Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Elmwood Village, Kuni's is a charming haven for lovers of Japanese cuisine. With its rustic brick and concrete walls, this cozy eatery offers an inviting atmosphere that feels more like a trendy Brooklyn spot than one found in Buffalo. Since 1996, Chef Kuni Sato has delighted patrons with an array of traditional sushi and sashimi alongside innovative daily specials that showcase his culinary creativity.
I drove all the way from Toronto to check out this hidden gem! Had a few friends tell me about this cute restaurant tucked away in downtown Buffalo. The freshness of the fish and seafood here outshines some of the best places I’ve eaten at in Toronto! The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a date night or girls night out. The attention to detail from service to the variety in drinks is top notch! Definitely looking forward to stopping here again!
Chintana S — Google review
We had a simply OK meal, nothing special. The service seems overwhelmed. Overrated, expect a wait and try not to sit outside with the sun grilling you BTW the drink in the picture was their version of an old fashioned - seemed like a canned drink over vending machine ice.
Steve B — Google review
I recently went on a girls’ trip across the border. The first thing we did was check out Kuni’s since we were starving and wanted something filling. Kuni’s is a small and cozy Japanese restaurant that serves authentic sushi dishes. The service was okay, but it could’ve been better. The portion sizes were perfect for the three of us. We ordered their miso soup & salad to start. For our appetizers we got their sashimi 21. We also got a couple of rolls to try, we got their tuna, salmon, scallop & avocado rolls. We also got their surf clam and Inari. Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered. The miso soup and salad were light and refreshing. We particularly loved the dressing they used on their house salad. The sashimi and sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, and it’s evident their chef uses the finest ingredients. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Buffalo!
Jenny L — Google review
I liked everything that I’ve had here. Ankimo was fresh and buttery. The grated yamaimo with tuna was clean tasting and refreshing. Eel with seaweed and cucumber was interesting, sort of like a little warm salad. Very good. The mini grilled octopus to me was a tad too salty. I would have liked to taste more of the octopus and less of the sauce. I did also finish off with a couple of the ikura sushi and they were very tasty as well. It’s a lively small space and Service was good.
Tien H — Google review
My first time dining here with my husband. We absolutely loved it. The space is cozy and inviting. Our server was amazing and had such great energy. The menu has a beautiful selection of both food and drinks. We enjoyed everything. The octopus and the udon soup were my faves oh and the vegetable tempura too! This is our new favorite place and will definitely be back.
Angelica L — Google review
The vibe and decor was cozy. A little tight on space but service was good. Prompt and food came quickly too. We had the sample platter for sushi and sashimi. Everything tasted fresh! I was also pleasantly surprised with the veggie tempura, very creative. Their udon soup was a hit, too. A bit on the sweeter side, noodles were soft so my mom loved it, I would have preferred it a little chewy. I'd love to come back and try other things when I am in the area.
Elhgyne A — Google review
Oh my goodness. One of the best sushi places in the country. And believe me, I have been around enough. Highly recommended! The wasabi gyoza was a revelation. The miso soup just so good, so right. A must visit. I’ll be coming back again, for sure.
Marvin M — Google review
We were a big party that came to celebrate. We sat outside at 6:30,looked at the menu and started ordering. The appetizers were delicious and we moved on to ordering the main plates. It took them over an hour and a half(!!!!!) To get the food out, and it was NOT that we ordered an excessive amount of food. When the food finally arrived after that absurd wait, all the sushi rolls we ordered came on the same tray with no way of us knowing what belongs to who and The amount of fish in the sushi was pretty small too. We got no compensation for any inconveniences, and that's okay - that's why we have reviews

Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
China Star is a great restaurant that consistently provides delicious food that is fast, hot and easy to order. They have a variety of menu items including chicken and broccoli combo with pork lo mein and egg rolls.
Sends the last time I was here, China Star opened after remodeling, and the food was very good service. It was excellent service, and the new menus
Darrell J — Google review
Let me start by saying that Chinese food isn’t my top choice. I like it, but my companion loves it and could probably eat it every day. Luckily, we have plenty of options in the city to choose from. Every couple of months, when I’m in the mood for Chinese, we come here. The food is always hot, fresh, and cooked just right. They’re really generous with the extra egg rolls, and sometimes they throw in those sweet little donut treats too. The staff is super friendly, and they do appreciate when you pay in cash. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in North Buffalo looking for great Chinese takeout.
Ronald P — Google review
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Buffalo. The vegetables they add are always really fresh tasting along with the rest of the food. Also I’d add their kids that handle the front register and orders are so well mannered and very respectful so they deserve recognition, and it’s a pleasure ordering from here because they are very honest and polite people and are obviously very good for the community overall. I would recommend them over any Chinese restaurant in the north Buffalo community. Great job China Star!

I ordered orange chicken and got sweet and sour tossed in sauce with jalapeño pieces in it
Aariel B — Google review
I ordered rib tips in black bean sauce. It's supposed to come with rice. I didn't get my rice. This is not the first time. I'm cooking my own rice to go with my rib tips. Usually I use the rice from another dish. That dish wasn't ordered this time. The purpose of ordering takeout is so you don't have to cook! I'll have to really think about ordering from here again.🤔
Michele G — Google review
I ordered General Tso’s chicken and crab rangoon. Everything tasted old. I’ve never had such leathery and tough crab rangoon in my life. The chicken was extremely dry and the batter was soggy. Even the side of white rice tasted stale. The food tasted as though they microwaved old food. I didn’t finish my meal as it was that bad… Such a shame as I’ve had food from here before and never had a bad experience until now. Unfortunately will not be coming back. :(

Worth the values. Only a few desks inside, so mostly working on pickups orders. I did sit in and ordered this Singapore chao fen 星州炒粉。pretty good for me. only $11.
Herbert Y — Google review
Was craving this food last night..and after getting home with it, was total regret! My husband threw up after eating one steamed dumpling! The fried chicken was dry and over cooked! The rice was bland! And as far as the wonton soup, the wonton were all falling apart! Did I receive OLD FOOD? I wasted over 30 bucks on dinner...I truly miss the ORIGINAL China Star, their food was always FRESH.

Barbecue restaurant

Box lunch supplier
Located in Buffalo, NY, Southern Junction is a takeout-only restaurant operating out of a commissary kitchen in Chandlerville. Chef-owner Ryan Fernandez, with roots in India and Texas, brings a unique fusion of flavors to the barbecue scene. The menu boasts items like barbacurry and smokey tikka that are packed with flavor due to the infusion of Indian spices.
Best Barked Brisket in Buffalo. The Flat Iron Steak and pickled onions were a close second. I used every bit of the what I believed to be brioche bread. It was the perfect vehicle to shovel the meat. I will go back even though the price for the amount you get was making you think. Great relaxed atmosphere. The 2 man band was enjoyable and wasn’t too loud. A nice experience.
Joseph A — Google review
We went an hour before closing to place a takeout order and had a great experience. The food was incredible, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was on point. We ordered three types of meat: chicken, beef, and sausage. We also ordered coleslaw, mac and cheese, biryani rice, coconut curry sauce, and BBQ sauce. The quality and flavor of everything were fantastic. The meats were fresh. The sides were great as well. The sauces tasted amazing. I definitely prefer the coconut curry one. The only thing I probably wouldn't reorder is the mac and cheese. It was just okay. The service was great. The people preparing our tray were welcoming and friendly. We did order a fourth side, but it seemed they forgot to make it for us. We realized this after we returned home with the food. Other than that, we were very satisfied with the service. The price of everything was actually cheaper than what we were predicting as well. Although we didn't dine in, we could tell the vibes of the space were good. We didn't plan to dine in due to the insane amount of people that usually come visit the restaurant. Overall, a near flawless experience in my opinion. Highly recommend anybody who wants to enjoy good food.
Kevin D — Google review
Texas Taste, Southern Style As a partial owner of a BBQ catering business, former Austin resident, and someone who’s visited many of the most iconic Texas BBQ spots, I came in with high expectations—and Southern Junction absolutely delivered. We tried the turkey, brisket (you can choose lean or fatty), pulled pork, the phenomenal Brisket Bimini, mac and cheese, cornbread, and roasted cauliflower. Everything was memorable, balanced in flavor, and expertly smoked. The cauliflower and cornbread in particular stood out—unexpected hits! The ambiance is exactly what you want from a true Tex-ish BBQ joint. As you walk in, you’re greeted with the smell of real blue smoke from the pits and the sound of country music echoing down the painted alleyway. It sets the tone perfectly. You have two options for ordering: the slice-to-order line or table service in the bar area. We chose the latter and found the wait time about the same. Pick what fits your group best. Seating is plentiful both indoors and out. The backyard has a laid-back, casual vibe complete with cornhole—great for groups, families, or a relaxed afternoon hang. The staff was friendly and helpful, rounding out a 5/5 experience. I highly recommend this place whether you’re local, just passing through, or on a BBQ pilgrimage.
Molly J — Google review
Food is out of this world; best BBQ period. Excellent service; very friendly. Atmosphere is amazing due to great service at the bar and the folks who are taking order.
Rajeev V — Google review
Great food! Though you’re definitely paying for it. I drove about 2.5 hours to come here and I don’t regret trying it. Definitely want to be here early if you come on a Saturday. I arrived 20 minutes early and there was already a line forming. When I left about 45 minutes after they opened the line was down the block. They could probably stand to have more than 1 person cutting the meat for trays as it is quite slow. I got my food and the person I was with didn’t come outside to sit down for another 5+ minutes. I got the trinity platter with a Texas Twinkie. Ribs - Perfectly cooked. Easily came off the bone, but didn’t fall off so they were easy to eat. BBQ sauce and smoke flavor were good and blended perfectly. Sausage - I got the spicy sausage that is cheese filled. It was mid and I wasn’t a big fan of it. The sweet sausage is not cheese filled and while I still wasn’t a huge fan of it, it was better. I wish I could’ve substituted this one for something else, but subs weren’t allowed. Brisket - I went with the fatty option because I normally have liked the fattier pieces. I found myself wishing I’d gone with the leaner option to get more meat out of it. Flavor was good, but the fat was a bit much for me, and I’ll normally eat beef or pork fat without issue. Biriyani - This was something I was really excited for, but while I did finish it I would say it’s one of the worst I’ve had. The rice was undercooked and the flavor didn’t do it for me. The person I was with also wasn’t a big fan of it either. Cornbread - I’m torn on this one. I loved the cardamom flavor and the texture was fantastic. It didn’t really taste like cornbread though and I found I preferred it as an after meal dessert option instead of eating it during. I would’ve preferred a more traditional tasting cornbread for my meal with the cardamom cornbread as a dessert after. Texas Twinkie - Delicious. Recently had to pay 14 dollars for 3 small Texas twinkies that didn’t compare to this one. I’d recommend it, though it was spicier than they claimed and I preferred that. It’s big enough that’s it’s not a bad app to split between two people too. Milk Bread - I love milk bread and this is no exception, but it didn’t really pair with the food the way a nice piece of white bread would’ve. It goes great with the desserts though. I was dipping it in my banana pudding and it was a delicious combo. Banana pudding - Nothing to write home about. Something of a bog-standard banana pudding, but banana pudding is delicious in general so it’s hard to fail. The lack of nilla wafers was my biggest complaint. I think they had some crushed and sprinkled, but I prefer the whole wafers getting softened in the pudding. Sauces - All good, but I think I preferred the non-spicy one the most. I never fully wrapped my head around the yellow one being curry flavored and not mustard flavored. Would’ve loved to have a mustard flavored sauce to go with my meal. Especially for the sausage.
Xero R — Google review
This place is well worth waiting in the line out the door! We went on a Monday evening thinking it wouldn't be very busy. We were wrong! The line moved along quickly and the workers were very friendly and patient. They have a small bar you can sit at as well as some seating inside and outside. Their meats were perfectly cooked and I can't get over how good the mac and cheese was! The only thing I did not personally like was the smoked cauliflower but the smoke flavor was maybe just too much for me.
Raelynn M — Google review
Fantastic first experience here for brunch. We got two foldies (pastrami and kielbasa), masala potatoes, and a biscuit. All of the sauces were delicious as well. Very flavorful and not too spicy. Great patio space and music. We will have to come back to try the cinnamon roll. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu sometime!
Tony Y — Google review
Best BBQ I’ve ever had, even better than the ones I got from Texas. I got there late and the only options left were flat iron steak and barbacurry beef, with a Brisket biryani rice and cornbread as sides. Food was BOMB and staff are friendly. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I wish I could visit one more time before leaving Buffalo but so sad they only open at 4pm.

Nestled in a cozy corner, Wasabi Japanese Restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for sushi lovers. With its dim lighting and relaxed vibe, this sushi haven is known for its extensive selection of rolls and authentic Japanese dishes. The lunch specials are particularly popular, featuring a fantastic three-roll sushi deal that keeps patrons coming back for more. Owner and chef Tony Kang brings over two decades of experience to the table, ensuring each bite reflects his expertise.
This was our first visit and it was probably the first of MANY. The ambiance was very reminiscent of being in Japan and the sushi was outstanding to match. We got the sushi dinner, miso soup, shrimp shumai, shrimp pad thai, and yaki soba. We devoured the shumai too quickly for a photo but they were big, hot, and delicious. The shrimp in the pad thai was SO good. They catered to the few changes we made to our dishes and everyone was very friendly and patient. Highly recommend!
Raelynn M — Google review
Nice cozy place with variety of Japanese dishes. Their unique sushi options are a must try. We loved the Kiss of fire roll. The noddles we ordered were not overpowered by soya so they were yummy also. Just would recommend not deep frying the shrimps in the noodles.

