Super nice sushi! Very nicely decorated. Not just the average all you can eat sushi where the pieces are being dumped on a plate. Friendly staff. Easy ordering through a tablet. You can only order I believe 4 pieces per person, once every 8 minutes. No time limit though. We sometimes got dishes we hadn't ordered. It is a bit on the expensive side and would have been nice if the ice cream would have been included for this price. For that, the price and the several times we received what we had not ordered, one star less.

First time here but I’d say it’s one of the best all you can eat restaurants in Utrecht! 😋 Sashimi is fresh, fast service and many type of tastes. I’d recommend to go for deluxe menu, you can have prime flavour even more!

The restaurant is a heaven for all the Asian food lovers. Our favorite was their sushi. They have a huge variety to choose from and the all you can eat is a bonus. Additionally their service is super quick and the staff is extremely friendly. Overall its a must visit when in Utrecht.

This is the best all you can eat I've had in Utrecht! The sushi is the best.. The taste is amazing and the quality is super fresh. But not only that, all the food was delicious, they have many options... I definitely recommend it! The place is cozy, the staff is very attentive, you have two hours to eat everything you want or can 😅. I will definitely come back ! 10/10

Niiiiiiice. Definitely worth it. 26.90 for lunch all you can eat. Food was amazing. If you’re a not a sushi fan go for meat and grill. I didn’t like the rolls choice but sushi was very good. Fresh fish and good quantity of fish and not a transparent blanket of fish on rice pillow. Lamb was melting in the mouth. Crispy chicken to die for. Good salads and sides. Teriyaki chicken was amazing. Rice with unagi could have more fish instead of tiny pieces. Or just remove it from the menu.

Very nice and practical space, the salmon could have been better .. it was a very simple dish for it's price. The beef was very good and the desserts also great. The staff were friendly and kind.

We had the 3-gangen menu, which is more worth the price than al a carte. The food was nice, some dishes were hits, such as the tempura mushrooms and the beef curry, others were misses, such as the sushi with too much mayo and the lamb with a very unappetising sauce on it. The mango macaron dessert was good. The pandan cocktail had a very delicious pandan aftertaste, but too much lime, which made it more of a sour instead of a daiquiri. Overall fun experience to have dinner with friends.

Very nice restaurant with very polite and helpful staff. Pricing is OK for a restaurant at this location with above average food quality. Most of the dishes are very tasteful and very well prepared. A great compliment to the kitchen staff. Thanks to the half open kitchen you can watch the preparation of the dishes and the kitchen staff works hard, fast and with dedication. May be not all dishes will suit your taste but that will be a personal experience. There is plenty of choice so that should be no problem. We had a great time. We'll definitely return.

Such a nice experience! We were 5 and ordered the 5 course menu (around 34 euros). I ate so many delicious dishes, particularly the spicy jacked shrimp and scallops were from another world. Food presentation was also very impressive. In sum, delicious food for a fair price. Super recommend!

I recently had a a very nice dining experience at Mr. Miyagi. I met with friends from all over Europe, a group of 13 in total. Despite booking a month in advance, they accommodated our reservation without a hitch, and even welcomed an additional friend who joined us last-minute. We ordered our meals via tablet, and the dishes were served in smaller portions, ensuring they were fresh and allowing us to reorder as we wished. This setup was perfect, enabling everyone to choose their dining pace. The staff were excellent in explaining the system to our entire group with a lot of patience. The food? Exceptional. Not only was it delicious and value for money, but the entire staff was also fluent and professional in English, ensuring seamless communication throughout our dinner. Their drinks and cocktails, especially the Pink Damrak gin cocktail, were a highlight for me. My personal favorite dish was the salmon crunchy tacos. My vegan friends highly reccomend the following dishes. The "Buddha gyoza" without butter, "mushroom maniac", and "tofu trouble". The spacious setting meant our large group was comfortably accommodated, with room to spare. In conclusion, if you're a fan of Asian cuisine, sushi, gyozas, and more, I can highly recommend Mr. Miyagi. It's a must-visit!

All you can eat was totally worth it. Entire menu is available with slight upcharge for some items. Fish was all delicious and most came 1-2 pieces in good size.

The sushi is of great quality and they know how to prepare it gluten-free. They told me they clean everything and use different utensils to prepare the sushi. They also have gluten-free soy sauce. I am celiac, had no symptoms the next day, and had a great evening. Totally recommend!

The good: -Some of the best sushi I've ever had. The Rainbow Roll, Spider Roll and Ebi Avocado Rolls were some of the best I've ever had. -What was lacking in the digital ordering system's ability to order items was made up for thanks to the staff. The staff was very friendly, they basically did everything we asked for, with precision and speed. -The sushi arrived extremely fast! The bad: -My wife has always wanted, and successfully ordered a Ginger Ale with her sushi at other restaurants, unfortunately, after a check, the stock seemed depleted, whilst we don't know the exact reason, stock management would seem easy enough at a restaurant. The white wine she had instead apparently wasn't up to par. -The ordering process, physical menu and digital menus we're unclear. On the physical menu, some rolls mentioned consisting of 4 pieces, whilst others didn't mention their amounts. Since this is an a-la-carte restaurant, we didn't know if we could order sushi in waves, or if we had to order everything ahead of time; fortunately, waves were the norm. -Orderable items didn't have numbers, therefore it was often difficult to 'cross-reference' or 'map' what my wife wanted me to order. -Certain items on the physical menu didn't exist on the digital one, things like, Sashimi, and there was another item, but I forgot which one. -Ordered items often didn't arrive, when checking the order, they weren't registered either. Luckily they weren't charged either. These items included: Ebi Temaki and Wakame Salad. All in all, great restaurant that could use some attention to detail. We almost packed our bags to go to our usual, an all-you-can-eat. In the end it was average, a solid 3. Thanks for the good time!

