Smoking Goat Shoreditch is a laid-back restaurant offering unique dishes and drinks inspired by Bangkok's late-night canteens. It is the East London sibling to Kiln, with a different vibe - a big and lively canteen in a warehouse space underneath Brat. The menu features classics like fried chicken wings in salty fish sauce, whole fried plaice, and five-spice braised chicken.
Couldn’t leave a better review! The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious, everything we had was a must try - especially the wings, beef massaman and the mackerel. We sat at the bar in front of the kitchen, was so lovely to see all the staff getting along so well and the kiwi chef was so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jack who gave us great recommendations and looked after us! Can’t wait to come back soon

The fish sauce wings here are great, super sticky and crispy. They're quite expensive(~4£ each) and only sold as single wings but it is a whole wing; I would say these are a must try. They are pretty big. The crispy chicken skins were nice, but I think a dipping sauce with them would go a long way. Cocktails were good. Service was pretty slow, but overall would come back for the wings, they're very unique and some of the best in this style I've had.
K J — Google review
I had such an amazing experience. The food and drinks were honestly 10/10!!! Everything was flavourful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, which made the whole evening even better. The bar staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely great at what they do. They gave fantastic recommendations, made us feel really welcomed, and you could tell they’re passionate about their cocktails and service. The atmosphere was cozy yet energetic, and the whole place had such a good vibe. I’d definitely come back again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for great drinks, delicious food, and outstanding service.

Overall a great experience. Squid with salty egg yolk is very special and recommended by the Legardo chef. Chicken wing is very special with fish sauce flavour. Chilli powder better to spread over the entire wing. Mine is only on part of the wing. So the other half has no chilli flavour at all. Fried chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. Naan is also great. Beef curry tastes nice. Strong coconut curry but a bit too sweet. They put lots of sugar in.

What a place! Stumbled across Smoking Goat for lunch and were immediately greeted by friendly staff who found us a table despite no reservation. The food was fantastic and all freshly cooked. Make sure you have the fried chicken as a sharer. Great choice of beers too served in iced glasses.

One of my favourite restaurants around the area. Drinks and food were fantastic. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. Everyone I bring over enjoys the food here! Will definitely be back.

I've heard for a long time about the quality of Smoking Goat, I finally had it yesterday and I already cant wait to go back! Food was absolutely delicious like 10/10 and the vibe was a nice cosy environment. It was very busy and a full restaurant throughout but not too busy to the point it affected our meal. Special shoutout to Yasmin she made our time 12/10 due to her customer service and know how of the menu and recommendations. I asked her about what drinks she'd recommend and picked the perfect drink and she basically ended up curating our whole meal. The chill wing was one of the best chicken wings I've had all year down to the exquisite sauce. And the massaman beef cheek was to die for!! Also had a daikon salad which added another dimension and the squid was divine also. She encouraged to try the grilled cockles which i was skeptical at first but as i love seafood and her assurance I wouldn't be disappointed and explained where in Wales they come from and how to enjoy them with the lovely sauce and im so glad we trusted her judgement, i can't wait to go back to try them again!! 5 star dining experience! Wish i could give them 6! Thanks again for everything Yasmin you are a superstar!!

We started our evening at Owl & Pussycat just a couple of minutes away, then headed to Smoking Goat and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was busy so you 100% need to book. The four of us went for a mix of sharing plates, and while every dish was great the chicken wings were the star! The cocktails were a real surprise too – tasty, really well priced for the area! Our waitress was super lovely and chatty, with great recommendations that made ordering easy. They’d even closed part of the street for extra outdoor tables, which gave the whole evening a fun, lively street party feel. Honestly, great food, friendly service, and such a good vibe!

If you're craving authentic New York-style buffalo chicken wings, look no further than The Orange Buffalo. This vibrant takeaway kiosk offers a delightful selection of free-range wings paired with an array of homemade sauces that will tantalize your taste buds. Nestled in Elys Yard at the Truman Brewery and also making appearances at Street Feast in Dalston Yard, this spot has been serving up crispy-fried chicken since 2012.
Been coming here since 2018 and always delicious, spicy and fun. Just been told this landmark of wings will end on 28th December. Why everything I love go away, I'm sadden by this but life moves on. I do hope they open a permanent branch, il invest if needs be. This is one of the best wings in town.
Ahi A — Google review
Buffalo sauce 10+, amount of sauce on the wings 10+, service and presentation, all fine but the wings itself are very poor, dry, and some I wouldn’t even call them wings, but rather bone with overly dry skin on top, they were tiny! Will come if quality of the wings improves, otherwise Wingmans and Randys better for me.
GRETA V — Google review
Tasty and spicy sauces, but will have to agree with another recent review; the wings were miniscule. These guys are in dire need of a new wing supplier. I understand they give you 16 wings a portion to make up for how scrawny they are, but I'd much rather get 8 regular-sized, plump wings (which it looks like they used to have) like you would from Wingstop. Wings that small will never hold their moisture, so I spent half the time nibbling at bone and dry meat unfortunately. Can only give 2-stars if their primary offering is wings from malnourished chickens.
Marcus V — Google review
Love Orange Buffalo, nearly as much as my son, Nick the owner invited us in to show us the magic. Their sauces are amazing!
Ian B — Google review
No, just not recommended. I ordered the buffalo ribs, and they were smothered in a sauce that completely overpowered the flavour of the meat. The ribs themselves had very little meat on them, making it hard to enjoy. On top of that, eating them was a messy struggle. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I won’t be going back.
Avihu T — Google review
Some of the best buffalo wings around. The woof woof sauce is something special in our household, you can literally eat it in anything. Can't wait for these guys to get a restaurant and serve their burgers and the huge mad platter.
Kam — Google review
Seriously good chicken wings. The people with me were debating whether the price was worth over and above the other chicken shops on the high street. Once we had finished, the answer was a resounding yes. Great variety of flavours. Really nice. I was impressed. The wings are served with a blue sauce, its extra for curly chips. Which are also really really well made. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I wasn't happy having to share with the people I was with so I will be going back by myself and indulging in the food all by myself. Update: been back loads of times now. Still epic. I can vouch for this branch. Epic.
Jermaine N — Google review
It was a bitterly cold day but I persevered with my mission for wings from The Orange Buffalo and was richly rewarded. Service was superb, friendly and prompt. A due warning was given about the order of Vincent (damn hot). The wings were plentiful and coated in superb sauce. The Vincent was hit-you-in-the-face mango sweet followed by a deceptively slow burn which built into a tasty fire of flavour. The Original was the real winner here. Slightly spiced, ever so buttery and works wonders with their house Blue Cheese. My one any only criticism is the wings were slightly on the smaller side than other slingers joints however I know suppliers are struggling and when the sauce is that good… it doesn’t matter. 🔥

Chicken wings restaurant

Bar & grill
Randy's Wing Bar in Hackney Wick is a popular spot known for its American-style wings and casual dining atmosphere. The restaurant has gained a strong reputation for its award-winning wings, earning the title of 'king of wings' and even being recognized as Europe's No1 Wing Bar. The menu features a diverse selection of wing flavors, including chimichurri, jerk, Gangnam, Kansas BBQ, and the classic Buffalo. In addition to wings, there are also affordable burger options available.
One of my most favourite places in London, I come here every year during summer! Food was genuinely so delicious. I received one of the meal deals for two people (it gives you 10 wings, 2 sides, and 2 drinks)— Korean wings are one of my favourites, the sauce is spectacular. I would recommend getting 5x2 wings of your choice, and 1x2 sides (so we got 5 wings of 2 different types, 1 chips, 1 coleslaw, and 2 cans of lemonade). Portions were good, the quality of the food was excellent. The service was amazing, they were really kind and gave us a meal deal (since we are students). Super friendly and chatty, made me ease up quickly into the place. There were only two servers dealing with a LOT of customers however, so it can get a little hectic trying to get their attention. Atmosphere was gorgeous, especially with the sun setting outside. Coming here during summer means you get to experience the wide open doors, the warm breeze soothing you over any hot dish, and the beautiful decorations really uplift the vintage/chill aesthetic of this place. It’s all so beautiful! The table my friends were on was quite sticky however, so remember to bring your own wipes to mitigate this issue! If you’re on a budget, then I recommend the meal deals (they’re around £20 with the addition of service charge). This place is not cheap of course, but from a lot of the ‘high-end’ fast food restaurants, this can definitely be affordable if you share the cost with more than one person!
R — Google review
This is the best wing bar ever. The wings here are hands down the best I’ve ever had crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. You have a choice to either have your wings grilled or fried, and of course I go for the fried wings every time. I order the same thing all the time which is the Kansas bbq fried wings, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for hanging out with friends, your partner, or just enjoying some great food. The staff are friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Shout out to H, every time my partner and I visit Randy’s Wing Bar he’s always there, he always goes above and beyond, sorts us out and makes sure we have a great time. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend this spot if you’re a wing lover.
Honest R — Google review
Second time here. Really enjoyed our meal and service recovery was good too. We tried their new recipe for the Korean wings as well and they were really good. & I’m also glad they carry local brewery (Signature) on draft! Special mention to H!
Jiaying C — Google review
Had a late lunch here and, unfortunately, it was quite a disappointing experience this time. We ended up waiting a long while for our food. It actually came out after those who arrived and ordered after us. The wrap was very plain (honestly, McDonald’s makes a better one), which was a real let-down. The chicken wings were cooked nicely as before (still juicy and flavourful) but the sweet potato fries were a bit overcooked. Overall, not a great visit and I’m not sure I’d go back again, which is a shame because I’ve had better experiences here before.
Taibo W — Google review
Absolute Gem of a Place The wings were crispy but sauced to the max, every option was a unique trip to flavour town, worthy enough to dethrone Wingstop, the entire experience had my girlfriend repeating "that's crazy girl" their loaded fries were delicious and flavoursome too, the staff was well attentive and they served with a smile, H in particular was an amazing host, you could tell they had a passion for their craft and love what they do. It's a cute little place by the canal with food just as breathtaking as it's service, will definitely come again
ZeprarexVII — Google review
By far the best wings place in London! The staff is also very friendly. H was the person taking care of us, just a really friendly, easygoing and polite guy. Thank you, we always enjoy Randy's! Food came out super quick. We got the wing tray: Korean, Garlic Parm, Buffalo, Hot Honey. My favourites were Hot Honey and Buffalo :)
Thauri D — Google review
In general its a nice play atmosphere is amazing, i ate outside on a sunny day , i would recommend the coated wing over the grilled, i didnt enjoy the wings , i dont kno why but i didnt. The frozen drinks were amazing.
M O — Google review
Used to come here a lot a few years ago but suddenly thought it’s been a while so let’s go again. The atmosphere was great (how can you go wrong on a sunny Hackney Wick), so was the service, but disappointed in the wings! We used to love them! The buffalo is watery and not spicy at all (I used to struggle to eat them - in a good way!) and they’ve added the breadcrumb or whatever it is, to the chicken whereas before it was just tender and crispy chicken and the sauce. The blue cheese use to be a lot better too and in a pot not covered on top. Again, unfortunately watery. As usual the chips and slaw delicious and the array of drinks is always good. Will definitely try again but upset it’s not what it used to be!

Mexican restaurant
La Chingada Mexican Food is a vibrant, compact eatery known for its organic tacos and burritos. The colorful interior with high stools and comic sans signage may seem unassuming at first, but the owner's dedication to creating special dishes each Sunday draws in a crowd of loyal patrons. In the summer, customers can enjoy their meals outside while savoring the sunshine and indulging in micheladas.
I went last Sunday with my son. The margarita was delicious. The tacos were all fresh. This is Mexican, not Tex-Mex. The lamb tacos were very spicy. My son loved the tres leches cake. I did not, but that’s not the fault of the cake. I didn’t like the texture. They play Mexican music and you can still have a conversation because it isn’t too loud.
Lisa P — Google review
I had mixed feeling’s from my visit. The meat in the carnitas and lamb I ordered was dry and bland, the whole dish was relying on the sauce. On the contrary Queadillas were very nice. The margarita was overpriced with just ice in it. I will possibly miss next time.
Krunal T — Google review
My first visit and certainly not my last. A simple, comfortable and welcoming dining room with some nice art painted onto the walls. The staff are excellent. Very attentive, warm and friendly. The food is very tasty and good value ... Add to that Taco Tuesday offers and you cannot get better value. Definitely one to visit.
James N — Google review
Not sure if we went on a bad day but we found our food to be sub-par, not a lot of flavours and the meat was pretty dry. The drinks were good and i liked the prawn and octopus tostada but the tacos weren’t great. Wasn’t a fan of the zocalo corn, definitely down to taste preference as my partner liked it but mentioned mine was undercooked compared to his as the corn was harder. The price is steep, especially for the size and portions they give.
Tam N — Google review
The corn tacos were absolutely delicious , crisp packed with flavor and super fresh ingredients. The quesadillas were cheesy and perfectly cooked. Everything tasted authentic and made with care. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots for Mexican food in the area. We’ll be coming back for sure!
Rohini W — Google review
Who knew that there would be a place that serves the best authentic Mexican cuisine just 5 minutes from Surrey Quays station? We came on a quiet weekday for early dinner with locals hanging out enjoying their happy hour drinks. After realising that it’s our first time dining at the restaurant, the chef was kind enough to run us through every single dish and what we should be expecting… and dare I say that each dish was absolutely memorable. Zocalo Corn - 3.5/5⭐️ Starchy, glutinous and just so filling! The portion was generous but I just wish there was a bit more to the sauce as we eventually find the dish to be a bit bland - maybe just a bit more spice to the Queso and it’ll be perfect! Nachos with Guacamole - 4.5/5⭐️ The black bean sauce and salsa was to die for. Not overpowering salty with a perfect hint of tang and spiciness that gets you scraping the bottom of the dish! Pastor Quesadilla - 5/5⭐️ simply unforgettable. The pork was tender and packed with flavour while the onions, cilantro and pineapple elevated the dish to the next level, introducing a nice crunch and hints of sweetness to every bite. Lamb Birria Tacos - 4/5⭐️ As the chef said, this dish is certainly the perfect hangover cure! The broth on the side was hearty and bursting with meaty flavours, and by dipping the taco in, it completely eliminates the gaminess of the lamb, adding heat and depth to the dish FOOD: 4/5⭐️ SERVICE: 4.5/5⭐️ ATMOSPHERE: 4/5⭐️ OVERALL: 4/5⭐️
Sabrina C — Google review
This place is such a hidden gem! Warm and friendly welcome. We went on taco Tuesday not even realising where tacos are £6! The baja prawns were my favourite and were absolutely delicious. It was our first time and even received some complimentary things on the house to try as we’re new to the area.
Eadaoin M — Google review
My boyfriend and I had an amazing meal at La Chingada! The lamb birria was incredible—so tender and flavorful, and the broth that comes with it is pure magic. I could honestly drink it by the bucket. Everything tasted so authentic, and the atmosphere was super fun and welcoming. Plus, my tacos were gluten-free, which was a huge bonus! If you're looking for legit Mexican food, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!