Amazing food in the town!!All sushi /sashimi are fresh and delicious. Drinks were great!! Loved the love boat for two, and sunflowers roll, sever is very nice too, will never be disappointed if you could come to have a wonderful lunch or dinner!
Sherry L — Google review
It is one of the top places for Sushi and Authentic Japanese cuisine hands down. A must try when in Buffalo. It's not crazy big or tons of seating, so take-out is fine, as well. Or do a reservation. Parking sometimes can be tricky as it is a busy area in Elmwood village. Lunch specials are well priced. Chicken teriyaki, tempura, or tonkatsu are good dishes. Sushi and Sashimi are amazing and some of the best in the city.
Dmyth 7 — Google review
Great little gem with a storefront that blends into the rest of the nearby buildings. You wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. Inside is cozy and quaint, but it is very small. I think there were either 6 or 8 tables, which are also small, and placed very close to each other, so you're practically elbow to elbow with other diners. The food though, I've had sushi from up and down each Coast and this place is easily in the top 5. I got the omakase (chef special, $35) and was surprised at the amount they gave me. The server was also very kind and warm. Each bite was delicious. I had never had uni before this, and it wasn't bad. If I ever visit Buffalo again I'm going to drop by again!

I have eaten here twice, the food was delicious but the staff was so rude (the middle aged women). I just came back because the food but her attitude didn’t change
Thúy — Google review
Update: still as good as ever. This place is so consistent and their lunch deal is just so good. The best quality for the price. They do the best spicy tuna roll of anywhere I’ve ever had. Also love the Alaskan roll. I also think the size of the roll is the proper size. Love this place so much. (Older review): Best lunch deal in town! Great sushi and even better for the price at lunch! Cute little spot. Simple and small on the inside. Can get busy but worth it. Hard to find good sushi not being on the coast, but this gets the job done. Love it here
Stephanie O — Google review
Small place but they obviously care about providing good service. Had some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time for a great price. I got the chef’s lunch for around 13$ and it was excellent. I’ll totally suggest this place to other people.

Restaurant
If you're on the hunt for authentic Korean cuisine in Buffalo, look no further than Koreana Restaurant. Nestled in a narrow strip mall near the Tonawanda/Amherst border, this hidden gem may require some navigation to find, but your efforts will be richly rewarded. With a menu that features beloved classics like bulgogi and the fiery kimchi jjigae stew, Koreana is a haven for those craving traditional flavors.
We seeked out this Korean joint while traveling in Buffalo for our sons college events. The food for Buffalo was excellent, from the Jaja men to ttabboki and various rice dishes. Everything was fantastic for the area and all reasonably priced. We're from NYC, so certainly we wouldn't say it competes with K Town here in NYC, but it was awesome Korean food for Buffalo.

Awesome, tasty food, perfect temperature hot!! Friendly staff, large portion for the price, delicious food, really happy with the choices. I had Jeju Style Pork Noodle Soup and beef Bibimbap, I love this place

Me and my partner had a delicious meal here! I had jjajangmyeon and he had the spicy pork box. They were very generous with the pork, so much that he almost ran out of rice 🤣🤣 The food was very good! Will definitely be returning to try other dishes. Self serve utensils/napkins and water pitcher in the fridge. The place was clean and tidy! Btw, bring cash for a discount!
Ashley K — Google review
Korean food is hard to find here in Buffalo, let alone a good one. Thats why this place is so important for us to support. The food here is authentic and on point. This is one of those place that you hope never runs out of business, but in fact thrives. Food is great, service is good and the atmosphere is warm. I usually get their jajang which is a dry noodle dish with black bean sauce. It is a staple in Korea and they do a good job staying true to the original taste. We also love their yang nyeom chicken which is another popular Korean fried chicken dish that is doused in chili garlic sauce. Great place if you are looking for something familiar or new!

Everything here is so good! I always go out of my way to come here because the food here is so good it’s better than most places in Toronto. I love the jjajang, jjampong, busan pork soup, sweet and sour chicken, bulgogi. Highly recommend!

Chose this restaurant based on the reviews in Google and it was sooo right! The host and the waitress Stephanie was very attentive and nice, food was delicious. And the ginger tea was yummmm. Definitely will come back, when visit Buffalo next time ugh

Having never been to a Burmese restaurant before, we had no idea what to expect. A local recommended we give this place a try, and we’re so glad we did. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, and the food was absolutely unforgettable. I still daydream about it and tell everyone heading to Buffalo that they need to eat here. It looks like the restaurant is temporarily closed, but I sincerely hope it reopens before our next trip back. When it’s open, this is without a doubt a must-dine experience in Buffalo.

The worst Pad Ke mao ever!! I ordered chicken spring roll and got home to find vegetable spring roll! But that’s not my annoyance, the pad ke Mao was tasteless, spineless, seasonless, I had beef pad ke Mao and the best stank like either it or the whole food was about to get rotten The food is not fresh! The ingredients or vegetables are probably not frozen properly Whatever it is, it wasn’t a good experience! For food that costs almost $30, I see no reason why this restaurant would make subpar food. Even a food truck or road side food seller can do better than this! As I expected, I had a stomach upset after eating this! Stay away! The food is trash and wouldn’t give you the thai food experience!

Was my first time at a Burmese Restaurant. I've had black rice before and I personally love it. The restaurant is nice, very welcoming and the stuff is very polite. We had the Seafood Feast Boat. It comes with a salad and a soup and later they bring the boat. It was a lot for 2 and we do eat a lot. We preferred to take the salad to go (and btw, what an amazing dressing, I can't tell much because I don't know but there's ginger in it). I also had an avocado juice, so good that I forgot to take a picture. I can't wait to come back and try other things! I'm giving it 4 starts because the initial service it did take a while to come up but nothing that would make us mad or anything like that.

Beef curry was a little salty at the beginning and at the end , can't really taste the curry in it as well. Their signature Pad Thai (not in picture) was really good, pounded with flavors and fresh ingredients . the avocado smoothie is quite good , it is not as sweet as other places so you can really enjoy your meal with it.

What a treat- truly different asian cuisine here, with black rice sushi!!! The items on the menu are familiar but have a twist, so you can get familiar kinds of dishes but wth a new take or a different or unexpected ingredient or presentation. The quality of the food was top notch, and the service was just as good. I was there for a late lunch with a friend, and it was not incredibly busy so we have a nice quiet meal, and were able to take our time and enjoy everything we (over)ordered! This was one of my favorite sushi experiences in Buffalo, and I can't wait to go back.

Ordered grub for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint in the deliciousness department. Had the Pad Thai for dinner, Chicken curry with Paratha as an appetizer, and Thai Ice Tea as my beverage. The Pad Thai was flavorful and came with a TON of bean sprouts on top, but it was okay. Would have liked a slightly bigger portion, but it was tasty which is most important. The curry had a nice flavor profile as well and was a Burmese curry so a little less thick thank Indian curry can be. The Paratha bread is special highlight that deserves oodles of praise and I recommend you get this by itself or with the curry (if you must) just to enjoy its tasty, flaky texture. Great for dipping in the curry as well. This was a takeout meal so can't speak to the service experience, but the ordering process was smooth on the website, but note that you can only pay with a giftcard online. Otherwise, you'll have to pay in-person upon pickup.

The food was really good! I especially really loved the coconut shrimp! I may have to come back again soon just for the free sake / ice cream offer from Yelp I didn’t realize was there until I got home, lol! Really great service too.

Irish pub
Cole's is a long-standing American pub in Elmwood Village, serving up creative pub grub and rotating taps since 1934. The menu features specialty sandwiches like the ham, turkey, and Swiss on marble rye, pot roast on a roll with caramelized onions and cheddar, sesame-encrusted yellowfin tuna salad, lobster ravioli in crab-vodka sauce, and barbecue ribs for dinner.
Went for Mother’s Day brunch and even though it was pretty crowded they still got us seated and served very quickly. They have a great brunch menu. And our server was very nice, friendly, and helpful I wish I remembered her name. Also the mimosas were great!! They have a few different kinds too. We sat outside on the patio and it was nice and clean and fun people watching.

Great character, overall, and enjoyable food, with a rather nice selection of adult beverages. There's a lot of sports stuff and eventually the TVs will end up all on sports, so if you enjoy that, good for you. If, however, you're like me, and you find sports annoying, you'll want to go early to avoid the downfall into shouting sportsball noises. Very nice up to then, tho. Oh, and there are purse books under the bar, like a quality pub.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks. Decent beer selection. Martini was well done. Ordered the Thai wonton, which were tasty, but i thought they were pricey for 3 on the plate. I think they were $15, makes them $5 each.

Food was good. Service was good. Didn't have to wait to be seated. Parking is a little difficult but that is to be expected since on the down town area. I just wish that carried more traditional Irish beers than IPA's from different breweries

It's an Irish pub with low lights and dark wood. Primarily bar food like burgers, sandwiches and wings. Service was slow as we were upstairs and the place was busy. Place could use a face-lift or a good cleaning.
Appleton F — Google review
The food is OK. The wings were not crispy, could have used 3-5 more minutes in the fryer to get rid of the fattiness of the skin. The chicken fingers taste like they came from a box. The grapes on the salad were mushy... it's alright food, but there are other better options out there. The service though, if I could give a negative 100, I would. The girl only came to take the order, to deliver half the order and then to throw the check in our faces. Of course, once we saw the bill and realized that she didn't split our check between the 2 families, so she could add the gratuity to the bill, we figured out why she didn't come to check on the food - she was getting her 20% regardless so we really didn't matter. Tried talking to a manager who could have cared less. The last time I'll spend a penny here. Sad, after over 25 years of coming here we will not be returning. You can do better. Especially for $180 check. Check in on your customers! I shouldn't have had to get my own to go containers and had to ask 3 other servers for refills because you never came back.

Saigon Cafe is a charming eatery that offers a delightful fusion of Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, all set against the backdrop of olive-colored walls adorned with artwork. This low-key restaurant provides a cozy atmosphere where guests can savor fresh and flavorful dishes. Diners have praised the wonton soup for its rich taste, while the Thai fried rice adds an interesting charred note to the meal.
This was my first time dining here with my Vietnamese boyfriend, and it was fantastic. We went at a slow time before the dinner rush and the service from Diamond SPARKLED. We highly recommend the Nem Cuon rolls and the grilled pork chop, which came with 2 surprise shrimps. The pho ga broth was so fragrant and clean, and they serve it with authentic green chilies instead of jalapeño peppers. I hate eating meat with tendons, cartilage, and bone, and have been put off by the meat at Asian restaurants before, but the pho ga was served with small, palatable pieces of chicken breast which I enjoyed. We also tried the wasabi steak salad; we had never seen this dish served at any other Southeast Asian restaurant before and it sounded good. Very little wasabi is melted into creamy seasoned butter and this is the salad dressing. Crisp romaine, tomato cooked but still firm, green onion and shallots, cucumber and delicious grilled flank steak. It was so unique, flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. We are very glad we tried this bo tai wasabi salad. Would come here again for sure. Wishing Saigon Cafe good luck in business, and prosperity and happiness for all employees, especially DIAMOND. God bless you all.

Ordered the summer roll and the Cơm Sườn Tôm Nướng Trứng, both were pretty good! Slightly puzzled by the utensils though: got chopsticks and a knife with the summer rolls, and a spoon with a knife for the entrée. Not a big deal, just... interesting to say the least. The restaurant was kind of dead (only saw 2 parties dining in) around 6:30 PM on a Friday. I really wonder how restaurants like this stay in business.
Jay H — Google review
Enjoyed an authentic Vietnamese lunch. Had springrolls, summer rolls, chicken satay, grilled pork chop, small bowl of pho, and sake flight. The server, Diamond had a great personality and was very attentive. The cook kept coming out to see how we liked our food. We left very full able satisfied. It tasted like home cooking.

Food was good but portions could be bigger. I really got into the store with a lot of excitement! Unfortunately I see on the menu they give you 3 satay as well as it says on the menu they give 3 satay. I server was good like average service but the restaurant is very well decorated and very clean but like I said food portions not good and they underserved me. Why didn't I ask in the store because I did not realize I was underserved. Sadly won't return but best of luck. Btw Duck Breast had more mushrooms than actual duck breast.

This place is a neighborhood gem. We live just a few blocks away and like to go here on Sunday nights. Never had a bad meal. Ordered the BBQ pork vermicelli tonight and the house sauce was absolutely excellent. I love it when a chef challenges you - and when you order a "4" spicy here, they don't disappoint. The nice thing is that there is a wonderful flavor to go along with the heat. They don't phone it in here. Good stuff!

Amazing food, reasonably priced, good portion sizes Ordered the Pho Ga and got a medium. They provide the broth on the side and all the ingredients fresh. Friendly staff 5/5 restaurant. Will definitely be coming here more.

The menu features traditional South-of-the-border flavors as well as innovative combinations like the Skinny Thai with fried tofu and peanut sauce. I absolutely love the “El Camino” (I get the chicken one) it’s my go-to dish every time! The flavors are bold and satisfying, and it always hits the spot. I highly recommend pairing it with extra chili sauce—it’s the perfect sauce (the mild is not spicy) that complement and takes the dish to the next level. Great food and great vibe!

