Caught Billy Strings for 2 consecutive shows in the Rhonda theater at the Tivoli. Great place. Design keeps everyone close to the performers. Sound was off the charts. Looking forward to my next gig there!

Honestly this place is very nice and well designed. Went to see foster the people and while there are like 2.000 people the place feel intimate. Staff very friendly, smoking balcony, affordable drinks, great location! But why on earth do you serve Bud and Pepsi?? Both the worst brands on the planet!

First time in the Tivoli. I had the pleasure of attending Ensemble Hemiolia's "Concerti Grossi XXL – Corelli and Melani" concert. The venue's seating is steeply raked, which guarantees a fantastic line of sight from every seat. The acoustics were equally impressive. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere; it's wonderful to see how much passion the Dutch public has for early music—a level of enthusiasm that is quite distinct compared to audiences in Germany.

I loved the latte macchiato and my friends enjoyed their cappuccinos. The food was even more amazing. The meat was so well cooked. The variety of the dishes were also excellent. Also, try their very good pastries. Definitely recommend this place and I look forward to coming again soon!

If I had to describe the perfect girlfriend, the pancakes I had here would be the closest thing. Of course there will be haters: my doctor, my dentist and my personal trainer. But, contrary to them, these pancakes do not ask silly questions, these pancakes understand. The shop, the pancakes, she waitresses, everything here breathes cuteness and sweetness. I sure am glad we do not have an Anna Pancakes in Rotterdam, because I would probably eat myself to death.

I stopped by for breakfast and chose the Wafflelicious as you can see in the photo. Everything tasted really fresh and was beautifully arrange. The combination of flavors worked well, and it felt like a lot of care had gone into the preparation. The portion, however, was on the smaller side, especially considering the price of around 14€. It definitely could have been a bit more generous. That said, the overall experience was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome right away, and the café itself has a warm, relaxed vibe that invites you to stay a little longer. The coffee was good too, which is always a plus.

Lovely little place in the city centre. Amazing pancakes. Great coffee and sparkling lemonade. Pancakes were fluffy, just the right amount with a creamy raspberry sauce on top. My stay at the Anthony Hotel, Utrecht was overall a very positive experience. The location was ideal, being close to the train station and within walking distance of the city centre. I walked everywhere during my stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The map with the directions and recommendations including restaurants was super helpful. I travelled solo and booked a single occupancy room. This was clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Charming historic hotel in a good location for city centre. Breakfast great. We had a family room which had two bedrooms and a living area, can recommend. Comfy beds. Note with small children not really walkable to city but buses go regularly from a stop about 5 mins away and take 5-10 mins. Parking at hotel was easy to book and reasonably priced.

Very nice and comfortable hotel, out of the centre but not unreachable, even by feet. It looks like an ancient monastery, reconverted in a lodging house. Rooms are a bit tight, (maybe they are constrained by the ancient structure), but nice and clean. Well equipped, perhaps the tv is a bit small to be watched from the bed. But there are two comfortable couches. Ironing and espresso coffee machine, but I haven't found a safe. Breakfast good and with enough variety. I did not appreciate one single taste for jam, as sometimes an alternative is necessary for specific allergy reasons. But the rest of the things compensated this small fault. Coffee machine sometimes not working for milk-based preparations. Personnel absolutely nice and responsive.

We stayed in a quad loft, two adults and two teenagers. Lots of space for all of us, the kitchenette seemed pretty well equipped. Location was a bit out of the city center but a nice walk and interesting to see a less tourist-y neighborhood. We stayed 2 nights but wish we had planned a longer stay,l!

We got a suite in room 221 . When we came around 13 hrs the room was not ready and that’s okay because check in time is 15 hrs . This hotel is not cheap . Expectations could have been very high because when we came later in the evening to go to our room , the threshold was very dirty with dust and filth everywhere and just before you enter the room were dirty cups and plates from the people before us . That situation remained unchanged until we checked out . Dirty dishes and dirty threshold. The shower pipe was broken just touching it . Reception did not answer and we had to do the plumbing ourselves. The amenities are minimal… like zero . Zero stuff in the minibar , zero things like good douche gel, toothpaste , slippers or gowns . Small little TV that was installed in an unprofessional untidy way . Disappointing. Beautiful hotel . Unique , breakfast was incredibly delicious and perfect ! The boarding was a nightmare. The hotel because of this gets a 5 . Not value for money with deposit. No . The 5 is for the breakfast and beautiful ambiance downstairs.

Attended for a two day workshop with nearly the whole department some 35+ people. The conference room for the first day was on the small side and had a very classroom like feel. Air-condition worked well though despite the relatively small room for the size of the group. Room for the second day was much larger, much more suited for a workshop with smaller groups. The audio visual set up was well organized as well, and coffee, drinks and snack service during the workshops was excellent. Lunch and diner service was adequate, lunch buffet had lots of variety. Dinner service was a bit bland with just one meat and vegetarian option: being a simple pasta dish and steak with potatoes. Service was quick and neat though.

