Bakery
Buffalo Cake Pops Bakery in Buffalo, NY offers a unique selection of artisan cake pops, Italian and traditional cookies, one-of-a-kind cakes, and mini sweet treats. The bakery prides itself on providing high-quality, 100% handmade, and customizable desserts. Customers have praised the bakery for its ability to create personalized cake pops based on specific requests such as designing them to resemble a friend's dog or as mini cakes.
Buffalo Cake Pops did an amazing job with our wedding dessert table. Rosalie really knows what she’s doing and her cake pops are DELICIOUS - everyone at our wedding raved about them. We just wanted cake pops, but she offers cookies and regular cakes as well. We loved the cake pops because people could grab one and get back to the dance floor! We ended up doing a 3-tier cake pop cake and then had more pops on dessert stands and platters around it. We told her the color scheme and vibe we were going for but didn’t specify the designs we wanted, and she ran with it and delivered a beautiful product! We provided the dessert stands and platters but she also has some that you can rent. She has a lot of flavor options and also has vegan and gluten free options. One thing I will say if you plan to book Buffalo Cake Pops is to stay on top of the communications. I know these vendors are very busy but it took weeks to get a response on several occasions and I had to follow up multiple times. Overall, I would highly recommend Rosalie and Buffalo Cake Pops for your dessert needs!

I've been to a few classes at Buffalo Cake Pops and have enjoyed all of them! The classes are very informative and go at a pace that allows learning and hands on without being rushed; and the treats brought home look great and are delicious. We also receive the recipes and step by step directions, which I was able to duplicate at home (not perfect, but I think I did alright! 😀) I am looking forward to going to more!

Got some pops for my hubby's birthday. Nothing fancy just an ivory with swirls. Got them in oreo and cherry almond. We have had some designs in the past done and they have always turned out delicious and adorable. Give them a try, really fun designs and solid expertise in the business. Professional and friendly. It is a bakery, not a restaurant.

I took the butter lamb cake pop class today. Rosalie did a great job explaining every step of the process and made sure that everyone had all the supplies that they needed. A unique, fun way to spend time with family or friends.
Laura W — Google review
Had them make gender reveal cake pops for my party and they were amazing. The team was so helpful through email and making my wish a reality. The cake pops were so delicious as well and were the perfect addition to my party. They helped reveal the gender of my twins and it was a fun to have the suspense of which cake pops had the genders.
Alicia A — Google review
I took my nieces to a turkey cake pop class and it was a wonderful experience. They had fun and the cake pops turned out better than I could have imagined. Rosalie did a great job of walking us through the process step by step so that we went home with cake pops that looked exactly like her examples.
Sandie L — Google review
Rosalie was a pleasure to work with and she did an amazing job bringing my vision to life! Not only was everything gorgeous but the cake pops and cookies were some of the best I've ever had. Everyone at my party couldn't stop raving about them, cannot recommend this place enough!
Madalyn R — Google review
Contacted BCP last minute before my best friend’s birthday. I asked if they could make a dozen cake pops, half of them decorated like little mini cakes. And half of them decorated as my best friend’s dog. I sent a picture of her dog and they came out amazing! My friend was obsessed and they were such a hit. Thank you so much! I will definitely be ordering from Buffalo cake pops in the future for other events or for a thoughtful gift. They are talented at what they do.

Nestled in the charming town of Snyder, Wheatberry Bake Shop has been delighting locals since its establishment in October 2012. This family-owned gem specializes in crafting mouthwatering sandwiches, custom cakes, and an array of pastries and cupcakes featuring unique flavors that tantalize the taste buds. With a commitment to baking from scratch, they prioritize healthy yet delicious options for their customers.
Wheatberry did an amazing job for our wedding cakes. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They accommodated my vegan diet and make a cutting cake for us that was entirely vegan and decorated exactly how we wanted. They also made a non-vegan sheet cake for the rest of our guests. All of our guests raved about how great the cake was and many people asked us for the name of the bakery it was definitely a big hit. The staff was also great to work with, they helped us pick dessert options for everyone when we came in for our cake tasting and also coordinated drop of with our venue so there was nothing to stress about day of.

We ordered my son’s first birthday cake from Wheatberry & it was phenomenal! The cake was so delicious & the customer service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and really helped my vision come to life from start to finish!

She did a FANTASTIC job! My mother in law surprised us by ordering a wedding cake from her and it could not have been better! The colors are perfect, design was perfect, taste was amazing! I am dairy free and the rest of the family is not and she made us a two tier wedding cake the top being vegan and the bottom regular! They were both SO good. I am so so so grateful. She even delivered it to their home for us! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Thank you so much!

My husband bought these cupcakes for my birthday. He got 6 of them all different flavors for us and four kids. These were the worst and driest cupcakes I have ever had. They were very difficult to eat. Even the kids struggled through them.
Ashley K — Google review
Recently ordered a cake here and was beyond amazed. Such a low stress experience and the baker was willing to work with my inspiration and absolutely nailed it. Not only did it look beautiful it also tasted wonderful! Definitely the place to get the best cakes and treats!
Morgan B — Google review
Ever since Haye's Fish market left this building, i never cared to go to any other business that would have taken over the vacant spot. I did pause for a second though, when Wheatberry Bake shop appeared. But still i never stop, I assumed it was just another gluten free/vegan bakery. It wasnt until I became more active on Yelp and read the positive reviews, along with teaming up with Evelyn (a yelper as well) to see and post our reviews on all the bakeshops near us. So my mission, if i choosed to accept was to finally go to Wheatberry. Once I opened up the door I was standing in front of a glass counter showcasing all the best looking desserts your heart desires. The smell of the place is amazing, you know your in a place that makes their desserts on site. Now on to my purchases, I will start with the peanut butter cookie. As you can see from the pic it is huge, it was good it really was. But I prefer more of a peanut butter taste and a little more chewy, but it still is a soft cookie but not as soft as i would have like it. I got 4 cupcakes, but will speak on the one I tried. The german chocolate, was good as well but again i felt the cupcake couldve been a little bit more moist. It wasnt dry to the point I felt my money was wasted. For me though, it couldve been a bit more moist. If it was, I wouldve ate the other 3 cupcakes i have waiting for my family to try. Next up is the Lemon bar, OOOOh boy the lemon hits your taste buds right out of the gates. I like the smooth texture of the lemon bar, it coats your tongue and the sweetness seems to intensify to calm the lemon flavor down some. This bar was a great balance of sweet verse bitter, I could only imagine eating just one though because its soooo rich. Last but not least is the pecan bar, imagine the best pecan pie you had and picture it condense. Thats what you get from this sticky, pecan pack bar. I had to eat mine with a fork because it was so sticky and if i was out in public. How many people would think i was weird for constantly licking my fingers? lol There were vegan products there, I did not try. I will go again at some point, but for now I am on to my next mission.
J H — Google review
Their front of house service was very helpful and friendly as I worked with them on my daughter’s first birthday smash cake, serving cake, cupcakes and cookies. I didn’t have any interaction with the baker, which did make me slightly nervous as the party drew closer, but she nailed the design I requested, and my guests raved about the quality and taste of the desserts! I also had to move the party up one day due to weather changes, and they were able to still accommodate my order, thankfully!!! I would recommend Wheatberry!
Lauren B — Google review
Lindsay had made our wedding cake and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! We had a very small/ private wedding reception due to the current circumstances and we were thrilled by the presentation of the cake in addition to the cake flavor itself. It was perfect and we are still getting compliments on how wonderful the cake was!!! The cake was almond with a custard and fresh strawberry filling. We will definitely be coming back and truly can't thank her enough for making such a beautiful masterpiece for us!

Paula's Donuts is a popular donut shop in Buffalo, NY that offers a variety of delicious donuts including Maple Bacon Cinnamon Roll, Cannoli Donuts, Maple Angel Cream and Cookies and Cream. The store keeps its donuts in the freezer until they are sold out, so visitors should order their favorites very early in case they run out.
This has always been my favorite donut shop growing up in Buffalo. Moved to Florida years ago and I always come back to Paula's for my coconut cream donut! My absolute favorite! I wish we had them in Tampa 🥰

As great donut as Paula. This is 3rd Paula Donut location I visited. The parking lot is quite smaller so you may have to wait for someone to leave to have a spot. Many staff and quick service so no one had to wait. Donut is fresh and good. They have some nice deal for each day so make sure you check it out. They also have tables to sit to enjoy your breakfast/donuts/coffee

Do you like donuts? Have you tried Paula's Donuts yet? What are you waiting for? These have to be one of the best donuts available in our area. They are tasty and there is always plenty of filling in them. Find a Paula's near you today and taste this sweet treat.

The donuts are oh so delicious. Wish we had them back home. Customer service was so great too. They were so nice and patient. It's our go-to when we're in the area

The peanut stick was absolutely amazing! We were there around 9am and was impressed with the huge selection available. The cashier was patient and kind. It was definitely a donut dream to visit Paula's.
Angie S — Google review
One of the best donuts I’ve had!! Too many good flavours to choose from but my favourite ended up being the glazed crueler and peanut stick. It was our first time trying Paulas, a lot of people we met in there were regulars and they were all super friendly, suggesting flavours. One of them even ended up randomly paying for our $35USD order!?! Never have had that happen before, it was super sweet! Definitely will be making the drive to come back out here for these fluffy classic donuts!
Gen L — Google review
It was super busy. The staff were tired. The breakfast sandwich and the donuts were yummy.
Michelle G — Google review
This place was recommended to us by somebody else so we drove out of our way to go here. We are very happy with our choice and doing here. The donuts were amazing according to my husband and the bagel was delicious according to me. The lines was long, but they move them through so fast. They offer a deal each day and their deals are really good.

Steak house
Buffalo Chophouse is a top-notch steakhouse in western New York, known for its elegant and quirky decor featuring velvet banquettes and dog paintings. The two-level wood-paneled dining room exudes a warm ambiance with red-satin banquettes and soft lighting, creating a lively atmosphere filled with conversation and classic tunes. The menu boasts the best steaks in the region, including succulent rib eye, filet mignon, prime rib, and chateaubriand.
The Buffalo Chop House is one of the premier restaurants in Buffalo. The name has grown to be synonymous with impeccable service, high quality food and beverages. This all comes at a premium price, but it's definitely worth it, especially for a special night out. The bar area and atmosphere lends to being cozy and well defined. Menu options are a la carte featuring quality steaks and seafood. There is a nice selection of desserts as well. I went with the 12 oz fillet which was cooked to perfection. Depending on your pallet, you might want the rub applied lightly (noted so you know it's an option). Others had the Kansas City steak, which is dry aged and was pretty delicious as well. The seafood platter featured sizable shrimp and crab legs. Some of the sides were average such as the fries and broccoli, but the mac and cheese, French onion soup and bacon were out of this world! The cheesecake was a little dry for my liking. Overall a great experience and will certainly be back. Give him a try if you haven't already, it won't disappoint.
M. K — Google review
We had an incredible experience at Buffalo Chophouse. The food was phenomenal, from the perfectly cooked steak (slightly on the salty side) and buttery lobster tail to the flavorful sides like mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. Every dish was spot on. But the real standout of the night was Jack, our bartender. He was truly top tier, tanticipating our every need, showing genuine patience, and offering some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. He was always nearby without hovering and made the whole evening feel effortless and special. Huge shoutout to him for elevating our night. Highly recommend!
Chanel S — Google review
Best friend and I went for my birthday. Our server was extremely polite and professional. We started with the calamari appetizer which was large and perfect for the price. Friend got an old fashioned which was the perfect amount of smokey to sweetness. My Moscow mule could have been a little stronger but was great. For our entrees my friend got a 8oz fillet medium rare, and I got 32oz bone in Ribeye medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection and the seasoning crust was top notch. As our side we got the mac and cheese which was phenomenal with the melted crust ontop and once you got down further the cheesey deliciousness paired super well with some of the fatty steak pieces. Would definitely be a place I'd come bsck to once a year or so.
Jeffrey Z — Google review
From start to finish, our experience at Buffalo Chophouse was absolutely exceptional. The service was top-notch — attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. Every detail, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful table checks, made the evening feel special. But the real star of the night was the Twin Grilled Center Cut Lamb Chops. Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, they were truly unforgettable. The mint chimichurri added a bright, fresh twist that elevated the entire dish, while the rosemary lamb glace brought a rich, savory depth that tied everything together beautifully. It’s one of those plates you’ll find yourself thinking about long after the meal is over. If you’re looking for a place that combines outstanding service, impeccable execution, and memorable flavors, Buffalo Chophouse is it. Highly recommended!
Gonzalo M — Google review
This place was so nice. We went here for my girlfriends birthday, that have a deal where they comp an entree for birthday celebrants under 50 bucks, so obviously that’s what we did. The bar is really nice, the bartenders are all really cool, and their drinks were really good. Our dinner was amazing, and I cannot speak highly enough about our server Eli and his helper Janelle. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heart beat. Get the Tom Collins.
Robert H — Google review
It was very nice; wasn’t expecting a 3 level place. Service was friendly and the food was very good. It was a lovely night.
Alyssa E — Google review
A World-Class Dining Experience in Buffalo I’ve had the privilege of dining at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, so I wasn’t sure what to expect coming to Buffalo. As someone who tends to draw attention, I admit I was a bit hesitant at first — I wanted my family and me to enjoy a quiet evening without feeling watched or out of place. We dressed down intentionally, hoping to blend in. From the moment we arrived early for our 6:45 reservation, the Buffalo Chophouse team went above and beyond. They accommodated us immediately and made us feel completely at ease. James, our server, was exceptional — attentive, genuine, and respectful in a way that reminded me what true hospitality feels like. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, never once making us feel out of place despite my usual need for discretion. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers both excellence and authenticity in equal measure. I would absolutely return to Buffalo just to dine here again. This experience was truly five-star in every sense.