Awesome place. Free street parking. Very quaint location in North Buffalo. Lots of small, interesting, local shops, restaurants, and bars. Ingredients are all super fresh and properly prepared. The pork tacos were delicious and the crack potatoes were insane. The manager waited on us. She was very helpful and really knows her stuff. Today was very nice and we sat outside. Heaven.
Jeff M — Google review
I literally order the same thing 90% of the time how do you mess it up? When Lloyds first came on the scene I enjoyed their flavors and now it’s just “meh”. What I truly despise is when I order nachos to go you put my protein in with my queso and for the amount of money you pay and what I paid today it’s not enough protein or queso in this by a long shot! What happened!? It’s always off when I dine here it lacks the consistent flavors it once had. I also didn’t get my rocket sauce with my order so and the presentation was unappealing. This really is disappointing.
Dawnette L — Google review
I’ve been a fan of Lloyd for years, and every time I see their green taco truck parked at an event or parked on the street, I have to stop. They never disappoint. I ordered the Dirty South taco and a braised beefburrito with their house chimi sauce — absolutely incredible. The meat is super tender, the flavors are bold but balanced, and everything tastes fresh. They also have great vegetarian options (the “Skinny Thai”) is a must-try if you’re into that). on the truck Carrie is always friendly, upbeat, and fast — even when there’s a line. You can tell that she works hard but still keeps a good attitude. Carrie is quick, and the food is always hot and fresh, even when they’re slammed. Bonus points for: Consistent quality (been eating Lloyd for 6+ years, still amazing) Creative menu items Affordable prices for the portion sizes That chimi sauce — honestly addictive If you’re in Buffalo and see a Lloyd truck, stop what you’re doing and order. Seriously. You won’t regret it.

Wow! Amazing burritos! We tried the fish, the ground beef and the shredded beef and they were all extremely tasty. Not your typical bland flavors. Whoever put these flavor combinations together knows what they are doing. We also did a side of potatoes and they were amazing too. I wish I had bought two of them!

Ramen restaurant
SATO is a stylish restaurant known for its traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi and ramen made with local ingredients. The Curry Green Ramen is a popular dish at SATO Brewpub, featuring mildly spicy chicken broth with chashu chicken, cilantro, bean sprouts, coconut milk, lime, fried onions, red bell pepper and lemongrass oil. The owner comes from a family of chefs famous for Fukui-style ramen in Tokyo.
The food was fantastic, the miso tasted home made and they did not skimp on the tofu and the salmon carpaccio was so fresh! For a main I got the gyudon and it is arguably the best I’ve had in the area. The atmosphere was very chill and the music was not loud in any way. Overall one of the best Japanese style restaurants I’ve been to yet.
S S — Google review
No hate to the restaurant owners or anything but my experience here was very subpar. The hospitality was respectable but the food was extremely uninspiring. The karage was decent but it was on the bland side and sauce helped slightly. The ramen however I would stay away. It was very bland and the noodle were not properly cooked. The ingredient in the ramen also did not match the theme of the dishes title and not fresh. It was manageable to eat but would not go here again. Don’t let the other positive reviews make it seem like a proper ramen establishment.
Wence S — Google review
Exellent food with a broad menu to choose from, leaving every kind of eater satisfied. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and the staff was very welcoming too. Reservations recommended as there are only limited seating options, especially for groups 6 and up.

We went on a Saturday and had spicy miso ramen… and sushi roll. Ambience and the service was really good but the food was average… my expectation was better…
Arpita M — Google review
We got the tonkotsu ramen and chicken katsudon. Tonkotsu Ramen: broth tasted like chicken noodle soup. No spice without the spice bomb. Noodles were severely undercooked. Charsu pork was thin and dry. Almost wanted to have it sent back. Chicken Katsudon: waitress did not bring out tonkatsu sauce right away. Without the sauce, the dish was bland. Eggs made the chicken breading super soggy. In contrast to the ramen noodles, the rice was beyond overcooked and mushy. Very disappointed that I spent a combined $50 on these two dishes Just go to Taisho Bistro :/

It took me over an hour to get my food, I had to have the chef make my ramen twice because the noodles were under cooked and still was not satisfied, the broth tasted like soy sauce. I rate the ramen 1/10. The fried chicken thighs and the aoli however was delicious as was the sushi.

Got the lunch special, it was pretty good and the service was decent. I wish the spring rolls were fully vegetable but they have some form of egg or something inside. The pad Thai was quite good tho, I got it very hot but it wasn’t that spicy. I might have a high tolerance for spice though.

This is the Yellow Curry noodles with scallops. The sauce was amazing. For those who are not as adventurous I do suggest the pad Thai. It was very good. But in terms of substance and taste, I enjoyed this meal. It's sweet and spicy with the curry kick. It is served with flat noddles.

Really very very very good! Pad Thai was a bit sweet for my taste... but was very fresh. The red curry tofu was amazing. Portions are big enough for three people. Starters were very good. If you're looking for an authentic Thai food experience, look no further. Taste of Siam did not disappoint us. First, the interior is open, with huge windows to let the sunlight in. Now the food. We had the fried wonton app which was out of this world. My entree was the sesame chicken which was like no other ive tried before. The coating was crispy and cooked perfectly. The portion was enough to feed 2! If you get a chance try this little gem in the heart of Elmwood village out. You won't be disappointed!

Still the best Thai food in Buffalo. We go here every almost weekend and recommend it to everyone. Fast service, friendly staff, big portions and the owner, Bobby is delightful. Two big thumbs up!

Dropped in for lunch and had to say it didn’t quite impress me being Thai and tasted quite a few Thai restaurants in the States. Decor and seating area is nice beside having difficult finding parking space. The Tom Yam Hot Pot was not on the lunch menu but they were able to make it. Too sweet and not enough lemon taste that comes with good Tom Yam soup. The stir fried Basil was also too sweet with too much black soy sauce; not your authentic way of making stir fried Basil. Ingredients were really off. Still not bad if you are looking for something different to a sandwich, burger or pizza for lunch. Just don’t expect it to taste Thai style authentic.

Good…but could definitely be better. I tried this place out last night with a couple of friends and to say it was worth it would be mixed. While I personally thought it was pretty good, the cold toppings made the ramen just not taste right, and the pricing is not the best. I mean $15.99 for a bowl of ramen is alright, but $7.99 for takoyaki is lowkey insane for me. Definitely planning on coming back regardless, but yk. In addition, their wall of artwork is quite cool too!

Compete lack of customer service, had to Keep getting up to request silverware, and a couple other things that were never brought to us. Nobody checks on you, you just sit there trying to get their attention while they play and joke around with each other over the food they're cooking. Food was pretty good except for the rubbery fish tasting crap loaded into my ramen (I ordered what I ordered because it didn't have seafood in it, but somehow still ended up there). Spent $70 for 2 people but feel like it should've been a $40 meal

This place has an absolutely ginormous menu of options and typically that would make me take a pause on how good it might actually be. But everything I tried and everything my friends ordered looked and tasted delicious! I got the spring rolls as well as their Chicken Pad Thai, and both of them were quite delicious and well portioned. Our first time here on a recommendation and its was great! The Pho had great rich flavor, added some hot oil for a perfect spice level. The fried dumplings and spring rolls were also delicious! Some of the best chicken and rice we have tried. Highly recommended!

Oh my goodness, it's like you're enjoying Pho in Saigon - the flavor is incredibly authentic. We both opted for the Pho Special and Bun Special, and they were both fantastic. Wish they offer different size options for the noddle soup. All in all we enjoy the food and service and would recommend this place!

I was recommended this spot by a family member since I never had pho before; I’ve been here twice since. This is a great little restaurant with not too much going on inside so it’s nice for dates or group dinners. Both times I e been here I had a super friendly server that made sure to help and answer any questions. I’ve ordered shrimp spring rolls both times and was super pleased they had a lot of flavor. I’ve also ordered the #28 pho bowl that comes with different things to add in - also a favorite and delicious. The beef that came in the pho was tender and the broth was super flavorful even before toppings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I definitely look forward to dining here again! :)

Upon arrival, I was greeted and seated almost immediately by a friendly hostess. The restaurant decor was traditional, lighting was dim with a fair amount of seating arrangements available. If I had a derogatory comment it would be the choice of music playing - I think something a bit more zen would be a more appropriate fit. But let's get to the part that everyone reads reviews for - THE FOOD! Combination Pho - rating: 7 out of 10 I ordered a small bowl and the portion size felt huge! The broth was rich and savory with a hint of sweetness, however; it lacked clarity which is essential to every great pho broth. The bean sprouts were by far the crispiest I have ever had in my lifetime. The thai basil was fresh and fragrant. The meat was a little overdone. In my opinion, it's easier to chew when kept on a medium rare scale. BBQ Pork Sandwich - rating: 9 out of 10 I ordered this sandwich as I know it to be a banh mi down in the south. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The bread was crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. The pork was seasoned well and had a hint of sweetness which complimented the fresh, crisp veggies perfectly. The only thing missing was lemongrass, which would have added a mild citrus flavor and ginger taste to balance it all together.

On Sunday, I went to Pho Lantern with my boyfriend. I have never been here and was craving the comfort of Vietnamese noodle soups! Just a head's up I do not have the photo on here of the chocolate lava cake and his chicken teriyaki Banh mi Coming: You can see all the beautiful tables that give date night vibes and decor! There are these cute lantern light chandeliers and that little serene space and I have a picture it as it is adorable and gives me the zen feels! I love it! At one of the tables, there's a little backdrop or picture on the wall of a beach and the sky. That's nice. Staff: Staff are welcoming and respectful. They gave us our menus (which are on the electronic tablets) and also asked us when we would like our dessert that I also didn't take a photo of because we ate it up! What we had: My boyfriend has the chicken teriyaki Banh mi with a fried egg on top and I had the Vietnamese chicken noodle soup! For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake. His reaction to the teriyaki chicken Banh mi: He saw the sandwhich came with vegetables and saucy chicken teriyaki and he dug in. He enjoyed it and felt quite full after finishing it. My review of the soup: This soup was really good. Chicken was soft and delicious (generous amount or portion). The broth was also good. The ingredients really give it that comforting taste and feel that makes you want to just go home and sleep or eat it while watching the moon or something. The noodles were very fine, soft, and easy to inhale. Every sip and bite was amazing. The noodles were endless too, because even though I ate alot of it, there was still alot of noodles and broth in the bowl as if I didn't eat alot lol. Great portions on that too. Our chocolate lava cake: It came with drizzles of chocolate sauce and it tasted kind of like a brownie. It was nice and warm like hug in the winter time. Great experience! Thank you!

Went last night for girls night and had a blast! We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival by a very lovely hostess. She took extra time to go over the most popular dishes and gauged what we would most likely enjoy. The Thai tea is light and refreshing and I recommend you try it. I had the rare beef Pho and omg, I have enough leftovers for at least two more meals. The food was fantastic and the service was perfect. The atmosphere is well...comfortable and quirky. We were given time after our meal to catch up and laugh. By the time we left we knew we'd be back for more!!!

I glad my daughter brought us here. All the food was great. Service was good, people was nice. Pricing is not bad. One item 1/2 price each day. We had pho combination , it was very tasty, lots of flavor. The dumplings were great, nice sauce. The sandwich’s were tasty and full of ingredients. The pad Thai was A+ . I will be back soon. Thank you to all the staff. Give them a try.!!

My fiancé had to leave me here while running over the Canadian border because I didn’t have my passport on me. I’m sitting at the restaurant right now and wanted to leave a review so I could look back and remember which Vietnamese restaurant in this area had this amazing food. The spring rolls, the chicken pad Thai and the chocolate lava cake were absolute magic. This is the best Vietnamese food I think I’ve ever had.

The West Side Bazaar in Buffalo, NY is a diverse food hall that offers a unique culinary experience. One of its popular stalls, 'Abyssinia Ethiopian Stall,' provides an opportunity to savor well-cooked and flavorful Ethiopian dishes. The stall's menu features classic Ethiopian offerings, allowing visitors to explore the distinctive flavors and textures of this cuisine. Additionally, the bazaar is home to various other ethnic culinary delights from places like Lao, Thailand, Burma, and Japan.
A place where you are so spoiled for choice you end up sitting at a well crafted bar formulating your plan of attack because there are so many incredible cuisines in one place it requires serious thought! This is the only problem you’ll have if you visit Wedi, the selection of different cuisines from Jamaican, to Korean, Soul Food and Egyptian really is an invitation to international flavors! An informal setting, more like a food court but with character. I mean, who really wants to have to get dressed for formal settings just to eat quality food?? We left VERY satisfied and with full bags of leftovers because who could choose only one cuisine??!! Honestly treat yourself to something different because this level of dedication to remaining authentic to their culture, and providing such an inviting and friendly level of service seems to be rare in WNY but you can find this in abundance at this location. If you’re tired of greasy EXPENSIVE burgers and limp fries, do your self a favor and get some flavor back into your life!

I stopped by to bust Nathalie at Malkia & Co. that served authentic 🇨🇩 Congolese Cuisine. The chicken was amazing with rice and beans 🫘 The chocolate mousse was very good. everything was good 👍🏾 I would highly recommend. There's other business inside to patronize, so check it out. The ginger 🫚 drink was some of the best that I've had. Be careful of the hot sauce. It's seriously hot 🔥 One Thai is very good and the Cookie Jar's told me I would be back after trying her chicken, she's wasn't lying 😋

Not a bad food court. You might find it not "bustling" enough but I don't mind it at all. Clean, quiet & inviting environment that offers different ethnic food options. I usually come here when I have a longer lunch break. I go to the Thai place, order a quick bite, sit down and chill for a bit afterwards. The community cafe is definitely a neat idea. (Parking by donation across the street)

This place is awesome! I ordered for the first time from Egyptian Bites and BigWayne's Jamaican Cuisine. Both did not disappoint. The owners of each shop are so friendly and their food/portions are so worth the price. The space to eat is also lovely! So many options.

This is a neat little food hall with multiple tasty cuisines. There is Afghan, Jamaican, Egyptian, Korean, Congolese, Soul Food, Chinese, and cookies (dessert). We got the Afghan and Congolese which were both delicious and well worth it. The photo is the Congolese Poulet Braise (braised chicken).