Thai restaurant
Nestled near Kings Cross station, Supawan Thai Food is a charming café that stands out amidst the bustling restaurant scene of Coal Drops Yard. With its vibrant dining room designed by chef Wichet Khongphoon, this spot is perfect for everything from casual after-work drinks to lively Saturday night dinners. The menu features classic Thai dishes like rich Penang chicken curry and zesty tom yum noodles, alongside an array of tantalizing appetizers such as crispy prawns and stuffed chicken wings.
I have been trying Thai restaurants all over the UK and I can confidently say that this one is the best I've found so far! I don't know how I missed it before, as it was recommended to me by a business partner in London. I'm Thai and originally from the southern part of Thailand and the food here truly reminds me of home😭 I only wish I lived closer!
Kwang S — Google review
Possibly the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten, everything had so much flavour and the food really packs a punch. Highly recommend ordering loads of things to share so that you can try more than one thing. The homemade ice cream was a lovely way to end the meal. Also to say the staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming; they even sang happy birthday to my dad without me asking them to! It’s not cheap but the food is well worth it.
Daisy L — Google review
I come here so often, but I just realised I’ve never written a review, which feels so unfair to a place I truly love and always enjoy visiting! The staff are always well-trained, and the owner is incredibly attentive to every detail. I love how he personally comes around to say hello to every table at some point during the day, catch him if you can! Lol I actually have lots more pictures and videos than this! This place is truly one of my all-time favourite Southern Thai restaurants in the UK! I really respect how authentic the flavours are and how carefully the owner sources and imports the ingredients directly from Southern Thailand. Some of them aren’t easy to find! you literally have to get them from locals in the south! But I have to warn you… this is not the restaurant for anyone who can’t handle spicy food! 🌶️🔥 I absolutely love dishes that are rich in flavour and full of heat and Southern Thai cuisine is exactly that: bold, unique, spicy, and packed with herbs. Beware! it might make your heart race (in the best way)! 😂 I truly admire that the owner hasn’t toned down the flavours for the British market. It’s so original and incredibly delicious!

I’ve been on the hunt for great Thai food since moving to London, and after my first visit to Supawan, I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve had here. The food is authentic and bursting with flavour—you can really tell it’s cooked with care. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and dishes came out hot and fresh as they were ready. We started with the Laab Aubergine and Pee Kai Yud Sai (stuffed chicken wings). The aubergine had a perfect sweet-sour balance—my mouth waters just thinking about it—and the wings were excellent too. For mains, we had Dad’s Beef Curry and the Kha-nom Jeen Namya Poo (crab curry with rice noodles), plus a side of Train Egg Fried Rice. Everything was sensational. The spice brought a warm, lingering heat—not too much, but those with low tolerance might find it challenging. My boyfriend loved the fried rice, and I was spooning crab curry straight from the bowl. So good. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and freshness—especially considering the location near King’s Cross. I’ll definitely be going back—there are so many other dishes I’m excited to try.

Probably one of the best and most unique Thai restaurant I have been to. Homely and full of plants, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Some unusual starters like chicken wing stuffed with minced meat and noodles, crispy rice salad, corn fritters. And the southern Thai mains : melting pork belly, dad’s beef curry with pea aubergine, crab with rice noodles were absolutely delicious. Leave space for their home made ice cream

Lovely looking thai place, cute and cosy inside and nice attentive staff. However the portion size was underwhelming considering it's more expensive than most Thai places in the area. Paying about 3-5 pound more for a curry but getting less was not ideal. Spice level was over the top and I love spicy food, it was to a level that didn't boost the flavours but was just hot to be hot. We didn't get wine as that was also overpriced versus other restaurants.

A bit pricey but totally worth it. Meiang phuket (grilled prawns) is the most delicious thing I've ever eaten in my life, highly recommended! Staff very nice, fast service and beautifully decorated restaurant. I'm very happy.

Very busy restaurant, the waiters all seem to be extremely busy and therefore not very welcoming services. Cooking was right on spot and feel authentic, we liked our pork belly dish a lot, but the crab vermicelli noodles was a light disappointment, especially given the price point. The aubergine starter was interesting.

Chick 'n' Sours is a modern twist on the classic combination of sour cocktails and fried chicken dishes. One of its standout offerings is the K-POP sandwich, featuring a crispy fried thigh with gochujang mayo, chili vinegar, sriracha sour cream, and spicy slaw. This establishment has been credited with introducing many to the concept of Korean fried chicken.
Recently visited Chick’n’Sours for the second time, and it was as good as I remembered. The chicken is just absolutely next level, some of the best I’ve ever eaten. To start we had some of their special wings which were Indian inspired. The light curry flavour worked so well with the curry sauce - I could have eaten about 100 of them. For main course I had the Seoul Destroyer burger, which had a Korean twist. The kimchi worked so well with the crisp chicken and the other delicious sauces - it is a top-tier burger. The sides were all great too, the cucumber salad was the highlight. The drinks were nice too, and the service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurants a bit of a tight squeeze, but it’s worth getting cozy for the chicken. I will definitely be back again to sample some more of their insanely good chicken wings!

Really enjoyed this place. Was looked after by Helen, Whitney, and Xavier who saw I was eating alone. No matter how good the food was (and it was excellent) they made my evening. Menu is extensive and really caters for people who want to challenge their taste buds. it's all about the taste. I ate downstairs and whilst not cramped was bijou. However, this magnified the ambience and the tables were out for a good night helped by the staff. Staff were young and trendy but also caring whilst being efficient. They wanted you to have a good time. I spent £19 on a beer and 6 chicken wings which anywhere other than Central London would be expensive. There, it's the price you pay and was no more expensive than anywhere else whist being far better than most other places. Place was clean as well as the facilities which are gender neutral. Would happily recommend.

Wings lack flavour, the only taste came from the korean and mayo sauce. They tasted of old chicked and didnt taste fresh. The chicken burgers had a good crunch but had no real flavour. Chips were ok. Service is good, complained about the wings and a new portion was given but still tasted very chicken-y. Average price £17 for one course meal and a drink or beer. Atmosphere was good, cool vibe and very busy.

Love the menu. There are many restaurants that does chicken wings and fried chicken. But Chicken n Sours is at another level. There is a good selection of chicken sandwiches. We were stuck at choosing … The sides are amazing. Love love the pickled watermelon salad. Refreshing and tangy. Perfect for hot sticky days. Beef dripping fries also good. My partner went for the K-pop sandwich and loved it. I had the House fried with the seaweed crust, super tasty. Chicken has a very nice crunch. Cocktails are great too! We were in a rush to the theatre and everything came out quickly. Staff very friendly. We sat outside. Can’t wait to come back for the wings. And the great sides. Great place for pre-theatre bite or any lazy weekends for some cocktails. It’s fun. 🤩

We chose this as a dinner spot for the break between the two Harry Potter performances. It is really convenient for the Palace Theatre. There are a few tables for 2 outside but the main tables are downstairs in a well air conditioned room. It isn't a huge restaurant and yes you are relatively close to one another but it isn't unpleasantly packed. Everyone including the other guests were very positive and up beat. The chicken was excellent. I had the General Burger and my daughter had the Buffalo Soldier. I would absolutely go again!

We came here for dinner, there were only 3 small tables on ground level outside the shop and the rest of the seating are in the lower floor. We ordered the famous chicken toast which was so delicious. The chicken thighs burger had an amazing tase .we have order chicken pops( not sure about the name see the pics) and they were surprisingly yummy with all the flavours combined together! It was one of the best dinners i had in this area

Trendy spot with the feel of a club but the heart and soul of a chicken shack. Coming right in the door you're in for a treat seeing the kitchen in action. It can get busy quite fast but the staff are equipped with handling a rush and making you feel right at home. Whether dining alone or with a group this is a place to begin a night out. The chicken sandwiches are packed full of flavor with great side dishes that stand right up there with the bird. You can order a whole fried chicken two days in advance. Whether you drink or not they have cocktails or local sodas that go well with the food. Overall, it's hard to go wrong with any order here.

Chick ‘N’ Collaborations are the BEST! There’s a lot of love in the room at Chick’N’Sours that I wanted to come back for not just one, but two of their recent collaborations. The Sambal Shiok burger was a cheeky drop the mic collab to start the year, with Mandy’s legendary Malay satay flavory. Featuring chicken breaded with satay spices, tomato Sambal, lime slaw to slam in some zing, before finishing with their classic peanut satay sauce. What a dream team and one I couldn’t resist complimenting with Chick’N’Sours famous chicken toast in tamarind chilli caramel and green slaw, that you can get all year at Covent Garden. Next up we had a night with Hash Hut. A really fun menu of hash potato winking with fond adoration towards chicken dressed up in crunchy bling, creatively coming together on our table. I feel flustered just thinking about it again! ‘Snacks’ which were very generous, included the likes of popcorn style bites of hash browns and fried chicken, with noodle crack and sriracha sour cream, hash rounds with chicken ragu and kimchi (a personal favourite) and stuffed chicken wings that looked like they could arm wrestle you. All delicious, before the drum roll sounded and hash stacks with sides landed on our table like a mythical city of gold. Gochujang slaw, Kung pao tenders, chilli and pickles were laid on stacks of hash browns, broken up with pickled watermelon and bang bang cucumbers. You couldn’t get a more imaginative serving, but with soft serve dessert, hash brown churros and miso caramel, the guys gave us an achingly good bigger smile. There was fab energy on the night with David and his lovely team at Chick’N’Sours being like sizzling chicken in the fryer to team up with wicked people making incredible food that don’t often get the recognition they deserve. It’s that kind of heart that reminds you why some places are a bucket of Hospitality you keep coming back to. Thanks guys!

Nestled on a corner of Brick Lane, StickyWings is a hidden gem that may look unassuming from the outside but promises an unforgettable culinary experience inside. This vibrant eatery specializes in mouthwatering chicken wings, offering flavors like American Buffalo, Sticky BBQ, Jerk, and Hot Chilli. Guests can choose between two serving sizes—11 wings or six wings—both served with crispy fries and delightful dips.
Everytime we go to London, we always visit here! I've been waiting to have some good wings in the UK, since my recent trip to the USA. This place was perfect, casual just like in America. The menu was great, maybe just a few more side options would be great. The chicken quality was awesome. Staff were friendly.

Not really local, but my local Sunday spot! Best Buffalo Wings in London!! Been going to this joint for 2 years more than once a week! The owners are a great couple and so are the rest of the family/employees!! Definitely my favourite gaff!

Crispy wings covered in buffalo sauce with chips. We order the US portion, 11 wings for £11. UK portion is 6 wings for £8, wouldn't recommend this as the wings are a bit on the smaller side. Taste wise the wings were juicy and flavourful. Friendly staff and chilled atmosphere. Wait time was about 20 minutes. Would come back if I'm in brick lane again.

Fantastic hidden gem serving up great sized portions at reasonable prices. Service is great too and the wings are lovely. I ordered the 11 wings with Jerk and Spicy Sauces. Both were nice but preferred the spicy ones. 👍🏽

A nice little joint , waited a long time for my order which I don't mind when the food comes out nice and hot, however was not the case , my wings were hot but my chips were cold , was dissatisfied because I waited 20 minutes. However they did change them straight away for some hot ones. Wings were very tasty too ! I got buffalo and spicy , the American size portion. Was about £12 it total. Service is fine the lady was up beat and sweet. Don't recommend the cheese dip wasn't really for me. They have a nice selection of condiments on the table so not a big issue.

Came here for a birthday lunch. We tried all the flavours of the wings, Buffalo, Jerk, Chilli and BBQ. Could do with more flavouring and heat (chilli). Wings are freshly made to order and they do taste sooo good. I just personally think a little bit more flavouring needed especially for the jerk, could do with more Jerk flavouring, but don't get me wrong, the wings are very nice. Definitely a must try and return to type of place. Oh and one last thing, the lovely lady who took our order was very very nice and kind. Excellent customer service and explained how everything works and was very helpful. Well done!

Wow what an amazing restaurant, my first time here and not disappointed at all. The venue is nice, the staff are very friendly and food is amazing! Myself and my work colleague popped in for lunch after hearing all the good reviews and boy they weren't wrong. I had half Buffalo and half Chilli boneless breast and he had half Buffalo and half Spicy Strawberry boneless breast and they were all gorgeous. My favourite were the Chilli ones but all very very nice. I will definitely be going back again if ever in the area 100%.

Ramen restaurant
Restaurant
Nanban is a lively Japanese dining spot with a historical twist, named after the term used for the first European visitors to Japan. MasterChef champ Tim Anderson puts an international spin on traditional Japanese dishes using flavors from Brixton Market. The menu features ramen, gyoza, curries, and burgers infused with gochujang, along with matcha affogatos for dessert.
For starters we went for Prawn Karaage which are plump red Atlantic prawns, lightly floured and deep-fried - it was so good dipped in their yuzu-chilli mayo! We also had Hanetsuki gyoza which had a good amount of pork filling and such a crispy crust! For drinks we wanted to try something from their impressive selection of hot drinks! We had the Kyoto Oolong which is a rare organic oolong tea from Japan which we really liked!! We also ordered a Green Velvet Matcha but it was too bitter for us! For mains we ordered the Yaki-Udon with mixed seafood which is stir-fried udon with Chinese leaf, carrots, and shiitake topped with fried shallots, pickled ginger, Japanese mayo and katsuobushi - loved this dish! We also ordered the Lazy Goat Ragù-men which we both really wanted to try because of how unique it sounded and it was 6th in @timeoutlondon best dishes 2018! It is slow cooked boneless goat leg and thick noodles in a rich and spicy Indo-Caribbean curry sauce, topped with Scotch bonnet bamboo shoots, fried shallots, seafood sawdust and a tea-pickled egg. This isn’t a combination of ingredients we would think to put together but it works so well and is such an explosion of flavours! - @eatwithlaki

Not as good as it used to be. Ordered the vegetable tempura but it was unseasoned down to the sauce it came with. Was silently wishing they put soy sauce on the tables. I had similar or worse issues with my ramen. The Ramen for Faye Wong. It said infused with yuzu but it was more like it was drowning in yuzu. Dont think it was made right. Everyone around the table tried it in shock. Sorry but the worst ramen I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot.
Ivana E — Google review
Had the food take away from this place after some great reviews from couple of people. Overall it was good but not exceptional. The fried chicken was nice but could do with more balance of flavour. The ramen soup flavour seemed really strong and a little on the salty side. The noodle was a little over cooked and mushy by the time it was delivered which is slightly a shame as there was not much soup left. It may be worth to try in the restaurant so I may try it to eat in next time.
Bonsai N — Google review
Some of the best ramen we’ve had! So flavoursome, food was perfect with all the right textures. The veggie options are fab! We went last night and cannot get over how good the food was!
Tanvi S — Google review
I give Nanban 4 stars for the novelty (overall 3). The idea of the food here is so cool, it's a Japanese and Caribbean fusion AND they use local fresh ingredients. The menu is a fun and informative read, I love how much effort they put into designing the recipe and explaining the food and drinks. HOWEVER - I don't understand why some of the dishes are so incredibly salty (you'll see quite a few other customers in the review agree with me too), which absolutely killed my appetite. This is definitely your kinda place if you like salty food but if not, avoid the ramen, chicken karaage and acke & fish koroke . On the plus side - I loved the creative use of yuzu and miso, and really recommend the salmon, mushroom and sweet potato tapas. I liked their dessert, the kanbanana and gamari-misu. Also recommend the Boys to the yard cocktail, it's so yum.
Shuntao L — Google review
Be warned: the Lazy Goat ramen has intense heat! I suggest trying that one and the Kumamoto pork ramen. Also, this restaurant has really comfortable seating which I appreciate (a lot of similar ramen places don’t). Good spot for groups.
Gina L — Google review
Known for Japanese soul food. The menu had interesting dishes which are not served in your typical Japanese restaurant. We ordered a variety, just because I wanted to try everything. 1kg of angry bird chicken wings were succulent and tasty. I really wanted to eat more but they were too spicy for me... The karaage were one of the best I've had and mushrooms were good. Ramen were too salty and other dishes were not as impressive. I was eager to try the matcha tiramisu, but wasn't impressed with that either. However, the Nanbanana was surprisingly good and the crisply noodles added a moreish texture. Wheelchair access: it's quite narrow and very busy, with a small step at the entrance. Staff kept bumping into my wheels. There are no accessible toilets either (marked down a star for not being wheelchair friendly)
Sau T — Google review
Took us as a late booking with no fuss on a Friday night. Cocktails were excellent and the small plates were brilliant. The fried chicken was ridiculously crispy and the the angry birds were unreal. The sweet potato had ponzu butter on which was a mix of confusing and delicious. We only had room for one desert and we went for the bananamban and it was also fantastic, contrasting temperatures, texture and sweet and salt brilliantly. I would highly recommend.

