If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Taka Japanese Sushi and Thai Food Restaurant. This modern and laid-back eatery offers an enticing mix of à-la-carte options and all-you-can-eat menus that showcase the best of both Japanese and Thai cuisines. During my recent visit, I was blown away by the freshness of the sushi, which was skillfully crafted to deliver a harmonious blend of flavors.
Hands down, this is the best sushi buffet in Windsor. Despite being a buffet, the food quality remains at a consistently high standard, which is impressive. The Tom Yum soup and miso soup are both flavorful and well-balanced, making them a great way to start the meal. All the appetizers are delicious, offering a variety of flavors that complement the main dishes perfectly. The sushi itself is always fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. This restaurant has become a favorite for our family, and we always look forward to dining here. The service is efficient, and the overall dining experience is enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to sushi lovers, and we will definitely keep coming back for more.

If I remember correctly there were more options for All You Can Eat couple months back, but the options were still pretty solid. Servers worked so efficiently, rapidly picked up used plates the whole night. The environment was comfortable, didn’t feel like getting rushed because of the awaited customers. Overall I enjoyed my experience there and will definitely go back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Shrimp-pocalypse Now: A Tenko Sushi Experience” I came to Taco Sushi expecting a casual dinner, maybe a few rolls, some tempura… You know, normal sushi restaurant things. What I got instead was an unstoppable tsunami of shrimp that defied the laws of physics. The moment I stepped inside, I heard a distant rumble. Then, the kitchen doors burst open like the gates of heaven, and a tidal wave of colossal shrimp came crashing onto my table. Tempura? More like Tem-pocalypse. I barely had time to blink before an army of sushi rolls parachuted from the ceiling, landing gracefully on my plate like they were trained by the military. Every bite was glorious, but no matter how much I ate, the shrimp supply never dwindled. It was as if Poseidon himself ran the kitchen, furiously spawning an infinite seafood supply just for me. A chef whispered in my ear, “At Taka, the shrimp chooses you.” At one point, a sashimi avalanche nearly buried me alive, but a server (who I swear had gills) heroically dug me out with a pair of chopsticks. I wept tears of joy as I realized: this is not just a restaurant—this is an experience. A rite of passage. A shrimp-induced fever dream from which I never want to wake up. I left Taka a changed man. My clothes smell like shrimp. My heart beats like a taiko drum, synchronized with the kitchen’s relentless seafood output. I tried to leave, but a giant tempura shrimp grabbed my ankle and whispered, “One more roll, mortal.” 10/10. Will return. Probably already there.

I recently visited Taka Japanese Sushi and Thai Food Restaurant, and it was an incredible experience! The sushi was fresh and expertly prepared, with a perfect balance of flavors. The Thai dishes were equally impressive, bursting with authentic spices and perfectly cooked ingredients. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Whether you’re craving sushi or Thai cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Usually my go to sushi spot as I love the inari. However I did dine in tonight, my server was good, she forgot to bring my soup and salad. I didn't realize the salad came with just like a watery mayo on it so I didn't eat that due to restrictions. The miso soup didn't taste like much, it was very water. My rolls and sushi were as per usual from here. My main issue was that I paid cash, when the server who was not my regular server took my money and brought me my change, he short changed me. When I called him over and asked where the rest of my money was? He looked confused, and said I gave it to you. I said no, you still owe me $3, you gave me 10 in bills and this. You owe me money. He went and got it and said oh sorry. I get it, it's only $3 on my end but it's the principle of the situation. Don't try to take advantage of your customers. He did it intentionally. Make sure you double check your money when paying with cash. Unfortunately they share tips, so I didn't leave one. Don't be greedy.
Ashleigh P — Google review
love it for what it is! Always consistent, and I’m a big fan of their simple rolls and sashimi. Service is quick, and it’s one of my go-to spots when I’m really hungry. The price matches the all-you-can-eat experience, so it totally makes sense. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner, always smells weird in there
R — Google review
Weird atmosphere here. It's clearly in transition from one restaurant to another. Restrooms are tired with several "room freshening" products. The whole place smells like they are trying to cover up a sewer. Food was mediocre at best. Over cooked calamari, off tasting ginger etc. Server was uninterested and seemed quite upset we didn't order the all you can eat. Not many people at the restaurant.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful sushi experience, look no further than Tenko Sushi. This charming Japanese eatery offers an all-you-can-eat menu that is both affordable and packed with options, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Diners rave about the generous portions served in their Bento boxes, highlighting the freshness and quality of each dish. Tenko stands out not just for its delicious food but also for its welcoming atmosphere and attentive service.
Really great experience at Tenko. We had the dinner all you can eat menu for $35.99 plus taxes. Almost every bit of food that came out was fresh and tasty. I was impressed with the speed at which orders were filled. The only dish I was not a fan of was the garlic chicken. The chicken was a mushy weird texture that just made the overall taste off-putting. The service was good and I appreciated the comfy atmosphere inside. There are tons of great dinner menu dishes that tasted very authentic and did not skimp on flavour. I will definitely be returning.
Andre A — Google review
Great sushi spot with a familiar all-you-can-eat experience! Had lunch at Tenko Sushi on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised. The AYCE menu and selection reminded me of what you’d find in Mississauga, Oakville, or Toronto—big variety, iPad ordering, mix of Japanese and Thai items, and pricing that’s on par with other spots. Lunch was $27.99 + tax (about $31), which felt fair for the quality and options. Highly recommend the green dragon roll, red dragon roll, salmon rose, salmon sushi, sweet potato and pumpkin tempura. Shrimp tempura was smaller than I’ve seen elsewhere but still tasty. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and had a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of free parking available.

