Bar
Californian restaurant
Mayfield, situated in San Juan Capistrano, is a vibrant and modern multi-level restaurant owned by George Barker. The restaurant exudes a lively atmosphere with the owner's active involvement in every aspect of the dining experience. Mayfield offers fresh Mediterranean-inspired dishes using locally sourced seasonal produce. The high-ceilinged dining room provides a bright and sunny ambiance, while the secluded garden patio offers an outdoor dining option.
The perfect spot in San Juan Capistrano to have brunch on a Sunday! We ordered a lot of the dips with veggies had a delicious salad and avocado toast. Everything was excellent. They also have really unique crafted cocktails & excellent coffee. It’s beautifully appointed with the most gorgeous tiles & marble. Along with ton of different wines to choose from to take home. I love the bar and the way everything is set up, such a vibe. I highly recommend it!

First of all I would like to appreciate their amicable service. Everyone’s here is showing more care towards customer satisfaction and they are very attentive. The food itself was super good and fresh. Some of the best vegetarian food I have tasted in Mediterranean cuisine. We ordered a ton of food and we didn’t realize the portion size. Beware of the portion size Y’all. I think the portion in each dish is good enough for two people. Out of all My fav was the focaccia bread and the 5 dips and the sweet potato fries. Overall I was very satisfied with everything and will definitely visit this location again. Disclaimer - it gets pretty busy so I would advice you to plan wait times ahead
Jagadeesh R — Google review
Mayfield in San Juan Capistrano delivers a truly memorable evening. The ambience is lovely, stylish and inviting, perfect for a date night or relaxed dinner. Every staff member carried their own charm and character, making the service feel warm and personal. The menu offers great variety, with thoughtful dishes meant to be shared. The dip & bread starter was so good I couldn’t stop dipping! And the steak? Juicy, delicious, cooked just right. Overall, a gem well worth visiting.

We have the most amazing experience. The waitress was so attentive and the food was 10/10. Incredible vibes
Allen S — Google review
I’ve been here probably 10 or 15 times, and I cannot overstate how good it is. The high quality of the ingredients, the preparation, the unique flavors which are unlike any of their competition, the textures… i’ve had several dishes here (for example the snap peas, the pork chop, the Moroccan carrots) which in my opinion are Michelin level. Cocktails are also interesting and delicious. And if that wasn’t enough, the place is spacious, cool, and the staff are friendly without being too formal. Recommended.
Bradstock — Google review
My wife and I were looking for the perfect place to host our welcome party the night before our wedding, with some criteria in mind. It had to be spacious & aesthetic, have memorable food & cocktails, and have world-class service. It’s safe to say Mayfield checked off all these boxes with flying colors. The amount of people that came up to us to let us know how cool the restaurant was, how excellent the apps and cocktails were, and how professional the service was is unparalleled! Special shoutout to George, the owner of Mayfield, who went out of his way (and with a constant smile on his face) to make sure our requests were covered across all bases. We were already huge fans of everything this place has to offer from a bar/restaurant standpoint, and to have them over-deliver for our welcome party has made us into customers for life. We already cannot wait to come back. Support these guys, because they’re EVERYTHING a dining out experience is supposed to be!
Vidhan C — Google review
Top place to eat in South OC. Quality food, drinks and atmosphere. My husband and I have been frequenting Mayfield for almost 2 years and it is one of our favorite spots. The burgers are exceptional (best burger in OC in my humble opinion) and the breakfast grain bowl is our weekend go-to. We bring friends and family in all the time and it never disappoints. Food is made fresh, menu changes seasonally, food quality tastes local/farm-to-table with beautifully paired spices and don't get me started on the incredible wine selection. Atmosphere feels like a little piece of Europe with Mediterranean influences. It can get pretty busy on Friday night and weekends, so I highly recommend ordering the spinach feta and Muhammara dip with fresh baked foccacia while you wait for your entree. Current seasonal obsession?? Their mussels!
Jessica M — Google review
This is my favorite restaurant. I love everything about it from the amazing food, the decor, and the amazing friendly service. These things have been consistent with every visit. And with their market section, I’m able to buy some spices or a bottle of wine to take a little piece of Mayfield home with me. My favorites are the date labneh, muhammara, Turkish eggs, falafel, and of course the cocktails. But I try to get at least one new thing every time I go!

Breezy's eatery is an intriguing puzzle, providing a blend of tastes that sets it apart as a standout destination for morning meals. Although I'm not usually one for breakfast, Breezy manages to catch my attention during my commute with its lively atmosphere and an extensive menu offering a multitude of options. It adds a refreshing touch to the vicinity.
I absolutely love visiting this place on weekdays! It gets a bit too crowded on weekends, but during the week, it's just perfect. The staff are always so nice and friendly, which makes the experience even better. And oh my goodness, the Adobo plate is my absolute favorite! It’s just delicious! 🍽️✨

Great island 🏝️ experience in San Clemente! They were remodeling for the new restaurant so we ate in Togo plates and plastic forks. The food was delicious and we had Ube Pancakes, eggs Benedict, chicken bowl and Loco Moco. All were good and we will be back after the remodel.
Gary G — Google review
My boyfriend and I have been waiting for such a long time for Breezy to reopen as it is one of our favorite spots, so we had to go on their grand opening weekend. We got sat right away, as I think we just missed the brunch rush on Sunday. The location looks great!!! So much seating and it’s just super cute. We sat outside which we enjoyed. We ordered the honey basil ribeye bowl and burrito which my boyfriend loved from last time. His only complaint is that the meat was a bit dry but he did ask for the sauce on the side and when he added it, he loved it!!!! I decided to try the loco moco this time and really loved the flavor. I ordered their banana latte and I was a fan but the ube latte really surprised me and I would order that next time. Overall the flavor and quality is still there (but I think it can use more sauce for their meat plates since it was dry). Happy they are reopened!

Breezy San Juan Capistrano delivers on all fronts – from its inviting atmosphere to its delectable cuisine and exceptional service. It’s a place where you can unwind and enjoy a memorable meal with friends or family. Whether you're a local resident or just passing through, Breezy offers a dining experience that is both satisfying and delightful. In conclusion, if you find yourself in San Juan Capistrano, make sure to stop by Breezy for a taste of culinary excellence in a relaxed setting.

Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. The potato squares had good texture and were seasoned well. The egg wasn't runny but it had good flavor. It's also a very filling dish. We were taken off the wait-list but once we alerted the host we were able to be seated quickly. The Strawberry Breeze Matcha is a good drink if you prefer a matcha that isn't too sweet. There's shade outside if that's where you'll be seated around 12-1pm.

Breezy is a hidden gem! The dishes we ordered were all delicious and the staff was helpful/friendly. We definitely will be coming back again and again.

What a lovely place to have brunch! Wonderful location and the restaurant does not disappoint. Beautiful aesthetics and the little details that tie the vision with the palette.
Jemell O — Google review
This place has delicious food. My wife, daughter, and I went here before heading to the airport as a great (and positive) way to complete our trip to CA. We parked about a block away (pay for parking, but reasonable) and had to wait for ~40 minutes to get seated. The staff was friendly and helpful, and got us seated after taking our orders. The setting was very casual and you could tell a lot of locals were enjoying their time. When we got our food I knew I would leave stuffed. My pork adobo burrito (which my daughter ordered as well) was certainly big enough I would have been fine with half. My wife went for the Easy Breezy, and couldn’t finish. And top it off we ordered the ube pancake stack, which we barely touched because we were so full. Check this place out.

