Wintzell's Oyster House is a renowned seafood restaurant that has been a staple in Mobile, Alabama since 1938. Originally starting as a small oyster bar, it has now grown into an informal chain eatery known for serving fresh Gulf Coast seafood, including their famous oysters prepared fried, stewed, or nude. The restaurant has received accolades for its oysters and crab, recognized as the best in various publications.
We enjoyed a great meal. The bienville oysters were delicious. The gumbo had a nice little kick to it and a great consistency. The strawberry shortcake included ice cream on top which was very tasty. We had excellent service and great tasting food. The fried green tomatoes were also very good, including what they called gravy which was a seafood sauce that you could put on the tomatoes which made them even more delicious. Besides being great food the atmosphere is fun because the walls are covered with short, funny jokes everywhere you look. It's non-stop fun reading all of the jokes on the walls!
Kirk S — Google review
I was extremely excited for this as I had heard so much about the quality of food and the overall experience. Maybe my expectations were too high. The service was great and the food was good not great. The restaurant has character and could be a little cleaner. Parking was easy as it was right across the street but it was a Sunday night and if really busy downtown parking could be a challenge.
Jason M — Google review
My husband and I tried Wintzells Oyster House recently and both liked it. We ordered the oyster sampler and the shrimp sampler. He loved his oysters. My shrimp sampler was pretty good but most of them were overcooked. Service was great and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Parking wasn't bad since they have a dedicated parking lot across the street. Bring a jacket because they keep the restaurant cold!
Amanda K — Google review
Tried it based on reviews and liked it. We had grilled oysters and the broiled platter. Oysters were small ( reportedly because of this time of year which we can live with but they were slightly overcooked and one oyster was only bread which they offered to fix but we declined as we were getting ready to leave. We really enjoyed the meal and almost perfect. Yes we would try it again.
Mark M — Google review
The chargrilled oysters are a must when eating here! I also recommend the red snapper, hands down one of the best fish I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!
Brittany P — Google review
We came in during day busy time of the evening. So we sad at the bar waiting for a seat . Cavarius, the cook , noticed we were sitting there and asked if he could do anything to serve us. So he took care of our air if you need and we were able to order an entree as well as a food meal and had a wonderful time sitting there enjoying his service! Awesome place can't wait to come back!

A perfect lunch spot while traveling! We enjoyed everything from the yummy food to the fun atmosphere to the top tier service. Kasondra was a delight, and she didn’t miss a beat. She’s the best restaurant server we’ve had recently. Wintzell’s has been around for a while, and we understand why!

The USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. This park is home to the iconic USS Alabama, a WWII-era battleship that played a crucial role in the war and earned the nickname "Heroine of the Pacific." Visitors can explore this historic vessel on a self-guided tour and also check out the USS Drum, the oldest U.S. submarine on public display. The park also features an Aircraft Pavilion showcasing over 28 historic planes from various wars.
This was a great place to come and visit. It was a beautiful day. Got very warm on the decks of the Battleship, but they had places that you could get cool. Museum was very informative and had things from all service branches. The Submarine was very cool. I don't like tight and small spaces, but I was able to handle it. Gift shop was nice. Had a lot of different things for everyone. The burgers at the restaurant was delicious! Would highly recommend this place for families.
Cindy S — Google review
Amazing experience! Both the Sub and Battle Ship are worth stopping to see. The self guided tour is easy to follow and takes you on every part of the ship. The museum did a great job explaining the spaces and having enough room for multiple people to be in the same room. We went in mid September and it wasn’t too crowded. +100 points for free active military admission.
Tomas R — Google review
We stopped by this memorial and museum in hopes of killing an hour or so before a flight, and we were pleasantly surprised with how interesting everything was. When we visited, we were able to go into the decommissioned sub as well as go into the battleship. The restorations are beautiful, and you quite literally are able to see almost everything in the battleship in submarine. It was worth the price, but if you’re wanting to learn a lot of history about World War II, you may be disappointed. However, if you want to see military vehicles up close, you will not be disappointed. It was definitely a unique spot and worth a visit if you were in the area.
Stan C — Google review
This is definitely a must stop to visit!!! I'm always so touched anytime I visit military museums and this one was wonderfully set up... from the Korean War Memorial do the museum in the battleship ... you could spend hours here just learning about our military history!! It was a weekday so it wasn't that crowded and there was plenty of parking available. There's a wonderful little gift shop inside and a cafe!
L S — Google review
This was one of the most interesting trips I’ve taken my sons on. From the depths of the ocean to way above the clouds, we explored every inch and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. You will be amazed at all the different things they have to look at. We will be back.
Latara M — Google review
$15 admission plus an additional $5 to park gets you lot to see and experience via sea surface warfare, aviation and underwater warfare with tours of the USS Alabama, a WW2 battleship, the USS Drum (submarine) and various aircraft and vehicles inside and outside an air-conditioned hanger, a great place for kids (supervised) and adults alike, expect to spend 3 to 4 hours minimum to look around, time well spent with a gift shop and cafe on premises to cap your visit. Highly recommended!
AJ M — Google review
Interesting visit exploring the ship and the submarine. You can explore so many parts throughout both taking stairs up and down throughout the decks. There is some air conditioning on the inside making it more comfortable on hot days. I’d suggest going during the fall or spring. Also several planes were on display in the hangar. Even avoiding much of the interiors (not a fan of tight spaces) there was plenty in the open air to see. The staff was super inviting! Be prepared to spend $100 for a family of 4 for tickets and a few extras.
Sheri C — Google review
The ship was a sight to see and walk. I'd never experienced anything like it before in my life. I got an appreciation for how life could have been on such a vessel. I'd recommend this to anyone. Only wish we had been able to see the bridge up close and personal, but sadly this was not open to the public. Bring your walking and climbing legs.

Museums
The History Museum of Mobile is housed in a 19th-century Italianate city hall and marketplace, originally built in 1855. It boasts over 117,000 artifacts from the city and surrounding region, offering insights into Mobile's history from its Indigenous beginnings through periods of slavery and civil rights. The museum features permanent exhibits such as an original Confederate ship cannon, a gallery showcasing Southern luxury items, and detailed miniature houses.
Lovely building, awesome exhibits and very interesting stories. Loved the carriages, the canoe, the Mardi Gras displays, the history of industry in Mobile, and the more modern additions! The building itself is historic and still holds city meetings to be considered one of the oldest city halls still in operation. The statues and the photos of Mobile show the early times of Mobile and its development, and even showcases some remnants from prehistoric time that have been found nearby.
Victoria K — Google review
We have come to this museum several times now for photoshoots and love it! The checkered floor to the staircase are stunning. Staff is also super sweet and great with communication. If you're wanting photos done and want a different vibe, highly recommend coming here!
Madysin G — Google review
This is now one of my favorite museums and I would love to go back to visit soon. I was in town nearby for work and a solo vacation. I visited on a weekday at non-peak hours, so it was quiet which made for an enjoyable exploration. I learned quite about about Mobile and had no idea of its history or significance regarding the formation of the country. I was so pleasantly surprised to see an area dedicated to the Clotilda ship because it led to Africatown in Mobile. I think that section needs to be expanded into a larger exhibit for guests to learn more about its significance. I appreciate that some exhibits are interactive and engaging to help visitors connect with the history. The sound effects and music were a nice touch to transport you back in time for the horse carriage exhibit. I wish the gift shop were bigger with a larger selection, given the museum's size and it being connected to the welcome center. I'd love to support by purchasing merchandise unique to the area and reflective of a guest's experience of touring the museum. The exterior of the museum has a striking design and it's connected to the Mobile Welcome Center, which is perfect for those visiting or new the the city. You can go right next door and learn about the city's history. It's also the meetup for a trolley tour of the city. Unfortunately, on the day I visited, the museum was closing 30 minutes early in preparation for a law enforcement parade happening downtown. So I missed seeing some exhibits. I realize, I need a full day to enjoy this two-level museum because I spent an hour on just half of one floor immersed in the exhibits. I recommend about 3-4 hours to fully explore all the exhibits. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this museum. I'm glad I got to explore some of it during my trip. Learn something new and see Mobile in a new light.
Jazmin H — Google review
We bought a 1 day Mobile multiattraction pass and went here with plans to see just the fort. The museum was excellent. I wish we had planned more time here. The fort is included in the ticket. The museum is very well arranged. Easy to understand complex historical perspectives. The ship building area was very, very well done.
Nicole B — Google review
This museum was pretty cool. My 4 boys enjoyed their time there. They have a discovery room on the second floor. Our admission was free because we are military. They also offer free admission to people with EBT benefits.
Kelley G — Google review
Lots of interesting things to see here. The miniature houses were amazing. Also the history of mobile from early settlements through the fights between the British, Spanish, French, and Indians for the territory was interesting. They even threw in some Mardi Gras!
Harold R — Google review
We visited this museum on a rainy Sunday. It was a pleasurable visit, and we learned quite a bit about Mobile's history, including its role as the first permanent settlement on the Gulf Coast, and the first to celebrate Mardi Gras.

Irish pub
Callaghan's Irish Social Club, located at 916 Charleston Street in downtown Mobile's Oakleigh Garden Historic District, has been a beloved neighborhood pub since 1947. This casual spot offers a full bar and serves up burgers, sandwiches, and brunch. The cozy one-room space features live Irish folk music performances and a dog-friendly patio for pet owners to enjoy. With its festive holiday decor year-round, Callaghan's is known for its cold brews and burger fare.
We were passing through Mobile looking for a place where we could bring our dog. Callaghan's has outdoor seating and they welcome dogs. My wife and I had burgers which they are known for and the burgers were very good. The neighborhood is beautiful and we enjoyed a walk around after our meal. The bar inside is very cool. This place is definitely worth the trip and I highly recommend it.
James M — Google review
Just when we thought we’d had every kind of burger out there, this place completely raised the bar. Hands down, the best burger we’ve ever eaten, juicy, perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and packed with flavor in every bite. The bun held together beautifully, the toppings were fresh and balanced, and the whole thing was the kind of meal you don’t want to end. The service was friendly and everything came out hot and fast. Honestly, if you’re a burger lover, you need to try this spot it’s a game changer. We’ll definitely be back.

Saw a fantastic concert Thursday night. Billy Allen, and the pollies. Great show. But very limited seating. I have an ankle issue and it’s difficult to stand for several hours so I wound up having to leave early. They do not have any accommodations for people with disabilities so you need to bring your own wheelchair are seated cane or walker. Great neighborhood atmosphere They did have some seating outside, but no outside sound system
Jon T — Google review
Came here for my boss birthday. Great service and great food. Great atmosphere.
B W — Google review
I've been hearing about this place for years, especially about the burgers. I went when they were having the Halfway to Joe Cain Day event. I had no idea how small the inside is. They had a live band so there was no seating on the main floor and the room up the stairs was booked for a party. The outside tables were already claimed so we ended up getting two burgers to go. The staff was friendly and offered to refund the cover charge since we decided to leave. The burger was good when I got home.
Shane S — Google review
Had the homemade French onion dip and chips for an appetizer-totally delicious and perfect for warm weather! Hubby had issues with the texture so he chowed down on the homemade potato chips. Hubby and I both had the bacon cheeseburger (which was delicious) but I want to go back for the LA burger! Pet friendly on the porch, so my dog Keira loved that part!
BOAT T — Google review
Great burgers and good draft beer options. They had a live band that was really good. Plenty of tv monitors. with live sports. The appetizers were a little weak. We had fish dip and onion dip. The appetizer selections could use some improvement. Prices were fair.
William C — Google review
Tried this place our first night in Mobile. Fantastic burgers and good service even with a completely full restuarant on a Wednesday night. Second time it was a lot less busy and the burgers were again fantastic. The Irish Dip is my next favorite behind the burgers.

Beautiful place! So charming and peaceful. The food (specifically the spinach and feta dip) is delicious! Be prepared to spend a good chunch for smaller portions, but they are so helpful and holding a brunch there was easy as they allowed decorating and reserving!

Spinach/Artichoke/feta dip was amazing as well as the cup of soup of the day which was potato, connecuh with kale. I was expecting a creamy soup but was delightfully surprised it was more "brothy" and delicious! I also highly recommend the portobello mushroom sandwich.

This is a very cute place to eat. Good portion sizes and the taste was well balanced. Be prepared for no ice and bottled drinks as they don't have any other choices. This doesn't detract from the experience. Good place for a ambitious person.

Our team at work went to The Haberdasher for drinks and some food. I had never been to The Haberdasher but I’ve heard it was good. Since I’m not much drinker I was there solely for the food. Our team a bunch of appetizers and I tried to try them all. There also was first thing that I tried was the French fries. I enjoyed them. They came with a mayo sauce. Not a big mayo on fries fan but it worked. I then tried the Brussels sprouts. Not sure what they were seasoned with but they tasted pretty good. Next was the chicken tenders. I dipped them in what seemed like a chili sauce. It had a lot of spice but it tasted good. The mahi mahi slider was next. It was my favorite appetizer. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce on the slider was very tasty. After that was the fish part of the fish and chips. I think the fish was cod. I was impressed by it. It wasn’t better than the mahi mahi but it was good. The last thing I tried were the avocado fries. I really like them. To be honest if I wasn’t full from the other food I would’ve eaten more of the avocado fries.

