Near St. Louis cemetery no.1, storyville museum and less than .5 to Preservation Hall. It's accessible along with a nice Wednesday night social. The staff has been wonderful from Taylor at the front desk on our checkin, to getting us squared away for laundry, package retrieval and over all niceness and great customer service. No room service, no restaurant but you do have an option at the bar for only wings, fries, pizza(cheese) and a burger. Upon arrival I had dirty wet towels outside my door. Hair was in the sink, which indicates they probably put in towels in and change linen only. I was there for the Falcons v Saints game and only ONE elevator was operating which led to long wait times. The hotel offers/charges for vallet, but when I for my vehicle the vallet worker literally parked vehicle in the street, an actual lane of travel. I can only assume she wasn't comfortable parallel parking as spaces were available. Why offer vallet if parallel parking isnt a requirement for the job. The front desk workers were nice though. Hotel is in a good location to the Superdome and not bad of a walk to Canal. The in room refrigerator was located under bathroom sink, it was plugged in but wasn't cold. The ice machine on the floor didn't work either.

No access to the pool and the halls are very dirty. No room service was provided during a 4 night 5 day stay. The Gym is atrocious. The workout equipment is minimal as expected but TWO of the THREE only treadmills do not work. It’s very unsanitary and DARK. Stay else where. Get what you pay for here. Garbage…… the only positives are that the lobby and entry point to the hotel seem to be in overall good shape. But not kept up. And the pricing for the stay was relatively reasonable. Not a value for sure considering better places in the area for similar pricing.

She was a lovely person. This was a 7 day stay, so i used door dash to bring me essentials to keep in my room, such as a case of water and other beverages. There is a small electric stove and mini fridge, but i ate every meal out. the in-house laundry was a nice touch as i was able to do all of my laundry before i left, and that allowed me to return home to unpack. please note, these are high efficient machines so please by the proper detergent from any walgreens or CVS, also within walking distance. i did not add photos because the photos on their site are 100% ACCURATE.

Our room was towards the back of the hotel, which included a pretty significant distance from the lobby and climbing of stairs with luggage. For us that was not an issue but can see that as being one for an older individual. We were able to check-in early following our cruise which was significantly appreciated. Had a room not been available, they would have held our bags until able to check-in which was a huge bonus. The receptionist at check-in provided great suggestions when asked for input. A discount card was provided to each of us for 50% a drink at the 21st Amendment Bar, which was a nice little perk. However, with my booking since I am a VIP member, we were supposed to receive a bottle of wine, however that did not happen, nor was anything mentioned at check-in about how to obtain. Put it down to 65 and it had to be at least 73 with the new orleans humidity. Stayed for one night then headed home. The courtyard was delightful. Peaceful and relaxing. A hop,skip, and a jump away from the infamous Bourbon Street. You can just smell the history in this place. Staff was very polite. Parking was a bit of a task for us. We had to check in and park our own vehicle in the garage across the street. Another Couple checked in behind us and the concierge offered to park their vehicle for them right next to ours. We were not offered valet so I assumed it was not available. I was wrong. It seemed guests who were close to the age of the concierge were conviently offered it though. Probably won't stay there again. I dont sit well with poor housekeeping skills either.

My Fiance's and I goal on this trip to NOLA was to experience firsts and this started it off perfectly!! Dee ,the concierge, was very welcoming!! She gave us a tour of the beautiful establishment!! The groundskeeper gave us several restaurant choices that were all within walking distance of the hotel. The food choices for breakfast were superb every morning. The rooms decorated quite beautifully . Antique yet modern. It gave the feel of being in our own personal room at home and not just the same old hotel room. The ferry runs directly in front of the hotel ( it is located on the quieter end of Canal )and a ride from Lyft to the French Quarter only costed about $10. It was sooo peaceful waking up to expresso and Chicory and breakfast ( all provided by the INN) while watching the sunrise and enjoying the sound of the trolley. We even met an author who has written a mystery book about the hotel. The only small things we would improve is non pork options for breakfast and an elevator or ramp to get luggage the stairs. Its 4 levels! All in all, Canal Street Inn is superb!!
