We stayed here for a quick snack while waiting for the sunset. The price of juice is a bit pricey and we just had some French fries. The ambiance is okay, same as the others though more comfy in terms of seat. They offer free wifi too. I think this was intended for night bar type so if you are into cafe liked then find another place though the aesthetics here is great!

Great place, nice atmosphere, but it's really ruined by false advertising. If you advertise for two eggs then why do I get one? The manager said "Many customers prefer just one". Really?! I don't believe that customers would prefer less value. It's okay to admit a mistake was made and there will be some way of making it up to the customer, but lying is not a good look.

Well actually in craving for a ShiSha and I found this place have it but the shisha it’s very normal and even hard to smoke it, I almost use all my 70% energy to smoke it 😶 Atmosphere is good if you come on evening , facing the sea it’s look really nice I guess. The drink I called “Ice Frozen” the taste is really nice, this I must give 5 stars, it’s a little bit sour and sweet, I think girls must like it 😆 and the food plate it just nice, many kind of different snacks inside. Found this little gem on a suggested list of "not to be missed" places. It did not disappoint. After a windy, interesting and quite steep hill (for VT 😅) I wad delighted when walking into this property. The ladies are super helpful, not so sure of their menu in English but they quickly got someone who could translate for me. Outside staff also helpful and quickly assisted when it started to rain lightly and brought in the bits I had on the table. The views are a little obstructed by the leaves, tree's, they could do with a cut back , so the view would be more open, however it's lovely and relaxing enough to get a good feel. If you're looking to step in further into a peaceful and slow paced gem, put this onto your itinerary. 🙌🏻💛🇻🇳

A very popular cafe with a very stylish and relaxing atmosphere overlooking the front beach. The structure inside the cafe was very novel. We used a private room for our meeting. They sell products that can be used as tasteful souvenirs.

Very friendly staff and happy to great me at the door as I walked in to Soho coffee shop, the cashier who I think her name was (Giang or Gaing) was very friendly and helpful with what drink I should get because I had hard time trying to pick out a drink that would fit my taste buds, it was pretty bizzy at 7pm to about 9pm at the time I was there, I had the Mango Oolong tea for my first drink, it was so good I had to try another drink at Soho so I got the Straberry Oolong tea and the waiter was all smiles when I got the drink (Vy) was her name for the second drink and the first waiter for the mango tea name was (Nghi) also friendly and helpful. After I had finished my drinks (Kim) the Supervisor asked me if everything was OK and I said everything was perfect had a great experience here and I would be come back tomorrow, I highly recommend this place if you here the chance when your here in VungTau = )♡♡♡♡♡♡

Nice coffee shop up the hill. It has like 4 floors with different views. Lots of places to sit with unique decor all over, each room is decorated quite different. There is a huge seaview. Their prices are not bad, typical prices you would see in any other coffee shop. You can take loads of photos here too.

But note that it is toward the west so it gets a bit hot in the afternoon if you are not staying in their air-con room. I think it will be better to visit here in the moring with sea breeze or around the sunset time.

It's such a cozy place to hang out. The view was awesome. It has down-stair and has a better view than the up-stair. The price is quite high, but for me I think it's good cause we had so many good photos there. They have limited foods and drinks. Recommend you guys to try if you want to take photos.

If you’re looking for a cafe to have some drinks with a nice beach view and take some tropical theme photos then this is a good option. Every corner is beautifully decorated and the beach provides some nice background and breezy atmosphere (since there’s no fans here). But it comes at a price, as the drinks here are certainly on the higher ends. I personally think the coffee drinks are better than the teas after trying both, but the options here are quite diverse so you’ll probably find one that suits you. And every person has to order a drink 🍹 But its a nice place to spend some time relaxing 👌✨

The coffee shop is nicely decorated and right on the sea. However, the price is expensive for what you get. For 79k the coconut coffee is not blended and small. Fruit teas come in a larger cup but still 79k. There is no table service for this price and the drinks come in paper cups with plastic lids even if you are staying at the restaurant.

They have a good amount of books in English if you wish to go there to read. The pizza is just frozen pizza they heat up in an oven and is a bit overpriced. A great place to stop by for a coffee at hill side of Vung Tau, you will pass by here while on the way to the light house. Coffee was strong, but with good view and strong wind.

