Barbecue restaurant
Bar & grill
Cocktail bar
Berber & Q is a Middle Eastern and North African restaurant located in an old taxi repair shop under one of Dalston's railway arches. The stripped-back interiors provide the perfect backdrop for their open fire, rustic cooking. While the menu draws inspiration from various cuisines, it prominently features bold North African and Middle Eastern flavors such as dukkah, rose, and tahini.
wow! so tasty! great mix of vegetarian and meat dishes, everything was good but my favourites were the chickpeas with spinach and the cauliflower. cocktails were incredible too!
Isabela O — Google review
Amazing experience and great service. Mara did a brilliant job of explaining everything on the menu and recommended us the best dishes. Super friendly and lovely atmosphere. The best hummus i’ve ever had!!

Exceptional Moroccan BBQ, i have to mention the bbq cauliflower before anything else - it is incredible, you must get it! I enjoyed the lamb main too but personally found it too fatty at points, but incredibly soft and tender A massive shout out to Finn, Ash and Charlie who looked after my solo dine. They were attentive, talkative and quick to help me out!
Baron G — Google review
The lamb with the flat bread was delicious. The cumin salt complimented it so well. In the mixed grill, the chicken was very well cooked. Super moist as well. The keftes were flavorful but wayyy too salty for me. The pork belly was cooked well but wished it had more flavor to it. Loved the cauliflower and the dressings go very well together.
Celina H — Google review
Our dinner at “Berber & Q” was an absolute disappointment, and unfortunately was one of the few restaurants I’ve been to that were a complete let down. The night missed the mark on multiple fronts and I would definitely not recommend this. Firstly, the food. Very disappointing. The lamb was fatty, the chicken was dry and bony, and so was the fish. The only good thing we had were the dips and the bread. What made things worse was the timings, the lamb dishes came our fairly quickly, and the chicken and fish were probably forgotten because they both came about 40 minutes later. Overall, the kitchen was struggling. When they finally did come, they were inedible. We complained about the service and the food, and the staff was generally unfazed… They said a sorry and continued as normal. Overall, not value for money and genuinely one of the last places you should visit if you’re in the area with so many places around.
V Y — Google review
The food was so so tasty, and the service was so attentive and friendly, a wonderful experience. Cauliflower and the potato cakes were incredible, thanks guys! 🤩
Liam W — Google review
Food was really good and the vibe is so cool. Loved the different dishes. But the wine menu can be improved! Hummus could be improved, not a fan of hummus and something on top (link is missing) The lamb dish was huge and def not for 2 ppl - we could have be warned about that. It was good but too much food…
Fay S — Google review
Great food, fantastic cocktails, and a really nice venue with a great atmosphere. We had the amazing mixed grill, a fantastic sea bass, and the roasted cauliflower, and they were all spectacular. One tiny gripe was that we asked twice for additional Harissa because it was super tasty. Both times we were told that would be fine, and they would place the order, but unfortunately it was not sent to the table. We finished the meal without it so didn't bother asking a third time. Otherwise all was excellent and we'd definitely go back

The Palomar offers a modern fusion of Jerusalem cuisine with international influences in a stylish setting adorned with mosaic and wood accents. The dining experience is likened to being wowed by a lineup of talented chefs who expertly prepare dishes at the 16-seater zinc bar. Guests can savor delectable offerings such as kubaneh bread, babaganoush, and an array of tantalizing drinks like the Au Revoir Shoshana cocktail.
One of my best dining memories from when I lived in London 6 years ago. Returning on my first visit back to London since and had an amazing meal. I was running late, the person at the front was so warm and welcoming taking my coat and reassuring me it was all good I was a few minutes late. The recommendations from the chef (I was seated at the bar) were great. I had the cucumber salad and chicken as my main at his suggestion which I highly recommend as well.

Fabulous unique dining experience in the theatre district . Superb service , terrific different menu options and great wine/ drinks list . Really enjoyed our special dinner. Highly recommend ! Special mention of the bream fish, lamb and chicken dishes seen in the pics plus we also loved the pork chops Go and enjoy - you will love it !
Sue R — Google review
Perfect post-show dinner. Counter seating perfect for 1 (or 2) people. Staff were super helpful to build the perfect meal for one. The cauliflower fritters were out of this world. Stracciatella was yum. The lamb was good, too, but the star of the dish was the burnt aubergine!
Rafael G — Google review
This review is long over due. I don’t know how I missed it. I was talking with my son reminiscing our London trip. We both unanimously agree that dinner at The PALOMAR was an unforgettable experience. The quality of the food and the up and close seating at the kitchen was the best. Every dish was on point.

Excellent food and great location. Sitting at the counter, the chefs were very engaging explaining about the food. Will definitely be having olive oil in my Martinis going forward!

An unforgettable dining experience in London! The Palomar delivered on every level, the food, the vibe, and the incredible staff made our night really special. The wine recommendations were spot on, and watching the chefs in action added a whole new layer of appreciation for the amazing food. Huge thanks to the team at The Palomar 🫶

Just Wow! This must have been one of the best restaurants I have ever been. Can highly recommend the pork chop, but everything was amazing. Staff is very attentive, Great service and the atmosphere is amazing. Choose to sit at the counter if you can, you can watch the chef up close preparing all the delicious dishes! 10/10

Amazing experience as always. Everything we ate was excellent, especially the breads, hummus and chicken. We’ve been a few times before and will certainly be returning the next time we’re in London. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a great experience.

Restaurant
The Barbary is a charming eatery located in the vibrant Covent Garden area, tucked away in the colorful Neals Yard. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its petite size and central kitchen that serves up Berber-style flavors from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. The weathered zinc bar wraps around an open kitchen where guests can enjoy watching their dishes being prepared.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Barbary in London, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with rich flavors and crafted with evident care. The restaurant’s ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the warm vibe of the place. However, our seating area was directly opposite the kitchen, which made it noticeably warm as there was no air-conditioning vent covering that section. Despite this, the lively view of the bustling kitchen added an engaging touch to our dining experience. Barbary’s unique blend of delectable cuisine and welcoming environment truly stood out. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vibrant dining spot in London, but perhaps request a table a bit farther from the kitchen if you're sensitive to heat.

The food here is amazing. It is something that I really recommend. Both the fish and the meat is great here, and the dips and the bread went so well with everything they had to offer. The staff here were really nice and provided excellent service when we were there. Great explanation of the menu and the whole "what goes well with this menu" overview. Unfortunately the venue was quite crammed. The open fire is great until it starts cooking you, and the music was quite loud for easy conversation. Nevertheless, this was a great restaurant for a dinner date.
Chris — Google review
Amazing!!! One of the best restaurants in London and, yet again, our new favorite. Incredibly creative, tasty North African specialties. Highly recommend it. We went through all the appetizers, some mains and one of the deserts. Every one of them unique and delicious. Lovely and kind service too. And having the seats in this tiny restaurant positioned around open cooking space adds to the enjoyment. Thank you!

Best kunafah I’ve ever had! We had a great dinner, the chicken was super tender, the labneh perfectly balanced with the spicy eggplant, and the halloumi with spicy sauce was just perfect. The staff were also very nice! Definitely a place to come back to. They could maybe improve the interior design a little, but the food absolutely makes up for it :)
Elif Y — Google review
A London must!!! My husband and I’s first time in London, best meal we’ve had here. The energy & team were so amazing. The food was what we called, “transcendent & elite!” As a chef myself I was blown away! Everything was truly magnificent. Thank you for having us. Thanks chef ! Oh yeah & heaven : the baklava ice cream sandwich will live rent free in my mind, body & soul until I return.
Nono W — Google review
YES!!!! Our expectations were high and The Barbary delivered 100 percent! Truly great food with wonderful and quite exciting flavors. We ordered a bunch of stuff from the menu, like 10 dishes for four people, and everything was amazing! We ate chili coliflower, grilled halloumi, octupus, pluma iberico, ”maroccan cigars” as well as several spreads and dips, such as silky smooth hummus, labneh, harissa and spinnach borani, Make sure to order the naan - one of the best ever! Extraordinary and friendly service!! Highly recommend!!!
Jesper C — Google review
My wife and I visited for lunch on a Thursday and were very pleased with the overall experience. We arrived at noon and were seated promptly by our server, Charles, just before the place started to get busy. He shared with us his personal recommendations on what to order as well as items they were known for. We ultimately went with the naan with three different dips (Za’aluk, Whipped Cod’s Roe, and Spinach Borani - you can’t go wrong with any of these but our favorite was the Whipped Cod’s Roe because we’re suckers for seafood), Moroccan Cigars (like crispy Mediterranean spring rolls), Pata Negra Pluma (grilled pork shoulder), Octopus, and Fattoush Salad. Every dish was a hit and the Pata Negra Pluma sealed the deal with the confit garlic. The cocktails were also on point. Shout out to Charles and his team for a wonderful first lunch on our London trip. It’s gonna be hard to top this one.

One of the most interesting experiences of dinner I’ve ever had, you are served in the kitchen counter, can see them preparing everything, very organized and cool. The food is fantastic, delicious, tasty and the herbs and spices are very well prepared. I loved.

Middle Eastern restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Coal Office Restaurant is a stylish and trendy establishment located in the chic Coal Drops Yard, with interiors designed by Tom Dixon. The restaurant offers modern Middle Eastern cuisine, with a menu curated by acclaimed chef Assaf Granit. The brunch menu features an array of delectable dishes such as Kubalah and Shakshuka Adama, perfect for indulging in a leisurely mid-morning meal.
The Coal Office great place for lunch or dinner - outdoor seating available and located in a wonderful redeveloped industrial yard next to a canal. Service was warm and helpful but this is a popular place, and it got a little less attentive as more people came to dine, probably due to short staff. The ambience is nice and comfortably contemporary/industrial I felt. The food is where this place shines - Tapas style portions with a strong Indian Asian Mediterranean influence is the way I would describe it (I absolutely loved it hence the 5 stars).
Mark A — Google review
Part of the impressive Coal Drop Yard development behind St Pancras station - the Coal Office cuisine is a mixed, Middle Eastern affair. Shades of Ottolenghi abound. The menu is divided between small bites, mid-sized and large plates. It’s a little confusing and does work out a little pricey as the line between under and over-ordering is a fine one. The breads were excellent - a good mix - ordered with a tahini dip that was nicely bitter and hot. I unfortunately did not pay too much attention to the menu as other family members were ordering so, can’t recall the details! The highlights were the grilled Hispi cabbage, the corn croquettes and the poussin - everything else was tasty but not outstanding. The low lights were the sardines - OK but not too much flavour - and the calamari - tiny little rings of OK’ness. The staff welcome was warm however, despite being relatively quiet, the service was slow - we had to go and ask for drinks - on the up side, given we are both fast and big drinkers, the inattentive drinks service probably saved us from ordering another bottle of wine! Desserts were fantastic though. A delicious chocolate ganache served on a chewy biscuit base, semifreddo with cherries, a lemon tart and a panacotta with strawberries all hit the spot. The dessert was a high point to end the meal. All in all it was OK but at £75 pp, overpriced.

Had a fantastic meal here over the weekend. We sat at the chef’s table and what a delight it was! The food was amazing. Many things on the menu we didn’t recognise, but all were explained thoroughly by the staff. Our favourite dishes were the Ana-Shuvi, Meshagea, Krov Cna’ani and Poussin, but notably mentions were Tartero Oto and the Cinematek. Special mention has to go to the Australian grillmaster whose name we failed to get, but who really looked after us throughout and made the afternoon our favourite dining experience of the year. Would highly recommend.

One of my favourite Mediterranean restaurants in London that does not lose the quality of food and service. Quality of food is very good, Bread and dips are beyond any expectations. It was super lovely to receive an additional dessert for free as well. Overall, a super well spent time :)

Absolutely in LOVE with food here ❤️ I can see the Mediterranean- Middle Eastern cuisine is now one of a kind in restaurants in London, and I’ve been to a couple of other restaurants. But I think this place impressed me the most with food! What a gorgeous flavour every meal brings to your taste buds. I was enjoying every bit of them! The waiters were very attentive and helpful too. We had a gorgeous food while enjoying Georgian wine which is a rare find in the UK. I would love to come back soon to check the rest of the menu ❤️

A brilliant experience. In terms of the food- it captured the perfect balance between creativity and quality. I was a particular fan of the tchouma sea bream and the anchovy bites! The atmosphere was great too. We loved the service and felt special from the moment we sat down. 5 stars in all departments!

The Coal experience was absolutely amazing! 🤩 The tastes unique, the atmosphere so warm and the guys working there seemed they really enjoy their job! Special thanks to chef Nicos and waiter Antonis😉

Great restaurant. Unique dishes - aubergine tartar was the standout, plus breads and dips. All the veggie dishes were amazing bar the hispi cabbage which was too vinegary. Lovely staff.

Persian restaurant
Restaurant
Berenjak Soho is a trendy and casual Iranian restaurant in London, offering a vibrant atmosphere and delicious Persian cuisine made with local, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant's interior features Instagram-worthy aesthetics with its rough plastered walls, foliage, and Middle Eastern-inspired decor. Known for its reasonable pricing and colorful plates, Berenjak has quickly become a popular spot in Soho. The menu boasts an entire section dedicated to kebabs, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to grilling.
We had the pleasure of visiting Berenjak for lunch, and what an experience it was! We booked our table two months in advance. We opted for the set menus, and from the very first bite to the last, the food was simply outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were unfailingly polite and attentive. Even with the set menu, the portions were generous, by the end, we were delightfully full. At one point, we had ordered an additional dish outside the set menu, which was accidentally missed. When we mentioned it and asked to cancel (as we couldn’t possibly eat another bite), our server not only removed it from the bill but also surprised us with a complimentary dessert as an apology. Considering the restaurant was constantly packed, this thoughtful gesture truly spoke volumes about the quality of their service. It was, without question, worth the two-month wait. Highly, highly recommended.
Sonali A — Google review
I visited this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. Although reservations usually open three months in advance, I went as a walk-in and arrived about 15 minutes before the 5:30 opening. I was seated shortly after waiting. Since I wasn’t too familiar with the menu, I asked a staff member for help. The explanation was clear and easy to understand, and he even recommended an appetizer that turned out to be absolutely delicious—I’d definitely order it again next time. From water service to menu guidance, every detail was taken care of, which made the whole experience very pleasant. Especially thanks to Charlie, who looked after us from start to finish, our anniversary dinner turned out to be exactly the joyful experience I was hoping for.
Woncheol C — Google review
Fantastic Persian food with Soho charm I had the Mirza Ghasemi for starter, coal-cooked aubergine with garlic, tomato and St Ewes Farm eggs and it was absolutely delicious, smoky and full of flavour. The Sangak flatbread was warm, fresh and perfect for scooping up every bit. The Jujeh Kabab Tond was beautifully grilled, tender poussin with a great balance of chilli, garlic and red pepper spice. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Sitting outside gave the perfect Soho vibe: lively, warm atmosphere and people-watching with amazing food.
Mahyad G — Google review
Our experience at Berenjak was absolutely wonderful, from the warm hospitality to the incredible food. Bart, the general manager, was especially welcoming and gave us excellent recommendations that really elevated the meal. The dishes were full of rich, authentic Persian flavors that truly stood out. The only small downside was that the dessert recipe has changed. I really loved the previous version and was hoping to have it again. Still, everything else made for a memorable dining experience, and I’ll definitely be returning!
Arwa A — Google review
I had been wanting to visit Berenjak for so long and finally managed a walk-in. The wait was long, but we got a table, and it was totally worth it! We started off with olives and nuts, then tried the Black Chickpea Hummus, Kashk-e-Bademjoon (aubergine dip), Jujeh Kebab, Koobideh Kebab, fragrant saffron rice, and freshly baked breads. Every dish was absolutely amazing. The hummus was one of the best I’ve ever had, super creamy, nutty, and perfectly balanced. The aubergine dip was beautifully charred and smoky. The kebabs were juicy, perfectly cooked, melting in the mouth, and the marinades were outstanding. The rice had just the right hint of saffron, pairing beautifully with the breads. Hands down, this was the best Persian food I’ve tried. It was also my birthday, and the team served us a Baklava Sundae, which was divine! A special shoutout to Chef Sarthak, Sharath, and Christian, the restaurant manager. Their courtesy and attentiveness elevated the entire experience. As a food blogger, I would highly recommend Berenjak. It completely lives up to the hype. I’ve already told so many people about it and will continue to do so. Can’t wait to visit again!
Manavi S — Google review
This place is just amazing. If you want to have Iranian food made from the highest quality ingredients & an explosion of different flavours in one bite. I would highly recommend this place. Make a reservation or you will have to wait in (a long) but quick queue. A must visit in London Soho & the staff is friendly and helpful in deciding what to order.
Amr D — Google review
I managed to get a spot at the bar where I could see everyone in action. Think “the Bear”, but friendly, with Iranian music in the background. I tried the lunch menu which was too much food but I didn’t care. Lamb was perfection, aubergine salad and yogurt salad so fresh and full of flavor. Georgian wine paired perfectly with everything. One of the best meals of the year. Book early!