Restaurant
Tappo Restaurant is an Italian dining spot located in a restored industrial space in downtown Buffalo. The restaurant offers a diverse selection of wines, rooftop dining with weekend DJs, and an edgy decor that includes mood lighting around the bar and exposed brick walls. With a wine list featuring 41 different bottles for under $15, Tappo encourages patrons to savor the Italian dining experience. Additionally, it hosts Jazz on Mondays in its street-level establishment and provides a vibrant atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
Great spot for summer happy hour outside! My coworkers came here on a Thursday evening on a beautiful summer day and there was a LOT of room to spread out. Great couches and corn hole in the back of the patio, and lots of tables and a bar up front. Happy hour specials include draft beer, house wine, and well drinks. They also have decent apps to split with the party, and daily specials. We split calamari and multiple people loved the Gold Rush cocktail. 10/10 recommend for either casual drinks after work or a full date night.
Jane C — Google review
We came for dinner and because we came during lent, they were serving fish fries. I had visited once before and got the eggplant parm which was very good and I wish I did that this visit, too. The fish fry itself was boring in taste but the tartar sauce did help add a little dimension. The coleslaw was good and the mac salad was great but did not have enough noodles. We got the brussel sprouts to start and they were great! My boyfriend got the meatballs and said they were the perfect texture and flavor. Our waitress was so sweet and the vibe is very open and nice. We will probably be back but will opt for their regular menu.
Raelynn M — Google review
Portions are huge!! The calamari sauce was so good I didn't even get time to take a picture we scarfed it down. Krissia was so friendly and very attentive. The Italian sandwich was like Mississippi roast on fresh bread. The Alfredo also felt homemade.
Joniann D — Google review
I have eaten at many fine establishments in my life — some with Michelin stars, some with questionable napkins — but Tappo Restaurant may now live forever in my memory the way Notre Dame football fans still talk about the 1988 national championship: loudly and with unnecessary dramatics. Let’s start at the beginning. I walked into Tappo with the confidence of a Notre Dame quarterback on game day — chest out, stomach ready, maybe slightly overdressed. The vibe inside? Warm lighting, great music, and a faint whisper of garlic that could make even the most committed keto dieter throw down their cauliflower rice and weep. I felt good. This was going to be a touchdown meal. Then… the wait. Friends, when I say I waited an hour and 30 minutes for my food, I mean I waited an hour and 30 minutes the way Notre Dame fans wait for another national championship: with optimism, pain, and a lot of internal negotiations with a higher power. I had time to reflect on my life choices, re-live all four quarters of the 2012 BCS Championship in my mind, and check the wine menu 47 times. But then something magical happened — the manager, clearly a hero recruited straight from South Bend, came over and comped me a drink. Just like that, the mood shifted. It wasn’t a flag on the play — it was a perfect fourth-quarter interception that turned the game around. The wine was smooth, a little bold, and frankly made me forget that my stomach had started to question whether food was real. And then… the pasta arrived. The Alfredo pasta came out like Rudy sprinting onto the field. Creamy, rich, unapologetically decadent. I twirled it on my fork, and I swear I heard the faint sound of the Notre Dame Victory March playing softly in the distance. It didn’t just coat the pasta — it hugged it. Every bite was a warm embrace from an Italian grandmother who somehow also tailgates in South Bend every Saturday. But hold on — the mushroom sausage pasta? My God. If the Alfredo pasta was the quarterback, this dish was the offensive line, running backs, and entire defensive unit combined. Earthy mushrooms, perfectly seasoned sausage, pasta cooked just al dente enough to remind you that life is good and carbs are a gift. It was like watching Notre Dame pull off an overtime win in a snowstorm: unexpectedly glorious and slightly emotional. The service, despite the Great Wait of 2025, was genuinely kind. My server checked in, refilled water like they were running a no-huddle offense, and managed to keep my wine glass from ever being empty. Respect. Now, was the night perfect? No. Waiting an hour and 30 minutes for pasta is a commitment — like sticking by Notre Dame through those “rebuilding years.” But honestly, when the food landed, when that creamy Alfredo and that mushroom sausage symphony hit the table, it was all worth it. Would I go back? Absolutely. Like a true Notre Dame fan, I’ll keep showing up, yelling at nobody in particular, and believing this time it’ll be our year. And if the pasta takes another hour and a half? I’ll order more wine, hum the fight song, and prepare my taste buds for greatness. Final score: Tappo: 38 My Patience: 14 Alfredo Pasta: MVP Mushroom Sausage Pasta: Heisman Winner Manager Comping My Drink: National Treasure

The food was amazing! Its a little pricey, but you get a lot and its delicious! They were really busy when we went so the service wasnt the best, but they were at least nice. I recommend it. Lovely rooftop seating with a bar!
Heather R — Google review
For a pre-concert dinner before a show at the KeyBank Center, a group of twelve of us had a reservation at Tappo.. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The food was delicious. The warm bread and stuffed peppers were fantastic. The lasagna and meatball bomber sandwiches were both big hits. The pork ragu and pasta was reported tasty as well. The restaurant had a good selection of wines, with options ranging from reasonably priced house botttles at $18 (we had the California cab) to more premium options. We were seated at a high-top table, which was perfect for our group. I also noticed the rooftop area, but I wasn't sure if it was open. I've seen it busy during the winter, though (igloos). We always enjoy going to Tapo because it offers a great mix of quality food and a wonderful atmosphere.

the bread was good, but to be called a italian restaurant the food had no flavor. the presentation was nice though
Keke — Google review
One-star nightmare. The bartender spent more time flirting with a customer than paying attention to anyone else in the room. He seemed like he was on some sort of drugs. We waited over 30 minutes just to place an order, and then another 20 minutes to pay the bill—no sense of urgency, no apology, just indifference. The glass we were served was dirty, leaving a gritty film on the rim. Our drinks tasted awful, and my friend’s beer was ruined by a spoiled lime floating in it. To make matters worse, we waited 30 minutes after ordering our food only to find out the order never went in at all. A complete breakdown in service from start to finish. I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal or decent service.

JJ's Casa Di Pizza is a great place for pizza and wings in downtown Buffalo. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. There's something for everyone on the menu, from simple slices to more adventurous options.
I'm from Idaho, here on a business trip, Staying at the Hilton Down Town and googled pizza near me. This place did not disappoint. The Wings were Scrumptious, the Pizza even better. The Staff was Great and answered all my meticulous questions about good food and beer in Buffalo NY. I would say a Must goto in this area.

We found this place at random and could not be more surprised by how good it was. The waitress was so friendly and the food was outstanding. We had individual pizza slices (huge!), pasta, and subs. All of the sauces taste homemade and were a hit with my family. Highly recommend!!

We had a small deep dish pizza with pepperoni on one half and peppers and onions on the other. I dunked mine in ranch. It was sooooo good. I'm still thinking about that pizza. The server was quick and friendly and the place had a hometown vibe without making us feel like outsiders. The Pepsi and the water were both good. They have a jukebox in the dining area and sports on the TVs. I appreciated the signs "All y'all are welcome but you gotta act right" and LGBTQ Safe Space. ❤️ I would definitely go again. We managed to grab a parallel parking spot right out front, but there's also a paid parking lot less than a block away. The bathroom was functional and clean, nothing fancy.

The deep dish pizza is very nice. They have wide range of beer and drink selection. Service is nice too.

My family and I stopped here for lunch after vacationing in Niagara Falls, and it was the best decision ever! As someone from Philly, I’ve always wanted to try real Buffalo wings, and these were the best I’ve ever had. The pizza was excellent too. Flavorful and perfectly sized. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and our server Britney was fantastic. Highly recommend JJ’s Casa Di Pizza if you’re ever in Buffalo!

Very tasty! Outstanding dough. This place has come along way, a beautiful outside patio, plenty of dining area, great draft and wine selection and amazing food!

Pre ordered 3 pizzas and 30 tenders online at 8am before they opened. I used their recommended app “Slice”. My order was set to pick up at 2:55pm. At 2:08 they cancelled my order. No phone call or nothing just an email letting me know. I had to feed 15 people by 3pm so you can imagine the panic I was in. I ordered online so early because I was not going to have access to my phone until 2:45. Absolutely ridiculous. Will avoid this place

lloyd Taco Factory is a renowned taco spot that offers a diverse selection of tacos made with housemade corn tortillas, perfectly prepared proteins, flavorful sauces, and unexpected toppings. The menu features traditional South-of-the-border flavors as well as innovative combinations like the Skinny Thai with fried tofu and peanut sauce. With food trucks and standalone restaurants in Hertel Avenue and Main Street in Williamsville, lloyd Taco Factory has gained popularity for its delicious offerings.
I absolutely love the “El Camino” (I get the chicken one) it’s my go-to dish every time! The flavors are bold and satisfying, and it always hits the spot. I highly recommend pairing it with extra chili sauce—it’s the perfect sauce (the mild is not spicy) that complement and takes the dish to the next level. Great food and great vibe!

Awesome place. Free street parking. Very quaint location in North Buffalo. Lots of small, interesting, local shops, restaurants, and bars. Ingredients are all super fresh and properly prepared. The pork tacos were delicious and the crack potatoes were insane. The manager waited on us. She was very helpful and really knows her stuff. Today was very nice and we sat outside. Heaven.

I literally order the same thing 90% of the time how do you mess it up? When Lloyds first came on the scene I enjoyed their flavors and now it’s just “meh”. What I truly despise is when I order nachos to go you put my protein in with my queso and for the amount of money you pay and what I paid today it’s not enough protein or queso in this by a long shot! What happened!? It’s always off when I dine here it lacks the consistent flavors it once had. I also didn’t get my rocket sauce with my order so and the presentation was unappealing. This really is disappointing.
Dawnette L — Google review
I’ve been a fan of Lloyd for years, and every time I see their green taco truck parked at an event or parked on the street, I have to stop. They never disappoint. I ordered the Dirty South taco and a braised beefburrito with their house chimi sauce — absolutely incredible. The meat is super tender, the flavors are bold but balanced, and everything tastes fresh. They also have great vegetarian options (the “Skinny Thai”) is a must-try if you’re into that). on the truck Carrie is always friendly, upbeat, and fast — even when there’s a line. You can tell that she works hard but still keeps a good attitude. Carrie is quick, and the food is always hot and fresh, even when they’re slammed. Bonus points for: Consistent quality (been eating Lloyd for 6+ years, still amazing) Creative menu items Affordable prices for the portion sizes That chimi sauce — honestly addictive If you’re in Buffalo and see a Lloyd truck, stop what you’re doing and order. Seriously. You won’t regret it.

Wow! Amazing burritos! We tried the fish, the ground beef and the shredded beef and they were all extremely tasty. Not your typical bland flavors. Whoever put these flavor combinations together knows what they are doing. We also did a side of potatoes and they were amazing too. I wish I had bought two of them!

I like this spot. It's simple, friendly and the food has a nice twist to the cuisine! Definitely a must try spot. Known for tacos 🌮 and burritos, they have an awesome buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, called the Mother Clucker, delicious!

Food was amazing! Ordering was easy through a touch screen or by talking directly with staff. There was barside seating that my wife and I took. We ordered drinks from their full bar while we waited for our burritos to be made. I had the Chicken and Waffle Burrito and I will absolutely be ordering that again!

Hertel Avenue Poutine and Cream is a trendy spot that offers a variety of burgers, cheese-curd-topped fries, and creative scratch-made ice cream desserts. The menu features options like the grilled cheese burger, fried chicken sandwich, and breakfast burger, all cooked to perfection with an explosion of flavors. Their poutine selection includes traditional, baked potato, stinger, and naked variations, each exceeding expectations in portion size and flavor.
Unbelievable….. we tried a host of things including the grilled cheese burger, the fried chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and breakfast burger. All were perfectly cooked and seasoned, with an explosion of flavors. For poutine we tried the traditional, baked potato, stinger and naked. Not only does the portion size exceed expectations but so does the flavor. Each one with a unique combination of gravy, textures and tastes, but left you wanting more. 10 out of 10 will be back again.

There's no gratuity, it's more like an Anderson's style (walk up to the counter, order, and sit inside or on the patio). The owner, Brad, is a creative genius -- always experimenting with, and augmenting the dessert menu. Although launching in 2016, and getting slammed with the Covid insanity shortly after, he somehow managed to weather the storm. This establishment is a serious and valuable addition to the Buffalo culinary diversity, and we're all blessed to have such a wonderful dessert destination in the Italian Village! What an unexpected pleasure. Ordered a "Classic Burger" with cheese combo (combos weren't on the menu by the way) -- which came with fresh cut fries, a craft Italian soda, and a great Cheeseburger with huge pickles, diced onions, and large tomato slices -- all for $11. The burgers are 6oz, but they're high quality and are still good sized when served (seemed much bigger than 6oz.). They had malt vinegar packets available for the fries, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the fries were mostly tiny little end pieces, not nice long fries... and although I ordered a Well-Done cheeseburger, it was served Medium, and was quite pink (R = Bloody, MR = Bright Pink, M = Pink, MW = Slight Pink, W = No Pink). "Well then..." you might ask, why did I give a 5-Star rating? Because everything was home-made and top quality (and I'm sure, if I had asked, they would have remade the fries, and the burger). In all honesty, I would have rated it 4.7 Stars, but Google only allows either a 4, or a 5. Now... the desserts... You have to be kidding me. It was hands-down, the best milkshake I've ever had. In fact, I don't even like milkshakes; this was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Brad's chocolate, and ice cream ingredients, are all imported from Italy. The milkshake was a shocking journey of flavors and textures, and needs to be eaten with a spoon, and a giant diameter straw -- at the same time. Not too rich, not too sugary, not too sweet... just perfection. I ordered the Chocolate Mouse (that's right, mouse, not mousse). The peanut butter in the Chocolate Mouse was very subtle, and scrumptiously delicious. As the milkshake got down to the end, the spoon was no longer required, and delicious chunks of quality crunchies came effortlessly up the gigantic straw. After the burger, I was full. I almost didn't order the shake. I would have missed out. You must get one of their shakes, even if you don't normally like milkshakes. There's a sign that says: "Each customer can try up to two ice cream samples" -- but Brad knew I was struggling to decide, and graciously gave me three samples. :o) They were each so unique, and so delicious, it actually made it even harder to decide.

This is one of those places you visit by chance and spend the next two days wanting to return. I loved the specialty poutine especially those first 5-10 bites on top. It was delicious heaven. It cost $12 for a large poutine and $10 for a small. You can get a bowl of fries for $5-7 depending on size and there are easy enough to share with 1-2 more people especially kids. We also ordered ice cream for the kids and they have plethora of flavors. The ice cream is decent but would not be my top choice as I prefer frozen custard type places as this seems closer to gelato type ice cream. It was still good and I love the donut/bun option. I would get that next time. We came into the afternoon and we're the only customers so we were able to sit outside with the kids and relax. The service was a little odd, I literally was sitting inside waiting for our food and she didn't even say it was ready but took the bowl outside to the rest of my family walking by my brother and me. We were trying to be helpful by saving her some steps since seemed busy and a little annoyed. But the food is great.

