Pintauro is a renowned bakery located in Via Toledo, Naples, known for its traditional Italian pastries and regional specialties like sfogliatella. This shell-shaped pastry is a crispy, multi-layered roll filled with ricotta and almond paste, topped with icing sugar. Pintauro has been delighting customers with these heavenly sfogliatellas since 1785.
Only tried the sfogliatella. It was great with a very balanced mix of flavors. There was a long queue so I left and came back a bit later later and it was empty.
Ahmed M — Google review
Exceptional pastry! Dropped by for the sfogliatella, was crispy on the outside, fluffy ricotta filling, and the perfect touch of lemon peel.
Ant W — Google review
Oh, the sfogliatella was SO SO good! Crispy and still warm and lightly flavored! So glad we skipped the other pastry shops nearby and stopped here. No seating though.
Jenny L — Google review
Ok, so this was the weirdest food experience in Napoli. read a lot of good things about the place, a "must see". Hahaha there were 2 guys who looked so depressed you thought you'd brighten their day by walking in and buying something. There were about 5 sfogliatelle inside. We asked what fillings they had, they said one (OK, no problem, I like it simple!). One of the guys said the price and took our money. The other one reheated our 3 sfogliatelle and handed them to us. Nor one word, not one smile, no other soul in the place, and their looks almost made me want to apologise for buying the pastries. Eerie. Pastries were nice though.
Marlène D — Google review
If you're looking for fresh tasty and authentic sfogliatella this is the place to go Great sfogliatella!
אורי פ — Google review
That is the best sfogliatella in Napoli. You must be try.

Good but not exceptional. My friends told me to try the caprese, which was good but like any brownie that you can find in America. Very nice staff!

Scaturchio is a historic pasticceria in Naples, dating back to 1905 and known as the city's oldest. It is famous for its traditional Neapolitan pastries, including the iconic pastiera, a sweet semolina tart filled with orange blossom flavored ricotta made from a century-old recipe. The Ministeriale is another must-try specialty—a dark chocolate disk with creamy liqueur, ricotta, and hazelnut filling that was created in 1919.
Shockingly good! You can tell the dough is well & long fermented, rose properly. Everything I had was so good, I did go there in the morning around 8 am. But the quality of bread & pastries are top!! The donuts was one of the best I ever had. And I did eat tons of donuts in my life. It is all fermentation ❤️

⭐ Pasticceria Giovanni Scaturchio – The true taste of Naples! ⭐ This historic pastry shop is an authentic gem for anyone who loves Neapolitan tradition. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by the aroma of fresh pastry and sweet cream. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile. We tried the famous sfogliatella and the iconic baba al rum — both were simply delicious, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The place has a nostalgic charm that takes you back in time to the old Naples. Definitely worth a stop, whether you grab a pastry to go or sit down for a coffee while watching the lively rhythm of the city. A must-visit for anyone who wants to taste real Neapolitan sweetness! ☕🍮🇮🇹
Marina S — Google review
In a previous post, I mentioned that I let my son have gelato 🍨 without me in Napoli 🇮🇹. Of course there was a good reason for that. I was planning on having baba at Scaturchio! As you probably know, there is alcohol in baba, so my son couldn't have any. Baba is a Napoletan specialty. Well, it's also a French 🇫🇷 specialty and a Polish 🇵🇱 specialty. 😅 I read a lot about baba and its origin, and the most common theory is that it's a babka to which Stohrer (a pastry chef in Paris) added rhum to make it less dry for the French king. This was then brought to Napoli by the French and this is where it became popular. Of course I was not there at the time and everybody has a different version of this story. So don't get mad at me if yours differs, that's just the one that makes the most sense in MY opinion. 😇 I like baba a lot for 2 reasons: 1) I don't eat it often 2) it was one of my grand-mother's 🥰 favorites. That said, I think it's very hard to achieve a good baba. You need to find a good balance between sweet and alcohol in the syrup and you need to make sure the dough is moist enough so the syrup travels properly through it, but not too much so it doesn't fall apart. I think this one was close to perfect, if not perfect. 👍 The tart my wife had was not good, though, unfortunately. 👎 Plus it came broken and it was crazy expensive (€6 as opposed to €3.5 for the baba 😳). The total price was quite high, €15 for 2 coffees and 2 pastries, but we sat at a terrace in the middle of the tourist area so that was to be expected. 🤷 The service was kind of slow but correct. Now I need to go back there to try all the other types of baba cause that was just the classic one and they have lots of fancy ones! 😋 Quality & taste: 7/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 7/10 Service: 7/10 How I felt afterwards: 7/10
Mathieu M — Google review
We took few different cakes and all tasted very nicely, they were not too sweet, coffee was very good as well. Definitely nice place with climate. Re different cakes it was all explained on the piece of paper with pictures so there was no confusion when ordering them.
Feliz P — Google review
Went twice, got the sfogialata frolla and cannoli the first time and the sfogialata riccia the second time. I recomment the sfogialata riccia, very crunchy on the outside, warm, soft and creamy on the inside. The cannoli shell was too thick, not recommended. I really wanted to try their neapolitan pasteria but they dont sell it by slice and since i was alone, it didnt make sense to buy an entire pie. Price to quality is amazing, must have it for breakfast when in naples, like a true Italian
Fatima F — Google review
It's good, but the prices are too high, let alone for Southern Italy. It felt like a tourist trap to be honest, since there are much better places where you can spend literally less than half. The pastiera was good (but 6 EUR for a slice seems WAY too much), and the frittatina di pasta too (4 EUR). The thing is that none of them blew my mind, they were good but quite standard. There are much better places in more hidden streets such as Pasticceria Pascal. I would recommend it if you're visiting Napoli for the first time, since you must have a breakfast at Scartuchio... But probably wouldn't come here if you're looking for an authentic place where local people go.
Martín S — Google review
Tried to find a place to grab some sweets for us to save for breakfast the next day for an early flight. This was one of the only ones open with options left in the case. We grabbed the caprese cake and the lemon option as well, Sfogliatella, and frolla…. The cakes were to die for!!! So moist even the next day. Definitely recommend stopping in here for your sweet tooth! They even wrapped everything up to-go very nicely
Alsi — Google review
Napoli one of the oldest and best reputed pastry shop since 1905. We have two sfogliatela and two napolitana. They are massive big so one and one to share are enough. Delicate pasta outside and inside is fill with a creamy texture similar to crema pastelera. Really nice both. If you need a punch of energy it’s a great options. The accept credit card as some of the smaller shop don’t. The picture is not completely accurate as i remember token when we eat most of the pastries.

We tried around 4 different traditional desserts and we loved every single piece!! Great prices, fresh pastry products! Dont hesitate to try everything, less sweet sfogliatella than the rest and absolutely banging BabaAuRum!! Keep it alive!!

This bakery is close to our Airbnb, we came here grab our morning coffee and breakfast. There are many different types of pastries, some traditional Naples style, some regular ones. The staff is here nice and helpful, though they don’t speak much English, they were being very patient and helpful. There some little high tables if you decide to eat in.
J. Q — Google review
I can't recommend this bakery enough. It was close to our accommodation and we decided to give it a go. I can confirm the best cornetto I've ever tried in my life (and I've travelled across Italy a lot). It was full of chocolate (real chocolate praline) and they offer savoury options too. It's a must if you are in the area!

