Front Beach in Vung Tau is a lively and bustling area with a compact stretch of sandy shoreline, boats dotting the waters, and a popular adjacent park and boardwalk. It offers a mix of natural beauty with mountains and rivers, as well as the activity of fishing boats docking after their day's work. The park area along the beach features shady rows of coconut trees where visitors can relax, connect with nature, and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze.
This is not a great beach because this area is a parking area for local fisherman ships, but it’s still a great spot to take a walk and chill.

Unique place in Vung Tau on the water. Beach is very nice but super small as far as beach going. However, would recommend to stop by and enjoy it as waters are calm and there is large swimming area to enjoy. Beach is connected with a park with lots benches , pretty close to food establishments, and there are showers available as well. Very nice place which gets busy in the afternoons with locals enjoying it and the water.

Nice to walk during night time. Peacefull & full of sea atmosphere.

A quite nice beach that people can swim and have a walk along the hall. But keep the beach tidy and clean especially the plastic rubbish.
Thuha N — Google review
Nice for strolling around and catch the sunset.

Front Beach is one of my favourite spots on Vung Tau Island. The French had a more romantic name for this idyllic small beach, Coconut Bay. Early mornings are special. Take your camera. The small fishing boats have returned from the night's fishing, and you will see the wives and family helping load the night's catch onto motorcycles, to rush them to the morning fish markets. Take plenty of photos, but do not get in the way. Evenings on the beach are more relaxed and Front Beach becomes the typical tropical beach. Fishermen slowly prepare for another night at sea. Once the sun has set, and most people have left, you might be lucky enough to watch the owl couple hunt on the waterline.
Paul R — Google review
Nice area with a quaint beach and green, clean park. Front Beach was significantly cleaner than Back Beach when I visited on February 10, 2024. If you also want to get away from the worst of the wind and waves, Front Beach sits back enough in a cove to not be nearly as affected as Back Beach is in those conditions. Very small sandy area at high tide but still several families out and enjoying it. The park around Front Beach is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for picnics.
Anna R — Google review
nothing much to do except sit there and look at the water, when i went it sea looked dirty and there is no sand, only rock. only some tree 🌳 and the ledge to sit. i see many people there at night but at night it is also so dark that i cant see anything 😁 if you want beach go south to valley beach, its good 🏖️

Hồ Cốc is a stunning white-sand beach in Vung Tau, offering a range of resort hotels, restaurants, and even a campground. It's known for its pristine natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for outdoor activities, camping on the beach, or exploring the nearby forest. Mostly untouched area. One can definjt enjoy some quiet time here. There are some camp spots as well. We have been walking along the shoreline for 30 minutes and there was a constant stretch of plastic rubbish. Disgusting!

We went on our school trip to this place. It was very fun to stay here. The food was delicious. The beaches were beautiful and the sunset was great. At night, you can see many stars in the sky and I even spotted 2 planes flying with lights on. The hotel rooms were kinda clean and I had a good sleep. Will return to this place again if possible!

The White Palace Historical Cultural Relic stands as a testament to Vietnam's rich heritage, showcasing the grandeur of the royal era with its original furnishings and decor. This remarkable site is not only a glimpse into the past but also houses war relics, including arsenals and cannons that tell stories of resilience during tumultuous times. Surrounded by stunning landscapes filled with lush greenery, this palace offers visitors an enchanting experience while immersing them in significant chapters of Vietnamese history.
The Palace of the Kings of Vietnam, intact with original furnishings and decor. Has war relics of arsenals and cannons fired during the war years. A beautiful scenery with lush topography and vegetation. Built by the French. A lot of Vietnamese history lie here.
Jonathan O — Google review
The White Palace (Bach Dinh) in Vung Tau is a historic mansion built in 1898 during the French colonial period. It served as a summer retreat for French Governor General Paul Doumer. The elegant structure, designed in French neoclassical style, overlooks the sea from Nui Lon (Big Mountain). Over the years, it has also been used to detain notable political prisoners. Today, the palace is a cultural relic, displaying historical artifacts and offering stunning views of the coastline. A minimal entry ticket is required, and there’s no need for advance booking. The site is generally less crowded, making it a peaceful spot to explore and enjoy the historical ambiance.
Laiju L — Google review
Absolutely worth visiting! The palace itself is a beautiful architectural work and you can also admire the sea and natural setting while strolling around the garden. Just keep in mind that they have a lunch break from 11:30-13:30, when the palace and the garden are closed.
Alexandra A — Google review
The palace served as a resort for Emperor Bao Đai, past presidents of the Republic of Vietnam, and the Governor of Indochina. It now is a national historical and cultural relic. From the top floor there are beautiful views of the water. Built by the French, the exterior is of European design while the inside has both Western and eastern styles.