Wow! Yesterday we had the most amazing, tasty sushi. We tried as much as we could and there was not a single sushi dish I did not like. I even liked the sushi with mango and I am not even a particular mango fan. They serve your order quite fast too! The staff is beyond welcoming and friendly as well. This place deseverves more costumers tbh… a hidden gem in Utrecht. We will be returning.

"All you can eat", unfortunately the quality is what you would expect of such a place. The staff was fairly distracted and impolite. The food was OK. There are lots of rules for the "2h all you can eat", namely: you can only order for 1.5h (and sit the last 30 minutes). You can only order 3 different items for each course. Etc etc. And it appears they time the courses to such a precision that it takes at least 30 minutes to finish one. I don't understand why this place has gotten 5/5 stars, it's 3/5 at best.

Sushi is much better than the all you can eat places. Prices are fair (average 25-30 € per person) and the fish seems really fresh and good tasty. They also have a good chardonnay white wine. We recommend to go here if you want to have a great sushi dinner.

I was expecting "all you can eat" between 20 to 30€/p. It was 39.5€/p. The serving was good. The interior looks old, but not nice old, just need some renovation especially at the toilet. For a couple can cost you to eat between 50 to 60 euro if you go by their menu's! If I would have a second chance , I would chose other Japanese restaurant.

Ordered takeaway, it was delivered very quickly. Not only that, but the sushi's were great and fresh tasting and they even added an extra set of large delicious sushis! Probably the best spot for sushi in Utrecht!

Great sushi - just be prepared to wait for delivery. Maneki consistently delivers delicious sushi! I’ve only ordered take-out, so I can’t speak to the dine-in experience, but I never skip their temaki (hand rolls) - especially the sake (salmon) and fuji (scallops) rolls. They’re fresh, flavorful, and always hit the spot. The only downside is the delivery time - it’s usually quite slow, often taking between 1.5 to 2 hours. That’s the main reason for the 4-star rating. It might be faster for pickup, but I haven’t tried that yet, and I’m also unsure what the dine-in wait is like. That said, the food is worth the wait. I just make sure to plan ahead, knowing it’ll take some time. If you're craving quality sushi and have some patience, I definitely recommend giving Maneki a try!

I order delivery and it was terrible. The only piece with fish was minimal, it says combo of 28 pieced, but given the size of the fish piece, the counts as half a piece. They add sauce (like mayonnaise) on top. You can only taste that. A waste pf money.

TL;DR Delivery staff yelled at us, for it to turn out they were at the wrong street, wrong part of town... Ordered a few weeks ago via Thuisbezorgd, delivery done by the restaurant. They called, I couldn't answer at the moment and called back 3 min later. The guy (courier support) yelled at me why wasn't I answering the door or the phone. No one knocked, or rang the doorbell, I was standing by the window and didn't see anyone come by. Told him as much but he kept yelling at me. Then said that the delivery guy was already too far away (in 3 mins??) and that he can send another delivery but it will take a while. It was already past 10pm but I said okay. 40 mins later still no one had come, and the restaurant is officially closed. We call them and the courier support person says (again rude and yelling) that the delivery guy is in front of the house but can't find our house number. Let's say our house number is 2-BS. He is at 2 and can't find the BS. I say that is not possible as they are right next to each other. Then I am standing in front of the house and no one is there. The guy keeps yelling that the delivery driver is there. But there is no one on the street. Then he yells some at the delivery guy he has on the other line. After a while, they realise the driver is in the wrong street, in a whole different neighborhood??? They get a bit apologetic and say the driver will make his way to the right address. 10 mins later, the driver calls, says he is at number 1 but that 2 or 2-BS are not next to it and he cannot find it. This person, whose job it is to deliver to addresses, doesn't know that odd and even numbers are on different sides of street and might not be parallel. Also - Google Maps??? Or any other maps app??? Anyway, more than 2hrs later, being yelled at and now somewhat afraid to order delivery again, we have the food. I don't mind the mistake of going to a wrong street, it happens. I mind the rudeness and the yelling and the accusations before even checking if everything is right on your side. Horrible service. Sushi was just ok.

Ordered food and never got it. Ordered via UBER eats. The food never arrived, tried to call them se eral times but nobody picked up. In the meantime I was charged and money was taken out of my account. Will go to the restaurant today to claim my money back which I shouldn’t be doing. They should be out of business.

I did order on the Wednesday with the special code but clicked pcik up by mistake. When I called them to ask where the Sushi is they made me aware of my mistake. They were amazingly forthcoming and agreed to deliver it to my place. It arrived 15 minutes later. Once again thank you very much Sushi Time team.

Usually a fan, but I am really disappointed by their Wakame salad. It barely has any Wakame in it, it’s just topped up with salad and carrots.

It’s quite a relief to find this just opposite central station Utrecht and on the outer wall of Hoog Catharijne mall. Foods were yummy but not that special, it’s like almost there but lack some punch. It has room for improvement as the presentation and the background flavors are already there. Service was slower during weekends but understandable and bearable, place is small and some chairs were broken (wobbles) cleanliness is also something that can be improved. Overall I would still choose to eat here out of all the restaurants in the mall.

The food was good, but a bit salty. The people were very friendly, even they made some small mistakes I did not mind it. The atmosphere is okay, but it is very small to sit. Also I hit my head on the lights who are hanging very low because it was so small. Still if your in the area, then it might be a good healthy food place to visit.

