American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Surrey's Café & Juice Bar is a vibrant spot that serves American and Latin breakfast and lunch options alongside freshly squeezed juices. Located in NOLA's Garden District, this cafe prides itself on offering comforting and delicious food made with house-made and locally-sourced ingredients. The menu features classics like Bananas Foster French Toast as well as fresh juices made from kale, carrots, apples, pineapples, grapefruit, and ginger.
Visited on a Monday for breakfast. The food was all really fantastic. We got the old-fashioned oatmeal, banana foster french toast, creole country meat and egg plate, and their fresh grapefruit juice and strawberry lemonade. I highly recommend the juices, first and foremost. They were both very good. The meat and egg plate was super flavorful and filling, and my wife loved her french toast treat. We left full and satisfied after one of our best breakfasts in NOLA. Be aware however that the day we visited they were cash only. Best to plan accordingly.

Service was great. If you love sugar and sweets the French toast is definitely for you. The serving sizes are good. I enjoyed the eggs and grits. There was no wait when we got there but by the time we left it was a line outside.
Jeanea — Google review
One of the best meals I have ever had. The staff was amazing. The wait wasn’t too bad. It is a smaller location but adds to a very lax vibe that they have going on. Love the art available inside as well. I am not typically a shrimp & grits person, but this honestly may have been the most flavor I have had in a meal. The bacon added to it was just icing on the cake. Paired with a very unique stuffed bananas foster French toast. It was one of the best variations of a bananas foster I have had and I may or may not have made an audible noise as I ate it. One of the servers walked by and just went “I heard that” not even realizing I had done it. I couldn’t recommend this location enough. Come early to try and get a spot. If you find yourself on the waiting list, it is so worth sticking around to be seated. Plan on coming back every time I am back in New Orleans

This restaurant came highly recommended by my hotel. The shrimp and grits were to die for!!!! The coffee was great and the originally blended orange and mango juice was wonderful. Definitely will be visiting this gem when I’m back in New Orleans! Thumbs up to Club Wyndham for the awesome recommendation.

Amazing food....12 outta 10 delicious 😋. The place is very small and there will be a wait, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Staff was very nice service was fast and food amazing. There are art pieces covering the walls that are for purchase that were beautiful. Go, you won't regret it!!!! Oh yeah the fresh juice was amazing as well.
Detra F — Google review
I found this place when I was googling directions to the zoo and decided to stop for a late breakfast. We parked on the side street pretty close to the restaurant. We were seated immediately, and the service was great! The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. The restaurant was also very cute and unique.
Maria Y — Google review
Very small space. The food was decent but not delicious. The way the Shrimps & Grits looked, I really expected it to be amazing. I think I fell into the Tiktok hype and got disappointed. Overall, we only could give it a 5/10
Wayne B — Google review
The hostess and waitress were amazing. Very kind and welcoming. The shrimp and grits OMG!!!!! 10/10 but honestly the rating is higher! The grits were creamy and buttery and the shrimp was cooked to perfection! I’m still thinking about this meal! Shout out to the chef!

Bar
French restaurant
Luke is a French and German brasserie in New Orleans known for its elegant atmosphere, bar, and house brews. The restaurant offers an impressive selection of raw towers, including a smaller seafood plateau with oysters, boiled shrimp, tuna tartare, and smoked trout dip. Additionally, they have a grand tower featuring Maine lobster, more oysters and shrimp, and clams.
Cannot say enough about this place. The Google maps information doesn't do it justice. Very prompt seating and outstanding service. Can't remember a group of friendlier people attending me in a restaurant. They were very patient in explaining the dishes and time expectations. I happened to go during happy hour and had just the best time. Fantastic value on the drinks that were also beautifully served even for a happy hour. The food was amazing too and provided the flavors I was looking for when visiting the city. Can't wait to go back.

Made reservations on a Monday night , the place was pretty busy. Had a waiter that named Paul that initially gave me an attitude when I asked to have a drink made a certain way which is the reason for the loss of a star. We had the brussel sprouts, bread , pork belly , and some oysters. Plus dessert. The food was all very good. The bread was just a loaf of very plain bread but the brussel sprouts were amazing and so was the pork belly. My fiance loved the oysters and the desserts, which was basically a s'mores cake. She absolutely loved it. Also the drinks did come out pretty good. I would say this is a place you should visit if your around.
Mike D — Google review
Had a variety of oysters, the Leidenheimer loaf, the smoked trout dip, blue corn and crab bisque, and the pork schnitzel. All of the food was good, but I felt the value was all over the board. The oysters were fairly priced, as was the trout dip which was a generous portion. Service was adequate. I expect more attention to detail when dining in this type of restaurant. When we run out of accoutrements before the dish has been finished, we should be offered more. I do not mind team service, however, I think too much was overlooked because of it. The ambience is loud. Unfortunately, we were seated near the kitchen, and when it's a full house, it's challenging to hear each other.

OMG - EVERYTHING on this menu is amazing! The folks who work there Are so helpful, kind and knowledgeable! Menu and drink selections recommendations every thing you could possibly ask them they are wonderfully helpful helpful. I understand why because they work in a great place and the food in the atmosphere and the camaraderie among the staff is amazing. I would work there. Thank you!

I came here with two friends during my first trip to New Orleans. Our waiter was wonderful — such a kind, polite young man who made us feel welcome right away. I ordered a cup of gumbo, and it was delicious. The flavor was rich and seasoned perfectly, and I was impressed by how much meat was in it. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ended. My friends ordered the BBQ oysters, and they were honestly not good at all. When we first sat down, we asked the host if they had chargrilled oysters — you know, the kind that come out sizzling with butter, garlic, and parmesan on top. He said their oysters were amazing, so we decided to try them. When the plate came out, there were only four oysters, and no one mentioned how many came in an order. That was surprising and a bit disappointing. But the real issue was the taste — the topping had a strange, smoky, burnt barbecue flavor mixed with breadcrumbs that just didn’t work. It was overpowering and completely took away from the taste of the oyster itself. Overall, the service and gumbo were great, but the oysters were a total miss. Maybe some people like that flavor, but it just wasn’t for us. An honest deuces

Escargot and bone marrow, oysters, duck for the main. All were excellent. Bread pudding for dessert... highly recommend you just copy this order. Papa Doc was a great cocktail too. Our dual servers had some issues with keeping drink orders correct and forgot a few too, but that was really the only downside. Beautiful spot, lively atmosphere. Will return when I return to NOLA!
Jonathan S — Google review
Came by for lunch since it was across our hotel. Ordered the Beet salad with added blue crab, gumbo and shrimp and grits. Presentation and taste was ok but forgettable. Price was on the high side for the quality of food. Plates could have been warmer…
Grace L — Google review
The atmosphere is cool the service was attentive without hovering over you. The food is okay. I only had dozen oysters they were good but nothing to write home about... My buddy got a burger said it was over cooked and dry his exact words were what a boring burger...I have to tip my hat to acme they have fresher oysters and they are litter on the pockets.

Brunch restaurant
Atchafalaya, located in the Irish Channel of New Orleans, is a charming restaurant offering a blend of upscale and homey cooking. With a history dating back almost a century, the current owners have transformed it into an elegant venue serving rustic New Orleanian cuisine. Open for brunch and dinner throughout the week, Atchafalaya's brunch is particularly renowned for its inventive contemporary creole dishes.
The establishment itself is very quaint. Once you enter it has a warm, welcoming ambiance that is comfortable, artistic, and calming. The candle light mixed with the elegant table sets are amazing. Add to that the intricate placement of different dining areas. The food was amazing, we tried the Shrimp and Grits along with the Castella Family chicken. We had the corn & crab bisque soup for the starter. All of the food was delicious and well-prepared. I saw earlier reviews of bad customer service. This was NOT the case for us! The gentleman that welcomed us was kind! The hostess was kind as she seated us! And our service person (Clay) was knowledgeable, considerate, kind, fast, efficient, and thoughtful. We never had to ask for refills, he recommended awesome options. The service was 5-star quality. This is a must try stop for anyone in New Orleans!
Dominant D — Google review
Atchafalaya was our very first stop in New Orleans. We went straight from the airport, and my only regret is not making a return trip before we left town. This place set the culinary bar high for the rest of our trip! I loved that it’s tucked away from the downtown bustle; it felt like a true neighborhood gem. The gumbo and the shrimp and grits were both hands down the best versions of those dishes we had anywhere in the city. The service was world-class: warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. An absolute must-visit that lives up to the hype! We’ll be back next time we’re in NOLA.

My wife and I walked in for Sunday brunch. We did not have a reservation. It was early afternoon so the wait was not long. We sat at the bar with Ryan and had one of the best brunch experiences in quite some time. The cocktail/wine menu is top notch. Ryan is the bar manager as well, so he curated and created the cocktails on the menu. We had a Good Morning Vietnam bloody mary, a Spanish g & t, and a bubbles and butter. All of them well balanced and delicious. For food we went with Ryan's suggestions of shrimp and grits and the duck hash....so good! I had a cup of gumbo as well, also excellent. We topped off the decadence with a blue cheese panna cotta, don't let the blue cheese scare you, it was ridiculous. We were visiting from AZ but will be back for sure! Highly highly recommend. Oh! One of the very patient and lovely staff crafted a perfect traditional macchiato for me as well :) above and beyond

We arrived for our Saturday brunch reservation about an hour early after a 5 hour drive from Birmingham, AL. When we checked in, we were offered a table at the bar if we didn't want to wait for a dining room table to open. We were seated in about 15 minutes. The service was great from the minute we walked in the door! After doing a little research on Atchafalaya, I realized that the owner Rachael was from Bolton, MA which boarders the small town of Clinton, MA where I grew up. When she stopped by our table to check on us, we had a great conversation about our home towns. She was very friendly. I ordered Tuscan eggs and my wife ordered the special of the day which was a breakfast Quiche and a side of cream cheese grits. We also ordered a boudin sausage to split. For drinks, we ordered a bubbles & butter and a espresso martini. We also ordered a tres leches bread pudding to take back to the hotel after brunch. The food was "out of this world" delicious and very memorable! The boudin was the best I've had. Atchafalaya will be a "must eat there" stop for us every time we return to New Orleans!

My husband and I took a quick trip to New Orleans and wanted to find somewhere really good for dinner. We found this place and it was SO SO good. He got the shrimp and grits and I got red fish. We shared a gumbo also. The atmosphere, service, and food was an 11/10. Go try it!
Somer D — Google review
Amazing neighborhood restaurant that was one of the best dining experiences on this recent trip to NO. The care and warm hospitality was something I haven’t felt in any restaurant anywhere in quite sometime. Food was original and delicious. A must when coming to town. The experience was excellent. Can’t wait to return again. The chef was even walking around dropping food to guests. That’s a team effort!
Darren C — Google review
Me and my friends didn't have reservations, casually hoping to get seats for four. Even after lunch service had ended the staff got us seats. They had some of the best food I had in Louisiana. The shrimp and grits were immaculate.
Zack A — Google review
A wonderful dining experience! Our host was very accommodating and welcoming. Our server, Harold, was friendly and did an excellent job at making us feel at home. My husband and I ordered the fried oysters, a cup of their gumbo, the gulf fish, and the shrimp and grits. We even made room for their bread pudding. Everything was delicious! P.S. - If you are not consuming alcohol, they also provide you with a mocktail menu.

Bistro
New American restaurant
La Petite Grocery is a charming restaurant located in a century-old corner cottage in Uptown, New Orleans. The building has a rich history, having served as a grocery store, butcher shop, and floral studio before becoming a restaurant in 2004. Chef Justin Devillier's creative take on New Orleans classics has earned him recognition from the James Beard Foundation and New Orleans Magazine.
What a special place. This lovely restaurant is in a great part of New Orleans. The experience and atmosphere was very peaceful and delicious. I had one of THE best burgers I’ve ever had. Top 5 for sure! My hubby had the rib tips, which were so tender and delish. We also had the crab beignets, a signature appetizer. Excellent! The gnocchi was also an amazing appetizer! So tasty and savory and the shrimp and grits., fabu! We visited the restaurant for my friend’s birthday and were pleasantly surprised by a delicious dessert sorbet. They made an amazing whiskey based cocktail, Bee Hive and a mocktail , Tropical Flip. The staff was amazing, attentive and professional. A fantastic experience and meal! Thank you La Petite Grocery!

Innovative yet comforting, this restaurant is a must-visit for foodies craving a one-of-a-kind dining adventure. The dishes were flawless, bursting with bold flavors and showcased with stunning presentation. Service was excellent. Definitely a place that I needs to revisit.

Eat, drink and be Merry here! We had the most unique and delicious meal. We had a feast with 3 appetizers for the table (ricotta dumplings were my favorite) 4 mains (rabbit was my very favorite) and 5 desserts (butterscotch pudding and the blackberry cheesecake my favorites). A nice cocktail selection, a bottle of wine and two tawny ports. Fabulous service from Lucy the very fun Minnesota gal! Great conversations and people watching! Love it.
Mrs W — Google review
Kind of funny! Looked super cute online. They didn’t actually have a larder, so not what I expected. My meal was delicious, but vibes were kind of weird and I think it was overpriced for both the portions and the service for lunch. Played oldies which was also a weird vibe haha. This feels like they’re targeting an older crowd. I’d imagine in the evening it would be cozier but didn’t love the lunch vibe. A couple funny things. The seats at the bar were too high so you couldn’t scoot yourself all the way in. They put out what they called “mats” which were just stock black towels. Felt like they just didn’t want to clean the bar… weird. They didn’t have purse hooks. They didn’t give me a spoon with my cassoulet. Just some funny service things that felt like just checking a box rather than providing good service. If it was well priced or if portions were bigger I wouldn’t mind, but spending $50 for one person for lunch (2 small appetizers and a non alcoholic shrub soda), I want the details to be a little more up market. This might be harsh, but I feel like they’re skating by with high prices due to past James beard wins. Kind servers and bartenders working with what they’ve got and very delicious small portion food.
Gabi M — Google review
I picked this place for a brunch date. It was good, service was good, food was freshly prepared and tasted good. I probably wouldn’t go back. 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and drinks were $198 before tip for two people. A bit pricey. A small size espresso martini was $15.
Billy T — Google review
Writing this review to acknowledge our wonderful serve from Rainey. I think is the best service of all the restaurants we’ve eaten at in NOLA. I liked the food, but the Blue Crab Beignets were a bit too salty. My Brioche Pan Perdu was good too ( just burnt around edges). I still highly recommend for a mice meal!
Char S — Google review
One of the best restaurants we had the pleasure of trying during our stay in New Orleans! The food was exceptional - the blue crab beignet was so good and is a must order! The beignet had a perfect crisp and the crab was so flavorful. The turtle bolognese and the shrimp and grits were amazing as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server also briefed us on the rich history of the restaurant as it used to be a grocery store. Overall a fantastic place - the food and history makes it worthy visit!

