Restaurant
Meril is a casual dining spot in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, brought to you by celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse. The restaurant offers a diverse menu of area-sourced New American plates, complemented by cocktails and local beer. The ambiance exudes history with its brick walls and generous seafood platters. Dishes like Cast Iron Baked Cheese with ciabatta and Pineapple Upside Down Cornbread with bacon marmalade showcase bold and rich flavors.
We went for Nola's Restaurant Week, although we ordered straight from the menu! So many great choices of small, sharable plates! Food was excellent; the only part of the service that wasn't was the slow delivery of drinks (bar needs a server if it's going to be located on the other side of the space from dining).

Sat at the bar. They two bartenders were great. Every options for libations was available. The boudin balls were the best I’ve had. The tuna wraps were good, but I’d skip next time. Had a cup of gumbo that was ok. Was expecting the gumbo to knock my socks off but feel it lacked the depth of flavor a good rue delivers. Either way, I’d go back and try more food.
Mike H — Google review
Such an awesome dining experience. Took my team out for dinner and had an excellent experience here for the first time. The service was top notch and food delivered on another level. The appetizers and entrees were very tasty. Would recommend the BBQ shrimp and deviled eggs and for entrees you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We were assigned two servers and they were very attentive throughout our dining experience.
J W — Google review
Nice atmosphere, needed a reservation. Food was good but a little on the skimpy side for what you pay. Service was great, friendly staff. One downside was the noise, it was very loud and I got the feeling of a cafeteria environment.
Maggie S — Google review
Just had a great meal at Meril’s. We spent ages looking for somewhere so we’re pleased we found this place round the corner from our hotel. Rasheed was so lovely, polite and a great host. The food was delicious and clearly fresh. Would recommend!
Alexx J — Google review
We dined at Meril in New Orleans during our summer travels. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, which created a fun vibe, but it did get quite noisy at times. To start, we ordered a few cocktails, the watermelon salad, and the ribs as appetizers. We also had the upside-down cornbread, which unfortunately arrived quite late—actually after the mains had already come out. For our main courses, I had the market fish and my husband had the ribeye. The fish was completely undercooked, and when I mentioned this to our server, he said he would let the manager know, but unfortunately no one ever followed up or addressed it, so I basically just ended up not eating it, which was highly disappointing. On top of that, the service experience was quite confusing. We had multiple waiters switching during the meal, which made things feel a bit disjointed and didn’t help the flow of the dinner at all. Overall, Meril has a fun atmosphere and some creative dishes, but the execution of the food and the service coordination left to be desired.

Keys was an incredible server. His food recommendatios did not miss!!! Layla was outstanding at the Bar. Her knowledge of the bourbon were second to none. Def recommend.
Renzo U — Google review
The restaurant is beautiful, great atmosphere and service and the food is amazing. The only thing that I didn’t like is that the air conditioner was so cold that you couldn’t enjoy your meal, everyone at the table was shivering and the food was too cold in a few minutes.

Tartine is a charming cafe known for its delightful courtyard and delectable breakfast and lunch offerings. While not a traditional bakery, it prides itself on serving house-baked breads crafted by the talented owners, Cara and Evan Benson. The menu features an array of tempting treats such as scones, quiches, eggs baked in brioche, and flavorful salads.
I left New Orleans, but I still find myself thinking about (and craving) Tartine's grilled vegetable sandwich..... it's THAT good! If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it! They also offer a variety of scone flavors that change daily, and they’re always delicious. Give it a shot! You won’t be disappointed!!!!

Nice place to grab some food for your breakfast. The atmosphere was amazing and service was good! I had the stuffed baguette and it was marvelous. The soup was also great, full of flavor. Happy to recommend.
Yadong L — Google review
Y'all!!!! Oh, my gracious!!! I don't know who is running this joint, but it is obviously someone's realized dream! When I tell you that you can taste the love in every bite, I mean EVERY-SINGLE-BITE! I'm not one to venture outside of my comfort zone when it comes to restaurant food, so I didn't. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and decided to avoid reading the details. Boy, was I pleased! Fluffy eggs, perfectly cut and cooked bacon, and pistou on ciabatta. These last two ingredients would have been a hard no for me. Apparently, I've never had a real and fresh ciabatta because this bread was the most amazing bread I've ever had in my life! And pistou? Uhhhh, no thanks. Have mercy! This tasted nothing like what I had imagined bright green mush would taste like. Heaven. It tastes like heaven🥰 Tartine (Google definition: a slice of bread with a sweet or savory topping) is easy on the wallet, big on taste, full belly without the sluggish feeling you get after a heavy breakfast, must visit kinda place! My kids were not as thrilled as I was, so I let them grab various fresh baked goods like the blondies, lemon poppyseed cake, and pumpkin loaf. They gobbled them down super fast! I did get a bite of the lemon poppyseed cake, and I instantly regretted not buying every slice they had. Crunchy outside, perfectly moist inside with great flavor. The cinnamon roll was pretty good, too! 10/10 RECOMMEND! Visited 12/30/25 Brunch

My boyfriend used to come here for years when he lived in New Orleans. He brought my family during our visit and it was incredible. They have very fresh bread they bake themselves, a cozy atmosphere, very kind staff, and everything we ordered was exceptional. Definitely recommend this for a breakfast/brunch stop for anyone looking in Uptown. We will always come back when we're in town! Absolutely wonderful!!

So personally I didn't love my sandwich, but I know it was a personal taste preference. The bread was amazing. Fresh and crisp. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Chicken was well cooked. I think I just don't find pesto as flavorful in the right way that others do.
Sabrina G — Google review
This was our first meal in New Orleans and it has definitely set the stage. Food was fresh and tasty, service was polite and helpful and location was perfect for us as it was a short walk to the zoo. People kept coming in to pick up king cakes so we decided to see what the fuss was about... one bite and we understood. Sugary ooey gooey goodness! Yum!

Delightfully local cafe with fine selection of food and friendly helpful staff and artfully decorated
Sam D — Google review
This place is the best at what they do. I love everything I have ever gotten here but here’s today’s choices. Baked eggs in brioche and the daily meat quiche. Didn’t take a photo of the soup but you can literally never go wrong with any of their soups. I’m a soup queen. This is the best soup in the city.

Takeout Restaurant
The Milk Bar is a popular counter-ordering eatery known for its delicious sandwiches, salads, and shakes. The portions are generous, especially the sandwiches like the Roast Beef Po-Boy and the creative Caddle Fodder sandwich. The menu offers a variety of options to suit different tastes. Customers praise the quality ingredients, reasonable prices, and friendly service. While seating may be limited due to its popularity, it's considered a perfect spot for a satisfying lunch.
First time in New Orleans and we're so happy we spotted this place and decided to dine in! Staff is super friendly and made us feel like royalty. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Strawberry lemonade was refreshing. They even gave free lollipops with each order; super cute. Definitely recommend this place!
Jessenia B — Google review
I really love sandwiches, and it has treated me very well. I ate here before I proposed to my wife. There are a number of seats available for dining. I like the Shrimply the Best sandwich. The cheese and shrimp just ooze out. I thought I wasn't going to get full, but it turned out to be very filling. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys a good sandwich.
Dat N — Google review
This is an interesting place for sure people and servers are fantastic, the food was ok. When you eat in Nola you expect something superior this place was just average on flavor the roast beef definitely needed more something. Anyway you can have amazing milk shakes there for sure so they got 3 stars total.

10/10 Stopped by to grab a sandwich and was thoroughly impressed by the quality and service here. I will definitely be back to try their food again. I ordered the Phsycho Chicken that was so delicious! I love olives so it was perfect.
Mizani B — Google review
It's been many years since I've been here, but I was determined to get back this trip. The Shrimply the Best did not disappoint! As delicious as I remember all those years ago and the service was great! Located in the Riverbend area (on the streetcar line) with lots of parking, this gem offers a twist on the local sandwich/poboy offerings. So worth it!
Monique S — Google review
This place is awesome and im glad I stumbled upon it, driven past it for a couple years now. Got the Clooney sandwhich which is delicious btw. Definitely gonna go back because they have a wide variety of items and it isn't too heavy on the wallet or stomach. The staff were super friendly also. The one draw back is that when that get busy there is no where to sit, but that's what ya get when you find a great place to eat.

THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve ever had! Simple ingredients but yet so tasty! I was on vacation in New Orleans and on our last day there before heading to the airport we we’re passing by and decided to check it out randomly. So glad we did because I have been trying to recreate this and it is not even close!

Good Bird is a popular spot in NoLA, known for its delicious and healthy sandwiches, salads, bowls, and avocado toasts. The Larry Bird sandwich with roasted Springer Mountain Farms chicken, bacon, avocado, tomato, lettuce and aioli on ciabatta is a must-try. Visitors rave about the friendly staff and large portion sizes that leave them feeling full and energized. The breakfast bowl with added falafel is particularly praised for its addictive flavors.
Delicious sandwiches! I love Good Bird for a quick bite. Their servings are generous and the sandwiches make great leftovers. Also perfect for plant based options! I would recommend the green bird and the falafel sandwich. The side salad had a great dressing too. I'll be back.
Tara — Google review
Overall, Good Bird was great. Me and my girlfriend got a sandwich along with a salad. We ate the pita chips first that came with the sandwich and they were surprisingly really good. The sandwich itself was decent, which was the Larry Bird Junior, it possibly needed a little bit more seasoning. Other than that, the salad was excellent, the pairing of almonds with goat cheese as well as the add-on of rotisserie chicken was phenomenal.
Devin S — Google review
Absolutely fantastic food and incredible service! The restaurant was spotless, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere even during the busiest hours. The dishes were top-notch, bursting with freshness and flavor. Service was lightning-fast, and every bite was a 10/10! I can’t wait to return and experience it all again!
Josh B — Google review
Great lunch spot for sandwiches and salads. Counter service is very quick, and the food was all very fresh. Highly recommend the Birdman Jr. and the Sue Bird salad. The house made vinaigrette is insanely good. Glad they were able to move to a larger spot to accommodate dining in. Highly recommend.