The West Side Bazaar is hands down one of Buffalo’s most unique and vibrant spots. It’s not just a food court—it’s a cultural experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the smells of spices and sizzling dishes from all over the world. I’ve tried East African sambusas, Burmese noodles, and Caribbean jerk chicken—all in one visit—and every bite was full of flavor and love. Each vendor is incredibly friendly and eager to share their story. It’s inspiring to see so many immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs building something from the ground up. You can tell that this place is about more than just food—it’s about opportunity and community. The building itself is really cool too. It’s a refurbished space with an open layout, colorful decor, and communal seating that makes it easy to relax and soak in the atmosphere. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and everything feels made from scratch. If you’re in Buffalo and want something real—authentic food, welcoming people, and a feel-good mission—you’ve got to check this place out. It’s become one of my favorite go-to lunch spots. Highly recommend!

I just found this place and it's amazing. It's a food court with food from around the world. Local immigrants selling wares and food help to add culture and cuisine to our city all while helping local immigrants....what's not to love. The entire place is a lovely creative space. It's open until 8 and sits right on the Niagara street bike path....great place to bring the family

Miss Hot Cafe is a delightful dining spot that truly shines with its bright and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal place for all guests, thanks to its full accessibility. The restaurant offers a diverse seating arrangement to cater to different preferences, ensuring everyone feels comfortable. Its menu boasts an array of dishes, including delectable dim sum and family-style meals that are perfect for sharing.
I ordered take out. It is a great find for hungry stomach . Portion is big! The spicy chicken is tasty but it was a bit too saucy for me. Fried rice were well stir fried with rich ingredients!! For dining exp, the restaurant is spacious and looks clean. The lighting could be brighter for an Asian diner , but acceptable.

I was first introduced to this restaurant when my wife ordered delivery. The food was fine, but I wasn't impressed at the time. The other day, though, we decided to dine in and went a little early to beat the crowds. The waitress was able to serve dinner in quick order so we could appreciate just how great the food is when it is hot and fresh! As for the menu, I appreciate the variety. I just wish the descriptions had mentioned what vegetables came with each dish. As for the atmosphere, it looks like the place was recently renovated - or, at least, kept exceptionally clean. The cushion for the booth could have been a bit softer, but I was otherwise quite comfortable.

This has been a long standing favorite among extended family, they have talked about it for years and I finally got to try it. They did not disappoint. It was a charming little restaurant with the friendliest lady running it. She has such a kind and welcoming smile. The food visually is beautiful. Presented with fresh flowers for garnish, it's almost too pretty to eat. The hot and sour soup was perfectly spiced, everything was delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Perfect. My new go-to. Fully accessible, including bathrooms and dietary adjustments to the food! Parking on-site! The restaurant is clean, bright, beautifully decorated, and there are all sorts of different seating options to choose from. Plenty of room for a banquet or large party, wedding rehearsal dinner, and so on. Family restaurant, warm welcome, service and food were *perfect.* Do yourself a solid and order a pot of hot tea. They use whole green tea leaves and the pot stays hot through the entire meal. Full menu of American Chinese food and traditional Chinese food, including plenty of dim sum dishes. I didn't see what I wanted on the menu but I showed them a picture. They not only made it for me, they taught me the name of the dish so I can ask for it next time! (鲜蔬菜豆腐汤 xiān shūcài dòufu tāng, fresh vegetables and tofu soup) The noodles were perfect consistency, spicy, and every dish is enough for two. I've had a lot of great Chinese home cooking and this place topped them all by miles! I can't wait to go back. Did I mention it was perfect?
S B — Google review
I cannot express enough how AMAZING this place is!! Truly an absolute gem of authentic Shanghai cuisine (as shown by the fact that I was brought here first by Chinese international students who were staying with my family). The whole time we were eating, myself and my parents could not stop raving about how flavorful and enjoyable everything was. I had the vegetable buns and the mapo tofu and this mapo tofu has to have been my favorite I’ve ever had. Every dish was also STUNNING and presented beautifully with such care. It’s a bit on the pricy side, but the portions are huge and everything is so good, I think it is still reasonable. It’s also family run and I would rather give my money to a family-run business like this one. The family who runs it were so nice and clearly passionate about their craft. All this to say, you NEED to go here!! Disregard the reviews about “customer service” from people who don’t have empathy for ESL speakers or for cultural differences and go enjoy some delicious food in a cozy space.

Delicious Vietnamese rice noodles are far ahead of other restaurants. As a repeat customer of their family for so long, they still support the boss as always. Fresh shrimp rolls are also fresh and have a firm taste.

As a native Vietnamese who’s been in the States for 12 years and tried Vietnamese food from different states (CA, VA, MD, PA…) this is by far one of the BEST tasting and authentic restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to dine at. Keep up the good work!!!! I lived 2 and a half hour away but will definitely come back here often :)

Ordered take out! Super easy right on their website, picked it up ourselves. 10/10 recommend the vermicelli, we got the combo (shrimp, pork, and egg roll) and one with sausage. (I add an extra pork skewer to mine.. it's worth it!!) As well as two spring rolls, a shrimp and sausage. I've been coming here for years, and it's always great!

Pho Waves Restaurant is a popular Vietnamese restaurant that offers fresh and delicious food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is beautifully designed and the service is friendly and attentive. While it can be busy during peak hours, the waitstaff are able to cope well. The Papaya Salad was especially delicious.
So delicious!! First thing I noticed was the beautiful presentation, that the nigiri were wraped with a strip of seaweed. May be a small touch but most places do not do the little things. Another small thing that mattered to me was that they used a higher quality brand of chopsticks than most. Back to the food, the Salmon Hand Roll was something I had never tried before, and I do think I will stick with regular rolls and nigiri but it was good! Seems portable, held up well and very tasty. The Miso Soup was great, came hot, and the tofu was the perfect consistency. The two types of nigiri I got were salmon and crabstick, both of them tasted really delicious. The rice was packed together so it wouldn't fall apart, but not so much it would be tough. Will be ordering again. :)
Katy P — Google review
The lighting was nonexistent, and the restaurant was completely empty Sat night. Don't come here for any authentic flavors... food was extremely bland. No salt on fried chicken wings. Pho didn't have much depth or flavor to it. Banh Mi, while I asked for grilled pork, was char siu without any crust. There was also no pate on the bread, which was also untoasted. Long story short, service is fine. Food is bad. Would not come back or recommend anyone here for any reason.
Joe V — Google review
Upon arriving during lunch hour on a Friday I see just two other customers in the restaurant. I'm promptly seated to my table and offered the menu. I look at my table and it's decorated with the ocean and a giant sea turtle. What I might expect at Sea World or a seafood restaurant, not a restaurant specializing in Vietnamese Pho. The waiter was attentive and capable. I ordered the $12 lunch special of Chicken and Avocado Salad. (pictures included) The salad was delicious *despite* bathing in salad dressing. It was soaking in it. Perhaps lightly dressing the salad in the kitchen and providing the customer with the remaining dressing on the side would be a better option? Now, more on ambience. It's 1pm and I'm trying to enjoy a relaxing lunch. But Miami Beach Spring Break-esque hip-hop and rap thud-thud-thud throughout the restaurant. Maybe a favorite of the kitchen workers but not a favorite of mine Or was like we were gearing up for the cluuub. There's much better ambient music chooses for a professional dining experience. Just because of the thump-thump-thumps while I'm trying to eat I probably wouldn't return. It was fine if it were happy hour at the bar or club but not at 1pm on a lunch hour workday. The restaurant decor and menu seems to go everywhere without a clear main focus. I thought I was going to a Vietnamese restaurant for Pho but they had entries on the menu claiming to be Japanese and Thai. My chicken salad was basic California Chicken atop a bed of greens garnished with avocado with a non-descript salad dressing that the chef couldn't tell the food server anything but "avocado and Thai dressing." What does that mean? I saw no avocado cream in the dressing. It was oil based.

Went in for an early dinner/late lunch with my family...was not expecting such a beautiful interior! The food was great and so was the service (even if we were the only ones inside). Don't be fooled by the exterior. Waves was a delightful eating experience.

Great concept, great price, really love the tablet idea. The decor is incredibly well done. Hits: Variety Ease of use Price for all you can eat includes dessert Misses: Anything labeled vegan/vegetarian most likely isn't The tablet looked like it needed some wiping down

This place has been open for 7 months, this was my first time there and will definitely not be the last. The ordering system using a tablet, is very cool. The food is served fresh and super fast. I definitely think the AYCE is worth the price ten times. Beautiful atmosphere and a large variety of great food.
Harland K — Google review
I was initially disappointed since we were expecting the all you can eat menu they used to have. But, everything we ordered was quite good including the fiery udon noodles with veggies (though I wanted it with steamed tofu and the waitress said no so I only had the veggies), the white tuna sushi pizza, and a surprisingly large seaweed salad that was unusual in that it had lots of iceburg lettuce and some dried cranberries in additional to a generous serving of seaweed. I hope it survives because of the reasonable pricing, fresh, well prepared dishes, spacious, somewhat artful decor, and good service.

I’m new to BUFFALO. The menu looked decent so I thought I’d give this place a shot. And omfg do I regret it. Idk how y’all western New Yorkers do SUSHI but that definitely ain’t it. Don’t even get me started on the PHO. Broth was cold. Noodles soggy. Meat almost shredded and meatballs thinly sliced. Took one bite and immediately walked out. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Brought up the issue with the store manager and instead of apologizing for the bad food she laughed it off had the audacity to charge me the full amount. Idk how a restaurant in the heart is downtown serving food like this is still in business.

If you're in the Buffalo, NY area and craving a delightful culinary experience, look no further than the Friendly Chinese Buffet. Nestled within a shopping mall, this buffet offers an extensive array of Chinese dishes alongside sushi selections that are sure to please any palate. The dim sum here is particularly noteworthy; you can't miss the fresh shrimp dumplings and flavorful pork buns that have become favorites among patrons. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, making it perfect for families or casual dining with friends.
When in the Buffalo NY area, this is my go-to Chinese buffet and well worth the drive and value. It's approximately $20 US for lunch per person but yet still a lot cheaper than Mandarin - even with Canadian currency exchange . Food is always fresh and has a good selection of appetizers, entrees, main course and desserts. Staff is friendly and refills are always free.

To start my Coke was brought to me with a fortune cookie paper stuck on the inside of the glass. Was more difficult than you’d have thought to get a replacement. Next I was super frustrated to hear the one hostess telling incoming guests at 2:45/2:50pm that they have to pay the dinner price (website states that as long as you’re seated by 3pm and check out by 3:30 it’s still lunch). When I heard another guest question her about it, realized that the clock they have on the wall is set about 10 mins ahead (honest mistake or sneaky tactic, who knows). But what is still bothering me THREE DAYS later is that when I paid for my meal, they put an additional $10 hold on my card. When I went back to ask about it (assuming they’d mischarged me and would refund me), they got really nasty with me and said that “we’ll still be here” and to come back in a few days if it doesn’t get released. So warning- if you’ve budgeted for a meal out, don’t be surprised if you get caught short because they charge an additional hold. Needless to say I won’t be going back.

Very good food very good selection good service however, no one understands and can communicate in English very well. I came with two guests and I did not eat only had a Diet Coke and ice water, I wasn’t feeling very well, and decided not to eat when we went up to pay the receipt had three on it it was no big deal. I would just tell the guy at the register so I thought, but the lady who took over the register, could not speak English, and did not understand what I was trying to tell her, and then she started to argue with me and insulted me and just the whole thing so we won’t be going back there for quite a while last month. We went there five times without incident.

Today I went with my son and my father to eat here for dinner. First of all we got 1 plate, we sat an started to eat. Then we were getting disturbed by someone who worked there it was a tall man, blonde hair. Started to pretty much harass my 2 year old son. Saying rude things to him, leaning over me and my father’s shoulder. Wouldn’t leave us alone what so ever the entire time we were there. Then we decided to pay because we felt beyond uncomfortable that he wouldn’t leave us alone and he wouldn’t leave MY 2 YEAR OLD SON alone. Once we paid. The waiter pretty much boxed us is so we pretty much had to push our way out. Then once we were up and walking away the man with the blonde hair started to follow me and my son and said more things. We always loved going here but after today absolutely not. I have never ever felt more uncomfortable in my life somewhere that I took my family too. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Bad, bad, the sushi was not at temperature and it stinks of rottenness. The shrimp was cold, it was hot, and well, I didn't eat well, and after I left with a strong stomach ache and vomiting, I won't eat there again. Amazing food, welcoming and friendly service!! The food comes plated beautifully. I got the shrimp Pa-Ram, perfectly nutty, sweet, savory, spiced to my liking, and had lots of peanuts which made the dish delicious! The Thai tea was great as well. Absolute home run, this was the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in the Buffalo area. You can really tell they care about providing a great experience in all aspects. :) For those with dietary restrictions, and other modification needs, the menu is clearly marked. Otherwise, staffing is knowledgeable about the menu and can help you out.

I've been here multiple times. I've followed them from their Elmwood location. The food is always fresh and delicious. Service is always fast and friendly. I love that they have outdoor seating for the summer too. They offer a lot of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options. We got the chicken satay, crab ragoon and tofu apps. We also got the chicken pud Thai, pineapple fried rice with tofu and chicken and the Thai fried rice with beef. Everything was delicious.

Everything we ordered has very authentic taste. I loved their tea leaf salad and papaya salad. For curry, pannang curry was really good. Overall 9.5/10 for taste and authenticity of food. Must visit place in Buffalo, NY.

Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Staff 10/10 Traditional Asian vibe, spacious, and welcoming. We had 3 different lunch specials today. LOVE LOVE LOVE Will be back soon!
Ojoswi B — Google review
Restaurant was clean, the one girl working was very kind and accommodating, she checked with the cook to make sure things did not contain fish sauce and other animal ingredients (vegan). I had the yellow curry and it was tasty. The only thing that I would say was a negative - the menu no longer has Indian options like samosa and they also did not have sushi. Options were mostly Thai and Chinese. It would also be great and make it easier if things were labeled whether they are vegetarian and/or vegan so the server doesn’t have to check.