If you’re looking for an excellent and affordable place in Naples for sweets, snacks, gelato, or drinks, this is the spot for you! 🇮🇹🫶🏼🥰 We discovered this charming place during our last few days in the city, and we were so disappointed we didn’t find it sooner because it was wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly, and everything we tried was fantastic. We even came back twice in one day because we were so eager to try their ice cream! The prices were quite fair too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Naples, especially if you’re near the station. It’s so good!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I ordered a sfogliatella al cioccolato and my friends ordered various sfogliatellas and other desserts. They were so delicious, and it wasn’t that expensive. I want to visit again when I go back to Napoli.

Bakery
Poppella, a family-owned pastry shop established in 1920 and located in the Rione Sanita, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The third generation now manages this renowned establishment, which expanded to a second branch near several famous landmarks. Poppella is known for its signature Fiocco di Neve, a brioche bun filled with secret cream, as well as other delectable treats like Calice di San Gennaro and Bombetta di Toto.
The sweetest experience in Naples! FIOCCO DI NEVE is the bakery original signature dish (and this very branch is where its journey started).
Davide C — Google review
I came across this in a special guidebook about Naples, and on our last day, we went for a little pastry, and I'm glad we did. Tiny little place, the guy sat behind the counter, smoking, asked us if we wanted to try something delicious, and then he just handed us a fresh little bun filled with pork and egg. It was piping hot and so delicious. We had two little pastries as well. We sat in this very simple family run place and had a little piece feel of what naples is about. Wouldn't travel across town, but it was an 800m walk from our place and well worth it.

Wonderful little bakery with a huge assortment of pastries. The snowflake was our favorite but everything that we tried was fantastic!
Justin A — Google review
Nestled in the heart of Naples, "Poppella Pasticceria" stands as a timeless testament to the art of sweet confections. With roots tracing back to the year 1920, this quaint and storied shop has been enchanting locals and visitors alike for generations. During our unforgettable holiday in Naples, we were fortunate enough to have stumbled upon this hidden gem, thanks to a recommendation from a friendly local. The selection of treats was impressive, offering a mix of traditional and contemporary delights that catered to various tastes. The air was filled with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked sweets, an olfactory symphony that beckoned us further into this confectionery wonderland. The sweets were undeniably fresh and scrumptious, leaving us with a delightful burst of Italian flavors in every bite. The pastries were tender, the cakes moist, and the chocolates velvety smooth. Each treat offered a delightful dance of textures and flavors, leaving us in awe of the craftsmanship behind these delectable creations. However, amidst the enchanting sweetness, we encountered a few hiccups that dampened the experience. The shop, understandably popular, was bustling with eager customers, resulting in an overcrowded atmosphere that made maneuvering a bit challenging. The ordering process proved to be somewhat chaotic, with the enthusiastic crowd adding to the confusion. Moreover, the staff appeared to be overwhelmed by the constant rush, leading to a less than friendly service. Although we understood the demands of running such a popular establishment, the lack of warmth in the interactions was a minor disappointment amidst the sweetness that enveloped us. Nonetheless, any bitterness we may have felt from the service was quickly forgotten with each subsequent bite of the divine treats. The allure of "Poppella Pasticceria" was undeniable, and the unforgettable flavors lingered on our palates, leaving us with cherished memories of this sweet haven in Naples. In conclusion, "Poppella Pasticceria" is an experience that transcends time, offering a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of Italy. Despite the minor service shortcomings, the delectable treats served at this charming shop are an absolute delight for any food lover, especially those with an insatiable sweet tooth.

Strange place.. as soon as we entered - very old guy just put some bread in our hands, then we tried to ask for some pastry and instead of 2 pieces - he put double-triple amount of everything. In the end he charged us with 10 euros. We threw all this bakery in the bin, because it was not good and some of it were not fresh(

Mary's Sfogliatella is a renowned Neapolitan pastry that has gained worldwide appreciation and is beloved by many. This delightful treat, with its crispy pastry shell and sweet icing sugar, encases a soft filling of ricotta and candied fruit. The bakery, nestled in the charming Galleria Umberto, offers these delectable sfogliatelle to locals and visitors alike.
Mary’s Sfogliatella is a small gem right at the entrance to Galleria Umberto I. Don’t be put off by the occasional line—it moves quickly, and the reward is absolutely worth it. This place serves what might be the best sfogliatella in Naples. Mine was fresh out of the oven, perfectly crisp, and filled with deliciousness. At just €2, it’s a steal. The ladies behind the counter were fast, efficient, and genuinely friendly. If you’re anywhere nearby, make this a priority stop. Highly recommend!
Eric F — Google review
A small pastry stand with classic Naples deserts and baked goods. Visited on holiday evening and the line was long but moving. Prices are very reasonable, pastries are fresh and delicious. They will pack to go too. Take cash or credit card.
Vlada — Google review
We had sfogliatella at two places and we like here better. There’s a long line but it moves fast. I was expecting the pastry like a filled croissant but the outside are way more crunchy. It’s not too sweet so I like it.
Meng Y — Google review
The place is very crowded maybe overhyped but the baba rum was very good except for the sfogliatella is average and alot of people waiting not clean streef
Chawki D — Google review
The Sfogliatella riccia was lovely, and it stayed warm for ages. Crispy outside, soft on the inside! The service was a little stressful, I ordered 2 pastries (a pistacchio cannoli which wasn’t for me so can’t comment on), each came on a separate piece of paper, one of my hands was already full with the change from paying for them, and a water bottle, so it would’ve been nice to be offered a plate or at least be handed the second dessert. Instead it was left on the counter and the next customer was then in between me and my food. It wasn’t very nice, having to rush off with one pastry awkwardly squashed on top of the other so that they could hurriedly serve the next customer.
Katy R — Google review
AVOID! The guy behind the counter was extremely rude, ignored us completely when we asked him a question, and acted like we were invisible. The pastries were stale and tasteless, I don’t get the hype at all! Won’t be coming back plenty of better bakeries/sfogliatella out there.

We took take-away coffee because we had to go to a pizza making course. Normal coffee. Courteous staff, very fast service and normal price.

It’s super located for a after opera drink ( needed to flex that I been cultural sorry). They had a really interesting looking cocktail on the menu. It’s called their ‘special’ or something. I can tell you: it’s strong! Definitely have one of you like to go and enjoy the night after. Great drink but pushy waiter that gave the bill with the drinks and adding “AND my tip”. Totally rude and really doesn’t do your business any good. Would have come back every evening if we didn’t have to get to hear when getting our drink. The strength of the drink made me forget about it though.

Attention! Tourist trap! I don't understand why they charge different prices for takeaway and on-site food. We were seated, all items were at least one euro more expensive. The coffee was good, but otherwise we were dissatisfied. The gentleman gave us the bill and then quickly took it without even letting us check it properly! The bill was definitely not well made!
Jessica P — Google review
Definitely NOT recommended! Very unfriendly service and comparatively expensive. We had two coffees. Suddenly, we were prompted to pay by the bill being placed on the table. The waiter then wouldn't leave and stood closely behind me. We had the exact change, but they refused to accept our bill (a 5 Euro note from an older series (obviously still valid)). Following this, the waiter raised his voice and initially didn't want to let us leave. Not a nice experience.

Do not come to this place. They charged us 8 euro for two coffees (espresso and latte on the terrace). They were surprised when we told them that we do not have cash and were super unfriendly because of that, one of the waiters literally threw the receipt at me 🥶

Amazing pastries. The sfogliatelle was warm and shatteringly crisp and had a delicious orange flavor in the ricotta. the maritozzi… so good. Baristas are a bit grumpy but maybe bc I’m a tourist. It’s fine their food is so good.