Best sushi in Utrecht. Generous portions. But I really hate to pay for plastic box for onigiri. It doesn’t make sense. Onigiri already wrapped in plastic bag. Why do you put it in plastic box extra? It doesn’t make sense for delivery and dine in neither.

Very good restaurant, we chose the menu of 10 dishes for 35 euros and it was really great! We were expecting small dishes but the amount is actually a lot for the price asked. The service was also great and quick bringing the dishes 100% recommended!!

If your a lover of tasting all different flavors and dishes, this is your go to restaurant. Their 10-course surprise dinner is so fun to do. Prices are also good. During covid lockdown we also ordered the 10-course meal at home, also very yum and easy to warm up. Hope the restaurants open up soon again because having the dinner there is even better :-)

Fun food, fun atmosphere, fun ppl Update: My last trip to Mama wasn't as good as the first one - was there last Sunday with friends and both the kitchen and bar seemed overwhelmed. It took forever to get our orders and on multiple occasions only to be told that you are out of ingredients (salmon, beet etc). So two visits and two opposite experience :(

Nice outside area with great food and 2 for 1 gins on Thursdays! This place caught My eye since they’ve renovated. Their gin tonics are great! I’m not too much of a fan tonic water so it’s really nice that they also have a ginger beer based one. Their sushi rolls were really tasty! The salmon portion was generous and fresh. Really interested to trying the rest of their menu. The only downside is the food is quite pricey (15 euros a roll) and when sitting outside (at-least for us) the service could be improved. Waiters were nice but we did wait a long time for our next orders and they did forget something we ordered. All in all, I’d still go back to try the rest of the menu but will wait for a nice occasion!

This is a fantastic Japanese restaurant! The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was clean, cozy, and inviting. The staff were friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. I highly recommend it!

We ordered salmon for €25. After two pieces, we found a fly inside the salmon — it was clearly crushed between the two pieces. We sent it back. At first, they didn’t accept it and claimed the fly was came on the table. We insisted that it definitely came from the salmon. When the bill arrived, they had added €8 for the two pieces we ate. Unfortunately, the way the restaurant handled this — denying responsibility and blaming us instead — was very disappointing.

The karaage chicken tasted like frozen chicken tenders with a watered down BBQ sauce. Didn’t taste anything like real karaage. The unagi don bowl was not bad, the unagi was very fatty and quite fishy qua taste, it didn’t taste very grilled or smoky.

Went here on a whim. The restaurant is, as the Dutch say, gezellig ! Service was swift and friendly. The salmon was great. shiny and bouncy. Unfortunately, My partner finished the dish before I could even take a photo haha. Dessert was delicious though. We ordered the Japanese cheese cake and they did not disappoint. Next time we will try out the Teppanyaki as suggested.

A few days ago I ordered unagi don. Infront of the restaurant it said 15.5 euros but they charged me 17.5 euros. I walked back to ask them why they charged me 2 euros extra, the woman said, “maybe it’s already after lunch time?” But it was still before 16:00, so she said, “oh maybe it’s for takeaway.” I asked her, “oh so you charged 2 euros for takeaway?” She looked around and said maybe it’s a mistake. In the end they paid me back 1.5 euros but I recieved no apology and instead she made an annoyed face. It’s not about the money but I hate it when they scam you like that and even if it was an actual mistake they should have apologized. The food itself is not bad but the quantity is quite small.

The food is really good quality and it is delicious. However, as it's a very popular place for dinner, at peak times service is quite slow. The desert bar is something to mention with lots of good variety.

Visited Sushi Today Utrecht before a football game and it was great. Fast and friendly service, with good food. We had the buffet option and the food was more than enough within our sitting. Although i wouldn't say it's the best of Japanese cuisine, the flavours and dishes were good and i would visit again if going to see a match at the stadium There's plenty of room in the restaurant however if you're going for game day, you still might want to make a reservation.

The food was very good. The service: business like, no smile or words,... just putting the ordered food on the table. Too busy? The app, to order the bites and drinks didn't work 100%.: we filled in 6 x a bite and the summ in the app said 5. This happened three times. The dessert possibilities: endless good.

We came to this place for some buffet sushi experience. The place is located near to the utrecht football stadium, which is abit further from the city center. It costs 35e per person to have a normal buffet (without drinks). There are wide variety on the sushi on the menu. For the fish sashimi there are too much rice attached and it fills up up quickly. The food comes relatively quick once you ordered it. Good experience overall.

The food is outstanding, high quality and delicious. Lovely atmosphere, good service. Make sure to reserve a portion of zukesashimi, it’s absolutely delicious and it does run out.

We had the Kaisen Don and Miso Iberico Katsu Don—both absolutely delicious. Fresh seafood over rice, and rich, tender katsu with deep miso flavour. Cozy, minimal space with a true Japanese feel. Do reserve a table—the place is always full at dinner time!

Finally managed to make a reservation and try this one. The place is simple but warm like any other Japanese restaurants. It was recommended to try 2-3 appetizers and the seafood/beef don. So we picked Torigyoza (chicken dumplings), Karaage (fried chicken), Takoyaki (Fried octopus ball with okonomiyaki sauce) which was my favorite from the lot. Then the mains, Kaisen Don (Raw salmon, tuna, scallop with soy sauce). They explained us how to eat it which is also mentioned in the menu. Apart from the Don and the topping you can also pick 3 spices/relishes. That and a dashi included in the price. It took a while to serve after the appetizers. Also tried their homemade matcha ice cream which I enjoyed. The drink I ordered was not to my liking. Yuzushu soda, Japanese fruitsake cocktail.