Every time I come here I HAVE to get the Larry Bird ⛹🏼‍♂️ sandwich. I know there are other great items on the menu because of how consistently busy and packed the place becomes at times, but i can not speak to other items on the menu because I seriously cannot get away from the Larry Bird Sandwich 😂🤷🏽‍♂️. When I am really hungry, I also order the Avocado Salad (which is delicious also)🥗 with 2 Izze drinks. All of it is not only fulfilling, but satisfying. The wait staff is ALWAYS great and the atmosphere is intimate and chill. They are always so friendly, energetic, & down to earth. The owners are great also and really personable when engaging with customers. It makes the experience that much better when you meet great owners like that. Do yourself a favor and visit this location & order the Larry Bird ⛹🏼‍♂️with an Avocado Salad 🥗.

Salads Galore & More is a hidden gem in NO East, known for its healthy and delicious offerings. The menu includes a variety of salads, wraps, and baked potatoes. Customers rave about the well-cooked salmon salad and the grilled shrimp salad with added bacon and egg. The ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are flavorful without being overly filling.
First time there, after passing it up for years. I got the blackened salmon salad and added shrimp and though it was a standard salad… I truly enjoyed it. I will definitely be back to try a wrap next time. Also got me a chocolate chip cookie that was real soft! 🔥 That lady at the register was pleasant and greeted me with a smile.

I had the Salmon salad today, it was awesome. So I am making a point of coming here every Friday!! I have the pictures from the salads purchased last week, did not take any of the salmon salad I started eating it immediately. I always order ahead, good food, friendly staff 😋

I came here almost 2 years ago for the salmon and shrimp potato. Started craving it again so I tried it today. It’s still as good as it was when I first tasted it. The chocolate chip cookies are delicious too.

Fine dining restaurant
Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse is a classic steakhouse with a Creole twist, located just minutes from Canal Street in New Orleans. The restaurant, which has been open for 15 years, offers a posh and wood-paneled space with a busy happy hour. It specializes in Gulf seafood and juicy steaks smothered in bearnaise sauce, served alongside heart-stopping creamed spinach.
We made reservations for 6:30, arrived at the restaurant at 6:26 and was immediately seated. The server was fabulous. He was very welcoming, explained dishes and made the best sweet tea. The food was very tasty and it was a lot of it. We definitely got our moneys worth. The atmosphere was relaxing and very inviting. I would recommend this place for a lovely date night or when you want to treat yourself and/or others to a nice meal.
Melanye C — Google review
We had reservations on 10/31/2025. We had saved up for a nice birthday dinner. The Beef Wellington was very tough and not good at all most of the meat was inedible. It did not seem to be beef tenderloin. The sides were by far the best part of the meal. It was very disappointing. The server and staff were amazing though. The service was outstanding, just wish the food matched.
John B — Google review
Place was amazingly with some great decor and absolutely delicious steak 🥩 with a lot of other choices too. Staff was excellent and the place was very homely.
ACE — Google review
Excellent experience. From the service to the cuisine, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse is the epitome of fine dining in New Orleans. We opted for the dining for two steak / sides / sauces, which was plenty for way more than just the two of us. Highly recommend
Elizabeth G — Google review
We were in search of a nice dinner to celebrate our engagement and after a terrible experience at Chemir a la Mer the night prior, we decided to give Dickie Brennan's a shot. I am so thankfull we were able to secure a reservation...they filled up very quickly. We were greeted with congratulations and even had a ballon at our table. Deja was so, so friendly and attentive. Our steaks were cooked just as we requested and so delicious! The sides were just as great. We look forward to dining here again, and we will highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans.
Alicia C — Google review
Just wow. Great location, amazing food and second to none on the service. Chief must be a wizard as the food will leave you spell bound. It's magic. Our waitress could not do enough and was very entertaining and helpful, so head over as you will not be disappointed. It would be a mistake not to include it on your trip.
Richard S — Google review
5 stars all around. The food, service and atmosphere is top notch. The service is impeccable. A well established restaurant that takes care of the customer. Our waiter was Alfredo and the manager was Lee - both professional.
Jim B — Google review
Arrived for a 6:30pm reservation to celebrate a 30th Anniversary. It was early enough that all the servers and managers were lined up to greet us we were led to our table, giving us the VIP feel. All was going great at the very beginning. We thought the evening was going to be a great dining experience. As they took our drink and food order. We waited, and waited, and waited. Our entree dishes finally arrived at 8:30pm, apparently as a result of a mix up between the kitchen and a 3 weeks on the job server. The explanation didn't really hold water as we saw dozens of patrons arrived after and leave before us. We were one of the last two leave the restaurant.at almost 9pm! The staff, after being asked what the long delay was, finally got upper management involved to try and save the situation by all converging to get our food to us finally. That part was helpful, but in all honesty, it seemed that such a bad error on their part resulting in such an excessive delay would have caused the restaurant to offer more than an apology, given all the management team that got involved to help the newbie. So we made the best of it and my only real complaint is the disappointment of seeing the restaurant treat the matter like it had no importance to it's reputation or standards of service. Definitely could have been a better experience.

delicious pizza! classic pepperoni is perfect. but there's also several unique pies as well such as jambalaya pizza, crab and shrimp (big!), etc. really nice thin crust with high quality ingredients. Dawn provided great service.

I had a great experience at Louisiana Pizza Kitchen. I ordered the Herb chicken pesto pizza for the Vegan Chef Challenge. Got it pick up. The staff was really friendly for my brief interaction. It was the perfect lunch for two. My non vegan friend shared it with me and even she said it was great! She’d liked the crust, was so curious about the vegan chicken, the pesto was a little sweet which I liked and the cheese was an easy to eat texture, not too sticky on my teeth like when I sometimes have vegan cheese pizza. Overall, we were both very satisfied. If I didn’t have other challenge restaurants to try, I’d be back for it again

Food was really good. They were able to accommodate our huge group. Calamari delicious, but the sauce they put it on...AMAZING. Caprese, also phenomenal. The pizza was really good too. Well balanced with toppings, sauce, crust & cheese

Great pizza shop right next to the French Market in the French Quarter. Tables inside and outside. This is great spot to sit outside, eat pizza and catch a concert that the New Orleans Jazz Museum puts on right next door. Try the Crab Meat Beignets.

First time visit, decided to check it out around 8pm on a Saturday evening in Sept. Not too busy. Seated right way. Ordered water and a pepperoni pizza. Loved the fire baked pizza. It was really good. Definitely return sometime soon.
Jamie G — Google review
Well, that was a bit of a letdown from the high hopes that I held going in. The pizza crust wasn't good; only a mild crispness and browning - a cracker style rather than a sourdough with a proper ferment that would give it more rise and structure. I accept some fault for not having asked before ordering. What really hurt was the excessive application of capers, making the pie much too salty. This leads me to my biggest question - if the dish isn't good, why is it a high-end item on the menu? (It would also be nice to be notified in advance that there's a surcharge for paying with a credit card.)
P.J. H — Google review
In all of my travels this is one of my few must visit places. Their pizza is out of this world. No need to order extra cheese as they don't skimp on cheese. The crust is cracker thin and so amazing. Like I said every New Orleans visit this is a must have for me. You won't be disappointed

It was packed but that was to be expected because it was a Halloween weekend. They only had two servers. The one that seated us you could tell was overwhelmed . Our server was very good. After ordering the food came out in fast order.

Romantic setting. Loved it. We made reservations online and added our special occasion, anniversary. They had a card on our table wishing us a happy anniversary and gave us a dessert treat!

The food was good, not exactly what I was expecting, but ok. I was a bit disappointed there wasn’t a separate vegetarian menu. The only option offered was a vegetable plate made up of side dishes. Usually, the chef will put something together that's more vegetarian-friendly, but that wasn’t the case here.
Caramel S — Google review
The Chophouse delivered an outstanding dining experience. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly right. The sides were large enough to share, and everything came out fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel special. Overall, Chophouse New Orleans is a top choice for a classic steakhouse experience done right.

This place is incredible. The vibe in the restaurant upscale yet relaxed. The drinks and food are some of the best I've ever had. We came here for my husband's birthday and they even made him a card, which was the sweetest thing. Service was excellent. I didn't order a steak, but tasted my husband's, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfection is the only word to describe it. Redfish Amandine was also to die for, especially if you enjoy browned butter. We will definitely be back.

Yesterday we came to celebrate my birthday, it was our first time eating at this restaurant and everything was perfect. Mauricio (I think that’s his name) did an excellent job from beginning to end. The food 10/10, ambiance 10/10, service 10/10.
Cristina R — Google review
Went here for a dinner meeting, so our meal was pre-planned but all the food that I tried was fantastic and the service was great! Make sure you get a reservation though, the place was packed. Was very impressed with the crumb comb the waitress used between meals (I don’t eat “fancy” often hahah) I recommend the thick cut bacon, New York Strip, and cheesecake for dessert. They make a mean whiskey sour, and I normally don’t like wine, but “The Prisoner Red Blend” was surprisingly good.
Martin L — Google review
Very pleasant environment and the 10 oz. New York Strip steak was done to perfection! We also enjoyed the Baked Shrimp entree which was delicious. The shrimp were huge, tender, and prepared just right. The price of the meal for two of us was reasonable for New Orleans. Top marks go to the entire staff for their customer service, beginning with the Valet who met us as we pulled up and parked our car even though it was equipped with a disability lift attached to the rear hitch. He was a very accommodating and friendly gentleman who assisted me into the restaurant. Much appreciated! Our server was the absolute best we’ve experienced at any of the fine establishments we’ve visited in many major cities! He was friendly and accommodating from the start, knew his menu, and provided us a very nice wine. Due to his professional service every aspect of our meal was perfect! This sort of experience is indicative of a management team who genuinely care about their staff members and ensure they are always at their best. Thank you all at Chop House of New Orleans. You really brought it! Dr. Bob Tanner

Meals From the Heart Cafe is a hidden gem located in the French Market of New Orleans, offering a health-conscious menu with vegan and gluten-free options. Chef Marilyn Doucette curates every ingredient daily to ensure high-quality, from-scratch dishes. The cafe is known for its vegan versions of classic New Orleans fare like gumbo, po-boys, and crab cakes. Visitors can enjoy fluffy pancakes and their famous crab cake tacos while supporting a black-owned establishment at this local favorite spot.
honestly so delicious. not a single miss. got okra gumbo, shrimp and grits (amazing), and the vegan red beans. we had both the regular and vegan beignets and all the food hit the spot. bloody mary was perfectly savory and spicy.

