and new media art events with a focus on sound art and technology. The venue has welcomed international acts like the Buzzcocks and Mogwai as well as local talents.
Went there for the Silver Hoyem concert. They also provided some finger food while waiting for the concert. In general, there is a more "alternative" club comparing to the most clubs in Europe. I like the underground vives as well as the ACAB, and fully feminist vibes. All the experience there is just more than amazing! Cheap drinks as well. Last but bot least I would call it more like a "collectiva" than just a club. I was 2 times in Zagreb, both of them visited Mocvara. Definitely recommended for a visit!!!

Total disappointment despite the nice reviews here. Interior was nice and unique, that's all the positive stuff. Negatives: Bartenders didn't care when we ordered 2 beers at the bar, just pointed to our table. We waited 10 minutes before leaving, the bartenders were washing mugs and preparing coffee despite everyone had some drinks on their tables. People smoke inside the pub and our table had mugs and glasses on it. Staff acted unprofessional, careless, looked depressed.

I even got my friends to translate but the securities are unreasonable there. He even hit me and pushed me. They are agressive and doesnt listen. I dont recommend the club. Its just stupid of the owner to employ such guys it will only ruin the business.
David S — Google review
The venue overall is entrancing with lighting, sound and liquid nitrogen machine. The dancers, costumed staff, and musicians were unique and exciting. Staff was pretty respectful and diligent in attending to our bottles. My only gripe would be with how dirty the VIP tables and booths were underneath and on the sides. It appeared that someone was sick at our table some point prior to our stay and that took away slightly from the experience. Besides that, I would say this place is very fun and a great night life destination if you are in Zagreb.

Unfortunate thing happened. I ordered a Coca Cola and gave 20 euros. Barman gave me 15 back. I checked the menu and it costs normally 3,50. I told the barman I should get more money back. He mumbled something and started to look for it. I walked away, let him have the tip. Such things are a matter of principle, I would’ve left that money anyway.

We had a good time ☺️ I loved the pea cream which came with the trout. Delish 😍 One slight disappointment was that the trout was proposed to be coated with 'hazelnut crust', which was missing. I didn't get any explanation for that, but perhaps was it because I asked a garlic -free dish? It would have been nice to have some hazelnuts !

Beautiful and quiet dining room. Service was first rate. Jan our server was very attentive and informative. His suggestions were right on the spot. The chard tart starter was not to be missed flavored by the local olive oil. We also enjoyed the veal main dish and the deconstructed poppy seed and cheese cake. The Pinot noir and Chardonnay weekly suggested wines very nice. Good celebration of Croatian food and libations.

A very good local restaurant with some traditional Croatian food. The Monkfish and Zagreb cutlet are delicious. Only one downside is waiting quite long for the dishes.

Awful place. The service is really bad in terms of speed even when the place is not full. The waiters however are amazing and doing their best. They even suggested local dishes and starters/deserts. However the food is awful. The prices are over the roof and the place is definitely NOT recommended. If you value your sense of taste, eat somewhere else.

This restaurant had food I will dream about being able to eat again. The portion sizes were quite reasonable too. I got the veal schnitzel and the cheese literally oozed out of it. My friend had a beef filet, I think, and it was the most tender piece of meat it literally melted like butter in your mouth. Dessert was also incredibly tasty, if I recall I got a chocolate mocha cake and devoured it. Wine was good and the waitstaff were attentive.

A group of us went yesterday on a Sunday. Made reservation and would suggest this as I can see this restaurant being busy during regular week. Ordered the baked sea cream fish and tried the lamb too. Both were made. Fish as suspected was very fresh. The server was very friendly as we requested separate bills with no issues. Would recommend and the ambience was very nice.