The place is located in the heart of Hertel Avenue. The place is very is to find. It’s small and cozy, really great hangout spot. It’s very neat and well maintained. The staff is very kind and generous. There’s a lot of poutine options, different kinds of meats and a couple of veggie options. There is alcohol, ice cream and milkshakes too. We have taken the Chicken Quesadilla Poutine and Veggie poutine. The food came out pretty quick, it’s bought to your table. The quantity was good and it was stomach filling. The chicken poutine was a good one with a spicy tangy sauce, it leaves you with an amazing savoury flavour, makes you want to eat more. We took Chocolate brownie and cinnamon vanilla shakes, they were good, I wish they had a strong flavour though. We took a waffle cone chocolate cake ice cream, it tasted more like milk than ice cream, the flavours can be more strong with a punch on your tongue. Overall good experience, would visit again for the poutine. And all the ice creams doesn’t contain any eggs so good place for vegetarians. There was a vegan ice cream option too.

Yummy! Very good poutine here! I got the baked potato poutine that included fries, cheese, bacon, sour cream and green onions. My only complaint is that it was very salty, so make sure to get a drink! I will definitely want to try their ice cream next time I go.
Jessica — Google review
This was our first experience at Poutine and Cream and it was takeout using the online ordering. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich meal. The sandwich was tasty, although it most likely was a frozen patty and there were a lot of fries. The online system doesn’t allow you to upgrade the fries to include poutine or add gravy on the side so I had to purchase another order of fries to try the poutine, which is too much and ended up throwing the fries with the meal in the garbage. I also didn’t have any options to modify the toppings on the sandwich.

My husband and I went with Fairy Cakes for our wedding based on a recommendation from our photographer and we had a really great experience with them! They were open to our request for a mixture of a small cake for cutting, mini cupcakes, and mini pies, and were able to accommodate our request to have some gluten-free cupcakes for our guests with celiac disease. They also had a really wide selection of unique flavors for both the cupcakes and pies, which we were really excited about! They were quick and professional throughout all of our communications and answered all of our questions. The desserts were delicious and we basically had nothing left by the end of the night. The cake was both stunning and whimsical. We were just really pleased with everything that Fairy Cakes had to offer and provided. We will definitely be turning to them in the future for any other cake/dessert needs!

I was completely unaware of the existence of this establishment, and that proved to be a regrettable oversight. I am grateful that I have now rectified my mistake and am following a righteous path. Salt cuisine is truly remarkable. It may be beneficial to visit immediately after work as they close early. You will not be left disappointed, thanks to their assortment of paninis, wraps, and quiche.
February 2025 From the moment you step into Salt Cuisine you know you’re in for a special experience. As a passionate food lover and a frequent diner, I can confidently say this gem of a restaurant is a testament to the talent and dedication of its owner, Chelsay Steward. Quality of Food & Presentation: The menu at Salt is a delightful journey through flavors. Each dish is meticulously crafted, reflecting a beautiful balance of taste and artistry. I have had the pleasure of trying the salad, soup, sandwiches/wraps and delicious chicken pot pies and it was nothing short of a masterpiece—perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and presented with an elegance that made it almost too beautiful to eat (almost!). Service: Service at Salt is exceptional. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by Chelsay who greets you with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The team operates seamlessly, ensuring that every need is met promptly without being intrusive. It’s clear that they take pride in what they do, and their passion for hospitality shines through. Great Restaurant Vibe: The ambiance at Salt is simply enchanting. The decor strikes a perfect balance between cozy and chic, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both intimate and vibrant. Soft music plays in the background, and the warm lighting adds to the overall charm, making it a perfect spot to unwind and savor every moment. In conclusion, Salt is a standout establishment that deserves all the praise it receives. With top-notch food, outstanding service, and an inviting atmosphere, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a tasty dining experience. Kudos to Chelsay Steward for creating such a remarkable culinary haven! Karla

Incredible homemade food. Their counter serve style was perfect for picking up a few entrees to bring to the airport. We got a Southwest Chicken Salad and a Teriyaki Rice Bowl which they graciously heated up for us before we left. It stayed warm for at least 30 minutes and was better than any food we could get at the airport!! Highly recommend if you live in or are traveling through Buffalo.

I had no idea this place even existed. And that was a mistake. I am glad that I have discovered the error of my ways, and am now on the street and narrow. Salt is fantastic. They close early, so stop by right after work. Work you will not be disappointed. Various paninis, and wraps, quiche... I just had some maple bacon, mac and cheese that I would probably kill for. I've had a lot of mac and cheese. This was really really good.

First, the good. The food here is delicious and unique. We loved the variety and different takes on a variety of dishes. They also had traditional dishes if you're not the adventurous type. The baked goods for dessert were just as delicious. My wife got a frozen pot pie to go that she said was extremely good upon reheating. The owner was extremely kind, took time to explain various items, and overall very customer service oriented. My biggest complaint was the service after the owner left. My wife, my 1 year old, and I had finished our late lunch and some dessert when the server told us they had closed about 10 minutes ago. Being first-time parents, we aren't always done on time, but I don't think I have ever had a restaurant rush us out l, 10 mi utes afyer close except for maybe McDonalds or other fast food places. We had already finished our meal and dessert, so there wasn't much else to do aside from getting ready to leave. Rushing us out felt out of character for this venue. As a former server and salesperson, customer service is paramount in this line of work. We were disappointed with the end of our meal.

During the period when Buffalo Public Schools transitioned to remote schooling in 2020, there was a heightened need for a child-friendly escape for city parents, guardians, and grandparents. This is where The Cereal Spot on Hertel Avenue stepped in at just the right time. By taking the simple and ordinary concept of breakfast cereal and transforming it into an extraordinary experience, this cafe offers a unique and captivating twist.
The Cereal Spot is such a unique place! I was worried going there, as my husband had a dairy allergy. They offer two flavors of nondairy ice cream and they even had oatmilk (which is my husband’s favorite and most places do not offer this). They have so many cereal flavors as well and such unique combinations! We can’t wait to go back again!

What a unique place! Neat atmosphere inside and a wide selection of cereal to choose from. We got the ice cream tacos which were very tasty, but a little on the pricey side ($6.25 for one). I recommend checking this place out if you want something a little different for a snack!

This is the most wonderful idea for a shop I have ever seen. Walking in you can expect to be greeted with a big smile and LOTS of options. 100+ kinds of cereal, 20+ kinds of icecream, 20+ types of milk, and 20+ toppings. The cashier describes the basics of what you can get then you can just expand and be creative from that point. Great spot and all age friendly! See you spoon!

Didn't actually get a bowl cereal when I went, but my friend had the Fruity Pebbles taco and it looked and tasted good (she let me try some). I ordered a slice of cake. It was a Cinnamon Toast crunch churros cake ($5) and it was yummy. I should have let it warm up a bit before eating it as it was in the cooler, but it was still good nonetheless. The place has a cool aesthetic and that alone is worth popping in to check out.

Solo Eats is a restaurant that serves some of the best food in town. The wings are amazing and their deep fried taco is to die for. Plus, their customer service is top-notch. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, Solo Eats is the place to go!
I was a little skeptical at first... When we pulled up.... The lady working was very professional... Customer friendly.... The cheesesteak omg.. i dont know what sauce they put on it.. but this was something different.. delicious... The cajun sauce chicken was great... And omg don't let me get started on the FRIED TACOS.. I got the banger.. and yea it was banging... The plain fried chicken tasted like old burnt grease and the fries were a little on the burnt side... But because everything else was delicious... That wasnt a major issue... I would definitely recommend... And if I didnt live eight hours away I would be here daily

I am extremely disappointed in this establishment. 1. There were unattended teenagers inside, going in and out, shouting out of the door, being loud and I didn’t see anyone eating. 2. The establishment itself was cluttered, uninviting, and not appealing at all. 3. Our order was called in two hours prior, we indicated the time that we would pick it up however, when we arrived all the sides that we had ordered apparently ran out however, when I asked the cashier “girl” our sides were plenty at the time of our order, she said yes… 4. Customer Service was definitely below average, the knowledge base and the friendliness was absent. 5. In addition when I wanted to cancel the order when I discovered the sides that I requested were no longer available the cashier “girl” lied and said that our meals were already prepared, but they were not. We still had to wait an additional 15 minutes.. 6. The yams were not flavorful, the macaroni and cheese tasted as if it were made from a box, the cornbread muffin was as hard as a hockey puck and the fish was subpar. 7. There were no utensils nor napkins place in the bag Overall, I was extremely disappointed and will not be a returning customer……

I don’t know if it’s because I’m pregnant but I haven’t been taking kindly to the way these restaurants SPIT IN YOUR FACE when it comes to online ordering . You can be serving the president behind that screen y’all need to treat people order the right way! I ordered me and my boyfriend wings and my daughter a snack of 2 cups of Mac and cheese today for 1 I asked them to put ranch instead of bleu cheese I can’t eat bleu cheese I’m pregnant I will throw it up they couldn’t even do that! I had my daughters food put in the wrong bag when I called they didn’t even say “oh that’s our mistake can you come pick it up” or nothing she just said I could’ve sworn I put it in there SHE DIDNT EVEN APOLOGIZE 🤣 (wtf?) then I called back when I realized I PAID FOR ALL FLATS but didn’t get all flats with my order stop playing with people money and food and the second time I called they answered and put the phone down 🤣 people are REAL REVIEWERS I’m a real reviewer I will call the BBB so to avoid all that make people food correctly THE FIRST TIME !!! yall ain’t gotta worry about me tho because after years of business just that quick yall lost me 💯 and take your criticism over the phone I wasn’t even going to write a review or make a big fuss but the fact yall didn’t care yall messed up my order ($60) order?!? 05/09/2023 Worst wings I have ever had $15 for 10. Overcooked and extremely dried out. Not even the medium sauce, which there wasn't a lot of, could save them. I'm disappointed as a local told me to skip Anchor and Bar Bill Tavern to come here. Staff were pleasant, and there is a long wait time for your food to be cooked to order.

I got a 10 piece, fries, and a can soda for $20.12. under cooked wings with hot sauce, no flavor besides a cheap hot sauce, the fries were overly salted and mind you I waited 30 mins and was the only one in the building when I went in. Yuck yuck yucky. I ate 2 wings cause I wanted them to be good, my 11year old loves wings and he didn't even eat them and after being left on table over night my dog didn't even sniff them out and eat them. I have a picture but don't see how to add it.

We both got the same thing the Solo's Famous Fish Dinner, which according to Door Dash comes with fries, hush puppies and choice of two sides. I got mac & cheese and green beans and I did get the hush puppies, but no french fries. This all came with a good size piece of fish and overall the meal was good. The fish was perfectly cooked and well l-seasoned batter was clearly used, but the sides left something to be desired in the seasoning department. With such a large menu, I definitely would return in the future and desserts that they had at the countertop looked quite yummy too.

Fresh Arabic Sweets بلاد الشام is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Middle Eastern sweets. The shop provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who are eager to offer samples of their delicious baklava and Syrian coffee. Customers rave about the quality and balance of flavors in their sweets, particularly highlighting the honey cakes and walnut baklavas. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot to indulge in these delectable treats without breaking the bank.
BEST baklava in the area! It's a small place with delicious fresh baked baklava of all kinds. The chicken is incredible, roasted on a vertical spit, it's flavorful, moist, tender. The garlic sauce was very rich and good. Service was so helpful and friendly! All the guys that work there are such sweethearts! I will continue to come back here.

Wow! Amazing dessert - the baklava is so flavorful and delicious and the staff is so kind. Amazing business I’ll definitely be back and recommending to friends!

A wide variety of Turkish sweets. Also sells pickles. The seller was also very cordial and very quiet and homely atmosphere.

Food: Now, onto the star of the show – the shawarma. I opted for the classic chicken shawarma wrap, and it did not disappoint. The meat was tender and flavorful, marinated to perfection and grilled just right. The wrap was generously filled with fresh vegetables, tangy pickles, and a creamy garlic sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Each bite was a burst of flavors and textures that left me wanting more.😊👏

I am visiting from California and I asked them if they can make an exception and make a plate style just like home and they were happy and generous to do it Everything tasted great I did see that the locals loves their desserts and i did try it as well 😋

Your typical mom and pop shop trying to make it. The amazing desserts that you can find inside is out of this world delicious. The family is just the friendliest and helpful with answers about the different desserts. Definitely my go to place for desserts whenever we host a family gathering. They also have a wide selection of lunch items which I have not tried just yet but I will for sure.

I would highly recommend Fresh Arabic Sweets, they have amazing baklava! They have a large variety of baklavas, I would recommend the walnut one. Their shawarma is also really good. The service is great too, the owners and employees are kind and friendly.

We went to Fresh Arabic Sweets upon recommendation from my son and was not disappointed. A very friendly and welcoming gentleman served us right away. There was a great selection of sweets. We got a very generous variety of Baklava for a very reasonable price. Everything was fresh and delicious. Looking forward to returning soon.

Wheelchair Accessible, Food is awesome as ever. Bathrooms are accessible but the doors to get in are heavy and don't have accessible, powered openers. The bathrooms are single occupancy. Clean, stocked, and accessible. Even the grab bars are clean. Good service, always.

A great place to get classic custard in WNY! This location has the typical outdoor ordering experience where you can get food, ice cream, custard, and vegan options for desserts ice 🍦 My favorite thing about picking up a custard treat is getting a classic twist with chocolate and vanilla! Be sure to check the website to see what specialty flavor of the week or month is available. I found the strawberry Custard on my second visit to be absolutely delicious and ordered it as a pint to go ! While there, we enjoyed some curly fries, BBQ, and 2 different sundaes. You can pick from one of their signature flavors or create your own! This is my favorite place to get a summer treat and I'm excited to go back and try their lemon ice twisted with custard 🍋
Taysha V — Google review
We love Anderson's frozen custard, and the food's good too. This location really has that feel of the drive-in ice cream place from summers long past (but the enclosures that go up in the fall make it so you can enjoy it year-round!). The staff is generally really good with custom orders, so you can get your favorite mix of flavors, whether it's a sundae, cone, or shake (or malted). With a mix of frozen custard flavors, Italian ice, and hard ice creams and frozen yogurts there are lots of possibilities available. And of course, there are frozen ice cream cakes and pints/quarts already packaged for take-home options. One extra benefit to this location is that it's practically next to the Tonawanda Rails-to-Trails path, making it much nicer to visit without the car. And just as a general note, you can check the special flavors of all the Anderson's locations on their website, in case there's a particular one you're looking for.
Hex K — Google review
Our first trip to Anderson's was delicious! Beef on Weck was perfect. Beef thinly sliced and cooked medium. So tender. They have many sides to choose from. The potato salad was good, the baked potato was really good, but the onion rings were a hit. Super crunchy and thinly sliced onions didn't have an over powering onions taste. Custard sundaes were more than plenty after a full meal. We will be returning!
Marci W — Google review
If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend for you to stop by and try this place out. Their burgers are super tasty and the onion rings and Cajun fries are amazing. Let’s not forget about the frozen desserts too. The banana split was delicious!