Absolutely delicious meal. One of our recent top picks of restaurants we’ve tried in London in recent memory. Flavours were bold and worked really well together. Ingredients were fresh. And the reasonably priced set dinner enables you to try several of their top appetizers/breads and mains. We were too full to try their dessert. Most definitely reserve ahead of time or else it’ll be a late dinner for you.

ROVI is a stylish and tranquil destination that offers a diverse menu of Mediterranean cuisine. It has gained recognition for its innovative approach to dining, particularly with its emphasis on sharing small plates. Unlike the traditional trend where vegetarians may feel left out, ROVI ensures an inclusive experience by offering eight vegetarian sharing plates that are as exciting as their meat counterparts.
We had a brilliant time dining here before heading to the theatre — an unforgettable evening! We were three guests and were seated at a lovely large table near the kitchen, beautifully decorated with a big bouquet. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful — incredibly attentive, warm, and made sure we stayed perfectly on schedule for our show. The entire team, including the managers, made us feel genuinely cared for. Every interaction with the staff was a pleasure. As for the food: it was absolutely delicious. We ordered quite a bit from the menu, and while everything was excellent, my personal favourites were the tempura and many of the small plates. We loved the small plates so much that by the time the larger dishes arrived, we were already quite full — but happily took home some delicious leftovers. Overall, it was a casual, relaxed, and thoroughly lovely night out. Thanks to the entire team for making it such a memorable evening. We can’t wait to come back and try even more of the menu!

As a huge fan of the Chef, and after trying his restaurant in Geneva, we went to Rovi and the experience was amazing. The place is wonderful, the staff is great, and the food is of course delicious ! We shared the burrata with figs, the leeks, and the corn ribs as starters. The sauce with the leeks was delightful ! As mains we shared the octopus, the grilled chicken and the ricotta gnudi, which was our favorite. We had the chocolate doughnut and the figs with coconut sorbet for dessert, amazing as well, not too sweet. I highly recommend !

Literally my favorite restaurant in London! Went for our anniversary dinner and the staff made us feel incredibly special! Big shoutout to our sever Amy who went above and beyond and made the night unforgettable. All the food and desserts were fantastic and also great for veggie options. Can’t wait to return

Just had an outstanding meal at Rovi. Had the celeriac shawarma, leaks, roasted aubergine tops, trout, and the octopus. Everything was excellent. I was a little bit worried about the octopus as I had some read some earlier reviews that had said it was not tender, but I did not have that issue at all. Also enjoyed the hibiscus agua fresca, which got better as we continue to mix the syrup at the bottom of the drink. Otherwise can be a little bit tart, but very warming and zero proof. Excellent service, did not ever feel rushed, lighting, and ambiance are warm and welcoming. Love the thriving tropical plants that added some interest to the dining room room. Will definitely be trying some of the other Ottolenghi restaurants in the near future. Highly recommend.
Mercedes C — Google review
Given the hype and setting aside the cost for a second, it was disappointing that only 2 out of 6 of the dishes we ordered actually had an interesting flavour profile. The burrata was seasoned surprisingly well, and the ricotta gnudi were an interesting experience given that the ricotta and the lemon reminded me of dessert. The corn mash with aubergine was just ok, and the chickpea side had several full cloves of garlic. The plum tart was - again - just ok, and the miso fudge is so sweet it’s really hard to get through and might have been better as a single complementary bite at the end of the meal. Adding to the mid experience, the set menu was not available to us as everyone at the table has to order it and one of us is vegetarian. We asked, but there was no vegetarian option for the set menu - also a bit disappointing considering the fact that this is London in 2025. Price wise, some dishes are overpriced but I guess you pay for the name and it’s not a total shock. There are better restaurants out there at this price point tbh
Vitória S — Google review
Great restaurant for high quality dining with a relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of vegetable forward dishes and more meat focused ones. Definitely recommend getting a few "small" plates accompanied by one or two large plates for the table - everything was good but those small dishes were varied and delicious. Deserts were also very tasty and they have a good drink selection too.
Tom — Google review
The food’s inventive combinations of textures and smoky, sour flavours fully lived up to our expectations of Ottolenghi’s signature style. The service was friendly and attentive, but we couldn’t help feeling that everything was slightly rushed, as if our table needed to be cleared quickly for the next seating. When neighbouring tables received a small gesture for their special occasions, it was disappointing that ours was overlooked, despite mentioning it in our reservation. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit if you enjoy Ottolenghi’s cuisine, but be aware that you’re dining in a large, efficiently run restaurant rather than an intimate setting.
Julie V — Google review
Good as expected. Grilled cucumber with black sesame a highlight. Very nice burrata. Next time, I would skip the “Large plates” and have more of the “small plates”. The mushroom mixed grill was a bit bland and underwhelming (hence the 4*). Cod and lamb were good, but not as special as the first courses and nibbles.

NOPI, a chic and sophisticated restaurant in Soho by renowned chef Yotam Ottolenghi, offers a creative menu of Mediterranean dishes with fresh and bold flavors. The interior is adorned with marble and gold, creating a serene ambiance. The restaurant is known for its weekend brunch featuring dishes like Shakshuka-braised eggs, brown butter egg salad, and chickpea & herb pancake.
Everything was absolutely impeccable! The service was unmatched and everyone was so lovely and attentive. The food was delicious and couldn’t fault a thing. And the ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful! Thank you very much for making our night so special and memorable

After a year of living in London, we finally tried NOPI and it didn’t disappoint! We started with Ottolenghi’s spicy nuts and focaccia, both full of flavor and perfectly prepared. For mains, we shared a variety of dishes: aubergine, burrata, octopus, and lamb kofta, each one beautifully presented and delicious. The carrots and Wolves Lane greens made great sides. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the wait, we’ll be back!
Nestor C — Google review
Even despite being at basically full capacity they managed to find me a seat and served perfectly well past their closing time. The atmosphere is great, it's lively but also not too overwhelming thanks to lightning, candles, etc. Food wise absolutely incredible! The starter was divine, then the vege course was unfortunately very spicy for me but even so I could appreciate what an interesting taste it would've been if I could actually enjoy it 😅 And then the dessert... Delicious doesn't begin to cover it. I may or may have not moaned out loud from the first bite. 10/10, take it without even thinking. I got it because of a waiter's recommendation, after which he still described everything else in detail very patiently and helpfully. That's literally the standard of service business should aspire to be. Overall, highly highly recommend. The place is definitely not kosher though as they serve octopus, shellfish and pork. There are vege only options though! There's also no mocktails of any kind - missed opportunity in my opinion!
Ness — Google review
A fine dining Mediterranean spot with a modern, stylish vibe. Started with the Ottolenghi roasted spiced nuts. The fermented chickpea pancake felt too oily, but the server kindly swapped it for a heritage tomato and feta starter, which was excellent. For mains, the blackened chicken paired perfectly with the tomato dish. Friendly service and a thoughtfully crafted menu make this a great dining experience.
Vash — Google review
What a nice place, of course famous for its host Ottolenghi. We didn’t meet him there (neither did we expect to do so) but we had a very nice evening there with great food and service. The food is different than in other places but genuinely following the cooking style of its famous owner. The place is usually crowded so make reservations and get there in time.

This was my second visit to NOPI (my first was many years ago), and I was happy to find the food still consistently good and innovative. If you’re looking for bold combinations and layers of flavor in every dish, this is the place to go. We ordered several dishes to share: • Burrata & Peach — Fresh and enjoyable. The peach could have been riper and softer, which would have elevated the dish, but overall I would happily order this again. • Heritage Tomato — Interesting mix, tossed with olives, caperberries, pickled red onions, and spices, served over a bed of mild feta. Well-executed, but the flavors just weren’t what I was searching for, so I probably wouldn’t reorder. • Grilled Ox Tongue — Cooked beautifully, with the right balance of chewiness and tenderness. Served in slices with a buttery sauce, watercress and parsley salad, and shredded fried potatoes. Each element worked on its own, but together the flavors didn’t quite harmonize. Perhaps it felt muted compared to the brightness of the other dishes. • Aubergine — One of NOPI’s signature dishes, and deservedly so. Creamy grilled aubergine paired with explosive flavors that linger. Absolutely delightful. If it had been served hot, it would have been next-level. • Buttermilk Pork Chop — My favorite dish of the night. Grilled to perfection and paired with a vibrant chimichurri sauce that made it feel fresh and light. It also came with a mousse reminiscent of a lighter, more airy liver pâté, which added a subtle creaminess that elevated the pork beautifully. Note on seating: When making a reservation, you can choose between lower-level seating, counter seating, and ground-level seating. I recommend the ground level for the best ambiance. The lower level has large shared tables, great for smaller groups who enjoy a more communal setting with a view of the open kitchen. Overall: NOPI delivers inventive dishes with bold flavors and thoughtful presentation. While not every plate hit perfectly for me, the creativity and execution make it a restaurant worth returning to.

Nestled off the lively high street, this hidden gem of a restaurant delivers fantastic service paired with vibrant, flavorful dishes and a diverse selection of vegetarian and meat options. I couldn’t resist sharing a couple of veggie delights—succulent aubergine, a delightful chickpea pancake, and the irresistible Valdeón cheesecake, which truly stole the show and was the highlight of our meal. Probably I was quite full from the first few dishes, the pork belly didn’t quite wow me as much. The cozy tables are a bit close together, but it didn’t detract from our overall experience. Sadly, we were too satisfied to explore the dessert menu, but I’m already eager to return and indulge again!
JoyC — Google review
We came with high expectations as we have the chef's delicious books where we make weekly his dishes and are wowed everytime. The food is not cheap, we took 6 dishes plus dessert: - focaccia was good but not warm enough, it came with olive oil (delicious) - but was missing a balsamic sauce IMO - burrata was delicious - pumpkin was ok, I think it was missing a glaze so if you wouldn't grab all ingredients it was tasteless. - the skewer was delicious- the best dish, good flavours. Then the worst dishes - which I would expect better from this level of chef: - fish was literally bad, it came over some kind of veggie soup kind of sauce - which of course didn't compliment the fish and tasted stale. - the chicken - it came dry, those type of chicken on the bone should melt when you cut the meat, it didn't so it was a struggle to eat it, and too bad as the flavours did work. The waitress listened and they offered us a free dessert and they accepted the feedback very well. The 2nd issue is the noise, you can't hear yourself over people talking loudly. Overall - medium, id stay with making ottolongy's delicious food home.

Ottolenghi is a chic deli and takeaway spot that offers a fusion of flavors from North Africa and the Middle East. With multiple locations across London, each restaurant has its own unique charm and serves mouthwatering Mediterranean small plates and desserts. The elegant atmosphere makes it perfect for a date night or a gathering with friends.
Yes, it was delicious but it was more than that. The interior was fun right off the bat - pastries and salad items on display in front, a single round white table in the back for 6 or so. Order one main dish (hot or cold) and two salads. A riot of differing ingredients that somehow all worked wonderfully together. It was like being invited to a friend’s country home who also happened to be a world-class chef.
Robert I — Google review
The food was good - some dishes were better than others of course, but I love the complexity and interesting combination of flavors. I've no idea why anyone would complain of small portions. My friend and I each ordered a main with 2-3 salads. Each portion was sufficient to generous. We also each ordered a dessert and coffee. Each dessert was fantastic. Really lovely crumb and great flavors for my cake. The seating was limited but we managed a seat inaide at the community table. The people we sat beside were lovely. We had wonderful conversation. The service was friendly and attentive. When I recognized the name of a chef, our server had him come out to meet us. It was an embarrassing fangirl moment, but I very much appreciated the thoughtfulness and time dedicated to us. We had a great meal and a truly memorable experience; it was a highlight of my trip to London.

What can I say, Ottolenghi is just fantastic. Top quality baked goods and beautiful fresh salads. This time we bought 3 cookies and 2 cakes and all of them were outstanding. Perfectly baked and superb flavours. 100% worth the money.
Richard C — Google review
Everything I had was so delicious, well prepared, and had so much intentional flavor. Ottolenghi does it again. The Shakshuka was rich and packed with spice and complexity. The baked treats are vast and too many to just pick one, but if the three I had they were flawless. The table for 10 people in the back is cozy, first come first serve and is usually packed. No toilet so keep that in mind if you sit for a couple cups of coffee. The atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming. It is a great stop and go or if you are lucky and can get a seat grab it for a truly wonderful experience.

Beautiful take-away shop with a little communal table at the back. Highly seasonal, daily-changing menu. Delicious mains and great selection of salads from the counter. A true gem. No customer toilets.
Yaron A — Google review
Great place with kind staff and tasty food. The food comes out very quickly. The shakshuka is excellent and comes with a unique smoky taste. Only down side is that there's only 1 table inside and no bathroom, so it's less ideal for sitting.

Ottolenghi is a trendy delicatessen located on Motcomb Street in Knightsbridge that serves Mediterranean cuisine. Yotam Ottolenghi, the author of 3 bestselling cookbooks has 3 other delis in London as well as a restaurant. As I arrived, the place was very busy. With just one shared table at the back full of people having lunch I decided to have a take away salad box. With an array of beautiful salads and cakes in front of me, it was a real feast for the eyes. I opted for the Roasted Aubergine with Saffron Yoghurt, Walnuts, Pomegranate and Basil as well as the Green Beans with Hazelnuts, Orange and Taragon. The salads were well flavoured, tasty and of good quality for a salad on the go. They also had a selection of mains to choose from including beef, salmon, tuna, turkey and chicken. I felt that this place has been way over hyped. The salads are very decent but not mouth watering. However, staff are professional and very efficient. Take away salads are priced by weight at 100g. Prices are on the high side. You could go home feeling hungry.

Lovely food, and the deserts are amazing if you know what to pick! Chocolate and hazelnut brownie was great, halva and caramel slice was good too - spiced caramel with a light shortbread-like base. The baked chocolate tart with tahini and sesame brittle was an unexpectedly harmonious marriage of flavours, and delicious as well.

Bubala is a cozy Middle Eastern restaurant with locations in Soho and Spitalfields, offering exclusively vegetarian dishes inspired by the cafes of Tel Aviv. Despite its meat-free menu, the restaurant's flavorful and innovative dishes are sure to impress even carnivorous diners. Hands-down the best vegetarian set menu I have had in London. So much variety, nearly everything extremely tasty. Very friendly and caring staff. Strongly recommend to reserve a table and come with a group of 4 as you then get the best mix of both the vegetarian and the vegan set menu. One thing they could improve is the ventilation in the place, which can get quite warm when it's very full.

we had such a lovely evening at Bubala! we had been gifted the set menu for our engagement by a friend and absolutely everything was incredible! they have a vegetarian and a vegan version and they were very accommodating when we asked to swap a dish from the veggie menu for a vegan one! Special thanks to Kat who took care of us so well and even gave us a free glass of champagne each when we mentioned we were celebrating an engagement! we will definitely be back :)

Oh my gosh! AMAZING FOOD. This was an experience. Everything was so, so good certainly a recommendation for any foodie. And if you’re a vegetarian you have hit the jackpot. The orange wine here was also super peachy and a big recommendation to anyone who enjoys orange wine. I would certainly recommend to book a table prior though.