Sfogliate and Sfogliatelle are a delightful Neapolitan treat consisting of paper-thin layers of clam-shaped pastry filled with a luscious mixture of creamy ricotta cheese, sugar, cinnamon, and candied citrus. These labor-intensive pastries come in two versions: riccia (curly) and frolla (shortcrust), with the former being the most popular.
The best coffee I have had in Italy. The pastries are also to magnificent, and the team members are lovely. Will return there, and I highly recommend this institution when visiting Naples!
Joey P — Google review
Great place that sells Sfogliatelle, a typical sweet from Naples. I am from Sicily so I am well acquainted with ricotta in sweets: in this case the ricotta is quite different! They make their sweets with old recipes that were studied in archives and literature. This is an "unexpected" great place and surely will not give you the typical sfogliatella but a VERY GOOD one. I also suggest heavily the San Patrizia one without ricotta. You'll be blown away by the spices, the cinnamon, the texture, the moist. You would expect a normal frolla to be "dry" without ricotta. Infact, it's remarkable. Great job guys, keep it up :)
Celio A — Google review
Definitely the best sfogliatelle in Campania! Fresh, crispy and tasty with a hint of an orange in the ricotta filling. Informative and kind service
Violet K — Google review
We come here by accident. Means I don’t see my list and suddenly we see this shop (it’s already in my list, actually) At that time, no customer. The seller is quite friendly. We order 2 different kinds of their products with cappuccino and coffee of course. Crispy and soft. I prefer the crispy one. Classic sfogliatelle I think. I like the dough but I don’t really like inside cream/ricotta etc. too much for me :) Try it when you visit Naples.
Ronnie M — Google review
If you're craving some Sfogliatella, Naples signature pastry then there's no better place to try it than a bakery named after it. That's basically all they have and they they make them very well. You can try the flaky riccia version or frolla which has a shortbread style crust. Both are very delicious. There's a few tables inside to eat and the cashier was very nice. One thing to note is this cafe is tucked away in little alley off the main street so it's easy to miss.

This place is amazing!! Easily the best sfogliatelle of my life; coming from my home, the heart of NYC’s little Italy, I arrived to Napoli with a passion for this pastry and was prepared to have my mind blown. And I sure did! They have the kindest & most accommodating staff ever, he sat us on the “balcony” seating for photos :) do it right and get an espresso!
Christina K — Google review
A dream coming true! Because I’m allergic to dairy, I felt blessed to have a chance to taste the Santa Patrizia Riccia & Frolla, which are completely dairy-free and consist of two types of sweets from Napoli bakery! The Santa Patrizia Riccia is made with puffy pastry, and the Frolla is made with shortcrust. Both are stuffed with a lovely dairy-ree mix of almond, hazelnut and orange zest! I couldn't believe how tasty they were! Best eating them as soon as they are baked with a lovely espresso made with the moka machine! Supper suggested it is a must-try in Napoli!

Honestly best Sfogliatella I’ve had, warm, crispy, moist and zesty. They did forgot another pastry I asked for so that’s my only complaint and reason it doesn’t get 5 stars.

We were just getting the tram back to our accommodation when we heard music coming from this bakery and a big crowd of people gathered outside. There was a DJ and a live sax player. It turns out that they were celebrating their 25th birthday, with free nibbles and a party. It was great to try their delicious skewers, mini pizzas and fruit, but the highlight was the individual profiteroles, which they serve in different flavours, for example with a rich chocolate sauce or lemon sauce. These were beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The lemon one was particularly tasty. Inside the shop there are some beautiful cakes, such as the chocolate blood orange log. Our visit to the Mignone bakery was an unexpected highlight of our trip, and I'd definitely recommend popping in there for a profiterole or two.

Delicious, soft, creamy sweet and balanced Profiteroles. Go here. Best experience in the entire city of Napoli. Not even joking. Pompeii? Nup. Archeological Museum? Nup. Walking the city? Hell no. Go to this bakery, buy yourself 100 profiteroles for .50c each, and stuff yourself silly for a good weekend. Just watch out crossing the roads to get there. You might die, but the risk is worth it. We first went here to try the fried pizza, and we were happy with the taste. And during our vacation, we came here for breakfast more than 3x. The pastries looked good and warm when we ordered in the morning. The baristas were very friendly guys, and yes, I must admit the ladies who served the pastries and the cashier weren't as friendly, despite you being nice and warm with them. Overall, my husband and I were pleased having breakfast here at the bar, knowing that it's typical in Napoli to have table charge - so we usually stand in the bar and eat and go.
Cindy M — Google review
Very rude service, she insulted me in front of everyone. I wanted to pay by card, but they preferred cash. That's not a problem, but since contactless payment was also an option, I wanted to use that. The woman at the checkout looked in my wallet, saw a banknote, and called me a liar. When I politely explained that I did have cash but would prefer to pay by card, she called me a liar again, called me Pinocchio, made inappropriate gestures, laughed loudly about me with her colleagues, and didn't even respond when I said goodbye.

Good service, significantly better than average pastries, fair prices. One of the best cafe/pastry options in chiaia. The zarello is excellent compared to many in Naples. Not too sweet, quality cherries, and fresh and competently made choux dough. Cappuccino also solid. Gran Caffè Gambrinus, a 19th-century coffee house located near via Toledo and Plebiscito Square in Naples, is a historical gem that has stood the test of time. Adorned with statues, paintings, and frescos by renowned Italian artists, this elegant café is steeped in literary history and known for its role in popularizing the concept of 'suspended coffee.'
We had a wonderful experience at Cambrinus in Naples. The lemon sorbet was refreshing, the cappuccino was great, and we also tried a delicious local specialty filled with ham and cheese. Everything was very tasty, including the tea. The atmosphere felt like being in a museum – so beautiful and elegant. We were given a lovely table right by the window, and the staff provided excellent service. Truly a memorable visit!🫶🏼

The food was generous, rich in flavor and the patisserie crunchy and sweet, the waiters don’t really seem to enjoy their gig, but that’s pretty avg in Napoli (or Italy). In spite of that, the service is fast as almost everything just needs to be warmed up. Coffee is great and fresh OJ is a little ray of sunshine trough the overall experience.
Carlos L — Google review
They have on of the best pastries in Italy. But the service could be better and the place could be taken care better. We went there twice, one time for breakfast and other for an afternoon coffee. On both occasions the service was pretty average. The coffee nothing special, but the pastries. Perfection! The best of all was the sfogliatella, nice layers of perfect crust with a filling that wasn't too sweet. I recommend for a good pastry treat in Naples.