Haven’t been here in decades as we live out of state, but we needed a trip down memory lane. My wife loved the single cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. I had a Carl’s roast beef and it was excellent.

My wife and I go relatively often and have always had a good experience. The food is solid and the ice cream is awesome! Sometimes the food orders can take some time even if it isn’t busy but we’ve never had to wait too long to get it. A WNY staple and must go, especially for their ice cream!

Paula's Donuts is a beloved doughnut shop with three locations in Buffalo, operating since 1996. The extensive menu offers over 30 different varieties of hand-cut doughnuts that customers rave about. In addition to their delectable doughnuts, the diner also serves bagels and early-morning sandwiches, making it a popular breakfast spot in the area.
Maybe you have a person in your life who is quick to say things like, "That was the best donut I've ever had!" I am not such a person but I must declare that Paula's Donuts are the best I've ever had. Those cream filled ones seem to weigh a pound! A pound of fluffy, sugar loaded, baked goodness. If I lived closer to one of these shops my wallet would be lighter and I would be heavier. These donuts are America's donuts!
Josh S — Google review
Heard so much about this place, we had to come and see for ourselves. We had to specifically request the cannoli donut as they are freshly assembled upon request; they are not on display. Very rich, very thick with the generous amount of cannoli cream pumped into the centre of a huge powder donut. A meal in itself! The cinnamon donuts with chunks of apple were delicious. The peanut butter cream was also super rich. There’s a small patio with umbrellas and chairs to sit at outside the front of the shop, and seating inside. Counter service, with staff who were super friendly and helpful in making suggestions. Free parking. This location closes early so check their hours on the website.

Smaller Paula. Nice design inside. They have parking in front and back of the store. They have few tables, so you might not have a seat if visit ok busy day. Donuts options are similar to other locations. I bought 4, and 2 of them might be smaller size compared to other Paula store. Bathroom is locked and needs key from staff.

Here visiting from Florida, June of 2025. This experience at Paula’s donuts has me in my feelings and I don’t know when I’ll be able to travel back to enjoy the most amazing donuts I’ve ever had. Florida could never have something this outstanding. If I could just teleport here at least monthly it’s all I’m asking. Someone help a fan out!!

LOVE Paulas doughnuts and I frequently buy a couple dozen for my kids daycare teachers. Giving zero stars because the employees aren't allowed to have a tip jar? What's with that? I asked the employee working there 50 million questions and they helped guide me to make the choices I needed. Would love to be able to show the workers some extra love. I asked about a tip jar and was told there was a donation box for a charity. No thanks the business owners should take care of that tax write off. I wake to tip the EMPLOYEES not help line the owners pockets. So distasteful.

Amazing donuts. Whether you like frycakes, jelly, Boston cream or fritters, I guarantee you will be satisfied! They are the best donuts I've had yet and I eat a lot of them 😂 Large sizes, fresh and no skimping on ingredients. Prices are very reasonable for the deliciousness you get in return. They also have danishes and such but I didn't try those. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend if you want the best donuts in Buffalo or Rochester.

Cookies & Cream is a charming ice cream shop in South Buffalo that has been on many people's must-visit list. The shop offers two different sizes of house-made ice cream cakes and a unique Cookie Tower. Instead of the usual local brand, they serve Giffords Ice Cream from Maine. Customers rave about the caramel cookie for its rich buttery flavor and the soft brownie with buttercream frosting.
Makes their own soft serve and man does the vanilla hit different. The chocolates fine but vanilla is really good. Go for the chip-witch. Won’t regret it because it’s size.
Wasfimaster — Google review
The staff here is always great, but some things are good on the menu and other things could be better. The cookies are all delicious, but the soft serve leaves something to be desired. It might have just been something wrong with the machine but the texture was too icy and not nearly as creamy as some other places. I think the hard ice cream is fine, but if you are looking for soft serve specifically this might not be the place. Also it seems like the milk shake machine may have been out of order for a while based on other reviews. Still a good place to have in the neighborhood!
Joshua R — Google review
Ordered a ‘77 with pb cups and chocolate pretzel caramel. Figured it was all mushed in with vanilla, my fault on not checking. The chocolate part on the pretzel option means ice cream. The girls made it and then saw I do not like chocolate ice cream and then offered to fix it with vanilla - at closing time. It was delicioussss and the service made it that much more enjoyable!

Cookie sundaes! We came in about an hour before closing, and they were out of our first two choices of cookies. We ended up getting the Macadamia Nut Cookie Sundae. It was really good! It was the perfect amount to split with someone.

Ice cream is always really good, but they've had some bad staffing issues as of late. I've gone at 4pm for 5 days in a row now and they've always been locked up with a paper sign that says sorry closed at 6 (pm) on the door. Hope business picks up enough to fix this because the food is amazing!
The ( — Google review
The caramel cookie was the best and softest of them all and had a very nice rich buttery flavor.. really delicious. The brownie with buttercream frosting is my favorite, even though I never eat sprinkles, I don't mind the sprinkles on these brownies because they're soft. One time they accidentally gave me the brownie with the chocolate sprinkles and I didn't like it at all, it left an awful aftertaste. Ive had cookies in the past from here, I've tried most of the flavors and although the taste of all of them was decent, i wasn't impressed because some of them were too hard and dry but it seems like they've improved this. It's a really nice little shop, it's very clean, it smells amazing, the manager is super friendly and helpful. Lots of different cookies, ice cream cakes, ice cream Etc and they have a nice little outdoor space in the back.

The Twix Crepe and Purple Rain Linz Waffle are highly recommended.
If you're reading reviews, stop what you're doing and drive right to Halleez. This is simply a work of art that is as delicious as beautiful. The bubble waffles are perfectly cooked- warm and tender with a perfect crisp to the outside. Pictures I am posting shows their dedication to their customers. I usually get the Lotus (3rd picture) but my last visit I couldn't decide- he offered to give me the best of both worlds so I didn't have to! Great coffee house with a hint of a Georgian influence. (They have some Georgian wines!) Great staff . Friendly atmosphere. Comfort seating, bright and clean. I had a breakfast sandwich on a delicious bagel. I think it could use a bit more egg and cheese, but tasty.

A Taste of Turkey in Every Sip. I recently visited this coffee shop and had their Turkish coffee — and it was absolutely wonderful. Rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, it instantly took me back to memories of Turkey. The presentation was beautiful, and you could tell they put care into every step of the process. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a slow cup. Giveita S — Google review
My new friend Shelby handed me the kind of insider tip you don’t ignore: Go to Penny’s. I walked a single Buffalo block from my office and wondered how I’ve missed this gem hiding in plain sight. The morning light was pure autumn—amber and generous—pouring through those wide, street-facing windows like a warm introduction. Inside, the vibe lands somewhere between Norwegian-calm and neighborhood-hug: exposed brick that tells its own story, soft wood that glows, matte-black metal shelving laced with trailing ivy. It’s not décor for décor’s sake; it’s harmony. Along the back wall, a living tapestry of green frames a simple promise—eat clean and thrive—and the room delivers on it. Lantern-like lights along the banquette cast a honeyed halo on quiet conversations and open laptops. Across the floor, a swing-seat nook and woven pendant lamps make you want to linger, to read a few extra pages, to text someone you care about and say, “Meet me here.” The chalkboard menu is as approachable as the space: quick caffeine when you’re on the clock, or stay-for-a-while brunch and cocktails when you’re building a morning worth remembering. The pastry case is dangerous—in that way where your eyes taste first—and even the branded cup sleeve feels intentional, the tactile kind of detail that says somebody here cares about the little things. There’s a modest retail shelf—beans, mugs, tumblers—threaded with vines against the brick, like the space itself is quietly rooting for you. Shelby arrived, and we took the seats by the front windows, where the city framed our conversation like a moving postcard. We talked careers and life, the stuff that matters and the stuff that’s starting to. Penny’s did what the best cafés do: it lowered the noise floor so the real signal could cut through. I left charged twice—once by the coffee (a bold brew with a shot of espresso for good measure), and once by the easy clarity that only happens when the environment holds you steady. If you’re measuring ROI, Penny’s trades in the highest-yield metric I know: quality time. It’s the rare third place that feels both designed and deeply human—where warmth meets craft, and the morning becomes a ritual instead of a rush. So here’s my playbook: start your day at Penny’s on Main. Slide into the window light. Order something warm. Talk about life. And let this little love letter of a café do what it does best—make the ordinary feel romantic.
Zack S — Google review
Yikes! First and last time! Coffee was okay at best. Got avocado toast that was not even toasted? Thinnest spread of avocado i’ve ever had, which was grey/green. When I asked if I could have just a slice or two more, he brought out BROWN SOGGY avocado. I had my boyfriend mention something yo the guy at the front. He couldn’t have cared less. While waiting- any other women took her coffee back as well. This place needs some quality and training help ASAP!! So bad!!!
Nicole T — Google review
Good spot to get some work done. The space is airy with high ceilings, exposed brick, faux-botanical decor—a clear effort was made to create a welcoming spot to work. Espresso drinks are fine though not standout, and while the pastries don’t exactly tempt, the atmosphere makes up for it. Not necessarily a destination for coffee purists, but a dependable workspace with a good hum to it.
R B — Google review
Got a vanilla latte with oatmilk and a chocolate croissant. Was good! I get a pretty basic order so nothing crazy. Super cute atmosphere. I will say that the girls behind the counter did seem like they didn’t want be at the counter or serving people. Otherwise they were quick and got to the point!

I stopped in Blackbird Sweets while wandering down Hertel Ave. What a nice locally owned bakery. The owner, Andrea, was an absolute gem, and answered any/all questions I had. You can tell that each cupcake was made with love and care. Highly recommend this women-owned, LGBTQ friendly, local business Wonderful experience, and wonderful products!

We only tried three things from this bakery. A cinnamon crumb cake, a buttercream sugar cookie bar, and a caramel buttercream cupcake. My friend said the cinnamon crumb cake was good. I hate to leave a bad review but hopefully the owner can fix this issue and take some constructive criticism because nobody likes feeling like they threw their money away. First I'll cover the texture, the texture of the cupcake was great- soft and moist, the texture of the sugar cookie bar was a bit dry. However the flavor of both of these items was ruined by either being refrigerated uncovered at some point or some ingredient that was used in the frosting of both of these items was kept in a refrigerator that needs a thorough deep cleaning, because the frosting on both of them had absorbed the flavors of the refrigerator and it ruined them both. (Perhaps the butter that was used was kept in a freezer? I'm not sure but it definitely had a taste that was not good or fresh.) The owner was friendly and helpful, they did have other goods such as dried pasta Etc. but if you have sensitive taste buds I would not recommend anything that has been refrigerated until the issue is resolved. response to owner- im sorry to leave a negative review but its not my concern to write kind reviews- i write honest reviews. the 2 items i had did not taste fresh at all. im quite sure the butter that was used was in a refrigerator or freezer that needs a deep cleaning. my sense of taste is extremely acute. i reviewed 2 other bakeries the same day and i didnt have that issue with any of their items. i can certainly stop in for a refund and to try another cupcake, and if that musty taste is gone i will update my review to reflect that.

She was so nice to do the schools’ colors. Everyone at the party was asking where I got them because they were so good! Thank you! :)

Very cute store with lots of options. The woman who cashed us out was very nice and informative about what we were buying. Tried the Pride rainbow cookie and it was delicious!! Looking forward to trying the raviolis from the pasta peddler in the same building.

These cupcakes are incredible! The flavors are creative without being weird. I definitely recommend all of them (especially the ones involving caramel)! One of my friends is ordering wedding cupcakes from here (they were totally booked with wedding cake orders) and is super happy working with the owner. Obviously, Blackbird Sweets is doing something right! ;-)

Saw this bakery and decided to stop in and I'm glad I did! The staff were very nice and helpful and the dessert was delicious! I had the Mini bars ( 6 cherry berry struesel & Lemon) and they tasted Amazing!! I'm definitely going back another day to try one of their cookies & Gourmet Pop Tarts. Highly Recommend. ❤️

Love frost! Current favorite bakery in the west side! Highly reccomend their cinnamon rolls, I hated cinnamon rolls because of school but after tasting theirs it's a whole new world. Me and my fam buys their cinnamon rolls all the time! I hope they never discontinue their cinnamon rolls 😋. We've bought many cinnamon rolls but it gets eaten so fast so there's not much pictures. Their cakes are gorgeous! Tastes normal buf I love its presentation. Definitely prefer their cinnamon rolls though. (3rd img cupcakes I'm not sure if i got from frost, can't remember. Their red velvet cupcakes are delicious though) Frost isn't really dine in, it's more of order pick up and eat home, there's a nice park across to eat their pastries in though.

Stopped in before a meeting to grab a SINGLE treat, and ended up leaving with three, haha! I got the strawberry pop tart, cinnamon roll, and lemon cream turnover. All three were so delicious with the pop tart and cinnamon roll being standouts for me. Everything I saw was priced between $2 and $5, so an affordable place if you’re looking for a yummy treat in a beautiful space. Looking forward to going back to try something new next time.

My husband ordered a custom cake from Frost and it turned out incredible! The team was so accommodating and really knocked the design out of the park. The cake was absolutely stunning and delicious. ✨🥰

This weekend I picked up a cake and cookies for my daughters graduation party and the cake was so moist. All the flavors were on point. The cookies I was a little skeptical about since it was her school logos, but I underestimated them. They were perfect. This is the second time I have ordered from Jasmine and will continue to do so.

WOW! One of the best bakeries in the area. This is a high quality bakery that makes everything from scratch! you're not going to find any cheap canned fillings or pre made garbage that you find at a lot of other bakeries. You can taste the passion they they put into their items. The texture and flavor of everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic. So delicious!! Pastry dough was light and flaky, the fillings were incredibly flavorful. All the berries and fruit were fresh. We got a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting, a cheese danish, a lemon blueberry pastry, a strawberry rhubarb hand pie, almond pasticciotti, cheese apricot almond pastry, lemon raspberry mascarpone cream puff, key lime meringue mini pie, and also sampled some of the buttercream frostings. We were impressed with every single thing that we got. it was a very clean place and the woman who tended to us was super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back regularly.

