Gran Caffè Gambrinus, a 19th-century coffee house located near via Toledo and Plebiscito Square in Naples, is a historical gem that has stood the test of time. Adorned with statues, paintings, and frescos by renowned Italian artists, this elegant café is steeped in literary history and known for its role in popularizing the concept of 'suspended coffee.'
We had a wonderful experience at Cambrinus in Naples. The lemon sorbet was refreshing, the cappuccino was great, and we also tried a delicious local specialty filled with ham and cheese. Everything was very tasty, including the tea. The atmosphere felt like being in a museum – so beautiful and elegant. We were given a lovely table right by the window, and the staff provided excellent service. Truly a memorable visit!🫶🏼

The food was generous, rich in flavor and the patisserie crunchy and sweet, the waiters don’t really seem to enjoy their gig, but that’s pretty avg in Napoli (or Italy). In spite of that, the service is fast as almost everything just needs to be warmed up. Coffee is great and fresh OJ is a little ray of sunshine trough the overall experience.
Carlos L — Google review
They have on of the best pastries in Italy. But the service could be better and the place could be taken care better. We went there twice, one time for breakfast and other for an afternoon coffee. On both occasions the service was pretty average. The coffee nothing special, but the pastries. Perfection! The best of all was the sfogliatella, nice layers of perfect crust with a filling that wasn't too sweet. I recommend for a good pastry treat in Naples.
Thiago B — Google review
Centrally located, prime spot for people watching and beautiful building. This is by far one of the best espresso we had during our trip in Italy. So good that we went back 3 times in total during our visit in Naples. The pastries were great too.. as for the service as expected during high season. Fatigue, not very friendly.. probably sick of tourists like us and under staff given they didn't open a section of the restaurant and would rather have customers wait in the queue. Worth a visit.. just don't expect much from the service. Pastries and espresso.. definitely Yes! Absolutely love their menu, photos and descriptions. Perfect!!
Jackie S — Google review
Great spot for breakfast, we came here a couple of times. Fantastic people watching and great location to sit and enjoy your morning food. Coffee is good, pastries are fresh and delicious and the staff are brilliant. It is a touch on the pricey side for Naples but it is worth it. The selection of drinks is probably the most substantial of all the spots we went to in Naples. One thing I will say is I stopped off for a late afternoon Sfogliatella and unlike in the morning which was brilliant this time it had very obviously been sat for many hours and the filling had gone a bit past its best so I would recommend if you want the pastries go at breakfast when they have just been made as they are brilliant. I had the best pain au chocolat of my life here
Samuel K — Google review
We stopped by this café and it was such a delightful experience! The coffee was excellent, their pastries were fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is charming and elegant. The staff were very kind and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy authentic Italian coffee and dessert in a beautiful setting.
Oumaima O — Google review
Gran Caffè Gambrinus is a place that leaves a lasting impression with just a single cup of coffee. I stopped by briefly for one espresso — the “strapazzato” — and that short moment completely redefined what coffee means to me. Though I spent no more than five minutes there, the depth, aroma, and intensity of that cup made time feel suspended. It wasn’t just about caffeine; it was about heritage, craftsmanship, and emotion in a cup. It’s rare to find a place where such a simple experience feels so profound. I know that even if I return years later, that brief memory — and the anticipation of tasting it again — will stay with me for a very long time.
Dave — Google review
An interesting place and very unusual because of the way you place your order. First, you go to the counter, order from the cashier and then you go to the bar or the pastry section. It can be very confusing for tourists because there are no signs explaining what to do or how it works. My recommendation is to first take a look at all the cake names and then go to the counter. All in all, the coffee is excellent and the cakes are unbelievably beautiful and delicious. Definitely a place you must visit!