I've been here twice and both times were subpar. Staff was young and unattentive, floors were dirty with cigarettes and various other things, and the coffee was not enough / too expensive for the overall experience. Other coffee shops on the hill are more deserving of your business.

We went here for snack during sunset time. The staff were very accommodating and attentive to our needs. We tried different drinks and cake. The cake was not so sweet as expected for Vietnamese taste but the texture was the common chiffon type. I ordered blueberry but I think it is not the fresh type shake. It was okay but not reach my expectation for its price. The view was very nice and you can talk with your friends or family since there is less noise. They won’t limit your stay as long as you ordered. They have service charge since when you need some cold tea. , they will refill for you.

The place is decent, but all the furniture is old and in poor condition, which doesn’t look good. Also, the drink prices are heavily overpriced. A regular coffee costs 90,000 VND, and even the simplest Dilmah tea bag is 65,000 VND. That’s way too expensive for this place.

I don't eat seafood, hence I only had a carbonara in this seafood restaurant, haha. It wasn't salty enough for me but they brought me a salt shaker upon my request. Everything else is fine. I came here after dark, but the table they gave me was a perfect spot for viewing the sunset, so time your visit well.

Had lunch here. The seats with rope bases are very uncomfortable. The hamburger was overcooked. The bun wasn't fresh. The French fries were mediocre. The in-house resto for one of Vung Tau's best hotels.  Open also to walk-in customers. Located in one of the city's beachside cliffs.   A short 15 minute walk to the famous Back Beach. Food choices are very decent.  Breakfast buffet is available. PRO TIP:  Great place to have a late afternoon cocktail - where you can view the spectacular sunset.

This is another quiet gem of a place in the middle of Vung Tau City eating hub. I am always on the lookout for clean modern quiet Cafe where I can have a quiet conversation with friends. This place fits the bill perfectly. I have only ever had drinks here with friends but the food looks good and very reasonably priced.

Letto🍷3 Sweet Love in Itali I picked up a cup of houjito latte here. How they make drinks look really right and taste so good, kinda romantic atmosphere with a lovely music layer. A perfect water/tea ratio to make it so much better. Letto wasn’t just a coffee corner but like a slightly r rhythm a bar. The feeling's kinda telling us a story in Italy, a story of two souls, finding home in each other, but far from home. Some nights don’t fade, some feelings don’t end and some places, like Letto, stay in your heart forever. 🍸

Their machiato is good but I dont like the cheese cake, a bit too much of gelatin than cheese.

I really like small shops such as this, it makes for a really cozy vibe. The owner was knowledgeable in coffee and very efficient in his moves, always taking care of tiny details for customers. I asked for a straw and he asked "Hot?" since I was pointing at a hot cocoa drink. Such attention to detail makes you really appreciate his service. Coffee selection wasn't crazy but his hand drip V60 Panama was very good too. Overall I'd come back for sure.

The drinks at the rooftop bar are really nice and they have live music some nights. The penthouse room is a great way to have 3 separate rooms but feel as if you're in the same home. The staff was helpful in finding us taxis and transportation back to Ho Chi Minh City. There is a pool table and a few other games in the lobby. The included breakfast buffet was pretty bad but other than that this place is great.

The complimentary bread basket was such a nice surprise — crusty on the outside, soft inside, and perfect with the dips. Loved it! The crab pasta and seafood rice came out beautifully plated and pretty quick too. Flavor-wise, they weren’t mind-blowing (a bit on the dry side and not quite my usual style), but still tasty enough to fill me up. Overall: not “wow amazing,” but satisfying, hearty, and worth a try if you’re staying at Fusion. 👌

Superb location, 1960s style hotel on Vung Tau back beach close to a plethora of beach bars and seafood restaurants. The rooms are spacious and some have generous balconies overlooking the bay and sea beyond. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide range on offer and a small area where eggs can be cooked in any style. Highly recommend as a comfortable base whilst visiting Vung Tau.

Great experience here during the stay. Money well spent even though the rates are high compared to many other hotels. Staff are very efficient and caring. All other services and the room, atmosphere is great. I am very satisfied during my stay at the Deluxe Suite, spacious room, spacious bathroon with the bath tub. 1 minus point is that the bath tub didn't have hot water. The remaining was fine. Rooftop pool and bar is also a must-try when visiting here. The room didn't have noise canceling/ isolate noise from outside. I could hear all traffic noises down the road. This was a bit annoying at night.

