Great experience at the Streetfood Club! The food was delicious, with a variety of dishes inspired by different cuisines. The prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and creativity of the menu in my opinion. The ambiance was super nice since the decoration of the place is stylish and i loved the retro aesthetic. It gives the place a unique vibe. It’s the kind of setting that works for anything really, whether it’s a casual lunch, a dinner with friends, or a date night. Service was friendly and efficient. The only minor issue was the kimchi, which was way too salty, perhaps just a one-off with that batch. Aside from that, everything else was spot on. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back myself.

I had the High Par-Tea, which turned out to be a really fun and tasty experience. A playful mix of savory street-food bites and sweet treats, with plenty of variety to keep things interesting. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful, and the balance between the savory starters and the dessert selection worked perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, which suited the relaxed vibe. The restaurant itself is a real eye-catcher. Good food overall, had some really salty bites from the tuna unfortunately. Most food was sadly also barely warm or had too much stuff going on. We could see the kitchen from our view and it appears that food was staying at the counter for abit. Pretty interior however the decor and colours can be overwhelming. Also ALOT of chatter, - lots of girls. Outdoor seating looks way more pleasant.

A Wonderful Surprise! I didn’t quite know what to expect — it had been a while since I made the reservation, and I had forgotten what the photos looked like. What I did remember was that the menu featured exotic dishes, and we were really looking forward to our lunch. And yes, it definitely exceeded our expectations! My Croque Madame was delicious, as were the shrimp dumplings. The passionfruit mojito mocktail was absolutely amazing — fresh and perfectly balanced. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The interior is beautifully styled, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. In short: highly recommended. We will definitely be coming back! 15/07/2025 Just like the first time, we had another wonderful dining experience. This time we tried different dishes, and they were all delicious. The cocktails were fantastic — my favorites are the Bubblicious Daiquiri, the Pornstar Martini Slush, and of course the Passionfruit Mojito. The service was excellent as well. I had booked for 1:00 PM, but due to public transport issues we arrived 30 minutes late. I had informed them by email, and it was no problem at all upon arrival. We’re definitely not done dining here 🤭 and will be back again soon! 25/10/2025 It was my third time here and my girlfriend’s second, and once again we had a delicious meal! The dishes are super tasty and prepared with great care. We’ll definitely be coming back, because we haven’t tried everything yet. Highly recommended!

The welcome upon arrival is very friendly, and you step into a beautiful and welcoming setting that exudes tranquility. The food and drinks were delicious, and the guests didn't overpower you, so it wasn't noisy. The beautiful, clean, and well-maintained restrooms are also a huge plus. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Definitely recommended.

Last night, I went out for dinner with four girlfriends at The Street Food Club in Utrecht, and wow – what an incredible experience it was! From the food to the interior and the overall vibe: everything was spot on. We chose the shared dining menu for €35 per person, which I highly recommend if you’re going with a group. For that price, you get a wide variety of small, surprising dishes, each with its own character and often served with a delicious matching sauce. The food is truly special and unique, the kind of dishes you won’t easily find anywhere else. Think creative combinations, bold flavors, and presentation that turns your table into a colorful celebration. What made the dinner even more memorable is that at the end of the menu, you get to pick one dish to have again, a fun and generous touch that really makes the experience stand out. The service was also excellent. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, they came to our table quickly, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The interior is absolutely stunning. Every room is decorated differently, each with its own unique, eclectic style. The design is playful, bold, and full of personality. The music matched the atmosphere perfectly, fun, upbeat, and trendy without being too loud. The location is also great, right on the corner across from the church, making it easy to find and adding to the charm of the place. The only thing for us as long dutch people, was the space for our legs. The table was quite small, which caused that we didn’t have enough space for our legs. In short: great atmosphere, delicious food, beautiful decor, and top-notch service. The Street Food Club is a place I’ll definitely come back to, and one I’ll be recommending to others for sure.

Visited this gem for the second time. The food here is absolutely amazing. The presentation and the clash of different flavors are truly outstanding. Lightly spicy, sweet, sour, crunchy – everything is perfectly balanced. The food is served quite quickly and the service is also very good. I’ve sat both inside and outside, but I must say the atmosphere inside is much better. The vibe, the music, and the overall ambiance are excellent. I will definitely be coming back more often.

This place is literally awesome! I really liked the environment, the design of the club. The cocktail's glasses are too original together with their names. It's preferable to come here with 4 or more people! The reservation also is preferred because it's always full, now you know why! Cheers

A Pleasant Surprise! We originally came just for drinks, and I have to say—the frozen Porn Star Martini was the best I’ve ever had! It was so good, we decided to stay for food, and I’m so glad we did. Everything was absolutely delicious—we even ended up repeating a few dishes! The entire experience was lovely. I only wish we had a place like this where I live. Compliments to the entire team! :)

Went there for a few drinks and snacks. Chickenwings took over half an hr and when we asked about it, it came out immediately. It's a bit of a cramped seat outside but it's cute by the water. Cocktails are done well with matching containers to the drinks.

We visited the Rum Club for a few afternoon cocktails and it did not disappoint. We arrived without a reservation and even though it wasn't very busy, one of the ladies arranged a seat for us at the bar. The cocktails are expertly crafted and are very delicious.

My son's regular spot in Utrecht, so it was time to experience this for myself. Wasn't disappointed, great tasting food and attentive service. Nice ambience, since this is situated in 2 old wharf or cellars. Limited space, however they have done a superb job of using every inch of these. Professional staff and great music, extensive choice of cocktails, incredible. Outdoor seating is possible if the weather permits. Worthwhile visiting.

Came here for a team brunch and left with a full stomach and a slightly dizzy head (thanks to one dangerously good cocktail — I don't even drink!). The menu leans heavily on seafood, red meat, some mysterious veggie options, and pizza. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share — great idea, because everything was worth trying. The pizza’s solo-sized, not enough for one person. Loved the sparkling water, quick service, and dreamy ambience. ⚠️ Warning for white-meat-only folks: Well... may the chicken gods be with you, because chicken was hiding. Possibly on vacation. This is a red-meat-and-seafood playground. Plan accordingly.

I came in on a rainy Friday night. The hostess never arrived at the stand so I parked myself outside on a wet table. My waiter was attentive but I also suspect got super busy as the night went on as I ended up with someone else. Croquettes were perfectly done and escargot was excellent. Very popular - I’d suggest you maybe make a reservation if possible so they will acknowledge your existence.

A fancy to dine in without fancy pricing. I didn't like the corn chicken as it was explained to me that some mousse was injected into the meat... The result was part of the chicken meat is mushy and meat colour was off ....it looked to me undercooked but waiter told me it wasn't. I didn't eat it. Fish was good.

We were lucky to find a spot on a Saturday afternoon. We had ribs, which were delicious, and the burrata was nice. The calamari were really small, deep-fried, and could have been better. November 2024, Had a real good dinner here. Staff was very attending and enthusiastic they really liked working here. Excellent wine choices. The food was good, loved the main dishes, the amuses and dessert a little less. The wild duck stood out for me, this was an excellent dish. The different kind of breads served throughout the dinner is a nice touch.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant. I must say I was half expecting the classic overpriced restaurants that one often finds in touristic places, but this one was all the opposite: genuine, friendly, with a stellar cuisine with an insane value for money. For a simple lunch we got to taste no less than a dozen dishes, bouchées and amuse bouches - each absolutely stunning with a unique identity. The staff was really the cherry on the top: super friendly and not haughty at all, not intrusive either - we spent 3 lovely hours thanks to them. We're french and used to eating in gastronomic restaurants when we get the chance, but this one definitely hold a special place. Bedankt!

Amazing venue, fantastic food and a unique wine list that in itself is worth the visit. We really enjoyed this beautiful restaurant with its spacious indoor space surrounded by large windows. The five course tasting menu was a mix of modern, handcrafted delights based on fresh, often locally sourced ingredients. Their wine list was extensive and also featured Dutch wines which was a pleasant surprise for us. We found their Dutch Riesling especially well balanced being on the dryer side with the strong acidity one expects from Riesling.

I can't overstate what a treat it was to eat here for a very special anniversary dinner. The venue itself is beautiful and spacious, tastefully laid out so that no table is too close to any other, giving a sense of privacy with no feeling of isolation. The staff here are all wonderful. They're polite, warm and professional. I found it very easy to communicate with them at all times, and they did an excellent job describing the dishes as they served them. The food itself surpassed my expectations, and I was really taken for a journey over the course of the evening. It was unlike any food experience I've had before. There's a very clear and beautiful artistry at work with what we were presented with at every step of the meal, with inspired and considerate use of ingredients. I was amazed! Amazed, and inspired. I had an unforgettable dinner at Hemel & Aarde during my stay at The Nox (also highly recommended). The service was outstanding, thanks to passionate and knowledgeable waiters like Jim and Daan. Every dish was beautifully presented with a perfect balance of flavors, and the wine pairings were spot on, complete with great explanations. An exceptional culinary experience from start to finish. Compliments to the entire Hemel & Aarde team. They are doing an outstanding job together!