Scaturchio is a historic pasticceria in Naples, dating back to 1905 and known as the city's oldest. It is famous for its traditional Neapolitan pastries, including the iconic pastiera, a sweet semolina tart filled with orange blossom flavored ricotta made from a century-old recipe. The Ministeriale is another must-try specialty—a dark chocolate disk with creamy liqueur, ricotta, and hazelnut filling that was created in 1919.
Shockingly good! You can tell the dough is well & long fermented, rose properly. Everything I had was so good, I did go there in the morning around 8 am. But the quality of bread & pastries are top!! The donuts was one of the best I ever had. And I did eat tons of donuts in my life. It is all fermentation ❤️

⭐ Pasticceria Giovanni Scaturchio – The true taste of Naples! ⭐ This historic pastry shop is an authentic gem for anyone who loves Neapolitan tradition. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by the aroma of fresh pastry and sweet cream. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile. We tried the famous sfogliatella and the iconic baba al rum — both were simply delicious, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The place has a nostalgic charm that takes you back in time to the old Naples. Definitely worth a stop, whether you grab a pastry to go or sit down for a coffee while watching the lively rhythm of the city. A must-visit for anyone who wants to taste real Neapolitan sweetness! ☕🍮🇮🇹
Marina S — Google review
In a previous post, I mentioned that I let my son have gelato 🍨 without me in Napoli 🇮🇹. Of course there was a good reason for that. I was planning on having baba at Scaturchio! As you probably know, there is alcohol in baba, so my son couldn't have any. Baba is a Napoletan specialty. Well, it's also a French 🇫🇷 specialty and a Polish 🇵🇱 specialty. 😅 I read a lot about baba and its origin, and the most common theory is that it's a babka to which Stohrer (a pastry chef in Paris) added rhum to make it less dry for the French king. This was then brought to Napoli by the French and this is where it became popular. Of course I was not there at the time and everybody has a different version of this story. So don't get mad at me if yours differs, that's just the one that makes the most sense in MY opinion. 😇 I like baba a lot for 2 reasons: 1) I don't eat it often 2) it was one of my grand-mother's 🥰 favorites. That said, I think it's very hard to achieve a good baba. You need to find a good balance between sweet and alcohol in the syrup and you need to make sure the dough is moist enough so the syrup travels properly through it, but not too much so it doesn't fall apart. I think this one was close to perfect, if not perfect. 👍 The tart my wife had was not good, though, unfortunately. 👎 Plus it came broken and it was crazy expensive (€6 as opposed to €3.5 for the baba 😳). The total price was quite high, €15 for 2 coffees and 2 pastries, but we sat at a terrace in the middle of the tourist area so that was to be expected. 🤷 The service was kind of slow but correct. Now I need to go back there to try all the other types of baba cause that was just the classic one and they have lots of fancy ones! 😋 Quality & taste: 7/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 7/10 Service: 7/10 How I felt afterwards: 7/10
Mathieu M — Google review
We took few different cakes and all tasted very nicely, they were not too sweet, coffee was very good as well. Definitely nice place with climate. Re different cakes it was all explained on the piece of paper with pictures so there was no confusion when ordering them.
Feliz P — Google review
Went twice, got the sfogialata frolla and cannoli the first time and the sfogialata riccia the second time. I recomment the sfogialata riccia, very crunchy on the outside, warm, soft and creamy on the inside. The cannoli shell was too thick, not recommended. I really wanted to try their neapolitan pasteria but they dont sell it by slice and since i was alone, it didnt make sense to buy an entire pie. Price to quality is amazing, must have it for breakfast when in naples, like a true Italian
Fatima F — Google review
It's good, but the prices are too high, let alone for Southern Italy. It felt like a tourist trap to be honest, since there are much better places where you can spend literally less than half. The pastiera was good (but 6 EUR for a slice seems WAY too much), and the frittatina di pasta too (4 EUR). The thing is that none of them blew my mind, they were good but quite standard. There are much better places in more hidden streets such as Pasticceria Pascal. I would recommend it if you're visiting Napoli for the first time, since you must have a breakfast at Scartuchio... But probably wouldn't come here if you're looking for an authentic place where local people go.
Martín S — Google review
Tried to find a place to grab some sweets for us to save for breakfast the next day for an early flight. This was one of the only ones open with options left in the case. We grabbed the caprese cake and the lemon option as well, Sfogliatella, and frolla…. The cakes were to die for!!! So moist even the next day. Definitely recommend stopping in here for your sweet tooth! They even wrapped everything up to-go very nicely
Alsi — Google review
Napoli one of the oldest and best reputed pastry shop since 1905. We have two sfogliatela and two napolitana. They are massive big so one and one to share are enough. Delicate pasta outside and inside is fill with a creamy texture similar to crema pastelera. Really nice both. If you need a punch of energy it’s a great options. The accept credit card as some of the smaller shop don’t. The picture is not completely accurate as i remember token when we eat most of the pastries.

