Loved the whole vibe! Didn't burn out tongues lol the coup was awesome, wasn't kidding about it being creamy. Grilled cheese was also a classic but didn't get a picture of it. Nailed it though, super crispy.

Fair prices, nice options and good portions. Small soup and half sandwich make a good lunch meal. Tomato & Tortellini soup was tasty, Tarragon Chicken Salad was good (not “great”, but I’m a chicken salad snob). Give any of their locations a try; you won’t be disappointed. “Tell ‘em Hal n’ Jack sent you.” “They won’t know what it means but tell ‘em anyway.” 🐮🐮 😉

You can never go wrong at Burnt Tongue. The 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich and ravioli-tomato soup just gets better each time! Try this spot for delicious food that’s quick and affordable. There will be nothing left and you won’t want to give anyone “a taste!” 😊

I was hesitant about this place at first but still decided to give it a try. We ordered the Moroccan soup and the peanut chicken soup and it was absolutely incredible! Both soups had their distinct flavours which was simply amazing. The french oinion grilled cheese was a great pairing with both soups. 😋🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Definitely returning just because the menu looks fantastic, there's lots of items my fiancé and I would like to try! We shared the Cheesey Crab Fries which are the most expensive thing off the menu and they were really tasty, would definitely get them again but next time we really wanna try the Bangkok Fries. Our sandwiches were decent. The bread is very good and toasted perfectly but our only complaint is that we both think they should have more filling. I got the Buffalo Chicken and as tasty as it was it could used more chicken and cheese. My fiancé got the Butternut Squash sandwich and that was very tasty as well but again coulda used just a little bit more. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but the place is very tiny and it was very busy and crowded when were there. Again, will absolutely be coming back to try more including the soups and salads which seem to be highly praised. Would recommend stopping here for a bite to go if you are in the area!

We had the French Onion Sandwich with an order of regular fries. The sandwich was delicious! Loved the caramelized onions and cheese. The fries were plentiful. I thought we had made a mistake and ordered a large instead of a regular, the serving of fries was so large. The restaurant seemed well taken care of. The bulletin board displayed art created by the staff. Recommended!

I cant remember what the name of this soup was... tortellini tomato soup?? With a side of grilled cheese. Oh man.. you guys, this soup combined with the grilled cheese will make your eyes roll to the back of your head. It’s so damn good. I would drive all the way back there just to have it again. Well done burnt tongue well done. The flavours were so great together and it wasn’t too tart or sweet or salty.. it was just right in every way possible. I actually left then went back to buy some to take home to #toronto but they ran out in the half hour that passed!! Must be a patron favourite? Definitely a stop on the way to Niagara Falls from now on for me!

Born & Raised on James Street North is a true gem in Hamilton’s dining scene. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and full of energy perfect for date night or a night out with friends. Wouldn’t really say it’s a family friendly environment. It is quite loud/busy something to consider depending on the type of evening you’re looking for. We started with fresh oysters that were beautifully presented and full of flavour. The cocktail list was balanced, creative, and well-crafted. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to absolute perfection—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and plated with care. The wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas looked incredible—definitely on my list for next time. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the kitchen takes real pride in every dish. If you’re looking for restaurants in Hamilton with an elevated Italian-inspired cuisine with a cool, downtown vibe, Born & Raised absolutely delivers.

Had a great time, decor was awesome. Service, drinks and food were all great with pretty reasonable pricing. The Burrata Di Puglia starter really stood out. Will definitely return.

I went out for dinner with my partner and in-laws and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We all raved about how fantastic they were and how the atmosphere makes it feel like you are actually eating a meal in Italy. The staff were also so friendly as they made you feel like you were part of the family. Highly recommend for some authentic Italian cuisine!

Amazing good. Great service. Great place to dine, although it gets quite noisy when patrons are filled in. Highly recommend the Spicy Brussels appetizer (not that hot). Overall, most food items were delicious but quite salty (if you don't like salty food, try to remember to ask for less salt with the server). The spots fill up fast so recommend to make reservation. 🌱 Has a couple more vegetarian dishes that are not called out with the Vegan icon on the menu (e.g., Rigatoni Rose).

We went to Saint James in Hamilton for breakfast for the first time, and it was such a great experience! Our waitress, Emma, was absolutely amazing,friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service overall was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot. Can’t wait to go back!

HAMBRGR King William provided us a great meal! The burgers were spectacular, the service was fun and friendly. The only deficiencies were that the food took a long time to get to our table and, well, to get a 5⭐️ rating from me on atmosphere, it needs to be perfect. Rarely is anything perfect. Still, I’d happily go back there again!

Nice place. Service was excellent. I got the 3am in Rome burger. The first bite was delicious but after that it fell apart. Not very structurally sound. My friend got the El Diablo which he said was good. If you want a burger go here.

We’ve tried their Chicago style deep dish pizza a couple times as takeout and dined in earlier this year. Our dine-in experience was a mixed bag, overall the pizza is worth it but the other dishes were disappointing. The restaurant’s atmosphere is amazing and the service was friendly. The good stuff: We had a small deep dish Chicago style pizza and it was tasty and delicious as the takeout ones had been in the past too. It is very cheesy and indulgent. The presentation is also beautiful and definitely worth it having this at the restaurant! It’s a beautiful restaurant and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s a popular spot, we showed up just as they opened and they filled up pretty fast! They made a cocktail as non alcoholic version even though they don’t have it on their menu which is effort I always appreciate. The server also did give a heads up that the deep dish takes about 40 minutes to prepare and we received it about 35 minutes after ordering. The not so good: The Mediterranean salad was okay, the salad had large and uneven chucks of lettuce and peppers which just didn’t seem thoughtfully prepared. And besides feta crumble on the top, the ratio with rest of ingredients weren’t great. We also had the Tortellini Alfredo and this was unfortunately the most disappointing dish. The tortellini filling was bland and the sauce tasted like a poorly prepared can of sauce, there’s no other way to describe it. We did mention this to our server and they did remove the dish from our bill, which we appreciated. The Baked Rigatoni was okay, however, the mozzarella layer that should be done Al Forno style wasn’t properly baked and the dish just didn’t have much flavour. The cappuccino machine wasn’t working and as a note, we had onions in our deep dish pizza and they weren’t fully cooked so perhaps not the best ingredient for this. We would go back for the deep dish pizza and the atmosphere, the rest was unfortunately quite disappointing. P.S. when they say their portions are huge, they mean it! We weren’t and ordered large entrees and they are big, especially if you add a salad. 😅

Found this restaurant while visiting from out of town. The stuffed Chicago style pizza was so ooey-gooey cheesy, and the fried ravioli and garlic cheese bread we had as appetizers were equally delicious. Add to that the quaint atmosphere, and friendly service and you've got yourself the perfect dining experience! I really wish we didn't live so far away, because I would be back there weekly trying out all of the dishes on the menu!

The staff are friendly and helpful. The deep dish pizza will bring you back! I’d have given 5 stars for atmosphere because it was pretty comfortable, but my seat was slightly in the way for everyone going to the bathroom. Oh, don’t forget to have the wedding soup. It was great.

We ordered the 10 slice stuffed pizza and it was excellent. It takes at least 30 minutes to prepare, but the wait is worth it. The pizza is heavy, flavourful, and satisfying. It’s even better the next day after the ingredients have had time to settle. Reheating it in the air fryer makes all the difference. The salad was fresh and exactly what we needed. The soup was also delicious and comforting. Everything we tried hit the mark. The service, however, could use some improvement. There was an open table for quite a while before we were seated. Once we sat down, no one came to take our drink order until we asked, and we had to remind them about the bread they had offered. There didn’t seem to be a strong sense of urgency or attention to the basics of table service. It wasn’t rude, but it lacked that standard level of care you’d expect, even on a busy day. That said, the food truly shines. With a little more consistency on the service side our experience would have been perfect. Regardless, this place has a loyal following for good reason.

Came here on a late night (from out of town) for the famous deep dish stuffed pizza and was not disappointed! This visit we could only get take-out but will definitely be back for dine in experience. Dining room looked cozy and comfortable! Pizza flavour was rich and decadent, can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

I finally made the trip to go to this Hamilton classic pizza joint and I have to say it lived up to the hype. The Chicago style deep dish pizza was thick, gooey cheese, Italian sausage with strong fennel flavour, mushrooms and green peppers cooked perfectly but the best part was the sauce with what looked like fresh basil pieces. I can only barely eat 2 pieces and my wife could only do a single piece. Of course they brought us a box to pack up the leftovers and head home. The wait is about half an hour which is typical for such a thick pizza made fresh. Seating is limited and during peak hours there may be a wait for seating. Service is quick and reliable.

Drove from Toronto to the Hamilton mountain in order to experience Chicago Style Pizza. Preordered the pizza online and timed my drive so I could pick it up when it would be ready. Ordered a sausage, peppers and mushroom pizza. Deep dish. One heck of a great tasting pizza…lots of cheese and the tomato sauce is top notch. The restaurant deserves closer to a 4.5 star as I thought it was a really good pizza but not necessarily on par with some of the restaurants I consider 5 star. So the 4 star rating should be read higher but I wasn’t able to do it with the constraints in place. I highly recommend Chicago Style Pizza. Well worth the drive!

Yummy place! The host is super friendly and nice. The good was very good, actually authentic and incredible portions. I had the fatush and shish tawook. Very good, I would recommend you give it a try.

I am not impressed, the food is over priced, one plate is $35.00 + tax (see photo below) and I don see the value. We asked if we could get some additional rice, they charged us $8.00 extra with tax. There is not enough people to serve customers, only partial service was provided. We had diarrhea after finished our food (dine in). Will not come back. Thank you for the experience. This quality of food and price is not what I expected.

Massive portions! The amount of food you get in an order is unreal! All the meats are quality and full of flavours. A bunch of classic dishes to be shared. The hummus is freshly made and creamy. The staff was very sweet and made the experience fun. Some dishes were absolutely amazing and others were a bit lacklustre. Would definitely be coming back when I’m looking for a big meal that will still have leftovers to take home.

My husband and I always come here, at La Luna on King St. for fresh and delicious meals. The meat is tender and flavourful. The tabouleh and Fattoush salad are to die for. We know Lebanese cuisine, and this place is our favourite. Service is impeccable also. Tisha was our server. We love it. Thank you La Luna! Thank you Tisha! ❤️❤️

Our server was very kind but it took a while after ordering drinks for them to come to order our food, and then once we requested our bill it took about 10-15min to get it. We were a table of 5 and there was only one other table of 2 and a table of 1. So we weren’t sure why it took a while, but the food made up for it. It was FANTASTIC! We tried a few different things but our favourites were the chicken shawarma wrap, the fattoush salad and the falafel. 10/10

I always enjoy La Luna. The food is delicious from the salad to the entrees. Once and a while I will spoil myself and have Baklava. Very rich, and delicious.

