Beverages have fun names related to various video games and pulp culture references. Impressive pulp culture references are airbrush painted on the walls. A killer lineup of new pinball machines in the backroom are waiting for you. While not included in the free play, they are a blast too with many different movie/show references. Plenty of seating if you get tired crushing it on Contra or Street Fighter II. There is a handicap accessible ramp to the pinball area and bathrooms were very nice. I suggest coming here after you have a meal elsewhere as they don't really have a full food menu and I'm guessing that if to keep the arcade machines from getting gross. Lastly upfront near the entrance, they have console based games including Super Nintendo N64. They even have some of the classic table top games like you would have seen in Pizza Hut from the 70s/80s. A great find here in Indy!

It's even less likely that I leave a review that's overwhelming positive in every single aspect of my visit. Not only is the decor of the restaurant really cool to look at there's also a history here. As far as food goes I got the Jaegerschnitzel. It comes with the soup of the day as well as bread service. The soup was a creamy tomato and I'll be daamed if I don't try to find the recipe somewhere it was that good. The "bread" service was a big soft pretzel and a spicy mustard. The mustard was really spicy but really good so use sparingly. The mushroom sauce on top of the Schnitzel was to die for. Not only that but the Schnitzel itself was very flavorful and light. The "accompaniments" that I got were the German Potato Salad and the Spaetzle Noodles. The potato salad was a sweet flavor and very delicious. It was an unexpected flavor but very welcomed. The Noodles were very interesting. From what I could taste they reminded me of really good dumplings. I did indulge in a beer when I went. It was the "Warsteiner Isenbeck" a Stout beer. It was really easy to drink and had a great flavor as well. I'd highly recommend. I went for two deserts for me and my partner to share. The first was the Apple Strudel Alamode. It needs every piece of this plate to make itself work but it's very light and very good. The other was the Rathskeller Bread Pudding. I have few words other than perfection. This last light and not overly sweet. I loved every bite. The last and most important part of this entire experience was our server. Michael who was are bartender/server was an experience. One of the best servers I've ever had it's not hard to see why he's been here for 20 years. I was happy talking with him and he made our experience all that more special. Will I be back? Absolutely they have a outside patio with live music so got to come back for that. They have amazing food so I need to try more. And the staff just watching them makes me feel like there comrades in arms rather than coworkers. My only regret I ate the soup and entree so fast I forgot to take a photo.

The food was some of the best we have had compared to other restaurants down town. The service was outstanding! This time I came in looking for food, a drink, cigar and peace of mind free from decision making. Rhe Blend has a nice compact menu, which I love. Very impressive and extensive spirits menu and cigars for daysbin the walk in humidor. The Cuban sandwich was excellent, their Makers Mark was very nice and smooth and the Davidoff Winston Churchill was what the doctor ordered. Big shout out to Dave (cigars) and Richard on bar...top tier service! In both cases I gave them scant details of what I thought I was looking for and they superbly filled in the blanks making the final selection. I was not let down!!! As the terminator said...! He was also very helpful recommending cigars for my husband. Their ventilation system is top notch! There was no stale smoke smell at all in there and we were talking amongst ourselves when we got home that you could hardly smell lingering smoke on us as well. Only on his hand basically. One thing I will say though is that the ventilation does make it a tad chilly inside but nothing a light jacket or long sleeves can’t remedy. Our bartender was a lovely lady named Jojo. Very friendly and provided absolutely wonderful service. My husband and I both had the Cuban sandwiches which were very good actually and even paired well with his cigar. Jojo also recommended the Irish Cream Cheesecake for dessert and it was amazing. Perfectly balanced, the chocolate was not too sweet or too bitter. The fresh mint and blackberries were a wonderful touch. We also had the Davidoff VSOP, Giesen Sauvignon Blanc and some Benedictine. Everything was wonderful. We have gone to the one on college ave a few times and like it. This one is a little farther away for me but it takes less time to get there(off 465). It's a hockey bar and I won't spend a lot of time on that. I will say its not a dark and dingy bar. It's clean and has plenty of light shining in without washing out the TVs. The beer selection is nice. I think they had around 14 craft beers on tap. They have domestic stuff too and cider too for the non beer drinkers. The food is what my wife and I really enjoy. I can't go through all the different food they have, but I will say the boneless wings are really good and the spicy teriyaki sauce is awesome(balanced sweet vs heat). The sauce is not the salty almost soy sauce taste that you would think comes with the name teriyaki. My wife got the chicken club sandwich. I took a bite and it was GOOD. The chicken was an actually chicken breast not a chicken patty. It had the lettuce, tomato, mayo and thick cut bacon. I got the Chuck Norris. Its a burger with wasabi mayo, jalapenos and peper jack cheese. It's not as spicy as it may sound. It is a nice heat that don't over power the flavor of the hamburger( nice thick patty). Oh I almost forgot THEY SERVE TATER TOTS!! Thats #1 reason my wife loves this place( even tho she loves hockey...it's all about the tots). They are star shaped tots that are crispy and not greasy at all. They do offer some sort of dessert. It is called "sack of balls". Its fried donut holes( 2x larger than you get when you think donut holes). They serve them in a wax paper stack they are tossed in sugar and served with a believe is an apple butter. All I have to say is save room and try them. If like hockey and good bar food this is the place. They did have other stuff on tv besides hockey, but I would think durning a regular season night it would be mostly hockey. They do have live music and trivia night.