10/10 fav spot in Mobile. We drive over from Pensacola from time to time. Such great food and cocktails. I also love the set up I’m a big fan of counter service spots. Counter service with fine dining quality? Even better.

The Haberdasher is a renowned craft cocktail bar and gastropub located at 113 Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile, Alabama. Known for its speakeasy-inspired ambiance and exceptional drink offerings, it has become a staple in Mobile’s nightlife scene. Service is typically efficient, with patrons ordering drinks directly from the bar and food from a separate kitchen window. While this setup may be unconventional, it contributes to the bar’s unique charm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, often offering personalized drink recommendations.
Owen U — Google review
I stopped in yesterday (10/28/25) around 7:15PM and ordered the ribeye (medium rare). Whoever was behind that grill deserves a trophy, a raise, and possibly their own holiday. That steak wasn’t just good, it was life-altering. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had, not just in Mobile but anywhere. The temperature was spot on, the flavor was flawless, and I swear I considered calling the kitchen mid-bite just to personally thank whoever seasoned it. For my side, I swapped the fries for Brussels sprouts (a bold move that paid off big-time). They were roasted to perfection, beautifully seasoned, and might just make me a vegetable believer. All in all, that meal was so good I’m still thinking about it today (at 4AM). And the best part? I have leftovers. Let’s just say I’ve never looked forward to reheating something with this much excitement.

POST is a stylish bar that offers super-premium Absolut Elyx vodka in its signature drink, the MailMans Kid, as well as in fruity punch bowls like A Night of Passion and Blotto Vivacious. The bar's sleek design and crafted cocktails make it an enticing destination. In addition to drinks, POST also serves delicious food such as breakfast bagels, chicken and waffle pizzas, and blackened ahi tuna salad.
I take satisfaction in being someone that people can turn to for recommendations, particularly for the greatest quality food and drinks. For years, Post has been a favorite of mine. One of only two specialty cocktail establishments in downtown Mobile that offers amazing beverages. They are continuously hosting events and updating their seasonal menus to ensure that you get the most entertainment and satisfaction possible. When you enter through the door, their fabulous team members always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. Post is a must-see for everyone visiting or living in Downtown Mobile!

The bartender is an amazing mixologist. He makes delicious craft cocktails. The food, however, comes from a different restaurant, and we order a margarita pizza. It was horrible. But I'll definitely go back for the drinks@

POST is my favorite spot downtown for so many reasons! First & foremost, the staff are incredible! Everyone is so inviting, friendly, and knowledgeable — always open to offer suggestions when you aren’t sure what you want. Every cocktail is well-made — my favorites are the St. Francis, Double-Crossed, and Here Comes the Sun! It’s even better that their food is tasty too! The 504 POST Toast/pizza? *chef’s kiss* The Veggie Spring Rolls & Blackened Seared Tuna are my favorite shareables! Monday nights, they offer “Paint & Sip” and it’s fun to bring some friends, chill, and enjoy Happy Hour! The atmosphere is always perfect for a night out no matter what day of the week it is!

There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant and the server took 10 minutes to approach our table. The server also stood and talked with coworkers for quite some time right beside our bar drinks that were ready to be brought to our table. The servers are clearly more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving guests.

I’ve been to Post numerous times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere—especially since I live just down the street. But during my most recent visit, I had an experience that left me both angry and deeply hurt. Despite being a regular customer, I was denied entry without a valid explanation. The way it happened made it clear that the treatment I received was racially motivated. It was humiliating and painful, especially coming from a place that’s part of my own neighborhood. I’m sharing this because no one should be made to feel unwelcome or targeted based on their race. I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses the issue with proper accountability and staff training. I expected better from a business I’ve supported for so long.

We tried to come here once before and they were packed. This time we arrived early on a Friday, right after they opened. The bartenders were very friendly and we talked to them about the area while they made us some delicious cocktails. We would gladly come here again, but maybe not if they were super crowded, because I liked the laid back, not busy vibe. They have outdoor seating areas in the front and back, as well as a room off to the side that looked like you could spread out. So I could also see snagging one of those areas and hanging out with friends on a nice day.

Good place to have cocktails. Friendly staff and quick service. The food menu is limited and we found the dishes to have almost the same sauce and to be overly salty. Great place to visit in small or big groups.

Great place to have a nice talk and great cocktails after brunch! My pro tip for you is to get "Here Comes The Sun", a sweet grapefruit soda flavored cocktail, with Tequila which also makes it's alcohol level strong.

Cocktail specials are available daily, and the restaurant also offers an extensive menu of food items.
Hosted my engagement party here this past weekend in the back room, and everything was perfect! Max was very accommodating to our needs and Sarah was an excellent bartender. She was so sweet and kept the party flowing with drinks! Everyone had a great time. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

Sarah is the best bartender! We love this place!! Ice Box is amazing!! Great bar! My wife and I came for a couple drinks and dinner at The Velvet Pig. Sarah was the bartender and she was amazing. Great drinks. Cool vibe. Nice regulars. Can’t ask for much more in a watering hole.

Best new hip bar in town! Ping pong, darts, bumper pool, seven TV's (two outside), on parade route, power outlets at the bar to charge phone, free WiFi, food trucks, live music, great staff and great drinks! (Smoking outside on the patio)

Great bar and restaurant (order your food at the window, then order drinks at the bar, server brings your food while you sip your drink). Located in a former ice factory, The Ice Box Bar is a cool space with lots of cool vibes, super local art, good music, and did I mention the food? Everything is done so well.the menu changes frequently, but there’s always a standout burger, bar bites, salads and sandwiches. None of the food is straight off the restaurant supply truck. They care about what they serve. I had a specialty cocktail that had the proceeds going to a local charity. The draft beers are varied and well chosen, lots of variety. If you see catfish on the menu, get it. Wonderful and tender, with a tasty crisp crust. Even though you kind of serve yourself, it’s still a fun, mellow vibe here that is welcoming and delicious.

Stopped in here on a whim because they had the original Golden Tee machine—what a find! My three buddies and I had just ridden the inaugural train from Gulfport to Mobile, and let me tell you, this spot did not disappoint. The food was banging, the service was phenomenal, and our poor bartender Amanda—who just so happened to be on her first day—handled us like a pro. We definitely put her through it, but she absolutely crushed it. Between the great vibes, killer eats, and that old-school Golden Tee nostalgia, this was the perfect stop. We’ll definitely be back!

Good fun bar, a step up from the average dive bar, they have plenty of seating and spaces to hang out with friends, beer/drink prices are about the same as every other place in the area. Just a bit out of the down town area, but still close enough to everything.

I attended the restaurant for the first time for my birthday and a few weeks later I attended the Sunday Jazz Brunch. It offered great customer service, ambiance, views as well as good cocktails and food. I enjoyed the layout of the restaurant which separated lounging from dining.

We had a lunch reservation for 12:15 on a Friday. We walked in and no one was behind the hostess desk for a few minutes. As a result, I looked around me and noticed how the carpet needed vacuuming. Finally someone came out and was friendly and seated us. We had made a reservation but I thought the place was empty based ok how quiet it was so didn’t mention it. After being seated and noticing tables with better views I asked the server if we could have a better view since there were 4 2-person tables open. We got a better view and then waited for a while for a server to show up. I think they were understaffed because everyone was very personable but it was quite slow. No big deal as we were not in a rush. We finally got our drinks and food and bread. The bread was great with 2 types of butter. The food was good but not quite up to what I expected based on the reviews. I would say this is a great lunch place but I’m not sure I would want to spend the dinner prices there based on the food being more good than great. We enjoyed our lunch and will be back. PS love the $4 mini desserts for lunch. Great idea (see the pictures)

My husband surprised me for our anniversary w dinner at Dauphins. Amazing from start to finish! We had the seasonal pork belly starter, then he had the seasonal duck and I had the seasonal pecan crusted chicken. We both had a glass of great wine as well. For dessert we shared the crème brûlée and finished w their chocolate mint ganache served cold over dry ice.

My party and I were excited to visit after reviewing the menu online, particularly looking forward to trying the cheese plate appetizer. However, when we inquired about it, our server asked if we had tried it before. We told him it was our first time dining with y'all, and he advised us against ordering it, describing it as “not worth it” and “disappointing,” and instead attempted to steer us toward other options we weren’t interested in. Ultimately, we opted just to enjoy the complimentary bread served with that delicious hibiscus butter. Later in the evening, after we had already placed our entrée orders, our server returned with an assistant and showed us a cheese plate he was delivering to another table, presumably to demonstrate why he found it disappointing. To our surprise, it looked exactly as we had hoped and quite delicious to our eyes, but at that point, it was too late to order an appetizer, and we were genuinely disappointed to have been talked out of trying it ourselves. That said, I want to highlight that our entrées were outstanding, beautifully cooked and flavorful. Additionally, the woman working at the hostess stand graciously took photos of our group on the way out and made us feel warmly welcomed. Her thoughtful service was a lovely way to end the evening and left a positive impression. Thank you for taking the time to read this, as you did not respond to a private message. I offer this feedback with the hope it might be helpful for training and service consistency, as we’re looking forward to returning and trying the cheese plate next time.

It was established as the first Catholic parish on the Gulf Coast in 1703. The cathedral features beautifully designed stained glass, gold detailing, and a large pipe organ.
Beautiful church. Very big. Beautiful music. Love the gift shop here. Bought my bracelet here a few years ago. Wearing it while visiting here. The National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico, also known as GulfQuest, is a unique educational museum located in downtown Mobile, Alabama. It offers over 90 interactive exhibits that cover various aspects of the maritime heritage of the Gulf of Mexico. Visitors can engage in hands-on activities such as navigating ships, loading cargo, and experiencing simulations related to marine life and coastal environments. The museum also features theaters where guests can watch films on topics like WWII history and port navigation.
We were just starting to explore new and interesting places, and stopping into the National Maritime Museum was the perfect choice! This place was absolutely wonderful—spotlessly clean, filled with fascinating exhibits, and offering some really beautiful views. What truly made the experience stand out were the volunteers. They were so friendly and welcoming, taking the time to share insights and stories that made everything even more engaging. It’s totally worth the stop! We loved every second of our visit and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

My friend and I went on a weekday. It was the middle of the day on June day. There is a cover charge but it's not too bad. There are elevators and ramps for handicapped or people with difficulty climbing stairs. There are 4 floors with many displays and hands on exhibits. I'm 68 years and I enjoyed the museum very much. There is a lot to see for old and young alike. I may go back but probably on a day that's cooler. It got warmer as we went higher but it was still bearable on a hot summer day. If you are looking for a family oriented museum this would be the pace to go. Any complaints I have are minor. It is on the waterfront and hard to get to. There is a restaurant on the bottom floor that is little high on the prices. The admission prices for a family can be high depending on how many are with the family. There were a few exhibits not working or under construction

Great staff. Go above and beyond. Very cool and informative place. Could have stayed all day. Good for older kids and tweens. Lots of interactive kiosks. Great information on how our maritime systems work. Great information about E.O. WILSON and our eco systems. Plant and animals that inhabit Alabama. Very informative and educational. Very hands on and educational and FUN. elevator and lots of space. Children's play and rest area. Even have costumes so they can dress up. Staff willing to help. Very nice. Just a wonderful place. I love this place. Would go every day I could. Wonderful awesome place. Bathroom clean. All well kept. Bathroom is all done in nautical bath tiles. Adorable. We bought a two day multi pass battleship and this was included but both have a lot to see and we spent almost four hours at each and still didn't get to see it all. I love the multi pass saves some cash.

This is such a wonderful place to go. It has interactive activities for the kids. Beautiful views and the event I went to was very informative. I would love to see them bring something in on dinosaurs, sharks, or even the holocaust. There is a lot of space that could be utilized and make so much more fun. Just call ahead and make sure there are no field trips attending that day. That is the only thing that makes it hard for individuals to enjoy. It is a wonderful opportunity for the kiddos from school, and they need to see it, but individuals may have a harder time getting to see anything when the schools are there.

The museum offers tours for adults to explore its rich history under five different flags: French, English, Spanish, American and Confederate. Visitors can see authentic antique furnishings reflecting Mobile's diverse cultural heritage over the past 300 years.
The Condé-Charlotte Museum in Mobile, Alabama, is a hidden gem! Kathy and Kim provided an exclusive and personalized tour, catering to just the two of us. Their passion and knowledge for the history and artifacts were evident as they shared detailed stories and allowed close-up views of the antiques. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts and anyone seeking a unique cultural experience.