Southern restaurant (US)
Restaurant
Gris-Gris, located in the Lower Garden District, is a 2-level bistro led by acclaimed Chef Eric Cook. The restaurant has garnered attention for its elevated Southern classics and cool ambiance. Chef Cook's culinary expertise shines through in his reimagined local comfort dishes, such as a unique take on chicken and dumplings and a rich, smoky gumbo.
This was my second time here and it did not disappoint once again. We had balcony reservations during a time where rain was possible and they were very accommodating in the event it started to rain. Our waiter was knowledgeable on the specials for the day and made some suggestions. The mimosas were amazing and so was the food. This place is in my top 5 for brunch in NOLA
Ariane M — Google review
No wait time for our reservation for 3 at 7:30 on a Sunday evening. We were seated upstairs at a pub table. Our server was Lindsey M. She was polite and efficient. We asked her opinion on what two appetizers would be best to try since this was our first time here. We had oyster BLT, Flambeaux shrimp and a side of fries. All were pretty good except the fries were a little salty. Lindsey’s knowledge on the menu was insightful and we were definitely glad with the two appetizers she suggested. Sorry no pictures of our appetizers. Our dinners consisted of a Caesar salad with chicken; the chicken was a little salty, Shrimp & Gris-Gris Grits; was told this meal was deliciously spicy & LGD burger with the works- which consisted of avocado, bacon and egg; was told it was good but extremely messy. No dessert for us because we were plenty full. We also didn’t have any cocktails but had 3 liquid death sparkling water. Our bill was about $150.00 not including tip. My suggestion is to look at the menu first because this may not be for everyone.

My wife and I dined at Gris-Gris prior to attending a concert. Upon arrival at approximately 5:15 pm, we received a warm welcome from the front desk staff and were promptly seated upstairs. Our waitress provided exceptional service, demonstrating attentiveness and kindness throughout our meal. We commenced with the chicken and sausage gumbo as an appetizer, which showcased well-balanced flavors and a remarkably silky texture - truly delicious. For our main course, we opted for the fish of the day, swordfish, which we had not previously tried. The dish was expertly prepared, served atop a bed of roasted zucchini and cherry tomatoes. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and its preparation was flawless; we both concurred that it was the finest fish we had ever had. The accompanying vegetables provided a delightful contrast to the rich, buttery flavor of the fish. Additionally, my Old Fashioned cocktail was expertly crafted. Overall, we highly recommend Gris-Gris for its relaxed atmosphere, premium spirits, and outstanding cuisine. By the way, Paul McCartney was amazing as well!
Matt S — Google review
This place is tucked away in a cute area and was pretty lively when we went. We were seated upstairs but not on the balcony. They had tons of seating indoor and outdoors. The server was very nice, although we had to remind him we ordered the gumbo only for him to say “oh you still want that”? Overall, friendly service, super awesome vibe, and would be perfect for a “fancier” dinner or date night out. We split the fish, which definitely was enough of a portion for two people! The food is fantastic, and while kind of expensive for certain dishes, was ultimately worth it. The bar upstairs is very nice too, and we saw lots of single people sitting there so it’s definitely a place you could also chill out alone for a drink/dinner.

Had dinner here the other night. An oh my goodness this place I fantastic the food the service and the atmosphere. We ate on the balcony over looking Magazine street such a wonderful experience service was quick and they seem to know when we needed something. The food was delicious well beyond delicious I had the chicken and dumplings and my wife had shrimp and grits. They were so flavorful that I wanted to come back the next night and eat again. If you are in or going to New Orleans this is a must visit for at least dinner once during your stay and if I lived there I would visit a couple times a month.

The vibe is laid-back but lively — you can sit at the chef’s counter downstairs and watch the kitchen in action or grab a table upstairs with a view over Magazine Street. The food nails that perfect mix of classic and creative Southern cooking. I got the Catfish Po Boy which was very good. The staff makes the place feel genuinely welcoming. It’s the kind of spot you can go for a casual night out or bring friends from out of town to show them some classic NOLA food

Wow wow wow! Went six years ago when it opened and it was good. This time it was great! Mr. B's Bistro is a renowned New Orleans restaurant located in the French Quarter, offering modern Louisiana cuisine in an elegant setting. As part of the Brennan family of restaurants, it boasts signature dishes like the award-winning Gumbo Ya Ya and Worcestershire spiked barbequed shrimp. The Creole bread pudding is a must-try for dessert enthusiasts. Managed by Cindy Brennan, this bistro has become a local favorite and is known for its Sunday Jazz Brunch featuring live music.
This is place is GOOD. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp with grits and those grits were finger lickin good. Perfect seasoning and even better service. Our server, Maggie had to be the star of the show. Excellent service, and was very friendly and welcoming. But as you think you can’t get better than that you can. The live jazz band was the icing on the cake. That music was amazing while eating some authentic Lousiana food. Overall, I would give this place 6 stars but 5 was the max.

We loved the whole experience although I would say the duck spring rolls were just not for us. The goat cheese was just way too over powering, but the sauce it was served with helped me get them down. The bbq shrimp sauce was so good it's crazy though. We enjoyed the free bread and butter while we waited. Bathrooms were very nice as well

The duck spring rolls were delicious and the barbecue shrimp was good too. The sauce was the best part. Table service was in full swing but I was able to find a spot at the bar. The bartenders were great and it was still an experience even while sitting at the bar top. Will definitely be back!

First time in NOLA. We hada a managers meeting this past week. This is the place our company chose to have dinner at. Everything we had wes excellent. 1st time trying Shrimp and Grits. It was really good. But the Duck Springrolls.....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Great staf and atmosphere. Definitely need to go there when I come back.

Oysters were fried lightly to my liking, and grits so rich. Not a fan of the gumbo. Too bland and metallic. I was also never crazy about bbq sauce, but the seasoning of their bbqed shrimp is truly amazing. Shrimps could be fresher though.

Got a recommendation from a random local to check this place out, and boy was it a great lead. He told us to sit at the bar and order the Gumbo Ya Ya and the crab cake. He forgot to add that the BBQ shrimp is the best meal in town. Food was tremendous. The bartender, John, was impeccable. I thought I was in a movie. Food, service, and atmosphere was amazing. I cannot believe this place is only 4.5 stars. The bar is a full five stars. Thank you random local who directed us here. I will definitely be back…and tell everyone I see that they need to eat here.

First of all, Cristina was wonderful such a joy. She gave us so much history about the Brennan family and the restaurant and New Orleans. This restaurant is a gem, fantastic menu options, creative with chef inspired unique options. This is a Restaurant that should be on your list anytime you go to New Orleans, as well as any of the restaurants in the Brennan family. We also learned that emeril Lagasse. Came out of the kitchen at the commander, which is another one of the Brennan restaurants. The drinks are fantastic and their selection of liquor is top shelf. At the end of the meal, don’t forget to ask for the blueberry bourbon sorbet it’s not on the desert menu and it will blow you away. Thank you. We will be back. PS make sure you make a reservation

Antoine's Restaurant, a historic establishment that first opened its doors in 1840, has retained much of its original charm and elegance over the past two centuries. This iconic dining destination in New Orleans offers a taste of old-world French-Creole cuisine and is renowned as the birthplace of the famous Oysters Rockefeller.
What a fantastic dining experience tonight! A big thank you to our server Chuck and his assistant Cal for their amazing service. It was such a pleasure to meet Chef Skeeter and to have him and Chuck sign our cookbook! The food was outstanding. The best oysters around. I recommend the 2-2-2 so you can try them all! The baked Alaska was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I went here while on our honeymoon. I cannot recall the name of our waiter, but he was exceptional. He told us of the history of the restaurant, made great recommendations, and made sure our water glasses were always full. My wife loved her pan seared crab cake dish (below) and we also enjoyed the desserts we shared. My mom went here in the 70s with my grandparents and her brother and told us the food was excellent back then, too. She even has a copy of the paper menus that were entirely in French! Thanks Antoine’s.

What an amazing experience we had! I can’t stop thinking about everything from the history of the building, our amazing service from the dynamic father and daughter team, Murphy and Megan and the food. We came for brunch and had a private room for our large party. We had bottomless mimosas that were made with GOOD French bubbles and never once had to ask for a refill. I had the gumbo and Redfish Amandine. I’m still thinking about it. Every single of or us enjoyed our meals but more so the entire dining experience and stores we were told about the history of the place. I will a million % come back next time I’m in New Orleans!

The restaurants claim to fame is being the founding father of the Oysters Rockefeller. There second claim to fame is being the oldest restaurant in Louisiana. The service provided, was done at a level where you thought you needed to wear a 3-piece suit to dine (most of us had just a shirt, no jacket, and slacks). The ambience is one of a fine dining establishment, with beautiful chandeliers above each table. The food was also expertly prepared, and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the French Quarters area of New Orleans.
Andrew J — Google review
Everything about this restaurant was 10/10 down to the food, drinks, servers, and atmosphere. Our waiter Myles was amazing and made the whole experience one of the best parts of our bachelorette trip. He knew that menu front to back and had the best recommendations when struggling between all the good looking choices. Kyle was also amazing and always checked to see if our table was good or needed anything. I was surprised to see how many Dining room options they had and did not expect this restaurant to be as beautiful as it was. Online photos don’t do it justice. The historical look just gave it the Nola feeling we were looking for. Would recommend this place every time.

From the moment my party of 8 arrived till the meal ended, we were always greeted with great friendly service. We dined in one of the smaller back rooms which was not as lively as the larger front rooms. Food was delicious. Started with 2 of 2 for the charbroiled oyster sampler. Then went with the fillet Oscar which was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Wife had the grilled frut de mare and all was cooked to her liking. The bone-in veal chops were enjoyed by two in our party and said they were awesome. The herbed chicken was also enjoyed by others at the table. Service was friendly and attentive. The decor was very cool.

I am glad to say that I have finally gotten to experience the historic Antoine's restaurant. Unfortunately, some of the finer details were lacking. The gumbo was outstanding, and so was the bread pudding dessert. Our server was prompt, friendly, and took care of everything we needed in a timely and accurate manner. I took a star away for the atmosphere simply because the rooms are large and loud, though we could still carry on a conversation. For the price point of the food, I would have expected a little more. The flavors were on point, but my fish was overcooked, and my husband's lobster dish was exceptionally rich (unbalanced). Some real boosts to the experience would be more comfortable chairs, better food presentation, and a fairer price point for the food.

Antoine’s served the absolute best Espresso Mocktini! My husband and I both got the dinner special which included three courses. The food was delicious but the Tarte Au Peche and Florida Key Like Pie desserts really stole the whole show. Darla was a sweet and attentive server. I would absolutely go again when visiting New Orleans.

Tableau by Dickie Brennan & Co. is a classic French-Creole restaurant located in a 3-story townhouse with an open kitchen and balcony. Chef Ben Thibodeaux carefully crafts the menu, incorporating historical components of Creole cuisine to create authentic dishes. The restaurant offers various dining ambiances, including a courtyard, main dining room, drawing-room lounge, and balcony overlooking Jackson Square.
This restaurant offers a refined dining experience—from the crisp cloth napkins placed gently on your lap to the white tablecloths, fresh silverware with each course, and attentive staff in uniform and ties. A local warned us the service might disappoint, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. We started with flash-fried Brussels sprouts that were perfectly seasoned and crisp. My son ordered a breakfast dish he raved about, while I had a fresh salad topped with generous lump crab meat. My husband enjoyed pork and grits, which came in a hearty portion—much larger than our meals, which were on the smaller side. Their mocktail menu was a delightful surprise, the Bloody Mary was spicy and undrinkable and we ended our meal with dessert sorbet and upside down blueberry dessert. Every detail was well thought out, right down to the filtered water, which was noticeably clean and refreshing. Service was impeccable throughout. While portions vary and the price is around $50 per person, the experience felt worth it. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Our waitress Ashleigh was amazing. Super attentive and answered all our questions. Didn’t rush us at all either. We got the ribeye special and it was the best steak I’ve had. The creme brûlée is huge and easily shareable! Highly recommend!

Absolutely exquisite experience. We had a reservation for the Jazz Brunch. The space is gorgeous, and a jazz trio was playing live music. Delightful! Our table had a view of the courtyard and the open kitchen. Our server, Meg, was incredible. So professional and a real sweetheart! Honestly, the whole staff was terrific and seemed like a family. We each had a cocktail. My friend ordered the Just As Well, I got a Bloody Mary. Both were exceptional. We started with the Blue Crab Fondue. This was a stunner- creamy, crabby heaven. I had the Maison Salad and fell in love with the dressing. So delicious! I also had the Creole French Onion Soup, which was fantastic. My friend loved his Gulf Fish Sandwich. I tried the fries- handout (my favorite) and perfectly salted. We had planned to order dessert, but we were so full. No worries as it is something to look forward to on my next visit.

Five Stars for Tableau – and for James! We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Tableau in New Orleans for my birthday, and let me tell you, it was unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, our server James made us feel like we were being welcomed into a warm, elegant family home. His service struck the perfect balance of professional and personable: attentive without hovering, funny without overstepping, and somehow managing to anticipate our needs before we even knew we had them. Between the three of us, we sampled three appetizers, a soup, a salad, two entrées, and two desserts and James guided us through it all with ease, making great recommendations and making us feel like VIPs every step of the way. The food was absolutely delicious, but the real standout of the night was James. His energy and care elevated the entire experience and made it the highlight of my birthday trip to New Orleans. If you’re visiting the city and want a meal that feels special from start to finish, Tableau is the place — and if you’re lucky enough to get James as your server, you’re in for something truly exceptional.

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant with my husband, daughter, and her boyfriend and we had an amazing time! To start, the hostess, Rashari, was friendly, kind, and courteous. While she was prepping to show us to our table, she acknowledged the next group that came in. (I hate when I arrive at an establishment and I am ignored. At least let me know you see me. Even if you dont seat me!) Anyway, she was great! She showed us to our seats and informed us that our waitress will be with us shortly. While we briefly waited for our waitress to arrive, I noticed the beautiful decor, the soft lighting, and the peaceful music Playlist that played in the background. It was a beautiful setting. Jessica, our waitress, came over and gave us the menu storyline! Her story telling was so, she swayed what we originally wanted to order! I have pictures to show our final choices. Jessica was funny, attentive, and personally, I think she was a mind reader! When we had a need, she just showed up with it! Amazing isn't a big enough word to describe her! She made our visit such a wonderful experience I look forward to a future visit! Ok, now let's talk about the food. The stars of the evening were the entrees. Although we ordered different dishes, we tried each other's dish and the top runners were my redfish (Gulf fish Almondine) and my husband's steak (Brandy Cream Coulotte)! The steak was so good his eyes seem to roll behind his head with ecstasy! My fish was satisfying and seasoned to perfection! We had two desserts, but my favorite was the Blueberry Upside-down Financier! Everything was great! A little warning, the website menu and what are in my pics do not match. We learned that the items will change seasonally, so have an open mind when you arrive and the menu is different from what you may see online.

It's in a great location off of Jackson Square. We stopped in for a quick lunch, had the gumbo and grilled shrimp. The gumbo was first rate, not my favorite of the trip but close. The grilled shrimp were also good.
Joshua R — Google review
To my surprise, the staff kindly accommodated my request to be seated on the balcony, even though the restaurant was quite busy that evening. I really appreciated that extra effort, especially as I was dining alone and sitting at a table in a prime location it made the experience feel very welcoming. I ordered the shrimp and grits with no sausage with a side of lump crab meat, and while everything was beautifully presented and rich in flavour, I realized afterward that I probably should have paired it with something acidic, like a light salad, to balance the richness. I also don’t drink wine anymore, which I suspect would have complemented the dish very nicely. The only minor complaint I have is that, while the shrimp were large and visually stunning, they had a slightly off flavor. Other than that, it was a wonderful meal and overall a great experience. I’d happily return and recommend it to others.