We enjoyed a 6-course dinner at Hemel en Aarde in this beautiful, iconic, monumental setting with stunning high ceilings. All dishes were nicely presented and the flavour combinations were intriguing. However, several dishes were not completely balanced taste-wise and were overly salty, which overshadowed the flavour of the key ingredients. The staff was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the dishes and wines and subtly omnipresent throughout the evening. Overall, we had a really nice evening. Thank you!

Service was good at Hemel, but the food wasn't the best, especially for us as meatlovers. Dishes were more vegetarian. The dishes were designed beautifully. But dessert gets the minimum rate! I never want that many spices in my dessert. We couldn't even have one spoon of desserts. The strength of night was tasty wines, though.

This is just a magical place with a soul!! Right from the start you can feel the cozy atmosphere. The nicely waitresses welcomed us with a smile and made sure we felt at home. They were helpful and always showed up at the perfect moment. The varied menu turned an ordinary friendly dinner into a unique feast, full of rich flavors and beautiful colors. There was something amazing in every meal. An incredible adventure for the taste buds!! Chef Manuel took care of every detail of the prepared dish. He is very talented cook who makes people happy eating his meals. The quality is at a very high level, still at attractive prices. This place is definitely created by people with passion. I come here often with the people I love because of the great food and nice location (outside). But today was not a good experience. It took the staff almost 15 minutes to attend us, followed with treating us with annoyance and dismissal due to a misunderstanding regarding our booking — it felt like we were being “bounced around” and left to wait. Unfortunately due to this we chose to leave. Great food and location, but (today) really ruined by the service.

Service and ambiance were excellent. The food was average. Vegetarian plates were tasty, but the meat and fish were overcooked and quite bland. Enjoyed a couple of the hot pinchos. There were no tables outside initially, but we were later given the option to move when one became free. That was a nice gesture, but wish we could have reserved directly outside.

Very nice and informal place. Service is friendly atmosphere is informal and pleasant. Dutch isn't always spoken and rarely a first language. Food and wine is very good. I found it a little pricey for what I got.

We have been here two times before the pandemic. Both times we enjoyed the cold and warm pinchos very much. This time we also ordered some tapas from the menu and a "jarra" of sangria. We liked the sangria very much (not too strong and nice balance of sweetness). The tapas (ribs, ceviche and croquetas) were really tasty. The variety of cold pinchos was nice and we loved the combinations of ingredients on each of them. The warm pinchos were very good too! It definitely remains on our list of favorite restaurants! During the weekend it should be packed but we came here during a weekday at 5pm (when they just Open) and it was nice and quiet and we sat downstairs for the first time.

This is my first time visiting a Pincho bar and i really enjoyed it! For a context, Pincho is the little food that you can see in the pictures (they are different from Tapas because they are served in a cocktail stick). The restaurant serve both warm and cold pinchos. There's there ways you can get your food: 1.For cold pinchos, you can go to the counter and pick the ones that you like; 2. For warm pinchos, the waiters will walk around every 10 minutes or so with a different ones and ask if you want them; 3. You can also order straight from the menu for a mix of cold pinchos where they just choose them for you. The restaurant also serve some really delicious tapas and you can order them from the menu. Almost all the pinchos we ordered have some funky combination that we have never thought of. Every Pincho is a surprise! On a little side note, we have to order quite a lot of them to be full. For food only (including dessert), we prob spend around 30e per person. For dessert we get a pistachio coulant and a homemade Santiago cake. I prefer the pistachio coulant better but they are both great. For those who like to try unique flavors, this is the place to visit! A little tip: Wait for the waiters to serve you warm pinchos (instead of ordering cold pinchos) because they are tastier (imo). Would definitely come back again.

So its the first time trying all vegetables based dishes for dinner and i have to say i was surprised. The food tasted good and it was pleasant. Only 3 stars for service because it took me 3 hours to dine (5 dishes) and i had to push to bring me plates. Overall ok

Very good plant-based restaurant. The atmosphere was very cozy, the staff was welcoming. The food was nice- apparently the menu is seasonal and they change it often. I had the 5 course dinner. I loved 3 dishes, 2 were ok. Overall the experience was good.

Incredibly bland food with no taste whatsoever. I was told the vegetable bowl would be warm, it was served on a pumpkin puree base that was straight from the fridge. Unfortunately, the dish I ordered has never seen seasoning in its life. The bread I asked for on the side was also chewy sourdough. It’s a decent place to work out of, but I’m disappointed with the food as I had been really excited to try it. It perhaps also has to do with my palate, I’m not used to bland unseasoned food.

Went here alone and was only planning to drink some chai latte and have some snack while (finally) continuing to read my novel, but ended up with a 3-course dinner, and I'm glad I did!! My first time trying Aardperen, I love how they combine it with a savoury chips. Another memorable one for me is how they cook the mushrooms, echt lekker!. Dessert was bread pudding i think? With ice cream and mousse. A refreshing palate cleanser. I got seated at a very comfy couch, quite secluded. 2 hours just flew by. I was quite lucky to get a seat despite not having a reservation. And the staff are lovely! Top notch service.

What a wonderful restaurant! The food, the location (you can sit outside next to the beautiful canal), and the staff—everything was perfect. The menu is varied, with a quick and easy choice between four or five courses. Very tasty and inventive food; the chefs were all fantastic. Compliments to everyone working here. Wow wow wow! This place was full of colour, life, good energy and very tasty food at a very reasonable price. Each plate was more and more enjoyable and tasty with a wide range of flavours, from very noticeable to much more subtle that’s only a finely tuned tongue would appreciate. This is my number one place to eat in all of Utrecht and I can’t wait to come back. Thanks for being so kind and lovely to two tourists.

Amazing fine dining spot in Utrecht. The dishes are small but meant to impress. The have a 6 course set menue but also a a la carte option. I highly recommend going with the set menue though. The wines are amazing and the staff is great at pairing the wines with the food. The pictures are from the set menue!

We had a great time at Fico! Fico offers a spacious layout with great views of the harbor and surrounds. The service was great, and the courses were superb. I would definitely recommend Fico to anyone looking for a fine experience!

We visited this restaurant yesterday in Utrecht and unfortunately left disappointed. The service was extremely slow – each dish took far too long to arrive, and the waiting time between courses was excessive. The food itself was fine, nothing wrong with the quality, but certainly not worth paying around €70 per person. Overall, the slowness of the service really spoiled the experience.

Enjoyed an amazing 6 course dinner! We were sat at the bar on the first floor, which guaranteed us a very personal and direct service. The staff is extremely knowledgable and well informed, as well as able to give us great recommendations on courses and wine pairings. I would advise to make a reservation beforehand. Don’t come here with too large of a group. Enjoy your time here; no need to order much - just order well. Ask the staff what food/wines they recommend.

A wonderful dining experience. The service was very good, friendly and competent. The atmosphere was very nice overlooking the water. And most importantly the food was excellent, creative and well executed. Both the vegetarian and fish menus were full of flavor and beautifully presented. The only negative was the portion size. Even for a fine dining restaurant the portions were on the small size. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Delicious food, all dishes looked like a work of art and the different tastes were a feast to the senses. We were a group of 4 having 2 more friends joining us at the table from course 3 for drinks. We took the 5 course menu and exchanged a few dishes by Chef's Specials. At the start our waiter seemed less amused by the situation, but he warmed up to us.

Decent selection of classic good Belgian beers. Some waiters were really friendly and professionals, others I think they were looking for shortcuts, but overall nice experience nothing too bad. I loved the place inside, drinking a beer there was really good. I loved that each beer had his own correct paired glass. One of the nice waiter also stated that they didn't have any Guinness anymore, so suggested to have another stout; then corrected himself saying that they didn't have any glasses for it, so this is definitely a positive point for their honesty and professionalism. Food wise I think they can improve, my salad was everything but a salad. Overall would be a 4/5, but I didn't like the approach towards some people. Place inside was almost empty, we were there for lunch, most tables were reserved for the evening. Those entering were first suggested to sit outside or in a not reserved table, even if more than 6 hours were between current time and the one marked on the table. I also saw one poor guy that just wanted to see the tap beers at the counter, friendly being sent back outside with the reason that tap beers were marked on the menu. He just wanted to have a look 😅 Then when a tourist group came in with their guide, they could just roam around taking pictures and videos while talking, like it's not a restaurant. It's fine and understandable, the place is very beautiful and probably with rich history, but it was funny to see the difference.

Incredible place. I was surprised the moment I got inside. It’s a huge and nice place. I never imagined to see a Bar/Restaurante in a church. Despite being a bit noise when it is crowded, it’s outstanding! Service incredible and friendly. Carpaccio one of the best I ever had!

This Belgian beer café is a hidden gem with a remarkable setting. It appears to be housed in a former church, which gives the entire space welcoming feel. The location alone makes it worth a visit! I had a few bitterballen with my drink, which were crispy, hot, and just what you’d hope for. The staff was super friendly and impressively quick, even though the place was quite busy. The beer selection is massive, one of the most extensive I’ve seen. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or just curious to try something new, you’ll definitely find something here.