Visited on 20 August afternoon as part of my Vung Tau tour. Spent around 30 minutes at the location. Great to learn about the holiday location of the previous king. There are 2 levels and basement. There are a lot of local and international visitors when I visited.

15,000 VND admission and a walk up the winding road to the old Villa Blanche. Interesting enough although the maintenance is a little indifferent. Open 7.30am to 5 pm weekends and holidays but only 7.30am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 5 pm on weekdays - signs in Vietnamese only. Cuts short the opportunity to view the displays if you only arrive at 10.30am

Perched on Mount Nhỏ, the Jesus Christ Statue in Vung Tau is a towering 32-meter structure, making it the largest of its kind in Asia. Visitors can reach the statue by climbing 800 steps or taking a motorbike taxi. The statue offers stunning panoramic views of Vung Tau's beaches and is often included in city tours.
The Statue stands on the top of a hill - a climb of 850 stairs from the base to the top. The views of the ocean and the Vung Tau city are worth every ounce of energy you will spend climbing those stairs. There are a couple of shops selling food and drinks at the start of the climb and no commercial establishments beyond that. Many viewing and resting points along the way with ample seating space (and shade - for those tropical sunny days). The statue is quite larger up close than it looks from the bottom of the hill. Behind the statue, there's a little praying area (or just sitting in peace and quiet after the climb). There are a couple of long barrelled iron cannons - probably sitting there for a century.
Aditya T — Google review
🌟 Christ the King Statue - Vũng Tàu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An iconic spiritual and scenic landmark! The climb to the top is worth every step — around 800 stairs, but shaded by trees and with rest stops along the way. Once you reach the statue, you're rewarded with incredible panoramic views of the ocean and the city below. The statue itself is majestic, standing 32 meters tall, with arms outstretched. If you're appropriately dressed (long pants and covered shoulders), you can go inside the statue and climb a narrow spiral staircase up to the arms — a unique experience with unforgettable photo ops. 💡 Tips: Dress modestly to enter the statue. Bring water for the hike. Best to go early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat. Free entry, but donations welcome. A must-visit in Vũng Tàu whether you're spiritual or just love nature, views, and history.
Shanky B — Google review
Sort of a replica of the one in Rio. Been there as well few years back. So I must say that this is a good replica, actually. Nice climb through the stairs. Good exercise, if you love activity tourism. On a hot day though, it'll make you sweaty. So be prepared. I went on breezy day, with great weather. Great views along the climb and from the base level of the statue. The strong wind enhanced the views with more waves in the ocean and more wavering trees. You can go to the top of the statue for a 360° view as well. But that you are not allowed, if you're wearing shorts. Clean washrooms. No tickets required. Not for the elderly, small children and people who can't climb stairs.
Avilash G — Google review
Visited on 20 August late morning as part of my Vung Tau tour. Took around 800 steps to climb up to see the Jesus Christ Statue. Great workout, spent around 20 minutes to climb up. It is very narrow to climb up the shoulders of the statue, might be tough for those who are a bit bigger size. Need to take off your shoes before climbing up, they will give you a locker to keep your shoes.
Vincent T — Google review
Wow…I was honestly expecting a small statue, but this is a towering colossus on top of the mountain! It’s definitely worth making the trip for this. Not only is it quite a sight to behold, but you can also go inside of the monument and climb a staircase all the way to the top for arguably the best view of Vung Tau. There are a fair bit of stairs up to the monument and then also inside of it, but anyone in decent physical shape should be fine. One quick note: Google maps doesn’t recognize the staircase as a legitimate route. As such, if you try to get walking directions to here, the only route it presents to you is to hike the mountain that the monuments sits atop, approaching from the rear and snaking your way slowly up the mountain. That path is fine, but be aware that if you start at the official Jesus Christ Statue Entrance (easily found on Google maps), you can just take a series of staircases directly up to the monument. Additional note in case you do take the mountain (maybe more of a hill) hiking path like I did : for some reason, after you reach the top, they have the path blocked by several signs saying that they are doing construction work and you cannot go further. I was a bit disheartened, but since there’s no actual fence blocking the sides, I slipped through to see if the construction warning was legitimate. As soon as I went around the sign, I was at the main staircase leading up to the Jesus Christ Statue, with many tourists all around coming from the official entrance. Meaning that the sign is completely false…they tell you not to go beyond, but immediately past the sign is a public area allowed to be accessed by everyone 😂 I feel like they may have done construction many years ago and just forgot to remove the signs. Either way, I’ve included and image of them below for all of those accessing via the mountain: just go around the left side and you will be fine.