We just had an incredible meal at this authentic, family-owned Mexican restaurant and wow—what a find! The flavors were absolutely bursting from every bite, and you could tell the ingredients were incredibly fresh. It’s the kind of place where every dish feels like it was made with love. Be warned though: if you’re not looking for this spot, you’ll likely miss it. Tucked away on a main street, it’s easy to drive right by without noticing. But trust me, it’s worth finding. We went on a Sunday, they opened at 12 noon, and by 12:05 there was already a lineup out the door—and for good reason. The only downside is the parking situation (or lack thereof), so plan accordingly. That said, with how good the food is, these guys are going to outgrow their space in no time. 10/10 – Highly recommend.

My husband and I are fiends for Mexican food - we choose it for 90% of date nights and are always checking out new places in the city. Maria’s is easily some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had. So simple, so FRESH, so delicate and tasty. The flavours and textures of everything are just - chef’s kiss! A must-try. The staff are all so sweet, friendly, personable, and accommodating. You feel right at home eating there. They all work as such a nice team. My favourites are the Aztec soup (trust me!!) and the chimichanga.

Went to Maria’s Tortas Jalisco yesterday with my family and we had a great time. The atmosphere was overall really nice, and the staff were super, super welcoming and patient with us while we decided on our food. It was our first time there, and with a picky 8-year-old, they really made the experience easier. The food was delivered in a timely manner and it was exceptionally delicious. We’ll 100% be coming back. It was extremely busy inside, which clearly shows they’re doing something right with both the food and service. The only downfall was how unbelievably hot it was inside. Yes, it was very hot outside, but there was absolutely no relief from the heat indoors. We were all sweating profusely while trying to enjoy our meals. If the restaurant made any kind of upgrade for airflow, even just a bit, it would’ve taken this almost 10/10 experience to a 12/10.

Ordered the birria tacos with horchata. Super soft meat in the tacos 🤤 and the birria consume was flavorful. Only complaint was limited parking if they are packed best to park on side street and walk over.

Honestly one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. Everything on the menu is a great price for what you get. Very affordable authentic Mexican food. I ordered the extra spicy birria enchiladas. Food was hot and so tasty!! Service was fantastic and I will definitely be back for more!!

Food: - Quesobirria (17.50$) Tacos were adequately packed with a good amount of cheese, double tortilla. Flavour is very subtle all around. Good texture. Consomé doesn't have much meat if at all. I would like if they gave a bigger slice per lime and gave one lime slice per taco as it serious needs that flavour shock. Doesnt taste bad at all, its pretty good but very subtle flavours. Probably slightly above medium tier versus all the birria tacos I've had. I’m visiting Hamilton so I'm not sure what the competition is out here but falls to slightly above average in Toronto. Average size taco. The cucumbers were an interesting touch with tajin I assume. The green sauce was veeery good. Great taste, slight spice. Very watery though so not the typical green sauce I'm used to with tacos but well worth the change.

The schnitzel sandwichs are my favorite sandwiches in the world. I have been eating them almost weekly since I started my apprenticeship in June 2001. I stop in there sometime twice a week and spend $40-$60 a week. Today I found out that the $5 tip that I leave for the person who makes and serves me my sandwiches gets taken away and put in the till. My $5 tip was not intended for Springer's meats, it was intended for the server. You can't even buy a bag of milk for $5 anymore.... How petty! I will never be back! You lost a loyal customer over $5! I am so disappointed.

Everyone knows about Schnitzel Thursday who works in East Hamilton. Large lineup to get a sandwich.... sooo good. Email your order ahead so pick up is fast and easy. I also love the hot roast beef sandwich although it is a little to pricey for me given the size. Great selection of meat although I have never purchased anything other than the lunch menu.

Ive been coming here for 25 yrs on Thursdays for the schnitzel sandwich. Always felt it was good value. The schnitzel today was so small I couldn't see it from under the bun. Very disappointing. I hope this is a one off and not the new normal.

Mixed sandwich, schnitzel on a bun, pepperettes, mini Hungarian sausage, Any style of bacon they make, hot breakfast items, breakfast pizza is a must try if they make it, it's basically impossible to go wrong at Springer's. You will see many of the city's workforce grabbing lunch here. Busy around lunch for the legendary schnitzel on a bun.

It's a relatively small, takeout restaurant. You may be able to eat standing at a narrow bar against the front window. We are outside in the glorious sun. The banh mi were delicious and filling. The staff friendly and helpful. Recommended

I regret not trying this place sooner. The bahn mi is fresh, delicious and made to order. The bread is perfect crispy on the outside and soft inside. I got the deluxe for the extra meat and they give you a lot. This place is the best for authentic bahn mi in the area! Will be back soon and often!

Best banh mi I've had in Hamilton. The meatballs sub is my favorite! This place is take-out only. The owner was very friendly. Service was quick. $5.50 for a classic and $6.50 for a deluxe (slightly bigger baguette with more fillings).

Best Banh Mi in Hamilton so far. If you’re searching for a great sandwich and a good price this place should be added to your list. The Saigon Deluxe comes on fresh bread with fresh ingredients and will fill your appetite for well under 10 dollars. Authentic flavour with spice or no spice. Order ahead if possible as they often can sell out before 2pm (this is a good thing). They bring fresh buns in daily and when they are gone, they’re gone. Enjoy! I’ve been back many times and they are always consistent. Still one of my favourite banh mi’s I’ve had in Canada.

That sauce! There is some type of sauce that is used on the classic banh mi that takes it to a next level. Loved that there was not an excessive amount of butter as I have experienced elsewhere. Bread could be a touch fresher or maybe it was just the bum end of the bun. My wife said that it could be the best banh mi she's ever had. Friendly owner taking the orders and an old poa-poa making the sandwiches (love it). Can't complain about the price; $5.50 for a regular classic and $6.50 for extra meat. Ranks high up on my list of best banh mi after only one visit. Will be back for more.

My friends, what are we doing here? Not eating banh mi at McQueens? This is hands down the best banh mi in Hamilton and it’s no contest. It’s a take out spot with no indoor seating but for a mere $5 you’re getting an experience you’ve never had. The service is fast and the little shop also sells other stuff like sticky rice, Vietnamese coffee, instant noodles and other stuff! They also cater so if you ever need If you’re looking for suggestions, in my opinion the classic thap cam (cold cut meats) is the best. They offer the option to make the sandwich become deluxe (adds a lot more meat) for a dollar more but in my opinion it becomes a bit heavy for my preference! If you’re on a bulk, a deluxe banh mi is such a good lunch 🙏 definitely worth checking this place out.

What a vibe! I recently moved to the neighbourhood and decided to check this place out and I’m glad I did! The service was so lovely, and the atmosphere was so fun! The first time I went, we got a platter of things to try, and the second time I got a burger and tater tot’s - which honestly - I may be back just to grab an order of tots after a long day as a pick-me-up. Can’t wait to be back and try everything on the menu!

Fantastic food!! The briskets was sooo nice and the sauce on the ribs were exceptional. The pulled pork nachos were a highlight as well! That's pecan pie was probably the best pecan pie we've ever had. Great service but I didn't catch his name. Will definitely come again!

I should have known better. 🙄 First of all The Slider Combo was fantastic. I tried to decide which of the three sliders I liked best. Too difficult. The Pulled Pork was tender and tangy. Beef Brisket had a nice outside crust with a pepper bite and flavour throughout. Mmmm. The third was the Nirvana Moon Burger. Kinda tough to stand up against the first two, however it did well. The Slaw was fine. Nothing wrong with it, just wasn't as over the top good as the three Sliders. I'd order the Slider Combo again and again. Now, the part where I should have know better,... I ordered the "Smoked Chips", potato chips. I was thinking that they make their own chips and smoked them. Nope. Assumptions are often wrong. They seemed like right off the grocery shelf. Disappointed. What I should have done was ordered the beans. However all was not lost, my server replaced the chips with beans. YES! They were really good. Obviously they added their own meat, tang and sauce. Delicious. Better than most beans at BBQ places. One more good, before the not so good,... my server, was great, very friendly, great energy, great smile, so much so I wondered if she was hitting on me. LOL! Finally a note for improvement aimed at the two staff talking at the front desk for about half my meal. If you want to talk, cool. But don't seat a single four feet away from you. It was kinda tough to enjoy assessing my 3pm linner. Or enjoy the music which is part of the ambiance. I was and still not interested in your nails, or customers that don't speak English well enough for you to seat five or six. Nor your jobs and compensation. Next time, remember people can hear you. So careful what you say. And don't seat a single by the reception when the restaurant is only 30% full at 3pm.

We stumbled upon this place randomly, and wow—what a great surprise! I have to say, this burger was absolutely delicious. These photos were taken just five minutes apart... that’s how quickly it disappeared! Even though it was a bit messy, it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I’m honestly glad we chose to come here out of spite—it turned out to be a fantastic decision! Despite the place being super busy, the waitress was phenomenal. She stayed on top of everything and made us feel really taken care of. We’ll definitely be back!

Disappointing from Start to Finish I rarely write reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt I had to. From the moment we walked in, the service was inattentive and unwelcoming. The waitstaff seemed disinterested at best, and downright rude at times. As for the food—it was a disaster. The ribs were bone-dry and tasted like they’d been reheated from earlier in the week. The sauce was unpleasant and didn’t help the texture or flavor at all. I also tried the chicken sandwich, which was clearly refried multiple times—it was tough, greasy, and tasted stale. Even the iced tea, which should be a Southern staple, was off. It had no flavor and seemed like it had been sitting out for too long. I expected hearty, flavorful Southern BBQ. What I got felt more like leftovers tossed together without care. Definitely won’t be back—and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. What a waste of money.

You know a restaurant is good when it’s full by 5pm on a Thursday. Tried a little bit of everything and it was so yummy! Our favourite was the fried chicken dinner, which was the Thursday night special. Next time I definitely want to try one of the milkshakes.

Honestly the food here is okay. The Baja wings had a good flavour but I wasn’t too amazed. The tacos are quite expensive for the size and they weren’t amazing either. The best one was The Brussels Sprout taco surprisingly. The other ones were okay (the OG fish, Habanero Brisket and Cali Fried Chicken). Even the Verdita Ceviche had potential but the chips were the best part of that dish (they were coated in a nice spice, the rest of the dish was a little too watery). The place gets really crowded fast, they ended up putting us in a small corner near the entrance. Despite these things, the service was good and the staff were very nice.

I found this place quite pricey for what it offers—$7 CAD for a tiny taco that’s just a few bites. I’ve been to other restaurants with much more affordable and satisfying options. If you enjoy small, sample-sized portions, this might be the spot for you, but don’t expect to share dishes here—everything is individually portioned. As for the flavor, the tacos were good, but nothing extraordinary or memorable. We sat outside, and while the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was a bit slow. Overall, the experience was just okay—not bad, but I wouldn’t rush back.