While it's a unique setting with great beer and good food, I found the natural acoustics of the church amplified the sound of everyone too much during rush hour. At some point I had to shout for my friend to hear what I was saying. If I went at a quieter time I would probably have had a much better experience. Recommended: If you're looking for a unique or new experience. Not Recommended: Big groups, business meetings, during busiest hours (unless you don't mind the noise)

Cool place to go and have a beer - they have a huge selection, so you won't be disappointed. The staff are friendly and quite helpful. Reservations recommended, since this place gets very busy (and noisy). They don't do take-aways, but the food is delicious so you probably won't need to take any home :)

Great restaurant with a good, well rounded meals that are tasty and of good quality. They have a variety of banquet rooms, I ate at the top floor which is great, good lighting, high ceiling and spacious for a couple dozen people. They offered a three course menu which was great, a salad, main and dessert. Nice brewery at the lower level.

Delicious food at a gorgeous location near the canals of Utrecht. Very easy to reach by foot from the train station. The interior and atmosphere is fun and modern with a wink to the old days. There is also a friendly house cat.

Was going to stop for food, but we were ignored by the serving staff. We ordered via the online system and our drinks were thrown at us. Comfortably the worst service we have had in our trip to the Netherlands. It’s a beautiful spot, they obviously don’t need to try very hard

They changed menu one day before, so it was a bit confusing to order. The place is lovely and I recommend sitting outside, too bad the canal tables were closed on a wednesday. Had the satay and their own witbier, strong taste and go very well together, the satay is not spicy at all, which I like.

Nice place but the salad was a bit below standard. A bit boring and mainly salad and carrots to go with the goat cheese. Wouldn’t order that again. Fish was good according to my fiends. They have their own beers, that made up for it.

The industrial interior is pretty cool and welcoming, complemented by young and friendly staff. The fusion food is tasty, though the portions are more focused on flavor than quantity. We were happy with the desserts especially Red Beetroot cake.

A mixed bag of food quality and service. Some foods were good, but most mediocre and hidden behind spicy herbs. Service was very different between whatever waiter was helping the table (it switched all the time). The atmosphere was pretty bad, incredibly loud and the industrial setting can work a lot better.

Update October 2018: unfortunately I have to correct the review from 5 to 3 stars after a recent visit. Let me start of by saying the the food is still of incredibly high quality, so hands up for the kitchen. However, the staff is just too below average to match the good food. Although friendly, staff is flow, does not take away used items, let's you sit for ages with empty glasses and forgets things. The waitress even spilled beer from a bottle we ordered and did not give us a new bottle (although 10% of the beer was spilled). Would not come here again anytime soon unfortunately, potty because the venue is so cool. Very nice spot in Utrecht. Food is excellent and portions are quite decent. They also have a nice outside area to enjoy the sun. Definitely a nice place to visit with a larger group but also as couple. Special tip: order the fried bread as starter. Very good!

The place has a great vibe with a loud, industrial feel that works well for a night out. Service was good and the menu had a decent range of food and drinks. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the reviews. The rice wasn’t cooked properly, the sashimi smelled off, and the salad was bland. A couple of dishes were okay, but overall it felt pretty average. It might have been a one-off, but we're not planning to go back.

It’s a fairly industrial setting. Service was excellent and the lovely server gave us advice on nightlife etc. food is small plates so include the chicken and rice combo. Order 2 portions of the dumplings. They come in threes and you don’t want to fight over the spare

For a place with a look and feel like this I didn't expect the food too be so good. That's why I gave 4 stars because the table service is not too great especially for the number of people running around. They could have earned 25% more at least if they paid attention. The look and feel of this restaurant is very cool. Definitely a place to visit for the food. Asian, Eastern mix. Nice mocktails too. Espresso beans light burned (way too much acidity for my taste)

Overall, the place is nice and the food quality is okay, but if you’re really hungry I wouldn’t recommend it since the service is extremely slow. 🐢 From the name I expected a Lebanese 🇱🇧restaurant, but the interior feels more Tunisian 🇹🇳, and even the menu and flavors aren’t quite Lebanese. Not bad. Correct chicken dish, with salad and a little rice side and some sauces. The main plane was correct. On the other hand, the portion of french fries that we ordered on the side was exorbitant, they eat 2 of the portion.

The first time I was there was with a big group, they have a big indoor space for hosting some private events. The food selected was very nice. The second time was there for lunch, super long waiting time. It took more than 35mins for lunch to be served. Also the tables around us were waiting. So we had to order 2 drinks before the food arrived, good for their money, but not nice experience. It was all cold and pre-cooked food, not sure why it could take so long. And it wasn’t very busy at all.

If I could give a zero star, I wouldn’t hesitate.. we went there looking for authentic Lebanese grill..2 families, first we were refused to sit in the area inside which was better for the 2 strollers we had, even though no one was there and the table was not reserved! Coming now to the worst part..the FOOD, we are familiar with Mediterranean food and we know how it should taste and look.. the mixed grill (32Euro per person) was a plate with the following: rice, one skewer of chicken kabob, one skewer of a black kafta ( tasted so bad) and 3 pieces of chicken wings!!!! And inedible old salad that we didnt touch. No beef kabob or lamp chops or lamp kabob..but chicken wings!!! We additionally ordered the batata hurra, it was ok, the mezza plate, tabouleh was bad, baba ganough and hummus were ok.. I don’t recommend the restaurant at all, unless they change the quality of food..and make the grill decent..

The food, service and atmosphere are good, but I went to this restaurant multiple times and I have never found soap in the men's bathroom. I even told them once and the next time I went I didn't find any. It makes me question the general hygiene of the restaurant. Would've given 4 or more stars if it wasn't for this issue.

The food is really good. The staff has become increasingly friendly over the years. I've ben there frequently recently and they're all extremely friendly. Just don't go if you're in a hurry :) but I'd recommend it.

Had a great diner with friends. Decided to have our annual diener at Concours. A great choice. Fantastic ambiance. Tables not too close and too far away from each other. Given privacy, while maintaining cosiness. Music and acoustics were well balanced, supporting a good conversation. We had a table near the kitchen. Great to see the chef and his team at work. We enjoyed a five-course dinner. Well balanced, not too big, not too small. The dishes were good, but not at the level yet that would Concours to be rewarded a Michelin start. A little bit excitement / surprises would be needed for that. Service was good. Wines were great, good selection. We enjoyed various pairing wines. All in all, a great evening. Well recommended.

The chef's menu provided a real treat, featuring a variety of truly delicious dishes. The wine selection accompanying the meal was equally excellent. In particular, I particularly enjoyed the crayfish taco with veal raviolo, and the diverse selection of cheese offered as a finale.

We have visited Restaurant Concours several times now, and it’s always on point. It’s truly one of our favorite fine dining restaurants in Utrecht. During our recent visit, we enjoyed a 7-course dinner with each course complemented by a paired wine. The food composition and quality are consistently superb, with well-balanced flavors and delightful surprises in each course. The service is always warm, attentive and pays attention to details. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Super last minute booking for 6 people, coming from 4 different countries for a 60th birthday. All foodies, all great friends and all wanting something special. Concours was one of the only places in Utrecht that had a table and what an amazing night. Food was exceptional, and they handled the 'preferences' with speed, professionalism and grace. Our waitress was fantastic and we were shocked to discover at the end of dinner, it was her first evening! We had 5 courses and wine pairings, each course and wine being far better than expected. We sat near the kitchen and the chef was personable and friendly throughout. If you're passing through Utrecht and love great food, support local supplier thinking and want a meal punching well above its weight in inventiveness, service, design and friendliness, then grab a table. Yes portions were small, but each was well crafted with interesting flavour profiles and we didn't leave hungry. Only bad comment is, please create an english language web instance and update the images on the site. they don't do it justice. A great evening and we'd be happy to return.

I've had a few fine dining experiences in Utrecht, but this - so far - has been the best. It was the right balance of actual delicious food and impressive presentation (I feel that sometimes one is sacrificed for the other). The service was professional and the atmosphere was relaxed, and not pretentious. Every course was enjoyable, and I would definitely go back. It's on the expensive side, so worth it for a special occasion :)

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. It can be hard to find a high-end restaurant that also offers great and special vegetarian food, but these dishes really blew me away! The service and wine pairing were excellent and the prices were more than reasonable for the experience that you get.

We visited the restaurant during lunch hours and were pleased to find that there was plenty of seating available. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. We ordered the lunch-sized pizzas, which were served promptly. They tasted delicious and fresh. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, adding experience. Lastly, the restaurant itself was clean, and nicely decorated. Overall recommended.

This is our second visit to Vegitalian. Our first visit was last year & we shared a pizza & salad. It was delicious. This year back in Utrecht we booked to ensure we got a table. After a lot of deciding (vegetarians don’t usually get this much choice) we went for four of the smaller plates & shared. Started with cheesy garlic bread, not pictured as we ate it so fast. The next three dishes took a bit longer than expected but were worth the wait. Gnocchi, aubergine parmigiana & warm vegetable bowl. Interior decoration is beautiful & service good.

Delightful gem of a breakfast place. Not only is the decor gorgeous ,the food is delightful and the service excellent. I had the brioche and was not disappointed. Loved the place so much I went back three times while I was in Utrecht . Definitely a place not to miss .

If you're going here for the glutenfree pizza, I wouldn't recommend it. The flavour of the middle is delicious, but most of the pizza itself is a hard and dried out crust that is more suitable as a murder weapon than sustenance. Service and atmosphere is great though! And I think all the other food from my companions was delicious. The chocolate mousse does do a good job of redeeming the pizza experience!