Drove from michigan to this place. And i swear its one of the best experience Ive had with all-you-can-eat restaurant ever. We don’t have all you can eat Sushi restaurant in town. But here they don’t just serve sushi but also offering so variety of asian food. Will come back soon!!!
Giska A — Google review
Perfect experience. Super fast service, polite staff and great food. Definitely coming here again. I took a picture of the first dishes that we ordered. I recommend the all you can eat options for dinner!
Aaron C — Google review
The food wasn’t that good. Honestly wouldn’t come again. Portions are small so you don’t over order. For $40 per person you would think the food would taste good. Only good things were the fries and Oreo ice cream. The cheesecake wasn’t even cheesecake, it was vanilla cake. Disappointing. The service was good. Never again tho.
Habib Q — Google review
This is the only sushi spot I’ll go to. I’ve made it a point to go to 5 other competing sushi spots in Windsor and none compare to Tenko. Tenko’s customer service is always the kindest. I’m always greeted politely and I get to pick my seat. The menu is the BEST in terms of a wide range of options. The quality of the food is always consistent. It’s never been off or different in every time I’ve been there. Tastes absolutely amazing. The one star negative reviews have to be fake because they lack essential details on whatever issue they had and they simply cannot be true at all. In my almost 3 years since living here, Tenko has treated me the best and has given me the best food out of all other sushi spots I’ve been to in Windsor. 10/10.

Excellent experience and great for gluten free options! Friendly service and amazing food. Atmosphere was nice and quiet. All you can eat was well worth it.

This place is amazing! Tons of parking. Awesome price for a all you can eat buffet The sushi was awesome! Really fresh. The service from the workers was real friendly and Informative on what was what on the plate when it came, always a smile and always made sure my pop( free refills) was full. The place was very clean. I will be back for another visit.

If you're looking for an intimate sushi spot with great rolls and tasty cocktails, look no further than On a Roll Sushi & Sliders. This laid-back bar has a comfortable atmosphere with classic Windsor lounge ambiance. The staff is welcoming and experienced, making sure every customer has a great experience. There's live music on the weekends, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day.
Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and was SO glad that we stumbled upon this adorable and fun space! We had a table on the patio that was quaint and summery. Our server was hilarious and attentive and gave us all of his suggestions! We enjoyed 3 different sliders (Slow Ride, Hot Blooded and Fiddlers Green) and they were amazing! We also enjoyed 2 different fun and innovative rolls(Crazy Train & Lola) which were colourful and absolutely delicious! This entertaining menu has something for everyone and we will definitely be back next visit to Windsor!
Brienna B — Google review
My fiancé and I ate here twice! Last night. The first time we had the sushi (pictured) which was delicious! Our server was amazing, quick greeting at the door, quick service with drinks, food and the bill as we were on our way to the Caesar for the Yungblud concert. 10/10 experience, arrived around 7-7:10 and were walking out at 7:45 it was the perfect choice. The 2nd time we ate there (11:30-midnight), we came back because we wanted to try their sliders. The same server greeted us and got us waters, but then we didn’t see her again for an while. Another server (she had also been working earlier) came and took our orders. We got the calamari (amazingly good) the egg rolls (good) and we each got 3 sliders ( again amazingly good)…. And we ordered a Moscow mule and a I think Kentucky ass. Calamari came…. Then the Egg rolls came….. then the sliders (did I say these were amazingly good?) but no drinks. Finally spotted the server we had for sushi (no sign of the one who took our orders) and asked if our drinks had been put in. By the time we got them our food was done and we were ready to get some sleep. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express right across the street. As a whole this place is really really good and we will be back again for dinner. I don’t recommend coming here late night and expect a calm, timely dinner or late night snack. Also worth mentioning that there was live music, and the singer had a great voice… volume however was LOUD. Like louder than the rock concert we had just gone to where we were floor level by the stage. All in all I’d give the dinner service (pre show 7-7:15 pm) 10/10 across the board. Late night (post show 11:30-12) like 10/10 for food…. 5/10 for service.