This is our go to restaurant in Hamilton. With everything being gluten free I don't have to worry about any cross-contamination. Their tacos and dip are amazing, and don't skip on the dessert either! I go here often and I've never been disappointed. They also have daily deals, their Monday big mac smash is delicious! and lastly if you are a fan of Margaritas they will have one that will steel you heart away! they have them all from sweet to spicy and they're all delicious!

My favourite restaurant in Hamilton - been there many times. The food is absolutely delicious, the cocktails and beer excellent, the price reasonable, the service friendly and attentive. I especially like the Mule Fried chicken and of course the tacos

Raised the price, shrunk the tacos. Used to be $30 for four tiny tacos, now it’s $35 and somehow even smaller. How you even manage to do that? $9 gets you 1 oz of meat, 1 oz of veggies (0.7 oz of that is chives), and sauce. Ridiculous. And the bags? Amusingly huge, like they’re packed for 20 orders instead of one.

Ask for Kailey if you want to have the best experience! Such amazing, attentive and personable service, not to mention she’s hilarious. She was super accommodating towards my sister’s food sensitivities and went above and beyond to ensure her food came out as she wanted. As a restaurant manager, I really appreciate coming across this kind of service. We came in with a group of 9 and were stayed at a high top, but a server overheard us saying the high chairs weren’t good for my grandmas legs and she moved things around and fixed us up a wonderful new spot without us having to ask which we were so thankful for! We were set up in Kailey’s section and I couldn’t be happier. Not only was the food incredible, but the service made the whole dinner that much more memorable. 10/10 couldn’t recommend this place more :)

So good and totally gluten free. It's always nice to not have to worry about contamination and this place rocks it. Everything we had was delicious. Fast friendly service.

When you go to this café, don’t expect any service from the staff because you have to find your own table and place your order yourself. After waiting 30 minutes to find a table, we got in line to order breakfast, which also had a long wait. When they came to clear the cups and plates from the previous customers, they didn’t clean the table, which was covered in coffee and sugar stains! After 20 minutes, we asked the same lady to clean the table, and she reluctantly agreed but ended up spilling most of the sugar on my pants without acknowledging it or apologizing! We ordered the avocado toast and the breakfast platter, both of which were excellent. However, the poor service makes me hesitant to recommend this place to anyone.

This is a quaint little spot to pick up a coffee and homemade pastry. They serve a lovely breakfast, they have Special pizza events in the summer, great alone or meeting with friends on the patio. The baristas are friendly and welcoming. This little spot has many regular patrons who visit often and are addressed by name. You can purchase products to take home, breads and jams to name a few, and a variety of their coffees. It's a special little café in beautiful downtown Dundas that won't disappoint.

May 14/25 ---A pleasant surprise today since I'm rarely pleased with the food in most places. We arrived around 130 pm - found our table and claimed it. Went up to order - very patient and pleasant servers. We didn't wait long for our food. It was brought to us. We shared the turkey sandwich (with a generous amount of REAL turkey), and a salad with a mixture of baby greens and other vegetables. Both perfectly prepared, delicious, and fresh ingredients. Lattée was flavourful and hot with design on top at last! Same with the cappuccino. Scone was fresh and tasty. Food was delicious. Fresh sourdough bread and I brought loaf of bread home also was fresh and delicious. Green tea donut was a pleasant surprise. It was chewy and not super sweet. Overall it’s a lovely experience. The only problem is the step and the heavy narrow door, people with stroller struggled to get in and out. Paid parking on the side but free on the weekends

A family favourite! The cafe is nestled in the Dundas area with both indoor and patio seating. It serves all the regular espresso based drinks along with baked goods, teas and few plated food options. The retail section has freshly baked breads and a selection of their roasted coffee beans. The Power Porridge Bowl is one of the best I've had of its kind and its sweetness level can be customised. I also enjoy their hibiscus elderberry teas in those cold winter days. Detour is a must visit cafe if you are in the area!

The cafe is great, probably one of the best in downtown Dundas. Local coffee shop with a large patio, plenty of seating - however, depending on the hour, it's usually packed. You want to find your seating prior to ordering, otherwise you'll be waiting around. Alternatively you can take to go.

It was too noisy inside. The outside patio is nice and cozy. Portion size was generous. Service was really good; they have an efficient system. Coffee was well-balanced with a nice aftertaste. Would recommend the pulled pork sandwich.

Love it here. It’s so cozy. Lots of their little treats and baked goods are gluten free and I believe they are all vegan. Their brunch menu is good too! Very generous portions. They always play the perfect cozy calm music, you can reserve a table which I would recommend doing on the weekends. I’m the warmer months they have some patio tables out on the sidewalk to watch all the Locke street dogs walking by. The banana bread is 20/10. I also love their matcha oat latte with strawberry syrup.

I am visiting Hamilton for the week and was thrilled tonight stumble upon Democracy. I got the waffle burger and a strawberry tea lemonade. As I watched people of all ages come in and out, it was clear this is a great spot that the community loves. The food was spectacular! One of the best vegan meals I have ever had! Whoever is the cook here knows what they are doing. I will most certainly be back if I have time.

I've been ordering from here for a long time. They're the only place around now that serves vegan pancakes. Because of that, I usually come on the weekend when they have the all day breakfast specials. Otherwise, I love their breaded cauliflower, always order it in the afternoons.

I ordered their specialty latte, “banana caramel”, and it was genuinely one of the worst lattes I’ve ever had. The espresso was extremely bitter, and the syrup flavour was unpleasant to say the least. The flavour tasted nothing like what is claimed to be, did not smell great, and started separating in my drink. I asked for some vanilla syrup to counteract the bitterness and they gave it to me! However, nothing could mask the actual taste of the coffee. I also got the avocado blt and would recommend it, very tasty! Service was also amazing. But paying almost $7 for a latte I would expect the beans to be of better quality.

Such a great coffee shop. Staff are super friendly and warm. The atmosphere inside the cafe is always cozy and I love all the plants. I dont go for food as I dont really enjoy it but the beverages are 👍🏻👍🏻!

Best cauliflower wings…. They are battered not crumbed so it’s more similar to a Chinese takeout chicken ball than to a mcnugget. 10/10 cauliflower wings!!!!!

I ordered the steak with a side of fries (Costco fries lol) in the first picture as medium rare, but what I received was completely rare—cold in the center and barely seared. I sent it back, hoping for a properly cooked steak, only to receive the exact same thing. No difference. Still rare, stinky, and gross. If that wasn’t bad enough, the flavour was awful—not a single grain of salt or seasoning. The smell? Weird and off-putting. The cut itself was terrible, and at the price they’re charging, it’s honestly shocking. I wouldn’t even take the leftovers home to feed to my dogs—that’s how bad it was. To make things worse, when I complained, I noticed the chef staring at me from the kitchen, making a very unpleasant face. 0/10 experience from the peanut gallery. The only good thing about my experience was the service. Our waiter was incredibly kind, attentive, and very apologetic about the whole situation. But when it comes to the food, especially the steak? Absolutely unacceptable. If you’re looking for a quality steak in Hamilton or just generally good food, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!!!

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! They accommodated our large group with no notice and our server Erica was awesome! She’s great with recommending the best things (the wild game pie was phenomenal). Thank you so much Erica, the chef, and all of the staff that made our evening possible! After we left one of the staff even ran 2 blocks to find us because my colleague forgot her sunglasses, it was so sweet of her. I will most definitely return!

My daughter's birthday dinner at Brothers Grim was an absolute triumph! The restaurant's unique atmosphere created a truly magical setting for our celebration. The staff, particularly our server Erica, were incredibly attentive and made us feel so welcome. The owner's warm hospitality added a personal touch that truly elevated the experience. From the delicious food to the impeccable service, everything about our evening at Brothers Grim was top-notch. Went for a birthday dinner here and everything was amazing. It was our first visit but I’ve heard about how good this place was from friends. It did not disappoint, service was great (Thank you Faith!), the food was amazing and everything tasted so fresh and they have a very well put together and cohesive menu. The overall experience was wonderful, they even placed a little decoration on the table since they knew it was a birthday celebration and offer a free dessert for special occasions. We heard they might be stopping dinner services which is such a shame as everything was so delicious. Amazing job to everyone involved in making this place run!

Ambiance! This place has ambiance! Decided to visit as a group of six, and it did not disappoint. Walk down the stairs to the cellar to be greeted by a wonderful musician who played for the whole time we were there. Beautiful lighting in a darker cellar experience, it was super cozy. The food was tremendous, and super quick. The food is a little pricey, but a lot of it is made on premises. We had the steak frites du fromage and the wild game sausage, both were unbelievable. Other than being asked to leave right at the two hour mark, ( I understand this is what restaurants have to do to keep other reservations on time). Other than that, Everything was fantastic.

This was my second visit to Brother Grimm, and I was not disappointed! Maria was a lovely and attentive server; she made our experience a 12/10! The food was delicious, but my only minor critique would be that the portions are a little small. BUTT grab a a couple apps and share some mains and you’ll be satisfied! First time at this place on Saturday night for dinner with my family. The service was average trending to be slow. The food was good with some "wild game" options. The noise level at the place is too high. I found the tables too small making them too tight for the glasses, water bottle, plates, menus, etc. The atmosphere in general is nice. I found the prices a bit in the high side.

Oh boy did we eat well, tried some flavor combos that we never thought of before, and certain dishes are very well portioned. We had the BigMac spring rolls. 4.7/5 (deeeeelicious and crispy) The Mushroom Orzo with Kalbi beef 5/5 (just try it. Hamilton’s #1 restaurant! The food is innovative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We tried a fantastic mix of dishes (kalbi gnocchi, rendang, spicy salmon roll, sushi taco) and each one was bursting with flavor. The burger spring roll was my personal favorite (I forgot to take a picture because we devoured it so fast!), and the chocolate cake at the end was simply immaculate. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were warm, attentive, and our dishes came out surprisingly fast despite how busy it was. You can tell they really care about the customer experience. If you're in Hamilton and haven't been yet, you're missing out. Highly, highly recommend!

Came here for Our Anniversary, it's absolutely amazing. Great music vibe, a good feel, friendly atmosphere, the servers and the chef were on point. I love the relaxation, it's not overcrowded, just perfect. I didn't add the Basque cheesecake in the photos, but the food was perfect. You guys were amazing. Best dinner I have ever had by far.

Every item on the menu is delicious, presented beautifully, fresh, and quick to the table. Small space but you'll remember the food.

Kind of hard to justify the price. Really adorable atmosphere in an old house and the service was very nice. Can’t justify the amount our bill totalled to for the food quality. The truffle mashed potatoes were good in texture but after a couple bites the flavour fatigued from the amount of truffle oil was overwhelming. Korean fried chicken was good but not any better than anywhere else.