Cafe Amelie is a charming restaurant located in the French Quarter, offering an elegant contemporary Louisiana menu. The highlight of this spot is its lush courtyard with a beautiful fountain, making it a romantic and picturesque dining setting. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining areas, with the historic courtyard being particularly popular for its ambiance.
The food was very delicious! This place was definitely one of our favorites in the area. The flavors in every bite make you wish for more, and the staff was great. The patio is absolutely inviting, surrounded by beautiful plants that make you feel relaxed and at home. Inside, it’s super cozy with lots of paintings that add a warm, artistic touch. Be sure to try the shrimp and grits, they’re mouthwatering! Don’t forget to stop by!

The main reason I came to NOLA this year with my friends was to eat at Cafe Amelie. I must do it each time I visit. When I first visited the establishment years and years ago, I fell in love with the courtyard and the vibe it provided... Especially with the fountain. To my surprise, the restaurant moved and no longer has the beautiful courtyard. However they do have a cute little outdoor area in the back. But it's not the same :/ I hope they re-form in the previous location. Food was great. As always.

This was SOOOO good. I mean we knew going into it it was going to be that way bc they were PACKED on Sunday night. Had the chicken breast entree and it was perfect and they’re reputable for it and for right reasons! Also the spinach artichoke dip was good for appetizer. I missed entree pic and mocktail but mocktail was great too and not like sugary but tasted great.

I’d been wanting to try Café Amelie for a while, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food and service were fantastic from start to finish. The courtyard was beautifully decorated for Halloween, and all the staff were in full clown makeup—it added such a fun, festive touch without taking away from the great dining experience. Food and drinks were both on point. The house special blackberry whiskey cocktail was a standout. The beet salad and BLT were excellent, and the pork sandwich—the cochon—was absolutely loaded with tender, flavorful pork. Perfect mix of charm, creativity, and great food. Definitely worth the wait!

I am still sitting in the restaurant and had to leave a review! The food here is SO GOOD! I wanted some real shrimp and grits as we can’t get it in northern Indiana. It was delicious! Coquette is a trendy and elegant restaurant located in the Garden District of New Orleans. The two-story circa 1880s cottage offers a welcoming vibe with an elegant wooden bar, tin ceiling, and warm glow. Chefs Kristen Essig and Michael Stolzfus excel at creating contemporary Southern cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. The menu features small plates for sharing as well as a five-course blind-tasting menu with wine pairings.
Fabulous experience at Coquette last night! We tried a bunch of dishes and overall enjoyed them a lot. Highlights included: smoke trout roe atop an onion dip with homemade chips, shrimp chitarra pasta (spicy), and the red snapper. The cocktails we tried were also EXCELLENT. Only notes we had were that the apple salad begged for some lettuce for bulk and mouth feel, and the sweet potato pie dessert lacked a crunch to the crust. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Benjamin H — Google review
This was a cozy restaurant with good food and inventive cocktails. The food was good, but felt like it was missing that ‘something’ to bump it to great. The signature cocktails were definitely new and used combos you don’t see elsewhere. The service was okay. The server was nice, but they seemed understaffed for a Friday night. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for dessert to come after ordering. Given the competition in NOLA, there are other places that hit all the boxes.

This restaurant lives up to the hype. It's worth making a reservation and spending an evening here trying different dishes. The bread with fresh butter is a great start. The peach & coppa is an explosion of flavors. The smoky peppers give it a real kick and the sweet peaches and prosciutto balance well. The blue crab gnocchi is delicious. The smoked short ribs are perfectly cooked. We finished with pannacotta and peaches. We loved everything we ordered!
Richard T — Google review
Wow, phenomenal meal! From the inviting atmosphere nestled in the heart of the Garden district to the superb and attentive service to the best part- unbelievable food with a modern twist on American cuisine, Coquette was a great experience. Cocktails were on point and each dish offered a unique flavor. I never had yellowtail carpaccio, but it was delicious. And I never knew I needed an heirloom cucumber salad, but the added tuna provided a necessary, salty balance. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, and the chocolate cake was divine. If you’re looking for a fancy and upscale restaurant regarding district, this is a must.

I love this little gem in the Irish channel. it's a cozy spot, great for a date night or intimate group dinner with 6 people or less. Every drink was great, every dish was delicious! they even have a selection of "mocktails" for those who don't or can't indulge. we will certainly dine here again. I recommend the Smoked Tomato Gazpacho, the Peaches&Coppa, the Ricotta Gnocchi, and the New York Strip which will be cooked to perfection. 👌

Love this spot! Fantastic food, service and wine selection. Perfect recommendations from the “wine guy” and each dish was so well thought through. So glad we added this to our weekend itinerary in New Orleans, Deffinitely a highlight. Would highly recommend and will visit again next time in town.
Rachel N — Google review
When a restaurant has a smaller menu like this I expect every item to be good. I ordered the shrimp risotto which had only two shrimp in the whole dish and was extremely bland. Multiple people at my table got the fish and it was also incredibly bland. The prices are high for what you get. Our server was not very friendly and the service itself was slow… even on a slow night. Wouldn’t recommend.
Lexi S — Google review
We went on a Thursday night, and we had just a great time. The food and drinks are inventive without being pretentious. We're still arguing over whether the peaches and coppa could have been better balanced, but I loved it regardless. The potato-crusted flounder was the best dish we had that whole weekend, when we also ate at GW Fins. The chef even stopped by to ask how we liked the food. What's there to complain about?

Breakfast restaurant
Willa Jean is a retro-chic café and restaurant located in the heart of the city. It is run by Pastry Chef Kelly Fields and Pastry Chef Lisa White, both known for their expertise in Southern-contemporary fare and baked goods. The café offers a wide range of delectable treats, from buttered banana bread to pecan sticky buns that are only available on Sundays.
The food here was so good! I went to Willa Jean for Sunday brunch while visiting New Orleans and it was a 10/10 experience. It’s no wonder that this place always has a bit of a wait time. The staff were friendly and professional, they didn’t make any fuss when we needed to exchange a menu item. Food was so fresh and tasty. Everything that we tried tasted fantastic. I can’t wait to go back. There’s no reservations but you can join the waitlist through their website. I would recommend checking the wait time before you head there so that you don’t have to wait too long to be seated.

Willa Jean in New Orleans is a very nice breakfast spot with a spacious, clean, and inviting atmosphere. I loved the bakery section and the overall vibes of the restaurant. The food was good — I tried the avocado toast and the crab omelet, both of which were enjoyable. The standout for me was the biscuit: perfectly flaky, buttery, and delicious, easily a 10/10. That said, while everything was solid, it wasn’t quite as mind-blowing as I expected based on all the hype. The avocado toast and omelet were tasty but didn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, it’s a great spot for breakfast with quality food and a lovely atmosphere, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a must-visit on a New Orleans trip.

Honestly the best brunch I’ve ever had. Everyone is super pleasant, great atmosphere, and delicious food. Save room for the milk and cookies for sure. Such a treat. The chicken and waffles is AMAZING. Michele was a great waitress!

What a fun experience. After a short wait, we made it to our table. The service was prompt and friendly, and the coffees were on the table in no time. Orders were taken, and food arrived in without much of a wait. The others in the group loved their meals and the chicken and waffles were really great. I struggled with the marshmallows melted on the dish and tried to get around them a bit. The chicken was juicy and the batter really lovely, and the waffle was well toasted with pecans and honey. Nothing much to say that was negative. The dining room is very large, and when it is full, as it often is, it gets loud. But that would be the only critique we could make. Parking, if you need it, is challenging. 4 stars, which, using my definition, means “good place, good value”. So, really check it out when you are in town. There are many great-looking dishes on the menu, and I will be back.

Willa Jean is definitely a new favorite. We went for breakfast while visiting N.O. and everything was amazing. We ordered the waffle, the hangover bowl, and the fried chicken sandwich, and all of it was so flavorful. The vibe is bright and welcoming and the staff was super friendly. They were just perfect, flavorful and not overly sweet. Can’t wait to come back next time!

Boucherie is a cozy restaurant located in a small shotgun house in the Carrollton neighborhood, offering a unique dining experience. Chef Nathanial Zimet's passion for meat and barbecue is evident in the exquisitely prepared cuisine that honors the Cajun boucherie tradition. The restaurant takes pride in sourcing produce and seafood from local farms and fishermen, and everything is made in-house, including smoking, curing, aging, and preparing meats.
My recent meal at Boucherie was absolutely spectacular! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance, our server, Tony, was a true professional, offering excellent recommendations. This is a place where the attention to detail truly shines—every dish was not just delicious but also a work of art. It's a must-visit for a special occasion or anytime you want an unforgettable dining experience.

Full disclosure, I'm a sucker for a great seasonal (fall) tasting menu. I recently visited this neighborhood gem to try their new tasting menu, and was blown away. The staff were warm and hospitable, and the space was cozy and close to home. If you live in the neighborhood you've got to check it out, and it's worth skipping across town if you don't. If you are a wine person, the wine pairings are going to to knock your socks off. Adventurous and funky, while expertly matched to each dish, you are going to try things you've never tried before. The sherry that was paired with the creme brulee deconstructed jelly donut was a lot of fun. The dishes were beautiful and delicious. I think the red snapper over an ajo blanco with black garlic was a stand-out best bite. Creamy, smoky, and complex with the black garlic, I keep thinking back to it. I also really enjoyed the crab cake with pickled crab and caviar creme fraiche. Dessert just didn't miss... all three rounds were total knockouts. Yes, three! :) Do yourself a favor and check it out yourself!

Really great spot for a date! The Friday lunch menu is affordable and delicious. I loved the grilled Caesar salad and BLT. Also the mojo coffee is fantastic! Great service and beautiful interior plus a cute patio.

The food and drinks were top notch and our server was so fun. Great selection of drinks and wine. Ceasar salad was incredible as was the Krispy Kreme bread pudding! My friend got the duck and loved it.

We had brunch and it was amazing. I don’t typically think of this place as a brunch spot but let me tell you it definitely is. Saturday morning with bottomless mimosas and Amazing food is exactly how I like my weekend to start. Alex took care of us like a pro, Rob cooked the house down, & Josh shared his amazing garden…made our day!!! Ty!!

This place is top notch! Perfect for everything from parties, dates, to solo dining! The food and drinks are both refreshing and classic at the same time! Everyone on staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Good vibes all around!

We were visiting New Orleans on a post-cruise stay. Wanted to do something romantic for the wife so I made arrangements to eat at Boucherie. We were staying in the French quarter and rode the cable car out to their location and had a very nice romantic dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. The place is very small. A small dining room inside of a small house and two tables on the front porch and a small patio area. And evening ride down St Charles with Christmas lights and the houses and homes and a very romantic dinner location was excellent. Make a reservation first though as we didn't have one and they scrambled trying to make a place for us. But they did and it was very very nice.

Li'l Dizzy's Cafe is a beloved Treme Creole gem on Esplanade Avenue, serving up hearty breakfasts and flavorful soul food in a cozy setting. Owned by Wayne Baquet of the renowned Baquet family, this no-frills joint has been dishing out authentic Creole cuisine since 1947.
This was without a single doubt, the best food I had during my weekend at New Orleans. We got there and waited in line the second they opened, all of the staff were extremely friendly, efficient, and welcoming. We ordered everything from the smothered pork chops to crab cakes, and everything was so good, the best we’ve ever had. The value for the price was unmatched, we will 100% recommend this restaurant to all of our friends and families!

I heard all about this place before we came online and the reviews were glowing but it was a little out of the way so didn’t add it to the list. But after our swamp tour bus driver who seemed very well versed in New Orleans cuisine (both the good and bad, if any of it truly can be called bad) absolutely raved about this place, we just had to do it. It really does feel like a local neighbourhood gem despite its popularity. It’s quaint and cute and comfortable with friendly smiles greeting you at the door and all through the place. The food was REALLY good. The fried Chicken was absolutely fantastic. Hot, crispy, fresh and doesn’t rely on an extravagant spice mix to make it taste good. It’s the fact that it’s juicy as hell that makes it taste good. The Mac and cheese and potato salad were both great as well. Loved the whole thing and strongly urge you to make the journey out if you’re hesitant like we were.

We decided to check this place out because of all the great reviews, and the food definitely lived up to the hype — big portions and really good flavor. That said, be prepared to wait. There was a long line outside (in the rain, no less), and the lady managing the line ran it like she was ex-military — strict and no-nonsense! Once you finally get inside, there’s another line to order, and then you only get a seat if there’s room. The food made up for a lot of it, but the atmosphere wasn’t the friendliest in my opinion. Overall, worth trying once for the food, but just know what you’re getting into before you go!

We came on a Friday and had the Special Catfish Jourdain with Mac & Cheese and sweet potatoes, also got a gumbo. The food was delicious. The fish was tender, flaky and perfectly fried. The hostess was fun and kept us entertained and informed while we waited in line so we could eat inside with A/C, we did not wait too long and were seated in the upper floor which is very nice. They did have plenty of alternative sitting outside. We parked on the street not too far from the restaurant. Would definitely come back. Wish I would have tried the white beans. ;)

The reviews were right—this is a small, quaint spot with tasty food, but be prepared for a unique setup. It's not a traditional sit-down restaurant. You're assigned a table, order at a register, and the food is served in to-go containers. This is important to know for groups: they couldn't seat our party of 10 together. We ordered a feast: the fried chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, collard greens, and the red fish special. Here's the breakdown: · The Hits: The fried chicken was delicious, though a tad salty for my taste. The red fish special and mac and cheese were great. The star of the show was the drinks—the homemade lemonade and peach iced tea with rum were absolutely fantastic. · The Miss: The collard greens were a letdown. They were mushy and lacked flavor, tasting either overcooked or from a can. Skip these if you visit. They are only open for bunch so be mindful of the time. The line was long when we first arrived but completely non existent after our meal so timing may be a key. They aren’t located too far for the French quarter so definitely worth the trip.

So we were referred to this spot by a local vendor at the Fresh Market who said if we wanted good soul food, this was the spot. He hyped it up real good so we decided to try them out. Now I love good food and want what everybody else eats who's from the area so I assume things will be really good. I checked the reviews online and looked at the pictures and thought it would turn out to be a good experience. While on the way, we saw a group of people on the sidewalk so we knew it was going to be a wait and for a quick second, I was excited to try them. We walked up and sure enough it was a group of about 5-6 waiting for a seat in front of us but we only needed a table for two. The young lady at the door told us it was a little wait but she provided us with menus to see what we would like to order. The lunch special for the day was stuffed bell peppers with sides. By the time we got inside to order, they were all out of peppers and you couldn't order a different special, It had to be a daily item, fried chicken, crab cakes or trout and maybe a few other menu options. So I ordered the trout Zachary with dirty rice and yams and my husband got the crab cakes with Mac and cheese and greens. We got a sweet tea, which was bottled and not fresh made and strawberry lemonade that he said was really good. I ended up ordering a bread pudding just because I wanted something sweet. The atmosphere was pretty cool, they had tables and chairs on the middle with a few seats to wait all around the spot. A young man was running the food to tables so that helped move people along pretty quickly. They had pictures of guests with the owner and new Orleans rich stuff so that made it feel like Nola for sure. So let's get into the taste of things. My fish with the toppings was pretty good. I think it had crawfish and shrimp in a creamy sauce and it was nice. The dirty rice had plenty of meat so that was a bonus. The candy yams were too candy for me and I love sweets. They were giving mushy sweets instead of yams. My husband's crab cakes were really good according to him and he doesn't like anyone's crab cakes outside of his momma. His greens were a serious disappointment that I concluded were canned glory greens that were over cooked and touched up with more seasoning. The Mac and cheese was giving milky noodles and cheese topping. It wasn't cooked through to be one thing but watery parts with cheese on top. Mind you, I read others reviews and look at pictures and the comparison of what we got verses what others had posted didn't all match. My bread pudding had fruit cocktail in it but no flavor or spices. That was very disappointing. Needless to say, we tried what the locals say is the spot to go and while some of it was good, it's not all that people hype it up to be. It's crazy because people have left reviews raving about this place and it was not that great to me/ us. I think husband had a blast with his crab cake but that was probably the only thing we had that was the worth it. Over all this place did not live up to the hype but of people love them, good real.

