So I thought I would give ST Philips Bakery in Maple a second chance this Easter after a disastrous Italian rum cake I have bought for Christmas …. WRONG! Who bakes these cakes? At $49 a shot I expect something at least decent! This Italian rum cake had no cake! All cream! And it was more a flan than a cake!!!! A real embarrassment at my family gathering! Never again am I getting a cake from this bakery!

Stopped in after having dinner in the area. The service was super friendly, and the selection, even though late, was vast. The pastries and desserts are very good. The breads and other baked items also looked delicious.

Not only did it look perfect, but the taste was also INCREDIBLE—so fresh and moist! The lemon raspberry flavour is a must-try. You have to get it! I can’t wait to see how amazing my wedding cake will be. Highly recommend!!!

This bakery has a beautiful atmosphere and serves up some truly good food. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but if you have a sweet tooth, it’s absolutely worth it. Their freshly baked goods make for a perfect treat, whether for yourself or as a thoughtful gift when visiting someone in the area. A charming spot for anyone who loves quality baked treats!

Always love coming down here! I’ve had the hot table and the pastries and I am definitely pleased with both. I love the semolina in the cannoli filling, solid 9/10. Really want to try the focaccia next time I’m in.

I was taking lessons from one of the establishments in the plaza and thought of having a coffee from this place. The coffee is good but the woman at the counter seems to be a snob as she gave me a poker face while I'm all smile. I asked her to make me a cup of coffee which she did though. I think for a store to be successful everything should be inviting. She wasn't. But she was so friendly with everybody else. I don't want to think, it's because I'm Asian, but who knows what goes through her head. Am I coming back here? Maybe. The pastries look really good. I will try to bring my white husband and see how she behaves next time. 🙂

Good spot for a quick warm bite or a sandwich. They sell a wide variety of breads and they also make sandwiches on the spot, but we only realized it after seeing other (regular) customers ordering, because otherwise we didn’t see any signs about it. Dining area availability inside.

Had a great experience here. My family and I were greeted very nicely and the staff were very friendly and helpful in going through the coffee options and bringing our food to our table. The coffee and pastries were delicious. They have a nice patio and are dog friendly.

Great pizza and large pastry variety. There's no menu but they will make you a fresh oven baked pizza with whatever toppings you choose. The pistachio cannoli and mini tiramisu were our favorite pastries.

Emily’s Bakery has been around in this area for a long time. It offers pastries, bread, pizza and coffee as a bakery, deli, pastry & hot table shop. Situated inside is a large wood-fired pizza oven as well. I tried a set of cannolis from Emily’s Bakery. It was fairly typical of what I would expect from these treats. Price point is fairly typical for this area within the basic shop interior.

This is an Italian bakery offering meals and pizzas, specialty coffees, deli items, bread products and a variety of pastries and baked goods. They have sitting area and informal, relaxed atmosphere. The servers are very helpful and friendly. A lot of free parking just in front of the bakery. A relaxed place to have coffee and pastries which are much better than the offerings st the large coffee chains.

Fresh bread and tons of good quality baked goods. I liked the cannolis. They also offer warm meals and pizza, there’s plenty of sitting inside. They also carry a small amount of imported products like panettone. You will find as well a deli counter with meats and cheese.

Vanessa and her team have done a couple cakes for us in the past and she never disappoints. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Celiac & placed an order for gluten-free cupcakes and cake and I am soooo impressed. Absolutely beautiful work & amazing flavour - probably my favourite buttercream. I’ve used Patisserie V Marie for cakes for the last 7 years and they never miss. I am a baker myself but for special occasions, I always like to order from here as their cakes have a professional clean finish and are so so so tasty. I do wish they had more flavours for their cakes and fillings, but the ones they have have been perfect. Would recommend 10/10 times. I’ve attached pictures of some cakes over the years.

I used Patisserie V Marie twice so far. The first was for my daughters baptism, last year, the second for my older daughters communion, this past weekend. With both events I recieved absolutely amazing customer service! The design of the cakes was exactly what was on the image I shared and the flavours were delicious! I will definitely be using them for future events and be happy to recommend them.