If you can't afford to visit East Asia and enjoy their fine food, you can get a similar experience at Namu here! The owners are kind, the food is delicious, the quality is unreal, go support them today!

Such an amazing experience! From the quaint atmosphere to the cozy ambiance created by the warm lights, we had a lovely dinner. The food was outstanding and truly unique. Worth every bite! We especially liked the gnocchi - truly a fusion dish. I don't like to come back to restaurants, but this one will be an exception.

I come here a few times a month and 95% of the time it’s great, service is good and very quick, but sometimes sandwiches are inconsistent. It really depends on who’s working. I added photos of a sandwich I got yesterday morning (not good) vs last week on a Monday or Tuesday (very good) . I’m not sure where the rest of the cheese and tomato and meat went. I also asked for no mayo and the girl looked at me and said “did you say no mayo” realizing she made a mistake and still gave me a sandwich with it.

We hang out at Ola quite often when visiting family in Hamilton. The pastries are superb - love the natas and the lemon turnovers. The sandwiches are made generously with your choice of meats, cheese, condiments and FRESH buns. Soups are also really tasty - love the chicken soup. Prices are good compared to many other local businesses. Fair prices and great food - an excellent combination!

I stopped in to pick out some dessert treats for a birthday dinner. I had a hard time picking because they had such a great selection. Everything I got was delicious and I’ll be back to try out everything else! All the staff were very friendly!

Great place to grab a box of pastry or just stop in for a snack. Very friendly staff. The Portuguese Tarts are amazing here. The Lemon Squares are so tangy, like that. No credit card surcharge. Find if you do not eat some things right away they get very hard fast. Pretty Expensive. Things really add up fast.

Authentic Italian pastries. Looking for best cannoli in downtown? This is the spot. Also, got pizza dough thst worked great and other imported products from Italy.

Went for coffee and a treat and ended up getting lunch. Food was very delicious and fresh. Pastries were delightful. My son ate a chocolate cake pop, covered in sprinkles. He was in heaven. Small cozy store yet lots to eat and drink. Even have frozen Italian food to take home.

We stopped in for coffee and pastries before church—they have a lovely seating area. Everything we had was delicious, though a bit on the expensive side. One of the staff behind the pastry counter directed us to take our coffee and baked goods to the main cashier to pay. However, the cashier was busy on the phone and handling other tasks, so we waited and paid afterward—just as we had been told to do on a previous visit. When I finally paid, the cashier reminded me that payment should be made before sitting down. I explained that she hadn’t been available at the time. I understand the concern about dine-and-dash incidents, but the current system makes it difficult to follow that policy consistently. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, a staff member behind the counter loudly asked the cashier if we had paid—which was embarrassing, especially since we had. It would really help if there were a dedicated cashier at the bakery counter, rather than having to carry coffee and pastries to the main register before being seated. The pastries are excellent, but the setup could benefit from better staffing and improved organization to create a more welcoming and efficient experience.

What a kind server and chef. My bf took me here for lunch, we had chicken kabob platter and labneh falafel sandwiches. Beautiful place, they also gave us some tea and dessert! Very sweet experience. The food was really REALLY good.

Tomah is, without a doubt, one of my absolute favourite restaurants! I’ve been coming back for a while now, and having tried so many dishes, we can confidently say that everything is consistently excellent. The quality is outstanding and the flavours are so fresh and authentic. Stepping inside, you're immediately transported by the beautiful and authentic Syrian decor and seating. The space is large and inviting, creating a truly unique and immersive atmosphere that makes the dining experience even more special. I always forget to take photos here because I’m having such a good time, but the beautifully arranged stuffed grape leaves with their tangy lemon slices and the perfectly crispy golden spring rolls are just a glimpse into the deliciousness they serve. Ive had so many meals here and have NEVER been disappointed. What truly makes this place a gem is the staff. They are all so incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they genuinely make every visit a delightful experience. Tomah is a must-try for anyone looking for phenomenal Syrian food in a warm and charming setting!

I felt like I was a guest in someone's home. It reminded me of what dining out could be. The server was caring, helpful, and present. I didn't feel like an inconvenience. I wish that I took pictures of my food to share with you, but it was so delicious that not a moment was spared diving in. I've included photos of our desserts.

I go to Tomah atleast 2-3 times a month so not sure how I haven’t left a review yet but hands down one of the best restaurants in Hamilton and across the GTHA! The food is DELICIOUS - so flavourful and homey while also being so unique to what Tomah offers. My go to order is the shawafel, for when you can’t decide between the chicken or falafel, and i’ve become a huge fan of the beef spring rolls (although the cheese ones are amazing too!) The serving sizes are great so one meal is usually enough for me and my partner. Try the stuffed grape leaves as well, and the baklava is truly the best you’ll ever have. I love to cook but for days when I want to eat out but still feel like i’m eating a hearty, nutritious, delicious meal, I’ll always get Tomah 😁!

We came here last week for dinner and we loved it! They gave us complementary red tea which was really good. We orders mixed beef and chicken Shwarma and it tasted amazing anf our favourite was the falafel. They have the best falafel for sure. The service was very friendly and polite and the quantity was generous and reasonable prices.. we really liked the atmosphere as well it is cozy and nice. We will definitely come back and try more items.

We had the maqloubeh and the supreme sandwich meal as well as the best falafels to date (not pictured). The food was very fresh and flavourful. Even our picky eaters enjoyed the meal which was a wonderful surprise!

I was staying the night in Hamilton and came here as it was a few blocks from where I was staying. I had a fantastic meal, from the tea they serve when you're seated to the freshly made chicken shawarma plate. And probably some of the best french fries I've ever had anywhere. I got kunfa with pistachios to go and that was great as well.

It was a fantastic experience! The pies were delicious, and I absolutely loved the ‘Dou You Wanna’ – such a unique treat. Our server, Brooke, was incredible. She was friendly, attentive, and made our time there even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

MaiPai Hamilton is hands down one of my favorite pizza spots! The pizzas are perfectly cooked with a crisp, golden crust, fresh toppings, and flavorful sauce. Each slice is loaded with quality ingredients, and the combinations are creative without being over the top. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. The atmosphere is casual and fun, perfect for dinner with friends, or a night out. If you love pizza that’s both delicious and thoughtfully made, MaiPai is a must-visit in Hamilton!

Stopped by for the first time today and had a great experience. I got the pickle pizza and parm fries to share with my boyfriend and both were delicious, highly recommend. Menu says most people are full after 2 slices, and that’s definitely true! Servers are friendly and attentive, drinks are strong! 10/10

Right when we walked in, we were blown away by the atmosphere and setup. We love the tiki bar theme, especially mixed with the current Halloween décor — there’s so much to look at and the vibe is just awesome. The staff are lovely and our server was excellent! MaiPai is known for its Detroit-style pizzas, and wow… they are absolutely incredible. It’s easy to see why this place books up FAST — we reserved a couple weeks in advance and still snagged the last 9:00 PM spot. Totally worth it though! The tiki cocktails are fantastic and served in fun themed mugs. I really enjoyed my Blue Hawaii (mixed perfectly), while my wife’s Painkiller was good but very strong. The Hurricane was another hit! For an appetizer, we ordered the Parm Fries — and they were so worth it. Crispy waffle fries drenched in gochujang butter (sweet with just a tiny kick), topped with fluffy Parmesan and fresh green onions. Delicious! For mains, I went with the Pepperoni Pile Up, easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, loaded with incredible sauce, stacked cheese, fluffy ricotta, and the star of the show — scotch bonnet honey drizzled on top. My wife ordered the Secret Pickle Pizza, which was cheesy, garlicky, and super dill-y — so unique and so good! We ordered larges so we’d have leftovers, and even though it’s 8 slices, they’re hearty enough that we only managed about two and a half each before calling it. Definitely worth the price — and we loved it so much we even bought a couple tiki mugs to take home! Highly, highly recommend.

We had the most amazing first visit at Maipai! We sat at the bar and Josh was our server. He was fun, helpful and a blast to hang out with. The food. Oh my god, the pizza. We had the chicken bacon ranch and the pepperoni pile-on. The most delicious pizza I’ve ever had. We had delicious drinks - the blue Hawaii and the Mai Tai. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Delicious vegan fast food! Really enjoyed the Big Mac and the KFC famous bowl dupe. Also got chicken tendies that seem to be made from in-house made seitan? Absolutely a must for those who enjoys fast food/junk food 💛

Absolutely delicious, l had the chicken Tenders, minus the chicken. The batter was so crunchy and the tenders tasted delicious. Make sure to order the waffle fries. There were 5 of us for dinner and everyone really enjoyed their meals. We are going back again next week. Best Vegan Restaurant in Hamilton hands down..

The best vegan chicken burgers I have ever tasted! The crispy coating is absolutely perfect. Tam and I have tried everything on the menu now and there isn't a single option that we wouldn't recommend. However, we do have our favourites. 😁 This place isn't just for vegans. It's a plant-based menu that I dare any chicken lover to try.

Was at the Burlington Vegfest this Sat and came across this vendor who was very happy to introduce me to his vegan products. I was told I must try and that their recipe is the best on the market compared to similar meat alternative products. I decided on the Chic-EEL O'Neil with waffle fries. Portion is ample and yes the fries were fantastic so I was hoping to be blown away by the sandwich. The patty did have a great texture, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside but the taste is where it falls short. I found definitely needed additional seasoning and flavor to give it more character. The vegan ranch sauce was bland, did not work for me at all and the pickles were too sour and overpowering. Sorry but the unchicken sandwich with fries is a miss for me and not worth the hefty price tag of $22.50! that I was charged. I will continue my hunt for a more tasty and flavorful option. Doomie's (when they were in TO) still rule when it comes to best recipe for meat alternatives products.

Good feelings all the time, and there has been no disappointment) From the tendies to the prawns to the sandwiches, there are only winning options here, just depends on your palate, and I think they have a nice variety of flavours and combos to satisfy most. We've been there several times, ordering online on their website has been super easy, and they've been true to the estimated pick up time. If you're local to Hamilton you can walk in or get delivery on the various apps, but we've driven over to their location in the Hamilton Farmers Market. They offer curbside pick up right now, or you can walk in and find them on the left side of the lower level. (who's left? when you get down the ramp at the market, just turn left, and keep walking until you see the glass restaurant, with the faint neon pink glow.) Our usual order is always the 2 can dine because it has something for everyone, it comes with 9 chickee tendee. 2 fries. 2 biscuits. 1 gravy. 1 coleslaw. 2 drinks, and we usually order at least one of their awesome sandwiches. We don't usually finish all the tendies the first day, but they are still quite delicious 1-2 days later. I love the variety of sauces they have for dipping and that their Nashville hot is actually spicy (if you're also a fellow spice fan, the T&T sauce is no joke, and they label it Hot AF with good reason, but so very good.) Anyway, big fan, and I'm glad they're around. Hoping for a Toronto location someday!