Found this hidden jewel, so close to home and I’m glad I got the chance to visit and share with my sweet and beautiful friends. This is a lovely all things Asian , family restaurant with Saw the amazing owner waiting on you hand and foot. He was so inviting, attentive, warm and friendly while we had our lunch. The food was super delicious and fresh. The complimentary items were a delightful miso soup and bottles of water on the house. No where else could you get that kind of compliments today. The prices are more than reasonable and the amount of food portions is excellent. I had the black dragon rolls as I am a lover of sushi , in addition to that I had a shared seaweed salad with sesame dressing- delicious. I’m going to bring my girlfriends here and highly recommend this local restaurant to everyone. It’s such a shame that so many of our family establishments have disappeared and been replaced by chains- to each his own. Let us support our local community and our eateries. Taste of Asia is certainly worth the trip and I will be returning to make it one of my favorites. Thank you Saw- I have seen you and appreciate your hospitality.

Where should I begin? My experience at this restaurant was absolutely phenomenal. From booking the reservation for my 25th birthday to arrival, the entire process was seamless and pleasant. My friends and I were offered a private dining room with a TV to play music while we ate and celebrated this new chapter of my life. Every food item was flavorful, fresh, and made to perfection when it came out. We came in hungry and left completely full before heading to the club. The owner’s son is so polite and professional. While we were wrapping things up and preparing to cash out, the owner paid us a surprise visit and sung happy birthday to me. He even bought me a delicious birthday cake with my name! I was completely blown away. He told me the that he could sense my positive energy over the phone when I booked my reservation, and he wanted to make my day special; which he did. I felt so loved ❤️ I give this place a 100000/10. We’ll definitely be back again for the authentic Asian fusion cuisine!
Antione H — Google review
The positive reviews are spot on! This is an amazing fusion Asian restaurant! The owner is warm, accommodating and generous. The food is delicious! The Pad Thai was cooked perfectly with a lot of meat. The poke bowl was a steal and tasted amazing. Only wish more customers came here! Will return for sure. Perfect experience!

Had the loveliest time here with the kindest and most hospitable server! The food was so good! We had the tom yum soup, pad thai with tofu, green curry, spring rolls, and the veggie delight. I would highly recommend this place especially since we were the last people they served for the day and they had sizeable portions too! Would definitely recommend this place 🥹💖 I am gonna start crying just thinking about how kind they were ☃️🎄 Merry Christmas indeed!

Ming Café is a small, cozy chinese restaurant in the heart of downtown. Their menu offers a variety of flavors and their noodles are some of the best in town. The prices are reasonable, but the food can be a bit pricey.
Great food! For the price the food is worth it! Very good flavors, satisfying!

Ming Café is cozy and has variety on the menu. The noodle dishes are so flavorful. You can tell each dish is made with care. If you don't like onions, let them know if you order sweet and sour chicken.
Ev G — Google review
Never know when they will be open or closed. I heard some good reviews. We use to go to May Jen but they closed for Good I think. Too bad. But I went to Ming`s for take out. Got one order of beef and broccoli and one order of mango chicken. Plus two spring rolls. It shocked me that it came to $45 dollars. Wow!! So I paid and took the food home and ate it. If I could give just the food a rating, I would give it 5 stars. Very delicious. Fresh and good size. But the price was a bit too much for me. So only 4 stars.
Fafhrd27 — Google review
Quality of food was high but if you’re in a hurry to eat or get somewhere this isn’t the place. Arrived at 7pm. Received our order at 8:15pm. One woman taking orders and waiting tables and one guy cooking. Other aspect is its cash only. And $7 for 1 pot of black tea. Again food quality was high. But pricy. For three people that split 2 dishes plus rice including tip $73 bucks. Next time we’ll get take out and order 1.5 hours before we eat.
Frank W — Google review
This restaurant did have very nice ambition, but that’s about it. I was gonna give 3 stars out of sympathy. But that thought went away after 1 hour of waiting without a sorry. There are things worth waiting for an hour in your life; there are food worthy paying more than usual; you can find NEITHER in this restaurant. Very disappointed. Would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Tin Tin Chinese Restaurant is a delightful gem that specializes in serving up comforting and authentic Chinese dishes, perfect for both dining in and taking out. With a menu brimming with favorites like Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, lo mein, egg rolls, and the ever-popular General Tso Chicken, there's something to satisfy every craving. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients and delivering generous portions at wallet-friendly prices.
After looking at some photos of the food and seeing how it’s similar to my family’s restaurant, I decided to give it a try. It’s amazing! Tastes like home. For a cheap price, they’ll fill your box up to the top and leave you full and satisfied. Highly recommend checking this place out! I’ll definitely come back for more.

This was DELICIOUS. I’m from Ohio, and this place was cheaper but even better than my favorite place where I live. I tried to do some research on the best Chinese takeout spots around and this is what a bunch of people recommended, they were right. It’s too bad I probably won’t be back to Buffalo any time soon, I’d definitely be coming here often. We stopped in and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. And the man working the register was so kind too! :)

They actually have great Chinese food and it tastes better than other restaurants. This one is the best near the area in my opinion. Chicken wings have flavor, the rice has flavor and so does the brown sauce for the shrimp and broccoli. Overall great quality food.

Chin Hills Restaurant is a cozy Korean spot that's popular among locals for its traditional Sundubu dish, featuring firm yet soft tofu cooked in a spicy meat broth. The restaurant offers a variety of Korean selections, including veggie jjigae and flavorful banchan. While the service may be slow due to its small operation, the delicious food makes it worth the wait. The unassuming exterior hides a gem where all dishes are cooked properly and served hot.

a great food with a very cheap price in my opinion. was a bit unsure with the front of the restaurant, but i was far from disappointed when i finally scooped the kimchi jiggae. they serve a great jjangmyeon and pajeon too. the old guy was alone serving all of the customers so it might take some time, but the food came out quick enough. definitely check this restaurant out!

Excellent food! Not sure how safe it is to eat their crab meat though because my sister ordered a seafood hot pot and the crab meat was a dark gray. Other than that, everything else is delicious. I got the soondubu. Pretty good. Loved the emoji mushrooms inside, and the other vegetables were perfectly cooked as well.

The service is ridiculous and awful. We were trying to get a box to pack our food, but the owner is missing. I found that he was in the kitchen, so I stood near the kitchen door and politely asked him, “can I have a box?” But suddenly he came out and yelled at us, say that this was stuff only and we should not enter. But we didn’t even get in the door??? BTW the food is just so so.

One standout dish is their hot and sour soup, which comes highly recommended by patrons who rave about its flavor.
Don't eat in shop since covid but they are freindly but busy people. They have always made us wonderful food with good portions. Been eating here in for years. Still my go to for quick and delicious.

They have some of the best hot and sour soup!!! I very highly recommend it, but do note that the crispy noodles on the side are pre-packaged and not refried and warm like some places do. Almost everything I've tried here is good, however I do not care for the sweet and sour chicken because it's too much dough in breading and I prefer a lighter for fluffy coating. Also the crab rangoons are a bit on the small side in my opinion.

CEPA Gallery, also known as the Contemporary Photography and Visual Arts Center, is an internationally recognized arts center located in Buffalo's Market Arcade Complex. The gallery commissions artists to create new work and hosts workshops for both youth and adults. Additionally, CEPA Gallery holds changing exhibitions, multi-media public art installations, receptions, lectures, screenings, fundraisers, and auctions.
Smh. Why did it take me so long to check out this amazing art space. The basement gallery downstairs was a pleasant surprise. And we were lucky to catch the artist talk. It's very clear that this place and the people behind it are very special. We booked our visit online, in advance.

Thanks for ruining my photography career!! After 11 years with the organization, I moved on from this place, due to new staff that decline my work hours and I got fired as a teaching artist in June 2023. I eventually quit photography recently this year after 10 years as a hobby, not a career. I have now suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) the way they treated me over the last 2 years, and I suggest you to avoid this place ever, as the worst photography resources next to City Honors School. My final say to you is, Thanks for nothing!!
Joseph P — Google review
A little hard to find; unless you are familiar with the area. Parking is a pain ( you have to pay to park). There is so many levels to the gallery it's self but again unless you are familiar with the building and it's layout it can be a bit tricky to navigate without a tour guide. The instructors themselves are phanamol and the shows they host are amazing!! I have yet to be disappointed!

Their food delivery service makes it easy to enjoy these delicious meals from the comfort of home. Diners rave about the quality of dishes such as pepper steak, Kung Pao chicken, and fried rice—each prepared with care and bursting with flavor.
I just started going to this place. My first order was pepper steak and Mei Fun house special. It was so good I had to go back and try the Kung Pow Chicken. I have been to many Chinese food places throughout Buffalo and this one is exceptional! Very good food! While looking through the reviews, someone mentioned that there is no pork in the "pork fried rice" they ordered. I thought the same thing, however, when I went back hours later to eat the other half of my food I noticed the pork in the pork fried rice is NOT red! No, it's a natural pork color. So the "Pork Fried Rice" does have pork in there!

DONT COME HERE!!!! if you come, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life. The food tasted like it came from a dumpster and they put spices that tasted like it was 100 years old. Not to mention the price is very unreasonable. It wouldve been better to eat food off the road than eat here. the price was 15 dollars just to eat a disgusting meal. not coming here a second time!!!

Food was actually some of the better Chinese food that I’ve had in Buffalo. I got chicken lo mein, fried chicken rice, orange chicken, and vegetable spring rolls and everything was very good. Orange chicken were large chicken chunks. Lo mein very good and the fried chicken rice was very good was yellow rice and really liked it. Service was great and right to the point. Atmosphere was horrible but this is mostly a takeout place so it’s not supposed to be the most fine decor.

Taisho Bistro Japanese Izakaya Buffalo offers a wide range of classic and unique Japanese dishes, such as sushi, ramen, and hibachi meals. The restaurant features a cozy atmosphere with a traditional Japanese Izakaya setting, including a sushi bar, sit-down area, and private hibachi rooms. The ambiance is reminiscent of dining in a Tokyo back alley with warm washcloths, hanging paper lanterns, and daruma dolls.
I've actually been here 2 nights in a row but I forgot to take pics the first night. But both nights the food has been GREAT. I got a different variety of things and not 1 thing was bad at all. The staff was really nice and very helpful in explaining the menu to me. The wait wasn't long at all. The packing of the food was good as well.

The slices of fish in our orders have been getting thinner. We order take-out frequently and typically get salmon and yellowtail sashimi. Sashimi quality is always great, ikura was fishy. Before pictures from April vs. now. Edit: Added one star for courteous response from the restaurant. Hope to see improvements in consistency in the future. Edit 2 9/11/25: Back to thick slabs of sashimi, notice how it takes up two trays for five orders of sashimi. Amazing.

I only visited buffalo for a few short months but within that time I've had the pleasure of experiencing the best foodie environments I could have ever . Taisho is located in a wonderful area and quite easily accessible. The atmosphere is clean pleasantly lit and populated with only the kindest of people. I was greeted immediately and sat in a booth. I ordered just water to drink But to start a simple ginger dressing salad and the baby octopus app. Each was brought quickly with grand attention to plating detail. For my mid the best eel roll as they call it and the flying fish roll alla carte. The ingredients were fresh and once again the presentation amazing . Plenty of flavor and exceeded my expectations. To be quite honest I thought of buying one more plate to finish but couldn't finish one more bite. Overall I would definitely give Taisho bistro a 10/10 and if I ever come back to buffalo I will most definitely visit this wonderful Japanese escape.

Taisho Bistro is an absolute 10/10 for Japanese cuisine lovers! The food is not only incredible but from the politeness of the staff, to the beautifully decorated atmosphere, Taisho is one of the best most authentic places in Buffalo!! I always get the teriyaki bento box because you get alittle of everything and with the traditional Japanese beer you cant go wrong, but if you like sushi/sashimi too this is definitely the place to go!! Thanks Taisho!❤

I went at 5:30 so atmosphere might be different based on times, but everything was chill, the waiter was attentive and the food was excellent. Not a place to come if in a hurry though they make everything fresh and that does take some time worth it if wanting a relaxing meal.

I've never written a review before, but I felt it may be necessary for Taisho. This Izakaya really is amazing! The food is crafted with love and the drinks are always delicious. I visit this restaurant monthly. Honestly, there is normally something wrong, whether it is getting the drinks, or the food itself, but it is genuinely so human I find it impossible to be angry. These beautiful people are so filled with remorse and regret when service is short of perfection it just makes me love them so much. They are 100% down to have a good time and drink 1 shot or two with you every time I have gone. I recommend this place, solely based on my experience of a genuinely laid back, stress free time. Taisho really embodies Izakaya, a relaxed place to drink and eat good food to decompress after work. If any of you guys working read this, KANPAI until next time! ❤️

I'm updating my review due to the fast response of the manager. I've had good experiences up until this last delivery. I'm going to chalk it up to a Doordash issue... Katsu Don has, in the past, been in a single container and was: rice, egg, and one cutlet with sauce on the side. Today I got two cutlets and a wee bit of rice. It was dry as heck but the cutlet was cooked well. No more Doordash for a while I think. Try the okonomiyaki if you dine in.

