Breakfast restaurant
Le Pain Quotidien is a rustic-chic bakery and cafe chain that offers classic light fare and organic breads. Founded in Belgium in 1990, the brand has expanded to over 200 locations worldwide, including three in Tokyo. The founder's commitment to high-quality, ordinary bread made from organic stone-ground flour is evident in their menu, which includes hard-to-find bread types such as Walnut or Rye Sourdough.
The brunch plate was well balanced and was delicious. The staff were friendly and were seated right away. I’d say the only complaint was being seated really close to another table despite having other openings; I felt like we were eating with the couple next to us.

They have to learn what a Croque Monsieur is when they put it on the menu with no pictures. To charge 2000¥ for this is a joke. The service is getting worse. The sizes smaller. I would not advise it anymore as it is overpriced and kins of a joke a food.
Thierry G — Google review
Hugely Disappointed! Le Pain serving stale, day old croissants - at full price. Never before @ Le Pain worldwide experience this. This is Tokyo … where fresh, expected! Very friendly service but shocked by a tasteless, stale croissant. Unacceptable . Please, be honest with customer: Day Old _ 1/2 Price” Or don’t sell.
Stephen G — Google review
The best bread in Tokyo. They also have very authentic pain au chocolat. I had a tartine with chicken, mushrooms and Gruyere. The hot chocolate was also good, thick and dark, but the quantity was deplorable - it comes with a cup of milk into which you re supposed to pour the chocolate, but there is at least 6 times as much milk then the chocolate.

Amazing restaurant. The atmosphere feels like a home in the countryside of France. The food is healthy and great portions for the price. It is a bit pricey but honestly it's well worth it. Surprisingly the best bread I've had and it's in Japan haha. :)

Very nice, relaxing place for breakfast. We had a pain au chocolat, a ham and cheese croissant, an iced mocha and a raspberry lemonade. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was friendly. We enjoyed our time here while we planned our day

Bagel shop
Bakery
Maruichi Bagel is a bagel specialty shop in Tokyo, inspired by the famous New York bakery 'Ess-a-Bagel.' The female owner fell in love with New York-style bagels and opened this simple setting shop. The bagels are made by letting the dough proof, boiling it, and then finishing it in the oven to achieve a crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior.
Bagels are freshly baked and there are constant customers coming in and going out. One bagel is fairly huge and chewy. Cream cheese filling is generous. There are plenty of options to consider including whole wheat and rice bagels. Limited seating and accept card. Quite a walk from Shimbashi Station.
Lily R — Google review
I stumbled upon this bagel shop after strolling around the area. Staff was very welcoming. At noon there were few customers, no line. I ordered freshly baked cinnamon and raisin bagel with raisin walnut soy cream cheese and jamon Serrano ham. They accept cash and cards. I waited for my order around 5 minutes. The place is quite small, only 5 seats available indoor. And few more seats outdoor. The bagel was huge and I almost couldn’t finish them. Everything perfectly goes together. The bagel was crisp and chewy (but not for long if you don’t finish them quick enough. I would recommend to stop by this place.
KP P — Google review
Welcoming staff and delicious bagels! Thankful it opens early compared to most food spots. I had the garlic bagel with salmon and enjoyed every bite.
Sidra C — Google review
ı am in search for a NY style 🥯 and found this shop that offers their own unique twist — literally. They’re hand-twisted into beautiful shapes, giving them a distinctive look and texture. One of the highlights for me was the germinated brown rice bagel. It’s not something you come across often, and it was surprisingly tasty — definitely more flavorful than the whole wheat option. I also tried a small plain bagel to get a sense of the base flavor, and it held up really well. I also picked up a sesame bagel— I enjoyed it with watermelon and cheese, one of my favorite summer combos, especially with sesame bagels. Their sesame bagel was gooood 🤩. The sandwiches you see in the photos are actually my own variaton, but the bagels themselves are from here — and they turned out great. If you’re open to trying a creative, local twist on the traditional bagel, this place is worth checking out!
Elif B — Google review
Such a cute bagel place hidden away! The bagels were super soft and flavoursome, and the workers were super warm and friendly. I got the everything bagel with saba salad, and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Both 10/10. I love that the everything bagel has chunks of rock salt baked into it 🥯
Uyen — Google review
Love their bagels 🥯 BiG and warm 🤤 Came here at 11:30 and 3 out 4 bagels were still warm 😙 Surprised how BIG they are Only wish they had strawberry cream cheese !! Came here before around 1-2pm and they sold out so be careful
James F — Google review
I’ve been a huge fan of MARUICHI BAGEL ever since they opened in Yoyogi Uehara. Their bagels always remind me of authentic NYC style bagels and the way they make their sandwiches. I’m always impressed by the quality! The staff are friendly and polite, though it might take a little time to choose your bagel they have so many great options. Highly recommended!

Tasty and beautiful handmade bagels (you can find vegan and vegetarian solutions too). Staff is super kind and friendly. Absolutely recommended!