Michael M — Google review
Beware!! Cover your shoulders and knees before entering or else they make you pay for a whole new outfit. You don’t have to pay for entry. Bring a hat. There are shops to buy drinks, ice cream and souvenirs. The top was worth the climb of 1,000 stairs in 35 degree heat.
Katrina K — Google review
Beware of your money when buying stuff at the entrance as they might take advantage of your "lack of knowledge" sort to say of the currency especially if it’s your first time visiting Vietnam. Despite that being very sad especially for a holy place, the statue of Jesus Christ in Ba Ris is an amazing sacred place to visit when in the city. Free entrance but I would recommend donating as it supports the community and the maintenance of the place. Lovely views and sights. I suggest coming on a bright and sunny day and have a hat and fan with you instead of buying it high price at the shops. No umbrellas allowed and must wear respectable and modest clothes (no shorts or other clothing above the knee) as it is a sacred place after all.
Martin — Google review
Did you know that there is a Jesus Christ statue known as Christ of Vung Tau in Vung Tau City, Vietnam? It does resemble Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with Jesus’ outstretched arms, welcoming anyone who seeks Him. To be honest, we did not know about Christ of Vung Tau until we decided to make the 2 hours journey south of Ho Chi Minh City to visit this beach destination. We were glad that we visited Christ of Vung Tau this time and here’s our review of this visit. Christ of Vung Tau is actually built by the Vietnamese Catholic Church is it stands at 30 metres tall and 18 metres wide – from the ends of his outstretched arms. It is also free for visitors to visit Christ of Vung Tau. The only thing is that you will have to contend with 1000 steps that leads you all the way up from the entrance of Christ of Vung Tau to the statue itself. For us, these 1000 steps took about 20 minutes to climb with a couple of rests in between… For our full review of Jesus Christ Statue Vung Tau, visit 2bearbear today! Outdoor Activities
Long Hai Beach, also known as Phuoc Hai Beach, is a serene coastal destination located near Vung Tau city in Vietnam. It offers a peaceful retreat with its wide sandy shores, clear waters, and stunning sunset views. The beach is dotted with small rocks and surrounded by whispering poplar trees, creating a picturesque setting for swimming and leisurely strolls. Visitors can also explore the rustic fishing villages nearby and indulge in various seafood offerings from local vendors.
Long Hai beach is the ideal oriented beach to the summer Monsoon winds. Between the months of June and mid September, winds come from W-NW direction. Long Hai beach it is shallow, very broad and quite long. Only during weekends the beach gets crowded, while during the week it is mostly to yourself
Kitesurfing V — Google review
Basically a locals only beach! Not a lot of foreign travelers here yet. Last time I came was 8 years ago and it was packed, this time basically empty. Can't say which I like more, the peace and quiet (you tune out the seafood sellers....which is part of the atmosphere) of an empty beach or the busy hussle of a booming beach with locals partying down drinking beer. It was a Wednesday so maybe it was just middle of the week lull. Either way I enjoy both busy parties or slow and relaxing so maybe time your visit for weekend or week day depending on your style. There was a small fish in season and fisher man were busy bringing their fish to the beach front "market". There was a tractor that hauls their little bathtub boats in and off the beach which was cool to watch. Shared a beer with one of the fisherman who was bringing his catch in. My kids loved it the sand, warm water and all the other kids to play with. The waves here are a LOT smaller than Vung Tau so great for kids and wind hits the beach at an angle and the current moves likewise. The selling gig (seafood, cabanas etc.) when you get there is a bit much but that's just part of the deal. Forieners by moped use paid parking for 10k per moped all day and don't lose your valet ticket, safe here. Feel free too BYOB, cups, snacks etc it will save you some serious money which you can use in the local seafood the ladies sell. I do miss that they used to cook right in front of you....I paid a lady to grill some of my one sun squid and I'm pretty sure she ate some...at least she enjoyed it! Weekday price was 400k for 8 chairs 4 tables and whole "tent".