Absolutely amazing experience! The pizza was bursting with flavor – fresh ingredients, perfectly baked crust, and a creative variety of vegetarian toppings that really impressed us. You can tell they put a lot of love into what they do. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best vegetarian pizza places we’ve ever been to. Can’t wait to come back!

Was a special revisit back to this Gem of a place especially with two lovely friends to share it with too, as my wife and I had already been previously before and vowed to come back. Met the lovely Oisin who gave us a great opportunity to sit outside in the glorious sun and watch the day go by. The food was delicious, even better than what we remembered last time we visited, and the best reason we enjoyed it? It was plant based and you could taste the freshness of all the ingredients and they promise the pizzas have to be made within 20mins for keeping that lovely flavour and heat to enjoy it even more. Our dear friends remarked afterwards it was the best pizza they had ever tasted and thanked us for taking them there. I can’t stop recommending this place it truly is a fab place to eat and I have to mention the pistachio tiramisu which was incredible but all in all a wonderful place to have to eat at if you ever get the chance. Thanks to Oisin and the wonderful staff who made our visit so enjoyable.

I am sorry for the bad rating but while the expectations were high the result was very bad. I don't know if that's how it supposed to be but I got the worst brioche for my burger, what I mean ? It was dry like they let it out of the bag for 2 days...this combined with a not so special burger made it a bad experience . I haven't taste so bad brioche burger before. Also the stuff was friendly but when we enter the restaurant many tables were empty but full of leftovers something that wasn't so appealing. For your inconvenience my visit was the previous weekend.

I tried their burger today and do not recommend it. The restaurant was smelly and no other customer was there which was a sign, but i wanted to give the burger a try. The burger was not properly cooked and the bun was not fresh at all. It was totally not worth the money.

We had to reserve more than a week in advance. The food was delicious, very well balanced and distinctive flavors. The main dishes are companied with a set of small side dishes, which complement your hungry and enhances the experience when trying Indonesian food. It is not cheap, but quite worthy, the service was kind and helpful. We will return to explore other tasty dishes.

I just had dinner at Restaurant Blauw Utrecht, and it was an absolute treat. The beef rendang was outstanding—tender, richly spiced, and full of deep, comforting flavor. Easily one of the best rendangs I've had in a long time. What really elevated the meal were the assorted side dishes that came with it. Each one offered something unique—sweet, spicy, crunchy, or creamy—and together they created a perfectly balanced and satisfying plate. A special thank you to Djörvin, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. His warmth and genuine friendliness truly made my day. It’s rare to feel so well looked after when dining alone, and I left with a full belly and a big smile. Highly recommended—I'll definitely be returning!

The food is best for sharing including the rice table, which includes several dishes served with rice. Excellent vegetarian options available. The somewhat small space makes it cozy for guests and occasionally loud. Consider it part of the charm and energy. Definitely worth checking out.

Excellent Indonesian cuisine. The rijstaffel was amazing, we had it for three of us. It was prepared to perfection. It’s a quite a large amount of food served on many side dishes. Service here was excellent as well. I’d recommend making a reservation, it was full and on a Monday evening soon after opening.

We came for gathering but receive a very bad service from waitress. I ask for the beer on the menu but the waitress does not know it and ask me to check with the bar instead, what a service!! We order catch of the day and the waitress brings the food and spill the oil on my friend’s iPhone…seriously unacceptable. No urgently or action to take necessary action just ask after served the plate whether my friend phone is ok or not…. In term of the food, we order variety of food to share and most of the food is very salty. The fried ideas over cooked, rib is mostly burnt so do the chicken. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for dining dinking at the bar is ok.

Great place just the service was to me kind of strange we ordered two ice coffee and a tea but when the waiter came she accidentally spilled some coffee on the table…. Now you would think she gets something would comeback to clean it real quick but no we had to do it ourselves. Was good we had baby whipes with us but otherwise was a bit disappointed….. the food itself was OK would rather advice to go here for drinks rather than to eat.

If you don’t want to wait 1.5 hours after ordering your food, do not come here. We also ordered duck, and it was undercooked inside. The oysters came gritty and uncleaned. I've been coming here every now and then through the years but recently their portions have become really small. If you order a broodje kroket it's not a regular size one but a small one, on a small bun, with nothing on the side. No salad, no sauce, no fries... the drinks are also quite expensive it ended up being more expensive than the food (2 drinks per person). We went to get some extra food somewhere else afterwards.

The restaurant is nice but seems very expensive for their food options. Outside seatings are alright but lots of people walking by, inside pretty big and chic design. The food is pretty good but not sure if worth the price. However, they have a lot of seafood options so definitely recommend for seafood lovers out there if you happen to be in the area and crave for some.

A great place to have seafood. Nestled in the bustling busy street. You will have to go early to be able to find a table here. The food is amazing and there is a lot of variety to choose from. Everything was fresh. It was packed on a Friday evening and the service was a bit slow. We had to wait approximately for 40 minutes to get our mains in. Recommended if you have time.

Decent seafood restaurant with good food and extensive drinks list - especially the wines by glass where they have way more variety than most restaurants. We tried the oysters , fish’s and chips, salmon salad , and the mussels pot - everything was prepared well and we had great service from the staff.

What a disgusting experience. I came with friends and two young kids, we first sat outside but a ferocious woman said the trolley is not allowed. I asked for a chair for the kid but she said there is no chair. Finally we had to move inside. I gave the kids some candy but got blamed from the angry terrified woman . What a day . My mood was ruined ☠️☠️☠️I should notice that the restaurant was empty at weekends. That already meant something….no word further

Lovely food & excellent service. My husband use to travel to Utrecht regularly for work & De Zakkendrager was one of his favourite restaurants. I too have been a number of times through the years and it’s always a good bet for a good meal. So we didn’t hesitate to book for our last meal of the holiday. This time we were lucky enough to get a seat near the garden which was an extra treat.

Beautiful aesthetic and atmosphere thanks to nice views of their internal garden. Food and service were both great. Quality of the food is excellent for the pricing. Update: came back around a year later and was just as impressed with the atmosphere and amazingly good food.

A real hidden gem in Utrecht! The interior is warm and cozy, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a nice meal. I started with the yellow paprika soup of the day. A first for me and it was smooth, flavorful, and surprisingly unique. For my main, I had the Northern African spiced lamb shoulder, which was beautifully tender with a rich, aromatic seasoning that really stood out. On the side, I went for fries with truffle sauce which was crispy, indulgent, and a perfect match. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere felt welcoming from start to finish. The menu offers an interesting mix of dishes, balancing comforting flavors with a few creative twists. Overall, a great experience I’d happily repeat.

De Zakkendrager is my favourite restaurant in Utrecht. It's a cosy little place, tucked away on a narrow lane of Zakkendragerssteeg. You dine in an intimate and relaxed conservatory next to a lush garden with a towering beech tree. On a recent visit for dinner, I skipped the starters, and had some bread with aioli and herbal butter instead. For mains, I had the lamb shoulder, slow-cooked in North African spices, with chickpea cassoulet, coriander and tomatoes, flatbread and yoghurt. The lamb was nicely tender and warmly fragrant with the spices. Most delightful! The lemon tart with meringue and orange sorbet made the perfect balance to finish the meal nicely. Once again, this recent visit reminded me why this is my favourite restaurant in Utrecht. The service was friendly and helpful without being over attentive. I managed to get a table without a reservation, as a solo diner. However, it's a good idea to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

We went to this restaurant two times and had two very different experiences. Once on Friday: the food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and attentive and we had a good time. (I strongly recommend their madeleines, since they serve them freshly baked). However the second time, which was on a Saturday night, was a bit of a nightmare, as the restaurant was really crowded. We waited 45 minutes for a small plate of oysters, and more than an hour for the chicken (we ended up paying and leaving before it arrived cause it had been too long). To sum it up, and overall great restaurant, but very unorganized when particularly crowded, so keep that in mind if you wanna eat there during the weekend.

We went for dinner and had the chef’s menu. The food was good and well prepared, however, none of the dishes were outstanding, the flavours were a bit repetitive dish after dish and no ingredients/flavours/techniques really stood out. The service was good, however, it took 3h to get to the main course and then another good 30-40min until dessert, which ended up being a bit of a slow painful experience. Other tables were having à la carte and the dishes looked great and big portions - probably a better value for money. Overall an overpriced dinner.

An unexpectedly beautiful dinner setting! We sat by the window and had a stellar view of the Dom during our meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive. We loved the zucchini and quail dishes!

Waited 70 minutes for tiny starters. Another 50 minutes for main course. Kitchen and staff works super hard, they just have way too many tables. And too little food for the price - 90 euros pp for 2 courses with 3 kids (who only drink coke and water)

We attended a private company event here, and the restaurant was closed to other guests for the night. The service was impeccable – the staff was kind and quick to refill drinks, which was much appreciated. However, the food was disappointing. While there were plenty of options, especially for starters and desserts, the flavors were bland and unremarkable. The cozy ambiance was a highlight, but unfortunately, the tasteless food overshadowed the experience.

I gave a three star not because i don't like this place. In fact, there's a lot to like about this place: the environment, the service, the presentation of the food (look at the pictures). This place emphasizes on the freshness of the ingredients where they utilize fresh produces from nearby village. However, for me, the taste of the food is mediocre at best. There's no unique combination of flavors. It's mostly just different ingredients being put together on a plate very prettily. Each plate costs around 25-30e. It can get pretty crowded in the evening, so remember to make a reservation before you come.