It was my first time dining at a vegetarian restaurant, and I was honestly blown away by how delicious everything was. The most memorable dish was definitely the oyster mushroom skewer — it had the texture and flavor of real yakitori, which was incredible. The honey and sesame dish was also a pleasant surprise, and even the pickles were fantastic. Every bite showed how creative and flavorful vegetarian cuisine can be.

I vaguely knew about Bubala, but mostly came in on a whim. And I can honestly say this was the best meal I've had in memory. Every course was delicious, creative, and memorable. And the wine list was excellent and surprisingly affordable. Next time I'm in London, I'll definitely come back.

Wonderful inventive, flavour-packed food. Set menu £44 but masses of food, the dips were incredible and we had plenty to take some home, enough for lunch for two the next day. Cocktails for £13-14 were great as well. If only plant based food was always this good. Strongly gluten free too. Waitress was also brilliant (sorry didn’t get her name…Malaysian) and all in all one of the best meals I’ve ever had. 10/10

Went as a group of four on a Saturday (with a reservation for sure) and two of us ordered the vegetarian menu, two of the vegan and then we shared them all. Just outstanding! I didn’t know hummus or labneh could be that good, like I love them already, but they do something special to make everything just that much more incredible. Loved the falafel, dolmas, and the mushroom skewers, just all so perfectly done. Order the tasting menu and just trust that you’re going to love all of it!

The food is absolutely delicious . We had the labneh and the bread (amazing), the mushroom skewers were the standout and halloumi was also delicious. For desert you should get the chocolate cremeux with olive oil ! Super friendly , helpful staff. Go on a Sunday if you’re not down for the set menu !

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in London. Everything we ordered was excellent, including the cocktails and dessert. Standouts for us were the yani manti (one of the most beautiful food presentations I’ve ever seen), the braised beetroot, and the spicy carrot spread with açma. Excellent scallops as well, and a generous portion (I find lately that ordering an expensive scallops dish at a restaurant means getting 3-4). I went with a pescatarian friend and will return to explore more of the menu on my next visit. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal time and food. My partner and I had the tasting menu to share, and what a memory it was. I am blown away by the kofte and scallops, lamb and dumpling. When I say these dishes evoked a smile from within, I mean it. We are both of Middle Eastern descent with refine palettes and we appreciate flavour, quality and execution when enjoying a culinary experience. I’m actually shocked that food can be this amazing. We want to come back before we’ve even left! Thank you for feeding, hosting and giving us an opportunity to enjoy an amazing date with insane food.

starters and dumplings were very tasty! main courses were a bit underwhelming. the main course of my friend took ages to come result to us finishing with our food and still waiting, so she got it for takeaway. When we try to cancel it waiter was insisting to bring it and we heard no apology.
PANAGIOTIS P — Google review
We went for the sharing menu and we felt like it was too much food for 4. Everything was delicious and fresh but the sardines were not needed. The highlight for us was the bread and manti! The lamb was great too so next time it’s more than enough with these two dishes! They have a good selection of wines(including orange), cocktails. The service was okay, our waiter felt too pushy and in the end waited at the table for us to leave him a review. Overall a pleasant experience with minor points to polish!
Kristin — Google review
Yeni is an absolute gem. Every dish we had was a creative masterpiece — modern, bold, and beautifully executed. The chef’s take on Turkish cuisine is imaginative and unforgettable, with each bite bursting with flavour. The mantı is a must — truly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. It’s not just food, it’s art. Service was fantastic too — warm, attentive, and welcoming. Highly, highly recommended. If you love food that surprises and delights, Yeni should be at the top of your list.

It was such a great place to have a reunion. 4 hours later, we left completely full (hearts and stomachs)! There was three of us and we ordered the following: açma basket + smoked butter pastırma – house cured spicy beef rib eye, chili pickles banduma – organic chicken, crispy yufka pastry, walnuts, chili butter orkney scallops, spicy almond muhammara, salty fingers, burnt butter sütlaç – rice pudding
Elena M — Google review
Yeni is the Turkish food at its best. They bring a very modern and tasteful touch to traditional Turkish dishes. All dishes in the menu are great but manti, inegol kofte and lamb are out of this world. I cannot recommend Yeni enough if you are looking for a chef restaurant with great food and quality service.

We ate here a few years ago between proms and did it again today. We had remembered what a fab place it was then and we were not disappointed. All the more special for lovely weather and being able to sit outside - continental style.

Food was mostly tasty, but the portions were rather small for the amount that was served (and prices that were charged). Like the food, the servers were hit and miss. The guys had a bit of an attitude/nonchalance. But the redeeming factor was the service from waitress Vivi who was really attentive and patient.

Fantastic food! We stay in a nearby hotel and consulted TripAdvisor and Google for dinner options. We thought, good ratings, let's try... I'm very glad we made that call. Had lots of little dishes to try and all of them were fantastic. Truly great authentic food (maybe skip the blackberry mess dessert). Make reservations!
Patrick M — Google review
Delicious food! We can recommend the lamb shoulder, the battered squid, the spiced chicken breast on lentils, the artichoke & pea salad, the butternut squash and also all dips and the warm pita bread. The rabbit leg on white beans was slightly dry. The rice has a note of cinnamon and is tasty too. The housemade pale ale beer and pilsner beer are good. The atmosphere is pleasantly stylish. The service is friendly and gives many recommendations what could be ordered. When we arrived at 4:30pm, only a few tables were taken. When we left around 6:15pm, the place was full.
Sa N — Google review
Lovely food. We ordered a lot of different things but we enjoyed the lamb shoulder and zucchini fritters the most. The cardamom ice cream and the dark chocolate tahini mousse were amazing as well. The chicken and the rabbit were nicely cooked but not very well seasoned, all the flavour came from the lentils/beans. Nice dips with warm pita as well! The food came quickly and the service was very polite. I definitely recommend!
Aleksandra W — Google review
Good Mediterranean restaurant, the concept is small maze dishes - the size was generous for small dishes, they recommend three per person and that was a lot of food I liked the food, from the lamb to the shakshuka they were well seasoned and quite delicious We did get one pudding which sorts off ruined the food experience as it felt like the sort of a pudding one buys from an external supplier and it wasn’t nearly as fresh as the rest of the food - we should have skipped the pudding We were unlucky that the coffee machine was broken so they had no hot coffee for either coffee or tea. They also do not brew Turkish coffee so we had to skip the hot drinks The service was okay, I believe they had two people serving at lunch All in all solid lunch and I’ll want to come back and try more dishes
Ronnen B — Google review
Absolutely loved it, we had an early lunch and got a table easily but it filled up quickly so later definitely book. Staff took time to explain the small plates menu. So much to choose from and all delicious great vegetarian options too. Highly recommend

First and foremost, the food was all -excellent- in terms of quality and taste! The service was also great; friendly, fast and engaging. The atmosphere was relaxed and had good air conditioning :) We had the lamb shoulder (my favorite), some flatbread with three dips, the polenta fries, and the eggs with tomato reduction and halloumi. Also got some watermelon juice sodas, which were a bit sweet for my tastes, but very unique, fun and still tasted great. Definitely expensive though ... I'd consider the total portions to be a small lunch, but ended up being £65. If you're ok with spending that, then there's probably no better place for it! I hope to come back sometime in my travels.

Le Bab Soho is a casual eatery that offers a modern take on Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine, particularly known for its creative shawarma and other charcoal and wood-cooked dishes. Led by chef Federico Preto, the restaurant prides itself on making everything in-house, from bread to pickles.
Despite rocking up at 950pm, the staff were super accommodating and agreed to feed us even though kitchen shuts at 10pm! Super friendly and delicious. We went with their superb recommendations, charred broccoli, flat iron hummus (super generous portion of steak!), fried chicken and the showstopping butter chicken kebab. Every morcel was delicious and we left very full with great non alcoholic drink options too! All at a very reasonable less than £60! Highly recommend.

Good reliable food and good options of non alcoholic beer and cocktails. Service was great. We had the salad bowls and the kale was perfectly crunchy. Highly recommend the: 🔥 lamb adana or chicken 🔥 pistachio kulfi The place is extremely loud so you'll need to shout even in a group of three but it was a fun vibe.

Ideal spot for lunch. Enjoyable meal, food was tasty, menu had a few different options that I would come back for. Service was good, price was very reasonable. I went solo and had a nice spot by the window overlooking the courtyard area. Wouldn't recommend for a dinner but definitely ideal for lunch.

I had the best time here. The restaurant was cute, the waitress was really lovely and friendly, and the food was delicious. I recommend the flat iron hummus (my favourite), the smoked honey halloumi and the butter chicken kebab. It said on Google that Le Bab was started by chefs who previously worked in a Michelin star restaurant and honestly you can really tell in the food, it’s incredibly well made. I’ll defo come again.

A phenomenal meal. We went a random Tuesday evening to escape the rain. We had an incredible time. Our server, Fadima was amazing. So much charisma and charm. A lovely server who gave us the best recommendations (we took them all). The food was insane! We had the paneer kebab (usually meat eaters) and was so impressed. I’d highly recommend.

Before saying anything about the food, I would like to thank the staff for their warm welcome and making sure that I was comfortable with my surroundings dining in solo, as the place was packed. The food was amazing and fresh!! Definitely coming back! Shukran to Shaz for being fabulous and making my day with an amazing service 💓

The ambiance is enhanced by Moroccan lamps, flickering flames, rose petals, and water features, creating a palatial and inviting atmosphere. Guests can indulge in Middle Eastern mezes, tea, tagines while enjoying live music and captivating belly dancing performances on weekends. The culinary offerings are described as a masterpiece with authentic flavors and impeccable presentation.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kenza Restaurant , and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere, complete with stunning belly dancing performances that added an exotic touch to the evening. The food was absolutely delicious. The variety was impressive, with succulent chicken, tender beef, and flavorful lamb , all perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chicken wings were a particular highlight, crispy on the outside yet juicy and flavorful inside. The extraordinary salad was fresh, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the rich meats. The drinks menu was extensive, offering a wide range of options to suit every taste. Each drink was crafted with care, adding to the overall dining experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. Their service added a personal touch that made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, Kenza Restaurant is a fantastic place for a memorable night out. Whether you're there for the mouth-watering food, the lively entertainment, or the warm hospitality, you're guaranteed to have a great time, that's how we felt, and we'll be coming back soon. Thank you 💐

Kenza is on first table so you can come for 50% off food if you book via that. Food was great and there’s belly dancing too! The lamb main portion size was a bit small though but since we had discount, it didn’t matter. Nice vibe and lovely staff.

I attended a company Christmas party at this restaurant. I loved that authentic middle eastern atmosphere in the restaurant, and the service was quick! While both the vegetarian and regular menus didn’t feature anything particularly new, the dishes were traditionally prepared and tasted good. What I enjoyed the most was getting to see belly dancing up close. The dancers were amazing, and it was a lot of fun watching other guests join in and dance as well. This is a restaurant I’d recommend for groups looking to have a lively and enjoyable time together.

Sometimes a treat is necessary. The staff are so attentive that even dining alone is amazing. The menu is superb and I had something from each part. The meat is cooked to perfection. The wine menu is also recommended. I went on a Monday and enjoyed the entertainment- belly dancing she was so good. So it's definitely worth asking if there is dancing when you book. The restaurant itself is beautiful - a real find

The rice was veryyyyyyyy plain. I would give 1 star if it wasn’t for the service and atmosphere. Food was too bland for my liking, you need more spices and flavour in your meats, chicken, rice and everything. Strawberry lemonade was amazing though.

My visit to Kenza restaurant was truly exceptional and an unforgettable experience. The moment I walked through the doors, I was enveloped in the inviting and aromatic atmosphere of Lebanese cuisine. The food was a culinary masterpiece, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors and impeccable presentation. I can't stress enough how much I recommend dining here. But what truly made the evening stand out was the captivating entertainment provided by the talented belly dancers. Their performances were mesmerizing and added an extra layer of excitement to the whole experience. The rhythmic movements, colorful costumes, and graceful artistry of the dancers transported us to a different world, making the night even more special. The staff at Kenza restaurant were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel like valued guests throughout our meal. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the decor transported us to the heart of Lebanon. It was a sensory journey that delighted not only my taste buds but also my eyes and ears. If you're looking for an unforgettable evening filled with delectable Lebanese cuisine and captivating entertainment, Kenza restaurant is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough, and I can't wait to return for another enchanting experience.

Bala Baya Restaurant Bankside is a bi-level Tel Aviv-style eatery and bar in London, offering Israeli dishes in both casual and upscale dining areas. The menu features a mix of larger feasting plates and smaller snacking dishes meant for sharing, following the Middle Eastern style. Vegetarian options are highly recommended, with the caramelized cauliflower dish being a standout highlight. The restaurant is known for its generous use of big flavors like tahini, chili, pomegranate, and citrus.
Outstanding sharing plates and creative flavour combinations! Clever and thoughtful approaches to classic dishes. My friend and I shared 2 small plates and 2 large plates. We thought the ceviche and the cauliflower were particularly stand-out dishes with creative textures and spices. I also really loved the feta + apricot starter, it was such a fun, fresh dish. Their house-made sodas were fantastic and perfect on a hot London afternoon, highly recommend the mango & coconut soda. Underrated spot, will definitely be back!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere and brilliant and attentive service! Food is superb and very delicious. I love that the dishes are creative and well presented. This restaurant is a real standout. The staff are warm and professional, creating an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and refined. The food is the real highlight - every dish feels carefully thought out, full of unexpected flavors that actually work together. It is the kind of place that surprises you in the best way possible and leaves you wanting to come back soon.

Second visit to Bala Baya and it was as delicious as the first. The small plates are delicious, and manage to be both light and filling . The hummus breakfast was a favourite among my group, with creamy hummus, chick peas, and warm pita. The mini mess aubergine dish had great flavour, especially from the sweet onions. Cocktails were well made, and our server was friendly and attentive, keeping a fresh water bottle on our table throughout and bringing a small extra on the house. I strongly recommend this for anyone who likes mezzo food.

Exceptionally good! The place is really nice too, a lot of space between tables. Not cheap, though: we spent ~94/person (~3 tapas/each + pita, a bottle of wine, dessert and coffee or dessert drink)
Giuseppe M — Google review
Had a great evening here with friends. We ordered hummus, pita, nuts, bagel, cabbage, cauliflower, prawns, chicken, fish ceviche, as well as two desserts. The small and medium dishes were all great. The desserts weren’t really to our taste. It was a bit noisy and hot upstairs so we asked to be moved outside. Beware it if rains. Staff were all friendly and ready to look after you.

Best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a very long time, if ever. We arrived at 3:00pm, an awkward in between time for kitchens and the host kindly allowed us to sneak in an order even though the kitchen was near closing. The quality of the food and cocktails were impeccable. We ordered the basil and mint sour, the aubergine mess, the hummus with short rib, and the lamb kebab. Beautiful flavours and it will be a definite return trip and recommendation to friends and family in London.

Delicious Lebanese cuisine. Salute to the chef. Bread came hot out of the oven to our table. Huge portions of food. Great service. One of the best restaurants that I have ever eat in while in London. Pricey but worth it.

Our experience at Ishbilia Restaurant in London was absolutely wonderful! The dishes were incredibly delicious and well-prepared, with excellent cleanliness standards. The service was outstanding, and the staff was very friendly and helpful, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. A prior reservation is recommended, as the restaurant requires a deposit to secure your booking. Without a doubt, Ishbilia is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in London, and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Arabic cuisine!

Amazing Lebanese restaurant a few blocks away from Harrod’s. Highly recommend the outdoor patio seating in summer - just perfect on quiet side street away from the chaos of main road in Knightsbridge. Food is excellent - simple but perfectly prepared. Our favorites include the hummus lamb and pine nuts appetizer, charcoal grilled chicken wings appetizer, the chicken shwarma platter, baby marinated chicken, and of course the garlic sauce. Put it on everything. The vegetable appetizer place is a great touch. Staff is super friendly and fast. Usually pretty busy, especially for seats in outdoor patio area during summer. One of my favorite spots in London - highly recommend.