Cafe Mimosa is a charming French-style bistro located on Avenida Del Mar, offering a delightful array of mimosas and classic French as well as New American cuisine. The cozy setting includes a lovely patio, making it a popular spot for brunch. Their menu features an assortment of delectable dishes such as smoked salmon tartines, croissant French toast, chorizo scramble, huevos rancheros Mimosa-style, and their renowned smoked paprika eggs benedict.
Cute breakfast place in DT San Clemente. Good service and ambiance. We split the croque madame so that’s all we can rate this on but it was good! Ham in the sandwich was very good.
Trish W — Google review
Benedicts are tasty. Mimosas look good but didn't get one. The patio has a nice outdoor vibe and cool breezes. Service was excellent as they frequently filled my water cup. Friendly staff and overall excellent french style cuisine.

Great service from Tyler. The tables were full and I was worried we weren’t going to get a table for 2, but Tyler greeted us right away (made us felt welcomed), sat down and served up mimosas in record time. Great experience and added to a great perfect day in San Clemente.

I have eaten here as my go to brunch spot, let me tell you this spot never disappoints! The service and staff is so friendly greeting you with smiling faces. The food is delicious. I definitely recommend 😱😱😱
Miriam A — Google review
Breakfast So Good I Canceled My Netflix Special. Listen, I've worked in 42 countries and eaten at restaurants where the chef has more Michelin stars than I have forgettable romantic encounters. But Cafe Mimosa in San Clemente? This place is the Sydney Sweeney of breakfast spots – unreasonably good-looking and somehow even better on the inside. Stop- that’s not what I meant. First off, their coffee or as I like to call it my "liquid morning motivation." I had three and then pitched a new tv idea in the parking lot to a mailbox. It seemed interested. The pork belly eggs benedict? Let me tell you, Sydney in a bathing suit is less perfect than their hollandaise sauce. Smooth, rich, with just the right amount of lemon, layered over pork belly so tender it seems unfair. Kind of makes me emotional. For animal activists. Cause there’s no turning this around. Honestly, it felt life-changing. But my therapist says I need to stop developing emotional attachments to breakfast foods. Obviously she hasn't been here. And the staff? Tyler in particular- what a mensch. Remembered my name after one visit. Most of my dates can’t even do that. The whole operation here runs here like if efficiency and charm had a baby and that baby was really good at refilling coffee and making you fat. Bottom line: Cafe Mimosa is no joke – reliable, satisfying, and will leave ya wanting more. Five stars isn't enough. Neither is this review. But my therapist also says I need to stop writing reviews and get back to pretending to work.

Trevor's at the Tracks is a charming indoor-outdoor restaurant located in an 1894 railway depot, offering upscale New American cuisine and drinks. The restaurant has historical significance as it showcases the train stop between San Juan Capistrano and San Diego. With a shaded patio surrounded by potted plants and climbing vines, it's an iconic spot for brunch and lunch.
This is a great place to chill with live music, good drinks and excellent food. The only (and not major) issue with the ambiance is the closeness of the tables on the patio. If you are next to a loud group - like some who don’t live here and ride the train from Santa Ana etc - it can be noisy. The food is actually outstanding. See attached pics.
Doug B — Google review
Trevor’s at the Tracks is a true gem in the heart of San Juan Capistrano. The location is unbeatable—set right next to the train station, making it a perfect spot for people watching and soaking in the charming energy of the town. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed watching the trains roll in and out while people came and went. It added a lively, nostalgic atmosphere to our meal. We ordered the Mac & Cheese with Chicken Parmesan and the Spicy Pasta. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The Mac & Cheese is rich and decadent—definitely a comfort food indulgence, and more than my mom could finish. The Spicy Pasta brought the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. Loved the fresh mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach in the dish. The service was top-notch. Friendly, attentive staff made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Trevor’s is clearly set up to accommodate everything from casual lunches to larger gatherings, and the ambiance is versatile enough for any occasion. Whether you're a local or just visiting San Juan Capistrano, Trevor’s at the Tracks is a must-visit spot.
Tracy F — Google review
First visit, this is a great, very different location, with a train stopping literally next door. The “Pretty Bird Chicken Sandwich” ($24) was very good, served with very good fries and spicy ketchup. The food was served hot, in a very reasonable time. The “English Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake ($14), was just OK. I’ve had this dessert in England and this was a poor try at it, although it did taste OK. The service was good, paid city parking lot ($2 / hr), but the total experience was quite dear, not someplace to visit regularly. Recommended.
W P — Google review
It's an awesome old train station that has been turned into a beautiful restaurant. Great outdoor and indoor seating. They have love entertainment too in the patio. The Ahi tuna nachos were amazing. Also just across the train tracks is the oldest neighborhood in California, with great art stores. Great place to walk after a great meal.
Kelly W — Google review
Such a quaint area and ambiance. I recommend it as a cool experience to all. The flatbread I had was yummy. My friend has the short rib Bahn mi. I had the spicy Sicilian flatbread and it was great, the only comment I have is that one side of it was darkened crispy crust and the other side was perfectly cooked. Other than that it was a great experience.
Shideh B — Google review
The food was absolutely amazing here! We tried the karate chip chicken salad and a chicken sandwich, along with the tropical cobbler for desserts. There was a moderate to long wait probably because it was a Labor Day weekend, but it was absolutely worth it! They were even kind enough to serve a patty for our dog! Adding to the ambiance was the live music that just made the experience even better. We'll certainly be visiting this place again!
Arjun M — Google review
Brought my dad on a walk around the area, I've been here before with my friend and brought him the next day. He liked the live music and we went here almost everyday for the vibes, food wasn't too bad- selectively I'd go for the flatbread (really liked the chicken pesto&bbq chicken) and service was great. Dad labs the taco beer 3 days in a row! So this is our go to now Everytime he comes back to Cali, my parents likes this place. Worth the buck for the atmosphere and overall experience.

The Cellar is a charming New American eatery and wine bar located in the heart of Del Mar Street. It features a cellar-like ambiance with dark woods, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers an array of all-American cuisine, including sharing platters, cheese boards, and hearty mains like stacked burgers, mac n cheese, short ribs, and grilled salmon. In addition to its artisan cheese shop, The Cellar also boasts outdoor dining and live music events.
We had great service this time. Sat at the bar, and Tanner was the bartender. He was absolutely fantastic. I have had poor service before at least 3 times, and that's why I've only given 4 stars. Food was fantastic. Duck ravioli and grilled portobello were our meals. My only other complaint is that it's just dark, and for those of us who are older, it makes it difficult to read a menu. Beautiful place inside and out and every item we've tried has been delicious
Deanna B — Google review
One of my all-time favorite San Clemente restaurants! The truffle popcorn on the dinner menu is so good you’ll want to order seconds. And the cheese boards are simple but exquisite. Sitting in their outside patio on a lovely California day drinking a Hugo Spritz in the sunshine is my definition of a perfect time in this little beach town. Absolutely check it out- you won’t be disappointed!

Ended up grabbing a table at this restaurant on a very busy Mother’s Day. While most restaurants turned us down for no reservation and no walk-ins on special days, The Cellar was very happy to accommodate us on their pet friendly patio. Food was great and reasonably priced. I had the burrata and beet salad and I really enjoyed it. Staff and customers were equally friendly.

Happy Hour review: Five stars! The happy hour menu is excellent. We had the cheese plate and tater tots which was a great snack. The cheese plate is carefully crafted and comes with some creative accompaniments. The cheese monger here is clearly passionate and knowledgeable! I also want to shout out their lavender caramel latte. This drink was incredible, with the lavender infused into the caramel and swirled on the outside of the glass. An extremely memorable latte!