Morleys Fried Chicken Southwark is a beloved working-class establishment that originated in southeast London in 1985 and has since expanded to other locations. The fried chicken is known for being hot, juicy, and well-marinated, with generous portions of chips. It also offers halal chicken and receives a high hygiene rating. While the staff may not always be top-notch, the delicious food more than makes up for it.

Just went to the one in Woking the bbq chicken was horrible had a bad smell to it, worst chicken shop I have ever been too.
Nadiya R — Google review
I had high expectations for the Morleys restaurant based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The food I received was completely different from what was displayed on the screen, and it lacked any flavor or taste. It seemed like the food was just reheated or microwaved instead of being freshly prepared, which made me feel like they were cutting corners to save costs. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs, and I plan to report them to the food standards agency.

Easily the worst burger I have eaten. We tried the chicken one and the chilli one. The chicken one was burned. They even refused to take it back. The chilli one, the patty tasted like rubber. I don't usually leave bad reviews but *please* avoid this place.

Shockingly burnt chicken. The kitchen staff denied to take the order back (which we didn’t have a single bite of cos it was pure charcoal) and made all sorts of excuses about how the chicken piece was too thick and it had to be fried for 7 minutes...appalling customer service.

Don't bother with the vegan brisket. It was just bland soya mince put on top of chips which just made the whole thing mushy. Couldn't be further from brisket if they tried.

The British Library is a treasure trove of knowledge and history, boasting over 200 million items in its vast collection. Among its impressive holdings are the Magna Carta, handwritten Beatles lyrics, original writings from literary giants like Charles Dickens and Shakespeare, Michelangelo's anatomical illustrations, ancient maps, sacred texts, and even music from various eras. Visitors can explore the Treasures of the British Library Gallery to marvel at some of its most significant pieces.
I came here today after almost a 50 year gap. What a wonderful experience to be back. I got a reader's card and went to the Science Reading Room. I was not amazed by the huge number of people with laptops, but I was very delighted to see a few readers with a book! The Library has a vast area for free study. Also you get food and drink easily! There are on many occasions free exhibitions. This is a wonderful place to escape to for a day!

A library may not typically be on a tourist’s must-see list, but the Treasures Gallery at the British Library is well worth a stop on your visit to London. This free, permanent exhibition showcases some of the world’s most iconic works, including Leonardo da Vinci’s notebooks, Beethoven’s music books, the Beatles’ handwritten lyric notes, the Magna Carta, and the Gutenberg Bible - offering a rare chance to see these remarkable artifacts from across cultures and centuries up close. Highly recommended!

Don’t go if you have a bag. I had an hour to kill before a train from Euston, a friend suggested going along to the library rather than a bookshop. I thought I’d do the civic minded thibg and enquire about membership and have a browse in the shop. I had a wheeled ‘carry on’ style case with me, the sort it’s fine to take onto a plane as hand luggage. The security guard stopped me and I expected him to check my bag, he didn’t want to do that, he told me to put it in bag measuring frame (the sort airlines use). “No problem chum.” quoth I. And slipped ybe bag into the frame. It fitted. “Oh no, not vertically, you have to put in horizontally.” The wheels meant it sat on top of the frame and so no entry for me. I was going to say ko entry for me this time but actually no entry for me ever - if your staff are this petty then I won’t be back. For scale, bag pictured with handle extended and blazer hung over it. It really isn’t a big bag.

It also has a branch at Boston Spa in West Yorkshire for storage and internal collections. The library houses an astonishing 170–200 million items, including nearly 14 million books, manuscripts, maps, sound recordings, stamps, and more, growing by roughly 3 million items every year. Admission to the library is free, although a Reader Pass is required to access the reading rooms and collections. Most exhibitions, such as the Treasures Gallery, are free to visit, while some special exhibitions may have a small fee. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of on-site facilities. There are spacious reading rooms and study spaces with accessible furniture, cafés like The Last Word and the Terrace Restaurant, shops offering books and prints, cloakrooms and lockers, free Wi‑Fi, and comprehensive accessibility features including wheelchair access, hearing loops, and assistance for visitors with disabilities. It’s a shame this place has moved from where it used to be round the corner as it used to feel much more cosy and have much more atmosphere even though it was loud last night it felt flat. The food was ok but I think it was expensive for what it was which was 1 BBQ chicken strips and 1 BBQ chicken wings and a portion of Fries plus 2 Raspberrylicious cocktails but again were nice but half of the cocktail glass was just ice, total price was £51 which we feel we could have gone somewhere else for a similar price and had a better experience. Staff were friendly, it was loud but we could still talk normally. Not sure I’d go again with so many other places to go locally.

Went for a birthday and the staff were so great, and attended to the birthday girl really well. I ordered buffalo wings (starter) and mac and cheese (as a side) and a diet coke and it was a 10/10, the vibe was great inside and it was perfect for a night in London - tiny bit pricey but nothing i wouldn’t expect in london. I also went with around 16 other people and they adapted the tables for us - there are different floors and seats for any amount of people.

Visited this restaurant with my partner and had a lovely time. We were quickly seated outside and ordered steak fajitas and the taco salad. Both were delicious, but the absolute can’t-miss is the lemongrass lemonade. Delightful! Our waiter was very friendly and talked to us about additional places to visit while we were in town. Highly recommended.

The London Transport Museum is a top destination for transport enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Located in the vibrant Covent Garden area, it showcases an impressive collection of vintage London trams, trains, buses, and iconic vehicles like the red Routemaster buses. Visitors can explore historic tube carriages, admire retro travel posters spanning a century, and even experience driving a tube train simulator.
The London Transport Museum is an absolute delight for all ages! It beautifully showcases how London’s transport system evolved — from horse-drawn carriages to iconic red buses and the Underground. The exhibits are interactive, informative, and very well presented. The vintage vehicles and classic Tube designs bring back nostalgia, while the hands-on sections make it perfect for kids too. A must-visit for anyone curious about London’s past and how its world-famous transport network came to life!

A lovely museum with some great interactive exhibits for kids to enjoy. Lots of great information on the history of the rail tube and bus networks. The old poster advertisements are a lovely treat. The gift shop is a bit pricey but that was to be expected the only thing stopping a 5 star review is the entry price, this price should be halved at the very least.
Sick C — Google review
Well. It's a mixed feeling bag. The museum itself is great with great collection of transport vehicles, a lot of information to read etc. But I didn't like that there is not enough for kids to learn in the empirical way. Lots of reading but not much experimental displays (how engines work, how steam engine works etc.). The simulators did not work properly, the screens kept switching off, staff said "it's rebooting" but after 15 minutes standing in a queue and watching the black screen, nothing rebooted. The play area although has some nice concept, it's poorly executed, only for little kids. Vehicles available to climb but plexiglass screens everywhere preventing to go further. Brooklands have more! Overall, the place is great for older/elder transport/vehicle enthusiast who like to read but, not for families with under 10s. We have visited great places like Railway Kingdom in Prague, Czech Republic - Czeck (😉) them out and maybe some inspiration will come. And the building is sooooo cold! The warmest place were toilets but only cold water in taps (really?). Wanted to leave quickly and not focus on displays as I got soo cold. Shop has nice things but everything overpriced, too. But that is London, eh.

Our visit to the London Transport Museum was absolutely fantastic — a perfect family day out that delighted all three of us! My wife, our 5-year-old son, and I spent an entire afternoon exploring the fascinating history of London’s transport system, and we could easily have stayed even longer. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by how beautifully the museum is organized. It takes you on a journey through time — from the horse-drawn carriages of the 1800s, through the early underground trains, right up to the sleek modern buses and Tube carriages we see today. The displays are engaging and full of interesting details that bring the city’s transport story to life. What made this visit truly special, though, was how family-friendly it is. Our son had an incredible time with all the interactive exhibits and play zones designed for children. He especially loved pretending to drive a red double-decker bus and exploring the mini Tube simulator — he didn’t want to leave! The museum does an amazing job of blending learning with play, so both kids and adults are entertained and informed. The staff were warm, helpful, and clearly passionate about the museum’s mission. The museum shop was also well-stocked with lovely souvenirs — our son insisted on getting a toy Routemaster bus to remember the day. Overall, the London Transport Museum is a must-visit, whether you’re a history enthusiast, a transport lover, or a family looking for an educational yet fun experience. We left with smiles, great memories, and a newfound appreciation for how London moves!

An absolute treat for anyone who loves transit systems! The life-sized carriage models and evolution to modern buses were incredible. The highlight was seeing how London’s design and branding evolved—from Harry Beck’s iconic Tube map to today’s sleek system. A must-visit for design and transport enthusiasts alike.

They don't have a casual or one time ticket so I had to get an annual pass of £25. Definitely great if you live in London and can go there to hangout whenever you feel like to, it's a fun place! I still really enjoyed seeing and learning about the changes of transportation in London.

Nice museum located in Covent Garden. Lots of information and insights into transportation that has evolved over last two centuries. Need about 2 hours to have a good view on an average busy day. Informative and fun for all ages.

Nice museum covering history of public transport in London. While stories covered are good, it surely felt like too much reading - having larger verity would be much nicer. Provided map gives a good idea of where should you go next, with the exception that we were not able to locate initial elevator :D. Nice museum for one visit, but I don’t feel I will be returning soon.

The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch is a vibrant and industrial space that offers live blues music, dancing, and Cajun-BBQ dining. Their bottomless brunch experience features a combination of breakfast classics like huevos rancheros and customizable eggs, along with fluffy buttermilk pancakes, all accompanied by 90 minutes of unlimited Rum Punch or Prosecco for an additional fee.
Food, drinks, ambience, service - 10/10!! Blues Kitchen is always such a good time and the standard is consistent. Would highly recommend the Popcorn Squid and Buffalo Wings as a starter. Their Brisket Sandwich and Cheeseburger is always a hit as well - perfectly cooked and extremely flavourful. I tried the Salmon for the first time yesterday and it was, as expected, sensational -marinated and cooked to perfection. The staff are always super accommodating which really adds to the experience :)

We waited for our cocktails for about 40 minutes. The waitresses were pushy, constantly trying to get us to order more food. I even went to the bar to cancel my order because waiting 40 minutes for cocktails, despite reminding them several times, is simply unacceptable. As soon as I complained and cancelled, the waitress came and asked us to pay for the food we hadn’t even finished yet. Awful! I was very disappointed. One of the cocktails we did receive tasted so bad that my partner couldn’t even drink it. Before the musicians started playing, we had about an hour and a half to enjoy our food and drinks — but we didn’t enjoy it at all. Once the music began, it was so loud that I couldn’t hear the waitress, my partner, or even myself. It felt more like a nightclub than a blues venue. I was expecting a real blues atmosphere. I had wanted to visit this place for a long time, but it turned out to be more about showing off than about quality. And it was so expensive! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent first time visit! All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, checked in on us multiple times and said thank you as we left. Service was spot on. Appreciated being given a jug of tap water straight away without even having to ask too. Food was so tasty, we had the pork belly rib, and bacon cheeseburger, both dishes were great but particularly the pork belly rib - I would come back just for that! 😋 Decor was cool and overall nice relaxed atmosphere (we dined around 5:30pm so before it gets busy). Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

Hands down, my new, absolute, favorite spot in London! Far away from all the touristy spots, this hidden, not-so-hidden, spot is a gem amongst the other establishments close by!!! From the door security, Justina, to one of the most fantastic waiters we have ever had (Daryl), and bar server (Michelle), the place radiates with a charming atmosphere screaming, "come and stay awhile." I was pleasantly surprised by the delectable aroma and essence of flavors that burst in my mouth from the smoked port rib (fell off the bone!!!!), and the earthy and nutty tastes of cheese from the macaroni and cheese. Daryl recommended the mac n cheese which I was hesitant about but glad I tried it! Daryl and Michelle managed to turn a routine work task of serving customers into a joyful, memorable evening simply by being attentive to our needs and having good conversation. Kudos to the restaurant manager for stopping by the table several times to check in on services. Well done! The staff worked well together and did so gracefully and happily. The drinks were well made! The live band was playing good soul music that encourage you to bop and sway while indulging in the atmosphere and your company. Timeless scenery and decorating... England has a sophistication with that that America can't match! A+..... I could stay there forever if I wasn't full from the delicious meal! Easily accessible place I'd visit all the time if I were a local. Thanks for a wonderful evening, all because of an outside conversation with a door staff. You're a wonderful person Justina! A+!

The Blues Kitchen Brixton is a vibrant blues bar that perfectly marries the soulful sounds of live music with mouthwatering hickory-smoked comfort food. Known for its Texan BBQ and bourbon cocktails, this venue serves up delicious spicy Buffalo wings, especially enticing during their bottomless Sundays. The atmosphere is electric, filled with the rhythms of soul, jazz, and R&B from talented live bands and DJs.
Went for dinner here. I thought it was a bar/music type place but genuinely surprised at how good the kitchen is. I had a tostada, chicken burger and mac & cheese. I'll be back for some other dishes. The service was good but the food definitely took a little to long, around 1 1/2 hours from arriving to finished eating so be prepared to sit and chill.

Had about 12 people booked for my nieces birthday and had a lovely evening. Our Waitress Summer was amazing, treated and welcomed us with a lovely smile and excellent practice in patient's, the kind of experiance I expect from any professional establishment. Had the pop corn squid and the seared salmon with mango. The squid was cooked well and flavoursome with a healthy portion as a starter. The salmon was good, cooked well and flaked off nicely. The only negative I would say to the experiance was the music could have been a tad quieter just for the sake of conversation but otherwise no problems at all.

Blues Kitchen is a vibrant restaurant and live music venue. I have yet to try the food, but the drinks are well made and staff are always friendly, helpful, and busy! My last experience wasn't the best. The lack of AC made watching the live music very uncomfortable. The band and singers were sweating. It just didn't feel great.

The Wellcome Collection is a museum and library founded by 19th-century pharmacist Sir Henry Wellcome. It focuses on the connection between medicine, art, and wellbeing. The collection features rotating exhibits that explore various aspects of health and its impact on people's lives. One major exhibition called "Hard Graft: Work, Health and Rights" delves into the experiences of physical work in different settings such as plantations, streets, and domestic spaces.
Amazing. Lots of free exhibitions that were interesting, thought provoking and very inclusive. Each room has an audio guide for the displays, with a blind walkway and bumps to show when to stop, a sensory booklet showing where lights/sounds etc are, lots of seating throughout and big lockers for bags (free), a transcript of the audio of any videos in a variety of font sizes for deaf people to experience it too. Hugely inclusive and well worth a visit. There were free sanitary products in the toilets In a dispenser which was very cool to see! There was a fun activity to do in the Zine exhibition and staff were very friendly and helpful!

It's a free museum with free interesting exhibitions. I went to The Reading Room expecting it to be quiet but it was not so. I was told by their staff that people are allowed to talk, laugh and make noise in The Reading Room. One woman brought her toddler into The Reading Room and treated it like a creche. I was told if I wanted a quiet place to read, I should go to their Library which I did and it was much better.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Very disability and neurodiversity friendly. Nice café and shop. Prices in shop were Amazon comparable. Exhibitions are all free and are a fascinating blend of science and thought provoking art. We looked at "Thirst" on the state of water in the world, an exhibitions on what it means to be human, sign language and zine making. We even had a go at making our own zines. Very easy to get to, right opposite Euston Station. Toilets are the future, all individual unisex cubicles with automatic soap and water. Disabled cubicles, baby changing and a hoist toilet also available. Lifts, braille, sensory packs.