The Condé-Charlotte Museum is a beautiful home and collection of period pieces. The host are some of the most gracious folks you will find anywhere and they give a great tour. Fast food restaurant
Dew Drop Inn Restaurant, the oldest eatery in Mobile, is a beloved spot for locals seeking classic American fare in a nostalgic setting. The restaurant is renowned for its chili dogs and mammoth po-boys with crispy, cornmeal-battered oysters. In addition to burgers and hot dogs, the unassuming establishment offers an array of dishes including seafood, chicken, and sandwiches like fresh crab meat and fried shrimp served with fries.
A Mobile Classic, my grandparents used to go out on dates here back in the 50’s. Dew Drop just celebrated 100 years. Truly such a cute diner- the food has always been spectacular! I ordered the Double cheeseburger which comes with chili on it- so good! And I got a half order of onion rings and fries- because who doesn’t love a little bit of both?!? Their soup of the day was Shrimp and Corn soup and it was really good- the flavors were on point. The staff are always speedy and friendly. You’re able to get in and out pretty quickly- but note majority of the time they are pretty packed so you may have to wait for a table a time or two. Parking is kinda all over the place but overall it’s worth it !

Just a great vibe here. You can definitely feel the history. The hot dog is a must as that is what they are known for, but other menu items are solid as well. I will always get an order of onion rings. The hamburger reminds of school cafeteria, but in a good way. Service is friendly and prompt.

Historic old place with decor to prove it. Great service even tho busy, delicious food. Had cheeseburger they are famous for with chili. The chili is more like sloppy joe and an amazing addition! Best place to get your hot tongs. Especially an upside down dog of where the weenies on top, and all the Goody stuff is, underneath that way, it doesn't spill off the hot, tall, the when's are actually boiled in beer. Some of the best food that you can ever find located near mobile and firmly on old shell road.

We are completely regretful... For not going at Dew Drop Inn before today!! We own a place in Mobile for over 10 years and it's been over 5 years that we told ourselves that we should go... About the saying for Dew's hot dogs being the best: yep! Simply out of this world!! Fully loaded and tasteful. For the record, we were with 2 hungry teenagers (after a nearly 3 miles walk!) and they were full after one hot dog... Also, try the onion rings: clearly hand made with a great pepper zip. If you think A&W's onion rings are excellent, they will be #2 after you taste the ones at Dew's. Finally, the service: warm, welcoming, fast, smiling and doing the extra mile to make our visit a great experience! (We've had home made Gumbo soup samplers that were delicious). After a visit, you will understand why clients always come back at the Dew Drop Inn

Loved the DDI! I had read about this oldest restaurant in Mobile & have wanted to try it. We opted for the daily special, the hamburger steak with gravy. He had Mac&cheese & turnip greens, I had lima beans & mashed potatoes. All delish! We couldn't eat it all! We will be back - next time to try the famous hot dogs!
Lisa O — Google review
I have been wanting to visit this place because every time we pass by there is a nice little crowd. We finally got the chance to stop in. I will definitely be going back again. It had a nice atmosphere nothing fancy you felt good just casual and just taking it easy there. Of course we wanted to try the famous hot dogs. They we're good but the onion rings were absolutely delicious! I would be happy just to have a plate of those because they were DELICIOUSLY CRUNCHY! We will definitely be going back there.

It is open for dine-in. The employees were really great. They were so kind. Food is mediocre. If you like unique places to go, this is a good option, as it is the oldest restaurant in Mobile...as such, the interior is wearing down, but the employees did a great job of keeping things clean. I think it's worth going to one time, just for the history, but if I lived in the area, I wouldn't need to go back for the food.

**A Delightful Culinary Experience at Squid Ink Electric Eats** Nestled in the heart of Mobile, Alabama, Squid Ink Electric Eats is a gem that truly stands out. My recent visit to this quaint little restaurant was nothing short of exceptional, offering both a delightful atmosphere and a flavor-packed menu. I opted for the Power Salad Bowl with chicken, while my wife chose the Chicken Banh Bi Salad, expertly swapping the chicken for shrimp. Both dishes were simply phenomenal—each bite was an explosion of flavor, perfectly balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The Power Salad Bowl was refreshing and hearty, and the Banh Bi Salad had a unique and flavorful twist, with the shrimp adding an elevated touch. It's evident that the kitchen takes pride in their dishes, ensuring that every ingredient shines. The service was welcoming and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. After trying really hard to find a restaurant that wasn't a chain in Mobile, I came across this one. The food and view were amazing! It was literally the highlight of our trip to Mobile! The Spanish SOS was a great appetizer with plenty! I got the Damn the Torpedos drink, which was very very good. She said that normally they light the toothpick on fire, but just didn't have a lighter that night, which was fine. My entree was the tuna poke bao. It was perfect flavor and pretty light. My husband got the Cadillac burger Viva la France. It had a really good flavor. Overall, very impressed and would go back if I ever went to Mobile again, but probably won't.

Ordered a little bit of everything, all the food came out hot, staff were very friendly and helped with my selections. Inside was a lot bigger than it seemed from outside. Calamari was definitely a good choice, wasn’t overcooked and not too salty, really enjoyed the squid ink sauce. Banh mi was pretty tasty too, it did rip easily when trying to hold it but probably user error. The hot chicken sandwich!!! At first I thought it was greasy when I cut into BUT IT WAS THE JUICES FROM THE CHICKEN!! It was so freakin good!!! 11/10 would order again!!!

Two thumbs up! If you're driving through on i10 make sure to stop for a burger. Their burgers are delicious. They have some really good signature cocktails that include actual squid ink. Make sure to sit on the outside swing tables.
Brad M — Google review
Yikes. The best part of this restaurant are the swing tables outside, however while we ate our dinner, a drunk man came and sat at our table, bothering us. The food was blah and our server, although sweet, had not tried much of the food and had very little input. I didnt finish my meal because it was not great.
Lacy L — Google review
Solid vibe here. Amazing happy hour specials, solid (albeit small) beer selection, and a great, welcoming vibe. All I can really ask for. Mobtown chicken bites with Bleu cheese spread were out of this world.
Cam W — Google review
I think I’ve found my new favorite burger, Cadillac Burger with bacon and the spicy fries. John tasted mine but he had the classic burger, in his words “it’s good but yours was over the top”. The atmosphere was awesome, the swing seats out front were cute.

Barbecue restaurant
Takeout Restaurant
Meat Boss Cottage Hill is a cozy counter-serve spot in Alabama that offers a variety of BBQ meats with house-brand sauces and Southern sides. Known for their delicious barbecue sandwiches, the pulled pork (referred to as Boston butt) is a popular choice. Customers can customize their meals by choosing their meat, bread, sauce, toppings, and sides from a custom menu card. In addition to traditional BBQ options, they also serve breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays.
Found this place on google and so glad we decided to stop. We tried a little of everything. Beef brisket, chicken, ribs, sausage, wings, rib candy and baked beans. EVERYTHING was excellent. Leane told us the history of the place including the introduction of the French Fry to the place. If you are near the area- STOP. Meat boss will not disappoint. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Absolutely blown away by this barbecue spot! The ribs were phenomenal—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The chicken was just as impressive, cooked to perfection with incredible attention to detail. You can tell this is a family-owned restaurant by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the passion behind every plate. The environment is relaxed and inviting, and the people are simply amazing. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in. I cannot wait to come back—this place is a true gem!

The food is delicious. The sweet tea is wonderful. I see why the beans are world renowned. The pulled pork sandwich is impressive. The ribs are delicious also. I see why people rave about this place.

My wife and I met for lunch during rush hour. Staff handled crowd with ease. Love the atmosphere very welcoming. Service is fast and friendly, food is some of the best I've had in this part of USA. These folks KNOW BBQ!!! Recommend trying burger with sweet and spicy sauce. You get your money's worth! All in all this will be a favorite stopping point for my family. BRAVO, MEAT BOSS!!!!

The food here is worth the trip. We got brisket and ribs with a side of mac and cheese and fries. The ribs were amazing. Excellent smoke flavor, perfectly cooked, very juicy. Brisket was also delicious and incredibly moist. Sweet tea tasted like it was freshly brewed. We stopped at three BBQ spots in Alabama on pur trip and this was the best.

Meat Boss is a excellent bbq place in a state known for killer seafood! You don’t think, “Imma head on down to ‘Bama for some ‘Que!” So I have been bitterly disappointed by some of the bbq places native Alabamans have rated so highly. That’s not the case here. They serve chopped pork, brisket and ribs. The ordering is a bit complicated, but the food is as good a bbq as you’ll find anywhere. We ordered the ‘pulled’ pork and brisket, no bun, although you have several bread choices. You can get a little cup of slaw or potato salad, various very tasty bbq sauces, pickles, sour cream, killer jalapeño jelly, and a few other accoutrements none of which detract or mask the savory Smokey meat flavor. The meat is fatty enough to be really succulent without being oily/greasy. All the ‘Que sauces are delicious, but the Carolina and Spicy Carolina (neither mustard based) were the standouts. A word about their potato salad. If you’re used to restaurant-grade potato salad, and can live without it, wait till you try Meat Boss’ made-in-house version. Potatoes are cooked to perfection, then slathered with a mayo/sour cream dressing that’s both decadent and light, with just enough tang to keep your tastebuds clamoring for more. Reasonable prices, super helpful, friendly, and accommodating staff, this wonderful bbq purveyor is definitely on the “happily returning” list.

The Mobile Flea Market is a year-round attraction on the Gulf Coast, drawing in 700-800 vendors at a time. It's a great place for both locals and tourists to explore unique finds from all over the world. From furniture to fresh produce, there's something for everyone at this bargain hunter's dream. Visitors can expect an eclectic mix of items and enjoy some delicious food while they browse through the market.
Oh me on my…lots to see and buy!!! Need to get your steps in, love to treasure hunt, need a nice inexpensive gift…come here! Lots of little things, useful to the eye of the beholder. We bought new stylish tote bags, had hotdogs and corn dogs at the little food stand…we drive 1.5hrs just to see what’s new here! Stop for a quick run through or spend several hours…lots to see, great prices!!!

Great outdoor flea market that has eating areas that serve a variety of snacks and beverages. Fresh fruits and produce are sold. If you look around you will find alot of hidden gems and antiques - all the need is a little TLC to be resold. I usually visit once a week.

Got a few good deals before the heat got me. Wish Mobile had an indoor flea market. Went by the past few Sundays in a.m. Not as crowded and even though it was hot you could tolerate the heat. By the way the restrooms are air-conditioned and clean. Despite the heat at least 80% of the vendors turned out. You can find a bargain here if you take time to shop.
Ken T — Google review
Be careful bringing your kids here. Had a guy possibly a vendor riding around on a scooter with realistic artificial boobs on hanging out of the see through bra. With kids walking around.
John B — Google review
They now charge $1/ person, and the vendor selection might as well have been non existent, cause soooooo many booths were empty! ... SMH... Maybe b/c of the holiday weekend, but from what I remember they used to be packed!
J M — Google review
It’s really gone down with the number of vendors. A few are great and imo shouldn’t be there. Too many dirty vendors and too many people selling abused animals in there. Dogs clearly full of worms, one lady had 5-6 ducks crammed in a dog crate. Squished in there with no room between them and no water, no fan or any cooling. They were panting. I have NEVER seen a duck pant from heat. It turned my stomach to see so many animals in cruel conditions. If Mobile Flea Market is going to allow them to sell animals on their property in those conditions, I won’t be back. The very few good vendors aren’t worth it.
Ashley B — Google review
Cool "outdoor"shopping area full of all kinds of vendors. Video games, tools, sunglasses, chickens, puppies, birds, scented oils, hats, knives, toys, phone cases, etc. They've got looots of stuff. Costs a dollar per person to get in, but it's worth it just to see everything they've got.

Interesting and eclectic collection with thought provoking pieces. Some interesting social statements. Didn't agree with some, but they were well presented and showed the artists' intense feelings on the subject matter. And being of a libertarian bent, I appreciated the visual statement of the point of view. There is some nudity in the adult section; however it is not gratuitous. Those familiar the nudity with more classical art will be comfortable. Typical of contemporary art, there was a fair variety of media used. Got a chance to speak with the executive director. A very interesting woman. Admission is a donation in the amount you choose. Worth a side trip if you are downtown. And take a few minutes to enjoy the Moblobz mural on the building exterior. A fun and fanciful work.

Las Floriditas is a basement speakeasy that pays tribute to the birthplace of the daiquiri. Accessible by a secret password, this hidden gem offers signature cocktails and eclectic Cuban-inspired dishes. Named after Ernest Hemingway's favorite bar in Havana, it exudes refinement and mystery. The classy chill vibes, great music, and attentive service make for an unforgettable experience.
Fun place to go hang out and have a drink. This is a Cuban style speakeasy. Have the password and enter. Suggestion is if you want a table on a weekend, make a reservation. Limited seating at the bar and standing room only. Live music was great.
Melissa B — Google review
My group of friends decided to come to this establishment to celebrate one of the girls birthdays. It came at my suggestion as I’ve been to this bar several times and enjoyed it completely. The atmosphere is super cool and the speakeasy concept is one that I think is very unique for Mobile. My friends and I arrived around 10:30 (an hour and a half before they closed which was confirmed by our server) and received great service from our server (who only provided exceptional service and made the birthday girls experience great). Unfortunately, once we had a first round and had been talking amongst our tables, a drink was accidentally spilled. The group attempted to clean the spill as quickly and quietly as possible and had to ask three times for a towel to be brought to our table so we could clean it. Everyone in our group had only had one drink and it was very clearly an accident. We were very apologetic and thankful for the young lady that came to help us. After the spill was cleaned (still 30 minutes before close) the bartender motioned at our table and made an overt gesture to cut us off and no longer serve our table. The entire table was made up of those who work in the service industry and it was very disappointing to see employees of a nice and well respected establish treat us with blatant disrespect. It was very obvious that no one within our group was intoxicated and the result of a simple mistake was the cause of embarrassment for our group in front of the entire establishment from those working. I do not know that I will be returning to this establishment, which is very unfortunate as I have been several times and have recommended it to countless people. There is absolutely no reason guests should be subjected to public embarrassment given that the bartender is no longer interested in serving drinks within operating hours. Very disappointed and I hope staff with consider guest experience in the future as it’s obviously not a priority.