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Dai is a renowned sushi spot located in the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. Despite its humble setting, it offers some of the freshest and most skillfully prepared sushi in the area. The restaurant is known for its Omakase menu, which showcases 10 expertly chosen pieces by talented chefs, reflecting seasonal flavors. Additionally, Sushi Dai is famous for its breakfast selection, drawing long lines of locals and tourists eager to savor its delicious offerings.
Exceptional service and freshness of food. Highly recommended 👌 Get here early, lastest 7.30 am, for a chance to enjoy this quality omakasa 5500 yen+ addons. Cash only Meticulous service, great attention to detail. Super fresh fish. We arrived here on a weekday around 730am. for the omakasa. Barely made it for a service for 1120 am and need 2000yen for deposit. Shop is very cozy around 13 counter seats and a 2 seater table. All the sushi are well seasoned. Everything was super fresh. You could taste the ocean and the sweetness of the fish. Overall, it was very enjoyable.
Jason T — Google review
I have been visiting Sushi Dai every time I visit Tokyo since 2013 when they were still at the old Tsujiki market. The waiting experience is so immensely improved compared to those heady days of waiting in line since 3am. Nowadays you just need to show up before 5am when the building opens, to get a reservation of your choosing, starting at 6am at the earliest when the restaurant itself opens. Sushi Dai works in rounds, meaning all customers cycle through at the same time. Considering they only have about 12 bar seats and 1 table, this means that when you return at the reserved time, the wait to get in might be another 5-10 minutes. I have been requesting Chef Yuuki since the very beginning, and luckily they have accommodated my request every time, but every chef here speaks a little bit of English, and knows the name of the fish they serve in many languages. I've always had fun meeting people from different countries during the meal, but despite what haters say, every time I visited there was at least 1 group of Japanese customers (who came from elsewhere in Japan). So this is not just a restaurant for foreigners. I can assure you Sushi Dai still has that magic combo of the freshest fish at the most reasonable price served in the least stuffy environment. I always make sure to order a piece of shellfish, and the chef will put on a show of hitting it right before serving so it wiggles in front of you - that's how fresh the food is here.

We woke up at 3am and took a taxi to line up for 2 hours. When we got there we were 10th in line. I must say it was the best sushi I had in Japan! Everything was so fresh! So good that I went twice! Definitely worth trying! Highly recommend going at the beginning of the trip.
Will T — Google review
Fish was only okay - not worth the hype if you’re used to amazing quality and doesn’t compare to other places in Japan. Maybe they save the good quality for the first time slots, locals, and influencers? Woke up early to wait in the 3-5AM queue and was just able to get a 9 AM slot as the queue was long by 4:30. Line is moved to the restaurant right at 5AM and 1 person can reserve for 3+ with a cash deposit so earlier you’re able to taxi or walk (subways closed until 5), the better. Host speaks English and moves quick. The space is a typical counter seating, has 1 table for 3, and coat check. The food- green tea and a first course provided once you sit down. Some people had both yellow tail and octopus first but some did not (unsure why). Octopus was very chewy. Chefs are not serving the same fish at the same time and provide randomly for each of their parties. The basics were fine but nothing special. The horse mackerel was terribly chewy, the abalone is an acquired taste, the scallops were meh, the cooked fish cheeks were very saucy, a few other bites felt chewier than they should be. No fish was great. Was not a good intro coming from NYC. So far everywhere in Japan has been significantly better than Dai. Service was good and the chefs and staff were all friendly and kind.
Danielle F — Google review
Absolutely worth waking up at 4 am! The sushi tastes amazing and great value for money. What I love most is the whole experience. The chef makes me enjoy every piece and I noticed everyone leaving the shop with a joy. I arrived around 5.20 am and got a queue for 6 people at 8.40 am, and it was totally worth the wait. Super recommend👍🏻
C S — Google review
Hail Sushi Dai. Recommended to me by my friend since he saw it on social media. He did give me a good tip that if you do want to try them out, go earlier in your trip so if you have trouble with jet lag, you can just wait in line in the morning haha. Also, make sure you check their hours and days that they are closed. I didn't realize they would be closed on Wednesday, so wasted an early morning day :/ Also, uber might drop you off across the street. So make sure you get dropped off underneath the bridge. Lined up on a Thursday at 4:10 AM. There were about 15-20 people in front already. Moved inside around 5AM where they took times you wanted to eat. I opted for the 6AM slot. You have about an hour to kill, so go across the street to the fish market to walk around. I wanted to have a diabolical experience...so I told the chef to order everything off the menu. Do not recommend. I wasn't hungry based on the meals I ate the night before...so absolutely stuffed myself. Also, I would have went back and told him to do only nigiri. I got plates full of sashimi lol. Overall, meal was very good. Everything was insanely fresh and the experience was great. Ended up paying 31,900 yen, ~$215USD. Which was still an insane deal for how much I ate. But staff was shocked to see me rung up for one for that price haha. Check the IG for more in-depth view! @shoyuthebest

The hype was reaaalll!!! I wish it wasn't so because it was very hard to get a ticket (5 am lined up and got a slot for 8:40 am) but it was soooo worth it. The food was so fresh and delicious. I wasn't a big fan of raw fish but this converted me. Nothing was fishy and the ginger and scallion flavour for some of the fishes made them taste like the steamed ginger and scallion Chinese dish. Our chef was sooooo friendly and happy. He was attentative and noticed I was left-handed and made adjustment to my dish/ginger placement. He was also very nice to chat with. I heard him speak Japanese, English, Cantonese and Mandarin to customers. A must-try experience. ❤️😀
Ashley — Google review
Had the pleasure to go twice over the last month! Staff was warm and welcoming! The freshest sushi possible! We had the omakase course, which was unforgettable! Don’t forget to check the extra dishes that can be ordered on the separate menu as add ons! Freshest shrimp sashimi I’ve ever had - the only way it gets fresher might be be if you swallow a shrimp under water 😂 The Tuna Cheeks are incredible, ordered 2 on the first visit and 3 on the second visit! To get a table you have to arrive at 5-6 AM then choose the time of your meal based on availability!