Amazing! I really appreciated this visit! It is free of charge and no reservation required. It is it interesting to discover medicine in such a playful way. And the temporary exhibitions are always quite innovative, creative, interdisciplinary and worthy! Friendly staff! Definitely, something you don't hear quite often about it!

Went to 3 interesting exhibitions at the Wellcome Collection - Thirst - In search of Freshwater, Being Human, 1880 That and Finger Talk. The Thirst exhibitions was interesting and informative sharing information on the importance of communities accessing freshwater. Quite shocking to learn only 3% of the water on Earth being freshwater. There are artworks and artefacts displayed at the Reading Room. All exhibitions are free. Friendly staffs. Cafe, free lockers and toilet available. Nearest Tube station - Euston, Euston Square, Warren Street Station.

A free museum that blends science, medicine, and art in a creative. The exhibitions are beautifully curated, especially Being Human, which explores health, and the body. The building is modern and welcoming, with a café, bookshop, and quiet reading room. Perfect for a short visit near Euston.

At Jinjuu Soho, Korean cuisine is fused with modern ingredients to create innovative dishes. Korean tacos are a highlight, with their traditional flavours and unconventional presentation. The BBQ here is delicious, with many different meats and toppings to choose from. It's great for date night, pre-theatre or just about anything else.
Amazing food, wish we had someplace like this back home! Staff was spot on, super attentive, helpful and friendly. Decor was fascinating, kept finding new details to appreciate. Only complaint would be that the handle on the coffee cup was too small for my fingers, making it very awkward to hold the scorching hot cup of delicious coffee.
Adam W — Google review
Food was very nice and flavours were amazing too. The Pork K Tacos stole the show for me. Every bite you took out of it was something different, so much flavour packed in something so small. The Kimchi rice wasn’t the best one I’ve ever had but it was nice. My only drawback will be the service in a way. As we entered, doors were opened for us and seats were pulled out. But after we paid the bill that’s it… it’s like they forget you’re there. Also felt a tad rushed as staff kept coming to the table repeatedly to check if you’re done with the dish.

£12 lunch time meal is the best! Would highly recommend this restaurant! The food and service was fast, fresh and great. The waiter was very helpful with explaining what would be best for us. The actual restaurant itself has a large downstairs area and outdoor dining. Definitely worth a visit!
Harvey S — Google review
The food was nice, the drinks were great, and the portions were decent sizes. The music was a bit too loud for a dinner place, presumably because it was a Saturday, but we had to shout over dinner to hear each other. Also when we asked to take the leftover food for home, they gave us the boxes to pack it ourselves which seemed a bit odd. Overall an interesting experience for sure.
Sara N — Google review
I'm not sure how authentic the food is, but it was lovely! I would highly recommend the chicken and the ribs, and also their homemade dessert. My only "complaint" is that the music, every very good as well, was extremely loud. It didn't allow to have a fluent conversation as we had to be shouting or repeating things. Besides that, loved the experience!
Paula M — Google review
What a delightful find in the heart of Soho, this lovely Korean restaurant is such a welcoming place it's impossible not to stop. The waiters were absolutely great guys, feeding a GF and Vegan might have been tricky but the guys had a great sense of humour and the service was attentive and laid back, one could really not have asked for more. We sat outside and the tables and chairs were religiously sprayed and cleaned, the food was fresh and beautifully presented, the flavours well balanced. The Mushrooms Tacos were refreshing and light and I loved the citrus fragrance, a great combination with black beans and avocado. Perfectly breaded tofu bites were crunchy and tasty, complemented by a sweet chilli sauce. I was impressed with the service and the standards, I will definitely go back and try more options. Highly recommended

Had a great time dining at Jinjuu Soho on a weekday. The vibe was super cosy and inviting, the staff were friendly, and it's in such a great central location, so it’s a shame it has recently closed permanently. Our two favourite dishes were the Korean fried chicken, which comes with different sauces, and the sautéed king prawns japchae (Korean stir-fried glass noodles) - they're absolutely delicious!
Tony — Google review
Jinjuu offers great atmosphere with amazing interior and easy going vibes and music. The choice of cocktails was extensive and every one I tried left me wanting another. For starters I had the sliders with fried tofu which were just the right size, the flavours were great and I enjoyed it thoroughly. My friend had the wings which he also liked. For my main I chose the vegan cauliflower dish which was my favourite part of the whole evening, it was crispy and just the right texture - not too overcooked or undercooked. The sauces that came in tiny bottles were a great idea because I could control the amount I wanted and tasted fantastic. Overall I enjoyed the food a lot. Bonus of the whole evening was the interior of the toilets. It had posters of k-pop stars all over the walls which I thought was amazing ! If I had to pick on anything, I'd say because we came at a time when not many people were at the restaurant, the staff kept coming up to us asking us for our order when we were just enjoying our drink and conversation so we felt a little bit pressured to order food. Other than that it's a hip and vibrant place and I would definitely recommend it.

Columbia Road Flower Market is a vibrant and bustling market that takes place every Sunday in London. The street transforms into a floral paradise with stalls offering an array of bouquets, shrubs, pot plants, and herbs. While it can get crowded, arriving early allows for a leisurely stroll to admire the colorful displays. Beyond the flowers, visitors can explore nearby cafes, delis, galleries, and antique stores.
Lively flower market that takes place every Sunday on Columbia Road. Lots of options to choose from, and I’d say the prices are decent too. On the same road there are also lots of shops selling all sorts of things, from plant pots and ceramics, to vintage clothes, coffee shops and bakeries, books and antiques. All in all it’s a great way to spend a few hours if you are in the area.
Patricia S — Google review
Open every Sunday 0800-1500, Prices are good and the quality of the cut flowers is exceptional. We have bought flowers many times and they always last much longer than those that are shop bought. House plant prices are excellent, so if looking for a large or unusual house plant this is the place to come. Lots of places to stop for a coffee and do some people watching.
Nick — Google review
Columbia Road Flower Market is a lively, colourful street full of plants and flowers of every kind. Stalls are packed with fresh bunches and potted plants and the sellers shout their offers which gives it a fun atmosphere. It does get very crowded so it is better to go early if you can. Prices are reasonable for London, for example I saw hydrangeas at four for £25 and big houseplants starting at about £15. Even if you are not buying much it is enjoyable to walk along, look at the flowers and grab a coffee from one of the small cafés nearby. Pricey but it’s worth it
Jennifer — Google review
What a gem. This is such a cute, relaxed market. You should go early, around 10, after that, it's to crowded. You'll have a nice stroll along the stalls and don't forget the backstreet at the end. On the way back you can go shop in, shop out, there are many cute souvenirs to find.
Annemiek B — Google review
Because the weather has suddenly turned cold, there aren’t many types of flowers available, but many people are buying indoor potted plants that can be grown in winter. The market usually quiets down around 3 p.m., and since they start offering discounts then, if you arrive around 2 p.m., you can get a 10–20% discount for cash payments. After Halloween, things will get busy again with Christmas preparations. In fact, even when the weather is nice, it’s a great place to recommend to tourists who can’t buy fresh flowers, as there are plenty of food stalls nearby and a small coffee takeaway run by a man who once won first place in a barista competition—so it’s always lively with regular visitors. If you’re around Brick Lane or Shoreditch, I highly recommend visiting the Sunday Market, open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Louise L — Google review
A lovely and vibrant market, but it’s time for more awareness. Columbia Road Flower Market is such a charming place to visit. Full of colour, atmosphere and friendly energy. I love wandering through the stalls on a Sunday morning and seeing all the beautiful flowers and plants on display. However, as someone who cares deeply about biodiversity, I was quite disappointed to find that most of the sellers couldn’t tell me whether their plants were native or non-native species. This difference really matters, because many people buy plants hoping to support bees and butterflies, but if the species aren’t native, they often don’t actually help local wildlife. What also concerns me is that most of the plants seem to be treated with pesticides, and the vendors don’t share any information about this. After planting several flowers I bought here, I sadly found many dead bees and bumblebees in my garden the following weeks. That’s extremely worrying. It would be a wonderful step forward if some stalls offered pesticide-free, UK-grown native plants, or if sellers were a bit more informed and transparent about what they sell. This market has such great potential to not only bring joy, but also to truly support urban nature. Still, it remains a lovely experience overall. I just hope to see more ecological awareness blooming here in the future. 🌿🐝

The street bursts with colour, fragrance, and charm every Sunday. From armfuls of fresh blooms to unique plants and friendly traders shouting their best deals, it’s a London gem full of character. The nearby cafés and little independent shops add to the experience—perfect for a relaxed Sunday stroll with a coffee in hand. Go early to avoid the crowds, or late for the best bargains!

The menu features favorites like crispy Yangyum chicken, prawn-packed buns, KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), heat-packing pork noodles, and kimchi fried rice.
Delicious Korean food. Just walked by randomly and got attracted by the vibe. The menu looks great, variety of choices and food was amazing. Really love the rice cake, the balance between sweet and spicy was just right. Texture of the rice cake was cooked to perfection as well. The grassnoodles was really good too, flavourful and not too expensive. Portion is really big. Price is reasonable. Definitely recommended!

Good food and quick service. The cooking is almost within arms reach. My first Korean restaurant, so I might have been slightly underwhelmed with flavours. My messy menu is for reference and evidence that it's good food worth sharing with 2. 10% service charged added was a little surprise! Best option for us was the dumplings and dipping sauce, yum! Bao bun with spicy pork also a top choice 💪🏻

The food at On the Bab is alright for Korean food. It's decent, somewhat expensive for what you get portion-wise, but good for getting an gentle introduction to Korean food. It is not what I would consider totally authentic or traditional. It would be similar to the way in which Chipotle is Mexican food. We had the japchae appetizer (which seemed weird to me as it's usually a dinner in most places I have been to), jeon (quite small, they are typically twice the size, even as an appetizer), the toppoki (rice cakes in spicy red sauce) and then the budae jjigae (army stew). The quality of the food was okay, though it wasn't as spicy or as flavorful as it could be. It all seemed rather pedestrian and the toppoki sauce and the stew seemed a bit one-note and didn't have much depth to the flavor. Additionally the japchae could have had much more in the way of vegetables. The jeon was tasty though and I would recommend it. All of the portions were petite but did taste fine and the service was good and the atmosphere was fine, but felt more like a bar or a pub than a restaurant. I think ultimately that it is probably better as a place to have a few beers and have "snacks" rather than a place to have a proper meal that you can sit and enjoy for any length of time.

Restaurant
The Ram is a traditional pub located by the River Thames, attracting both young professionals and locals. It offers a wide selection of craft brews, real ales, and British food in a friendly atmosphere. The venue features a large riverside garden and live music for entertainment. Additionally, it is dog-friendly, making it an ideal spot to enjoy some pints with friends while admiring cute pups. The pub's proximity to famous landmarks like Hampton Court Palace adds to its appeal.
We had an amazing lunch at this lovely riverside pub! The outdoor seating right by the water was perfect—relaxing, scenic, and just the right vibe for a sunny afternoon. The food was top-notch pub fare—tasty, hearty, and freshly made. We especially loved the fish & chips or burger and the portions were generous. Pairing it with a cold drink while enjoying the view was the best way to spend the day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm, laid-back atmosphere. Service was quick and attentive, even when they were busy. If you’re looking for a great pub with delicious food, a beautiful setting, and proper hospitality, this is the spot. Can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous. The roast, beef and chicken, is awesome. The taste, the flavour, everything was so balanced. I also tried a beer with flavor of elderflower which was amazing. And the girls inbehind the bar were so nice and helpful. Thank you for an amazing lunch. Good vibe.

The Ram is a traditional pub accessible from both the riverside and the High Street in Kingston. On the riverside there is beer garden with lovely views of the Thames where you can watch boats passing at a leisurely pace. Inside it's a traditional pub with dark decor, with an area with stools alongside the bar, and 2 other areas with booths. The walls are festooned with many, many images of . . wait for it . . . Rams! 🐏🐏 There is a great selection of real ales, wines and a good number of spirits. There is a fairly small food menu offering a good choice of traditional pub grub plus a few others such as Schnitzel and Malabar curry. The curry, consisting of King Prawns, Monkfish, coconut rice, coriander and samphire pakora was outstanding and equal to anything served in a good Indian restaurant. 😃 😋 The Dry Aged Double Cheeseburger was very good and came with a large basket of fries. Food is ordered at the bar and then brought to your table. The bar and table service were warm and friendly. A lovely pub that's well worth a visit. 👌

An unforgettable experience at the Ram. Archie was a MVP who made our visit great. Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Thames in Kingston, The Ram is more than just a pub, it’s a destination. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that effortlessly blends traditional charm with modern comfort. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a romantic riverside drink, or simply unwinding after a long day, The Ram offers the perfect backdrop with its stunning views of the water, crackling fireplaces, and thoughtfully curated ambiance. But what truly elevates The Ram from great to exceptional is the people, and in particular, Archie. From the very start of our visit, Archie went above and beyond in every possible way. His warm smile and genuine hospitality made us feel not just welcome, but truly at home. He wasn’t just serving drinks, he was crafting an experience. Attentive without being overbearing, thoughtful without missing a beat, Archie anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. He remembered our preferences, offered fantastic recommendations from the menu, and even shared a few local tips that made our evening even more special. What stood out most was how much he cared. Archie wasn’t just doing his job, he was exceeding it with grace and authenticity. He checked in with a personal touch, made us laugh with his friendly banter, and ensured every moment of our time at The Ram was comfortable and memorable. It’s rare to encounter someone in hospitality who makes you feel so genuinely valued, but Archie does it effortlessly. The pub itself is a gem, ideal for any occasion. Whether it’s a lively get-together with friends, a quiet date by the river, or even a solo evening with a pint and a view, The Ram delivers every time. The outdoor terrace is simply magical at sunset, with the Thames glistening and the buzz of conversation blending with the gentle sounds of the water. The Ram has always been one of my favorite pubs in Kingston, a place where good times are guarantee, but thanks to Archie’s outstanding service, this visit was nothing short of perfect. If you’re looking for great drinks, beautiful views, and a team that treats you like family, The Ram is the place to be. And if you’re lucky enough to be looked after by Archie, consider your evening officially made.

A pub with an old-world atmosphere of England. Tasty giant portions, great selection of beers. The whole of Kingston is worth a visit. District in London with the atmosphere of a summer holiday. :-)

Another great visit to The Ram in Kingston. My wife and I were first seated on stools, but Archie kindly pointed out a table by the window and helped us move. We’ve been here several times and the service is always excellent. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a fantastic beer selection, including plenty of non-alcoholic options. Always a pleasure to visit.

MEATliquor Restaurant Queensway - Hyde Park is a trendy spot known for its stacked burgers, deep-fried mac 'n' cheese, and loaded fries. The restaurant's graffiti-covered digs provide a hip atmosphere to enjoy craft cocktails and comfort food. Located near Queensway underground station, it offers a treat for hungry stomachs with flavorful options like buffalo chicken burger and wings.
I had an amazing experience at Queensway Meat Liquor, and a huge part of that was thanks to Antony! From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. The food, as always, was top-tier—juicy burgers, crispy fries, and cocktails that hit the spot. But what really stood out was Antony’s attentiveness and friendly attitude. He checked in just the right amount, making sure we were happy without being intrusive. It’s rare to find service that genuinely enhances the dining experience, but Antony absolutely nailed it. If you’re heading to Queensway Meat Liquor, I highly recommend asking for him—you won’t be disappointed! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks again, Antony!