I booked a two night stay and my clothes my pants my charger my toothbrush all gone. My room was cleaned and my stuff was not in the room. They were all put together in a black plastic bag in an unremarkable corner of the front desk, no reason given no apology.

Also, They made me pay a 200 € fee for smoking whereas I never smoked inside the room, I had a terrace and I smoked outside and they know this, I even made sure no buds were thrown on the floor or whatever, I collected them to throw them away afterwards! There was no sink in the toilet. The room's lightning was rather dim. Otherwise room was clean and spacious. We spend also an hour in the spa. A little renovation would be nice there too, but I give full five stars to proper sauna. The breakfast was ok, but in my opinion over priced. The hotel has a parking lot with many EV charging stations.

Our stay at the hotel was pretty nice, the staff is very helpful and caring. The only reasons for 4 stars was not cleaned trash after previous visitors in the bathroom and the restaurant - this we rate very low. Breakfast was tasty, the only thing is - 2 coffee machines for over a hundred visitors felt too little, it was queues all the time and accessibility to cutlery- its laying on the tables instead of around food so if you are a bit later, you have to "steal" it from another tables which is not easy to find.

Hotel Oorsprongpark is one of the more affordable hotels in Utrecht and located on the eastern outskirts of town. Luckily it’s easily accessible with public transport. The rooms are small but comfortable and functional. About what you’d expect in a traditional Dutch building. My room was a bit musty and could have used some more airing but the showers had good pressure and the hot water didn’t give out. I enjoyed my stay and don’t have any complaints for the price I paid.

Long review in a few words: I would pass, it gives dorm vibes Liked · I was reserving a bit last minute due to the change of plans and most hotels were already fully reserved, so I settled for this one, it was available. The view of the park from the room and the breakfast area was nice. It was also quiet. The water in the shower has good pressure and temperature. Plenty of electric plugs. Access is very inaccessible even for me in my 20s, for elderly or disabled people at least our room would not be accessible due to extremely steep staircases. Also does not give exceptionally clean vibes (the floor is fully carpeted, washed stains on the bed sheets, and dirt behind the TV). The bed was a twin with two VERY thin beds. I did not have a nightstand (on one side only). The ventilator in the bathroom is noisy and the lighting is incredibly low. The bathroom is tiny. The place has a history by the looks of it, but it's not a memorable experience. For 177 per night with two very passable breakfasts (155 for the room for the night), I would not wish to recommend it unless, like myself, in the necessity of accommodation without many alternatives.

We popped over for a quick lunch and really enjoyed ourselves. On a sunny day the location above the main Utrecht water channel is picturesque. A great place to sit and people watch. Very friendly waiter and waitresses. All the food was very tasty and in nice portion sizes. The cost of the food was a smidgen higher when compared to nearby restaurants but the outside seating is worth it.

Very weird that there's an "alcohol-free" section divided by barely anything. What's the point? We watched multiple people sit in this unmarked "section" for quite a while, waiting to get served, only to be told they can't drink alcohol there and have to either move or leave if there's no other tables available. Very weird. Also, overpriced.

Was charged 19,20 for 3 small paper cups of gluwein. If the owners feel comfortable charging this much money for a little bit of (poor tasting) gluwein, I would not trust the rest of their business. Would recommend to avoid.

Excellent sleep over in a bunk-bed private room. The bed felt ekstra long, and spacious - and the room feeling was better then expected. The lady serving breakfast was an absolutely lovely experience. It felt like she could have been a family member serving me coffee and smiling. Price/quality - this is a highly recommended place.

Unhygienic hotel and refusal to refund. Very poor experience. Would not recommend unfortunately. We found blood stain on the bed sheet, the night guard handed us a new bed sheet to fit ourselves because his excuse not to do it was 'he is as unexperienced as we are'. This was our 1 year anniversairy together and we paid a little extra for an enjoyable one night stay but it did not live up to its expectations. The hotel were contacted about the blood but they dismissed this as make up, only until i showed them the picture of the physical blood stain, they then agreed it was blood. They were unable to offer a refund due to 'limitations in the system' which is a very poor excuse from a hotel to not refund someone. A customer has a legal requirement and legally they cannot have limitations in the system. From the unhygienic stay and how It was poorly handled means I cannot visit this location again. Attached a photo of the blood stain which they tried to disregard as makeup.

Just a perfect place to stay in Utrecht, the studio has all you need, the location is super and the staff very friendly and responsive... what else could you ask for :-)! Ok, the bathroom is not too spacious, nevertheless absolutely sufficient for us. Our room was on 1st floor, facing the street, nice view and nevertheless calm also at night.

