Basil Café is a casual establishment that serves comforting Vietnamese and Thai dishes, as well as appetizers and vegan options. The food is highly regarded, particularly if you have a preference for Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. Additionally, the prices are affordable, making it a great choice for an inexpensive night out. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, creating a pleasant dining environment. The menu offers delicious options from both Vietnamese and Thai cuisines.
My husbands pad tai was to die for. I really enjoyed my shrimp veggie dish. Calamari was okay. Our waitress tonight was wonderful. Attentive and funny/personable. The gentlemen that seated us/refilled our water glasses was great too. Will come back soon!

A good variety of food on the menu…but the food was very blend…wasn’t cooked for the Asian taste…the flavor of certain dishes wasn’t there. There was a little hint of it only…like the papaya salad did not have enough shrimp paste or fish sauce in it. The pho had clear broth….with hardly any condiments for it.
Zee L — Google review
The Basil Cafe is one of the most reputable restaurants in Town. For me, they were amazing with just one issue - The protein quantity in dishes could definitely improve. 🍤 Started off with the Tom Yum soup , chose the protein as Shrimp - Excellent but the soup had 2 small shrimps. The broth of the soup was one of the best. 🌯 The egg rolls were delicious, crunchy and flavourful. No one does it better than them in Fox Valley for me. 🥘 Pad Kee Mao - Yummy rice noodles with chicken. Ordered this as Spicy but still needed additional chilli oil as the spice was sub par for me. 🍚 🥭- Mango Sticky Rice - Unfortunately the least favourite part of the evening, I was trying this dish for the first time and didn’t like it. Not a restaurant specific, I feel this isnt my cup of tea. Ate the magoes off it 😂 Overall, Basil Cafe as always scores high on ambiance and service along with good food. — eating dinner at Basil Café.

We live about couple of hours away but we always come to Basil Cafe whenever we're in town. On this visit, we ordered calamari, egg rolls, beef pho, pad thai and avocado bobba tea. We loved all food and drinks except for the egg rolls... we're Asians so we have had all sorts of egg rolls, and this one is underwhelming. Meanwhile the yummy calamari came with sweet chili sauce, but this sauce we usually pair with egg rolls. So we asked for vinegar instead as dipping for calamari...which made it taste better. It would have been better if the vinegar came with spices like onions and peppers, but we deemed it was too much to ask so we just settled for the plain vinegar.:) Overall, it was a delightful experience and we had a food coma after. LOL! We were so famished we forgot to take pictures too!

Absolutely delicious food. The spicy basil with tofu was loaded with tofu, flavor, and just enough heat. I would definitely return for more.
Robert J — Google review
Best Asian food in Appleton. The service here is unmatched. Great people who truly care that your meal is everything you hoped for. And you need to try the Nutella dessert option. It's incredible.
Walt H — Google review
Food was good, but note that spice level is fairly weak. I ordered level 3/4 and it could have definitely been spicier. I’d order level 4 if I come back. The Pad Thai was alright. The Pad See Eew was delicious!

Best Lao and Thai we have had in such a long time! And we have had it in many states across the country. My partner and I were the only Asians in the establishment. We thought maybe it was going to be a lil watered down or Americanized. But everything was flavorful, fresh and on point. My taste buds were dancing in heaven. In addition, the establishment was clean and beautiful. The staff was also very kind and friendly. I hope this place many years of business and success. I will be coming back!

Katsu-Ya of Japan is an upscale restaurant chain known for its creative sushi rolls and traditional hibachi grill dishes. Located in downtown Appleton, it offers the best sushi in the area. The restaurant provides a unique dining experience where customers can cook their own dishes at the table and enjoy plenty of rice and well-prepared meats. The service is outstanding, and the food always arrives promptly.
This is a great place for sushi, hibachi, and/or hot-pot all under one roof. We opted for sushi and enjoyed the wide variety of proteins, textures, and flavors. The pork belly bao buns are a great way to start. The highlight of the evening was the torched snapper, but I was also impressed by the curry on the godzilla roll. The scallop ceviche tasted as good as its presentation. I highly recommend trying Katsu-Ya if you haven't already. I will certainly be back to try more!

I LOVE Katsuya. It is my go-to sushi restaurant in the Fox valley. I always have the best service, the food never has disappointed, and the atmosphere is so vibey and romantic.

I have been here 3 times, and each experience is different. I would recommend reservations, I have had to wait up to 45 minutes. They do not take reservations for Saturdays, which kinda sucks, so I would recommend going earlier to get a table. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, but there is a paid parking garage next door, out you can try to find parking in the area along the street- it is a busy area however. The food here is great! I get the table with the little grill and you are able to select 3 meats, you are also brought a small cup of veggies and rice. Sometimes it comes together, sometimes not. They do not allow substitutions on the meats, so choose wisely. There are seafood options, along with steaks and chicken. They also bring you 3 different sauces for dipping. The meat comes preseasoned, and it's very good. You can easily spend at least 2 hours here for a meal this way, but they do have a hibachi area, and sushi, which is also very good. I usually get a roll while waiting for the entrees. The rice does get cold, my only gripe. The best thing about this place is the value. It will be costly to dine at the table grilling, but it's 32 bucks for good portions of 3 different meat options, which can include filet mignon- plus rice and veg. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth for the food plus the pleasure of my dining company and ambience. Highly recommend you check it out!

In town for a great UMCVB conference!Decided to head over next door and enjoy some late dinner. It was amazing. The shrimp tempura was so delicate. The dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Filet and hanger steak was out of this world and so tender. Rice perfectly cooked and the sushi was a marriage of flavors and textures. The service was top knotch! He was attentive without being over bearing and knowledgeable about the entire menu. Many thanks from Discover Ames!

Had such a great experience; wonderful place for a date night. Loved the grill in the middle of our table and the fun cocktails!

Our server was extra attentive but not overly so. Tried the new pork belly buns and was surprised by how great they were. The attention to detail including the scented hand towels push this restaurant over the top in the affordable section.
Anthony R — Google review
Been here several times. The inside is nice. The hibachi is almost always amazing. The chefs are amazing. And I typically have great-good service on the hibachi bside. I've only had to wait a long time once and it was because they were down a chef. But when we were served, the chef was hilarious and made up for it. But the sushi side...won't go again. Tried it 3 times. Me and my husband got sick each time, even when we ordered different sushi rolls. The service is poor each time. Staff very unfriendly. The give you one menu for the whole table to share, don't check in on you, if you have questions regarding the menu, the staff are standoffish to answer. Its just not a welcoming environment on that side. Definitely will not do the sushi side again.
Amanda K — Google review
Been going here since 2017. Its been a hot sec due to busy schedule but they changed the menu and the yaki niku set which was $36 for three types of meats you can choose from with veggies and rice. They changed it to a sampler set for $32 where you get multiple different type of meats, no veggies. As someone who came here constantly for special occasions, this set was not worth it. You get like 2 pieces of each. I miss the old set as I already knew which specific meats I want. The individual purchases is $9-11 dollars with only 5-6 pieces of meats each which provides way less meat than the previous set. Definitely feel like I paid more for less and was not worth the price. At least the previous set had me full.

GingeRootz Asian Grille is a lively dining spot that showcases a delightful array of Asian cuisine, drawing inspiration from the culinary traditions of China, Thailand, Korea, and Japan. The restaurant boasts a colorful and contemporary atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. While many dishes are well-received—like their crispy Crystal Shrimp with its creamy sauce—some guests have expressed concerns about certain offerings, particularly sushi made with pre-packaged rice that lacks freshness.
We whipped in on a major holiday and got a table right away. The staff was lovely and attentive. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was down our gullets in seconds. My son even used the lettuce garnish to scoop up the remaining sauce. His steak dish and my beef bulgogi went right down the hatch as well. The place was clean and upscale, and the location was handy, too. Glad our first choice was closed that day. Put your root down, and go to town.

We got there about half after they opened and no one was around. We waiting for a while before anyone realized we were there. The calamari was the best I've had in awhile, but the t Tofu Hot Pot said it would be spicy, it was not... AT ALL, it was pretty bland. My boyfriend's Kung Pao Trio was decent but I did not expect the sweetness in the sauce. I think his dish had a bit more flavor than my dish. The ambiance was very nice though, soft music and open space. However when more people showed up, the sound bounced off the walls.

Fantastic experience dining here with my book club. We had a terrific server, Gianna, who was very helpful, friendly and attentive. Service was prompt and the food was so good - something for everyone. I love to build a bowl with my favorites (udon noodles, tofu, veggies and a spicy Hunan sauce) - so good! The ginger tea is also very tasty.

Was my first time here. Amazing food- loved the Appleton Roll. Had grilled tangerine chicken and both were delicious. Staff super friendly and attentive as well! Was a little chilly inside but otherwise comfortable atmosphere ✨️
Natasha W — Google review
Very pleased with our recent visit. Ordered the Appleton roll, GR Chicken and Kapoon (not on printed menu yet but available by request). Hostess/bartender Jaquee was extremely helpful and very friendly and forthcoming with recommendations. Appleton roll was very tasty but would benefit from more salmon in the roll. GR Chicken was very good. The Kapoon was 5 star. It's like a curry/soup which is different but definitely worked. Would never have ordered it on my own but like trying different foods and Jaquee mentioned it several times so I gave it a go. I asked for spice level "3" (1-5) and it was perfect. Great taste, very bright and felt home cooked. Will definitely be back again.

I have gone here for years. Sadly, since they stopped serving sushi, this place has really gone downhill in food and service. The food quality and taste is what you'd get at a cheap Asian buffet, but with top dollar prices. Ingredients were missing for items that I ordered, only to have to ask about it and find out that they had run out of (or didn't restock?) ingredients. The one sushi appetizer left on the menu is gross -- they cook the fish, add fried bits and you can barely find tasteless "cream cheese" -- it's mushy and not sushi. Staff appear to be mostly young adults who tried, but didn't really know the place and didn't check in to see what we needed. I felt sorry for our server who was put on a bind with the missing ingredients and could only apologize as there was no way to fix it. The place itself is now dirty, cheap looking, and set with rather plain tables and chairs. There are no buffers between tables so you hear everything around you. Food was sent home in a brown paper bag like a grocery store, in cheap paper containers, despite the $80 price tag. If you want cheap, bland Asian food, save your money and go to a buffet where the prices match the quality, and you get to taste everything. Totally disappointed. This was the last time at GingeRootz for me. It is the end of an iconic era and a legend.
The L — Google review
Food was good! We waited a while to be seated there was no one at the front when we arrived and the dinning room was empty.

I enjoyed a wonderful night out with my family. It's been a year or so since the last time I was here, and since we are a family that loves Asian food, we decided on GingerRoots. The food and service were excellent. Both my niece and I had the chicken lo mein, and my wife had the General Cho's chicken, my sister had the tofu shrimp pot, my father had the Aji tuna, and my other niece had the Mandarin chicken. We also had the calamari for our appetizer and both the chocolate and deep-fried cheesecake for dessert. We all look forward to returning.