More of a 3.5 stars, but rounded it up to be nice. The good parts: both the food taste and the service were good. The food presentation was also nicely done. The not so good part: I understand that the town is expensive, but still. For the cheese and meat boards was expecting better sides like honey, jam and similar that should have come with it. Also for the mushrooms flatbread, the taste was good but mushrooms were absent 😒

Nestled along Camino Capistrano, El Maguey Restaurant is a charming family-owned cantina that captures the essence of traditional Mexican dining. With its inviting patio seating and a menu brimming with authentic dishes, this eatery prioritizes quality over extravagance. Guests rave about the handmade recipes, including unique salsas made from dried Japanese chilies and an exceptional chili colorado enriched with pumpkin seeds. The complex mole sauce is another highlight that reflects true culinary craftsmanship.
I have come to El Maguey several times and every time I am delighted by the excellent Mexican food. This was the first time I came for an early lunch, 11a, and having skipped breakfast, I wanted something with eggs. We started with chips and guac, which are so tasty. Then we both ordered Chilaquiles. I followed the recommendation of my friend in getting both red and green sauces and fried eggs over medium. The chips were not soggy, but just perfect. And the meat was medium rare, exactly how I like it. Now I know that both the dinner and lunch menus are dialed in and the food is always good. Also, El Maguey is always a pleasant experience because the staff is so friendly, and attentive to checking in and keeping drinks refilled. Can't wait to come again.
Ron H — Google review
The outdoor seating is very nice. It is more of an indoor space with huge windows. The salsa served with chips was too spicy for me but the rest of my family enjoyed it. The hostess was quick to seat us, get us drinks and offered us chips and Guacamole. She offered it like, "chips, salsa, guacamole?" Like it was complimentary, but laster charged us. I decided not to make a fuss because it was so good and was $8.98. The waitress took a while to come and take our order. Also my daughter ordered breakfast, machaca that the menu states comes with potatoes. It was served with rice and beans. The waitress says that they have changed it, but have not changed the menu yet, something she should have said to us when ordering. But was quick to bring us a small side of potatoes too. The food was excellent, and I will still come back.
Carrie B — Google review
This review is long overdue. I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times, and each experience has been consistently impressive. The service is exceptional; the staff is always attentive, frequently checking in to ensure that everything is to my liking and offering helpful recommendations from their extensive menu. While chips and salsa are complimentary, the guacamole, though extra, is definitely worth the price—it’s fresh, flavorful, and a perfect complement to their slightly spicy salsa. Every dish I’ve tried has been great, with no complaints so far. However, I would suggest skipping the *Camarones à la Diabla* if you’re expecting something particularly spicy, as I found it to be a bit sweeter than anticipated, though it still carries great flavor. On the other hand, the *Chilaquiles* are a standout; the chips retain a satisfying crispness and are not overly soggy, which I greatly appreciate. The meat is tender and well-cooked, adding to the dish’s overall quality. Another favorite of mine is the Bistek with Ranchero sauce—absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend it with a side of sliced avocado and sour cream, though that’s my personal preference. The restaurant maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere, with spotless restrooms and dining areas. While it may be slightly on the pricier side, the food quality justifies the cost. Additionally, the menu offers a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options, making it a great choice for those with dietary restrictions or food intolerances. The enchiladas, particularly the *Enchiladas de Mole* are also worth mentioning—they’re simply amazing. Overall, this is a solid choice for anyone seeking flavorful and well-prepared Mexican cuisine.

Great family style Mexican restaurant. I have been stopping at El Maguey for years and have never been disappointed. I particularly like their ceviche and mole dishes.
Gordon S — Google review
First visit to this restaurant, nice patio seating. I had the #6 shredded beef taco and cheese enchilada. Good flavors all the way around, my only complaint is that the table chips were too tough and slightly hard to eat. But a nice surprise at hearing the Mission bells ring, as the Mission is very close. Good service, location has very limited parking. Recommended.
W P — Google review
We went for lunch today. We hadn't been in a while because I don't love the salsa, but in the past the food has been good, so we decided to go again. Anyway, we both ordered salads. I had the avocado chicken salad and my guy had the chicken taco salad. The salads were not very substantial. The chicken was okay. The salad included a few pieces of avocado. The ranch dressing had clearly been watered down; it had no thickness at all and lacked flavor; it was like pouring white water on my salad. The chicken taco salad was okay, but not enough to constitute a meal. We each had ice tea; it was good ice tea, but not amazing enough to cost $4.50 per class. Anyway, $50 later, + a $10 tip and we were still hungry. We did like the looks of the breakfast menu, so we will try again for breakfast, but as far as a lunch spot for us, this place is off the list.
A.L. C — Google review
We stopped for dinner at 8:13pm (their website says they close at 9. Backed up traffic in town from an accident at Ortega kept us from arriving earlier). We walked in, all the tables were cleared, chairs stacked. Nope, their service was done. We could order to go but even that was agreed to very begrudgingly. Don’t misunderstand, we love their food but maybe they should update their website to say they close at 8pm…

Craft House Food + Drink offers a sophisticated dining experience with its fresh and locally sourced New American cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, local craft beers, and boutique wines. The restaurant takes pride in its extensive selection of American whiskeys. Guests can enjoy the indoor/outdoor vibe created by sliding windows and a spacious outdoor courtyard. Signature cocktails like "Oil Be There for You" and "Nate's Old Fashioned" are highly recommended.
I have been to Craft House for their happy hour, which is delicious and reasonably priced. But I never considered it for brunch until I came to the REDO antique market today. It will be my new go to spot! Started with the most delicious bloody NAUDI. Blue cheese, stuffed olives, and bacon, and just the right amount of spice! Convinced my friend that we should share the chicken and waffles and each ordered an egg on the side literally have died and gone to heaven! Crispy juicy chicken, bourbon butter on the waffles. We asked to have the syrup heated, which was the right call! Poured on top of everything and the flavor profile was delicious! We really wanted to try the pistachio coffee cake, but were too full. I’ll be back for sure! Alex, our server was present, responsive and funny! Very fair prices and no up charge on the egg!

If you are a whiskey aficionado you will love this place. Not only do they have popular and rare whiskeys the bartenders are very knowledgeable about their craft and super friendly. Nate and Frank were both very accommodating. We got some complimentary tastes of whiskey we were curious about. We only had one appetizer and it was amazingly tasty with crispy rice, fresh ahi and flavorful sauces. Their menu looks delicious with grilled meatloaf and fried chicken. This is our new go to bar!

This was the second time we cane here and honestly it was even better this time. The food was so delicious and the drinks were crafted perfectly. It has definitely become a place we will come back to time and time again.

We went there for dinner on a Wednesday night after a beach day with the kids. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated. Parking is very limited—there’s a small lot, or you can park uphill near the restaurant or next building by the nail salon. The food was great overall. I ordered the Wagyu beef with chimichurri. The flavor was excellent, though the beef was slightly overcooked—I had asked for medium rare. The kids ordered burgers with fries. They mentioned the burgers tasted a bit like fish, possibly because of the grass-fed beef. The service was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience.

Craft House in Dana Point is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and staff is awesome. My complements to the chief Keene Vasquez for the most amazing food I have ever tasted. My family loves it and will definitely be coming back.

Worst experience ever. They’re trying to be Coastal Kitchen, but they’re simply not! Just as my dinner arrived, the “Floor manager” (meaningless title), Courtney, asked me to move from my table to the worst little table on the patio to accommodate other guests because they had dogs and couldn’t sit inside (why is this my problem?). So do I have this right? I arrive early, am seated and am later asked to move to a terrible table so that people with loud and poorly behaved dogs can have adequate seating!? Terribly insulting and indicative of what an awful restaurant this is. This was my third and last try at Craft House. There are many wonderful restaurants in the Lantern district with inventive menus and lovely service. Don’t waste your money on this disrespectful hovel. Cold food, ugly dark decor. Simply not worth the money. Go to Cracker Barrel instead.