Amazing food very authentic Service was absolutely perfect. I booked a table and eventhough i arrived late for my booking I was seen and served and I made a request to change tables they were very accommodating. The waiters were so polite and kind and not obnoxious as most fine dining places are. They even surprised my husband with a birthday candle and free baklawa. We were so happy with everything thank you so much for hosting us.

The employee was very rude. He first offered us a table, but after we sat down and said we only wanted dessert, he told us we had to either order a full lunch or leave. This was really strange it’s a restaurant, and customers should be able to order whatever they want from the menu. Very disappointing, and I will never come again.

Visited this gem of a restaurant for the first time last night. The food was simply delicious, such good vegetarian options, makes a nice change. I saw items never seen before in Lebanese restaurants in the UK. The grilled halloumi was so fresh and tasty, the best! What made it really special was the staff. Both gentleman who served me were friendly and attentive. One of whom served me a dish I hadn’t ordered, but let me have it complimentary with such kindness. Keep up the great work team, this is how you should run a local business!

We had a great experience at Al Waha. The food tasted amazing, and I especially recommend trying their wide range of starters there’s so much variety and everything we tried was full of flavour. The lamb stood out as a favourite for us, and I’d definitely suggest giving it a try. Another good shout out is the hummus, usually I’m not a big fan but this one was amazing I enjoyed it incredibly. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, and their joyful attitude really added to the atmosphere. It’s always refreshing to see a team that genuinely enjoys what they do. Overall, I definitely recommend giving this place a shot it’s worth the visit!

First time having Lebanese: it definitely set the standard! I had dinner with a friend in October 2024 and tried many dishes. We were both amazed by this delicious cuisine and we still think of it from time to time. The quality of food was high, service was perfect, coffee was very nice and the owner offered us a taste of baklava.

Good Lebanese mezze in a relaxing atmosphere. The food was fresh; some dishes excellent but some average. The highlights were the okra and bread. Absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the moutabal lacked the seasoning and smokiness I was used to enjoying. The tabbouleh was fresh but very watery and lacked the seasoning to give it a much needed lift. Having eaten and cooked a lot of Lebanese food it was easy to tell which dishes were homemade vs mass-produced. Each mezze dish costs around £8-£9 or £25 for 3 dishes. The service is friendly and pleasant.

I have to say we received the best service from Manager & staff. My daughter has multiple food allergies and we were given excellent choices of food from menu that catered for her. Highly recommend booking table as this place is popular. Halal. Delicious food made fresh and friendly staff. 10/10 Thank you for being so helpful.

The food was really delicious but a bit overpriced for the portions you get, that is one star down from me. The staff were really welcoming and nice and the food came really quickly, and was presented beautifully. My husband's kebab order came with a kitchen letter and mine was without. He did struggle a bit when eating as the paper was getting in the food, so my suggestion would be not to put papers on the kebabs. The other thing is that when we were ordering the waitress kept saying this is a bit spicy are you okay with that, to which we confirmed that we are okay several times, but this does not affect the star rating. I would recommend this place to others, although we are not coming back and that is only because of the prices and portions I would suggest the Dirty Bab and loaded fries
Doruntina K — Google review
The aubergine sabich was DELICIOUS. So flavorful!! The hummus super food bowl was also fantastic. The only thing they could improve is the music. The vibe was very nice, but the Anglo pop and ballad hits playlist really had nothing to do with the rest of the experience.

It is very unique food and very tasty. The location is nice and there is an inside and outside table and the staff are friendly but the service is a little slow due to the crowd. Thanx to Alex and Hassan for their service. I advice u to try the mix mezza

We visited this place for lunch. There were 3 of us and were offered seats at the bar. The service was extremely slow throughout. The starters were fine, although the halloumi was slightly burnt. Mains were small portions and very average, with the meat being a bit dry and they served the food on some kind of kitchen paper which got soggy and eventually became a bit unpleasant. We got coffee after the food which was of pretty poor quality. Our waiter was not attentive and we had to ask for a takeaway box twice. The bill, as well as the food took very long to get to us which unfortunately made our experience worse. We thought that the prices were not justified given the quality of the food and the service.

Me and my friend had a delicious lunch here just as lunch service was starting so it was very quiet. We sat outside which is very pleasant and the service was great! The food is delicious. My only comment or query is that my butter paneer kebab came out with 4 pieces of cheese while my friend’s chicken kebab was served with far more chicken and is a cheaper dish by 50p. Is chicken cheaper than cheese now ? Don’t stinge out on the veggies please.

What an absolute treat! I’ve been meaning to go to Honey & Co for a while and ended up going with a friend to Honey & Smoke. Everything about the restaurant feels carefully thought through and to a very high standard. The tasting menu is priced around £60-70 (depending on how many courses) but it was well worth it and the serving sizes were generous. All of the flavours were on point! The cheesecake at the end was not to be missed.

We were a group of six people. The grill was good, although pricey. The labneh and falafel were also good. However, the hummus was disgusting—reminiscent of the canned hummus served in the military. We shared this feedback with the waitress, but no one seemed interested.

Couldn’t thank the team at Honey & Smoke more. I have a complicated pregnancy related food intolerance, haven’t been able to handle smell and taste of any kind of onions and garlic for the past 7 months. Felt stupid sending them a message to see if there’s anything I can order from their menu, totally expecting them to politely invite me back when I’m ‘normal’ again. To my surprise, the front of house staff Simran checked with the chef and they offered me a decent menu within 24hr! They have taken an extra mile to make special marinade/ sauce/ paste just for my dishes. That was truly the best meal I’ve had this year! The combination of flavour, texture, colours - brought back the joy of eating that I’ve almost forgotten by now. Not a single question on number of guests, or visiting time, just a genuine ‘we want you to have a great time eating at Honey & Smoke’. We had a beautiful selection of bread with zaartar oil, grilled pear with walnut tahini for starters. For mains, we had the tuna skewers with leafy salad and also the smoked duck breast, walnut cream, pickled quince, radicchio & candied walnuts. For dessert we had the famous cheesecake and plum cake. Thank you again team H&S! Will be back soon!

A truly phenomenal restaurant! One of our absolute number one fancy restaurants in London right now. Really stunning food and absolutely great service. The menu is regularly changing but consistently absolutely delicious, right down to the smallest details like the sauces and definitely the breads! Middle Eastern cuisine at its finest. I would really recommend their lamb dishes. They’re always great in my opinions. My only issue is that in recent years the prices have become a little bit mad. In my opinion, £9.50 for a side of potatoes or starter of bread is simply a little inappropriate, although the mains are fairly reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and service though too.

Every dish is more flavorful than the last, showcasing the family's passion for authentic Syrian cuisine. The restaurant also provides attentive and friendly service, ensuring meals are served promptly. The family's commitment to quality and authenticity is evident throughout the entire dining experience. Highlighted dishes: Yemeni style falafel Fried cauliflower

There are some places you go to just for one dish. That’s because there’s only one thing they get right, but they do it superbly. Then there are those rare places you discover where everything is stand-out delicious, and that is Honey and Smoke. The only slight let down was the hummus, which most places get right. Honey & Smoke’s Labaneh was the absolute best! Now I suppose I won’t find a table because it will be packed – which it deserves to be.

OMG - this restaurant is fabulous. The food is amazing - fresh Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean fusion flavours, with excellent service and a good wine list. Amazing food and impeccable service! I came here for dinner before a show, and had a wonderful time! We had the mixed grill, cauliflower, and fatteh (with aubergine), split between two. As well as a fresh lemonade and a Bellini. Everything we had was delicious and I would absolutely recommend all of these dishes. We didn’t have time for dessert, but they gave us a little complimentary sweet at the end. I didn’t catch the name but I think it was lokum, and like everything else it was lovely! The people working at the restaurant were very friendly and hospitable, frequently refilling water, and clearing dishes as they emptied to give us more space. Including tip, it came to £36 each, which was good value for the quality and the fact that we were in central London

The food is very delicious and the place is small but beautiful and warm. I ordered a delicious Fattoush salad and a wonderful tasting green beans. I also ordered shish tawook with very delicious rice. You have to eat there. There are two employees, one of them is a beautiful and polite Indian woman, and her treatment is elegant and wonderful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was happy to have lunch in your restaurant.

Restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Carnaby Street area, Zahter is a culinary gem that showcases the talents of chef Esra Muslu, who previously honed her skills at renowned establishments like Ottolenghi Spitalfields. This modern Eastern-Mediterranean eatery boasts an inviting café-style ambiance, complete with an open kitchen where diners can marvel at the flames dancing from charcoal and wood-burning grills. The menu is a delightful reflection of fresh produce, changing frequently to highlight seasonal ingredients.
We had a truly wonderful experience at Zahter Restaurant in London. From the very first moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a kind Turkish lady at the entrance who made us feel instantly comfortable and at home. Our waitress, Ms. Seda, provided exceptional service throughout our visit — she was professional, polite, and incredibly friendly. Her sincere smile and warm hospitality truly made our day. We sat by the window, which gave us a beautiful view and a cozy atmosphere. The place itself is elegant, clean, and filled with positive energy. The tea was served immediately, and everything we ordered arrived perfectly prepared and full of authentic Turkish flavor. Every detail, from the presentation of the food to the attentiveness of the staff, showed real care and quality. We were very impressed by how welcoming and genuine everyone was. It’s rare to find a place where you feel both like a guest and like a friend at the same time, but Zahter managed to create exactly that feeling. We left with smiles on our faces and will definitely come back again. A big thank you to Seda and the whole team for making our visit so special. We highly recommend Zahter Restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious Turkish cuisine, great service, and a warm, heartfelt atmosphere in the center of London. 🌿🇹🇷

Nice restaurant in a good location in London. The food was all tasty, but a little overpriced for the quantity. It would have definitely been nice to have more bread or the waitress to explain that we should have ordered two of them. The waiting staff generally were very inattentive. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks, and we had to go inside to pay because no one was around. Overall, the food is delicious but the price is too high for the level of service and portions.

Yummyyy! Loved the Ali Nazak (ground beef and lamb with aubergine). The pastry with spinach was good too. The garlic labneh and the bread was such a good starter. Slightly on the higher price side.

Very good location in the crowded central London, but away from tourists. The food is fantastic and the service is warm and friendly. Me and my friend both really enjoyed it. This also gave me a good start before heading my first trip to Turkey!

This Turkish restaurant in Soho offers an amazing feast! I highly recommend trying the Ali Nazik, börek, hummus, beef shish, and baklava — everything was incredibly delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. It’s impressive that the restaurant received Michelin recognition in both 2024 and 2025, yet the prices remain very reasonable for the quality and taste they deliver.
Rabia M — Google review
A night to remember! Booked for dinner with the missus, had no idea what to expect going in (except for the baklava), and was completely blown away how amazing the food is. Went for the bread with Smokey yoghurt dip, the other dip (1st of the small plates, the orange/red one in the pics) which was a must get in my view, then the lamb+beef mince, spinach pastry, and wrapped with the baklava. Would recommend all of them. The reason I came away so impressed is despite the beautiful and complex flavors of each dish, they were all unique, so each dish is taking your taste buds to discover new realms. A lot of the times, when it comes to cuisines from this region, it’s easy for all the dishes to merge and blend into one flavor, making things repetitive and boring. It is the complete opposite at the Zahter. And it’s all down to a great menu design, spot on recs by the waiting staff and of course some superb cooking by the chefs! This would become my default Turkish spot in London whenever someone asks me.
Joel Y — Google review
The overall quality was good enough, though I noticed the food portions have become smaller compared to last year. For a Middle Eastern/Turkish restaurant, where bread is usually an essential part of the dining experience, it felt strange (and a bit disappointing) that no bread was offered with the meal. When we asked, the staff weren’t very accommodating, so we ended up buying toast from a nearby shop just to feel satisfied. The flavours are still enjoyable and the atmosphere is nice, but small details like this make a big difference, especially in a place that should feel warm and generous by nature of its cuisine.

All the food was more than expected! In particular, baklava with kaymak was the best I experienced. The fish and shrimp dish was really nice. It is on the pricy side, but worth trying! The staff there was also very kind and polite.

Akub Restaurant, located in a quiet Notting Hill backstreet, offers a delightful dining experience with its unique design featuring an inverted butterfly roof and arabesque William Morris pomegranates. Chef Fadi Kattan's Palestinian-inspired menu includes perfectly plump aubergines filled with pickled carrots and coriander, shish barak parcels of spiced pumpkin, and the sumac-infused musakhan.
Lovely little spot with a wonderful selection of food. We opted for brunch (it’s sharing style here) I’d recommend getting one main dish (we all got an egg variant) and then a few things like the hummus and bread. The focaccia is delightful and the rest of the food is flavourful too. Would highly recommend a visit. Be mindful of booking in advance
Robi C — Google review
Staff and atmosphere were spot on—faultless service from start to finish. Every team member knew the menu like they wrote it. Great mocktails, solid wine list. I had the chicken bread parcel. Tasty, but after a few bites it got a bit repetitive. Would’ve been better as smaller parcels, more of that flaky pastry in each bite. Some great vegan options. Still, if you’re into Middle Eastern flavours, it’s absolutely worth a visit.
Ian B — Google review
Two for two with my restaurant guide book and I may have been converted to a brunch person. Got very lucky with a walk-in table, also, apologies, next time I go I will take better pictures of the interior. It is warm and elegant, with smart simplicity. Clean colors, beautiful pottery, dishes engraved with tiny flowers. There wasn’t a thing on the menu that didn’t sound good but eventually we settled on a spread of smaller savory plates to share. I’m picky about pickles and all about details and these I would absolutely call an essential order. And the focaccia. My god the focaccia. We also got the Arabic bread which, don’t, it was tough and dry and didn’t bring much to the table- so definitely skip that for this because THIS. Was one of the best breads of my life. and I love bread, so I’ve had a lot of it. It was plush and soft and spiced to perfection, great by itself but an excellent companion for the other things we got: zaatar labaneh (on the thicker side, might get hummus next time), the maftool and batikh salads (100000/10 no notes perfection. Watermelon and mint, I don’t know if we’ve managed to top that) and the grilled nabulsi cheese- I don’t know exactly what the black spice rub on top was but we mopped it off that plate. That with the bread and the watermelon, a perfect meal, I’d be damn happy to have it everyday. So brunch is a must, but I’m very excited to come back for dinner. They have a cheesecake that’s gonna be sorry it met me.

An extraordinary experience - the food and the atmosphere were incredible. I came with my fiancée to celebrate her birthday and everything was exceptional. We ordered the Akub pickles, Grilled Nabulsi Cheese, Sandweeshat Akub, Qalayet Bandora, Arabic Coffee French Toast and then were given a complimentary birthday dessert - not sure what it was called but it was sponges, covered in pistachios and drowning in a cardamom and fenugreek soak. An incredible culinary experience - we will be back. 🇵🇸

Amazing restaurant, the food taste amazing the drinks were perfect. The atmosphere was stunning. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some really great foods. All the staff were very friendly me and my partner had a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a date night.

Wow. Just wow. I can’t recommend Akub highly enough! Everything on the menu looked delicious. Thanks to suggestions from the very helpful staff, we chose the sea bass (finely sliced, cured in arak and beautifully spiced with sumac) and a selection of vegetable dishes. All were expertly prepared and presented. To finish, even though we were full, we had to try a dessert. Again, flawless! A cross between a chocolate mousse and ganache, with crushed biscuit and ice cream on the side. This is a true local gem, tucked away on a little Notting Hill side street.

On our spontaneous day trip to London we were lucky enough to book the restaurant on the same day through the online booking system. I'm not sure how difficult it is to book normally. The staff were friendly, helpful and happy to give recommendations. The mocktails were flavourful and the food was delicious, well presented and perfectly portioned. The watermelon salad, tahini aubergine and selection of breads were great and just a few to name which we loved. The cheesecake and wine pairing to finish were also delightful. Highly recommend this restaurant ❤️🇵🇸

The bill came to just under £80 including 2 beers, a sparkling water, and 12.5% service As we left Baban came out of the kitchen and talked to us on the street asking how everything was. A really special and personal touch. We'll be back!