Stopped in after the baseball game on a Friday night. Great sushi and great beers on tap. Service was great. Sushi was out so quickly and so fresh and unique. Will definitely be back when I am back in Windsor. Staff is very attentive. Thumbs up!!!
Graham R — Google review
Been here several times for food, drinks, and live music on the weekends. Excellent service, cool vibes, delicious sushi and sliders. Very friendly and personable staff. Live music late weekend evenings can be a bit loud for conversations but there’s room on the patio for a quieter atmosphere. Overall 10/10 recommendation
Benjamin G — Google review
Great food and really cool concept! I've been here a few times and it is always good. The menu seems to rotate before I can try everything I'd like to try. The last server we had was super attentive and the owner George came by to see how everything was. Super laid back atmosphere that seemed to have a wide variety of different people for dinner. I've been in the evenings too and it's hoppin'.
Nic K — Google review
Omg the food was delicious, sliders and sushi. WOULD absolutely come back for a bite and drinks.
Ziza M — Google review
Absolutely delicious. Simple concept. Do not just order one slider. I would recommend three of the hot-blooded. It's small and I say ask questions because they know their menu. Will be returning when I am in town.

Kona Sushi - Walkerville is a delightful gem that keeps patrons coming back for more. With its cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot for a date night or a celebration with friends. The staff, including the attentive Jess and talented Siba, go above and beyond to make every visit special. Diners rave about the incredible sushi offerings, particularly recommending the Karma roll and kicking calamari as must-tries. Many guests have enjoyed their first experience so much that they promise to return soon!
What an amazing experience!!! I cannot put into words what a spectacular night we had celebrating my son's 17th birthday. Our server Andy was one of the highlights to our night and he really showed us the best service on our sons special night. The food presentation and quality was on point tonight. Cringe but it was bussin! Haha. We want to thank all of the staff too who were super attentive and accommodating and kind! Thank you kitchen staff and prep staff!!! Great job Kona Walkerville!!!
Karla's K — Google review
Best sushi in Windsor! I was super hungry and decided to try something new. After checking out the menu and doing a bit of research, I went with the Karma roll and wow, best decision ever. It was absolutely mind-blowing. If you’re heading to Kona Sushi, you must must musssttttttt try it. Totally worth it!
Mahmuda A — Google review
I used to love going to kona. Specially their BBQ eel. However, after 2 months break the quality is dropping massively. The bbq eel is still cold, the salmon is breaking apart and tastes oily. The taste for main course is such a disappointment. Only good things is the miso soup and ice cream. ( This review for their AYCE ). Pay by dish might be better.
Tommy240196 — Google review
Leaving my first bad review — sorry, but I spend too much money here for it to be this bad lately. We usually spend around $120 per order, and the inconsistency is crazy. Rolls fall apart, items are missing, and it feels like more rice than anything. The tuna tasted slightly off this time, and we didn’t even bother ordering edamame since they forgot it the last two times. The dine-in all-you-can-eat is great, but online orders have become a real disappointment.
Michael S — Google review
Fantastic Japanese food in town, very tasty, enjoyed piece of sushi we ordered, you HAVE TO try their Karma Roll, it’s very delicious. If you enjoy your deep fried items with thicker crust, this is your place to go to as well.
Jimmy — Google review
Had an amazing time today with my friend. The vibe, service, and food were great. They even made us feel extra special with a special note on our sushi platter.

I recently dined at kona sushi, and it was an absolute delight for my taste buds. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and each piece was a flavorful masterpiece. The presentation was on point, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. The ambiance was cozy, providing a perfect setting for a delightful meal. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall dining experience. If you're a sushi lover, kona sushi is a hidden gem that promises a satisfying and memorable culinary journey.

The ambience in the restaurant is beautiful. The customer service is fantastic as well. Came in and was seated immediately. I’ve been eating at the restaurant for years now. The food never disappoints. And I have to say their nigiri is to die for. 12/10 recommend :))

The Dragonfly Sushi Bar is a warm, homey spot serving Japanese street food and sushi served on granny-chic plates. The fish is always fresh tasting, the rolls are simple but of very high quality, and their banh mi slider menu is popular among Yelpers.
Me and my friend went here the other day for her birthday and the food was really good. The service was awesome and just the atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice.