The wooden style gives a wonderful ambiance and you can still smell the wood, watch the waves as they crash the shore. It’s a vast space with so much seats all the way down. The only set back is that the drinks they offer are not good. It’s like those cheap milk tea side street drinks for teenagers. It only suits the Vietnam taste I guess who only comes to buy and take photos. I hope they’d offer a good menu in time. If well-managed, this could be one of the best spots in Vung Tau.

Positioned on Nguyen Thai Hoc street, opposite Huu Nghi restaurant, the coffee shop is a kind of modern style with air-con inside and couple of tables and seats outdoor. You can go directly to the frontdesk for order of drink or wait for staff offering, a bit late though. Machine coffee, soft drink, juices ... everything you can get here with reasonable price. For me, I'd prefer white machine coffee, sometime lemon juice with a leaf of mint on top.

Impressed by its vintage decor, my wife and I frequented the establishment several times. Despite its limited space, the owner had meticulously arranged and displayed antiquated items such as desk phones, sewing machines, and clocks. While the coffee and pre-war music (before 1975 of South Vietnam) provided a pleasant ambiance, I found the drinks to lack any distinct specialties. However, the prices were somewhat elevated. Upon relocating to the alley of Binh Gia, we brought our child along. The owner advised us to seek an alternative establishment due to the limited space, despite the shop being relatively empty, with only one or two tables occupied. When we persisted, he explicitly stated that children were not welcome, although his implication was unclear. He attempted to clarify his stance by suggesting that we understand his decision. Since that incident, we have refrained from visiting this coffee shop.

We found this place by accident when we walked along a beautiful shady Bacu Road in Vung Tau City. Never try any COFFEE HOUSE anywhere before. Just had lunch at the View Cafe. Fantastic atmosphere and mesmerising view over the harbour. The staff was welcoming,friendly and attentive. As for the food, there's no mistaking: this is a gastronomic spot!!! The presentation is appealing and the flavours well balanced in this Vietnamese/International fusion kitchen. We had a choice of Belgian, Chinese, Singaporean and Vietnamese beers as well as cocktails. Thank you for a very relaxing time. We will definitely come back.

Good atmosphere but mainly the tourists. Food generally pretty good with big variety but size can be quite large to try more than a few dishes. Though on my visit, they have an extra dish on my bill. When notes a correct bill was given, a little too quickly. So ensure you check thoroughly.

while i do agree it’s a tourist trap, the spring rolls platter was fabulous. centrally located, and yes there’s that stair climb. we had lunch so we reckon it’s nicer at night but the spring rolls was such a great welcome to saigon

We were looking for place for a light meal before going to water puppet show and had this restaurant on the way from our hotel on the list. The restaurant located on the 6th floor of sort of a residential looking apartment building. There is a restaurant name sign in front of the building. But first you have to walk into sort of an apartment courtyard with many motorcycles packed walkway. The view on the top was very nice. It's mostly open outdoor restaurant with a moveable roof for sun and rain. Lovely bit of garden in the middle of the place. We had 3 dishes to share between the 3 of us, squid herbs salad, grilled fish with garden salad, and steam lemongrass clams. We also had 2 desserts to finish off the meal, some coconut mix beans with green chewie and a longan mix dried fruits sweet. The food was okay and the place is very relaxing. However there were not really anything I can called service, as it was hard to even find the staff to order food with.

This place is really secret! All of the staff is really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located on the top of the building, so you have to go up stairs but it’s worth! All of dishes are delicious!

Went here two nights ago and have to say it’s one of the best places we’ve found. All the flights of stairs were most definitely worth it. We arrived and got seated in a waiting area as we didn’t have a reservation. It was no more than 2 minutes that we had to wait to be seated at a table. Ordered and the food was fantastic. Me and my friend who went were trying to eat on a budget and we found the cheaper items to be on the leg pages. Less fancy but still very good. Great portion great taste, great flavours. The atmosphere was the best part in my opinion, perched on a roof top overlooking the tops of some of the Saigon buildings. We went on a Friday night and it was bustling…but not overpoweringly loud. Overall great experience, would highly recommend if your around the area.