Niagara street sure has changed since the past years. Such welcomed new development, has changed the whole landscape of the area. It was only right for, Frost Artisan Bakery to find a home here. FAB is available to make custom cakes and other desserts, for all types of events or special occasions. I came to browse over their dessert case. Everything look amazing, and if you know me. I purchased a few things. It's ok to lose control, when so many interesting desserts are in front of you. I forgot to ask, but I'm not sure if the desserts in the case. Are the regular staples, or they rotate with different varieties depending on the week. That's the question I'll ask on my next visit. Cheesecake- Sponge Candy..Wow that was really good. I love the fact the cheesecake was fluffy and light. Not to light to lose its texture (which is smooth), but just right with substance. The caramel drizzle, and pieces of sponge cake. Was done perfectly Cheesecake- Strawberry.. Was just ok.. The cheesecake had the same texture, as the sponge cake cheesecake. But at times I got a hint of sourness. Not sure, if the cheesecake has a sour cream component to it. But it tasted like it did to me. I would've prefer a sweeter taste instead. (Just a touch) Cupcakes- (red velvet, mango margarita, churro) Red velvet.. You know any bake goods, that is not dry is a winner. Especially, when it comes to red velvet. This cupcake was really good, and I loved the cream cheese frosting Mango margarita- This was a surprise, I thought it was going to be overly sweet. But it wasn't.. the texture of the cupcake is more dense, similar to a crumb cake. But it works for this dessert Churro- If you like spice cakes, then this cupcake is for you. Absolutely loved the frosting. Cake- Orange creamsicle.. 3 layers of goodness. This cake didn't just look good, but it tasted just as good. The cake had just the right amount of frosting, and perfect amount of sweetness. The shortbread cookie crumb, was a really good touch to it.

We originally had our wedding cake made by cookies bakery through Rich’s. Under new management and a new name as Frost, Jasmine provided excellent customer service and a very tasty anniversary cake for us (strongly recommend the cookie and cream filling). Will be headed back, especially now that there is a more complete storefront.

Chrusciki Bakery, nestled in Lancaster, New York, is a beloved gem that has been delighting the Buffalo community for years with its authentic European baked goods. This charming bakery expertly marries traditional recipes with contemporary flavors, offering an array of delectable treats like flaky pastry hearts adorned with sweet frosting and classic favorites such as chrusciki, placek, cannoli, and almond rings.
The Chrusciki Bakery is my family's favorite place to get sweet treats! I've attended cupcake decorating classes, ordered baked goods, and stopped by their stand every year at the Broadway Market. No matter the circumstance, their team is always friendly and helpful. Plus, every treat I've gotten is delicious! One of my favorites is the vanilla old fashioned cupcake, if you haven't yet tried one of these, I'd highly recommend that you do!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chrusciki Bakery! They go above and beyond for their customers, and I love that they are always adding new items to their menus! I really love that their Broadway Market location carries their classics but also switches up some new options. Chrusciki Bakery has done a few different cakes at weddings I've been to, and they were beautiful and delicious! I definitely recommend this bakery to everyone.

Friendly, family owned business with a great variety of cookies, cakes and authentic Polish desserts. Wedding cakes are stunning - best in Buffalo. Also a great place to take a cake decorating class with friends or book a private event!

Very disappointed! Every time I purchase something lately (in the last year) it has been stale. I don't mind paying a higher price for their goods but not if I can't eat it. I love the Almond Horseshoes. They are similar to an Almond Ring but smaller for 1 or 2 people. When I visited the Depew location, I was told that I would have to order 1 in advance because they only make them now dipped in chocolate!!?? I love chocolate but why ruin a good thing? Have customers come in and said "I would buy a Horeshoe only if it was dipped in ganache" I highly doubt it.Dear Chrusciki Bakery: You are well-known for many items unique to your brand and not made at other bakeries. We can buy a brownie or donut anywhere but you make the best black & white cupcakes around (among other items), so stick with the tried & true. Some people, namely me, love tradition.Remember the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't dip it in chocolate"!!🌰🍩🍮🍰

JB's Bake Shop is a delightful little gem that offers an array of scrumptious pastries and treats. While their custom cakes may need some improvement in moisture, the overall experience is enhanced by their outstanding customer service. Many visitors rave about the delicious pastries, especially the donuts that resemble mini cakes and the unique bread pudding that leaves a lasting impression. The shop also excels in creating beautiful wedding cakes, with one couple praising both its appearance and taste during their destination wedding planning.

The pastries in the shop are very good, however, the custom cakes were not. I have tried two cakes. One vanilla and one chocolate. The chocolate was so dry, I couldn't get it down and vanilla was ok but very dense. He needs to work on his custom cake. They need to be a little more moist. Other, than that, he has excellent custom service and the other pastries in the shop were very good.

B Sweet Designs is a Buffalo-based dessert table design company that specializes in crafting personalized and delectable dessert displays for weddings and special occasions. The owner, Marisa Battaglia, and her team are dedicated to adding a unique and delicious touch to every event they cater to. Located in the vibrant Larkinville district, B Sweet Designs offers an upscale yet approachable dessert lounge experience reminiscent of those found in larger cities like Toronto or London.
Marisa is THE BEST!! Her radiant energy paired with her amazing talent made for a 10/10 experience! We booked Marisa for our dessert bar at our wedding, but we could not wait to taste her desserts, so we also decided to use her to cater desserts for our wedding shower. Not only were the cupcakes absolutely beautiful, they were delicious. The perfect combo! The dessert bar at our wedding was absolutely the highlight of the night! She came up with so many ideas of different items to serve, and every item was beautiful and tasted so good! Every single person commented on the dessert table, how stunning the display was and how delicious it all was. Marisa also made sure to pack my husband and me our own dessert plate to enjoy on our own. B Sweet is a MUST for desserts!
Amanda K — Google review
Great space, friendly staff, Marisa is very welcoming. She helped me pick out cakes for myself and my friend for his bday! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. My choice of cake was the carrot cake. Good size and was perfectly moist and balanced. If you like sweets but don’t wanna break a diet or caloric count this is the best sweets shop in Buffalo to check out. All the items are fresh and well portioned. They also have mini champagne bottles, drinks, and other kinds of beverages that aren’t sugary. Check them out!

Marisa is INCREDIBLE. My partner and I inquired for our wedding when we knew we wanted a dessert bar/table in lieu of a traditional cake. Her tables on her Instagram were STUNNING and we knew we had to reach out. She turned out to be the SWEETEST person ever and was so fun to work with! My partner and I had a travel theme throughout our wedding and we wanted to lean into it by having desserts that reflected our travels. Marisa is also a big traveler and really ran with the idea and WOW!! Everything. Was. Perfect. Everyone of our guests raved about the table and loved everything, especially the oatmeal crème pies and the churro cheesecakes! Speaking of travel, Marisa was literally in THAILAND during our wedding, so her incredible staff was there to set up and they were equally as wonderful! Ashley was so sweet - and even snapped some photos of our first look for us while she was setting up the table! Overall, would absolutely recommend for you wedding (or desserts in general!!) needs!! :)

B Sweet Designs is one of the latest new businesses to pop up in Larkinville. They had a private event and we were invited to check it out after another event in the area before their grand opening. It is a gorgeous space used for private events, ticketed events and a dessert lounge. They also specialize in dessert styling for special events. Very cool to have such a unique, female owned business in WNY. I was able to try the strawberry tart and a macaron. Both were delicious! I want to come back and enjoy a date at the dessert lounge. They have hot and cold beverages along with wine to make this any kind of experience you would like. Marissa, the owner was there to share her background and excitement for all things dessert. She and her staff were lovely and helpful! A definite stop on your next trip to Larkinville.

Marisa was absolutely phenomenal to work with, from start to finish! My husband and I were absolutely blown away after our very first meeting with her – she brought so much energy, and made our dessert appointment FUN!! We talked as if we’ve known her for years, and just fell in love with her personality, and how incredibly sweet she was. You can tell she’s passionate about what she does, and it showed by her going above and beyond to make every bit of our experience perfect. And not only was she incredible to work with, but her dessert display was out of this world 😍🤩 I actually found her through one of my girlfriends weddings, where her display was set up. I saw it, and knew that I HAD to have her at my wedding one day. Fast-forward a few years later, and that dream came true. She created an absolutely stunning masterpiece that not only blew myself and my husband away, but all of our guests as well. The display looked so beautiful that you almost didn’t want to eat anything and ruin it 😝!! But even more than that, when you actually try her desserts, they taste just as good as they look, or better! There was not one dessert that I didn’t enjoy. Everything was absolutely delicious. Rating is most definitely 10 out of 10! If you are considering B Sweet Designs for your wedding, go for it! Go all in! You will not be disappointed, I promise you that

My partner and I found B Sweet through another friend's wedding and were so interested in her beautiful setups and Marisa did not disappoint on our wedding day. She was so excited to hear of our plan for a custom layout based around our travels and everything turned out great. My partner and I are not massive sweets people but we enjoyed every single thing. Not to mention Marisa’s coordination while being out of the country on vacation was incredible. She even coordinated with our signage person to ensure a cohesive look with the rest of our venue. We had Ashley come to set up our table and she was incredibly nice and great to meet. Most of our guests continued to say “now that is how you do dessert”. Plus some of the classics reimagined like poptarts and oatmeal cream pies are where she really sold us.Thank you Marisa for being affordable, seeing our vision, and making it happen. Couldn’t recommend you and your team more!

Cookies are good but the hot chocolate 🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️ Is a hugeeeee no no . Too much water and it tastes like the ones you buy from the store or Tim hortons . And the thing is the description describes creamy velvety and homemade that’s a lie. I also ordered S’mores Hot Chocolate and a regular hot chocolate their both taste the same like the packet hot chocolate 🤮

Excellent spot for a late nite dinner. Excellent service, good variety of food, and desserts are decadent and delicious. Many drink choices, including non-alcoholic choices. Will definitely visit again!

Fun little restaurant! The menu is limited. Do not base it off the website. The martinis are awesome! We got the chocolate mint and raspberry truffle. We also tried the chocolate shooters which were good! The food was ok. Sandwiches, burgers and pizzas. The dessert list is extensive. We got the peanut butter topped molten lava cake which was delicious! The service was very friendly! It was a fun date night!

We only stopped in for drinks and dessert when visiting but they were both great! If you need a sugar blast this is a good place to go. It's tight inside and can get busy so go at non peak times if you can. I would stop by when in town again.

One of my favorite places in Buffalo Downtown. The chocolate martinis are too die for. I love the Chocolate Orange Martini and the Nutella Martini. Others are great as well, but for my taste, these 2 take the crown.

The food was amazing. Drinks were delicious. It was a nice outing for me and my husband and our youngest who is 4. We sat outside and ordered more food than we could fit on one table. Ha. It was our first time going but definitely will not be our last! We ordered a margarita pizza for the kid. An appetizer plate with artichoke dip, carrots, celery, bread chips and corn chips. My husband got a ham and cheese panini with chips on the side and I got a bowtie pasta in a cheese sauce with a little bit of white chocolate in it and bacon. It was heavenly. For drinks, we ordered one swedish fish martini and one rasberry truffle martini. Yum! The drinks are to die for. Out of this world.

Took my friend for her birthday was super grossed out that the guy behind the counter touching every strawberry and banana with his bare hands, touching his glasses, putting his hands in his pocket, need I say more. Super gross then he turned around and put a glove on after we said something about it, put the glove hand in his pocket, pulled his phone out and started talking on the phone with the glove on. Then he took the same glove and started touching the food again. Needless to say I will never come back to the chocolate bar. Martinis were good

There was a white chocolate sauce on the posta that was great. My hot chocolate with Bailey's was also good and finally the fried Ravioli with another white chocolate sauce was delish. I enjoyed my chocolate experience.

Welp. I must say I was pretty disappointed. Last time I was here with my friend the service was slow but at least we got what we ordered. On a Tuesday evening when its not very busy we waited for a while to be served, then we take our order and wait again until I had to pay for another 40 minutes for my car to be parked in the street. We then got our food and it was okay. No complaints on my crab cakes. However when we were done I told the waiter I wanted the make your own smores thing. Instead got fondue for 2😕 . I mean smores and fondue dont even really sound similar so im confused how that mix up could happen. The real kicker though was the food for the fondue. (remember we wanted the smore thing not the fondue thing) You could tell that the food on the dish was pretty old. The strawberries looked like they been in the fridge for more than a week and a half. Not to mention bits of mold on one of them. The pretzels were stale and looked a bit wrinkly? If your pretzels are wrinkly that means its time to switch them out for fresher ones lol. However the brownie was good and the bananas were good also. Unfortunatly the main reason why I wanted to go to the chocolate bar was for the make your own smores because of how different and unique it is. So was it worth the very long wait? (we were there for probably more than a hour and a half with only a few people in the restaurant), no I wouldn't say so. Would I come back? Until i hear that the service is a bit faster. 😕

Parkside Candy, located in Buffalo's University Heights District, has been serving customers since 1927. The shop is known for its affordable ice-cream sundaes and delicious sandwiches. Its Victorian-style interior with intricate plaster moldings and mahogany display cases gives visitors a nostalgic experience. The bright pink and neon sign outside the shop draws attention to this unique candy store and ice cream parlor.
I love this original, historic Parkside Candy location in Buffalo. Its total vintage charm makes the shopping experience delightful! They offer a LOT of different chocolate treats, but I only ever buy the sponge candy, it’s my very favorite! I personally think it’s the best sponge candy. One time my friend and I sat in the special booth to have ice cream sundaes- that was fun!

My daughter and I visited for the very first time today. Loved looking around, amazed by the original decor. It was beautiful. Then I wondered over by the ice cream, I was looking at everything, and the woman behind the ice cream bar ( with short dark hair) asked if we are ordering anything, I told her yes, for here, and she told me to basically read the sign that we have to sit down and order from there. I didn't know, it was my first time there, and was enjoying looking at everything. She was VERY RUDE. I almost left. The waitress with the long blonde hair was lovely and very polite. The other woman should learn how to be polite. We drove at least 15 minutes to go to your shop. I will hesitate recommending this place to friends of mine if I know that this woman is going to be there and if she's going to continue to be rude. Unreal.