Overall a nice place. Staff are nice. The atmosphere is great. Food is a little off, but not bad. I liked the yucca and plantain chips, but I feel they might have come from a bag. I would go back.

One of our favorite places to eat a nice cuban meal. The Tapas Tres Pillars are delicious. Our go to entree is the Arroz con Pollo. We also love the cuban sandwich. The after dinner coffees are a must have. If you’re a chocolate lover then the Cuban coffee chocolate mousse desert is a great way to end the night.

First visit, stopped in for Happy Hour, sat at bar. Tried bean dip (OK) and Cuban sandwich (pretty good). Had Cuba Libres and wine, which was half off for Wednesday karaoke night. Our server Marlee was great. Fun vibe as speakeasy with converted bank vault. Definitely plan return visit!
Andrew R — Google review
I absolutely LOVED this place! The atmosphere, entry, staff, good, drinks, and music was AMAZING! The good and drinks are so flavorful and the staff is attentive, professional, and kind. We spent more time there than we usually do at a restaurant and we were never rushed. It would be great for them to add one more server/bartender for the 8p+ shift because service declined after the restaurant and bar were full. I will definitely be back. This is my new favorite place!
Virginia R — Google review
Drinks were excellent. I got the croquetas and I was not impressed. It seemed like there was more than ham and Swiss in them and that was a huge turn off for me. I wasn't able to even finish 1 of the 3. We made a reservation and were seated in the vault. That would have been fine if it had not been the Halloween party. We were there for the party but missed out on everything because we couldn't see or hear the DJ talk.

Nixon's Midtown is a newer addition to the restaurant scene in Midtown. It has become known for its sandwiches and sports-watching atmosphere. Located on Old Shell Rd., it is adjacent to The Dew Drop Inn. Visitors rave about the spinach dip and bread, as well as the Mid Town Dip, roast beef, dipping sauce, and green beans. The service is praised for being pleasant and accommodating, with staff going above and beyond to cater to dietary preferences.
Our entire experience was spot on from start to finish. The waitress/bartender was genuinely pleasant. She went over and beyond to find me some keto options to drink. I ordered the club/no bread and green beans as my side. My husband got the New Yorker with potato salad as his side. Everything was delicious!! The greens were a meal in itself. There was smoked meat throughout and seasoned perfectly. My club was also exceptional. The honey mustard made it even more tasty. They aren't afraid of piling the meat on, so bring your appetite. We will definitely be back soon!

It is the first time, and it won't be our last. My wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere here. From the old-world decor filled with history from the past, the pharmacy was really cool. The bartender, waitress, server, buster, host Elizabeth, were terrific! She handles all the interior floor jobs with an infectious smile. The Long Island with the splash of cola on the side was excellent! Because they don't serve tea. The bar drinks are worth every penny. My cheese steak sandwich wasn't what I expected. My wife's sandwich was delicious.

Historic drug store with mostly sandwich fare. Decent draft beer and wine selection. A bit loud and uncomfortable seating. Service could be improved. 2 bartenders tend the entire restaurant, so pack a patience pill. Overall, a good spot to enjoy as a local hangout.

Decent little spot with a good ambiance. Could do with a menu that suits dinner a little more but what they did was really good. Had a grown up grilled cheese which was really good. I also had a decent IPA and then a very poor beer which sadly I can’t remember the name of but if I’m the area it’s a good spot to have an evening at.

Spot of Tea, located in a circa-1836 building, offers five themed venues and a diverse menu ranging from American cafe fare to British high tea. The restaurant is situated in Cathedral Square, providing a beautiful setting for breakfast before embarking on the City of Mobile Trolley Tour to learn about the city's rich history and modern culture. Families can also explore Mobile's GulfQuest/National Maritime Museum in the afternoon.
I used to live in Mobile a little over 10 years ago. My friends and I used to patronize the Spot of Tea almost every weekend. Upon a recent trip to Mobile, I saw that the Spot of Tea was reopening the same day I came back into town! I HAD to visit and it did not disappoint! Since living in Mobile I have developed a gluten sensitivity and am now gluten free. This changes where I can eat and most importantly, what I can eat. The Spot of Tea owner, Tony Moore, overheard my questions about not having a gluten free menu. He inquired what I like to eat and directed his staff so that I had a wonderful meal. I had a bowl of grits topped with scrambled eggs and very well seasoned grilled chicken and a side of cheddar cheese. Yum!! After our meal, Tony inquired about our satisfaction especially my gluten free option. He told me that he would be looking into ways to accommodate diners who need or want to see gluten free options. It was so refreshing to have such an attentive experience from the owner! I can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, Tony and Spot of Tea staff. If felt like old times visiting again. It was the highlight of our trip.

My guest and I absolutely enjoyed the food at Spot of Tea. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by friendly waitresses and a gentleman, I think, was the manager. There is definitely ol school service, and I love that about the restaurant. The waitresses were very descriptive of the menu and honestly were also fun to talk to. Our waitress "Shea" ( I hope I got her name right) was top-notch. She checked our table so much I had to stop her from refilling my coffee. I say this with a huge smile because of how much I love great customer service. I had the Cajun Shrimp and Grits. My guest had The Eggs Cathedral. When I say both were delicious, lord hammercy, I ain't lying! The Egg Cathedral was a delicious English muffin, topped with a crab cake, scrambled eggs, topped with a seafood sauce with blackened Grouper, Crawfish, Jumbo Shrimp and hashbrowns You heard me right. It was delicious. My Cajon Shrimp and Grits were cheesy, loaded with savory sausage, and, of course, shrimp. The voodoo sauce and green peppers added the perfect touch. Don't walk, run, and get some of that tasty goodness I enjoyed. Oopsies, I forgot to say they have good coffee too.
Dee C — Google review
Atmosphere: The service was excellent, ignore all the 1 star reviews. They are more about the reviewers than the restaurant; our only complaint was that my wife and I had to wait over 15 minutes from getting our menus to being able to order. Service: But if you have some patience, it's well worth the wait. Of course if you come in with a group of 10 or 20 people, you're going to overwhelm their resources. Food: The toast was very buttery, which was unappetizing, but otherwise the food was excellent. Their new chicken and waffles were hot and delicious, and I liked the freedom of their Choose Your Own Breakfast option.

We are in town for some concerts at the Civic Center. We decided to take the short walk to this little restaurant for breakfast. It was an excellent breakfast, but a bit more than I could eat. You definitely get plenty to eat! The staff was very friendly, as we chatted with some of them. If you're in town, be sure to check them out. Come hungry and you'll leave full!
Thomas F — Google review
I wish I had more time to spend there, but in the short time I had, I enjoyed my experience. Beware though if you order over easy eggs. They may come out overcooked while the bacon in my opinion was undercooked. They corrected both without an issue. My son's BLT was perfection in his opinion and he appreciated the soup that came with it. Our server was helpful in explaining the menu and overall attentive.
Terry C — Google review
I honestly wasn't impressed with my plate, it wasn't seasoned, I honestly left 80% of my food on the plate, so maybe I should have ordered something else. However our waitress Cindy was the absolute best, she was a Sweetie, so that made our visit exceptional.
Heather W — Google review
A beautiful and unfussy American café with whiffs of French Louisianian vibes. The place can get packed, especially on the weekends, and can take a while to get a table, but it's worth it. Service is pretty good and homely (thank you Heather!) and the food is just as great. The Eggs Cathedral, in particular, are a huge portion of delicious food. Worth checking out at least once if you're in town!

With an elegant interior adorned with exposed brick walls and chic lighting, as well as a charming covered courtyard for outdoor dining, it provides the perfect setting for a fine meal. Additionally, the establishment is renowned for its eclectic cocktail selection.
First time dining here and we had a great experience. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. The steaks were delicious. Our waiter Connor was awesome. He was very attentive and extremely nice. We did get desserts to go. I had the cheesecake and my husband had the bread pudding - both were so good. This place was busy the entire time we were there, so make sure you make a reservation. It was a great choice for my husband’s birthday. We will definitely come back again.

If you love a scam, do not frequent this establishment. The team at TRS is honest, amazing and treats every guest as though they are the only guest. My wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary with the TRS family during a time of great duress. My wife’s brother was a patient at a local hospital. I completely flailed on providing a safe place for my lady in a time of great uncertainty. We decided to dine at The Royal Scam as it is directly across the street from our hotel. Upon arrival, we were graciously greeted by the maître d’ and promptly seated in a great location. Lidia and Brian were amazingly attentive to our needs. The chef and the kitchen team prepared an amazing meal for us. Due to my distraction, I did not prepare flowers, lest a card for my amazing wife. I approached the maître d’ about TRS’ main floral arrangement. I was directed to April who, without hesitation made preparations to transfer her arrangement to me for my wife. When in Mobile; you have been scammed to skip The Royal Scam. The service is legit and the food is properly prepared. Will be back. THANK YOU TRS FAMILY.

It started out promising, but my waiter let me run out of tea. For a fine dining (expensive) dinner this is unacceptable. The filet I ordered was over cooked, medium, but was served medium well. My server was polite, but letting a customer run out of tea or a beverage is unacceptable. As a general restaurant it was ok, but as a fine dining restaurant where you dress in nice clothes it’s not passable. Any fine dining restaurant would never allow a guest to run dry and start drinking their fellow diners drink. Also, the bar is adjacent to the tables and the bar tender was too boisterous.

Delicious food and great service. Erica was our waitress. She was friendly, polite and helpful the entire time of our dining experience. My Wife had the seafood gumbo appetizer. She said it was delicious. I had the crab cake appetizer. The crab cake itself was delicious but when I tasted it with the (lemon sriracha aioli) sauce, oh my goodness. I was expecting the normal sauce but it had a taste different than normal sauces and it goes perfectly with the crab cake. My wife had the steak. She said it was delicious. My redfish was delicious. The sauce enhanced the flavor of the redfish. The Brussels Sprouts were cooked perfectly. They were not overcooked and dry or undercooked and raw. They were just right. The rice was not cooked to mush or undercooked. It was cooked to perfection and the presentation was spectacular. When you go, make reservations in advance and ask for Erica as your server. She will ensure you have an enjoyable dining experience. If you like seafood, I highly recommend the Redfish entree and crab cake appetizer. Wonderful location for a date night or a special occasion with a relaxed atmosphere!

We had a beautiful dinner! We had the Hanoi shrimp as an appetizer. They even added an extra one to make it even, normally it comes with three. It was great! I recommend it, especially if you like japanese cusine. It has a spicy wasabi creme, a ginger sauce that was delicious! For main dinner, I had the hidden gem - the ribeye - it was perfectly done! Melt in your mouth perfection! Is not on the menu, so ask for the specials. He had the land and sea, and as well, it was also delicious. Filet mignon and crab cakes. I had the Georgia Belle cocktail. It was fruity and strong! Plus, I had a glass of red wine with the meal. We also shared the bread pudding. It was a bit too hot, but we saved it for a night cap later. Once cooled off, it was delicious! All an all, perfect! Our server was Britney, and she was great, ask for her.

BLUEGILL Restaurant is a rustic waterfront hangout located on the Mobile Bay Causeway, offering stunning sunset views and live music entertainment. This casual dining spot has been serving fresh Gulf and bay seafood since 1958, alongside an eclectic array of musical genres from Southern rock to 1940s big band and swing music.
There is no other place better than blue gill in the mobile Alabama area. Starting off walking into the bluegill restaurant the atmosphere was so amazingly unique. Then the food was really good and filling for a good price. But finally what made our night was meeting Shelly at the oyster grill near the entrance. I highly recommend the bluegills restaurant but don't forget to meet Shelly!

We had a great experience here the service was above and beyond, The wait staff was super friendly.. 😊 I had 🐟 Black& Maui Maui 🐟 hush puppies and fries. My wife had shrimp 🍤, hush puppies and fries 🍟. Both were good. Also don't forget about the key 🗝️ lime 🍋‍🟩 pie 🥧 for dessert. Check out when they have live music 🎶 🎵 here. Outside sitting overlooks the back waters of Mobile Bay. Enjoy meal.. )-(

We had a great visit today! Megan and Kendall took great care of us. The view was awesome, and the vibe was perfect. My fiance and I split a platter, and we were both full by the end. There's also a nice place to sit that overlooks the water.