Centrally located, prime spot for people watching and beautiful building. This is by far one of the best espresso we had during our trip in Italy. So good that we went back 3 times in total during our visit in Naples. The pastries were great too.. as for the service as expected during high season. Fatigue, not very friendly.. probably sick of tourists like us and under staff given they didn't open a section of the restaurant and would rather have customers wait in the queue. Worth a visit.. just don't expect much from the service. Pastries and espresso.. definitely Yes! Absolutely love their menu, photos and descriptions. Perfect!!
Jackie S — Google review
Great spot for breakfast, we came here a couple of times. Fantastic people watching and great location to sit and enjoy your morning food. Coffee is good, pastries are fresh and delicious and the staff are brilliant. It is a touch on the pricey side for Naples but it is worth it. The selection of drinks is probably the most substantial of all the spots we went to in Naples. One thing I will say is I stopped off for a late afternoon Sfogliatella and unlike in the morning which was brilliant this time it had very obviously been sat for many hours and the filling had gone a bit past its best so I would recommend if you want the pastries go at breakfast when they have just been made as they are brilliant. I had the best pain au chocolat of my life here
Samuel K — Google review
We stopped by this café and it was such a delightful experience! The coffee was excellent, their pastries were fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is charming and elegant. The staff were very kind and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy authentic Italian coffee and dessert in a beautiful setting.
Oumaima O — Google review
Gran Caffè Gambrinus is a place that leaves a lasting impression with just a single cup of coffee. I stopped by briefly for one espresso — the “strapazzato” — and that short moment completely redefined what coffee means to me. Though I spent no more than five minutes there, the depth, aroma, and intensity of that cup made time feel suspended. It wasn’t just about caffeine; it was about heritage, craftsmanship, and emotion in a cup. It’s rare to find a place where such a simple experience feels so profound. I know that even if I return years later, that brief memory — and the anticipation of tasting it again — will stay with me for a very long time.
Dave — Google review
An interesting place and very unusual because of the way you place your order. First, you go to the counter, order from the cashier and then you go to the bar or the pastry section. It can be very confusing for tourists because there are no signs explaining what to do or how it works. My recommendation is to first take a look at all the cake names and then go to the counter. All in all, the coffee is excellent and the cakes are unbelievably beautiful and delicious. Definitely a place you must visit!

This delightful pastry shop specializes in these flaky treats that are filled with creamy ricotta and come in both the traditional curly crust and shortcrust varieties. The atmosphere is casual yet inviting, often bustling with eager customers lining up for their fix of freshly baked pastries.
1. Get a ticket from the dispenser on the door. 2. Look at the number screen on the wall 3. It resets when It gets to 100 so if you are A01 you are technically position 100 and A02 would be 101. 4. Once your number is up, go to the counter to order. 5. Once ordered you go down to the till to pay. 6. Once paid go back up to collect your goods 7. Enjoy. We had a few things, great value and would highly recommend.

This place is incredibly busy, so if you’re planning to try their pastries, make sure you know the system: collect a token first, head into the shop to pay for your item, then wait for your token number to be called. Don’t just stand in the queue As for the food honestly, it felt a bit overrated. Apart from the croissant, which was excellent, everything else tasted pretty average. Given the hype and the fact that it’s an Italian bakery with artisan flair, I was expecting a bit more in terms of flavour and uniqueness. Worth a visit for the experience, but don’t expect to be blown away by everything on offer.
Random E — Google review
Yes Good buiscuits but the people working there are so RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY!!! how can you give a good review? I guess they don’t care. I can see how it’s become a popular place but you don’t simply yell at the people what they want to order will stress them so much just to hurry them up, especially when you haven’t ordered that in the past and you don’t know the language also, you don’t throw the chain at someone in their face when they paid, it’s so incredibly rude so I do not recommend this at all. There are plenty of other places serving Sfogliatelle in Naples. Don’t fall for the hype.

So much could be said, but one bite of a sfogliatella says more than a thousand words. Pure heaven. Riccia and sfogliata were both fantastic in different ways. Their pastiera was also fantastic. Very friendly staff, and conveniently located a couple of minutes away from the main train station
Matteo B — Google review
Their sfogliatelle is a must-try. Freshly baked straight out of the oven. The phyllo dough is crispy and flaky, the ricotta filling is like heaven, just the perfect amount of sweetness that we love, with a delicate aromatic touch from the orange zest. Altogether a harmonious combination of flavors. We also tried their canolo a la pistaccio and another pastry filled with nutella. The taste was ok, but incomparable to their famous sfogliatelle.

Cuori di Sfogliatella is a renowned bakery and cafe located just outside the station, offering a variety of traditional sweets including their flagship product, the well-made and balanced sfogliatelle. These pastries come in two types: sfogliatella riccia, characterized by thin, flaky layers of pastry dough shaped into a cone or clam-like form, and sfogliatella frolla.
This is a perfect place to pop into before and after your train/bus journey. The cakes in the fridges all look amazing. You can get a fresh coffee and have it at the bar like a local or sit outside in the hustle and bustle and watch the world go by. I had a warm sfogliatella that I’ve wanted to try for a long while, the Ragu… it didn’t disappoint. The lovely lady that served us spoke broken English and was extremely helpful, my Italian failed me when I was asked a question, essentially did I want it hot or cold 😂. Anyway, I’d definitely recommend a call in if you’re around.

Absolutely incredible sfogliatella! We stopped by Cori di Sfogliatelle near Piazza Garibaldi by the train station and were blown away. We tried the pistachio, baci, and chocolate — all were fresh, rich, and bursting with flavor. The texture was perfect, crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Honestly, the best sfogliatelle we've ever had. A must-visit if you're in Naples!

We didn't dine at this specific venue, but did grab breakfast and snacks at the branches in the Terminus station and Garibaldi square. The Sfogliatella are devine and we enjoyed the coffees. The staff in the Terminus station were very friendly.

The shop is in a great spot and right by the terminal. Visually, it’s very appealing. Clean, modern, and well-presented, it draws you in right away. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the setting. Staff were noticeably slow to serve, even though the shop wasn’t particularly busy at the time. It made the experience feel a bit frustrating, especially if you're short on time before a train or flight. As for the pastries: decent, but unremarkable. They looked good in the display but didn’t offer much in terms of flavor or freshness. Not bad, just not memorable. A convenient stop thanks to its location, but don’t expect much beyond that.

I decided to try all of them after seeing the crazy line to try these, but the staff is really really fast. and I ate the deserts in the plate and I felt great 😂 i even had two more before my flight . I got 10 fiocchi di neve with me, for my friends to try and I brought 5 of them home. I got them at 14:00 and I was home after my flight to Albania at 22:00. They can last for 10 hours without being refrigerated and three days refrigerated. I should have gotten more. After being refrigerated they tasted even better. I got just one with pistacchio but it was so good. It is worth the wait. They should have added one charging place cause with that line I lost my battery and I got what I wanted instead of communicating with my cousins to ask them what would they prefer.

Il Comandante ristorante, nestled on the upper floors of the elegant Romeo Hotel, has made a vibrant comeback under the creative guidance of chef Salvatore Bianco. The recent renovations have transformed both its aesthetic and culinary offerings, creating an inviting atmosphere adorned with sleek black tables accented by metallic details. Guests are greeted with refreshing citrus-infused water that evokes coastal breezes, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience.
Wow, simply wow! The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. The food was really tasty, very creative and also pleasing to the eye. (Plus, they give out quite a lot of free snacks). The view was stunning. Everything was just so unbelievably wonderful! Our whole experience at this restaurant was memorable and I can only recommend anyone who visits Naples to eat here. By the way we couldn’t make it to the reservation date and the nice staff simply rescheduled to another date for us. We were really happy with how understanding she responded.

A 5 star review to a restaurant that was reviewed by the top reviewers. Great experience transcending the food and providing a harmony and integrity of the Napolitano experience. Great dishes made to perfection and with flair and individual point of view. Service is impeccable and while very traditional its also friendly and attentive. Great views of the port and the bay of Napoli add to a one unforgettable experience.