Il Vero Bar del Professore is a renowned espresso bar and cafe located near the charming Piazza del Plebscito in Naples. Managed by Raffaele Ferrieri, this family-run establishment has been serving up traditional Neapolitan coffee with a touch of innovation for over forty years. The cafe offers an extensive selection of coffee variants, including their famous hazelnut coffee, which has become a must-try for both locals and tourists.
A great little cafe right in the heart of Naples. Very, very busy and a great spot for flaneurs.

We came for an after lunch treat and espresso. Enjoyed a sfogliatella and Cafe del Nonno at their bar. Was quick, fun and delicious! The sfogliatelle was not warm and already opened in the middle but still shatteringly crisp and had a delicious orange flavor in the ricotta
Siti S — Google review
We took take-away coffee because we had to go to a pizza making course. Normal coffee. Courteous staff, very fast service and normal price.
Stella P — Google review
It’s super located for a after opera drink ( needed to flex that I been cultural sorry). They had a really interesting looking cocktail on the menu. It’s called their ‘special’ or something. I can tell you: it’s strong! Definitely have one of you like to go and enjoy the night after. Great drink but pushy waiter that gave the bill with the drinks and adding “AND my tip”. Totally rude and really doesn’t do your business any good. Would have come back every evening if we didn’t have to get to hear when getting our drink. The strength of the drink made me forget about it though.
Nicky — Google review
Attention! Tourist trap! I don't understand why they charge different prices for takeaway and on-site food. We were seated, all items were at least one euro more expensive. The coffee was good, but otherwise we were dissatisfied. The gentleman gave us the bill and then quickly took it without even letting us check it properly! The bill was definitely not well made!
Jessica P — Google review
Definitely NOT recommended! Very unfriendly service and comparatively expensive. We had two coffees. Suddenly, we were prompted to pay by the bill being placed on the table. The waiter then wouldn't leave and stood closely behind me. We had the exact change, but they refused to accept our bill (a 5 Euro note from an older series (obviously still valid)). Following this, the waiter raised his voice and initially didn't want to let us leave. Not a nice experience.
Magdalena K — Google review
Do not come to this place. They charged us 8 euro for two coffees (espresso and latte on the terrace). They were surprised when we told them that we do not have cash and were super unfriendly because of that, one of the waiters literally threw the receipt at me 🥶

Gran Caffè Cimmino, established in 1907 and still located on Via Filangeri, is a popular spot for locals, students, and tourists alike. The elegant café offers a variety of pastries, desserts, and small pizzas alongside its renowned coffee and tea. It's also known for its delightful afternoon aperitifs.

Good food, amazing service. The servers were very kind and helpful. Also the location is a sight to behold. There is a view of the sea with the mountains in the background.

We ordered a sfolliatella in the morning and it was definitely from other day as it was very hard to bite (even if the bartender warm it before). The place is amazing as is an old cafe but it’s a pity that they don’t have fresh pastry. Very dissatisfied as I had big expectations.
Rafa T — Google review
For me as an espresso enthusiast Naples is a paradise. In all the cafes I went to, there was only amazing coffee to taste. But the sweetest with that aromatic touch of chocolate flavor I found at Gran Caffè Cimmino just next to the beautiful Galeria Umberto. It was just so tasty. Very kind service too!
Erkan Y — Google review
Menu arrived with no prices, when we asked the waiter was indifferent, another waitress came, she was vague with prices and what you food you got for your money. Anyway we persisted and food came, the salad was plentiful, the chicken scarce and the potatoes came well before main dish. The chicken burger was a patty no bun and the sides were a small spoonful of each. The bathroom was a concern both toilets blocked and staff were not interested in helping us sort the problem so we could use the facilities. This is not a tourist friendly restaurant despite being near lots of tourist attractions. Won’t visiting again
Emma R — Google review
The most terrible tiramisu we ever ate. Half was egg white. It cream. No cafe taste and served frozen. The other cake we ate was way too sweet. Don’t eat there.
DR A — Google review
We had a very disappointing experience at this café. After our meal, we were left waiting over 20 minutes just to pay the bill. When we politely asked if they could at least recognize the inconvenience with a small discount, they refused without any apology. The staff seemed indifferent and unprofessional. With so many great cafés in Naples, I definitely wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here.
Philippe B — Google review
We ordered 2 club sandwich and a napolitan panino, 1 beer, 1 glass of wine and an ice tea peach. The club sandwich came without bacon nor fries, as it was mentioned. 32€ for 3 sandwiches… don’t go there!