HuHot Mongolian Grill is a popular chain eatery that offers customers the opportunity to enjoy unlimited, customizable stir-fry meals in a casual atmosphere. Truck drivers and travelers across the United States are drawn to this restaurant for its fresh, make-your-own stir-fry dishes. Out of all the locations they have visited, one particular HuHot stands out due to its unique feature of allowing patrons to include rice in their stir-fries before cooking.
We LOVE dining at HuHot! Today we ordered take out (online) for a tree service crew, choosing rice as a side option for our Mongolian Grill meals. Excellent! RAVE reviews all around including from the worker who had the two kid meal options because he doesn’t eat veggies! Healthy and delicious! Team HuHot did a GREAT job with every step of our order!
Da K — Google review
Pretty nice place, it's an interesting concept and they do it well. The options are pretty plentiful and I love that it's all you can eat. Good food and a show, what's not to love. 4 stars as it's an open buffet, inherently unsanitary and cross contamination. The decor and theme is also a bit tacky. The food was really good though, I'll come again if I don't get too sick tonight. P.S. do not get the crab rangoons, it's just a fat glob of cream cheese.
Kaydence L — Google review
Great friendly atmosphere. Well attended by the staff. Food is cooked to perfection and no mushy stuff.... I mean, if you like it cooked longer, let them know, they will oblige. Love it!
Alex A — Google review
HuHot serves tasty stir fry for a reasonable price. When they say Hu(HOT) they mean piping HOT. Not playing... It's always fun formulating different recipes by combining the many sauces and oils available. It's AYCE, so experiment at will. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and it was clean.
Steven B — Google review
I've eaten at HuHot numerous times over the last 15 years and always enjoyed it. While I had great service this time around, the restaurant is beginning to show its age and the cooks have lost some of their focus. While my food burned away on the grill, the kid playing with the water tried to reconstitute the burned sauces to pass the time. I'll try again in the future but this time around it just wasn't up to par.
Clay ( — Google review
Very good variety of ingredients, sauces. Cooked to perfection by the amazing chefs. Zach in particular made sure our food was great and we appreciated that. Our server, Sarah, was absolutely fabulous. She was super attentive, fun, efficient and made our experience extraordinary. The cheesecake was sublime. Can't wait to return!
Lynne F — Google review
Easily customizing your order each time is great, especially for picky eaters. I'm the type of person who orders the same thing when I go places, so it took a couple of tries to find the best combination of ingredients and sauces; but now I have "my favorite order". The rangoon are terrible: they were dripping oil when lifted off the plate, the flavor was very bland, and the dipping sauce was funky. My husband agreed everything about them was bad
Sabrina D — Google review
Denies valid ID for alcohol just because it’s vertical orientation rather than horizontal. Don’t try and order beer even if you’re well over 21 and have a valid ID unless you have a horizontal license. Other than that, food was good as usual, they just deny paying customers what they order on zero legal basis.

Nakashima of Japan is a creative and modern chain eatery that offers innovative sushi rolls and traditional hibachi grill dishes. The skilled hibachi chef, Nate, delivers excellent culinary skills combined with delightful entertainment. With a great sense of humor, he ensures an enjoyable dining experience. Customers should be cautious to cover their drinks as shrimp tails may unexpectedly fly through the air. The menu features various delectable options such as rib eye, shrimp, scallops, and fillet mignon.
The food and the atmosphere were great. They were very busy, but they got us in quickly. we didn't have too long of a weight. It was like dinner and a show. The chef prepares your food in front of you and entertains you with conversation and tricks. Dinner for 2 will run you about $100.

Good experience with my son and his cousins. Service was good. The chef did a good job trying to engage the boys. They enjoyed it and ate all their food, except the vegetables of course.

I've heard good things about the hibachi, but we had sushi and the beef tataki when we went and it was very good. Seating and atmosphere were great, service was great, and the sushi was authentic. A bit pricey for what you get, but still very good!
Zayn C — Google review
The food is good, the rest of the experience however is to be desired. The wait was 55 minutes which is pretty excessive, other people seated with us only had to wait 35 minutes which is annoying. Anyway once we were seated our entire table waited for the waiter for about 30 minutes seriously someone must of messed up cause finally the hostess realized we weren't being helped and got us drinks herself. Very unorganized I dont know what happened the people seated next to us were visibly upset. The food was good but the chef was not smiling was not nice. I did not feel he put on much of a show at all. That's what we come here for and wait for is the experience. Oh well, I wouldn't wait 55 minutes again that's for sure. If you want to do a job as a hibachi chef maybe smile learn to make eye contact when your talking and handing out the food just thoughts. Also I seen so many kids which i was surprised about i expected more of like an adult restaurant but just something I observed. They were running all over and playing while fire is going.
Brittany M — Google review
The food was good like usual and our chef Miguel was great but the reason for the 3 star service is for the server. She was nice but kept bumping into everything. She'd slam down a glass and it would clink into another glass and spill a little etc. Slamming things carelessly onto the table happened the entire duration of our meal. I understand it's extremely busy but our whole table noticed.
Eri R — Google review
Amazing hibachi grill. A meal and a show. Worth the price and the meal is tasty too. I love the seafood but all dishes are great, with a sushi appetizer. Nice bar as well while waiting for your table. Worth the wait. 5 stars.

Okay, this might have been the best sushi I have ever had. I came to visit from out of state, and this was conveniently located right down the road from my hotel. I went to the sushi bar area and the atmosphere was so cool and relaxed. The server was wonderful. Best cocktail I have ever had. It was so good, I brought more people back two days later. I think this will be a new EAA Oshkosh staple when I come every summer.

Japanese restaurant
Far East Korean & Japanese Cuisine is a modest, well-established establishment that serves specialty sushi as well as other dishes from Japan and Korea. It has been a go-to restaurant in the valley since 2015. The food is exceptional, with servers who work tirelessly to provide excellent service. The unique atmosphere of the place sets it apart from other restaurants in Appleton.
Far East Korean & Japanese Cuisine exceeded our expectations in every way. The parking lot adjacent to the building provided ample space, making it convenient for us to access the restaurant. As soon as we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by Cody or Ted, both of whom served as excellent hosts throughout our visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience. The food itself was a true highlight, with every dish prepared to perfection. We highly recommend trying the Chicken and Tenderloin Bulgogi Appetizers, Tuna Tar Tar, Grilled Salmon, Scorpion Roll, Sake (Salmon), and the delightful Ginger Sauce. It's difficult to find anything we didn't enjoy during our meal. Far East Korean & Japanese Cuisine has undoubtedly secured its place at the top of our go-to list for sushi and more!

This is my favorite sushi place. I have been going here for years. Unassuming in appearance, it is a hidden Mecca for great food. I love the soft shell crab and the Scorpion Roll. The owner is very nice and always smiling. It is a very quiet, laid back environment. I have never had any disappointments in eating here, the food always hits the spot!
Sarah E — Google review
Cozy unique spot, funky old house turned into a restaurant. Perfect for date night. Service and food was excellent. We got sweet potato noodles, chicken bulgolgi (first time having this dish, it was excellent, moist and flavorful), salmon hand roll and scorpion roll (both large and delicious) The only things I didn't really care for was the green tea was generic and wasabi was more horseradish than any I've had before. Otherwise, we were very pleased.
Katie H — Google review
First, I have lived in the area for 27 years and never stepped foot in this spot I now consider Appleton's biggest secret. I have been missing out! We walked in on a Wednesday evening and were seated right away. The gentleman working behind the bar was also our server. In fact, I never saw another staff member but we never felt we were not receiving the attention one expects in a restaurant. The dining area is small. The bar is adequate for perhaps a dozen people?? And the menu selection was good. I ordered the Chicken Bul Go-Gi Bento Box Dinner. I enjoyed everything immensely except perhaps the chicken. The flavor was fine but the chicken was too dry. I did not reduce my rating one star as I typically do if everything is not excellent because everything else WAS fantastic. I'm not sure what I will order when I go back but I will go back. Our party of four spent about $100 mostly due to the amount of sushi we ordered. Update: A return visit July 3 does not change much from above yet it confirms the service is still excellent. We ordered sushi and while I am not true connoisseur, as I have only recently started eating sushi as I am not a fan of many types of fish, the sushi seemed pretty good. The rolls did have a tendency to stick to the serving plate and made it a bit difficult to remove using chop sticks but they still tasted pretty good.
Tokyo T — Google review
Great service and decent sushi rolls. The waiter was very prompt and knowledgeable he recommended making the big shrimp tempura roll spicy which was a great call. It ended up being one of our favorite rolls. The big philly and the rainbow roll were also very good. The spider roll was a bit dry but still good. We will be back for the service and to continue to explore their menu both sushi and otherwise.

The yaki soba had a great flavor at 6 level spice! The place is a little run down but somehow it feels comfy and relaxing. Loved our meal of bulgogi bento box last visit too.

Love love love this restaurant!! Every time we’re in the Fox Valley we like going to this low key restaurant. Sushi is great and the Bento boxes have such a great mix. It’s a simple little restaurant that brings joy.

I got confused between teriyaki and tempura which was no fault of there my previous meal much better as I have to keep away from a lot of deep fried which tempura is. On the other hand my wife enjoyed her bento box quite a bit. And portions were nice for the price.

Deli
Mai's Deli is a cozy cafe that offers a variety of Southeast Asian dishes such as Pad Thai and pho for both dine-in and takeout. The interior is simple, clean, and well-lit, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and patient, willing to explain the menu to customers. The Thai Iced Tea is described as perfectly sweetened and refreshing, while the Spring Rolls are praised for their crunchiness and freshness.
Very good food over at Mai's deli. My daughter didn't like the pad Thai, as it was too sour for her taste and one of the managers didn't hesitate to replace the dish with another that pleased her taste buds. She decided to get the drunken noodles with chicken. Everything was well made, and came out quick. This is not my first time here and won't be the last!
Huy L — Google review
Had a friend take me here. I loved the food we got it was tasty, comforting, and flavorful. Was not a fan of the tea. Could have been less sweet, but that is just me! Will be coming again!
Saphire V — Google review
We stopped here specifically for the stuffed wings a few years ago and every time we see a show at the PAC we eat here. Everything from udon noodles, curry, vermicelli salad, pho and so much more. We haven’t had a bad dish here. And the stuffed wings and egg rolls, YUM! It’s a very busy place with take out and dine in but everyone is friendly, and they clear tables off fairly quickly. We had a small wait, but good food is worth waiting for! Highly recommend!
Anna Z — Google review
Absolutely a hidden gem. Not only was the service friendly and warm, (as first timers we had some questions), but the food was delicious. They were able to do some substitutions and it was fresh, fast, and so yummy. The egg rolls were crispy and the chicken wing was grilled beautifully. The fried rice is always a must. I love the tomatoes and onions and veggies in it. Also the pho broth was hot and soul-filling. We will definitely be back!