Common Breads is a modern Lebanese bakery in London founded by three childhood friends. They offer traditional street food classics from Beirut, including 'ka'ak', a purse-shaped bread topped with sesame or nigella seeds and served as a sandwich. Another highlight is the 'manouche', an ultra-thin flatbread topped with za'atar and akkawi cheese or other tasty combos. Visitors praise the helpful and friendly staff, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere.
Every visit is perfect! the food is always fresh, flavorful, and truly the best Lebanese in the city. Their oat chai is unmatched, and the owner ( Kamal) is so warm and welcoming. Clean, professional, 10/10.I’d love to see them open more locations.

The cheese manakish, musakhan, and spinach pies were absolutely incredible. The owner manages the restaurant himself, and the location is just perfect. I truly congratulate him and wish him even more success and new branches in the future. You can actually ask them to make the pastries in a small size for takeaway — they were absolutely delicious, arrived hot and fresh, and perfectly clean. Truly amazing!

They tailored our order perfectly, offering a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s preferences. The food was outstanding — fresh, delicious, and of the highest quality — and the service was just as impressive. Our team and guests were genuinely impressed, and it made the event feel extra special. I would wholeheartedly recommend Common Breads to anyone looking for catering that combines quality, variety, and excellent service.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better :) I also loved that you can buy some goodies to take home, like sumac and za’atar, I can’t wait to try them! Highly recommend this place.

I saw this place on insta, and wanted to try during my visit to London. Indeed will be back. Food was so delicious and tasty. I ordered the chicken kaak, and the flavours blend in your mouth. The idea of having chicken in kaak, is really unique. Also tried the labne and makdous. Initially I was a bit reluctant to try as it’s one of my favourite breakfasts back home, and didn’t want to be disappointed, but I am glad I tried it and it was so yummy. Highly recommended. What’s best then ending this visit with a sweet taste of Kunafa. Simply yummy 😋😋. Place is highly recommended

Absolutely delicious food! The owner is incredibly nice, and the ingredients are super fresh and generously portioned. The Fattoush salad might just be the best I’ve had in the UK – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The grilled fish is made to order, and I could smell a gentle charcoal aroma coming from the kitchen – truly authentic and mouthwatering. Even the flatbread is exceptionally well made – perfectly baked, with a natural aroma that really brings out the flavor of the grain itself. Highly recommend Yasmina Restaurant and Bakery!

I’ve been going to this restaurant for a long time and it’s always been amazing, but this was my first time ordering through their website—and I can’t believe how badly it went. I paid in full, never received my food, and called eight times with no confirmation or update. Completely unacceptable for a place I used to love. Don’t ever order from them online! Absolute scam and liars.

I honestly don't understand how people can say this place is no good. This is one of my favourite places in London and everything it's just so so good. The place is small and intimate, no more than 9 tables but it's always full. Food is gorgeous, very tasty; big (huge) portions and it's so cheap. Staff are always very nice; you don't have to wait for between meals and you can see how the meals are prep with fresh ingredients. Pita bread it's the best I've ever had - it's made with cinnamon- so delicious! Hummus - gorgeous! Chicken&lamb - rich and full of flavour Everything is delicious and flavoursome. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. We spent around £25 and we ate well (next day went to McDonald's and spent more - we were still hungry, just for comparison)

Our first time trying Yasmina. We stopped by for a late lunch and loved the food. The hummus Beiruti was yum, and the freshly baked bread served with it was a bonus! The manakeesh was exactly what we were looking for. Both the zaatar+cheese and the lahm manakeesh were hot, crispy and delicious. The tea and fresh juice were great too. The service overall was really good, even though it was quite busy, and they were really friendly throughout. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Comptoir Libanais is a vibrant Lebanese counter-style restaurant and shop offering a colorful array of meze, mint tea, crockery, and ingredients. The South Kensington location offers an unforgettable sensory adventure with its vibrant atmosphere adorned with colorful lamps and iconic paintings. The friendly and attentive staff enhance the dining experience while the fresh and spicy flavors of the Middle Eastern dishes leave a lasting impression.
Food was delicious, with gorgeous fresh salads and well cooked mains. I’m not a spicy food eater and went for chicken toauk wrap. Beautiful and tasty without being too spicy. Sat outside, atmosphere was good with people milling and a fantastic guitarists playing in the street.

This restaurant is aesthetically appealing. The decor grabs your attention from the moment you walk in embraces you with a feeling of culture and family. It is wholesome. While the food was delicious, it was underwhelming, and the portion was smaller than I had expected for the price. The restaurant also has the added benefits of being in a great location. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend.
Marsha T — Google review
Very nice interior and it's located with the outdoor sittings which is a huge plus in summer. Food was less th than OK and only the feta and pepper paste was above average. The chicken was very driy and seems overcooked or kept for too long, the pastry was very hard and dry and portions wrlere tiny ( we had 3 starters and 2 main courses and we could eat more. Limited options with drinks. You are also getting 12% service charge which was very standard and frankly not deserved. Not recommended at all, as I am sure you can find better restaurants around.
KATARZYNA P — Google review
I recently visited Comptoir Libanais with my family, and while there were some positives, overall the experience was a bit disappointing. When we first arrived, we stood outside the entrance expecting to be welcomed in, but at least three different waiters walked straight past us without even acknowledging we were there. Eventually, we decided to walk inside ourselves, where we were greeted and shown to a table. The restaurant itself has a cozy, inviting ambience and is nicely decorated, with lots of little details to look at. We ordered the chicken shawarma and lamb kofta rice meals, along with hummus and fries for the kids (who had already eaten earlier). When our mains arrived, both of us were quite surprised at the portion size, especially considering the price of each dish. The taste was reasonable, but the meals felt more like children’s portions than adult ones. For everything we ordered, plus two cans of drink and a 12.5% service charge, the bill came to £60. As someone else has written in their review, you can definitely find better meals and better value for money elsewhere. We raised our concern about the portion sizes with the manager, and while they did allow us to remove the service charge and offered complimentary baklava (which we declined), it didn’t change our overall impression. In short, while the setting is pleasant, the lack of initial welcome and the poor value for money make it unlikely we would return. Please reconsider either charging less or increasing the portion size.

It was a very busy Friday evening but despite that we only had a short wait to be seated with no booking. They kindly spotted my Mum has a walking stick and allowed her to sit while our table was prepared. There's a great menu with lots of choices and a separate children's menu that cleverly folds into a fez. It was provided with crayons too. A main and a drink was £7.25 for kids, very reasonable for central London. My daughter rated the chicken 20,000 out of 20 and cleared her plate (except the pomegranate seeds lol). Adults indulged in strawberry & coconut cooler which was taken to the next level with a splash of rose and was very refreshing. Staff catered for my allergy and even asked about cross contamination. Meals came quickly despite the fact it was so busy. I really enjoyed the mezze platter. It was a fantastic example of what mezze should be. I don't usually like the turnip (pink) pickles but these were delicious. Tabbouleh was fresh and tangy, baba ghanuj was delightfully smoky. I look forward to returning.

The customer service was great, very friendly and polite waitresses. The food didn’t taste bad but the lamb tagine was absolutely tiny for £18. It was a starter size portion I would expect to pay £6 for at the most and we were still hungry. In the photo you can see how tiny it was - spoon for scale!

Found this gem while staying in the area. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who recommended the set meal for 2, which we decided to go for as it gave us several dishes to try. The gent also helped us pick a wine, which was deliciously fruity! Highly recommend the set meal.... there is so much food! We started with a selection of small plates; humous, pitta, chicken wings, falafel, salad, potatoes, and a cheese filled pastry. For main, we were served lamb and chicken skewers with rice. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we took some baklava home with us for the 3rd and final course as neither of us could eat another bite. Brilliant value for money, delicious food, generous portions, beautiful wine, and a great service from start to finish. Thank you for a great evening 😊

We’ve been in London for three days, and this has been by far the best service we’ve experienced. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our wishes — even letting us know we could move from inside to outside once the evening turned into a beautiful, warm night. The food was excellent, with generous portions. We couldn’t finish everything, but only because we were happily and completely full — not because it wasn’t delicious. Highly recommended!

Really great food, a unique discovery. Amazing service as well! Couldn’t recommend more! The only thing I didn’t like is that they add 12.5% service fee which I didn’t expect to have to pay and it made my bill much larger than anticipated. I believe this should be an opt in, the service was so good that I felt bad to ask them to remove it.

The food was delicious, but it wasn’t served on time. The waiter was very friendly, and when he found out we were from Iran, he said he knew a little Persian, which was really cute. The atmosphere was nice overall, but the tables were placed too close together, one of my guests even got stuck.

Alright hear me now, I went to Yalla Yalla just of Oxford street for my friends birthday meal it’s a Lebanese restaurant with lovely service a quite a wide range of food on the menu. Our server Houssam was very friendly and quite helpful. I got a large mixed grill and a strawberry lemonade. The large Mixed grill It came with a small portion of rice with an equal amount of salad, it also lamb kofta and chicken taouk and chicken wings. The salad was fresh but nothing really to rave about the chicken taouk was okay a bit seasoned but also a bit chewy not my favourite. The wings were more seasoned and because it was “large” I got two more than I would have but the wings them selves were quite small so they were short lived. The lamb kofta was probably my favourite thing on the plate in terms of meat it was seasoned well, well cooked and it worked best with the rice salad and other sauces. It also came with their own garlic and chilli sauce. My main problem with this was the portion size as I paid an extra £5 for a large mixed grill and it looked like it was a normal serving so that was pretty disappointing and not worth the money at all. The strawberry lemonade though with sweet and sharp and just brilliant, it was so nice I got it twice. 10/10 Overall I’ll give it a 6.7/10 because I feel like I was scammed by the large mixed grill. I could come here again but I would get something else.

We took two chicken based dishes (signature rice shawarma and taouk). They were tasty, but In both of them there was not too much chicken. The hummous we asked as starter was served with the mains, and it was also small. At least the beer was a pint ;) Very nice atmosphere.

Maroush Earls Court Road is a Lebanese cafe that offers a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes such as flatbreads, sourdough loaves, pastries, meze, and grilled meats. The restaurant is known for its classic Lebanese offerings and friendly service. While it may be pricier than other spots in the area, the quality of the food makes it worth the cost. The staff are attentive and accommodating, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
My first experience of Lebanese food and hospitality and it was fantastic. Knowing I’d not had this cuisine before my lovely host Mohammed recommended a mixed lunch platter, even though it was evening, so that I could get a feel for the different flavours and textures. It was a great shout. Unfortunately this might be the first meal I’ve eaten and not wiped the plate clean. But it was only because I was too full. Would highly recommend and when my travels bring me to Earl’s Court again I’ll certainly be back. Quite possibly for breakfast in the morning…

BEWARE! My partner and I were looking for somewhere to eat in Kensington the day after celebrating our anniversary and the reviews for this restaurant were particularly good so we said lets eat there. When i arrived i was met with coldness, the atmosphere was like someone had died. I tried not to read to much into it but both the male workers had a really bad attitude and energy about them. I had never tried Lebanese food and i was looking forward to it but the whole experience was nothing like how the other reviews had described. The food was decent but the service was awful. Half way through eating a female waiter turned up for her shift, when i asked for some more water she agreed but then she didn’t bring it? So i asked her again and she acted like this was a chore for her. It seemed like she wanted to hide and not serve anyone. Regardless service charge was automatically added to the bill and hesitantly my partner paid it anyway. There were only two other people eating there at the time so it was not busy at all. Then when i was leaving I said thank you to her because i am polite and she completely ignored me. I was also met with some weird stares from the other two males as i left the restaurant. In conclusion it was a very uncomfortable experience and i will never understand people working in hospitality that are not hospitable or polite!

Hiba is a modern restaurant with two branches in central London, offering Lebanese and Palestinian cuisine. The open kitchen allows diners to see their food being prepared. Hiba Express focuses more on the northern part of Palestine, which shares culinary aspects with Lebanon. Despite its narrow layout, the restaurant provides a comfortable dining experience with dishes served simply but elegantly.
I have walked past here many times and finally went in today. Glad I did! Food was really good. I had the platter for one person and a bottle of still water. The platter comes with Lebanese bread. Lovely presentation. A very nice meal. I really enjoyed it. Perfect for a hot June evening. Nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly. Would recommend for sure.

If you’ve never had Palestinian food before, Hiba Express is definitely the place for your first experience. The restaurant is a beautiful ode to Palestinian culture, with lots of references to its history around. The staff were lovely and the food was brilliant - be wary of the platter for one though, it’s a LOT of food and I ended up taking it away!

I recently visited Heba Express, a Palestinian restaurant, and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, and the background music added a really nice touch. The food was delicious — I truly enjoyed everything. Right next to the restaurant, there’s a Palestinian house, which was also wonderful to see and definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely go back again. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

I recently had the pleasure of taking my wife to dinner at this wonderful Palestinian restaurant. Needless to say, the setting is truly evocative, with an enveloping atmosphere that immediately immerses you in the culture, the Palestinian cause and the resistance that those people live. The food was delicious and tasty, intense and traditional flavors, without a doubt the best falafel I have tasted in my life! We really appreciated the choice of alternative products to the mainstream ones, and I especially loved the table where they casually made me sit, which visually represented the resistance of the Palestinian people. It was a wonderful experience that we hope to relive as soon as possible. We truly recommend!

Hiba Express offers delicious Middle Eastern dishes. I tried their lamb shawarma (soft and quite juicy) and Palestinian rice (spice-y). Their dishes are also complemented with pickled onion and green pepper, which I found very refreshing after eating the fatty lamb. The atmosphere is spectacular, definitely a little Middle East in the heart of London.

Restaurant
Oklava is a trendy eatery in Shoreditch, offering upmarket Turkish cuisine and a carefully curated wine list. Founded by chef Selin Kiazim, the restaurant showcases her Turkish-Cypriot heritage and draws inspiration from the flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean. The menu features modern twists on classic dishes like lahmacun, hellim with London honey, and chilli roast cauliflower.
Had the chance to take a few trips to Last neon this year and Oklava was by far my favorite meal. I’ve had inspired Turkish meals in the past but nothing yet that compares to this. At a meal with two colleagues with different palates we found it delicious and at the top of our list for a return visit next time we’re in the area. We had the luck of sampling a dozen dishes and wouldn’t know how to single out a favorite. Every dish had fresh and inspired flavors. The grilled cheese delicious. The spreads subtle and savory. Fresh vegetables full of flavor complimented every dish. Freshly cooked flat breads with meat and vegetables that you hand wrap and split with the table. Even the fries excelled with robust flavor and texture. Cant wait for the next visit

We did the 4 course meal and the food was fantastic! My absolute favorite was the black sea cheese pide; it is so rich yet crispy on the outside and full of flavors. The aubergine is not very good in my opinion; this dish was re-interpreted as a salad like dish and it just lacks all the smoke and flavors from a traditional aubergine. Had the description been different, it may have been less disappointing. Overall the staff were great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was quite good. Highly recommended!
Thang P — Google review
Fantastic! This was Turkish food with a twist. We ordered the pre fixe menu (7 plates shared across 2 of us) + dessert. Dishes ranged from great to outstanding (especially the chicken). The only disappointment was the bean salad which came out a little too bitter. Courses change fairly regularly. But I trust the flavors will be unique and bold in every iteration. Service was attentive. I will definitely be back.

Really good experience. It was similar to a tasting menu. So many little plates prepared and beautifully presented with truly fresh products. Our server, Flo, and the only one to be honest, was great. His explanations and recommendations were really helpful. Please, check the pictures to see how beautiful, (you cannot check how fresh and tasty just with the pics) but how many different colours and textures the menu has got. He had 2 hours to stay in our table and we are not slow eaters. At the end we choose 2 cocktails after the deserts instead of going with boring teas and coffee. Luckily nobody booked our table after us and we could stay 20 more minutes although we were kindly offered to move somewhere else to Keep enjoying with our cocktails if the table was needed. £200 bill can be seen as a bit expensive and excessive but we had a fantastic time. The disappointing bits were; - The price of the desserts (and the time it took for them to arrive). £14 and 12.50 per dessert (the only 2 dessert options) were clearly abusive. (My wife is Turkish and we have been in many, many Turkish restaurants in London with similar deserts) -The price if the cocktails. -The amount of meat in the menu. Kebab wasn’t something special. For such an special Turkish place I was expecting more and better meat. -The chilli salt chips, to me, didn’t look fresh. More like the frozen ones. Shame because home made skin-on chips would have fit perfectly. But don’t get me wrong, a nice place for an special occasion (unless you can afford more than £200 to eat out regularly). However, in my honest and respectful opinion, the cost of this dinner shouldn’t have gone over £120 (£130 if you want to add the current inflation). Also keep posted for the next reviews as you will see similar tasting menus probably more interesting with similar value or less. However, please, go and try by yourselves and you will definitely have a great eating out experience. Bon appetite!