It was good once I realized feli gumbo was supposed to be more like a soup, the meat in it was very tender but I came late in the day, guess I got the bottom of the pot cause I only had 2 small shrimp in mine. Gumbo had a great flavor. The crab cakes were awesome with a crawfish sauce on top, they were excellent. Greens were good very tender, a bit to sweet but good, the dirty rice was good no liver chuncks in it which I liked. So I guess it wasn't real dirty rice but it was tasty.

My experience at Lil Dizzy’s Cafe was exceptional!! The customer service was top-tier! From the line outside until I left the restaurant I felt a part of something special. The restaurant's owners and staff get it! The woman at the door handling the line was someone everyone should mimic in customer service. My food was great! I would say my most memorable dish that I ate was the gumbo, and the Cajun rice! Do yourself a favor and make sure stop by Lil Dizzy’s when you’re in New Orleans. Get there early if you can. There will be a line, and they can sell out of menu items. I was there when it rained, but they still got all the customers in!!

Seafood restaurant
Casamento's Restaurant, a cash-only establishment, has been serving fresh seafood and oysters in a cozy mosaic-tiled space since 1919. This family-run restaurant on Magazine Street was founded by Italian immigrant Joe Casamento and is still operated by his descendants today. The menu features local seafood prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes passed down through generations.
Absolutely adore this place. Like stepping back in time. Super old school New Orleans oyster joint. I like them raw, but they’re also known for fried. Tile everywhere, mechanical cash register. Cash only. Not to be missed.

Look, this isn't 5-star dining. I'll give you that. But it has so much charm and history that it more than makes up for it. I love oysters especially after a really hot and humid St. Patty's parade in Metairie. Between our group of four, we had no complaints and those that had never been loved the atmosphere and feel the place gives. Cozy and comfortable. Real people and real food. We had tons oysters, fried calamari, gumbo, garlic bread, and spaghetti. A couple things: 1. You pay in cash only, but it's okay because they do have an ATM. 2. The bathroom is in the back past the kitchens. It's not a big deal, just walk on past. The chefs are friendly.

Casamento's is literally a step back in time, a rare gem that was established in 1919 by two Italian immigrant brothers, a tradition carried forward by the 4 family generations that followed. The brilliant foresight of the original Casamento brothers in using Italian tile for the decor, floor to ceiling, which remains intact over 100 years later. Wonderfully simple, but most excellent menu with very tasty grilled oysters the Loaf sandwiches cut by hand from the loaf, hence the name. The fried seafood, oysters, soft shell crabs, catfish, shrimp, etc. is lightly breaded, always my preference. You really feel like part of the family here even if its your first ever visit. Come often as its literally an original.

Old School New Orleans as I remember it, from my first visit back in the early nineties. I returned for the oysters and spaghetti, yeah I left completely enamored with the oyster stew and one of the best cup of coffee in New Orleans and that saying something. As magazine Street turns into an open-air mall of expensive clothing boutiques, this is a reminder that New Orleans was once the funkiest of American cities we're the best inexpensive food.

This place is incredible. Classic hole in the wall local NOLA joint and it’s amazing! Staff is incredibly kind, gluten free fried seafood and it’s amazing. The chargrilled oysters were so good we had to order another plate. Crab and calamari were so good as well. Fresh horseradish was the perfect sauce mixed with the hot vinegar. Can’t wait to return here.

Definitely a popular restaurant. When we arrived on a Friday evening around 6 pm we were met with a small line of folks ahead of us. The speed of the line went fairly slower than expected. The small, old fashioned and almost antique feeling cafeteria-like restaurant had each table filled. It's a small, divey joint that transports you back to the early days. Subway tiles cover the walls in a classic style and are rumored to be imported from Italy. I love dive bars and divey restaurants. This place had just a touch too much of that for my taste. The restaurant was moving from divey, to dirty, and almost, unkept. I am a huge fan charbroiled oysters and had to try Casamento's restaurant as one of the more popular and famous places for oysters in NOLA. We ordered two dozen charbroiled ($24.75 ea) (one for each of us), two beers and a side of coleslaw ($2 for a 2 oz serving). Our server was friendly and our order came out promptly. These oysters didn't have any charbroiled taste. They lacked greatly in flavor. The cheese wasn't melted, the oysters were warm, not hot. Overall, they were quite disappointing from a place that are "known" for their oysters. These oysters were more like baked oysters that came from an under-heated oven rather than charbroiled over flames. The coleslaw was simple and tasted as expected but in a smaller than expected portion for the price. Overall, Casamento's may have a place in the history books of serving oysters in NOLA and maybe they serve up a decent order of raw oysters on the half shell. However, as far as charbroiled oysters, there are many other establishments in the local area that serve up a much tastier plate.

To me, there is nothing quite as cool as a great family-owned restaurant that has been running for generations. New Orleans has quite a few, and tiny Casamento’s on Magazine at Napoleon is one. Founded in 1919, the original Casamento couple lived upstairs, as did a few later generations. You can easily meet members of the 4th generation working there now, and the 5th generation is coming up now. Casamento’s has a small menu of delicious fried seafood. We had the trout and the shrimp, and both were fabulous. Their French fries are properly fresh-cut, and the coleslaw is the creamy sweet variety - delicious. I don’t know who originated the charbroiled oysters dish, and lots of folks swear by the ones at Drago’s in the riverfront Hilton. My money is on Casamento’s. Large, plump, fantastic. The staff is warm and welcoming and loyal. I’d go there all the time if I lived in NOLA!

Best just admire this place from the outside. It ain’t happening anymore. From the outside you think you’ve found a treasure from 60 years ago and indeed this place might have been good 35 years ago. I remember simple family places that served the Best food. But this was not good none of it . overcooked grilled oysters, the fried oysters of no particular flavor and the awful spaghetti and meatballs. The meatball was ok but the sauce onion and sugar hardly cooked. Atmosphere - besides the old worn out tables and chairs - two tv’s one in each little room. - so no escaping them. But at least it wasn’t too loud. The oyster soup tasted good but was watery and had maybe three oysters in it. So I gave two stars. And Cash only? Hmmm. Why would that be?

Loved the whole experince. The service was top tier and the food was truly delicious. The best meal on this quick trip to NOLA. We had the oysters, creole catfish topped with a pecan sauce, the star of the show. I didn’t think it could get any better but dessert was so yummy a bread pudding cake with ice cream and cheesecake with more pecans! 😍

This was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had at a finer restaurant. We were really looking forward to a special evening out during our trip, and while the atmosphere was beautiful, the tables felt a bit too close together. The food was decent, but nothing truly stood out. The shrimp and grits were fine, though the shrimp were overcooked. The turtle soup was enjoyable and a fun dish to try, while the court bouillon was a bit too large for one person and, again, just nothing special. What really took away from the experience, though, was the service. As this was meant to be a memorable date night, we were excited, but unfortunately, our server didn't meet expectations. He seemed disorganized, taking our order twice, and when I ordered wine, he incorrectly told me I was wrong. While we understand it was later in the evening and nearing closing time, there were still other tables being served. To make matters worse, he even asked the table next to us if they wanted to order entrees after they had already finished their meal. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and given the combination of the service and food, we won’t be returning.

The food was delicious. The service was top-notch. It was like watching "worker bees". Every staff member helping each other out. The food here was phenomenal, as was the service. Sat on the balcony. Luckily, I read the reviews before hand and the court bullion was definitely enough for two. Morrow's is a trendy restaurant located in the historic Faubourg Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. It offers a unique fusion of classic New Orleans cuisine and authentic Korean BBQ dishes, all crafted by a mother and son chef duo. The restaurant boasts an electric modern aesthetic, soulful 90s R&B music, and handcrafted specialty drinks.
Title: Outstanding Dining Experience at Morrow’s! From the moment we walked in, Morrow’s delivered an unforgettable evening. The warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone, and every dish—from the appetizers to dessert—was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The music was a whole vibe—upbeat yet relaxing, creating the perfect backdrop for great food and conversation. Our waitress, Mykia K, made the experience truly exceptional. She greeted us with a bright smile, offered thoughtful recommendations, and anticipated every need without ever hovering. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made us feel like valued guests. If you’re looking for a place that blends delicious food, an amazing soundtrack, and first-class service, Morrow’s is the spot. Be sure to ask for Mykia K—she’ll make your meal even more memorable. Five stars all around!

*9 October 2025* Traveling from Atlanta. I stayed on the Naval Base in Belle Chasse, and they recommended this spot. My cocktails were marvelous! Rich was my bartender. He gave me my second cocktail on the house, which made the cocktail taste even better! Lol. Rich helped me narrow down my appetizer and entrée. It was a consensus with the other diners, who sat across from me, that my final choices were it! But in my opinion, the crab claws were just okay. I've tasted better down in Atlanta. Not only that, but the crab claws down there are typically no more than $17.99 at the various restaurants I dine at around the city. Here at Morrow's, they're $24. The markup isn't devasting, so I still ordered it. I was assuming since I was in NOLA, those crab claws would have been out of this world, but they weren't. Just average. My ramen bowl was just okay. They had the crab soaking inside of the broth, which made the crab meat gooey and mushy and liquidy. I could not eat the crab like that and ended up throwing it away. My ramen bowl did not come with the promised mussels. I did not realize this until later. Had I realized this sooner, I would have mentioned it there. Customer service was great! Sitting at the bar was fun. Despite what I said, I would totally come here again, but I'd try different dishes instead.

My experience at Morrow’s was great! My server was very attentive, and personable. One of the managers even came by to see how my meal was and offered me to-go packaging items. I loved the oysters, crab bread, and pasta. My catfish was a little salty for my taste, but really crispy. I came for the Gumbo Ramen, but they only sell it on certain days. That is a bummer for out-of-town guests. Overall, I loved my experience and would go back again.

If I could leave 6 stars I would. This was the best meal we’ve had since we’ve been here. Our waitress Gabby was phenomenal. She had impeccable energy and amazing suggestions. The food is unmatched. The red fish yeah was out of this world!!! There aren’t even enough words to describe the depths of flavors. We cannot wait to come back. Best spot in New Orleans hands down. And the music was ON POINT. A whole vibe

We chose this restaurant after asking around to folks on “must eats”. Morrow’s did not disappoint. Red beans with rice was flavorful, chicken wasn’t the best piece I’ve ever had, but definitely still good. My daughter said the gumbo was good, but the star of the show was their bread pudding. My lord I’d order that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All in all it’s a great ambiance! The manager on duty was funny and took his time talking to all his tables, I appreciated that! We’d definitely come back from the Carolina’s every time!

We came to Morrow’s to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday, expecting a memorable meal at one of New Orleans’ most talked-about Black-owned restaurants. While the food was flavorful, the overall experience was a letdown. Our check was nearly $300, yet we were still told we had to pay for a birthday dessert. Tacky and tone-deaf for a special occasion. On top of that, our server acted like taking care of us was a chore. You can tell it’s all about the money here, not hospitality. Sadly, this place did not live up to the hype. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values your business.

Thoroughly impressed with Jack Rose. Went here last night for an anniversary and they truly showed out. The service was top notch. Every staff member we encountered was so kind, in a very genuine way. Of course the decor and aesthetic is absolutely stunning. Normally you would expect a restaurant with beautiful interior to have meh food. Not the case here! Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I wanted to try dessert so badly but I was too full from trying to finish my entire main course (it was that good). The cocktails were strong, if that's your preference. Would absolutely recommend Jack Rose for the experience, atmosphere, & food!

Recommended by anesthesiologist at my job when I shared I was going to New Orleans for the first time for my 50th birthday. Top tier service from our server Max, GREAT dishes. My husband and I had the Fettuccine Nero & he had snapper alone with pork cheeks as an appetizer. Everything was delicious!! Enjoyed the surprise bday treat at the end of our meal for me. Such a nice touch! From the decor & the neat touch of presenting our check inside of a book the evening was awesome. Will definitely be adding Jack Rose as a stop on our next visit!! Thank you so much for a memorable birthday dinner!

Awesome awesome spot. Dropped a star for 2 reasons. Graffiti in the bathroom.... (And I know that's an odd thing to care about, however when you go to a place like this to spend the money you spend, there's no reason it shouldn't be pristine everywhere) and this mayonnaise they are passing off as aoli. Everything else was amazing though. So good in fact I didn't get any before pictures! Lamb shank was perfect, bread pudding was SO GOOD. Drinks were good too. Good service.

Established in 1856, Tujague's is a renowned dining destination in New Orleans, offering a traditional fixed-price Creole menu. This historic restaurant has been a favorite for over 165 years and continues to captivate French Quarter patrons with its delightful cuisine. Originally catering to merchants at the nearby port, Tujague's now serves up authentic Creole dishes and specialty cocktails. The restaurant's bar is the oldest standing bar in the country and is famous for classic New Orleans cocktails.
This was just incredible. We had the 5-course meal with the wine pairing. Every bite, every morsel of food tasted incredible. From the turtle 🐢 soup to the bread pudding 🍮, every bite tasted like heaven. The waiter Victor was simply incredible. He made us belly laugh all night long. Truly an unforgettable meal and one of the highlights of visiting New Orleans. Highly recommend if your in the area.

We had an amazing dinner at Tujague’s! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish cooked to perfection. What really stood out was the incredibly friendly and welcoming service—truly some of the best we’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole evening memorable. Highly recommend Tujague’s for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in New Orleans!

Had I made this review in 2021, I would have given a 5 star review. Mr Greg was spectacular! I also miss the 250+ year old mirror. For those who do not know, this is the home of the Grasshopper. No, it is not that weird thing that you get at many places. It is so good and light. I hope that the recipe will continue to flourish as people deserve to experience the drink the right way. The new location of Tujague's does not have the same feel. Also, the bartenders did not have anywhere near the same personality, skill, and overall presence that Mr Greg had. They did keep their collection of mini bottles which, at the time was one of the largest in the world. Still worth a visit, just not the same. Including some older photos and more current.

My favorite NOLA restaurants are the ones that have been here for ages. Tujague’s meets that criteria and then some. It’s been going since 1856 (and therefore is older than my home state of Kansas)! The food is wonderful, beautiful rooms, excellent old-school service and attention to detail. This time we went for brunch. Boudin balls, pain perdu, gumbo, and eggs guichet, with French bread and butter, and chicory coffee. Yum all the way around. Please patronize places like Tujague’s and skip the touristy chains. You won’t regret it.