I came here in the morning - hoping to get some pastries for a little get together. I didn’t quite look into it and realized as I walked in that it’s predominately an order ahead kind of place, and while they didn’t have much on offer other than cupcakes and a few pre wrapped cookies, everything that was there looked gorgeous. I was hoping for some croissants and danishes but came out with some cupcakes since that was really all they had and they not only looked beautiful but were very delicious. The service was excellent- I had my hands full and they walked me to my car! Highly recommend if you are ordering! I can’t speak for the cakes but I imagine their cupcakes are close in taste and texture and those were wonderful! Thank you!

Hello Googlers! I decide to stop by and get something for my bday. The lady in the front desk suggested the soft shell for the different flavors. Honestly, for me, not my cup of tea, the soft shell with the different flavors weren’t that good. I had Oreo, Coffee and something else. For a pack of 12, it is quite pricey. I also orders an extra 3 individual of strawberry, lemon and something else. What is common is you can taste the flavour but it is also the texture of the filling that doesn’t sit right with me. It’s like a little thicker than whip cream. I probably would enjoy the hard shell just a little more. However it’s the texture of the filling, not so tasteful filling and the price for me. In terms of location, wonderful. Lots of parking space. They have 3 small round tables inside that sits 2 individuals if you want to eat there. They also serve other items and drinks as well. Customer service…… maybe she just has a resting bf, or having a bad day? Wasn’t good service to be honest. Another deterrent to not go back nor suggest this place to other people. Many people had raved many times about this little place in Vaughan that apparently had the best cannolis in town, and they were right!!! This is it. You don't need to look any further. I recently picked up a sweet treat for a friend, and she absolutely loved it!!!

I've been lucky enough to have attended a few events with cannolis from here and have ordered myself now twice. Cannoli Queens continue to exceed all my expectations. The shells are nice and fluffy and each flavor is so distinct, creamy and light. The quality of ingredients is evident. Also want to give Bianca a shout out for her exceptional customer service. She has gone above and beyond to ensure always a great experience. 10/10, no notes.

My go-to place to get birthday cakes and cannolis!! They have the perfect creamy texture, ingredients are super fresh and their desserts are not overly sugary which is my favourite part!

Me and my family order at least 1 cake from here every month (big family, lots of birthdays) and I can honestly say I've never been let down. The sponge of the cake is always so fresh and the flavour is so light and not overly sweet. It seriously is the perfect cake. On top of that the designs and flavour add ons are really good as well and compliment the cake (strawberry shortcake filling is my favourite). Will continue to get cakes here and I always recommend them. Honestly for the price, it is well worth it. The staff are very professional and communicative, and make the experience really easy. Cute shop with a bunch of pastries and cute items. It came highly recommended so maybe my expectations were a bit too high but the Cannolis were a bit average in my opinion. The vanilla one is definitely the shot but what threw me off was the powdered sugar on top which took away from the cannoli itself. They are also a bit over stuffed with cream which again isn’t quite needed. Otherwise definitely worth a shot and your own opinion.

I cant begin to describe the flavours, let alone the visual! We had a 47 pc cannoli cake for our 25th wedding anniversary party and the queens did not disappoint. I am utterly disappointed and frustrated that my cake was served without any icing on top, as I felt compelled to scrape off the top layer due to its unappealing presentation. My wife and I ordered a cake from Irresistible Cakes for a special event, providing them with a clear inspiration photo and specific details about the colours and design we wanted. To our shock and disappointment, the cake we received was nothing like what we ordered. Instead of using the inspiration photo as a guide, they simply copied and pasted the image directly onto the cake. Worse, the image was off-centre, and the additional decorative swirls they added were poorly executed—many were uneven, faded, or missing altogether. When we called to address the issue, we spoke to a gentleman who offered only a 10% discount, dismissing our concerns despite the fact that the cake was not what we asked for. This level of customer service was appalling, especially for a business charging premium prices. We left extremely disappointed and would absolutely not recommend this company. To make matters worse, the company has since taken their unprofessionalism to a shocking level. Instead of contacting us directly, they called my wife’s workplace in an attempt to intimidate us into removing our reviews. This behaviour is not just unprofessional but also invasive and harassing. It is completely inappropriate for a business to involve a customer's workplace in a private dispute, especially when they already have direct means of communication. Irresistible Cakes, if you want to resolve this situation, contact us directly. Stop harassing my wife’s workplace and take responsibility for your mistakes.