Wonderful en colourful place to get something to eat. We just arrived for a small holliday in London. Checked into the room (5:30 PM) and was able to get a reservation for 6:15 PM. When we arrived we were greeted and presented an available table. After ordering it was within a short time that we got to order our food. The burger we got (photo of 'Dead hippy burger') was very tasty and freshly made. We also ordered fries with the burger and those were the perfect amount of crisp and soft from the inside. The only feedback I can give is that the volume of the music that was played was very loud. We weren't able to talk normally to each other without the occasional 'huh?!' after someone said something. But overall a good experience.

Bowling Arena/Skating rink feel with 70s style rock music in the speakers. Only visit if you don't mind the noise from the music and bowling alley etc. Tried the cheeseburger w. hot fries, and it was really great!

I made a reservation at this restaurant in advance for our trip to London. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were told there was no booking. The waitress took quite a while to come over, and when she finally did, she barely glanced at the screen instead of properly checking for my name. We were initially given the worst table in the room. When I showed her my confirmation and asked if we could have a better one, she quickly changed it and seated us somewhere more decent. The service overall was disappointing, there was no warmth or friendliness at all. Once seated, no one came to take our drink order, so we had to go and order ourselves. On a positive note, the food was absolutely lovely, though a bit pricey. The hot dog was delicious and actually arrived faster than it took the staff to seat us in the first place! Overall, I’d happily go back to MEATliquor for the food, but not to this particular location because the service really let it down. To top it off, my tray with mayo was taken away before we’d even finished our fries which was not great, since I like having the sauce with them.

Great spot for burgers and comfort food! The atmosphere is lively with fun decor and upbeat music. The staff are friendly and service is quick, even during busy times. Tried the chicken burger and cheese fries—delicious with generous portions. Prices are fair for the quality. It’s a perfect place for casual meals or drinks with friends. Highly recommend MEATliquor Queensway if you’re craving a tasty, energetic dining experience!

Katie was amazing we had a large group dining together, and our waitress absolutely nailed it! From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and an energy that made everyone feel welcome. Managing a big table isn’t easy, but she handled everything flawlessly — orders were spot-on, drinks were always refilled on time, and she somehow remembered every little detail without missing a beat. We Love you Katie !!!!

Restaurant
Wingmans, located in Kilburn, is a low-key spot that specializes in serving a variety of international chicken dishes and offers a weekend bottomless brunch. The restaurant is known for its top-notch chicken wings, including the famous buffalo wings and unique options like the Shanghai Oriental wings. In addition to their flavorful wings, they also offer a selection of tasty sides such as seasoned fries and truffle mac and cheese.
We popped into Wingmans for a pre-dinner snack and loved it. The wings were crisp, juicy, and full of flavor — perfect to share without feeling too heavy. Service was quick and friendly, which made it easy to relax before heading out for dinner. The atmosphere had a fun, casual buzz that set the tone for the evening. Definitely a great spot for a quick, tasty bite together.

I visited Wingmans with my two brothers after hearing great things about the place. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would give it 4 stars. The halloumi cheese was delicious, the chicken katsu was fantastic, and the squid was cooked perfectly. However, the chicken wings were a bit too saucy and heavily seasoned for our taste. The burger with the breaded chicken breast was a little too heavily breaded, but still tasty overall. The service was attentive and friendly, which added positively to our experience. I would recommend Wingmans for anyone looking for good quality food with a lively atmosphere.

We previously tried the Bottomless Brunch - 90 mins unlimited wings (8 per plate) fries and drinks £45pp This time we tried Wings Wednesday buy one portion of wings and get the second portion half price. (£11 per portion inc 8 wings and £16.50 for two portions 16 wings) Nice friendly staff, atmosphere is great and food is second to none! Booking advised…

Been here two times and both times the food was amazing. Easily one of the best wings out there, the flavours are amazing and definitely worth the price. The place is kinda small and cramped, they usually have downstairs area as well but the last time we went, it wasn't open. Just be prepared to be crammed next to other people which can be quite awkward since the place is quite small but the food itself is worth it. Sometimes its really busy so I would highly recommend to book in advance so it guarantees you have a place.
Tuxedo M — Google review
Great wings, great atmosphere and plenty of taste! We went for a quick bite and we were not disappointed at all! As the easiest way to know they are the place for wings is that they simply give you a pair of gloves so you can enjoy wings there way they should be enjoyed, with hands! We ordered 2 portions and we were amazed that we got 8 PCs at a time and all in great size. The buffalo wings were both tangy, spicy (just the right amount) and the blue cheese was the way to finish them. On the other side, the K-town wings were sweet, spicy and crunchy with that peanut butter goodness.
Simeon I — Google review
I’m not sure if these are the best wings outside of Buffalo, or the overall best wings in the entire world. I’ve had wings from every corner of the earth and can’t remember a time they’ve consistently been this great. This is the only place you need to eat wings in London, don’t waste your meals elsewhere.
Tom B — Google review
Great food and service. We were welcomed in by the host. We didn’t have a booking but was sad relatively quickly. Food and drink came in reasonable time. The flavours of the wings were good too. All wings were crispy and delicious. Lots of flavours to pick from. 10/10 would recommend.

The food was amazing — especially the Korean wings, which were super tasty, and the hot chips were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The service was friendly and welcoming — big shoutout to Jigar and his team for making our visit even better! Highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious wings and a great vibe.

Patty & Bun London Bridge is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts exploring the vibrant culinary scene of London. Renowned for their mouthwatering burgers, this cozy eatery also offers a standout side dish called Winger Winger Chicken Dinner, featuring smoked confit wings drenched in BBQ sauce and topped with spring onions. The ambiance inside is charming and inviting, although the exterior may give off an impression of being closed—don't be fooled!
Great vegan burgers and nice seats - the place is small so was good that you can book. Wished the ice cream was a little more frozen/solid but the flavour was yummy nevertheless!

Had a burger from here today. Was quite tasty but was dripping with grease. I’m not against that in principle it’s just not my favourite style of burger. It was perfectly cooked and had a filled me up. Great chips. I got the lunchtime menu which was also great value. Service was really great. I was served quickly on entry and efficiently with a nice smile so well done to the two servers. Wasn’t blown away and I’ve had some incredible burgers of late but it’s still decent and I’d not want to put you off.

We went there, and they sent us downstairs, as there were no empty tables upstairs. The stairway was really scary—it was slippery and tight, not safe at all. However, the burger was nice and juicy( lovely food). I did notice that they charge extra for toppings , which I didn't like.

Nice restaurant, very cozy and cute. The burger were juicy and big with and cook well but I would have preferred to have a plate 😁 Must try the cheese ball with XXX hot sauce 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Nice restaurant! Very cozy and cute from the inside but from the outside it looks closed - don’t get confused. The seating was quite tight so not the most comfortable. You order via QR code on the table and pay right away. The prices are quite high for what we actually got. 🍔 The burgers where really good but just too expensive for what it is. Fries 🍟 were way too crunchy and for 5£ a definitely too small portion. The BBQ Sauce was 10/10 tho! Definitely recommend trying 🤝🏼

Came here for breakfast today - great service as you enter the place, and the food was pretty quick to arrive, bearing in mind it’s their second day open. The bacon patty was great, just need to work my way through the rest of their menu now! Just bear in mind this is fast food, done really well, and don’t expect any health virtues.

I have been a long term fan of Patty and Bun. This was my first visit in 2 years. We turned up on a Saturday evening unplanned and was able to get a table straight away. The burger is just as good as I remember and remains my favourite burger in London. It’s consistently great. The playlists at Patty and Bun is always 5*. Burgers are more expensive than I remember. £21 ish for burger, chips and a soft drink. Worth every penny.
Nina P — Google review
A good place to grab a bite, the bun is soft and the patty is juicy. I expected it to taste better given the high recommendation. I ordered the classic burger which tasted fine the nuggets are really good and the chips os normal. I still believe there better choices for burgers in London.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts, also known as ICA, is a cultural hub that has been shaping London's art scene since 1947. It features experimental visual art, performance, and film showcased in galleries, a theatre, and two cinemas. Currently on display is 'Penny World,' an exhibition by London-based artist and poet Penny Goring that delves into the impact of financial uncertainty on creativity.
Went there for a gig. LOVED it. Really great venue. Stage in the middle of the room worked so well. Recommended. Coloured lights in the bar area were great. Not their fault at all but worth saying The Mall was unexpectedly poorly lit at night, felt a bit uncomfortable walking to the venue as a lone woman. Front desk staff were a bit cold, which was a shame though as a first point of contact. Everyone lovely inside. Unexpectedly impressive for gigs.

I had a great experience during my visit to the ICA. I watched a film in their screen one. The cinema was warm, the seats were comfortable, and the cinema screen were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent customer service. I like that they show a lot of independent films in their cinema.

Excellent value art house cinema with seats at £14 full price and concessions at all times for U25's income support etc. Seats comfy, air con working well and friendly, engaged fellow audience. Staff on desk were lovely every visit, really friendly. Cinema ticket also gives access to the art gallery an added bonus. Location on the mall opposite St James park means you can have a picnic in the park. Highly recommend if you're passionate about film, budget conscious and enjoy somewhere quirky that's barely changed since the 1980's.

Lovely place for artistic and art cinema. But the ticket price is high. I went there for four times, two as Open City Festival Volunteer, one for Nowness short film festival, one for You burn me. There is oftentimes exhibitions going on, and it’s nice to catch them. And very convenient place near the St James Park.

I visited the ICA for the first time for the iconic Cybernetic Serendipity Exhibition in 1968, and recently for a concert by the wonderful Gazelle Twin. The place still exudes its characteristic refined taste and calm, while full of the excitement you get knowing you will be experiencing something completely unique and new. Great bookshop, bar and performance space. The tiny entrance doorway on the Mall and convoluted internal layout give it an intimate feel and make for a unique atmosphere. events there are a very special experience.

MEATliquor Northcote Road lives up to its reputation for serving delectable "dirty" food. The atmosphere is ideal for a laid-back lunch with friends, and the service is both friendly and efficient. Despite being quieter than expected on a Saturday, the accommodating staff quickly seated a group of seven. The standout dishes were the juicy burgers, particularly the Bacon & Cheese option with delightfully smoky bacon.
The best burgers on Northcode… Fries and burgers served on trays. Onion rings were amazing. The Austrian beer was also good. I only wish it was on tap instead of a can. On the upside, they also do nice cocktails which are very tasty and strong. Lovely staff were very helpful and attentive.

3 is harsh. 3.5 is fair. The burgers are really good. The chips and onion rings were nice but it was lukewarm. I expect this is because there were 20 uber eats drivers with their heads pressed to the windows, pretty agitated because the orders were late. Someone must have left our order on the side for 10 minures while they were dealing with these guys. It meant the door was open and closed every 30 seconds. Not great on a cold January night. The staff are nice and doing their best, fair play to them. IMHO this venue is too small to service walkin restaurant customers and uber eats. I have been to a few other branches and i really like the burgers but I wouldn't come back here again. Sorry guys.

Big thanks to the really wonderful Kirsty and all the staff . They went above and beyond again for me today . Providing me with a lovely filing burger and giving me a wonderful calm super friendly atmosphere for myself and my ex service dog . Each time I visit is exceptional service and food as well as care for my special needs and that of my dogs . If I could send this straight to their head office I would fully recommend pay raises and promotions for everyone. Not just an excellent place to get a great burger but an integral part of the local community taking extra care for each person whether they be a customer or not . The cocktails are diverse and flavorful, with recommendations for the visually appealing Zombie and intense Margarita.
I cannot fault this place. We went for bottomless wings and chips with bottomless cocktails for £50pp. And it was great! You get 90mins and order once you finish but the staff asked at the right time so we wasn’t waiting around. I preferred the fried wings to the grilled but towards the end we were too full! Cocktails were great. Staff were very attentive, friendly and pleasant. Not too much in your face either. We both really enjoyed it and would love to come back to try the main menu. Definitely recommend. And close to the station!

We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was super warm and welcoming — he personally served some of our drinks, which added a nice touch to the whole experience. Tip: If you’re planning to go on a weekend (especially Saturday), make sure to book a table in advance — it gets busy, and for good reason! Would I go again? Absolutely. The bottomless brunch was absolutely worth it! The buttermilk chicken was perfectly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the breaded shrimp were delicious and the plantain fried to a perfect golden brown. The drinks kept flowing, I tried the Berry’s Alive, Guava Oxtail, and Apple & Lime mocktail, and each one was excellent. The staff and bartender were fantastic, taking the next order as soon as I was finishing the last round, and the food came out steadily without long waits. Overall, great food, great service, and a great vibe. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a nice place to grab some quick dinner in the neighnourhood. Cocktails and wings sounded great! Normal and virgin cocktails were presented nicely and tasted great. Virgin colada came with a cute little cotton candy and my porn star martini with a cute shot of bubbly. BrewDog Waterloo is a massive brewhouse located inside Waterloo train station in London. It offers a wide selection of 60 draught beers and various entertainment options such as duckpin bowling, an ice cream truck, and even a two-story high slide. The venue also caters to dog lovers by offering special birthday packages for furry friends, complete with party hats and doggy ice-cream sundaes. While it's not a brewery itself, all BrewDog beers are produced near Aberdeen.
This place is massive—definitely not your average BrewDog. It’s part bar, part co-working space, part event hub, with everything from shuffleboard to podcast studios. We went for drinks and ended up staying way longer than planned. Beer selection is solid (as expected), and the food’s decent for pub-style bites. The vibe is buzzy but not chaotic, and there’s enough space to find your own corner whether you’re socializing or just chilling. Great spot if you want something casual but with a bit of edge. Easy to get to, right by the station.

Immense and truly brilliant venue right at Waterloo Station. It is far more than a pub, it is an entertainment hub! Highlights include the 60 taps of fresh craft beer, an on-site microbrewery, a duckpin bowling alley, ping-pong tables, and a hidden cocktail bar. The food is solid, and the atmosphere is high-energy and fun. It is the ultimate spot for a massive social gathering or a unique London experience. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.

We were recommended by my colleagues to your flagship Waterloo brewDog last month. We are surprised how beautiful and spacious this place, food menu got lots of varieties, atmosphere is really cool, and the young man called Matthew who served us is very helpful and friendly. we will definitely come back soon.

Awesome place! Olivia was so hospital and great! We would come back for sure! Nice to be treated with such hospitality this far away from home! Texas! Loved the vibe and drinks and Duckpin Bowling! Oh and you gotta try the fun “adults only” slide! My kinda place :)

A really fun and spacious bar! There’s plenty of room and lots to do — ping pong, bowling, darts and more. Great music, friendly atmosphere, and a wide food selection with proper pub classics. Plenty of BrewDog’s own beers on tap, so there’s always something new to try. Ordering is super easy too — you can order drinks and food straight to the table from your phone, which is perfect when you’re running low and don’t want to queue at the bar. Even the kids have small activities to keep them entertained. If you’re looking for something to do in the evening in London, this is a great choice. Definitely worth a visit!

It’s big, which means plenty of seating which is perfect for a major railway station. Usual range of BrewDog beers available (if you’ve not visited one before, try the beer!), as well as guest beers. Friendly staff, tasty food, multiple levels, what more do you need in this sort of place? Highly recommended. Don’t forget your beer visa… sign up before hand if you don’t have one, you can select stamps from different BrewDogs you visit.. it acts as not only a souvenir but stamps mean prizes too! Located at the very back of “The sidings” area of Waterloo station.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here. Staff were very helpful and accomodating to our requests despite it being a very busy day. The slide was a hit with the kiddies too. Special shout out to Anand for sorting out our bowling reservation.