It’s kind of funny how different between the real experience and the reviews here. The food was not good and tasteless (only looks good). The most ridiculous thing was they limited customers to have dinner there within 1.5 hours. And after that you’ll be kicked out. I never ever had this experience in any of the restaurants in the world. It’s funny that nobody commented about this here. And the prices are high, worthless high. I will be just honest, I will not go there again.

We went there in a small group of five food lovers including guests who were in Utrecht for a couple of days. The location is really nice, close to the city center, and easily reachable from public transport, car or bikes. From the outside it looks like a cozy place next to the canal with tropical vibes. It reminded me of cafes and restaurants from Ubud or the rice terraces in Tegalalang. We were immediately offered multiple tables. The service seemed prompt and helpful. We started with a round of tropical cocktails and Indonesian starters. Cocktails look amazing and it looks like they are well-curated not only in terms of ingredients but also in greater details, about how they are presented and served. Sate ayam were amazing. We also ordered two dishes with jackfruit - one of them was nice but the jackfruit sate tasted a little more processed than any other jackfruit dish I've ever eaten. I felt that the food was nice but our table had a mixed response. The recipes are slightly modified to be a little less spicy but the waiters offered us a variety of sauces on the side which worked really well with the food we had ordered. The main course dishes were also nice. The staff were very friendly and I believe they should get additional points for that. If it were only for the staff and the service, I'll say that this place is better than Michelin listed restaurants in the city. Overall, I feel if you're interested in a quick bite and a drink next in a relaxing neighborhood, this is a place worth visiting. The food definitely looks very well presented. But if how the food tastes is only your preference, I'd rather ask you to wait for the management to take a conscious decision about what the recepies should be like. They are just one step away from authentic Balinese experience. We had a nice evening. Because of the memorable drinks, pretty pictures, and friendiness of the staff, I have to mark it as a 5-star (maybe a 4.9).

We had a dinner for two on a weekend evening. We came away with a great experience. The food is Indonesian, and they have some good cocktails as well. We loved the slightly funky tropical neon ambience. The service was excellent and speedy. Yes, you don't get table service in the times of corona. You have to order through an app (QR code you scan at the table), and the food is brought there by very efficient staff. I also had a jokey - conversation with the server about getting a custom cocktail for myself (all in good fun!). Finally onto the food. It was amazing. We had slightly low expectations since we're Indian and like our food extra spiced. We expected something more suiting the Dutch palate. However the food hit it out of the park. We tried the bao buns and the rendang as our main dishes - both were spectacular. And the Balinese fried chicken was just as great. All in all, we're glad we came here. Excellent food, excellent ambience and excellent service. We'll be sure to come again.

They had vegan options as well. Recommended for the atmosphere. Decoration of the cocktail is 10/10. I would like to go there again. Vegan spring rolls were amazing too

Exquisite and delicious food. I ordered the chicken and the chocolate mouse and were choices. The environment and set up is incredible, and the staff is super friendly. I really like the app to order the food, is seamless, and contact less.

First time here, liked the food! Very nice interior and nice staff. Really like the Pandan Creme Brulee, their Loaded Rendang Fries were also quite good. Didn't enjoy the Veg Gyoza and Chicken Rice Paper Roll as much, but they were still good. Had a great time and will defenitely come back to try more of their cocktails!

The place is a very cute place by the canal, next to the train station. We came with a reservation and we had a nice table by the window. The staff is polite and very helpful. The prices are initially thought to be good, which in the end I think are high compared to what we ate. The food was not well prepared, lacking taste or having very bad pieces of meat (e.g. pork baos), and we couldn't finish our meal. The fries were very good though. Unfortunately we did not have cocktails, which look very nice from the photos.

We tried this restaurant for my birthday at lunch and the experience was above the expectations! I really liked the elegance look of the ambient. The atmosphere was quiet and the staff never bothered us. My partner and I were here on a Saturday evening. We were able to get a table at 17h15 without a booking, though was asked we'll need to finish by 18h30. I don't think it's unfair to shorten the amount of time we get on the food, compared with the 2 hours that their website states, but with a session 45 minutes shorter you'd think there would be a slight discount, especially when there are limits on your order? This is an "ordering" type buffet restaurant, with rules that aren't made obvious or hidden from their website or entrance. Orders are made through a link via QR code - make sure you got enough battery on your phone. Each patron may order 5 dishes every 8 minutes, and there's no way to mark what your next order might be until the cool down expires. Patrons are also prompted not to order more food in the last 30 minutes of their stay, though I don't know if they actually lock the ordering link. Portion sizes vary. My partner and I managed to order 30 choices overall, however about 5 to 6 never arrived, mostly sushi - some appear to gave been given to the wrong table. And certainly my partner heard patrons at tables near us complaining about food they never ordered. Food that did arrive got to us promptly, and don't taste bad. However, the price tag for the experience along with missing food simply do not justify a return visit or recommendation, unless money is no object to you and you don't care whether your orders arrive in part or in full. See photos for examples of food, note sushi comes in sets of 1, and maki, sets of 3. Tap water is explicitly not served here. Drinks start from 3,20€. WiFi available, reasonably well decorated, averagely clean. The staff's manner was generally okay, but the missing dishes indicate strong training needs.

Food: 4 Service 4.5 Athmosphere/Venue: 4 Great dine-in and all you can eat style of restaurant. There is a QR code per table which brings you to an online menu where you can order, ask service and filter out dishes based on allergy. The service was really fast, with first orders arriving within minutes of ordering. The sushi naki comes in three pieces, unagi in single piece. Some of the beef and chicken dishes were really nice as well, although a little greasy due to the amount of sauce and oil present. The red bean taiyaki tast great as well, recommend trying it. Dessert is not included in standard menu, but the matcha ice cream and red velvet cake served with it makes for a nice round up. In total including drinks spent about 50 euro per person here.

