This museum is great for families with kids of all ages. It is super stroller friendly with the ramp to get from one floor to another. You were never more than a tiny walk to a bathroom, great diaper changing areas, water bottle refills, and benches. The Playscapes area was great for our toddler to run around and burn off some energy. All three of our kids loved the outdoor sports exhibit! They played hockey, baseball, football, basketball, took a lap around the mini speedway, and climbed through the tree! This place has it all. The cafeteria was excellent for lunch and has a highchair. Lots of great learning and core memories made here! Cannot recommend enough!

There’s areas for babies and under 5 and then areas meant for kids 8-9+ and plenty for adults to see as well. Firstly, it is organized chronologically, as opposed to most museums which are organized by genre/concept. This made it feel more akin to a journey through time in Indiana. The exhibits also included miniature images of the state with a pin placed to show where in Indiana each artifact was found! So cool! Certain exhibits, particularly fossils, also included sculpted casts by the information plaques, I'm assuming for blind visitors to "see" the exhibits with their hands. This was very neat as well! I also think the gardens and foliage planted along all the exhibits really added to it. We went on a Wednesday in the middle of August. Crowds were light which made for an easy viewing of all exhibits. All the animals were active. Watched the cheetahs chase each other around. Then we were lucky to see them get feed raw meat by the zoo keepers. The dolphin show was fun. The tropical bird and butterfly enclosures were awesome to walk through. I'd highly recommend making this zoo a destination if you visit Indianapolis.

So much history has been remarkably well preserved. The architecture was very functional and they explain all of that to you. Some of it is pretty macabre, but my wife is a trauma nurse and said she could've spent another 10 to 20 hours in there, and way more if they'd actually let you read the books. The autopsy table, the death room, the lecture hall, the chemical production room, so much stuff they did back then is still in use today, it's just much easier to do now. There are brains and pieces of brains in jars, with the tumors and such clearly described. It was easy to get to, had plenty of parking, and even a garden of medicinal plants that have little tags by them explaining what they were used for. Appointments are required. There is a flight of stairs, and they are old stairs with at least one 90 degree turn in them, so probably not wheelchair friendly. This was definitely worth visiting and I'll go again next time I'm in town if I have enough time to spare. So worth it.

Whoever makes the rules gives a hoot about movies and drive-ins and the whole experience of it all. This is such a great way to enjoy a movie. I guess you don’t get the crazy sound system that modern theaters have, and planes fly over a fair bit as it’s not too far from the airport, but the picture is amazing and the trade off is well worth it. So much more relaxed than a normal theater. Honestly one of my only complaints is that it’s so pleasant, I tend to have an overly positive bias about the movies I see here. If I saw it at Tibbs, I liked it. So maybe avoid if you’re a critic and need to write harshly about film. So if you have heard about Tubns your whole life but never been, do it. Long live The Tibbs!

I did like that you can use the credits to purchase rounds of golf, go-karts, etc for 550 credits versus having to get back into a line to buy a ticket. The special we used today was the $50 = 5,000 credits, then a bonus amount of 1,000 credits were added, giving us 6,000 credits for $50. There are other amounts that get bonus credits, I think it started off at $20 thru $100 purchases. There's a good assortment on the food menu, with sitting space inside to eat in the AC/heat.

I definitely wish we'd stretched first! My only real complaint is that the park is tearing up the parking lot, so you have to make a little trek to get to the check-in site. Not too bad , but don't forget to grab your keys when you leave and have to go back to get them like we did. Our "little" had an awesome time and slept the whole way back to Greenwood. If you're looking for a relaxing activity, this isn't it... But if you want to challenge yourself while getting a good workout and some fresh air, I definitely recommend it.