Bakery
Poppella, a family-owned pastry shop established in 1920 and located in the Rione Sanita, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The third generation now manages this renowned establishment, which expanded to a second branch near several famous landmarks. Poppella is known for its signature Fiocco di Neve, a brioche bun filled with secret cream, as well as other delectable treats like Calice di San Gennaro and Bombetta di Toto.
The sweetest experience in Naples! FIOCCO DI NEVE is the bakery original signature dish (and this very branch is where its journey started).

I came across this in a special guidebook about Naples, and on our last day, we went for a little pastry, and I'm glad we did. Tiny little place, the guy sat behind the counter, smoking, asked us if we wanted to try something delicious, and then he just handed us a fresh little bun filled with pork and egg. It was piping hot and so delicious. We had two little pastries as well. We sat in this very simple family run place and had a little piece feel of what naples is about. Wouldn't travel across town, but it was an 800m walk from our place and well worth it.

Justin A — Google review
Nestled in the heart of Naples, "Poppella Pasticceria" stands as a timeless testament to the art of sweet confections. With roots tracing back to the year 1920, this quaint and storied shop has been enchanting locals and visitors alike for generations. During our unforgettable holiday in Naples, we were fortunate enough to have stumbled upon this hidden gem, thanks to a recommendation from a friendly local. The selection of treats was impressive, offering a mix of traditional and contemporary delights that catered to various tastes. The air was filled with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked sweets, an olfactory symphony that beckoned us further into this confectionery wonderland. The sweets were undeniably fresh and scrumptious, leaving us with a delightful burst of Italian flavors in every bite. The pastries were tender, the cakes moist, and the chocolates velvety smooth. Each treat offered a delightful dance of textures and flavors, leaving us in awe of the craftsmanship behind these delectable creations. However, amidst the enchanting sweetness, we encountered a few hiccups that dampened the experience. The shop, understandably popular, was bustling with eager customers, resulting in an overcrowded atmosphere that made maneuvering a bit challenging. The ordering process proved to be somewhat chaotic, with the enthusiastic crowd adding to the confusion. Moreover, the staff appeared to be overwhelmed by the constant rush, leading to a less than friendly service. Although we understood the demands of running such a popular establishment, the lack of warmth in the interactions was a minor disappointment amidst the sweetness that enveloped us. Nonetheless, any bitterness we may have felt from the service was quickly forgotten with each subsequent bite of the divine treats. The allure of "Poppella Pasticceria" was undeniable, and the unforgettable flavors lingered on our palates, leaving us with cherished memories of this sweet haven in Naples. In conclusion, "Poppella Pasticceria" is an experience that transcends time, offering a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of Italy. Despite the minor service shortcomings, the delectable treats served at this charming shop are an absolute delight for any food lover, especially those with an insatiable sweet tooth.

Strange place.. as soon as we entered - very old guy just put some bread in our hands, then we tried to ask for some pastry and instead of 2 pieces - he put double-triple amount of everything. Chalet Ciro 1952 in Mergellina is a cherished Naples establishment offering a wide array of flavors crafted from locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients. Established in 1952, this family-run gelateria overlooks the picturesque Mergellina seafront and invites visitors to indulge in their famed rum-soaked baba gelato and divine almond and honey creation. Additionally, Chef Pepe's favorite pizza can be enjoyed here.
The bar itself is quite small, but I Cornetti, the croissants were huge. Lots of choices to choose from. One of the best breakfast you could have. I simply loved and enjoyed very much my croissant with Nutella, and the espresso coffee was superlative as well, a real Italian coffee. We also bought different pastries like baba, sfogliatelle, millefoglie that were very excellent and everyone enjoyed them a lot.

Chalet Ciro in Naples is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The sfogliatelle? Hands down the best I’ve ever tasted—crispy, flaky perfection with a rich, flavorful filling that made every bite unforgettable. And the views? Simply breathtaking! Gazing out at Mount Vesuvius while savoring a delicious treat felt like a dream. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Chalet Ciro is a must-stop spot for authentic flavors and stunning scenery. Can't wait to return!

