Two years after my first visit, I'm back, and this place has reconfirmed its status as the best fried chicken in the world. The chicken is consistently delicious, tender, and incredibly soft, complemented by their fantastic sauces. The staff is exceptionally kind and friendly. I was surprised and grateful when they gave me a free side after I told them I was visiting from out of town and hadn't been there in two years. I highly recommend trying the tenders and the Big O sandwich, and you can't go wrong with their amazing lemonade. I'll make sure to visit every time I'm in Vancouver!

Great chicken burger! A must-visit spot. The chicken burgers are made with dark meat, giving them a rich and juicy flavor you don’t find everywhere. There’s a bunch of free two-hour parking nearby, but the spots right in front of Downlow are paid. It feels more like a take-out place in my opinion, but I was able to grab a table inside. Definitely worth the stop!

Fires are overseasoning, but the cashier did a wonderful job providing all customization options, Thank you! Burger was very freshly made and my husband loved it so much; very unfortunately, my husband felt nauseous after sitting in the inside area for five minutes, he might be too sensitive to the deep fire oily smell. He could not eat anything till two hours after we drove home. Glad the cold burger still tastes fantastic. He’s still willing to try this store again!!

We were welcomed like old friends rather than just customers, which instantly set the tone for an unforgettable experience. A special shoutout to Alex at the front—so personable, warm, and genuinely passionate. He completely elevated our visit. We were even gifted some fries and lemonade, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected surprise. Now the food… WOW. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—just how it should be. The fries were seasoned to perfection, light, crispy, and full of flavor. And the lemonade? No exaggeration—the best I’ve ever had. Tangy, sweet, refreshing—I’ll be thinking about it until the next time I’m back. If you’re looking for top-tier chicken and unmatched hospitality, this is the spot.

This is some of the highest quality hot fried chicken sandwiches you’ll eat. It has all the elements required: soft bun, good amount of coleslaw, and a huge piece of chicken. Moreover, I love that you can choose between chicken breast or thigh (go with thigh please). Lastly, they offer multiple types of heat. I took the second highest (called “Side Of Milk) heat level and it is quite spicy. I think most people will not be able to go above Extra Hot. I feel the only things that could’ve kicked the sandwich up a notch, for my personal taste is - Use a bit more of the OG sauce to add some creaminess and balance to the spice - Use some kind of chili oil season instead of dry rub. The best part of all this was the really great accommodating staff. I think the owner/manager was some of the friendliest people I’ve met and you can truly tell he cares about the food and the service. Overall, an amazing experience for someone who sets very high standards with hot fried chicken. FYI the sandwich is $19 (after tax) which is a bit steep, but worth it for the size and quality. There are a couple of tables inside and a few more on the patio outside.

This is hands down my favorite non Asian fried chicken spot. Everything on the menu is made incredibly well. Whether I go for the regular, spicy, or any other flavor, I’m always satisfied. The chicken is always crispy, never soggy, even when they’re super busy. You can really tell they care about consistency and quality. And the sauces? Absolutely amazing. Every single one I’ve tried has been packed with flavor and pairs perfectly with the chicken. If you’re a fried chicken fan, this place is a must-try.

I don't think I'll be coming back. For the price, I expected more. I'll just go to my usual chicken burger place, which is Popeyes.

Was very excited to try this restaurant out, but was concerned after reading the mixed reviews. The food is INCREDIBLE - the gf fried chicken is fantastic and juicy. The fries were yummy too. The gravy is thin (could be thicker) but has amazing flavour. We would recommend taking your food to go based on the area and small amount of seating.

We went to watch a matinee at the International Village and was looking for a place close by for early dinner after the movie. A friend had recommended Juke a while ago so it was time to give it a try. There was a good selection of foods and drinks. We were also very pleasantly surprised to see the offering on the happy hour menu. A cocktail or beer plus 2 pieces of chicken (on the first drink) for only $10!. I think this is the best happy hour deal we have seen. We each ordered our own happy hour sets and shared an order of hush puppies and an order of fries. My Eraserhead was delicious. The fried chicken pieces were crispy and juicy. They could be a little warmer though. Fries were good too. Hush puppies were good but I don't think the ones here are made with cornmeal. I want to come back to try the wings. I will definitely pay my friend's recommendation forward.

Gluten free fried chicken? Heck ya! I made a stop here on the way to the airport for some snacks (chicken skins & popcorn chicken with an ice tea). Sooooo yum, allergy & celiac friendly! I wish we had a place like this in Montreal, fresh food, friendly service and absolutely delicious! I’d come back for this alone.

I tried the whole pieces of fries chicken, chicken nuggets, popcorn chicken, ribs, and fries. Chicken was amazing. Best gluten-free breading I've ever had. The breading is crispy, light, and has some sort of zesty seasoning. The meat itself is flavorful, likely brined. All in all, not greasy at all. The fries were good as well. The ribs weren't great. They were dry (baked too long or not covered while being baked) and the flavors weren't very punchy.

I'm not sure to understand the hype about this place. I've been recommended to try Juke Fried Chicken many times and finally came as I was starving and craving for fried chicken. I took a platter for two for $39, including 5 pieces of chicken, mac and cheese, hush puppies and I chose corn on the cob as side. The chicken: was dry (I read comments about them being juicy but that's definitely not what I had), and lots of clog of under-cooked batter. Got 3 drumsticks and 2 thighs. All the edges of the mac and cheese was so dry that you'd better have a good jaw to chew and not break a tooth on it. Looks like it has been cooked and stored for a while. The middle part was good but nothing extraordinary. It's the first time I had hush puppies in my life. They're tasty and a nice discovery. Be advised that the corn on the cob are topped up with some herbs and spices that may not be at everyone's taste - I personally didn't like it. Also I was not advised it would be a little spicy while I said when choosing the sauces that I couldn't handle spicy food at all. They could have told me about the corn. Overall I was very disappointed, I expected to have a great dinner but this was way below my expectations.

Best gluten free restaurant I’ve tried in Vancouver. We ordered the Mac and cheese with popcorn chicken, the classic burger and fries and a side of hush puppies. Everything was amazing and super fresh. Very friendly staff and nice clean seating.

Ordered Juke after a night out in Vancouver. My friends rave about this spot and told me it’s one of their go too’s! Got the classic big chicken sando. Absolutely loved the house made coleslaw and the sauce, we ordered take out so the chicken wasn’t as crispy as I expected but still had a good crunch and was super tasty

I live the mochi donuts!!! Has to be one of the favourite breakfast place in Vancouver. This time, I had a box of 6 donuts. We also had a variety of their sandwiches and a mocha that did not disappoint. Every food tasted quality, freshness, and flavour perfectly done. Overall, it as almost perfect. It would have been nice if they had the reservation as an option as especially for elderly and kids as seat availability has always been tough specially on weekends. Anyway, I still love this place and I won’t hesitate to keep going back.

We went today at 11am and waited about 30mins before being seated. Due to the weekend crowds, I heard that later arrivals had an average wait time of an hour. Then it took about 20 to 30mins for all the food to be served, but it was worth the wait. Their beef brisket hash and the benedict are delicious, but the best is the cereal milk mochi donut, definitely a must-try! Their hojicha latte is also nice!!! The last, during our meal, we had an unpleasant experience. The server who handled the situation was very professional, and we were very satisfied with the speed and result of the handling. We will definitely come again!

warning for anyone hoping to sit on the patio — it is takeout only, meaning you can only get their sandwiches / donuts / drinks, no other brunch items. they are very strict about this rule ! i really wanted to try the chicken and pancakes but i had a puppy with me , and alas … the mortadella breakfast sandwich was exquisite though — the juicy onion dashi was DRIPPING and had such a deep, satisfying, and nuanced flavour, it went so well with the salty mortadella which had super crispy edges (it was also super oily, like dripping with oil!!!). all of this lay on a soft, warm, and fluffy bed of scrambled eggs, and was coated with a slightly tangy aioli that really brought all the flavours together. another highlight was the tater tots. they were the really nice, hefty, and high quality ones that were super piping and warm on the side and fried PERFECTLY crispy on the outside. it was seasoned flawlessly, with a paprika and slightly lemony taste. the mochi donuts are also a must get. we tried all the available flavours, and i really loved the chewy, glutinous mochi base in all of them. my favourite was the cereal milk mochi: the icing was super sweet, kind of like a pasty condensed milk, and the cereal added a nice crunch. the brown butter was my second favourite, it was more like a plain donut with a sugar glaze, although it was much less sweet than the other ones (which was nice). the strawberry yakult was really just a strawberry donut, but sweeter? the grainy, cement-y pastiness of the icing tasted artificial , but i think that’s the case with most strawberry donuts. i did enjoy all of them though!

Have gone here for takeout and brunch dine-in. The mochi donuts (brown butter and strawberry yakult) were really good (5 stars). Perfect chew but note they do sell out quick on the weekends so go early morning! The brunch experience was average. It took approx 1 hour to get a table on a Sat (you put your phone number down). The fried chicken and pancakes were ok but small portion for the price. The dine-in space is pretty small and can get pretty loud but the servers were friendly.