I was in a one-star mood and the restaurant was close to my hotel, so I decided to test it out. Making reservations required guaranteeing with a credit card so instead I emailed them and they accepted my reservation. It is a great view of the bay of Naples for sure. My table was on the outdoor terrace and it was too windy so I asked to move inside. It looks like you have to walk thru the restaurant to get to the small rooftop pool but I could be mistaken. Everyone has been very friendly and professional befitting a high-end restaurant. They offered Champagne as an aperitif but I asked for an Americano. Not because I’m American :) but because I like Negronis very much and I didn’t want to jump straight to that strong of a cocktail. It wasn’t the best one I’ve had - too watery and too much ice. I like the background music. The Amuse Bouche was very well presented but not that tasty. Since I ate one Amuse Bouche out of the suggested order (my bad), they tried to clear them before I was done. They offered 3, 6, or 8 courses. Based on my experience so far, I decided to cut my losses and go for 3. I asked for wine pairings and they gladly supported. They were very accommodating with one food allergy I have. The fresh/warm bread with local butter & olive oil was well presented and delicious. The Americano got better towards the end :) The 5-Spice 65-degree egg with mozzarella first course wasn’t bad. The sommelier described and poured a local white to go with the egg course. Everyone spoke perfect English. The white wine was ok but not worth writing about. The waiter very professionally cleared the the crumbs after the first course. I unfortunately have a shellfish allergy. The second course was a rock fish and cuttlefish pasta. They assured me no shellfish was in it but as I started to eat it, my throat started to tingle and itch and I was clearly starting to have a reaction. I stopped, they apologized and went to prepare something else. Very gratuitous about it. I would recommend ordering a table at the window overlooking the bay! The replacement second course was delicious. It was a Ragu without meat but replicating the flavor with Japanese ingredients like miso, etc. The paired red wine was also excellent. I’m not a vegetarian but the second course also came with a meatless meatball. It was good but no one would mistake it for a meatball. This might be a good place for a business dinner (with a table at the window overlooking the bay). The WiFi appears to be only for hotel guests. But my 5G was wicked fast. The dessert which had kefir in it, which I like, was tasty but not super special. The dessert wine was hyper-sweet but I would try again with a dessert course. Thinking back, they were (probably unintentionally) stingy with the water. The surprise dessert was again beautifully presented but 2 of the 4 marinated fruit tasted off. I hope I’m ok tomorrow. :) The watermelon juice was very good. I am certainly stuffed. The restroom is on the first floor of the hotel, BTW. El Comandante, please don’t respond that you are displeased that I was displeased and that I should come back again. Your negatives detract from your positives. Not that you asked my opinion but I would keep most things the same and work on your less tasty dishes.

Pros: Wonderful staff. Very attentive. The focaccia was really really good. We were impressed by the spread they laid out for appetizer and dessert. Cons: I’m sure this place is someone’s cup of tea (I’ve seen the glowing reviews), but we are not those people. The food seemed inventive and honestly, a bit strange, just for the sake of it, or to see how “out of the box” they could go. We’ve had Michelin-starred food for much less $ and much better taste. My husband and I were given 2 different menus - while mine was personalized to remove my allergies (thoughtful touch!), mine also did not have prices included, only his did, which we didn’t appreciate. Perhaps this isn’t rare, but we’ve never seen it done, even at high-end restaurants. I also must mention - this place was truly ridiculously expensive. The wine was in the ballpark of 40 euros per glass at minimum. All in all, we would not return even for a free meal. Maybe we just have some simple tastes, but if you’re like us, you’ve been warned.

Most Memorable Dining Experience in Naples. Finest and creative Italian haute cuisine. Chef Salvatore Bianco has managed to perfectly combine the most surprising innovations with skills rooted in the Mediterranean tradition. The creativity, presentation and intense flavors of the dishes are the result of a deep knowledge of the region, long experience, research and creativity. From the open kitchen you can feel an excellent teamwork. Even in its elegant sophistication, the innovative Evoluzioni tasting menu inviting you to explore and accept the experience and feel the excellent ingredients. You go from dishes that spread new unknown flavours, to others who, soft and gentle, amaze and caress all the senses. It means that you are faced with something really deserving and intimate. The rabbit was amazing and we discovered a new way to enjoy the spaghetti and shellfish, the Green Zone were close to perfection. The only flaw, on the service, you must have the best and unfortunately we did not receive it. I’d suggest the women at the entrance to improve a more warm welcoming and not talk to each other so loud. Precious and valuable wine list.

Overall it was quite disappointing experience, medium value at very very high cost. We enjoyed the fanciness and the beautifully served dishes, but to be honest many of the dishes just weren't tasty. We even returned one dish (both of us) because we found it to be super salty. We ate in many restaurants far more tasty at fifth of the cost. We took the 6 course menu. Don't get mistaken the dishes are maybe not that big but you end up with a very full stomach. The starters were amazing, alas the really good things are always too small. The deserts were also very good. The other dishes were mediocre. The wine selection is interesting and exotic and the sommelier picked amazing wines for us. Bottom line not worth the price.

1 Michelin Star really deserved. Location unforgettable, amazing menu with local products and attentive and refined service. I loved the mise en place!
Silvia G — Google review
Quite uninspired cuisine, not deserving of their Michelin star. Off flavors abounded, from the not-quite-anything taste of the amuse-bouche to the school luncheon taste of the marinated fruits. The egg was good of course, but not memorable. No standard wine pairing was made available, so I asked for a recommendation. My mistake; the bottle they supplied was thoughtlessly chosen. I only had the three course menu, but I doubt more of their food would have helped their batting average. Good visuals though, a nice view of the sea and the food probably photographs well. Something for the Instagrammers maybe, but not for anyone who bothers to taste what they eat.

Augustus Napoli is a historic establishment located in the heart of Naples, dating back to 1927. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking sweet or savory treats. The flagship offering is the pastiera, available in a maxi version, but all traditional pastries like sfogliatella are also highly recommended. Augustus is known for its delicious food and friendly staff, making it a must-visit when exploring Naples.
Sfogliatella like if it had fallen out of heaven, right into my plate!
Hanna O — Google review
I tried my first sfogliatella here, and honestly, it was a letdown. It didn’t taste fresh at all. The coffee was just average but way overpriced—most places in Italy serve cappuccino for less than €2, but here it’s more expensive and nothing special. The atmosphere wasn’t great either; the place feels old and not very inviting to sit and enjoy. Overall, not a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Sepideh S — Google review
Chose this place for my first sfogliatelle breakfast in Naples after comparing some options. Wanted a seating place where I could get a coffee also. Typical Italian bar place where you pay your order then collect your coffee and pastries. Got one sfogliatelle, one mignon baba and an Americano for 5,40 Euro. The sfogliatelle was full of tasty filling but not warm. Coffee really good. Staff friendly but not over average welcoming. You sit outside right on the pedestrian zone and it's not a separated terrasse so expect to be passed by many people

The absolute best sfogliatella we ate in Naples!!! Served hot, the ricotta was amazing! Caffè is also great. Friendly staff. Such a shame we didn’t get a chance to come back for another sfogliatella. Complimenti!!
Priscilla H — Google review
I had the best experience here! I came for a coffee and was offered a lemon granita with tea by the boss, it’s apparently a Napoli specialty. I don’t understand why everyone here complains about bad service, everyone was so nice to us at the bar! Also, you need to understand that paying for a coffee at the bar vs sitting on the table are different prices in europe! If you can’t understand this then you’re going to think they have bad service but this is the norm. Augustus has really good cakes too, after all they’ve been around a long time! Do not leave without trying their baba and sfogliatelle, so delicious!

I was in Naples to create a report and material for my guided tours. At lunch I was looking for a local solution with which to have lunch as at home, order quickly and go back to the B&B to enjoy the lunch. I had an excellent eggplant parmesan and I bought an excellent bottle of sparkling wine prosecco. I also heard from some friends about her excellent desserts, especially the baba. Recommended if you are hungry and want to have a special experience: eat like a local!