Definitely the place where to have nice food and where to work at a laptop. They're built for that, there are plugs everywhere and the wifi is strong. The staff will not bother you, but it's good habit to order something every hour at least, and tip the staff appropriately. The food is good, big, and vote expensive. Good quality place.

Their coffee is excellent, and although the food menu is quite limited, everything I’ve tried has been tasty. The only downsides for me are that the entrance is a bit hidden—you have to go up a flight of stairs to find it—and it can get really crowded and noisy during busy hours. Also, I personally find the chairs quite uncomfortable, which makes it hard to sit for long.

One of the most recommended specialty coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh called @theworkshopcoffee, established since 2014 and located in the bustling Bến Nghé area. Located on the second floor of an old 1912 building, the classic vintage ambience feels very strong because many architectural elements are very well maintained. High ceilings with many window openings from various directions create good natural lighting, causing a warm, comfy and welcoming space. Various coffee menus are served here and the ones I recommend most are classic coffee and manual brew with various of the best coffee beans from various origins.

It's a quite hidden kind of cafe if you don't really notice the signboard. It's kinda cute though. The variety of coffee served here are really special and are so good. Tried their nutty cremina and salted iced coffee, and I can say the salted iced coffee is a must try! Panna cotta gives off a very balanced taste and it's really good.

Nice café with a good view and fine for a quick stop, but the drinks were disappointing. I asked for Vietnamese coffee for my latte, and they didn’t have it, which was surprising. The baristas also weren’t flexible with adjusting the sweetness or replacing the sweet milk with fresh milk. The service was okay, but the overall experience was average at best.

came here to complete some work. i think the chair is a bit painful to sit in for a long time. it was a bit difficult to find the cafe since it is through a small corridor and up the stairs but it really feels like a hidden gem. a friendly local street vendor had to help us and point us to the cafe to find it. plenty of electrical plugs available and the staff with provide you a multi plug if you need it! it is just the right temperature but gets really really noisy when it starts raining 😭 i enjoyed the food! the service is perfect for introverts. not much smiles and attention but they will help you immediately if you asked for it!

Lots of alcoves for seating areas and options at a number of different levels. Though a heads-up if you want to seat in an air conditioned room (it’s very noisy + lots of families with children) as opposed to sitting in the open air as close to a fan as possible. Waterfalls, trees in bloom, trees growing through the roof, flowers, lights - lots of photo opportunities.

If you’re looking for a beautiful space to unwind and enjoy a peaceful moment, Du Mien Garden is worth the visit. Just don’t expect the food to blow you away… the environment is where this place really shines!

I visited Du Mien Garden Cafe on the weekend and was very impressed with the spacious, airy space, lots of trees and waterfalls creating a relaxing feeling, friendly and polite staff The shop has many different seating areas, from outdoors to air-conditioned rooms, suitable for all needs - working, meeting friends or dating. Diverse drinks, delicious mixes, quick and polite service staff. Overall, this is one of the most beautiful garden cafes in Saigon!

A lush garden built around flowing water features and towering old trees, with bridges, pathways, and a stunning treehouse that feels like something out of a movie. The menu offers both quality food and a wide range of delicious drinks, all well presented and full of flavour. It’s the perfect place to relax on a sunny day or even when there’s a light rain, as the setting becomes even more atmospheric. Our visit was interrupted by a massive and torrential downpour, but the staff handled it, helping guests stay comfortable and dry. Despite the weather, it remained a great experience. One that I'll definitely repeat.

I used the restaurant for after-dinner coffee. There were many customers in the restaurant, mainly groups of young women. Small children were running around the restaurant, screaming loudly. None of the customers minded. The coffee here is reasonably priced and consistently tastes good no matter what you drink.

As usual a very good coffee and drink, the cakes are also very tasty (but a little small ^^). Music light and design are perfect make this coffee a warm and cosy place to look the sun go down. The only thing we miss is a member card to enjoy discount or promotion.

This is the second Highland I know in Vung Tau, it brings a completely different experience with the first one in Nguyen Thai Hoc street. Solemn decoration with red & black, view of beautiful chủch thru the glasses. Good drink, maybe expresso everywhere is similar. Music is international, good point.

