Upon our arrival, we were greeted by our server, Yasmin, who asked us how many people, indoor or outdoor seating and if we had any dietary restrictions. Quick, efficient and polite service. Our server, Yasmin, was polite, cheerful and attentive, can’t ask better and to be honest can’t remember a time when I’ve had better service, she made the (rare) trip out that much more special. The rooms of the restaurant are divided up in a way that they feel intimate despite having plenty of spaces. The table service was very slow, initially just to get drinks ordered and order food. We skipped starters and ordered mains, the chicken fajitas lacked flavour. BBQ ribs with spicy fries which weren't spicy. Chipotle meatballs were good but was told to share the wraps that were brought with the fajitas, bear in mind the wraps are small anyway there was only 9 for 3 people! The food was presented well, looked good but lacked real flavour. We ordered desserts, ice cream, Chocolate churros and a Sundae. The Sundae had to be eaten with a pudding spoon and didn't fit in the glass, asked for a tall sundae spoon but they don't have them! Several other people on other tables also struggling to reach the bottom of the Sundae too! The churros were dark brown over cooked and crunchy enough to hurt! The waiter replaced both and took them off the bill. Second attempt was better! We won't rush back.

We went in for dinner on a sunny, warm, Saturdays they had tables outside but they were all being used so we sat inside. There are two bars, we was in a fairly quite one but the one at the back we could here chatting and laughing, it definitely made it feel welcoming. The bar staff were very good, we ordered food and had a couple of beers. The food was excellent! It felt like proper quality pub food. Faversham is definitely worth a visit. If you are planning a trip to the town make sure you pop in here for lunch.

The studio is full of an eclectic mixture of various local ‘makers’ and artists and it is well worth a look. They also have a vegan cafe as a major part of the establishment which, as it turns out, is extremely good. A lot my friends have always complained about the lack of establishments serving food that fits in with their dietary requirements, although this is not so much the case now. Our Hosts Sam and Martin were brilliant and made the visit worthwhile. The venue is beautiful, and felt private and intimate, with views across the estuary, and still being less than an hour drive from London. We viewed the venue back in May 2023 and were made to feel so welcomed and special from the moment we entered the building, giving us all those wedding feels straight away, and the feeling this venue being the one for us. Weddings are known for being stressful, but The Ferry House team are so helpful and on hand to answer any questions responding quickly, in particular Sam our wedding coordinator who took all that stress away from us making our wedding planning experience a really enjoyable one! The day of the wedding was nothing but chilled vibes, no stress or worries and this was all thanks to Taryn, Sam and the team who were on hand throughout the day to ensure we had everything we needed for a stress free morning getting ready for our big day. From providing breakfast platters, topping up our drinks and bringing that feel good vibe to the getting ready rooms and ensuring we were relaxed and soaking up every magical moment in the lead up to the ceremony. We had our ceremony in the barn and wedding breakfast in the event suite, and what beautiful set up these area are. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is, the deliciousness of the food (Clear plates all round is a winner in my eyes) and the attentiveness of the staff - we really couldn’t have asked for anymore. We had the two day package which meant we had the evening before with our immediate family sharing a grazing board of delicious sandwiches, meats, chutneys, cheeses and more, breakfast the morning of, and morning after the wedding included the options of cereal, and a full English from local produce. This made our wedding even more special and those wedding feels last a little longer - a week later we’ve still got family talking about how it felt like a lovely mini break and wedding blues are now sinking in wanting to do it all over again. The venue itself is remote, but in a beautiful, quiet area with stunning views - very picturesque. The rooms were clean, spacious and had stunning views on the waterside, all our guests said the beds were really comfortable and they felt welcomed and enjoyed their stay. It has rooms as well as a busy bar and a substantial restaurant. The building dates back several centuries, so the floors tend to be uneven and there are many steps. Generally it's a good place but just a few points mean it's not a great place. Firstly the staff are generally great , nothing is too much to ask for, but some of the staff are overfriendly. This was good and very tasty but I would have preferred a choice. All in all I would stay again but would I rush back I'm not sure.

Very secluded and wouldn't know your near the road. Visited with friends for lunch. Was nice to see pub had other customers and had offers on for Wonky Wednesday. Friendly welcoming staff. Had a bite of lunch. Had fish finger baguette ( which was huge portion and very filling), lasagna and salad, and Mousakka. All food was freshly made, piping hot (not the salad), and delicious. Let me say, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. 10/10. I was lucky enough to have just had nearly 2 weeks at Sandals in Jamaica where the food was top notch. This meal followed on wonderfully. There were four of us, and we were visiting Kent for a weekend. Came across this place on google and saw it had good reviews. The staff were so so lovely and the food was amazing. The portion sizes were great, apart from the chilli con carne, it could have been a bit bigger. Drinks were good, recommend the fajitas. When I first found this fabulous, charming, really cosy old country pub I lived nearby, there has been very little change in all that time. The Plough has a well deserved reputation for good pub food, their Sunday Roasts are a big attraction but it doesnt have to be a roast, they have an extensive Sunday Menu. Its always a risk with Roast Beef hoping it will be tender and not shoe leather! And it was tender. The potatoes were good and so was all the veg but we thought it a little skimpy for three adults. However we all enjoyed our meals. A very nice Sunday lunch and the icing on the cake was Bob the Parrot said 'Good Bye' as we left, I think that is a first for me in about 30 years LoL.

Firstly there's a decent sized car park, which was a relief for me as parking isn't my strong point. The pub is historically old and pretty much unaltered in the last few hundred years. What an amazing find. As you approach you can almost taste the food being cooked in the kitchens. So of course, even though we'd already eaten, I ordered a nacho main...Good choice...so tasty. The atmosphere felt quite lacking; it was cold, dark, and rather depressing. I understand that Mondays can be quiet, but the overall vibe left much to be desired.As for the staff, they came across as rather non-descript—neither welcoming nor unfriendly.