Thai small age has an odd parking arrangement but be sure to find a space and enjoy some really good food. The interior is very clean and minimal. There is a large board with options to order from. Noodle dishes, curries, soups and more. I had the stuffed wings, pork egg roll, and the Pho. My partner had the pad se ew. The pho to me was a little one dimensional. I always taste the broth before any additional and the aromatics weren't there from the steam. The pad se ew was Thai styled but still had a wider noodle, and was saucier than Thai style would be. The mains weren't the stars the aps were. What are hands down the best hmong egg rolls in the area, and the stuffed wings were to die for. I will make the trip back I'd only for those again and again. Super polite staff, and quick service made this an excellent lunch.

I was in town visiting and had lunch here with a friend. I had never tried curry before, and he suggested I try the panang curry. It was a nice combo of sweet, savory, and spicy. The stuffed chicken wing was something I hadn't experienced before, and it was delicious! I'll definitely consider stopping in again the next time I'm in the area. Good stuff!

Just ordered lunch to go. I've notice alot of their food especially noodle dishes has less flavors now. Maybe there's new cookers? Noodles were dry and tasteless. Disappointed

The food? Great. Trying to get through via phone? Impossible. It’s like trying to call your favorite local radio station in 1997 hoping to be the lucky caller to get through. It’s kind of insane. If you’re able to get through to place an order, congratulations. You won. Until next time.

Japanese steakhouse
Sushi restaurant
The Japanese steakhouse Osaka hibachi & Sushi Appleton is a lively establishment that offers a vibrant setting, serving sushi, sashimi, and made-to-order Japanese cuisine. With an outdoor seating area and a bar, it provides a pleasant atmosphere for dining. The food and service are of high quality, offering an authentic experience with the main focus on sushi dishes along with various side items. However, there was one drawback mentioned as they did not have a specific item requested by a customer.
We had dinner and it was great. Food priced perfect. Drinks are great. Dessert was awesome! We had Roben as our waitress and she was excellent! Very attentive and always smiling! Great personality.. really made our experience better. We had egg rolls as an appetizer. (Came out perfect!) Sushi was great. General Tso's chicken was good (personally could have been cooked a few minutes more) Overall was a great place to eat and we will be back.
Marissa M — Google review
12/6/21, I know times are tough but what happened to the size portions? I got 2 of the special rolls ($15&$12) and it barely covered a small tray. The miso soup container continues to shrink in height too, use to be a full size styrofoam container. I remember this place would fill the tray container full when you order the special rolls. Talk about inflation and/or over priced for the little amount of food. For comparison, this small tray is the same size as a 6-8 piece tray from Festival/Woodman's ($8-10). Very disappointing.
C L — Google review
Nice atmosphere, food and service is good. Menu consists mainly of sushi and other side items, so that is fairly authentic of a Japanese restaurant. Did not have what I was looking for so that's the minus one star.
Michael M — Google review
Two stars for the food being decent and the good waitress doing what she could. The missing stars are because the chef didn't put on any show. That's kinda the point of hibachi, especially for that price. He just kinda, cooked, like you would in your own kitchen. No onion volcanoes, flipped shrimp, extra fire, nothing. The sushi was average, smaller than most rolls, nothing great for the price. Having a mandatory 10% tip automatically added to your bill would have been fine, especially because you can always add more if the service was good. Adding 18% automatically is too much, especially when (other than the waitress) the service was bare minimum and the prices are already high. The lobster tails were also the smallest I've ever seen, so definitely not worth it. Overall, I kind of regret coming here, and I won't be coming again. Maybe it was just the time of year, but I kind of doubt it. For how much I paid, I don't want to take the risk of finding out. Also, if you pay on two different cards or card and cash, they do the mandatory tip twice, so about 30%+
Scarlet A — Google review
We used to go here often, at least once a month, the food was amazing. Maybe things have changed, but we had so many bad experiences with the service, we haven't been back in a few years. Once, while it was fairly slow. We had a table with like 8 people. After over an hour of waiting at the hibachi table, with other tables being served who arrived after us, we asked what was going on? Apparently they forgot about us. With a party of around 20 or 25, one of the children was sitting with the other kids, but decided she wanted to sit on her mother's lap and moved. That messed up his order of food placement. Rather then be a civilized person and ask her nicely to move back, he yelled at both the mother and the child. We had a few other bad experiences that made us decide to go elsewhere. It's a shame.
William B — Google review
NEVER RETURNING! If I could give negative stars I would. My son and I went to celebrate a birthday dinner. We were the first to be sat at a hibachi table. we weren't given the towels to wash hands when we were seated. We ordered out drinks and an appetizer. The other people were seated at the table. We then placed our dinner order. After waiting about 40 minutes our chef finally came out. We never received our appetizer and were never offered refills on our drinks. We ordered fried rice with our meal and it wasn't made for us, we had to for it mid meal. We didn't get the ice cream dessert or after dinner tea. Several of us asked for boxes that were never given to us, I went to get them for our table. The ladies room was disgustingly dirty, a broken toilet, and a busted soap dispenser. The men's room was equally dirt and had a sink that didn't even have handles to turn the water on. Service was ridiculously slow, ended up spending 2.5 hours there for dinner and didn't get anything other than a main dish. They didn't even try to make things right even after saying something. They just said its because we are short staffed. Well then don't seat people if you can't offer the appropriate service that we are paying for! We will definitely NOT be returning to Osaka's again, which is sad since it used to be my favorite hibachi restaurant.
Carrie S — Google review
The food was decent enough, but barely worth the cost. The service was so horrible. One lady was polite and greeted us, but our server was just awful. She was unpleasant and quick mannered. I asked her what the Sashimi appetizer consisted of and she said "Whatever the chef puts on it" I ordered a glass of wine and she never brought it. I eventually had to walk over to where all the waitresses were sitting at a booth and ask for it again. We will never go back again. So disappointing.
Emilee C — Google review
Went for my birthday. Sushi for lunch. Service was slow or non-existent. Food came out cold and tasteless. Salad was sad, brown iceberg lettuce, drowning in their dressing. Waitress was slow and nowhere to be found more than 1/2 the time. Top it off, an 18% gratuity was added that we had to request to be taken off. I don't know how hibachi portion is, but don't go if you want good and flavorful sushi or if you need to be anywhere in less than 1.5 hours. Not an exaggeration btw.

Dong Po Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that brings the essence of sit-down Asian dining back to life. With an extensive menu featuring Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean dishes, it’s a haven for those craving flavorful meals. While some diners have found certain dishes lacking in spice or flavor compared to their expectations, many rave about the generous portions and delicious offerings like chicken pad Thai and honey chicken.
Ok, so I've been to DC , MS, and have since been looking for a seafood boil in this area at all, much less a good one! And these guys nailed it!! Ty and welcome the best. Build your own seafood boil to the Appleton area!

02/12/25 - So odd, you can't order fried rice as a side, only as a full meal. The Hot and Sour soup was really good. Crab Rangoons were small but ok. General Tso was good, but not super flavorful. They also use breast meat, which should be thigh meat. The Pad Thai was decent, but missing the signature peanut/spice flavor. The service was excellent throughout the meal!
Darkwing ( — Google review
Their prices are nice and low, it matches the quality of food. They have a large dining room but cram everyone together in one area. It felt like you were at the same table as other patrons. The server was nice but the customer service was lacking. The cold sushi roll I ordered was very warm and so were the sauces. I feel like if I would have eaten more of the roll, I would have ended up really sick. I left it barely touched. The rest of the food was mediocre, but they have good egg rolls.

What a great place. My spouse and I lamented recently how the sit down Chinese is a thing of the past and we found this. The staff is amazing and recalls the past of Asiatic American sitt down places. There are several Asian options on the menu. Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Korean. Stick with Chinese because it's great there but the other flavours are lacking. Overall a great place and if you are here it's shoulders above some other local spots.

I ordered chicken pad Thai, also pictured is honey chicken and sesame chicken. They all came with choice of soup, and all were under $15. Portions were so generous, we all took food home, enough for an another meal. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Check out their menu, they have a huge variety of food!

Love the Pho. Ive had Asian cuisine from NYC to LA and Dong Pho has the freshest tasting fried veggies anywhere. Their hot mustard is the best ever. I recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The sauce has just the right amount of Honey.

My host Sienna was very smelly but kind and had very beautiful smile. I found my greeting once I entered through the doors to be acceptable. Upon entry, one is struck by the juxtaposition of understated decor and meticulous attention to spatial harmony. The design is elegant without being austere—earth tones, carved wood panels, delicate silk screens—subtle cues that you are about to dine in a space shaped by reverence for heritage. The lighting is soft and inviting, with an ambient warmth that encourages lingering conversation and mindful eating. The staff are paragons of professionalism: attentive but never intrusive, informed without pretension. They speak with pride about the dishes, offering thoughtful recommendations grounded in both tradition and the chef's seasonal innovations. Let me be clear: the food here is extraordinary. It is a rare alchemy of precision, heart, and deeply rooted cultural technique. It is no exaggeration to say that Dong Po Restaurant is among the finest Chinese restaurants I have ever reviewed—not just in Wisconsin, but in North America. It is the rare establishment that reveres tradition while speaking in a modern culinary voice. Each dish tells a story. Each plate is an offering. Whether you are a seasoned gastronome or a curious diner, a pilgrimage to Dong Po is not just recommended—it is required. Five stars. A triumph.

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Thai dining experience, look no further than Taste of Thai in Downtown Appleton. This charming restaurant is a beloved staple known for its vibrant atmosphere and delectable menu featuring high-quality dishes. Guests rave about the red curries, which are a standout favorite among regulars. The owners are dedicated and hardworking, ensuring that every meal is fresh and flavorful while navigating staffing challenges common in today's restaurant scene.
Delicious! A great place to go for a vegan meal. The staff is super knowledgeable about their dishes and can recommend many options. They are always friendly. Try the ginger pasta or the pad cashew. Really, everything is delicious and you can't make a bad choice.

Nice restaurant. Great atmosphere, welcoming. Clean and spacious. Limited street parking, some back parking. Friendly staff. Helpful and attentive. Food was descent. Not how I remembered it but not too bad. Taste, look, and feel of some dish has changed a little. Obviously its things we should expect with new management. Price has gone up but it was expected due to inflation during the pandemic. Good experience for my party. They didn’t have what I wanted and I came a long way. It was difficult paying the bill 🥹.

We came in for dinner and it wasn’t busy for a Friday night. The staff were friendly and attentive. I was extremely pleased with my curry dish. It was delicious with right amount of heat and the mix drinks were amazing. I will be returning for more during my next visit.

Excellent place for Thai food!! The curry dishes are delicious! The owners are kind and hardworking. If you experience a slight wait, please be patient and understanding. Times are tough as there is a shortage of staff, which isn't improving any time soon with many restaurants. Many staff are seen performing multiple duties trying to fill in where needed. Prices of food items are getting ridiculously high as well, so understand that owners need to adjust their prices accordingly as well. I know they are doing their best to accommodate all the guests. The food will be worth it. Don't be so quick to write off a family-owned business as bad or slow or expensive because everyone is doing their best to keep up with the demands with such limitations. We all need to keep our lights on, and so do they. As a community, we need to understand and support small businesses such as this one to keep everyone open and in business during these hard times.