Cute place, great service, and sushi is always so fresh and delicious. Portions of fish are very generous for the price. The shrimp dumpling curry soup is phenomenal. Drinks are delicious and fairly priced as well.

Phenomenal quality, fresh ingredients, consistently delicious, generous portions, always satisfied ordering from here! Great variety of rolls and sauces; highly recommend the Dragonfly sauce and Shitake Soy sauce. I’ve tried almost every roll, love them all. You can get rolls without green onion, I always opt for it, works well with all my favourite rolls. Ratio of rice to other ingredients is perfect, the owner and chef definitely mastered that! Fresh chunks of fish is incredibly satiating. I always order take out, their online system works great. Pick up is easy, the couple running the store are awesome, always kind and welcoming. Attention to detail is next level, from the food preparation, interior decor of the store, and to the careful packaging; items always neatly arranged for the ride home.

My husband surprised me for Valentines Day and brought me to my favourite resteraunt Akasaka. In May 2020, it will be 28 years that I have been dining at Akasaka. It originally was called Koto Buki when I first found out about it in 1992 at the Dougall location. Then Steve changed name and location and moved to Town of Tecumseh which I was really thrilled about as it was only 4 min from my home. Now he is back at same location where Koto Buki used to be but this time kept the Akasaka name. We are still following him around after 28 years. Best Sushi in Windsor. Chef steve did an amazing job tonight with dinner as usual. I ordered my favourite Chicken Katsu and Cali Mom roll, Chicken tempura roll, and for appetizer shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura. The food is always so fresh. I also ordered green tea and the waitresses were very attentive to make sure it was refilled and warm. The waitresses were very friendly and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere is always nice and conducive to conversations. Review of 2 years ago: Chef Steve and his staff do an awesome job with all their dishes. Have been going to this restaurant for 25 years. Food is always fresh and delicious. My favourite is the chicken katsu, shrimp tempura and the veggie tempura. The decor is cozy and nice place to talk with friends.
Maria M — Google review
My friends and I enjoyed the food. I had the tonkatsu, and my friends had noodles. We shared the white tiger roll and california roll. My Japanese friend said the food tasted the same just like from back home. We'll definitely come back here.

Traditional sushi. The best you can get in the area. They use atlantic fish which is far more tastier and melts on your tongue. The sushi chef was very knowledgeable and very friendly to talk to. Had a great experience here and will be returning.

Delicious and beautiful meals. This place used to be on lesperance and they moved here, but the food is worth following them across town. It costs more than your average, but it has never disappointed me. Friendly owners and staff

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. I ordered a variety of sushi for take out. Firstly spot on customer service. The chef thanked me for my order!! The food itself??? amazingly delicious and fresh. The roles were huge, the filling was substantial and the tempura was cooked to perfection. To be honest I was never a big sushi fan until now. I do not live in the Windsor area but if this place was near me in the Niagara area I would be a regular customer. BRAVO!!!
Annur Z — Google review
First time ordering food from this restaurant. Placed an order for a couple of rolls of sushi. Everything was ready on time, organized and labeled perfectly, and not a roll was out of place. The taste, quality of ingredients and freshness was top notch. Our order also came with free soup and salad which was also great. The employee also asked how many people this order was for, so as to include the right amount of soy sauce for each person. Above and beyond, and impressed. Not going anywhere else for sushi!

The best place to have Japanese food in Windsor. Very attentive and helpful service each of the 3 times I have been there, as well. My daughter cannot have gluten and this can be very frustrating and challenging. When we went there together, our server took her needs seriously and went to great effort to communicate that with the kitchen. Very much appreciated.

The Japanese restaurant Marukin Restaurant Inc is a great place to go for sushi and other Japanese food. They have good prices, cleanliness, and a good Asian beer selection. The service was very good and the meal was quite affordable at $8. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Excellent food! Fresh, authentic and delicious! The wonton soup was made fresh to order, totally worth the wait. Spring rolls were perfectly cooked! Overall great option for dinner!