Great experience. The house smoked salmon was delicious, the sole and wild shrimp a good main dish. The cherry clafoutis was a great seasonal dessert. My partner had the bouillabaisse which was rich and delightful.

Hidden spot in a cute neighborhood (note: not in the city centre) with a lovely terrace in the sunshine. Makes a perfect place for lunch. Friendly waiters. The portions of our choice (1 bread with Brie and pear and two small croquettes with tiny slices of bread) for lunch were not big, but all was homemade and very delicious. The 3 course menu looked promising and very yummy so we will definitely come back for that or for dinner

I went here with a colleague and we had the Jasmijn banquet. The food was absolutely delicious and the 6 courses were sufficient to fill me up. Service is friendly and atmosphere is good. There's also seating outside in the front of the restaurant, albeit that that is on a fairly busy road. We did make a reservation and it was pretty busy, so definitely reserve to guarantee a table. Parking can be found in the streets surrounding the street that the restaurant is on. I thought it was good value for money and will definitely be back if I'm in Utrecht again.

Had a great time at Jasmijn & ik! We went for the vegetarian chef’s choice menu — each course was unique and full of flavor. The main was a bit on the sweeter side for our taste, and by then we were already so full that dessert felt a bit much. We tried two desserts (lemongrass & matcha, and sticky rice with mango) — not really our thing, but that’s just personal preference. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, but it did get quite loud, so chatting wasn’t the easiest. Overall, a lovely experience with creative dishes and a warm atmosphere!

Every time we come here for the past years, the service is terrible and sooo slow. There are always so many staff just standing inside and chit chatting, it takes soo long for them to come out and take your order and when you want to order inside they say someone will go and take your order. Well hello ive been waiting already for 20 minutes for someone and thats why i had to come jnside to order. In the past Ive never left a review giving them multiple chances, but today it wasn’t even busy and thats just unacceptable. We are never coming back, its a shame cus this place is nice near the canal but i guess thats the only appealing thing and bad service just ruins your mood and experience.

Came for a quick snack and some drinks before a concert. The nachos was not constructed well, uneven toppings. Borrel snacks were standard. Nothing amazing. Location is nice and the high ceilings are nice. However they also seemed a bit short on staff/staff were un-attentive so it was hard to get their attention to order, so much so we decided to skip the last round.

The food wasn’t the best and wasn’t the worst. The location is great, super central and beautiful. I would go again as a nice place to catch up with a friend.

Very nice and practical space, the salmon could have been better .. it was a very simple dish for it's price. The beef was very good and the desserts also great. The staff were friendly and kind.

We had the 3-gangen menu, which is more worth the price than al a carte. The food was nice, some dishes were hits, such as the tempura mushrooms and the beef curry, others were misses, such as the sushi with too much mayo and the lamb with a very unappetising sauce on it. The mango macaron dessert was good. The pandan cocktail had a very delicious pandan aftertaste, but too much lime, which made it more of a sour instead of a daiquiri. Overall fun experience to have dinner with friends.

Very nice restaurant with very polite and helpful staff. Pricing is OK for a restaurant at this location with above average food quality. Most of the dishes are very tasteful and very well prepared. A great compliment to the kitchen staff. Thanks to the half open kitchen you can watch the preparation of the dishes and the kitchen staff works hard, fast and with dedication. May be not all dishes will suit your taste but that will be a personal experience. There is plenty of choice so that should be no problem. We had a great time. We'll definitely return.

Such a nice experience! We were 5 and ordered the 5 course menu (around 34 euros). I ate so many delicious dishes, particularly the spicy jacked shrimp and scallops were from another world. Food presentation was also very impressive. In sum, delicious food for a fair price. Super recommend!

I recently had a a very nice dining experience at Mr. Miyagi. I met with friends from all over Europe, a group of 13 in total. Despite booking a month in advance, they accommodated our reservation without a hitch, and even welcomed an additional friend who joined us last-minute. We ordered our meals via tablet, and the dishes were served in smaller portions, ensuring they were fresh and allowing us to reorder as we wished. This setup was perfect, enabling everyone to choose their dining pace. The staff were excellent in explaining the system to our entire group with a lot of patience. The food? Exceptional. Not only was it delicious and value for money, but the entire staff was also fluent and professional in English, ensuring seamless communication throughout our dinner. Their drinks and cocktails, especially the Pink Damrak gin cocktail, were a highlight for me. My personal favorite dish was the salmon crunchy tacos. My vegan friends highly reccomend the following dishes. The "Buddha gyoza" without butter, "mushroom maniac", and "tofu trouble". The spacious setting meant our large group was comfortably accommodated, with room to spare. In conclusion, if you're a fan of Asian cuisine, sushi, gyozas, and more, I can highly recommend Mr. Miyagi. It's a must-visit!

The food was great, we went for the 5course chef's menu, which was magnificent and very reasonably priced. They took great care with allergies and the service was splendid. Quick, kind, and because of our anniversary we received a very nice complimentary congratulations plate with bonbon chocolates. Would recommend

Really beautiful space and the food was so good! Every dish was delicious and the view was gorgeous. We sat inside and were glad that we did since the weather changed so quickly (see video). It became sunny again about 30 minutes after but FYI the patio isn’t the most rain proof haha. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area! Strolling through the park is super nice to work up an appetite before lunch.

We had a wonderful evening with a big group, the service was great and generous, the menu was really good and most importantly everything was without any stress and no hurry, so we could really enjoyed the dinner with all the wine.

Came here for lunch. The food was fantastic. Great combination of flavours executed well. Great wine selection. Four stars because the service was not great, we sat there for atleast 20 mins before being offered water. We then had to stop and ask them for the wine list, overall a slow start. Just feel like we had to constantly get the service attention throughout the meal.

The terrace right in the Wilhelminapark is the greatest perk of this restaurant. The food is pretty good, although nothing out of the ordinary. Good winelist. Definitely recommended for a nice summer day or night.

They were so attentive and brought a water bowl for my dog. Food was delicious, the ambience was amazing. It was such a beautiful lunch and prices were just fine.

It’s Okay. Nothing More. The Lionfield guys on TikTok would have a field day being outraged over this sandwich. This is the Mario sandwich. So many, many, many people have told me it’s the most amazing thing ever. I’d never tried it—I don’t like queuing during my lunch break. And cash? I’m fine with paying taxes 😉. But I just got back from Austria, where they love cash as much as Mario does. And I was in a good mood. So bring on the Mario! First off, the queue isn’t bad. They work like mad to fill orders. The Italiaanse bol was still warm. Good times! But what the hell is an Italiaanse bol anyway? I’ve never seen them in Italy, have you? That said, fresh bread is and will always be delicious. Mario fills the sandwich with a single slice of nondescript Dutch cheese—because, according to Dutch food law, thou shalt never serve more than one slice of cheese. Then comes some boring Dutch “salami” and a mildly spicy salami that actually deserves the name. The slices are thick, but I’d rather have them thinly sliced and get more of it. Topped off with a generous helping of pickled raw carrots and radish. This is, truly, the most Dutch sandwich. Everything is pitched down enough so no one can dislike it. And at €5, Dutch people won’t complain. There’s nothing really wrong with it, but it’s boring. Utrecht has so much more to offer than this. As always, everyone gets five stars.

Really worth it. They make their own bread and it is probably the best bread for sandwich you can try. Crispy but fluffy, it smells and tastes like good Neapolitan pizza dough. The rest of the ingredients are mostly great quality too (maybe except the sandwich that carries the shop name, a bit counterintuitive). Overall way more than you can ask for a quick and cheap grab.

This place was recommended to me by a local. It’s been around since 1977. I ordered the classic “Mario” sandwich. The meat was good, and the bread was absolutely delicious! I’m not a carrot fan and didn’t realize it came loaded with raw shredded carrots. I wouldn’t say the sandwich was life changing, but it’s a popular local spot with delicious bread. FYI, it’s cash only, and the food was affordable.

Awesome self baked bread with lots of filling got this place famous in Utrecht. But I am more of a fan of their Salami Pizza. It was fluffy and tasted fresh, in short it was the best Pizza I ever had!

The most delicious sandwich! The ingredients make this so good fresh baked buns still warm with the best filling, I had the Mario you have to try this one. Nice spot to sit and eat the sandwich just by the bridge. Nice friendly staff there to help you along with the choices. Great value as well! Cash only so come prepared.

Our sudden trip to Utrecht brought us here—a cozy, budget-friendly Vietnamese restaurant that you might want to visit. We had Hoanh Thanh Chien (chicken and shrimp wonton), Pho Anan (beef noodle soup), and Com Chien Ga Vit (chicken and duck fried rice). All the dishes were delicious, but the pho was definitely the standout. We also tried matcha tea and Vietnamese coffee for the first time. We didn’t enjoy these much. Vietnamese coffee is certainly different from the coffees we’ve had before. Since it was our first time trying these drinks, we don’t have a reference point for comparison, so I’m not saying they’re bad—it’s just that they didn’t suit our taste buds. The service was quick and friendly, but one negative point I’d like to mention is that the washroom was dirty.