The restaurant was amazing, made only better by the service of Devaune and Martine. The food was probably the best we had in New Orleans. The bbq shrimp was the reason we came, but we also had shrimp & grits and I had a wedge salad (a little sleeper hit) and the grasshoppers are delightful. We will be back. Apparently from meeting other diners, it’s a common tradition to make it your go-to NOLA restaurant for generations.

Our final group-tour dinner was at this legendary spot, one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans. Simply charming southern setting, wonderful service, and great food. Opening bread salvo was to die for. I got the filet with mashed potatoes and green beans, my better half had chicken. They topped it off with a marvelous creme brulee (why the male servings were larger than the female portions, will have to ask the manager). Perfect meal to end an ear-opening music-history tour.

This was a nice place, food was really good, we tried different options on the menu and everything was delicious. The service wasn't the best though, the waitress wasn't very nice and they made a mistake with one of my friends'orders - we were a big group and we all had our meals on time except him because they just forgot about it, he had his order around a half an hour after us. It was not a good experience.

We brought a small group to enjoy lunch here and this was well worth the visit. The restaurant and lobby area are classically attractive - and this is also where the bar is located. For our meal, we enjoyed the turtle soup and BBQ shrimp and grits. Both were excellent - but note there are other menu options that are surely as tasty. The service was also on-point, attentive, and well-done. Overall, Tujague's is well worth a meal or two and we look forward to returning in the future.

Arrive early or make a reservation if you are able too, it will avoid the line of waiting, it is that great. Quick service once seated, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Lots of delicious food to choose from, reasonable prices for quantity. Excellent customer service, one of the best breakfast / brunch restaurants we have dined in, highly recommend.

My cousin and I met Steven and Chrissy at the Hope lodge (a hotel for patients having treatments for cancer) where they taught us how to make biscuits and we had so much fun learning, which was a great distraction considering why we're there. We had a awesome time. I was scheldule for surgery than monday so we decided to go to the Ruby Slipper's that saturday. When I tell you the experience was awesome, it was amazing. The staff and the vibe was so on point, and the food was soooo good. Chrissy when I say mixology she was so on point her drinks was oooo we. Steven even the took time to come greet and take pictures with us. This is one stop I will definitely make when i'm in New Orleans.

The Ruby Slipper has a warm, friendly atmosphere, and the service was honestly the highlight of my visit. The staff was so kind and attentive. My meal was just okay overall. The fried green tomatoes tasted like they had been sitting out for a bit, so they lost some of that crispy freshness I was hoping for. The shrimp and grits had good flavor and a nice presentation, just not quite as rich or bold as I expected for a New Orleans spot. Still, I appreciated the hospitality and laid-back vibe. It’s worth a stop if you’re looking for solid service and classic Southern comfort food.

Absolutely amazing!!! I had the trifecta and it was the best eggs Benedict ive ever had. The St Charles and the Bayou shrimp Benny's were so freaking good! We had a friend in our party with Celiac and allergies and Judit took great care to make sure that she had an amazing meal and experience without worrying about her allergies.

This was a good place to have brunch with the food staples of this area of the country. I liked their biscuits and the French toast bites as well. Food comes out quickly and staff check on you often. I think it's good, yet people give it too much hype and make it sound as the best food you could ever try. This is very sweet and artificially flavored or enhanced flavored food, deep fried, breaded, etc., as many things in the States.

Absolutely LOVED Ruby Slipper. There is nothing I can say that wasn't good about this place. We came early in the morning maybe 9:00 AM to eat something before all of the bachelorette activities we needed to do and it was the best idea ever. I wanted an iced coffee, they gave me a delicious iced coffee. We wanted the banana foster beignets and they gave us the most delicious banana foster beignets I've ever had. (Not that I ever had anything like that before.) My friend ordered the eggs and biscuit, and my other friend and I split the chicken and french toast bites with hot honey. It was delicious! I would say it was a tad pricey, we paid $38 for two small dishes, iced coffee, and tip. I don't know is that an average amount? I feel like in NoLa it is. We were 4 girls, and since there was a little bit of a wait, and we were in a rush, they sat us at the bar, which was great! We loved it. I would love to shout-out our waitress Trish, she was AMAZING! I didn't even write her name down because I knew I would remember her. She gave us other recommendations on where to go during our time there, and she was just so good! She was serving, bar tending, cleaning, getting the check, all at the same time! She did it all!

my husband and I came here on our honeymoon trip as it was recommended by a friend. We shared the Trifecta and the French toast bites! The food was delicious and really great portions. I also got their spiced vanilla latte which was really good. It was pretty cold in the restaurant so bring a jacket if you get cold easily like me but that was my only gripe. Service was awesome everyone was very kind and helpful, I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in NOLA.

We did Sunday brunch at Ruby Slipper before our flight home, and it was the perfect bow to tie on our NOLA trip! We were seated right away, and the service was full of that classic southern hospitality. The loaded tots (pictured) were surprisingly exceptional, honestly one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever eaten. The biscuits were absolute perfection. Highly recommend this spot for a cozy, flavorful, and genuinely welcoming New Orleans brunch experience!

Crack'D Brunch is a charming and popular brunch spot located in the Lower Garden District. The restaurant boasts breathtaking decor and a delightful atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique dining experience. The menu offers a variety of delectable dishes, including the highly recommended crab cake Benedict and bananas foster pain perdu. Guests have praised the excellent customer service provided by the staff, particularly highlighting the friendly bartender Jon.
Such a cute spot! My waitress was fun, energetic, and gave amazing recommendations for both food and bars in the area. She even surprised me with a free mimosa. The food was spectacular. I especially loved the duck bacon tower, and the monkey bread is a must-try. It was busy but since I was by myself I didn’t have to wait. I can’t wait to come back! Good eats!😋

We absolutely adored this perfect neighborhood brunch spot. We found it by chance and are so thankful. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Bri (our server) took excellent care of us. The restaurant is so cute and the decor bright and uplifting. I had the bananas foster french toast and every single bite was glorious. The snicker doodle iced latte was perfect. My friend had the lemon ricotta pancakes and said they were excellent. Everything here is a 10/10. If you can make it here, definitely do and if you are lucky enough to have Bri as your server it will be a top tier experience!

Absolutely delicious. Although I would probably pass on the avocado bread. Not a place to go if you try to have a conversation. Very very loud! It was very busy when we got there but service was still good and the food was delicious. Delicious coffee and they even gave us a cup to go! The flight of champagne is well worth it. The duck bacon was absolutely delicious and fun to have it your table. I'll tell you the duck bacon and the chicken and waffles definitely spicy.

My family and I were excited to go here based on the reviewed were read online... Can definitely say, the reviews Did Not live up to expectations! Checking in, the hostess was kind of rude. We had a reservation, so we didn't know if our table was ready or not. When I checked in, she then looked Expectedly at me as if I was supposed to know to just wait outside until she called for our group. It took another 10-15 for the waiter to come over for just the drink order. We received water which had green stuff frozen in the ice...maybe matcha? The "just bring is the basket" was the best part of brunch. The baked goods were warm and tasty. My niece had a bowl of berries that were told were supposed to be mixed, but ended up just being strawberries. And my other niece ordered "crispy" griddled hash browns that looked like overcooked. If another trip to NOLA is in my future, this place is a no go for me.

I will preface this by saying I believe the management is 100% at fault for the issues described. We waited for an hour for our food, which was not the best flavor-wise. We rarely saw our server, and when we did, he was loudly criticizing the problems he was having with his team and cursing right next to us. When we were seated, we ordered everything upfront as to avoid delays, but did not get our food until 45 minutes later. Our coffee sat at the bar and became watery from the ice and its overall quality was not good. We also got told at the very end that our banana foster toast was unavailable, despite ordering it an hour prior and not being told this then. Side note, when we order this we expressed that one of us had a tree nut allergy, but our server was initially stubborn to remove the nuts from the dish before settling on omitting it. The restaurant was too packed and too busy for the staff that was onsite, and better management could have prevented the issues that were also present outside of our dining experience. Tables of four were seated at smaller tables for two, causing dropped cups and broken glass. I rarely ever have a bad experience when dining, but this was perhaps the worst experience I've ever had. It disappoints me to have even written this, as I was extremely excited to try this place. I don't believe I will be returning until something changes.

My friends and I went to Crack'D for brunch 7/2025 for my belated bday celebration. Ron was our server. He was very helpful with answering our questions. Crack'D is a vibe. Come early because they fill up quick. Parking is on the street. We ordered all kinds of stuff: lemon raspberry ricotta pancakes, banana foster french toast, shrimp and grits, garden omlete, ragoons, duck bacon and some more stuff. This was our first time. If I go back I'm definitely getting the french toast, duck bacon, ragoons. Everyone left satisfied. The staff was welcoming and we don't meet no strangers💃🥳. Everything was good and the staff was very attentive. Thank you all for making my bday celebration special!! ❤️

Creole restaurant
Commander's Palace is a must-visit culinary gem nestled in New Orleans' picturesque Garden District. Since its inception in 1893, this elegant establishment has been synonymous with refined Creole cuisine and boasts an enchanting ambiance adorned with chandeliers. Under the guidance of talented chefs like Meg Bickford, who honors traditional flavors while innovating with local ingredients, diners can indulge in classic dishes such as gumbo and turtle soup alongside creative offerings like La Ceiba gulf fish.
We dined at Commander’s Palace with a group of four, and from start to finish, it was an exceptional experience. Reservations are definitely recommended—this place is popular for a reason. The service was truly the best I’ve ever experienced. From the moment we sat down, the staff made us feel like VIPs. Chairs were pulled out for us, and there were dedicated servers for drinks and food. Every dish was brought out at the same time, with multiple staff coordinating to place each plate down simultaneously. Even the drink server meticulously cleaned the table with a small food pickup tool and replaced entire water glasses rather than just refilling them. It’s those small, thoughtful touches that really set this place apart. The ambiance was elegant yet inviting, with warm lighting, tasteful wallpaper, and comfortable seating. Dressing up is encouraged, and it adds to the classic New Orleans fine dining charm. Another fun touch: they wrap up your leftovers in foil—and shape it into a swan, which was such a delightful surprise! As for the food, I personally loved my meal, though a couple of my friends were a bit more critical of their choices. Still, the quality and presentation were excellent overall. If you’re in New Orleans and want a special dining experience, Commander’s Palace is absolutely worth a visit.

This was truly such a unique dining experience, and one I will be gushing over for a long time to come! Every item we ordered was excellent. The dishes were prepared with such care, precision and quality ingredients. The flavours were out of this world. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was so well choreographed. We didn’t feel rushed and were encouraged to savour the experience and enjoy our time. An absolute must try for locals and visitors alike!

My fiancee and I went for a nice dinner to cap our vacation. The service was excellent, the staff were very nice and even the owner came over to check on us. The food was delicious and they also had a great wine selection. The caramel cheesecake was the best cheesecake I’d ever had and I love cheesecake. My inky gripe is that the portions were on the smaller side and I’m a big guy. The place is fairly expensive so ordering more food wasn’t exactly in the budget.

First of all, this place is HUGE, but it felt like we were in a very intimate setting. Our Captain, Justin and his team - Travis and Corey were phenomenal from start to finish. We chose Commander's Palace to celebrate our anniversary dinner and couldn't be more pleased. From our appetizer to our desserts, everything was perfect. I also love that we had bananas foster prepared tableside along with a history lesson. I look forward to visiting again. Because I couldn't decide on which soup to order, I decided to get them all! The tasting portions of the gumbo, turtle soup, and soup of the day was perfectly portioned, and a wake up for my taste buds.

November 2025: we did a lot of research which restaurants to visit during our visit to New Orleans, my expectations were very high. Perhaps for that reason I was slightly disappointed. The start was fantastic. I like the option of having three small cups of their soups. Each one was excellent. I loved the turtle soup, gumbo was excellent and the cauliflower crab bisque came a close third. The arugula salad with apple shaving was refreshing with nice blend of flavors. However, the main entree were a disappointment. We switched in the middle comping that the flavors might be more pleasing for each, but that did not work for either one of us. Our choices were pork and quale. Our waitress was in training, and could not answer any questions and always had to call another waitress, who was terrific. Perhaps they should do training in pairs, so it is less frustrating to the diners.

Food: 4/5. Overall thought a lot of the dishes were too salty. We tried all 3 soups and thought they were all too salty. The food portions are also pretty small for its price. Got a side of the crab cooked in champagne and do not recommend. Tasted like plain crab. My favorite dish was probably the cauliflower appetizer and pecan crushed fish. The free garlic bread is delicious Service: >5/5 Logan was our main server and he was so very kind and welcoming! We ordered really weirdly but not once did we feel pressured to order more food and he was very friendly in explaining the dishes. PSA: people get REALLY dressed up for this restaurant! Also highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

I managed to get a reservation for the 25 cent Martini Lunch and what an experience!! The service was impeccable. The dining room beautifully appointed with plenty of fabric surfaces to keep the noise levels low. And the food!!! WOW! Off the charts delicious. You must get the Soup 1-1-1 and Bread Pudding Souffle. I'm still dreaming of that dessert 3 weeks later.

I'm a foodie and Commander's Palace has been showcased many times on various cooking shows. Award winning menus, chefs, service, etc., So, obviously, had to go here for my wife's birthday New Orleans trip and this place did not disappoint at all. The staff was bright, pleasant, excited even. The atmosphere was perfect. Not too loud, not whisper quiet. The food was fanominal, the staff was very knowledgeable of both the food and drinks. The dessert and birthday express was not over the top and annoying to either us or other guest. All of the accolades of this establishment is well deserved.

Mother's Restaurant, a beloved cafeteria-style eatery located in the Central Business District, has been serving up delicious Southern fare since 1938. Housed in a simple brick building, this local institution is known for its famous baked ham and the iconic Ferdi Special po'boy, featuring a mouthwatering combination of baked ham, roast beef, and debris. The casual atmosphere and hearty dishes have made it a popular hangout for locals and visitors alike.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First Time at Mother’s – Great Food & Worth the Hype! This was my first time at Mother’s, and it definitely lived up to the reputation. We ordered the world-famous ham with greens and potatoes, chicken and sausage gumbo, and some fried chicken. The fried chicken took about 20 minutes, but it was totally worth the wait – super crispy and full of flavor. The gumbo was good too – I’d give it a solid 7/10. But the real standout? The potato salad – absolutely amazing. Creamy, flavorful, and easily a 10/10. Probably one of the best I’ve had. Great food, fair prices, and a chill atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend if you’re in New Orleans!

I cannot say enough how LOVELY this place is!! We were in New Orleans this past week and ate here 3 times! Yes..the food is that good!! The staff were exceptional, consistent and friendly each visit. I had the baked ham, debris po’boy, fried shrimp, red beans n rice, potato salad and bread pudding over the course of 3 visits..lemme tell you..EVERYTHING was delicious!! I’m not a bread pudding fan typically, it’s just not my thing..however my mom ordered it and I caught a smell and had to try it.. well the taste was unreal!! I was made I didn’t order any!! The red beans were amazing with large chunks of ham and sausage mixed throughout, the potato salad was the one that came out of left field..oh my goodness was it delicious!! I didn’t think potato salad could be THAT good. The fried gulf shrimp were delectable and the debris po’boy was fantastic. The food here is comforting and wholesome… Please…do yourself a favor..GO HERE and try for yourself!!