We went here on a Sunday evening for an all-you-can-eat experience, and it was definitely worth it! The concept is similar with other ayce restaurants - you can order 5 items per person per round, but you have unlimited rounds! We tried the sushi and other smaller items as well, and they did not disappoint! The ingredients were fresh, and the food overall was very tasty. They have some sweet options as well (you have to try the apple gyozas!) and at the end you can opt for one dessert. They also have some nice cocktails options. The place is spatious, but do not hesitate to make a reservation, especially if you go for dinner in the weekend. It is also very nicely decorated :) You can order the food from your phone which is very convenient, and all the people at the table can order simultaneously, so you can save time! Overall a very nice experience!

I used to order from there many times. However, the last 3 times there were missing veggies in the roll. Even after calling to complain, the next time it was missing again. Three strikes, it is definitely the last time I would order from them.

The second star is due the price (they have some deals) but this is definitely a Japanese food to not recommend. If it is your only option, order the basics. There is no way to mess up with raw salmon.

Nice standard quality sushi and poké bowls, for when you need a quick fix to hit the spot. Some vegetarian options. The personnel is pleasant and to the point. Focused mainly on delivery and take out, so not really furnished for eating the meal on the spot. Due to the opening hours suitable for late lunch and dinner.

Never been treated like this before. The owner yelled at us for ordering extra food during busy hours. He said we can only order in one go, but if you are with a big group and people are still hungry, isn’t it normal to order more food if you feel like it. To be honest, the food isn’t that special. I had better dim sum in The Hague, Rotterdam and even in Amsterdam. We won’t be coming back ever again!

First of all, they charge for rice! Like, which Chinese restaurant charges for rice in the Netherlands.. Besides that, really nothing special about this place. The dishes taste alright, nothing bad about that. But the size of the plates are much smaller than other Chinese restaurant in Utrecht, Rotterdam, the Hague or even Amsterdam. The service is literally terrible. Slow serving, 50/50 response rate, and way too often bringing a plate less. You might think, it must be crowded at that time. Nope, there were like 5 tables with 3 waiters. If you want to go out for Dim Sum or any traditional Chinese diner, then rather go to Amsterdam or the Hague for a better experience and value!

The dimsum in Utrecht has greatly improved compared to two years ago. It is now better than most dimsum restaurants in other randstad. Noodles' dishes are also okay, but leave some room for improvement. Overall, the price is justified for the current quality.

Terrible experience we had during lunch/dim sum. The food is ok, not exceptional. We usually go here because it's convenient by car (free parking in Utrecht). But service is horrible. First of all, you don't know what kind of language we can speak here to the staff. But the worst was the owner. We were with a big group, and the owner was incredibly rude to us when we asked a few times that we were still missing some dishes. He raised his voice shouting that he had more tables to serve, though the restaurant wasn't even full. I've never experienced this kind of rude behavior before. We were all so shocked! We've heard from others they've had similar experiences with the owner and staff. Such a shame, but we won't be returning here.

We used to enjoy coming here with our family, but this time was disappointing. After placing our first order, my mom added two more dishes that never arrived, even after we asked twice. Instead of solving the problem, the owner came over, raised his voice at her, and rudely said we kept ordering while his restaurant was busy, though it was clearly less crowded than usual. Sadly, we don’t plan on returning.

The place is quite new on the dim-sum part so some things weren't as great as you would have expected like in The Hague...but give this restaurant some time and it will definitely improve on the dim-sum part. I can definitely recommend this restaurant (portions are good) parking is free so really convenient if you don't want to go to the city center and search for a parking spot.

Had a fabulous dinner here. Service was perfect. Explanation Food Menu everything perfect. We ordered the shrimp steamed dumplings the chicken steamed dumplings fried wonton shrimp fried triangle one chinese fried rice one mix meat platter which had delicious roasted duck, fried pork belly, and more pork pieces, we had rice noodle pancake with pork and shrimp, hot and sour soup and a wonton soup. All the dishes were absolutely perfect. Jack was our waiter. Nice guy speaks English and Dutch.

Food was hit or miss. They had some peppery beef that was amazing! Though some items were a bit too ordinary. A bit disappointing that ordering the sashimi costs extra. Great service, things arrived fast as soon as we placed our orders. The self-service dessert station was great too. Enjoyed the chocolate fountain and the sesame and matcha ice creams.

First of all, the price is right. Not overly expensive and no cheap food served. The surrounding park makes you feel like you are out in the woods rather than in the middle of utrecht. Furthermore, the lamb, beef and mussels were great! Doing those three dishes well elevates my opinion of this place. The wine pairings are none too complicated and well thought out. Making it perfect for students, small families and friends.

We went with a small group of 4. The quality at all you can eat places is usually quite mediocre, but I have to say, it was quite good at here! No time limit and essentially no food limit made it a great experience. The staff was very friendly and the food was delivered quite quickly. Even during the busy hours. The drinks were averagely priced and they had a fine selection of fitting wines. The diversity and varation of the dishes was very nice. I could try a few food that I had never tried before. I will be going here once again for sure. Including a tip we each spend 50 euros here. We had consumed a total of roughly 100 dishes in 2 hours with some drinks. You can order a max of 20 items per round. There is a total of 20 rounds. So it is essentially an all you can eat for most people. You can grab deserts whenever you want. The ice is very delicious! Mango, green tea, and vanilla is a fantastic combination. Lastly the restaurant is locations in a very nice park with a beautiful scenery. The place itself looks and feels cozy while giving off a luxurious vibe. This was honestly a very pleasant experience.