A hidden gem in the Hamilton farmer's market. Super yummy vegan fast food options. The creative item names are a nice bonus. We got the popcorn "chicken", "chicken" tendies (3 with "honey" and 3 with Nashville hot), "prawn" star, popeyezwho, buffalo "chicken" burger (you don't like buffalo? Bye son), waffle-cut fries. Their sauces were amazing too - the secret sauce was a great choice. Every single item hit the spot! Will definitely visit many times in the future.

ordered on uber eats, as it’s only 10 min away from me! i was really excited to try this place. I really enjoyed the famous bowl! The flavour was good and i enjoyed the popcorn chicken KFC vibe. The burger on the other hand was not so good. The food arrived really quickly so i was surprised to find it so soggy. this item really didn’t taste fresh, hold well or travel well. unfortunately it lacked flavour even tho i got spicy. Chicken Tendies were pretty decent, i like that they came with pickle slices but sadly didn’t travel well. the portion for the tendies was great!!! dipping sauces were tasty, i do wish the sauces and tendies were seasoned a bit more because they were a tad on bland side but it was still good.

Nice market with lots of food and baked goods. All shops have fairly. No Free WiFi. Connected and accessible to/from Jackson Square Shopping Mall. There is a community room or dining area available. It is not always open for public use.

Much bigger inside than anticipated. Enjoyed our stop at Lina’s for coffee and treats. The empanadas (vegan and one chicken), with homemade tomatillo salsa, was delicious!

The Hamilton Farmers’ Market is one of my favourite spots in the city. You’ll find the best birria tacos in town here, and I’m hooked. I love that I can grab English scones, fresh flowers, authentic spices, and those incredible tacos all in the same space. Always a great atmosphere and so many unique vendors to explore.

Good place to get fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, meats, handmade crafts, and Mexican food. Busy and bustling indoor space on a Saturday. Street parking and Green P parking available and the location is wheelchair and stroller friendly, with ramps. The area outside is run down but the market is well maintained and managed. It is a good way to spend a half hour to an hour of your day, especially in poor weather.

My brother and I have been here many times. They do have people selling vegetables, fruit, meat, cheese, fish, etc. To pay our food items, most of them who served us accept cash, credit, and debit. We usually ask, or they tell us how to pay. Some of them have a sign saying cash only. I recommend you bring your own bags. We always bring bags just in case they don't have any. When we go on the work week, it is not too busy. Sometimes we go on Saturday, it's busy. I usually check their website on what days are open and their hours. I also noticed they sell flowers, flower pots, birthday cards, and bake goods. Depending on what days they sell their items. They have Washrooms with Wheelchair Accessible Entrances. They do have parking at their garage across the Farmers' Market. They do have Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lots and Entrances. We had to pay Most of the time, we park on the street. We put money in the meter. They only accept coins. They also have parking lots in the area. They have a machine to pay debit and credit. We received a ticket to put in our vehicles on the dashboard.

My 1st time there, I waited at picnic table as a friend stood in line. Yes, expect a line as it's a busy place. Food will take 20 minutes or so, be prepared. But it's worth it!!! We had fish & chips, probably one of their most popular items on the menu. Large portions of Homemade cut fries with huge pieces of fish, and suggest you get the coleslaw. Lots of outdoor sitting as well, not sure of seating inside as I didn't go in. The experience was definitely worth it!!!😋🐠🍟

Delicious and affordable fish and chips! The fish and chips were crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The prices were really reasonable, and the staff were so friendly. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a tasty meal with a beautiful beach view.

The food was fresh and succulent. Very well cooked. My son thoroughly enjoyed his cheeseburger and I my fish and chips! Steps away from the beach, what impressed me was that if, while you waited for your meal, you decided to wait outside at the beach or in the parking lot, your receipt number was announced over the PA speaker outside.

That’s a nice place to stop by in the summer, right on the beach. We were there with my friends on Saturday lunch time so it was pretty busy, your order might take around 10-15 min to be served. Diner is big and clean, very traditional North American style. It was full of families with noisy kids, but you could take your meal to go and enjoy it on the beach. The quality of the food is quite consistent with its price, which is pretty affordable.

Old diner vibes right on the beach. Decently priced compared to other similar options. The fries are thick cut. I’m not the biggest fan of thick cut fries but I still eat more than I normally do with fries! Fish was nice and crispy but not over done. The road can get extremely packed but it is free parking along the beach. I love to be able to just grab a table with salt, pepper, with both white and malt vinegar. Seems simple but a lot harder to find in this day and age.

Love this place! Great for fish and chips, etc. very cute local spot right on the lake. It’s got a beautiful trail behind it to walk, mostly paved. In the back they have an ice cream window so you don’t have to wait in line with the regular diners. They have a huge selection of hard scoop ice creams that are very good! I loved unicorn toots and Grammys cupboard. The ice cream line always takes a very long time, same with while you’re waiting for your food. There is usually seating available but one of the downsides of hutches is that it feels like a public rest stop. The tables tend to be dirty and the washrooms a bit gross. Try to go in the off season, then you can really enjoy this Hamilton gem. Everyone should visit in the summer at least once still!

It has been years! On a Friday at 2:00 pm, decided for Hutch’s fish and chips. DELICIOUS! Busy but not overly. Found a table right away and only waited about 10 minutes. Shared one meal…..definitely enough for two!

A day initiated with eggs and homefries is a wise decision. Coffee is also essential. The crab cakes are outstanding, especially when cooked well done. The cost is moderate. This eatery is a concealed treasure in Ancaster. A compulsory visit for breakfast aficionados! 🐣

Service was great, quick friendly staff. Food was subpar. I haven't been to the egg & I, in 15-20 years.. the prices like everywhere have gone up which is normal.but the quality of food seems to have gone down from my past memories.. the food was ok but bland. Home Fry's were mushy and flavorless, the eggs and bacon were tasty and the pancakes were very dry. The other dish we tried was French toast.. very very light taste of cinnamon and again borderline tasteless. Coffee was good and orange juice was ok as well. The last thing is the indoor temperature, it was HOT inside my guess would be 30-33 degrees which made it uncomfortable to sit and eat for too long.

We’ve been here before and enjoyed the experience but today we were a little disappointed. The order was cold when it arrived and the beef au jus had no jus. The kitchen didn’t have any but still had it on the menu. The server was friendly and comped our coffees for the missing jus etc. The fries were tasty and the prices are reasonable.

Always love the Egg & I. It’s a Hamilton standard that never disappoints. Portion sizes are always plenty to fill your belly. Good food, good staff, good atmosphere.

Had a steak and egg breakfast with my relatives on our way to Windsor from Niagara Falls. They had eggs benedict. If you love eggs benedict,this is the place to be. Good food and good service. Park right in front of the restaurant, lots of regular customers.

Since the new management I've gone a few times and thank goodness they haven't changed any of the signature flavours, but they have changed the portion sizes of your protein. It is definitely much less. I get the sweet potato and I wish I had taken a photo to go with this review but it was the smallest portion of sweet potato yet! Really disappointing!!!!!!

Amazing food but the highlight is definitely the amazing staff! I walk in and im immediately greeted with a smile, as I go there regularly and order the same thing the staff already know my order once I walk in through the door! Especially the gentleman on the grill and another lady that usually prepares the order. Amazing overall experience!

Came in with my three kids and had such a great experience at Burrito Boyz on 66 King St. This young man working was so cheerful and respectful, I had to ask his name: Vishesh. His energy and kindness made the whole place feel welcoming. I’ve been to the Centennial Parkway location where the woman and staff there are miserable and very unfriendly and **Upper James Which is a little better than the Centennial restaurant , but nothing compared to the King Street location, and the service there doesn’t compare. This is hands-down the best Burrito Boyz location in Hamilton The food even taste better— I won’t be going anywhere else.

The service is terrible, workers sit on top of the counter where food is prep, they are on their phone chit chatting when there's a line of customers waiting to be served. There was a homeless man sleeping inside on the floor so we couldn't eat inside.( It was in the middle of summer )

GROSS! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION. I ordered 2 chicken burrito on this location. Was super excited to eat however one of the burrito had a huge piece of plastic in it! This is very concerning as it is a food safety issue. Will never order from here again!!!

I’ve been a loyal burrito boyz customer for almost ten years and this location hasn’t changed that. I love the steak and shrimp mix. I think about it all the time. The staff at this location are kind and keep the place tidy. It’s always an enthusiastic YES when my partner suggests burritos for dinner. Even when I let the burrito get cold it’s still good. I’ll eat burrito boyz forever.

This is no burrito - this is at best, mixed rice. There is not even a tablespoonful of meat on this plate. Perhaps 2 tablespoons of beans at best and then a whole lot of rice. I placed the fork there just for comparison. Go to another place; this is outrageous they’ll charge that much for this amount of rice. You’ll be better feed by a subway sandwich. Something must’ve changed because it used to be great. If you guys are cutting costs by cutting quality and nutrition, you’ll go broke fast. Charge what you need to maintain the prices, or people won’t come back. I am seriously not considering returning, this is a waste of money and time.

Not the same since the new owners took over. I want to rate it high because the owners are very nice people, but I've given the place 3 tries in the past year, and have been disappointed every time. The portion sizes are good, but the fish is really greasy and bland. Not the light and crispy Harry's of old. Fries are decent. Prices also went up 20% over Old Harry's. Not really worth it imo. Think I've tried this place for the last time. Too bad, I really wanted to like it.

My friends & I travel SW Ontario doing outdoor stuff & started a quest to find the best Fish n Chips. The good reviews led us here. We were greeted by a very pleasant Asian woman that I had a hard time understanding. It looked to be family run. I asked where Harry was and she said he past away last year and they are the new management. It was Wed so we ordered the Halibut and Chips special. We got two pieces of fish not much bigger than the Captain High Liner fillets. The portion looked even smaller because of the tiny oval plates they are serve it on. They're so small that trying to cut your fish pushes your fries off the plate. I was surprised we didn't get coleslaw with our meal? One of my peeves are old Ketchup bottles. The labels were worn off so the bottles are being refilled. There was a small kid I assumed was their son hanging around which didn't bother me... but when I went to pay I saw the little guy playing with all the cutlery in the tubs. I didn't take comfort now knowing my fork and knife were handled by grubby kids hands. On the plus side the fish was tasty but the value is not there giving me no reason to return.

A quick and easy stop in at Harry's Fish and Chips is a great way to end your day, especially if you don't have the time to make dinner. Our order was quickly made with a generous portion of crisp fries. We had the haddock and that was excellent as well! Great friendly service amid a unique setting. Yo ho ho I'll go there again!