Normal beach with white soft sand. There were vendors offering sea food and drinks. The water was warm and quite clean, but in the sand was trash. There is also a shower area for 15k VND.
Sommy — Google review
It is more beautiful to more you reach the end of the beach in the corner southbound. There is a buddhist monastery there and once you passed that the beach gets more quiet and beautiful but that’s 1,5 km away. At the common beach area of the pictures it’s usually busy with visitors including people selling ice cream. Recommend to come to the beach at low tide!! High tide unrecommended.
Michael B — Google review
If you go to Long Hai Beach and spot this restaurant... Don’t just walk—RUN! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️💨 We ordered seafood and the owner instructed us grab a seat. Later, they billed us 100K/chair. Who in the world pays for a chair just to sit and eat at their own establishment? The fact that they did not let us know ahead of time that we were going to be charged for the chairs was very misleading and dishonest. Though seafood was overpriced, but the worst part was the attitude we received.
LeAnne W — Google review

Nestled on a mountainside in Vung Tau, the Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda is a stunning Theravada Buddhist temple featuring ornate pagoda towers and a massive seated Buddha statue. As visitors ascend the hillside, they'll encounter various buildings and statues depicting significant moments in Buddha's life. The pagoda's main attractions are the 19-meter octagonal tower and the colossal Buddha statue resting on a lotus, visible from afar.
This temple is large and stunning, though somewhat tucked away behind Thích Ca Thiền Tự, making it a bit hidden. However, once you arrive, you’ll find it absolutely beautiful with plenty of great photo spots. While the main structure doesn’t appear massive, the courtyard is quite spacious, featuring natural rock formations that create unique and picturesque corners. If you have the chance, I highly recommend visiting—it’s truly a beautiful place!

Hidden gem of a Buddhist monastery and reclining Buddha statue spread out over multiple small peaks. Small climb up to see the pagoda and then you can keep exploring as there are hidden temples and statues around every corner. Peaceful shady place worth a visit just for the tranquility even for non-Buddhists

First if you are old and or in poor health don't try this one. If you ned any assistance walking or in a wheelchair ♿. I didn't see an elevator 😕. It's a LONG way up and many, many steps to climb. I'm almost 70 and the gal I was with was approximately 52 years old and couldn't go passed the first steps. But besides the statues, man the boulders/rocks were HUGE...The trees 🌳 also were many, many, many years old. Beautiful trees... it was worth the climb. Vendors are selling the wares which is somewhat annoying and takes away from the beauty of the place.

Back Beach, also known as Bai Sau, is a popular destination in Vung Tau known for its stunning landscape and clear blue waters. It offers a cleaner and more serene environment compared to the city's front beach, attracting both tourists and locals for swimming and relaxation. With its three-kilometer-long crescent of golden sand, shallow waters, and gentle waves suitable for all ages, visitors can enjoy various water activities or simply unwind on the shore.
Very much a local's family beach that comes alive late in the afternoons to stand around in the shallow water. Much beachside construction of modern design huge honeycomb type shelters. Also major winding pathway & roadway sidewalk paving.

About 2km of frontage under construction currently west end is clear and usable...dangerous rip currents here so going beyond waist deep is not recommended at this date and time

Vung Tau Back Beach – Tranquil Waves and Local Charm Located on the southeastern coast of Vietnam, Back Beach (Bãi Sau) in Vũng Tàu is a long stretch of golden sand that offers a refreshing, laid-back alternative to the country’s busier beach destinations. Known for its wide shoreline, gentle waves, and breezy atmosphere, Back Beach is the preferred spot for locals and returning visitors who appreciate its relaxed rhythm and everyday authenticity. The beach stretches for several kilometers along Thùy Vân Street, where you’ll find a mix of hotels, seafood restaurants, small cafés, and local markets. The vibe here is less about luxury and more about comfort, routine, and the simple joy of sand and sea. Mornings and late afternoons are especially vibrant, with families picnicking, children playing in the surf, and older locals practicing tai chi or flying kites. The sea is generally warm and inviting, with moderate waves ideal for swimming or light bodyboarding. Lifeguards are often present in more popular areas, and umbrellas and loungers are available for rent. While the midday sun can be intense, it’s the cooler hours—especially during sunset—when the beach comes alive with color and community. For photographers, Back Beach offers lovely natural light, sweeping coastal views, and a chance to capture real, everyday moments in a seaside town. For travelers, it’s a place to slow down, enjoy fresh seafood, sip Vietnamese iced coffee under a parasol, or stroll barefoot along the tide. While not a polished tourist hotspot, Vũng Tàu’s Back Beach has its own charm—genuine, friendly, and connected to local life. It’s a perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful coastal escape just a few hours from Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently under massive construction. There are no restaurants or food, only a few vendors selling snacks and drinks. At the entrance are water closets and showers. The beach is very walkable, extending 2 kms to the right and several kms to the left. The waves are not large but there is a tremendous amount of garbage on the beach, especially at the high water mark. No efforts are made to clean the beach however after the construction is done next year I'm sure they'll send out cleanup crews. Sadly, there are also numerous tarballs on the beach from the oil rigs off the coast.