Very nice sushi restaurant. We have gone for the “special menu” and did not regret it. From all the food we tried, only two things were not of our liking, but it’s only a matter of taste! They also found for us an accommodation for our unannounced baby stroller. I recommend it!

Think this is one of the best ayce I've ever been. The food was great, everything seemed to be pretty fresh. My friend took the char siu, har gow and siu mai, so I had to try and wow, those were precisely how my mom would make it. The char siu was pretty juicy and thick, not dry at all! I would definitely go again.

I can recommend the place. Especially for Salmon+Mango and Kimchi+Salmon rolls. We have been here on Sunday for lunch and payed around 25 euros per person for all you can eat experience. We could order 5 p.p. dishes per round which is more than in most of the places. Same goes for variety of Lunch options: it is also better than in most all you can eat sushi in Utrecht. We didn’t like that some of our orders were forgotten even after reminding about them. It seems that they do it on purpose to save money. Atmosphere is good, place looks new and stylish.

We had a lovely evening at Ixi. Super fast and friendly service, also the dishes were brought quickly as it was not really busy. Sushi was very fresh and really delicious. We liked the special menu that has sashimi included. We’ll come back for sure!

Their lunch deal isn't the same as what you see on their website. It's about 20% less choices, mostly the special dishes are off the table. Besides that, the dishes and service were average. Longer story: We visited on a Friday afternoon and chose the Lunch menu. The service is pretty quick and one of the waiter was very friendly, so those things were nice. Also, some dishes were actually twsty, e.g. Fried banana, Wings, Sui mai, Coco pudding, Flamed salmon and Eel sushi's. But those were pretty much the highlights. - The lunch menu turned out to be more limited than what they say on their website. - Many dishes were not that well. The sashimi on the sashimi salad was still cold from the freezer and most of the special roles (Urumaki?) were prepared with older and harder rice. I assume they didn't expect that many tables during lunch today so decided to use up the left-overs from yesterday. At least, that is what I hope and that this isn't their usual quality. - 4 out of 5 warm dishes ruined by too much sauce, resulting in a very strong tasting and salty dish. Watch out for the grilled salmon and white fish, and the mushrooms. Oh, such a waste it was... Overall, I would mark this place as average at most. We don't see any reason to visit here soon again, especially not for their lunch menu.

We had a great time in this restaurant. They have many different kinds of sushi with very good quality. They also have many other foods than sushi, such as tempura. Our favorite sushi menu is unagi sushi. When we visit, they have a special all you can drink menu and it was worth it. The service was great. The food was delivered quickly after we ordered.

We had Lunch. One of the best experiences. Delicious food with alot of varieties. Quick service. The only downside was that the waiter was so surprised when we walked in. His attitude was confusing. He was asking if we know that this is an all you can eat. And then he highlighted the price a couple of times eventhough i told hem that we know already all the details. It seemed condescending. As if we are going to eat and run with out paying. But later on he apologised.

All you can eat Japanese restaurant that has a variety of sushi, noodles, rice and dessert items. Seems fair for the price tag given what's on offer. Food tastes decently good and arrived relatively quickly after ordering each round on the tablet.

Nice experience, but managing expectations this is not a full authentic experience, more a Western interpretation of sushi, with saus etc. We liked the evening, the service was nice, but we noted we had to ask where our items were, and if more was coming. Also, at the end all empty plates were removed one by one (while still eating) as if it was a olympic game, this could be done in a more patient manner. The price is ok.

Great place. The sushi & other dishes were very decent, some could be wrapped a bit tighter. We didn't have to wait too long for each round, and the food was fresh. The selection range was also good. The staffs were friendly, helpful when asked but could be a little more proactive. Sometimes we have a stack of finished plates on our table, and it took 2 rounds for most of them to get cleaned. The staffs weren't too busy, nor lazy, definitely not, they just didn't have eyes for those, so a bit of reminder would make a huge improvement. The place is very clean, and food is well decorated.

Disappointment for sure!!! Nothing tasted fresh, let's get that out of the way straight off. Even the cooked meats tasted boiled then grilled and way overdone. The inside was not so clean and looks like it has seen better days. Soap dispenser fell apart in my hand. Service was fine but I would recommend you AVOID.

I have mixed feelings for the foods at Kakunosuke. The menu is limited to Udon and some small dishes. The food presentation is simple and attentive, especially sticking to Japanese concept. You will not find any bokchoy on the dishes here. On the other hand, the foods are not value for money due to small portion size versus price. If you are a big eater like me, you will sure be paying a lot or stay hungry. The sliced beef is the better option than what pork I ordered. When I saw grilled iberico pork, I expected grilled fragrant pork meat. Unfortunately the pork was more braised than grilled. The service was good and very polite. We came in early and the place was quite empty, but we still only got window seats. I really don’t know how it happened

Relaxing Lounge with amazing staff. This is a true Japanese place with fresh, healthy food and a nice atmosphere. There is a nice terrace. But inside it also looks very inviting. All the dishes were very nice and recommendable. Even as a vegan or vegetarian, you're in the right place here! During Corona there is a limited menu and of course rules.