Amazing value for money! It’s a perfect hip but casual place to go for a tasty, varied and fun dinner. We particularly loved the dumplings and rice noodle salad, and fried ice cream for desert!

The food is really quite nice, small portions for the price but good authentic Vietnamese flavours. Also really nice Asian cocktails. The atmosphere is lovely but SOOOO cramped to sit inside, which for me loses a star.

This food used to be great but it's gone very down hill. I had the Spicy Tofurama to take away and got very over boiled rice that tasted of water and even had water at the bottom of my salad bowl and half a very brown, stringy avacardo. The girl serving me was more interested in looking at her phone and obviously didn't care about giving me off food. I reached out to custom service with photos and heard nothing back. I used to eat here every week but have had off food a few times now. Not worth €14 a salad.

I seriously love this place!! I love the concept, the space and the staff were so welcoming! There were so many options it was a bit overwhelming but the girl working was so nice and patient helping me choose which one would be best for me. I tried the Spicy Tofurama with chicken and the veggies were so fresh and delicious and the bio chicken was incredible. One of my favorite spots in Utrecht

I've been a long time customer at Sla as a vegan, I'm really happy with their customizable salads and delicious plant based options. But what makes it even better is that my partner who eats meat could also enjoy a dish with organic chicken. It's rare to find a place that cares so well to both lifestyles.

Update 2024: deducting a star, making this three stars now. The bowl portion size has decreased but the price has increased. I’m happy to pay slightly more for a good portion, but not for a smaller one. The ingredients are fresh but I’ve had several occasions where certain ones were forgotten to put on. The preparation time for a bowl can at times exceed 30 minutes, which seems unreasonably long. Review 2023: Great selection of bowls for a fairly reasonable price! The vegan options are all very tasty, but there could always be more of course. One thing to improve upon: consistency of portion sizes. I’ve had bowls where 90% was rice, and I’ve had other bowls where rice and toppings were nicely balanced. It’s a shame sometimes

Used to be really good pokébowl. Now it’s just a half-mixed bowl of mushy rice with a bit of salmon thrown in. Even the taste feels different than what it used to be. Honestly, it’s a pass, better make your own at home

Nice place located in the centre for fresh and healthy meals. You can make your own poke bowl or substitute the base for their standard options. I went for the Witzela and substituted the rice with salad and grains instead. Also have the option to add extra proteins. Very handy option if you don’t feel like eating too much carbs, and more protein and vegs

Sadly, a prime case of shrinkflation in Uteecht. I've been a customer of this poke perfect since it opened years ago. Ever since, portion sizes have steadily decreased whilst prices rise. This is expected to some degree with inflation, but the same bowl I bought for 11-12 euro a few years ago is now more than 22 euro whilst the portion is significantly smaller. When you get a large bowl, staff does not actually proportionally increase protein and toppings. Instead, you get a little more topping and mostly way more rice, which seems quite deceptive. Not only this, but the service is bad. The personnel is often rude, which is impressive as we're not able to actually order with them anymore. Instead, everyone, regardless of whether you order online or show up in person has to order through a terminal, which means you wait longer when you get a bowl in person than if you were to order it online, which seems backwards. They won't even let you order in person if it's not busy. I used to love this place, but the rude service and disproportional shrinkflation has me seeking alternatives. A real, real shame.

Awful delivery service. We've ordered two bowls. - There was a lot of soya sauce, the bowls were more like soup rather than bowls. Extremely salty, almost impossible to eat; - In one of the bowls several topings were missing; - We ordered two large portions and got two normal-size; Overall, disgusting place, especially for this price. Top-notch experience in the Netherlands. It offers the perfect combination of delicious food, superb wine pairings, a great location and interior, and remarkable service. You can choose between 3, 4, or 5 courses (€49/€54/€59 respectively), and are free to pick any dishes - though no more than one main course. You may also opt for an additional starter. Was especially impressed by the main course: fried cod fish cheeks with potato terrine and bok choy. The starters—steamed oyster with spinach, smoked fish rillette, and three types of beet opened the door to a world of unforgettable flavors. Everything was beautifully wrapped up with a fascinating dessert: koji parfait with caramel and fermented garlic. Waiter was delicate, knowledgeable, and calm. Highly recommended!

Exceptional restaurant in every way. Warmly greeted from the moment we arrived. Really great selection of drinks, including a home made vermouth. Very flexible menu with the restaurant relaxed about how many courses you do or don’t order. Matching wines for an extraordinary €8 a course and again flexible per course. The food is stunning and large portions. Using different cuts for an exceptional experience. Great vegetarian options too. Great buzz in the restaurant and super staff. A must see.

Creative and innovative dishes cooked with care. I really like the pre drinks, the eclair pastry and the tempeh dish. All was yummy.

We had an amazing time at Héron. The food and drinks are great. We had an oyster as an appetizer, it was good. Then we had sweet potato with coffee shoyu, as starters, which was amazing. Finally we had fish as the main course which was also great. We also love the non-alcoholic drinks which have a wide variety of unique tastes, such as a combination of matcha with black berry. The service was great.

Heron was a nice gourmet experience with a very good service and wine combination. We ordered oysters and aspargus as a starters, later on continued with deer with fresh garlic and some filet americain. The plates looks pretty. Only thing the starters were a little bit tasteless but the main dish was amazing. Plus point to their homemade non-alcoholic wallnut-apple juice that was the best drink I ever have and their wines were also unique and tasty.

Upfront, this restaurant maybe isn’t for everyone. Not in a “pretentious you wouldn’t get it blah blah” kinda way but because not all the flavour and texture combos are to everyone’s tastes. Preserved, pickled, and fermented flavours and textures are very much a love it and hate it thing to many. That said, if you want to taste things you’ve never tasted before or even considered being tasty this place is for you. Menu changes per the seasons, ingredients are local, and the knowledge and passion of the people working there is on another level. If you can’t pick they are happy to pick for you. We picked our own food but left drinks (mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic) up to the waiter. Pairings were fantastic, and the dishes we had were perfectly portioned and put together. Service is incredibly warm and friendly, and every dish and drink is explained in detail. You’re left to enjoy yourself and take your time, yet you never feel unattended. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy something different, and I cannot recommend this place enough

Maeve is a pretty good restaurant, though I found the price-to-quality ratio slightly unbalanced. The service was good, but the real standout was the atmosphere: classy yet cozy, with a thoughtfully curated music selection that added to the overall vibe. One drawback was the table arrangement. The seating felt a bit too tight, and when the restaurant got busy, the noise from surrounding conversations somewhat disrupted the otherwise magical ambiance. The food was enjoyable for the most part. We loved most of the dishes, three were absolutely top-notch. One dish, however, had an overly strong fish flavor, reminiscent of when fish isn’t quite at its freshest. That said, another fish dish that my boyfriend got as a main course instead of the meat was exceptional. It was one of the most interestingly prepared fish dishes I’ve ever tasted: crispy on the outside, yet soft and juicy inside. The dessert, unfortunately, didn’t leave much of an impression. It felt more like a mishmash of components than a cohesive dish. On a more positive note, the wine list was extensive and impressive. Overall, I would recommend Maeve. Despite a few minor flaws, it remains one of the best fine-dining options Utrecht has to offer. Also, it has a Michelin star.

A gem in a city that isn’t known for its culinary tradition. Interesting flavours, good use of local produce en great wine pairing. The chef and sommelier are not afraid to experiment. Knowledgeable staff. Nice and laid-back. I might be wrong, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are down for a Michelin star in a year or two…

One word: Perfection. The food, the wine, the atmosphere, the staff, perfection. Highly recommend. All the combinations of textures in the dishes, the subtle flavour nuanses, it all came together perfectly. Everything in the dishes complimented each other, even to the smallest detail.

Maeve after a number of visits still the best restaurant in Utrecht from my point of view. Great food with very nice vegetables and acidity balance / freshness, top wine list and love both the maitre and sommelier. Glad they have a michelin star now as recognition.

The food was good but there were 2 plates that I tasted too salty, that's was pity because taste good but the oversalted the vegetables was not good, this make me cannot enjoy the menu as I wanted. I feel a little disappointed for this kind of restaurant, do not check very well each plate( was not only me plate, was from my sister too) we we have 2 times salty food. Paring wine was good, I really enjoy same as not alcoholic drinks. Thanks to the sommelier for the recommendations. Service was good but I did not like that always want to fill up your water glass, we did not wanted because we wanted to know how much bottle we are drinking, that part i did not like, will be better if they leave the bottle in your table so you know how much you are drinking.

It's a fresh experience, the food, the atmosphere. Not like others they focus on the real pure taste. No over seasoning or too much sauces to impress everyone 's taste buds. They have a wide range wine selection, only pity it's on the pricy side. It's a raising star restaurant in the city centre, a hidden gem with the potential.

Nice restaurant wrt ambiance and staff. Presentation is nice. Food itself is average - flavour combination should be improved, and the food prep should be improved. I.e. the rice was overcooked.