AMAZING experience here. I’d heard a lot about it but never actually been, and now I regret not going earlier. Everything we ate was extremely delicious. My favourite dish was the beef ribs, but the kunafe was also unmatched. Great mix of flavours that gelled really well together. Also, the staff were all great and very helpful with advice on what to get. Would highly recommend!

loved the flavours and imaginative combinations, though portions are a bit too much on the small side (at 12£ a plate, I didn't expect tapas size). despite the few tables, the place gets unbearably loud and noisy, to the point the waiters don't here you when you call, and i even saw several customers walking up to them to get their attention. service was indeed the worst part - non existent. we waited a full hour to receive our first dish, and nobody came to offer an apology or explanation. after our orders finally arrived.and we ate them, we would have happily ordered desserts as we were still hungry, but didn't dare going through another 2h wait. we asked for the bill, and only then our waitress asked if we wanted a complementary coffee to compensate us for the long wait. sorry dear, too little too late. it's a pity, but won't come back and won't recommend. competition is too fierce in this part of London to fail so miserably
Licia C — Google review
All in all: very tasty, beautiful presentations and combination of flavors, but a bit pricey. We had lunch on a Saturday and arrived at 1pm, where the restaurant was not very busy. The dishes are meant to be shared, so we ordered 3 starters (loved the bahart spiced bread with date butter and the hellim) and 3 mains (in pictures: glazed carrots, chili roast cauliflower, bulgur wheat stuffed lamb kofte). Portion size is a bit on the small side, but the flavors combined in the dishes made the quality ingredients really stand out. Service was excellent and we liked the recommendations!

A great modern London restaurant serving up Mediterranean cuisine with bottomless weekend brunch. The ambiance is airy and bright, perfect for enjoying the flavours of the region. Options include Greek feta cheese, shakshuka, grilled Jerusalem pita bread, Turkish coffee, and Kandula tea. There's also a fry-up on offer here but it's likely to be Spanish sausages and halloumi cheese - making this an interesting choice if you're after a traditional English breakfast.
Absolute delight! We had lunch here and everything was delicious. You can taste the difference when healthy food is prepared from fresh ingredients. Ambience is pleasant and relaxing, everything is clean and tidy. Staff friendly and relaxed. I loved the interior design, especially all the turshija jars and pepper wreaths above the bar! We were so happy to have discovered this place because we plan on coming back. Worth the time and money, although it's not too expensive!

I’ve been to amber many many times over the past few years and have tried their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. It’s safe to say that they always deliver on quality and atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and I remember once or twice that we didn’t make a booking and they were fully booked however the staff managed to squeeze us in last minute. You have to try their prawn dish, hummus, aubergine, cauliflower and crudo. My fave dessert is their mango dessert. A year or two ago they used to do this fried chicken dish however they then changed it to grilled chicken which was not the same. Still reminiscing over the fried chicken and would be amazing if they bring it back! I’ve brought my friends and families to this place and they all love it, even the ones who aren’t too adventurous with food! Highly recommend! Remember to book :)

Staff were very friendly and attentive, always filling up our water etc. The bread basket and hummus we shared as a starter were great, super fresh and warm. The mains were tasty, but a little small and my partner asked for her steak to be a little well done but it still came out rare from the kitchen. Smoked potatoes were delicious and the pumpkin ice cream was certainly interesting. Cocktails were good and atmosphere was nice. A little on the expensive side but London restaurant prices.

It’s just a great location to be. Great food - great quality. Vegetarians should find a good selection. Very friendly and attentive staff. Prices are reasonable. Food was excellent. I highly recommend the dips and hummus gnocchi. The dishes are creative and I'll come back to try the tasting menu. A bit on the expensive end but worth it for an occasion.
Hanan S — Google review
I arrived a little too late for the breakfast menu I was eager to try, but the kind waiter suggested some vegetarian options for lunch, including their best-seller: roasted cauliflower. Unfortunately, the dish was a real disappointment. The cauliflower was heavily overcooked, with many burnt ends that left an unpleasant charred taste. The aubergine and broccoli were passable, but the use of overpowering spices masked the actual flavour of the vegetables, leaving the dish unbalanced and, frankly, mediocre. For the price, I expected a much better quality. You can find far greater Middle Eastern food in the local markets for half the cost - and without the upset stomach I had for the rest of the day. The atmosphere and service were good.

Popolo Shoreditch is an Italian restaurant in London that offers a unique fusion of Italian, Middle Eastern, and Moorish cuisine. The menu features small sharing plates with a modern twist, such as hand-rolled fresh pasta and grilled octopus with baba ganoush. The restaurant provides a vibrant atmosphere and excellent service, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a variety of flavorful dishes. Whether you're sitting at the counter or upstairs, the experience is sure to be memorable.
We were lucky to score two seats at the bar around 9pm on a Thursday evening and what a treat it turned out to be! We ordered the focaccia, burrata with chickpeas and olives, the crab pasta and the beef with salsa verde. Everything was beautifully prepared, but the standout by far was the crab pasta, unbelievably good and packed with flavour. It’s the kind of dish you want to go back for!! What also stood out was the open kitchen. It’s a compact space, and with the bar seating wrapped around it, you get a full view of the action. Despite the pressure and pace, the chefs remained impressively calm and focused, quietly producing plate after plate of delicious food. It’s no small feat to work in such a visible and intense environment, hats off to them. One lovely personal touch: I didn’t manage to get a photo of the fish (which was excellent), but when the chef noticed I was struggling a little with the bones, he kindly came over and helped us debone it. Such thoughtful service. Highly recommend Popolo—great food, a cosy vibe, and seriously talented chefs who make it all look effortless.

This little restaurant was close to our accomplishments and we have been wanting to try it based on the great reviews on Google. We were seated without reservations at the counter, where we could see the chefs at work. The crispy olives were innovative and delicious. The risotto with delicata squash was divine!! The octopus was not our favorite, and the agnolotti with pork cheek was good. While overall the food was good we did not find the price to portion ratio to be that good.
Anahita K — Google review
The food is nice. Favourite is actually the bread and pork cheek pasta. However, I find it hard to justify the price, especially the smaller portion you are getting. I mean the asparagus is fresh and juicy but 17 pound is a bit too steep. And the 6 piece of pasta for 28 pound. Ummmmm..
Hongyi ( — Google review
Great menu and a little overpriced, Italian tapas style. Loved the freshness and quality of the ingredients, really top notch. Only natural wines, which was a deciding factor for me. Overpriced for the size of the dishes and the size of the restaurant, and they will put the bill on the table as soon you put your fork down.
Pietro B — Google review
We went to Popolo because it was recommended in the local Michelin guide. The food and service was good, but we would not come back a second time, as we expected a bit more in this price range. Especially the size of the portions was a bit disappointing (£20 for 9 Gnocchi and £7.5 for 3 slices of Focaccia).
Timo K — Google review
Our first time here. Amazing. Carr and attention taken to every dish. Very warm and welcoming. Dishes were superb.
Janeez26 — Google review
I'll start by saying that the owner and staff are very welcoming, making a genuine effort to accommodate the different preferences of their guests. We were a group of three and sat at the bar, where John, the owner, ensured we had everything we needed. He was incredibly kind and informative. Now, about the food. The restaurant claims to be Italian with a Basque twist, but the execution falls short of both Italian and Basque cuisine. The menu seems disjointed, featuring dishes like Spanish octopus, crispy olives with labaneh (which is Druze from Lebanon) and lobster pasta that uses egg noodles, giving it more of a Cantonese feel. Honestly, we didn't understand any of the dishes, and none made us say, "OMG, this is so good." In fact, no dish even made us say, "This is worth our while." The dishes were mostly bland and didn't excite our palates, lacking the bold flavors typical of the claimed cuisines, such as salt, pepper, and spice. We tried most of the menu, except for the desserts, and unfortunately, we all left disappointed, despite John's efforts to accommodate us.

Fairuz is a cafe that has been serving Lebanese cuisine since the late eighties, earning a strong reputation among locals for its delicious food and warm service. The menu features herb-specked salads, rice dishes, grilled meats, and an array of desserts. The atmosphere is described as small and cozy, making it a nice spot for couples. Customers praise the generous portions and prompt, friendly service at Fairuz.
I saw this recommended on Infatuation and decided to take a punt on this “little gem”. I came here for a bday treat and I was not disappointed. We were sat in an alcove (the only one) and from the moment we entered it felt special, cosy and really welcoming. We tried the dishes and it was all delicious. The lamb was really tender and aubergine soft and yielding as it should be. We would have liked more aubergine in the aubergine fatteh. The hummus and the tabbouleh were fresh, delicious and the best I’ve tasted. Lovely accompaniment with the fresh pitta. We asked for the bread to be hotter and they provided new breads without charge and took off the original charge. Exceptional service. I really enjoyed the milk pudding (made with milk and double cream - yum!) and drizzled with sweet rose water syrup and pistachio crumble. Lovely Lebanese version of a panacotta. Just the ideal wobbly, soft consistency and the perfect sweetness after rich and generous mains and starters. We also received complimentary baklava pieces as it was my birthday which went well with the fresh mint tea. Would rate food 4.5 overall. Would come again and am delighted to have found this eaterie in central London (close to Bond St and Baker St). Service was polite, friendly and relaxed. We stayed at our table over 3 courses and could barely drag ourselves away! Ps Fadi served our tea and was a welcoming host

We eat at Fairuz quite often, and the Lebanese food is always excellent—fresh, authentic, and consistently high quality. Today, however, the service fell short. After ordering, it took nearly an hour (and several reminders) before our food arrived. Eventually, they apologized and explained there was a system issue. When the food did come, it was—as always—delicious. A gentleman who seemed to be either the manager or the owner came by to apologize and kindly offered us some complimentary tea. The gesture was appreciated, but when the bill arrived, the tea was still charged. We asked for it to be removed, and even after a second attempt, it was still on the bill. That was surprising, especially given the circumstances. Overall, the food at Fairuz remains top-notch, but I hope the service and follow-through improve to match the excellent dining experience the kitchen delivers.

A lovely find in Marylebone. As the description says it’s a no frills restaurant, having said that, the deco is quaint and gives a homely feel. The staff are kind and welcoming. The hummus is one of the best I’ve had (my experience with hummus is only Arab restaurants in Malaysia and Türkiye). The Jiwaneh(hope I spelled that right) - the chicken wings was really yummy. I’m not a fan of chicken wings but this was succulent and the marinade was tasty. The main dish i forget the name but it’s like lamb shoulder cubes - was juicy and soft, the rice we ordered separately as fluffy and complemented the meat well. The garlic sauce was good. Portions pictured were suitable for sharing for 3 medium appetite people. I would certainly come here again.

Had a lovely dinner on a Saturday night here. We sat at the bar and got a variety of small plates. The humous was delicious with crispy shallots on top. The pumpkin was also really tasty. We ordered two bread baskets. The first was delicious, warm and soft. Sadly the second portion was cold and hard so we didn’t finish this. The pardon peppers were alright, not a standout. The red chicory salad was so fresh and the walnuts and blue cheese added crunch and flavour.

My partner and I went here on a Saturday night. We booked with ease through open table and secured a reservation for 7pm. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our table. Restaurant was quite cramped as people kept brushing off my partner. Food was good- however pricey. Portion sizes could be more generous however very tasty. We had the bread basket, houmous, labneh, beef, octopus and chocolate mouse. My partner had a half pint (the only option available) and I stuck to tap water. The total came to approx £90, which again was on the pricier side. Dessert was disappointing, we shared a chocolate olive oil mousse which lacked flavour. Service was good and staff were attentive. Overall it was still a pleasant experience with a good atmosphere!!

Amazing experience. Shakira welcomed me in a fantastic way, and the group of close-knit people organized a wonderful dinner. Spanish and North African flavors, new ways to taste food and learn about different cultures. I must say I’m really satisfied—I highly recommend this experience!

First of all, my friend got splashed with oil (on her jacket and hair) when the waiter passed a dish over her - even though there was plenty of space between us to avoid that. The waiter noticed it and just said, “Oh, I spilled some oil on you,” - with no apology and no offer from the restaurant to cover dry-cleaning costs. Secondly, the tapas portion was impressively small - the smallest I’ve ever seen. The taste was okay, nothing special. The interior is really nice, but it’s not enough to make up for the other downsides. Never coming back again.

Beyond our expectations and delicious. Love the bread!!! It was very delicious. Highly recommend the fried aubergines with goat cheese. The check peas one was good too. We were 4 people shared and no drinks, £19/pp. quite a fair price. Would like to try its brunch menu next time!

Persian restaurant
Halal restaurant
Patogh is a cozy Iranian restaurant located on a quiet street just off Edgware Road. The unassuming eatery offers a homely atmosphere with an open kitchen where chefs skillfully prepare succulent kebabs and freshly baked bread. The menu features unfussy halal Eastern dishes, including grilled meats and fish, served alongside buttery saffron rice and crispy salad. Despite its small size, the restaurant's charm lies in its unchanged ambiance over the years.
This restaurant was absolutely fabulous. Small and not pricey. Freshly prepared food which was delicious and generous in portions. Complementary bread and dip. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to go and eat there . Worth the trip. Helena

Great customer service and same rusty atmosphere but sadly the food is vile cheaply made undercooked kababs, watery rice 🍚 and old salad 🥗 plus the tea was particularly bad. Please stay away from this place it’s not each cheap it’s £15 for a nasty Kabab you’re better off finding another Persian. As, I got a feeling no real Persians work there anymore or if they do they have become so greedy that they selling nasty food as fake good value you have been warned. The picture looks great but food so pure vile and nasty..this is a community announcement 📢 there are much better Persian restaurants nearby!

Authentic Persian/Iranian food. Great taste. Freshly made food. Tried their lamb kebabs. Restaurant is very small. Extra seating upstairs. Been going to this restaurant for many years. The interior needs some attention to improve the ambiance of the place.

I liked the rustic interior and the place has a charm to it. Service was very friendly. The food was kind of mediocre. Big portion but the kebab tasted I dunno, a bit undercooked and not the tastiest. I regret not having the bread instead of rice but the salad was fresh enough. Cost £15 which was fine.

We were in the area and given it's Edgware Road, we needed to get our kebab fix. Between the two of us, we shared two main dishes - the mixed koobideh and mixed chicken with half salad and half rice and a side of hummus. They were generous in portion size and tasty.
Christine K — Google review
As lovers of Persian food, we had high hopes - but unfortunately, this place was a real letdown. The food was incredibly bland, lacking any of the rich seasoning or flavour you’d expect. The rice, usually buttery and aromatic, was plain, and the kebabs were dry and overcooked, not juicy or tender. We ordered the traditional mint yoghurt drink, but it was so sour we genuinely wondered if it had gone off - or worse, if we’d been given someone else’s leftovers. We paid £50 for two people: two minced meat kebabs with rice, bread, and hummus. Somehow, the server brought us the most expensive options without clarifying, when we’d asked for plain naan and two glasses of the yoghurt drink (£2 each), instead, we were given a £6 jug. These price differences matter, especially when the food doesn’t deliver. Overall, not worth the money or the experience. We won’t be returning.
Zehra N — Google review
I visited this Iranian restaurant last week with one of my European friends — it was her very first time trying Persian food, and she completely fell in love with it! We ordered kabab koobideh, and the flavour was just perfect — tender, juicy, and beautifully seasoned. She couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was and how it reminded her of home-cooked comfort food, even though it was her first Iranian meal ever! Although the restaurant wasn’t busy at all, it surprisingly took around 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Still, once it did, the taste made it absolutely worth the wait. The cosy atmosphere, traditional Persian tableware, and nostalgic interior design made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back again — it’s a lovely place to introduce friends to real Iranian cuisine! 🇮🇷🍢✨

A small cozy Persian family restaurant that serves by far the best lamb kebab I have ever had. Try the minced lamb kebab for 15 💷with rice or salad but I’d go with that buttery flavoured rice. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting London to not miss it out. Don’t forget the tea . They accept Cash only OR money wire.