Two days in a row I ordered sandwiches from here. I’m an American visiting this beautiful country and wanting to enjoy their culture and food. On both occasions I was given the wrong sandwich, and on the second belittled by the large Italian man behind the deli counter… The first time, we ordered a prosciutto and salami sandwich that was positioned in view of the deli. Our ticket was sent to the back of the deli, versus grabbing one of the sandwiches from view. As we walked down the boardwalk away from Chalet Ciro and finally opened our sandwich, we found ham wrapped in a hotdog with some cheese. We chalked it up to language barriers. The second time, I pointed at the sandwich specifically and ordered from the checkout to be sure not to misunderstand. Instead of prosciutto and ham, I received a tuna sandwich. While it was good. It was not what I ordered… I’m respectful when I travel, and while not fluent, speak to the best of my ability to show appreciation. This man was rude, and clearly gave me the wrong food both times while shouting out “Miami Beach” while grabbing and handing me my sandwich. I don’t live anywhere near Miami, but he’s obviously generated his own opinions from his position behind the counter…So unprofessional and off putting… shame on you… The food was amazing, if you can handle the belittlement of the older and larger man behind the counter stop here. If not, keep walking.

I think this is one of the (must-visit) points of attraction in Napoli…. Great coffee - Delicious ice cream - Amazing view of the sea - Traditional Italian dress of waiters takes you in a time journey to the 50s … Wonderful atmosphere …. Definitely I would love to go visit again

Extremely Disappointing — Don’t Waste Your Time We came here based on all the glowing reviews, but honestly, this place is nothing special. Most of the products clearly aren’t handmade by the owner, they look mass-produced and identical to what you’ll find at every other nearby stall, right down to the packaging. Sure, they fry some doughnuts... but that’s hardly unique or impressive. The gelato? Laughable, we were given two of the tiniest scoops imaginable. The tiramisu was bland and flavourless, and the rum baba was so dry it was inedible. We made a long journey out of our way to visit, and left hugely disappointed. Apart from being in a good location, everything else is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. As for customer service, don’t expect any. Staff were indifferent and unwelcoming. Overall, poor service, mediocre food, and factory-made products with boutique prices. Avoid.

Very good ice cream, creamy and well made. A medium is €3.8, so very well priced for the quality. The only reason it does not have full stars is because I like my chocolate flavor to be even deeper and stronger. It is very well located because it's perfect to get ice cream and walk around the bay.

When they a tourist they increase the price and charge for coperto for a cup of coffee, Oddio ! They charge for one espresso 3.5 € and small cappuccino 4€, it’s super high prices for Napoli, that’s because we are tourists and they can scam us !

Mary's Sfogliatella is a renowned Neapolitan pastry that has gained worldwide appreciation and is beloved by many. This delightful treat, with its crispy pastry shell and sweet icing sugar, encases a soft filling of ricotta and candied fruit. The bakery, nestled in the charming Galleria Umberto, offers these delectable sfogliatelle to locals and visitors alike.
Mary’s Sfogliatella is a small gem right at the entrance to Galleria Umberto I. Don’t be put off by the occasional line—it moves quickly, and the reward is absolutely worth it. This place serves what might be the best sfogliatella in Naples. Mine was fresh out of the oven, perfectly crisp, and filled with deliciousness. At just €2, it’s a steal. The ladies behind the counter were fast, efficient, and genuinely friendly. If you’re anywhere nearby, make this a priority stop. Highly recommend!
Eric F — Google review
A small pastry stand with classic Naples deserts and baked goods. Visited on holiday evening and the line was long but moving. Prices are very reasonable, pastries are fresh and delicious. They will pack to go too. Take cash or credit card.
Vlada — Google review
We had sfogliatella at two places and we like here better. There’s a long line but it moves fast. I was expecting the pastry like a filled croissant but the outside are way more crunchy. It’s not too sweet so I like it.
Meng Y — Google review
The place is very crowded maybe overhyped but the baba rum was very good except for the sfogliatella is average and alot of people waiting not clean streef
Chawki D — Google review
The Sfogliatella riccia was lovely, and it stayed warm for ages. Crispy outside, soft on the inside! The service was a little stressful, I ordered 2 pastries (a pistacchio cannoli which wasn’t for me so can’t comment on), each came on a separate piece of paper, one of my hands was already full with the change from paying for them, and a water bottle, so it would’ve been nice to be offered a plate or at least be handed the second dessert. Instead it was left on the counter and the next customer was then in between me and my food. It wasn’t very nice, having to rush off with one pastry awkwardly squashed on top of the other so that they could hurriedly serve the next customer.
Katy R — Google review
AVOID! The guy behind the counter was extremely rude, ignored us completely when we asked him a question, and acted like we were invisible. The pastries were stale and tasteless, I don’t get the hype at all! Won’t be coming back plenty of better bakeries/sfogliatella out there.