Went with a group of friends and waited 45 minutes before we got a table. The wait from the time we ordered and drinks coming and then the food coming was quite a delay. Friendly staff though. It was worth the wait. I scarved down my Beef Brisket Hash in a flash since it was so tasty and easy to eat, plus hunger is a good spice. Tried out my friend's Chicken & Pancake with shaved foie gras. Regretted not getting it. Was unfortunate I couldn't try everything but I'll come back again some day to try the other items in the menu, including those delicious sounding mochi donuts.

I always saw people from the office ordering, and they always said it was really good, so after a while, I had to try it. It was really fast; the preparation, even in a Thursday afternoon rush hour, took only 5 minutes from the order until it was ready. As for the taste, it is good. I got the Fried Chicken Breast Bowl, and the chicken was really soft and tasty. The bowl size is good, and I felt full. Maybe my expectation was too high, but it was that good as I was expecting. It was good for sure, but not that good.

At $18, you get about 10-12 waffle fries, some meat sprinkled with a bit of shredded cheese, and a scoop of sour cream. Although pricey for what you get, I'll likely have it again.

I went to the denman location. It was not too busy so I was able to order my food right away. It took approx 15 min to receive it. I ordered the double stacker thinking I was really Hungry but after sinking my teeth in to it, I realized I may be in over my head. Overall it was Ok. Just the sandwich itself with no sides came to almost $20.

As someone who doesn't frequent downtown much, I've had the Frying Pan food truck on my list of places to try for a very long time. Recently had the chance to try them in mid-September. Expect a bit of a wait for your order if you go during the lunch hour. Ibgot the medium spicy sandwich and waffle fries. It had a very thicc chicken breast but it turned out pretty good and moist inside. The medium spicy is not really spicy. The standout tho was the crispy and crunchy waffle fries. I would come back just to have their waffle fries.

I have to say one of the best Korean fried chicken in Vancouver. My friend told me the exact same thing and I agree with her. The chicken wing meat remained moist and juicy after deep frying. I was greet with friendly and smiling staffs. They even offer us a free mango shave ice to try. It was so good. Big chunks of mango. It is something I would order on my next visit! Highly recommend! I looked up that they only have one location. Hope that they will open up a location in Richmond in the future too!

The flavor of food is more on a heavier end. The shrimp pasta is very tasty with strong garlic flavor. The pork cutlet sandwich also worth a try because their pork cutlet is very thick but tender at the same time.

It's a coincidence that I often buy it at Asian outlets in Taiwan, and I got it again in Canada. This will be my favorite place while living in Vancouver. This place has true old school diner vibes. I’m certain it used to be two separate spots, but they tore the walls down and combined donuts, sandwiches, and fried chicken. This is definitely a value-eat location in Vancouver. It’s consistently busy and you’ll see people that are regulars who know everyone by name, curious people (like me) who want to see what all the hype is about, students, young families, and everything in between. Value wise? It’s definitely good value for what you get. For fried chicken, if you aren’t interested in fries, it’s cheaper to just get more pieces of chicken. Their donuts are a little on the greasy side, but solid flavor and freshness. I can see why it’s a local favorite, they offer cheap and decent eats, and their food is prepared quick and ready for you. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area and looking for a donut or some fried chicken. As for me, I’ll be back to try some of the other donuts, but you can’t go wrong with an apple fritter!

First time here and everything was delicious! The sandwiches were very flavourful and juicy on good soft bread. The fries have a light batter on them with made them very crispy. We also tried the fried chicken, which was super tender and moist I side with a flavourful seasoning on the skin, the spicy had more flavor and we really enjoyed it. THE DONUTS OMG!! The BEST donuts I've ever had in Vancouver! They are so pillowy soft, like an actual cloud! The powdered banana cream donut was so delicate and the dough was so so soft it was crazy how good it was! I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out if you're ever in the area, they aren't fancy or trying impress with their interior design and they don't need to, the food speaks for itself and it's honestly really nice to be in an older style restaurant like this, no fanfare, just good, honest, food.

Has to try this Vancouver institution. It has such an honest feeling about it. Unchanged and authentic. Had a great steak roll. Resisted the donuts which look excellent. Everyone who was eating around me looks super happy. I will come again.

After a year of driving by Duffin’s every week & hearing nothing but good things, my girlfriend and I decided to give them a try; we were NOT disappointed!!! We got the three piece chicken meal & the Machaca Torta. The chicken was deliciously crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. Also, for fast food chicken, it wasn’t overly greasy like what you might get at other places. The fries are definitely overrated. They were everything you’d want in fast food fries: crispy, salty (not too salty), and delicious! Lastly the torta was the star of the show. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the lettuce & tomato went perfectly with it. Not to mention the sauce rounded all the flavours off and complimented the whole meal. I only had 2 points of improvement: I wish it was larger, and I wish they toasted the buns, but maybe they can if you specifically ask for it. If you get anything at Duffins, definitely get this! Lastly we got the assorted donut holes which was a great end to the meal! No complaints on the sweet treat :) Duffins Donuts gets 5 stars from me!

Chewie's Chicken & Biscuits – A Must-Visit! The food here was so good, I had to come back a second time—and it was just as incredible! The portions are generous without being overly heavy or greasy. The first time I visited, I waited over 30 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. Keep in mind, it’s a small spot with seating for about 20 people, so be patient—it pays off! Highly recommend the chicken biscuits made with white meat tenders and topped with their Canadian maple syrup—delicious! Don’t miss the French toast, gator tots, salad, bacon, and a mimosa to round out the meal. I'll definitely be back!

Hands down the best chicken spot in Vancouver. I’ve come here for brunch and dinner twice. Portions are amazing, and whatever they’re doing to the chicken make it feel so light and “clean” despite it obviously being fried chicken. Fries are immaculate, and the service is incredible. The prices are extremely fair, and is quite a bit of food even for a big guy. The staff have amazing personalities, and you can tell they take pride in the food that they put out. Would recommend this place to anyone

One of our favourite places for fried chicken and their biscuits are SO good! We’ve tried a few things on their menu and everything we’ve tried is really yummy. They have a fun backyard patio with a good amount of seating as well. Service was excellent, the owner was super nice and friendly - we’ll definitely be coming back again!

I had breakfast, ordered the hot momma Benny, with a side of salad. The meal was tasty throughout. The fried chicken was tender (but not crispy), the eggs perfectly runny, the biscuit crispy. The hot sauce was flavorful, just not actually spicy. The salad with the nut dressing was great too. All in all, a satisfying meal. I recommend you try it out.

I only had the fried chicken, but if they put biscuits in the restaurant name I'm gonna try it one day. Both the fries and the chicken were great, crispy batter and tender, juicy meat. Wish the chicken has spicy version. Their fries have a nice pre-seasoning that is not only salt, which made everything even better. I'm very happy with my lunch.

Unbelievably crispy & crunchy chicken! We got the black sauce boneless chicken and the flavour simply explodes in my mouth. We also ordered the chicken burger with fries and we were surprised by how thick the chicken patty is! Absolutely delicious and very filling.

Been wanting to try Le Coq Frit for s long time. Not sure why I never realized they were KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) - I guess I assumed they were a French restaurant due to the name. There isn't much seating here (only a few counter seats by the window). The menu is kinda limited. You pick the type of chicken you want and the flavor. We went for the Split Wings - Crispy ($18) ironically not as crunchy as original. Also got the Thighs Original Black ($18) these were very crunchy, like they were encased in a savory sweet coating. I liked the thighs the most. We also got a Fentiman's Rose Lemonade ($5) and an order of Onion Rings ($7.5) the rings were very good with a light batter but super crunchy.

the chicken was incredibly thick, flavourful, and juicy — it tastes exactly as it looks like in the picture. the exterior was fried super well, with the crunchy skin containing the juiciness and heat of the meat. the outside was lathERED in sweet and spicy sauce, which actually wasn’t really that spicy but also wasn’t overpoweringly sweet; it was perfect and SO ADDICTING. lying on top of the chicken was a hefty bed of crunchy, mild coleslaw that was perfect against the heavy flavour of the sweet and spicy sauce, and there was a nice acidity given by the pickles. the bun contained all the ingredients surprisingly well, so it wasn’t even that messy! the fries were excellent, they were crispy and greasy and the really good kind (kind of like the costco ones). they were also seasoned really well, they didn’t really need any dipping sauce (although the jalapeño dip added a nice kick and switched up the flavour!) the croffle was really extraordinary though — the dough was SOOO soft and perfectly chewy, with just a hint of oiliness. DEFINITELY GET THIS ! i think it would’ve been so good with some fried chicken.

The service is really nice, and although we’ve tried everything and only like the classic chicken burger, I love this place for its consistency. We usually order takeout every other Friday, and it’s always the same good chicken.