Stopped by Craft House in Dana Point on a Saturday afternoon and grabbed a seat on the patio with my family. Their happy hour was amazing. Great selection of drinks and shareable bites at really solid prices. Staff was super welcoming, friendly, and on top of everything without hovering. Loved the location, loved the value, and honestly the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. If you’re in Dana Point and want a laid-back spot with good food, good drinks, and great service, Craft House is a win. I’ll definitely be back!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here the night before our wedding and couldn’t have been happier. We reserved the private dining room in the back for a seated dinner with family and our wedding party, then welcomed a little over 100 guests for small bites and drinks. The night was a blast. The staff took wonderful care of everyone, the food was outstanding, and guests kept raving about the great vibe at Craft House. Blake and team were easy to work with and incredibly accommodating. Highly recommend Craft House!

Ellie's Table at The Egan House is a charming breakfast-forward bakery nestled within the historic Egan House in San Juan Capistrano. The Victorian/Renaissance Revival-style building boasts a detailed brick exterior and a lovely wrap-around wooden deck. As an offshoot of Jay's Catering, this eatery serves up fresh and homemade breakfast and lunch items, including pastries, breakfast burritos, omelets, toasts, chicken and waffles, as well as espresso drinks.
I stumbled upon this cafe on my way north from San Diego, and it was an absolute gem! I ordered the Spanish Omelette and Belgian Waffle, and both were incredible choices. The omelette was massive but delicious, packed with tasty sauce, and the waffle was just right. My boyfriend went for the Steak Breakfast sandwich, which was soft, buttery, and the meat was surprisingly tender. The guacamole inside was fresh and bursting with flavor. He also ordered the side of potatoes, which were well-seasoned and delicious. For drinks, we got the iced americano and cappuccino. The cappuccino came in a large cup and was so good that it didn’t even need any sugar added. The outdoor seating was a huge plus for me. There was plenty of it, but there was also a small parking area with limited spots. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it.

Nice restaurant here in San Juan Capistrano, I am assuming that this area is part of downtown. Parking is definitely a challenge. Very limited free parking behind the restaurant. I didn’t see any street parking close by. But there is lots of paid public parking in the area. Some are $10, some are $4 for 2 hours. The restaurant itself has inside and outside seating available. Lots of options for everyone. Staff is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Atmosphere is nice and pleasant. Very relaxed and friendly. Food was good. My wife had the chilaquiles, I had the Ellie’s Table Breakfast Combo. It was all delicious, good seasoning, nice and crispy bacon, it all tasted fresh. Definitely a place to come back to. We came from Lake Forest, so this could be our to go breakfast place whenever we come down this area. Definitely recommend to try!

A favorite spot for me and my girlfriends to go have breakfast. We come here on a girls trip every year and we have to hit up ellie's! We typically get the eggs benedict, oatmeal and hot cocoa or a milk steamer

Absolutely love this place—every visit feels like a little slice of heaven! It's easily one of the most charming, well-kept spots around, with a stunning view that never gets old and an atmosphere that radiates warmth and happiness. The staff truly go above and beyond—Kim, Juan, Eva, and Lily made us feel so welcome and cared for, offering service that was nothing short of exceptional. We started with two croissants—almond and chocolate—and both were out-of-this-world delicious. Flaky, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Not only were they beautifully presented, but they tasted even better than they looked. We also tried the breakfast burrito with gravy, and... wow. Just wow. It was rich, flavorful, and totally unforgettable—honestly life-changing! There’s a kind of magic in the air here. From the food to the people to the overall vibe, it’s clear that this place is something special. I've been here multiple times, but today's visit sealed the deal—this is officially one of my favorite places of all time.

Absolutely phenomenal cinnamon buns , chilaquiles, and breakfast burritos! Friendly counter service, will be back. Edit August 2025: We ordered catering for a baby sprinkle and the food and service was phenomenal. We had everything delivered and we loved all of the recommendations Samantha gave us! Definitely will work with this restaurant again!

Delicious food and not enough stomach room, lol. Bruschetta toast, ham & cheese croissant and lemon poppyseed cake were all very tasty. The signature Kouign Amann was too sweet for my liking, but good to try. The salmon elote summer salad piqued my interest and I’d love to order it next time. Service was great. Overall, loved my experience here and look forward to coming back.

Perched on the picturesque coastline, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel offers a luxurious oceanfront retreat with stylish rooms and suites. The resort boasts a lavish spa offering unique treatments like the Pacific Wave massage and Coastal Illuminating Facial. Guests can also partake in eco-adventures at the Eco-Adventure Center led by expert naturalists, featuring whale-watching excursions, sea hikes, bodyboarding trips, and an Eco Artist program.
Had the most incredible stay to celebrate our engagement. The recently renovated rooms are really nice and modern but still feel like a Ritz Carlton. The service was amazing and couldn’t walk around for too long without someone approaching us and asking if we needed anything. But I will say the highlight was booking Ian at Atventure for a complimentary photography session. He captured shots that our friends told us belong in a magazine. Definitely recommend working with him as we went in thinking we would barely have 10 photos we wanted to purchase, but left having a hard time cutting our favorites down to 20. All around a great trip. Can’t wait to come back!
Natalie J — Google review
The service has completely gone downhill for the money that they demand. This was closer to a low-tier 4-star hotel experience. They’ve clearly prioritized corporate events over individual stays/retreats. Our room was located right behind a boombox where they were hosting events in the evenings. We could not enjoy our “beach view” staring at the back of people and a boombox blasting into the night. If you text the valet like the ticket says to, the valet ignore it and you still have to wait for your car at the entrance (even if they’re not busy). We requested a simple accommodation for a child, which was ignored and not done when we arrived. A deep tissue massage at the spa is a borderline scam. It’s 300% priced over market and the massage was more like a light body touch rather than a deep tissue massage. We complained about all of this and they simply ignored our complaints like it didn’t happen. We’ve come here for more than a decade as a retreat, however the service has degraded so much that we will not be returning.

You’re not going to be mad about any part of this hotel. However, there are a few bright spots that deserve recognition! Joel, at Raya, is simply one of the greatest servers I think we’ve ever dined with. You are going to want to request him when you eat here. He is exactly what I imagine the Ritz Carlton hotels have built their reputation on. By the end of our lunch (we ate there several times after becuse he was so kind to us), we literally felt like he was one of the best parts of the stay. Way to go. Overall great hotel and super convenient.

Breathtaking Views and Exceptional Service The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel is one of those places that never fails to impress. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with warmth and professionalism that immediately makes you feel at home. The ocean views are absolutely stunning, and every corner of the property is immaculate. The service here is consistently top-notch — everyone you encounter is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about your experience. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, enjoying a drink on the terrace, or taking a stroll along the beach, everything feels effortless and perfectly curated. It’s the ideal mix of laid-back coastal California and refined luxury. My wife and I always leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our next visit.