We had a party of 8 for the outdoor seating. We paid the extra $5 each to enjoy the live musicians. The music was fantastic! There were 3 dudes playing acoustic and they sounded like Pearl Jam. Why are these guys in a little restaurant and not playing sold out venues? Idk. Anyway! The service was good. Negatives, I apologize for being negative Nancy. For starters, we had to request to get actual silverware that was not plastic. I don't even mean the durable plastic kind, either. It was the REALLY flimsy kind. We ordered the appetizer Peel and eat shrimp which had a terrible consistency. The shrimp was mushy. We didn't know if it was old or overcooked. He ordered the blackened shrimp. Same problem. I ordered the special with a fish upgrade to red snapper(?) With a crabcake and shrimp. This jacked the price quite a bit. It was the same with the shrimp and the fish and everything else was so salty, it made me feel totally sick. I took about 5 bites and couldn't eat any more. Him and I dropped 129 bucks just for us, yet, I couldn't eat it. I felt really bad. I could not even eat the leftovers because, it was just too much salt. We had others who, later on said they had the same problem with it being way too salty- and not eating their leftovers either. The environment was cozy. It doesn't look high dollar, but it was like visiting old friends sort of feel. A little overpriced imo. The gratuity was quietly added because of the size of our party but, that is standard practice in my experience. Just making sure to warn others in larger parties since it was not obvious if you weren't looking for it.

First of all I will just say its a beautiful scenery and the staff was very pleasant. I decided to sit outside at the bar for lunch. It was very busy. My first thought was there is only one bar tender struggling to keep up. He did very u well and was very polite and attentive. I ordered a half n half basket with the fried oysters and fried shrimp with fries. When my food came out I l9oked at the plate and there were 5 fried little pieces of oyster and 4 very small shrimp with a basket of fried. I feel like 16 dollars should have definitely given more food. It was disappointing. The oysters tastes pretty good however the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Fries were fine however thats not what I came for.

So know that this review will be coming from a native New Orleanian before reading so that you have some context. Now with that out of the way...GOOD GOD FLAMING OYSTERS!!! They combined the succulent flavor profile of Chargrilled Oysters with the smoky goodness of a good barbecue. In short, the best oysters I've ever tasted! Our server, Hunter, was kind and attentive in spite of dealing with some unexpected restaurant issues that he made sure we as his customers didn't even feel. Next i got the Bluegill platter... with Redfish! My favorite fish fried delicately, seasoned perfectly and presented before me was a true highlight of the meal. If you're in the area, come for the fantastic oysters, shrimp and fish and return for excellent service and an inviting atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

We visited this place on a Sunday. We had a party of 19 (including kids). We had to wait for about 1.5 hours for a table because they dont take reservations after 2pm. The manager was able to get seated after about an hour. There was a large party that showed up right before us. The food was good. We ordered a variety of things. The service was kind of slow, but the waitress was nice and kept our drinks refilled until our food arrived. We waited for a while to receive the check. This was also their concert season, so the band was playing outside.

Colonial Fort Condé, originally constructed in 1723, has been reconstructed to showcase historic artifacts and exhibits. The Conde-Charlotte Museum, Mobile's first courthouse and jail turned house museum, offers a tour featuring period furnishings, antiques, and artifacts reflecting the city's diverse history under French, English, Spanish, Confederate, and American control. The museum displays various rooms representing different historical periods.
My wife and I had a wonderful time visiting the fort on Saturday November 16th 2024. There happen to be re-enactment in progress concerning the Revolutionary period. The staff and actors were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit to the fort. Buy a all in one pass if you are in the area for more than one day.

So cute. They even had actors in different rooms. We popped over after visiting the Mobile History Museum. It was free admission after the visit to the History Museum. They also offer free admissions to Military & EBT holders. We got free admission because my husband is Coast Guard.

Fort Conde in Mobile is a historic and cultural landmark that offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the city’s colonial past. Located in the heart of downtown, this reconstructed 18th-century French fort provides both educational and immersive experiences for history enthusiasts, families, and tourists alike. The site is compact but thoughtfully designed, with informative displays, period architecture, and interpretive panels that detail Mobile’s early history, military life, and French colonial influence.

I would personally not pay for this because this is not the original fort. But the first Sunday of every month it is free to visit so take advantage of that. I love historic forts because of the actual bricks and mortar used. I like to touch historic forts and imagine what the soldiers experienced but the original one was destroyed here. A few bricks at the park next door are still there.

Love visiting Fort Conde. It's fun walking along the rampart and seeing the history showcasing what life was like living in the fort. They also have different events throughout the year showing what life was like during the colonial era!

Butch Cassidy's Cafe is a popular spot in Midtown Mobile, known for its delicious burgers and wings. The cafe has been a favorite for almost 30 years and offers a variety of menu selections, including the famous Butch Burger, Jessie James Burger, seafood plates, and kid-friendly options like grilled cheese and chicken tenders. The compact space provides a low-key hangout with happy-hour specials and a cool atmosphere adorned with pictures of its namesake.
It has a kind of a hole in the wall type of feel that makes it standout. The staff was super friendly to boot. It was fairly crowded when we got there but we were seated and had our drinks in no time. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and some fried pickles as starters, the pickles were especially good. I ordered the famous "Butch burger" and it was everything I was hoping for!! You definitely cannot go wrong with it, but come hungry because it's a hefty burger!

As a local that has been coming to Butch Cassidy’s most of my life I can honestly say the service just keeps getting worse. I always try to give it another chance but this was the last until they can get servers and cooks who want to work. We were actually headed to dew drop but saw that Butch Cassidy’s wasn’t packed so we stopped. We waited just on drinks for 30 minutes then were told they were out of glasses so it would be a minute. I finally asked for to go cups just to have a drink, My coke had hair in it and I was disgusted but asked for another drink and stayed. We order then it took an 1.5 hours to receive our food. Just as we were getting up to walk out the waitress said our food was coming out. All our food was cold and my daughter’s fries and chicken were so hard she couldn’t eat them. We weee there a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. I hate giving bad reviews for mom and pop restaurants but this place needs a serious reboot and get back to the way it was. I’m giving a 3 star because I know it’s potential. But, todays service was definitely a one star.

This says this in there about. Low-key hangout known for its namesake burger, plus nachos & happy-hour specials in a compact space. So I told my wife we are going to try this place. Who doesn't love a great burger. So we both ordered burgers. We told our server no pink in our burgers. Well when we received our food it looked pretty good. I loved the onion rings. I took a bite of my burger and it was really pink. I looked over at my wife's burger and hers looked raw. I asked the server if this was safe to eat. She said oh. She really didn't want me to send it back. There burgers aren't frozen. She was acting strange. She said she wouldn't charge for one of my wife's drink. My wife took one bite of her burger and that was it. She said she couldn't eat it. She felt sick to her stomach for 2 days. The place is really showing its age which is ok. It's been around for a long time. They could clean a little better, but I'm really not going to complain about that. Our server was ok. She seemed to be all over the place like over whelmed.

Great burgers 🍔. Staff was very friendly. Food came out really quick, even the server was surprised at the speed of the order. Everything we ordered came out piping hot and tasty. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and the order was cooked perfectly. I had the Butch burger medium and I got it medium, nice job. Very tasty burger with great fries. The wife ordered the prairie burger and she said the fried tomato on top made the burger really good. Glad we found this place, we will return.
John O — Google review
My Aunt had talked up Butch Cassidy's and said they had the best taco salad ever but she only ever ordered that. So for my first time eating here, we decided to try the tues special hamburger steak as a to-go order with a side of fried green tomatoes. The good: The green tomatoes are a little thin but seasoned and tasty. The cornbread is the star. I don't normally eat my whole cornbread but I inhaled this one and wished for more. The not so good: The hamburger steak was dry and not very flavorful, which would've been ok if the gravy made up for it. I can't tell if the gravy was good though, because there wasn't enough there to get a decent taste. The greens were so unbearably salty that I couldn't eat it. I can handle eating food that is a bit too salty but these greens were basically a veggie flavored salt lick. My aunts order looked and tasted the same. It could be that they were having an off night or running out of gravy for the special, but if so, I would've rather been informed about that so I could choose something else. If this is their usual portion of gravy, I will choose somewhere else. I'm fairly sure the greens were a one off or no one would order them. I'm going to give them another try and I'm sure I will be able to ammend my review to a better score.

I got the mushroom and Swiss burger and it was very tasty probably one of the best ones I've ever had. If I'm ever traveling down this way again I'll think of this place as somewhere to definitely go to. Everything was cooked to perfection and served nice and hot. Staff seems to be having fun and very friendly. They sat me in a comfortable booth. Long story short nice place!

Ruth's Chris Steak House is an upscale chain known for its sizzling, butter-topped beef served in an elegant setting. The Mobile location stands out with a special cocktail-milkshake mashup called the Chrissy and a romantic atmosphere created by dim lighting and candles. Guests rave about the delicious ribeye, sweet potato casserole, creamed spinach, and homemade Thousand Island dressing. The attentive management ensures impeccable service, making it a great choice for special occasions.
Went for my wife's birthday. Have a wonderful experience. Ben was an incredible server, and made our night a little more easy and pleasant. The tomahawk was amazing. The dinnerware was nice and clean, the queens room is excellent for parties. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Everyone was very welcoming as we were shown to our seat. Seemed like it was going to be very nice. Until our main server seemed to be perturbed by us ordering tea and water from him and not one of, “the children” that would be by with that. He turned away from us in a pretentious manner to prepare our drinks. But instead sent one of his subordinates and kind of just disappeared for a while. Mind you it was not busy at all. We should have sent back everything but the shrimp, mushrooms and the deserts. But we were there for a special occasion and didn’t want to make it any more uncomfortable than it was going. You really can’t mess up Frites. Two gristle filled, tough filets and a mediocre ribeye at best. The potatoes au gratin were super hot and melty on the outside, but cold to room temp. on the inside. Ruth and Chris would have been sorely disappointed in the food quality and arrogance of our main server. What a shame.

The service, food, and atmosphere was fantastic, but my concern is the dress code. I was there Friday night and 2 couples walked in prior to us with shorts and tennis shoes. I was told by the hostess that as long as it has a Heim it's okay, while my wife and I were dressed to the nine. So is it that Ruth Chris now has a dress code similar to Waffle house (no disrespect)? It was a little disappointing to say the least.
PAUL P — Google review
It's hard to go wrong with Ruth's Chris. The food is exceptional, the staff is present without being intrusive, the atmosphere is elegant. It has become one of my favorite restaurants, I like how they ask if it's a special occasion when you enter. Whether date night, anniversary, business dinner, birthday, just dinner, they treat you like royalty.

The Ribeye, medium well, was delicious, served nice and hot, hot! The sweet potato casserole was very good. I always love the creamed spinach. And my salad with homemade Thousand Island dressing was fresh and delicious. Fresh French Bread. Awesome bread pudding. The management is always very attentive to their customers. Service impeccable. This was my birthday meal this evening, and it was delicious! I was served cheesecake with fresh fruit with a sparkler on top. I have eaten at this Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Mobile, Al., for 34 years, and I am never disappointed. There are very few upscale dining opportunities in Mobile, Al. In my opinion, Mobile Ruth's Chris is the best in Mobile, Al., for special occasions -- anniversary, birthday, graduation, engagement, you can't go wrong here.
Deanna C — Google review
The biggest disappointment with my recent experience at your location today, July 26th, around 5 PM at the back bar. As someone who travels extensively around the world and has dined at several Ruth’s Chris locations, I had higher expectations—especially when bringing out-of-town guests for what was meant to be a polished and enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below the standard your brand is known for. • The shrimp I was served were raw, which is not only unappetizing but a serious food safety concern. • The new bartender (a young man) made two drink mistakes, both of which had to be completely remade by a female staff member. • The overall service lacked the professionalism and attentiveness I expect from Ruth’s Chris, especially at that hour when the bar was not yet at full capacity. To say I was embarrassed in front of my guests is an understatement. I chose Ruth’s Chris to showcase a top-tier dining experience, and instead, I found myself apologizing to my company for the poor quality and lack of execution. I sincerely hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used as an opportunity for improvement. This was, unfortunately, the worst experience I’ve had at any Ruth’s Chris globally.

First time at Ruth’s Chris (anywhere), and what a great treat it truly was. Our waiter Greggory was beyond impressive. Amazing recommendations with a wonderful personality. Roosters is a vibrant addition to the dining scene on Dauphin Street in Mobile, offering a casual atmosphere with picnic tables and a menu filled with Latin American delights. The restaurant is known for its delectable tacos and burritos, as well as refreshing margaritas. Whether you're in the mood for Al Pastor tacos with Pineapple and Mango/Habanero Salsa or Caribbean jerk chicken, Roosters has something to satisfy your cravings.
Saw Roosters on all kinds of dining lists for Mobile, so had to try it out. We were not disappointed! Went for dinner around 5 on a Saturday night and it was half full, no problem finding a table. Couple tables outside on a small patio, too. Staff were friendly, and food was ready in good time. Note that you cannot mix and match individual tacos for a taco plate if you want the deal! Ordered a Rooster Sunrise margarita, 2 chorizo tacos, 1 jerk chicken taco, 2 al pastor tacos, and sides of plantains and chips w/ queso. All were excellent. Loved that they jave a hot sauce and toppings bar to further customize, too. The plaintains on the chorizo tacos were inspired!