Japanese sweets restaurant
Taiyaki Hiiragi is a well-known confectionery shop in Japan with a long-standing reputation dating back to the Meiji era. The establishment is famous for its fish-shaped pancakes filled with an array of delightful fillings, including red bean paste, custard cream, chocolate cream, sweet potato cream, cheese, and matcha dough. These treats are best enjoyed warm and fresh. Visitors praise the crispy exterior and generous filling of the taiyaki.
Yummy yummy yummy! Crispy and warm outside but soft inside with meshed red beans. Ice cream was rich and creamy milk flavored. Combination was great 👍
Juju Z — Google review
It’s a quality taiyaki for sure! Freshly made and filled with so much red bean paste. The red bean paste texture is not the super smooth type, it has real red bean bits inside so there’s some texture! There’s no long queue here but many people just drop by to take away. I prefer slightly less filling, my preferred ratio, but it was still a good find. Recommend for azuki lovers!
Rennie L — Google review
Located in a quiet neighbourhood, but there was still a small queue (testament to their yummy taiyaki). It was great to find an eggless offering which is vegan friendly. Taiyaki was cooked fresh and we enjoyed in a nearby park.
Benjamin R — Google review
Went during closing hours so late in evening. The bean paste was too full and delicious but overall the crispy texture and filling together rather felt a bit average. The sweetness was mellowes down a bit.
Chandrika — Google review
Little window shop with all vegan taiyaki. I wanted to try this since it’s so unique, I wasn’t expecting to love it! It was served piping hot, the red bean paste and custard filling was perfectly sweet and The pastry was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Get here! Also so so cheap.
Kelsey M — Google review
I think this is one of the only places (if not the only one) where you can get vegan taiyaki in Japan. 😍💚 It was super yummy! I didn't realize that it was hot inside, but that was good because it was a cold & rainy day. Thank you for the delicious foods 🙏

Takeout Restaurant
Restaurant
Bricolage Bread & Co. is a relaxed cafe and bakery located near Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, offering artisanal French bread, international snacks, and coffee. The establishment consists of a take-out bread and pastry section, a coffee counter run by Fuglen, and a cozy cafe with outdoor seating under shady sakura trees. The collaboration between a chef, baker, and coffee roaster ensures high-quality ingredients sourced directly from farmers in various regions of Japan.
An old time favorite in Roppongi. This bakery café is great for a quick carb pick-me-up or a leisurely lunch. Bricolage is quite popular so the bakery items are variable depending on demand - it's recommended to go before lunch for the best selection. This latest visit was for lunch – everything is extremely fresh and I would highly recommend the salad, fried chicken and shredded carrots. I’ve also had the Wagyu cheeseburger in the past and it was scrumptious. For my fellow travelers – if you are planning to dine-in, go to the counter to the left of the column to order food and drinks. they will hand you an electronic beeper and then you go into the next room to pick up your food when ready. You also wait for your coffee drinks in front of the coffee bar. The register to the right of the column is for to-go bakery items.
J — Google review
We queued for about 50 minutes, so naturally, I was expecting the food to be mind-blowingly good—something truly worth the wait. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The overall experience felt a bit average, like something you could easily get at other Western-style cafés. Their signature dishes were decent, but nothing particularly amazing or memorable. The chicken karaage, however, was a standout—crispy, juicy, and flavorful—definitely something the Japanese do exceptionally well. The cacao drink was a bit too sour for my taste, and the dark rum coffee had only a very mild coffee flavor, which was underwhelming. The pudding is also average, and the brown sugar tastes a bit bitter... In summary, it’s a nice café, but only if there’s little to no queue. Otherwise, it feels like a bit of a letdown and not really worth such a long wait.
Ian L — Google review
This place is a bit confusing. It's hard to order pastries and then sit down and eat them. The ordering counter for meals (burgers, sandwiches) is at a different place than the ordering counter for pastries, but we wanted to eat pastries in the restaurant. It feels like decisions need to be made very quickly and there's little explanation of how that should happen properly. It's almost just 2 shops in the same building, where the pastry counter has no menu and you just have to take pictures of what's available if you need time to think. I think we waited about a half hour to order (which was reasonable). The pastries were pretty good/okay. I don't think there's enough butter in all of Japan to actually rival French pastries, so that should not be your bar if you're going here. We tried several different pastries and the best were the financiers and the sausage dog imo. That said, the cafe latte and the brown sugar dessert option were freaking phenomenal. I would definitely go back for those, but not really anything else. The burger was juicy, but mostly drowned in ketchup and too sweet.