We had a wonderful experience at this location, which is perfectly situated on the water. Amazing views, interior design, and conveniently on a trolley stop if you like that sort of thing. Very kid-friendly. Most of our staff experiences were very good, but we did encounter some staff who didn’t seem very customer-service oriented (at the outdoor dining location and near the beach chair trailer), and the property needed more tending at times (e.g., towels left on top of a garbage and an old French fry on the ground for days, etc). For the brand and price, we would have expected more consistent excellence. However, we still had a wonderful time here and felt the location was incredible. Some of the staff at the pool and in the lobby/reception area were incredibly kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay for two nights to celebrate our joint anniversaries for us and our family members who also booked their rooms on same nights. Beautiful location, bars, and restaurants. Outdoor bar facing the Pacific Ocean can get busy and full during sunset hours - perhaps by non hotel staying guests. There was a huge wedding going on outdoors under our window/balcony facing the beach on hotel premise for few hours during the day but it did not bother us. September can be a busy wedding month.
Nasu D — Google review
One of the best hotel stays we have had in all our travels. The staff were all excellent and accommodating as one would expect. Rooms were beautiful, views were beautiful, on property dining was very enjoyable. Of course for the Ritz, it’s not for those who are budget conscious.
Eric M — Google review
If you’re looking for a peaceful luxury stay, this is not the place. This hotel is an event venue first and a luxury hotel second. Nearly every night there were loud parties on the lawns that went late into the evening — not only making it impossible to relax, but also completely ruining what should have been a beautiful view. I will never stay here again, and I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you’re expecting a true luxury experience.

Delice Breton is a charming little café that transports you straight to France with its delightful offerings. Indulge in the rich, buttery flavors of flaky croissants and crisp macarons, or savor the tender hazelnut madeleines. For those seeking savory delights, their avocado toast, salads, omelets, and quiches provide a wonderful variety. Don't miss out on their house-made crepes for an authentic French experience!
I stopped by Delice Breton today and absolutely loved everything I tried! The coffee was rich and aromatic — a perfect start to the day. Their signature sandwich was packed with flavor, made with fresh bread and high-quality ingredients. The chocolate croissant was just like the ones you find in France — flaky, buttery, and filled with delicious chocolate. I also had the egg and ham croissant, which was warm, satisfying, and full of flavor — a perfect breakfast option. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Perfecto! A wonderful gem with attentive and friendly staff. The Mushroom Omelette with added Ham is the way to go, and the baguette sandwiches are so delightful! Fantastic pastries as well.

It's a lovely French restaurant offering a classical breakfast. I appreciate that it also functions as a small French marketplace where you can buy some goodies. We ordered the Croque Madame, Ham & Cheese Crepe, and Beignets. While it was a tasty breakfast, I recommend ordering a salad with the Croque Madame, as the dish was a bit dry for our taste.

Love this place! Have been a few times and it never disappoints! Love that they can make any crepe on buckwheat! Had their croque madame today and it was absolutely fantastic. I opted for the large as I can eat and I’m glad I did. Nice ambiance inside too. Plus, they have pastries and a great selection of groceries to take a little piece of France home.

Small, convenient little café that serves French dishes. Ordered the brie & ham baguette sandwich and the savory salmon crepe. The sandwich was filling but the eggs in the crepe could definitely use more butter to make it tastier. Ordered the mint julep as well but it tasted like sprite. Overall convenient and will try the other dishes later when in the area.

One of the best French breakfast/lunch places in Orange County. Amazing high quality authentic French food, friendly staff in a very nice environment. I will definitely be coming back.

Orange County can be surprising. This little gem offers good croissants and omelettes. While the omelette (ham & cheese) lacked a bit of texture, it was well executed (perfectly cooked). The chocolate croissant had a rich butter texture and flavor. Good all around. I'll go back.

We come here 1-2 a week and on holidays. I have been wanting to gate keep this place but they deserve the praise. Matt, Anita, Joey, Suki, Noel, Taylor and Cole have all waited on us and every time it’s been a delightful experience. From the polite and kind valets like Parker our experience here from start to finish is always a 10/10. The food, drinks, and service is always on point. We couldn’t wait to dig into our food before we took a photo.

We went there on a flamenco night. It was a beautiful atmosphere, good service. The food was not of the same level. I had the salad which was supposed to have asparagus but they were nowhere in sight maybe just a peeled skin, hard to swallow. The apple dessert was more like a morning donut-type sweet with ice cream. The icecream was excellent . Maybe they could be a bit more generous with the pour?
Donatella P — Google review
The ambience of this place especially the outside is wonderful. The live music is nice too. If you are vegan or vegetarian give this place a wide birth. As a group of veggie/vegan people we had a traumatic experience! The caesar salad is marked as vegetarian and when we asked the server they mentioned it has anchovies! In the year 2025, a restaurant should have a good idea of what veggie or vegan means! We had clearly mentioned that we are all vegetarians to the server. A dish containing fish was put on the table and many in our party consumed it without knowing! It was a traumatic experience! The manager did come around and apologize and not charge us for a dish but our overall mood was ruined. Would suggest the management to look into the procedures to ensure this doesn't repeat and also do some reading on how dietary preferences work! We ordered every veggie dish on the menu and not one tasted good!

Great for lunch, nice dinner options and ok for breakfast - Ate all 3 meals here and found that lunch was the right price for the right amount of food and good quality. Dinner was generally very good tasting but certainly at a premium price that is just a little too much. Breakfast was a disappointment as everything was either heavy foods or very sweet. For example the french toast are filled with a lot of nutella and the waffles have a lot of sugar, then topped with whipped cream. No oatmeal, or yorgurt or lighter foods unless you just order sides. Staff are generally friendly but very young, seem like many are teenagers or college students. Overall the food was good enough and service good enough esp. if you don't want to leave the hotel. If they took it to the next level it would really be a destination, otherwise it's mostly a nice convenience.

I am very happy with the service I received here! Most importantly, upon entering I was greeted by Arielle, who was very friendly and attentive to us even though we didn’t have a reservation. She assured us that it wasn’t an issue and we were seated quickly. The food was very good with a good variety and the drinks were phenomenal! We even sat at the bar afterwards for another drink! Shout out to the bar workers! When we left, Arielle was so kind enough to answer any questions I had about what else is around the area for us to explore within our next few days. She really went above and beyond! I’m very satisfied with the service of the place and the quality of food, not the mention it is a very beautiful spot. When I am back in town I will be returning!

My enduring lack of fandom for this establishment is a testament to its unwavering commitment to mediocrity. It's truly a marvel how a place can consistently underwhelm on every front – food quality, service, and ambiance – and still have customers. I can only assume the locals frequent it out of some deeply ingrained, masochistic habit, perhaps a nostalgic yearning for "the good old days" when the original owners apparently sprinkled magic fairy dust (and actual flavor) into their dishes. Speaking of dishes, my "Oriental Chicken Salad" was an artistic masterpiece of disappointment. For a mere $17, I was presented with what I can only describe as a deconstructed dream: a generous mountain of shredded iceberg lettuce (clearly a connoisseur's choice), a couple of canned mandarin orange slices (for that authentic, straight-from-the-can zing), and a triumphant handful of peanuts, boldly substituted for the advertised cashews. Because who needs cashews when you can have… peanuts? It was truly a culinary rebellion against the very concept of value. My daughter, ever the optimist, bravely ventured into the realm of waffles. Her plate arrived bearing four desolate waffle sections, flopped with all the enthusiasm of a damp dish rag. No fanfare, no fruit, no whipped cream – just a stark, minimalist statement of "here are some waffles. Now eat them." It was a profound lesson in the art of doing the absolute bare minimum. Despite the restaurant being only half-filled, our service was a masterclass in controlled chaos – simultaneously inattentive and rushed. One can only hope that no member of our family ever, under any circumstances, suggests a return visit. I'd rather eat my own underwear, and I'm fairly certain it would offer more flavor and better value.

Service did not disappoint from the moment we arrived. Place was busy with customers. All the staff was friendly and engaging. Our drinks were constantly topped off. Our waitress was accomadating. Always making sure our choices were to our likening. The amount of food you get and price was on point. Outside patio you are allowed to have your pet sit by your side. Mollies does not disappoint. It's great experience from beginning to end. You won't be disappointed with your choice!