Breakfast restaurant
Family restaurant
Live music venue
Beit el Zaytoun is a spacious restaurant located in Park Royal, offering both indoor and outdoor seating with charming countryside interiors. It overlooks a canal and is known for its shisha, live music, and delicious Lebanese dishes. The restaurant serves Lebanese breakfast until 2:45 pm daily, featuring items like foul moudames and labneh along with their delectable manaeesh.
What an absolutely magical evening! We hosted our engagement party at Beit el Zaytoun and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the beautiful interiors and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was nothing short of spectacular - every single Lebanese dish was authentic, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. Our guests are still raving about the incredible spread and how everything tasted like it came straight from Lebanon. The quality and presentation were outstanding. But what truly made our night unforgettable was Nadine, our event manager. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Nadine went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for making our celebration special was evident in everything she did. She anticipated our needs, handled everything seamlessly, and made us feel like we were her only priority that evening. The indoor/outdoor seating created the perfect ambiance for our celebration, and the service throughout the evening was impeccable. Every member of the staff was attentive and friendly. We cannot thank the entire team at Beit el Zaytoun enough for making our engagement party such a memorable and beautiful experience. This restaurant is truly a gem, and we'll definitely be back for future celebrations! Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine and exceptional service for their special events.🤍

I visited Beit el Zaytoun on a Thursday afternoon and left feeling completely let down. I’ve been to this place twice before a few years ago and had decent experiences, but sadly, their standards have seriously gone downhill. My husband ordered the lamb meshwi with rice, his meal arrived cold, and the salad and vegetables looked old and unappetising. The rice was ice cold, and the only thing he could eat was the meat. I ordered the falafel wrap, which tasted stale and far from fresh. The hummus tasted like it came straight from a supermarket tub, and the coleslaw didn’t taste homemade at all. The only decent part of our meals was the fries. To make matters worse, the customer service was shockingly bad the staff seemed bothered every time we asked for something. When we told them we were dissatisfied at the end, there was zero effort to apologise or make things right. I won’t be returning, and I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Lebanese food. If you’re just after shisha and a nice-looking setting, maybe it’s passable but for actual food and service, it’s a big no from me. On top of that they are also extremely dishonest. I calculated what we ordered and they added an extra £5.00 to our bill without our consent. They just brought the card machine and offered no receipt. We ordered the: Kibbeh £8.50 Falafel wrap meal £15.95 Lahem Meshwi £20.00 Still water bottle £2.50 1 soft drink £3.00 The total should've amounted to £49.95. I check my bank statement and I was charged £54.95 so they had the audacity to add an extra £5 to the bill for what reason. This is a dishonest establishment will definitely never visit this place again.

Me and my bestie visited for brunch and it was a lovely experience! The brunch platter was more than enough for us and the mint tea was really good - even after eating loads we didn’t feel bloated (healthy food + mint tea combo). Really nice vibe especially for summer, we sat on the seats facing outside.
Saher J — Google review
The breakfast was really nice with generous portions. My favorite was definitely the halloumi, which stood out the most. The seating area is also very pleasant, making it a great place to enjoy a meal.

This has to be one of the best Lebanese restaurants in London. I went with my wife, we had Sambusek lahma (fried pastry with spiced meat inside) and Soujouk (spiced sausages submerged in a nice tomato and lemon sauce) for starters and then shared one of the dishes listed under the home kitchen section on the menu: Kibbeh bil Laban, amazing plate with rice, yogurt, pine nuts and the “Kibbeh” (minced beef, deep fried inside bulgur wheat oval shaped pieces). Delicious, this is made the proper way (I have tried Kibbeh elsewhere, and this is the way). The fresh juices deserve a special mention too, I had Melon and my wife Pineapple and they were delicious. I specially found the Melon one to be exceptionally good. I will definitely come back and will recommend this to all my friends.
Alejandro F — Google review
I’ve been here a few times, and it always delivers a warm and authentic Lebanese experience. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely terrace offering a nice view. The décor, music, and overall vibes really capture Lebanon…it feels like home away from home. Service is excellent; the staff are friendly, quick, engaging, and professional. On my last visit, I tried the chicken shawarma Tabliye and the grilled chicken Tabliye, along with tabbouleh, cheese rolls, fresh juices, and ended with sticky toffee cake and ice cream. I also had shisha. The grilled chicken Tabliye was outstanding! It was perfectly balanced with that delicious charcoal-grilled aftertaste. The shawarma was okay but a little dry, and unfortunately the tabbouleh was disappointing: too dry, lacking lemon and oil, and served in a small portion. The cheese rolls were tasty, the sticky toffee cake was better than expected, and the shisha was decent, though not the best out there. Overall, it’s a great spot to pass by for authentic Lebanese food, good vibes, and even live entertainment on some nights. Prices are on the higher side, but the experience and atmosphere make it worth considering.

The first contact over the phone was not a good experience — the person I spoke with seemed in a rush to hang up and not interested in giving time to explain things properly. Upon arrival, the lady Assia who seated us gave off the same impression; her body language felt rude, and she wasn’t interested in answering the few questions we had. It’s worth noting that I am not the only one who noticed this. Many other reviews mention the same issue with the waiting staff — poor service, lack of care, and unfriendly attitudes. Yet it seems management has chosen to ignore these repeated complaints, which gives the impression that they simply don’t care to address the problem. On the other hand, the service and food provided by Mohammed were excellent. He was attentive, always checking if everything was okay and making sure we had everything we needed. The food itself was very tasty, the setting was nice, with a great respectful crowd and wonderful music. Overall, the experience was mixed: disappointing first impressions and clear neglect by management regarding staff behavior, but excellent food and service thanks to Mohammed.

I had the Lebanese breakfast here and it was excellent. The set itself was generous, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything tasted authentic and well prepared. The atmosphere is one of my favorites — relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for starting the day. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. This place is definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

BabaBoom, which opened its doors in 2016 in Battersea, has redefined the kebab experience by elevating it from late-night indulgence to a gourmet delight. This vibrant eatery takes pride in its artisanal approach, featuring a bespoke charcoal grill that enhances the flavors of their chicken shish and marinated mutton shawarma.
Never been here before but honestly one of the best I've had in a long time. The lunch deal was a bargain. Delicious 😋

Kabab was pretty good tasting but not hot. The filling was room temperature and the bread was cool so it was not really enjoyable. I should have asked to have it put in the microwave for a half minute. Staff was nice. Hot sauce was too much for my sensitive system but spice fans will enjoy.

Friends and I did the Bababoom Kebab Chase run and the kebab at the end really hit the spot. Staff were very friendly and service was fast. The chicken shish kebab was packed with toppings and really fresh and flavoursome. Didn't receive cutlery or napkins however for our takeaway but apart from that, was still worth the 16km jog! Thank you!

Imad’s Syrian Kitchen is a charming restaurant located on the top floor of Soho's Kingly Court in London. Imad, the owner, was a successful restaurateur in Damascus until his businesses were destroyed by war, leading him to flee to London. The restaurant has a cozy family-run taverna atmosphere with white walls adorned with bright blue windows and tiles, along with heartwarming photographs from Imad's past.
Imad’s Syrian Kitchen absolutely delivered—both the chicken and lamb were outstanding: tender, juicy, and bursting with warm Syrian spices that linger in the best way. The seasoning balance was spot on, and the meats were cooked perfectly, making every bite feel special without being heavy. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere had that lively, cozy buzz that makes it perfect for a relaxed dinner in London. Highly recommend for anyone after beautifully cooked Middle Eastern flavours—especially the chicken and lamb. Our hostess was also very friendly

First time been there, and definitely it is going to be my regular restaurant to visit during my trips to London. Apart from the food that is amazing, what captured my attention is the various nationalities you see there. People from every country visiting and enjoying a good meal. The food was really nice and delicious. The flavours melt in your mouth. Presentation captures your eye. Authentic taste of Middle Eastern taste, in all means. It takes you back home. You feel welcomed the moment you step in, and you receive the best service ever. Staff so friendly and helpful.

Amazing, tasty food that’s always enjoyable, especially when visiting in groups. It never disappoints, and I always look forward to coming back. I have visit countless times now. However, I do have a criticism: I’ve regularly noticed a fly or two, which I suspect may be due to cleaning issues. Despite this, the quality of the food and overall experience makes it worth a visit.

Absolutely loved the food at Imads!! The fatuous was so refreshing, rhe beef shaqaf was delicious and had a LOVELY red pepper aubergine and onion base to it that I could have eaten double of. I think the dish is smaller than the others in many at same price range so management needs to think about value for money. Either add another skewer or something for the side The lamb shoulder shredded was also really delicious and the nuts added a nice decision to the flavour and texture Id like to thank Mohammad our wonderful waiter. He was so polite, attentive and made our evening wonderful. He even went above and beyond at accommodating my request to pray. Thank you Will be back.. especially for that pomegranate lemonade!!!

We celebrated a joint 40th and 7th birthday here and had such a wonderful experience! We chose the set menu which included delicious starters — baba ganoush, fatoush, hummus, cauliflower and falafel — all beautifully fresh and full of flavour. The mains were just as impressive, with slow-cooked lamb, chicken, and aubergine with lentils that were simply outstanding. Be careful not to over-order like we did (the portions are generous!), but thankfully they provided takeaway boxes so nothing went to waste. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating — they even made a birthday card for us and sang happy birthday, which was such a lovely touch. A brilliant experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, tasty Syrian food and warm, welcoming service!

Turkish restaurant
Mangal 2 Restaurant is a modern Turkish dining spot that has undergone a transformation, now offering a refined Anatolian menu and natural wines. The restaurant, run by brothers Ferhat and Sertac Dirik, presents an innovative take on Turkish cuisine with small plates replacing the traditional giant platters. The ambiance may be described as somewhat minimalist, but the food speaks volumes with its exciting and interesting flavors.
The atmosphere was fantastic, enhanced by a great playlist and a lovely relaxed energy throughout the evening. The staff were all genuinely lovely and attentive. As for the food, easily some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Every dish was bursting with flavour, and somehow each course managed to top the last. To those saying it’s overpriced, I disagree. You’re paying for quality, attention to detail, and the overall experience. In today’s economy, it’s important to remember the costs and effort that go into running a restaurant of this standard. At Mangal II, you can tell everything is intentional, from the food to the atmosphere, and if you leave with a happy belly and a memorable evening, that’s worth every penny. Too often people have become entitled and complacent, but this place deserves recognition. I highly recommend visiting and supporting this longstanding business, it truly delivers on all fronts.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mangal 2 is an absolute treat. The food was next-level — perfectly grilled, packed with flavour, and you can tell they use really fresh ingredients. Every bite had that proper smoky, comforting kick you only get at the best Turkish spots. Service was brilliant too — super friendly and relaxed, which just made the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in London in a long time. Can’t wait to go back!

Early birthday celebration at Mangal 2, and it honestly lived up to the hype. Contemporary Turkish food that still feels soulful and genuine. The Smoked Humus was beautifully presented with warm sourdough pide, though the smoky notes slightly overpowered the rest. The Stone Bass with vine leaf sarma, fermented olives, yoghurt and pul biber, and the Whole Poussin with chilli sauce, pilav and sumac onions were both absolute standouts, perfectly cooked and full of depth. They even surprised me with Almond Baklava and a candle for my birthday, which was the sweetest touch. We also had the Maldon Oyster with plum ezme and purple basil, Cull Yaw Köfte with grilled apple, and Angry Monk Beetroot Salad with yoghurt and walnuts, along with mint and Turkish tea to finish. Beautiful food, warm hospitality, and such a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after thoughtful, modern Turkish cooking in Dalston.

Wouldn’t recommend this place, I asked the waitress I like meat and recomend me something I’ll enjoy, she said ribs are good, a lot of meat. They were all fat and bone with hardly any meat. The hummus was great. But that was it. Left the place hungry and spent £230 for two people. The bread we had with it was tough and burnt at the bottom, hard to rip and harder with a knife and fork. I’ll stick to MANGAL 1
Saif R — Google review
We had a really disappointing experience at Manga last night. I had a burnt bread served to me, that I had to wait ages for. The hummus, although beautifully presented, tasted…interesting. The oyster was gorgeous and served at the perfect temperature. The mains however were awful, the mushroom kofte had the texture of cardboard and was completely flavourless. I ordered the sea bass, which was overcooked, I picked out the mussels in the rice and left out the rest. To make matters worse, a homeless woman came in shouting and asking for money, spluttering over people’s food. The staff clearly knew her by name, so this seems to be a regular occurrence — very off-putting when you’re trying to eat. When our barely touched plates were cleared, we mentioned the food wasn’t good, but the waiter just ignored us and walked away. No apology, no offer to help, and yet there was still an £11.50 service charge added to the bill. Overall, poor food and even worse service — we won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it.

If you're looking for a taste of authentic middle eastern cuisine in London, look no further than Villa Mamas. The welcoming neighbourhood spot on Elystan Street showcases the expertise of chef Roaya Saleh, with a menu featuring delicious homely dishes from across the Gulf, Persia and beyond. Whilst not requiring a passport to get in (like some other popular restaurants in London), Villa Mama's great atmosphere and delicious food is definitely worth checking out!
Incredible Middle Eastern fusion food. We tried the valentines menu and were left impressed. The hummus was perfectly smooth and delicious. The soup was godly and the special meat on potato was unique. The mains were equally impressive with the succulent lamb and flavoursome rice. It’s probably one of the most unique and fascinating Middle Eastern restaurants in London, if not the UK.

I’ve been to Villa Mama twice now, and both times the food has been soo good!!! Portions are pretty generous, the service is good (tho they can be a bit slow, but only because they’re constantly busy). It can be pricey, I mean hot water and mint costs £7.50 but overall the food is pretty good.

Absolutely loved my experience at Villa Mamas! The food was exceptional—creamy hummus, rich and flavourful qurma, a simple yet comforting pulao, and the standout mozat laham which was perfectly tender and full of depth. Even the cocktails were spot on and beautifully balanced. What made the evening even more special was the staff—so attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was also really tasty although I must say I visited a few years ago and the quality of the Chicken Tahchin was must better and juicier, so slightly disappointed this time… Nevertheless, the lamb shank was 10/10, highly recommend and overall lovely dinner.

Bakery
Chestnut Bakery, located in the heart of Belgravia and conveniently close to Victoria Station, is a high-end bakery and cafe that has gained popularity among both locals and tourists. The bakery offers a wide range of international breads, pastries, and sandwiches created by a team of expert bakers.
Stopped by Chestnut Bakery and was pleasantly surprised! I had an Americano and their Chicken Club Sandwich – and both were spot on. The sandwich was especially impressive – packed with flavour, and the melted cheese took it to another level. Fresh ingredients, warm and satisfying – honestly one of the best chicken clubs I’ve had in a while. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced, perfect with the meal. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area – a great spot for a quick bite or relaxed coffee break.

Lovely place, clean, bright and specious, the waiters where lovely and quick to respond, the almond pastry ordered were beautifully presented and I loved the coffee I couldn't eat there as they had nothing gluten free but my daughter said it was tasty. I did appreciate the loveliness of the place . We paid on like with a QR code and the invoice was sent to my email, the total for coffee and pastry came to £10.97 a tad on the expensive side (Lovely or not..)❤️

Wonderful place to kick start the day. My favorite Chestnut Bakery branch in a very beautiful and aesthetic area of the city (posh 😅). Big selection of sweet and savory pastries plus the breakfast dishes, you can’t go wrong here. Service was very good and staff were welcoming and helpful. Don’t miss their crispy cinnamon roll. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Such a lovely spot for brunch or breakfast! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are absolutely adorable, warm, smiling, and attentive. Everything looks and tastes good. Definitely a place worth stopping by in Belgravia!