May 2025: Visiting from the United States and stayed at the Grand Hyatt nearby. Workers are very friendly. Found this bakery that had amazing coffee and baked goods nearby. Coffee was fabulous with wonderful tasting notes 🎶. I normally add oat milk instead of cream. The restaurant had oat milk as an upgradeable option.👍 My favorite baked goods were the bread 🍞 and the raisin roll. Also tried the avocado 🥑 toast. Stayed at the hotel for six nights and this place was my go-to for coffee and breakfast. Probably stopped by for coffee, pastries and/or bread six different times. On the last day of my vacation, I tried a "pain perdu" which was so delicious. Reminds me of a french toast... And I looked up the name and it's literally french toast 😀. Aside from the delicious bread, this is my new favorite! Will definitely come back again when I am in Tokyo again!
Ken W — Google review
One of the most popular bakery shop in the area, lots of people were queuing pf a seat. For take out, no need to wait. I waited for 20mins for a seat, then ordered. This is my third time here, every menu was delicious, especially the bakery. Coffee is ok. Salad and bread are the best
Chan T — Google review
Came on a Saturday morning around 11:00 am. There was already a line and the staff said it would be around a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. It ended up taking closer to 30. You order from the register and there’s separate ones for the bakery side and food. We ordered the jerk chicken bagel and the eggs Benedict toast. The toast was delicious, and the bagel was also solid. A little pricey but it’s a nice ambiance and good location if you’re around Roppongi hills. Also got a sourdough to go, which was delicious.
Sydney F — Google review
The service attitude is bad: the ordering flow was so strange, you have to walk against the flow to check the pastry section after taking the number in another entry. After waiting a while to get a table, I have to walk back to make the order AND the clerk asked me serval times if I have a seat to dine in. I showed her my number ticket and told her I already have one table, then she seemed not believing me and asked me to point out where exactly my seat was. I was traveling solo, how can I put my purse in the outside table and walk back inside to make the order?! Of course I have to carry my purse around, and that does not mean that I don’t have a seat, especially I already told her many times that I already have one seat! Back to the croissant: just average. Crispy but not airy. The dark rum latte is good.

King and Strawberry is a beloved dessert shop located in Musashi-Koyamas Shopping Street, Palm. Since its establishment in 1985, it has been popular among locals of all ages. The shop offers a wide array of desserts, with the king parfait being a standout item due to its massive size and delicious combination of ice cream, sauce, pretz sticks, corn flakes, and optional toppings. In addition to desserts, the shop also serves simple and nostalgic pasta dishes that are highly recommended.
Their napolitan pasta is really good! Got to try their Sakura cake and it was very fluffy. Definitely want to come back to try their strawberry shortcake and giant parfait!

Took more than 1 hour to get this order. I ordered for someone who was sick. The shop let me put the number, name of the recipient and some message but they actually didn’t send anything. Delivery was not carefully as in the picture. The cakes were not that good. Doesn’t worth waiting for long and totally regret with the service. Why would u ask for the message and recipient’s detail if u r not going to send anything?! Very Disappointed!
TPPT — Google review
I ordered a king parfait with a friend (so both of us got our own parfait). The parfait is indeed massive consisting of ice cream, sauce, pretz sticks, corn flakes, and optional toppings. This time the food won sadly. You really should share the king parfait with at least two others. A con of this place is that it doesn't have a smoking room - there might be lots of smoke when there is a lot of people inside.

(Translated by Google) This long-established cafe in Musashi-Koyama Shopping Street is famous for its jumbo parfaits and has long been a favorite. The exterior has a retro, slightly nostalgic feel, but I was drawn in by the parfait on their signature menu item and decided to visit for the first time. This time I ordered a set of pasta, salad, cake, and a drink. A great thing about this cafe is that you can also enjoy a casual light meal. The interior has a classic, traditional coffee shop feel. When I visited, it was nearly full, highlighting its long-standing popularity. The specialty "jumbo parfait" ordered by the person sitting next to me was absolutely impressive! I'd definitely like to try it next time. This cafe was the perfect place to take a break while strolling around Musashi-Koyama Shopping Street. Located just a short walk from Hiroo Station in Tokyo, Bartizan Bread Factory is a small but stylish bakery that specializes in European-style sourdough bread. Their signature "Bartizan Sourdough" is made using only flour, water, and salt, with domestically sourced ingredients. The bakery takes pride in offering healthier alternatives to traditional processed bread, with options free from artificial ingredients, trans-fats, and sugar.
I missed a good bread in my 3 weeks in Japan, so I searched for a good bakery and this was simply the best. The bread was delicious, crust was perfect, texture was perfect and the butter&olive oil are good quality. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend the coffee, but if you’re not picky, could work. Staff is great and they have a diverse choice of baked products.

I came here because they sell sourdough bread and I’ve been on a mission to find the best in Tokyo. They have several sourdough options which was a nice touch, with a whole host of other breads to choose from. I got the baguette sliced plus just a regular sourdough bread slice, which was a bit unique and worth trying. Both were delicious and I’d go back for not only those but for the other varieties as well. Staff were great and service fast.

My first time buying sour bread in Tokyo. I came all the way from Adachi because of the good reviews. I haven't eaten them yet, and i plan to freeze some. However i had the blueberry cream cheese for dine in. It was really fulfilling and one is enough for me. The older male staff was really kind. Really good atmosphere and service. Only cashless!
JJ — Google review
Definitely one of the best bakeries in the area, and with amazing service. The choice is not as large as larger bakeries- which to me is a good thing. They specialize in rye breads and sourdough and they excel at it. The hot sandwiches using their ciabatta is excellent. The blueberry cream cheese was my favorite.