My wife and I tried it for dinner, the atmosphere is nice. It's not big but comfortable. Food was excellent. Had Bento Boxes, very well prepared. Service was also very good and polite. I would recommend.
Luke P — Google review
Marukin Restaurant is, without a doubt, my go-to spot in the city. This Japanese and Thai restaurant has quickly become my favorite, and for good reason. The owner does all the cooking, which ensures a consistently high level of quality and freshness in every dish. You can really taste the difference—each plate feels carefully crafted, and the ingredients are always vibrant and flavorful. The prices are also very reasonable, making it easy to indulge in excellent Japanese and Thai cuisine without breaking the bank. Living close by, it’s tough to resist stopping in frequently, and I find myself returning more often than I can count. Over the years, I've brought countless friends here, and they all end up loving it just as much as I do. Marukin has a certain hidden gem quality, making it feel like a special discovery in Windsor. The owner is genuinely kind and clearly passionate about his work, which adds a personal touch that makes each visit memorable. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu—from the fresh sushi and sashimi to the flavorful Thai curries—and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The seafood is fresh, the spices in the curries are perfectly balanced, and the portions are just right. You simply can’t go wrong at Marukin. If you're in Windsor and craving Japanese or Thai, do yourself a favor and visit this wonderful spot.
Maxwell P — Google review
Had the sashimi platter as an appetizer, it tasted very fresh, salmon and tuna all were very good. And then for my main I had a steak and prawn hibachi style dinner, which was amazing. It's all at a very good price, would recommend. Lovely service and very friendly vibe.
Josh C — Google review
Very good prices. Clean, great food, good Asian beer selection. Sapporo on tap. Service was very good. Definitely will return. They have a good variety of sushi. They have sake, plum wine, a good selection of wine, and they have lots of combo deals. The lunch special is a hearty meal and quite affordable at $8. They have vegetarian options and it is wheelchair accessible, though, I don't know about the washroom. I was pleasantly surprised when I went there today for the first time. I hope to try it again soon.

This Windsor sushi restaurant is known for its delicious and fresh sushi. It's perfect for any occasion - whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a romantic dinner out. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the owner remembers her customers' favorite orders. Regardless of which way you choose to enjoy your meal, you can be sure that it will be amazing!
I visited during the evening hours of the weekdays and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. She explained to me the Korean menu besides sushi and Japanese. The dishes I ordered were pretty and delicious. The atmospheric music played quietly in the restaurant and the hall staff checked the table from time to time, allowing me to have a comfortable and pleasant meal. It was a very satisfying meal. I will visit again.

Easily my favourite sushi joint in Windsor. The service is impeccable(food came fresh and fast and the hostest was polite, professional and very attentive). The food is beyond scrumptious and the prices are very affordable. 2 rolls, 2 appetizers and a pot of tea was just over $50(including tax and tip).

Amazing sushi and an even more amazing chef! I visited during a business trip, and the experience was exceptional. The chef was so generous and even provided complimentary items, which was such a nice touch. The new roll menu is fantastic, with unique and delicious options. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality sushi in Windsor 😊

Simply DELICIOUS!! Wow, what else can I say? Jenny and Bryan, you keep raising the bar! Today’s lunch was so fresh, so delicious and I enjoyed every last bite. So satisfying and so filling!!! What a perfect way to start off summer (lunch by California Sushi.) The options are gratifying and I tried a new roll today and I al so glad that I did! Always friendly, courteous and very clean! California Sushi is definitely Windsor’s best sushi restaurant and it’s authentic and made very fresh to order! You will NOT be disappointed. They never let you down. Thank you for a beautiful meal (as always!)

My family and I were visiting a friend in Windsor and had a craving for sushi. We stopped by The California Sushi because they had great reviews, we are super happy we did. We had the Medium Sushi boat as well as a variety of rolls and the udon. The fish was fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. The store is run by a young couple who were super friendly and attentive to our needs. My son is very picky and his plate was empty by the end of the meal. If you're in Windsor and need a sushi fix this is a cant miss.

Nice cozy place for sushi. I’ve always found the fish to be fresh. Rolls are good but sashimi is where it’s at. So good!

This is THE BEST sushi I have had in my extensive travels! Everything was fresh, rich in flavor, and overall delicious! Service was excellent, restaurant was very clean, staff went above and beyond! They shared with us that they recently opened under new management last month. We ordered the tuna Tataki, the sashimi appetizer, and the Chirashi Don. The next time we are in town, we will absolutely be stopping here!