The sea view is acceptable, and it is the closest beach to Ho Chi Minh City. Both times I visited this place were for team-building activities. Next time, I should come here purely for sightseeing.

Had a wonder day trip to Vung Tau. Hope the beach (under construction and full of rubbish now) is open soon! This place is just a short trip from Ho Chi Minh City, is a lovely coastal escape! Our family really enjoyed the relaxed vibe. The beaches, especially Back Beach is well loved by locals, seems great for swimming and building sandcastles (but might not appeal to tourist) with gentle waves for the kids. We loved exploring the Christ the King statue, try climbing up for incredible views – quite a workout, but worth it! There are also plenty of delicious seafood spots. It's a wonderful blend of beach relaxation and interesting sights for everyone.

The Night Market Vung Tau is a lively and convenient destination located at the city center, operating from 7 pm until the early hours of the next day. It offers a wide variety of mouth-watering dishes, especially fresh seafood, with many seafood restaurants offering freshly cooked options. Additionally, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as the War Remnants Museum and the Giant Jesus Statue atop a 32-meter high mountain.
Most try for foreigners/visitors especially if you're into seafood. It's a seafood place with much to choose from. But it's kind of fully packed most of the time. Though affordable and all, just remember to take note of your orders and keep track of the prices 'cause there are lots of customers, hence, some mixed ups are unavoidable.

Chơn Không Monastery, established in 1966 and restored until 1995, is nestled on the slopes of a mountain in Vung Tau. The complex features a giant seated Buddha statue and a Fate statue holding a lotus flower near the entrance. Visitors can explore an ancestral tower, main hall, meditation hall, bell tower, and nunnery within the serene grounds. The monastery offers stunning views of the city and sea from its elevated location.
This is probably the most iconic temple in this city. The view from here is great, so you wanna make sure to come on a clear sky day. The vibe here is also great and it feels really nice.
Ak — Google review
Chơn Không Monastery, perched on the slopes of Núi Lớn (Big Mountain) in Vung Tau, is a serene spiritual retreat that offers both cultural richness and breathtaking panoramic views. Founded in the late 20th century, it follows the Zen Buddhist tradition, emphasizing simplicity, meditation, and harmony with nature. The setting is peaceful from the moment you arrive — shaded paths, lush greenery, and the gentle scent of incense create an atmosphere ideal for reflection. The architecture blends traditional Vietnamese pagoda elements with open spaces that invite the sea breeze and mountain air. Ornate gates, curved tiled roofs, and delicate carvings give the monastery an understated elegance. Within its grounds, you’ll find a meditation hall, small shrines, and quiet gardens filled with bonsai trees and flowering plants. The calm is only interrupted by the soft ringing of temple bells or the distant call of seabirds. One of the highlights is the sweeping view from the monastery’s terrace, where you can gaze over Vung Tau’s coastline, the shimmering South China Sea, and the busy harbor below. Many visitors choose to arrive early in the morning or near sunset, when the light is gentle and the scenery especially captivating. Chơn Không is not just a tourist stop — it’s an active place of practice where monks and laypeople engage in meditation, chanting, and mindful living. Visitors are welcome to explore respectfully, take part in silent contemplation, or simply enjoy the tranquility. Whether you come for spiritual reasons or for the beauty of the location, the monastery offers a profound sense of peace and a deeper appreciation of Vung Tau’s cultural and natural treasures.

Love the temple for its greenery, tranquility. It would take roughly 15 minutes from the street level to get up there on foot without rest stops. We’d normally go up there with our bicycles (riding when it’s not too steep and pushing them otherwise!) early in the morning

Such a beautiful place to visit Don't miss it if you thinking about it Going up here you can see the city, sea, and other view around too. Fresh air from here are amazing. The structure are really nice too. The day I went was really windy so I can't take many pictures. Weekdays weren't to busy plus not any holiday too.
Tuxx N — Google review
Friendly monks eager to help you and have a little discussion about the monastery, its lineage and masters. The 136 steps to reach the huge Buddha statue is good cardio for your daily exercice. You can notice that the hill near Cap Saint Jacques has a 32 meters tall Jesus Christ statue while the inland hill has the Buddha statue. From the feet of the Buddha you get a wonderful panoramic view of Vung Tau. So the visit is well worth your time an effort and do not forget to sponsor the 30 resident monks of all ages !