Burger was huuuugeeeee I expected the chicken to be spicier and it was a bit dry in the middle, not as crispy as I’d like but the service was lovely!! Great employees very friendly, hardworking and attentive! The garlic sauce was also lovely. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken and felt like it was lacking in heat but overall decent for amount you get. Just wish chicken was crunchier, more moist and there was more sauce in the actually burger.

Everything tasted so good and fresh, and the food was beautiful! The workers were so kind as well. I also love that they have the option for yam fries instead of regular fries if you prefer!

The food here is not bad, it's also not great, it's comfort fast food that is halal. The fried chicken is my favourite I only ate a piece and felt like I gained 5 plbs LOL. The rice pilaf is pretty solid, I would have that with chicken and coleslaw. The jalapeño bombers are quite cheesy not my fav. Service is alright the girl there works hard, ambiance is fast food vibes

They food is definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Service can be a bit slow at times but it's because they are busy and makengreat food. The staff are always nice.

1st time visit after hearing, 'it's good,' ordered the double BeWafa burger and it resembled something a drunk uncle would make! Although the beef was spiced nicely, the patties where dry, the teaspoon of shredded lettuce was wilted, no cheese, no tomato [as shown on their sidewalk stand], saturated in sauce AND although the sign reads $10.99 I was charged the posted price above the register at $11.99!!! Advised the cashier and it was simply an exercise in futility. The prices are rather cheap based on the quality of the ingredients, hence - you get what you pay for. Respectfully, I hope the filthy conditions of the front of the house don't extend to the kitchen. This fast food joint is best suited for the tourist yet as a local, it's a hard pass.

A friend recommend us to try their Nashville Billo special sandwich. I was walking by and figured try this out. I ordered the Nashville Billo special and 2 thigh pieces (spicy and mild). The sandwich is really good. Good piece of chicken for the sandwich. Perfect crunch from the fried chicken and cooling effect from the coleslaw. Also regular spicy for the sandwich is good perfect hint of spiciness. Next time I would try more spicier sauce for the sandwich. I want to see how spicer the sandwich will be. The chicken thigh pieces is also good too. I think the spicier flavour is better than the regular. When you bite the chicken, you get that crispy chicken. I can see this place as a go to place for people to buy chicken and walk to the beach for a picnic. I highly recommend coming here for chicken especially Nashville Billo Special as it cost only 4 bucks.

We ordered through DoorDash and unfortunately, this just wasn’t a good experience for us. We got the 10-piece fried chicken, but it was overcooked and way too salty—the skin, which is usually my favorite part, was hard to enjoy. I was really looking forward to the gravy, but it didn’t hit the mark either. The fries were soggy, though I understand that can happen with takeout. Overall, nothing really stood out in a positive way. I’m honestly surprised by the high ratings. Maybe we just caught them on an off day and should give it another try. But for now, we didn’t enjoy the fried chicken, and we usually love fried chicken.

Service was amazing the lady at the cashier was super helpful, our food come on time and price is always affordable with big portion. My go to place whenever I crave not greasy fried chicken. The Texas bbq chicken is my new favourite! Their daily deals make it even cheaper..

Peak service. More than fast food. Like a true chicken restaurant, they offer many variations of chicken. They serve the best masala fries.

This was the worst service ever. Church’s is one of my favorite places, but the service at this location was really bad. The staff were unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. They didn’t even provide a tray for my meal while dining in. Additionally, they were speaking in another language in front of customers, which felt disrespectful. There was no teamwork among the staff, and they need to learn how to properly run a business.

Food was alright, the chicken and biscuits were a little stale as they had been made beforehand and left to rest. However this was around 11pm so it was understandable. Excellent cashier though, when I went up to get an Apple Pie, she told me it would be a 3-4 minute wait, but then another employee said we have one ready to give. The cashier immediately said make a fresh one, and it was great! Appreciated that without me asking for it.

The chicken is crispy and hot. The service is so so. It’s a fast food restaurant. Don’t expect anything more than that. I suggest taking it and to go. Definitely good for the late night after bar crowd.

First time going in, super clean restaurant/dining room. Very classic fast food feeling/vibe. Chicken strips were super juicy and flavourful, and quite a large portion. The oil was really clean, and food tasted really fresh. Staff was super friendly, and gave me a free dip. Will definitely be back. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good chicken place. Also, the Biscuit 11/10

Wonderful Food and Excellent Service! I had an amazing experience at this place. The food was delicious and well-prepared. Jashan at Church’s Chicken and he’s one of the nicest, sweetest people you’ll meet! He went out of his way to make sure the chicken was fresh and delicious. Great service and a genuinely kind person – made my visit even better!

There’s only one place for a good chicken, that’s Popeyes. This time I tried the Spicy Deluxe Chicken Sandwich and it was amazing! My friend told me about this and they liked it very much so I gave it a try. The chicken was thick, crunchy and flavorful. The bun was soft and yes, it was spicy 🌶️:) Love it! The store was big, they have plenty of seating area although I never saw this branch full with people. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were always nice and welcoming.. Will definitely go back here whenever I have craving for fried chicken or sandwiches.

I have been here several times before, however today I experienced amazing customer service by one of their team member, Sonia. She greeted me very preasantly with a great welcoming smile on her face. And took my order with so much patience. You made my day. I would like to give a huge shout out to you Sonia.

This Popeyes location never disappoints! The chicken is always crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Their wings are amazing and perfect, and the fries hit the spot every time. Friendly service and quick turnaround make it even better. Definitely my go-to spot for comfort food done right!

Very clean restaurant. I ordered online but i chose the west Vancouver location unfortunately, but the cashier Nav did great job, she prepared it here and i got my order here.

Way better than the location on Granville. Key word is "consistent". They clearly stick to the proper preparation procedures and it shows in the quality. The management know what they are doing.

Orders 940 and 939 0 stars I am a regular Popeyes customer but this visit was disappointing due to the unprofessional behavior of supervisor Jashanpreet K. When an Uber driver/customer arrived, she asked the cook how long the order would take. He said 5–10 minutes more and she loudly replied, “ Seriously You always have excuses for everything , in front of all the customers. The cook was working hard while the cashier laughed at the comment. I felt bad for cook. As a supervisor she should conduct meetings one on one with team members rather than disrespecting in front of everyone. My own order took 10–15 minutes after she told me 2 minutes. Instead of helping the cook, she criticized him. She was so damn slow. She also refused my request for extra dips, which has never been an issue at any other Popeyes location. Dip is not main concern the main issue is how she treated junior staff As a former General Manager of other big brands, I have never tolerated such treatment towards team members or customers. I hope management addresses this to maintain Popeyes’ service standards. Owners and managers should take care of this concern as you lost 4-5 customers instantly at this location. She messed up our good weekend mood and dinner. Poor customer service and poor supervisor skills.

Their soft serve ice cream is very nice. However, I believe that calling it anything close to a cream puff is slightly misleading. Overall, not bad. But it did not meet my expectation because I thought the crunchy top and bottom was going to be an actual puff pastry texture, which it was not. It was hard and crunchy.

I LOVED NUTZO!! And the cream puff was delicious. Tho my friends weren’t really happy with Violet B and Malteser. They believe the ice-cream texture needs some improvements. It’s a really cool experience. And the place is super nice and coze. AGAIN: beware of the seagulls🤣

The fish and chips are good for what it is, nothing special. The batter was light and crispy, but on the oily side. 1 meal fed two of us.

I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THE BEE'S KNEES PUFF CREAM! This might be one of the best desserts I've had in a loooong time. Do yourself a favor and stop by to try one of their puff creams. The Bee's Knees is a wonderful combination of a Chicago Mix of popcorn and a honey drizzle all topped off with a cream puff! Simply delicious.

Picked up a crispy chicken burger and it was not good. Not very crispy, pounded thin & mostly skin and fat. Could have been cooked another minute, also the oil tasted off, like seafood…

Good location. Lovely staff. Food missed the mark completely. I ordered the $42 1.5 lb lobster roll and it had about 2 tablespoons of lobster in it and some vegetable slaw stuff. Even the vegetable mixture added with the lobster I would say is not 1.5lbs. I bet something out of a grocery store deli would have hit better and I mean that wholeheartedly. It was the single worst food experience I have had this year. Flavour was not good, portion was extremely small/ not as advertised.

Extravagant, decadent amazing food! 🙌🏼💥😋 The chicken sandwich was still sizzling when they set it down. Great crunch, juicy thighs (😉), tasty sauces. Can't get better. Bulgogi fries... 🤯 wow so good! The bulgogi is on point and the waffle fries are an excellent accompaniment! This is a go-to chicken spot if you are in the know. 👌🏼👍🏼 Great service too. 🙌🏼❤️🇰🇷 And they have beer. 😅🍻🍺

This place slaps. The chicken is super well cooked, juicy, and with a thick satisfying crust. It's not doused in mystery spice powder that overwhelms you, it's saucy and the slaw is really refreshing and crunchy. The buns are tasty, fries are decent, love me some waffle fries personally. This place has a happy hour deal in between 3-5 pm as well that make the reasonable prices a genuine steal. At that point it becomes cheaper than some chain fast food places for the equivalent calories. Staff were nice and place was clean and well maintained. Really not much else to say, when it comes to fried chicken sandwiches, I think this is the best in Vancouver. Will be coming again.