Restaurant
Buffalo Little Lamb, situated in Amherst, NY, offers a diverse menu of Chinese and Korean cuisine. Guests can enjoy a hot pot buffet for $26 or opt for the brunch buffet priced at $11. The restaurant is known for its friendly staff and clean environment. Diners have praised the delicious food and recommended trying the varied ingredients available, including frog legs. This spot is perfect for anyone who enjoys noodle bowls and wants to try something new with an interactive dining experience.
First hotpot experience ever! The servers were so patient and informative of how it all worked. Huge selection of fresh veggies and tofu which is perfect for me since I am vegetarian. My boyfriend loves their steak and the fish/pork balls. Making your own sauce to dip in is definitely my favorite part! Many broths to choose from as well and I really like that you can do split pots even if it’s only two people since my bf eats meat and I do not. Different sake and soju to try and were delicious! Ambiance is welcoming and the music/ led screen playing music videos is fun but not too loud. Very clean whenever we go, as well as the bathrooms smelling fresh. Any negative reviews about the service must’ve missed the huge “call” button at each table if you need anything or want to order more the employees come right away. We never end up even needing the call button. Overall the service was immaculate and we were constantly being checked on by all three employees which made us felt so cared for. Can’t recommend this place enough and it’s our new favorite spot!

Good place for buffet. I came here on Sunday around 1PM and took the brunch buffet. There aren’t too many options but food is decent and got filled often. I like that they have soy milk. The cake dessert is also very soft. The fried chicken is also good. Other food is a bit salty in my opinion. The restaurant is clean and staffs are friendly. Price is affordable

I don’t know if their quality went down when they changed how they do the all you can eat but wow what a time we had today. Nobody checked on us basically ever. They were out of the only things I wanted to eat basically for like 45 minutes and by then everyone else was done and of course I’m still paying the all you can eat price but I don’t even get to eat all I want to eat. Just such poor service today. I used to recommend this place to everyone but after the meal I had today I won’t be. Maybe I’ll come back because the food is great usually but yikes!!!! Not good today! Very upset.

We enjoyed our meal here. The food was good and the experience of it all is fun. Lots of kitchen dishes to choose from if you are not into the hot pot as well. All were plentiful and delicious. The hot pots are huge and can feed at least 2 off of one pot. If you are sharing, make sure you enjoy the same spices as you personalize each broth with the variety of ingredients at the sauce bar. Otherwise get your own broth and share the meat and veggies. I recommend going when they offer all you can eat as it can get a little pricey depending on what you order. Great conversation fun at Buffalo Little Lamb Hot Pot.

My husband love to go there. He love hot pot but I don’t eat beef or pork I used to order other stuff. He used to eat all you can eat hot pot now they have beer free too😁. I love to eat eggs plant dish. They never disappoint us.
Esther O — Google review
I went to this restaurant with my family, including several young children who are not familiar with eating hotpot. To accommodate them, I ordered additional rice and roast duck. While we were waiting for the food, one of the kids picked up a piece of uncooked instant noodle (not used in the hotpot yet) and was about to cut it when a staff member immediately showed a bad attitude and insisted that we had to pay extra because the children were “also eating hotpot,” even though we did not order an additional hotpot portion. I was very disappointed with this kind of service. Instead of assisting us politely, the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. Situations like this could be handled with flexibility and courtesy, especially when children are involved. I hope the restaurant can improve its customer service, especially when serving families with kids. Respectful and professional service is key to a good dining experience.

Hot pot is so enjoyable and delicious! We went in a big group and ordered a lot of food. We loved it and you can create your own sauces. I wish they had more choices for the hot pot soup. But overall 5 stars for the food and service.

Authentic Chinese food! Delicious! Incredibly fast service. Free hot tea available when dining in. A great selection of vegetarian options. Super crispy fried tofu! Love any dish with eggplant also!

Authentic and delicious Chinese food. The Northeastern dishes are excellent, and the lady boss is warm, friendly, and beautiful. The dumplings are handmade, with generous filling and juicy broth. The pickled cabbage is homemade and naturally fermented.
Zhen A — Google review
Home Taste is my go-to spot for delicious dumplings! I’ve tried every variety they offer—shrimp and pork, Napa cabbage, and more—and each one is always amazing. You get a generous portion for the price, and the quality never disappoints. On my last visit, I tried the green beans with pork tenderloin for the first time, and they were phenomenal—flavorful and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and the service is always friendly. It’s a great local spot, and I’m always happy to return. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Just not my speed. Only thing that was bad was the ramen. The meat was tough and the broth was bland. I added salt and chili paste to make it palatable. The General Tso Chicken wasn’t what I was expecting at all. It was a sour sauce and no spice. It didn’t taste bad just not what I wanted. I asked for crispy chicken and it was soggy. Literally one piece of broccoli. Crab Rangoon was good but the sauce was not. I would have taken it back but didn’t want to go back out in the rain.
Rhonda T — Google review
Whole in the wall place with authentic Chinese food in Kenmore. The scallion pancakes and spicy chicken were the stars of the show. Dumplings were good and the steam buns were tasty, but could have used a little more filling. Fair prices and the food doesn't take too long to be made.

Detour 15 min from freeway. Actual price about $0.5 to $1 higher than the menu. Food tasted ok. But 韭菜盒子 really disappointing. So small.

Great little place with amazing food and friendly service. Based on other reviews, we ordered the spicy chicken w. Red peppers (n.43). It was delicious! I hate saucy chicken dishes, and this was perfect. No sauce, perfect amount of spice, crunch and saltiness. We also ordered n.42(shredded pork and scallions) which was so delicious and a cozy dish. The dumplings and buns were also great! Remember to order your steamed rice separately as the dishes do not come with it. Will be back!

Golden Garden Restaurant is a delightful gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. Renowned for its delectable Dim Sum, this eatery serves up generous portions that leave diners satisfied. The lo mein and sweet and sour chicken are particularly noteworthy, with the latter boasting a perfect crispy exterior. While some fried dumplings may not be as crispy as desired, they remain an affordable treat that can easily be revived at home.
The absolute best Chinese I've had in a long time. The ribs and teyiaki chicken were delicious and tender. Great pork fried rice. Very fresh and giant homemade eggrolls. This is our new 'go-to' Chinese place.

I will NEVER order anything from this place again. Your delivery personnel are just abominable!! This person sat across in front of my house for no less than 20 minutes...get this.... EXPECTING ME TO GET OUT AND CROSS THE STREET AND GO TO HIM!!!! He is a nasty person with NO people skills at all. Get rid of him!!!

I stopped by today to grab something quick on my way home It was the fried chicken wings with pork fried rice An it was Amazing! Very fresh an delicious! I'm very happy! I will definitely be coming back there soon The egg rolls are very good too 🙂 Big portion I'm very full
Human A — Google review
Lo mein was superb; sweet and sour chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside; all of the chicken (general tso's, hunan) was amazing. The fried dumplings weren't crispy enough, but that could be them steaming themselves on the way home, and they're so inexpensive I couldn't be mad. Simple fix to just crispen them up in a pan at home. Great, friendly staff. Cash only, but cash is king, so it's not a big deal, some of the best places to eat are cash only. Food was ready very fast. 9/10 fast food chinese.

The fried rice and chicken had a strong sour smell. It tasted spoiled. Their food used to be good but this isn’t the first time they’ve given me nasty food. Won’t be ordering again

Nestled on Bailey Avenue, King's Wok stands out as a beloved Chinese restaurant that has captured the hearts of many locals. So, my roommates and I attempted to place an order, found a menu online and asked for seafood soup. We were promptly told "no seafood soup" and hung up on. Repeated the process 3 times and were not given the chance to place the rest of the order or change it. After the third time we were told to call back in a half an hour.

Panda Kitchen is a classic Chinese takeout spot that has garnered mixed reviews over the years. While some visitors have noted that the ambiance could use a little sprucing up and that certain dishes like shrimp fried rice and egg foo young may not hit the mark, others rave about their favorites such as lo mein and General's chicken, which are said to be quite tasty.
Me and my husband have been coming here for years, and before that me and my mom would order from here. What ever these comments say that are negative I disagree with. This is the only Chinese take out place I will eat from! Service and food is always incredible. I get the sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice and my husband gets sesame seed chicken.
Amber B — Google review
Food want in the trash bag, nastiest shrimp lo maine I have ever had. Shrimp fried rice 99% rice very very little shrimp dame with the shrimp lo main. Yep will never order there again. Leasoned learned. One of the worst food places we have ordered from in this area. It's a shame so hard to find good Chinese food or any other good places to eat at in this area. Some good pizza places but who wants that every night. Even the Fortune cookies like rubber
Don S — Google review
This the worst Chinese food I ever had if I get sick off this I will sue I promise. This food is disgusting and I’ll probably never eat there again but that’s what I get for not reading the reviews before I went in I mean look at the picture shrimp old sauce brown rice very bad tho only thing that was decent was the eggroll and even that was a solid 2 out of 5 I highly recommend nobody goes here at all big thumbs down 🤢🤮
Greg C — Google review
I never leave bad reviews, but unfortunately I feel the need to this time. I ordered general tso, veggie lo mein, crab Rangoons, and two bottles of Diet Coke from this restaurant off of DoorDash. They refunded me for the lo mein, because I guess it was “out of stock”?! Once I got the food, the crab Rangoons tasted really odd, the general tso tasted old and freezer burned and both of the bottles of Diet Coke were expired back from October of 2023… I didn’t notice until I drank from the bottle and it tasted completely foul. Everything was disgusting. I instantly threw out the entire meal and wasted a lot of money.
Lea S — Google review
I sincerely wish I could give this place less than one star. The pictures provided are my "quart" of Kung Po "chicken", which had less than 8 gross little flabby pieces of meat, about the size of a quarter. The crab rangoons I ordered were smaller than my fortune cookie (which was also stale), and had very little, and sometimes no filling, that was ice cold. Please please please, if you see this review turn away, I've lived in this city for 20 years and have never had worse food than this. Anything you order from anywhere would be better than this.
William B — Google review
One of the worst places I have ever been to never in my life have I got this type of customer service I asked for noodles and got rice and then I went back to get noodle and I didn’t ask for shrimp and they gave me rice and when I called to tell them the manager there lied to me and said this is not the restaurant and when I called again and told him that it was me and he said the noodles doesn’t come with chicken only shrimp which he lied again never in my 20 years of living have I got bad customer like this ever in my life I will never be returning to place as long as I live horrible place to eat would not recommend service is really bad and when I went back to take the rice back he said he would not take it and I had to take to him to get the noodles Just for it to be wrong I would never recommend to anyone and will never be coming back.
Dexz R — Google review
This place is horrible to say the least. So dirty inside. Very cold, I don't think they can afford heat. Shrimp fried rice, horrible. Shrimp egg foo young.. I believer they used dried potatoes to fill them and the egg rolls were so greasy. First, our order was sent out the door to someone else, they told me it wasn't touched. After paying $40.00 I felt robbed. Got home, they called to say they forgot to give us the chicken wings we ordered. I can't eat this food, I am going to have it inspected.
Carol P — Google review
I don't see what all these 1-star reviews are complaining about. This is a pretty typical Chinese takeout joint, not PF Chang's. The flavors are supposed to be mild so you can add condiments to your taste. The decor is going to be outdated and the kitchen is going to be messy. The workers aren't buttering you up like you're local royalty. You're paying <7 dollars for a lunch special, it comes with the territory. I'm eating this place extra high to make their rating closer to what it should be. Pros: They are pretty generous with meat and vegetables in the noodles, low prices, open late, really thick egg drop soup with plenty of yolk (I personally don't like eggs, this was my roommate's compliment) Cons (kind of): the sweet and sour sauce is mostly ketchup. I guess that is typical in some regions, but it is kind of hard to turn it into the sweeter more pineapple-y flavor one might be used to. Not much beverage variety.

Druk Nepali Cuisine Kitchen is a unique restaurant in Buffalo, offering a blend of Bhutanese and Nepalese flavors. The restaurant's location reflects the Himalayan influence on its cuisine. Despite its unassuming appearance, the food is exceptional. Customers praise the rich and flavorful noodle soup broth, delicious fried rice, noodles, samosas, dumplings, and well-seasoned chicken drumsticks.

Among the most aromatic foods I've encountered, and this was my first try at authentic Nepali food and I'm very happy I did. I could not wait to eat on the way home from picking up my take out chicken fried rice, the aroma was heavenly. I've never had this food before, shame on me, it was excellent, fragrant, delicious, and visually pleasing as well. I can't wait to come back and try more. I ate every spec in my bowl.

We had a great dinner at Druk Cuisine Kitchen. Don’t let the small, unassuming dining area fool you - the food is spectacular. We were a table of 4 and ordered one item from each category to share and sample. The noodle soup broth was rich and flavorful. We really enjoyed the fried rice and the fried noodles. The samosas and dumplings were excellent appetizers. The chicken drumsticks were crunchy and well-seasoned. Overall, the food was really well seasoned and you could tell it was prepared with care. Really glad we decided to try out this new place. Would recommend for groups of 5 or less or for take out due to size of their dining space.

Where do I begin...first, we have never had Napali food before. We ordered Chicken chow min, chili fried pork dumplings, samosa chat, and vegetable fried rice. EVERYTHING was so unbelievably good! This is probably the most flavorful food I have ever tasted. Sounds crazy, but it really was an explosion of flavor. If you go on Yelp reviews for this place, there are pictures with the names of the dishes. We found that very helpful. In my mind, I'm already planning my next trip back there! Word of warning, the sauce containers they give with the food are pretty spicy. Don't miss out on this place!

Great food! The momo is fantastic, they are basically dumplings, but are seasoned very well; and the amazing orange sauce is spicy and delicious!!! I've also had their fried rice and their lo mein, both were incredible! Go there, they are worth the wait!!!!

Worst place to eat. Last 2 experiences have been really bad. First time charged me 300$ instead of $30. When i realized had to come back and take the owner to an ATM to get money back. Wasted 3 hours for his mistake. Then, last week i found a dead insect in my veg momos. Disgusting place to eat. Kindly refrain, I saw several other reviews mentioning the unhygienic kitchen they have. The owner and the place is the worst. Please avoid for your own good.

The food was okay. The best part of this place is how late it is open. The old man is nice and friendly. However, the food is not amazing. If you want a late night snack of Indian food this is your place. I haven't tried their Thalia so cannot comment. I only tried the Momo's and felt them to ba alright. Don't get the fried ones. The steamed ones are better.