We dined outside on a beautiful night. Cool spot to people watch. Our waitress was super personable and offered great menu guidance when we asked. We started with chips and the trifecta: queso, guacamole, and salsa. I’m not normally tortilla chip obsessive, but their chips are thicker than most and were very obviously fresh. The queso…so good that I’d have gladly chugged the bowl if I didn’t fear the scorn of my easily-embarrassed-by-mom 10-year-old. Our kids ordered from the kids menu. They were both pleased with their choices - chicken taco for one and cheese quesadilla for the other. The kids’ plates each came with their own chips and queso, as well. I opted for 2 street tacos - jerk chicken and al pastor. Our waitress said she gets an al pastor every day she works. After tasting it I saw why. The meat was ridiculously tender and flavorful. Probably one of the best Al pastors I’ve ever had. My husband got the torta de carnitas. Based on the speed with which he inhaled it, I’d say it was a big hit. We didn’t venture in to the salsa bar, as we were moving minimally after a long day at the beach. But apparently we missed out on quite a selection.

Went down on a busy Saturday night while artists in the park was on display. No street parking, only parking garage in rear at a cost of $10-25. Waitress was not dressed very professionally but atmosphere was very casual. Waitress was not patient with new customers. Restaurant was hot and sweaty. Chips and salsa was not bottomless and was saltless and very bland. Customer ant the table ordered guacamole dip, no salt and chips were very thick. Owner personally heated up some chips for one of the customers with me at my table and confessed he didn’t have the proper equipment to keep the chips warm, it was ordered. After we got the new chips, we felt sorry for the other customers that were being served cold, thick, and bland chips. Brisket Burrito was good, split in two as a courtesy. Manager only compensated for the bland guacamole and offered no other refunds/menu changes for the meal. Felt the meal was over priced under seasoned and not worth the jog downtown. 2/10 stars

The place looked great, but I'm not sure that the food was worthy of the price it cost. It wasn't bad by any means, but I wouldn't want to pay what I did to get it. I also was not a fan of the tortilla chips, personally. Too thick and almost bready. My friend and her family love this place though (she was here and she downed her whole plate before everyone else), so I certainly don't speak for everyone in sharing my thought on this one. Loved the exterior and interior design. Lots of hanging decor, wall decorations of various items, a hot sauce bar, wall decor in the bathroom, and neon lights outside when it gets dark! They also have outdoor and indoor seating! I'd say if you like Mexican food, it's at least worth a shot!
Xzavier — Google review
Let me start by saying the Surf and Turf burrito was amazing and I loved it. But, the chips were terrible and way too expensive. Their chips were very hard and not near as good as the free chips at most Mexican restaurants. The guacamole was just mediocre. Not bad but not great. For $9, the chips and guac should have been great. The salsa on the salsa bar was not good. My wife has egg and dairy allergies so she had to get something without cheese. She ordered a burrito with chicken and veggies. They forgot to put the veggies in the burrito. Apparently, the cheese gives the burrito all the flavor as her burrito was very bland and she didn't enjoy it. The restaurant was packed when we got there so we had to wait 30 mins and then were sat outside. The service was also very slow. Unfortunately, someone was smoking near us outside which was not enjoyable. Not the restaurant's fault but did not help our experience. I would come back for the Surf and Turf burrito but that's about it.
George L — Google review
Saw this on DDD several years ago and was excited to finally be in the area to try it. We were beyond disappointed. Chips were hard as rock with no flavor to the salsa. The mahi, shrimp, and jerk chicken tacos were bland. Only things that were any good were the brisket, cheese dip, and guac. It took over 20 minutes after we finished eating to get our check. They were not that busy.

Nature & Parks
Park
Meaher State Park, located less than 10 miles east of downtown Mobile, is a serene nature area offering camping and picnicking spaces, a fishing pier, and a waterfront boardwalk. The park is part of the Coastal Alabama Birding Trail and features gorgeous nature trails for hiking and bird watching. With over 1,300 acres of wetlands to explore, it's an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
First time here. Meaher is a gorgeous state park. It's in close proximity to all kinds of things. Bathhouse/restrooms are clean and comfortable. Sites are spacious and spaced far enough apart. Beautiful views of the bay - at sunrise and sunset. Plenty of gators to be seen. Staff was super friendly. Went straight across the road, to the government building, and got my out of state fresh water fishing license. Full hook-ups uos were nice. The pedestal grill was OK- but the wind kinda makes it hard to grill on it. No fire pits at campsites but with the amount of pine needles carpeting the ground I understand why. No biggie. Be sure and sweep/blow needles off the tops of your slide outside before retracting tem in. Just a suggestion. Overall it is a lovely place and we will be back sometime.
Robert R — Google review
A small but very beautiful park. The facilities (restrooms, showers, laundry) are well kept, the bathrooms being especially clean. They are currently adding new buildings and upgrading the park quite a bit. In addition to the well kept older wash buildings, there is a brand new wash house with each room having toilets, changing table, and shower. They have a brand new loop with paved, level sites; however, there is no shade in the new loop as all the trees were taken out to accommodate the new sites. Hopefully part of the long term plan is to put some trees in that area, as it can get extremely hot and the wind off the bay makes it hard to keep an awning or canopy in place. We struggled a little bit with the water pressure at our full hook-up RV site. The staff was so kind and accommodating, the boardwalk is perfect to catch a sunset. The boat launch is easily accessible to all sites. There is also a fishing pier, which we didn’t utilize but is also conveniently located within the park. The USS Alabama Memorial Park is a 10 minute drive from here, which was part of the reason we booked here to begin with. It’s also got groceries and restaurants nearby.

Came here for homecoming pictures. Absolutely gorgeous view and beautiful sunset. There were a few grasshoppers on the trail part. The park is well-maintained and has a grass pathway that leads to a pier overlooking the bay and causeway. It's really breathtaking.

For our girls trip, we found this park to tent camp while visiting the Mushroom Festival in Fairhope. We stayed at campsite 33, which is just steps from the water and has a little bench under a tree to sit on to enjoy the view of the Bay. There are water and electric at each site. The people here are so friendly and the facilities are clean. There is a coin laundry area, a kayak drop-in & rental, and a dock to walk out on to fish or just enjoy the view! Not every site has tree coverage so make sure if you want to have a couple of trees near you to just look up YouTube reviews that visit each site ... this is what helped me pick site 33 because I wanted to be near the water and have trees around us. We would definitely stay here again!!

Decided to stay one night while enroute to St. George Island. Park is very clean, sites are nice size, very level. We enjoyed a stroll on the boardwalk and saw an alligator eating its dinner. Showers/restrooms are clean. Each site has picnic table and grill, with full hook ups.

The best thing about this park is being on Mobile Bay for the sunsets and the wildlife - pelicans plunging for fish, the occasional alligator in the water. The lots are flat and paved, with full service outlets (electricity, water, sanitation), and a laundry on campus. The restrooms were extremely clean but oddly spartan - for example, no trash receptacles in the stalls in the women's rest room. You can hear the noise from Hwy 98 at this park. Great for a couple nights while exploring the Mobile area.

Great stop for a couple of hours - parked in a small shaded lot by the boardwalk. nice walk over the marsh - birds, turtles. saw lots of signs warning about gators but saw no gators. $3 per person for a day pass and they let us fill up our water tank at an open RV site. thank - you!!

We stay at state and regional parks frequently, and this is a favorite. Great views, spacious sites, and lots of interesting local attractions - especially Battleship Memorial Park. Plan to devote at least 2-3 hrs to touring the USS Alabama, and be aware there's lots more. Great place!!

Bob's Downtown Restaurant is a charming, old-school diner located at the corner of St. Francis and N. Jackson streets in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with sidewalk seating and a bar where diners can enjoy homemade breakfast and lunch items prepared from scratch daily. The menu features hearty American dishes, and the staff is known for being fun and friendly.
My wife and I spent a Saturday in Mobile and we stayed the night also. We were going to drive back home on Sunday so she said, “Let’s go get a good breakfast before we hit the road.” I searched restaurants and this one had really good reviews. My wife really likes French toast so she ordered the Colonel’s French Toast and she said it was the best French toast that she’s ever had. I ordered the Julie’s Breakfast and it was really good as well. We were very happy that we gave Bob’s a try and we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Mobile.

Nice small cozy place in the middle of downtown Mobile. Alabama service is outstanding. Food is pretty darn good too. They have optional seating outside or inside. Seafood gumbo is pretty darn tasty. The burgers are excellent. The services true Southern hospitality, smiles and laughter all through the building. Don't forget to sneak around back of the building and get your photo with the wings painted on the back door

They've not gotten my order correct either time i've been there. Don't try to make changes to the menu item, thats how they make it. Hard wood seating so bring your own cushion. The fries were good.

Art museum
Museums
Situated in Langan Park, the Mobile Museum of Art is a prominent cultural institution boasting an extensive permanent collection of over 10,000 artworks from various periods. The museum also hosts rotating regional and traveling exhibitions. Its mission is to educate and inspire through visual art. In addition to its artistic offerings, Mobile features historic architecture downtown, including the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and charming Victorian homes.
What a pleasant surprise for a city like Mobile, AL! I wasn't expecting to see all the cool pieces available here. Everyone was so friendly, and I even got to hear about the history behind some of the pieces. I always wonder about the generous donors and how they may have come across certain things. There's a horse figure from before Jesus walked the Earth in the Asian exhibit that was originally a gift to an actor who had no idea what it was, so he gave it to a friend, and that friend donated it to this fine museum so that others could enjoy its beauty. There are pieces from Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso; right here in Mobile! There are even pieces from Bronze Age China! How incredible is that? For those who enjoy physical keepsakes, the gift shop is full of art that you can buy from pottery, paintings, woven objects, and jewelry. The view of the surrounding park from inside the museum is so nice on a sunny day. An oasis of tranquility and beauty tucked away in MobTown.
Ajax G — Google review
They’ve got parking space for days, so you won’t be circling around sweating bullets. The ticket prices ain’t too bad either, especially if you’re military—props to them for recognizing our service folks. $12 for a regular adult ticket, $8 if you’re military. Not gonna break the bank, but it does set the tone: you’re expecting to get your money’s worth. Now, the art itself? Some of it’s downright stunning, and I’m not saying that lightly. Local artists are repped well, which is always a plus. And the kids’ section? Y’all, it’s like they sprinkled magic in there. If you’ve got little ones, they’ll be in heaven—touching, building, playing, learning. Heck, even grown folks might find themselves drawn to the giant Legos and couches. I saw folks who didn’t have kids hanging out there like they were 10 again. So yeah, points for creativity and making art fun. But here’s the thing: the museum as a whole feels like it’s trying to be a big deal, but it ain’t quite there yet. Sure, it’s got three floors, and some of that art has history going back a thousand years, but the vibe is inconsistent. Some collections look like they belong in a world-class museum, while others feel more like a college art class final project. And don’t even get me started on the layout—it’s confusing. Why do I gotta go to the gift shop just to grab a ticket? Feels like they’re funneling you straight into a money trap before you even get to the good stuff. For a city like Mobile, with under 200,000 people, the museum’s got potential. It’s a solid attempt at being a cultural hub, but it falls short in execution. They’ve got the bones for something great—local talent, interactive exhibits, and a space that’s peaceful in parts. But they need to tighten up the experience. Be consistent, clean the place up, and for goodness’ sake, keep your doors open as advertised.

This has been one of our favorite art museums so far. The fantastical forest was our favorite to see.
Austin A — Google review
I visited the Mobile Museum of Art recently along with my friend. The place is quite easy to locate and has ample space for parking. We visited on the weekend but still we didn't find any rush. They do have military based tickets as my friend used that facility as she is part of the services. I bought a regular adult ticket. Regular adult tickets are 12 dollars and military personnel tickets are 8 dollars. We enjoyed our time here a lot. A few of the art pieces were really amazing and admirable. A lot of local artists paintings are for sale as well. My favorite part of the museum is the Kid's section. If you guys are visiting with kids this place is a perfect choice. Lots of creative stuff to do for kids. My friend also loved that section a lot. The people in the museum were also really helpful in explaining to us a few of the paintings and the artists behind it. Special shout out to Donna. She really ensured we understood the paintings that were there in her section. Overall we had a really artistic time here and I would recommend this museum to seekers of all sorts.
Utkarsh G — Google review
My first time visiting. Everyone was very helpful and kind. They have a variety of exhibits from Surrealisim to Chinese pottery and European Realism and Modern Abstract, as well as an area to let kids get out some energy and play, touch and create as well as 2 or 3 other areas for children to experience so I would definitely say it is very kid friendly. There is also a garden and park area outside with a boardwalk and trail. I saw several people using the park to exercise and enjoy being out in the wonderful weather we had today. The museum itself is also beautiful in the rotunda area where you walk in and has a gift shop where you can buy art that's made by a lot of the local artists as well.
Vanessa B — Google review
We had a great time! Highly recommend this museum. Beautiful art, some pieces were 1,000 years old. A fun area for kids. Affordable ticket prices. Friendly staff.