Some of the best friend chicken i’ve had in years. The honey butter maple syrup was a favourite for sure. The waffle yam fries were good, could have used a thicker salt though kind of bland. All in all amazing dinner!

Truly one of the best fried chicken spots in town. Just a heads-up: their hours are a bit different from other places, so make sure to check before you go. You won’t regret it!

Honey garlic chicken and waffles was absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of spicy and sweet heat. The yam fries were super crispy as well which is a rare find. Staff were extremely welcoming. This is my new favorite chicken spot!

I really wanted to love this place, especially as someone from Texas who's been missing that classic hot chicken. I ordered the hot chicken bowl and the chicken & waffles, and while the portions were generous, the flavor just didn't hit the way I hoped. The chicken was dry-spiced rather than sauced, which some people might prefer, but for me, it lacked the bold, juicy heat I associate with good hot chicken. The waffle was fine, but nothing particularly memorable, and overall, the meal didn't quite satisfy the craving I had going in.

They’re quite a cheery bunch in here and have excellent service. However, I feel that the mainstays of this chicken joint, which are chicken burgers and waffle fries, leave something to be desired. It’s not about the spices or the brioche bun or fresh cabbage, but I just feel that the chicken is overly battered and oily. The fries were more chewy than crunchy. Great location on Denman Street but I’ll continue my search for a better place

Both pizzas had thin, crispy crusts, with sauces perfectly balanced — not too salty or greasy, making it irresistible bite after bite. The braised steak was tender and flavorful, while the fried chicken had a crispy coating with juicy meat inside. The beef tartare was also a delightful treat. What is more…. the Argentine red prawns, prepared in an East-meets-West style, were wonderfully cooked, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to the meal. The chocolate dessert was super rich but not too sweet — so good! I personally think their food is absolutely amazing — not a single dish disappoints.

I have been quite a fan of this restaurant for many years. It being the more casual location for Hawksworth (one of my fave) really builds up to its reputation. My fave of all time is the spicy pizza with Spianata Salumi. I liked the butter fried chicken. I did order the lobster pasta. It was a bit overpriced at $60 for what it is. It was decent offering. Slight acidity to the flavor and rich. I normally not a big fan of richer creamy style sauces on pasta and only for that reason I won’t order it again. A lot of people will love it. Notable to mention is the excellent Happy Hour menu. I posted some photos of the menu.

Before our trip to Vancouver, when we were looking up places to visit, we came across Nightingale Restaurant. Today, when we came here for lunch, we realized all those great reviews were absolutely correct . We ordered Japanese sweet potato and fried chicken as appetizer, both were generous in portion and incredibly delicious. For the main course, we had the spaghetti with jalapeño, which was amazing and truly the restaurant’s signature dish. Also, Elena was very kind and helped us with great recommendations, making our experience even better.

We celebrated my sister's birthday at Nightingale a couple of months ago. It was our first time back after several years. Once again, it was fantastic. We also spotted a Hollywood actor shortly after being seated which added to our night! Service was great throughout. I really appreciated the sommelier taking his time to understand our preferences and recommending a bottle that paired well with the dishes we ordered. In fact, we've since picked up a couple bottles of that same wine. In terms of food, all the dishes were great. My favourites were (in no particular order): (1) handmade english pea & ricotta capunti, (2) Nova Scotia lobster spaghetti, and (3) carrot cake. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

I love nightingale! It is a great restaurant that goes otherwise unnoticed from the outside. It’s a two level dining masterpiece and perfect for date night or girls night. Their fried chicken and pickles is my personal favourite. It’s share style so they encourage multiple dishes for the table instead of one per person. We also got the cappicolo pizza and Brussel sprouts. Pizza was good but I may opt for different toppings next time as my partner got to choose the flavour this time. Brussel sprouts were to die for - I wish there were more and less green onions haha. The pop is not refillable so just heads up on the $4/glass as the waitress said “can I bring you a refill” instead of “would you like to order another glass”.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner. We sat at the Chef’s Table and really enjoyed the experience. Surprisingly it was much quieter than the rest of the dining room and we found it very fascinating to get to watch the kitchen. Every dish we ordered was delicious and our server Megan and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly. Lastly, the carrot cake….so good.

So so good. The fried chicken and Japanese sweet potatoes were delicious. Good selection of beer. Nice decor and the service was impeccable. Fair pricing, especially given the sevice and quality of food.

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Truly a creative and well-executed menu and the level of detail was immaculate. The space is smaller than we thought it would be on the inside but it made for a more intimate experience. Also appreciated how there was ample space between tables - I dislike when I feel part of the conversation next to me. Service was attentive and professional as expected but nothing out of the ordinary. Only removing one star as there were a couple of courses that weren’t bad by any means but were also not memorable. However, the courses that were good were VERY good. A special mention for their bread! We were very tempted to ask for another round but we weren’t sure if that was something they would accommodate. Our favourites were the Cheeseburger 2050, the Seafood Lottery, and the cacio e pepe in Don’t Steal the Bunny. The dessert courses were both incredible. I will say though that being served treats on the bottom of a shoe (albeit fake) was a little off-putting, but it didn’t take away from the taste. Cocktails were also good, we tried three different ones and even ordered one of them again. Definitely not an affordable dinner at $150 per person for the set menu alone, but I can confidently say it was worth it and that the price wouldn’t deter me from returning. Would love to return for the next version of their menu.

This was our first michelin experience, and boy was it a fun and interesting dining. AnnaLena has a set menu, and we opted for the more expensive caviar and wagyu upgrade. Dishes started great and eventually got a bit too heavy and savory towards the main. I wish there was a break between the savory dishes with perhaps a refreshing and light salad dish. That would have been a solid 5 stars. The service and atmosphere was however top notch. Desserts were very delicious as well. Highly recommended for a special night out with your loved ones.

Celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at AnnaLena and had an amazing dinner! Got the wine pairing and it honestly made up a huge part of the experience, would 100% recommend. The service was truly exquisite, the timing of everything was just perfect. Shoutout to our server James, who was extremely knowledgeable about every course and wine he was serving. The only thing that was a let down was the 4th course (zucchini sticks), neither of us felt it was comparable to the other courses. My boyfriend couldn’t even finish half of it. My personal favourite bits were the charcoal pork pluma in the 3rd course, the corn puree in the 6th course, and the 5th course as a whole! Overall, very pricey but worth a try!

Amazing dinner and experience! Highly recommend the wine pairing with your meal. We very much enjoyed our dinner here at AnnaLena! It was a fun and whimsical menu that was delightful. To our surprise the meal would start with a twist on a cheese hamburger. We were questioning why the meal would start with such a strong flavor profile... But the wine pairing and everything else that came after made it work magically. They kept us on the toes from the beginning to the end. Kudos to the staff and chefs! Be forewarned the flash on the Polaroid camera 📸 is very bright (inside sneak peek to a surprise (if you are celebrating something).

Amazing food and service. Easily one of the BEST dining experiences I've had (not just in Vancouver but overall). Each dish was complex but perfectly executed and very well balanced in terms of flavors. Each dish left me craving for more. AnnaLena is worthy of their Michelin star. I'll definitely be back.

We went here for an anniversary dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, the front lady was very hospitable and warm, offering to take our coats and provided me with a purse hanger for the table. Our server, T then came, introduced himself and said he would come back to take drink orders and explain the menu to us, but was preoccupied socializing with the table next to us for a good 10-15 minutes while we were left waiting to order drinks. The food was decent, the appetizers (especially the bread and temperature gradient [quite surprising as I've never ranked vegetables high]) and the cryocookie dessert were outstanding, but the savoury/meat dishes were average at best, with the lamb being incredibly disappointing that I couldn't even finish it. Our server spent most of his time with the table next to us, chatting up a storm, which was rather distracting. Most dishes were actually brought by a different server than T as he was busy chatting away, the other table next to us was mostly ignored as well, as T was at his preferred table. Overall, decent, but not worth the price, and not on par of other Michelin restaurants.

First time eating at a Michelin star restaurant and was not disappointed. Every course of the tasting menu is a creative combination of flavours I’d never imagine together, or an innovative take on traditional flavours through presentation. Come hungry because you will be stuffed by the end of your meal!

I had a fantastic dine-in experience at Nando’s 3 days ago! The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had that vibrant Nando’s vibe we all love. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—juicy chicken with just the right amount of spice, crispy sides, and delicious sauces that kept us coming back for more. Service was quick, but never rushed, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Overall, a perfect combination of great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend Nando’s for anyone craving tasty peri-peri chicken done right!