The newly owned Harry’s Fish and Chips: really good fish and chips! Crispy and light batter. We had the haddock and chips and the halibut and onion rings and a small coleslaw. It’s a big helping and we had leftover fries which is awesome the next day in the airfare for 5min at 350 degrees 🙌🏾. We found the staff and owner are very friendly, attentive which makes the visit more enjoyable. Lots of seating, clean establishment. Update…still amazing quality fish and chips!!! Had the fisherman platter with the haddock and shrimp. Delish and soo much food I took home my fries but gluttonly finished every other speck on my plate lol. Heads up specials - Wednesday - halibut special. Tuesday- Haddock! Open for lunch Thursdays and Fridays.

I have lived across the street from Harry's fish and chips for 31 years and always enjoyed the food, the portions were always big and the prices weren't too bad when Harry and the Ivan owned it I am not enjoying it with the new owners. I find it very very expensive now for less food. It's halibut special day today. So I ordered two orders. One for myself and one for my mother and we both got two pieces of fish but the size of the pieces were like the size of a playing card, not like they used to be at all...and $2 for a small coleslaw ?? (That's no bigger than a dipping sauce container). For every one they sell they can buy a head of cabbage, does that seem fair? I now understand why it's not packed like it used to be. I do not think that I will be ordering from here anymore. It's a sad day, 30 years of eating there and I don't want to eat there anymore.

Great Fish n' Chips. Probably 5th in the city. Nice battering and quality fish. When you order for pick up at a certain time, they drop your order in the fryer when you show up, so plan ahead for a little wait, but hot and fresh. Friendly staff.

The best fish and chips in Hamilton. Period. Beautiful lightly battered, pieces of Halibut. French fries cooked to a golden, crisp, perfection. The service was excellent, waitress was very nice, and food arrived quickly. Mushy peas were very good, but there was far too much for a single supper. The only disappointment was the coleslaw, which was simply thinly diced cabbage and Hellmans mayo.

Went here for the first time this weekend. It's a great spot to grab brunch, the portions were great and not expensive. The breakfast bagel was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and milkshakes. Very affordable for a group. And the coffee is really good. The staff were great, very charismatic and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Such a great Hamilton staple. The food is great but you may wait a bit for it. It’s worth the wait. The Cheesecake is absolutely amazing. Order it early as they will run out.

Was having a rough morning so I brought my littles in for breakfast (3 and 1) we don't usually go out to eat. The server was so over and beyond nice to us (I'm starting to cry again just thinking about it) the server was so unbelievably amazing as well as all the patrons. The food was great, the price was great. I left there bawling like a weirdo and I apologize for that. But all the kindness and support really got my pregnant little heart. It's so nice to be so welcomed and invited into an establishment with littles. Thank you guys so much. ❤️🥹

If you’re looking for a great family spot that’s chill, down to earth but also a very understanding environment I would 10/10 recommend Steve’s open kitchen! I've always known about Steve's Open Kitchen but never actually been to it before until this past weekend when my friend mentioned wanting just a classic dinner type spot and I knew this was the perfect opportunity. The food was delicious, staff was very attentive on the coffee refills. The only thing I saw that could be a problem for some was a few larger groups trying to rejig tables and keep switching to make room to fit them all. But we were just 2 so no issue for us and everything was delicious in a relaxed casual atmosphere.

We finally got a chance to try Steve’s Open Kitchen and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by a welcome smile and we choose to sit in a booth. The coffee was hot and delicious. I settled on the eggs Benny and it was amazing. The eggs were perfectly cooked and bacon was still crispy. The home fries are the best the I had tasted. Crispy enough, not over cooked and spiced just right. I ended up with the cherry cheesecake and glad I did. It was a generous piece of pie with cherry sauce, a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The pie was light and fluffy and not too sweet. If you have never been, be sure to check it out. Great home cooked comfort food. I will definitely be going back. Maybe try lunch next time.

The place has a beautiful vibe of a 90s diner combined with modern decor. Excellent for breakfast, I tried the ever famous eggs benedict with bacon and really loved it. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others

Went here over a week ago. This was my mom's favorite place she always raved about it! So my friend and I were passing by one day and decided to go and try it out! The beef sandwiches are awesome and topped with gravy that's delicious. The place has a nice old school vibe to it which makes it an original. The fries were nice and crispy. I'd definitely come back and try out some other items on the menu.

A classic roast beef sandwich shop that hasn’t changed a bit since the 80s. Delicious hearty and simple food prepared very quickly. Family run, independent fast food restaurants like this basically do not exist anymore and Tally Ho Is a Gem of a bygone era that needs to be protected at all costs.

A classic in Hamilton. Yummy, but not as flavourful as I remember. Friendly staff, good sandwiches at a reasonable price, will drop by again.

Old school restaurant, it's great. Had the double roast beef combo. The gravy brings you back to the 80's , fantastic beef gravy.

a restaurant with long tradition when I went to Mac. Roast beef sandwich is very famous and price is like a Big Mac only. But the roast beef basket is great as fries are fresh and you can ask for gravy which is the perfect combination with fries.

Tried Buona Vita today after looking at some of the positive reviews. Service was ok and the pizza was made on time. The crust was probably the best part of the pizza, light, crispy and had a bit of a chew to it. The toppings and cheese were a good amount, and the bacon and pepperoni were great, however was not too fussy of the Italian sausage. The sauce was probably an area for improvement, tasted rather bland and not much of anything else. The price was reasonable, yet a bit on the higher side for a large. Overall a well made pizza, and seemed like all ingredients were fresh. Worth a taste of you are in the area.

The pizza was great, it had a medium thickness. Crust was fluffy and crispy. Id give it a 8/10 great snack or lunch. Will definitely stop by again.

Friendly staff, short wait and great taste. New to the area we decided to try their Walk-In Special. It arrived after a 5 minute wait and was tasty. I would return and recommend. edit: 5 years later and still exactly the same. Best of the best.

Located near the cusp of Queen and York Boulevard is a pizza joint with interesting combinations. I firmly believed this establishment was actually authentic but instead seems to be a location of appropriation, despite what the colour scheme of the Italian flag inspired sign may lead you to believe. I ordered a medium bacon cheeseburger with limited ground beef, cheddar (kinda) and bacon. The toppings were kinda chintzy for a $15 pizza with hidden ground beef and about half a strip of bacon per slice. The cheese tasted like something to be found in my Family Studies class back in high school, somewhat lacking. Regardless, it’s okay, not bad, just okay.

Decent place for neighborhood Pizza and wings. I've never tried the ribs but I would like to but for pizza and wings it's an OK place. The wings suicide sauce is laughable so they could use some better sauces on their wings but all their meals are usually ready within 15 minutes so can't complain about that.

The best pizza I have ever had. This is some of the best pizza I ever had, and I was sober (lol). Honestly, my buddy got some, sent me a picture and we got exactly what we ordered and it was epic. I highly suggest this place and I will be coming back. It's not "cheap" but it's worth it in my opinion. Thanks again for the great grub!

Great price for the tuesday-wednesday deal. You get great portions and fresh food. The fish and chips isn't overly too fishy it's great! Definitely recommend this place for dine-in experience and even take out!!

Haddock fish was delicate & flaky that melted in the mouth while had golden texture just as the name suggests with perfect crisp and crunch in each bite. Fries were seasoned just right that enhances its natural potato flavor without overpowering it. They serve generous portions at a very economical price. Highly recommended!

Was in this mom and pop plaza in south hamilton. I was interested in the sub place but then I decided to go somewhere I'd been before when this fish and chip spot caught my eye. What I did not realize is it was 30 mins to closing, probably because there were several people inside. Had I known it was close to closing I would not have gone, it was only 7pm for context. Ordered a chowder (new!), mushy peas and a fish sandwich. The mushy peas were very bland, the peas were not sweet or tasty at all. The chowder was surprisingly good. One of the staff mentioned clam chowder but this is not clam chowder, its very similar but its chock full of scallops baby shrimp and maybe crab or it could have just been more scallops. Really good. Nothing fancy but good ratio of potato to other stuff, really enjoyed the soup. Now for what should have been the star, the "fish" sandwich. Not haddock cod or halibut or else they would say. Now, on tuesdays and wednesdays (today is tuesday) they have a special "fish and chips" for 6.99 which is an incredible deal, but its fish so whatever they choose. By contrast the fish sandwich is 8.99 or 8.50 I can't remember, but 8 something. If you cant tell from the picture, the fish filled half of the bread. The bread was ok, old I'd say. They put way too much tartar sauce. The fish was dry around the edges and even in the middle the fish was barely there. I bet for 6.99 I would have gotten double the fish and alot of fries. This made me feel ripped off. Now I shouldnt complain about the price, things are expensive and 8.99 is about average for a fish sandwich. But I had an arbys fish sandwich last week there was double the amount of fish better bread. They might be making their own tartar sauce which is a nice touch, but it was globbed on so much it was a tartar sandwich with a hint of fish. Its probably my fault for going in so close to closing and also my fault for not eating fries so i opted for the more expensive sandwich option. I paid a total of 19 and change for a half decent chowder. Thanks guys.

Recommended by my colleague and I would recommend you’ll for the best fish and chips in town. Golden is in biz since 37 years and doing great with the making of perfect battered fish. Haddock is everyone’s favourite!

Ordered take out and was running behind. We were pleased to see that while our order was ready, they wait to box the order to keep it crispy as possible. We ordered the Alaskan white fish and chips and gravy and it's quite reasonable in price. Service was friendly and packed up our order in no time! Looking forward to our next visit!

Usually pop in a few times a month and I am never disappointed!! The pricing is really great value in today's economy, the food is always delicious, the staff have always been friendly and welcoming. I always tell people this is my favourite fish & chip shop! :)

Prices for the fish and chips went up. Quality has gone down. We were given fried fish that has a hole and hardly any fish white meat since its overfried. I guess quality doesn't count anymore. 2025- dined in and now was given fries that were likely bits and pieces of the bottom of the fryer whereas the older woman next table had perfect freshly cut long fries which she left on her plate and didn't eat.

This place was recommended to me because I love me some Greek 😋 Honestly, I was not impressed. I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter. $22 Salad. Mostly lettuce not much in it 😢 Platter? The potatoes were cold and ridiculously oily. The chicken was absolutely delicious...but it took a very long time to prepare. I watched as they had the rice and potatoes just sitting in the to-go box while the chicken was cooking. No wonder the rice and potatoes were cold. The men in there who served a d prepared my platter were friendly enough but honestly I do not recommend this place. If you go, I would not suggest the platter I ordered.

Best Greek food by far in Stoney creek! Always fresh and such great portions! Catering is also great, it's the same menu, but packed nicely and same portioning! We have done this when ordering for a large group before also

We've ordered from Greek Palace several times with no issues, usually through Skip. We always order the same items. Today we ordered and when we opened the "Palace Mixed Grill", there was a tray of rice and four souvlaki skewers. No beef and lamb gyro meat or chicken gyro meat. Skip provided a minimal refund, but not enough to compensate for the missing food. I'll think twice before I order from here again.