Ordered on Instacart, which uses Uber Eats. If only I had read the Google reviews first! I was suckered by the BOGO General Tso's and Sesame "Chicken." I never write reviews - and if this was just bad Chinese food like we've all had, I'd say nothing. But, for this place, I'd write to the Attorney General if necessary. Calling what I received "food" is a leap of faith. As others have said, there was ZERO chicken (and I cut open many pieces with kitchen shears). In the pictures, I put a toothpick next to what might be meat -- black and crusty bits, smaller than a pea. And the deep fried dough chewed like a car tire. Beyond gross.
Gregg M — Google review
Yesterday I ordered a beef with Chinese kale in Uber. Your promotion is buy one get one free. I only received one. I didn't receive 2. I contacted the platform but they didn't handle the problem. If you can't do that, don't add this promotion because I ordered it just for this promotion.
Lin Z — Google review
Ordered sesame chicken and general tso, received the worst interpretation of both I've ever had. There was almost no chicken, was 99% batter and the sauces were super thin. I've ordered from here before and it was average, but this was TERRIBLE! I don't write reviews and I've never thrown out takeout, but this place is exceptional in that regard. Absolutely unpalatable and intentionally made such to reduce cost and abuse customers. I'm reporting this restaurant to the service platforms because there's absolutely no way any person could make such bad "food" without knowingly seeking to defraud the consumer. I eat out very rarely, maybe once a month or two -- thank you for making my experience unforgettable. Feel free to reach out to me for a refund, but given the consistency of similar reviews -- it seems obvious whoever is in charge of the kitchen here should suffer for their crimes against humanity.

This was hands-down by far by 50+ years of existence the worst food order I have ever experienced and I’ve traveled all over the world. I’ve been in hundreds of hotels and hundreds of different restaurants and had hundreds of different delivery experiences. It was delivered by Uber eats which was fine. The Uber driver was great. The food itself uneditable if I could communicate to the Board of Health to shut this restaurant down immediately I would it was beyond edible. I only ate a couple of things of the rice. I had to throw the rest away. The chicken was not chewable. It smelled bad. It was horrendous. Whatever you do do not order from this restaurant. It was a -10. I hope they close their food was despicable.
Dewey W — Google review
I ordered off uber eats and so ive never been in the place but I ordered shrimp fried rice and chicken wings with the 2 for 1 dumplings. The chicken was flavorless the rice was the same they DIDNT put the shrimp in the dam rice and i paid 34$ for that I promise u i will never look in the direction of china max again idk if it was the only thing in this earth left to eat i will never in my life AND on top of the no flavor there was LETTUCE in my food random lettuce like wth thats disgusting made me not even want the food 34$ down the drain well 10 because the refunded me 19$ back so 🤷🏽‍♀️
Briana W — Google review
I ordered delivery. The food was cold. The sesame chicken had no chicken, a lot of the pieces are all breading and if there’s chicken, it was chicken jerky. I called and the worker said that’s the way they make it (all breading). She said if I don’t like the food, I can call Ubereat. That’s the solution. Chinese takeout dishes like the sesame chicken often have too much breading but this was mostly breading with MOST of the pieces ALL breading, it was inedible and very disappointing.
Wong J — Google review
This food is HORRIBLE! I have never had such tasteless food from a Chinese restaurant in my life! The chicken has absolutely no taste whatsoever the rice is brown and tasteless as well and everything looks burnt or like it was prepared in old oil. I opened the box and was immediately dissatisfied. Just shut the place down at this point I’m disgusted. It’s so upsetting to be craving something and it turns out it’s DISGUSTING and unpleasant.

Got the fried black pepper beef dumplings and steamed sambal chicken dumplings. Both were excellent and filled with meat unlike most dumpling spots which tend to use more fillers. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very glad we got a chance to try this. Would defintley come back again.

Wasn't going to write a review as it seemed like someone was just having an off-day and I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Until both my fiancée and I were up most of the night ill. Let's start with the good, both the cabbage and chicken steamed dumplings were tasty. The one lady working seemed personable and genuinely apologetic that it took later than expected for food to come out. However... The Sambal chicken and black pepper beef dumplings were tiny, burnt, inconsistently filled, and tasted like old fryer grease. The noodle dish we ordered was missing as well. I saw the photos of the dumplings which are my favorite category of foodstuff and was so excited, and a little scared for my own safety, to move so close to a dumpling joint. Up until we were ill, I would've given it a second chance.

Let me tell you! I’m so excited that I found this place, even with their limited hours it doesn’t matter, these dumplings are on point! I bought so many frozen ones to bring home, and I just cooked my first set of sesame seed dumplings, and I cooked them in the air fryer and they’re super delicious, but now I need a steamer because now I want to steam the rest of my dumplings lol!! The owner was kind and gracious to me. She treated me as if I was someone she had known for years. I will definitely be going back, and my only complaint is that I wish they were open full-time and a full service restaurant. I would be there weekly! Much love to the owner!!

These dumplings are amazing! I've had all of the flavors, and it's hard to pick a favorite - the sesame chicken is delicious & the buffalo chicken is a true Buffalo classic! I absolutely love Moneybags Dumplings! I feel the need to get them whenever they’re available at an outdoor market, and I almost always keep them in the house as a freezer item in case dinner doesn’t go as planned or to even add onto another another dish! If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than China Jade. This charming takeout spot may not boast an extravagant storefront, but it more than makes up for it with its friendly atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is exceptionally welcoming, creating a warm environment that’s often hard to find in typical Chinese takeout places. While the prices are incredibly reasonable—especially their lunch specials—the fried rice could use a little extra flavor to elevate your meal.

Taste of Thai offers generous portions of Thai cuisine in a dimly lit setting with red walls. The restaurant has lunch specials and a BYO policy, making it a good option for both dine-in and take-out. While the atmosphere may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, the focus is on the delicious food, reasonable prices, and good service. Customers particularly enjoy the sesame chicken made with actual breast meat, despite it being slightly more expensive than other options.
Good lunch and take out place. The lunch special menu has really good options and great price. Not the most beautiful atmosphere but we go there for the food, price & service.

Luckily I saw the cockroach before eating it. It was drowned in my green curry. The poor dear. I am sorry, but if this many roaches were found in people's food and on plates, something must be done. The restaurant obviously has not resolved their cockroach issues and should not be serving the public until they can make an attempt to be sanitary. They apologized and refunded the money but they need to do more than that. I think I am going to stick to enjoying Thai food in Thailand ... The food there is amazing, and I didn't find any bugs or whatnot in my food. Peace and love-El

Cockroaches in my food!! The interior was dimly lit and the bathrooms were filthy. The food was not good, but edible - until I saw the cockroach walking across my plate. I immediately stood up and looked around, taking note of another roach on an empty chair at my table. The staff was called over but they did not seem surprised; they did not even apologize. If there are two in the daylight on the table, I cannot imagine how many thousands are crawling around the place. The health department has been notified. I feel badly for all the unsuspecting takeout customers.

i had plenty of thai dishes around the city and this one came to a nightmare! i ordered tom yum soup and came with wonton soup instead, i wonder whos cooking in the back. ithey got right ordered the 2nd time, but i found jet blk hair on my tom yum soup. also the soup was very globbly taste, its supposed to be lightl broth with generous amount of shrimp and squid. the 2nd dish i ordered was pad thai and it was totally inedible because the noodles are so stale u could taste the hardness texture of the noodle, compare to the other restaurant in came out soft and with freshness of the herbs. Futhermore, the service was very poor and unprofessional!!!. we had a heavy set female server didnt even acknowlege us and top of that didnt serve us until literally 20 minutes later. What and whos running that unclassy restaurant? I think they need to enroll "customer service program"!! All in all, we have sources that people who cook in the back is uncleaned, using the leftover dish from other patrons then serving it to the next customers. This place needs to get labor department check. I would never go back again to this low-class restaurant.

Roaches just walking around the place like they own it. Richie who works there was very professional and made sure that our group had his attention. Food was okay but I've had better.

P.F. Chang's is a family-friendly restaurant chain that offers a unique twist on Asian cuisine in a visually stunning setting. The menu has been updated to offer an array of creative and delicious dishes, including lettuce wrap appetizers, Singapore noodles, dynamite roll sushi, and fire and ice dessert. While some diners have experienced long wait times, the exceptional service and delectable cocktails make the experience worthwhile. With options for dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering, P.F.
Had to stop here on a busy workday for some much-needed nourishment, and had a truly wonderful meal with excellent food and service all-around. Love that there are good and healthy vegetarian options available, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. As someone who rarely eats at restaurants, my server Natalie went above and beyond in providing awesome service and checking in without being too persistent or anything. There’s something special and hard to put into words about getting a meal after a busy day, and just being around people and activity in a busy and active mall after seeing some empty ones post-Covid. Appreciate the experience so much more, and happy to see people not staring in front of tv’s and screens and outdoors, interacting with society, and rendering services. Much love to the institution and all parties involved. Thank you so much for the food and service ❤️😇🙏🏾

I visited P.F. Chang’s in Buffalo with high expectations after having a great experience at their Dubai location. Unfortunately, I was disappointed this time, especially with the main dishes. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Dynamite Shrimp, fried rice, noodles, Mongolian Beef, and ribs to start. The BBQ pork spare ribs were the highlight, the sauce was flavorful and the taste was excellent. Mongolian Beef was also quite good. However, the Dynamite Shrimp was just okay, nowhere near the taste and quality I’ve had before. The Kung Pao Chicken and fried rice had an overwhelming oil taste that really took away from the flavors. The service was friendly, but I felt the staff wasn’t very familiar with the menu. Overall, a few items were good, but the visit didn’t live up to the quality I’ve come to expect from P.F. Chang’s.
Ashly R — Google review
My husband and I had the lunch specials here - an app and a smaller size of a main dish. He liked his soup, and my spring roll was okay. My orange chicken was too gingery for my liking, and his Mongolian beef was good but nothing overly special. I also ordered the great wall of chocolate cake since I wanted to celebrate my birthday. It is pricey, but it's a huge slice! I took 90% home and ate it over the next 4 days. It was delighted and I'd likely go back just for that! Please see photo for evidence of the giant slice. I also had a peach Boba black tea drink - very nice and would also recommend. The server we had was very nice, and happy even tho he seemed to be the only one working at the time. 2pm on a weekday seems to be a dead time, but it was perfect for a quiet lunch. Note if you need disability parking, it is further away and you'll have to do a lengthy walk.

Ashton is an amazing and exceptional hostess, helped me both set and prep for my reservation this evening. He ensured our order was correct and took wonderful care of ensuring everything was perfect. Thank you to both of them and they are both valuable and irreplaceable assets to this location!!! 10/10 will be recommending this location to my colleagues and friends. Again thank you Will and Ashton.

Disappointed Long-Time Customer – Declining Quality and Value P.F. Chang’s used to be a staple for solid, classic Chinese food—especially at the Rochester and Buffalo locations. My wife and I were loyal weekly customers, especially for happy hour. The shrimp dumplings were a favorite: $6 for 10 delicious, fresh dumplings. Fast-forward to 2025, and the experience has gone downhill—fast. The rice, which used to be fresh and perfectly cooked in 2024, is now barely edible. It tastes like leftover rice from the day before, clumpy and undercooked, mixed into whatever passes for fried rice. It’s no longer even mediocre—it’s bad. The lo mein we ordered at the Buffalo location recently was soggy and flavorless. It felt rushed and poorly executed, far below what we’ve come to expect from P.F. Chang’s. And the happy hour? Frankly, it’s a joke now. Shrimp dumplings went from $6 for 10 down to $8 for three. That’s not just inflation—that’s price gouging. The value is gone, and so is the quality. We’re incredibly disappointed. This brand used to stand for something better. Sadly, both locations have lost their touch. Until serious improvements are made, we won’t be returning.
Shemar K — Google review
Our server was amazing and very attentive and friendly. The food was great but little details such as straw wrappers and little messes on the carpet were noticed. When I went to the bathroom the toilet paper roll holder was falling off. The wall management should definitely be checking on these little details.

Always happy to come back and enjoy a good time with my family. Great staff and our server Phoebe was helpful, friendly. So happy that you have in the menu the cucumber salad, one of my all time favorites. Love the medium size portion options. Good job!
Carla S — Google review
Very nice looking restaurant, I was hoping for some decent food that was a step up from fast food, but basically this was a typical Chinese restaurant with nicer ambience and a waiter. Tried Kung Pao lunch special and it was overwhelmingly salty with every bite. Fried rice was so greasy and saturated with soy sauce it became soggy instantly. I did not finish my dish and thought about how sad that this place is double the price and half the quality of Panda Express the whole time. Servers were great, but service was slow the last two times I was here when the restaurant was nearly empty. For a nicer sit-down spot I would at least expect not to wait 5 minutes for a host to show up during slow hours.

Lin Restaurant is a popular choice for Burmese cuisine in the heart of Downtown Toronto. The menu features a variety of starters and main dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and spices. The restaurant has recently obtained a liquor license, so you can enjoy a few different beers while you dine. The service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable.
Excellent Thai and Burmese food. A group order and 6 entrees so I had plenty of samples and all dishes were excellent. Very friendly family oriented business. Be sure to look at their specials board. As a bonus very affordable.

I went to Lin's for the ginger salad, which is heavenly -- so fresh, tasty, crunchy, and unique. I decided to try as well the pratha with chickpeas: delicious surprise! Very simple, but hearty and tasty. I was quite full after these two starters and couldn't do justice to the main dish, described in the menu as "like an omlet." Since my last visit, the restaurant has obtained a liquor license and started offering a handful of different beers. The service was extremely friendly and efficient, and the prices were quite affordable. Looking forward to going again.