..we came here after work feeling very hungry and tired. We were so satisfied with the food. It not only tastedd very good but also the serving was so big. But what made our experience special (it was actually my first time here) was the accommodating staffs. Kris and Con are very friendly and always serving with smiles on their faces...great food and greater staffs..We will surely come back here.

Nandos is the perfect blend of rich flavours and the feel of a home cooked meal. I didn’t realize until tonight that they had wine, which made this half chicken medium spice with peri fries and coleslaw exactly what the doctor ordered. When travelling, I choose Nandos 👍

I encouraged my family to try during our vacation. It was so good that I ordered more to go (discreetly). I can’t think of one item that wasn’t great. Service was 10/10 as well.

My friends and I came here for the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Oilers and Panthers thinking it would be an interesting experience and it definitely didn't disappoint. Great music choices and when the games started, they maximized the volume for the game. Other than the game, I was here for food. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich with fries and shared yam fries and chicken littles. The Chicken sandwich was great offering great balanced flavors, seasoning, and crunch from the lettuce. Fries are nice and crisp, not too greasy, and there was a good amount. Presentation was pretty good for what it was. Chicken littles offered a bite of chicken for those who simply want to try and don't want to order a chicken sandwich. Perfect with the honey mustard dip, served with a bed of fries. Yam fries was amazing as well. Although a bit soggy, they were extremely flavorful, and paired up with the aioli perfectly offering a balanced sweet and savory combination. I also had a beer and their green tea shots. A Heineken tasted like a Heineken and the green tea shots were nice as well. I don't know if they should be called green tea shots because they didn't taste like tea but more towards a melon. Still very tasty in my opinion My final thoughts for this place is yes it is busy due to the NHL game, but the food was amazing as well. Definitely an unforgettable experience as the waiters and waitresses who served us were awesome. Food was great and would definitely come back for the Chicken Sandwich and Yam fries. Overall would recommend friends and family to come here for an amazing experience. I would come back again hungry for more!

Whenever we have friends visiting from out of town, we bring them to Score to try their crazy Caesars. I'm not usually a big fan of Caesars, but I have to say, theirs are pretty good! The service was fast, and our server was friendly.

Amazing Food, came for brunch made it back to the apartment for the best nap ever! Clint is an absolute gent he really is awsome. Great thanks giving weekend. Its a must try on repeat!!

Pleasant enough eatery and drinking stop. Small menu, fast food, some cocktails. Particularly liked the Sugar Daddy, ceasar salad was very good with chicken, no anchovies though 😞. Server was very nice and remembered my drink from the previous day.

Sunny Saturday at the patio, great vibes and excellent staff, we ordered a smash hamburger with truffle fries and it was so tasty!, the tuna bowl on the other hand not interesting at all and bland, long island and draft beer 👌🏻 so refreshing.

Disappointing.. Food wasn't good.. burger was blah, fries were blah. The drink looked cool but was really mostly ice. It's a given the place will be loud. What's worse, the amount they charge for these items, too much for what they serve ya. Not going back (unless someone is buying my meal lol) 😑

I love this place and the food is tasty the but food is insanely expensive. We got a kid sized plate of fries and 4 chicken fingers for $18. Bruh. Give me adequate damn tenders or at least medium sized fries, or get out. HAND FOR SCALE. Bad vibes.

When I arrived, it took few minutes for anyone to acknowledge, despite the restaurant being less than half full. The hostess eventually told me she’d come shortly, but ended up waiting few more minutes. When she finally came over, she mentioned that patio tables still needed to be cleaned, which was fine, but I then waited another 5–10 minutes outside for the table to be ready. After being seated, drinks came quickly, which was nice. However, meals arrived very late, I ordered the Mighty Burger. I don’t have an exact time since I was chatting, but it was long enough for the server to come over and let us know the food was still being prepared. As for the food itself: the burger was tasty but quite average, and in my opinion not worth the price. The portion of fries was surprisingly small, and the sauce came in a small paper cup like the ones used for ketchup at fast food places. For the price point, I expected more generous portions and a more elevated presentation. To be fair, I was sort of full at the end. I didn’t try the appetizers, though the photos online looked appealing before my visit. Unfortunately, between the slow service, long wait times, and the overall value for money, I personally would not recommend this place, especially if you’re coming from out of the area. It’s not somewhere I would return to.

Stopped in for brunch as we were in the immediate area. Some tough choices had to be made but we decided upon the Bacon Benedict and the Chicken and Waffles. The thick cut slab of bacon was really flavorful, so made not choosing the Breakfast Sandwich palpable /s. Really enjoyed the slightly spicy sauce on the waffles (guessing gochujang mayo) and the fact they used breast meat for the fried chicken. Great crispy thin batter, too.

My favorite things here are definitely the nachos and the smash burgers—they’re unreal. The Korean ribs are amazing too. I’ve been coming since they opened, not as often as I’d like, but I truly love this place. Can’t wait to come back again!

My daughter LOVES this place. They have a few (token) arcades that are always a hit, even for a short play, the atmosphere is friendly, food is great, drinks are great, and staff is great! But tonight they were so amazing I just had to write a review. I showed up with my daughter for a mother-daughter dinner. The place was packed because of an important baseball game, and my daughter was super disappointed we could not sit down as planned. I think Alicia, who welcomed us, figured it out. She managed to find us a perfect comfy-cozy spot so we could have our ‘date night’ there after all. She even gifted a few tokens to my kid so she could have fun right away! The food was hot and delicious. Our server Josh was so awesome: friendly, enthusiastic, he went out of his way to ensure we were happy. On such a busy night, I was really impressed with their level of client service. We live nearby, and this visit made us want to go on our special dates more regularly - at B&W! Thank you guys!

Lots of great gluten free options, I’m celiac- they have a separate fryer. Came with a big group last night with no reservation and they were very accommodating. Samantha was very conscientious and gave us all lots of info and was super nice, and served our whole table, we were in and out and changing seats but she didn’t seem stressed at all even though we showed up with like 20+ people on a random Tuesday lol. Props to her, she’s a great server.

Bells & Whistles Fraser is such a fun spot! The drinks are creative, flavorful, and expertly crafted, and the menu has plenty of unique options to try. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming — a great place to hang out with friends or try something new. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of what they offer!

I’ve been coming here for many years and found them consistently tasty…especially their signature Hainanese Chicken. Portions are good and prices haven’t drastically changed. Same “gritty” hole-in-the-wall great eating experience as before. Love it!

We did not expect the restaurant is so dated and simple when we walked in. We were greeted promptly to be seated. Two pages menu and we ordered three dishes. The free range chicken and chicken fat rice are delicious. The one person portion chicken only has the chicken breast (white meat). I can image the chicken thigh would be even more flavourful. The roti with curry beef is the best dish. Insanely tasty. The prawn fried noodles are quite salty. They have many takeout orders and too busy to refill our tea/water. If you are looking for tasty food and don’t care much about the service, atmosphere and ambience, this is the place!

Prata-Man is a family owned, casual Singaporean restaurant in Richmond, BC, famous for its Hainanese chicken rice and other Malaysian and Singaporean dishes. It is a popular spot for authentic flavors like curry beef rendeng, satay, and roti prata. This location has been here for many years. When you enter the restaurant it’s nothing impressive. It’s a restaurant for the locals who are there primarily for the quality of food. They have mastered their craft and I can see why this place exists for so long. This place is a must try on your Richmond list of eats. Every serious foodie I know has been here and have returned numerous times for the fair prices and good quality meals. It’s unpretentious with a "hole-in-the-wall" charm.

Delicious food at a very affordable price! We tried the Fried Prawn Noodle, the Curry Chicken Rice, and the Curry Fish Balls. The noodle was okayish in my view, but the curries were too good! The portions were decent too.

This spot is a classic hole in the wall. The food was affordable, came pretty quick and was sooo good. The beef rengdeng and skewers were delicious, strongly recommend checking this place out for a bite. The portions are decent as well so bring Tupperware, otherwise you can ask for to go containers for a couple bucks.

Food is bad. Overrated. The chicken has no taste and rough. Rice is dull. The beef curry is loaded with potatoes and watery. Price is too high consider its quality and atmosphere. Do NOT recommend this restaurant.

glad i found this place, it’s definitely the best chicken rice i’ve had outside of singapore. it’s a hole-in-the-wall spot near capstan skytrain station. service was fast and efficient giving you that real singapore experience lol. i ordered a regular chicken rice set for 1 and the lady behind the counter brought it to me like barely 1 minute later, i was amazed. the set came with a generous portion of chicken, a small bowl of soup, as well as the chilli sauce and minced ginger and spring onion. the chicken was perfect, the meat was tender and served cold. only complaint i can think of for the whole experience was that the chilli sauce was kind of watery. but still was really good.