Nice place and coffee. Very good service but... Value for money is bad. In Vietnam, a coffee of this size usually costs about 20-25k VND and you get green tea for free. Here for 45k VND I got not big coffee with lot of ice (more ice than coffee) and no green tea. I recommend looking for another place, because there are more nice places in Vietnam with good coffee at a price twice less. Placed on the fifth floor in a small alley, the restaurant looks cozy with interesting decoration. The food tastes really good, mostly VN traditional dishes. We booked and ordered food in advance that they served very fast. Highly recommend this one. Reasonable price.

Mountain Retreat is on the top (5th?) floor of what feel like a very long walk up staircases! After “hiking” up the staircase, you are rewarded with great views and delicious Vietnamese food. Everything we ordered was delicious. They have an an outdoor section and an inside section that is basically outside but covered. Note sure if they have AC but the “indoor” section felt cool. I would definitely return to try other dishes here!

My wife and I shared those 4 dishes and were satisfied. The egg dish was overly salty and the chicken wing sauté had some bone fragments due to the style of portioning chicken in Asia. The view is nice but will be much better when they finish the construction in the street. The staff is attentive and handled our group of about 24 well with other customers in the restaurant. Food comes out Asian style(in pieces when it’s ready). It was a warm day and they managed to keep everything cool even with the open air concept. The roof top would be a great place for a group after dark.

Good place to enjoy Vietnamese Homecooked food with great view of the city. The restaurant is not as packed and crowded compared to the likes of Secret Garden & Den Long. Taste wise, the they are pretty much the same. It is recommended to make reservations before you come. I went on Tuesday, walk in and lucky to have a table for the 5 of us. The location is pretty hard to spot, hidden in an alley beside the Mini Stop convenience store. Walk straight and the entrance to the rooftop is on the right. You will have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the rooftop on the 6th? floor.

It was a long climb up, but the food was worth it! Had the prawns,a soup, spring rolls and the deep fried bacon.. one of our most satisfying meals in HCMC!

The restaurant is at the top floor of an old building. There is no lift so climbing could be tough for elder people. The food is good and cheap. No air conditioner so could be hot sometimes. Didn’t see any local customer during my visit so not sure if the tastes is original or not. But the tastes is good for tourist like us.

Loved it! The menu had a huge variety which made it very hard to make a choice. Once our minds were made up the food was absolutely delicious. We have eaten at many places throughout Vietnam and this was definitely a highlight. Recommend making a booking prior to arriving as the tables can book out The entry is down an alley way, though was easily found with the guided help of a woman sitting at the entry to the alley who works for the restaurant. Then it's up 5 flights of stairs. The view and ambience is great and the service enjoyable. We will be back for more before we leave Vietnam. Maybe next time we will remember to take photos of the food instead of being so eager to get stuck in.

The service is nice, the staff is friendly. This time I ordered Farmer board through delivery, it was about 20$ with 4 types of cold cuts, cheese and nuts. The best cold cuts I've ever had! It goes well with wine for a relaxing dinner.

Food is always fantastic! Service is also very good. However, be careful if you sit outside - you get forgotten about and then there is suddenly no service anymore! This has happened a few times now. We would have stayed another hour and enjoyed desserts and drinks….but ended up leaving.

Update January 2024: I've frequented Ola Ola since its opening, and I can vouch for the restaurant's quality and consistency. Whether it's morning coffee, afternoon charcuterie, or a romantic dinner, this place is a must-visit in Vungtau. The special occasion set dinners and afternoon dining are exceptional, possibly offering the best food in this region, surpassing even the five-star hotels. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed. We loved Ly’s cafe. We live in Saigon and rarely have any form of English breakfast, so being able to have a really good breakfast was so nice! The coffee was also really good. We stayed in Vung Tau for two days and came to this cafe both days. Definitely recommend.

Came here for breakfast and it was delicious! Didn’t take a photo of everything but we got 2 bacon and eggs, fruit bowl and yogurt and a side of chips. The chips were proper home made and tasty! Will definitely come back!

A nice cozy place for coffee. Price is fair too. Nice place to chill and relax at night after a tiring afternoon. We tried chocolate mousse cake and tea cake, both are a bit sweet but match with the bitter taste of the coffee. Recommended place for dating and relaxing time.

Every time I come back to Vung Tau City, I always try to stop by this place and sip my hot Americano coffee. I like the taste. Today the first days of the year, the Coffee shops is quite crowded (most of them are Travelers from other places) so the service is quite slow.