As a Google reviewer I count on Google review to identify new restaurants and places to visit especially while travelling. This bakery has a 4.8 Google review that’s very reassuring. As it is not close to subway station, I took a 40-min walk from my hotel. This bakery is truly a hidden gem. Decoration of the bakery is very pretty and offers a very comforting ambiance. Great music. All bakery are pre-packed for easy selection with name tags to indicate the ingredients. Some variety of the bread offer half or even quarter size! They are very soft and fresh. The store has some seatings to allow eat in. Staff are very friendly and patient to allow me to take photos. I bought a few items and they offer me three big slices of sour dough bread for free! They definitely live up to the 5 stars rating! Highly recommend.

This place deserves 5 stars. It’s really clean inside. You feel so welcomed. The morning staff especially is always helpful and pleasant. They play nice music. I usually arrive 7:55 am and I know they open at 8:00 am but she would let me in. I come here before going to work. Their bread is really delicious and I think it’s now my favorite bread shop in Tokyo. I’m sure that I’ll continue supporting them. Thank you for the delicious bread.

Best sourdough I’ve ever tasted. Big fan of the ham and cheese sandwich and my daughter and I give the corn soup a 10 / 10! Very friendly owner and staff and great vibes in the store with relaxing music playing gently.

Wow this place was Amazing. We got here just before sunset and we got to see it in the day and night. I highly recommend visiting this place and if you have some time the shopping centre as well. The food court has a big variety of foods and desserts. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lotus cafe is a well-established modern spot in Omotesando, offering New York-style dishes and coffee with a backdrop of music. Managed by the team behind Bowery, it's a popular late-night venue that frequently hosts events featuring local DJ legend Towa Tei. The menu includes items like bagna cauda, Taiwanese style karaage, Spaghetti Napolitan, nori and fish pizza, and seasonal strawberry tart.
Gorgonzola cheesecake is beyond praise, the best dessert I have eaten in a long time! I also recommend the 6 cheese pizza and the sea urchin pizza, I really liked it. Good cocktails and nice atmosphere, thank you!

Last time here it was packed this time we came earlier than noon and it wasn’t too crowded but started to fill up. Chef seems pretty talented. The glasses weren’t as clean as possible.

Bagna cauda- a bit pricey at 1,400 yen but the bagna cauda sauce was perfect. Taiwanese style karaage was tasty but a bit salty. Spaghetti Napolitan was sweet and tangy as expected - I loved it. The nori and fish pizza was unexpectedly tasty and the flavors all came together really well. Wish the crust was crunchier though. Last was dessert - the seasonal strawberry tart is a must try!! Perfect flaky buttery tart paired with sweet strawberries on top was the stuff of dreams.

The lunch set was a ton of food. I had the ginger pork set. menu's were in Japanese and English. the staff was exceptional. jasmine tea had an amazing floral taste. I wish I had recieved less food in the set so I could have gotten a desert. I heard the restaurant is known for its deserts.

They required one drink order most of the time, but the food is great. I always order Herb Grilled Chicken! Tried scallop + lemon risotto today, it’s fairly good but you will finish the food too fast. Tasty dessert too. Fyi you will be seated in the basement, which is huge but no signal. They have personal wifi but not for customer.

There's a large basement seating area. It's got some beautiful tarts, like the one I had which was a seasonal special with Muscat Grapes. They had a honey lemon smoothie, which was more a slushie than a smoothie.

Boul'Ange is a popular bakery in Tokyo known for its delicious housemade bread, croissants, cakes, and baguettes. It has become a staple in the city's bread scene, offering a good selection of mostly French-style bread such as baguettes, bread rolls, croissants, and open sandwich types. Unlike other Japanese-style bakeries, Boul'Ange sells authentic and freshly baked on-site breads multiple times throughout the day.
Wonderful produce from this bakery. We bought a baguette for breakfast and two croissants: an almond and raspberry one. Would definitely recommend the almond croissant and baguette.
Alexandria — Google review
We tried the pistachio cornet and chocolate cornet. Definitely try the pistachio cornet cause it was amazing. I still think about that pistachio cornet. Just melt in your mouth and has a crunchy exterior that is not overly sweet. If I could come back, I would come slightly hungry and try more desserts from this place.
Helen T — Google review
The almond kouign amann was so good, like a hybrid cookie. Would highly recommend this place. It’s in the food show area, among other baked goods. There weren’t that many options when I went around 5-6pm.
K H — Google review
After a big sushi set meal, I was craving something sweet and crunchy, so we swung by this small bakery to check out the selections. The milk cornet, their #2 seller, was extraordinary, with a divine crunch to the pastry where you can feel every layer as you bite down. The light and sweet filling was quite firm, so it held its own against the formidable exterior. The raspberry croffle was similarly excellent, with a chewy pastry texture and a sparkling, juicy filling - it looked like a culinary treasure and tasted like one as well. Special mention to the service, as the shop attendants were very kind and joyous, making the food even easier to love.

This bakery does an exceptional pastry called the Pistachio Cornet. It's a horn shaped buttery and flaky puff pastry chock full of luscious pistachio cream. The magnificent crunch and creamy pistachio filling made for quite a delightful experience. Highly recommend texture junkies with a sweet tooth to give it a shot.