I had a wonderful experience at this beautiful restaurant. The service was excellent, especially thanks to Fahimah, who was friendly and helpful. There was hardly any waiting time, and the food came quickly, beautifully presented, and tasted amazing. The background music was soft and made it easy to have a conversation. The drink selection was also impressive, with many great options. Highly recommended!

Fried chicken takeaway
Thunderbird Fried Chicken is a casual counter-serve spot with multiple locations, including Wimbledon, The O2, Clapham Junction, Charing Cross, Canary Wharf, and Westfield Stratford. The staff at Thunderbird Fried Chicken are known for their amazing service and efficiency. Customers have praised the friendly and helpful nature of the staff members. The food at Thunderbird Fried Chicken has also received high praise, particularly the chipuffalo wings that are recommended to be enjoyed with blue cheese sauce.
We order the chicken strips and burger (chicken strips on bun). The food was served hot and of great quality. We also felt it was a good amount of food for the value. There was a variety of drinks as well. I would go back. The staff was kind and helpful with my many questions.

Thunderbird gives you the vibe that you’re about to try the best chicken wings ever since that’s their specialty 🍗🔥… but sadly the reality was different. The taste was pretty average, something you could find anywhere. The good part is their menu has some unique flavors I hadn’t seen before, and I did enjoy their sauces. Overall, I’d rate it 6/10

A couple of minutes wait for a seat and then we were away, with very delicious lunch. We considered this KFC but glammed up! Not cheap, but lovely variety of sauces, and tasty veg options. Worth the visit.

Great fried chicken spot! Juicy meat, creative sauces, and super satisfying burgers. Loved the Korean BBQ wings the most — sweet, spicy, and full of flavor. Friendly staff and plenty of locations around London. Definitely worth a try!

We were there on Wednesday evening, convenient location and good choice of food, including vegetarian. An unpleasant surprise was the fact that the toilets for visitors (!) on the ground floor were closed, despite the signs to them. It seems like a lack of respect for the customer, to put it mildly

As an American I was extremely scared to eat because everyone told me food in London was nasty, but definitely not this place. My food was good not necessarily flavorful but when you add sauce it made up for it. I can say I came here twice during my stay in London.

Juicy chicken with a light, crispy breading. It’s so good I felt the need to share a review mid-bite and now my phone is all greasy. The chipuffalo sauce is so good, and awesome slaw lives up to its name!

Amazing burgers, straps and wings. We randomly hit this place and wow we really loved the food here. We ordered Barbecue burger, Veggie thunderbern, sides, 6 wings, meltdown fries and meal comes with fruit shoot orange. Their Burgers were amazing. Chicken was succulent and juicy with delicious batterand dripping sauces. Even sides were quite tender and juicy. Lastly the wings, oh man, amazing wings and felt like fresh wings were fried and again sauces were addictive (we had tried Korean style barbecue wings) Orders were filled quite quickly. It's a self ordering system. One interesting things was their toilets are also access controlled through a pass code which you get from reception. Cost: A full on dinner for 4 costed ~54 pounds which is a bit pricey but worth it.

Cocktail bar
Located in Victoria, Flight Club is a cocktail bar with creative darts games and an outdoor Magic Garden. It offers a variety of quirky events and activities from social darts to speed Darting, Fizz Hour to Lunch Hour.
Looking for an early lunch. Many places don’t open until noon but Flight Club was open. An amazing place especially if you play darts. I just came for lunch however. The burger and curly fries were delicious. Fast courteous service, clean place and cool ambiance. Huge bar. Would be awesome for groups but was fine for just myself. Highly recommend.
Jim J — Google review
Stopped by the Flight Club as we explored London, not to play darts (you'll want to explain this at the door to get directed properly to the restaurant) but for some food and drink. Seats were open in the rooftop patio which is a nice spot, although tables and chairs were still wet from rain several hours prior so we dried them with our coats. Orders were placed by scanning a table QR code. The food came quickly, but without cutlery (which made the salad tricky). Finding forks required me to go inside and ask an employee, who asked another employee, who left to find some forks. This was a bit funny but odd. Quality of the food was strong, including an amazing gluten free pizza, and decent pork belly bites. Good drink options. Great food, middling service, probably more fun if you're playing darts.
Chris H — Google review
We have seats on the patio, in one of the sheds with heating provided for us, it's perfect when the weather turns chill, the patio is really instagramable. Foodwise, we have four people and order the same burger, I can only comment it's a nice burger, not extraordinary special but it's tasty. Drinks! Lot of cocktail options here, the price is reasonable for central London. There are plenty of seats inside and outsides, spacious and comfortable. The service is good, nice waitresses always checking in with you, they know their cocktails well and make knowledgeable recommendations.
Macy I — Google review
The venue looked great and had a modern design. The dartboards and darts were high quality and seemed well maintained. I only got a single set of three darts, but that was perfectly fine. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the whole setup felt very polished. I especially liked the instant replay feature when hitting a high score or checkout — such a fun touch! The floor also had three different throwing distances marked for beginners and advanced players. Another highlight was the player management system. It lets you create teams, so you don’t always have to play individually against everyone else. The available games included Demolition, Donkey Derby, Shanghai, Quackshot, Killer, and Snakes & Ladders. Pricing felt reasonable: about £13 for 60 minutes and £17 for 90 minutes. The biggest pros for me were the stylish venue and design, the easy player management system with team options, the instant replay for great throws, and the accurate scoring system that never needed manual adjustments. On the downside, the only real con is that the game selection is a bit limited since there’s no classic X01 option. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience with friendly staff and a well-thought-out setup. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun darts session!

Whether she’s tackling challenges head-on or offering thoughtful support, Hayley brings a positive, can-do attitude that inspires confidence and trust. She’s not just reliable—she’s exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hayley to anyone looking for someone who’s not only capable and professional, but also deeply kind and compassionate. A true asset in any team or setting!

Beautiful and fun venue buzzing with atmosphere. Pleasant and quick service and mouthwatering food. Chicken burger was alright. Curly fries, sweet potato fries, nachos up to standard. The pizza was decent and moist in your mouth, oh but the Garlic and sea salt pizza bread with cheese and rosemary oil?! Good ingredients and good combination as it makes you get a beverage smart idea for the business. Fun games and overall great experience. Perfect for any occasions.

Nice place to go. Very busy. I’ve been to other flight clubs and this one was the busiest I’ve ever been to. You play darts and have fun. I will warn you though you can call them over for drinks while your still playing but only after we got the drinks did we then see they charged us a service charge which I think is not really on as it’s part of the experience and your paying to be there. But after this we just went to the bar to order.
Alice L — Google review
A hotel employee recommended this place for a drink. Decided to go around 9 pm to keep myself awake as long as possible as I tried to avoid jet lag. I was greeted warmly at the front door by loud (but great) music and a gentleman asking me if I was joining anyone. Once I said no, he politely told me to take the stairs up. I can’t describe the interior, but I loved it. Appropriately lit on some areas and other areas appropriately dim. There was an outdoor patio with Gazebos adorned with realistic, faux flowers attached to it. It was very enchanting. I sat at the bar and was given a menu by a bartender with a stern face. No smile, no greeting. Just business. I ordered a drink that was fruity and good, but I would have preferred to taste some liquor in it. I’m not saying there wasn’t any, but I couldn’t taste it at all. I was immediately prompted to pay for the drink as soon as he placed the drink in front of me. It was a bit rude as he gestured to the machine, but I could tell he was busy. I sipped and observed. I loved it the atmosphere. Besides the bartender, all other staff were warm, greeted me with a smile or nod. I definitely would go back.

The exterior may seem unassuming, but inside, it offers a shiny lounge area, a decadent boudoir bar, and a lively dance floor with popular music. It is known for its vibrant atmosphere and is particularly busy on weekends.

A small and cozy bar in Soho, London. The atmosphere says that people like to meet here. The service is pleasant, the security is pleasant. You are not allowed to drink in the bar, as a protection for you. It can be noisy and crowded. If you are looking for a queer atmosphere and a good cocktail, you must go to this bar. Price is normal fot London..

We went in around 6ish so we knew it wasn’t going to be busy. The female security on the door was nice and friendly. We went through to the bar at the back and had 2 really nice cocktails that were on the happy hour offer :) Good music and the barman was super friendly. We only stayed for one drink as we were going to a show. Would definitely return when we next come back to London

From the street this place can look very empty but the party starts in the back where there are many crowds and fun people lounging around and laughing. The Village is a great multi-room place to hang with friends and drink Vodka Sodas With Lime on repeat. The place is clean and the bartender from Spain was very welcoming to me and my husband. We loved the vibe and the music and will make it part of our pub crawl.

We had a good time here. Could do with more seats and more stock when it comes to drinks. Apart from that thumbs up, felt safe and welcoming. The bouncer was fantastic 🫶🏻

Went there last night and had a very disappointing experience. The black female security staff asked if I had been there before. I said no. She then asked if I had any friends inside. I said no, I was visiting alone from outside London. I was refused entry while others were allowed in. The treatment felt unfair and discriminatory. A place that claims to be inclusive should not make guests feel unwelcome or judged. Very much disappointed.
Fahim S — Google review
It was Halloween on 31st October 2025 around 11pm, bar was crowded enough but there was no queue outside. We just waited some people to leave the bar and then very politely asked from a black African female bouncer if we were allowed to get in. Instead she asked when did you last visited the pub. I was myself visiting UK and my partner had last visited the bar several months ago. Then she asked where's the toilet in the pub. When we couldn't answer, she replied '' then turn back! " That female bouncer hardly knew to talk in a decent manner. Seriously is this in Soho London or somewhere in the barberic Congo Forest? Village Soho management should first of all teach their bouncers how to work in a civilised world. Fun fact, all similar experiences have come from Asians. Are they targeted in Village Soho?

Hands down… go for the rum punch! Got on that bus late but man was it packing a punch! The vibe was amazing. DJ was spinning Afrobeat jams, bar gets crowded but second floor bar is available. Enough room for everybody and their mamas to dance off their feet! Atmosphere is just outstanding!

A year ago I came here, the jerk chicken plate was good. But today... A very disappointing meal/wasted time and money the food was beyond disappointment 😥 ended up in Costa after to wash it away. I came during very quite times, so I was very confused at the bad quality of food (burned chicken which was mainly made up of very burned skin and hard to chew, bland rice and beans meant to be rice and peas, and strings of raw tasteless cabbage served as coleslaw. The young waiter was not getting much help so customer service was not great (not his fault) For 20.00 (15 for the meal, 5 for side of plantains).... Was not a good experience. Won't be risking it again. I asked for a refund but the young waiter had to find the manager and I had to go. Overall.... A very disappointing meal/wasted time and money

Had a lovely time there with my friend. The staff was very attentive and the food truly out of this world. I highly recommend the jerk chicken which has a nice kick without being too spicy and the meat is moist and succulent. The toilets were well kept despite how busy it was. Really appreciated the heaters on the terrace. The atmosphere feels very trendy yet friendly. I only give it four stars as they had ran out of rosé and tequila so I couldn't have my favourite cocktail nor my next choice, which would have been rosé.

We booked a table in advance as we are aware this place can get busy, we wasn't really greeted on arrival sat down and a guy came over to confirm our booking and then walked off, no one comes to take your order and no menus given so had to go the bar to get menus etc Ordered the lamb platter, we waited a while for food eventually my food arrived my friends jerk chicken platter she still had to wait not ideal when food should be served same time. The food wasn't hot more like lukewarm lamb was nice and seasoned but the rest of it was alright. I feel the kitchen was stressed with all the orders coming through ie they have a lot of takeaway orders being prepped alongside in house food orders ie they apologised for Bringing food out late and offered a free drink. This satff member was very pleasant and I did feel for them as they seemed to be the only one trying to get orders out to customers The place is a nice atmosphere but the customer service is a bit questionable and staff looked confused at times with orders and placing orders. Nice venue food was alright but for what you get seemed quite small portions for the platter specials. Ie a group came in and sat down at a table next to us and wanted to order drinks and was told to go to the bar to order. They didn't look impressed If your serving food and drinks you should state that food and drink needs to be ordered at the bar. It was all a bit confusing. Nice venue but I can see how overwhelmed they can get with influx of customers. Ie if you don't go to the bar to order food and drinks ie don't expect anyone to come to your table to take your order.
Lady J — Google review
We came here for a Sunday Roast from a recommendation, they don't do that but no fault off the pub. We ordered food from the regular menu. One of the group was very hungry and ordered before us, she waited 1 hour 10min for her food. Ours came just after hers, we waited 50mins. The food was excellent when it came but disappointing to wait so long, the pub was a regular Sunday busy. No explanation from staff. Also the drinks on offer was very poor. Half the beer taps were out, there was no wine at all! Not a lot of choice. We tried to add two people to the booking of 5 before the day but they wouldn't do it as we had a booth. There would have been room but those people didn't miss out in the end. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to come here. My advice is to get more staff for the kitchen, more staff in the bar and train them to advice people they may wait in busy periods. A properly stocked bar is a must.
Ian H — Google review
First thing first, make sure you book your table in advance if you want to sit down in this place. It seems that you can only sit for a fixed period of time as we were turfed out of our seats because our table was booked for someone else at a particular time, “so annoying” this place is not far fro Peckham Rye and is quite spacious they have a private area upstairs then the main area on the ground floor and a basement space with a tiny bar. My honest assessment of this place on a Friday night is beautiful chaos, ordering from the main bar is a nightmare, but that’s because it’s busy. Four of us decided to meet up at this place and order some food and drinks. We all ordered the Jerk Chicken and fries which came with coleslaw well at least that’s what I think it was. The food was bland and tasteless on this occasion with not even a hint of spice, if you know anything about Jerk chicken it’s meant to be spicy. By the time the food arrived it was luke warm so immediately bad brownie points. Don’t forget this was after we were all moved from our precious table. No one enjoyed the food I checked to make sure I wasn’t just being a “Jerk” excuse the pun. The portion was fair but as mentioned tasteless on this visit. I need to add that this not is just one persons opinion and it could have been an off day because I have been there in the daytime for lunch and the food definitely tasted better. The positives was that the atmosphere was fun and friendly the place felt safe because the security was on point. The security staff were polite and friendly. Some of the staff were really nice and helpful especially a young lady with dreads so was so apologetic when we had to move and helpful throughout the evening. The music was great apart from when the dj changed for a short while but overall music was fantastic. This really is a great place and with a great atmosphere as mentioned but the little things can ruin a night such as cheap cola instead of Coca Cola as a first option. This place I would say is for the 25-30ish year olds and up it’s a nice place to hang out. They also have outside seating which is a premium I forgot to mention which in the summer is going to be rammed. So food 8 out of 10, atmosphere 10 out of 10, drinks expensive. I have since been back and can no longer complain about the quality of the drinks. Staff 10-10.

To start I’ll say that staff was super kind and helpful but definitely overwhelmed. Went on a Sunday on game day and I could tell they were struggling. Food took close to 40 minutes and when it arrived I was surprised to see the portions were on the smaller side. Only two little paper cups of sauce for a full platter meal. Rice and peas were super dry and literally crunchy. I was very underwhelmed and honestly don’t recommend if you’re in the mood for a good meal. Also messed my stomach up soo bad the next day.. smh

Butchies is a chicken shop in Shoreditch that specializes in fried chicken sandwiches. The menu has options for meal deals, with prices starting at £6 for the original and creeping up to £10 for the epic Jenny From the Block. There are also sides such as cheesy fries, nuggets, and wings available.
Butchies Fried Chicken is hands down one of the best spots for fried chicken I've ever been to. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside — exactly how it should be. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the flavor is just unbeatable. Whether you're getting a classic sandwich, wings, or a full meal, every bite is packed with taste. The sides are just as impressive — their loaded fries and slaw are top-tier, and the dipping sauces Addictive. Plus, the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. The vibe in the store is fun and welcoming, with friendly staff who clearly care about the food and the customers. Service is quick, and everything comes out hot and fresh.