Today is Sunday Easter and my friend and I came to try this Malaysian Restaurant. We had Fried Chicken, Sando, Chicken with Rice and Roti. The Sando was so delicious with the chicken so tasty and the sauce was amazing. The fried chicken was average. I didn’t like the chicken with rice. It tasted overcooked and with a lack of taste. We needed to add a lot of Chilli Sauce. The roti was ok, nothing special and the curry sauce wasn’t good. The environment and the service are great though.

Food is good but a bit on the heavy seasoning side. Brussel sprout has a sprinkle of pork floss. Chicken wing with salted egg yolk was okay maybe should try fish sauce next time. Scallop mee is a bit spicy and ingredients didn't mesh as well as other dishes. Char guei taw was very tasty. Decor is very cute and plenty of Asian sauces to remind me of the cuisine they represent.

honestly was not expecting much coming in, but potluck hawker eatery surpassed my expectations at EVERY turn. first of all, the chicken nasi goreng was phenomenal. every grain of rice was an explosion of flavour—it reminds me of the fried rice i’ve had in taiwan. the gai lan added a nice crunch in between bites and the salty chicken complemented the peppery rice. i also loved how the rice was steaming the whole time, that’s EXACTLY how fried rice should always be served. the may feature, the lechonator burger was also really special. i’ve tried the burger from their sister restaurant, street hawker, before and i didn’t enjoy it THAT much, so i wasn’t expecting much from this, but it was actually really good. the beef patty was a little bit dry, but the lechon was super fatty and added a really nice salty punch to the burger. i also thought the slightly tangy atchara made a really good pairing with the rest of the flavours. the shaker fries it came with was really crispy, hot, and was subtly seasoned with their salty curry powder. finally, the milo roti was the perfect treat to end the meal. the roti itself was so thick , chewy, and flaky , like it was perfectly made. the condensed milk wasn’t too sweet at all, so you didn’t feel sick or anything after eating it. my oNLY note is that i would recommend using different paper for plating the food?? because you can kind of taste the paper / print while you’re eating, and that kinda mars the otherwise masterfully crafted symphony of flavours in each dish.

With a brightly lit colorful cafe sized joint , the super friendly staff is serving up deliciousness . They have monthly specials . I loved the Brussels sprouts and egg plants . You’ll drool over the roti Chan with curry sauce . The wings were crispy. I hope to make it back when I am in town again

I had some expectations for this place, but the food we tried was very disappointing. The Laksa lacked flavor and toppings—it was honestly the worst Laksa I’ve had in Vancouver. The Sambal Eggplant was okay, but it felt like it could’ve been better seasoned since the eggplant tasted a bit bland. The Crispy Pata was also disappoing. The skin was very crispy, but the meat inside was so dry that I didn’t want more than one bite. Thankfully, the Salted Egg Popcorn Chicken was fine. I enjoyed the chicken and the yum yum sauce. The atmosphere was nice, but since I had to order at the counter and considering the prices, it was definitely not worth the visit

I saw that Cream Pony had donuts and fried chicken and had to stop by! I tried the Pink Pony donut and it was really good, the frosting was a bit too sweet for my liking but good nonetheless. The donut also is served in this really cute little brown paper bag. ☺️ I also tried the fried chicken and it was just okay. The batter was too thick and quickly all came off after my first bite. Try the fried chicken but stay for the donuts.

We finally made it! My partner and I love chicken sandos so of course we had to try one @ Cream Pony. The highlight was the juicy chicken - YUM! Light batter, tasty sauce, and we love a potato bun. The restaurant is a little tricky to find for first timers so definitely pay attention to the details in their Google description! It is alley-facing, with parking right outside. While we were there the restaurant had a really strong oil smell, maybe just coincidence? Overall we were happy to finally try Cream Pony! Next time - doughnuts!!

I have been working on the area for quite a few years and have tried their donuts a few times. The apple fritter is absolutely my favorite. I originally wanted to order the lunch bag special ($17)online and do a pickup, but got confused when they had to charge $.50 more for the bun, but when I got to the store the menu said $17.50. Overall the experience was good. A little bit of a wait when I ordered there, so next time I would order ahead. The Cajun chicken burger was spicy (it wasn't just a little kick for me). Next time I would try the classic. The chicken in the burger was huuuger, with a big slice of cheese and a jalapeño. I got the half and half lemonade/iced tea, which was refreshing. Also came with a donut, I chose the apple fritter. All for $17.50! I thought it was quite reasonable. Lady there was super nice as well. Would want to go back and try other stuff as well.

Chicken sandwiches are amazing, donuts are even better! Small place, but enough for about 10 people to sit. You definitely want to eat the chicken hot. The hot Nash was HOT! Enjoyed it, but I think I might drizzle next time instead of dunk. The spice combination is truly unique. I could not believe the size of the sandwiches! I only wish you could make a chicken/donut combo instead of the other savory sides. The donuts were just perfection, can't wait to try more flavours. Will definitely be back.

Wanted to try this place for a while, got there. Not a ton of seating, need to stand to order and they still ask for a tip. Asked what was in the combo and they said pick a drink and a side, so I ask for fried pickles and a coke. They have NO coke or Coke Zero or anything similar. So I had to get a coffee with my burger and warm water since the water station has no ice. I then see my receipt and they charged extra for the side which I was told was in the combo. The doughnuts tasted good but were overpriced at $4 after tax etc. The chicken burger had a good piece of chicken, but they put American cheese on it! This American cheese only belongs on beef burgers, not chicken burgers. You can see by the pic the presentation is obviously lacking. I would give 2 stars however the chicken itself was tasty and the doughnuts were decent too. Anyways, I was excited to try this place yet I feel like I was scammed on the prices and very limited drink options and then the audacity to also ask for a tip after they sneak extra charges in. Who wants a coffee with their spicy chicken burger?

Location is inside the alley so you should park in Lonsdale or 1st St or ... The store was very quiet and nicely decorated. We just try the doughnuts which were deliciously soft and decently big, a bit sweet thought which were perfect to pair with coffee. The lady who took our order was nicely warm and smiling.

It's definitely not worth your time to come here. It took 30 minutes for us to be served 4 pieces of fried chicken to go and 3 donuts and 2 pieces were burned. In addition the chicken pieces were so slim they couldn't possibly be prime cuts of meat. It's a better use of time and money to go to Churchs chicken and hit up tim Hortons. JUST DO NOT GO.

Great experience at this Popeyes unit. Sandwiches and chicken breasts were delicious and the fried pickles was amazing. Tried the new roasted garlic sandwich combo and it was a little bit excessively sauced/garlicky. Order took between 15 and 20 minutes to get ready, which is not exactly fast food, but it was worth the wait.

I used to be a big fan of Popeyes and would often go out of my way just to grab a meal from there. One of the things I enjoyed the most was their fries – perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. But what really had me hooked were the ghost pepper chicken wings. They were consistently crispy, mildly spicy with just the right kick, and incredibly juicy. It became one of my go-to comfort foods, and I would even recommend them to friends looking for a flavorful fast food option. However, I’ve noticed a decline in quality recently, especially with the ghost pepper wings. The wings are noticeably smaller than they used to be, and they just don’t have the same juicy tenderness I remember. Sometimes they even feel a bit overcooked or dry, which takes away from the experience. I understand that prices and portions can change over time, but it feels like the value for money has decreased. I really hope Popeyes can look into this issue – maybe by slightly increasing the portion size or adding an extra wing to the order. Loyal customers like me would really appreciate the consistency we used to love.

Decent fried chicken, very close to IKEA. We shared the 8 piece meal with biscuits. The biscuits were tasty. This set didn't come up with a drink so we got a 2L coke.

I had deluxe chicken sandwich meal with onion rings as side. It was very flavorful and tasty. The cashier also suggested me for strawberry and cream pie which is a shout-out dessert. Amazing experience overall.

Love the food here and come here often but today I came in and grabbed some nuggets and drove away, 20 mins later and I opened this honey mustard sauce that sure didn’t look healthy at all and I couldn’t find an expiry date on it or anything. Just careful with the sauces, kids can potentially eat thinking it’s fine but again, doesn’t look right to me.

Extremely satisfied with their service here. Staff are very nice and I got my order right away. I always crave their chicken here and also the mashed potatoes (so buttery and creamy). It was my first time trying their strawberry cream cheese pie and it was soooo good.

This was the Church's Chicken I grew up with. I have fond memories of grandma walking with my sister and I to this restaurant to pick up a box of fried chicken. The exterior has had a face-lift, but the inside layout has not changed. The booths are gone, and the framed picture of the audience eating Church's Chicken at the filming of Rocky is not there anymore. I picked up some fried chicken and fries. It's just how I remembered. I told my childhood story to my little one as we munched on the chicken tougher. Grandma would be happy to know I'm keeping the tradition alive.