Love this bakery which we discovered by accident a few years ago. I try to have breakfast here when I’m back in London and this time we got there twice! The pastries are divine as are all the flatbreads and egg dishes. Best of all are the staff. Friendly, helpful and patient - even when the cafe is full! Tip: allow time to enjoy your meal.

Although the food here is quite nice, it's way too expensive. The pistachio and raspberry croissant was tasty but I'm not sure it's worth £6.95 ( October 2025 price). I marked the service down since I did not appreciate the seller shoving it in a paper bag which could have easily be smashed up by the time I was ready to eat it. I was given a box and bag when I requested it but do I really need to ask after paying so much for one croissant? I shan't be returning.

The staff were very attentive, greeting us with smiles and a great attitude. However, the first flat white took quite a while to be served after it was made, and it had started to cool down. The barista who made it placed the cup on the table quite forcefully, almost as if hitting it 😅. I’ve attached photos of the first and second flat whites. When we reported this to another attentive staff member, he didn’t hesitate to replace it. I want to give 5 stars for the two other staff members who helped us—they truly made our day! We tried the house merguez sausage, garlic aioli, and pistachio flan, and honestly, we absolutely loved them all. I would definitely come back to try more dishes whenever I’m in the area.

This bakery was surprisingly nice: amazing atmosphere, delicious menu and great service. Our server, Nejd, has been very helpful and welcoming with us and our requests. Outstanding menu, great vegetarian options and vast choices of sweet and savory food. Scandi atmosphere with wood interior design, lots of white and cream color, lighting completes everything. We’ll definitely be back!

Turkish restaurant
Restaurant
Antepliler Restaurant is a bustling eatery on Green Lanes, offering a variety of Turkish classics such as lahmacun, mezze, and meat grills. The restaurant also includes a bakery and a casual doner kebab shop. With large portions, low prices, and tasty food, it has become a popular spot for Turkish cuisine.
The food was delicious! We ordered the meat platter for £76 to be shared between 3 people and we ended up having plenty of leftovers enough for at least one more person. One in our group was pesceterian and the menu didn't seem lacking at options at all whether for fish dishes, vegetarian dishes or even vegan. Plenty for everyone. The servers were very attentive and always on top of our needs. This is my second time there and would definitely love to go back again and soon.

The food here is exceptional... you'll find all your normal Turkish staples, like the meze and sharing platters full of perfectly grilled meat, but also interest specialities from Antep, like the sogan kebab, which is just delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Riad D — Google review
The Antepliler restaurant was an excellent experience, both atmospherically and in taste. The decor adds to the authentic Turkish experience. We were served by a wonderful man from Kyrgyzstan. The Ciger dish (liver) was well cooked and included pieces of fat which added to the flavour. You can also go to the building next door where they specialise in Liver, heart and other organs. Highly recommend for families and friends to dine together.

Didn't unfortunately take pictures of my food properly because we have literally devoured it. The service is amazing they're very attentive and the food is so so tasty!! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is after some good Turkish food.

“Small” was literally small. The tea was served in tiny cups – not the ones seen on here the cups were more smaller. The bread came with no salad, was dry, and lacked any effort or care. There was no music or atmosphere – the place felt lifeless. When I commented on the portion size and mentioned that a smaller plate would’ve made more sense visually, the waiter just smiled and walked away – no explanation, no attempt to help. For what they charge, I expected much better. I won’t be going there again. Very disappointing experience!

Today, I visited Antepliler restaurant to try their Adana kebab. Unfortunately, the kebab was very dry and lacked a variety of salad options. The taste was also bland, and the price was quite high. Additionally, I noticed that the chef was preparing the Adana without wearing any hygiene gloves or protective gear. I would advise the owner to prioritise food hygiene and improve the quality of the food.

10/10 for it’s Lahmacun, it’s like a Turkish flat bread with mince, famous mostly in Eastern Turkey - near Antep and Adana. Must try if you’re here. I travel to this area only to eat this.

The service was bad we asked for water never got any. We ordered Dolma never got any the bread was dry, we ordered mixed grill some of the meat was hard to eat and was cold as well. The food tasted like it was made long time ago and they just heated up in the microwave. The waiter dropped the plate on the table like he was fade up with his job. It used to be a good restaurant but I don't know what happened 😕

Love it, just loved it. Beside the busy streets there are some of those quiet places in this soho area in London. Little shops, some restaurants and diner facilities with an awesome menu. Enjoy this area to enjoy your dinner and relax with family and/or friends.

I visit once a year, and it’s always the same. While it might be a place for tourists to take a break, I personally wouldn’t say the food here is any good. It’s busy, chaotic, and hardly relaxing — can you really unwind here? With Soho right next door full of great places to eat, why bother here? I won’t name the brand, but there’s nothing I’d call a “good eat” in this court. Sorry for the harsh review, but keep your eyes open — Soho has proper spots to enjoy!

Worth a visit as a tourist, the surrounding area is beautiful and historic, there's some amazing old shops around, and the vendors all seemed incredibly friendly. We got to sample several things walking around before picking different vendors and then sitting in a wonderful whimsical atmosphere. The sun was shining so that was a plus, but the canal itself is lovely, outside is great on a nice day. My favourite thing was the variety of foods to try, and I encounter such welcoming and generous staff I have great memories of the place 🙌🏻

Kingly Court is a fantastic spot to meet friends for lunch or dinner. It’s essentially a charming courtyard surrounded by restaurants and bars. On the ground level, you’ll find picnic-style tables and benches perfect for outdoor dining, while two additional levels with walkways provide a great vantage point overlooking the courtyard. The area offers a diverse range of cuisines, including Greek, Indian, Italian, Asian, and more, as well as some excellent bars to enjoy. It’s a lively hub with something for everyone!

Genuinely the best meal I’ve had in such a long time ! Impeccable food and service and not too busy (went Thursday eve at 7pm) basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves! We had a nice experience with my friend for dinner, the vibe was great and the service was amazing, with a special mention for our waiter David. The +: the lounge bar area that transforms into a dance floor after 10 pm on the first floor. The food is good but a bit pricey, you deffo pay for the full complete experience! One of my favourite places for a night out in this area

My wife and I had visited Hovarda for dinner & we really liked our experience. The food was great and service was very hospitable. Our server took good care of us & our meal/drinks were served promptly. As oppose to many reviews, we found the portion size for the mains very substantial - in fact both my wife and I got portion of our mains for takeaway. As far as value of money goes, it is definitley an upmarket restaurant with high prices so guests should expect a steep bill.

Modern Greek restaurant in the middle of Piccadilly really good for a pre-party dinner. The food is really good but it’s too expensive, we had some starters like Saganaki or tuna tartare that were really good, Turbot was not really good presented and very citric. Wines were too expensive for the quality of them, minimum 50£ for a normal wine. The service was good but I will expect more from one place like this. The music was pretty loud during dinner time and after 10pm the music was more louder and turned off the light, more party mode. The restaurant environment is cool and posh, recommendable for friends dinner celebration!

Dinner place which will turn into a club in the evening. Interesting interior design. Staff was nice but rushed us into paying our bills towards to end, the booking did not specify us needing to return the table by a certain time. Food was average. We ordered the Porterhouse steak which had lots of tendons inside and was a bit cold when served.

The store specializes in traditional Arabic sweets, including maamoul, rose Turkish delight, and Halawet-El-Jibn. Knafeh, a creamy cheese delicacy sprinkled with rose blossom syrup, is another specialty of the shop.
The best place to buy baclava. Owner moved three time since I been eating baclava from here..today I went there again. Gentleman Simpson served me best baclava and others sweet..best serving. This the best place.
Ashiq H — Google review
I am dissatisfied with part of my order. While the Pistachio Maamoul Mad and the Date Maamoul were delicious and enjoyed by my guests, the Balouria was unacceptable. It was dry, hard, and tasted very old, which led my guests to find it unpleasant and not eat it. I feel it is unfair to pay £20.95 for 650g of a product that ended up being thrown away. I hope the shop can provide an explanation for this issue!

Quality of the products has gone down hill since last year for online orders they dont taste and smell like the older batches its clear they have cut the key ingredient Ghee on most their products. Ashtar is a much better brand and quality. It is available online. Could you kindly also confirm how many sweetland London there are in the London area ?
Heman R — Google review
We live in Cardiff and for the last 20 plus years we always bought our baklava and other sweets from Sweetland in London. We mainly order baklava etc online and occasionally when we visit London, we would visit the bakery and shop in person. We always thought highly of all their products especially the baklavas and in the past, we ordered online for my son’s wedding, birthdays, gifts, etc. Few weeks ago, we ordered bourma pistachio, pistachio baklava and baklava selection for a party, we were very disappointed with the quality of the bourma which was overbaked and had pistachio shell bits in the filling. Furthermore, we paid for premium selections and what we received was bit sizes for all the orders. I have given one start only because the product arrived in time as promised – shame that after all these years we now have to look for an alternative bakery.

The food was made with sincerity and tasted good. Service was also friendly. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the interior which doesn’t match the food. In no way does it give away the sense that you’re going to eat Middle Eastern / Israeli.

Za'ta - Home-Style Lebanese Grab&Go is the perfect neighborhood gem that you’ll wish was just around the corner. This casual eatery serves up a delightful array of offerings, from delectable morning pastries like their renowned rose and pistachio croissants to chic cocktails for unwinding after a long day. The menu beautifully marries traditional Lebanese flavors, inspired by cherished family recipes, with contemporary culinary twists that elevate each dish.
Absolutely unbelievable. The cost of coffee itself has gone to over £4 in this area, and to have a soup at £3.65, a fully filling vegetable stew at £4.85, plus a dessert for £1.99 is simply amazing. The quality of the food is excellent, and it’s clear they really value their customers. Za’ta is a gem! 👏👌

At first glance, it seemed like a really nice place, and I was excited to try it. I had the chicken with veggies, and my partner had the falafel with halloumi. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. My chicken was overcooked, and the vegetables were just carrots and onions, served with overly hot (almost mashed) pickles. The falafel was dry and tasteless, and the halloumi was clearly low quality. We couldn’t eat the food - I don’t recommend this place at all.

Canary Wharf branch: Food: I bought the mixed mezze box with flatbread to take away, it was absolutely delish, especially the baba ganoush and the red rice (?) with aubergine. My least favourite was the hummus and I think this is because it was really cold in the fridge. Service: I went a couple of minutes before closing and the man serving me was patient and told me to take my time whilst I decided what I wanted to eat. He even helped me place my order and was overall very friendly. Great customer service.

Tehran____Berlin By Yuma Hashemi, formerly known as The Drunken Butler Restaurant, is a bright and airy spot in London that offers a unique blend of elevated French cuisine with Persian influences. The restaurant's interior design reflects its Middle Eastern heritage with vibrant colors and intricate floor tiles, creating a beautiful dining atmosphere. The ever-changing menu at Tehran____Berlin draws inspiration from around the globe but heavily features influences from France and Persia.
Beautiful food from start to finish. Excellent wine pairings, and that plum negroni to start was dreamy. The best thing however is Yuma’s exceptional hosting. We spent almost 4 hours enjoying his wonderful food and hospitality, one of the best meals London has ever given us.

Stay away from this place, I do not recommend! Food was average (pictures look better than it tastes) and the service mediocre. At that price point (£100 per person excluding drinks and service charge) one would expect impeccable service (restaurant is understaffed). Some of the food was dry and too salty (especially the fish course). On top of that we couldn’t even pay by card as the card machine was allegedly broken. We had to do a bank transfer at the end of our meal to pay and the staff didn’t even try to take off the service charge for the trouble or compensate us in any way!

I like this place for the experience not the food. The food is average. As an Iranian I've had far superior Iranian food but I enjoyed the concept and the intimate atmosphere. It's cute to see how they try to make simple everyday Iranian dishes into fine dining 😃

It was a wonderful experience at Teheran Berlin. We reserved the Chef-table which is just next to the open air kitchen and we had the opportunity to see the Chefs in action. The tasting menu was made of different options vegetarian, fish and meat, every dish was exceptionally executed and presented. We enjoyed every sigle bite. The host and the service have also been impeccable, small details and attention do make the difference! 🫶🏼 I loved my experience here and I recommend it to everyone.

The staff and service at the drunken butler are a real part of the experience. Very friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend something to drink! The decor is beautiful. We had the Sunday lunch which is a set menu of family style eating. All of the food was delicious, but I would say there are too many starter /dip type things for my liking. We were quite full of savoury by the time the mains arrived. Dessert was just one tiny dish at the end, I have a sweet tooth so felt a bit short changed by this. We had an arrival drink and shared 2 bottles of wine between 4 the bill was £150 each. I had a lovely time but probably wouldn't go again.

Came to celebrate my anniversary with my husband and was left elated. This was by far the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in London in terms of value, service, and food. Firstly, the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is so warm and cozy. Yuma greets you at the door with such a welcoming vibe. You’re seated and the waitstaff don’t leave you for long. They were so welcoming and amicable, but not pushy or overbearing. We were assured everything we were served would be halal. We were offered a lovely mocktail unique from any of the typical overly sweet ones we’ve had elsewhere. The amuse-bouche roll in and they are divine. Yuma balances familiarity and comfort of Persian cuisine with ingenuity of striking new flavours. Despite being quite nice dining, Tehran Berlin didn’t have that typical stuffy overly formal feel you experience so often - we were encouraged to eat with our hands and sip the sauces. Then the mains came - tahdig was divine, served alongside juicy flavourful chicken, sabzi with such succulent slow cooked lamb, and geymah with a cinnamon accent highlighting the warmth and comfort of the dish, all these served alongside a refreshing simple salad. We loved it so much we ate it too fast - and we were offered a top up! Just again, exceptional table service. Then the desserts came - one small Persian style napoleon cake, the perfect size to indulge a sweet tooth after such a delicious filling meal, then a palate cleanser that miraculously leaves you feeling clean and satisfied rather than bloated and uncomfortable. Overall, a really truly exceptional restaurant. I am so keen to see what Yuma continues to do, his passion and experience shines through the menu and his demeanour. Really, really exceptional restaurant.
Hiba A — Google review
The amount of creativity, passion, and thoughts that have gone into the menu to combine the traditional Persian flavors with modern French techniques is absolutely fascinating. It’s not just the creativity and presentation, but everything also tastes incredible. If I lived in London, I would have to restrain myself not to go more frequently than once a month! The other favorite part of my dining experience is how the tasting menu transitions from small modern French dishes, suddenly, to a Persian feast (photo attached). The chicken and the rice could be the best I ever had. Lastly, the fact that you are sitting in the kitchen and everything is being prepared around you is an experience you won’t forget. Dominic was really awesome and looked after us so well. Congratulations to the chef and staff for this amazing concept and can’t wait to come back.

Had Iranian tasting menu and spent £235pp including wines (£160 with non alcoholic drinks). Food is decent but not out of the world. The portions for fish and lobster (additional £30) look ridiculously small (about 3cm long)… Our seats are very closed to other people’s seats so it’s hard to get the privacy we wanted. Service was excellent.

Hit or miss depending on the day and on what you order, I think. The chicken shawarma wrap is delicious and juicy! The halloumi one - not so much. The chips/fries are terrible, probably the cheapest/worst brand of frozen ones out there. Cleanliness wise, well, best not to look.. 😅

Went here today and the guy didn’t use gloves when making the wrap. He used his bare hands to wrap the wrap and put the falafel in the wrap. He then pushed the falafel down with his fingers without wearing gloves! Very unhygienic and won’t ever be buying again. I went here a few years ago and two young lads were there who were such better and professional.

The absolute best falafel in town. The wraps are so tasty with loads of pickles and salad and even a bit of moutabal in with beautifully spiced crispy falafel.

Best falafel wraps in Tooting, wish they stayed open later though! Closed by 6:30 normally.
Mark C — Google review
We just had a meal via Uber Eats and unfortunately it was running late. These guys were super kind and gave us a free Aperitivo gift. Food was tasty. Nice touch!