We had 3 desserts, and everything is good. It is worth queuing and should stop by when you're in the area.

The baba is a pillowy mushroom-shaped pastry soaked in a blend of simple syrup and rum, representing the true taste of Naples. Visitors praise its perfect texture and balanced sweetness.
Sfogliatelle was so delicious, it’s a must try in Naples. I liked the crunchy one but classic was also tasty. Ladies were so kind even though they didn’t speak English. Service was good as well 👍

Pasticceria Poppella, a historical brand in Naples since 1920, was founded by Raffaele Scognamillo and his wife Giuseppina Evangelista. Known for its unique Neapolitan snowflakes that melt in your mouth, this pastry shop is a must-visit when in Naples. The delicate snowflakes can be enjoyed with cream or chocolate and pistachio. The takeaway boxes are also popular souvenirs.
A famous patisserie, which opens at 8:30, that has all kinds of cakes, and pastries, out of this world. Everything is so beautiful, and more importantly - really delicious. We will come back again, also tomorrow, and we will certainly recommend the place, to others.

I decided to try all of them after seeing the crazy line to try these, but the staff is really really fast. and I ate the deserts in the plate and I felt great 😂 i even had two more before my flight . I got 10 fiocchi di neve with me, for my friends to try and I brought 5 of them home. I got them at 14:00 and I was home after my flight to Albania at 22:00. They can last for 10 hours without being refrigerated and three days refrigerated. I should have gotten more. After being refrigerated they tasted even better. I got just one with pistacchio but it was so good. It is worth the wait. They should have added one charging place cause with that line I lost my battery and I got what I wanted instead of communicating with my cousins to ask them what would they prefer.
LEDJA B — Google review
as what others said, the snowflake pastry is really good! it's soft and sweet but it's light. we really enjoyed it. the baba is not bad too, can taste the rum and good that they sell the small size because we're quite full. we went quite early in the morning and there was no queue surprisingly. no seating inside so we had to takeaway and eat outside

A good place with normal service. The specialty, the 'fiocco di neve' (snowflake), is very good. However, it's not a café, so there are no drinks, and maybe some pastries are missing, but it's fine.

Stylish and inviting, Stairs Coffee Shop in Naples is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends. Offering delicious coffee and chocolate drinks as well as sandwiches and pastries, this bar is perfect for any occasion.
Hi, I'm Emily, and I'm from the United States. I work as a babysitter, and my husband, Dom, gave me a trip to Naples for our anniversary. Stairs is a beautiful and welcoming place with amazing food. We were greeted by a very lovely and friendly girl, Benedicta, who even agreed to bring me a spoon so I could let my dog, Skate, taste a little dessert. I will definitely come back!
Emily S — Google review
Stopped here for a drink. Wished we hadn’t. Service was terrible, one waiter insisted on climbing over my legs and bag each time to reach a table next to me even though there was a better route. I asked him politely not to go that way but he ignored my request. After that I made an obstruction making it impossible for him to go “my way” and he was clearly unhappy with what I had done. So rude of him. The non alcoholic drink was nice and I was impressed by the snacks that they served. Pity about the low service level. Prices were too high in my opinion. I don’t recommend

When looking for restaurant options with eggs, specially for breakfast, this place came up in our search and we were very happy with it. They have a fairly wide selection of food and there are decent options to choose from for a hearty breakfast. The coffee was great and the meal was tasty. We just found the bacon too salty.
Ameya D — Google review
Very beautiful cafe to go for either an aperitivo with your friends or even to work with your laptop. Sometimes the music is too high so make sure you wear headphones if you go there for working reasons. The menu is very impressive ( you can even get waffles or brunch American style). The outside space can fit many people with about 20 tables. On top of that the location is great as it is located in the heart of vomero shopping district which is pedestrian as well. Definitely recommended 👌
Roberto L — Google review
A central place, beautiful location. However the service was very slow. The number of waiters was low compared to the customers.