Mum would be proud of the food and the efficiency of this place. The food was very nice, and there were a range of options (less-so for vegetarians). We had a celiac in our group who felt she was well catered for. Service is somewhat chaotic, but efficient nonetheless. The food came in about 10 minutes after sitting down. Half portions are available which are suitable for lunch. They claim for have the best baked ham in the world, which I tried amongst a sandwich, but would say perhaps I’d need to try in its own right to rank above all others internationally. A curious operating system, whereby you order at the till, place your receipt at a table of choice to be collected by a waiter preceding delivery of food. We pondered on how the waiting staff remember which receipts came from which tables.

I ordered the Fried Gulf Shrimp Po'Boy and a cup of Jerry's Jambalaya. There was a 20-minute wait for the jambalaya, so I received a complimentary slice of Pecan Pie. Everything I ate was excellent! The jambalaya was my favorite of the three items with healthy chunks of protein and the perfect heat level. On my next visit, I want to try the Gumbo and Fried Chicken. Al, my server, was friendly and readily available with a refill or to respond to any of my requests. If you want to leave a tip, you'll need to have cash on hand because you pay for your meal up front. I appreciated Al being proactive with offering me a complimentary dessert when there was a long wait time for my jambalaya. It helped stave off any potential frustration. I love the ambiance of this place. Its history is covered on the walls and they do a great job taking care of frequent local customers and new tourists. I loved eating at Mother's Restaurant and will eat here again.

Delicious NOLA lunch. Pics don't do it justice but that was a good jambalaya with rice and beans and cabbage for the side. The staff were lovely and very helpful with figuring out what was good. I wouldn't have got the cabbage without the recommendation, but it was definitely worth it! Food was very flavorful, hearty, and filling. I wasn't hungry for a long time! Our table got a variety of po boys too which were enjoyed. The cafe was busy, it being lunch time, but still quick and with clean tables available for our group of six. Much like a canteen vibe, the spot oozes home-cooked feels. If definitely recommend for a quick and reliable bite.

There was a line outside when we got here. The restaurant must be really popular for it's been around for more than 85 years. Boasting as the best ham in the world. We had a ham take out and planned to eat it on our road trip to Texas the next day. The restaurant has a parking lot but you have to pay for at least 3 hrs. We had to do this because there's really no free parking in sight. Paid over $20 for the parking 😞 guess this is a norm here. Not sure but really not easy to find parking in this side of the world. Staff is nice and accommodating especially to people with disability. My husband who's been here 2x in the past asked me how's the food. I said, "if I don't sprinkle salt and pepper. It must be good." Staff is fast at correcting an order. Served as a wrong side and as fast as lightning, she served the right one. Never live without trying their ham.

This is 10/10 my favorite restaurant in New Orleans! We visited around 5PM on a Sunday and the line wasn’t too long. We probably waited for about 15-20 minutes. The brunch set is an absolute steal for $24!! 2 mimosas, biscuit, egg and étouffée. Their étouffée and jambalaya are both delicious. Very flavorful but not overall salty. I like they don’t ask for a tip since you order at the counter. Highly recommend !

Muriel's Jackson Square is a restaurant located in the French Quarter, offering classic Creole dishes in a 19th-century building with an old-world charm. The establishment is known for its spooky atmosphere, as it is believed to be haunted by a resident ghost. Despite its eerie reputation, the restaurant serves delicious gumbo, grits, chicken, pork chops, and fresh salmon. Guests can also indulge in Bread Pudding, Creme Brulee, and Chocolate Cake for dessert.
What an amazing dinner experience at the heart of French Quarter. We got to tour the unique establishment before and after our dinner, it has a very cool jazz vibe. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The Turtle soup au Sherry, the Shrimp and grits, Pecan crusted drum are excellent. Tries to go to Herbsaint but it was booked. My local friend said at least muriels is huge and good chance to get a seat. We all had the three course table de hotel menu. Turtle soup ok, drum pretty good , it was heavily pecan crusted, too many pecans for me but that wasn't a big deal, the greens underneath were excellent and the sauce was outstanding. The duck was ok. The pork was very very good, the Tasso marinara was surprisingly good. I love the inside decor esp the huge map in the bathroom. The hosts for excellent but the waitress was a little too slick -- we noticed a problem with a bill and when we brought it up the rerun it and explained everything to us in a way that made me more suspicious of the first problem which I had initially assumed was an oversight. It's just a certain kind of quick powder people use to confuse drunk people and since we weren't drunk and still confused I'm not sure exactly what happened but I had a weird instinct a out it. I'm glad I tried it and got to go inside but I probably won't be going back

Ladies, make sure you’ve got shapewear on because you’re gonna need it! This 👏🏻 place 👏🏻 was 👏🏻 INCREDIBLE👏🏻 My group went here for dinner for my best friend’s birthday and man, they did not disappoint! I had the wild mushroom gnocchi then duck and it was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfectly moist. My husband had the pork chops and omg did he make himself hurt devouring them. Worth it. Lastly, we had the bread pudding and holy cow, I could eat that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We’d made a reservation prior and didn’t have to wait long. Not drunk but just a klutz and spilled water everywhere (so embarrassing) but the wait staff was super nice about it. Our waiter was great and didn’t rush us to make our selections and even helped with recommendations. After dinner, we wandered around and got to see the seance room, upstairs, and the balcony overlooking Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral. It was absolutely stunning. Everyone should check this out while they’re in NOLA.

The hostesses were extremely pleasant and accommodating, really loved how kind they were. I ordered the sugarcane festival 3-course meal. First course was amazing. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, sauce was great. French bread was soft and tasted excellent dipped in the sauce. Second course was not to my liking. Ribs and mashed potatoes were cold. Mashed potatoes had no flavor at all and tasted like instant. Unfortunately, I did not eat this portion of courses. Third course, the pineapple upside down cake was fabulous. Waitress seemed very friendly, although not towards me. I wondered if that were due to me being a solo diner, but, another solo diner arrived next to my table and she was very conversational toward him. A shame because I wanted to see if my food could be heated up, but by the time she came around, I was ready to go.

The food was good, the desert was great. The staff is wonderful. Now the bad. Ordering $55 Filet medium rare and getting it close to well done was disappointing to say the least. To be honest, I should have sent it back but I hate doing that. My wife got the three course meal and she gave it an A+, I tasted the grits and shrimp and it is among the best i have ever had. Great location, great atmosphere and history in this building.

If youre looking for a beautiful dinner spot with amazing atmosphere and history, look no further. This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, has lots of New Orleans history, amazing food, delicious drinks, and great staff. You can have a fancy night on the town or go in jeans and a tee shirt. I had the Vampire's Kiss drinks which were to die for (pardon the pun), and then they altered a pasta recipe to make my dinner vegetarian friendly. Loved it so much!

Muriel’s was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time! The host was such a lively and fun guy! The bartender was super helpful when I didn’t know what I wanted and was excited to be a little experimental and made me an AMAZING peach martini. The servers were super attentive and kind. And the food was off the charts!! The shrimp and grits were absolute fire! I highly recommend!

Olde Nola Cookery is a cozy Cajun and Creole restaurant located on historic Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. It's popular among both locals and tourists for its generous servings of traditional dishes like seafood gumbo, red beans and rice, and poboys. One of their highlights is the 'Dessert Storm,' a delightful sampler of various desserts with playful garnishes by chef Emeril Lagasse.
Wonderful friendly service staff. Sophie was helpful, courteous. Food was delicious and flavorful. We has blackened duck, Bayou Bliss Snapper, Mardi Gras Pasta, and Taste of New Orleans. All tasty. Thanks for having a nice place to enjoy our vacation!

We had 2 servers, thinking we would get great service. No ma’am. Service was slow and staff wasn’t on point. The suggested items was not to my liking. I asked for an alternative. Management asked if I put some seasoning on it offered before granting my request. Absurd. They reused the happy birthday decor for the bread pudding while celebrating birthdays. Don’t get me wrong the bread pudding was good. I wasn’t really impressed by the service to make me want to come back. My friends enjoyed their food. We asked for separate checks and that was an ordeal. I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant unless you get different service.

I ordered the fried fish meal with greens and finished with their bread pudding, and let me tell you everything was really good. The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection, the greens were flavorful and tender, and that bread pudding……. Out of this world. Sweet and rich. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even better. You could feel the southern hospitality in every interaction. If you’re in New Orleans and want an authentic taste of the city paired with great service and a fun Bourbon Street vibe, this is the spot

Went it for a quick bite while it was raining. The Shrimp Pasta Alfredo was worth it especially when the shrimp was blackened. I had a couple drinks the hurricane & I believe their new drink. To top it off I got the Kentucky Bourbon pecan pie. This restaurant wasn't on my list but I'm glad I walked by & gave it a chance. Definitely will be coming back soon for that bread pudding & redfish cookery.

This was such a wonderful find! It is a simple atmosphere with friendly staff and a quaint atmosphere. The food was really, really delicious! The jambalaya was by far the best I've ever had. Super flavorful and not overly spicy. The gumbo and the etouffee we're both good as well. We will certainly be back!

Right on Bourbon Street, service was fairly quick for a holiday weekend. We ordered the crab cakes, taste of New Orleans trio and the bread pudding. The bread pudding so yummy we cam back a different night to just get bread pudding for dessert!

*12 October 2025* Visiting from Atlanta. My Shrimp Creole was sooooo good! My oh my. Seasoned to perfection. It hit the spot. It was warm and savory and made me ready for the bed! Lol. The bread that came with it was soft and warm, too. I would totally come here again next time I'm in NOLA. Our server was kind. But I will say that when we were ready to pay, it took a good while to flag her down. I didn't order any cocktails, but next time I will.

I came for the crab cakes, which are amazing. No fillers at all, which is a plus to me. I order the cajun fries with blackened alligator, 10/10. Watermelon margarita nice and strong! Will definitely be coming back the next time I am in Nola! This place did not disappoint. Not to mention the friendly host that not only welcomed me but other customers in with a nice warm welcoming. My server was amazing with her warm welcoming and fast delivery of service.

Nestled in the heart of the Warehouse District, Pêche Seafood Grill is a culinary gem that celebrates the art of seafood cooking with a unique twist. This rustic eatery, adorned with weathered wood accents, specializes in open-hearth grilling over hardwood coals—a technique inspired by Chef Ryan Prewitt's studies in Uruguay.
Really enjoyed this dining experience. Got the fried okra and fish sticks to start. The jumbo shrimp and eggplant was amazing. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts too! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The staff was really kind as well. Great spot for a date night or girls dinner out.

The service is beyond excellent. The food is amazing, every bite is a true awakening of senses. We left so full... We ordered the fish of the day, the gumbo, hush puppies and brussel sprouts... Those brussel sprouts are to die for... I also had a cocktail, can't remember the name of it, but it was intriguing on paper, with the Dill... It did not disappoint. Don't hesitate, go... Go hungry.

We went to Pêche on a Wednesday night with a reservation at 5:30 PM. Based on our research, this is considered one of the best restaurants in NOLA. While we appreciated our visit, we believe there are many other restaurants in the city offering a similar experience. We started with two half-dozens of oysters. One variety was excellent, but the other wasn’t quite to our taste. Next, we ordered the steak tartare and the smoked tuna dip. The steak tartare was good, but the smoked tuna dip was far too salty. It was served with a pile of salted crackers — which felt a bit underwhelming, especially given the restaurant’s price point. We expected something a bit more refined. We then had the seafood gumbo and the jumbo shrimp. We highly recommend the jumbo shrimp dish — it was excellent. For dessert, we shared the carrot sticky toffee pudding, which was also fantastic. Overall, we found the meal to be quite pricey for what we got. The service, however, was great. While Pêche is a solid option, we wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit when in New Orleans.
Sarah P — Google review
Peche Seafood Grill in New Orleans has a relatively spacious and comfortable layout. We were lucky to get a booth in the corner by the kitchen, which made the experience very private and quiet. I think sitting closer to other tables might make the experience feel less enjoyable, given how busy the restaurant can get. Our waiter was excellent — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food overall was good, with a few standout dishes. The steak tartare was my favorite — easily the best I’ve ever had — and the dessert was also excellent. The pasta dish was very memorable and flavorful as well. Some other dishes, however, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The fried oyster salad and the crab fried rice didn’t match my palate, and the fish sticks were overly greasy, with too much breading and oil, which made them difficult to enjoy after a few bites. Overall, Peche offers some truly standout dishes and a nice dining atmosphere, but not everything will appeal to everyone. If you get a quiet corner booth and pick the right dishes, it’s a very enjoyable experience.

Came here for brunch and was completely blown away by how good everything was. The service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our server made sure coffee mugs were always full (mine was refilled three times without even asking), and every dish arrived perfectly timed and beautifully plated. We started with the Brightside oysters, which were fresh, briny, and served with a clean, balanced mignonette that complemented rather than overpowered their flavor. The seafood gumbo soup followed and was outstanding—rich, layered, and comforting, with just enough spice to warm the palate without overwhelming it. The Brussels sprouts with chili vinegar were a surprise favorite: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a tangy heat that made them addictive. The spicy ground shrimp and noodles delivered a great punch of flavor, perfectly seasoned and full of texture. The brown rice congee with chili oil and fried garlic was another standout—simple but deeply satisfying, with a silky consistency and bursts of flavor from the garlic and spice. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-balanced, and the atmosphere matched the quality of the food: relaxed, welcoming, and lively. This is the kind of place that makes brunch feel special. Highly recommend coming here—you’ll leave impressed, full, and already planning your next visit.

My experience at Peche in New Orleans was absolutely fantastic! We started off our evening with some delicious cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. The old fashioned and Manhattan were expertly crafted and set the tone for the rest of the meal. For appetizers, we tried the tuna crudo and seafood gumbo, both of which were bursting with flavor and left us wanting more. The baked drum with sticky rice was a definite highlight, with the perfect balance of textures and tastes. While the chocolate peanut pie was good, it wasn't my favorite dish of the night. However, the overall quality of the food more than made up for it. The service was attentive and friendly, although they did forget to ask about any food allergies. Despite this small hiccup, our overall dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend Peche for a wonderful meal in New Orleans and will definitely be returning in the future.

Pêche is in the Warehouse District in New Orleans. This restaurant is amazing! My wife and I started off with a few drinks at the bar and were well taken care of by Amanda and Sam. The place was packed and we were offered a seat at the oyster bar when they also had five empty tables so we decided just to stay at the bar where we felt welcome by these two lovely people. We were pleased to meet Jonathan , the Mayor of Pêche. He was kind enough to guide us through the menu and suggested all of the things we chose to eat, except for our dessert. He recommended Keylime pie, but we decided not to have that. However, the folks next to us did order it and said it was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we had, including a couple of different crab dishes, some shrimp dishes, and incredible fish sticks. The menu here is very fun and creative. This place is a real treat. We just walked by and saw it. It was packed late on a Sunday night, so we figured it must be good. It was excellent. We may well go back for dinner tomorrow.

Arrived with the reservation, got on the list and was texted our reservation was ready. Our waiter was knowledgeable and funny, his name is Max. We had the snapper off the specials and it was fantastic. The gumbo, was definitely legit and cooked with care. The potatoes and fried bread both very good. The atmosphere was bustling and a bit noisy but overall a great experience. The fish we saw on the two tables next to us looked perfectly cooked.