This place saved me with amazing GF gumbo and herbed GF toast! I was struggling in New Orleans, where much of the food is fried or otherwise gluten contaminated. I walked into the outdoor French Market and found this stall; Meals From the Heart. I was saved! The gumbo was full of chicken and sausage and shrimp and made me so happy I almost wept. Thank you, sweet lady at the counter, for saving me from the prospect of my choking down another GF protein bar.

This is a market style place, but they have an amazing vegan menu and I only wish I was hungrier. Being in New Orleans I thought I better have the Okra Gumbo which was delicious. Not the sort of thing I’d normally order and I fought the urge to go one of the amazing looking Po-boys, but glad I did! It was delicious, and light, and the small was perfect as a snack, especially accompanied by the amazing Bloody Mary, which was LOADED with edible garnishes. Loved it and the atmosphere of the market was perfect for a quick pit stop in New Orleans.

People, just do yourself a favour and go to this place! Delicious food, delicious drinks, super friendly service! We were there twice - it was that good! Also that was definitely the best Bloody Mary I've ever had! The crab cakes were absolutely delicious!

I was so excited to find New Orleans food that was vegan! I ordered the vegan Po Boy & it was amazing. My husband ordered the regular one & also loved his. We actually had to go up & ask which one was vegan since they both looked so similar. We got vegan beignets that were life changing. I wish we lived closer so I could eat here all the time!

Some of the best vegan food I've ever had. I got the sweet potatoes, sweet heat cauliflower, red beans and rice, and bread pudding for dessert. It was all fantastic, but the red beans and rice were the star of the show. I was in vegan heaven! The staff were also very friendly, and the food was reasonably priced.

Loved the various gluten-free options at this restaurant. I went with the po-boy Philly style sandwich and it was awesome! I also enjoyed a hurricane drink which was great, too.

We LOVED our food at Meals From The Heart Cafe! The vegan gumbo, beans, spicy sausage, crab cake po boy and beignets were excellent. So flavorful, delicious. The food tasted like love, and the service was kind. Bonus that it’s next to a cute flea market and park.

Carmo is a vibrant tropical restaurant and bar located in New Orleans, offering a warm and casual setting for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. The menu showcases a fusion of Southeast Asian, West African, Caribbean, and South American flavors using fresh local ingredients. Founded in 2010, this open-kitchen eatery is committed to providing healthy and affordable dining options. Menu highlights include the carmo salad, rico sandwich, and appetizers featuring avocado.
This is such a great place. Everyone should check it out!! The food is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you order! We all had the crepes for breakfast. I really loved the banana crepes the most. My son had the egg & havarti crepe, which was phenomenal & also came with a small salad with the most amazing dressing. The only thing I didn't love was the coffee. The server seemed unsure about it, and it was lukewarm & overly bitter. I also asked for some oat milk, of which she brought less than a teaspoon in a little cup, which wasn't quite enough even for my small cup of coffee. I didn't notice the coffee station in the room until later, or I would have walked over to see what the options there were. Even so, one bad cup of coffee wasn't enough to overshadow how wonderful the rest of our meal was! I would definitely go here again!

The food was awesome. I got the vietnamese bread banquette and loved it. I would recommend this place for the food. The ingredients were clean as well. The service wasn’t the best though. My family arrived right as the restaurant opened at 5, and the woman who welcomed us in was not very inviting or kind. It felt like she wanted to help us as fast as possible so she could sit down on her phone. I understand that the service industry is difficult and usually i can overlook these sort of things, but this waitress was so offputting and unhelpful. It also took ~40 minutes for the food to arrive. Great food but not sure if i would visit again or recommend this place which is unfortunate

Food was good. Service the first time I ate here was great - there was room for improvement the second time. Great vegan menu with lots of options. Wish they had a sample platter where you could try a few things instead of having to commit to one dish. The Vietnamese bread was delightful. Overall, cool spot.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of wooden bench tables. Haitian artwork surrounds each dining area, enough for the restaurant to double as a gallery. We had a large 50 to 60 person party in the back dining area. It's the only restaurant visited during a 11 day work trip to New Orleans that had vegan meat options. We attended a brunch with gluten free tortillas and vegan sausage, all kinds of pastries and jellies. It was amazing! Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. An absolute must visit if ever in New Orleans.

Absolute stand out restaurant. Everything here was incredible. I think they rice their potatoes or something, because the sweet potato fritters were so amazingly smooth and delicious. The trifongo was delicious. Those little fried cheese bread balls were SO good. Come here hungry, order as much as your stomach can fit. One of the best meals I've had in the past couple years. I can't really pinpoint what made their food so good, but whatever it was, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back next time I'm in NOLA. And I can't believe how reasonable the bill was for how much we ate!

After a long day of traveling from California, we wanted an early dinner that wasn’t too heavy and had vegan options. We got to Carmo at 5:45PM and were seated immediately by a very friendly host. The ambiance makes you feel like you are somewhere tropical with a simple, no frills vibe. Now let’s get to the food… We ordered the smoked fish fritters, sweet potato fritters, Vegan Rico, Daily Rice & Beans with Sausage, and Regular Rico. The fritters came out piping hot with a great crunch but soft middle. The sweet potato fritters were a bit bland, but the aioli helped to give it flavor. The smoked fish fritters were more flavorful, but still lacked the kick I was looking for. Enter the super flavor hot sauce on the table…perfection! The Ricos were tasty and came with a side salad. The portions were a bit small but was perfect since we ordered the fritters. Again, add the hot sauce! Since we didn’t feel stuffed, we ordered dessert - Chocolate Almond Torte & Basque Cheesecake. The torte was packed with deep chocolate flavor and the almonds added a nice sweetness. It was dense but pleasant. Would have gone great with a coffee. The real show stopper - THAT CHEESECAKE! Rich flavor, fluffy texture, and the strawberry coulis added a touch of sweetness and brightness. Would go back, knowing that we have a light option for a meal especially when the heat is kicking.

This place gives the vibes of a hidden gem type of restaurant. Walking by, you wouldn’t think it’s much but the food is AMAZING! We ordered the vegan ceviche, Esmeralda salad, and vegan sausage beans & rice. The first two were GOLD! So good! I was skeptical at first but I was pleasantly surprised with the flavors and quality of all the food. The beans and rice were very basic but still ok. It was the least wowing thing. We even spoke with the folks sitting near us and they were also super pleased with their meal. We did order drinks as well which were ok. I will definitely go back to try more of their vegan menu items the next time I’m in town.

Super cool, large industrial building, great atmosphere. They were kind enough to take us for a late last minute dinner on a Friday night. One of the highlights was the tiradito avocado which was delish, super flavorful sauce.

Boucherie is a cozy restaurant located in a small shotgun house in the Carrollton neighborhood, offering a unique dining experience. Chef Nathanial Zimet's passion for meat and barbecue is evident in the exquisitely prepared cuisine that honors the Cajun boucherie tradition. The restaurant takes pride in sourcing produce and seafood from local farms and fishermen, and everything is made in-house, including smoking, curing, aging, and preparing meats.
My recent meal at Boucherie was absolutely spectacular! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance, our server, Tony, was a true professional, offering excellent recommendations. This is a place where the attention to detail truly shines—every dish was not just delicious but also a work of art. It's a must-visit for a special occasion or anytime you want an unforgettable dining experience.

Full disclosure, I'm a sucker for a great seasonal (fall) tasting menu. I recently visited this neighborhood gem to try their new tasting menu, and was blown away. The staff were warm and hospitable, and the space was cozy and close to home. If you live in the neighborhood you've got to check it out, and it's worth skipping across town if you don't. If you are a wine person, the wine pairings are going to to knock your socks off. Adventurous and funky, while expertly matched to each dish, you are going to try things you've never tried before. The sherry that was paired with the creme brulee deconstructed jelly donut was a lot of fun. The dishes were beautiful and delicious. I think the red snapper over an ajo blanco with black garlic was a stand-out best bite. Creamy, smoky, and complex with the black garlic, I keep thinking back to it. I also really enjoyed the crab cake with pickled crab and caviar creme fraiche. Dessert just didn't miss... all three rounds were total knockouts. Yes, three! :) Do yourself a favor and check it out yourself!

We were visiting New Orleans on a post-cruise stay. Wanted to do something romantic for the wife so I made arrangements to eat at Boucherie. We were staying in the French quarter and rode the cable car out to their location and had a very nice romantic dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. The place is very small. A small dining room inside of a small house and two tables on the front porch and a small patio area. And evening ride down St Charles with Christmas lights and the houses and homes and a very romantic dinner location was excellent. Make a reservation first though as we didn't have one and they scrambled trying to make a place for us. But they did and it was very very nice.

Cafe Degas is a charming French bistro with an intimate and romantic ambiance, featuring a tree growing through the dining room. The restaurant offers a blend of French cuisine with a touch of Creole, complemented by a selection of fine wines. It is known for its delectable quiche options, including the crawfish and spinach quiche and La Quiche Degas. The cafe also boasts an outdoor seating area that enhances the dining experience.
Cafe Degas has such a charming, tucked-away feel, like the kind of place you might stumble upon in a French neighborhood. Everything we ordered was delicious. I'd say the crawfish ravioli was the standout. Service was great. It’s a perfect date spot, though I feel like that’s already common knowledge!

I have had multiple french dinners at New Orleans and this is probably the best one. This is also the only one i had that had French Onion Soup (and its good). I had escargots also in many other restaurants around the city, but this one was the best as well =) Had the lamb for entree and it was decent. Apple pie for dessert was good as well with one tiny scoop of ice cream on the side. Services were pretty good as well, friendly and nice. The restaurant was very local and small but yet very busy. I appreciate the authenticity though, it felt very...cozy!