Pasticceria Capriccio di Capparelli R. is a renowned pastry shop located in via Carbonara, just a few steps from Via Foria in Naples. It is famous for preparing the best baba in the city, available in classic or filled versions. The pastry shop is popular among locals and Neapolitan industrialists who enjoy a delicious break at this establishment. In addition to great coffee and pastries, it offers a nice outdoor seating area.

I was eating my pastry, and, towards the end, I noticed about 2cm of tinfoil at the bottom, right in the middle of the filling. I told the man who worked at the cash register, to which he replied “It was just a bit of the butter packaging that accidentally went into the cream” after that he said sorry, no refunds, no discount, nothing. He got someone to tell the chef but that was about it. I’m happy I noticed it, because I would’ve eaten it otherwise. Food wasn’t that great either.

So many pastries to choose from! My Airbnb was just up the street from here and I walked by every day debating whether or not to go inside. When I finally relented, I ended up ordering the zeppole and delizia al limone since I read that those are some of the must-try desserts in Naples (aside from sfogliatelle, which I had eaten plenty of by this time). Together, they cost less than 7 euros (which I was so surprised about, given how large they were!) and packaged beautifully. They were almost too pretty to eat! But I did and both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Leopoldo Infante is a renowned cafe and pastry shop with multiple locations in Naples, including Via L. Giordano, Via Scarlatti, Via V. Colonna, Via Toledo, and Via Benedetto Croce. The establishment offers a blend of traditional Neapolitan taralli 'nzogna and pepper alongside modern cafe bar offerings.
On Via Toledo 8 you will find one of Leopoldo Infante cafe bars. it has a small balcony outside where you can enjoy their great coffee and cakes. The coffee is made to perfection and the variety of cakes is amazing. We've tried the babà in a glass - a typical neapolitan cake served in a glass, different types of sfogliatelle - authentic cake made of thin pastry leaves and creamy filling and the best was pistachio filled cannoli. The cafebar is highly recommended

This was the breakfast spot provided by our hotel, Mirabilis Relais. We made it a habit to visit regularly in the morning. Due to its limited space, the place was often crowded. The menu featured a wide selection of sweets, including pastries, croissants, and various desserts, along with coffee and fresh juices. However, savory options were scarce—sandwiches were nowhere to be found, and taralli was the only non-sweet item available.
Ankur V — Google review
A nice pastry and gelato place. Pistachio gelato was a bit salty and good, the tiramisu quite tasteless. The service was fairly tired of tourists like me - “just take your cone and leave us alone” kind of. Supporting Gaza in the entrance added a political pinch to the culinary experience

Good coffee bar with good solid pastries. A good alternative if you can't get to a better pastry shop. Their best is the nut covered hazelnut praline cream on a pastry dough. A lighter version of the Paris Brest.

Dessert heaven! They have beautifully decorated cakes and a lot of pastry options. There are large or normal sized pastries as well as miniature pastries. We didn't notice the mini ones until after we bought the large ones. They have mini pastries that they sell by the kilo which I would have loved to get for friends and family if I had space in my luggage. Everything in the shop including tables and chairs were in black and pink.. lovely shop.. service was decent . Have had better service

Tarallificio Leopoldo is a renowned spot in Naples where you can indulge in the traditional Italian snack known as taralli. These ring-shaped biscuits are made with a simple dough of flour, olive oil, white wine, and salt, giving them a crispy outer shell and slightly chewy interior. Terrible terrible service, cheap prices but pastries that didn't taste as great as I had hoped for. I went there at about 12.00 on a weekday and nobody was in the shop. The woman in the shop (the owner maybe?) was talking on the photo but saw me. Then she started to completely ignore me! I thought that maybe she had an important phone call and she would hang up soon as a customer just entered. NOPE! She continued to speak for a minute, looked at me a few times and continued to ignore me. Terrible service! As I was about to leave, one of the chefs saw what was happening and came out. He look at me, looked at her in disbelief and motioned for her to help me. She continued to ignore me and kept talking on the phone. So he was kind and helped me despite not knowing English. The pastry I bought? Decent but nothing special. Would give it a 3 out of 5.

Horrible experience. Avoid at all costs! I ordered a coffee and a cappuccino at the counter. The bartender looked at me, then started chatting with a girl and proceeded to work on loading the dishwasher. After more than five minutes of waiting, I asked, and the bartender arrogantly and rudely told me that if I didn’t want to wait, I could ask for a refund. P.S. At the counter, the manager didn’t back me up and gave me less than what I had paid! In short, rude and deceitful staff. I believe a major brand like Scaturchio has the responsibility to select adequate personnel.

Awful experience in my own neighborhood. They opened here on the hill years ago and today for the first time I went there to buy some traditional pastries that my family likes for this time of the year. Unfortunately, I found out despite having the same brand, this place has nothing to do with the place elsewhere in town where I usually buy my pastries from. But the very sad thing about this place is that they have no respect for people stopping by for a coffee or a cappuccino. Unless you’re willing to pay for a table outside be prepared to be treated poorly. It’s NOT living up for the standard of Napoli.

This is the good stuff! Found the place by accident while walking in the neighbourhood, and the beautiful pastries in the window immediately triggered my pastry radar. I am a self-proclaimed pastry snob and I know high quality pastry when I see one, and this place is a temple of great pastry! The baba was the best I had in Napoli, and all the small pastries tried were delicious. My only regret is to not have tried more of them. I particularly enjoyed the mini format. Prices were also surprisingly good for that level of quality! We even found out a few days later that one of the very good restaurants we ate at (Januarius ) was sourcing the desserts on its menu from there, which says a lot about the quality of this pastry shop!

Good pastry and sweets. Overpriced, 6.50€ for a pastry, don’t come here if you want a fair price. We are Italians.

The staff is very friendly, and what I like about their delicacies is that they carter in small amount ,so you get to try a wide variety in one tray you order. in other Pasticceria they serve in big amount so just trying one makes you full and loss appetite to try the other delicacies. I highly recommend to try them , oh and the dolce is so delicious

Angelo Carbone is a local favorite for its great coffee and fresh sfoglia, offering a more authentic experience compared to touristy spots. The pastries are not only delicious but also half the price of other places. With a spacious interior and both indoor and outdoor seating, it's a clean and welcoming environment. Visitors appreciate the friendly service and often make it their regular breakfast or lunch stop.