Café Fleur De Lis is a cozy and casual café located in the heart of the Historical French Quarter. It offers ample portions of quick, counter-served breakfasts and lunches. The café features a cute outdoor balcony space where you can enjoy delicious French toast, omelets, sandwiches, and their famous beignets. The Southern French Toast is also highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth. Despite some waiting time for food, the friendly staff and clean environment make it worth it.
If breakfast were a parade, this place would be the grand marshal. Cafe Fleur De Lis is what happens when Southern hospitality meets French Quarter flair and decides to serve you seafood Benedict with a side of beignets. Located just off Jackson Square, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like a local, even if you’re still figuring out how to pronounce “Chartres.” Eat this: • The Big Easy is a full-on breakfast symphony, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and toast. No notes missed. • The Seafood Benedict is a decadent remix: poached eggs over fried crab cakes, topped with creamy hollandaise and a whisper of garlic lemon sauce. • The Beignets? Pillow-soft, powdered sugar bombs. They don’t compete with Café du Monde, they wink at it. Drink this: Pair it all with a Bloody Mary or a bourbon-laced Irish coffee if you’re feeling festive. Otherwise, their espresso hits the mark. Shoutout: Our server Ethan was a total gem, friendly, attentive, and genuinely good at making you feel welcome. The kind of person who makes breakfast taste better just by showing up. Feel this: The vibe is relaxed, the staff are genuinely kind, and the decor is a blend of Southern charm and French Quarter nostalgia. You’ll spot locals, jazz fest veterans, and tourists all happily carb-loading before their next adventure. Pro tip: Get there early, doors open at 7am and the brunch crowd rolls in fast. No reservations, but the wait’s worth it. This isn’t just breakfast. It’s a civic experience. A little greasy, a little glorious, and totally New Orleans.

*10 October 2025* Visiting from Atlanta. Me and my friend dined just in time because the line was out the door once we finished our meal. My food was good, but I'm not a big fan of boudin sausage -- that's just me and my taste buds that don't agree with the flavor. My scrambled eggs, grits, biscuit, and OJ were good, though. Whenever I'm back in NOLA, I'll definitely try this place again, but will get something different instead.

First time eating here, after being in New Orleans for 2 days. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of both the food and coffee. I had the Creole Country breakfast, and a latté. The Creole Breakfast consists of eggs your way, smoked boudin, a biscuit, and a side of grits. The Smoked Boudin had a great flavor and I really enjoyed it. The grits as well we're flavorful and a nice accompaniment to the dish. The biscuits were fresh, crispy and soft and on the inside. The latté was made right in front of us at the bar, and it was expertly prepared by Frankie at the bar. We had a great time, and we would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice dine in spot for breakfast.

Arrived early (8:30ish) on a Sat morning and was thankful to be allowed seating on the balcony. Friendly service, some food items were not as warm as they should have been, but tasted good. Came back the next morn' and dined inside, GREAT service and DELICIOUS cheese grits! All food was perfectly hot this visit. We will return on future trips into town!

Our meal at Café Fleur de Lis was nothing short of outstanding! We only waited about 10 minutes for a table, and it was well worth it. On our server’s recommendation, I went with the étouffée omelette (torn between that and the crab & shrimp eggs Benedict), and it was absolutely the right call. My husband ordered the pancakes and declared, “these are the best pancakes I’ve ever had.” He’s never said that before, so I know he meant it! We were traveling with our 10-month-old, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. They accommodated our request for balcony seating, even offering to keep an eye on the stroller while we ate. Our little one loved the food too, especially the grits, though the pancakes definitely stole the show. Thank you, Café Fleur de Lis, for making our last meal in New Orleans such a memorable and exceptional experience. We’ll be back on our next trip!
Sara K — Google review
The scrambled eggs are the worse I ever had—dry and basically an omelette cut into pieces to resemble scrambled eggs. I actually sent the first batch back and requested soft scrambled eggs. Nope. The same as before but I think even worse. The sausage was also dry and burned on one side. The grits were delicious. The bacon was okay as well as the pancakes. Probably the shrimp and grits would’ve been a better meal choice because the grits are delicious.

Amazing food and cocktails. Such a good vibe in the restaurant, too. We had the hush puppies, pigs ears, papaya salad, pork belly, goat curry and fried chicken. Everything was so good. The pork belly was one of my favorites, and the goat curry was so unique and delicious. The dip with the pigs ears was unique and a tasty snack, and the hush puppies and aioli was a fan fave with our daughter. My husband and I tried four different cocktails over dinner too, and they were all amazing. You won’t go wrong with anything you pick here!

My husband and I tried the COOLinary experience and it was phenomenal. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts were each so good. We ranked the overall experience a 9.5/10 ONLY because the guava rum cake was a bit dry. Prawns were immensely flavorful and perfect. Even got a hot towel afterwards to cleanse my hands. Tuna tartare had flavors that meshed wonderfully with the produce and seasonings. My snapper with the pepper pot was amazing - skin had that crispy exterior and vegetables complimented well. The mango in the creme brûlée shined through and I savored every bite with the berries, mint and coconut sugar on top. Flavor and service: 10000/10

Compère Lapin absolutely delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The bartender Ty, set the tone she was engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. She recommended the pig ears, pork belly, and snapper, and every single dish was phenomenal. The snapper in particular was on another level perfectly cooked, beautifully balanced flavors, and honestly one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. She also mixed an anejo Old Fashioned that was absolute perfection smooth, complex, and dangerously easy to enjoy. Just when I thought the night couldn’t get better, she convinced me to try the bread pudding. Let’s just say it was so good it practically put me to bed. Between the stellar service, the incredible food, and the relaxed but refined atmosphere, Compère Lapin has set a new bar for me. Can’t recommend it highly enough sit at the bar with Ty and you’ll have a great experience

We visited Compère Lapin during our summer travels to New Orleans. The restaurant delivered a memorable dining experience with bold and unique flavors. The seasoning of the dishes is what stood out to me the most—clearly a kitchen that’s not afraid of flavor. The buttermilk biscuits were a highlight. Another standout dish was the gulf fish. It tasted fresh, and the flavors were beautifully balanced. Service was attentive and well-paced, and the space itself feels relaxed but thoughtfully designed. A great stop if you’re looking for something unique and well-executed in New Orleans.

I had a wonderful culinary experience at Compère Lapin. Coolinary prices were still on despite August ending. The food was flavourful, the service exceptional, and the ambience lovely. My first course, pork belly in tamarind sauce, was delightful. The second, semolina dumplings with shrimp, wasn’t to my taste, but the waiter noticed immediately and graciously swapped it for a snapper dish that was absolutely delectable. For dessert, I was treated to both a bread pudding with apple curd and banana, and the Chef’s special dessert, which included a sorbet, that was very fresh, balanced, and delicious. The thoughtful service, creative dishes, and a photo with Chef Nina Compton made the evening truly memorable.
Yasmine F — Google review
The service was kind, but overall the experience fell flat compared to our expectations. The appetizers started weak and never really picked up—the biscuits were dry, and the tartare lacked citrus while being paired with an odd curried watermelon. The salad was off as well, though the mint did add a refreshing touch (it could’ve used more crispy shallots). Entrées took a while to arrive but the braised goat was the highlight with a nice balance of sweetness from the gnocchi, but the fish was one-note—semi-crispy skin without any standout flavors. Overall, some bright spots, but not a memorable meal. Won’t be back

I had the 3 course pre fix meal which came with pork belly, fried chicken and a mango creme brulee. I had a cocktail and mocktail as well. The food was delicious and incredibly filling. The vibe was decent but the staff were a bit terse.

Came here with friends to celebrate our college reunion! Good: - The dishes were all unique - I liked the fried catfish and the pork belly was really savory and the cornbread was much better with the sweet and savory butters - The ambiance was nice, it was very dark and hard to see inside Bad: - Pretty expensive and each dish is a little small - It takes forever for the dishes to come out and hard to wave down the staff, even though we already told them that we were in a rush Overall this place was a fancy upscale place and the fanciest that we went to during the trip, but also it was a bit too pricey to go again

Random visit. We decided to pop in on a whim early in the evening. Met with snooty hostesses. Overlooked it as it was my first real meal of the whole day. They were booked up for a couple hours for a table, but had enough room to seat us at the bar. When the food came nothing mattered. The ikra, lutenitsa, and pickles paired with the lamb kofta. The pita bread with the oil, oh my goodness. I was just blown away. It is likely that I'd come back. I would go the reservation route next time now that I know. They are worth a second chance.

What a treat!! This was the final Dinner we had in Nola and let me tell you this place packed The most flavor into their dishes!! Violet our server was wonderful!!! Gave us recommendations, was very patient as we took our sweet time and enjoyed our dinner out on the patio. The garden district is where it’s at!!! Loved the atmosphere here. We walked around after dinner to admire the beautiful architecture in the area. One word of advice however…. Do not get the baklavas cheesecake … the topping reminded me of stale mini wheaties, the cheesecake was warm… and the crust was hard enough to construct a house with. That is literally my only negative thing to say. Outside of that hands down my favorite meal in the big easy

The food is amazing. The service is average. We were seated early when we showed up but it then took a long time to be attended to by a waiter. Once we ordered a bottle of wine it took a bit to come out. It also took our waiter a while to take our order. Those were the only downsides because the food is amazing. The hummus is very creamy along with incredibly fresh pita. Lamb Kofta was very tender and generous portion for a small plate. The harissa chicken had immense flavor. The fries were also perfectly crispy

Today I had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time at Another Broken Egg. As soon as we walked in, we were not greeted properly by Ms. Elizabeth. Her attitude was cold and dismissive, like she didn’t want to talk to us at all. What really bothered me was watching her warmly greet another couple who came in after us. I’m not quick to assume anything, but it definitely felt like we were being treated differently—and something about it didn’t sit right. Thankfully, our server Katherine was amazing. She was the only bright spot of the visit. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even apologized for the poor treatment we received from the host. That’s not her job, but she took it on anyway with grace. When our food finally came out, it was cold—eggs and bacon. To make matters worse, the utensils we were given were dirty. I immediately asked for the manager, Michelle, to come to the front so I could show her the issue in person. She never came. No explanation, no apology. That’s unacceptable, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Whether she thought I was asking for a discount or wanted the food remade—I wasn’t. I just wanted her to acknowledge what happened and take accountability. We spent $45 on that meal—and despite all the issues, I still gave Katherine a $25 tip because she had to apologize and take the weight for something that wasn’t her fault. That should speak volumes about the type of customer I am and how disappointed I was with the rest of the experience. Michelle, as the manager, the energy starts with you. If you don’t want to face customers and lead by example, then maybe that role isn’t for you. We must do better, especially in hospitality.

She turned a great breakfast into one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Jenny—you made our time in New Orleans even more memorable!

This was my first time dining with Another Broken Egg, and my server was Brion. She was very fun to talk to, and she was able to answer my questions effectively. I, in my humble opinion, am a Shrimp n’ Grits connoisseur and had reservations about their portion size. She reassured me, and I went ahead and gave them a chance. It did not disappoint! Probably one of the best I’ve had. Their cocktail drinks are also very delicious, and great quantity for the price. But all in all, Brion was the star of the show for me, and I will be back to request her!

The Columns Hotel, located in the Garden District of New Orleans, is an 1883 mansion offering individually decorated rooms with Victorian furnishings. The hotel stands out for its historic charm, large garden, and on-site restaurant and bar serving delicious sazeracs. Its convenient location allows guests to enjoy a peaceful stay away from the French Quarter while still being within walking distance of various bars, restaurants, and attractions.
We hosted our wedding weekend at the Columns and cannot speak highly enough of our experience. We worked with Jenny and Leah as our event planners/coordinators. Both were phenomenal and didn’t miss a single detail. Throughout the planning process, Jenny was involved, responsive, and on top of everything. She worked seamlessly with our planner and the two of them turned out a weekend that exceeded our expectations and felt like an absolute dream. The food and drinks are so standout, guests have not stopped raving to us about them. Not just “good for a wedding”, but amazing by all standards and I will be dreaming about it until we can get back for another visit. Seriously - every bite was spectacular and memorable. The setting of sipping a perfectly mixed cocktail under the magnificent tress and watching the streetcar go by is so surreal and magical. Each employee was a joy to be around and went above and beyond to be at our service. 5/5 stars does not do justice to how amazing our time at the Columns was. Also of note, we did full buyout and each guest remarked on how unique the rooms are and how comfortable the beds were!

This is a MUST do when you go to New Orleans!! The waitress and host were the best! The food was some of the best I've ever had. The Little Gem Lettuce, Apple Endive Salad, and Gulf Fish Entree were scrumptious. They were very knowledgeable about gluten and checked and double checked allergens. The Moose Springsteen beverage was so refreshing The ambiance is unforgettable. Thank you for a memorable experience!!

I only went in to explore this grand, old, mansion. It's an absolutely stunning place! The bar was nice & the bartenders were good. The young lady at the hotel desk, Nalanie, was very friendly & we had as great conversation (even though I was not a staying guest). She even gave me some souvenir items from the hotel!

I truly enjoyed my time at this lounge; it has a warm and nostalgic atmosphere. The unique decor adds to the charm, and I appreciated the abundance of cozy seating options. The artsy decorations create a fun vibe, and I loved the delicious food and creative cocktails they offer. I would love to return, as I had a wonderful experience there.

We had some time to kill before dinner and wanted some cocktails. There is a nice front patio that is perfect for drinks and appetizers, There are umbrellas for some shade, fire pit and it sits on St. Charles Ave. so it is fun to have the street car cruise by. For a visitor, this hit the spot for us!

We had our wedding at The Columns Hotel in July 2025, and it was absolutely magical. From the start, communication with the venue was clear, responsive, and professional; no surprise fees, no confusion, just a smooth planning process. The hotel staff went above and beyond for us on the wedding day. They made everything feel seamless and special, and several of our guests commented on how kind and attentive everyone was. And the food was the best wedding food any of us had ever had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also stayed the night in the honeymoon suite, which is absolutely gorgeous. The only downside was that it was a bit bright and noisy overnight. The room was very comfortable but earplugs and eyeshades are a must! Overall, The Columns was the perfect venue for our New Orleans wedding; elegant, romantic, and run by people who genuinely care. Highly recommend!

What an INCREDIBLE hotel and experience. First time visiting NOLA and I went ALL OUT. This hotel is so freakin' cool, I don't even know where to start. Gorgeous. So much character. Friendly and awesome staff. AMAZING and delicious food. Great location. Such a neat balcony just for people renting rooms with a lovely view to watch the street car and people, away from the usual restaurant goers. The whole area is very much VIBES- from the staff to the foliage to the décor. It all goes together so well and I loved it so much. Exactly what I was hoping for for my first stay in New Orleans. Highly recommend x100. Well worth the expense!

Chef Jeffrey Heard, with over 35 years of experience, brings together classic and updated Southern cooking with homestyle desserts. The menu features his signature style for seafood, chicken, pasta and sides.
This is some of the best food I’ve ever had! Highly recommend! We had the Bourbon Street Love and Shrimp & Grits. So much flavor and worth every penny! The chef introduced himself and told us a little bit of his story, and the young lady who took our order was so sweet! Get out of the tourist trap and head to Heard Dat Kitchen!