First visit, it’s not in the greatest location, slightly shabby. But friendly staff, opened the door for us, and quickly greeted us at our table. I had a tuna melt with fries. Served hot (the filling was steaming), fries hot, all good. Looks like it might be really good for breakfast, I’ll be back. Recommended.

I’ve been to Mollies a dozen times and its a hit or miss on the service and food. The last 2 times we were there it was a big miss. It wasn’t busy at all but the service was very slow, it took 15 minutes to take our order and 0ver 30 minutes for our food to come out. We go there for lunch as we work around the corner. The food is pretty good but the second time for slow service we’re done going back.

Hidden House Coffee in San Juan Capistrano is a charming and welcoming coffee shop with a creative atmosphere. The historic Oliveras House, dating back to 1890, provides a unique setting for this cafe. They roast their own beans at a Santa Ana roastery and offer a variety of coffee drinks, including cold brews and espresso. The cozy wooden porch and tree-filled patio are perfect spots to enjoy your beverage.
Hidden House Coffee is a true gem! The service is always friendly, making every visit a pleasant experience. Their coffee is fantastic, with a variety of flavors and plenty of milk alternatives for lattes. The pastry selection is top-notch—everything is always fresh and delicious. One of the highlights is their seasonal kombucha, which is always a refreshing treat, along with their expertly crafted lattes. I’ve been coming here for three years now, and I always look forward to getting one of my favorites—whether it’s the Honey Lavender Latte, the Matcha, or in the past the dearly missed Maple Bourbon Latte. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous, making it well worth the 5+ minute wait. If you're looking for a cozy, high-quality coffee spot, this is it!

The Hidden House Coffee is such a cute hidden gem! The cozy vibe pairs perfectly with their delicious selection of pastries—both sweet and savory. I loved my iced maple brown sugar coffee (so smooth and flavorful), and the cinnamon rolls were amazing. The jalapeño ball was a tasty surprise definitely worth trying. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a chill spot with great coffee and treats!

This is an excellent coffee shop with plenty of options for a variety of tastes from regions around the world. The strawberry matcha was particularly good, and service was kind and fast. There can be a bit of a line/crowd at times, but it makes sense when you factor in the quality of the drink you’re getting. Plenty of seating when we were there, including outside seating. This isn’t a cafe where I’d get work done on a laptop, but a fantastic place to spend time with friends!

Favorite coffee shop in the area! Super friendly staff and delicious cold brew and iced matcha, especially their seasonal drinks. Home made granola is also delicious. If it’s your first time visiting, the line forms straight back from the register and goes out the front door… it does not curl inside. You’ll figure out what this means when you visit!

My friend shared with me that this is a wonderful place with some big trees overshadowing the cafe. I was surprised because I normally don’t associate too many cafes with tall trees especially in the Orange County area. As soon as I saw Hidden House Coffee, the rationale for the name clicked in my head. It is indeed a “hidden” house! It’s incredibly lovely inside with some seating right next to where the barista works. More seating is found outside in the patio. There’s a wide range of people groups and ages. There was a musician playing his saxophone outside of the house. I was told there is normally a long line for such places like this. My friend and I were lucky to have stood in line for the non-rush hours of this place. My friend got a sparkling expresso tonic and I got a chai latte (iced). The coffee tonic, according to my friend, is the best here because the blending of the sparkling water and expresso is done just right without it being too overpowering in flavor. For me, the chai latte, was delicious. It did not taste artificially syrupy, and drinking our drinks in the cafe was a treat! I got to pay for the space to hang and eat. God bless you all! Service was kind and quick - I know things can get busy when there’s a lot of people, so thank you for the genuine effort you put into providing good sustenance for everyone!

A Seattle-based coffeehouse chain recognized for its unique roasts, light snacks, and availability of WiFi. This particular Starbucks location is highly regarded with a reputation for friendly service. However, some customers have expressed their desire for a larger interior space to accommodate more seating and dine-in options. Additionally, they have raised concerns regarding the removal of outlets which were previously available for device charging and usage while inside the establishment.
Capistrano is beautiful as a city with nice cool weather. This Starbucks puts in a good mood every time I come back. Inside and outside seatings are never get bored 😴 arras.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Jay’De for making our visits to Starbucks truly exceptional. His upbeat, go-happy attitude and genuine conversations made us feel more like friends than customers. He clearly knows the menu inside and out and gave great recommendations that my wife and I really appreciated. His passion for what he does shows, and it’s the kind of service that leaves a lasting impression. We actually came back two days in a row because of how great he was—and we’ll definitely keep coming back to this location because of him. Thank you, Jay’De, for making our Starbucks experience something to look forward to.

Please be aware of what you are being served. I received 2 items "pastry" that are still packaged with a packaged expiration date on it of 22,Nov,2023 with no discard date on it. This was purchased on 1/31/24. 🤮 Some times you are given these items in a Starbucks bag unwrap and don't even know if it's expired or not.

At little harder to get to from Obispo. Between Pets Plus and the bank. A local would probably say, close to Molino de Oro, a great taqueria but I'm off track here. Chairs n umbrellas outside. Enter order counter straight ahead (inside pic posted). Smaller SB, with one unisex restroom down the far left edge past order counter. I've often found the restroom clean and stocked. Left wall in main area has nick knacks and there is a small bagged treats rack. Main area has two huge circular tables with about 5 chairs each, great for large groups. Three or so regular tables in opposite corners. Then my fav, a counter next to the front window with four stools great for singles or chummy couples. All those tables and yes, plugs too! As some SB have pulled a few out, I assume to kibosh lounge leeches. Service has been nice, grumpy grump every now and then, but hey were all human. Most of the time I've heard them be very helpful and suggest things for customers. Not a huge mobile order store at least for lunch or dinner when I've visited. Pretty quiet, many singles, couples and a random family. TIP *** The "later" closing SB @ 9pm average in SJC. The others close earlier.

A little gem of a place in San Juan Capistrano. We randomly came across it after my daughter's soccer match, and choice of food or plenty and every single one of them are delicious. Just a heads up if you are ordering the quesadilla for your kids they are a bit on the spicy side. Portion size phenomenal, taste is even better. I tried the pesto sandwich, the quesadilla and steak burrito.👍👍👍

Great onion rings. Usually get Santa Fe Chicken salad which is very good and large enough to split. Burgers are good, not exceptional. Menu is absolutely huge. Don't know how they do it. Breakfast seems popular. Portions large.

Found this place as the children were starving driving from county to county. Amazing Food. Every time we have popped in over the years, we have always enjoyed the food. Very fresh and cooked well, price is great. Wide variety of selection that the entire family is happy with. Friendly staff and great, clean atmosphere.

My suggestion to this restaurant is to serve exactly what you print on your paper menu! Don’t have an up charge for meat of $3.99 when it says on the paper menu meat is included in Greek omelet. The electronic menu is different. Very deceptive and unethical. After my wife spoke with 2 of the female owners their response was she still had to pay for the add on that was listed as INCLUDED on the paper menu.

OUCH !! I returned for another visit, but WOW ! (see photos)….$8.00 for a VERY SMALL portion of zucchini fries, the portion size was certainly not worth the price charged. Won’t order that again…. First visit, I got the cheeseburger combo, figuring that if it was good, then the rest of the menu should be good too. Burger was very average, certainly nothing to brag about. The serving of fries was generous and served hot. Maybe I’ll try breakfast next time, I saw several nice looking dishes being served.