Beautiful flat located just outside the center. I had a great view of the canal, and couldn’t have asked for a nicer place. The facilities are nearly new, and definitely spotless. If you’re coming this way, you need to look no further.

A nice aparthotel in the very centre of Utrecht. It is closer to the centre than regular hotels, so it's a nice option, if you prefer to be in the centre of events. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortably equipped. Service is nice. They do not serce any meals.

SCAM ALERT My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and a friend of ours stayed at their other location. The apartments are very nice. The views were lovely. We were disappointed by the lack of air-conditioning. There is air-conditioning, but it’s not very good! Our biggest problem with this property is that we were double charged for the laundry and the company utilises another company to provide the laundry service and when we told them we had been double charged they told us that they have a policy if not issuing a refund because we had made a mistake when we loaded our laundry. Apparently we are so stupid that we don’t know how to read English and the manager of the company was incredibly rude and continually suggested that we had done something wrong yet we had done nothing wrong. We followed the instructions exactly. The company scammed us out of €7 but when you consider that hundreds of people come through this place on a regular basis that means that they are scamming thousands of euros out of people on a regular basis.

I’ve stayed at the Bed & Breakfast Borneman Buitenhof last weekend. I was at the end of a week of work in Holland and I wanted a place where I could rest, relax and recharge my batteries. As soon as Maarten showed me the apartment I knew I’ve made the perfect choice! It was spacious, very well furnish and with a door to a beautiful (and almost private) english garden. The Bed & Breakfast Borneman Buitenhof it’s only 20 min by bike from Utrecht (they also rent you the bike) and it’s surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good with fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, bread with ham and cheese and croissant with jam or Hagel Slag. The personal are very discreet but attentive. Maarten and his family are the perfect host, very welcoming and you can feel they do this job with pleasure and they take very well care of the place and it’s guests. Useless to say I’ve already book the same apartment for the end of the summer …. I think it will be the perfect scenery for my 15 years wedding anniversary!

This place allows you to relax, unwind and experience the real Netherland. Photos speak for themselves and a camera really doesnot do justice to the beauty of this place. Morning strolls are spectacular, food is satisfying and service is at unheard of levels. I found a freind in Maarten who is a superhost. What an incredible find just 20min cycle ride from the charming city of Utrecht! Borneman Buitenhof has a real home-away- from-home feel. The apartments are light, airy and absolutely immaculate. The garden and grounds are beautiful and our host, Maarten, went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and that we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious (included in the price) and consisted of fresh bread, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, yoghurt and freshly squeezed orange juice. I would highly recommend this B&B and look forward to visiting again when we are next in Utrecht.

Location of the hotel is perfect for a city tour. Hotel room is large. Bathroom right next to the bed takes some getting used to. Room was not clean. The windows have not been cleaned for a very long time and the elevator moves in slow motion. Absolutely unacceptable: Suddenly the door was opened and someone looked into the room. No knocking, no apology (not even after complaining to reception). Food is ordinary, unseasoned and only average quality. The hotel breakfast offers no choice and was not to our taste. As was the music, which was far too loud. The staff consists of nice, hard-working but unprofessional young ladies. Everything seems deliberate and not skillful. The double room cost around €200 for one night. Not worth it by far. All in all, not recommendable.

the rooms are very clean and have a lot of space. the old fashioned style is very charmy and I liked it. we had some small problems but the service was good so they helped us really fast. the breakfast was quite good. in the night it can get loud, we were unfortunate the first night because the other guests were really loud but after that it was quite okay. i still recommend earplugs because you hear the dome and cars if they drive trough the alleyand sometimes people laughing/shouting etc. In general it was a pleasure and I'd recommend it.

