We recently visited S'Patisserie for an afternoon tea and cake, having hoped there might be some dedicated high tea sets available for a more elaborate experience. While that particular expectation wasn't met, the patisserie itself is undeniably charming. In terms of the food, we found it to be generally "OK." We tried a selection of their cakes and enjoyed our tea, but nothing truly stood out as exceptional or particularly memorable. Lovely place with great views, comfortable sitting unlike many other cafes with great view but low standard for everything else. Their cakes are nice patisserie french style, their drinks are good too. Staff is competent and kind, doing the extra mile for you. In our case it was birthday candle on the cake we ordered.

I fell in love with this place at first sight! Beautiful cafe with very tasty pastries and coffee. I have oredere carbonara, lemon cake and blackberry cake, they were delicious. I highly recommend this place to foreigners who are tired of vietnamese food and search for testy food amd smooth service is great! The atmosphere there is very pleasant. I really liked the manager and also the waiters, they have nice personalities and care about their customers. Comfortable and quiet cafe attached to Silk Path Hotel next door. Food dishes are made there and brought in by staff. All the staff are very attentive and speak english well. Coffees are superb and include your choice of cake, biscuit or croissant.

Got the almond croissant and plain croissant ordered via Grab. Super fast delivery. The croissants are big and fluffy outside, but the taste is really plain to my liking and not so flaky. Feel like bread with a hint of butter in it. Not the best though.

All of the goods look so delicious - I had a hard time deciding - I would have ordered more if they accept card payment but as they only take cash or local transfer I went with three different dessert items and a drink. The staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. I went to the rooftop that although without a/c has a more enjoyable view. Although was lots of construction noise from nearby building. This café is one of my favourite spots in Hanoi. It's an oasis of calm amid the chaos, serving great western-style breakfasts, sandwiches, cakes etc. promptly and with a smile. I've been coming here every week for a year and it never gets old. 100% recommended.

Service has room for improvement though, especially with greetings and welcome when customers enter the store. Other than that, we had a great experience at the restaurant. Love what they have done with the place. Highly recommended.

What a great and unusual place to visit. We loved this cafe with it's quirky gimmick. Order your drinks, climb the winding staircase, find a table on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor, the waiter will find you! Then grab a note from one of the many baskets, and start writing away. Peel the back off, and stick your thoughts, memories, tributes to the wall. The drinks were great and my red velvet cake hit the mark. The atmosphere was tremendous and the location is simply amazing. The window views stretch over the busy roads to the expansive lake. What a spot.

A unique and memorable coffee shop! I talked with one of the staff members and she told me that this place has existed for only 13 years — but judging by the amount of notes on the walls, it feels like it’s been here for 50! The notes come from people all around the world, which makes the atmosphere truly amazing in my opinion. This place was so great when we visited Hanoi, from the guy outside shouting ‘fresh coffee, fruit juice’ to the decor this place is amazing. I had the mint frappe and my partner had the iced coffee and it’s safe to save we returned at least 3 - 4 times during our stop in Hanoi and would recommend it to anyone. There is about 4/5 floors and I would definitely say it’s worth going up to explore.

The Note Coffee in Hanoi wasn’t exactly about the egg coffee for me — honestly, it didn’t feel like the real deal (and I didn’t even get to take a photo of it). But what stood out was the vibe of the place. There’s something beautifully nostalgic about being surrounded by colorful notes from people all over the world — little stories, confessions, and wishes scribbled on bits of paper. It reminded me of old times, of serendipity, and of how connected strangers can feel through simple words left behind. A cozy stop for the heart, more than the palate.

People have complained about the fact some of the notes are "wet through" but what do you expect when the whole place is covered in post it's 😂 Overall, I enjoyed it. Ordered their best seller - Number 1 coffee chocolate. 20k for a bun almost bigger than my hand. First impressions were that it was super soft. Divine once you reach the chocolate centre. Compared with the Malaysian RotiBoy, I expected the top to be crispier. Regardless, was still really good and would recommend.