I recently visited this spot for the first time, and I have to say, the customer service was impressive right from the start. I was warmly greeted upon entering, and the atmosphere was casual and inviting, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. There's also plenty of parking available, making it a convenient place to grab a quick breakfast, catch up with friends, or pick up something to go. I opted for the lox bagel, with a few tweaks: I swapped out the capers for avocado, added some lemon pepper, and chose the gluten-free everything bagel instead. While I’m not sure if it's strictly Celiac-safe due to potential cross-contamination from regular bagels made in the same facility, it's great that they offer gluten-free options like the everything and plain gluten-free bagels. It’s always a good idea to ask if you have dietary concerns. One thing I really appreciated was how well the gluten-free bagel held up. It didn’t get mushy or fall apart easily, which can be a common issue with gluten-free options. The bagel was generously topped with smoked salmon, tomatoes, onions, and avocado (though keep in mind avocado is an extra charge). The portion was filling, and the flavors were well-balanced. At almost $20 for the lox bagel, I’d say this place leans toward the pricier side, but given that they make their bagels in-house and everything is fresh, it’s understandable. I also noticed they offer their own cream cheese, which adds a nice touch. Although I don’t live near the area, I do work nearby, so it’s a great option for a quick and satisfying breakfast pick-me-up. While it might not be an everyday stop due to the price, I’d definitely return to try other items on the menu. All in all, it was a solid experience and I look forward to coming back again.

First of all first impressions are everything and if you gonna make bagels, please don’t burn my bagel and try to cover it up with the sauce, but I got the pizza bagel which the sauce was amazing. Even a jalapeño bun was good but you burnt my bagel how do you burn bagels? That’s what you specialize in. .. this is very unacceptable. If you specialize in bagels and then you go and burn mine quality control is not there for me and I’m only riding this because you should do better if you specialize in one thing.

First time here, came for lunch. Had an AMAZING double bacon cheeseburger! The cashier girl suggested zucchini fries and at first, I declined because I’ve given up on zucchini fries in LA but she said they’re really good so I got them and she was right! They were perfect! No greasy or soggy, they were crispy and well-seasoned. Overall a wonderful visit and I can’t wait to come back and try that breakfast burrito.

Right by the freeway too, easy for a grab-and-go breakfast.

The food was okay. I had a breakfast omelet. The place was dirty, not kept, and none of the chairs matched. I bought a drink, tea. The dispenser was a bucket with a lid. I went to get a drink and the tea was not coming out. The worker said the tea bag was in the way and you have to move it around. First off you don't leave the tea bags in the tea when you're serving it. The place just seemed very old and not well-kept up. The only thing good was to me was the eggs was cooked with butter.

I absolutely love coming here for my coffee, and your pastries are always a treat! A nice little cafe located at Marriott's Inn at the Mission. They have some indoor seating and an outdoor patio with a fountain and views of Mission SJC across the street. The atmosphere and service were good but unfortunately the food was not that good. The Avocado Toast had so many things on it from ricotta cheese & chimichurri sauce to a giant spear of cold asparagus that it was overwhelmed and not enhanced. The San Juan burrito was not good either and the Cappuccino was not hot.

San Juan Capistrano is a beautiful city and I thought I’d take my grandmother out for a treat touring the city and taking her for a small place for brunch. There are a lot of tasty options to choose from at the café. I ended up getting the breakfast croissant, which was an excellent choice. It’s a small café with nice indoor and outdoor seating. Very festive during the time of year I went. As far as service, it’s an order at the counter, and you get served at your table. Food - 13/20 Service - 5/10 Atmosphere - 6/10 Total - 24/40 Food -

The food and presentation was good. My husband said the burrito was lacking a little flavor. I honestly felt the hollandaise sauce on my Benedict was lacking as well. It wasn't as thick as a normal hollandaise sauce would be. They messed up our order, but the manager took care of us. I'm sure they working out the kinks. Typical Del Taco. Slightly messy, no immediate availability of some cup lids, no immediate availability of some sauce packs. I tried the “Danny Trejo” Al Pastor Quesadilla. The pork pieces had good flavor, but be aware that it also has small pieces of pineapple. Just OK, won’t buy again. Good service and easy parking.

The container with all of the salsa packets down on the far right side of the main counter had a mass of leaky salsa packets that had dried and was making all the salsa packets to stick together. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. If that’s representative of their level of attention to cleanliness, then I’ll take a hard pass.

I work from home so every morning I would order from this McDonalds on DoorDash because they were open early. One morning I took a sip of the drink. Rancid spoiled milk in my latte. I immediately got sick. I knew I could possibly get a refund but I was more worried about them getting other people sick. So I tried to call over and over and no answer. I eventually drove 15 minutes away (which I didn’t know it was that far) to go in and let them know. I quietly let the staff know and they said they would tell the manager I waited and finally some young girl comes out. I warned her that the milk they’re using is spoiled and I had been sick from it. She says “…well what do you want me to do about it? Do you want a refund or something?” I said “you can start by throwing it out before getting other people sick” and she just says “okay. Do you have your receipt”. I give her the receipt and she walks away, comes back and puts cash and some change in my hand and just looks at me like she doesn’t care. After a year of ordering from them, I will never give them business again. I don’t care if you’re getting paid minimum wage, It’s human decency to care about the health of others. Don’t go here.

I like ordering ahead so they can just bring it out when I arrive. Eating inside is OK if you have young children or are a young adult. As a senior woman, I prefer to eat inside at a quieter place with full service. McDonald's food is good. There fries used to be better. Maybe a recipe change.

Used the drive thru. Not packed, just 1 car next to me. They got their order taken quick and I sat waiting for them about 5 mins.. When I first pulled up a man greeted me then radio silence. I thought it was just the greeting but I ended up speaking to the guy when paying. Finally, when a woman asked what I would like to order, I gave her my order. But I had to repeat my order 3 times because she kept mixing the quantity of the items up. Mind you, it was just a hot cake and sausage tray, 3 hash browns and 2 medium OJ. When I go to pay, the man is rude about receiving payment and verifying my order. Would not recommend this place. There's other eating places around and next time I will be going to those
Melinda G — Google review
I am writing this review in hopes that a higher up with influnece will see this review so a change can be made. I live in San Juan and frequent this Mcdonalds at least 3 times a week. My order is very simple. its a small and a large Soda water with Lemon. Yesterday August 4th 2025 in the morning between 9:30-9:40 i pulled in to get my normal order and was told that going forward I would be charged the amount of 2 sodas for carbonated water. The reason for this review is as follows - I have been coming to this location for over a year 3 times a week to order the soda water and I have never been charged. Not one time. The reaoson I am upset as the customer service i recieved for the Managment NOT the staff was terrible. I want to express I have no problem paying for the water if that is the company policy. With the cost of things it is what it is. The issue I am having is the inconsistancy on the information I am given by the Mangment not the staff. I want to make sure the Manager does not try to push this off on his staff when he is this one who dropped the ball and was extremly rude when i bought this to his attention. When i was told why was there a charge going forward they stated its per our manager. So I requested to speak with the Location Manager not the general Manager. The Location Manager would not come to the window and sent the general manager instead. All she said was my supervisor said we have to charge you. I then said again I requested to speak with him and he is not coming to the window and he finally did. The manager of the Location is "Raul" store number 2615. I have no way to verify this as he refused to give me his last name or his business card as he stated it was McDonalds Policy that they as Managers do not have to give out there work information. This employee stated he was a mangaer of multiple locations not just this one, and continued to deny me any information so I could file a complaint and CC him. The reason why i am angry with the lack of respect is he told me it has always been the store's policy to charge for carbonated water. I said sir how is that the case when you your self have served me Carbonated water on different times I have been here if I came into the cafe. He stated well if its a one or two time thing its not an Issue. I said sir that is a lie as I have already expressed to you I come multiple times a week. He stated well I was unaware of that. I said Sir no you are not as one I just told you how often i come and two you have served me this exact order. He then stated well I had informed the staff before hand that you should be charged. I then asked how is that possible when you just told me as of today I will be charged? So it sounds like you are lying and I caught you in this lie. If you communictaed to the staff months ago to charge me and I am be very open in telling you i come 3 times a week why have I not been charged if you are claiming its company policy? I then stated is this your pollicy or the policy of Mcdonalds, and also if you have already instructed your staff multiple times over these months I should have been charged everytime I come so witch is it? I also mentioned I doubt his staff would go directly against his directive so that lead me to believe you have never adressed this too them. I know that these locations are locally owend. Thats is fine. My issue is you have someone in managment that is a not a good leader as I caught him in a lie over 3 times in our conversation. I will pay for the soda water going forward but if the policy is you have to pay then I need to be charged every time and not told if we thought it was a one or two time thing than its fine. That shows no respect for the rules in place and gives the location to operate at their own discression rather then upholding actual policy Please also inform Raul he needs to be humble when it is brought to his attention he is not being truthful in conversation especially when its proved and not blame his staff for something HE did not do.