Today, I had a delightful lunch at Quick Sushi. The crab salad was light, fresh, and flavorful. The shrimp tempura consisted mainly of shrimp rather than being overwhelmed by batter. The combination of calamari with jalapeno was excellent and surprisingly not chewy. One interesting aspect of the restaurant is the floating boats that serve freshly made sushi on differently colored plates that correspond to various prices - a neat concept!
Quick Sushi truly impressed me with its top-notch sushi and commitment to quality, providing a delicious experience that went above and beyond in terms of flavor. I ordered four rolls—the Volcano Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Samurai Roll, and Tiger Roll—and each one showcased the restaurant’s attention to detail and use of fresh, premium ingredients. The Volcano Roll was packed with a satisfying, spicy kick that added a bold flair, perfectly balancing heat with fresh, savory flavors. The Philadelphia Roll was creamy and smooth, with fresh salmon and avocado that made it a delight to eat, delivering that classic, comforting taste we expect in a Philly roll but with a noticeably elevated freshness. The Samurai Roll was a pleasant surprise; the unique combination of ingredients and textures made it stand out, offering a crispy element that provided a fantastic contrast to the soft, fresh fillings. The Tiger Roll was equally impressive, featuring shrimp that was both tender and flavorful, complemented by a slight crunch that added a wonderful complexity to each bite. Each roll was not only tasty but also beautifully presented, reflecting the effort and skill that went into its preparation. The aesthetic and meticulous presentation made the meal feel even more special. However, despite the incredible quality of the sushi, the service was slower than I expected. I waited almost 40 minutes for my order, which was a bit disappointing, especially considering the restaurant’s reputation for quality. While the wait was longer than ideal, the food itself made up for it, and I left satisfied with the flavors and freshness. If Quick Sushi could improve its service speed, the dining experience would be perfect, as the quality and flavor of the sushi are already exceptional. For anyone seeking an outstanding sushi experience, Quick Sushi is well worth a visit, and I’m hopeful that with quicker service, this place could easily become my top sushi spot. Highly recommended for sushi lovers who value flavor, quality, and artistry in their food!

Don’t look anywhere else in Windsor for sushi because you have just found your GO TO sushi spot. Super fresh fish, great flavors and unique menu items. Cozy vibes inside and nice service.
Nadine L — Google review
I heard a lot of talks of the Sushi here being high quality, and one of the best in Windsor. Gave it a shot. Without reservation, we were a party of five and we were seated at the bar as the only three tables in the restaurant were either taken or reserved. Once we sat, the gentleman had brought five waters. For some odd reason two out of the five waters were cold and crisp. And the other three waters were room temperature, strange , but definitely something I noticed. I ordered the Tiger roll and the grilled salmon roll As well as two pieces of salmon nigiri, and red tuna nigiri. The grilled salmon roll was beautifully present, fresh flavourful ingredients, salmon was torched perfectly. My problem with that role is that the tempura shrimp was overcooked. It was so crunchy that it was the most prominent texture I can taste throughout the hole roll. I mean, you can tell it was more dark than I usually see shrimp tempura. Just threw me off. Had the shrimp not been overcooked it would have been a perfect role. The Tiger roll was decent. Nothing to rave about.. The Salmon Nigiri was pretty good as well, did not have a fishy flavour or anything of that nature. Little bit on the hefty side being $7.50 for two pieces however they were relatively big. The tuna Nigiri was just a disappointment, as you can see in the photos and videos they seem to be a little old and not the freshest. The fish was disintegrating into fibrous strands, ( not how it should be if fresh) It was not pleasant. You can tell it’s not top quality or as fresh as it can be. Was disappointed with those. All in all with tax my bill came up to $52. Don’t get me wrong, the portions are enormous as those items had more than filled me up. However, the small details with the water and the tuna and the overly cooked shrimp tempura could not go without being stated. Overall 3.7/5 would not come again

The Sushi was definitely higher quality than the all the AYCE sushi spots. However, I’ve had decent sushi for cheaper. Service was good & quick. This spot is better suited for 1-4 people, because there aren’t many seating options that accommodate more than 4 people. Also, the spicy mayo was the best I’ve ever had!

Niko Sushi is a relaxed Japanese establishment found in a shopping mall that offers an impressive array of seafood rolls, both big and small, along with delightful tempura dishes. This sushi spot stands out among others due to its outstanding crab Rangoon, which surpasses any I have tasted in different cities and countries around the world. Niko Sushi guarantees freshness and delectable flavors consistently.
My favorite sushi is Tempora crab, it’s something out of the ordinary and very very delicious. Highly recommend

So many times been here and always ordered for my son rolls with cooked salmon. Today we’re told that it is impossible to get it from the menu. That’s frustrating, because we’re been driving from far away to this place specially for this type of rolls. I even have a picture of them. By the way, sushi are always fresh and great, can’t complain.