We went there in a small group of five food lovers including guests who were in Utrecht for a couple of days. The location is really nice, close to the city center, and easily reachable from public transport, car or bikes. From the outside it looks like a cozy place next to the canal with tropical vibes. It reminded me of cafes and restaurants from Ubud or the rice terraces in Tegalalang. We were immediately offered multiple tables. The service seemed prompt and helpful. We started with a round of tropical cocktails and Indonesian starters. Cocktails look amazing and it looks like they are well-curated not only in terms of ingredients but also in greater details, about how they are presented and served. Sate ayam were amazing. We also ordered two dishes with jackfruit - one of them was nice but the jackfruit sate tasted a little more processed than any other jackfruit dish I've ever eaten. I felt that the food was nice but our table had a mixed response. The recipes are slightly modified to be a little less spicy but the waiters offered us a variety of sauces on the side which worked really well with the food we had ordered. The main course dishes were also nice. The staff were very friendly and I believe they should get additional points for that. If it were only for the staff and the service, I'll say that this place is better than Michelin listed restaurants in the city. Overall, I feel if you're interested in a quick bite and a drink next in a relaxing neighborhood, this is a place worth visiting. The food definitely looks very well presented. But if how the food tastes is only your preference, I'd rather ask you to wait for the management to take a conscious decision about what the recepies should be like. They are just one step away from authentic Balinese experience. We had a nice evening. Because of the memorable drinks, pretty pictures, and friendiness of the staff, I have to mark it as a 5-star (maybe a 4.9).

We had a dinner for two on a weekend evening. We came away with a great experience. The food is Indonesian, and they have some good cocktails as well. We loved the slightly funky tropical neon ambience. The service was excellent and speedy. Yes, you don't get table service in the times of corona. You have to order through an app (QR code you scan at the table), and the food is brought there by very efficient staff. I also had a jokey - conversation with the server about getting a custom cocktail for myself (all in good fun!). Finally onto the food. It was amazing. We had slightly low expectations since we're Indian and like our food extra spiced. We expected something more suiting the Dutch palate. However the food hit it out of the park. We tried the bao buns and the rendang as our main dishes - both were spectacular. And the Balinese fried chicken was just as great. All in all, we're glad we came here. Excellent food, excellent ambience and excellent service. We'll be sure to come again.

I went there with bunch of friends on Friday night. We reserved the place in upfront because it's busy on Friday night. The cocktails were good and the food was also delicious. They had vegan options as well. Recommended for the atmosphere. Decoration of the cocktail is 10/10. I would like to go there again. Vegan spring rolls were amazing too

Exquisite and delicious food. I ordered the chicken and the chocolate mouse and were choices. The environment and set up is incredible, and the staff is super friendly. I really like the app to order the food, is seamless, and contact less.

First time here, liked the food! Very nice interior and nice staff. Really like the Pandan Creme Brulee, their Loaded Rendang Fries were also quite good. Didn't enjoy the Veg Gyoza and Chicken Rice Paper Roll as much, but they were still good. Had a great time and will defenitely come back to try more of their cocktails!

The place is a very cute place by the canal, next to the train station. We came with a reservation and we had a nice table by the window. The staff is polite and very helpful. The prices are initially thought to be good, which in the end I think are high compared to what we ate. The food was not well prepared, lacking taste or having very bad pieces of meat (e.g. pork baos), and we couldn't finish our meal. The fries were very good though. Unfortunately we did not have cocktails, which look very nice from the photos.

Amazing spot for gluten free and plant based food. The whole menu is gluten free, so perfect for celiacs. We sat out on the terrace on a lovely warm evening and had the sharing deal for 2 - 8 of the small plates - which turned out to be tons of food! Excellent service and a good selection of low alcohol beer if you are into that. Definitely recommend!

Almost everything is plant-based 💚 we had the breakfast platter and the vegan ricotta was a positive surprise (I don’t usually like vegan cheeses), the cheesecake was just perfect. The atmosphere is calm and chill, and the staff attentive and efficient

The food looked amazing, but we were a bit disappointed. Nearly a year ago, it was so much better. This time, the dishes weren’t hot enough, and something from the menu was missing. No one told us beforehand, and we only realized it after the meal arrived and asked.

I was recommended by my friend and I was not disappointed. I ordered sunflower risotto and I really liked it. The menu is very different but also interesting and delicious. It's a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant, so it was good for me as I am also lactose intolerant. The ambiance was also good, though I didn't get a chance to sit outside as it was raining. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something new to try.

They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner - almost everything is vegan, and everything is gluten free!! I’ve been coming here for over three years & it’s always delightful. Food was fairly tasty but honestly the service was shocking. The young girl serving us was cheerful but clueless about almost everything. She needed constant chasers for drinks and food orders, and then she served my (sober) friend with alcohol beer - which she drank before realising - after she’d clearly ordered 0.0. There are far better veggie places to go in Utrecht so we won’t be back.

Sooo good! I ordered Gys cilbir and even before tasting, the aroma of the spices already got me. Then I tasted it and just loved it. Everything in the dish was flavorful and you can really tell the ingredients are high quality. Now, don’t expect a very large portion, but it was still so satisfying! I also tried one of the juices and the cake of the moment – if I could, I would just keep ordering more dishes. The atmosphere inside and outside is really nice, and the staff are very pleasant. Super recommended, and waiting to come back

We were walking around the gracht on a warm evening looking for a place to eat. The terraces were jam packed but luckily we saw just a single open table at Broadway and snapped it up. From start to finish the service ag Broadway was excellent, honestly the best I have experienced in Netherlands after living here for almost 2 years. Good service is something I don't find often here. Another thing I don't often find is a good steak, in fact I have only had bad steak experiences. Until now..... The sirloin was perfectly cooked and ate like fillet, I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken as well as my daughters burger was excellent as well. The staff were very accommodating with my daughter's burger request which I appreciated.

Really loved it here. The food was on point, and the service was amazing! When ordering our drinks and food I ordered an aperitif and also asked for a red wine to come at the same time that my steak was served, and this happened exactly as requested. These small details make all the difference! There was a large and noisy table beside us that the staff managed exceptionally well.

The slightly smoky chicken in the salad was tasty. Between the ribs and the steak in the mix, I preferred the ribs. They were tender, almost falling off the bone, with a sweet flavor. The view of the canal is also nice.

I am only making this review for other people to judge by themselves. We had dinner there, our main courses although a bit on the expensive side were very good. The same cannot be said for the starters. We got the pulled pork which was basically a joke getting two crackers with a bit of pulled pork at 10 euros and the best part... the chicken wings. The chicken wings were RAW, even though two waitresses and the chef tried to convince us that its slowly cooked... I still see a RAW chicken. The pink on the chicken I can understand, i cant understand the blood on the bone. I wouldnt be so adamant to do this review, if these people were not so persistent that this chicken is not raw and i dont understand how its cooked. I will add a picture so people can judge for themselves.

The restaurant’s environment was fine, but the overall experience was very disappointing. Both my wife and I ordered our steaks medium. However, what we got was completely inconsistent: my steak was basically well-done, dry and overcooked, while my wife’s steak was the opposite — extremely rare, almost blue. To make matters worse, the manager-level staff member who served us was expressionless, cold, and unapproachable throughout the evening. Because of that attitude, we didn’t even feel comfortable raising the issue and simply gave up. Compared to the warm and attentive service we often receive at local restaurants, the contrast here was striking. No matter how good the food could be, such poor execution and lack of care make it very hard to consider coming back. (Photos attached show the actual steaks we were served.)

Had an amazing dinner at Broadway American Steakhouse in Utrecht. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was very friendly and professional. The location is fantastic, right by the canals, with a beautiful view over the water. Highly recommended if you love great steaks, a cozy atmosphere, and a unique spot in the heart of Utrecht!

Nice restaurant, available for walk in but sure you can book. Nice service here, all friendly and helpful staffs. We had oysters, nice and fresh. Grilled octopus also nice and tasty. We ordered Fruit De Mer for one person and it's BIG! So we end up sharing them. We had half crab that I think it's a bit too cold but ok to eat. And recommended chocolate bavoroise, one of the best chocolate dessert I ever had!

The Seafood Bar is exceptional. Calling it five stars doesn't do our experience justice. The Mixed Grill was utterly delicious—perfectly cooked, seasoned beautifully, and a true feast. The Kids menu Fish and Chips were equally fantastic. To top it off, the staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. For great seafood and impeccable service, this is a must-visit!

Food was amazing, brought my family who was visiting and this was their best meal in the Netherland. The service by Gina/giua? was all the best we’ve had in NL! This should honestly be the standard and example for all other restaurants :) prices were super reasonable and I’m gonna be coming back for the vongole so often!

Excellent meal in Utrecht; food was very good, service was friendly. Only complaint would be the terrace was not really a terrace - just tables set out on the cobblestones, so we asked to sit inside. But the environment indoors was nice. Will definitely visit again!

We popped into De Rechtbank for lunch on a super hot day and couldn't have been happier. The terrace was a great spot to cool down, the dishes were delicious, and the staff was absolutely amazing!

The food and service is great! For starters we had a salad and the tatami, both of which were delicious. For mains we had two types of meat (which was SO delicious) and the risotto (which was ok). And we finished with the Eton mess and the trio of chocolate for dessert. Both the desserts were SO GOOD! Will definitely go back.

Good food, with proper dressing and flavors selected with care. Outside area was nice and smartly arranged. Sadly, the service was laughable, performed by a handful of inattentive students who didn't bat an eye about missing our order or focusing on anything except their own banter. Sad but true.