Went for Coolinary this year and was really disappointed. The online coolinary menu was not available when we got to the restaurant. I heard the guest behind us ask about the menu options and their waitress spoke to a manager and made it happen. When I asked our waiter, he stated it couldn’t be done and they knew the online menu was incorrect. So disappointing. My friend ordered the culinary menu and got the barbecue shrimp and risotto. See the picture for one shrimp one single shrimp. The pear dessert was so floury and not appetizing. We’ve been wanting to try this place for so long and unfortunately it did not meet the mark. The aesthetics did not match the pricing specifically the industrial floor fans hanging from the ceiling. Do better

Desi Vega's Steakhouse is an upscale dining spot located just minutes from Canal Street in New Orleans. The elegant white space with high ceilings offers a classic steakhouse atmosphere, making it perfect for a date night. The menu features prime steaks, seafood, and sides, including the must-try Who Dat Shrimp - bacon-wrapped Gulf shrimp stuffed with crabmeat served with sweet Thai chili sauce. The restaurant is known for its impeccable service and personable staff.
Dined at Desi Vega’s on St Charles with friends, and every single detail, from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, was absolute perfection. Started with crab cakes, Who Dat shrimp, and the signature Desi Vega meatballs—all incredible. Moved on and split a mozzarella and tomato salad, (definitely recommend). For the main course, had the large filet, which was cooked to perfection. Melt-in-your-mouth tender, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Side dishes were sautéed mushrooms and sweet potato soufflé which complemented the steak perfectly. Split peanut butter pie and red velvet brownie à la mode for dessert. I have to give a shout out to our servers, Adrian and DJ and bartender, Cadet. They were personable and fun. Polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, they kept the wine and cocktails flowing and made sure that everything was exactly as we wanted. If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience in New Orleans with outstanding food, impeccable service, and a fantastic atmosphere, Desi Vega’s on St. Charles Avenue is an absolute must-visit. So very happy I found this place on a Friday night. I wanted a steak before I headed home after a long week, and Desi’s delivered! K and Andrew were the perfect bartenders as a full service bar. Started with a tasty old fashioned from Andrew, and followed with a wine paired with my meal by K. Complimentary meatballs and bread were delicious, so I knew I was in the right place. And the steak.. I ordered the petite filet, but it wasn’t petite, and it was sooooo good! Loved the char and butter on the sizzling hot plate. The garlic mash potatoes added the needed touch. Andrew’s chocolate martini fished the meal perfectly. Thanks for a great Friday night meal! —-Doug

It’s not bad but it’s not the best. The best thing about this restaurant is the staff. They really try their best. The food is just ok given the prices. I will say my ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare. The creamed spinach was bland. The crab cakes were disappointing at best. They were mushy and had bits of crab shells. They aren’t served with any sauce. The lamb chops were well seasoned. The mashed potatoes the lamb chops were served with were meh. I had the Down the Rabbit Hole cocktail. The focus must be on the fog it’s served with because the taste was just ok. Disappointing experience overall. Not the worst steakhouse but certainly not the best-ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE

6⭐️for Desi Vega’s Steakhouse. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed, appreciated and loved. Complete strangers to everyone who came to greet us and shower us with affection. Short story. Had reserved a table at Mr.John’s. Mr. John’s was closed but Open Table took our reservation anyway. We called Mr.John’s to make a change and they advised us they were closed. Unbeknownst to us, they took it upon themselves to reserve a table for us at Desi Vega’s. We decided to accept the invite and went for it. New place, new town, new experience. We were absolutely thrilled with the hospitality and attentive service. We ordered NY Strip which was expertly seasoned and prepared. Along with the sweet potato soufflé. Our guests ordered the French onion soup, Who Dat Shrimp, Redfish and rhe Steak Bruschetta. Cleaned plates were the result of the greatness served. The love continued as we were served red velvet cake ala mode and a chocolate bread pudding. Nothing but the highest praise for Adrian, Mona Lisa who were our servers. Knowledgeable, attentive, responsive, courteous and smiles galore was our experience. Kudos to Chris the manager for a great evening, great experience and a wonderful showcase of a great place to eat and fellowship. Prayers of blessings upon the staff.

Ran super efficiently management is top top notch. The owner Desi is hands on. Also in the dining room most night overseeing the standers of top notch dinning establishment. The dining room reminds me of being on stage. While sitting under the extremely romantic light setting. You feel rather special I should say. Now for the food it’s all around hands down upper class prim USDA certified beef. Served on a 550* smoking hot sizzling plate, that even makes that table sizzle a tad while being ganged dropped in sink by 3 serves at exactly the same time. Will be back soon !!!

St. James Cheese Company - Uptown is a bustling sandwich shop and market that offers a wide variety of gourmet cheeses such as Bries, blues, and Gruyères, along with salads. The charcuterie tray can be customized according to your preferences for meats and cheeses. The cheese selection is fantastic, and the staff is knowledgeable and provides great recommendations. In addition to cheese, they also sell canned and refrigerated items as well as cured meats.
This place is off the beaten path and is perfect. You place your order on one side and then find your perfect spot, whether under shade outside or in a bright shirt spot. Unless you want a comfy, air-conditioned area. For me, I went with inside... I added pictures of the 2 plates I ordered. It's simply wonderful. So if you are looking for fresh food with a dash of mellow atmosphere, this is it! Though please be mindful, they do ask that the patrons clean up after themselves.

St. James Cheese Company is a cheese-fueled dream with a secret courtyard perfect for pretending you’re in a French rom-com. The three-cheese board is basically a dairy power trio, the tomato basil soup tastes like a warm hug, and the brie and ham sandwich could charm a Parisian. Then comes the chèvre cheesecake—tangy, creamy, and probably illegal in some states for being this good. Bring friends, or don’t. More cheese for you.

I ordered charcuterie to pick up and upon arrival decided to try the ham and Brie sandwich. It was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I’d prefer a softer bread, but the Brie was so creamy. At home when I opened the charcuterie box it was so beautifully arranged, full, and so delicious. We were so wowed by it I forgot to take pictures. But I’ll be back. Oh yes. Great service too!!!

Stopped by for a quick bite for lunch. I found this spot from a recommendation on TikTok. Pleasant and very quiet. I guess since I came after the lunch rush I missed the busy part of that day. I got the monstero sandwich with a salad. It was okay. The bread was a bit hard which made it difficult to really enjoy my sandwich without everything falling out. The girl who took my order was nice however when she brought my food out..she handed me plastic utensils. She explained that they were out of clean utensils which I didn’t think much of. But as I scanned the restaurant that honestly wasn’t that busy..maybe 4-5 tables at best..I noticed everyone has silverware not plastic. Also when I went to dump my food in their dish bin I noticed silverware in there as well. I want to note that I was also the only black patron in the building at that time. I don’t want to assume anything but I thought that was VERY odd. The place wasn’t even close to being busy but somehow they ran out of silverware for my order??? Oh okay, sure. Even if it wasn’t their intention..the optics were terrible.

Great Uptown lunch location. This place has all your charcuterie needs. Excellent cheese selection and premium meats! A great variety of sandwiches and salads where everyone will find something tasty. They also have a warehouse district location.

We stopped by for some lunch and weren't disappointed. The il Mostro was one big nice sandwich. A pile of meat and tasty soft bread; hard to go wrong there. Everything was fresh and service was quick. The hot mozzarella with tomato was one melty dream. The pesto was not overpowering like some other places. Outside seating was nice, we had plenty of room for our dog too. Total package lunch spot.

Fantastic cheese selection!!! I have been a cheesemonger and the staff was so knowledgeable, kind and had great recommendations. They have a wonderful verity of cheeses and I got a little of everything I wanted! I also got lunch and the sandwiches were wonderful! I didn't get a picture but the portions are very good. The Hook's Cheddar Sandwich is huge and so filling! I can't wait to go back and get more cheese and pick up a sandwich! The parking is not fantastic but there is a parking lot close by for a bank that is easy to get a spot and street parking. Lots of out door seating, was kind of cold (it's November) but also had indoor seating available.

Lebanon's Cafe is a vibrant and casual spot in New Orleans, known for its generous portions of Middle Eastern cuisine. The restaurant's bold red walls and colorful hand-painted murals create a memorable dining atmosphere. With over 22 years of experience, Lebanon's Cafe seamlessly blends Middle Eastern flavors with New Orleanian tradition.
My husband and I went here for dinner last night and we had a great experience. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We shared a combination kabab platter and a fried cauliflower and hummus with pomegranate sauce starter. The starter came with pita so altogether, it was more than enough food for the two of us to share. We enjoyed a Lebanese iced tea with our dinner, but we do recommend asking them to cut down the sweetness with half unsweetened black tea. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, allowing us to offer our prayers in the back when the time came in. It’s also fully halal!

Quick trip to New Orleans and Lebanon’s Cafe really hit the spot. I’m often happy with less than great Mediterranean food, but there was nothing left wanting here. It was so very good. According to my friends, they’ve been serving great food since the 90s. Now you and I know that too. The place feels and tastes great. We enjoyed our food outside in beautifully mild New Orleans weather.

This place is such a hidden gem outside of the busy tourist area! The food was incredibly flavorful and everything tasted fresh. It’s also halal-friendly, which made it an even better experience. The service was wonderful—our server was so kind, attentive, and genuinely made sure we were having a great time. Between the amazing food and the welcoming service, I would definitely recommend this spot!

If you’re looking for authentic food, this is the place to go! This was my introduction to Mediterranean food many years ago, and I could never find better food than this, I tried many other places in New Orleans area. You should try their lamb with vegetables and definitely try the best Lebanese tea in town!

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in NOLA. The Cauliflower Hummus app is divine! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the gyro was moist with crunchy edges. Always a wonderful choice

The food is great, beef is tender and the veggies perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be coming back here! In the pictures you can see the chicken shwarma, veggie stuffed grapeleaves, and spinach dip.
Audry L — Google review
The worst shawarma of my life. It was just lettuce, no tomato, no sauce, and it was also spicy and salty. It was a terrible experience because I also had to tolerate the bad attitude of the blonde girl who served me. Maybe it's because I'm not her race, or because I look Latino, but the truth is, I'm half Lebanese. I grew up eating this food. It's not even close to the Arabic flavor, just commercial. If you know anything about gastronomy, don't come here to waste your money and time.