I tried King Roti in Hanoi for the first time and ordered the matcha latte bun. It was so good, soft inside and not overly sweet. I went back the next day and had the coffee chocolate bun which was just as delicious with warm chocolate inside. At only 20,000 VND each, it’s totally worth it and no wonder there’s always a line.

A great place for food and drinks! The atmosphere was excellent, we sat in comfy chairs with a low table and our server was very nice. We ordered the social club burger, the green bean salad, and tofu chips, and for dessert we had the chocolate orange cake and sticky date pudding. Very cool place to hang out for a cocktail or two, which is what we did. The mulberry smoked rum cocktail was like sweet bbq while the “pho” was a gin based cocktail with lime and chilli and flavours of pho. They had a cherry ripe dessert ( but were sold out ) and palova which looked great. They also have a lot of vegan choices, though we didn’t try any food. Pretty good bakery where you can order and also sit outside to watch the world go by. They have a wide variety of croissants including plain, with ham and with cheese etc. We liked the egg tarts, pineapple and coconut balls and apple pies, which all tasted fresh. As a nod to the mid Autumn festival, they are also selling mini mooncakes with various fillings. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly as well.

Located between two cafes (where you can get the coffee to your pastries) is sells fantastic looking tartlets, cakes and savory pastry. We tested the sweet ones and all of them were really good. The caramel cream with the gold leaf on top, the red one with a mini macaron and the filling and the fruity one (which came with quite a rich amount of sweet shortcrust pastry). We took another three, which were also really good but I guess we should have bought the next day 😊 One minor point to improve in my humble opinion: There was a huge bouquet of real lilies in front of the shop, and while they looked really beautiful their scent is quite strong. Nonetheless, if in Hanoi, I would definitely stop here.

This is 100% a local hotspot, we were the only non-Vietnamese speaking people here, which was a fun little adventure for us. Food itself was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our little fresh spring roll escapade, however, had the duck not been 30% inedible due to the amount of duck bone in our dish, this would've been 5 stars, no doubt. The crispy pork on the other-hand was incredible. The amount of fresh veg and salad provided for free alongside the meats to fill the rice-paper with was generous. We also had a bit of a dilemma due to the lack of English-speaking staff, no part of the ordering process was explained to us, and we relied on another kind local patron who was beside us helped us out with our food by showing us, which the staff maybe could've done. This did not take away from the overall experience and it was still great.

No real croissant even. Not able to get a simple black tea here. Toilets not clean and out of paper. Definitely would not return

This place stood out to me on Google maps when I was finding my location in the area. I was imagining it much differently in my mind as more spacious and larger but it’s definitely more compact and less seating area than I thought. The inside is a bit cold with a/c on blast while outdoors it’s possible people smoke. You must take your shoes off on the upper floor and it has a room with some table and a couch and another balcony like seating area where you sit on the floor or a more spacious seat that was already occupied. Def yummy goodies and drinks here and the inspiring display of books and dark wood combo. Overall smaller than expected and could not feel totally at ease. Outside space would be better if they didn’t allow smoking. Staff come by to offer water now and again which is nice.

Personally, I would’ve liked the dessert to be a bit sweeter, or for them to add ice for us instead of having to do it ourselves, but it’s not a big issue. While not fluent, it’s good enough to explain the dishes and help with ordering, which makes the experience smoother.

The tart: The crust was flaky and the filling was not too sweet. The filling was actually not sweet at all. You could really taste the cheese. The matcha: It tasted very much like pandan leaf. I could not taste any matcha at all. I liked the drink. But it was so incredibly sugary that I could not finish it. The second time I ordered the premium cheese cake. I did not enjoy it very much. The entire middle of my slice was ice cold. It was like they had taken it out of the freezer and it had not fully defrosted yet. Such a shame. I also ordered a coconut coffee, which was very tasty.

Must say I really enjoyed the coconut coffee from Pablo Cheesetart. The staff were friendly and all happy, great service and made a great coffee. The shop was very clean and inviting. The perfect drink to get me going and to chill me down at the same time.