Bạch Dinh, also known as the White Palace, is a captivating historical landmark nestled on the slopes of Big Mountain in Vung Tau. Once serving as a summer retreat for French Governor General Paul Doumer, this elegant mansion boasts beautifully preserved rooms that offer a glimpse into Vietnam's rich history through various artifacts. Surrounded by lush gardens and offering stunning views, Bạch Dinh provides an ideal backdrop for photography enthusiasts and those looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll among towering trees.
Bạch Dinh is a charming historical site with French colonial architecture and stunning sea views. The walk up is scenic, surrounded by frangipani trees. Inside, antique ceramics and artifacts add to the charm. A peaceful spot for history lovers and photography. Worth a visit!

Bạch Dinh, also known as the White Palace, is a beautiful historical site in Vung Tau that’s definitely worth a visit. The palace itself is a blend of French colonial architecture, with elegant white facades and intricate details. Inside, you'll find fascinating exhibits of antique furniture, ceramics, and artifacts, all providing a glimpse into Vietnam's past. The gardens surrounding the palace are lush and peaceful, with scenic views overlooking the ocean and the city below. It’s a great spot to learn about history, enjoy the natural surroundings, and take some memorable photos. However, it is very hot and humid.

A beautiful museum which used to be residence of Joseph Athanase Doumer (born March 22, 1857 in Aurillac , Cantal , died May 7, 1932 in Paris ), who was a French politician . He was Governor-General of Indochina from 1897 to 1902. Many tourists come during the weekend. Locals from Vũng Tàu hardly come.

A pleasant villa on expansive grounds overlooking the coast. Sparse as a museum, showing the basic furnishings used at the time of the Governor-General. Not much in the way of Historical description, but you can still hear the whispering of the kitchen staff in the barren basement, muttering about the lack of supplies and empty larder. A fine place to stop by on your way to someplace else.

The Worldwide Arms Museum in Vung Tau, Vietnam is a remarkable private collection of military arms, uniforms, and paraphernalia from various historical periods and global regions. The museum showcases about 2,500 authentic artifacts from conflicts worldwide, including exhibits dedicated to the Vietnam War, French Colonial period, Chinese history, European wars, and Zulu warfare. British expat Robert Taylor spent 50 years amassing this extensive collection which forms the basis of the largest private weapons museum in Asia.
A very well presented museum of the history of military uniforms and weapons. One of the best I have ever seen. It was my second visit, and I still enjoy every moment. And I will definitely visit it again when I next visit Vung Tau. My favourite section is the Australian area. But to be honest I enjoy the whole museum.

Absolutely gorgeous and priceless! This is by far the best and most satisfied museum I have ever been to nationwide. They offer a range of services beyond the tour around a museum built around a very intriguing concept, and the way they have a French colonial house as the front adds to the immersion. As you ascend this serene hill, prepare to be captivated by panoramic views of both the city and coastline.

A nice view spot. It’s not so easy to get here and you can have a better view from the main state nearby and that’s probably more than enough.

The road up is definitely not for the faint-hearted, especially if you are on a bike with more than one person. Rough path with lots of stones and no proper road, which is really surprising because the rest of Vung Tau has very good and smooth roads. This hill is on the way up to the Jesus Christ Statue, a nice lookout point to stop and take some photos of the coastlines. Note that there is a lady who will stop you pretending that you need to park your bike and can’t go further but do just ride past her (like how all the locals do) and you’ll find this nice little hill here.
Mabbel E — Google review
Perched atop a tranquil hill, this hidden gem offers a spellbinding view of the sea and beach. Arrive early in the morning, and you'll witness a breathtaking sunrise that paints the sky in hues of pink and gold. The calm sea reflects the changing colors, creating a serene tableau. The gentle sound of waves below adds a soothing soundtrack to this natural spectacle. With well-placed seating and a cool morning breeze, it's the perfect spot for a peaceful start to the day. This hill with its amazing sunrise view is a brief escape to paradise—a moment that lingers in memory long after the sun has fully risen.