Very bad attitude, we were served cappuccino already cold. It seems that the prepare the coffees in advance and they just add some hit milk upon client order. Quality of food barely mediocre

My favorite pizzeria in Napoli and the one I always recommend to friends visiting the city. They have an amazing variety, great options, and their pizza is absolute heaven! 🍕❤️

first time in my life i try the Pizza from the country where it's introduced to the Modern World. and Specially the Taste of Authentic Margarita Pizza is still same. plain thin cheese pizza with basic tomato sauce and a touch of Basil. i really like the taste and service. 100 out of 100 price is also Cheap and in your budget. so must try once.
Brijesh S — Google review
Pizzas were great and service was fast. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that the sides we ordered were terrible. The zucchini flowers lacked flavour (besides the taste of old fryer oil), and the mozzarella and tomato salad was not good (mainly due to the baffling inclusion of iceberg lettuce and corn).
S K — Google review
I only ate 1 pizza in Napoli, and it was here. I don't know if it's better than other places around, but compared to other cities in Italy... this is the best pizza! Simple and traditional pizzas. Hope to come back again. (There is a pizza in Sardignia that competes for top spot... :))) )

Casa Infante is a renowned gelateria in Naples known for its long-standing pastry tradition and exceptional artisanal gelato. The establishment has gained recognition for its innovative flavors, including options like "pane, burro e marmellata" (buttercream with toasted bread and organic apricot jam) and "bianco bosco" (white chocolate cream with forest raspberry jam and Modica chocolate).
Great spot to grab a top-quality gelato on the go! Casa Infante offers a wide variety of interesting and delicious flavours, perfect for a quick treat while exploring Naples
Robert S — Google review
A high quality pastry & ice cream shop with lots of different branches around the city of Naples, from the house of Leopoldo Cafe. In this branch we had our quick breakfast on the bar including an espresso. For pastries we order one donut filled with vanilla cream inside (which had just the right amount of cream that was exploded out of the dough as soon as we took a bite, and it wasn't too sweet which is not obvious for vanilla cream in my opinion), a classic sfogliatella (super crunchy and delicious) and a mini tartelette filled with vanilla custard and topped with some mini strawberries. All of the pastries were super fresh and delicious, so I consider this place a great option if you love your sweet pastries and looking for a decent cafe in Naples!
Maya I — Google review
I stopped by Casa Infante late one evening and was pleasantly surprised to find them open. I originally went in for gelato, which turned out to be absolutely delicious, but I noticed they also offer a nice selection of pastries, sandwiches, coffee, and other snacks and drinks. It’s a cute little spot with a warm, inviting vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to help, and the prices were very reasonable. A great find—I’ll definitely be back!
Eric F — Google review
We wanted to try their babka and the experience was just terrible. Ok it was long to sit us and bring coffee, but the dessert with strawberries was awful - strawberries were tiny, rotten and had leaves, looked totally unwashed.
Varvara O — Google review
This place is a scam. They sell you a melting ice cream for €3.50/piece, and when you want to eat it at the table, they want €1.5 extra. I'm sorry, there's not much else to say. They didn't offer anything extra, just demanded more money. The ice cream melted in the meantime so it was hard to eat it and avoid stains on the clothing.
Radek Z — Google review
There are some unique quality choices and they are friendly. However, no real structure in ordering and getting Gelato. It was easy for others to cut in front of us.
Deven — Google review
We have had a lot of gelato whilst in Italy, this is one of the best. Really good and interesting range of flavours and not expensive.
Mo B — Google review
Disgraceful place, paid for gelato and sat at the tables outside. Server was with another table then instead of coming over to myself and my husband to tell us politely that we can’t sit there unless we pay extra, he yells at us while he’s still at their table, which made all the customers look at us. Paying extra for sitting down wouldn’t have been a problem, it’s just the fact that he did it so rudely and on top of that, he told another lady sitting down eating her gelato that she doesn’t have to pay extra to sit down. Why the different treatment? Absolutely shocking. If I could give zero stars I would.

We ordered a sfolliatella in the morning and it was definitely from other day as it was very hard to bite (even if the bartender warm it before). The place is amazing as is an old cafe but it’s a pity that they don’t have fresh pastry. Very dissatisfied as I had big expectations.

For me as an espresso enthusiast Naples is a paradise. In all the cafes I went to, there was only amazing coffee to taste. But the sweetest with that aromatic touch of chocolate flavor I found at Gran Caffè Cimmino just next to the beautiful Galeria Umberto. It was just so tasty. Very kind service too!

Menu arrived with no prices, when we asked the waiter was indifferent, another waitress came, she was vague with prices and what you food you got for your money. Anyway we persisted and food came, the salad was plentiful, the chicken scarce and the potatoes came well before main dish. The chicken burger was a patty no bun and the sides were a small spoonful of each. The bathroom was a concern both toilets blocked and staff were not interested in helping us sort the problem so we could use the facilities. This is not a tourist friendly restaurant despite being near lots of tourist attractions. Won’t visiting again

The most terrible tiramisu we ever ate. Half was egg white. It cream. No cafe taste and served frozen. The other cake we ate was way too sweet. Don’t eat there.

We had a very disappointing experience at this café. After our meal, we were left waiting over 20 minutes just to pay the bill. When we politely asked if they could at least recognize the inconvenience with a small discount, they refused without any apology. The staff seemed indifferent and unprofessional. With so many great cafés in Naples, I definitely wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here.

Authentic Italian Gelato at Men nella Vomero: A Delicious Stop in Naples If you are visiting the Vomero neighborhood and searching for where to find traditional Italian gelato, Men nella Vomero is a fantastic option. This charming gelateria offers a genuine experience with creamy textures and flavors that reflect the art of real Italian craftsmanship. I had the chance to taste their pistachio and mennela flavors. Both were truly enjoyable. The pistachio was rich and nutty with a smooth finish that felt natural and satisfying. The mennela had a delicate almond taste with a lovely creaminess that complemented the pistachio perfectly. I would rate the overall tasting experience a strong eight out of ten. The location is inviting and clean, and the service was friendly and efficient. Whether you are a local or a visitor exploring Vomero, Men nella Vomero is a great stop for high quality gelato made with passion and care.

The Romeo Hotel in Naples offers a modern and minimalist five-star experience, standing out with its smooth glass facade and chic rooftop pool bar. The hotel features 79 luxury rooms with views of the Gulf of Naples, some equipped with Teuco whirlpool baths and FontanaArte lighting. The Lite Life - Wellness & Spa is a top wellness center in downtown Naples, known for its exquisite therapies and contemporary design.
Had an incredible stay at the Romeo Hotel in Naples. The rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable with beautiful bathrooms and thoughtful touches throughout. The location is a bit urban, but fantastic for walking to the port for your cruise ship or ferry. We dined at their Michelin starred restaurant, every morning for breakfast and it was truly exceptional. The eggs Benedict with the thinnest crispiest bacon was outstanding and the espresso drinks were perfection. Dinner was also an unforgettable experience, with top tier service throughout. Chef Alan is a master. The spa, which is included with the stay, was another highlight. Beautifully designed and so relaxing. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming. Cannot wait to come back.

We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and were there for 2 nights last week. The hotel is sleek and modern with a very classy design. The room had a very cool design with a glass enclosed shower and bathroom. We had a huge window overlooking the port and Bay of Naples. The pool area on the 10th floor is amazing with an infinity edge overlooking the bay plus loungers, sun umbrellas and a bar with light snacks. The breakfast in the fine dining restaurant was perfect with more large windows, stunning views, excellent food and a very professional staff. On our anniversary day we relaxed by the pool for awhile in the afternoon. When we got to our room the staff had sent us a bottle of champagne in a bucket of ice with a handwritten note of congratulations! It was a nice surprise and really made us feel special. All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you!