We were just getting the tram back to our accommodation when we heard music coming from this bakery and a big crowd of people gathered outside. There was a DJ and a live sax player. It turns out that they were celebrating their 25th birthday, with free nibbles and a party. It was great to try their delicious skewers, mini pizzas and fruit, but the highlight was the individual profiteroles, which they serve in different flavours, for example with a rich chocolate sauce or lemon sauce. These were beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The lemon one was particularly tasty. Inside the shop there are some beautiful cakes, such as the chocolate blood orange log. Our visit to the Mignone bakery was an unexpected highlight of our trip, and I'd definitely recommend popping in there for a profiterole or two.

Bar Nilo is a unique coffee shop in Naples that pays homage to Maradona, featuring kitschy decor and a warm ambiance. (Translated by Google) I hadn't been to this historic nightclub in Naples for a few years. A disappointment. The owner is still the same, I remember him as a boy, now a man and I remember his father even more. Not very clean place, little attention towards the customer (come or don't come, I'm tico mania). Even the croissants have changed. I took one white chocolate and unfortunately it didn't seem fresh to me and the other salted caramel. The latter was better than not doing so since the cream had been taken from a fridge and therefore was cold inside. I only ate half of it then threw it away. Prices are high compared to the product offered. In Naples you can find better. I conclude it was a weekday around 11.30pm after a beautiful show by Peppe Iodice at the Troisi theater (Original) Mancavo da qualche anno in questo locale notturno e storico di Napoli.

Came here for a few drinks, and it is such a lovely little place, tucked away, using a beautiful terrace and some stairs. Inside is a little gallery, which gives it obviously a cool touch. The drinks list is extensive. The cocktails, as well as wines we've tasted, were very nice. You get a very big snack patter with your first order of drinks, which kinds of make you stay for the next round ;) The service is a little slow, you have to get their attention rather than theat they come and ask you if you need anything else. However, this is a beautiful bar and had quite a lot of other nice places around, perfect for a little bar hopping. It's also pretty quiet and away from any noisy roads. Great atmosphere, lots of outdoor tables, super good service! I generally place this bar in my top bars in the city. My Favourite spot that I’ve discovered in Naples. It’s a gorgeous gem hidden away. I can only talk about the cafe area and food - the courtyard is gorgeous - it’s a beautiful gem for sitting with a coffee/drink and reading. I’ve visited three times so far. Cappuccino with oat milk is delicious, the lovely guy gave me little biscuits too. I returned for coffee a 2nd time. And my third time I had lunch - bruschetta (so tasty) and a mixed salad which was fresh and just what I was after as a healthy option. Portion size perfect too, served with bread. Peach / lemon ice tea is divine here. Each time I’ve visited I’ve had a wonderful warm feeling from the staff. The courtyard seating area really is a little gem away from the busy streets. Highly recommend. Would make a perfect catching up with friends spot / but also ideal if you’re solo and just want to read or write - love this place so much REVISITED 2025 - loved this spot so much. It’s a perfect place.

To start, best pastry in Napoli possibly the world. This a worth an additional stop and in fact, might be worth an entire trip. Found these glorious concoctions on our second day and made sure to memorize the hours for 5 more visits in 3 days. On our final visit we sat outside and noticed a steady stream of locals and carloads of non-locals double parking and running in for a few items. Nestled close to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, Di Costanzo is a charming pastry shop that embodies the essence of traditional Neapolitan sweets while infusing them with modern flair. The shop is renowned for its exquisite creations, like the oro colato cake featuring a delightful blend of hazelnut cream, Giffoni hazelnut praline, and salted caramel sauce topped with luscious Peruvian milk chocolate frosting.
Absolute gem of a place, we had coffee next door and happened to walk past. Some of the best cakes of our lives (and we’ve been to Paris!) small, tasty delights. The woman serving, Carmen? Was really lovey too and talked us through all of the options. We are going back tomorrow! A must visit if you’re in Naples

Fancy place with a lot of little pastries. Hard to chose which ones you want. The personnel tried to advice us but their english needed a bit of work. But they really did try to help us. We chose 4 pastries. 3 of the were very good. One of them wasn't our taste.