I had higher expectations, but Butchies didn't feel a whole lot different to a standard chicken stop. I doubled up on the meat, and the burger fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The service was fine. Not rude by any means. They were definitely understaffed. You need more than just two people on at lunch time. The atmosphere was bright and clinical. Overall, the fact that I travelled two busses to get here, and spent nearly £20 on a meal, left me somewhat disappointed.

Tried the chicken burger with cheese and buffalo sauce — really tasty! The burger had a nice balance of heat and flavor, and the cheese made it extra delicious. The cheese fries were great too, though I wish there was a bit more sauce. Overall, a solid and satisfying meal!

I recently visited Butchies rivington Street and was extremely disappointed with the experience. I ordered two sandwich meals with a double-up option, and the total came to a shocking £37 — far too expensive for what I received. To make it worse, the bread wasn’t even warm, which made the sandwiches less enjoyable. For the price, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Overall, not worth the money, and I left feeling very disappointed. Definitely not planning to return.

I ordered chicken tenders with Buffalo Sauce, Fries, and Buffalo Sauce on the side. Chicken came without sauce and the dipping pot was so small that I had to eat half my meal without sauce. Also they are more expensive than comparable options. Never again.

Guests can enjoy a relaxed setting complemented by friendly service from attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience.
We don't have Fridays where I come from (our week just skips from Thursday into the weekend), but i wish we did. I found it a bit loud to have a conversation, but everything else was great. We mentioned to have someone with allergies at the table, so our order HAD to be taken by a manager, but i think that was reasonable. (no establishment wants to get sued because a member of staff forgot a detail.) ordering took a bit longer because of that, but the manager was super nice and understanding. Drinks and food arrived reasonably fast. Atmosphere was relaxed and fun, even though a concert was about to start and the other restaurants we passed felt a bit tense. I'd love to see T.G.I.'s find its way into my country some time and have staff as nice and accommodating as Rosie was! =)

Attended for a lunch date, around 1pm. It was nice and quiet with less than 10 people inside. We were seated promptly as we walked in, and a server came to take our order roughly 5-6mins after we sat down. We ordered the bottomless bbq wings, which for 1 person is £15 - you are not allowed to share it, which is a bumber, or else it's £20 pp 🤔, also had the glazed corn and sweet potato fries. Wasn't too keen on the glazed corn as it just seemed like boiled/steamed corn with mayo and jalapeños dressing 😔. For drinks, we ordered Mojito and strawberry daiquiri- both drinks were OK but seemed watered down by the amount of ice put in compared to the amount of alcohol. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed, but yeah.

Virgin pina colada is ok but not woow, we didn’t have much options as most of meat & chicken are fried or grilled on the same place with pork, so we end requesting shrimp & salad. We had to wait for 10 minutes till the waitress come to take the order, but she was very nice & patient thanks to her.

We actually like T. G. I. For a restaurant chain, the food here is actually always enjoyable for a fair price with consistent quality. Not so here. We had a table reservation. First we waited 12 minutes at the entrance, then 33 minutes at the bar. It then took another 18 minutes at the table for our order to be taken. We received our food more than 1.5 hours after the reservation time. What a mess. The food was of unfortunate poor quality. The restaurant is completely filthy. There was leftover food on the floor. Every third table is littered with dirty dishes that are not cleared away. It is incredibly noisy and stinks of cold French fries fat. I don't think it's the staff's fault, they run like rabbits. The management is a complete failure and should be replaced.

However, the food itself wasn’t quite up to the usual TGI Friday’s standard we were expecting. While the presentation was great, some of the dishes lacked the flavour and freshness that usually make TGI’s a go-to spot. Nonetheless, Rosie’s warm and helpful attitude definitely made the experience enjoyable, and we appreciated the effort the team put into making our visit special. Overall, we’d come back again, especially thanks to Rosie’s excellent service—just hoping for a bit more in terms of food quality next time. Thanks, Rosie, for making our evening memorable!

Such a lovely reception staff—always smiling and welcoming. I arrived at 10 AM hoping they could check me in, and they did! The rooms are decent and pleasant, and the room service is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting to explore the city. It’s conveniently located near bus stations and the Queensway Underground.

I would definitely come back to the Thistle London Hyde Park Kensington Gardens Hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by Pelin who gave us excellent and exceptional customer service. She was able to check us in early and while we waited for our room we had coffee and pastries at the hotel’s convenient restaurant. Our hotel room had a great view of the beautiful park, London eye, and other nice buildings. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. We purchased breakfast with our booking and it was worth it. The location of the hotel is great! There are good restaurants and cafes within walking distance. It’s also a 10-15 minute walk from Portobello Market which has shops and more yummy food. We also liked that we booked the hop on hop off bus tour right in front of the hotel. Make sure you check out the prices online before you book in person to get the same great deals. The area where the hotel is at is lively and we felt safe. I would recommend this hotel.

At first time of stay, we loved this hotel as very close to Queensway tube station, nice and quite area, clean and big rooms, clean bathroom. After a busy day, we sat on the bar and rested with nice food and drinks. The room we booked by was by the Kensington gardens, full green and yellow/brown at this time of the year. Breakfast is simple but adequate. Our receptionist Pelin has helped us a lot and guided, on last day we had few business outside, we left the luggage at reception room while checking out in the morning, when we came back, they let us a room for changing clothes and repacking the suitcase. We were so happy with this hotel so we rebooked for next month.
Bahar A — Google review
We have stayed at the Thistle Hyde Park Kensington Gardens several times over the past years and returned twice in October. For us, the hotel offers the perfect combination of accessibility, relaxation, and comfort. The Underground stations Queensway (Central Line), Bayswater (Circle/District Line), and Lancaster Gate (Central Line) are all within a few minutes’ walk, and Paddington Station can be reached with a slightly longer stroll. The hotel is located directly opposite the northern side of Hyde Park, and as the name suggests, Kensington Gardens are just a stone’s throw away. The nearby Queensway provides plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping opportunities. There used to be a small petrol station with a convenience store right below the hotel, which is currently closed for renovation. The rooms are – typically for London – compact but well designed, functional, and comfortable, usually featuring a narrow bathroom with a shower. The Rooms with a View on the upper floors are particularly recommended, as they offer a bit more space and a beautiful view over Hyde Park and the London skyline. We stayed in a family room for four people on the top (9th) floor, consisting of two rooms connected by a small hallway with a bathroom and bathtub. Each room had a double bed and a wall-mounted TV; one also offered additional seating and a small refrigerator. Despite being street-facing, the rooms were pleasantly quiet. The hotel staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive in all areas – reception, restaurant, and room service. Early arrivals are well managed: guests can store their luggage safely and start exploring London right away. On previous visits, we were even able to check in early in the morning. On the day of departure, luggage can again be stored at the hotel until the actual time of leaving. The Uber terminal and umbrella station in the lobby are also very convenient – both can be quite handy in London’s unpredictable weather. If you have booked breakfast, it’s worth checking the notices in the elevators, especially regarding peak times. On weekends, the buffet area can get busy. The breakfast itself offers a wide selection of hot and cold dishes: various egg options, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, and beans, as well as a good choice of bread, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, and sweet pastries like croissants and cakes. Coffee and tea are available from several machines, alongside a variety of juices. The breakfast area is nicely arranged, comfortable, and spacious enough to ensure a relaxed atmosphere even when full. For guests arriving by car, parking spaces are available (for a fee) both in the courtyard and in the underground garage – a convenient option, though we usually travel by train and therefore don’t use this service. Conclusion: A thoroughly recommendable hotel with an excellent location, friendly service, and solid comfort – a reliable place to stay in London that we’ve happily returned to for years.

We’ve been staying at the Thistle for the past couple of days, every service here is superlative. The staff is very professional and welcoming, the cleaning staff organized our room perfectly and the breakfast service was impeccable. We would like to reserve a special thank to the kind Sirajul and the beautiful Maya, with the laughs we shared and the kind words they gave us, they improved our staying even more. Lots of love Julia & Rebecca, Grazie ancora. See you next time❤️

A lovely location and wonderful staff. Pelim greeted us on reception and nothing was too much trouble giving us advise on the area and she was lovely and very professional. We were given a room upgrade which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would definitely book again.

We have stayed at a Thistle Hotel near Russell Square, in Holborn and at this location. We are staying at this location right now, with plans to return a third time. The hotel is across the street from Hyde Park, within easy walking distance of Kensington Palace and a pleasant walk from Buckingham Palace. There are two tube stops within a few blocks that will easily take you anywhere in London. There are many restaurants and pubs in any direction and the shopping of Notting Hill is an easy stroll away. The rooms are good, staff is friendly and helpful and everything is spotless.

Lovely room on the 9th floor over looking the park and we're really happy that it had a bath as well as a shower. Wish we could have opened the window a bit though but that was my only moan. Didn't book breakfast as we wanted lunch out instead. Really enjoyed and will return

Coqfighter Soho is a popular burger joint offering a variety of chicken burgers and wings. The menu includes around 5-6 burger options, with the option of adding sides like loaded fries. While the atmosphere may not be exceptional, the staff are friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable, making it an affordable dining option in London. Customers praise the flavorful burgers and crispy, well-seasoned chicken pieces. The raspberry lemonade is recommended for its refreshing taste.
The staff were super friendly and polite, made me feel really welcome. The food was amazing😋😋😋😋seriously the best chicken sandwich I’ve had in London! The fries were also crazy good. Definitely coming back again!

A good for quick Korean style fast food. Decent fried chicken burger, fairly on the small side so get the sides in. Buffalo wings were pretty good. Quick service along with a draught lager to wash it all down.

I had an amazing experience at COQFIGHTER in Soho! The burgers were juicy and packed with flavor, the wings were perfectly crispy, and the fries were just right. Special shoutout to Asifa for the excellent service—friendly, attentive, and made the visit even better. Definitely a five-star spot for anyone craving great burgers and a welcoming atmosphere!

The chicken ranch was tasty but under cooked in the middle - the ginger chicken sandwich was dry over cooked . The chicken tenders was yumm perfectly cooked and the loaded fries needed extra cheese. There was two ladies serving at seems they are overloaded the starter and the main arrived all together.

Food is average — the Nashville burger was poor, sides slightly better. Service was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere unremarkable.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in London, but this time I honestly don’t know what happened. The food was not fresh at all — the lettuce tasted spoiled, the bread wasn’t good, and everything was extremely greasy. The quality has really changed, and I’m honestly shocked. Yes, my review said it was one of the best restaurants when I posted the photos (a year ago, as you mentioned). I visited again this year, and the quality has changed a lot. I had to update my review, but I didn’t remove the photos because I remember my experience was really great at that time.

Comedy club
The Miller is an independent pub located near Guy's Hospital, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a beer garden. It features a variety of local craft beers, real ciders, and classic bar food such as chicken wings and cheeseburger sliders. The pub is known for its range of bottled beers from top London breweries like Kernel, Weird Beard, and Partizan. In addition to keg beers and cask ales, there are options for vegans and vegetarians on the burger-oriented menu.
🚇 Borough 🍺 £6.95 Cruzcampo The Miller is located in the backstreets of Borough close to Guy’s hospital. The nearest Tube is Borough and London Bridge. This pub was originally called The Miller of Mansfield, built in the 19th century. The pub was rebuilt in 1965 along with the Kipling council estate in which it was designed to serve. This is a one bar pub that is a good size that has an eclectic quirky feel. The servery is centrally located and is clad in dark panelling with a solid mahogany counter. The bar area has a variety of sections with a different blend of lighting, unique artworks and furniture. The seating is a mix of tall pews, conventional tables and chairs, a couple of Chesterfields and a comfy banquette. Upstairs is @hooplaimpro ,an improv theatre and comedy club. In the basement is a rehearsal studio for bands. To the side of the pub is a patio beer garden. The beer offering mixes mainstream beers with an excellent choice of four cask ales and two real ciders. I decided on a Cruzcampo, my pint hit the spot, price point was expensive. The food menu is burgers, wings, loaded fries and a variety of sides, all burgers cost £11. I arrived at 4pm on a chilly Saturday afternoon in February. The pub had just opened and had a few punters dotted around. The atmosphere was laidback, the dimly lit ambiance made for a comfortable setting. The service was pleasant, I was served by a nice chap who was courteous. The post war built pub is a rare find in London these days. It was great to see that this pub has survived and reimagined itself supporting the arts and local musicians. @themiller.se1 is popular with students and hospital workers at nearby Guy's, so hopefully this aids to the pub’s longevity. I enjoyed my visit to this quirky boozer, it’s well worth a look if you’re in the area. 📅 1st February 2025 More London Pub info @londonpubmap 🍻

Great pub, serving fantastic value tasty burgers. The clod burgers were perfectly cooked, tasty juicy and full of flavour. Same with the fries, crispy, crunchy and flavoursome. Good beers on tap. There are lots of sunny tables outside to choose from as well so great you get a good blast for the majority of the afternoon.

A friend and I had a really tasty burger and chips that were very reasonably priced. The Miller is a fab pub with plenty of seating both inside and outside that offers regular comedy nights. One of the great things about The Miller is because it's tucked away behind Guys Hospital it doesn't get ridiculously rammed on sunny Thursday evening in May. You can actually get to the bar to order a drink, unlike some of the other pubs nearer the station or high street, 5 mins walk away. I've been going to The Miller since the mid 90's and I would highly recommend it.

This bar is truly one of a kind. On the surface, it’s already a great place to unwind—but head down to the basement and you’ll discover the real treasure: a cozy performance space where incredibly talented people take the stage and sing their hearts out. What truly sets this place apart is the people. From the security at the door to the person keeping everything spotless, the staff are attentive, kind, and genuinely care that everyone feels welcome and safe. It’s rare to find a place that feels this personal while still being full of life. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a night out with heart, soul, and great music.

Amazing shows. The host is great. HOWEVER, the waiting staff are so incredibly rude and physical. The lady in the toilet hit me on my hand and closed the tap, yelling “that’s too much water” and I was in shock. I got pushed around aggressively but staff multiple times. It is a shame because the performers are such amazing people!

Shockingly unprofessional bartenders. I was downstairs and found that the bartenders were rude. I genuinely worried I'd done something to upset them since it's odd to be so rude to someone for no reason so I tried to ask and was told to go away by the bartender while he shooshed me with his hand. At this point it's just plainly disrespectful to treat people like this. I tried to speak to the other bartender on the downstairs bar and was met with the same attitude. When I asked to speak to their supervisor they simply said no. At this point I'm angry at this absolutely disgusting behaviour so I go upstairs to try and speak with bar staff there and I was met with the exact same attitude problem again! I asked to speak to the supervisor and he told me he is which I find hard to believe with being so unprofessional like this. The only nice bartender was the younger dark skinned guy who seemed to be new. I hope he gets out of that environment because this has got to be one of the most toxic places to work. I should have never doubted myself for a second, clearly I wasn't the issue and these 3 men are just so up themselves and miserable that they find it easy to treat people like dirt for no reason.

Racist and unprofessional, denied entry despite valid tickets I went to this bar with a friend after buying tickets for pride. When we arrived, we were denied entry by the bouncer for no reason whatsoever. We were calm, sober, and respectful, yet treated with open hostility. What made it even worse was the bouncer’s aggressive and racist attitude. It was obvious we were being singled out based on our background, which made the whole experience feel humiliating and unsafe. No one at the venue offered help or a refund.