The udon here is absolutely fresh and boasts an incredible texture, truly one of the best I've ever had. I opted for the beef udon, which was a hit with my friend too. Despite being quite full from brunch, we couldn't resist trying some side dishes, settling on gyoza and pickled mackerel, both of which were delightful. If we had more room, we would've indulged in even more of their tempting side options! For those who enjoy sake, they offer a wide selection to choose from, although I'm not much of a sake drinker myself. Having previously visited Kounousuke, which specializes in Don, Kobonosuke's focus on udon was a refreshing change and definitely worth recommending. The staff here are exceptionally friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

The food itself tasted alright but the portion is sooooooo small! 18 euros for a tiny bowl of carbs is insane. I ordered okonomiyaki as an appetizer and it was tiny plus there was barely any sauce / bonito flakes. Some of the ingredients in the udon bowl was cold, including spinach and egg. There was only one person working in the kitchen so there was a bit of delay as well. I added extra fish cake on the side for 3 euros and I got 2 tiny pieces 😭

We're looking for Udon place (it's hard to find one) and this one definitely the best place in Utrecht. Different take on Udon from Marugame but it's delicious ⭐ also great menu choices, and good price to value. Oh yeah love the ambience, especially the window table!

Fantastic food accompanied with great staff. The dishes were simple yet prepared so incredibly well. We really enjoyed the wagyu, steamed eggplant and pickled mackerel. Unfortunately we were too stuffed to try more things on the menu. Will return to try the unagi egg dish and the curry as it looked delicious. Nice selection of drinks, really liked that they had sochu and sparkling sake on the menu. Only slight downside is the restaurant was quite warm when we went but small thing to put up with for the great food and service.

First of all let me start with how sweet the people are! The food by ut self was very good, the only few things that I’ve noticed was that it took a bit of a time till someone came to us so we could order. We’ve ordered also noodles but instead we’ve got rice, it was very delicious but it was a bit disappointing if you’ve looked forward the whole day to eat noodles and then still not having them. I know that that is my own fault of saying nothing about it, but that’s okay. I would recommend going here because the food was really good!

My boyfriend and I have been here twice for lunch and both times we were the only people there - not really sure why as the food is great, it's reasonably priced for sushi in Utrecht and the staff are really friendly. Would recommend and we'll be back!

Small but nice restaurant. Not too crowded. Fine food with quite some options on the menu. Sushi as well as fried dishes, meat and fish. Also some vegetarian dishes. Staff is kind, but saw only one waitress and don't know if there are much people in the kitchen? Wait wasn't too long, but longer than you'd expect with the amount of guests. Ordering food is also possible, saw a lot of deliverers walking in and out to pick up the food (maybe that's why the wait was longer too). Went here on a saturday night. Over all a good place.

although I wanted to like it because of the nice staff, me and my friends really didn´t. The night started of with the soya sauce being 2 years out of date, and they wouldn´t give us a new one. After, when we got the sushi, it was okay, until we found a fly in one of them.. We lost appetite and decided to leave but still had to pay full price! the Staff was very sweet so thats why I still gave them 2 stars.

The sushi that we had was good, but it took very long until we received the first round. Also, they forgot half of the sushi we ordered in the second. Staff was friendly but very unprofessional and unexperienced. Overall a bit dissatisfying.

Fast delivery and solid sushi, however we did not receive any ginger or wasabi with it! And the seaweed salad was served on top of a salad with sauce, which we didn’t like.

A nice and cozy Japanese restaurant in the more quiet streets of Utrecht. With a decently sized menu and drink card you can sit here and enjoy the snacks and drinks, the gyoza’s and double salmon roll is a nice choice along side the yuzu wine !

I went to Kong Izakaya after receiving recommendations from my friends. The atmosphere and design are incredible, I loved the small decorations and the posters on the walls. The fried gyozas were very nice - hard to mess up these though… The nigiri and sushi were nice and fresh, yet the rice was not bad but also not very good. The big disappointment for me was the ramen… I ordered the tonkutso ramen - the broth was way too thin and lacked any flavor… the broth should be creamy and flavorful from the gelatin. The noodles were good but the whole ramen experience was unfortunately not good…

My thoroughly positive experience with the establishment already started prior to actually dining there. The accommodating and friendly staff called me back when I tried to make a reservation by phone a few days ahead. This set me up for high expectations which were exceeded throughout! We chose to dine at Kong's as two friends wanting to share a few dishes from the menu. Not only that every dish was of high quality & superb taste - anything we had tasted super fresh and was ready in a short period of time. We were raving about the food from start to finish! On top of that the value for money was top notch. The menu is very extensive and we are sure that when we will be back there will be enough additional/new dishes to try. ごちそうさまでした!

An incredible little place near the city center that brings lots of wonderful flavors from a place far away at decent prices. The place itself is small, so making a reservation is recommended, but it's also quite cozy. And the staff is friendly and always ready to help. The ramen is great but don't miss out on the tasty appetizers!

This place is awesome! They serve glutenfree cookie dough so it is my personal heaven. I had the glutenfree dough with salted caramel icecream, strawberries and chocolate sauce. Delicious!

Amazing place! The ice cream and cookie dough combinations are delicious. It's not very healthy, but it tastes so good! The only downside of this shop are the low amount of seats, but luckily there's a park nearby with plenty of benches. One advice : take the small size, the medium and large size are way too much to eat.

Wow this place is just lovely! When you hear "Holland's first cookie dough bar" you kinda assume something a bit crazy and tacky (in a good way). But this place was cozy and classy and felt like an old fashioned ice cream parlour. All the flavours were delicious!!! Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere! It is very calm, relaxing, and a quiet place. Perfect for work while drinking a cup of coffee or eating a small bite. I liked their cappuccino and cheesecake. The interior is vibrant, colourful, and clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. They served us the drinks directly at our table and then took the empty cups themselves, too. The place is not crowded as well and empty spaces can easily be found.