We went there just by chance, but was a great surprise. Everything was perfect and great combination of dishes. For sure we'll come back here

We had a lovely dinner experience with attentive hosts and servers, fluffy bread and appetizers before, followed by a four course meal which we really enjoyed! The vegetarian menu was innovative and delicious, don’t skip the sweet dessert! We loved the truffle risotto, creamy cauliflower, assortment of vegetables, and sorbet with the golden rose. We drove in to Utrecht in the evening and our hotel concierge was able to find us a reservation at this amazing place. We had limited choice as we needed a table of 8. I went for the 4 course vegetarian and almost liked everything. However as a general theme, everything was too creamy for my taste. Staff and service was both great. The price is also OK. Wine also fine.

Second time Florent for me, food was ok but the two mains were unfortunately too much alike. Too much of a truffle oil aroma, glad we didn’t add the fresh supplement of truffle. Wine pairings were under par, very little explaining “this red wine is from Australia”. Ok. The first time was great, it’s too bad some elements were missing like the great host I had the first time.

It’s an alright place that’s a bit less crowded, however, we were there on a busy day and literally wouldn’t be seated. They said lunch would take half an hour but eating from a sofa isn’t ideal. The apple crumble clearly came out of the freezer, warm but hard apples. They have a good selection of beers though.

Went there with a bigger group and everything went really well! The communication before the reservation went very smooth and we had a nice dinner there! We had some really nice appetizers to share, and I had the vegetarian burger which was quite nice! They have quite a variety of drinks as well, including beers. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall it was a very nice experience!

Great Dutch food in Utrecht! We needed a place to eat at noon, after walking around Utrecht in the morning. I saw this place near us recommended on here so we gave it a spin and it sure surpassed our expectations. The food was really cozy and heartwarming, accompanied by great, friendly service. The place is situated in a nice, quiet tree-born square. They were also hosting a delightful jazz band accompanying our eating, part of their culture-agenda. Would definitely recommend!!!

I find it very weird that the staff, not all of course, but mostly treat the international customers very badly! I observed it very closely and the staff are very friendly and nice towards Dutch people, and very rude and sometimes aggressive towards non-Dutch speakers! Is this place non-Dutch unfriendly kind of a place? if so please let us know so we don't come here and spend our money and nice time!!!!!!

Cool spot with live jazz playing — gives off a great vibe, especially on a late summer or autumn afternoon. Only downside: the service. They’re quick to seat you, but after that it feels like you’re invisible while they do their own thing.

On planning my trip to the Netherlands - a country I was about to visit for the first time - I decided to stay in Utrecht instead of Amsterdam despite the fact that Amsterdam is one of Europe's most iconic cities. I felt that Amsterdam could do with one less Brit falling into a canal and on seeing that Utrecht is actually called 'Little Amsterdam' then that would be an excellent alternative choice of experiencing Dutch culture for a few days. When I got there. I was happy but I was also hungry too so near my hotel was Hofman's and it turned out to be a perfect choice as I went in there daily when I was in Utrecht. I had the same thing daily which was beef rendang and it tasted lovely - well, so much so I had it again and again because when I returned to England the chances of myself eating beef rendang is next to zero. Add to the delicious food, it had a great atmosphere and great service. However, despite all these great things about it, the best thing about my experience there was I got talking to some of the guys there and we would talk about travel (and the delights of Manchester) football (the fleeting fortunes of the mighty reds as well as the unfortunate business of Ajax losing to Alkmaar) and I don't know if they did this on both nights because they thought I might be lonely and might have wanted some company. Being a worldwide traveller like I am then you get accustomed to dining alone and have done so from Osaka to Iquique - being a solo traveller means it is a solitary endeavour both mentally and physically. If they did think this then it shows their wonderful empathy and kindness that I might have wanted company. I was happy to talk to them because they were interesting and pleasant and an absolute credit to their families as well as their workplace. A review can talk about the food and the prices (both were excellent by the way) but sometimes the humanity of such places need to be highlighted and I am happy to do this with Hofman in this review so it gets a full five stars from me.

Food was awesome, service was great, and the atmosphere was nice as well. We had the private chefs table and would definitely recommend it for groups between 8-10. Wines could've been better hence the 4 star.

Had dinner with hubby, ordered the 5 tasting menus. The service and atmosphere was great, also the wine, the server offers very njce wine selection. The food however is boring. It has no wow effect in term of taste. The best part was probably the cheese selwction. The dessert is too big and meh! I was wondering if the food change every month? Would love to change my mind!

We came to celebrate my birthday and we had the best time. Kit is an absolute sweatheart, and the surprise menu of the week was beyond delicious. Recommend +++ !!

We just had a great night at C'est ça. The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and nice and the wine pairings are great with the food. I felt like most reviews missed what meals were included into the 5 course surprise dinner. While these meals change every week I believe the cheff will deliver great quality time and time again. Our first dish was some fish fried on the skin with a salad and some freshwater lobster salad. Our second dish was rootcelery truffel soup with bacon and fresh bread. Our main dish was venison with grilled chicory and cauliflower with a greatain of potatoe and brussle sprout and a red wine gravey. Our fourth dish was a cheese platter with 3 different kinds of cheese, fresh bread and a fruit compote. Our fifth dish was a parfait of cherry with chocolate mouse topped with almonds. All dishes were perfectly balanced and were amazing, even ingredients we didn't expect to taste to good in advance were amazing in the dish as a whole. I now understand why people rate this restaurant so highly it's definitely worth every penny if you have the money to try it.

Las minute booking and we were excited to try out the no menu style. The food was very good but the portions are a little small but naturally like the style of the restaurant. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the service was very slow, took ages to get anyone attention and the food takes quite a while to come out.

Such a difficult review. The most important- the food was amongst the best I have ever eaten. Fantastic kitchen. Service was brilliant - but failed after dish 3 of the 5 course dinner. Loooooooong wait for the next dish. And while enjoying the fantastic plates- I also had to suffer from the horrible acoustics of this restaurant. I just wanted to scream -“Shut up! Eat toffee!” To the other customers. Or rather -“add some textiles to the walls!” To the restaurant. But the food was amongst the best I have ever eaten!!! But if this restaurant is to get *** well food is there. Service almost there. But noice level? No way

I had a very nice dinner with a friend here. The caviar was super flavorful and the wagyu was amazing aswell. I really noticed how the flavors are mixed together in every dish. The wines were matching with each dish and tasted very good.

Had an amazing experience. Went there for dinner on reservation. We started with a charcuterie ,which had an assortment of ham. We had chosen a 4 course surprise meal. Initially I was a bit skeptical about the surprise meal concept. But it was a actually amazing. Each dish was great. So we had a salmon tartare, a sea bass dish, veal and a dark chocolate panna Cotta. Would love to visit again for the next surprise. Also, hospitality was great.

We had the five course menu which changes every couple of weeks. The food was excellent and the service was even better. However it did take some time for the food to be prepared and we spent 10 to 20 minutes between dishes. I believe the kitchen is a bit limited and understaffed for the place when it is full so I would recommend going at not so popular times. However as you can see we enjoyed the dinner so much I still believe this place deserves 5 stars.

Caught Billy Strings for 2 consecutive shows in the Rhonda theater at the Tivoli. Great place. Design keeps everyone close to the performers. Sound was off the charts. Looking forward to my next gig there!

Honestly this place is very nice and well designed. Went to see foster the people and while there are like 2.000 people the place feel intimate. Staff very friendly, smoking balcony, affordable drinks, great location! But why on earth do you serve Bud and Pepsi?? Both the worst brands on the planet!

First time in the Tivoli. I had the pleasure of attending Ensemble Hemiolia's "Concerti Grossi XXL – Corelli and Melani" concert. The venue's seating is steeply raked, which guarantees a fantastic line of sight from every seat. The acoustics were equally impressive. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere; it's wonderful to see how much passion the Dutch public has for early music—a level of enthusiasm that is quite distinct compared to audiences in Germany.

Really great venue with multiple entrances and a few stages from what I heard. We had an incredible time here and would return!

As a venue it brings a lot of great bands, but it get really crowded and it gets really uncomfortable.

Honestly, this was a place my dutch friend recommend but i didn't quite get the vibe. Yes the atmosphere is nice and the coffees are good but I wouldn't recommend the food. It was very basic, nothing special and the portions could have been bigger in my opinion. Service was nice but could be faster.

Had a nice breakfast there. The place is beautiful, price is a bit more than it should be. Atmosphere is (was) so nice & calm till they decided to have a job interview right beside me, in the dining room. A private business room would be good. But hey, all I heard from it was Gezellig 😇

We visited this popular spot and it offers a beautiful interior and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff were friendly, but the service left a lot to be desired. We booked Deluxe High Tea, there were long delays between the tea and food service. The time to wait between and the soup were way more than 30 mins. While the savory elements of the high tea were great, the sweet options were disappointing—overly dry, too sweet, and lacking flavor. Overall, it was a pleasant setting, but the slow service and unsatisfactory desserts made it fall short of expectations. Might visit again for a cup of coffee, but won’t book high tea again.

Great place if you crave some escape from the city. The interior is careful put together to evoke the different continents and awaken traveling desires in visitors. The staff is super friendly and the service fast. Many options can be made vegan.