Perfect for your morning pastries and coffee, reasonably priced. There is some nice seating inside, select your pastries and order your coffee, sit and enjoy. Location-wise this is situated opposite Shibuya crossing and Shibuya JR station - super convenient. There is a wide selection of pastries, breads & cakes available - my family ate here approx 4-5 times when travelling in Japan, I stayed at the hotel above the ‘food-show’. We preferred eating here instead of the hotel breakfast ( mainly because I feel they are over-priced and the kids don’t eat huge breakfast’s). We also found it cheaper. For a family of 4 (2 adults / 2 kids) we would spend approx 3200 yen (approx $33) for a selection of 7-8 pastries to share, 2 mango juices for the kids and 2 coffees for the adults - I reckon that’s pretty good value when compared to 7000 yen for the hotel breakfast)
Graeme M — Google review
Visit this place 3 times. Very friendly staff and great experience. Fantastic pastry. I am very impress when the staff bring out freshly baked pastry. He remove the old ones and put the fresh one. He took the old pastry to the back kitchen to throw. That is pretty impressive. What typical bakery do is they will put the old pastry in front and fresh pastry at the rear. So as to sell the old pastry first. Really a must visit when you go shibuya.

Okonomiyaki restaurant
Nestled in a charming corner of Togoshi Ginza shopping street, Okonomiyaki Yu is a delightful haven for food lovers. This cozy eatery specializes in both Osaka and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, offering an extensive menu that also features yakisoba and omelette soba. The lunch sets are particularly appealing, complete with salad and miso soup to ensure you leave satisfied.
A fabulous little authentic eatery with amazing food at ridiculously cheap prices. Very friendly, and whilst minimal English is spoken, the menu with English descriptions makes it very easy to order, and the friendliness of the helpful staff make it a delight. Highly recommended.

I love this atmosphere very Japanese restaurant style, kind of Izakaya, the food portion is big enough for girl. Food just average, however service was good.
Sung Z — Google review
(Translated by Google) I think it depends on your preference whether you can enjoy the atmosphere and sense of immorality of this Showa Ver1.0. I don't mind the fact that it's a powdered dish with lots of sauce, and the scent of the sauce clings to it rather than the smoke of a yakitori restaurant. If you can enjoy all of it, please go. I was intrigued by this retro exterior, so I went there on a Saturday around 1pm. I will order Hiroshima grilled oysters and Osaka modern grilled beef tendon with green onions. I think the target audience is those who drink alcohol, as the menu features sets that come with alcohol. It's been so long since I last ate okonomiyaki that I forgot the difference between Hiroshima-yaki and Osaka's okonomiyaki, so I read the explanation on the wall. Both Hiroshima-yaki and modern-yaki have a junky taste. Hiroshima-yaki has a light dough, while Modern-yaki has a hearty texture. Both are like Japanese pancakes with a fragrant sauce and can be eaten with a crunch. I thought it was a little unusual that it was served cut from the beginning. People who appear to be regulars are ordering fluently, including additional toppings, just like reading haiku at a poetry gathering. cool. Some people also take it home. As mentioned in other posts, this store is old and I felt that the ventilation capacity was weak. So it's better to be prepared for the smell to stick to your clothes. However, I think everyone knows this from the appearance. Also, I think I'd like a little more heat. Although I was able to eat it at a good pace, my experience with Osakahara is that you should eat okonomiyaki while saying "Achiachi, fufu". In addition to okonomiyaki, we also have curry, steak, salad, and fried chicken! The prices are reasonable, so you'll want to stop by for a quick drink.

Lunch drinks are 200 yen including tax and include iced coffee, oolong tea, ginger ale cola, and black oolong tea. Large portions and toppings (mochi, cheese, mentaiko, etc.) cost 110 yen including tax. When I tried it, the taste reminded me of a specialty store in Hiroshima. Great variety of cakes and pies. High quality coffee, nice environment. Blueberry cornmeal is a special one, tasteful for the eyes, good smell and really enjoyable. Now I’m looking for breads on the other counter. If it’s the same quality level, I’m sure it’s worth the 2.5km I walked to come here.

Their deli plate is amazing, offering assortment that’s perfect for any palate. While the coffee isn’t their strong suit, the overall food experience more than makes up for it. The seating can feel a bit awkward at first, but it’s a great spot for those looking to get some work done. Be prepared for crowds during peak hours, especially from 11 am to 1 pm and on weekends. I chose the cheesecake and was shocked when I took a bite and found out that it tasted of actual cheese. Unfortunately I couldn‘t read the cake description as it was only in Japanese. I heard from friends that some Japanese bakers put actual cheese in their cheesecake (which we don‘t do in Europe), but this is the first one where I really tasted it. It tastes of camembert, which was not the taste I was hoping for when ordering a cake 😂. Only order this cake if you want a creamy cake that strongly tastes of cheese! My boyfriend ordered blueberry crumble cake and quite liked it. The cafe latte was okay, a bit on the milky and weak side.

There were no customers so I was able to enter without waiting, but while I was thinking about what to do, one person was waiting (I called out to him, "Sorry for keeping you waiting 💦!") The store is so small that it's only big enough for one staff member and one customer behind the counter. The sweets were so delicious! I bought madeleines, brownies, and cut baumkuchen as gifts. I bought kougelhupf, madeleines, financiers, and brownies for myself, which my partner was very happy with, and everything I ate was delicious. It was also great that I could choose after consulting with the staff! Nestled away from the usual tourist spots, Kinnoho is a delightful find for those traveling along the Tokyu Meguro line. If you hop off at Musashi-Koyama, you're in for a treat! This charming little bakery specializes in gluten-free goodies made from rice flour.
Less than a minute away from the train station. Great gluten free shop with delicious sweets and quality coffee. Been there 3 times already.