the best water park of hcmc, better than Suoi Tien water park. At least 15 toboggan for adult, with crazy high and fast and scary ones... and 5 for kids. chairs and tables are good.
A S — Google review
Not the best water park I’ve ever visited but ok. It’s located in the city, easy to get there, it’s quite big and has enough slides. What I personally don’t like is that you have to pay for keeping your stuff each time you need your bags. It’s just 25,000 but anyway this is the first time I’ve experienced such a strange rule in the water park.👎🏽there is a food court, so if you’re hungry don’t worry you can find smth to eat and it’s cheap. In general, it’s ok just be careful on the slides, have fun and enjoy your time in Dam Sen Water Park🛝🌊

I took my son to the water park on Saturday and we had a great time! It wasn’t too busy, so he got to enjoy all the slides and pools without long waits. He had such a fun time that he didn’t want to leave — only the rain made us head home. The tickets cost 400k for both of us, which I found reasonable for the experience. Overall, a fun day out and definitely worth visiting with kids!
Baljeet S — Google review
It's outdated and old. Over 140cm is adult and more ride options. Under 140cm there's only 2 slides they can do along with the kids pool and wave pool. Most of the adult slides, the panels are not smooth so when you go down on them, it rubs against your skin and hurts. Food and drinks were very affordable like a home cooked meal which was good.
Lily P — Google review
We had the pleasure of visiting this fun waterpark for kids on a Friday afternoon in July. My kids are 6-9 and they really enjoyed the tidal wave pool and kiddie pool. There's a lazy river, too, but requires adult to go with. Overall, the kids had a blast and there are chairs everywhere to sit and get some shade even on a busy weekend. You can bring your own water and food if you want, since they don't check.

As I started walking up the steps to the temple there was a lot of people already begging for money. Don't get me wrong I donate to people all the time but it was a bit overwhelming for me. There was one guy asking us if he wants us to take a picture for us. Everyone around is just very motivated to get money from you and I wished it was a bit more regulated. Most people are in a giving mood when they go to a temple but this one in particular every corner I turn there was people asking me for money.

We love the variety of rides for both adults and little children, as well as how old school it is while there is certain safety protocols in all the rides. One adult is able to accompany a toddler for all the kiddy rides, so parents with kids who want to play but are not quite ready can have a peace of mind here. The ticket is also for one person though an accompanying adult is riding with a child. The other positive thing about this amusement park (though it’s more like a funfair) is that the children rides are relatively longer than other Asian countries funfair. We like how there are a lot of ticket booths situated nearby the rides so you won’t have to walk really far or plan in advanced just to buy tickets for the rides. Worth a visit if you have kids or if the kid in you wants to have some childhood fun again!

It called my attention especially the detail of the svasticas at the entrance of the temple, until the point that I had to document myself to understand that contrary to what many think, - related to the German Nazis - the use of the gmada cross has an ancient tradition in India, Nepal, Japan, Korea and Vietnam, meaning luck and success. I am uploading some photos of the pagoda as well as the svasticas on different temples around the world.

Ba Ria Green Stone Lake, situated just 15 kilometers from the bustling city center of Vung Tau, is a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its striking emerald waters. Once a quarrying site, the lake's unique color is a result of the minerals left behind, creating an enchanting contrast against the surrounding rocky mountains. This tranquil oasis serves as an ideal backdrop for photography enthusiasts and couples looking to capture special moments.
A very beautiful place. Clear water, we swam. It was a lot of fun:)

Not crowded at all...the beach is breathtaking. It is quite hard to get here though....because it is not as popular destination for tourists. It is more of a local beach

Beach
Bai Dau is a narrow sandy beach located below the highway, surrounded by several churches and a Buddhist temple. Visitors can enjoy relaxing on its golden sands, swimming in the sea, or trying out water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. The area offers diverse experiences for all types of travelers, from historical landmarks to culinary delights and natural beauty. It's a beautiful place to take a break and enjoy the peaceful sunset.
Nice quiet beach that looks like good for bathing.
Ak — Google review
Unlike other beaches in Vung Tau, Strawberry Beach, also known as Bai Dau, is situated in a tranquil area where several renowned checkpoints and worship places, including the Mother Mary and the Child Jesus statue and Bodhisattva pagoda, are located. Consequently, Strawberry Beach is an ideal destination for individuals seeking solitude and tranquility, as well as photography enthusiasts who desire to capture serene but breathtaking images. Given that this location does not draw tourists for swimming due to its rocky cliffs and uneven seabed, visitors can enjoy the sunrise and sunset in a fresh air atmosphere without being disturbed by the surrounding environment.