Maypop is a sophisticated restaurant by chef Michael Gulotta, known for his expertise in blending different cuisines. The menu offers a fusion of New Orleans and Southeast Asian flavors, resulting in unique dishes like the Provencal fish stew bourride with Gulf pompano and jumbo shrimp in grapefruit curry. The weekend brunch features an array of dim sum options, including crispy calamari with tamarind and octopus shumai with spicy mustard.
Excellent 7-course tasting menu at a reasonable price! Gorgeous design and plating with friendly service as well. Very unique dishes and good portions. Perfect for an intimate date night.

Food, ambiance, and service were superb. I recommend the ribeye, tuna kilawin, and ube ice cream. Shout out to our awesome server, Maya! But seriously, everyone there was lovely. Will definitely return. Thank you, Maypop!
Jean M — Google review
Enjoyable but Not GREAT. We do live and work in New Orleans so maybe that makes us food snobs. I have eaten some excellent food here in New Orleans and around the world, Maypop just wasn’t one of those spots. We visited on a Thursday night. We had reservations for 5pm. They opened up exactly at 5pm and welcomed us in – ushered us to our seats. Really a great wait staff. Friendly and helpful. We started with a single cocktail – I had a dirty martini. The drink was good, but olives were just plain olives – nothing special. We were with another couple for a fun dinner before they went to the comedy show and we went home. If you do the Chef’s Tasting Menu it is all or none. All of the table has to do it or none can do it. We agreed that we were hungry so we opted for the 8 Course Grand Tasting menu. $150 pp without wine. It sounded fabulous. This is what we expected. For $150 we expected a few thrills. And we didn’t find them. Gulf Tuna Kinilaw >> one of our favorites – great flavors and the rice crisp gave it a nice crunch Hookkaido Scallop Crudo >> this was good with interesting flavors but nothing overwhelming - Annatto Sesame Rolls >> fairly flavorless and only slightly better with the butter or jam Crispy Fried P&B oysters >> oysters of many sizes (we know they are quire expensive at the moment so we were surprised to see these at all) – good flavors, but nothing really special or umami Charred Octopus >> this was very good. The octopus was a thick slice and not very chewy. The other flavors were good and we were wishing for a slice of bread to soak up the flavors on the plate Trofie >> was very enjoyable – with a lite curry sauce Palate cleanser >> not noted on the menu – a peach /citrus or something else sorbet and something else – this was actually one of the most interesting and flavorful items and more memorable. It mixed 3 different flavors together and was magical. Tandoori Fried Gulf Drum >> This was good – some exciting more unexpected flavors with perhaps a bit of mint in the chutney The BiG letdown was the “main” Joji Aged Ribey >> it was difficult to focus on the flavors because it was so chewy. Had to work to chew it into pieces. It was served perfectly cooked, just no good flavor and chewy. The best part of this dish are the mushrooms on top. Really they were excellent. Dessert >> Miso Butterscotch Cotta – or something similar – was a chocolate moose of some kind with a wonderful panna cotta – enjoyable but NOT off the charts rich or decadent. The location is nice. It was easy to have a Lyft driver drop off and pickup. When we arrived we were the ONLY people there. As people arrived it was noisier, but never overwhelming. WE did not try other things on their menu. They may be fantastic. Sorry Maypop – we will not be back.

One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Extraordinary culinary experience. The fish was absolutely perfect. Everything was delicious. Great cocktails. Great wine list. Service was excellent. If you're a real foodie, you need to go to Maypop. 100% will be back whenever I'm in town.

Pricey, but GORGEOUS plating of food and complex flavors. Highly recommend the tasting menu as it was a great experience. I'd like to return for their regular menu. Great cocktails too!

The food was good! It was a nice fusion incorporating New Orleans flavor! We got the octopus (highly recommend!), the bread (also highly recommend), and the fish (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!). All of it was delicious and the staff was great. Loves the overall atmosphere of the restaurant and I will indeed return when I am back in New Orleans!

I’m pretty critical of food and not one to give 5 stars easily but this place is SO deserving!! Wow… we did the 5 course menu with wine pairing & the food was insanely delicious. Not one thing was bad. It’s hard to find a place who can do everything so well like Maypop clearly does. Britney was an attentive and friendly server and Nicole was a very knowledgeable & enthusiastic sommelier. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is at the top of my list now when I tell people about where to eat in NOLA. 5 stars+!!

Pleasantly surprised by the variety and creative flavors of this restaurant. Came during happy hour and was able to try several small portions and drinks at a very reasonable price. I would come back just for the spicy wings. The shrimp and lamb entrees were also great. The ambiance is modern and quiet, making it a nice spot for a relaxed date or happy hour spot before a night out.

St James Cheese Company in the Warehouse District is a bustling sandwich shop and market that offers a wide selection of gourmet cheeses such as Brie, blue cheese, Gruyère, cheddar, and exotic varieties from around the world. The owners take pride in their carefully curated inventory which also includes specialty meats and foodie gifts. Visitors can enjoy sandwiches and salads at this popular spot during lunchtime.
One of the best sandwich/salads I’ve ever had. The black and blue sandwich is to die for, beautiful shop and items for purchase.

The Gruyère toasted cheese sandwich (with caramelised onions) was possibly the best sandwich that I have ever eaten. The service was delightful and they have an excellent selection of cheeses to take away. Highly recommended.

They have amazing and fresh ingredients, the salad that I got was delicious and refreshing. It has a charming ambiance and it was very clean.
Carly P — Google review
Top-notch staff. They're hardworking, happy, and motivated. They take initiative, always scanning the room for things they could do, and as a whole the staff works well together as a team. They're cheerful, and exhibit enthusiasm for the products they sell, and they represent products and the establishment well to customers. The sandwich I ordered was the "Clucky" chicken something or other. It was kind of just okay. I feel like the toasted white bread could have been a different choice, and the chicken breast sliced into medallions would have been a better presentation and easier to eat. One kitchen staff member used a rest room and I heard the blow dryer going - so bonus points for cleanliness. I love that. I know it should be a base expectation, but I'm not so sure at other places. I would have given another few more points if anyone had come around to ask how I was doing, but I know - it's a busy place. Maybe there isn't time for conversation. Overall, I'd give the place maybe 4.2 or 4.3 if I could score intervals between 4 and 5. For the owner: no, the Mockly cocktails aren't too sweet to carry in the beverage options. Let customers decide. They're spectacular concoctions for people who don't want to drink alcohol. And they're a LOCAL company. Isn't that your schtick? Support this great company. They need to make it. If you think the product is too sweet, guess what? They're local. You could probably ask them to take it down a notch. Or maybe serve them on ice in a proper cocktail glass.

Fantastic shop. Not just for cheese, although their selection is very nice. Lunch offerings include thoughtfully crafted sandwiches and salads using fresh artisan ingredients in a fun atmosphere. I will definitely be stopping again next time we are in NOLA. YUM!

You know by the smell of cheese that knocks you out as you enter that this is gonna be a good place. My gruyère with added prosciutto sandwich was delicious, and the staff was super friendly. It was busy and a bit noisy at lunch time, but was still able to get a table, they have ample seating. It's on the pricey side for a sandwich and side salad, but I was expecting this because of the area and specialty cheese. I really enjoyed the food and will come back!
Ophelia — Google review
This place was beyond delicious. Amazing cheese, bread, and drinks. I got the Brie and Ham sandwich with a side salad and the tomato basil soup. I wish I could pick what was my favorite part of the meal, but it was all fantastic. Each bite was so perfect in its own way. My lunch date gor their hot mufaletta and it was so tasty. Salty and savory and perfectly toasted. Definitely come give this a try, I know I’ll be making a stop here whenever I’m in NOLA again.
Maryen T — Google review
We wondered in here on our way to the convention center, and I’m so glad we did. The sweet person behind the counter made us a charcuterie board tailored to our personal cheese preferences. It was delicious and an enjoyable snack (which ended up being lunch). They have lots of fun gifts/unique foods. We sat on the couch and enjoyed our cheese, crackers and other snack items while sipping the coffee from next door. I’d come back to try the sandwiches or salads!

Restaurant
Crescent City Steak House, a classic establishment since 1934, is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of New Orleans' culinary and cultural history. The restaurant is renowned for its traditional chophouse fare, particularly its sizzling butter steaks that have been prepared the same way for over 85 years. The old-school ambiance adds to the experience, with scratched wood and private booths creating a nostalgic atmosphere.
Nice upper scale restaurant with real New Orleans charm. The steaks were great, cooked perfectly and the sides were very tasty. Service was wonderful, quick and attentive. Nice wine list and full bar if you want a drink. We stuck to water and soda but maybe next time I'll have a drink and post an update (if I remember lol). If you want a great place to eat and enjoy New Orleans charm (why wouldn't you) this is a great candidate. I suggest a reservation but they do take walk ups as well. To top it off...FREE PARKING IN THEIR PARKING LOT.

Never expected to be in a 90 year old continously family run steak house with our own private booth. Very cool. Took a pic of old bills that were framed on the wall from 1946. Loved the nostalgia. And the porterhouse for 2 was simply delicious

A local gem with old school charm and great steaks. You don’t stay in the restaurant business in New Orleans for 91 years serving subpar food. I had the 15 ounce prime fillet during my most recent visit last month.

Stopped for dinner. Nawlins oldest Steakhouse. Food and service were good. My only complaint is they broil the steaks instead of on a grill.

Heard this place was great for steaks - the cowboy ribeye and filet were phenomenal. The sides were okay, cocktails a bit underwhelming. But service was as good as the steaks!