I was very disappointed with the service. I called to order an all white heart shaped cake and I asked if they could add white glitter in the icing and gold writing on the top. They said that they could and I also assured them that if they couldn’t do the glitter the same as the picture they could just leave it out. They sent an email confirming the details and I sent a picture to them for reference. When I went to get the cake there was gold glitter splashed on the top of the cake and when I asked them to make adjustments since I did not want that, they said “it’s buttercream cake not fondant so we cannot change and the cake decorator is gone”, I offered to come pick up the cake the next day and they said, “no he’s gone gone”. They were clearly just refusing to cooperate and talking to me like I’m an idiot and can’t spot terrible customer service. So I had to choose between taking a cake I did not like at all or leaving with no cake and lose 85 dollars. I have added pictures of the email confirmation, the reference picture, and the cake they gave me that looked like there was an ugly splotch in the center.

For example, we received six slices of cheese — if we had ordered for two, would it have been just four? It left us wondering what we paid extra for. Another concern: when I asked about leaving a tip, the staff said it could only be given in cash. However, I later realized a 10% service charge had already been added to our bill — without being clearly communicated. That felt misleading. Lastly, although the environment was nice overall, our water glasses were not clean, which was disappointing. I truly hope these small but important details will be improved in the future.

I went here yesterday for brunch and it was a huge disappointment. First, the plates were dirty — they had spots on them, and I had to ask for replacements. We ordered the mixed tray breakfast for 3, and the portions were shockingly small. They brought ONE small skillet of watery omelet for all three of us, which we didn’t even finish. The cheese and mushroom bowl was burned, and they gave us just three small pieces of cheese with a few tiny bowls of butter, strawberry jam, etc. Even the tea was just a tea bag. In total, we ordered the mixed breakfast for 3, one bread with egg and avocado, a cappuccino, an americano, and one piece of cake. The bill came to a ridiculous $195, plus they automatically added a 10% service fee for a table of FOUR, even though the service was not good. Terrible experience overall. Poor service, overpriced, and the food was absolutely not worth it. Definitely not going back and I don’t recommend this place to anyone!

Nice cafe with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, though it was a little on the slow side. My chai latte was just okay—I was honestly expecting something more unique, rather than something that came from a grocery store tea bag. I would still come back to try other drinks or food items, as the place itself has a lot of charm.

If you are looking for a soulful and a relaxing place to spend your evening, I would recommend this place. Additionally, I would wanna take a moment to appreciate the efforts of Tim, as he was able accommodate a special request to serve an item from breakfast menu to us as dinner. Shout out to the “sujuk”, I have never had such tasty meat. Adding a few pics to tempt more people to try out this place.

I had a wonderful experience at Cappadocia. We went for brunch and stayed for dessert, and everything exceeded expectations. The blueberry cheesecake was subtly flavored and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. The pistachio cream cake was moist, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Their selection of locally baked croissants is also worth mentioning. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a warm smile that added to the welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot!

But I’m in my Cappuccino years, older kids and running my own business there is finally time to enjoy it - to STAY 💙 The BIA renamed itself #DukeHeights a few years back and I’ve nominated this spot for multiple food and community awards…but I need to gatekeep this peaceful espresso access no longer… Lovely welcoming staff… who will be busy as #Gelato season has begun! It’s a cozy chill area. A couple friends and I bought some desserts to enjoy and chat. The atmosphere is really casual and relaxed. It wasn’t busy when we went in the late afternoon.