Guys, the tarts here were terrible. They look good on photo but the cheese was clumpy and almost completely hard. The crust was stale and hard. The tarts came cold, not sure if that's how it's supposed to be but I've had Pablo in many countries and it was never this bad. All 3 of the tarts were like this. We ate half of the original flavour and cut into the others, thinking they might be better than the first one. We tried to exchange them for better ones because we were so disappointed, and explained that they were hard, stale and dry. The staff took the relatively untouched chocolate one in their palm and squeezed it along the crust, and said that this is how they are. The cafe was very clean and orderly. The furniture was comfortable. Maybe come here and buy something aside from the cheesetarts.

We were delighted when we spotted a Pablo near our hotel as we love their cheese tarts. We dined in yesterday and bought takeaway today. The cheese tarts are soft with a crumbly base. Quality is as good as what’s in Japan. The service staff are welcoming, friendly and informative. There are 3 levels so we opted to sit at the second level to enjoy the view and warmth. The whole restaurant has a nice and comforting atmosphere. Nice to hang out at on a cold rainy day.

Famous cheese tart brand. Good cake quality. Beverage menu price range is around 40-50K. They use mugs and glasses if you dine in, instead of using single used plastic containers, one point plus. Not so busy during day time and weekday but weekend, kinda busy in the big room, family with children, friends gathering so it’s really annoying, disturbing. Their sofas are really comfy.

The place is big! 3 floors and mostly empty during the day. They sell a lot of cheese based foods. I thought the cheesecake was okay. The cheese was good but the crust was a little soggy and thin. I prefer something crispy and flaky. The cheesecake is also served cold. Warming it up would have brought it up another level. The cheesecake smoothie was really good. Dang! That brought the review from a 3/5 to a 4/5. The smoothie is sweet, creamy and cold. I haven't had a cheese smoothie before, but I like it!

I ordered the Tropical Coconut. It was delicious; not too sweet for my liking and the pineapple and coconut mixed with the mousse were good combi, bringing out a hint of sourness and sweetness. Could this be THE TOP Pastry Cafe in a city setting? Seriously, I wanna come here everyday! The Oak Matcha Latte is so creamy and rich without bitter. It’s a light dessert in itself. The lighting is so perfect for reflection and, I think, “Life is Good”. Pricing is really “affordable” for what you get, considering regular coffee is the same price anywhere else.

( it was filled with local pretty girls influencer wannabes spending hours in this cafe making Selfies & posting on Instagram) Their best seller was the passion fruit mango thing (refer picture) and it was ok. Not too sweet not too sour . Overall and ok cafe spot (spent 565K for 2 desserts and 3 drinks) if you are tired of walking around the French Quarter in Hanoi.

Came Friday Morningish , beautifully decorated with a minamlist design and some indie western music. Creating a relaxed nice but also talkative social vibe. Ordered a matcha macchiato and a passion fruit tart thing, I like my matcha so this was a nice milky creamy gift of matcha, The passion fruit was lovely. the staff Spoke a tiny bit of English which helped and they were really nice, total price came up to 180k vnd. a tiny bit expensive compared to local places but still worth visiting.

Don’t even remember how I stumbled upon this place (I’d had it saved for over a year), but finally made it here and I’m so glad I did! I decided to try this place based on the reviews and because it's literally right outside of my apartment here. Their stuff is really good but the customer service is why I'm giving it 3 stars. The girl who helped me (or lack there of) was not very friendly at all. This probably was heaven for my vegetarian sisters. The cashier at the bakery spoke english which was of great help to us. We went it there atleast 3 times a day. Till evening, they are usually out of stock and we couldn't find much to eat but the best bakery in town.

This is just a review of the drinks we had here - all excellent. We loved the setting, close to the cathedral. A little pricey but both the salted coffee and the passion fruit juice were just perfect. We also tried the avocado coconut ice cream which was an interesting flavor.

I have been to Cafe Runam twice, and it is one of my favorite coffee places in Hanoi. Yes, it comes with a price tag, but the location, the vibe, the food, and the service are absolutely worth it! It is still less than your basic Starbucks back home and beats every category. It's a great place to have a drink and work or have lunch before exploring the old quarter. Their gift boxes are so cute and make a nice souvenir to bring to your loved ones. I highly recommend it!!