Great tourist hotel, not such a great fit for a business traveler. The location of this place is great, just off the central part of the old canal area of Utrecht, right next to the Dom tower (more about that later), and walking distance to everywhere (20 minute saunter to train station). The room was comfortably appointed, though the room that I stayed in has no semblance of privacy for bathing, so if you're into bathing in private then it might not be for you because the tub and the shower open right into the room. The toilet at least has it's own door. However, it's obvious upon first contact that this is a cafe that's trying to run a hotel and not the other way around. While not unique, the Dutch insistence on punctuality working bilaterally is on full display here. Arriving here after a 18 hour flight and train ride, I had the misfortune of getting here too early for check-in (15:00). They were kind enough to hold my bags while I wandered around Utrecht in a sleep deprived stupor for a few hours but really couldn't (wouldn't) budge on accommodating an early check-in. Come 15:00, no problem but at 14:45, no-go. A couple days later, getting ready for a day of work, at 7:30 the cafe was deserted and once again that bilateral punctuality came into play. Having places to get to early in the work day, an earlier start to the day would have been helpful, but 8:00 is the time and 8:00 it will be. The offerings for breakfast are fairly standard, nothing remarkable and somewhat limited in scope. You can get a great cup of coffee or tea and a decent pastry but beyond that, not a lot of variety or scope. It's a cafe where you hang out and drink coffee, not really a typical hotel restaurant. You may find yourself seeking out other options, though in Utrecht, once again, that bilateral punctuality expectation comes into play and not every place that you think should be open for breakfast is necessarily going to be open when you expect it to be. This is a nice place to stay for a tourist with time to sleep in, but not a great place for a business traveler. If you've got time to hang around it's a great base for exploring the city, which has a lot of things to offer. That's probably the niche that they are looking to serve, so no hard feelings, but as a traveler just be sure to set your expectations accordingly. Now as to the Dom tower...it's RIGHT THERE, which on the one hand is an amazing cultural aspect of the location. A major feature of the tower is the 60 bell carillon, which chimes on a frequent basis, day and night on a somewhat unpredictable schedule. If you are a light sleeper, you will absolutely hate this aspect of the location. If you can accommodate a random element in your life, it has a touch of whimsy, I suppose. The folks who play the bells seem to have a good sense of humor about their selections of tunes to play.

For the cafe -> The service and the staff are great and lovely. There's a small corner for kids with toys, although they could use some more books. The food is just bad. The bacon and the salmon that came with the brekafast looked really bad and weren't tasty at all. The scrambled egg is overcooked and looked old as well. Croissant and coffee were okay. The yoghurt moesli was way too sweet with all that jam. They just need to change the menu or how they prepare these dishes. There are way too many other places to have a tasty breakfast. I hope they can improve things. Finally, my latte was delicious.

I spontaneously booked a room for a night from booking.com and it was the best decision i’ve made! The room was very clean, the layout is very beautiful and feels luxurious. There really is no negative aspect from my side, just a small note that you have to ask for the wifi password at the reception (which i totally forgot to do, so i used my own internet but that was my fault for not asking, as i thought the wifi password would be on a note somewhere in the room) but besides this, a definite 10/10 experience! The staff at the reception is also extremely friendly and welcoming! Would definitely stay here again! 🤩

I was forced to cancel our stay here due to a death in the family and tried to contact management to discuss options. Unfortunately two messages through the booking app, an e-mail and a phone call asking for contact were completely ignored. Not a peep. Unbelievably unprofessional and inconsiderate.

When u get into the room it's really nice had the Jacuzzi and sauna. Bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. There no fault at all within the rooms. It was loud here is the only pitiful the walls are paper thin so could hear the guests each side speaking and using the toilet, Jacuzzi and also when they emptied bath it was as if it was coming though our room. Overall a nice place. When I first turned up it was a bit weird going through a cafe door ( but I don't stay in hotels often so maybe this is normal) , staff were really nice and helpful. Ideal having a cafe downstairs. Overall a very nice place the only reason it has 3 stars is because of how thin the walls are. WiFi is hit and miss as well but this doesn't really matter. We only used WiFi while traveling to speak to our children back home in Wales UK.

It is very nice to have a jacuzzi and sauna in your room. Ideal to relax doesn't matter if you come alone, sometimes one needs to get some rest. Room was clean.

We absolutely loved our 2 week stay in our Canal House . It was a perfect base to explore area . Hosts are welcoming and kind . Bed comfortable and tea and coffee making facilities were great . Extremely welcoming house in the heart of vibrant Utrecht- yet at the same time very cosy and quiet. Lovely living with great view over the canal. Amazing. The landlords are very welcoming and meet any needs that come up. We absolutely loved Joyce’s apartment and had a wonderful stay. The house and all of Joyce’s decorative details are very authentic and we enjoyed staying in one of the original historic houses along the canals. Joyce and Ernst were great hosts and everything you would expect was made available with little touches of hospitality that went above and beyond. My father loved the bowl of sweets at the entrance and we also appreciated the accoutrements in the kitchen. We very much hope to visit again.

Beautiful 3rd floor appartment on canal - the old, quiet bit, but just minutes’ walk from all the bars and restaurants and the Dom tower. Amazing view through the tree tops, with lots of birds to listen to. Great terrace right by canal side to take morning coffee. The appartment is very well appointed - stylish, interesting. Has everything you need - microwave and fridge, tea coffee provided. Beds comfortable. Mezzanine bed is tucked away, so reasonable privacy from the double bed in the main bedroom. I stayed up there, and my mum in the main bedroom. Joyce and Ernst delightful and really helpful. Lots of really useful information about Utrecht and surrounding areas. We’d love to come back.

We felt very much at home and welcome in the house and were overwhelmed by the beauty, the colours and pieces of art. The location in the heart of historical Utrecht is an ideal starting point for beautiful walking or cycling tours or even for canoeing on the adjoining typical canals (Grachts).