This time in, we had ordered a custom Sfogliatella cake in the style of a Mille-feuille, and it was awesome in preparation, flavor, freshness, and presentation. 5/5 The hot buffet food was a completely different story. Yes, it’s a little hidden sweet paradise. Oh the sweet choices are so many to choose from. What to choose? Their desserts are catching to the eyes and even taste great!!! This is the worst veal sandwich I have ever had in my life. It was so stringy and chewy it was very tough to eat. I came here before the whole scamdemic (pre-covid) lol,and it was very good. They have really gone downhill and I'll definitely not be going back

Spent about $35 on different treats. Got home and we went to eat 2 of the flakie type pastry's and the crust is burnt on both and beyond edible. Very disappointing. The flavor was terrible and as soon as I looked at it, could tell by the dark brown pastry it had been over baked. Ive purchased multiple times in the past. If I can see that it was below quality, I'm pretty sure an experienced employee at caldense bakery can also see that. Why would you put inedible product out and sell?? It left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure if I'd go back.

It's not acceptable serving moldy Strawberry cheesecake. Selling very old cheesecake and disregarding someone getting sick just to make profit is disgusting. I will definitely stop coming here. There were other Strawberry Cheesecakes on display, but they sold me the oldest one with molds.

One of the best costumers service in GTA, I ordered twice a birthday cake and first time they made mistake and manager gave us the second one for free, the money is not important but costumers service is important to me, also cake was super delicious, don’t forget about Pastel de Nata, it’s fresh like you have it in Lisbon, highly recommended

Seara Bakery and Pastry – First Experience via Too Good To Go My first experience with Seara Bakery and Pastry was through a Too Good To Go purchase. For $5.99, I received a very generous portion of desserts and pastries. Although the items weren’t particularly Portuguese as described, everything was fresh and tasty. Considering the price, it was still an excellent deal and a fun way to discover what they offer. Overall, I’m glad I tried it and would recommend giving them a shot, especially if you enjoy surprise bakery treats at great value.

Their ice coffees are delicious and the bread is always fresh! Great variety of delicious pastries too! They have seasonal desserts for all the holidays which are super creative (galentine, Halloween cookies etc.,) and a great treat to give to friends and family! Number one bakery in Vaughan!

It felt really good that we were asked to leave because they were closing. The coffee was frankly tasteless.

The tres leches cake was way too sweet and oddly hard, which was disappointing. The flan cake had an unpleasant taste and texture—definitely not something I’d order again.

I ordered the Lomito and the Beef Milenesa and both were great. I want to try something else next time. Churros were also hot and fresh and filled with dulce de leche. I would most def go back and try some others on their menu Sophia was the best!

Highly recommend Sara's Bakery. Pamela is professional, responsive and care-driven. She was able to help with a rush cake order and saw it through that the time commitment was prioritized. I went in for an ice coffee and was venting to the barista about my stressful week and she was so so gracious to give me my order on the house. Such a small gesture but made the world of the difference to my day. Not to mention the ice coffee is amazing and the croissants are 🙏🏽 Definitely will be coming back asap.

I loved this place! I felt like home! A wide variety of Argentine and Latin products, especially yerba mate, that shorten distances. The lomito and milanesa sandwich were delicious. I will come back to try the facturas and empanadas.

I chose this bakery specifically because they made a beautiful Tiffany box-inspired cake for my baby shower a decade ago. I thought it would be a full-circle moment to use them for my son’s 10th birthday… Original order included a gamer/Fortnite theme with written instructions and a few sample cake design images. Bakery called to say I selected the wrong order type — added a $40 fee on top of the $315 I was already paying. I accepted without issue. Five days before pickup, I emailed an updated design with an AI-generated reference and hand-picked Fortnite character cutouts my son chose himself. They confirmed the update and received everything. None of the cutouts we provided were used. The gaming characters they included were not from Fortnite — my son noticed right away and didn’t even want them on the cake. The other cut outs were nice, but the main ones he was looking forward to were the players from Fortnite. Each tier was supposed to be a different flavour. We cut into it and found both were red velvet. No heads-up or explanation. The cake itself was not very tasty and barely anyone ate their slice. I’m not sure if there was a sugar/syrup soak between layers but it seemed so. Bottom tier with photos of the birthday boy was done very nicely — everyone loved that part of the design. Pickup was scheduled for 2 PM Saturday. We arrived at 2:20 from Ajax, thinking we were late, only to be told to wait — cake wasn’t ready until 3 PM. They weren’t rude, there was just no communication or updates about the order. Everything came as a surprise. I even called that morning to see what time it would be ready. If I had known, I could’ve arranged someone else to pick it up, especially since we had a backup cake ready. The wait caused us to arrive after guests to the party. From the looks of it, there may have been an issue with the order details not being updated and caused them to rush to fix the design where they could. No apology, no mention of the flavour or design mix-up, and just $10 off despite multiple issues. As someone who used to make custom cakes, I understand the workload — but I always prioritized clear communication and doing what I could to make things right for customers on their special day. I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but after hearing many similar stories from friends and family, I felt it was worth sharing. Not trying to bash a small business, but the experience stung a bit. I hope this review encourages some changes.