I love this place. I have bee to Appleton at least 15 times in the last several years and every time I have found my way to Taste of Thai. The food is always fresh, flavorful, delicious, and just spicy enough to enjoy without it being hot just for the sake of being hot. The service has always been fast and accurate, and the staff have always been pleasant and helpful. I will admit I never had Thai food before they opened, but I have had it a number of times since. Taste of Thai is the place I use to judge all others and for good reason.

A good spot to bring your loved one or friends out for dinner or hibachi. The food is good! Service is good but you’ll be in the bar area for a while if you’re waiting for drinks. I would recommend to have an appointment set and expect to spend 1-2 hours here.

Wow. I've been to TJ's before, but the changes they've made recently have made all the difference. It was always good, but now it's just amazing. We started with a sushi appetizer that really hit the spot. My husband had the chicken hibachi dinner while I took recommendations from the server on two rolls. Everything was delicious! And the chef did great making substitutions for my allergies to make it all worry-free. Highly recommend the sake bay breeze to drink. I would have thought it would have been too sweet (and I like sweet) but the sake balances it all out perfectly! Get down to TJs--like I said, it's always been good but wow! Since they reopened their hibachi service recently it's just fantastic. Great job all!!!

Fellow food fanatics, adventurers, and lovers of life, lend me your ears—or better yet, your appetites! I’ve scoured the highways and byways of most of the United States and ventured into the vibrant street markets of Thailand, chasing flavors that ignite the soul. But nothing—nothing—prepared me for the sheer exhilaration of TJ Sushi and Steakhouse in Wisconsin, where the hibachi grill is wielded by a culinary rockstar named Hapi. Buckle up, because this isn’t just dinner—it’s a front-row seat to a flavor-packed spectacle! Hapi doesn’t just cook; he performs with the flair of a circus ringmaster and the precision of a sushi samurai. The moment those flames leap skyward, you’re hooked—knives spinning, flames roaring, and shrimp tails flipping through the air like tiny acrobats. His grin is contagious, his energy boundless, and his personality? A supernova of charm that could brighten even the gloomiest Wisconsin winter day. I’ve savored hibachi from coast to coast and grilled delights in Thailand’s bustling night markets, but Hapi’s showmanship is in a league of its own. When I asked to capture his magic on video, he beamed that million-dollar smile and said, “Of course!”—though let me tell you, no screen can fully convey the electric vibe of being there live. Then there’s the food—oh, the food! Hapi’s creations are a love letter to your taste buds: steaks seared to juicy perfection, seafood so fresh it practically winks at you, and veggies that pop with flavor like a fireworks finale. It’s a feast that could unite foodies from Milwaukee to Bangkok in a chorus of “Wow!” Whether you’re gathered around the hibachi grill, mesmerized by Hapi’s antics, or kicking back at a table with your takeout, every bite is a masterpiece. The vibe at TJ Sushi and Steakhouse is pure joy—an irresistible mix of Hapi’s laughter, the sizzle of the grill, and a staff so friendly you’ll feel like you’ve been adopted into the family. The service? Flawless. The atmosphere? Unbeatable. This is the spot for every occasion—birthdays, anniversaries, or just a random night when you crave something extraordinary. I’ve seen the ripple effect of my first visit: word’s spreading fast, and folks are flocking to this Wisconsin treasure in droves. And why not? It’s a culinary carnival starring Hapi, the hibachi hero who’s turning TJ’s into a destination. So, whether you’re a local or a traveler passing through, heed my call: rally your crew, bring your hunger, and dive into the magic of TJ Sushi and Steakhouse. Hapi and his team will leave you grinning, stuffed, and plotting your next visit. This isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory, a masterpiece, a must. Five stars? Please—this place deserves a constellation!

Ordered their chicken pad Thai through door dash and I had a chuck of Saran Wrap in my food that I almost choked on while eating. I won’t order/eat from here again. Food didn’t even taste fresh.

Walking in it looks run down with half the toy machines out of order and lights off and some even still wrapped in packaging. The first interaction was poor with the gentleman barely looking up from his phone to greet me. Overall atmosphere looks dark and dismal. At first glance the building looks very appealing but after visiting I can firmly say there are plenty of other options to go elsewhere. Not to mention most of the menu seems to have white out to show they either changed their prices or simply don’t have the item anymore.

I loved everything about this place! My rolls were unbelievably good (and for a price you couldn’t even make them for at home). The server was professional and attentive. Updating this morning... When we first arrived there was no one to seat us so we stood around for several minutes And even the cook was looking at us. We finally seated ourselves when the waiter did show up he told us to move with no apology. He was very direct and matter of fact. We complied with understanding... I ordered the mango chicken and out of three out of five for spiciness. I ordered a three. It was definitely a five. The waiter did not have much charisma at all. He was very direct and rude to us while we ordered. He was definitely in a very foul mood and did not set the tone right we struggled to not take it personally. After serving us he didn't even come back and ask us how was the food either... How can this restaurant have staff like this? I cannot recommend this place... part of the experience of going out is having a good server who cares for you this is not the place. I honestly believe he made my meal more spicy than it should have. We did however have an appetizer which was fantastic. It was a chicken satay! Other than that there are other Asian restaurants here in the area that I will go to in the future. Definitely not here... totally unacceptable. I started writing this review in front of the server when he gave me the check he knew what I was writing and I did not leave him a tip. If the owner of this restaurant responds to this review we may come back if they do not respond you can rest assured they care not for their customers. My mango chicken was so hot that my nose is still runny... Just awful.

Nestled in a bustling shopping strip, Eggrolls Inc. is a delightful counter-serve eatery that specializes in an impressive selection of baked egg rolls. This charming spot offers a guilt-free dining experience with its flavorful dishes, including the must-try curry soup that warms you up on chilly Wisconsin days. Packed with shredded chicken and served over zucchini noodles, it’s garnished with fresh cabbage and cilantro for an extra zing. Visitors rave about the gluten-free options available at Eggrolls Inc.
This is our second time here, unfortunately we are three hours away. So this was a road trip on a nice fall day today. I have to add that on our first trip I had the combo curry soup. It was delicious, my husband had an eggroll. We also took a few home and they were delicious then. This trip today, we did the same. The combo curry soup was still delicious as were the variety of eggrolls we took home. If we lived closer this would be my weekly spot but, I'll settle for our road trip when we get the chance to get out. I have to also give a shout out to the young man at the counter today.(I'm sorry I didn't get his name) He was so nice and super polite. Wish everyone and every place could be like this. The restaurant was nice and clean. The music was nice and not blarring. It actually was nice that my husband and I could enjoy our late lunch. We will definitely be going back and can't wait! My five starts to them, thank you!

Egg rolls Inc - my meal was disappointing. Bland and tasteless. I tried the Eggrolls Inc near Walmart and ordered One spicy chicken roll and one Chicken jerk roll. The rolls had no chicken, just noodles and cabbage. Infact my friend and I were confused that did we get vegetarian by mistake. But no that was not the case. The filling was huge but no spice, no taste even when the name specified Spicy. Even the sauce was not able to elevate the taste. However service was good & received the order quickly.

Absolutely delicious!! Packed with flavor and It's Baked not fried. With Great options from which to choose! The guiltless curry soup will warm you on the inside, a must try on a cold day in Wisconsin- you'll find yummy shredded chicken at the bottom and it is served over zucchini noodles garnished with shredded cabbage and cilantro if you like .I brought my adult kids here Who were visiting from out of state, and they were all impressed as well-- even ordered seconds. They are athletic and very picky about what they eat, and as a family we all try to eat clean. The people are friendly and the place is clean and the food is fresh. It's Sure to not disappoint. I've edited my original review because I continue to return when I'm out and about and need something healthy on the go -my kids look forward to it also when they visit. So hold the fast food !!don't ruin that nutrition plan you've established with your workout all year long. Since it is served to you buffet style in-line with a safety glass partition you can quickly make your selections. ... and you can get some to go...it's faster than faster food! enjoy!!

Omg SOOO good! They’re baked, not fried, so they don’t feel gross, greasy, or heavy in your stomach.

I appreciate that the egg rolls are not greasy like 99% of other places. They don't put much protein in their rolls which is a downside. I found a couple sauces I like but I think they could up their game. I'll give it another try one day but won't go out of my way.

The gluten-free rolls were awesome. We got six for about 20 bucks- not bad. They stay hot for a really long time- even after you take them out of the tin foil. I really enjoyed the taste and texture. The Celiac in my group did not get sick. The only thing that could have made it better would be gluten-free soy sauce- or coconut aminos. They had one gluten-free dipping sauce but it was a bit spicy. Owner came to chat with us while we ate. Nice guy. Would definitely come back.

The food was a reasonable price. Everything tasted great. The service of the food arrived promptly. They were very accommodating for a large group. But what won me over was the the staff. Very polite, attentive, and a good sense of humor. I plan on returning soon.

Went for lunch with one of my girlfriends and the sushi was amazing and the service was fast. The waitress was very helpful, prompt and checked in just enough to be prompt with our waters without it being too much. Highly recommend!

Fantastic find! Sushi was fresh and taste was well balanced. I took my 10 year old and he loved it too. They had a great menu with Japanese and Chinese fares. Our favorite was hands down sushi and dessert!

The food is good, but the service was sub-par. No, I get that they had a couple larger groups, but the restaurant wasn't full. The waiter was just forgetful--we asked for sauce, never got it... eventually I just went to grab the bottle from a nearby empty table. My friend ordered a side of fried rice for with her dinner and they gave it to her after to go instead and then didn't want to take it off her bill (she didn't want to take it). I'll go back to try it again because the food was good but the service just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Its more on the expensive side but it is seafood and specialty foods. I ordered sushi and the display was beautiful. Very clean and the rice was well put together.

One of the best Asian restaurants in the area; a varied menu, delicious food, and good service all at a fair price. Additionally, Bamboo gets my vote for best sushi in Appleton.

I’ve been ordering several times each month since 2018, and I’ve never been disappointed. I am so sad to see this staple close. Thank you, Bamboo, for serving delicious, consistent food for so long! Bamboo has been my isolated comfort food, my date night meal, and the place to order from when having a night with friends. I’ve never had a negative experience. I wish the owners and employees the best of luck in whatever comes next. Thank you!!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience, look no further than My Lee's Egg Roll House. Nestled on Richmond Street in Appleton, this charming spot specializes in Hmong-style egg rolls that are simply irresistible. Each roll is crafted with care and bursting with flavor, making them perfect for a quick bite or to take along for a scenic picnic at nearby parks like Vulcan Heritage or Lutz Park.
Hands down the best Egg Rolls in Appleton. Ordered chicken egg rolls and was told to wait 5 minutes. And the wait was absolutely worth it. Piping hot egg rolls with a sauce were ready. The rolls are big in size and the filling was delicious. As I had gone in the evening they were unfortunately out of the Spring rolls. I am hopeful to get there earlier next time as thats on my mind now. Perfect location and wonderful people. A definite visit to satiate your craving for Egg rolls. They also have fried rice and crab rangoon on the menu.

