I also think the gardens and foliage planted along all the exhibits really added to it. We went on a Wednesday in the middle of August. Crowds were light which made for an easy viewing of all exhibits. All the animals were active. Watched the cheetahs chase each other around. Then we were lucky to see them get feed raw meat by the zoo keepers. The dolphin show was fun. The tropical bird and butterfly enclosures were awesome to walk through. I'd highly recommend making this zoo a destination if you visit Indianapolis.

I can't believe I waited so long to visit. I went for my New Years Day hike. I was disappointed that there were employees at the gate in New Years it being a holiday and all. There is a playground with an in grounds slide. The restrooms were very clean and all of the stalls had toilet paper. I walked the 4 mile trail. The picnic areas had me think about the hot summers we get and how there aren't many trees around for shade. I'd like to go back and hike this park more but unfortunately I think the open hours will conflict with my schedule.

This is a huge park with many nice features such as a huge pond, twin clock towers, and a lot of open space. We take our 2 small dogs here frequently. However I've noticed more recently there have been more dog poops that were not picked up... There is a lot of rabbit or deer poops as it is and then having to avoid dog poops makes walking the dogs like trying to miss land mines. Bathrooms are nice (and heated) and there are a few dog poop stations scattered throughout the park. You were never more than a tiny walk to a bathroom, great diaper changing areas, water bottle refills, and benches. The Playscapes area was great for our toddler to run around and burn off some energy. All three of our kids loved the outdoor sports exhibit! They played hockey, baseball, football, basketball, took a lap around the mini speedway, and climbed through the tree! This place has it all. I’ve visited the Hyatt Regency a ton of times and have always wondered whether this place lived up to the hype. I finally after all this time managed to eat here. Came on a Tuesday at around 7 PM and they weren’t that busy. Just an fyi, but they DO have a dress code (business attire basically) so plan accordingly. The views up top are incredible, combined with the fact the place rotates around and gives you 360 views of the city. First off, I have to give HUGE props to our waiter Anthony. He was SO kind, attentive to our table, gave incredible menu suggestions, and made sure we were doing fine the whole time. Honestly, he was one of the best waiters I’ve seen in the industry so we tipped him very well. We started out with the Shrimp Cargot and the Thick Nueske’s Bacon as appetizers. Both were unbelievable. The shrimp was great and the bacon was unreal. I then got a bowl of the seafood chowder which was fantastic. Then as my main course, I got the Braised Short Ribs with Polenta. Overall, it was phenomenal all around. The ribs were juicy, flavorful, and the sauce was delish. The polenta was good and the carrots were good too. Overall, Eagle’s Nest was way better than I imagined! If you’re in Downtown Indy or are staying at the Hyatt, get yourself a reservation here. Was so worth it! I’ll easily be back.

I attended an event a few years back during the day and had always wondered what would the view be like at night. So I went back one night to enjoy a nice diner with my date. Frickin awesome. They will also jump your car if your battery dies. Smart. This is just a business done right. Whoever makes the rules gives a hoot about movies and drive-ins and the whole experience of it all. This is such a great way to enjoy a movie. I guess you don’t get the crazy sound system that modern theaters have, and planes fly over a fair bit as it’s not too far from the airport, but the picture is amazing and the trade off is well worth it. So much more relaxed than a normal theater. Honestly one of my only complaints is that it’s so pleasant, I tend to have an overly positive bias about the movies I see here. If I saw it at Tibbs, I liked it. So maybe avoid if you’re a critic and need to write harshly about film. So if you have heard about Tubns your whole life but never been, do it. Long live The Tibbs!

Walking a dog around the lake, seeing the wild animals, nature in its glory - all wonderful. Every time I go I see something either new or that I missed on my previous visit. I was initially worried about parking, but it turned out to be surprisingly easy with plenty of spots available. Since we had our dogs with us, we stuck to the 1.4-mile loop trail around the lake. My expectations were fairly high for the price and the outward appearance from the road. We were pretty excited, however, as the day and round wore own we realized that the course and staff severely underperformed our expectations. As if they could care less whether we were there or not. We booked as a pair but also got paired with another twosome which we didn’t really appreciate because this was supposed to be brotherly bonding time and it also dragged the day out in high heat temperatures. Now to the course itself. The most disappointing part were the greens as they were poorly maintained. Tons of scorching and divots in the greens which made for much more difficult putting. The fairways were average kept at best. The cart path had tons of spots with broken path which made for quite a bit of bumpy driving. The bunkers had not been treated and the sand was rather hard to hit from. Overall, very disappointing experience that fell way below our excited pre round expectations. For the price and traffic you all have to do much better. We won’t be back and that’s quite a bummer to say because my brother and I love to Golf. We went through security & got a self guided tour pamphlet at the tour desk. I did call up in advance to check if they have guided tours, unfortunately they did not have one when we planned. I would recommend a guided tour, as it gets you in to the house and senate chambers. I did some research before visiting the capitol so was able to relate things. A very nice capitol building with ornate interior. It is beautiful and well maintained. The interior is modeled in the Italian Renaissance style with doors made of Indiana oak and Indiana limestone used throughout the structure. The pinnacle of the building is 256 feet high, it was the second tallest building in Indiana at the time of its completion. The four-story building is designed in the shape of a cross. A large central rotunda with a glass domed ceiling connects the four wing. The interior is marked by beautifully intricate blue stained glass dome, marble floors, granite columns, an ornate balcony, and period wall and ceiling designs. It was remarkable and best viewed from the upper floor. The Indiana Capitol is one of the few where all three branches of government still meet in the Capitol! There are stairs/or elevators to all the levels and each floor is different. The first floor houses the governor's office and the offices of the administration. Enjoyed walking around the third and fourth floors taking in the architecture and viewing the various chambers through the windows since they were not open for access. We saw the statues of past presidents and other public art structures surround the building. It's worth a visit learning something about history. This was one of the beautiful state houses I have been to and also one of the state house that didn't explain much about their rich history. We wouldn't have known much about their history if I did not do research prior visiting. We couldn't get much information on the two page pamphlet they provided. Also there was no attendant in the tour desk so no information was provided about anything. Comparatively I felt they didn't care about their visitors, so three stars. The entrance was not stroller friendly. There is paid parking and metered street parking around the building.