Everything feels like safety is considered and it's a beautiful location with lots of parking. That being said- if you aren't a member, expect to wait a long time in line while members get in immediately. $17 seems somewhat overpriced for what the experience is. With instruction and overall time spent per kid it takes about 5 minutes per kid so if the line is more than six kids long, expect to wait at least half an hour. Food was running out by 6, so when I ordered a walking taco it came without meat. They didn't let me know when I ordered. My kids got the soft pretzels, which were chewy and flavorless. Family bathrooms were spacious and accessible, and even had a shower! No trash can near the toilet. Municipalities across the country should look at this attraction as a possible amenity for their residents and visitors. We are in Cincinnati but visit every year when in Indy visiting friends. They have something for every age here. A couple neat, large splash grounds for the littles. A dual FlowRider for the adventurous (you have to sign a waiver). The Lazy River is a little small, but there is no shortage of young and old relaxing in an inner tube (you have to be IN an inner tube or the staff will come at you). And a few slides- one dual with a body and tube slide. Tube is on the left when waiting in line, body on the right. The other slide is a short body slide that plunges into a pool shared with a rock climbing wall. My kids really enjoyed this, possibly due to the short line. We never ordered food here, we bring in our own. Alcohol is not allowed, and they do search your stuff. The cabanas are affordable and very helpful on a busy day. They comfortably fit our party of six, come with a fridge and fan, and run around $200. You still have to pay admission in addition to this fee. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, including the lifeguards. We've never had a negative interaction with them. They do have a very aggressive inclement weather policy. If they expect thunderstorms within a 30 mile radius, they will shut down the pool. And by shutdown that means you have to leave the park entirely, and wait for further info, on their Facebook and phone hotline. On the day we visited this year they shut down twice due to rain. No lightning, but quick rain storms. They were not quick to post updates on their socials and phone hotline. After the first delay they reopened after 90 minutes. The second rain delay we just left. Eventually the park just decided to close for the day. It's seems aggressive and somewhat unnecessary, but probably driven by their insurance company I suspect. No refunds or tickets reissued due to the weather, but that's the norm with these venues. Find a day with good weather predicted, book a cabana if available, and you'll have a blast. I wish more municipalities would offer such a great asset to their communities.

I wanted to update my first review of this waterpark. As my 2nd visit, both my niece’s birthday party, It was Even worse than the first time. This time not only was it too expensive for the uncleanliness we dealt with in our rented Cabana. I got there early and went on back to our Cabana, only to find that it was just horrible. Everything was sticky, and hadn’t been cleaned it looked like, ever. I went to the box offices where we paid $20 a piece to enter and $120 for the Cabana and asked for some cleaning supplies for the cabana we were getting ready to use for a 6yr olds birthday party . I was being a little Passive Aggressive hoping that they would clean it up at least a little bit, but no. They actually handed me a towel and that was it. I said I’m going to need a little bit more cleaning supplies to make it suitable to hang out in. The inside of the mini fridge was just soaked in a brown substance. You could definitely tell that it had not been cleaned since atleast the last party. I took pictures and sent them to my niece so she could get some money back and I went ahead and cleaned it up enough to make do. But ya, I will not be going there anymore. We spend too much money for a nice place to enjoy the sun and water to be reduced to squander down at the creek for $200. Ridiculous I visited The Waterpark yesterday for my niece’s 5th Birthday party and was shocked by the price of admission. $17 per adult, $14 per child. It’s a nice place. A little too crowded for my taste. It reminded me of Holiday World’s water park. Same set up and all the same attractions and Cabanas. That’s another reason I don’t want to come back, to rent a Cabana is $300 for 3 hours! I understand that inflation is happening and that I was in Carmel, but dang, I thought it was waaaaay too much money to be crowded by soo many people. It was just all way too much for me. We will not be going back EVER! 😉

We live in Lafayette and pass the one in Lafayette and Lebanon to come to Carmel. It's more expensive than others, but it's just great. We're older so the lazy river is our favorite, but the scenery here is so nice. We come a few times a year. A couple things I wish they had.....a little more shade (umbrellas), a "changing" or "locker" room, and longer seasons. We love being able to bring our own cooler of snacks and drinks, though, so that's huge. Keep it up, and we'll be back a few more times next year again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This was our bucket list trip. First of all every person we met in Indianapolis were so welcoming and kind. This state is so beautiful...flat but clean! No garbage everywhere, no homeless out of controll and believe it or not no garifity. The race track is amazing. They took in to consideration all the fans coming through the track. From all the best food vendors, to the best NHRA drivers and merchandise. Things were safe, clean and honestly decently priced. Definitely will be back. It was a bucket trip week for sure. Seeing all the drivers and all the fans from all over was really cool.