We used to visit the old location before they were up on the mountain and the food was always incredible. After our office switched locations, and their new location became more convenient, we started ordering office lunches from here opting to get a couple of the family dinners, we're just going as one or two people to get Greek fries. The food was always incredible, tender and flavorful, and their Greek fries are to die for. Highly recommend visiting here either for a personal lunch or group meal.

Food was somewhat tasty but not as good as we've had from other places. I found the dinner portion smaller than average for this type of food. The chicken skewers were not all white meat and I found it a little chewy. There is no way that this plate is for sharing as others have suggested. Calamari was nice. My wife had the gyro salad and it was much better than my chicken meal....that's what I wished I had ordered! Lots of room for improvement with this establishment.

I ordered takeout on the doordash app. The food was ready when it was expected to be. At pickup the gentleman working there was genuinely kind, it made my day. The food was EXCELLENT, everything tasted so fresh. We had the ultimate Greek fries which were covered in crisp onions and tomatoes and the flavours were so nice I kept on going back for more. We also had a chicken wrap and a lamb and beef wrap. The lamb and beef was our favourite! Everything was well seasoned, flavourful and fresh. I’ll definitely be back to try some other things on the menu. Thank you!

Over priced as far as local pizza goes. Place looks like a dump, nothing on tap. They never seem to have the meatball sub or soup when I go in. Crust is one of the best, staff is extremely friendly. Too bad about the prices and if you have it in the menu, make it available. I ordered a pizza from there when they first opened, it took 3 hours to go under 1 km. And there was no apologies. Looks like they don't really care if they stay in business or not. I think the owners own the business next door which is fantastic.....ly over priced. Ordered a vegetarian single slice $4

There are lots of selection. We ordered a medium mushroom pizza for $23. Pizza tastes great. You can even play a game of pinball or another arcade game while you wait, which is a really nice touch. They also sell slices.

Normally, a good restaurant aims for fast, affordable, and tasty food. The experience with Knead Pizza met none of these. When placing my order over the phone (for delivery) they said the pizza would be ready within an hour and it arrived after about 90 minutes. The pizza smelled a bit like cat food and didn't taste much better. If it were cheap, I could just say to myself 'you get what you pay for', but the one large pizza ordered (with delivery) was a little over $30. Sad!

This was one of our best pizza restaurant experiences, simply awesome. The manager and staff were very friendly and fun to talk to. The pizza was simply yummy the best we have had in years. Apparently everything is made from scratch, and the amount of toppings to choose from was just awesome. This experience was refreshing from going to the same old pizza brand names and restaurants. This is our new #1 Pizza Restaurant to go to.

So I literally just picked up a pizza from this location and paid close to $20 for it. I cannot believe that it lacks so many toppings. Who ever prepared my pizza did a very good job at hiding the lack of toppings buy a lot of arugula. There was hardly and cheese, we added our own to make up for it. The mushrooms were very little and as for the goat cheese, I am not lying it was a teaspoon amount. Honestly, pizza pizza even gives you more toppings then this store. I don't think I will be purchasing a pizza from this location again but I do encourage people to try it for themselves and see what you think. Maybe it was just my pizza maker who didn't appreciate my order and service. Still not an excuse. People pay a lot and at least expect a good pizza. Thank You.

The first time I went here which was last summer, I wasn't impressed with the pizza or prices. I just came back because I thought I'd give them one more chance and I was blown away with their pepperoni pizza! ! So good. So flavorful. Under $3 for a slice which is great. My belly is so happy right now.

This place has a nice vibe, but unfortunately the burger was just OK, and it tastes slightly overcooked for me. The fries were the most soggy fries that I have ever had. Definitely not worth its current rating of 4.7 stars.

They made me wait 20mins for my burger. Then I glanced at their grill to find at least 15 or more burgers being cooked. I guess that's why you have to wait, they get a LOT of orders. But once I had a bite on my burger, it was well worth it. Burger was juicy, veggies were fresh and neatly stacked, and french fries were wonderfully crispy. I would go back.

Excellent place to stop for a delicious burger. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the floor was very greasy and slippery. The food was perfect though and fries were cooked perfectly.

🌸 Their home made burger taste good but too bad they don’t have onion rings which is why i gave $4 stars. 🌸 they only accept cash when i went there so i am not sure if there is any changes now. 🌸 because of covid, no one is allowed to eat inside their store and would also have to wait outside the store for your order. So, i don’t know as well if there is any changes right now.

Very tasty burgers that are freshly prepared. The fries are amazing! Nice and helpful staff who have no problem adjusting your order according to your request. Mínus is that they don't have any combos and their patio is not very nice.

We went here for lunch and really enjoyed the burgers. They were juicy and beautifully made. The fries were dark and crispy. I liked them, but found them a bit overcooked. However, my wife enjoyed the fries, so it's just a matter of preference.

I had the bacon cheeseburger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries and San Pellegrino went well with it. I'll be back again. Well, came back 5 years later and enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger again. The music was pretty loud, which made dining in a little interesting, but it was Friday night. I'll be back again, hopefully sooner than another 5 years.

I am just recovering from a bad bad car accident and I’m relearning how to walk and I’m just at a rehab facility right now and we always go biking and we go get a bite to eat here after. And so I’m a picky eater but and I have tried the owner Nolan’s food and I loved it and this time I ordered my usual food from him and he went above and beyond and made an exceptionally delicious dish. First time going I ordered a regular size chicken burrito. It was huge, fresh toppings and loaded with chicken. All the ingredients were fresh and top quality also. I’m definitely a regular customer now.

I came here based on online reviews and what people are saying on social media. What they say is that this is the best burritos place in town, and I see why after just one visit. The guy running the place was helpful making recommendations and is very quick and efficient on his own. I've ordered a chicken burrito, a pork taco and a beef taco. The tacos and burritos are incredible. Great portions, and lots of both flavour and texture. The pork and beef are definitely the way to go. There are plenty of spice levels to choose from as well. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

I have frequent this place often from Grimsby and the burritos NEVER disappoint. Always super fresh, tasty but most importantly the service is always amazing. Just went over and had a Large Steak Burrito and a Large Pulled Pork. One of the best Burrito’s around, honestly probably in all of the region. The environment is amazing and so is the staff. Couldn't post pictures, ate it too fast. 10/10 recommend

This is a great little carryout place with BIG burritos, BIG options and BIG flavors. There is nothing standard or usual about it. They have a gigantic list of hot sauces! They have multiple GREAT vegan options (sweet potato, buffalo cauliflower) and so many other options. They even have a couple seafood options which were a huge win for my pescatarian leaning bf. The burritos will fill you up no doubt. Mine turned into two satisfying meals. The service is quick, friendly and efficient. Such a treat.

It has been a few years since we have had Carlo’s Pizza, so we decided to give it a try this weekend. Service was great, greeted with a smile and the order was definitely on time. The toppings were plenty, as was the amount of cheese. The sauce was a good amount as well and had some nice flavour to it. The crust was good, cooked very well, wasn’t too heavy or dry and had a nice chew to it. It could however, use a bit more flavour, it was kind of bland. Overall a good pizza and the prices were fairly reasonable. Would definitely recommend you try out Carlos if you are in the area, or looking to try a new pizza option.

The customer service is non existent. The pizza and shawarma are decent, the wings aren’t good. Last time I ordered wings they were tiny and broken up. The price is a bit high when considering the portion sizes and lack of customer service.

Carlos and his team pride themselves in delivering a beautiful (feels like a) home cooked meal to your table order by order! We ordered for my nieces 7th birthday and everyone at the party had thirds! The food was well cooked, well flavored, and cost effective. We ordered for 10 people and that food was enough for 20!!! The chicken was honestly my favorite, but I love me some well seasoned chicken. The customer service is like family and the pizza is finger licking good to the crust!!! The bread, and all the ingredients they use on their pizza is high standards. I honestly read some poor comment about customer service, but I can tell you we 100% disagree!!! If you want to enjoy your dinner our family highly recommends Carlo’s Pizza!!!! Oh ya their spicy chicken wings…yummmmmyyyy! Thinking about it now makes me want more! They don’t ever disappoint and their place of work is always soooo clean and looks well maintained!!!

The food is good. Unfortunately, the lady who serves your food is extremely rude. Apparently because of her culture, the management conveyed that there is nothing they can do. She glares at you and purposely won’t make your order properly... pretending to not understand you. Everyone has a bad day once in a while; however this lady is horrible on a continuous basis.

The old lady making the shwarma plates literally puts almost no chicken on your large plate... now on my way to grab a pizza slice because I just paid 15 dollars for a BOX OF RICE. Huge box of rice though, I must say. Never again.

Been going to Carlos Pizza for close to 10 years now, first time trying the new location yesterday. The food was just as delicious! The beef wrap was to die for, as usual, and the poutine was also really good. The new location is very clean and the staff was friendly.

Great experience! The person on the phone was super helpful and explained all the specials clearly. The pizza and wings were absolutely amazing full of flavour and cooked perfectly. On top of that, the customer service was top notch. Will definitely be ordering again!

We had a delivery this evening. Two medium thin crust with 1Lb of wings and fries. I asked the person on the phone for the price so I could have the money ready for the driver. $43:88 I was told would be the cost. When the driver arrived it had risen to $50:88. I asked why when I was told $43:88…..Well you had extra toppings, but the phone person knew that before they told me the cost ??? The fries were cold as were the wings ( delivered in the same box ), My all meat pizza is so salty as to be inedible. Extremely disappointed this time. Never used to be like this. Time for a change I think. Ancaster pizza replied and apologized tremendously, they were having staffing issues which is now resolved. They have completely replaced our order. I thank them for standing up and resolving our issues. The sign of an upstanding business.

I'm off the opinion to support local, but when local costs more, there is no price breakdown for 5 items, just a lump sum and it's 10 min late for pick up I'll have to readjust and find a new place. Unfortunately, today you lost a customer. The soccer fans that ran this place in the past were on their game new management, not so much. I wish you all the best and hope things change.

For $4.50 per slice, I wish I had just chosen to skip lunch instead. With Ginos, Pizza Pizza, and Fortino's near by, I know where I'll go next time... Or at least where I *won't* go.

Excellent Kafta and sauces! We got the mixed grill and it was plenty of food & nice variety for 2 ppl. The owners are also very courteous & super accommodating to us & our toddler. We really appreciated that.

First time husband and I ate here and we will for sure be back!!! The staff are so friendly and kind in sharing their recipes and giving me tips on how to make kofta. They gave us a sample of their falafel made fresh right there. Just finished eating our dinner and we are so impressed. I can't believe that this gem has been so close to home and we haven't enjoyed it sooner.