We have been really warm welcomed from coco in his great place to co work. The coffee, the network and the meeting rooms are just great 🥳 This will be our place for remote work days 🙏 Thanks for your kindness

Great café to work and write in the mornings. It’s become a routine to have a little bit of smalltalk with the owner, ask for a cup of coffee and spend an hour or two working here.

The sushi is fine, but yesterday I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before I called them to hear that my order was just ready and was given to the deliverer. 10 minutes later they called me back to tell me my order was almost ready (instead of just ready), but that they were out of salmon. They asked me if they could replace it with tuna, I said no. After waiting 2 hours, I wanted my 60 euros back. They wouldn't bring it to me the same or the next day, I have to wait 3 days till they transfer my money back on my account. I have ordered approximately 10 times at mr sushi express and the delivering is always slow and personnel is not so friendly. Their service is very bad, they do hardly anything to solve problems with their customers.

I think this place needs new staff. The sushi is good, but the service is terrible. I ordered almost 2 hours ago and still no delivery. In fact, I had to call the restaurant myself in order to be informed about the common delay. They told me that the sushi was ready to be picked up by the deliverer. This makes me question about the freshness of the expensive food I ordered. When I asked for a compensation after this lack in reliability, the girl on the phone was rude and couldn't mean anything. If you doubt ordering Mr Sushi Express or another restaurant. Go for the second.

Do not order food here. The sushi is mediocre. We also got the wrong order delivered, but the restaurant is not reachable by telephone. I have been calling 2 hours straight but i could not reach them. I am never going to order here again.

A culinary experience that I do not wish and do not hope to reiterate. Thinking of the acidic taste of the overcooked rice, the smell of the sushi box and the brownish color of the wasabi brings trauma to my stomach

I'll be honest, quality-price is not bad. Delivery time is always 1 hour late so it sucks. TRUE STORY: I have been ordering once a week for a few months and I always accepted the delay because I knew it. For once, I did not take the order because it was more than one hour delayed (total 2 hours and 15 minutes for delivery) I had to leave home so nobody was there to open the door. The store called me to blame and tell me that they would block me from ordering again! I ALWAYS ACCEPTED THEIR TERRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE AND FOR ONCE I DO NOT ACCEPT SO THEY BLOCK ME! GO FCK YRSF GENTLEMEN!

Sushi is pretty low quality, but it's still okay. Delivery can take a while on weekends, but that's every sushi place. Definitely the best amount/price ratio in town.

Just terrible. Food is not the issue, just the service. Had to wait ~3h for the order and after multiple calls where no one bothered to pick up the phone, I ended up having to go to the "restaurant", filled with delivery scooters, which seems to indicate no one is actually delivering. Ordered sushi through ubereats and it took 3 phone calls and 2h 40min to be delivered. After the first phone call they claimed they have the food ready but don’t have the address, (which they clearly had since it was via ubereats), second phone call they put me on hold and forgot about it and after third phone call they finally said its on the way and should be here any minute. It took 30 more minutes to arrive. The sushi was okay but awful service. Definitely don’t recommend!

I have ordered a 72 sushi Daiwa box, wakame salad, and edamame through the Thuizbezorgd. The delivery person delivered a bag that was all damaged and the sushi box was missing. Thuizbezorgd claims the restaurant does not agree to issue a refund therefore I will not get my money back from neither from Torii Sushi nor from Thuisbezorgd. Also, the numbers provided here on google and on Thuisbezorgd are unreachable and Thuizbezorgd has provided me the 'right' number, although when I called, they’ve told me the manager will get in touch with me and they never did. Don’t order from them, because if anything goes wrong, good luck with figuring out who’s responsible and how to get your money back for food that you did not receive.

After the advice that I should order on their website it became about the discount code, then I noticed the price difference on Uber with the two stores, by that I couldn’t order since the website would not allow me bc only the store that’s too far from my house would be open, despite having been given the advice to order from that store. Anyway a mess. So after calling the two different stores like a ping pong a total of 3 times, getting hanged up once and despite my third attempt speaking with someone who seemed much more interested in addressing any of the delivery or discount issues I had, despite being promised to be called back with a solution, that never happened. I spend more time trying to fix the issue with the restaurants then anything. I honestly think that paying an average of 30 euros per meal, while there’s a big chance you will have to to make the effort yourself to have the service slightly consistent or simply delivered is just completely ridiculous, you are not paying to get a service done, you are completely giving your money away. My advice order somewhere else.

The food is typically nice but they're now 20min late w/ a delivery placed hours ago for a precise time. Response when I called "yeah it's really busy and it's on its way"... Being busy cannot be an excuse for orders that have been placed w/ sufficient warning to enable good planning.

So don’t expect any decent service if you come here. Really basic food, doesn’t taste bad but nothing you cannot buy yourself from the freezer section of the grocery store. The only good part of this evening was the fact it was bought on social deal, and was half the price it should of been. If you fancy a drink on a busy terrace, with slow un bothered service it’s fine. If you want some sort of nice dinner with adequate service, I would skip this. It should have been €88 for 1 wine, 1 alcohol free beer and 6 small dishes and 2 desserts - if you can call them that. Social deal we paid €56. I would not of paid full price.

My go to place for Sushi in Utrecht!! Prices are good and service is top notch. And yes, extremely polite people working here.

I ordered sashimi and sushi, sushi was tasty, but sashimi quality was poor. Tuna was not fresh (it was broken, fresh tuna should not be broken). It is dangerous to eat non-fresh raw fish!!!!!