Beautiful restaurant, unfortunately the food was abit too salty for my liking. I had to push the cheese out of my schnitzel. My pasta was pretty good besides the salt level. Service is eh at best. Went for the acclaimed French toast but on the menu they have scratched through it - our waiter said the cooks said it took too much time but the waiters want them to bring it back because it was so popular. Was recommended this place, and I tried the Zagreb Breakfast. It was alright. Though I feel the ratio of things was a bit off. It was a lot of salad and bread and very little else. Still tasted good though. Service was alright, but they seemed confused, I put my order in with a waitress and three minutes later a waiter comes to take my order. And the table next to me got their order delivered twice. Someone forgot how to communicate haha. I'd come here again but probably go get something else than the Zagreb breakfast.
Kenny A — Google review
Very welcoming elegant, and yet homey type of restaurant near the main square in downtown Zagreb Croatia. The staff here at Otto and Frank is patient, kind and very friendly. I enjoy the egg on toast 😋, since I am Ketovore, I didn't eat the toast. They served coffee but like everywhere in many countries in Europe. They serve lukewarm coffee not hot coffee. You don't get free refills on anything you can order to drink except water. And the larger coffee cups are half the size of the average coffee cup you get in the United States. Half coffee and half warm milk is served everywhere. It doesn't difficult. To find any place that has a normal American size coffee cup. And it's difficult to get anybody to serve coffee steaming hot, which is the way. Coffee is supposed to be But that's the way it is throughout Europe. Lukeworn coffee, that's half coffee half milk. And no refills, unless you pay for each refill. That's my biggest complaint about being able to enjoy coffee while in Europe. But I would recommend Otto and Frank's restaurant to anybody who is visiting Zagreb Croatia.

I had high expectations going into this but was unfortunately so disappointed. I heard this place is Michelin recommended but I’m surprised that this is the case after experiencing it. Maybe it was an off day but here are a list of all the notable things that left a bad taste in my mouth: - The service was nearly non-existent. Once seated we had to ask for the menu, ask to order, waited an abnormally long time for our courses to come out and to get the check - I think the waiter spent more time flirting with the lady at the table next to us than paying attention to our table. She wrote him a long note on the placemat and he spent some time going to the coat area to put it in his coat? Very strange… - My glass was dirty and only noticed after my drink was poured into it, meaning that they tossed it and poured more from the bottle that we purchased (so it was wasted) - Initially I was given the incorrect wrong main dish. The correct one was relatively quick to come out, but we knew the other dishes were ready and getting cold - we were given “bread from the kitchen” which was actually an “optional” menu item. The bread was cold and the butter was okay, but if I had known it was extra cost I don’t think I would have ordered it. To be clear, this was given to us without having asked - when the check came, we were told multiple times that “service charge was not included” without an option to add anything when paying by card. This tactic felt like a “tourist trap” technique to take advantage of tipping culture and get it in cash? The food overall was okay but the service really ruined it for us. I wouldn’t come back which is sad because I was excited to try this place

Hands down, one of the best meals we have ever had and a top highlight of our trip to Zagreb. Service was exemplary. Each course was creative and better than the last. Food was so fresh. Outstanding from start to finish. 5 stars isn’t enough.

Amazing restaurant, we were in awe before the plates, the food was beyond spectacular. Every dish was packed full of subtle flavors, and each bite was a joy to the mouth. Truly one of the best restaurant I've ever had. The service was on par with the food, and Ian was there to help us with every if our need, explaining the contents of our plates or bringing us more bread. We were welcomed with top notch service and food for the affordable price of ≈40€ for main course and dessert. I truly recommend this place to anyone who has even a passing interest in quality food, as this is a wonderful experience that was a highlight of our stay in Zagreb. Merci beaucoup !

They kindly accommodated us as a group of 7, outdoor seating, with no reservation and I’m so glad they did!!! The gentleman taking care of us was lovely - making sure to give us descriptions of each dish ordered. The food was AMAZING!!!! the dishes were a masterpiece!! the bread + butter, tuna tartare, chicken + egg dish 🤌🏻

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of care and attention goes into the kitchen. What truly made our visit special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Their warmth and professionalism created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

Sports bar
Brewbites is an American-themed sports bar that offers burgers, BBQ, and other American eats in addition to draft beer and a seasonal terrace. The food is phenomenal, with the Jaw Distortion burger being a standout favorite. The restaurant is full of American memorabilia and has ample seating in both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Superb staff! Thoughtful and quick to our need. Food is good! We ordered onion chilly burgers, which were quite a big portion for us. Potato chips as a side dish are tasty too!

Surprisingly for us it happens to be the great place for burgers and cocktails. All the time the dishes were well done and the stuff was super professional. The waiters remember a huge order by heart, speak great English and are super welcoming.