My Lee has the most amazing egg rolls I’ve ever had. From way back in the day, when she did the Neenah Farmers Market, we went every Saturday just to get these egg rolls.

Words can’t explain how good their food is. I got there 15 minutes after opening and business was already booming. Even though they were slightly busy I still got my order in 10 minutes. Prices are extremely reasonable. I could not be more happy with how good the food was. Not to mention customer service was amazing. This is truly a mom and pop shop and it’s wonderful. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to try this place out. This is a 2 hour drive away from my home and I’ll make it every time if it means I get their food!! Also reheated the next day in the air fryer 400 degrees for 5 minutes and they still tasted as fresh as the day before. 10/10

I ordered chicken fried rice with 2 egg rolls and a dozen egg rolls (6 pork 6 chicken). I love My Lee's egg rolls. My one and only place too go. My absolute favorite. Growing up my grandma had a good friend (I knew my whole life)that was from Laos and she made the best eggrolls but it's a lot of work to make big batches so they came far and few. She told me she would make me eggrolls when I got married. Haha. I was determined to find something close to hers so I could enjoy more often since she hardly made big batches anymore and lived in Oshkosh. I stumbled on My Lee's at oktoberfest one year and fell in love. They were almost exactly like Twans (my grandma's friend). And she passed away recently so I can still enjoy My Lee's and think of her while Im eating them.

Mmm, egg rolls! The chicken egg rolls are #1 and vegetable eggs rolls #2. They are the best if you get both kinds! Reasonably priced for how good they are. Great, friendly customer service. They were out of those cute stuffed raspberry desert buns; I'll try again next time.

Asian Thai is a delightful eatery that specializes in a variety of beloved Chinese and Thai dishes, perfect for both dine-in and delivery. During my recent solo weekend, I decided to indulge in some comforting noodles while enjoying a cozy TV session. Although it was my first time at Asian Thai, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. Due to current health guidelines, dining in wasn't an option, so I opted for takeout.
We had a wonderful lunch yesterday at the Asian Thai restaurant! The food was exceptionally good, tasty and fresh. The service was superb, the price was very reasonable and the portions were so generous that we could take home enough leftovers to have one more meal. We also took home extra hot and sour soup because it was the best ever we had. We can’t have very spicy food although we would love to but they were willing and able to accommodate this with no problem. We even bought extra hot and sour soup because they made it sure for us that it was not spicy and it tasted absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is very clean and we are so happy to be able to find such a wonderful place to eat! Thank you, Klara Bahcall

As I was spending the weekend alone while my bride visited her sister, I felt like eating noodles in front of the TV. This was my first visit to Asian Thai although they are right next door to El Azteca, a place I have frequented more than I can count. Asian Thai did not disappoint. The dining room is closed due to Covid so the options are take out or delivery. I called in my order for take out and the order was ready within 15-20 minutes. My order consisted of a small Won Ton soup ($2.95), pan fried Dumplings (8 pieces for $7.25), and Lo Mein noodle with chicken ($9.95). Total cost with tax was $21.26. Upon arriving, the breeze way had a scented fragrance a bit stronger than I prefer but I complain of most strong fragrances. The waiting and dining area did not smell as strong but since there was no dining in, it really did not matter. My order was ready within minutes of arrival and I was quickly back home opening the bag. Seeing three (3) won tons in the small soup I ordered made me quite pleased. My last order at another restaurant revealed the same number in a very disappointing quart sized order. The flavor of the soup was similar to what I expected which was good. The pan fried dumplings with dipping sauce was quite good and I could not keep from eating all 8 pieces. Feeling a little full at this point, I proceeded to dive into the Lo Mein dish. The dish was nice and hot but I felt the need to add a bit of soy sauce as I do to most of my Asian dishes. After several bites, I covered the container and placed it in the refrigerator for a possible later night meal. Due to the location, price, menu choices and taste, I believe Asian Thai will be seeing more of my business. You should try it too.

Solid 3 for the great service. Chinese cooked Thai food. We were lucky and came in on a slow day so they were willing to open dining. Staffing has been an issue and I can empathize. Just get take out if you like to dine at home. We ordered several dishes and owner/manager (lovely Singapore woman) suggested that if you’re wanting more authentic Thai flavors ask for them to make the dishes with more sauce and if you like medium spice, ask for extra spice. In the end, the Thai dishes fell flat and lacked flavor. Skip the Thai menu and go for the Chinese menu. The dish that was yum was the salt and pepper fried shrimp. I’ll be back for this one.

Terrible in every way. Beef so tough it could not be chewed. Odd flavor in the sweet & sauce. Service was rude. Dinning room open if they feel like it. Said they are to busy to have the dinning room open all the time. I will never patronize this establishment again. Human 1 is far better in food and service.

We went here for some Chinese food cravings. The food was hot and fresh and far “fancier” than we expected. The portion size was reasonable for the cost. The management checked on us and the server was kind and attentive. Our food came quickly and tasted great. Our only negative was the sesame beef tasted a little burnt but still tasted good.

P.F. Chang's is a vibrant, family-friendly restaurant chain that offers an innovative twist on Asian cuisine in a beautifully designed space. Guests often rave about the attentive service, with servers like Sophya standing out for their extensive knowledge of the menu and commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is spacious and inviting, perfectly complementing the high-quality dishes served.
Sophya was a fantastic server, from her detailed knowledge of all the appetizers to the dessert, was the pleasant surprise addition to her great table manners. This OG from Chi-town loved the great old school service she so desperately misses. The restaurant fare is consistently good, the area clean and attentive staff. In this day and age, a welcomed surprise. Thanks Sophya, you were key in making an impromptu visit, memorable.

Stopped in for lunch as it had been years since we were in one. Everything was great except super sticky table.. sticky floors in the bathrooms which left you stick stick stick all the way back to the table. While we were waiting on our bill the new lady that just sat down behind us asked for a new table due to stickiness.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is really good. Lots of open space and definitely fits the theme of the food that they’re serving. The other places are serving the same type of food. The food here definitely was higher quality and I was overall very happy with everything that I got. I tried multiple appetizers and multiple drinks and two different entrées. Definitely not the cheapest place as my Bill was $100 with a decent tip. The waitress was amazing and it was a lot of fun for my first experience in the restaurant. Big kudos to her. Definitely will be going back with a little more moderation. The mixed drinks in my opinion are top notch and worth every penny. Be great to see him. Take the food just a little bit higher to the next level. It’s really knock it out of the park but overall, I was very happy. Jillian made the experience fun and her service was impeccable

Food tasted good but im certain the kids portion was inadvertently swapped with the adult orange chicken meal we purchased based on the amount of food and how it was plated. We ordered crispy honey chicken- good Orange chicken- came with 5 and a half pcs of chicken..... Kids meal sweet and sour chicken had a huge portion of chicken, with broccoli, rice and oranges. The way it was plated leads me to believe that this should have been the adult orange chicken. Service was slow and there was only 3 tables total. For the price and no resolution I dont know if its worth it.

I tried this place for the first time last week and I was highly impressed. The host greeted us right away and our server was prompt and kind. Our pork dumplings came out quickly. Our family has always been a fan of PF Chang’s. Today’s visit and to-go order was influenced by my daughter's special request who is at home recovering from an injury that required surgery. After what has been a rollercoaster of a week, it was uplifting to be greeted by the welcoming smile, customer focus and kind spirit of Chelsea. She offered a dessert for my daughter on the house. No doubt it will bring a sweet smile to her face. My experience here, dining in or taking out, never disappoints. Today’s experience with Chelsea continues to raise the bar. Thank you, Chelsea and thanks to the awesome team in the kitchen who made our delish family meal tonight!

Asian restaurant
Bowl Ninety-One is an Asian fusion establishment that offers a variety of ramen dishes and signature creations in a modern and casual setting with a lively atmosphere. The reviews rave about the exceptional quality of their ramen, with some customers declaring it as hands down the best they've ever had. The menu also includes delectable options like Fried Rice 91, Tom Yum Yummy, Spicy Miso Ramen, Happy Belly Buns, and Hmong Egg rolls.
Took a client to Bowl91 to celebrate her closing on her first home, and they did not disappoint! The food here is always so savory. I ordered the Bangkok flat noodles—absolutely delicious—but I have to say, their Pad Thai is hands down my all-time favorite. Oh, and their Thai Ice coffee never fails me. They’ve really stepped up their service, too. The staff was friendly, and our food came out within 20 minutes of ordering. The ambiance is peaceful and made for a really enjoyable dinner. My client and I had a great time, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Only downside is the limited street and metered parking. It took us about 15 minutes of driving around to find a spot. But once you’re inside, it’s totally worth it!

We stopped in for lunch. A little dingy feeling, but the service was excellent and the food was good. Best passion fruit mojito that I’ve ever had! The egg rolls were yummy, but a bit pricey for 2 of them. We all had ramen. The spicy miso was really good, but the regular ramen with the pork wasn’t that tasty. Too many textures for my taste (my opinion), but every one else loves it. They had the best fried rice, with a Smokey flavor that was exceptional! We shared 2 ramen bowls, the fried rice with 5 orders of egg rolls to the tune of $86.

Pretty decent ramen right in downtown Appleton. Crab Rangoons were just alright, not a huge fan of the triangle style fold, and it’s very cream cheese forward. Ramen was good, everything had good flavor, broth had that nice richness to it that you expect in a bowl of ramen. My egg was cold, wish they warmed it up more before sending it out, I had to let the other half warm up in the broth.
Tristan H — Google review
Delicious. First of all, I just don't dig on swine. Most ramen places use a primarily pork based broth but they have a solid selection of chicken and vegetarian options, and ALSO offered to sub the pork with chicken in the Tom Yum soup. The broth was great. Hmong egg rolls were crispy. Everything tasted fresh. The portion was enough for two meals which is a steal for the price.