I recently ordered a cake from Cake Your Way, and while this isn’t my first time ordering from them, it was my first issue. The cake I ordered was supposed to be light pink, but instead, it came out red. I even provided an inspiration picture, requesting it be made exactly the same. When I called to address the issue, the owner was unhelpful and responded rudely, insisting that I had selected hot pink on the website, implying it was my mistake. While I understand that color discrepancies can happen, clear communication is key—especially for a business owner with a large following. A simple email confirmation from their end about color choices would have prevented this confusion. The owners dismissive attitude and refusal to offer any compensation, especially considering I live in Toronto and the business is in Vaughan so I have to come a long way, made the experience even more frustrating. I won’t be returning, as her lack of professionalism and the arrogant tone ultimately cost her a loyal customer. If you plan to order a cake from here, I highly recommend specifying colours in detail and following up with an email, as the owner is not proactive in confirming details herself and communicating with her clients. I attached pictures showing the original cake and what she gave me. Clearly these are 2 different colours.

From the first conversation to picking up the cake, she made sure everything was perfect. She listened to my ideas, made great suggestions, and was genuinely invested in getting it just right. The cake not only looked awesome but tasted even better, with a great balance of sweetness and texture. Definitely a winner. Very happy with the custom heart cake I ordered for my girl’s birthday. Sent in reference photos and they made the perfect combination of both cakes while matching everything I asked for in the notes. Helpful and easy to talk to over the phone when I needed to make order changes. Design itself was gorgeous. Cake & filling well made. Buttercream was particularly nice and not too much. Will definitely be ordering again!

I was in the area and remembered my son asked for some bagels. Lory was very patient with my questions (I don’t buy bagels often and wasn’t sure which one I should choose). I appreciated her friendliness and willingness to help.

Yesterday my wife and I stopped in and were treated so well I had to comment…… baked goods are always amazing. The front counter staff and manager truly understand customer service….. looking forward to seeing them again

The food is okay, but the young cashier had a very bad attitude. I clearly said what I wanted, but she gave me the wrong item and even blamed me. Although this used to be one of my favorite stores, I won’t be coming back.

Came here for the first time to hopefully try to get some fresh items. Walked out with a baguette, came home and could barely cut it because it was so dry and hard. Spent 4$ on a baguette that isn’t even edible. Ended up scraping the top of my mouth and could barely even bite into it. Safe to say will never come back here.

Friendly service and great bread. I tried their sunflax sourdough and the apricot bread both were great in their own way

Bakery items are absolutely delicious. Wish they could do something about the amount of flies inside the bakery item showcase though.

Beautiful and delicious! These cookies were so good. I ordered the Nutella, crinkle and lemon twist cookies...just delish! They make great for a sweet table for any occasion! Was very happy. And Stefania was amazing to deal with! Will definitely be buying more for future events!

Mixed with a bit of modern cookies and just the right amount of love, these baked goods melt in your mouth and make you want more. I’m lucky to be few quick steps away for deliciousness at my fingertips.

Can’t say enough about the biscotti. Can’t have a coffee anymore without one. We had a a few trays delivered for a birthday party and they were outstanding. Will not hesitate to order again. If only they could try their hand at baklava, I would be in heaven.

We were very happy with the cake that was created for a 60th birthday function for 100 people. I had wanted a casino slot machine cake, and it turned out fantastic. All our guests were amazed, and it tasted delicious! Speak to Teresa, I'm sure she can make design or theme you would like!