TY was the best server we have ever had anywhere. We absolutely loved her and she gave excellent recommendations on the menu and was extremely personable. The food was absolutely delicious and you cannot beat the prices for the quality. We can’t recommend this place enough and the story behind the establishment is amazing. It’s definitely worth the short ride from the French Quarter (or anywhere).
Brooke — Google review
Where to start. We found this place from other reviews and either these other reviewers are nuts and have never eaten a meal they didn’t like or the chef (if you dare say chef) was having the worst night of their life. Simply do not eat at this place. We ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. We know it has marbling but this was the cheapest ribeye I have ever seen. The cook clearly broiled the steak on the plate it was served on floating in grease clearly not letting the steak rest and without even a hint of salt or pepper. The house salad was warm and floating in what was most likely wishbone ranch. The asparagus on the salad was absolute mush to the point I wasn’t sure it was asparagus at all. The shoestring fries were clearly cooked 20-30 minutes prior and reheated under a heat lamp and of course no salt. Do your self a favor go to McDonalds - or consider this the first stage of your new fasting diet and skip this place. Just look at the pictures. They say it all. PS. The wine by the glass is an absolute joke.
Scott O — Google review
We've stopped off here for a drink and just fell in love with the place because it's so cute and cozy. The stakes look amazing. We had a cocktail and an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. We decided to come back again on another trip because we were so happy the first time. We were lucky enough to get a little booth with a curtain. We ordered the chateau briand. O yum!! Perfectly prepared absolutely delicious.Fabulous sauces on the side and the price cannot be beat.

5/12/24 EDIT: Since I cant add another review without them making me delete the old one ill just add it here! Soooo we came for Mothers Day and once again the food was DELICIOUS! OMG... the plain fried wings were so spot on with the bacon & cheese fries. My family went CRAZZZY over these appetizers 🤣🤣🤣 we also had blackened fish of the day... Salmon over grits & esparagas. Fried catfish over grits. Fried ribs... the service once again was IMPECCABLE! AMBIANCE WAS ONE FOR THE BOOKS considering it was Mothers Day. Now I'm coming back simply for the wings & fries. Oh... I did have the bread pudding to go. I didn't like it because it was wayyyy too sweet! Others may disagree! But I'm still going back!! Old review: I couldn't find anything wrong with this restaurant! Our family loved it! The ambiance overlooking the golf course. We had fried ribs, gumbo, and blackened drum fish. It was al delicious!! The service was impeccable & restaurant was very clean! Prices are reasonable! 10/10

This was my 1st visit, and the food was great. I was with a party of 9, and everyone was extremely happy with their entrée. There are lovely views of the golf course. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star rating for the atmosphere is that there were flies inside the restaurant that were hovering on the large windows. As soon as they bought our food to the table, they started flying near our food and one flew in my drink, so I had to get another, and cover it with a napkin in between sips. We also had to fan the flies away as we were eating. We made the best of it and still had a great time. I certainly hope they do what's needed to make the dining experience 100.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside as is inside a Golf Course Building. But the food... the food my friends. Delicious seafood gumbo, where all the ingredients were expertly cooked (nothing overcooked or gummy) and thr broth was a sumptuous mouthful. The salmon and oyster appetizers were delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned. And they have the best Key lime pie outside of Key West. The service was friendly and attentive. Just great people. Lexy was fenomenal. Do not hesitate and go. My experience was simply great.

A co-worker recommended your restaurant to me. So this past Friday, my day off from work we decided to have brunch at your restaurant. I must say that once we got in the restaurant we thought it was very cute and we love it. Looking out onto the golf course was very pleasant, but I really can't say the same for my meal. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. It was beautifully presented but the sauce over the Shrimp and Grits was very, very salty, I mean too salty where I couldn't finish the meal. After eating 3 Shrimps with the sauce, I was done. The salt taste lit my palate like a ton of bricks. When I let our server know, she said that she would let the Chef know and she then asked me if I wanted her to remake it for me but it was going to be the same sauce. Now that didn't make any sense because it was still going to be the same salty sauce, nothing different. Since I couldn't finish my meal because it was way too salty, I think she should've taken it off my bill. I was/am very disappointed 😞.
Jo C — Google review
Excellent! The blackened fish had excellent flavor, was cooked perfectly, and served hot with a crunchy-on-the-outside, creamy-on-the-inside grit cake The baby back ribs were also excellent - hot with great flavor mix and meat to bite into. Filling portions. Great value. Best food we've had in new Orleans.
Paula B — Google review
Edit: new location on the edge of a golf course in Gentilly inside of a golf shop– not a bad place to get during normal busy times because it's not too crowded because it's out of the way in a residential neighborhood. Food is good and decently priced salads are uninspiring but other items are good Unassuming place and name. Creative takes on a lot of standard bar fare and local comfort food. Some items are great, some are meh. Salads, Mac and cheese, bisque was good. Shrimp n grits and tuna tacos not so much.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast and lunch experience infused with New Orleans flair, look no further than Welty's Deli and Catering. Nestled on the second floor of Place St. Charles, this hidden gem is renowned for its mouthwatering sandwiches, particularly their famous muffaletta. This iconic sandwich features layers of provolone, salami, gam, and mortadella topped with a zesty homemade olive salad that will tantalize your taste buds.
Went for a Muffaletta and it was the best. Welty’s has moved into a food court on the second floor of the Chase building. Make sure you find it. Friendly service and we walked away happy and with suggestions for places to try next. Closed on the weekend or we would come back both days we have left

Welty's, I know that I've only known you for 2 hours but, I feel like you need to know. I love you. Your Ruben sandwich is no joke. In fact, I almost tapped out with two bites left. But, I persevered. Your Trio Salad will be probably the only roughage that I consume on vacation. It looks fabulous, too. Can't wait for dinner! If it matches in quality, I will be forever yours. I stumbled upon this deli by accident. Located on the second floor of a nondescriptive building you will find this outstanding local deli. The Mufalatta was absolutely off the charts good. The service was excellent and prices were reasonable.

The great reviews are true. Just be aware they are located on the second floor, so when you arrive at the address, you need to go in and up an escalator. The owner greeted me at the till in fine southern form and hospitality. The more you visit in the city you find that the sweet southern sweetness is always accompanied by a dusting of sass. That suites me fine :) The food was fantastic and the side were made in-house. The best was the condiments. Every hot sauce, mustered, and mayo know to man is available in squeeze tube form, as well as trays of pickles, onions, tomato, pickles, etc. Highly recommend. Sincerely, The Man in Pink

I love going to Welty's in Place St Charles during my lunch break. I'm not even a vegetarian but I thoroughly enjoy their veggie sandwiches. Their sandwiches are big and filled to the brim. They also have special hot plates and soups of the day. The best part is they have a "laniappe" bar with more condiments and toppings that you could count. Whether you work downtown or are visiting, you should absolutely go to Welty's at Place St. Charles!

Stopped in to get some greens, stayed for the amazing sandwiches! Excellent service; the workers were all very friendly. Plenty of seating and a comfortable atmosphere. Wish we had a deli like this back home!

Went to this place 3 out of 4 days on a work trip to NOLA. I went because it was so well rated. I was surprised to find it was located in a mini food court of an office building. Wasn't sure I had the right spot. Had the muffaletta on several occasions as well as the yakamein. The muffaletta was much better than ones I had in more famous places. If you need lunch in the French Quater go here. Avoid the over priced, lesser quality of places on the strip. Great service, as well.

Good sandwiches with daily soups and entrees, kind of hidden on the second floor of a shopping center but well worth the trek. Every time we pass through New Orleans we stop here for lunch and are never disappointed.

Great restaurant choice for ppl with restrictive diets and/or health conscious! So many choices and lots of vegan options. Wide open atmosphere with lots of natural lighting, decorated very nicely with greenery and floral accents. Service wasn’t the best, but I think our waitress was overwhelmed, seemed like she had a lot of tables. Lots of seating available and can accommodate large groups. The ancient grain bowl was a definite hit, would definitely recommend that. The edamame dumplings were okay. Glad to have restaurants like this in the city.

9.6.25 came here for the first (and last time) The food was very, very Salty which made it unenjoyable and INEDIBLE. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer. My bf had the turkey burger, and I had the air fried chicken sandwich. The air fried chicken was breaded...and salty. 😔😭 All of these items were just too salty to handle. The building is beautiful and clean, but that's about the only thing that I can rave about. They do offer unique drinks. Skip this place unless you really love salt and sub-par expensive food.

I’m so tired of restaurants giving terrible quality Togo food. I placed an order tonight for 2 burgers; one vegan and the other was the American burger w/o cheese. My food was cold and looked disgusting. I opened the burger to see that cheese was placed on the burger but scraped off. And it was cold! I did not get 3rd party delivery. I called and they were pleasant on the phone and apologized, and offered to give an adjustment bc of their mess up. Instead of them refunding me for the meal (Burger and lettuce (listed as a small “salad”) (~$20)) or even just the burger portion; the adjustment was for $9 and some change stating I wasn’t satisfied w/ the burger. Of course I’m not, I COULD NOT EAT IT!!! I was able to scrape some of the cheese that was still on there off with my finger. So disgusting and disappointing!

The True Food Kitchen in New Orleans is very similar to the one in Dallas but the service and Food quality was not good at all. Both excellent choices, but something was off when I ordered takeout here. It was supposed to be ready at 6pm, but when I arrived they were running behind and I needed to wait. I had to wait 30 minutes, so at 6:30 it was finally ready. The salmon I ordered was overcooked and hard enough to pick up to eat. We were disappointed this time and hope it was a one off and not an every day example of the one in New Orleans.

I am the first person to admit I don’t eat vegetables. I came to try a seasonal pizza I saw in the reviews but it was no longer available. I ended up ordering the ancient grain bowl + steak. Tbh I was thinking about what I would eat later bc I knew I wasn’t going to like my meal. To my surprise I loved it. All the ingredients brought their own layer of texture/ flavor to the dish and they all complimented each other so well! The sweet potatoes added a nice sweet flavor, the char grilled onions and peas added a nice crunchy texture to the dish. The pistachio pesto was semi acidic and packed with enough flavor to season the whole dish perfectly. I did add steak to my bowl (which was not needed) and it was over cooked and tough. Will definitely eat here again.

Almost threw up my burger was so undercooked (ordered medium) fries were cold and weirdly textured. Cheese on burger was unmelted shredded cheese. Multiple wrong orders delivered to table. Waitress was inattentive. Espresso was burnt. Nice atmosphere, very artsy, so many plants that it smells like dirt inside.