A friend brought me here and the food was amazing just like he said it would be! I most definitely will be coming back! The Mango Green Tea and Mochi are scrumptious! I will have to try a Ramen next time! Did not take a pic of the appetizer which was the Bulgogi Kimchi Fries! They were fantastic!
Saphire V — Google review
Good change of pace from burgers and pizza. The crab Rangoon were big so a 3 pieces were enough for 2 people to split. The ramen was a big bowl but wasn't a heavy meal.
Kevin S — Google review
Beautiful location & atmosphere. Appetizers were delicious. We got edamame, bao buns & crab rangoon. We ordered the Ramen Stir Fry and asked for a medium spiciness level, idk if my tastebuds were broken or what but my mouth was on fire & we politely asked to send it back but she declined and said since we picked at it we couldn’t. (2 bites being picked at is a little crazy) Context: i’ve been in hospitality my whole life, the LAST thing I ever want to do is send something back but for an $18-$20 dish I would prefer to enjoy what I’m eating. We never got drink refills either. We kind of felt like a bother even just being there.
Matti J — Google review
First time here and I have to say it was delicious! The chicken broth in the kids ramen was seriously amazing. The Tom Yum was the perfect blend of spice with coconut and lime. Had a bit of a bite in the beginning mellowing towards the end for the perfect flavor. While I didn't get the thong kotsu it looked tasty. The black tonkotsu was really good I just wish they had put more mushrooms and bamboo in as there wasn't but maybe 3 tbs. Of each one. The noodles to broth ratio was just about perfect though and generous. I highly recommend the honey ginger tea it was beyond amazing! I will definitely be coming back as there were multiple menu items I would like to try. My only negative opinion (and this is a pet peeve of mine).... If the restaurant is dead please don't sit people right next to each other. I would like to have a conversation without someone right next to me especially when there are plenty of open spots to spread people out.

Panda Express is a popular fast-food chain that brings a taste of Chinese cuisine to the masses, offering a variety of dishes that cater to both traditional palates and health-conscious diners. Families often flock here, especially kids who love the classic combo of fried rice paired with orange chicken—one of their most beloved offerings. The appeal lies in being able to see your meal options right before you, ensuring transparency about what you're ordering.
My kids like to eat here. We usually get the fried rice with orange chicken in a bowl, that's the most popular combo they have there. I like that you can see the food right infront of you so you know exactly what your getting. It can get very busy during regular meal time and on weekends. We were there around 4:30 pm on a Friday and it wasn't too busy.

The staff were super unfriendly and rude. I was told to wait a couple minutes for fresh mixed veggies and ended up waiting a lot longer and the veggies weren’t even fully cooked. The employee beforehand tried to put old disgusting looking veggies in my bowl, and when I received it, the old gross ones were in there and the orange chicken tasted gross and old. Overall a horrible experience and will probably never return.
Aurora M — Google review
The girl who checked me out was friendly and everything was super clean, but the food was awful. With the exception of the orange chicken, firecracker beef and shrimp, noodles, and the fortune cookie. The rice was hard and tasted off, the honey walnut shrimp still had the weird shelly thing on it (while being breaded so I couldn’t tell until I bit into it) and tasted rancid and the crab Rangoon's were rock hard. The rest of my food was good but the rice, honey shrimp and the crab Rangoon's was not very good. Panda has really gone downhill over the years.

Working at the mall, I frequent panda a lot, usually around 2 to 3 times a week. don’t get me wrong. I love their food, but the customer service is downright horrible. I have been lied to about wait times, ignored, and downright treated horrible. Working in sales myself I know how important it is to have good customer service and treat how to your customers well, and this Panda Express simply does not. Some workers are super friendly and even give me a discount for working at the mall but the two worst ones are Belen and the manager. The experiences I have had with these two are downright awful and I hope they get their stuff straight.

The person fixing the plates was really skimmed on my food. I watched her fix healthy plates to a few people ahead of me and when I ordered I got less then half. I asked her about it and she didn't have a response. I feel I was being singled out because I'm black. I didn't like her attitude and will take my business elsewhere.

Most of our food was delish. Our vegetables and fried rice were extremely dry (almost brittle) though. 😕
Rebecca K — Google review
It says delivery but they don’t deliver because after placing the order it wanted me to pick up. I called to see if they would deliver since I work in the mall otherwise if they couldn’t not a big deal. I would have just canceled or picked up later when I actually went on break. They said they would which I appreciate. Which I was totally okay with. I know not to believe their site for that mall. Don’t like that you delivered the food and repeatedly told me. Like thanks… already know because you told me on the phone. $32 for family meal definitely is not worth the money.

I ordered online for 3 bowls and it said it would be ready at 4. We went in and waited in line to let them know we had made that online order. We waited by the register for 30 minutes for the order while they made all the other customers food. I had to go back in line and ask for the food again and only got 2 of the 3 bowls. The manager was not helping at all and it looked like the person working the line was fairly new and needed help. I didn’t even get everything I ordered but after waiting 45 minutes I didn’t even care I wanted to make sure my family ate. Hope you guys get better or just get rid of online order for this location.

Min Du Buffet is a charming Chinese restaurant that has captured the hearts of many with its delightful offerings and warm atmosphere. While it may not boast an extensive menu, the selection available is both satisfying and flavorful. Diners can indulge in a variety of hot dishes, including scrumptious dumplings and dim sum, as well as favorites like peanut butter chicken and kung pao chicken. The crab legs are particularly noteworthy for their freshness.
The smallest buffet I have ever been to - Min du Buffet. A small selection of items offered but delicious taste. Especially loved the dumplings/dim sum as you can see from my plate. They have peanut butter chiken and kung pao chicken which were tasty too. I also enjoyed the smooth tasting crab legs, very fresh. The restaurant was almost full on a Sunday afternoon but the owners ensured that dishes were promptly filled. Speaking of the owners, how joyful they are, the lady with her high five 🙌. I just wish the desert area would have more variety- It had fruits and a cookie. However, for $25 for 2 people, this buffet is a steal with great food in Appleton

As a vegetarian, I am able to get a full, delicious plate of food with multiple options. This is the only place I would call my regular spot to eat; I love the atmosphere! The food is great, always very tasty! The service is always amazing! My favorite spot to come for lunch! Very affordable, you can get multiple options for what you would normally spend on one main dish. I love their variety :) They also have some sushi included in the buffet; one of the sushi pieces offered is vegetable based.

This is your classic Chinese buffet, a small one, but the quality of food is great. The couple that owns this restaurant takes pride in their business and it shows. The husband takes care of the front, while the wife handles the back. Drinks are always filled, food is always fresh and hot. The biggest hit here is absolutely the peanut chicken, it’s what keeps me coming back. But everything else is right up there in taste too. The wife is a very nice lady, she frequently chats with guests and makes it a welcoming experience.

5 stars across the board. Delicious and highly affordable. Very friendly when walking in. I ordered sweet and sour chicken combination plate and added a large egg drop soup. Having duck sauce after living in several states where most places didn't have it was awesome too. I will be getting food from here at least once a week.

Came here for the first time based on Google reviews and this place does not disappoint! It's a small buffet but still almost 30 different dishes, about 10 different sushi rolls and everything I tasted was delicious! Will happily come here again and again! The peanut butter chicken was mentioned in several reviews and now I get why - it’s fabulous!

Stopped in on a time crunch. I don’t live over here so it was random. Small buffet but very fresh and delicious selections. Dim sum. Sushi. Your basic American Chinese dishes. All well done. Not the best, but better than anything you’d get at a grocery store or take out place. This is the best take out quality Chinese I’ve had in Appleton. Dong po is better overall but significantly more expensive. Clean, appears to be family run, very attentive and fresh. I was so impressed I had to hop on and write a review while I’m here. Inflation has made eating out feel like a cash grab but this is the first time I’ve felt I got a great value and great food in a while!

Hunan 1 is a delightful culinary gem that offers a diverse selection of classic Chinese dishes, perfect for dining in, takeout, or delivery. Many first-time visitors rave about the generous portions and flavorful offerings, such as their impressive crab rangoons and delicious pork egg rolls. The General Tso's chicken has garnered praise as one of the best around, making it a must-try for anyone craving authentic flavors.
One of my favorite places for a fantastic dinner to go. Amazing flavors and impressively high quality… consider ordering a wide variety of options for the family and bring everyone together for a great evening “in”

Ordered a small pepper steak and got 2.5oz of beef and 6.5oz of onions. I have ordered this before and it has never been just all onions. I called to ask about it and was told that's what it is, if you want more beef you have to pay for more. I have been coming here for years but this is the last time, with the poor customer service and the decreasing food quality.

Normally Hunan 1 is pretty good but the last few times it seems to be going down in quality. Today our order was the worst yet. My general tso was inedible, tasted like it was 3 days old and over cooked. Steamed dumplings seemed to just taste off. Even the basic white rice tasted like it had vinegar in it, soy sauce couldn't help.

I love this place so much! Please see the images in my review, just a few tips for people buying: If you're looking for the pork pieces that come with the pork fried rice by themselves, order the pork spare ribs! Portions are great! I'll add more as I order more!

Would NOT recommend. Literally called me after I placed the order and asked for a tip. She said, "Did you see the tip option?" I said, "I saw it." She said, "How much you want to tip?" I said, "Nothing. I paid for free delivery after reaching a certain amount." At the end she said she didnt have a driver after I didnt want to tip. What a shitty company. Tip is not mandatory, if you want more money for delivery then you need to add a delivery fee. What a bullshit company. 😆

Moved away haven't been here in 20 years. General Tsos is the best I've ever had. They used to give you pork fried rice, broccoli, and an egg roll in the lunch combo. But now just fried rice and General Tsos for 4.99 is really good.

Not impressed. Food was cold and tasted like it sat for a while before it arrived. Bbq ribs and bbq chicken had a weird, bright red sauce on them rather than bbq, and it tasted like cherry cough syrup.

Emperor's Buffet and Grill is a delightful culinary destination that promises an enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're opting for takeout or dining in, the food is consistently delicious and generously portioned, often enough to satisfy multiple meals. The buffet features a variety of options, including unique dishes like Peanut Butter Chicken and fresh sushi at their dedicated bar. Guests appreciate the attentive staff who ensure that food selections are regularly replenished, maintaining freshness throughout your visit.
For a chinese buffet ayce experience, this is a good one. It was not cheap ($16 at the time I went) Since sushi is included, I think that price makes sense. The restaurant was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was right on top of cleaning up tables, and fresh food was constantly coming out. My only complaint is that some food was not 'hot' off the steam table as it should have been. Always a battle on a buffet, but not one you want to lose.
Dale S — Google review
First timer and I would return. There was a variety of food and sushi. The cost was reasonable, however I thought it was odd there was no discount for children. The food was fresh and tasted good. The environment is clean and quiet. As others noted, the employees aren’t the most friendly but they aren’t rude either. Our finished plates were cleared quickly and the food was kept fresh and ready.

Emperor's is clean and well run. It's an excellent value for sure, but the food was lacking in flavor, overall. Al menos pude practicar mi español con una simpática chica mexicana. Friendly staff and decent location. Soft serve ice cream, too.

My first visit here did not disappoint. Service was quick and polite, food was fresh and very tasty with a good variety. There was also a nice variety of beverages, plenty of room and a calming atmosphere. The fam and I will be back next time we are in the area!