Ordered through the take out apps! I got the Oshima and Kamikaze with 2 piece red tuna. Always consistent and great sushi overall. I love the 5 piece options, great selection and the roll is large!
Jessica E — Google review
I’ve given this place far too many chances, and I’m officially done. As a vegan, I always make it a point to order clearly labeled vegan rolls and ask staff to be mindful of cross-contamination. Despite this, I’ve repeatedly witnessed staff handle fish and then immediately touch my food without changing gloves something that makes me incredibly uncomfortable and goes against my dietary choices. Tonight was the final straw. I arrived at 7:45 p.m., thinking I had time to place a quick order before they closed at 8:00. Instead, I was met with one of the rudest customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. A girl at the counter curtly told me they were closed and had already shut off the machine no apology, no explanation, not even basic courtesy. She wouldn’t make eye contact and walked away mid-conversation. I’ve tried to support this spot despite past issues, but between the poor handling of vegan orders and now this unacceptable behavior, I can no longer justify coming back. I’m officially boycotting this place and would not recommend it to anyone who values respectful service or has dietary restrictions.

I ordered the combo #9 for $7.99. I definitely thought the rice would be on the outside of the roll as I thought the picture showed. 5 pieces of spicy salmon roll, 4 of cucumber! The sushi itself was really tasty and not bad for the price, I liked the variety. They weren’t rolled very well though and fell apart when using chop sticks.

I know it’s in the mall but I am telling you it is one of the best sushi spots around. The crab Rangoon is the best I’ve ever had hands down. And I have tried crab Rangoon in various cities and countries and none of them stack up to Niko’s crab Rangoon. I got a fried crab tempura roll, crab Rangoon and cucumber and cream cheese roll. Always fresh always delicious. The Niko sauce is to die for, I could probably drink it, it’s that good. Both the regular one and the spicy one. Definitely nom noms! Highly recommend
Tyko D — Google review
I was so disappointed. The rice was not seasoned at all. I ordered a giant party platter and it was just a giant platter of rice because they packed on the rice. There was little to no fish just tempura flakes and minimal crab/shrimp meat. It did not taste fresh at all and I’ve heard so many good things about Nico. I don’t know what happened, but I will never order from there ever again.

If you're on the hunt for an exceptional sushi experience, look no further than Salt. Sushi. This hidden gem is renowned for its all-you-can-eat option that offers a remarkable variety of fresh and delicious sushi at a very reasonable price, especially compared to other local spots. Guests rave about the attentive service provided by staff members like Frank, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. The restaurant boasts a clean and modern ambiance, making it an inviting place to enjoy your meal.
Great sushi place! Food tasted great. Only problem is that our waiter was taking orders, busing tables, a host for guests and making drinks. Give this man an award.
Raikkonen D — Google review
I’ve been wanting to try Salt Sushi for the longest time, and I finally got the chance—but unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The menu itself was impressive, with plenty of options, but the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. We ordered some sashimi, but it seemed freezer-burnt, with noticeable discoloration. Some of the rolls also had a very strong fishy taste, which was off-putting. Another surprise was the desserts, I had no idea they were served as rolls, which made them feel much heavier than expected. That being said, there were a couple of standout items. The crab Rangoons and shrimp tempura were both delicious and well-prepared. I really enjoyed those, but overall, I was hoping for a much better experience.

Great sushi I would highly recommend! I would just recommend doing your due dilligence if muslim consuming Halal food to ask about deep fried as I was informed all deep fried items were done together with meat and not in separate sections.

Oishii Sushi is a popular all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant that stands out for its well-balanced fish to rice ratio, offering beautifully cut fish on a reasonable amount of rice. In addition to their delicious sushi, they also serve fantastic non-sushi options such as BBQ short ribs and a variety of dishes suitable for those who prefer not to eat fish.
Oishi Sushi is a gem when it comes to Sushi places in the city. Their menu offers wide varieties of Sushi, sashimi, maki, hand roll, appetisers and main course items. They have ramen options too. They offer good options for vegetarian too. I personally loved their spicy miso soup and almost every sushi dish they offer. They have lunch combos 🍱 and sushi sets if you are going in a group. They have A La Carte and all you can eat both at great prices. One of the best part is the hospitality of the staff, they are hard working people and professional. Anita was our server and she is simply the best. They have priced the menu at a great rate and offer amazing quality food. Definitely one of the best spots in the city for Sushi. It’s my favourite when it comes to Japanese food 🍛. Highly Highly recommend this place. Support #local beautiful people!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I enjoyed the food. But the service was really weird. Because you will be waited by different people during the whole service. We weren't explained about the menu at all. Just was handed over an ipad. We guessed that is how you order from the ala carte menu as well. Later, another waiter came over. It was like if you order using the ipad, you are ordering for all you can eat. Me and my friend were fine with it. But it took us a long time to understand how to order things. We ordered 10 pieces of dumplings but were served 16 pieces. It was during the end of the meal, and we couldn't finish (we left the extra ones untouched). During checkout, we were not so nicely told that we shouldn't waste food. I personally never order more that I can chew, but in this scenario, I don't know what I did wrong. Overall, as first-time visitors, we had to guess and look at other people to understand how the whole dynamic works. I understand they are very busy on Sunday, but it would be nice if we had a dedicated waiter and have us explained how the menu worked. If someone is spending 50 dollars for a meal, that is the least one can expect. But the food was good. I enjoyed most of the things.
Afsary A — Google review
I’ve been to so many all-you-can-eat sushi places, but Oishi Sushi is easily one of the best! The variety and freshness of the sushi are outstanding, with every roll bursting with flavor. The presentation is beautiful, and they’re generous with portions too. What really sets Oishi apart is the service—absolutely top-notch! The staff is attentive, friendly, and always quick to bring out fresh plates. I never had to wait long, and they really made me feel welcome throughout my meal. If you’re a sushi lover, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