Lime House Sushi & Ramen in Hamburg, NY, is a delightful culinary gem that has captured the hearts of many food enthusiasts. Initially hesitant due to limited options for those with seafood allergies, one visitor returned after discovering their new chicken menu and was thrilled by the tempura chicken burrito and refreshing boba drinks. The restaurant is known for its generous ramen bowls that have received rave reviews from families, especially teenagers who appreciate hearty portions.
The first time I visited the Hamburg, NY location, the menu was very limited for me due to my seafood allergies. so I didn't plan on returning. However, my family loved their ramen bowls and they were huge, which my growing teenage son raved about! ◡̈ After receiving an email recently about their new chicken menu, I stopped by for lunch to try it out. I ordered the tempura chicken burrito and it is amazing, as are their boba drinks! I liked how the roll was made uramaki style. (1st photo - I included photos from my initial visit as well) The atmosphere is modern and the restaurant itself is immaculate. The staff is super friendly, accommodating and helpful for those with food allergies. I only wish it wasn't so pricey. It is family owned and if you have the time, read about the owner's backstory.

Some of the best ramen I've ever had in WNY, the sushi was also outstanding. No staff at the counter/register when I walked in, and it took about 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back. It's a tidy interior, but austere, although it has sit down seating, it's more for a quick bite and not really a dining experience

i love this place! the food is authentic and the volcano roll is to die for! the ramen is amazing and their boba is one to lookout for! the service is also incredible, they gave us a free roll and always say goodbye! if your thinking about going, don’t hesitate!

I moved to the Buffalo area a few years ago and this quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in the entire area. After having to move away I now long for it all the time! Whenever I can visit the area I make sure to stop here. It’s the best ramen I’ve ever had. My go to choice is the coconut ramen with crispy chicken. I visited a couple days ago and noticed their menu is set up a little differently so I don’t remember the other broth I used to get that was originally in the crispy chicken ramen, but I really don’t think you can go wrong here. The flavors are incredible and every sip I found myself saying, “god, this is so good.” The chicken is so flavorful and tender, whoever is cooking does a fantastic job. The sushi and dumplings are just okay in my opinion, but not bad by any means. My most recent visit I was not given the typical utensils (mini ladle and a fork) and I’m not sure if that was an oversight or if you’re supposed to grab the plastic utensils at the counter now, which is what I did. None of the tables were wiped down and there was no AC on. I also got a boba tea as I usually do and the boba was rock hard in the center. I only share this experience because had it been my first visit it may have put me off a bit, and I don’t want to see other people have their first experience subpar and not come back. But I’ve been there so many times and the food is so delicious I really don’t care. I’m a customer for life and I hope this restaurant gets the success it deserves.
Nell — Google review
Crispy chicken Ramen was very good. Also the cucumber Avocado sushi was fresh. Staff is very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable regarding products. We wanted to split the Ramen and they offered us to do that in separate bowls without extra cost

Visited for the first time today and loved the food. Super expensive, as a sushi place should be. I love when a small place refuses to sacrifice quality for better prices. These guys are making amazing sushi and ramen that is worth every dollar. I was not disappointed at all. Although I'm not in the area often, this will be the place I stop when I am. Amazing service too. Everything was prepared very quickly. Can't wait to visit again.

I love to eat at this location. I eat here constantly But as of lately, the service is really been going downhill. You can tell when the owner and the main cook aren’t in. I went into the location 8-1 around 3-4pm and got a crunchy chicken roll besides the crunchy chick roll I’ve had a small bowl of Cheerios with almond milk. I woke up at 2 AM throwing up like a fire hydrant this lasted till nearly 9:30am the next day. My body’s so shot I’ve fainted about 3x now.

I had some guests visiting and we all had a positive experience at this restaurant. We got a chicken, beef, and goat curry. Along with rice and naan. Each curry was delicious but lacked salt, which isn’t bad, we didn’t mind adding salt to our liking. The clay pots that the curry came in definitely added to the experience! Would recommend this place and I will be coming back!
Logan S — Google review
An underwhelming Experience!! Clay Handi fell short of expectations in several areas, leaving me with an underwhelming dining experience. Firstly, the cleanliness of the restaurant was not up to par. This immediately created a negative impression and raised concerns about the overall hygiene standards. Secondly, the service was lacking in attentiveness. The server did not bother to ask where we preferred to have the hot clay pots placed and simply found an empty spot on the table, potentially creating a safety hazard. The food itself was mediocre. I tried the Paneer Tikka Masala and Goat Biryani, both of which were just okay. The flavors were not particularly memorable, and the dishes lacked the richness and depth I was hoping for. However, I must say that eating dinner served in a clay pot was a unique and enjoyable experience. Plus, the mango lassi was fresh and delicious, and they certainly didn't skimp on the portion size. After reading positive reviews online, I had high hopes for Clay Handi. Unfortunately, the reality did not live up to the hype. The combination of subpar cleanliness, inattentive service, and average food made for an underwhelming experience.

I’ve been to this restaurant before, and my first impression was that the place was quite loud and had a strong odor. Be prepared to go straight home and change your clothes afterward, or you’ll end up smelling like curry. As of Friday, April 25, 2025, the restaurant is no longer open for dine-in as it has been demolished for renovation please see the attached photo. For now, they are only offering takeout, so make sure to call ahead and place a pre-order. Many items were unavailable during my visit, for example, both the daal and the anda curry were out of stock. With limited options, I decided to try the malai kofta. Honestly, I would not recommend it. It had a pungent smell and a strong masala flavor, more typical of Pakistani-style cooking. I also ordered butter naan, but they forgot to add the butter, I’m assuming this was an honest mistake. I would consider returning once the renovation is complete, especially to try the daal again, which was amazing the last time. But for the next 3–4 months, dine-in service will be unavailable as the business is temporarily closed for renovations.

Food and atmosphere is good. Service was slow, probably Monday. Chicken Biryani was excellent and will be coming again to try other specialties… Second experience was bad. Under renovation but quality of food has considerably gone down or we are getting used to of good food in GTA.

My first time having Pakistani food, just top notch goodness. So much flavor , chicken tikka masala was phenomenal. Those little bowls of sauces were incredible. I can’t wait for my next visit to try something different. Nice restaurant with easy street parking.

The place serves delicious Pakistani/Afghani food. One should definitely consider visiting while exploring towns around the Niagara Falls. I’d recommend their Chicken Handi and Goat Biryani. Kulfa-Faluda was also decent. Their curries can sometimes ooze excessive oil, wish they could cut it down. The place can get a bit crowded and noisy during rush hours.

The beef lo mein was spectacular, with a sear and plenty of juiciness. The tofu also got a thumbs up for its texture! Will be excited to return soon

I mean, what can I say? I can say that the K Bread feature dish was one of the best breads I've ever had in my life. I say that with no embellishment. Next, the service was impeccable. Dana made sure that any allergy issues were handled to satisfaction. Next, she recommended the hand cut noodles which had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. Seriously, every bite was delicious. I wanted to soak up the remaining juice with a piece of bread, but didn't want to seem gluttonous. I thank her for creating one of the best memories that I've ever had when it comes to food. The speakeasy atmosphere invites you to lounge, converse, and enjoy the time. Please do yourself a favor and come here as soon as you can. If you live outside of Buffalo, I would suggest taking a flight. It's that good.

Service and vibe is stellar. The food was lacking though. I thoroughly enjoyed the dessert and their drinks but their mains are either too salty, too soggy, too mushy. We might have ordered the wrong food but there wasn't much in the selection the begin with. This is also the reason why I am more disappointed with the quality.

Cool place, you wouldn't be able to tell from the outside. Staying in Buffalo by the stadium, there weren't lots of Asian options. Looked on Google maps and found this place. Pho was good. The waitress said it was Laos style Pho. Not a ton of meat in there like you would expect in a typical bowl of Pho. I wasnt too hungry so the medium bowl of pho was filling enough. Small menu, will have to try the stir fry lo mein next time.

We recently dined at K:Dara Noodle Bar and were thoroughly impressed with the experience. As vegans, we were delighted to find a variety of vegan-friendly options on the menu. We ordered the broccoli stir fry and the sprouted bean salad, and both dishes were fantastic. The flavors were vibrant and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Apologies for the picture of my wife’s half-eaten dish. The food was fantastic. My grandson got the tofu stew and said it was amazing. The lady working there gave us a free pear drink and rice and she was so sweet. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here multiple times because it’s that good. It’s run by a family from South Korea and the owner is very friendly. The price is very affordable and the food is incredible. I’ve attached pictures of some of the dishes I’ve gotten and the great 반찬! 김치 찌개, 까드기,김치벆음밥, 오이무침 etc

It’s hard to find a good place with nice and authentic Korean food in Buffalo. Unless you cook for yourself. Amazing food and amazing people. I loved the warm and friendly hospitality and authentic taste. The food was amazing, do check out.

For lunch, we three have ordered Soybean Paste Stew (된장찌개)  , Kimchi Stew (김치찌개)  and Sizzling Stone Pot Bibimbap (돌솥 비빔밥) at around 12:30PM . The owner said she has to charge with dinner price because they have just served the group customers. The food for Kimchi Stew (김치찌개)  and Sizzling Stone Pot Bibimbap (돌솥 비빔밥) were ridiculous. Kimchi Stew (김치찌개) doesn't have meaningful Kimchi. Instead, there were ramen. Sizzling Stone Pot Bibimbap (돌솥 비빔밥) does contain only 3 vegetables (carrot/radish/pumpkin). There were no 콩나물,고사리나물/도라지나물. It was quite different with the image in website. The food appeared to be re-used by left-overs from previous group customers. I have the photos, but the upload was not working right now.

This was very authentic and so cute. The woman serving us was very sweet and kind. We got the Kimchi Stew and the Bulgogi which were both amazing! I definitely recommend!!

The 아줌마 there was very sweet and funny! Compared to the other Korean restaurants in the Buffalo area, I’d say 아리랑 is definitely one of my favorites! I went here with my boyfriend around 7 and there was only one other table being occupied. The servings were very generous! The 아줌마 gave us sour patch kids after taking our order! As we left after paying, she even went outside to catch us before leaving to five us a yakult for each of us! I will definitely be visiting again :)

So delicious!! First time trying this place out after a recommendation from a friend. Was a little nervous about how it would taste with it being delivered, but I realized soon after getting it that I had nothing to worry about. Ordered the hot stone kimchi bibimbap and the scallion pancakes and both were piping hot and super tasty. The rice was cooked so that it had a nice, browned crunchy crust at the bottom and it made the dish delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Chinese restaurant
Asian restaurant
China Star is a casual Chinese eatery located in a strip mall, offering a variety of authentic Chinese dishes. Visitors can enjoy classic Sichuan cuisine such as stir-fried cabbage, dan dan noodles, pork belly in garlic sauce, and Chongqing Chicken. The menu also features more adventurous options like pig ear and frog legs for the more daring diners. Additionally, there is an "American Menu" available for those seeking familiar American Chinese dishes.
I can't believe I've finally going real Chinese food in Buffalo! I've been hunting for Sichuan cuisine for about a year now, and this weekend, I hit the jackpot. I got my fix of stir-fried cabbage, dan dan noodles, pork belly in garlic sauce, and Chongqing Chicken! Just what I've been searching for. They also have pig-ear, frog legs, and pork thread, which will be my next trip. I also love that they have an "American Menu", which is just American Chinese food. It has its place, but there's no need here! Get the real stuff. It's SO GOOD. I'm addicted to this and had a wonderful conversation with the owner by the end of my lunch. I went home happy, with a bunch of leftovers, and ready to return. I also got a pile of food and it was only 50$.

Sadly my childhood favorite Chinese restaurant is now the worst Chinese food preparers in the area. The szechuan chicken was over half Chile de Arbor. No exaggeration just look at the pictures. The chicken was so over cooked roasted like wood chips. The human chicken was tender but over spiced and way to much heat for my mother. My sister, and my fiance. General Tsoa chicken not even recognizable. The hot and sour ruined also. The only edible things were the chicken fried rice and the regular rice.

I frequently do laundry near the restaurant so I gave them a shot a few times. Everytime was an absolute disappointment, I've ordered sesame chicken that had absolutely no taste that was covered in red sweet and sour sauce. The fried rice it's so plain and that coming from a white guy. I got egg rolls that were actually spring rolls and lo mein that was just noodles with soy sauce with a couple onions sprinkled on top. I would not recommend going here. ❌❌❌

Spicy hot chicken is my favorite. Very spicy deep fried with chilies, ginger, garlic and scallion. Not for dainty palates. They have very authentic Chinese offerings. Give your taste buds an adventure or stay with the American Chinese staples. The food is fresh and cooked to please. This is one of the areas hidden gems.

I ordered the Curry chicken tonight, it surpassed my expectations and set a new standard for me when it comes to that dish! It was cooked very well and ingredients blended together as if they were started from scratch. Eating it felt like I should have waited at least an hour n half for the dish. Thanks for the experience and props to the cook.

One of my fav Chinese restaurants at Buffalo!
TZ — Google review
On the positive, the quality of the food was good and we enjoyed the meal however the price and portion was not. The bill was $35 for two shrimp with garlic sauce dishes and vegetable fried rice. It was my first time ordering from them and from the pictures online it looked like a take out restaurant. When I got there to pick up the food it seemed to be more of a sit down restaurant. I was not very happy with the price I paid when I left there but what really made me upset was when I got home and saw the containers weren't even full! Usually if we order out there's always enough left over for lunch the next day. Not in this case. I will not go back.

I was intimidated by very authentic looking dishes on the menu, but determined to not surrender to the "American Dishes" section. After asking the nice lady, she suggested a dish that not only was acceptable to my somewhat unadventurous Western pallet, but was absolutely delicious. The service couldn't have been quicker or friendlier.