Hello. My name is Derrick and I went to True Food Kitchen today was amazing! My burger not well done like I asked, and it was no big, but my sister told the server and next thing I know the manager came out and literally took it off the bill. He told me he believes in making sure his customers are highly satisfied. I couldn’t believe it!! Everyone was so kind and they aimed to please. If I lived in New Orleans, I would be a consistent lifetime customer! It’s also very beautiful and really clean there. They get five stars all across the board for me!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tito's Ceviche & Pisco is a charming bistro that offers an upscale-casual setting with terrace seating, serving up traditional Peruvian dishes and pisco cocktails. Chef Juan Lock pays homage to his Peruvian roots by curating a menu filled with love and fresh, local ingredients. The star of the show is the ceviche, featuring various seafood options.
This place is darling and the food is fabulous. We had an impromptu dinner of several ceviches and small plates. Very impressed with the quality and the presentations. I am not much of a meat-eater, but the beef skewers (anticichos on the menu) were delicious. If I lived here, I’d go all the time. So good! Also: great decor for your favorite llama llover! 🦙❤️

Tito’s is a gem of a Peruvian restaurant, located in the former historic St Charles Tavern on St Charles Ave. They have transformed it into a beautiful quaint restaurant on the bottom floor with an event space on the second floor. I started with the Pisco Sour cocktail that was delicious, very authentic! My main was the Pollo Saltado which was amazing! . The chicken , sauce, and crispy potatoes were everything! For dessert I had the traditional SUSPIRO LIMEÑO, a Creamy dulce de leche custard topped with meringue. I paired it with their Tequila Carajillo( also available with Pisco) They have a wide selection of Pisco and Pisco infusions with a variety of fruits and chiles. My whole experience was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable . Thank you to Tatiana and Maravillosa for a wonderful experience ! Can’t wait to go back and try more authentic dishes!

We had such a fabulous experience at Tito's! I have been wanting to go and we finally got over there for lunch. It was delicious! The restaurant is so very Peruvian and cute, down to the llamas on the curtains. Our server, Amazing (her name!), was truly amazing and very friendly, speaking with us about her home in Peru. We each got a classic pisco sour, exactly as you would get in Peru. Light, citrusy, and refreshing. We ordered some ceviche, which was very fresh and super flavorful. We also ordered the beef skewers, which were very tender and had great spices on them, complemented with some roasted potatoes. The green cilantro garlic sauce they served with everything was to die for, I could have just eaten it by itself. Then we shared the Arroz con Mariscos, similar to a paella. Oh, soooo good! They surprised us with a fabulous coconut and citrus flan for dessert. All the dishes were beautifully presented and expertly executed. We will come back to this place next time we're in New Orleans for sure!

Oh M Gee. I am shocked at how delicious this food is today. And it was to-go (which I hold to a lower standard, as stuff is in boxes and usually not as pretty) well everything was beautiful even in to go boxes! The food was delicious and FRESH. Each bite we took was better than the last. Don't skip on dessert either, it was biggest shocker. I have had flan probably 100 times in my life, never this amazing. I've driven past here 1000 times, never again! Go in, get food, leave happy happy

We came here looking for a wonderful Peruvian meal and we found that plus so much more. We started the night with a shrimp ceviche pair with a raw salmon appetizer with a sweet mango sauce. My entree was an excellent, flavorful and warm spiced seafood soup accompanied by Peruvian beans as a side. The soup contained mussels, shrimp, scallions, octopus and calamari and was warm, herbal and filling. My wonderful date had the braised lamb and they do NOT skimp with the portions. The meat and sauce were delicious with the meat falling straight off of the bone. Francy was DARLING. She was attentive, had the excellent suggestion to combine appetizers, and served us with a smile. We finished off the night with a to die for dessert called "the sigh of lima" where it was a cup of dulce de Leche, with whipped cream and cinnamon. It was light, fluffy and such a sweet note to end a lovely meal on.

I love Peruvian food! To be fair, I lived in Peru for a little bit, but there’s a reason they won global awards! It’s a lovely space and they have it decorated for Halloween! The menu is full of the Peruvian classics with a small southern twist. I got Ají de Gallina and it was sooo good not spicy at all and they added a sprinkle of cheese and pralines on top. Accompanied by a maracuya (passion fruit) juice… yum! All fair prices. Very nice staff! Right next to a cable car stop too. Terrific!

This is a 5 star experience, the food is amazing, rich in flavor and the portions are more than enough to leave satisfied. The place has a nice aesthetic. The waiter was really nice and the food came in quickly.

We made reservations for my birthday. Everything about this gem was exceptional - the ambiance, staff (Christian guided us through the menu), and food! We chose several small plates, and it's worth saying again that each was exceptional. There is parking in the adjacent lot, and the St. Charles Streetcar stops right in front. Should I ever be in New Orleans again, another visit would be a must!

The cafe is located in the bustling Central Business District and is known for its vibrant and nutritious plant-based menu.
Husband had the Smokey the Bear and Greek Goddess, and the juice was out of this world - so fresh and clean. I had the Root juice and Mexican salad, both very fresh and delish. Extra points for the great play list! Will definitely be back.

Stopped here during our annual reunion trip and the atmosphere was easy and stressfree. The available tables were clean and well lit. The menus are easy to read and the staff was knowledgeable. One thing I didnt know was they are a NO CASH establishment, card only. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a great amount compared to cost. Afterwards you bus your own table and leave feeling lighter and with more energy. My 7yr old loved the bowl and the smoothie.
Shawnna L — Google review
Great little hit of freshness amongst the meaty grease of LA state capital. The Daily Beet specialises in health foods as well as vegan and veggie offerings. The menu is well thought out and accommodated well to our group which included a celiac, veggies and vegans- which is a big ask in the culture here! Nonetheless, the food was fresh and delicious and there was a plethora of offerings for everyone. Many of the non-vegan menu items had a “make it vegan option” whereby ingredients such as egg were swapped for tofu. Prices are reasonable- I had a breakfast burrito accompanied by a rather expensive cookie ($10, similar price to the burrito!) and a cream soda. Being close to the superdome, this would be a great spot for game day bites or before watching Taylor Swift perform her 3 hour set list on the eras tour.
Max R — Google review
What a gem, to eat there before a game or show at the dome or the SK Center, or any day. Great as well to take out and enjoy at home, I even grabbed snacks for my flight few days later. Juices are yummy, smoothies as well, the kind of place you can go every day for breakfast.

This was one of my favorite breakfast places in NOLA. Great healthy options-including plant-based. I had a pitaya bowl and it was so good with the fresh fruit and natural sweetness. Nice atmosphere because it is a quiet place. The staff were friendly.

Great spot/location was able to find a parking spot on the street. A nice variety of dishes priced well and enough food for seconds. Good atmosphere and overall vibe. Music was a little loud although I loved the mellow choice even though I didn’t recognize the artist or song. Their sign asking you to bus your own table may offend someone but if you’ve been raised right you’ll be alright with it. It’s like eating over a friends- no one messing with you or helping you unless you ask for it I guess. These beets are delish- the Rainbow 🌈 is delicious period.

Perfect spot for a fresh meal or smoothie. Food was quite filling. Atmosphere is bright and open. Coffee shop vibes. Not many outlets for laptops so I wouldn’t recommend staying long to get work done, but it’s ideal for a lunch break. Service was friendly and informative. The employees were very knowledgeable of their menu and offered substitution recommendations based on my flavor profile and dietary needs. Flavor was 100% excellent. I ordered the Longevity bowl, subbed quinoa for wild rice, nixed the goat cheese, and added avocado and tofu. Their tofu has amazing flavor and delightful texture. My stepmom ordered the PB&J smoothie, which she really enjoyed. I appreciate their environmentally conscious water station which features glass jars instead of plastic cups. Will definitely come back next time I’m in New Orleans!

The cozy bungalow setting features a spacious porch and a pet-friendly patio where you can relax with your pup while enjoying cocktails or waiting for your takeout order. The staff provides excellent service and warm greetings to regulars and newcomers alike.
Ate here on Saturday morning, it was busy, but we were seated promptly. Water's and silverware were brought immediately. Our server, "Angie"(I think that was her name), was spot on and super friendly. The food was delicious. I will be back again. It was fantastic! Oh, we came back on Sunday, even busier than yesterday! Bad experience at another local restaurant. We came here. Again, fantastic service.
Joie T — Google review
I’ve been wanting to dine at Cafe Navarre for a really long time and finally got the chance on a weekday morning. It’s street parking only but I found a park easily. I imagine it would have been more of a challenge on the weekend. When we entered, we were able to sit wherever we wanted and chose a table in the elevated section of the restaurant. The biscuit was sliced open, buttered, grilled and most importantly, it was on point! I wasn’t a fan of the grits but the other guest loved them. The omelet was decent, maybe slightly overcooked, but had good flavor. I’m definitely glad that I tried this place, but think there are better options around.

Stopped in on a Sunday at noon. Self seat, ordered a fully dressed roast beef poboy and cheese and gravy fries that I added hot sauce and ketchup to, and a root beer. Was pretty good, I’d go back. I sat outside, where they have fans so it wasn’t horribly hot. Very dog friendly and a lot of kids also, while I was there. Nice little neighbor joint

A true neighborhood restaurant! This adorable Cafe is the perfect place to get great food with great service. The staff know the menu and give great recommendations. They also know their customers, I over heard so many warm greetings and catching up after travels. The food was very good! I got the pest chicken sandwich and my partner got the turkey avocado. Both were great and the sweet potato fries are so good! We also got a bowl of their shrimp corn chowder, a little heat and lots of shrimp! I can't wait to go back for breakfast or the happy hour soon! Street parking is free and can be a little hard to find during busy hours.

We had breakfast and bloody marys, which were delicious. The biscuits are so light and fluffy. The bourbon caramel pancakes were decadent. The only issue was that we ordered cheese and jalapeño grits and we got grilled onions instead of jalapeño. They were really good and we ate them anyway so we didn't complain about it. There was about a 15-20 minute wait for a table at 10:30 am.

We make a yearly pilgrimage to New Orleans that mostly centers around where we are going to eat and this one has been on my list for a long time and somehow we never get to it. Finally made it here last night and I understand the hype. Everything was ordered was so interesting and flavorful. Our waiter even convinced us to try the pigs knuckles which were surprisingly tasty! (if I didn't think to hard about what they are) Love the low key, friendly vibe. The table next to us was insanely loud which made it hard to hear but that's not really the restaurant's fault. Will definitely be back to try more things!