This is a beautiful hotel right across from the cruise terminal and ferry terminal in Naples. 5 star hotel with outstanding spa, rooms, comfort and infinity pool. The room was modern and so comfortable! Also, the mini bar and all of its content were complimentary, including the beer, liquor and snacks. We were also greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine and luxury desserts that were a cherry on top. The only downside to our stay here was that we only had one night. Great spot!!
Jimma L — Google review
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the port, attractions, and many restaurants. The area feels safe, which is a definite plus. However, the hotel design is quite dysfunctional. The rooms are cluttered with unnecessary features, the water pressure is weak, and the TV and internet connections don’t work properly. On top of that, the electronics and lighting system are unnecessarily complicated, making simple things like turning on a light frustrating. The rooftop view is beautiful, but the restaurant at the top is underwhelming. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was friendly, which helped improve the overall experience. One unpleasant surprise was a €40 “discretionary tipping service” added to our bill. It felt excessive for a single night, though it was removed when we asked. For the high price, the hotel doesn’t meet expectations. In North America, it would be comparable to a basic Holiday Inn — just with a better view. Aside from the location and view, everything else was mediocre and overpriced. ⭐ Rating: 3/5
Rock 8 — Google review
Our stay at Hotel Romeo in Naples was absolutely disappointing. The photos on the website are misleading — the room we received looked completely different in reality. The hotel has extremely illogical and non-transparent pricing policies. Rates fluctuate strangely depending on the day of the week and occupancy, without any prior notice or explanation. The staff was unprofessional and constantly made mistakes with our orders. Nothing was understood the first time — we had to repeat everything at least twice. The restaurant staff consistently got at least one item wrong with every order. Hygiene was below any acceptable standard. The room was dusty, toiletries were not replenished, and towels were not replaced regularly. You expect a much higher level of service from a hotel in this category. What was especially concerning is that they lost the copies of our IDs, which they themselves had taken upon check-in — a serious breach of data privacy. On departure, we requested a car with a large trunk due to our heavy luggage, but they sent a small vehicle that barely fit our bags. Overall, our stay was stressful and unpleasant. The hotel does not live up to its high rating and pricing. We would not return and do not recommend it.
Fany M — Google review
A wonderful and stunning hotel. Very tastefully designed, beautiful facilities and overall great service. A big surprise was the insanely good gym (very impressive equipment - best hotel gym I have ever seen by far) and the spa which was a mindblowing experience. Super impressed!

We had a fantastic stay at the Romeo, for one night, on our way from Napoli to Praiano (via Positano). It was booked on Hilton HHonors points, and I'm more than happy with the value for bed-and-breakfast. It's a great location if getting a ferry - only about a 5 minute walk. It's also a good location for exploring Napoli. The rooms are very modern - some reviews make that a negative, but we thought the tech and the design were outstanding, including the room layout. The top-floor pool was also great, and the bar-service while we had a few hours there was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in a while.
Patrick B — Google review
This hotel is major click bait for the price. The rooms try to be fancy but ends up tacky, it feels run down but its not, i think its the quality of materials used. For almost 1000 euros a night, You will not get what you pay. Unless you want the convenience of being across the port. Still overpriced, wouldn’t stay here with the same price point. Dont get me wrong its good but not worth over paying

I had breakfast here twice whilst staying at Palazzo Gozye down the road. The first time was great but the second time, one of the barista’s completely ignored me so after the third time of asking for my espresso, I walked out. Such a shame as the rest of the staff are so friendly and the sfogliatelle and coffee were great.

We had coffee in this shop yesterday and were greeted by two young gentlemen. The coffee is of good quality and we are very satisfied. So we stopped by today for another visit. We asked for caffe shakerato and the older waiter brought me Caffè e panna. After we pointed out it wasn't what we were looking for, he said it was this. We took out the photo of the caffe shakerato we drank yesterday, and he did it for us without saying a word. While paying, an accident happened. The price of the caffe shakerato we drank at the bar yesterday was 2.5€, but today they charged us 3.5€. (We have been standing at the bar all the time) After we showed the comparison between yesterday's receipt and today's, we explained for a while before they refunded the difference to us. They didn't apologize and had a bad attitude. The coffee was good and the waiter was good yesterday, but the attitude and behavior of the waiter today was disappointing.

Italian hot chocolate was basically pure ganache. Somehow it does taste like hot chocolate, but super thick and sweet. It's quite good though. It's rare to have dark chocolate done sweet, much less this sweet The chocolate box is very expensive, I didn't realise if you got a box you must order the whole box (400g for 24euros). But it's the real deal. Super intense flavours for all of them, plus very well balanced. It's superb, and a cut above the rest.

I cannot express how incredible our wedding cake was. We eloped in Positano and stopped here to pick up our wedding cake after landing in Napoli. I want to preface this by saying I am not a “cake person” and mostly ordered a small wedding cake for photos. I could NOT stop eating this cake. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most delicious cake I’ve ever eaten. The chef used fresh strawberries from their garden to make the most delicious strawberry cake. (Translated by Google) I didn't like the ancient Neapolitan Ciccolateria. I would like to point out that I am not criticizing the quality of their products but only the location. For those who don't know, this Ciccolateria is located in rooms facing the road, more precisely in some garage rooms in a park located in Via dell'Epomeo. The bad thing I found was that in the same premises there is a car garage and also another business that I don't remember, and it was all very dirty full of cigarette butts, dark and everything smelled of exhaust fumes. In short, nothing made me want to go in and buy some chocolate. I repeat, my negative experience only concerns the location and not the products on the market. The young staff was kind and professional, the older ones I couldn't define. Prices a little high, good chocolate but not of the highest quality. Well-executed products show experience and professionalism. Personally, I wouldn't go back to that location.

Nestled conveniently on Via Toledo, Mary’s Room stands out as a delightful haven for those with a penchant for sfogliatella. While Pintauro has its place in the pastry scene, many prefer Mary’s for its perfectly crafted buttery crust that isn’t greasy, complemented by a crunchy riccia and indulgent filling. The friendly service adds to the warm atmosphere of this charming spot. Mary's Room itself is an immaculate and spacious apartment recently refurbished to offer modern comforts right in the heart of Naples.
I had a wonderful stay at Mary's Room in Naples! The host was excellent—very welcoming, responsive, and made everything easy. The apartment itself was in excellent condition: clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location is also fantastic, close to everything you need and perfect for exploring the city. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Naples!
Carmine C — Google review
This is a large and immaculate newly refurbished apartment in the centre of Naples, with air-conditioning in the bedroom. The shower is pure luxury with jets down the side as well as enormous shower head. The only problem is lack of kitchen utensils for cooking. It really needs some cutting knives (there is only a bread knife) and a frypan, spatula and can opener. If you're not planning on doing much cooking, this apartment is perfect and excellent value.

The heating is made up of 2 air conditioners which cannot be turned on at the same time as the electricity meter jumps and they do not give off heat but cold air despite having set them on heat and leaving them running for more than 30 minutes. It is not equipped with double windows and for this reason it is also colder. There was no stove in the bathroom. The entrance door on the floor has an old and very difficult lock, to open it you have to call the host. Coffee cup mats were missing in the kitchen for coffee lovers. Under the bed was not cleaned. I express my discontent, I thank and say goodbye as I go to a new structure with functioning heating.. I received a refund from the host of €15.00 compared to €74.58 and a refund from the bank of €30.00. By bus (unfortunately at a cost of 5 euros per person) you can arrive from the airport in about ten minutes. The apartment is easy to find. Excellently finished and maintained. Large, clean bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with all the necessary comforts. The only note is no TV (to be precise, it wasn't present on the booking site either) but for those like us who spent three days wandering around non-stop this is a lack of no account. Added value is the friendly and kind landlady always ready to give directions and make us feel at ease. Highly recommended!!! Pasticceria Vincenzo Bellavia is a renowned pastry shop that can be found in the central station of Naples, situated near the tracks and across from the pharmacy. Despite its relatively small size, the place exudes a welcoming atmosphere and is well-maintained. The shop offers an array of both sweet and savory treats. Visitors have praised their stuffed baba paired with coffee, expressing satisfaction with the generous portion of rum in the baba and the quality of espresso served.