Bãi Dứa is a beach in Vung Tau that offers a great view and is less crowded on regular days but gets busier during weekends and holidays. It's conveniently located, just a short distance from the city center. While it has some rocky areas, there are still good spots for swimming, making it a peaceful option compared to other beaches in the area. However, there have been concerns about the amount of trash present at the beach.
It's got a great view! I love the waves in the afternoon, not crowded in daily but more crowded in the weekend and holidays. It's take 6 minutes from book street and 10 minutes from centre. Hope you enjoy your holiday when visit VungTau and enjoy the atmosphere of BaiDua beach...💦💦💦💦💦💙💙💙💙💙

Vũng Tàu Marina, situated in the Dong Xuyen industrial zone of Vũng Tàu city, is a popular destination for both local and international visitors. It offers boat and canoe anchorage services, as well as various water activities such as high-speed canoeing, surfing, and sailing. Although temporarily closed due to issues with the People's Committee of the Province, the marina still attracts people with its picturesque river views and opportunities for leisurely boat rides.
Very nice place and friendly people. My friend has sailed some yachts to here a couple of time. Good location in Vung Tau for boat & yachts ever. Unfortunately, they was temporarily closed the boat activities by some issues from the People's Committee of the Province. Hope they can reopen as soon as possible and continue to develope the marina with higher quality.

Price : 30 000 for 1 person, we came with a little dog on our scooter. For a walk and for a drink to get fresh air. Nothing else to do here, it s just changing a bit the landscape of Vung-Tau.
Marc M — Google review
We got here on a weekday. Except for the guard - no one around. Some music from the 90s was playing. Nice place to take a couple of photos. It is possible that events can be held here. There is a small museum of boats models. The entrance fee is 30,000 dong - it seems that this is the only way to earn at least something.
Julia S — Google review
good place for a photo. Equipment is not new but not old. pass price is reasonable. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to.
Dinrid Z — Google review
Seems not to be active as marina anymore. But the restaurant is opened and serves dishes and drinks. I can recommend the crushed-iced smoothies, which are really yummy. Music too loud for a romantic evening at the quiet seaside, illumination could also be more decent at night. All in all one can come again

Saigon River Tour offers a delightful dinner cruise experience in Vietnam. The tour begins with a scenic drive through the lively streets of Saigon before boarding a traditional ship. Guests can choose from two set menus and savor a five-course Vietnamese feast, each dish representing the rich local cuisine. As the ship glides along the river, passengers can enjoy mesmerizing city lights and live music performances. Whether on a budget or looking to splurge, there are options for everyone to enjoy this charming river tour.
We went on this trip at the suggestion of Danny from Discova. We were not disappointed. The speed boat was truly amazing. We loved the speed and the chance to see Saigon from the river. Yo, our tour guide is exceptionally knowledgeable and gave us a great amount of information about the history of the Cu chi tunnels and the area. We were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the boat. The tour was so good. Do this tour and request Yo as your tour guide you will not be disappointed.

Amazing day with Saigon River Tour! We did the Cu Chi Tunnels tour by speedboat with Saigon River Tour, and it was honestly one of the best things we did in Vietnam. Cruising up the river in the early morning was beautiful and peaceful — such a nice way to escape the city traffic. The boat was super comfortable, with cold drinks and friendly staff who really looked after everyone. Our guide was awesome — funny, knowledgeable, and made the history of the tunnels come alive. We arrived before most of the crowds, which made exploring the site so much better. Lunch was simple but tasty, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour if you want a fun, scenic, and easy way to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Worth every minute! Special thanks to Yo for being the expert tour guide! Thank you!

Excellent ! The guide was helpful, funny, and informative. The 1:30h boat tour is really nice, going from a modern Saigon to a more traditional landscape. The tour itself was interesting even though Cu Chi is a touristic place with everything being modified for us. I would greatly recommend to book a tour on a boat and not with a minivan. Thank you Chi for the visit !

Highly recommended Saigon River Tour company and tour guide Phuong. She was very good English speaking, showed our family around the sites. We loved the stories about the Vietcong fighters and how they used their tunnels for fighting in 20 years. I was a little scared to be under ground but some people on the group got through the whole way 100m I think. Very fascinating about what they came through. We came back after 2.5 hours and lunch at the end. They are willing to drop us back at the War Museum which is very kind. The service was good, plenty of waters, fruits (great tiny bananas lol) and crossaint on the boat too. Thank you Phuong and captain!