The egg coffee is so good! I love the vibes here, it’s like steampunk Vietnamese dark academia— it’s so cool!! It’s so ahead of its time. It’s definitely pricy coffee, but it’s also one of the best egg coffees I’ve had in Vietnam, and it’s a very trendy area.

Bought the blueberry pastry 20kvnd. The filling was good and tasty but the pastry is abit thick. For a snack or breakfast it’s very filling with just one. Saw they have nice selection of bread too but didn’t try it. As many have mentioned, the staff looks unwelcoming and lackluster like but they were not rude or anything so it was fine.

She was in charge of updating that book for the following edition. Everything was so so delicious. I especially loved Nem Lụi (charcoal grilled lemongrass pork skewers 🍢 that are eaten rolled in rice paper)... but I would have been happy with just Bánh xèo (Vietnamese savory pancakes) too! 🤩 Now, if you don't know the place, it's kind of hard to find as you need to reach the first floor of an old building to find the restaurant, which, as (almost) always in Vietnam, didn't stand out for its coziness (that's an euphemism 😅). The service was kinda slow but that gave us some more time to enjoy the amazing food. Oh, and I almost forgot: that meal was VND82K each: less than €3! 🥳 Quality & taste: 10/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Originality: 8/10 Ratio price / quality: 10/10 Service: 6/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

We ate at this place a few times during our stay in Hanoi because the food is so delicious! We noticed it from the street because it was very busy. Both times we had a short wait for a table. It’s a bit tricky to find as it’s in the second level so you have to follow the signs. We ordered the shrimp and beef bahn xeo and the shrimp was by far our favourite. We also loved the lemongrass skewers but sadly they had run out on our last visit. If you haven’t had banh xeo it’s a fried egg pancake (very crispy) with shrimp or other meat on top. It comes with scissors and you cut it up and then you make rolls with rice paper, greens, green papaya and sprouts. Just typing this in makes me hungry :). Highly recommend this yummy gem! It’s helpful to note that. “Set” has two cakes and is intended for one person. You can see from the photos that the greens they show are so abundant!

It my first experience with the salted egg bread - I wasn’t sure whether to expect something savory or sweet, but I’d say this definitely favors the side of savory. It wasn’t my favorite snack in Hanoi, but it’s clear that the locals love it so it’s worth a try if you’re visiting. The tiramisu was good but will just barely scratch the itch if you’re craving tiramisu - it was predominantly cream-based without mascarpone (to my taste buds), and had no Kahlua influence, so it favors chocolate-cream notes rather than a true coffee-chocolate-cheese flavor. The shop has a bit of seating but seems to be most popular for takeout. Try the salted egg bread if you get a chance! It will be a brand new flavor for your taste buds, especially if you’re visiting from a western country.

If you are coming down to work/study, head upstairs on the 3rd floor, a lot more room than what you might anticipate. Bac xiu here is a bit more bean based than milky, lemon with honey tea was, unfortunately too bland which is a bit of a shame. Oreo was lovely, small sized croissants.

We visited La Salsa for dinner yesterday. Firstly, the restaurant is upstairs, the kitchen and washroom (at the bottom of the stairs) is on the ground floor. The restaurant is cosy, with black & red checked tablecloths, a chalk board with the tapas menu and framed Spanish-style art. It has an old school kind of Spanish restaurant vibe which makes sense having been established since 1999. Everyone at the restaurant is very friendly and professional. I was expecting more vegetarian dishes as I’ve been to many tapas restaurants and never struggled to find options. We decided to order patatas bravas, onion rings, meatballs (for my boyfriend) and a vegetable paella. It would be nice to see a few more inspiring vegetable based small plates- how about cheese croquettes as well as ham, a white bean & tomato stew or grilled aubergine? We enjoyed our smooth bottle of Spanish red wine. Would have loved the bread to come with a small bowl of olive oil/balsamic. We asked but the waiter didn’t understand our request. Altogether it was pleasant but not amongst our favourites in Hanoi.