Great place to eat We got 12 pieces of chicken nuggets they were so good. The fries were salty and perfectly cooked. We liked that this time they packed in a bag napkins and sauces apart.

Loved the spicy chicken deluxe and waffle fries from Chick-fil-A. Went through the drive thru and it was fast and convenient. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Remember to order chick-fil-a sauce if you enjoy delicious flavors. Recommend!

Joseph and Jeffrey Are the best! I have celiac and they were so nice and made sure that my order was right and safe for me to eat. Could not ask for more

So I learned something new today. I ordered a pick up and thought that it still had my home base as SC so I went ahead and ordered. when I got to the SC location they hey told me my order was for San Juan… so you’re telling me I have to drive all the way back there and they said yes. They were no help at all. My mistake, them zero help. So my luck, I drove back to San Juan. I could not have asked for two more outstanding employees to help me with my mistake. I had explained to them what had happened, and they felt so bad and knew my order had been sitting there for some time that she offered to make a fresh order for me. Truly so much kindness exuded from the both of them . Zulema & deyvi , you’re gold! And your kindness is authentic… not something that’s continuously rehearsed. As most people know, this is not an ordinary location. It’s better ! Thank you San Quan for going above and beyond. SC can learn from you.

TRAIN YOUR KITCHEN EMPLOYEES BETTER. I have no issues with the person that took my order as he reread the order correctly. This is the SECOND time I’ve order from this place and the order is just straight up incomplete or wrong. BOTH TIMES my grilled chicken club came with no cheese or bacon. Please refer to the picture from your website if you guys have any issues on what the grilled clubbed is is suppose to have. NEVER come here worst Chick-fil-A ever.

So I grabbed 3 kid strip meals as a quick alternative for dinner and I was pleased with the portion of food provided and our fries were just made! Re: customer service-The reps there are totally representative of that saying "customer service w a smile! Thx for a pleasantly yummy experience each time!

There is no inside seating here. Luckily, we were there on a nice summer day. But even at that, it was breezy and we had to fight to keep our bags and paper goods from blowing away.
Annette T — Google review
I had a great experience at this location. Nick, the director of operations, is super nice, and the owner, Chris, is awesome! It's a beautiful location just across the street from the famous Mission of San Juan Capistrano. You've got to check out the Los Rios District; you might even see the sheriffs on horseback riding around town. The food was great, as always. 😋

The team is this 🌮 Taco Bill is very welcoming. They are really positive and make everyone happy. The new Beefy Crunch Burrito is delicious. Visit this evening after 4 years of my first visit. The place is as good as it was. Condiments are for customer to take as many as they need. The only comment is that they need to read orders well 😘 (Pictures from past and latter visits

I've shrinkflation but this is ridiculous. Ordered 3 Taco Supreme meal. Barely a few strands of cheese, just a hint of meat at the bottom. Basically just taco shell and lettuce. Seriously???

This is a good Taco Bell location. Seems to be fairly new, dining area is clean, easy to find parking. Typical Taco Bell fare, no issues there. I found that I really like the “Breakfast Salsa”, good flavor with little bite. My only complaint is that I asked for a drink carrier and told they didn’t have any. It can be difficult to carry multiple drinks.

Decent food and service for a quick bite along this busy area.

Well-run location of the national chain. Dining room and restroom were clean. Employees are friendly and engaging. Food arrived quickly and properly prepared.

Clean dining area. Speedy and friendly service. The tacos and burritos are filled to the brim and are very tasty.

Upon entering the establishment to place my order, I subsequently exited to retrieve my water jug for ice due to the warm weather conditions. However, the cashier deactivated the beverage fountain dispenser as I was filling my jug, creating a significant inconvenience. This prevented me from obtaining ice despite having already made a purchase.

This is a good Taco Bell however they still have nacho fries advertising and then when you order they say that they are discontinued.

Bagel Bistro is a delightful gem that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike over the past few years. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, you’re greeted by friendly staff who make every visit feel special. Their bagels are nothing short of exceptional, with a variety of options to choose from. The Sun Dried Supreme on an Everything Bagel topped with ham and avocado is a must-try for those looking to indulge in something unique.
Absolutely loved my visit to Bagel Bistro! The lavender latte was perfectly balanced—smooth and fragrant. Paired it with their avocado bagel, and it was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. Can’t wait to come back❤️

We have been coming here for years. The biggest, fluffiest bagels! Recently the owners hired a bunch of young ladies, and my little girls are obsessed with them. They are SO kind, they make our day every time! If I could rate more than 5 stars on food and customer service, I would. We won’t go anywhere else!

This review is so long overdue I have been coming here for the past 3 years and every time I come in it's nothing but exceptional. The owners & staff are always so nice and welcoming. They always acknowledge you upon entry. I have gotten bagels with cream cheese just the basics but I also try there specialty bagels as well. My go to is their Sun Dried Supreme on an Everything Bagel and I add Ham & Avocado. I also replace there egg whites with their plant based egg substitute "just egg" brand egg. I have a mild allergy to eggs so I'm so grateful they have alternatives. You just have to ask. The ambiance is great if you wanna come for a lil coffee date or even to study for a bit this place is great. I like how there always so tidy even there restroom is always clean. They also make smoothies and specialty coffee. When ever I have ordered a smoothie I get it with almond milk.

Cashier took my coupon for a free soda but then I double checked receipt and he charged me for it anyway! Bagels are good though.
Paul R — Google review
Decent bagel shop! We were in the area for other reasons but wanted some lunch. We got the Italian sandwich on an asiago bagel, the BLAT on a garlic parmesan bagel, and a cheese pizza on a plain bagel. I wouldn't bother with the pizza bagels: plain tomato paste as the sauce. Our daughter liked it, but it's not quite worth the price. BLAT and Italian sandwiches were fantastic.
Lianne P — Google review
They have the best bagel breakfast sandwiches in town. My kids and I love the The Works, on a sesame bagel is my jam. The service is also consistently excellent. The owners and their crew are super friendly and always get our somewhat complicated order right.
Pete K — Google review
If you are going to be closed you need to update Google so your customers know. Ridiculous to put a sign in the window and think that’s ok when people may be getting up early and relying on your food and timing for breakfast. Bagels are good for west coast. Service is great when open.
Scott S — Google review
I ordered the poppy bagel with Sun Dried tomato spread and it was literally pizza sauce. Gross. The lady behind the counter was trying to avoid customers. Peerless coffee is generally good, not great, but they even managed to screw that up with grounds in my cup. The poppy bagel itself was ok.