Lets say for visiting Croatia this brought me home. Amazing burger with this brioche bun. Loved the appetizer forgot the name of it but that cheese sauce was 🔥 they take card and is fairly priced. For more food adventures follow @eatingwithgetfresh

I have visited this place before, and it has great food, especially hamburgers. You can even get them delivered to you. They also have desserts and salads, if you want to go healthy. The terrace can be found across the street from the restaurant. You can also eat there, on fresh air. A very good place to eat in downtown Zagreb!
Ivan M — Google review
Went on a late evening here. I didn't have the chance to taste their burgers since my order was forgotten. This was not a major issue for me, but the waiter apologized and promised he'll remove de drinks out of the order since other food could no longer be placed since the kitchen was closed. He did not do that in the end. Which I wouldn't have mind if he wouldn't have told us in the first place. Anywaaays besides the bad service: The onion rings that were shared at the table were kind of dry. Their cheese sauce is just jar nachos sauce. The people who got the chance to eat burgers said that they were very tasty.

Brewbites has an amazing garden oasis in the backyard of the archaeological museum. Coffee is great and the chill music also. But since owners have changed, the service could really be more attentive and faster.

The food was excellent! The spareribs were so tender they fell of almost immediately 😋 I would really recommend them! It was only sad they don't serve desserts. The garden is also very lovely

It used to be one of the best american restaurants in Zagreb, they removed my favorite pulled pork burger from the menu and replaced it with Asian dishes. The prices are too high for the amount of food you get and the only thing this restaurant keeps at a high level is the location and lots of TVs

Barbeerian - BBQ & Beer is a popular spot in Zagreb that offers a wide selection of craft beers from small breweries. The pub features a terrace, a bar, and even a basement for private parties, making it suitable for accommodating large crowds. The menu includes delicious burgers and sandwiches that cater to various tastes. With over 100 local and international beers available, visitors can enjoy the perfect pairing of flavorful burgers with unique beer options.
Great spot, friendly staff. really good barbecue and selection of hot sauces, and amazing selection of beer both on tap and from the fridge! Prices are about what you'd expect from a restaurant in the center, certainly not cheap, but not prohibitively expensive. Since I first went here in January, I've been back twice, and plan to go back again soon!

Great bar with a large selection of beers, local and imported. I didn't expected to have such a large list of Belgium beers! The food, was tasty although is clear that we re referring to unhealthy food, that's why is a bar :)). Service is great!

My wife and I stopped for lunch here, and it was excellent. First, the views from the second floor terrace were excellent. It was a warm day, and the terrace was shaded by large umbrellas, and there was a soft breeze. Very pleasant! The food was tasty and the beer was excellent. Some very nice IPAs, a welcome break from the ever-present lagers of Croatia.

This place is a masterpiece. The food is ridiculously good. The beer list is extensive, though I’ve mostly stuck to one flawless option (I’m not naming it, it's mine, pick something else). The vibe? Effortlessly perfect. Even the music is not just background noise, it's your favourite playlist on shuffle. Right by the door, there’s an entire shrine of hot sauces. 🌶️ My only regret is discovering, when I came home, that I had food in my teeth while paying the bill. I’ll be remembering that at 3 a.m. for the next twenty years.

A nice choice of I think five craft beers, each of different style, so everybody will find something for themselves. Food was really tasty and filling too. A fine example of a restaurant made with love and passion.

The place is amazing, especialy on the roof terace and the food is great. Unfortunately, we were a bigger group that paid separately for the drinks and food and the last person to leave had to pay again for something that was already paid..

If you like craft beer at all, check this place out. A fantastic selection of beers for all over the world (check out the house pale ale!) so something for everyone. The staff clearly care about beer & definitely about customer service too. Cool atmosphere, good tunes & a nice vibe about the premises. Definitely check this place out when you're in Zagreb, you won't be disappointed.

Asian fusion restaurant
SOI Fusion, located in Zagreb, offers a small but delectable menu of Asian fusion street food. The restaurant is known for its flavorful dishes like Tonkotsu ramen with pork broth and glazed char siu, as well as Tuna poke with sushi rice and raw tuna. The establishment has gained popularity for being one of the first to introduce ramen in the area.
Delicious food, beautiful building. I would recommend this place! Saturdays are busy and I’d recommend making reservations for weekends. Prices were okay! First time in Croatia so maybe things are fine differently but the glass of wine seemed stingy. When asked, the bartender said it’s a normal pour. Staff was okay.