Had a great experience at this location. Was greeted by Sobita at cash. I asked my food to be made fresh and she took the time to ensure that my order was freshly made. I didn’t mind waiting the 5 to 7 minutes at Alain. In the meantime she was friendly and very easy to talk to. It’s not often you meet people who have a friendly in nature and she’s definitely one of them. The staff are all very approachable and definitely a location I would return to. I would recommend asking what the promotions are before making your orders. Are there are often promotions that you could take advantage of they’re not listed in the ads.

Location is currently take only. Don't like the walk up window as much as the full counter service. I wasn't able to order a spicy chicken breast, only regular, and there was no root beer. My companion ordered a 3 piece combo and he was able to substitute gravy for his drink (which some other locations seem unable to do) & 2 jalapeños. We took it to the park to eat. My Honey Bicuit was tiny and my breast was smaller than his thigh but it all tasted good. Prefer Church's over the other quick chicken places but we've noticed how it differs from location to location. This one is pretty good and I hope they reopen the dine in seating.

Cheap chicken that does the trick. Would never leave a review on a place like this as you pay for what you get of course. But just wanted to highlight how shockingly rude the staff are! They look newer too, i don’t recognize them working there any more than 1-2 months. They’re really so beyond rude and honestly make me feel uncomfortable to a point. I won’t be going again. Very strange vibes and honestly are the rudest staff I think I’ve ever come across. The chicken here is fried hot, crispy and very delicious, the parking lot is convenient, but the order staff forgot my order 3 times including coke, sauce and salad and there is no hand sanitizer here.

We just ordered with Uber Eats, it was our first experience. Since I didn't know how many chickens would come, we ordered 2 types, when the meal is arrived looked like its for 4 people, huge portions. We were incredibly full, we couldn't even eat 5-6 pieces. And the taste was legendary. It is clear that the chicken is fresh. I liked it very much, I would definitely order it again, the hot chicken is really spicy 🌶️ 🧨

Very delicious Korean fried chicken. We ordered a bunch of different plates. It was very filling. Loved the cheese fries they were very delicious and the cheese corn. Favorite chicken by far was the soy glazed one, very tasty and crispy. Good service and location in Vancouver, would come back again.

The food is very good. And overall affordable. The big problem would be, the customer service, the guy who served us was very intolerant, like fed up of his job or life, I don't know. Not even a HELLO!, He didn't introduce the menu to us. He took the receipt away after I asked for my receipt. You know guys... like fed up of everything. I don't know what was his problem but, we believe this is not a way to represent a company. Specially, the food is very good, don't bring the company down for a stupid attitude. You don't know how many people would like to be on your position, many people doesn't have the chance to work, but you do. Be grateful.

Went on a Friday night and there were tables available. The restaurant was dim with little string lights. There is a mix of regular tables and tall tables. The music was K pop while we were there. Pretty good vibe. Menus are clear and made ordering fun. We liked the chicken chart! The three of us ordered Rose Tteokbokki, a plate of Honey Garlic Fried Chicken and Shrimp Menbosha. The Tteokbokki was a nice chewy slightly spicy creamy version with sausage. Good amount of sauce. The chicken was smaller than we had previously but very nicely done. Not oily. Perfect amount of doneness and sauce. The menbosha was something we tried for the first time. You got to choose a dipping sauce (ours was spicy mayo). It was six squares of toast and shrimp sandwiches. Was a fun sharing appetizer. Yummy! We will be back!

Very tasty food and friendly service. I ordered H/H boneless fried chicken. It was so good. I love the white snow and spicy garlic soy chicken, With Sapporo beer and rice wine. Oh, the Bossam was excellent too! I really enjoyed my food today!

My family and I enjoyed fried chicken at this place. Besides the fried chicken, we also ordered budaejjige (army soup) and it turned out nice as well (although they don’t add cheese in there as I would expect). The restaurant is a but small but it has a good-old Korean restaurant vibe which I kind of enjoy. The service was also good. The foods toke a bit of time to make but not too bad. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Me and a group of people decided to go after people in our group said how good the food was. Once you enter you are welcomed to a warm and comforting atmosphere with staff ready to help you with ordering. Me and my group got their Korean Fried Chicken and Tabokie. The chicken was juicy, tasty, and all the food we ordered tasted fresh. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. One of the staff had told us about people coming in and giving it one star reviews without even giving it a chance and it pains me to see such an incredible downtown spot to eat not being appreciated enough. I will definitely come back here and I highly recommend it.

This place is terrible, far from its old glory days after new ownership. We ordered the seafood pancake and what was served looked vastly different from the picture from the menu. We shared our concern with the waiter and he went to the back and grabbed the owner (a Chinese lady). The owner became very defensive about her food and kept claiming that she uses “real seafood” and other Korean restaurants don’t. We were literally saying that they were missing the toppings (radish, arugula, lemon). She went on to lecture us about her origin and how much she respects the Korean culture, how she doesn’t care about bad reviews, and the reviews are fake and she’s suing people. She also went on and started assuming our group’s ethnicity and made some comments about it for 15 minutes. The experience was truly uncomfortable and awful. Would not come here again. To the owner: People provide feedback so you can improve on your quality, don’t take it offensively and instead learn from it. 最後，請不要輕易去猜測人家的國籍背景，這可不關你的事。管好自己就行了。

This used to be my favorite spot for good Korean chicken. The last time I went I was really let down because the food quality dropped. I ordered the half-and-half boneless chicken, but when we tried it, we were surprised. One half was tasteless, the other was over-seasoned and the chicken was soggy, not crunchy at all. We also got sweet and spicy squid, and it was just as disappointing as the chicken. In the end, the soup we ordered was sadly the best part of our meal and it was just okay. I won't be coming back here again. Time to find a new place for Korean chicken. :(

I enjoyed their Poutine, crispy golden fries, fresh cheese curds, and rich house-made gravy. Comfort food at its finest, served hot and satisfying every time. Paired with their friendly staff , someone called Jim was really cool & had great suggestions and served me some crispy spicy chicken as well . Highly recommended.

Chickens are decent size. Skin is extra crispy! Meat is juicy. Fries are ok. Mac and cheese bites aren't that great. Jalapeños poppers are ok. Cinnamon churro bites were really tasty but maybe overly fried.

HiFive Chicken is likely up there with all the best fried chicken in Vancouver. No need to go further anymore. The meat is juicy and tasty while the skin is crispy. $13 for a 2-piece combo is a grear deal!

I ordered two regular-sized portions of popcorn chicken through DoorDash, and I found a metal staple embedded on the surface of one of the chicken pieces. While the restaurant responded with an apology and offered me a complimentary 3-piece chicken meal, I honestly find that response insufficient for a food safety issue of this seriousness. A free meal doesn’t make up for the risk this posed to my health. I hope the restaurant takes this incident seriously and implements better safety checks.

The 3 piece tenders special for Thursday was really disappointing. Overfried to the point that it is extremely dry and flavorless. The poutine was ok, but only had a small amount of gravy.

I drive by this location every night on the way home and never stopped by. To be honest I had some poor service at the marine drive location so thought it’ll be the same here. The customer service here was pleasant (even got some complimentary Mac and cheese nuggets as I waited … nice touch!) the chicken was delicious but a bit more expensive than I expected . Overall, I’m happy I came in for my late night fried chicken craving !!

First time having Mary Brown's... ordered the 9pc Feast (half and half) with taters, gravy, and coleslaw. Then added 6pc wings soy garlic and a small mac and cheese. The chicken is not as crispy as Church's. The coating is flatter and closer to shake and bake coating (but in a good way). The chicken is handcut, whole chicken pieces so you get breast, thigh, wing, and drumstick. The spicy version is aggressively seasoned and the heat builds as you eat more (I probably prefer the original version more). The breast piece isn't as juicy but the thigh is juicy. They don't need such a large box of tater wedges. They are a bit dry and hardish in texture. The coleslaw is pretty good and the mac and cheese is ok but on the saucy side. Good soy garlic wings but it was drenched in sauce similar to Korean style chicken. Thick gravy. Not bad and much better than Popeyes but I would say there are better chicken places in town.

Had a really great dine-in experience at Mary Brown’s Chicken! The place was clean, the service was quick and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavour. The sides were fresh and tasty too, especially the taters. Everything was served hot and made fresh to order, which made the meal feel even more special. Overall, a very good experience and I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

A Fantastic Experience at Mary Brown's I had a truly wonderful visit to Mary Brown's Chicken. The atmosphere was incredibly nice and welcoming, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Awesome spot for fried chicken - some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. Wasn’t oily, well seasoned, fries were so good as well as the sauces. The owners were very friendly and let us stay after closing. It’s good to see another halal fried chicken place making unique recipes and good service

Their crispy chicken burger is SO GOOD. I think they use a brioche bun? The chicken is tender and juicy, and they’re very generous with the portion. Can’t wait to try other things on their menu

The hype did live up. Went to vancity today, the owner was very friendly and nice. We got the whole chicken flavored to go but forgot to take photos as we were very hungry and finished the whole chicken in minutes. The chicken wasn't oily at all and the flavors were on point. We took the spicy and lemon pepper but surely will try the other flavors too down the line.