This store is super cute! I’ve walked by so many times and never realized how beautiful it looks from inside. I went in for some chocolates and they had a great selection - different flavors, with both sugar-free and regular options. I’d definitely go back, not just for the chocolates but to enjoy the charming decor
Shailja N — Google review
I purchased several different chocolate candies and specifically chose dark chocolate, but the candies did not taste like dark chocolate and were very sweet. Also eat them with in the next day because they started tasting stale on the second dau. However the chocolate truffles did taste better than the other Chocolate candies. The jelly and taffy, and lollipop candies were the better part of the selection. We also had the tuna sandwich lunch which tasted delicious, however I wish the chips came in a different flavor than plain. The staff was very courteous and helpful. But be warned if you use the restroom, all the doorknobs were broken or close to it. The stall wouldn’t lock and the ladies room didn’t have a lock so I had to hope no one came in.

Store is like stepping back in time. Pretty cool place. In all honesty though...chocolate is good. No doubt. And you can tell a lot of pride and care goes into making it but it's incredibly expensive and in my opinion the taste doesn't match the price. If I was walking by I'd stop back in but I won't be making a special trip.
Ross H — Google review
I have previously been a fan of this shop for ice cream as I like to support local businesses and enjoy the decoration inside. However, the past two times when we walk in the ladies working have been quite RUDE. The last time I visited I remember brushing it off because maybe the worker had a bad day. However, this time I entered with my mother and approached the ice cream counter and were looking at the ice creams for only ~5 seconds. When we said we would like to sit down the lady gave quite an exasperated and frankly annoyed look and stated “why nobody reads anymore I don’t know. It says on the counter that only to-go orders are placed at the bar.” Meanwhile we haven’t even had time to view the menu and the sentence that says that is at the BOTTOM of the menu. We were quite shocked by how rudely we were greeted and frankly even if I had read that anyone in the service industry should not speak to customers (or anyone) that way. Extremely disappointed. We left without ordering and they didn’t even say anything to us. Likely will not be back because this is a repeated issue and reading other reviews it seems the worker(s) know this is an issue and do nothing to change it. Maybe place a sign as you walk in or at the TOP of the menu. But really… just be nice. If this place closes I wouldn’t be surprised but don’t blame the public.

Anderson's Frozen Custard is a classic local spot offering delicious ice cream and frozen custard. With multiple locations, including the original one in Williamsville, it's a go-to place for Buffalo-born eats and treats. The menu features roast beef sandwiches on kimmelweck rolls, with an option for gluten-free buns made locally in Buffalo. The staff is known for being helpful and courteous, creating a great experience for families.
While this location seems to be smaller than other Anderson's locations, it's always clean and the servers are great. When things get busy, you sometimes have to park in the big parking lot across the relatively busy plaza entry traffic, but there are a small number of parking spots right next to the restaurant. As for the food, it's really good for the price, and the frozen custard is awesome. Personally, I'm a big fan of complex malted milkshakes, and the servers here have a great track record of combining all my desired ingredients and producing awesome shakes.

I saw the sign outside for 3-5 for special on milkshake and malts. So it been years since I had a Malt so I ordered the strawberry one. And it was quite a disappointment. It tasted like half malt and half milkshake. I had better malts with Shake Shack and thought it would be the same thickness but it was not it…. Never again :(

For food it was awful, 1☆, canned garbage cheese on nachos, gross food. But the dessert sundaes were very tasty. I had the turtle, my son the peanut butter chocolate one. I'll only go there for 4☆ dessert again. Thus, a 3☆ rating, can't do half stars!

Very definition of overpriced ice cream. Close to $20 for one pint on Goldbelly where I bought 6 from and it tasted exactly the same or even less quality than what I get at my local supermarket, but there I pay $5 for a pint. So ya, there is nothing spectacular about this ice cream and won’t be buying again. $5 is what they should be selling for. PS. I ordered custard and custard is supposed to be smooth while eating, my custards were grainy and disgusting. Several things can cause that to happen. Temperature wrong, made to fast, wrong ingredients, or too much ingredients. They were all grainy and that is not what custard is. Nice place, one of the best roast beef places!! Good veggie sandwich and vegan ice cream. My coworker LOVES their chix tenders! Rather pricey for some items. $6 for one scoop in a dish 😵‍💫

One of my favorite places in Buffalo by far. Everything is super cheap and their chocolate ice cream cake was amazing!

They have the bestest roast beef on wick! Absolutely mouth watering! When my husband goes to Buffalo, he brings me an unassembled sandwich so I can heat the beef and juice and assemble it and it is almost as good as when you eat there!

King Condrell's Candy and Ice Cream is a vintage-inspired shop that has been a Buffalo classic for 50 years. The store offers an array of homemade treats, including sundaes made with Perrys Ice Cream and various homemade toppings. The owners, Rick King and Karen Nowak, take pride in creating the ultimate ice cream sundaes by making all the toppings themselves, from fresh whipped cream to apple topping.
An absolute must-visit in Kenmore! We just had our first experience at King Condrell's, and WOW—this place is a dessert dream come true! From the moment we walked in, the retro charm and sweet smell of chocolate had us hooked. We ordered a little bit of everything: the iced frozen chai was perfectly spiced and refreshing, the princess chocolate pop was adorable and delicious, and the birthday cake ice cream tasted like a slice of heaven! But the real star? The build-your-own ice cream dish. We chose chocolate peanut butter brownie ice cream and loaded it with Reese’s, KitKat, hot fudge, and whipped cream—and it was every bit as indulgent and amazing as it sounds. What makes it even better? Everything is made from scratch—you can taste the difference. And to top it all off, the incredibly kind owner gave my daughter a free lollipop, which absolutely made her day. The staff was friendly, the treats were over-the-top in the best way, and we’re already planning our next visit. Whether you're craving ice cream, chocolate, or just a fun place to treat yourself—King Condrell’s is IT. 🍦🍫👑

A Must-Stop Sweet Spot in Kenmore, NY! If you’re ever in Kenmore, NY, King Condrell’s Candy and Ice Cream is an absolute must-stop! Their handmade ice cream and chocolate candy are next-level delicious. You can taste the love and craftsmanship in every bite. I had the Peanut Butter Fudge and wow—smooth, rich, and packed with flavor. I also took home some Oreo cookies dipped in chocolate, and they were dangerously addictive. Every treat was fresh, indulgent, and beautifully made right in-house. To top it off, the service was amazing—super friendly, fast, and welcoming. It really adds to the warm, nostalgic vibe of the place. Whether you’re looking for a quick scoop, a box of chocolates, or a sweet gift, King Condrell’s delivers. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent candy and ice cream shop located in Kenmore New york. Offering a wide range of homemade chocolates and candies in addition to an ice cream bar with old fashioned milkshakes and soda giving that old fashioned vibe. Highly recommend. We've been going here a very long time and at least stopping to get an Italian soda or two

Visiting Buffalo after many years. Happy to see this ice cream shop is still open! They make their own ice cream and fudge and both are great. Portions big and service amazing! Great flavors and toppings. This is a must visit in Buffalo!!!

I ordered a two scoop sundae with two different flavored ice creams and sauces. I don't have an issue with the ice cream or sauces. But the way it was served is very odd. Never in my many years of life and eating sundaes have they ever been served in a cup. How strange. Plus the image on Condrell's website shows it in a flat to go see through container.

As a kid I remember getting ice cream there. After not stopping there for at least 30 years, I recently paid a visit to indulge in a "Hot fudge sundae" while my wife tried a "Toffee crunch" sugar cone. OUTSTANDING! Even after 3 decades and a couple owners it did not disappoint! As I was leaving I had spotted the "Charlie Chaplin" candy and decided to grab a piece for home. I want to say this candy is so good should be outlawed! Hats off to the present owners and employees! It's great to see this "staple" to Kenmore being alive and well! See you again but it won't be 30 years later this time!

Nestled in the heart of Tonawanda, Donut Kraze is a delightful community coffee shop that offers an impressive array of doughnuts that will tantalize your taste buds. With a selection ranging from classic plain to innovative candy-bar mashups, this charming spot pushes the boundaries of what you thought a doughnut could be. Regulars flock here for their light and fluffy treats, which boast just the right balance between filling and flavor—far surpassing competitors like Paula's.
Stopped here from out of town and was very pleased that we found Donut Kraze. The service was very quick, and the ladies were sweet and friendly. They offer a large variety of donut flavors, along with a couple of other options like bagels/coffee. The donuts were VERY fresh and tasty.

*5/5 stars - Donut Kraze Is The Spot, Fam!* Ayy, let me tell you 'bout this donut shop, Donut Kraze, it's the real deal, bruh! I stumbled upon this joint thinkin' it was just gonna be your regular ol' donut spot, but nah, they got game! Their breakfast sandwiches is straight fire, fam! I'm talkin' 'bout the Bacon, Egg & Cheese on a fresh glazed donut, it's like a party in your mouth! The donut's all soft and fluffy, the bacon's crispy, the egg's all ooey-gooey, and the cheese is melted to perfection. I'm like, "What sorcery is this?!" And don't even get me started on their cherry donuts, bruh! They're like little pieces of heaven! The cherry filling is like a sweet bomb just waitin' to explode in your mouth. I like 'em a little bit underdone so the center's still all soft and gooey, it's like a little surprise in the middle. And the sprinkles on top, man... they're like the icing on the cake, or should I say, the sprinkles on the donut! Now, I know what you're thinkin', "Why's this dude goin' so hard for Donut Kraze?" And let me tell you, it's because they're on another level, fam! Their donuts is like art, man. They're like little masterpieces, all fluffy and soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside. And the flavors, man... they got so many flavors! But for real, the classic glazed and the cherry's all you need. I went in there with my boy, and we ordered like, half the menu. We got the sausage, egg & cheese, the bacon, egg & cheese, the ham & cheese... and let me tell you, they all hit different, fam! The sausage was spicy, the bacon was smoky, and the ham was all salty and good. And the donuts, man... we got like, 5 different kinds. We took pictures, we made videos, we even did a little donut review on the spot. The people at Donut Kraze, they're cool too, fam. They're all friendly and whatnot, like they're genuinely happy to see you. They're like, "What's good, fam? What can I get for you?" And they're all smiles and vibes. You can tell they love what they do, and that's what makes it so special. If you ain't never been to Donut Kraze, you gotta go, bruh. Trust me, it's worth it. You'll be singin' their praises like me, "Donut Kraze, Donut Kraze, it's the spot, fam!" Get there early, though, 'cause they get busy, and you don't wanna miss out on none of them goodies. I went back to Donut Kraze like, 3 times last week, and I'm not even ashamed to admit it. I'm like, a donut connoisseur now, fam! I know what I'm talkin' 'bout. And let me tell you, Donut Kraze is the real MVP. They got the magic, fam. I'm thinkin' 'bout startin' a donut blog, and Donut Kraze would be the first spot I'd review. I'd give 'em a whole section, like, "Donut Kraze: The Spot." I'd put pictures, videos, the whole nine yards. I'd make sure everybody knows about Donut Kraze. *TL;DR:* Donut Kraze got the best breakfast sandwiches and cherry donuts in the game, fam. If you ain't been, you gotta go. Trust me, you won't regret it. 5 stars ain't enough, I'd give 'em 10 stars if I could. I'll be back, and I'll be bringin' my friends. Donut Kraze, it's the spot, fam! P.S. If you're the owner of Donut Kraze, hit me up, fam! I got a proposition for you. I can be your official donut reviewer, and I'll make sure you get all the hype you deserve. Let's get it, fam!

Okay I was in at 144pm on Monday the first of September. And everything was amazing except the fact that the cashier took a photo of my kids and I sitting down to eat our food with her personal cell phone sideways and hid it from us. Highly unusual behavior for a cashier to secretly be taking photos of me and my kids in a place I had never been. I would of came back in the future because amazing service food atmosphere everything but that cashier made me uneasy because I dont know why she took a photo of me and my children eating the doughnuts we had just bought in a place we had never been in and none of us recognized her or know who she is. My son saw it also and asked me. Overall amazing place but that cashier took a photo of me and my kids and I cant figure out why. Its not for your website and if it is, probaly should ask the customer first but if not, why did she?

Ice cream shop
Lake Effect Ice Cream is an artisan ice cream shop with two locations in Lockport and North Buffalo. Founded by local friends, it offers over twenty-five unique flavors made in-house from premium ingredients. The flavors are locally inspired, such as loganberry, Revolution coffee, Paulas glazed donut, butter lamb, and sponge candy. The shop prides itself on using local ingredients to create one-of-a-kind flavors with a Buffalo twist.
I have been here a number of times. I have never had a bad experience. Attached are pictures from today's experience. On the menu it says to ask the cashier for the available flavors for the ice cream sandwiches. We ordered one of each flavor that they had available. Peanut butter cookies with chocolate ice cream and corn flake cookies with salted caramel ice cream. They were both great! The corn flake salted caramel tasted like a stroopwafel. There is a parking lot too. No indoor seating.

This place has some really good ice cream! We ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough and it was amazing. They have a lot of choices, nice clean and upbeat ice cream shop.

This is a really special place, with tons of inventive flavors but no frills. I went classic—“Extra Cookies, Extra Cream”—and was thrilled to find white chocolate swirled into this standby, a clever move. The ice cream is creamy, and the staff is kind. I only wish I lived in Buffalo so that I could come regularly and try every flavor, like “London Fog” (earl grey tea with chocolate-covered toffee) and cinnamon toast. Long may it reign.
Andrew R — Google review
Although the menu and flavour options were impressive and the portions were great, I actually did not enjoy the ice cream. I tried the London fog and the black raspberry flavours. The biggest dissapppintment of the ice cream was that they were both gummy (likely due to added gums or stabilizers) and both scoops were super sweet - coming from a person with a sweet tooth! I understand some people might like their ice cream that way and would disagree with me but if you prefer a more natural mouth feel or hard ice cream, I would choose otherwise.
M K — Google review
This place offers a wide variety of options in local and artisanal ice-cream. It's very creamy and delicious. The staff was also very helpful for any questions you might have. It has a nice seating area especially when it's summer, the perfect vibe. You can choose to get it in cup or cone, one/two/three scoops and with additional toppings if you want. If you like try local and artisanal things, this is a must try.

I was visiting cousins for July 4th and tried this place out for the first time, I forget the exact name of what I had but it was a strawberry bursting boba float with a scoop of strawberries and cream ice cream. Overall I really enjoyed it! Though the popping boba was a nice touch, It did kind of overwhelm the ice cream a bit.

The Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a renowned fast-food chain that offers a delectable selection of soft-serve ice cream and unique milkshakes. This traditional burger and fries establishment provides an enjoyable dining experience with its pleasant ambiance. Located conveniently in the vicinity of popular shopping areas, it attracts customers looking for a quick bite while out and about. The french fries are incredibly delicious, leaving patrons more than satisfied. Notably, the friendly staff goes above and beyond by delivering meals directly to tables.
I’m not sure what this thick liquid is on my toast, butter? It’s drowned in it and it almost looks like honey or something. The chicken had a hair on it. I’ve been to this location a few times and I’m always disappointed because the food feels like it’s prepared without care and the restaurant itself is always kind of gross and unclean. This time I couldn’t finish the meal it was just too gross. I don’t think I’ll give this place another chance again. I have been going to DQ my whole life and I can easily say this is the worst location I’ve ever been to and the grossest! If you read the other reviews you can see this is a trend. My experience with other restaurants like this is that they wont actually take this feedback to heart and do anything about it so this place is probably a lost cause.
Daniel P — Google review
If I could give this place zero stars I would i took my kids there for blizzards and it's an absolutely disgusting experience. They handed me a cup covered in chocolate and chocolate syrup all over the side, like no one even bothered to wipe it down. My hand is dripping out with syrup and ice cream, hanging out the window, and not a single napkin offered. I asked for it to be remade and they remade it WRONG. Again. I had to get out of my car, walk in, and ask for it to be remade again. While I’m standing there, another customer is complaining they messed up her order too. So clearly, this place is just consistently sloppy. Avoid this place at all costs. The hygiene is trash, the service is worse, and they clearly don’t care. Spend your money somewhere that respects you and cares about customer satisfaction.
Charlie P — Google review
We got served our ice cream before our food and finished it before we still had to go get our food. It's supposed to be brought to the table. It sat so long under the warming light it COOKED ranch dressing and the burger looked disgusting. No bun for allergy but they didn't put any toppings on. Dining room was filthy, super sticky floors. Saw people standing around when it was super busy. People started walking out. It seemed like only one person was working and she didn't move very fast. The grill guy had to stop making food to help with the counter. This place has gone downhill. Used to come weekly and won't be coming back.
Taylor K — Google review
I went here about 6 months ago and used the restroom before ordering. It was absolutely filthy, and I was pregnant at the time so I left without ordering food. If the bathroom and dining room were that dirty (sticky floors, food stains on the walls, garbage on tables), then I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. I recently decided to give them a second chance, and placed a mobile order. When I arrived, the employee told me the grill was down - at 1pm on a Thursday (peak lunch time!). They told me a manager would void my order and I could place another order for just the ice cream. I didn’t receive any receipt or proof that my mobile order was voided, and they marked it as completed and I was charged. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. It’s concerning that employees are dishonest about refunding mobile orders that they cannot fulfill. The sundaes I paid for separately were messily made, with caramel and whipped cream all on the outside of the cup. And again, no receipt.
Mandy — Google review
They are smiling and polite. Quick to fill our orders and present them upside down. We were just shocked to see how tiny and expensive our mini orders were. They also failed to inform us that their blizzards were only 85 cents if we would have ordered the small ones instead! We even tipped them and we paid $13 dollars total for two mini blizzards in cups the size of two bathroom mouthwash cups!! Shame.

I would have given a zero if it was an option. We went to get lunch and ice cream after a great morning celebrating Mother’s Day with our family. Ordered our food and the young girl at the register was having all sorts of issues trying to cash us out I was using cash, one would think this would be simple. Then we sat down in a corner both and waited for our food. I noticed the large picture on the wall behind where my wife was sitting in the booth was covered with splattered ice cream, table was not wiped and hadn’t been for a while. Then we went up to get our ice cream after we finished eating and had a token from my sons meal for his ice cream as we wanted it after his meal, so we used that for his cone and ordered two blizzards as well. Again took girl at register forever to figure out she owed me $1.46 change and she didn’t even get it right she gave me 1.41 instead, didn’t care it was only $0.05, but again frustrating that it took her literally forever to cash us out. Then she hands me my Son’s vanilla ice cream cone, I nicely said it’s suppose to have rainbow sprinkles. She looked at me like I had 10 heads, then walked to the back and talked to two other girls who were making the ice cream dishes and came back and said oh that’s not included with the meal/token. I said ok I can pay extra and she just said ok and walked away, I didn’t feel like having to talk to her again at this point, so I just listened to my 3 year old son complain that daddy didn’t get him sprinkles for the next 10 minutes while he ate his ice cream. I get businesses are hard pressed for team members right now but that girl has to go! Also, please clean your establishment absolutely disgusting, other DQs in the area are much better, stay away!!
Evan B — Google review
I was there with my kids last night and a little girl (8-9yr) had a small vomitting incident, instead of speaking in a calm manner staff were so rude to her and her family. The girl at the cash register kept rolling her eyes and another employee came up to the little girl and her mom to get off the premises in the most rude tone. The little girl was obviously feeling uncomfortable and the employee was yelling at her to get out and that they were not allowed to come again. The atmosphere is NOT what you want to come into after a long day at work or to come and relax. I cannot even blame the girl, the smell inside the DW was horrendous and was even making me feel nauseous. DQ NEEDS TO DO A BETTER JOB! The response to this incident was saddening to see. DQ Lancaster needs to do a better job at making sure employees are trained to handle all situations. The employee yelling was a tall young man with brown hair hat and glasses. I hope he gets the repercussions from the manager because how rude. It was so sad to see this through my own eyes as I am sure many of the other mothers there felt the same, “what if that happened to my child? would they treat us the same way?” DQ DO A BETTER JOB TO TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!! HAVE SOME EMPATHY! 0/5 rating from my end.

Walked in to purchase 2 Blizzards to go. The positives: The cashier was pleasant and efficient. The blizzards were standard, what we expected. The rest: Without exaggerating.... it was like walking into a 3rd world country. The noise from a large group of adult patrons was insane. Half the tables had trash left behind on them. 2 customers ahead of me in line were barely English-speaking and had an extensive order they were trying to place. Girl at register was sweet, and trying to help, but had that deer-in-the-headlights look. Items ordered come out quickly but simply placed up on a counter for customers to walk up and grab on their own with no indication of what's in the container or to which customer it belongs. Might be ok on a slow day but when busy, this system is a recipe for disaster. Lids are provided just below that counter to self-serve. Spoons are in an open basket - unwrapped, facing any which way - for customers to take on their own... so gross. I'm not at all looking for covid level precautions here but God knows how many people's hands touch a spoon before it's finally used. Finally... my shoes literally stuck to the floor. I left. Never again. I can count on one hand how many times I've been to any DQ in the past decade, and won't be doing it again anytime soon.

Churn Soft Serve & Coffee is a delicious ice cream shop that sources its milk from grass-fed cows. This makes the ice cream unique and refreshing, as well as nutritious. The toppings available at Churn Soft Serve & Coffee are also creative and delicious, making it one of Buffalo's most popular spots for soft serve ice cream.
Love the inside, very cozy and the staff are very nice. There was one employee and she was diligently working and quick might I say, considering I got 2 things and one not being ice cream. She was very sweet, made my experience better! I got the billionaire ice cream with dairy free / vegan coconut based soft serve and it was sooo delicious!! I got the large and upgraded to the waffle cone, good decision. I have dreams about this ice cream, it’s my favorite. The churro was made by order and it was soo good for a decent price.

Vegan soft serve isn’t what it used to be. I’m so sad to say - it used to be my favorite thing, creamy and perfect ice cream. But now it’s grainy and the taste is wrong. It’s less than one star but I’m leaving two stars because it did used to be good and maybe they will go back to their old recipe. But I don’t want to waste another $16 testing it out :(

Up until the last year or so, Churn would always be both my answer and suggestion/recommendation whenever folks were looking for a great dessert option. Soft and creamy ice cream, masterful topping pairings that created delicious treats, and welcoming customer service. What's not to love?? If I would've written this review a year or more ago, it's definitely a 5-star experience. Fast forward to today, it disappointments me to say that things have drastically changed. First off, I have to point out that the schedule is taking away business from Churn. Closing at 10 pm while being at a high volume/high traffic location misses at least another hour of significant sales that could be coming through. In fact, potenial sales have come through as I have seen several people turned away. Furthermore, why be closed on Sunday, especially during the hot summer season?? Again, missing out on both money and a market where the demographic in North Buffalo has shifted to young adults and young families, many of whom enjoy patronizing their local neighborhood businesses. Secondly, the quality of the desserts have dramatically changed. Particularly, the texture of the coconut ice cream is horrid. I wish I could say that I was being hyperbolic, but in reality I'm probably being tame. The ice cream is grainy and oddly artificial tasting. It's almost like eating a chunky slushy. Totally off-putting. Outside of that, I would say that the quality of the desserts in general has changed in more subtle ways over the years. It no longer has that "wow factor" from yesteryear. Lastly, the customer service has also noticeably changed. To be fair, many of the staff have seemed stressed, frustrated, and irritable. Given that multiple staff have presented this way, it feels like a workplace issue. As such, that has led to staff being curt and short during customer interactions, which predictably impacts the dessert experience and does not inspire people to want to pay inflated prices. Here's hoping for positive change!

Love this place still..Now that the winter months are upon us, it's good to know that Churn will be staying open all year round. This visit I got the month special, it was the German chocolate sundae. The ice cream was flavored like custard or even butter cream ice cream, and it was topped with chocolate syrup, coconut shavings, pecans, caramel and of course chocolate cake as the base. Very good treat to have, especially at this time of year.

Nestled in Buffalo's Old First Ward, Mazurek's Bakery has been delighting locals since 1933 with its mouthwatering array of baked goods. Renowned for their Polish-style rye bread and an impressive selection of pastries, cookies, and cakes, this beloved bakery is a go-to spot for many families. Patrons rave about the freshness of their daily-baked breads like seeded rye and New York rye. The warm atmosphere makes it a cherished destination for special treats or holiday traditions.
This is the type of bakery I grew up with throughout Buffalo. Old school awesome bakery. I order their Anise Christmas cut out cookies every year for my family members for Christmas. And they will ship it to Florida . I love Mazurek bakery!

This place is one of a kind, it's a bakery so the earlier you go the better. They have donuts that are different but amazing! The bread is so good and the brownies are the best. I hope you try them out and enjoy!

I called the week before Fat Tuesday to place a order for 1 King Cake. Thr man on the phone was polite but said they were not taking anymore orders for King Cake but to come in Fat Tuesday morning and they should have some in store. I drove to this bakery from 40 minutes away on his suggestion. I entered the bakery and while busy, it looked very drab with very few pastries out. I asked for a King Cake and was told none where ready for at least a hour! I wasn't going to wait in my car for a hour IN HOPES of getting one. He then offered to sell me a Polish donuts instead. I needed the King Cake for a Gumbo Dinner so a polish donut doesn't help me.....I felt like he didn't care about meeting my needs as a customer, he was just trying to make a sale.......Anyways I left empty handed and went to another family bakery 15 minutes away in West Seneca. They were equally as busy, if not more wirh a line out the door but still had some beautifully decorated King Cakes for walk in sale!!. So although I can't rate the food, the experience was a waste of my time.

My family took me here for a birthday lunch. Everything we ordered was very good. The best part, however were the deserts (brought home to eat). My wife's favorite dessert is the macaroons.
Sean G — Google review
I wanted to give this joint five stars. But, their menu is just not that inventive, or creative. Their dinning room is dope. Their sweet crepe was good. But, their savory crepes were okay. So, I am torn. I'd say 3.7 stars, not a full 4 stars. Service was good. Fast.
Marcellin K — Google review
Pastry by Camille, is a French inspired restaurant/bakery. The inside reminds me of a place on the west side called, sweetness 7. I say this because, you have a hipster like vibe and the furniture is mismatch. Today's visit was all about the pastries, so my 3 stars is based off the deserts. My wife ordered the tiramisu and I had the St Honore. The tiramisu was not your traditional desert. I am not sure if the base of the desert, was a cake or cookie. But it was good.. My St Honore, was not what I expected. The base was not a biscuit but it wasn't a cake, not sure what it was. But it was extremely hard, along with the candied topping on the cream puffs. Maybe I am not a fan of french pastries, so am I wrong to want this desert softer??? Maybe..I don't know..but I wouldn't order the St Honore again. There were other deserts available such as macaroons, tarts and creme brulee's. They also had different types of croissants, including a chocolate chip version.
J H — Google review
This place is so cute and definitely worth going. The atmosphere is wonderful. The only reason I said 4 stars is the service was a little shaky. The food is worth it and it's a great story!
Kelly L — Google review
We've been here twice since July (and we live in Virginia)! Love the laidback atmosphere and kind and passionate staff. Crêpes are to die for. Especially the savory chèvre miel. This last visit we got the strawberry basil. St. Honoré was my favorite pastry. Lemon meringue was my husband's. All they're missing is espresso for a true French experience! I'm not local, but I can imagine it being a great spot to host an open mic night for singer songwriters, or poetry.

This is the best croque madame I've had since the Champs Elysee. The set up is a bit confusing but worth figuring out. The little kids play space was fantastic. Also, extra points for a changing table in the restroom. If I weren't already coming for the great food, I'd come for the kid friendly amenities. I would like to have seen a kid's menu, though.

I absolutely love this bakery! This is the only bakery that I will get cakes and other pastries from. They are amazing and so personable. They also remember their customers and take the time out of their day to get to know you. To top it off, all of the cakes I have gotten from here are absolutely beautiful and so yummy. I always show them pictures of what I want for a specific cake and they never fail to exceed my expectations, actually the cakes always end up looking better than the photo that I show! I definitely recommend Carriage Trade Pastries, you won't regret it!

Cute local bakery with delicious treats. We discovered this gem on the way to Moriarty Meats. This was our first time and won’t be our last. We would like to try and come back earlier another time. It seems they didn’t have a lot in stock because I’d assume it was already sold out for the day. Lucky for us there was still enough for us to sample some treats. We took home a cinnamon roll, coconut macaroon and a croissant. The cinnamon roll was out of this world and the coconut macaroon was huge and the best I’ve ever had. The croissant was ok, not quite as light and flaky as I’d prefer but the other items made up for it. Looking forward to trying some scones and other items another day. Staff was wearing masks and facility felt clean.

Thank you thank you... for making the persimmon tart you made us... My mother was lying in the ICU for 3 weeks.. This review is based on my recent visits under the new ownership. I can't sing their praises enough. The cases are always full, their hours are longer, the people are amazing!! They are knowledgeable, clean, accommodating and reasonably priced. I ordered a cake for my sister's birthday. She came in and baked it on a Monday when they were supposed to be closed. If you are a bride or a milestone birthday or an overachiever mom who wants a decked out kids cake, you need not look any further than the fine folks at Carriage Trade.