I was super stuffed after the lunch at this place. Everything seemed delicious that I ended up over-ordering. Only now days later finally I remember to give my review for this place. One of the best Asian food restaurants in Zagreb. Although they might have been altered to suit the taste of the locals, it’s understandable as they placed themselves as a “fusion” restaurant.

Delicious Ramen. The tonkatsu Ramen broth is really tasty, ingredients are top quality, definitely one of the best ramens I had (and I had a lot). Cooking of the egg could be improved (slightly overcooked), but not a big deal. Highly recommend 👍🏻.

So glad we found this place! After a long day, this was just what we needed. Absolutely amazing food, everything we had was delicious. The chicken gyoza and karaage chicken bun was moist and tasty. Then the noodles and the pork belly donburi was just incredible. So tasty with tender pork. It was all perfect! I would definitely recommend. Staff were great too and it was busy for a Tuesday evening.

I love all kinds of Asian food and this was a hit! You won't get overwhelmed by the menu because it's carefully selected. Pork belly bao was amazing, as was tuna poke bowl. Tuna was well marinated, rice well seasoned and I loved the choice of toppings. My boyfriend had gyozas and karaage chicken donburi - he enjoyed both. I highly recommend reserving a table. We came on Monday evening and I don't think we'd have a place to sit if we hadn't reserved a table. The atmosphere is vibrant and international, after all the restaurant is situated in the courtyard of a hostel and beneath Swankey's terrace. We spoke English with the waitress which was honestly no problem for us. We were also served quickly even tho the place was full. The only downside of our experience were the drinks! I'm not a wine snob but I like to have a good glass of wine, this one unfortunately wasn't it (Dobra berba "Biello") 😬 And ice cubes in my boyfriend's drink had an unpleasant smell/taste. So all in all, we'll definitely come back and try different drinks 😄

We ordered the Khao Soi Ramen — it was delicious and quite unusual, I tried this kind of ramen for the first time! The interior was interesting, and the friendly service was also a nice surprise — at our request, we were moved to another table (since one of the rooms was a bit stuffy). We’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! 😊

PRICE Actually very good prices regarding the location, 12-15€ per dish on average. FOOD Chicken katsu is what I took, decent portion, great flavours, I was very satisfied. Botaničar is a stylish café and bar located near the botanical gardens in Zagreb. The venue boasts a retro aesthetic with '70s hairpin-legged tables, bright velvet sofas, and leafy plants inspired by the nearby gardens. It also serves as an art gallery at times. The menu features coffee from local roasteries, craft beer, and domestic wines. This chic spot is popular among locals for its beautiful interior and selection of quality drinks.
Really nice vibes from the start! A great place to Fjaka, enjoy a coffee and good company. We ordered 2 coffees with milk. Also a sign of a good coffee place is if they give you a glass of water which they did. Really nice design, good taste and solid quantity. Also it was fine for us but notable for some, you can smoke inside. For payment you can use card or cash.
Josh B — Google review
Very nice place to enjoy your coffee. Very industrial and modern. The latte and the coffee was tasty and good. The only minus star is because everybody smokes inside and we couldn't stand the smoke after a while. Moreover your clothes and hair smell so bad after a small stay there.
Ellh C — Google review
As a non-smoker tourist, I have to say this pub has a lot going for it—great atmosphere, lovely staff, and a nice spot to grab a drink. However, the smoking inside was a bit of a bummer for me. While the smokers were comfortably enjoying themselves inside, I found it tricky to enjoy my drink without that smoke lingering in the air and on the taste buds. We ended up retreating outside, which was lovely on such a nice day. If you're a smoker, you'll probably love it here, but as a non-smoker, I'd prefer to keep the fresh air with my pint. But really, the staff were wonderful, so they almost made up for it!
Maria F — Google review
Botaničar is a charming café tucked away on the quiet street of Marka Marulića, just steps from the Botanical Garden. The name perfectly reflects the theme and ambiance of the place. Inside, the café is cozy and stylish, designed in a modern, Scandinavian-student-inspired style that feels both fresh and welcoming. Outside, the terrace is small but very cozy, partly sheltered by plants, which successfully creates a relaxing, green atmosphere. In the morning, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy your coffee in the shade, while in the afternoon, the tables across the street—almost in a little park—offer a lovely green view that adds extra charm to the café experience. What stood out the most was the staff—uniformed, professional, and authentic—which made our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, Botaničar is a delightful spot to relax, enjoy good coffee, and soak in a calm, botanical-inspired atmosphere.