OMG! Best Philly steak ever! I went with my partner and we’ve been here around ten times already. It really feels American, and it’s so cool to watch American football games while you eat. There’s even a baseball cage where you can practise your skills while having a drink with your friends. The chicken wings are unreal, some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff are super nice and friendly, and the whole vibe is amazing. It’s so nice to have a place like this right in central London. Highly recommended!

Party of 4. 2x kids cheese burger and fries. Buffalo wings. Philly cheese. And chicken club. With drinks. Eldest didn't like the burger. Youngest did. There were no pickles nor ketchup within. Wings were great. Philly great. Club sandwich good. Both these last two came with quarter pickle gerkin. Atmosphere great. The street itself is worth a visit. So despite no soap in the toilet. Ketchup bottles brought way into the meals and an unexpected service charge of near a tenner bringing overall bill to near 80 quid. So must be more than 10%. There was another they stated where you could opt to tip extra. Forgot to mention dirty knife in utensils on table. The food is worth a visit. But the service charge put us off a revisit. Shame!

Great bar! Tucked neatly underneath Waterloo station in a subway adorned with excellent graffiti, this place is a hidden gem. It was a packed house for Canada Day, but the staff were friendly and welcoming, and more than happy to give me an accessible table. The service was swift and with a smile, and they have great advice on the menu. The food itself was great: a loaded Philly cheesesteak sandwich washed down with a cold one. I really wanted to have the poutine special too, but I was stuffed already! Prices were reasonable for London and there was no hard selling. Thoroughly recommended!

Been meaning to come and try the food here for ages, finally made it while working in London. Ordered an American hoagie and was so filling, made with fresh ingredients. Closest hoagie I have gotten to in the UK since I went to America. Nothing compares in the UK getting a hoagie until coming to Passyunk Avenue. Very full and happy, I will be coming back again for more food. While working in London. Highly recommend, also got to watch some of this week's football and baseball on the TV which is an absolute bonus

Ninth Ward is a rustic-style bar in London that offers a blend of Manhattan's style and Louisiana's comfort food. The bar serves up some of the best fried chicken in the city, including buttermilk fried chicken and hot wings. One of their signature dishes, Voodoo, is known for its extreme spiciness. Customers can enjoy bottomless wings with options like Buffalo and BBQ, accompanied by tasty sauces.
interesting dive bare type spot with some cool american saloon style decor. came here for the unlimited wings which at £13 was very well priced. youve got two decent options of bbq and buffalo sauce both of which are very nice. The wings arent the biggest but given the amount theyre churning out these, they arent dry at all and are very well cooked, still very tender. we also tried some of their 'nuclear' wings which were okay, not as spicy as i expected. cheap drinks even outside of happy hour
Rajiv J — Google review
We came down for the bottomless wings. The service was a little slow to begin with but it might be because we arrived fairly early into the evening so it was quite empty to begin with. We all ordered bottomless wings which you go to the bar and order. The wings are small but they served us plenty. The bottomless wings offer you 2 options Buffalo and BBQ. Buffalo comes with blue cheese sauce although we had to ask for it because it didn't originally arrive with it. The sauces are tasty and wings are good. For £13 bottomless we all agreed it was a brilliant price. Although they aren't the juiciest wings you can find in London it'll certainly fill you up. They don't seem to have a timer on how long you can eat so we enjoyed plenty of wings and a few drinks. Lots of beer options, cocktails and soft drinks. Happy hours and lots of deals available. We tried to book a table online but the website suggested that we didn't need to for under 4 people so we did a walk in and got a table easily. Very close to Farringdon station, great location to meet friends. I'd 100% come back.

Very kind, pleasant service. I ordered a chicken burger and chips for takeaway. I opened the container with the chips right away before my walk so that it wouldn’t steam in the container. The chips were still great texture after a 15 min walk to my hotel. The burger had a nice spice to it but needed salt on the actual chicken, which was bland. This made the whole burger less tasty. Texturally it was good and satisfying. Just increase the balance of seasoning on the actual meat.

Lovely staff but the food was not great. Burgers were more batter than meat, the menu was confusing to read and the bathrooms were without a place to freshen up. I went after reading these reviews but was not very impressed. Hope they can expand their menu and have a detailed description on what is contained within each dish. Favourite item was surprisingly the Mac and cheese but had to remove the chives added on top as it never said anything about them on the menu and did not go well with the dish at all.

Chick and Beers (Coombe Road) is a family-owned Korean fried chicken spot that has gained legendary status among locals. The chicken here is double-fried to achieve an extra crispy skin, with a batter that strikes the perfect balance between rugged and impeccably glossy. The menu features tempting options like the sweet, sour, and spicy yangnyeom chicken.
We visited here Sunday lunchtime and the restaurant was relatively busy. We waited to be seated for a few minutes as there appeared to be one server. We ordered shortly after, a couple of drinks and a 2 person boneless basket, with spicy sauce, a side of Cajun fries, spam fries and some coleslaw. When the food arrived it was hot and looked very tasty! Couldn't wait to get stuck in. The spam fries were so nice! A first for us! The Cajun fries were also very fresh and tasty with a decent about of seasoning. Now, the chicken strips were the tastiest chicken I think we have ever eaten. They were beautifully seasoned in a crispy coating that had somehow, soaked up the spicy sweet sauce but remained crispy. Words cannot do it justice in my opinion. Overall, it was a great place to eat, great value for money and great service from the team. Will be back!

Food: for a restaurant which only do chicken and beer, as their main trademark, it's extremely important that they do these things well. In this case, they do it really well and the fried chicken is not only consistent but also really tasty. The highlight of these was the really hot chicken which had a nice building up spice to it which help whet out appetite! Service: It's okay. The waiters were helpful when we needed them to be. Atmosphere: we weren't able to sit inside but sitting outside while a little cold, we got to see other diners enjoy themselves.

Tried Chick&Beer and overall had a really good experience with the food! We ordered the half & half box (half original fried chicken and half honey garlic soy glazed chicken), plus the chili-glazed spring onion boneless chicken and sweet potato fries. The chicken itself was excellent – juicy, not dry at all, and the glazes (especially the honey garlic soy and chili) were full of flavor. The original fried chicken and sweet potato fries were decent but could use a bit more seasoning. Service was a little rough — the waiter came across as rude, though it seemed like he might have been the only one working that day, which could explain the mood. All in all, great food with some room for improvement in service. I’d come back again to try more flavors.

Best Korean fried chicken I've tasted so far in the UK - juicy and flavourful. Ordered the spam fries (not pictured) but nothing special. The chicken strips were on the dry side. I would stick to the whole chicken next time

I've ordered takeaway from Chicks and Beers many times before but this was my first time dining in. I have recently been to South Korea and I can say the fried chicken is comparable but not better than South Korea. The flavour is good however the quality of the chicken is not as good as it used to be and not as crispy. They also used to include the pickled radish but now charge £1 for a small pot. The pickled radish in South Korea is tastier. I would come here again and this used to be my go to but I am inclined to try other Korean fried chicken places as the price has also increased since they do not do NHS discounts anymore either.

Probably the best Korean fried chicken outside of Korea. Very crispy, good level of spice on the spicy chili sauce glaze. Onion rings are superb.
Will — Google review
Amazing chicken at this place! So similar to what I had in Korea (just needed some bonus radish cubes). The chicken was so tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Defo recommend the honey garlic glaze. Service was fantastic too, very attentive and friendly waiters.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was good too. The honey garlic soy glazed fried chicken was our favourite! They also allow dogs in the restaurant too, and they bring out dog treats and a water bowl, which was really sweet. We will definitely be coming back to Chick and Beers in the future!

Chick and Beers (Burlington Road) is a no-frills restaurant that specializes in serving Korean-style fried chicken and beers. The establishment prides itself on offering the best Korean Fried Chicken in town, which is well-seasoned, crunchy, and glazed with delicious sauces. Customers rave about the tender and juicy meat as well as the crispy yet non-greasy skin of the chicken. The unpretentious surroundings and attentive staff add to the overall dining experience.
Chick and Beers has been in my list for quite a while due to its popularity amongst foodies. I have taken my friend for his pre birthday celebration as he is particular about his fried chicken. We were a group of three and visited around 6pm. The customer service was immaculate, the chicken was fried to perfection and we loved everything we ordered. Jean and her colleague has looked after us and they were very amiable but also happy to help! Looking forward to my next visit already. Thank you!

Great Korean joint, small menu, good food. Warm staff. Would have been nice if they suggest with portions enough or too much. Nevertheless they give you takeaway box if can’t finish. Nice good portions. Value for money dishes. Restaurant was very cold and heating was not on. Better book or reserve before you go. Will get full by 6:30 evening almost all the days especially can’t get tables in the weekend. It was nice touch serving frozen glasses with the drink.

I've been coming here for years. Whether to get a takeaway or dine in and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and it's great to come here when the other location on Coombe Road is busy. The food is always hot and it's exactly what chimaek should be. Great chicken. I've brought friends here and they love it! It's a great place to introduce Korean cuisine to people. I would recommend this place.

This is the tastiest Korean Fried Chicken I’ve tried. We ordered half garlic soy, half sweet chilli and they were both so good. The pieces are big and juicy and the chicken is good quality. There was so much flavour in each bite. The seasoned fries are not to sleep on either, and are also probably one of the best I’ve had at any chicken place. It took a while for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. We were lucky to be seated quickly by the friendly waiter as the restaurant is quite small and popular even on a random Monday evening. The seating was wooden tables and chairs, so not the most comfortable, but it did give the eatery a rustic feel. The toilet was small but clean. I’d definitely recommend a trip down here at least once.

Friendly staff, food came fast and is super tasty. The only caveat is that they don’t take card but I managed to wire the funds through quickly. Highly recommended!

Very tasty Korean fried chicken. The chicken is freshly made. The flavours are very nice. Our favourite was the Chilli spicy glaze. Price is reasonable. Waiting time was a bit long so better to go when not too busy.
Shiny K — Google review
A Korean Fried Chicken Heaven I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the most incredible Korean fried chicken at chick n beer. The chicken was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy and golden brown, while the meat was juicy and tender. The glazes were out of this world, with a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. If you're a fan of Korean fried chicken, this place is a must-visit!
Mercedes M — Google review
Great little place. There is no pretense, just good food. The staff were amazing. The Korean fried chicken was cooked to order and you could taste the quality of the chicken. The meat was tender and juicy. The skin crispy but not oily. I would definitely go for the soy glaze as the plain fried is as described. The glaze had the right amount of sweetness for me as it wasn’t too sweet. If you’re in the area and fancy “KFC” give this place a try.

Beer & Buns is a delightful spot that truly lives up to its name, offering an enticing selection of Japanese craft beers alongside fluffy steamed Hirata buns filled with mouthwatering ingredients. Their standout dish includes chicken wings that are marinated and triple-fried for an irresistible crunch, complemented by choices like Korean hot sauce or Sweet and Spicy glaze. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it perfect for gatherings.
I really like this place, really casual and great chicken wings and buns! Love the beer selection too. They used to have awesome Japanese gameshows playing in the background - I used to love this but they no longer do it - please bring it back!!!

Good service, tasty food, extensive range of Japanese beers and fun space. It was a little on the dark and loud side but we did go on a Friday evening so it'd be good to see it at another time.
Jeszen S — Google review
Lovely food and friendly service. Great deal on Nez where it costs just £24pp for three hours of unlimited beers, proseccos and G&Ts along with two baos and a side of fries/sweet potato fries. Also the pinball machine was good fun! Short walk from Liverpool Street station.
Shar C — Google review
Had a nice evening here. Very reasonably priced, drinks were good and it’s a super cool place with some fun games and a nice vibe. It’s just a shame the desert we ordered was incredibly bland - watery ice cream and flavourless cinnamon bao. Everything else was great!

We had the bestest night for our leaving do party! Great services with fun workers! The best part of this venue is the soju bombs and they allow you to draw on their walls and leave your mark on there with chalk!! Thanks Chris and anton for the hilarious drawing session!! Haha

More people ought to know about this casual yet extremely fun spot with affordable food and alcohol and free foosball and pinball games. The vibes are very fun and provide a good alternative to the Shoreditch dancefloors

What it says on the tin. Great selection of Japanese beers and the buns are good value for money. Limited vegetarian options.

Nice chilled out vibe here, very basic decor but I guess that's part of the charm. Buns were decent, but the wings were just far too salty, to the point that where we couldn't finish them.

Christmas market
McLaren's Christmas Pudding is a traditional holiday dessert made with dried fruit, suet, black treacle, spices, and alcohol. It is typically prepared weeks before Christmas and involves the whole family taking turns stirring for good luck. On the big day, it's steamed for hours and then set alight before being served with brandy butter. Fans of this pudding rave about its exquisite taste and light texture compared to heavier options on the market.
Absolutely the best Christmas Pudding I’ve eaten: rather than the usual heavy pudding, this one is light whilst still retaining the fruitiness. Over Christmas I shared it with several people who said that they didn’t like Christmas Pudding and each one was a convert. This is my third year of McLaren’s puds, having first discovered them in Borough Market, being able to order online just makes it easier. One is not enough for the festive season! See you next year.

Best Christmas pudding I've had in my life, bought in 2023 and still dreaming about it till today
Samuel T — Google review
Saw these guys on You Tube in 2023 so ordered a pudding from them. No lie, it was the best pudding I’ve ever tasted! Such rich fruit and the crunch of the nuts really made it. Ordered again this year and the pud was just as wonderful. I ordered a small pudding for hubby’s stocking but couldn’t resist it so ate it myself!!! Do yourselves a favour and order your pud from McLarens - I promise you will not be disappointed.
Jane C — Google review
The first Mclarens Christmas Pudding we have had and it definitely won’t be the last. It will be Mclarens for our Christmas Pudding from now on. These Christmas puddings are on another level they are exceptional. All the family agreed unanimously that it was the nicest tasting Christmas Pudding we have ever tasted. Was beautifully moist, and was light in texture and you could taste all the rich fruit and the butter in it and the brandy. Whereas with some Christmas Puddings the booze over powers the rest of the flavours. The Mclarens Christmas Pudding had the perfect amount and balance of all the ingredients without one over powering the other. Look forward to having another one of these beautiful Christmas Puddings next Christmas.
David T — Google review
A Festive Masterpiece: McLaren's Christmas Puddings at Borough Market Nestled in the heart of Borough Market, McLaren's Christmas Puddings are nothing short of legendary. From the first glance at their beautifully wrapped, traditional puddings, you know you're in for an extraordinary festive treat. The rich aroma of warm spices, fruits, and a hint of brandy immediately transports you to cozy holiday gatherings, even before the first bite. What sets McLaren's apart is their meticulous craftsmanship. Each pudding is hand-mixed and slow-steamed to perfection, striking the ideal balance between moistness and density. The combination of plump sultanas, zesty candied peel, and the finest suet results in a symphony of flavors that are both nostalgic and indulgent. Their signature touch—a whisper of dark ale and matured cognac—elevates the taste to gourmet levels, leaving a warm, satisfying finish. Borough Market's charm amplifies the experience; with the buzz of shoppers and seasonal cheer in the air, purchasing a McLaren's pudding feels like a cherished holiday tradition. It's clear why these puddings draw loyal customers year after year. If you want to make your Christmas feast unforgettable, McLaren's Christmas Puddings are an absolute must. One taste, and you'll understand why they reign as a festive favorite."
Steven C — Google review
These Christmas Puddings are simply delicious. I first discovered them at Borough Market some years ago - it was the taste that did it, and a friendly guy at the stall. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a McLaren's pud. Heartily recomended.
Duncan R — Google review
We have been eating McLaren’s Christmas Pudding since finding them at Bury St Edmunds Christmas Market a few years ago. They are a firm favourite, even those who don’t like Christmas Pudding enjoy it. The flavour is amazing and there is lots of fruit. Roll on Christmas 2025.