I ordered a cake and picked it up for my fathers 67th birthday today. The lady at the counter (I’m sad I didn’t get her name), was so helpful and very friendly. This was my family’s first time ordering from here and they did not disappoint at all. The cake was delicious as well as the raspberry clouds! We will definitely be ordering our birthday cakes and other sweets from here again ☺️

Have been ordering from this bakery for over 15 years. Even with a change in ownership, the quality is top notch and I didn't even know until recently. Their Carrot cake is world class, best ( need to order) . Daily made quiches define quiche perfection in texture and taste. Shortbread cookies are the right balance of indulgence and whimsy, especially when ordered for special occasions ...and the price beats the competition for those in need of corporate orders. Lovely daily offerings fresh from the ovens by two great gals.

Famous Doughnuts, established in 1938 by Teddy Roehm in Buffalo, is now run by his son Richard and wife Pamela. The shop is known for its traditional flavors like peanut crunch and glazed squares. Customers appreciate the lightness of the donuts compared to other shops. While some find the variety limited, others enjoy the soft and fresh texture of the donuts. Additionally, customers can also purchase coffee and play lottery tickets at this establishment.
Another local favourite, it seems! Very affordable prices at $1.50 each for great quality donuts. If you spend over $5, you can pay with a card. Decent amount of options to choose from despite coming more later in the afternoon. I really recommend the classic glazed donut. It was very soft and fluffy. I would totally come back again when I'm in the area.
Cindy N — Google review
Stopped in today (day before Easter) as the place is in my neighborhood and I was interested in what they had. Bought 3 donuts, which came to less than $5.00! The square glazed, the round peanut one, and an eclair/ Bavarian cream. Each one was great. My husband raved about them, too! I could see why they were busy, with many customers buying a dozen donuts.
Wendy T — Google review
The best donuts in Western New York. I think I've tried about every donut in the area and a true classic like this is hard to deny. The donuts were fresh, tasty and the experience was of a bygone nostalgic era. If youve been to the rest and never tried Famous, you're missing out. It's old school fare with charm. My suggestion is to get a bakers dozen of the glaze. You won't be able to stop eating the whole box.
Brandon B — Google review
I just moved up here this past summer and this place right here is one of the few reasons so far I’m glad I did lol the legit best glazed donut I’ve ever had in my life is here and just about every other flavor or variant they have, you can’t go wrong. Try your best to order just one, but after your first time, there’s no way you just come back for one at a time. Prices are great too.

Date of Visit: Sunday Aug 6th Good old fashioned doughnut shop. They make doughnuts for wwholesale and retail. The shop is a large bakery -with a small retail sector. The doughnut flavours are very classic and traditional flavours. They are very fresh and well made – with a soft dough.

Not a bad little donut shop. Went because the hype looked like it would be awesome it was ok to be honest. They only had a handful of flavors and types. The staff seemed nice and we got in and out of there within 5 mins. Got a glazed twist and cinnamon bun type donut. It wasn't too fluffy-ish but more on the dense side was tasty but not my favorite place I've been. They only really seem to take cash and only allow card over purchases over 5 bucks. Just wish there was more variety for the hype of reviews.

Went for donuts this morning on a whim and was not disappointed. Got a fresh glaze donut ($1.15) and a bag of day olds ($1.50), which has 6 variety donuts in it. All the donuts were delish and the day old ones just needed a little reheat. Definitely recommend checking this place out for great glaze and "simple" fancy donuts.

If i could give a 0 I would. I would not recommend this place to anyone which is very sad since it USED to be one of my families favorites. We ordered a butter rum cake with strawberry filling & almonds on the outside. When we opened it up it was the completely wrong cake, the frosting was wrong, there were no almonds on the side & the cake itself was not good. We gave them a call to see what could be done & the lady on the phone said they dont have butter rum & the best she could do was give us some almonds to stick on the side. She first said she didnt even have a cake order with almonds or anything like we were describing. The miscommunication between staff & the gaslighting of customers is astounding & we will never be ordering again unfortunately. Hopefully they figure out how to treat a customer & be honest with their customers about what they offer.

I purchased a Reese Cup blizzard cake and picked it up on Friday. The gentleman that took my order said oh this is the first cake to be ordered. He asked me if frosting went around the bottom. I said there was icing at the bottom. He said, "Okay, I ordered and paid for this cake on Thursday and picked it up on Friday the 25th of April. I ordered a Reese Cup blizzard cake on April 24th, paid for it and picked it up on Friday the 25th of April. I have ordered this cake a handful of times in the past and I was completely satisfied not only with the appearance, but the cake was delicious. I got a cake with yellow icing on the bottom. I asked why is the icing yellow, he said I ran out of white. I was so dissapointed, but I ordered the cake for my family. I paid over $30 for this cake, and everyone was asking why is the icing yellow on the bottom. I told them why, and they said I shouldn't have taken it. That was our dessert, I am sorry. The gentleman that took my order said ohh this is the first cake order. I had a bad feeling when he said that. Nevertheless, I was very disappointed when I saw the yellow icing. It took away from.the look of the delicious cake. I have never had a problem with blizzard cakes until now.

Dairy Queen, a renowned fast-food chain, offers an array of delectable soft-serve ice cream and signature shakes as their main attractions. Their milkshakes are particularly adored by young ones. While the overall food quality may be average, the appetizing appearance portrayed in advertisements doesn't always translate to reality. However, if one sticks to Dairy Queen's ice cream products like their shakes and delightful ice cream cakes, they can expect consistent satisfaction.
Dairy Queen has some many ways to make ice cream fun. The cakes here are great for birthdays or just a sweet tooth. 🎂 We Love our ice cream even in the winter. Unfortunately this location is not open all year. See you in the spring! 🌸🌼

They only have soft serve. They have tons of different blizzard flavors. Sadly, they don't actually twist the "twist" ice cream. Also, you cannot taste a difference between the chocolate and vanilla, it has become quite tasteless. Even the chocolate Blizzard we got did not look like chocolate (see pic). This past time we went, 95% of the tables were dirty. It was not busy at the time, so one of the two workers could have cleaned them. The garbage outside was overflowing, and some was blowing away. The atmosphere indoors in general is not great. Very cold and bare. Sitting outside is nice if the tables are clean. You can buy cakes and other frozen treats to go.

We initially went to a DQ down the road but after 10 min the line hadn't moved and one of the patrons told us he has been waiting a half-hour and if he hadn't already paid, he'd leave. So we left there and came here which seemed to be the polar opposite in a good way. Anytime we come here the workers are just so friendly and fast. Even during their busy season or after school the wait is never wrong. Online and the sign says open at 10:30am. Our family came there and clearly saw a worker in there, but she would not help us. The window was still closed regardless of the open sign being fully lit up. We went going to leave the parking lot and saw another customer being helped so we went back to the window. The worker did take our order than told us, it would be 5-10mins extra since the machines just were turned on. This is unacceptable, if a worker cannot come to work on time they should be the opening worker or maybe hire someone to open the restaurant PRIOR to the opening time.

This is usually my go to white rabbit location until today. So today I went in around 9pm and asked for a vanilla dairy free milkshake cashier was very polite, and it was a very short wait time, everything was perfect until I took a sip of my shake in the car. At first I thought it was the texture but something was just off. So they gave me another shake and it was very milky again with an off taste. Long story short it was the end of the ice cream and it taste like freezer because the top was not all the way on. I didn’t ask for a refund ( and I was not offered a refund )I gave back both milkshakes and left.

What a fantastic dessert experience. First time, and it didn't disappoint. They certainly are dancing around the copyright laws with the theme. But the place deliverers. Ice cream is very smooth, and creamy. And the brownie was one of the best I've ever had. Cookies I was less impressed with, so there's your warning. Caramel and chocolate sauce toppings earn top honors. Will return soon. A bit more pricewise, but large enough portions.. and it's that good.

Ice cream shop
The Cookies & Cream On Elmwood ice cream shop is a popular spot for delicious treats. The ice cream is made from fresh ingredients and tastes amazing, much better than cheaper brands found at other stores. The shop also has a wide variety of cookies to choose from, all of which are equally as delicious. Highly recommended!
I wish that we would’ve come here sooner! Cookies and Cream on Elmwood is one of the coolest ice cream spots in Buffalo. It’s beautiful and nostalgic. Delicious ice cream sundaes are served up by the friendliest staff. We are looking forward to a quick return to cookies and cream!

The workers are always so sweet and friendly and the scoops are a good size! I'm a sucker for some soft serve but their blizzards are so tempting! They have all the toppings you would possibly want. The location is also great - right in the hustle and bustle of Elmwood and the perfect place to walk to after dinner elsewhere.

Delicious delicious cookies! My favorite is the macadamia cookies, it’s soft and melts in your mouth. The ice creams are also great! The strawberry cheese cake ice cream flavor tops it off for me.

Stopped by for some dessert with my girlfriends. The price was not bad at all. I ordered the toasted or roasted (cant remember) coconut ice cream. Im a huge coconut lover. This is by far some of the most delicious and flavorful coconut flavored ice cream I've ever had. I don't live anywhere near this ice cream shop, but I will definitely make it my mission to make my way back here for some more of that coconut 🥥 ice cream.

I had a really poor experience ordering from here via door dash. I ordered a few things to be delivered to my hotel room. One of the items was out of stock. I received an email, stating that I would get a refund but no one reached out and asked if I wanted something else as a replacement. I didn’t see this email until after my dasher delivered my order with the item missing. When I called, the people I spoke with weren’t really apologetic or have much of an answer when I asked why I wasn’t notified of the out of stock item. After the call was over, I noticed that I also didn’t receive the sprinkles I ordered or even receive a spoon. I certainly didn’t receive a refund for the sprinkles either.

We stopped here as part of a brief stopver in Buffalo while on our way to Erie PA. After lunch and a record store field trip, ice cream was perfect before getting back on the road. The atmosphere was cute and clean, very much a retro soda shoppe feel. Hubby tried a cookie and loved it, while I sampled the ice cream. I actually asked for soft vanilla, as it was supposed to be custard, but it tasted more like the ice-milk variety. Maybe that is more common in this part of New York? At any rate, a pleasant experience overall.
Jackie A — Google review
We stopped in after dinner down the street, and it did not disappoint! We got a HUGE ice cream sandwich to go, and the cookies and the ice cream were both fantastic. There were a lot of flavors. Their other goods looked creative and delicious. The atmosphere is charming, as well! I will absolutely be coming back.
Amanda R — Google review
I've only been here once and I only tried one flavor of ice cream (no cookies) so this review is written specifically for people who, like me, love chocolate peanut butter ice cream. This was the best scoop I've tried in WNY (Sweet Jenny's is second) but I especially appreciated that the very busy young woman scooping the ice cream went out of her way to try to get peanut buttery scoops after I told her I liked the ribbons of peanut butter. I also thought the portion size was really generous. I liked the feel inside and the outside dining area was nice. It was busy, and the line was long, but the staff were kind and moved quickly. The friends I went with liked their blizzard and cookies and I look forward to going back.

Ice cream shop
Nick Charlaps, a young entrepreneur, inherited his family's ice cream making facility located in the picturesque rolling hills of Boston. The facility is situated next to Charlaps Dairy Farms Inc., a milk plant established by his grandfather near Buffalo. Visitors can enjoy their delicious dairy and dairy-free options while relaxing in shaded seating with waterfront views.
Right on the water, shaded seating nearby. They have delicious dairy AND dairy free options!

Would not recommend. Two out of three ice cream cones had hair in them . All were different flavors. Don’t waste your time.

Ice cream shop
Dairy Queen, a well-known ice cream shop and treat destination, offers a variety of soft-serve ice cream options and signature shakes as the highlights of their menu. This classic fast-food chain is loved for its friendly staff and convenient daily operating hours until 10pm in the summer. Their sundaes stand out with delectable warm brownies, while their blizzards boast a wide selection to choose from.
We had a great experience getting ice cream on a hot and sunny day! The staff is very friendly at this location and we love that they are open daily until 10pm in the summer. The warm brownies in their sundaes are so delicious! Big selection of choices for blizzards too. We will be back soon.

This is a mobile hub location there is no dining option whatsoever only take out and it's just a little stand that you get like your ice cream or frozen dessert at only there's no exclusive menu menus pretty inclusive has a lot of things going on with it the only reason I would give it a three on the atmosphere because outside unless it's a great day it's not awesome to sit outside and the service gets a four-star because they had me confused with somebody else they had me just standing there for a few minutes but it wouldn't take very long so it's never going to take me more than like 5 to 10 minutes to get a quick like blizzard or a smoothie or send or anything

So love your ice cream creations. Great friendly service.

Love Dairy Queen!!! Been to this spot a time or two and it's always great... The area is usually free of debris with tables to sit down and enjoy your food. Basically just your normal ice-cream spot where you walk up, check out the menu and place your order. Pricing is usually fair and the service is always at it's best with staff being very friendly. Great place to come with the kids or for a date!!!

Greeting was so nice... The person who took the order was so polite

Sells ice cream and drinks (no dinner type food at this location and also doesn't participate in the upside down blizzard promotion). Nice and efficient staff. Area usually kept clean. Nice spot for a quick blizzard or drink especially if you're taking a walk.
Sarah L — Google review
The woman who owns this location is lovely!!! So very polite and sweet!! She has given the place a makeover and it looks fabulous!! She has no idea who I am, but every time I visit she takes the time to look me in the eye, smile and say hello to my gorgeous baby. It's our favorite Ice cream shop.
Joanna C — Google review
This DQ location has one of the finest services ever. I tried blizzard and cake shake here and they never mess up the order. The employees are quite good. They are fast and always deliver perfectly. I prefer this location to the Niagara falls blvd. DQ. Also, there's good parking space here and the location is good.

Can’t complain about a soft serve peanut butter with rainbow jimmies! Thanks!

This is a very small place in the Boston Naval museum, a very nice place to go for ice cream and for a walk. I had vanilla ice cream in a cone, and it was delicious. The texture was a little different from what I am used to. I recommend it if you are in the area. The 4 stars only because they didn't have that many options, but it is understandable because of the size of the place.
Sergio ( — Google review
Disappointing: only soft serve and ice cream tastes artificial. Was really hoping for something better at the waterfront in Buffalo.
Anna A — Google review
Absolutely love this ice cream! I go down to the Buffalo Naval Park and go to every stand! The Buffalo Chicken Crunch rolls are amazing! & the lemonade is perfect! Than for desert obviously ice cream! There is so many flavors to chose from I at least had them ALL already. The staff is so friendly and welcoming I will for sure be back! & ps. My dogs LOVEEE the ice cream too!