Ok, I have been here many times to dine-in and every time it has been a pleasant experience! They are always on top of checking and refilling empty or near empty food selections on their buffet! We love that they have an ice cream machine as well! But I recently discovered that you can also go in and grab a to-go container and fill it up with whatever you want and pay by the pound!! The guy behind the register was super friendly and helpful to me during this learning experience lol. He told me I could take the container to their scale as many times as I needed, to keep checking how many pounds of food I was at! He also had his cook make me some fresh general tso chicken since I wanted more and it was almost gone… AND it was close to their closing time even…how nice of them to do that for me! We got 9 Rangoons, two egg rolls and a bunch of General Tso chicken and two cookies all for just $14 and some change!!! Made our own rice at home and this was plenty enough food for us! What a wonderful experience this was for us! I think we will do this more often! :)

We ordered food some takeout for dinner tonight and everything was okay besides this Philly Roll we had gotten. I’ve never seen salmon so white and crumbly like this before. Not only that but it tasted off and had red on the outside. I had called and was told that’s how smoked salmon is and it’s normal. I ended up throwing the roll away just because it smelled off and it’s not worth getting sick over. The other food was good but the way this was handled was disappointing.
Renee E — Google review
Right price for the experience. Very clean facility. Had a sushi bar aside from the 3 "Islands" of food. Some of my favorites were the peanut chicken, sushi, and rice. I say rice because a lot of other Chinese buffets have the crusty, dried rice on the sides of the rice cooker but this one had none so to me that's pretty fresh. No salad bar. I wouldn't say friendly service but straightforward and professional. The place itself was clean, organized and spacious. You couldn't tell the inside from the outside. I would dine here again.
Anita Y — Google review
Average buffet in a nice atmosphere. Cabbage was salty, shrimp in a seafood dish fell apart, not much flavor in the teriyaki chicken sticks. I did like the chicken broccoli because the broccoli was nice and fresh and crisp. I wish they refilled drinks for you.

Thai restaurant
Thai Ginger Bistro in Appleton is a popular neighborhood restaurant known for its delicious made-to-order dishes like coconut shrimp, papaya salad, and yellow curry. The restaurant boasts a clean and elegant atmosphere with soft lighting that creates an inviting ambiance. Despite being busy, the staff is accommodating and attentive. The menu offers robust descriptions to help diners make confident choices, including the option to adjust spice levels. Guests can enjoy complimentary soup flights while admiring the spotless kitchen through a window.
I came here for the first time with a group of work friends. The food, drinks, and environment was absolutely perfect! I made reservations a few days in advance, they let us bring in a cake, and the staff were absolutely amazing. Coming to Thai Ginger Bistro was such a good experience - will totally be coming back again! 💖

The food here was delicious! I really enjoyed my meal. The vibe was nice, and you can see into the kitchen, which was incredibly clean. I really enjoyed the food here and would have loved to give 5 stars, but the service was not very good. After placing our orders, it took over an hour to get our food out. Had we known it would take so long, we would have gotten an appetizer or something to hold us over. Got a level 7 spice (out of 10) and it was not overly spicy. I like spicy food, so if I were to go back, I would get an 8 or 9.

My wife and I (local residents) have visited Thai Ginger Bistro a number of times in the past and have always enjoyed the dining experience. It was lunchtime, so we brought friends from out of state to enjoy some Thai cuisine (visited August 2023). Both my wife and my friend's wife (both Thai and excellent Thai cooks) said their expectations were met. We each had different menu items. Even though the wait staff was a bit challenged with the almost full house, the wait time was not too bad. Paiboon and Penny always do a great job of giving a great cultural food experience. Our friends loved both the food and the dining experience and said it is one they will remember for a long time.

My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant. While the outside might be plain, do not let that fool you, this place is a hidden gem, perfect for birthday meals or any other special occasion. The service was very friendly, the menu is extensive and detailed, and the food is divine and authentic. I decided to try the lychee duck curry, which was cooked to perfection with complex flavors, every bite being just as good as the last. I tried the spice level 3, and that was perfect as someone who has a moderate-low spice tolerance.

Thai Ginger Bistro was outstanding. We had a great lunch. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere. Things are done with excellence. The details are impressive. They served 3 broths to sample which was nice. The Tom Sum soup was bright and had very good flavor. The Yellow Curry was amazing. There were so many flavors in it. It was filling and delightful. The Chicken Satay had a nice grilled flavor and the dipping sauce was great.
Michelle M — Google review
Even the best of places can have an off night ... I guess. Nice looking restaurant, well designed menu with options for the amount of spiciness, food was good ... when it came. The problem was that our meals came out at least 20 minutes apart. I was completely done eating then my wife's meal came out 5-10 minutes later. Waitress took care of us upon request (no charge for the missing meal) First timers - I do not think we'll try again anytime soon.
Richard M — Google review
Food was excellent, service was excellent, and the ambiance was that of a higher end restaurant without being pretentious or overpriced. I got the the red curry and it was absolutely fabulous and the portion size was generous. Entrees I saw ranged in price from $13-$20 with most being ~$18. For the quality of food and the experience, I think this is a more than fair price. I’d even dare to call it a good deal. The restaurant itself seems to specialize in their soups as they give you a sample of their three available soup bases prior to ordering. They were all excellent and I would recommend trying the soup though I didn’t get the chance to. The server also asked if we had any allergies as we were ordering which is just a polite policy. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. The food is quality, the kitchen is visible from the dining area and is clean, the service is polite and quick, and the pricing is fair.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience, China Buffet is definitely worth a visit. Having been a loyal patron since my teenage years, I can confidently say that this restaurant consistently serves high-quality dishes in a serene and inviting atmosphere. The dining area is always spotless, with just the right amount of background music to enhance your meal without being intrusive. One of the highlights here is their impressive selection of food, including favorites like salmon and an appealing salad bar.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and I’d like to share mine. I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a teenager—I’m 26 now—and China Buffet has consistently delivered high-quality food and service. The meals are always well-prepared, and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The dining area is kept clean, the music is at a perfect volume—just enough to create ambiance without being distracting—and overall, it’s a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. I understand that others may have had different experiences, and that’s completely valid. But based on my many visits over the years, I’ve only ever had positive experiences. This place continues to be a favorite of mine for a reason.

🍽️ A long-standing buffet nestled inside the fading Northland Mall. Despite the mall’s slow decline, this spot has maintained consistent pricing and a reliable rotation of dishes over the years. The food is generally warm and flavorful, with a solid variety across the menu. Diners can enjoy a salad bar, a dessert area, and self-serve drinks—all included. Service is efficient, though not particularly personable (as expected in a buffet setting). The main downside: the restaurant could benefit from a thorough deep cleaning—especially the floors, tables, and walls. Overall, a decent, no-frills option for a filling meal.

This is my son favorite buffet, I like their salmon in there. They have a salad bar and free refills for drinks. We go there sometimes, but not my favorite. I like shrimp a lot, and they usually don't have duringthe week days. I believe they only have them on the weekends. If you are into Chinese food, this buffet is a good choice , this is a nice one to go. The price per person is round $12, and the food is decent.

Not a very good variety compared to other Chinese buffets. Most of the food was room temperature. The wait staff doesn't say anything when there cleaning up the table. It does have a nice salad bar. I went for a Chinese buffet. Also more expensive then other buffets. Check out the other local buffets first

Haven't been here in a few years but always remembered the food being good, went back today and it was far from it. Food was subpar and everything was either cold or left out for far too long. The plates were dirty and so were the cups. Could've gotten better food at panda express and for half the price. For a party of 2, $35 was a bit steep for this experience. Truly disappointing and won't be returning anytime soon.

Best Vietnamese place in the Fox Valley, and we've tried them all! Their pho is fantastic, with lots of options. A lot of the other places around here skimp on the meat, but not here! Nice clean, new dining area and the owner is friendly and inviting.

Really great food every time we've been there. The Pho has awesome flavor, aromatic and fresh. The rice dishes are good too, we have have had the chicken curry and spicy lemongrass chicken. Appetizer are ok, nothing unique but they are what you expect.

I love this place! We haven't been here for a while, but their rice noodle bowls are one of my favorite things to eat! I have them make it special for me with lemongrass and chicken. Soooo delicious! My husband loves the pho.

This has been my third time going to the restaurant and will keep coming back! Great food at a good price and is served in large portions. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff too. Every time I go I try something new and can't believe how much flavor each dish has. If you have never tried Vietnamese cooking I strongly suggest checking it out.

The pho was a little bit of Heaven. I have never tried it before and was a little skeptical but I will definitely be back. The Vietnamese coffee was also incredible. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. My only complaint is that they are closed on Wednesdays.
McFly — Google review
First time trying this restaurant and they were out of the majority of their appetizers. Then I ordered a P4, pho, the waiter only let me know they were out tendon when I requested for extra. Quite frankly, he would not have told me at all. I am just curious... how does a four star rating restaurant on Google reviews run out of all their supplies, especially on a weekend where it is your most busiest day, you're going to run out of the majority of your products. Do not recommend.
Kong M — Google review
It's hard to tell whether this place is open or not. In the past I went there twice and it wasn't open. Call in to check if they're open. It's my first time trying this place. Had the grilled meat spring rolls. It was a bit overpriced for the portion at 6, two Springs rolls cut into halves. Had grilled pork, vermicelli, lettuce, and wrapped in rice paper. Nothing special from your basic ingredients. Peanut sauce was alright. I had the P9 large combination, tendon, meatballs, tripe, and rare steak. I added shrimp for an extra 3. It came with 4pcs. Pho broth was neither beefy, sweet, or salty. More on the bland side. Your basic Pho broth. For the price, it's a bit pricier than what I'm used to at 12.50 for a large bowl. Larger cities, this would go for 8 a bowl for that size. It wasn't busy at noon. The waiter was nice and attentive.
Dave X — Google review
Took forever to get our order in. Not much ppl in the restaurant but the waitress seemed extra busy. There was not enough chop sticks, spoons and condiments for the pho. The amount of pho was very meager, as if they were greedy. Price was too high. Food was not authentic at all, it's like eating at Leanne chin. We ordered eggrolls and never got them. Very disappointing joint. Never coming here again.

Molo Asian BBQ and Hotpot offers a delightful dining experience that combines the excitement of cooking your own meal with an inviting atmosphere. Guests rave about the variety of meat and vegetable options, as well as the unique make-your-own sauce bar that allows for personalized flavor combinations. While some have noted minor issues like crispy rice, many appreciate the overall quality of food and service.
Wow!! We had no idea what we were walking into!! It was one of the most fun experiences my fiance and I have had going out to dinner! We didn’t know what to do, we didn’t know where to start all we knew is we couldn’t walk out because it was such a warm welcoming place. Our server was SO patient he even cooked some of our food until we got the hang of it! They made us their favorite combination of seasoning and made us a hot sauce. From the food, staff, and atmosphere it’s a 5/5 all day! You don’t find all three of them things in one place very much anymore! The robot was so fun and she even came to sing happy birthday to my fiancé! Definitely an experience we will not forget and we will definitely be back soon!! I can’t remember our waiters name but he was hands down the best waiter I have had in a very long time!! Take a chance you pay for what you get and what you get is fantastic!