Kino Europa is Zagreb's oldest and most beloved independent cinema, featuring a large bar and bustling terrace popular with students, artists, and locals. Built in 1924, it was acquired by the City of Zagreb in 2007 and is now managed by the Zagreb Film Festival. The goal is to establish the cinema as a regional hub for film and art.

Cozy place located in Zagreb's center, where one can come watch great movies (usually ones from the not so conventional side and also hosts some pretty good movie festivals) but also drink excellent coffee, tea, mulled wine or bear. We waited for over 20 minutes before someone came to take our order or clean the table from the previous patrons' glasses, despite the fact that they suggested we sit there, and that someone would come to clean and take our order. The waitress was arrogant and rude and almost forgot about us and our order. The atmosphere was not bad, but the staff kind of made feel unwelcome. I guess they don't care, since tourists come and go and they won't become regulars anyway. They only accept cash (did not affect the review) Would not recommend, there are far better and vfm places nearby. Just to clarify, they had the cheapest drinks around, but other than that, the overall experience was bad.

Pod starim krovovima, located north of St. Mark's Church in Zagreb, is a classic coffee shop dating back to 1830. The establishment exudes old-world charm with its wooden panelling, timber-beamed ceiling, and vintage decor. It has been a popular haunt for writers and actors since the 19th century and continues to attract a loyal late-night crowd with art exhibitions and occasional concerts.
This must be one of my most favourite places in Zagreb! We ended up there one night after walking through the less crowded streets of the old town and we couldn't have done better! It's a lovely place and you just get the vibe the minute you step foot inside, it's got very good beer and a selection of other drinks and all that at very good prices! The bartender was also a very nice, very helpful and cheerful man which was a breath of fresh air compared to some other places we went! I seriously can't recommend this place enough, it was just perfect and you're probably going to meet the nicest people there! Not to mention a few fellow metalheads as well which is always a plus in my book! Just go get a beer!

Legendary Croatian bar. 😀 Made famous by the movie "One Song a Day Takes Mischief Away" from 1970 📺 Some of the quotes from the film are framed. Sadly, they do not take a card. Also the service could be better - as the waiter was missing that old Zagreb class that this place is known for. 😐 On the other hand..."gemišt" ( white wine + sparkling water, 50/50 ratio ) was tasty. Very refreshing.
Gozo B — Google review
"Pod starim krovovima" (under old rooftops) is a local institution of sorts. An old Croatian movie was filmed there and you can see the motifs from it everywhere. It can get crowded but that's part of the charm. Also, smoking is allowed inside so if you have a problem with that, it may not be the place for you. The drinks are among the cheaper ones in Zagreb and experiencing it at least once is a must!

All thumbs up for this amazing place. It is the oldest tavern of Zagreb dated from 1830! And its location is on a beautiful alley, and in a district of Zagreb, where we absolutely fell in love with. Moreover, we found a totally empty bar while we were expecting a fully packed place. Therefore, I believe it is not highly advertised, which is another big plus.

I was first there on Friday 4 March 2022. The place was buzzing, in a nice way, not messy, but the smoking ban is just for lolz in Croatia. Pizza deliveries peppered the night. The drinks there are inexpensive but I like to prepare for "events, dear boy" abroad, and so happily proved able to read a message in biro taped to the door of the gents. The guys had to share the one for the dolls. I'll be back. :-) Pozdrav iz Irske

Asked for a Elderflower Juice, got a Domaci Iced Tea - went to get it changed, they said they don’t have elderflower juice anymore and offered to change it with freshly squeezed orange juice. Nice, right? Wrong. The juice comes from a bottle and it’s bitter as hell. Despite my utmost effort to not waste, this is as much as I could drink. We had a lot of fun with decent music but a slightly strange crowd - including quite a few people who didnt really seem like they wanted to be there... Person on the door tried to overcharge us (probably because we were clearly tourists) but brought the price down when we showed the exact change for what we thought it would be (30 each). Still a good night though #nozagrets

Worst place I've ever been for a party. Indecent waitresses and service, it's completely shameful the manners they have with clients... Me and my friends, and more other people, were not served because the waiters didn't have money for the change, and were rejected in a very bad manner, the waitress was the worst one I've ever met. I completely recommend not to go to this place if you want to avoid to have a decent Saturday night ruined.

