There was a wide selection from fish to sausages. Came for a meal. Located in the centre of the main road through Leigh-on-Sea. Traditional pub to the front with smart interior and restaurant to the side. Huge beer garden to the side. This place is very popular (supposed to be a great sea food restaurant, and it was) and does get very busy on sunny days, thankfully we had booked a table inside in advance. Seated in a nice little conservatory at the rear with nice breeze blowing through which was brilliant on such a hot day. The menu had a great choice of dishes at slightly high prices but worth paying a little extra for. We ordered three main courses to share. The chowder was stunning, a specialty of the restaurant, served in a large bread bun, the bread absorbed the flavours and sauce, gorgeous. The fish pie was faultless. The fish on the fish and chips was a tad watery, my only criticism.Drinks choice was good, at reasonable prices. The service was perfect, welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is a solid 5 star restaurant bordering on 6 stars. I would definitely recommend a visit here but make sure to book a table if coming at peak times or sunny days.

Unsure whether it was a deal at the time but I was shocked how cheap it was which made me wonder about the place - but WOW… the room was immaculate and amazing with the VERY best shower I’ve ever experienced - it was like a waterfall 😂 The service was better than some 5 stars I’ve been in - two or three staff at all times ensuring I had everything I needed… Honestly can’t speak highly of this place enough… food amazing and superb sea front location for my morning run! There are a variety of different performances to choose from with many family friendly options. There is plenty of parking available in the nearby car parks or down on the sea front (be advised of the many steps you need to climb from there). As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile from a beautiful & lovely waitress, which straight away made the place feel welcoming. This hotel is absolutely 4* and exudes luxury. We stayed in the superior room which was massive and perfect if you have a little one with you too. The bed was king size so big enough, families can always bring their own travel cot for their little one if need be. We had a beautiful view of the airport and would watch the aeroplanes land which was lovely. In the room they gave us robes,slippers, complimentary water and chocolate! This was all in addition to the teas and coffee etc. We loved it. It also had a mini fridge which was handy too. The only slight critique was that it was a tiny bit dusty by the lamps near the bedside and over the bed. I wiped this off so not a big deal. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was solid, I had probably the best tasting bagel I have had in my life (no exaggeration). It was also nice that its near a retail outlet and a McDonald's on the doorstep. Everything we needed was there and it was so convenient. We will definitely be back again. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stopped by for a small bite to eat so got a few small tapas. Chicken skewers, Chicken and Chorizo, Spicy Chips, Caesar salad and Calamari. The food tasted good, but there was something off about the calamari which was squidgy and every bite had a weird bit of resistance to it like an elastic band. The drinks were excellent. I had a Stella from draught which tasted crisp and fresh. Others in our group had sangria and house red which were also nice. I appreciate we came around lunch time but it was dark and drab inside, and service was a little on the slow side. The highlight for me was the great tasting beer, but I don't think the calamari sat well with us as we all had dodgy tummies by the evening, which is unfortunate and is the reason for the 3 stars.

From our intal arrival to receiving our food was second to none. The young lad whom greeted us & the manger that made himself known to us. What personally thought was a lovely touch, was when the manager came over to the table & introduced himself with a hand shake to our family member that booked the table. I have them the benefit and two months later re ordered a chicken tikka buna with vegetable curry and the veg was huge tin carrots and very thick and oily to the point it was leaking in the bag and once un packed went over my work top and stained the whole side. The bathroom was disgusting, the toilet was dirty, the side of the shower was dirty with hair on it, no water pressure, so our showers weren’t very relaxing, the window is faulty so we couldn’t close it. The room my family stayed in had a lovely walk in shower but for a triple room was quite small. The lift is so tiny and you need to open a heavy door to get to it. I would not say this hotel is accessible because even though there is a lift there are stairs between the corridors on 2nd floor where my family stayed. Located on the main road through Leigh-on-Sea. Nice Italian/English (mostly Italian) restaurant. Not a huge place and the tables inside are a bit tightly packed but thankfully we went after the lunch time rush so were able to get a table inside because it was so hot outside, they do have seats outside on a balcony along the front though. Really beautiful look to the place, modern with a Mediterranean feel.We didn't stay to eat but the menu did look very enticing. Service was very welcoming, inviting and friendly, thanks to the young lady working the bar, she was very helpful. Drinks choice was good at reasonable prices. If we get chance to visit Leigh-on-Sea again I'd definitely like to try the food there.

We drove across from London for an evening in Southend and decided to stop for some dinner here before we headed to the seafront. From beginning to end we were treated with warm smiles and top hospitality almost as if we were family members! The generosity of the owner was above and beyond.....we were given huge amounts of starters on the house (multiple mixed mezes, bread and also complimentary baklava and tea) Our main course was a selection of Adana, mixed kebab and chicken shish- all of which was cooked to perfection and served with delicious fresh salad. I ordered the pan seared scallops and pork belly to start. I thought the scallops were slightly overcooked but apart from that, the pork belly was super soft and the miso dressing complimented it well. Would have been nice to have more cress on my plate however. My partner ordered the cheesy garlic bread, could do with a little bit more garlic but the bread was very soft. For mains, my partner ordered the 16oz ribeye with triple cooked chips, red wine sauce garlic mayo wedge. And myself, I ordered the wagyu ribeye with triple cooked chips, bone marrow sauces and spicy burnt chilli dressing for the wedge. Both steaks were amazing but the wagyu steak was definitely our favourite! The bone marrow sauce does get sickly after a while, same for Grana Padano on the wedge. But the spicy burnt chilli and crispy onions dressing on the wedge was soo refreshing, couldn’t recommend that dressing enough! Very happy with our experience.