This is the good stuff! Found the place by accident while walking in the neighbourhood, and the beautiful pastries in the window immediately triggered my pastry radar. I am a self-proclaimed pastry snob and I know high quality pastry when I see one, and this place is a temple of great pastry! The baba was the best I had in Napoli, and all the small pastries tried were delicious. My only regret is to not have tried more of them. I particularly enjoyed the mini format. Prices were also surprisingly good for that level of quality! We even found out a few days later that one of the very good restaurants we ate at (Januarius ) was sourcing the desserts on its menu from there, which says a lot about the quality of this pastry shop!

The staff is very friendly, and what I like about their delicacies is that they carter in small amount ,so you get to try a wide variety in one tray you order. in other Pasticceria they serve in big amount so just trying one makes you full and loss appetite to try the other delicacies. I highly recommend to try them , oh and the dolce is so delicious

The cafe also offers simple yet delicious brioche, all freshly made in the adjacent bakery.
Absolutely fabulous!!! If I could I would give 10 stars. We ordered a wedding cake for 110 pers - it was marvellous. The owner, Davide, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly!! Would highly recommend this place for everything - especially the friendliness of the staff.

I found this place as a hidden gem on the same street of the B&B place we stayed in Naples. I went there in the morning and it was packed with people. The chocolate croissant and cappuccino were the perfect match! The stuff was super friendly and attentive although I don’t understand Italian at all. Eating at the coffee bar with other locals makes me feel blending in to this place. Fresh squeezed orange juice is the plus! Highly recommend to everyone if you are in the area!

Excellent place for coffee, pastries, potato croquettes and pizzette. The babà was good, the Deliziose and eclair were good. The croquettes and the espresso are just great. Nice packaging for takeout if you need to bring pastries to a host. Good Babà cake.

Nestled on the scenic slopes of Vomero, Antica Forneria Molettieri has been a beloved bakery since 1959, captivating locals and visitors alike with its artisanal bread and pastries. The talented Rodolfo leads the team in crafting unique offerings that pay homage to Neapolitan culinary traditions. Among their standout creations are the delightful puff pastry prussiane biscuits and innovative breads made from ancestral yeasts or infused ingredients like white fir.
We literally walked into this bakery during a one day visit to Naples. The owner was fabulous giving us things to try and taking time to show us his favorites. The custard cherry filled pastry (that we didn’t get the name of) was far and away the best treat during out 2 week tour of Italy! We even went to the oldest bakery in Rome and this was the best. Thank you Molettieri!

Fabulous pastry and piquenique foods. Charming, kind staff. The owner is famous, at least locally, for having an excellent restaurant which he closed and chose to do pastry, boulangerie and take away foods. (Translated by Google) First of all, my family and I get our bread from them every morning and evening, so that means their food is good. But what about the rudeness of the lady with the brown bob? And I'm not talking about the lady with the blue eyes; in fact, she's always kind, as are the younger girls. But it really does hurt the restaurant's image, because, as I repeat, the food is good. But someone you go to buy your food for can't make you feel unwelcome. We decided to on this spot so we could enjoy a drink outside. Service was really rude, you have to order immediately and pay immediately by getting up from your spot and going inside, the servers do not come to you. If you are alone this means you would either leave your drink in the open whilst you go pay, or you would lose your spot outside to pay for your food/drinks. If you don’t go immediately, the servers harass you until you do. Poor experience, not worth the premium price on the drinks. €7.50 for a large flat room temp draught beer, not again.

Bar Mexico, situated in Piazza Dante near the station, is a historic café in Naples renowned for serving traditional Parthenopean espresso. The coffee is always served hot and pre-sweetened, but patrons who prefer it unsweetened can request so. Interestingly, Bar Mexico was the first café in Naples to offer pineapple juice, which was considered exotic at the time. Despite its name, this café offers quintessential Italian brews and is particularly famous for its delightful Passalacqua coffee.

I cannot express how incredible our wedding cake was. We eloped in Positano and stopped here to pick up our wedding cake after landing in Napoli. I want to preface this by saying I am not a “cake person” and mostly ordered a small wedding cake for photos. I could NOT stop eating this cake. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most delicious cake I’ve ever eaten. The chef used fresh strawberries from their garden to make the most delicious strawberry cake. The icing was phenomenal. It was one of our favorite parts of our elopement and I am so glad we went with Mon Sciu for our wedding cake.