(Translated by Google) I visited this bakery on the way back from visiting a public bath in Musashi-Koyama. This is a shop that makes bread using rice flour because it is gluten-free. I bought sesame & cheese and raisins & walnuts from Intestine Bread. I received a New Year's cookie. There's something very appealing about the name Intestine Bread. Looks good for your body ^^; The taste was simple. Both the cheese and raisins are inside the bread and it tastes nice. The size is small, but if you chew it well, it's just the right size. The New Year's cookies were also delicious. It seems that the lucky color for 2025 is green. (Translated by Google) This is a gluten-free shop where you can enjoy delicious and healthy rice flour bread. ◯About the store You can see it as soon as you walk along the road that runs along the high school from the station. By the way, photography inside the store is not allowed. The owner(?) seemed kind. ◯About bread Intestinal foods include plain roll, raisin walnut, red bean paste, chocolate cranberry, and sausage. Others include scones, bread, cookies, etc. I feel like I'm an elite few. However, personally, all of the intestinal breads were unappealing, and there was nothing that appealed to me. I visited in the afternoon, and at that time most of the intestinal health products were sold out, with only a few pieces of bread and baked goods left. It seems that some breads cannot be purchased without reservations, so we recommend reservations and reservations. For now, I only bought a loaf of bread this time. The ears were moderately hard and softer than Maimaiko's bread. When it reached the inside, it became softer and easier to eat, and the texture changed as if the rice was melting. The taste was close to eating rice. The density was high and it was enough to eat. I only tasted the bread, so I feel like it's premature to give a general review of this restaurant, but personally, I don't think I need to keep going there. I think I'll stop by when I can. However, shops that offer gluten-free bread in general are still valuable, and the quality and taste of the bread can be said to be just as good as just eating white bread, so it's well worth a try. Please go and try it.

It's especially great for cooling down after cuddling a girl or an exciting event, but the limited seating capacity is a bit of a downside. I also went there in Shibuya after being pampered by my personal nurse, who resembled Takako Okamura from Amin when she was young, and getting a lot of love. It was the middle of summer vacation under the scorching sun, but sleeping side by side with a young nurse in a cool room with the air conditioner on full blast was the ultimate summer romance. A long time ago, the term "strong air conditioned" became popular, and I fantasized about a love technique where you cuddle and warm up in a room so air-conditioned it's so cold in the middle of summer, but it has now become a staple of summer. They say that hot summer is the time for passionate love, and it's a lovely time to enjoy some moe talk while snuggling up to a nurse in a chilly mansion. Having a nurse stroke your head while buried in your arms makes you feel truly alive, but in order to boost your heart's immunity and ensure hope, courage, and daily motivation, regular, strict injections of love are essential. The good old dreamy feeling of being pampered by Okamura Takako 40 years ago is also memorable and wonderful. There might be a wait to secure a table due to its popularity. Inside, wooden tables and chairs added a warm touch while the glass wall allowed for natural light, creating a bright and serene atmosphere. The food was delicious as always.
(Translated by Google) This cafe is located on the second floor of the station building Atre, which is directly connected to Oimachi Station. You can also get takeout cakes. It was after 2pm on a Saturday. There were about three groups of customers waiting. I wrote my name down and was able to enter in about five minutes. This used to be a favorite shop that I used to go to all year round, but this is my first visit in several years. This shop is easy for women to enter alone, and most importantly, it's delicious! I was glad that the quiche that I used to eat a lot is still there! This time I ordered a cake set with shrimp and broad beans and cod roe cream. It comes with a salad, and you can choose your cake and drink. I think this pasta is a limited edition. The bread that used to come with it is no longer included. The cake is Gateau au Fraise Soy. And iced coffee. This cake is shortcake. I have an almond allergy, so I usually can't eat cake, but the menu has an allergy notice that makes it easy to understand, so I decided to go with the cake set this time! If I had to say something, I wish they would make more cakes without almonds! It's been a while since I last ate here, and the pasta and cake were delicious as expected! The sunlight is quite strong in this store. People who are strict about using sunscreen will probably be bothered by this. Personally, this is a perfect store, but it can take a while for your food to be served, so be careful if you're in a hurry. I remember it being a tough place to eat during my lunch break on a weekday at work. Also, It was a long time ago, but it took me three hours for lunch. I think it's okay now, though... By the way, this time I had lunch alone and it took 40 minutes from when I started lining up to when I paid. I recommend this store to people who want to enjoy a leisurely meal without worrying about time. I'd like to go there sometimes as a treat for myself! Honestly, very disappointed with their service. None of them were friendly, they are doing their jobs without hesitation, that was all I can say. There are no smiles and the attitude of every person is twitchy. The cake was not tasty, and the worse was the tea, which was not good and was served lukewarm. This is not a place I would pay this amount of money to go to, at least not here.

This is a popular cake shop where you can enjoy meals, tea and coffee. There are also some kinds of alcohol drink. I ordered a glass of sangria and it was good. You can go directly from Chuo-guchi (central exit) of JR Oimachi station and it takes only 1 minute. Please note last call is 8:30pm.