This is an All-You-Can-Eat place. Half of our group did AYCE, while I personally ordered from the ala carte menu. I had Fire Dragon Rolls (4pcs), and Tempura Vegetables (8 pcs). The rolls were tasty, and the tempura was decently-fried. Service was fast, and the price reasonable for what I ordered. The food that my friends had for AYCE all looked tasty as well.

Had a great meal here although would have been nice to have clear instruction on how the buffet worked. Price on buffet should have been given and also detailed instructions on the iPad ordering. So anyone going- order throughout your meal dish at a time if you like as to not cause wastage. Will definitely go back tho.

Nice and friendly staff. Great service. Even when the restaurant is busy, they served us fast. Lots of options to choose from. Good for vegans, for carnivores, for those who love spicy food. Iguana Sushi is one of my favorite sushi restaurants of all time. Its small and tucked away but it has amazing high quality food with good service and fantastic atmosphere. Also, as is most important with sushi, Iguana offers fresh food at a good price.
Chris H — Google review
The atmosphere and music was great! The food and service.... Well.... The tempura was very heavy and saucy, and the sushi rice was completely tasteless. So overall, the food was not that impressive. Sorry to the cute guy with the man bun working behind the sushi bar!! I also think their special iguana sauce may have a sesame/peanut base?? I'm not sure, but definitely check if you have allergies! The waiters were not super positive or outgoing, but our female waiter was really good at keeping up with our water and whatnot.
Julian A — Google review
This place has been around for a long time and still serves some excellent Sushi. The offerings are different than the usual Sushi places, and the fish is always fresh. Pair it with some Iguana sauce and you have an excellent meal. They also have a fair sized patio for outdoor enjoyment. Be advised though that they only accept cash.
Michael M — Google review
The sushi wasn't the best and I have had sushi almost everywhere. The staff were GREAT however and atmosphere was good but was not worth the money. Unfortunately I will not go back just due to taste. The spicy sauce wasn't good at all. Not the typical sauce you get other places.
Kat D — Google review
My wife and I have always loved their sushi. We gave them three chances. Twice our take out order has been wrong. Was charged extra to add an ingredient that wasn't there. Got home to no chop sticks, napkins, or sauce on the side. And one time while we walked in hours before they were due to close, they served us water then told us because it was slow they were going to close early. We were paying customers sitting there ready to order. Enough. Not worth over priced sushi with rude staff that can't get an order right.

I live in Etobicoke, and I'm jealous that I don't live in Windsor any more after having just ate here on Easter weekend. The Sushi was absolute fantastic. The Veggie Blossom roll had the most flavourful Chinese chives I've ever tasted - what a burst of flavour - and the Black Widow was the best I ever had - the sauces, smoked salmon, panko and everything was amazing. The rice, fish and vegetables are all totally fresh - top notch ingredients that warrant the prices. Iguana, I will miss you - and you'll have my business the next time I visit Windsor! They serve amazing sushi and it's totally well-worth the money.
Katie E — Google review
Prices seem high but the portions make up for it. Good sushi, all with an unique twist that you won't find elsewhere in Windsor. Worth going back to try new takes on menu items that seem same-old-same-old, but turn out to be bigger and better than other sushi places.
Matthew B — Google review
I have gone in the past and it was good. But this past time to was terrible. The waitress and very nice and good atmosphere however the sushi was poor quality and overpriced, all the rolls were mainly imitation crab. Also ordered miso soup and it was cold, sent it back and was just warm the second time. There was also dirty sauce bowls on the table when we sat down (all 4) at the table we had reserved.