I happened upon this place by accident yesterday. I had taken my brother out for a birthday lunch and I couldn't be happier. The food is unbelievable! the rice is flavorful and delicious on its own, the chicken is seasoned beautifully, the sauces....dear lord the sauces, they were amazing!. Not only was the food delicious, but the wonderful man who served us behind the counter was very personable, kind and lovely to talk to. I will definitely be returning back to this establishment from now on for my Chicken Shawarma cravings and lovely customer service

Recently revisited Pita House in Hamilton for some dinner with my wife. We have been going here for a few years and have not once been disappointed by the quality of the food or the very generous portions that you receive.This is a super nice family that runs this place and the food is the best 😋 I will always come back and love this place , if you have not tried there food then you are missing out and should be sure to pay them a visit. Mixed Shawarma plate is my go to meal and depending on your appetite it can feed two though I choose to finish it myself 🙂

Finally got to try this cozy spot! Impressed by the many options (a whole seperate menu for veg/vegan options!) There were unique options on the menu like strawberry and sweet grass juice that we’d love to try next time! Service was warm and friendly 💕 Will be back!

A classic diner with an impressive veg / vegan menu. Staff is attentive, but not overbearing. Food was classic diner breakfast with lots of drip coffee refills available. It’s not fancy, but it is good. Will return.

Being celiac usually means I have to skip home fries and toast but not here! We had egg, bacon, toast, home fries and the breakfast BLT made gluten free. Highly recommend. Small location but many options that are made fresh. Lots of options. There are two menus, one that has meat based options, and one with numerous vegetarian and vegan options. Think burgers, sandwiches, pancakes, egg based (vegan or not) dishes, etc. Quite a few drink options as well. Burgers were decent, whether vegan or not. Fries seemed homemade and were good. Vegan pancakes were thick, sweet, and were cooked on an area that had chocolate despite being plain, and had an interesting smell similar to corn bread. Pancakes were too go but had no cutlery or napkins. The strawberry juice (which can be made in a slushie) was absolutely delicious and easily the best part of the experience. Portions can appear small, but are decently sized, so be careful what you wish for. Overall, a family restaurant with homemade style food, a retro vibe and lots of options for everyone.

Had some family members come visit recently from out of town and decided on Tahinis as a place to welcome them to the city. We decided on getting the chicken shawarma wraps with the deluxe toppings that included the sweet pomegranate sauce. The protein cooked to perfection, with the first bite being warm and packed with plenty of flavour. The staff working here were also very delightful and attentive. Overall my family enjoyed Tahinis and well be definitely be back to try more items off their menu.

Chicken Shawarma Poutine is SO good! We also had the Butter Chicken Bowl which was delicious - better than expected from a shawarma place, definitely an interesting combo (you can pick 5 toppings and dress it like a shawarma bowl). Everything was so fresh and the service was great. Best shawarma near McMaster (with 15% student discount)!

Used to be good. Haven’t been here a year, they used to use the round bowl and the potions were good, now they switch to the boat shape bowl, and toppings are definitely less. This location opened around Covid, the food was delicious and so worth the price. Now the price gone up, food not fresh and taste good as before, and the potions went down. Quite disappointing, if you looking for shawarma, it’s just the same like all other franchises, you could definitely find better shawarma anywhere in Hamilton.

First time ever at Tahini’s. Amazing service and great food

Went here today while waiting for our car checkup across the street (mr lube) and the food is very good and worth its price ☺️ the taste is also yummy. Really love the sauces and the vegetables are fresh. We just ordered the regular sized bowl and the serving size is already a lot. The staff are so nice and the place is very spacious and clean. Ambience is good as well 👌 We’re glad we chose to go here while waiting.

This is my new pizza joint!!! Small but Mighty This is really good pizza and wings, The order was fairly quick, I called at the right time I guess. But even having to wait, It would be so worth it!!!! We had pepperoni mushroom and onions, Plenty of sauce and was cooked perfectly. First time customers. We decided to try Mario's after an extended hospital visit. Wow, it was absolutely amazing. We ordered two large pies and they were cooked to perfection. The thick crust was great and the toppings were plentiful. We will be driving from Niagara Falls again and again to order extra pizzas from Mario's. So glad we found them. The counter staff were friendly and extremely helpful. See you tomorrow and again in two weeks time!

We chose Mario's Pizza out of being easy and convenient for a lunch while busy working. We were so impressed with the family friend attitude of these guys and how the fair price gets you so much. Thank you for making a quick affordable lunch for me and my team. We'll come back for sure.

It has been a long time since I walked into an authentic family pizzeria. I was pleasantly surprised when I was truly greeted by the family that runs the place. While I waited many regulars came and went, all known by name. I could not wipe the smile off my face. Now about the pizza. Very well topped, with the perfect cook. The sauce was very tasty, while still alluwing for the quality cheese and toppings to blend into a perfect mouthful of pizza. What really blew my mind was the goodbye by name I received as I was leaving, followed by a few from the back also saying goodbye. All the while busy, and effortlessly flowing. Can't wait for pizza night again! There may be many locations dawning another Italian name, but they cannot hold a candle to Marios

Pizza was full of flavour, fresh toppings and they did not hold back. It was perfectly loaded. I ordered thin crust, pepperoni, bacon strips and banana peppers. And Hot and Honey garlic chicken wings. Highly recommend

We got married last night , we went here for breakfast the next day and it was AWESOME 😎. The service was excellent,the gentleman was very friendly and got us two very delicious coffees , great menu , I got the big breakfast and Melissa got a an omelette. Both came with perfectly crisped tater tots ,Melissa’s omelette was perfectly seasoned . My sausages were delicious and her bacon was perfect, both breakfasts were EXCELLENT. But the service was very personal and very comfortable, the entire experience was really enjoyable. I would highly recommend going here it’s a really great restaurant/diner.

Great experience at this diner. Our group really enjoyed a delicious, well-cooked breakfast. The coffee was top notch and we loved the tater tots. Had breakfast here today with my partner! We both got the classic breakfast with bacon. My eggs, tots and bacon were cooked perfectly! Staff was friendly and attentive and the prices were great! We are more home fries people for breakfast but the tots were cooked perfectly.

Was looking forward to the great breakfast I'd become accustomed to at the John st Diner...unfortunately I left disappointed, the cook on the food was fine, but, deep fried frozen tater tots instead of what used to be the best home fries on earth, one single slice of toast with sausage and eggs was a big disappointment, it came across as cheap and quite frankly, amateurish. I remember this place being packed any given morning, now, 5 people in total, definitely will not be back as there are many better options in the same area...its a shame that another Hamilton favorite is not so great anymore.

Friendly owners , nice to listen to other customers inside talk about how this place has the best food around. The burgers ( Smash burger) is the best burgers I very had. Breakfast, so much food at a low price. A great diner to have around, .. would come back....

Our favourite location! Drive-thru staff are fast and friendly. My Peanut Buster Parfait was a thing os beauty with warm fudge. We were asked if we wanted lids, which gave us an opportunity to opt-out and save on plastic. 🌍

Great service! I went on Monday, expecting it to be busy with the cake deal. There were lots of staff available and I felt very well looked after. It was hard to see some of the cakes through the foggy glass, but the staff were very patient and accommodating in helping me get a better look. 5 stars all the way! All previous visits have been 5 star as well :).

I walked into the store on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. I had seen the commercials for the "sauced and tossed" chicken fingers and had a craving. I wanted to try both flavours, so I asked the young lady at the counter if I could order the basket in one flavour, and then pay extra for just the chicken fingers in the other flavour, as I knew I wouldn't eat two orders, and didn't want to waste food. She said that they could possibly do one basket order, either a four piece or six piece, and split the two flavours two and two or three and three with the one basket. I replied that, if that was possible, it would be greatly appreciated. She spoke with someone, then came back and confirmed they could do this, so I ordered the six piece. She asked if I wanted ranch or blue cheese dip, to which I replied, " blue cheese, please." When the order was ready, another lady came to give me the bag, she told me that there was extra chicken in the order because the pieces were on the smaller side, and then told me that she put two blue cheese dips, and one ranch dip, because some people like the ranch dip with one of the flavours. I live in downtown Toronto, and I have to say that this level of service doesn't happen much where I live, and, frankly, not at a lot of places I've been to. I was very impressed by the level of service I received, and both flavours were great. Thank you!!! I will definitely be back.

They were super friendly from the start of the order . I wanted something mint. The customer service representative was very good in offering the different combinations in a blizzard. New owners? I have been coming to this location from Oakville for many years because it was far and away superior to other locations. For the last few months the food has been dropping in quality. A cold bun every time, leathery fries that don't seem fresh, burger sometimes not as ordered. This summer they had a Friday car show taking up pretty much the entire parking lot, forcing everyone through a long wait in the drive-thru. The staff try hard and aim to please, but the food needs to get back up to the high standards it was before I'd invest in the drive again.

Speedy's Sub is an excellent choice if you're looking for a good, fast, and cheap sub. The owner is a fantastic individual, and the staff is wonderful. The food is a solid four stars, and the value is through the roof, which explains why they get so busy. While the toppings were good, we weren't overly impressed with the bread. Despite that, we would absolutely come back. Its location near the hospital makes it incredibly convenient, and you just can't beat the value you get. Please get rid of the tipping from your debit, people are done with that now.

It’s a really cute little family sub shop and the service was super fast! I tried it out because of the excellent reviews & it definitely lived up to the expectations! I paid $22 after tax for a 12 inch sub, large Greek salad & 2 drinks. I could only eat half my sub it was massive and so delicious!!

Excellent food, service and prices! This has been our go to Hamilton sub shop for about 3 years. We always get great service and are treated like family. Even the customers that go there are always positive. Somebody ahead of me last night ordered a "Speedy Sub" so I tried it. The best sub I've had there yet! It's easy to support local when the food is fresh, service is amazing and the prices are more than fair.

Could not be happier with my experience here, the staff was super friendly, she made my sub very speedy, the prices are actually amazing, in a world of overpriced everything this place is a breath of fresh air, $6.49 for a footlong sub! All the toppings were fresh and tasty, the most important one to me is the tomatoes, they are actually fresh and not way too cold/half frozen like most sub places. I am very happy with everything, 10/10, I will be back here 100% for the foreseeable future. I love you <3 Edit: 2nd time coming here I walked in, was greeted immediately and I ordered my sub, paid and walked out in 60 seconds or less, I was absolutely floored by how fast my sub was made, he asked what I wanted, I said it, he asked what toppings and by the time I looked down the sub was almost completely made I’m still so impressed with how fast that was. I love this place!

I have been coming to Speedy for years. Ordered a gyro but they did not have any left. I understand that it was kind of late around 8pm. So I order a roast beef sub. I am hoping this is a one off but they only put two little strips of meat on my sub. All bun, not like this place to do that, very very disappointed. I am hoping there not changing there ways.

I go here all the time. It’s amazing, you get so much food for the price and they live up to their name. The only thing I don’t like about it is how cramped it can be when waiting if there’s other people but it’s always worth it. The food always slaps and the workers are awesome. I’d eat here every day for every meal if I could. And the coffee news on the counter is genius