If you’re in or traveling through the Mobile, AL area and looking for a thoughtful, well‑curated art experience, the Mobile Museum of Art is a strong choice. Via Emilia is a charming Northern Italian restaurant located in Mobile, known for its warm and inviting atmosphere. The family-owned eatery has been a beloved institution for over 25 years, offering authentic from-scratch Italian cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. The cozy setting features an open kitchen, koi pond, and intimate patio where guests can enjoy their meals. With a wide selection of 35 different wines available, diners can find the perfect pairing for their meal.
My favorite Mobile restaurant! It is so quaint and lovely. I loved the food, the service, the wine selection, and the atmosphere. I had the homemade sausage rigatoni paired with the Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon and it was perfection. Will definitely be back soon!

If you are looking for a cozy place to enjoy a great Italian meal give this place a try. Great for a date night. I'm guessing the menu changes every night. FYI if you're expecting complimentary bread and salad think again. They have a nice wine and dessert menu. We had the Shrimp & Crabmeat Genoese and Chicken Marsala. Both excellent. Tiramisu for dessert. This was a last minute decision on a Monday night so we called and made immediate reservations arrived and were seated pretty quickly.
Larry L — Google review
Make a reservation to ensure avail table.l and review board for menu or online only. The place is small and loud due to small place and close proximity of guest and tables. The wine was great. My chicken was cold in spots, the lasagna was good and piping hot. Dinner for 2 around $110

Fantastic food, great ambience, and good wine selection. Prices were as expected for the type of establishments. Only thing is the chairs in the courtyard were uncomfortable! Definitely going back, though!

Definitely one of my favorite spots for a dinner out, harder to get into in recent years so definitely recommend a reservation. Brought in a friend down from Tennessee who also worked fine dining in our younger years and both were extremely happy. The food was excellent as always and simply love the consistency of this place. My guest loved it just as much if not more. Been a long time fan and look to many more years here at Via Emilia!

I’ve been coming here for years. Last night was the best so far. I had the Pan Seared Unicorn, I’ve never had a better piece of fish on the coast! It was SO buttery & savory. I thoroughly enjoyed that. My girlfriend got the lasagna and she enjoyed that as well. Both of our dishes were hot and fresh! Our server was quite friendly and attentive. Of course the restaurant is small and that’s fine, doesn’t bother us one bit. Will absolutely be back! Thank you guys for a wonderful meal!
Gavin B — Google review
If you want quality food and service, do not show up past 7:45. We called because we wanted to be considerate and make a reservation. We made our reservation forty minutes before closing time. They called back and informed us that they closed at nine. Okay, so first problem- the restaurant needs to specifically make their last reservation for 7:30 to give their customers time to eat and their kitchen the 40minutes it took to make an app and 2 entrees. To have the hostess call us back to let us know they close at 9 was absurd. She said someone forced her to call us back and tell us. Again absurd. This was confusing because there is absolutely no hustle in getting the food out, and no attentiveness to the tables. We literally sat there for over 10 minutes waiting for our server or any server to take my money so I could leave. So we arrived earlier than the reservation time. The appetizer took an easy 20 minutes from the time we were seated. They were out of multiple apps……..The appetizer was cooked throughout.; there needs more sauce on it. So it was friend green tomatoes, a plop of red peppers, and a couple of random Romain leaves. They were seasoned well but were dry. The chicken parm style- good chicken portion but I asked for extra sauce because the sauce always soaks into the breading. The pesto pasta should be called pasta with a pinch of pesto. The pasta was dry and cold and reminded me of what you would feed a toddler at dinner to prevent a mess. I asked for more sauce so I could eat my pasta in which I was told there was no more red sauce. How do you run out of a staple component that goes with half the menu????? Or is it that they just refused to heat up anymore red sauce? The zucchini was apparently the reason why our food was held up. We must of had a special edition because the zucchini was black as night. It easily took 30 minutes to get our food. Again, the phone call was completely pointless because it was the restaurant who lacked any hustle in ensuring they would close at 9. The dish has potential to be a great tasting dish…… it definitely missed the mark. Had they informed me before I ordered that they were out of red sauce, I would not have ordered this dish. The eggplant Emilia- everything was cold except the eggplant. Apparently, the midnight edition zucchini held this up also. However, the eggplant was executed well. It just had nothing else to compliment it on the plate because it was cold…… The reviews looked promising and I may try it again one day but it will not be on my dime and definitely…. Can you guess what I’m about to say? Not be Past 7:30. Service- inattentive, don’t expect refills, and good luck finding your server. Credit card fees- they charges us a 2.75% fee for using a credit card. Nobody said anything nor is there anything stating this in the restaurant. At least inform the customers before they sit down and give them the option to pay cash. Also, it’s really loud in here so anyone who has hearing issues, may not enjoy sitting inside. Parents that bring their babies to date night, you may want to come an hour before the babies bedtime. Your baby will not sleep, and you won’t get to eat. Overall 2.5 but not close enough to 3 stars. Overpriced.

Eh. Its ok. Really wants to be fine dining. Located near USA campus. A bit overpriced but the college kids do not know better concerning the quality or price. Also there are a few items featured on the website that aren't on the menu.

Great tour with lots of info on the house and its former owners. The house is available for weddings and receptions and other events. The grounds are well maintained as is the house itself. The tours start only at the top of the hour so plan accordingly and don't be late.

The home is very elegant and the young lady who gives the tours is very pleasant. However they do not allow photos (After of course I had taken a few) I was informed. I believe the admission price was $10 a person. They do have wheel Chair accessibility And an elevator so you needn't have to climb the stairs if unable. However if you are unable to climb the stairs you won't be able to see the pictures they have in the vestibule that shows the home prior to having an add on To the porch. Extremely beautiful and most everything in the house is original Except for one bedroom and They will tell you about that. There is a lot more than this to see, if you like what I've shown you it's a must see !!

Great food and atmosphere. My wife had been telling me about this place for a while. We decided to go and I was pleasantly surprised. The first time we went it was so packed we had to eat in the bar area but I found out why it was packed. The food is delicious. During out most recent visit, my wife had the seared scallops and I had the grass fed ribeye. My wife said her food was delicious and gave it a 9/10 my steak was delicious. My wife even ate some of my potato wedges. Literally everything was good. Our waitress was so attentive and personal, it made it like we were regulars. When you have time, go to this place. Every time we have gone, it has been packed so I recommend making a reservation. If not, you will most likely be eating in the bar area. When you make a reservation, your table will be ready when you arrive and you will have "cold" water already at your table ready for you. Your server will be there ready to offer suggestions and take your order. The food is delicious and the staff is professional and organized. Highly recommend this location.

Went for our anniversary. We got the sliders as appetizers, the 16oz ribeye, the chicken Marsala, and finished off with a caramel cheese cake. The sliders were well seasoned and tasted delicious. The chicken Marsala was good. The ribeye was good but a bit fatty and could have used more seasoning. The cheesecake was the best we’ve ever had!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ EPICALLY DESERVED FIVE STARS Pour Baby is hands down one of the most phenomenal dining experiences in Mobile — and honestly, anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of stylish and welcoming. The service? Absolutely top-notch — attentive without being overbearing, genuinely kind, and you can feel the passion for what they do in every interaction. The food is on another level. Each dish is crafted with creativity and care — from starters that set the tone, to entrées that truly blow your mind, to desserts that leave you speechless. Every bite was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and honestly unforgettable. Add to that a wine selection and cocktail list that are on point in every sense — curated, thoughtful, and full of incredible options to fit any mood or pairing. And just when you think the experience has peaked, the desserts arrive and take things into the stratosphere. Rich, decadent, perfectly balanced — the kind of sweet ending you wish you could hit “repeat” on. Pour Baby is more than just a restaurant — it’s the full package: amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing people, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Mobile is lucky to have it, and it deserves every bit of praise it gets. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

Wow. What incredible food. I went here after failing to get into Texas Roadhouse, and I was not disappointed. Setting was great, the wine was great, the service was great, and the food spectacular! I don't know where they get their ingredients from and what school the chefs went to, but the food had me giggling like a toddler. If there is one spot to try in Mobile, this is it. This is the new standard for excellence. Update 2/1/2023: I went again last night, still fantastic!

The staff was friendly to us and asked if we needed anything or were looking for anything in particular as soon as we came in. Once we sat at the bar the service was friendly and quick. The pizza was delicious, I'm sorry that I didn't get a picture of it to share. We heard them talking about and setting up for a wine tasting, but we didn't have time to stay for too long. I'd gladly come back here and next time I'll look beforehand to see if they have any tastings or events. Nice space and friendly people.

Beautiful little Park, love all the trees and fountain. Situated in the middle of downtown. It's a nice little reprieve from the city life. Especially at night time when is skyline is lit up. The squirrels are a nice catch. But it's the trees that make it feel like a great city park.

This is a very relaxing park. Although it’s not large, it is very comfortable and clean inside. The fountain is also beautiful, which I really like. Additionally, the squirrels here are so lively and cute!

Barbecue restaurant
Cotton State BBQ, established in 2014 by brothers Ryan & David Tillman, offers a menu featuring classic smoked meats and comfort food sides in a casual setting with exposed brick. While traditional barbecue options like pulled-pork sandwiches with coleslaw are available, the restaurant also presents new twists on familiar flavors. The loaded beef brisket potato is a favorite, featuring thinly-sliced slow-cooked brisket and BBQ sauce on a loaded baked potato.
Respectably good BBQ located in downtown Mobile. We stopped by there before visiting USS Alabama. We've never been to Mobile so we just did a blind search on google map and found this place. We were concerned about parking but we easily found a spot. It was a nice day so we had our food to go and ate at the park next door. I'm not sure about their services but the interior seems pretty nice for a BBQ joint. Everything we had was good. They packed us some coleslaw (not sure if it was their normal thing to do) and it was great.

I’m not sure why this place has such great reviews. We ordered the "special," which was a brisket sandwich with cheese, bacon, and fries, but there was nothing special about it. The brisket was dry and bland, the bacon was overly salty and undercooked, and the overall meal was disappointing. To make things worse, our server seemed more interested in chatting with other customers than checking on us. The prices were also steep for what you get - $20 each for the special felt unreasonable. I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

Stuffed Bakes Potato was very good had all the fixings. Great location looking over Beinville Square.

My coworkers and I were in Mobile for a conference and wanted to experience some Alabama BBQ. It was tasty, and hits the spot when you want BBQ, but it is nothing out of this world. I ordered the pork sandwich with coleslaw and pickles. Never got the pickles, but the sandwich was jam-packed with meat and coleslaw! The seasoned fries were perfectly hot, crispy, and not too oily. Cute restaurant on the inside. Very friendly and attentive staff. I had a problem with my order and they were kind enough to remove it from the bill and offered to remake it
Sarah L — Google review
Great bbq in the heart of Mobile! I got the pulled pork sandwich and baked beans and they were both fantastic. They make their own sauce, which I really enjoyed too. My only complaint - weird hours… at least for a bbq place. They only serve breakfast and lunch (close at 2:00). When I asked about the hours, they said they mostly just serve the downtown lunch rush, which makes sense.
Dman13091 — Google review
I always look at reviews and read good things. BBQ sounded good. Left office, short walk, nice day. Waitress was helpful. Asked for the brisket French fries. Looked good when placed on table. Started to eat and the outside was barely warm. Start going to the center and not even close to hot, and barely warm. Waitress asked how was it and I said good but cold. She did say they could redo the order, but I was more than half done. Disappointed.

Stopped into Cotton State BBQ's new location last week and ordered the dry rub chicken wings. If im speaking honestly, these may be the best dry rub wings in Mobile. Theyre delicious and worth the price! Overall im really digging the new location. Its got a good feel to it. Plenty of seating. Unique art, super clean bathrooms (a huge plus). Kris and Joanna are the two servers you'll most likely deal with. Theyre both at the top of their game. Quick, efficient, accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. If youre a regular, they'll remember your name and usual order. A nice personal touch. They'll tend to you immediately and regularly Food did not take long to come out at all. Came out hot and just the way I imagined it. Perfect stop if youve got a short lunch break. 10/10 experience.

Cotton State BBQ was delicious! We experienced the Downtown food truck. The BBQ sauce is an award winning recipe and I will tell you I don't really care for too many bbq sauces but this sauce was bomb! The crinkle fries were seasoned and actually crispy! I get dissapointed with crinkles usually because they aren't crisp enough. My family loved the cheese fries and brisket fries!

Seafood restaurant
Southern restaurant (US)
Located in the Oakleigh Historic Garden District of Mobile, Alabama, The Hummingbird Way Oyster Bar is a seafood restaurant owned by Chef Jim Smith. The menu features elegant seafood dishes and a must-try starter called Biscuit Service. One of its standout desserts is the Lane cake, known for its coconut, raisin, and pecan-infused icing soaked in whiskey. The restaurant offers a fresh take on local seafood fare and has received praise for its inventive menu and friendly service.
We organized a special post-graduation celebration at The Hummingbird Way Oyster Bar, a charming spot that immediately captured our attention. Our server, Julia, was exceptional—her attentiveness and warmth made us feel truly welcomed throughout the evening. The food we savored was nothing short of exquisite, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The drinks complemented our meal perfectly, enhancing the overall experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, providing an ideal backdrop for our lively conversations. We never felt rushed, allowing us to fully enjoy each moment of this memorable occasion. Thank you so much for enhancing our day!