(Translated by Google) I love the tarts here and have been to the Yokohama store and Ikebukuro as well, but today I had lunch at eat-in. Since I was too full to eat it, I took the tart home. I dropped it on my way home on the train, so the photo is a little crooked, but I'm glad it's still as clear as it is even though I knocked it over. There is a cake set for quiche, but this time I chose pasta. The inside of the store was larger than you would imagine from the entrance, and there were seats in the back. We had a happy time. While my family was shopping at Atre, my second daughter suddenly offered to use her pocket money to buy her favorite tart as a Mother's Day present, so I took her offer and took out a strawberry tartlet. As I was looking at the hair ornaments, I noticed that my eyes flickered to the store's case, and they gave me a personal present, which made me very happy. Then my eldest daughter and I both offered to buy one, and we received Japanese sweets and cookies, and today we also had ice cream, so we couldn't eat two. As soon as I got home, I had a strawberry tart, and it was delicious with plenty of large, delicious strawberries and plenty of cream. I also liked that the tart dough was not hard. The other tarts, such as the seasonal pineapple tart, were filled with large pieces of fruit and all looked delicious. As expected of Tokyo, the drinks were quite expensive, and the most expensive tarts were over 1000 yen. This time I ordered a pineapple tart, which was crispy and the pineapple was sweet, so it was delicious overall. But I'm not sure if I'll come here again just for that. The most disappointing thing was the attitude of the young staff member. It was the middle day of a three-day weekend, so I don't know if she was frustrated that she couldn't take a break, but I was surprised when she threw a drink coaster on the table. She may not have meant to throw it, but it was not a pleasant experience for us. The way the drinks were placed was also rough, and the cashier was the one who was the cashier, but her voice was so quiet that I couldn't tell how much it was. When I asked her how much it was, she muttered, "Huh? Oh, the screen was off," and turned on the screen of her smartphone. The staff member who was a little older than her was nicer. Too bad. (Translated by Google) I heard rumors about Thirty-One Cheesecake Ice Cream around mid-January, and I was kind of curious about it. I had assumed that the ice cream cake required reservations, but maybe there was one available...? So, with a glimmer of hope in my heart, I asked, ``Do you have to make a reservation for cheesecake?'' I was told, ``If it's in stock, I can give it to you on the spot.I'll take a look!''And there was one in stock, so I was lucky and bought it right away. I thought I'd leave it in the freezer for a few days, but the freezer was already full of emergency ice cream and frozen vegetables, so I thought I'd open it today, so I carefully opened the icebox. The ice cream is mainly strawberry cheesecake flavored, with lots of large cheesecake cubes inside. The topping is minced crunch. Below is a baked cheesecake that is crispy and delicious even if it is semi-frozen. Then do a crunch on the base. The price is quite reasonable at 2,500 yen including tax, but I think the price is reasonable because you can fully enjoy the taste of the cheesecake, and enjoy everything from the melt-in-your-mouth ice cream to the texture of the regular fresh Western confectionery that only Thirty One can offer. (Perhaps it was due to my poor jaw strength, but) The whole thing was hard, so I thought it might have been better to leave it at room temperature. That said, I'm glad I found The Cheesecake, who I've had a crush on for about a month. Thank you for the meal today ^↫^ψ (Original)

I didn't take notes in the first place, and the staff disappeared while I was telling them the flavor, so if you're going to make a mistake, please ask about the flavor and take notes. At the end, they showed me the box and asked, "Is this okay?", but there were people waiting in line behind me, so I didn't have time to check each one carefully, and it took a long time from waiting in line to getting the food, so I didn't look at it that closely. Also, some of the flavors are similar and you can't tell the difference just by looking, so I think it would be better to repeat the product name. Or I think it would be more reliable if the customer chose the flavor on paper for the variety box and handed it to the staff. The male staff who took my order spoke softly and I couldn't understand what he was saying. The female waitress who was taking the order from the customer behind me was cheerful and energetic, so I wish I could have met her... (Translated by Google) I arrived a little after 4 p.m. More than half of the cakes were already sold out. The only ones that caught my eye were those made with seasonal fruits, which were quite pricey at around 1,000 yen (tax included). At that price, I hesitated to buy them. The creme à la crème, 330 yen, is about right for the price. Personally, I prefer the custard a little stronger. The tarte aux fraises, 900 yen. If the crust were sponge, it could easily be called a strawberry shortcake. Personally, I'd prefer a bit more liqueur. I also bought other items, but I didn't try them, so I can't rate them. The ones I use as my benchmark were already sold out, so I think I'll go back one more time. Starting with this, I'd like to visit Western-style pastry shops from Omori to Kamata to see if the quality of cake shops in this area (east of the JR tracks) has improved. I think I have about four candidates. I then went back again. The time was about two hours earlier than last time, just after 2pm. As expected, many of the common types of cakes were sold out. Instead, what stood out was the trays lined with chiffon cakes lined up tightly together. It seemed that many of the standard items had sold out, so these were extras that had been baked. So I also ordered this chiffon cake. It wasn't that it was badly baked, but 700 yen plus for a cake topped with completely unimaginative fresh cream is just too expensive. I won't be buying it again. I also ordered a cheesecake, which is my standard for judging cakes, but this was also just average. Overall, unfortunately, it's just like any other shop. I won't be going there again.