I was told to try this place and wasn’t disappointed the girl at the counter was so helpful and patient and made jokes with me and my brother. The food did not take a long time to come out (even though we ordered a lot) the food has amazing flavor and for what it was has a reasonable price. The only thing I have to say is the red beans and rice could have a little more spice.I will definitely be coming back!

HONEST REVIEW. starters i had a few questions when arriving, and was greeted with annoyance. i ended up just picking just because it seemed like too much to even just discuss menu questions. we paid 52$ for saturated food that spilled not because “maybe we didn’t hold the bag right” but because their choice of to go containers MELTED ! everything was soaked. there was no napkins but the utensils and side items had to be wiped down - it was a mess to eat. the pictures were taken mostly after cleaning up. to spend that much for that? it’s a heavy no and it doesn’t matter how good the food is. hospitality is everything. even when leaving i said thank you - got no response just like when i walked in and said hello. no response. i asked for an additional bag when leaving for my several drinks & there was a crumpled bag on the counter and some fresh ones lined up on the dispenser. this lady snatched the crumpled bag and gave me that!! $50 wasted.

By far the BEST food I had in NOLA! This food was seasoned to perfection. The fish was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes right on point. The onion rings on top.. OMG. They know what they're doing and it's not overseasoned with heat. Pure perfection

We’ve been wanting to eat at Heard Dat for weeks during our trip to NOLA from New Mexico, and it was definitely worth the wait!! Essence helped us with everything- ordering, brought out our food, talked about New Orleans, and was just generally so kind and helpful! We got the CrawDat fries, mac n cheese, and Skeesh Strips, and bought some of the Skeesh sauce to take home because it was so good. You need to get to this place!! Also Essence told us about how they feed their community after they close each day, and you can’t beat that. Great people, great food!

New Orleans is one of the greatest food cities in America, and Heard Dat Kitchen is one of the greatest restaurants in New Orleans. Portion size is big but not overwhelming. Chef said his goal is to have you feel satisfied but wanting just one more bit, and he nailed it. And despite the cheese and cream in many of the dishes, the food does not feel like a ton of bricks in your stomach.

The sign says it all...."Bestt Hole in The Wall". Essence took my order was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Bourbon Street Love and it was incredible. Large crispy fried chicken with a lil bit of N.O. heat and seasoning, over a bed of al dente Mac and cheese in a creamy creole seasoned sauce. It was a great blend of flavors that just keeps ya nodding your head! Perfect lunch pickup! I'll be back to try more of the menu!

Barrow’s Catfish, formerly known as Barrows Shady Inn, is a historic seafood restaurant that has been serving up delicious Southern cuisine since 1943. Located in New Orleans, this brick-lined venue offers a variety of hearty dishes including fried catfish, seafood plates, and sandwiches. Visitors can indulge in classic fried catfish plates from local favorites like Mandinas and High Hat or opt for a more indulgent meal from other renowned eateries in the city.
This place was excellent. Stopped by with the hubby and we will be back. The food was fresh, the catfish was fried to perfection, the shrimp (just added to the menu) were perfect. The French fries were the best (thin and delicious). The drinks were strong (carbonated). This a black owned business and I fully support it. The music and the setting is date day perfect.
Mitchells M — Google review
This place was awesome. I could not believe how authentic the food was. I had the lamb chops, which was special for that day. They were so delicious. My sister had the catfish. Did I mention that they give a large portion. Make sure you try the K J crab claws. So delicious. I can’t wait to return back to New Orleans just to eat here.
Janice J — Google review
This place was amazing and so was are server. She was able to describe the dishes well with recommendations. We had the corn chowder, gumbo, and stuffed bell peppers for the appetizers, and for the entrees we had the oysters Poboy and the Cajun pasta. All of it was delicious

5 Stars = Service 5 Stars = Food I ordered the crawfish pasta with a fillet on top. The fish was seasoned too perfection and fried right, not to hard or soft. The pasta sauce was a heavy whipping cream/cheese sauce blend with a few spices and very flavorful. My husband ordered the shrimp and fish Po Boy and he enjoyed it. He mentioned bread was very soft. Tarter sauce is good! Food came fast. Highly recommend this spot if looking for some good catfish!

Incredible food. We had the charbroiled oysters to warm up, and for my entree I had a poboy, half fried shrimp and the other half fried catfish. For the absolute quality of the food and the amount of food we got it is so worth the price. It was all so good and the service was awesome. We will absolutely be back.

I had a fantastic meal here. Saw this restaurant on a list from Eater and decided to try it while in town for work. Had a wonderful experience and was certainly the best food I had while I stayed in New Orleans. The owner came to greet us after our meal and was incredibly friendly and kind. Crab claws were fantastic and the crawfish cheesy pasta was even better. HIGHLY recommend.
Amanda F — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed my redfish pasta! The blacked fish and shrimp was a little on the salty side but I still happily stuffed myself. My arnold palmer was sadly really sweet. I sipped and added a whole cup of water as I went and it was still sweet. The corn and crab bisque was great. The catfish and shrimp platter was enough for her to have leftovers but the fried seafood was surprisingly under seasoned in my opinion. Id still return and try another meal when in town.
V T — Google review
After everyone raving about the catfish I had to try this place while in New Orleans. Food was cooked fresh , catfish perfectly seasoned and fluffy. Friend had the bisque and she enjoyed it as well. She also ordered a new item on the menu the half rack of ribs. She noted they were a bit tough but seasoned well. Portions are plentiful ordered the classic and had enough for the next day. Staff is very friendly and courteous. I'll def return.

Seafood Sallys, the brainchild of CEO Caitlin Carney and executive chef Marcus Jacobs, is their second venture following the success of Margies Grill. Recognized as one of Americas Best New Restaurants in 2019 by Bon Appetit, Seafood Sallys is situated in the former location of La Casita on Oak Street. Drawing inspiration from a journey along the East Coast, this eatery showcases an enticing array of seafood options such as boiled, fried, and blackened dishes.
Amazing lunch experience. Food and drinks were perfect. Service was friendly and accommodating, and they were especially helpful seating a baby at our table. The menu is a nice variety of interesting and eclectic twists on seafood staples. Also, one of the best peanut butter pies I’ve ever had. Definitely disappointing to see them close; hopefully the issues get sorted out and they can reopen with the same momentum.
Scott S — Google review
Overall I enjoyed Seafood Sally's but as my vacation went on I had other meals that I enjoyed much more. I stopped by pretty late on a Thursday evening and things were pretty slow. I was seated at a 2-top table across from two banquettes with two couples each seated facing me. I understand closed sections, especially late in the evening but I should have asked to move / sat at the bar. I proceeded to then perform crab-eating for their date night which was super awkward. Overall the space though is very bright and colorful and I can only imagine how nice it is in warmer months (both inside with open air and their patio/outdoor area.) The service was friendly and very quick. I had the charbroiled oysters which were good, very sizable. The gumbo was tasty as well, although slightly lukewarm when delivered. Then I dipped into the BBQ crabs... They were simmered in a BBQ butter and that oily "sauce" was served underneath the crabs. It was too oily to find edible and the garlic bread was also soaked in butter already. Overall though I thought the flavor was really good on the crab itself...a nice heat. But yes, quite a mess as you can imagine and quite the show for the tables staring my way! I'll definitely come back to Seafood Sally's if I'm in the neighborhood.

Awesome dining experience! The Turkey necks were legit. As someone who hadnt had them before, were very delicious. The oysters were huge and reasonably priced. The fried pickles were prime. Next time I think I'd go with a sandwich or platter over the boil as it was a bit on the spicy side for me. Will eat again.
Thomas K — Google review
Courtyard was cute, indoors was pretty. Service was very good. Good drink list. I really liked the tuna special. The mushrooms were a little greasy and I didn't really care for them with the sauce, you couldn't really taste the mushrooms at all, and the bread it was served with was soggy. The crab fingers had the same sauce but a lot less and it went much better together, they were very good. The crab fingers were also served on top of the bread and it was also just really soggy. Shishitos and oysters were great, the vinaigrette with the oysters was particularly good. The courtyard was very buggy, I wish we would have brought bug spray or there were more candles to keep them away. On my second trip all of the food was fantastic. The drinks were amazing as well.

This place was quite simply one of the better dining experiences I’ve had in awhile. From the ambiance and color scheme to the delightful staff, it was enjoyable just getting to our table. The guy brought our oysters (ballers dozen) and explained each one. They were delectable. The fried green tomatoes with assorted greens salad were the best maybe I can remember. The poboy had flaky Bahn mi bread with homemade pickles and perfectly fried oysters. But the triumph of the experience was the sweet & savory cornbread. As a side the ice tea was somehow better and more refreshing than common ice tea, I forgot to ask exactly what the leaf was. In addition to all of this the servers all had great senses of humor and timing. Especially Melvin who brought the oysters and said he was our “mother shucker”. Would recommend to anyone.

This place was by far the best restaurant I ate at during my stay in NOLA. The food was so. freaking. amazing. We had the fried turkey necks, honey butter cornbread, flame broiled shrimp, bbq blue crab and a slice of key lime pie. I can’t even pick one because it was all so good. The energy and vibe is terrible...even during superbowl weekend. The age group and climate seemed appropriate for us and the place was packed yet we waited over 20 minutes for service from both bartenders until finally we waved her down. We had to wave her down twice. Coming from a place that gave us a good vibe, it was definitely an unfortunate circumstance. The female bartender finally came and asked for order, then after we closed out w her, the male bartender asked my boyfriend if we were "sure" if we were good. Lucky for his coworker, we still gave her a good tip. By that time, unknownst to him, we closed out. Cant say that ive ever had a place check in with me twice before we left to make sure we paid our tab. Wish this bar understood our vibe like the others did tonight. POC bar goers: use caution.

Chapter IV is a popular restaurant in New Orleans, run by the fourth generation of the Chase family. The atmosphere is described as light, spacious, and airy. Reservations are a must due to its popularity. The food is highly praised, with unique twists on classic dishes like Oyster Rockefeller and fish and grits. Customers enjoyed the oyster benedict and gumbo while appreciating the lively atmosphere and good service despite being busy.
Amazing place with really good vibes and food. Be prepared that lunch won’t take less than 1.5 hours, as service is a bit slow. Oysters Rockefeller were the only dish that we didn’t like (a bit dry, spinach overpowered, oysters really didn’t taste like anything), but other dishes were so good that we just let it go. Shrimp and grits were great and flavourful as well as crab cake. We had creole cheesecake as a final accord, and it was light and delicious. Watermelon margaritas were great on this hot humid day.

We came here from Miami. A dear friend recommended Chapter 4. This place was Phenomenal from start to finish. We got greeted with a smile and got accommodated to a table where I could charge my phone. Our server was Jena she was Fantastic! We asked her opinion on some dishes and we got the grilled redfish crab rice with yellow and zucchini squash. It was a party in my mouth. Finished it with the in house made bread pudding another wonderful dish. I also got a mocktail it was refreshing and also tasty. This meal and experience was one of the highlights of our trip. Hands down to the cook and Jena for being so sweet and fun. I highly recommend coming here for an exquisite experience.

First time here and everything was amazing. We didn’t have a reservation and was seated quickly! Our server was really nice and patient. The menu was very concise and straightforward. My party got everything different and it was sooo good. That corn and crab bisque was 10/10 and the sticky wings and ribs were fire as well! The place is very well decorated and I loved that they didn’t have a grass wall! I def recommend coming here. It was soooo worth it!

Great food and atmosphere! Great place for dating brunch or dinner! We’ve got crab cakes, shrimp and grits, rockfeller oysters, and strawberry cheesecake. Crab cakes are on of the best we tried with crispy cover and tender and juicy inside. Shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious. Cheesecake was light and smooth with strawberry reduced sauce - tasty! Just avoid Rockefeller oysters, please, as oysters can’t be tasted there… Great friendly atmosphere and pleasant service, just slow. Expect to spend 1.5+ hours for dinner with entree and desert. Definitely will visit it again.

The decor is beautiful. We had a party of ten on a Sunday. celebrating my friend's birthday The place was packed. We ordered our food, and it came out pretty quickly. I had the shrimp and grits and they had a nice flavor. The meal was lukewarm but still enjoyable. Many people in the party loved the watermelon margaritas. We actually had a small birthday cake for my friend and was told by the wait staff that we would be charged $2 per person to cut the cut in their restaurant, so we decided to take the cake to our next activity. We called the restaurant in advanced to see if it was okay and was not aware of the surcharge. In relation to paying for your meal, they will only do credit card payments up to 4 people. I never bring cash😊. Overall, I would visit this restaurant again.

The gumbo is a little small but you get a bit of everything in there. The redfish was overwhelmingly crispy and flavorful. Shrimp and grits was my personal favorite, grits are soft and topped with some kind of shrimp bisque or something and it’s incredibly rich. Really nice service too.

Went here for Valentine's day. I had the duck breast which was good. It was a little undercooked but I don't mind medium rare. Sides were delicious. Corn bread was served before everything which was also delicious. Wife got vegetable dinner which she enjoyed as well. Prices were medium to high and food portion was a bit small. I like visiting new restaurants so I won't be back to this one since it wasn't anything that special to come back for. There was an extension cable passing behind my wife on the wall which was weird. Also there was a roasting pan in between the beams on the ceiling right on top of our table where we ate. Not very professional setting for a medium to high end priced restaurant.

We had high hopes as the restaurant was recommended to us. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly. the punch of the day was yummy. The food though was disappointing. We went for the farm to table taste- but the fresh flavors were hidden behind too much seasoning and unbalanced combinations. The eclectic mix of Creole, American, and world flavors was inciting- maybe on another night things would have been better. Didn't finish either entree- first time that has ever happened for us.

We were made to feel welcome when we walked in and seated immediately. Our waiter was kind of a jerk. Everyone else assisting him weas professional and extremely competent. He was a Tall bearded guy, we asked questions and he barely responded, asked for advice and he seemed annoyed. The food was mostly very good, one fish fish was a bit overcooked and the vegetarian entree was hardly worth the $23.00 price tag. Other entrees were great! Wine was wonderful and a good value and the desserts were fabulous as were our after dinner coffee cocktails.

Wonderful dinner from start to finish. Complimentary spoon bread to start, the escargot on bone marrow was excellent, and then did the trio of fillets with the side of Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious, great service, cozy atmosphere

Was not nearly worth the price of the food. Atmosphere was nice. Wait staff and all the employees were top notch but the food underperformed. The menu was nicely set up and conceptually great. The execution on the other hand needs alot of practice. Not satisfying in the least.

One of the best meals and dining experiences in NOLA...at least for me. Service is s a bit slow, but it is just as much about the overall laid back environment as it is the very high quality food. You will find a veggie friendly option or two as well, which can be a little tough in New Orleans. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

Super amazing wholesale produce that's open to the public!! Always fresh! Best place to find herbs in the city! Many of our best restaurants get their produce here too! If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that I live in the garden district. I wish it were closer!

For long-haul drivers, you can park alongside building next to Bubba's. Take no shortcuts, and if your next stop is AJs get directions before leaving Bubba, you can NOT use maps for semi with 53ft trailers, you will REGRET it.

Rude staff. Site says open. People walking out with produce and I am told they are closed. So much for great service. Not got my vote.