Truly a dining experience that you’d expect to find somewhere like New York, but it’s right here in a cozy, historic Mobile neighborhood. We went for a celebration and enjoyed a 5-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Local farm/surf-to-table cuisine prepared by a real chef…not a cook. Tasting menu (see photos) changes based on what’s in season. Oyster selection was very good.
C G — Google review
Very humble yet elegant place. It’s a perfect place for a quaint unfussy meal— to catch up with an old friend or host an intimate celebration. I went on a lunch date with my husband. I got the hanger steak and eggs; he got the flounder. I have no complaints, the service was great and the food was delicious. The hanger steak was perfectly medium rare and the flounder was also cooked well. I liked the blue cheese butter with the steak, but I think a peppercorn sauce or some light gravy would have tied it all together. I also thought the flounder dish was clever, it was cooked southern style with a twist: fried with a light cornmeal crust, swimming in a sweet savory Thai curry sauce. For me, the highlight of my meal was actually the oyster bisque. It was very delicate and savory. The morels gave it a very earthy taste paired with the gulf oysters the flavors was reminiscent of a surf and turf dish. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They were also very accommodating; my husband asked if they could do mocktails. The server asked what he was feeling and he asked for something savory and fruity. They took the time to craft a unique and refreshing drink for him. I thought that was awesome!

We had the most amazing brunch today! I can’t believe we hadn’t found this place yet but we will definitely be back! That salmon was chefs kiss!!! If I had to critique anything I would say the crème brûlée was slightly over torched but it was still amazing!

A pleasure for the palette The biscuit service is a must ! The crab cake was perfect It did not have unnecessary ingredients The peach salad was a warm summer evening delight The hanger steak and hash was a beautiful blend of mouth watering flavors Unfortunately, I was too full for dessert Our server was a delight Very attentive and conscientious Perfect summer on the patio

The lion fish and crab cake lacked a distinctive flavor signature. The ambiance and service were great and we really enjoyed the pineapple upside down cake and prosecco. The menu is probably 25% too high in price. I recommend developing some dishes with stronger taste profiles.

We finally visited The Hummingbird Way last night. We ordered the tasting menu, and the flavors were exceptional! I was particularly impressed with the wine pairings. I don’t usually enjoy white, but all of the selections complimented the food so well. We also had the BEST server! She was attentive, professional, and polite. 💕(We had the Wagyu as our main. I forgot to take a pic of the pork course, which was my favorite.)

This is a nice open field/space great for outdoor events. The Mardis Gras tree is gorgeous so kudos to whoever decorated!! There is history here and it's right across from the museum which makes for a nice outing. We also saw scooters for rent right in front of this park. There is no playground but would be nice for a nice lunch in the park. I saw a family throwing football and there was still plenty of room for others to roam.

Amazing atmosphere, seating, and music. We very much enjoyed the vibes here. We ordered a cappuccino and hot coffee which were delicious and had great presentation. The blueberry pastry was yummy. Would visit again. Worth a try. The taco truck outside has wonderful food. We also ordered brunch drinks that were amazing.

We stopped for a quick bathroom break on our way home from the beach and ended up wishing we could stay longer. Nova had immaculate vibes, shady trees, a great outdoor space with a taco truck, and zero wait. The cortado was perfect—smooth, balanced, exactly what I needed. Solid spot all around. Would recommend!

Great specialty coffee shop! It seems like they lean third-wave but also offer a little something for everyone. I tried one of the fall seasonals — “Siena,” molasses and orange — half sweet as a hot latte for here, and it was really tasty. As a barista, it’s easy for me to be disappointed at other coffee shops, but the execution on my drink was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though it took a while to order on a Saturday as it was quite busy, my drink was ready very quickly. And I really enjoyed the atmosphere as a hangout or study space. Nova was recommended to me by several friends and I agree — you’ve got to check this spot out when in Mobile! Back when I used to come visit the area in high school there were no good coffee shops around, so I’m very happy there have been a few additions to the coffee scene since I last visited!

New favorite coffee place! I have found very few coffee shops in Mobile that have genuine real coffee. If you don't have coffee breath, it isn't real coffee! From the smell of the beans being ground, to the taste of the espresso, it's all amazing! Cool indoor area with much needed air conditioning during the summer. Outdoor seating and dog friendly. They have pints and flights for a reasonable price. Enjoyed the red enough to grab a 6 pack on our way out.

We really enjoy going to Braided River and sitting outside on the picnic tables sipping good beer. Our only comment is for them to always try and have a few options other than just IPAs on tap. Usually during the fall/winter we can get a good amber, stout, or porter but less so during the rest of the year.

The beer here is solid. I'm sure as the brewery matures the beer will improve as well. The atmosphere is unique and modern. Very industrial aesthetic and vibe. The bartenders are nice and the place shows a lot of promise. They don't specialize in any beer which means they have a lot of different styles. Well, not sure how to rate this. We were camping & drove into Mobile to check out the park only to find that it's completely dug up (except for the big trees)...including most of the parking lot. So, nothing to see except big equipment dredging the river's edge & dumping it onto the land & the statue of Diberville (but that may belong to the nautical museum). Expanding the park? Turning it into something else?

This is an interesting little park on the riverfront that we visited when we were in town for an event at the Convention Center. You can watch the ships coming and going, and take a short walk. Not sure why, but they had the area closest to the river blocked off when we were there. The parking lot is good for using when going to an event in the Convention Center, rather than getting lost in the parking garage and having to pay a $12 fee.

I honestly don’t know how many locations they have, but if I ever did, I would have all of them saved because their coffees are the absolute best. And the best thing is they actually have a bunch of sugar-free options, which is amazing for anybody that is diabetic or insulin resistant. You really don’t have to worry about how much it’s gonna raise your sugar because if you tell them, they’re gonna go ahead and use sugar-free options. A few of my favorites are the vanilla bean with with three pumps of coconut, coconut cream Matcha, butter, pecan latte, and the plain old white mocha. If you like hot ones, definitely try their Blondie on the beach and you’ll be amazed to know that they actually make a killer pumpkin spice during the autumn. ❤️ hope you find your favorite seasonal and regular flavor because they are worth the shot.

It has historical significance as the former residence of Nicola Marschall, the designer of the original Confederate flag. Very dissatisfied Just moved here and I found my new bar hangout I tried many places definitely my favorite(EDIT I WAS GETTING HARRASSED BY A GROUP TO push me off the pool table yelling at me received no help from staff even when a girl tried fighting me)just for not giving them the table IN THE MIDDLE OF MY GAME? I really like this place but almost feels unsafe.....got trapped in the bathroom they broke in my door an almost got jumped the group noted they go every weekend so I won't be going any weekend again sadly it's a bummer because I thought I found a good chill spot I didn't even get to see the band.... I mean the place itself is amazing and I had no problem when I went on a weekday this was byfar the worst experience I've had in any establishment... Very scary experience for sure.

Nestled in the heart of Mobile, AL, Hayley's Bar is a vibrant local gem that promises an unforgettable experience for all who enter. As the oldest bar on Dauphin Street, it boasts a unique and eclectic decor that sets the stage for lively gatherings. The friendly bartenders are dedicated to ensuring every patron feels like part of the family while serving up an impressive array of beers and cocktails.
I love all of the bartenders here! Caila, Elaine, Buck, etc. they are all amazing! Not only will they take care of you at the bar but they look out for you IN the bar!! It’s a family round here and they will welcome you with open arms!! If you don’t stop by, you are missing out!!! Plus, they have pool!!!

Busy area. Free street parking. Good luck. Looks small. Not very busy. Neons everywhere. Large open space with a pool table.

Been going for years! I’ve never had bad service or a bad time. True dive bar unlike anything else around! 10/10 recommend
Poppins W — Google review
Downtown dive bar that can stay open later than the rest. Pool, loud music, smoking and lots of liquor. The clientele is as eclectic as it gets. While there, a woman fell off her barstool. Somehow she still owned that moment and had the rest of the bar giving her props. I'm down for that type of crowd.
Malcolm E — Google review
Hanah is awesome! Her and the staff at the bar have the highest standards and moreover integrity. I left my phone here for four days by accident and they not only kept it safe but charged it. I would highly recommend this bar. The staff in all parties included as premier.
Josh B — Google review
Worst service I’ve ever had at a bar. Bartenders are awful and it reeks of cigarette smoke. I will never come back here. Old crowd and it shows, honestly any other bar would be better.
CloudierCrown G — Google review
One of my favorite dive bars to visit when I'm in Mobile. The staff makes it great.
Cprateau — Google review
Great place, friendly bar tender. Reminds me of a very character filled, clean dive bar. If you are ever in Downtown Mobile, don't miss going to Hayley's!

Bar
Brickyard is a vibrant live music venue located in the heart of downtown Mobile, where the atmosphere buzzes with energy and excitement. This community hotspot showcases an impressive lineup of bands from across the Southeast, offering a diverse range of musical genres that cater to every taste—from jazz to classic rock. Whether you're looking to unwind at the bar with a fine selection of liquors or enjoy some lively tunes with friends, Brickyard has you covered.
Came here on Easter weekend and our group was in before the night life started. They started charging a cover at some point but if you get in early enough you don't have to worry about it. Decent amount of space around the bar and helpful staff monitoring the pool tables. AN IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're parking on the street in front of the bar and your vehicle is there after 11 on the weekend, you will likely be impounded. The police do keep heavy monitoring of this area and are very quick once the clock strikes.
Glider R — Google review
The bar is small but attracts a good crowd. I enjoy the live music. I would say the bar is like 20x35 feet of room for the crowd and a small Hallway for the bath room. Can get crowded but usually has a good vibe for the most part. Worth trying to see if it fits your bar type at least once recommended for at least one visit on a slow night Sunday- Wednesday and at least once on Friday or Saturday to see if it fits your type of bar liking.
Alexander R — Google review
Absolute worst place I've ever been to. I was an out of town visitor for my bday 3.5.91. My sisters and I went to the bathroom and a small bouncer came yelling at my sister for supposedly holding the bathroom door open (it's a small bathroom and it's just courtesy). He told us we had to leave we said that was fine and we'll head out. He walks away and comes back with like 8 people. We were assaulted and thrown out of the club. Swollen and attacked all because we went to the bathroom. Completely unprofessional. That place needs to be shut down. O'Dalys was 10 times better anyway. They wouldn't have punched a woman square in the face.
Qwanisha C — Google review
Love the atmosphere because of the variety: sit at bar, at table, in front or back, or play pool. The bartenders are very knowledgeable. They have live music every late night.
Sydney C — Google review
Not my kind of crowd. But I'm sure someone likes it. Good looking 🍸 Bar

Great Sunday happy hour on draft beer. First beer is full price and second beer only $1!!! Always good music and the crowd is always good. Jarvis provided excellent service and good counseling on beer selection!

Brick Yard was a very cool spot. Had great energy, loved the vibe. The bartenders were super friendly and I never felt out of place. If I lived closer this would be a regular hangout for me!

Such a fun food tour and I’ve been on plenty so I know a good one when I’m on one ;) Our guide was awesome! Beyond the food stops, she took us to a park, a special church, and a hotel with a secret! Food stops were good, the last food stop had a surprise waiting. You’ll walk for about 15 minutes after the first stop to your second destination, so grab a to go drink from the bar! This was a truly awesome experience filled with history, good food, and a few unexpected moments! All walking is on level ground, no stairs, dress according to weather and take lots of pics! We plan to bring our adult daughters back to check this out!
Angie J — Google review
This tour was the perfect balance of local history, creative dishes, and Mobile flavor. Lee guided us like a pro, and every stop had its own story that made the food even more meaningful. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to taste their way through the city in one afternoon!

Took the Old Mobile Evening Food Tour yesterday. Five couples in the group was just the right size. Our guide, Bella, was both extremely knowledgeable and extremely enthusiastic about the historical background provided. Was glad to find the tour was flexible enough to accommodate an unexpected departure from the scheduled timing of each stop. Everything came together and made for a very enjoyable evening. I recommend.

Highly recommend! Next time I see Lee I owe him a drink! Thanks for a great time.

We were walking Mobile after supper and decided to get a drink, reviews were 'all positive', s.o.o.o...in we go, what a fun time we had! Drinks are strong, bartender great conversation, locals pleasant... it felt like "Cheers". Though our life style is different, it was one of the best places we visited on our vacation; if ever back in Mobile we would definitely return for drinks!! Thank you, we had fun, Cheers!!
Michael V — Google review
Flip Side is a great little bar to pop in and hang out and have a drink or 2. Just love the people and atmosphere! Small, quaint, laid back. Reasonable cocktail prices. Karaoke, outside covered patio with beautiful plants and flowers for smoking area. Jerry is making this another success!! Perfect if you just want to hang or meet up with friends without a huge crowd.

Love this place. Friendliest people I've ever met. Parking sucks tho.$10 for 4 hours. They don't have parking available so have to use private lot. Easy on and off from I-10. Recommend highly.

We want there with family for karaoke night (Tuesday). Bob, the bartender, was very nice, attentive, and mixed a good drink. Matt, the MC for karaoke, was hilarious. Loved when Bob and Matt sang a duo!