We wanted to spend a nice evening at the Opera Club on New Year's Eve and therefore bought expensive tickets in advance. Had we not already been in possession of the tickets, we would have turned around directly at the entrance because of the crowd. At the cloakroom there was a long queue and the delivery was uncoordinated. In the entire club one could hardly move due to the many persons. The whole staff was unfriendly and the barkeepers preferred to dance with each other instead of bringing drinks. At the end it followed from the disordered wardrobe that the wrong jacket was brought to me. After a lively discussion another employee looked for my jacket and found it - luckily for her. The only positive thing was the buffet.

DJs are just pressing play. Good looking girls, but not fully relaxed atmosphere. No real rap/hip-hop music It's always crowded though Tables in the middle of the dancefloor, which sucks. Atmosphere could be more relaxed. They should bring real DJs, and have real hip-hop nights
MINO — Google review
They allow more people in than club has capacity every time, after 1:30 its overcrowded and you cannot move let alone dance. And they charge 30 kn for that.

Hotpot is a popular gathering spot for the LGBTQ+ community in Zagreb, located in the basement of a discreet building on Petrinjska. The entrance fee is 20kn and drinks are reasonably priced with special deals on cocktails. The club plays Latino, trash, pop, and house music until the early morning and has been a sponsor of the Queer Zagreb festival. Visitors have praised its friendly atmosphere, great music, and polite staff.
Husband and I were in Zagreb for the weekend and we came to Hotpot as we heard it was the only LGBTQ+ venue in the city. The place didn’t get going until about 12:30 AM, so don’t come too early like we did! Friendly place and lots of great music (think 2010’s club hits and local Croatian bops). Only thing is that my partner and I don’t smoke and the venue has lots of people smoking. It didn’t bother us too much and it’s just how things go here, but flagging in case it does bother others!

Practically the only LGBT+ venue in the city, this place plays an important role in offering visibility and a sense of community — which deserves recognition. However, the crowd was quite small, even on the very day of the Pride Parade. I expected a more vibrant and energetic atmosphere, but it was rather quiet and low-key. Still, it remains a safe and necessary space that keeps representation alive in the area. Valuable for its purpose, but with room to offer more on symbolic dates.
Daniel A — Google review
A really fun venue. Shame it doesn’t open earlier! It doesn’t get busy until after midnight. Worth the wait though, great music, reasonable priced drinks and fun!
Tommy N — Google review
Not too much people when i was there, bit much of croatian music, but the worst is that people can smoke inside so i have to wash all of my clothes including what was in the cloakroom too :(
I N — Google review
Just another dive bar like many others around the world. The €5 entrance fee doesn’t offer anything special. Since smoking is allowed inside, the place smells terrible—I couldn’t stand it and ended up leaving my beer unfinished. Is this really what we deserve as the lgbti+ community?
Ismail A — Google review
Mostly old, beardy guys and philipinos here. Not very amusing music, also a very small space for dance. Not very busy even in weekends. Not recommended. Enrty is € 5 and no free drink. € 1 for wardrobe.
Arash D — Google review
For any tourists that wanna visit, im a Croatian with the tea, terrible bar, look for a lgbtq+ friendly event in any other place in the city, the Menu has items they sometimes wont serve you (cocktails), the djs are lame and the music unoriginal. And both people here that are guests and the people that work here are very rude and you typically wont have a good time unless you like older gentlemen, since most of the visitors are older gay men, for the ignorant owner waiting to respond with a rude remark, get a life or maybe improve your dying club before everyone abandons it for good.
Wonder M — Google review
Small club Lots of cigarette smoke, no smoking area, difficult for non-smokers, no dark room, no corner for solitude