Some of the tastiest food I’ve had. This place is a must visit in NOLA. This casual grill mixes southern style food with southeast Asian spices and flavours, and is a real treat. The cocktails and organic wines are carefully curated and compiled the food perfectly.

A quaint little place that can be mistaken for a home if not for the signboards. This is a Southeast Asian fusion restaurant. We had the Hot Fried Louisiana Catfish and the Crab and Peaches. The Catfish was excellent especially with the Asian inspired saucy thing. The Crab and Peaches wasn't that impressive though.

A fun and exciting blend of flavors! The cornbread- GET IT! It’s some of the best I’ve had- it’s light, not too salty, kinda sweet bc of the sauce drizzled on top and it seems like it was pan fried in a heavenly amount of butter.

The food here is always excellent and the service is super quick. The 1st thing you'll notice when entering Marjie's Grill is the most wonderful aroma of ACTUAL grilling and smoking taking place. This charming eatery boasts a traditional white-tablecloth setting that may seem understated at first glance, but it’s rich with local flavor and character. The menu features an enticing mix of seafood and prime steaks, including signature dishes like seafood gumbo and flash-fried oysters that reflect New Orleans' culinary heritage.
We recently enjoyed a truly great dining experience at the Steak Knife Restaurant. The menu is simple and the steaks are memorable. Our server Brett could not have been more accommodating as are all of the other long term employees. The food here is consistently great and the management was attentive to our every needs. This long established restaurant has a spacious dining room that is acoustically pleasant. The tables are not crowded on top of each other like a lot of other venues. A normal conversation can be had without straining to hear. Once you spend an evening ar the Steak Knife you will be returning again and again. Don't forget to finish off your visit with their famous Brandy Alexander Freeze... it's delectable.

It is easy to forget the Steak Knife amidst the other, newer spots along Harrison (and no visibility in the online reservation apps). That is a shame. We had a lovely dinner here last night. The service was perfect. The atmosphere including the live piano was really nice. And we snagged a reservation for 5 on 15 minutes’ notice on a Friday night. My steak was just a bit over cooked but solid nonetheless. Apps and desserts were very tasty. I left wondering why we had waited so long since our last visit here. Won’t make that mistake again.

0 Stars! Terrible owner. I booked a party for 22 for a dance for a certain menu. He confirmed it himself twice with me. And his employee called two days ago to confirm the menu which included a salad, steak/fish and dessert. The kids were told dessert wasn't included. When I called the owner was very rude! He didn't even try to fix it!

I know they have a die-hard following, and I finally got to go there after hearing people talk about it for decades. The most obvious feature is the katywompus dining room floor, no one ever mentioned that. 🤷‍♂️. Chairs and tables aren't even close to level. Food, drinks, and service were decent, but nothing extraordinary. The remoulade was not at all to my liking, just tasted like french mustard.

I wasn’t even hungry the other night — and you know how that is — but I sat down at The Steak Knife on Harrison Avenue anyway. I’m so glad I did. That steak? The servings are so large that a meal for two can easily feed six people.
What a great place!! This place has been a well-known local gem since 1965. Huge potions of some of the best local tasting fare. The motto: “Be nice or leave” & “Ladies invited”. You will not, simply will not, be disappointed with a visit to Rocky & Carlo’s!
Jeff W — Google review
The hype over the mac and cheese is way overboard. It’s not that special. It’s not a creamy mac and cheese but more on the dry side needing gravy on it. I ordered the hamburger steak with the aforementioned. As others mentioned, the ground meat lacks flavor. It needs plenty help in the seasoning department. Though I did very much enjoy the grilled onion topping and the brown gravy that covered both. The portions are enough for more than one person. Portion size doesn’t take the place to flavor. .

I was in New Orleans to check out a shooting range I had seen on YouTube Neutral Ground Gun Company (@neutralgroundguncompany) and after the visit asked for recommendations on local fare. Being allergic to shellfish (and it is Crawfish season) they pointed me to Rocky and Carlos, a local establishment that has been there over 50 years. Well, I made my way over to them and I’m glad I did. It’s a quaint spot with lots of parking (around back) and a cool diner vibe inside. They have a really nice hot food counter, but I was told I had to order the “Beef Sandwich, Dressed”. I did as I was told. Boy am I glad I did!! I got a huge sandwich on a po’boy roll with some very flavorful beef and gravy. The dressed part was tomatoes, lettuce and not sure what else but it was awesome. I am glad they had napkin dispensers on the table because I used enough to cause a paper shortage. It was SO messy and SO good. After finishing half I had to stop to take the other half back to the hotel. I was told the Veal Parmigiana was the special Thursdays and so I will be back then. Everything looked and smelled so good. The dining room was spotless and the employees seemed happy and friendly. When in New Orleans area this place is worth the trip! and to top it off “ Ladies Invited”

Healthy and delicious breakfast options! I visited the Daily Beet after attending a workout session at F45 which is right next to this location. The place has a chill ambience and offers a wide variety of breakfast items and smoothies. My wife and I decided for a Breakfast burrito and an Avocado Toast. Both were amazing. You can tell the ingredients were fresh. The burrito comes with egg, avocado, black beans and cheese all wrapped in a spinach tortilla. The side mild salsa is delicious. I had to ask for an extra. For the avocado toast, it was simple, but again, super fresh. We asked for a side of smoked salmon to top it off. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because I also wanted a coffee but they did not have an espresso machine.

City Greens, located in New Orleans and Elmwood, offers a convenient spot for those seeking a quick and nutritious meal. Customers have praised the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of options available. The ambiance is described as pleasant, making it a great choice for a fast food place. Some highlights include the Thai peanut shrimp wrap and southwest salad with added boiled eggs, both receiving positive feedback for their flavors. Overall, City Greens is recognized as a nice healthy option with fresh offerings ready upon arrival.
City Greens was a nice healthy option. Everything was fresh and my order was ready ehen I arrived.

I ordered a Thai Peanut Shrimp Wrap with romaine lettuce through Uber Eats, but there wasn’t a single shrimp in it, and it was stuffed with spinach, cucumbers, and carrots instead. This experience was very frustrating, and I won’t be ordering from this place again!

Tried for the first and last time today. Salad with chicken had literally 4 small cubes of chicken and so little everything else it was hardly more than a spinach dump. Who wants to eat that? Also got a wrap that we ordered with light sauce and came out dripping..literally drenched. So disappointed. Would love a response.

Honestly disappointed with my meal. I paid a lot of money for a very bland salad. $20 for a salad and a can drink in a quick service joint is not worth it. Ordered the southwest salad and added chicken. I dont think there was any seasoning in the dressing or the chicken. Chicken was so white i thought it was tofu…

This place can’t get an order right. Their salads are delicious in the rare cases when they’re made right, but they have a huge problem with dressing. If you order it on the salad, it comes out soaked in dressing and basically inedible. If you order dressing on the side they leave out the dressing half the time, so if you get it to go or for delivery, you’re totally out of luck. They also often leave something out of the salad that’s listed as an ingredient, usually avocado. Their salads are like $18 and it’s ridiculous that they’re made wrong, critically wrong, most of the time.

Shrimp tasted unseasoned and my husband said the chicken tasted like it came out of a can. The cookie was 9/10.

Today is the second time I ordered on a Saturday and the lettuce was rotten. I ordered medium dressing and there's so much dressing that this coupled with the wilted lettuce turned the salad into mush! It is completely inedible and not at all like it is when I order during the week. My receipt says Ryan D was my server. I threw the entire salad away. My order was also 20 minutes late.

First time ordering and wondering why, since I have been missing out! I ordered a Thai peanut shrimp wrap and southwest salad. I didn’t love the texture of the shrimp but overall not bad. But the southwest salad was FABULOUS! I added boiled eggs and it was delicious. The lettuce and avocado were both fresh. I’ll reorder again soon.

Salad Station is a must-visit chain for salad lovers. They offer a variety of dairy-free dressings and a wide range of toppings to choose from. Their catering service is praised for its fresh and delicious food, which was enjoyed by everyone at the office. The owner personally delivered the order and went above and beyond by setting everything up in the conference room. They were even willing to accommodate a last-minute request to deliver the order earlier than planned.
A dining experience is comprised of two major parts - the quality of food and the quality of service. The Salad Station on Magazine Street delivers quality in both areas. The produce is fresh and full and the staff is very kind. Jordan and Tony are especially friendly. It is refreshing to have a healthy meal with a smile in the city!

We ate here a few times when we were in town for work. It was a short walk from our hotel, and it was so handy to be able to preorder through the app for a quick pick-up (just walk past the line towards the back of the store for preorders). Their salads and wraps are large, satisfying and a good value. I loved their southwest salad with the fajita chicken. It can get busy at lunch, though, with the line moving somewhat slowly because they have such a large selection of toppings & people are choosing their own ingredients. Overall very impressed with Salad Station. I wish we had an affordable spot like this to get fresh salads back home!

What a breath of fresh air in New Orleans! My insides were all gummed up from eating all this traveling road food. I was thrilled to get a chopped salad to clean me out and get me back on track! The place is clean and the food is fresh and worth it!

My husband & I went to this salad station for lunch today & it was so clean!! The food looks so fresh & the manager Tony was truly a sweetheart. He made us feel special and gave great customer service! As someone who works in this industry, it makes me happy to have good service my way! :) 10 out of 10 would recommend!

My number one place to go for a quick lunch. Absolutely love the staff. Always so kind and welcoming. The food is always fresh and that lemonade is chef’s kiss!!!!
Priscilla B — Google review
I'm giving this place 2 stars for the following reason. It's a build your own salad place. I walk in and I build MY OWN salad. The employee then weighs my salad which comes to 11$ but then the computer screen asks me for a tip. Wtf I did the work so if anyone should get tipped it's myself. At Subway they make the sandwich for you so when there screen asks for a tip I don't mind leaving a little tip, but it's not fair to ask me to tip you when you did nothing at all.

Tony was so personable and gave me great customer service. I will defiantly be returning ❤️