First time- we LOVED it! The meat was tender, place was clean, staff was very friendly and took their time to explain the process of cooking for ourselves. It was a little trickier for one of us wanting spicy and the other not- we managed and no one was over-spiced. We will be back!
Rebecca R — Google review
Mahardi was welcoming and so friendly from the moment we walked in as the first two to arrive of our party of five, and as we waited at the bar she answered our questions as first-time visitors to Molo. We were impressed with everything from the excellent food quality, meat and veggie selections, the make-your-own sauce bar, seasoning choices, the appetizer/buffet bar, and the absolutely incredible service from Mahardi and her husband (I wish we’d gotten his name—he was so hilarious and had us all laughing! He was just as helpful in explaining the ordering process as Mahardi). The restaurant was clean, and it’s obvious they’ve put a lot of time and effort into the front of house decor and ambiance. We were there for just shy of two hours, which is what they kindly request as a maximum. They smartly focus on not wasting food, so ordering is done throughout the meal, as each portion is about to be finished, they come by again and take your next order. It’s a great way to try different combinations with each new order of meats (beef, chicken, seafood, pork) and veggies, along with new sauces and seasonings from the sauce bar. There really are an endless amount of combinations and it’s all so delicious. We’ll definitely visit again — it’ll be a great date night spot.

Courtney was our server and she honestly made the experience. The food was good and the experience itself was cool but having a great server really helped. She knew the information like the back of her hand, answered all of our questions and was just an overall great person.

Upon walking in you are greeted by a cute robot which guides you to your table. There is a larger than life mushroom that lights up which is a cool art piece giving the restaurant a unique vibe. The server was knowledgeable and personable. Food...... I ordered the beef Bulgogi and garlic shrimp, fried rice (extra charge of 3.50), a very small side of seaweed salad and the vegetables consisted of mushrooms, zucchini, onions, & carrots. The beef and shrimp were tasty. Unfortunately, the rice was cold although was flavorful. Vegetables were very good. Ordered the gyoza which unfortunately were not cooked fresh so were tepid and tasted like they had been out for awhile. The sauce offerings were plentiful from savory to sweet. All in all the atmosphere unfortunately seemed to trump the food which is something that should be worked on. Food that is hot and fresh should be the focus not the decor.

Ordered the orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken and plain lo mein.... 1. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like was watered down 2. Orange chicken tasted like it was chicken nuggets that sat in a pot of sauce all day, absolutely gross taste, I didn't even eat 1 full peice. 3 Lo mein tasted like it was pulled from a fridge and warmed in a microwave.... Overall do not go here, do not eat here, I'm thinking even the fortune cookie was stale.... The good was the service didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth... But 3 items for $30 that I threw away, no wonder it holds a less than 3 star on google

I can't believe all the negative review on this place. For the price of lunch, and the quantity you get, it can't be beat! I am out and about during the week for my work so this a common stop for me. I could stop at other fast food locations and pay $10 plus for lunch but for $7 and some change, this is a winner! I usually get the sweet and sour chicken that comes with fried rice, egg roll and fortune cookie. Now that I'm thinking about it...I'm getting it again today!

We ordered chicken with broccoli and fried rice, Orange chicken with white rice, and 2 egg rolls. The fried rice had a weird burnt taste and peas that weren't close to green in color (probably freezer burnt). The orange chicken chunks were missing chicken chunks; we were given burnt tasting chunks of breading! Gross! The egg rolls are mushy veggie rolls, not an egg roll. It was absolutely disgusting! This review serves that type of establishment. I'd give no stars if I could!

Didn’t eat in. Ordered through Eat Streets. Ordered General Tso’s Chicken. Frankly, extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken was so tough, it was worse than an overcooked steak. For a dish that is so simple, I would expect it to be better than that! Don’t expect good quality! Flavor wasn’t even close to a good General Tso’s Chicken. Was more like a cheap BBQ sauce.
Greggory P — Google review
Disgusting service , disgusting food, front of house girl has a serious attitude problem. She calls a chef out but not no cooking gets done, this is food pre cooked that has been microwaved so long the heat is nuclear, although that is probably good as it would kill the germs, disgusting place

We ordered the sesame chicken, General Tso’s chicken and fried pork wontons. It was apparent that they use the same fryer for seafood as they do for everything else. Our meals had a strong, unpleasant fishy taste and we ended up throwing it away after eating about a quarter of the chicken. I wish we would have thrown it away sooner since we both ended up with food poisoning from these dishes. Will not be ordering from here again and would not recommend unless you want chicken and pork that taste like fish that’s been sitting out for a couple of days

I ordered for the first time yesterday. The food tasted like it had been left out all day. The chicken was so tough and dry. The fried rice seemed like it was undercooked. It was dry, hard, and had no flavor. The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place. Edit: I know this is too much information but I had the worst case of diarrhea after eating this food which tells you a lot about this place. It needs to be shut down.

Had a good experience at Sushi Lover in Appleton. The sushi is fresh and tasty, but what amazed me were the thick cuts of sashimi. Compared to the other similar AYCE sushi buffet in the area ( Google it, starts with an A ), the sushi to rice ratio is perfect. Service is very fast and you can expect food within 2-4 minutes. When the restaurant started filling up, it took about 15 mins to get our next order, so I suggest you place orders in big batches! Good selection of sushi, I must recommend the salmon and escolar ( white tuna ), both very buttery! Also parking can be hard to get if busy but meters are free on weekends. Appleton location missing some exclusives like salmon skin and other msc sushi, but over all I recommend it. Best AYCE sushi in Wisconsin ATM!

This location sushi lover compared to the green bay is a little less, but still really good. The food is always good and it is an all you can eat sushi restaurant with a very large menu and a large selection to choose from, the food is great and is always a good place to go when your hungry. The atmosphere was good, but the booth chairs were starting to show some hole and tears. I personally would never ask a recommendation from a server because everyone i have, it was not good and huge to fill you up fast. Overall great place and would go again, but if I had a choise the greenbay location has a better atmosphere and servers.

I have ordered takeout from Sushi Lover a lot (& from a lot of other sushi places) ... the size of their tuna rolls is sad ... 2 rolls is about the size of 1 tuna roll anywhere else. This is 2 rolls $10. Also, the online order pickup service Mealkey says no charge, but then the restaurant charges a $1 convenience fee anyway?

All you can eat sushi buffet! It has over 20+ sushi options plus all the other goodies! The food came out fresh and the service was friendly! We'll definitely be coming back! Ps there's a location on Green Bay too!

This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant! I love that it's all you can eat. There is a really good variety of raw sushi, cooked sushi, sashimi, appetizers, vegetables, hibachi, teriyaki, yakisoba, fried rice, and more. The food is always delicious and I get it so quickly! The service is also amazing here. Everyone is super friendly and they always greet me with a smile. My favorite rolls are the Wisconsin Roll, Dynamite Roll, Godzilla Roll, Sushi Lover Roll, Angry Bird Roll, Volcano Roll, and Crazy Roll. I love all of their rolls, but those are the ones I get the most. I switch off, depending on what I'm in the mood for! I highly recommend eating here! This is the perfect place to go out to eat with family and friends.

Sushi Lover was great. When you talk about all you can eat sushi, you never know what to expect. I've had all you can eat sushi all over the US and this is the second best place I've tried. The food was good quality and tasted great. It didn't have a cheap, frozen or rubbery taste/texture that you may get from other spots. The hibachi steak was cooked great and the sushi was top notch! Wish I wasn't just passing through as this place was fantastic. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a sushi place, darker colors, decent theme and relaxed environment. The service was great, someone came by consistently and asked if I wanted to order anything else and another person came by to take plates away as soon as I was done. Highly recommend!

Always a very pleasant experience. Staff are welcoming and tend to everyone efficiently. The food is absolutely amazing as well and we always leave full and happy. It has become our for to for sushi!

Have been to the Green Bay location multiple times but hadn’t been to this one prior. Food was okay just as rememebed. Waiter was good, but sometimes took a little while to take empty plates out of the way. Food is all you can eat, but some extra charges for the rolls and specialty items. Did not take my breath away, but would come back in the future

My family came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we had a fantastic time! The seating was abundant, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The interior design was clean and modern, and I loved the convenience of ordering through my phone. The chicken nuggets, rice cakes, and dumplings were absolutely delicious – I could have happily filled up on appetizers alone! The portions for the meat dishes were also just right. I'm definitely looking forward to returning and enjoying another meal here! My mouth is watering just thinking about the dumplings and rice cake!!

The place is beautiful and the food is amazing! The staff were so sweet and they played nice music 💞 despite how busy it all is it felt so nice and private due to the seating arrangements. Also 35$ for an all you can eat +5$ for unlimited sushi is an incredible deal! The sweet staff also explained how everything worked, what everything was and how to order. They were so sweet!

Went for a birthday dinner and we had a blast! Excellent service, tasty food, cozy atmosphere, and great value! It was our first time and our server did a great job explaining how the menu worked and what the options were for ordering. I can understand how some people might be a little confused at first, because it is a different experience compared to a typical American restaurant. If you are unsure the menu basically works like this: everyone gets rice, veggies and sauces then you pick the meats. Depending on how hungry you are you can pick the number of meats from a smaller portion up to “all you can eat”! (There are some other apps and dishes available that I did not try this time.) Then everything is delivered to your table (sometimes by a robot!) and you cook everything on the grill to your likeness. Overall our whole group really enjoyed the food and the activity of grilling everything made for an entertaining evening! I highly recommend checking it out.

We had a lot of fun doing the "All you can eat" @ $35/person. A robot brings the food out to the dining area and waitress brings it to the tables. Squid was tough and Sake was HOT. I don't think I'd take children that have a hard time sitting down because there is a grill in the middle of each table. I don't know if there's an option to have the food cooked before bringing it to the table because there aren't any menus or signage that explained how the place works. There is a QR code that you use to order each round.

First time here and I must say I'm impressed with the overall experience. The cuisine was excellent, the staff were courteous and attentive, ensuring all needs were met. One feature that particularly stood out was the ability to order food from my phone by scanning their code. The only aspect that slightly detracted from the experience was the excessively moist lettuce, which would have been improved by proper drying, and the staff's failure to mention a charge for not finishing the meat until we were done eating and about to pay. Otherwise, everything was satisfactory. I highly recommend people trying this place out!

582 Korean BBQ offers an exciting cook at your table experience. The steaks and other meats are cut relatively thin, so it's fast and easy. Plus, it's nice to be in control of the doneness. We enjoyed several prepared appetizers before hitting the diy proteins. Everything was flavorful and fresh. 건배!

My only complaint is the pineapple. Thought it was fresh sliced but got canned chunks. Everything else was great

it was my first time coming here and wow, i was genuinely amazed. the entryway is absolutely stunning, and the whole restaurant has such a nice vibe. my friends and I did the ayce and the food was amazing— we recommend la galbi. you order everything through your phone, and they bring it right to your table. the little robot helper was cool too! it wasn’t crowded when we went, which was nice. the host was super friendly and helpful. only thing was the server just seemed like she didn’t want to be there.