Heard a lot of people said that this tastes like Korean fried chicken and I’ve been wanting to try their fried chicken ever since. Finally gave them a try and I ordered half flavoured chicken (honey garlic and the owner gave us free lemon pepper herbs topping, thank you!) and poutine. I must say that the chicken was the bomb! It really tastes like Korean fried chicken (at least from what I know from Korean restaurants back home). It’s so crispy outside yet so tender inside. Interestingly, it’s not greasy nor overly oily. Definitely coming back maybe to get the whole chicken instead and the chicken burger. Oh and they’re halal and only use organic non-medicated chickens too.

Literally the best fried chicken I've ever had in north America!! In Vancouver, such good quality chicken and a family marinating and frying it so carefully, putting in labour and LOVE. Halal chicken also for Muslims who might prefer. Must visit.

Delicious flavours, and quality organic, local meats. The platters are definitely worth it, average amount of meat in pitas. Afghan, Mexican, and Mediterranean options here. They also sell organic, exotic meats like ground elk, and whole rabbit. Fresh organic meats here as well. Very friendly service, with passion for quality in their dishes.

After what seems like a year of renos, this chicken place is finally open. Previously a donair shop, a family seems to have taken over selling fried chicken. They have seats but currently only accept takeout. You can order at the door through a speaker, or online. The father/husband seem to be in charge of the entire shop while the wife is feeding a little child and keeping them entertained. You can watch TV while you wait for your order. We got a full flavored chicken(cheese) and half crispy. We got a side of fries with gravy. A side and a drink comes with your order too so we for mac & cheese. My GF pointed out that they also fry mars bars, which is kind of hidden away on their menu. Their entire menu is just boarded to the wall outside. The chicken is so good! Its like korean fried chicken, and a good value too. The chicken is bone in and just hacked up in big chunks so expect to nibble some bone(i prefer this because i think its fun to do). The cheese powder is kind of sweet, and theres dried herbs mixed in. Crispy chicken is good too but id probably just get flavored next time. Fries seems to be those battered fries you get from costco. If you have had those then you know what to expect. Gravy is a little lumpy. Mac & cheese is just KD, it's a little under-seasoned. The chicken i think is the highlight and everything is made to order. I would've liked some home-made mac & cheese imo and options to pay for extra sides. For the value i think it's incredible! So nice to have it so close-by us and we will definitely take advantage whenever we can.

If you haven’t tried this, then I would say you’re missing quite a gem! One of the best peri peri chicken in the whole lower mainland. The seating area is limited and you’ll see a lot of delivery drivers picking up food, but still the taste of their chicken is heavenly!

Today is my second visit to this restaurant, and I’d like to leave an updated review: During my first visit, the experience wasn’t great — one of the staff accidentally gave my order to someone else, and I ended up waiting almost an hour before they prepared a replacement for me. However, after I posted my review, the team and the director sincerely acknowledged the issue and proactively reached out to me. Their respectful and professional response made a big impression, and I decided to give the restaurant another chance. Plus, their chicken is genuinely delicious — definitely worth coming back for! This time, I ordered takeout: grilled chicken leg & thigh with rice. Since it’s flame-grilled, the skin had a bit of char, which added a nice smoky flavor. The meat had a perfect balance of tanginess and spiciness, and it was incredibly tender and juicy. They also included a white dipping sauce — while the chicken was already full of flavor, the sauce elevated it even more. All in all, I really enjoy their flame-grilled spicy chicken. I truly hope they’ll consider opening a location on Vancouver’s west side in the future!

Definitely some of the best peri peri chicken I’ve had, ever. Would’ve been 4.5 stars if the establishment had a washroom (it was closed off) available for paying customers, and on top would’ve been 5 stars if the only other available sink had soap. Like you really need soap, a sink and for the worst case scenarios - a TOILET - at a spicy chicken shop! Food was amazing though, and so was the lovely lady that took our order at the start. She was awesome!

The restaurant is pretty plain. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was hot and tasty. Lots of GF options.

I have passed by many times and have never tried their food. I decided to go in today. I checked the menu from outside first and found what I wanted. There were 4 other customers standing in the store, I assume waiting for their orders. I come in and waited at the front for someone to acknowledge me, nothing. All the staff were in the back and I had made eye contact with at least 2 of them and not once did anyone say “we’ll be with you shortly” or something to let me know they see me. So I left, without food and slightly annoyed. Based on that experience I’ll probably never go back unfortunately. I wish these businesses would recognize how important customer service is. The cost of living is high. If you want me to spend my hard earned money in your business the least you can do is acknowledge people when they come in. Act like you actually want the business. And also, if you’re going to put your business on uber eats and other delivery apps, make sure that your business can handle the capacity. Half of the people waiting in the shop were delivery drivers. You need to be able to serve your front facing customers just as quickly if not better than these people ordering online. Just all around a negative experience.

Easily the best rotisserie chicken in Vancouver. We tried the Pero Nero and it was the bomb 10/10. My wife loved the Taylor Swift music haha

I ordered half half from this store. Each piece of chicken was with yellow, maybe fat. some of them tasted fishy. I was wondering whether they have been processed with ginger or other spices to get rid of unpleasant smell. I also ordered in Robson last week, why did their chicken taste good and without yellow? I used to really like Chicko Chicken and ordered many times. Really upset this time.

Seen this franchise all over the city after coming back from a 2 year stint. After staying in Korea for 2 months I had my share of Korean fried chicken. I felt lazy and needed some protein. This place popped up in my neighborhood just before I left on my journeys. I remember seeing two Korean ladies running it prior. Upon walking in i noticed traditional Vietnamese music blaring in the speakers. Xin Chao! I was hoping for lemongrass fried chicken lol. The service was friendly and the service was reasonably fast. First time here so I thought I go with the Original flavor. Waited around 10 min. Chicken looked decent and I like the packaging. Oil tasted a little dated and the flavor needed a punch. Has a good crunch though. Maybe I should try the sweet and spicy next time around. Price is typical but slightly higher than that of Churches.

Delicious, but the Yangnyeom chicken seemed smaller than usual.

We ordered soy garlic and shake-shake fries. The chicken was tender and hot. Will definitely comeback soon. I would recommend to extend the dine in.

At long last the Heights finally has a go-to chicken place! My buddy and I had dinner her tonight and we both agreed it was the best Korean chicken we have ever had. I ordered the original chicken which was very tender, crispy and not-at-all greasy or gristly. My friend ordered the buldak chicken (not pictured) which was very spicy and incredibly flavourful. Today was their first day and I have no doubt that I will be coming back in the months and years ahead. Welcome to the neighbourhood! :)

Staff are super friendly and the chicken is crunchy and juicy. Compared to other fried chicken stores that just make the chicken as thin and stringy as possible and fry it.

It's pretty good, you get a lot of chicken even in the half order, good value too. The chicken was very juicy with some tendony bits but that's to be expected of dark meat. I wouldn't really describe it as crispy, it's more of a crunch that I haven't experienced in other Korean fried chicken places with larger patches of batter instead of a fine crust. The yangyeom sauce I think is a little heavy on the honey or whatever they use to sweeten it, the spice level is just right for a non-chili head.

Quite possibly the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and definitely the best fries. Cannot recommend Burdy more! You can tell everything is made with such care and commitment to quality. All the sauces and toppings are amazing and made from scratch! Super friendly staff as well.

Nothing to envy to other fancy burger places. Burdy is a must visit if you are in the area. The chicken parm sandwich is delicious and the fries are even better. Really happily surprised by the quality. You can enjoy their delicious food outside or sit inside the brewery for a beer. Fairly priced and fast service, would happily visit again!

Splashed out on extras given it’ll be a while until they reincarnate themselves after this Saturday. Pickled fennel and arugula complete the chicken parm sandwich and balance it all out. Even liked the bun and I am usually not focused on the bun.

Check out this food truck if you like CHICKEN BURGER! We had chicken farm sandwich And fries. The burgers were very tasty, juicy, fries were delicious, and potato bun was so good. If like tomato sauce & parmesan cheese, you’ll LOVE this burger. The staff were so friendly there’s free parking in the area. Their menu is small so you’ll be thinking a lot about what to order. I like their patio, there’re 7 big tables.

After moving to Van from Toronto three years ago, I quickly learned that there were no Chicken Parm sandwiches to be found in the lower mainland. I just discovered these guys and man oh man, they exceeded my expectations. Such a unique approach to the simple classic I was used to. When asked if I wanted everything on it, I wouldn't have it any other way when a kitchen offers up what they have custom built. Homemade Italian breading, juicy chicken on a nice fresh bun, slightly sweet tomato sauce, complimented by fresh and crispy fennel and house pickled serranos. Can't wait.for my next visit!

I can’t believe we just stumbled upon this place. Best chicken Parmesan ever. If you don’t try this you’re missing out. The staff is also very friendly and chill!
