Kids meals were very small and both my kids left not full and had to top them up later, but we ordered food from the small eaters menu. I would advise to size up if your child is over 3-4 years old. For adults, you will struggle if you're a vegeterian, but they do have a couple of options, like a very basic caesar salad (noting special but ok) which we had with some halloumi fries on side which tasted nice together. For the meat eaters out there, there should be no problem finding something. Our 2nd meal was a BBQ chicken stack. Simple but good. Service on the day was slow and it was hard to get a refill for the kids drinks, but, to be fair, we had been approached quickly to order our drinks, but after that it was not so great. We were served in total by 3 different staff members, but only one lady apologised for the delay, which was a nice touch. All in all, we did not have the best experience, but the food was ok, and we needed food.

Very good decor, excellent cleanliness throughout and courteous staff. We tried a fish curry with a red curry and lime base. The flavour was excellent and came with nice veggies. I've always been a Marinos person but thought we would try as its more convenient to us distance wise and found it to be really underwhelming and poor quality. Chips seem to be half cooked and sopping wet. (Anaemic to be honest, no crispy chips). The fishcake was burnt on the side and well over cooked. The battered sausage was sopping with oil. Not great. Portion size was OK. Very basic offering menu wise on the online click and collect options. think they need to look into cooking times for products and letting them stand to get the oil out first. Will stick to our usual chip shop as we know the quality is top with more options.

I also saw on the app that they offer Greek food so after seeing the picture of the SKEPASTI which is basically a shredded pork (like donner meat) gyros between two flat breads with cheese and chips , tomato and tzatziki. Yet again the management and staff were most friendly, efficient and accommodating. Sundays is roast dinner day and we both decided on the lamb shank, this was an excellent choice. Our mains of 3 belly porks were amazing, laid on a bed of deliciously creamy mash and green cabbage, topped with the wonderful crackling. Our friends agreed who'd chosen the same . I had scampi, chips, fresh salad and homemade slaw which again was very nice. Dessert for 2 people was a chocolate brownie and ice-cream...yum! Didn't need it after the the two courses but was a naughty treat. Sorry no pic, but our friends devoured it quickly and said it was moist and chocolatey and the combination was fantastic. All washed down with various tipples. We'll definitely return. Great pub.

We had a family get together with 25 of us. It was well organised, with meal choices sent in advance against each name, so no confusion when bringing out the meals. We all had a selection of food including roasts, burgers, salad, fish, kids meals and was all delicious, everyone got exactly what they ordered and food was hot. When we arrived and we walked into reception, no receptionist was on duty we waited about 2 or 3 minutes and was noticed by a member of staff who asked if we were waiting we said yes and then we were asked if some one had already seen us so we said no and were told some some would be with us shortly. Unfortunately we did not see Emily again and the service stopped until another staff member came by and asked if we were being attended to, we mentioned that were waiting to order so she said she could take our order, and did so. The bread and wine came and we enjoyed it, the white wine on special was a good shout, we also had a Chianti which was very nice. We were asked to keep the knives we used with the bread which we did think was a bit odd. The starters were served and most enjoyable. The mains were served, all very enjoyable. Dessert order was taken and served again very enjoyable. Apart from the confusion at reception and a bit at the table as It did take quite some time for the the food to be served however our visit and food was very good. Overall Boys Hall is a really great facility if you are visiting for the first time our advice is arrive a little early and maybe have a drink and take time to take in the hall and check out the family history its quite fascinating its all in the corridor at reception, check out the names and dates in the halls history.

That said, this was my second visit with friends and we arrived with high expectations as we were impressed last time. We were not disappointed. I will never return and anyone wanting to go there I would hesitate in doing so considering how expensive it is when the quality of the food is so poor. Impressive burger and big portion of fries. Onion rings proper ones homemade. The quality of the food was really good I even posted the fish and chips on the fish and chips Facebook page it deserved to be on there. I didn't even finish the chips such a good price £17.95. As it was late no one queuing for the chargers we finish soon after. Sauntered over noting it would be a pub we use for meals no hesitation. And great staff!

Everything about the evening was a fantastic experience, lovely table by the window with plenty of space, service was excellent, our waiters, Jamie and Mark were both perfectly attentive but not too much, very friendly and professional. The food was superb, we had lots of dishes so we could try a bit of everything. The Chorizo al Vino and Empanadas were a great way to start, followed by the steak sampler, green beans, portobello mushrooms, Humita, and thick cut chips (hot, crispy and fluffy, perfect!). The steaks were the best we have had, excellent cuts of beef, well cooked, perfectly seasoned, melt in your mouth tender, nothing left on the plate when we had finished! All the food was hot, well seasoned and good portion sizes. We had the Flan Casero and Churros for dessert as well as a sharing anniversary "pre-dessert" (thank you!). Espressos to finish and that made this, without doubt, the best meal out we have ever had. Service was well paced but never felt rushed. Don’t be fooled by initial appearances. The decor isn’t fancy or over the top, but the place is clean and tidy. Rather than fancy mirrors, fake palm trees and steam punk lamps this place delivers great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. It reminds me of the honest decent “greasy spoon” cafes of the 1980s - but the food here certainly isn’t greasy! Much prefer places like this where the money is invested in the service and food rather than somewhere else that charges £9.99 for a poached egg on sourdough toast for the privilege of sitting on a futon and eating it off a plank of varnished wood. I never leave here hungry. Can’t fault the food and the prices are competitive and value for the food you get. Everything is hot and cooked fresh. When it’s quiet I’ve had my meal served in well under ten minutes. The first time I didn’t believe it could be cooked fresh - but it was; every mouthful was tasty and hot, even half way through I was still burning my tongue! The staff here are all friendly and helpful. I’ve seen cafes with more staff than this run less efficiently, but here even when busy just one or two lovely ladies are rushing around delivering and taking orders so fast they just don’t seem to stop. And despite this I’ve never had a wrong order or been forgotten. The only downside is I don’t live close enough to visit daily. But then if I did I’d probably be 5 stone heavier by now!

After the first time I thought it could be teething problems but today (Sunday lunchtime) only one other table in there ( 2 people) so dead quiet, burgers and benders was all over cooked again and food didn’t come out altogether cooked 2 at a time . The outside garden is lovely, sunny with lots of seating options with a bridge that opens onto a playing field so plenty of space for kids if there wasn’t any play equipment as such. We didn’t eat, and didn’t actually see a menu but due to the welcome (not) received I don’t think we will be returning to find out! Suggest the Royal Oak on the other side of the village (see review of that) for a welcome worth returning for!

The room we stayed in was amazing with high end toiletries, fluffy towels and port and fudge for us to enjoy. We ate dinner and breakfast there. Delicious. The chicken starter was wonderful, and the scrambled eggs at breakfast gorgeous! The garden and bar was so relaxing to enjoy with drinks. A lovely 9km country walk with map from the pub from outside the door. Staff were amazing. Couldn’t do enough to help and really made the stay lovely. Loved everything.

On arrival the pub seemed to have very little people at tables and you could have picked a table almost anywhere. We was told there was no table service in the garden. We ended up sitting in the outhouse tent bit so not the garden. I still had to go up and order, not once was we asked how our food was, plates just left on the table after being finished and had to go to the bar to get and pay for the bill. The food was very expensive for what it was. The beef was average. The vegetables were fine but the roast potatoes almost tasted frozen, I don’t believe they was but I’m sure they had been re heated! They did not taste good! To sum up overall it was very bland and not worth anywhere near what it cost. And to then add a 10% service charge! This review is all about the restaurant. It was just past 10 am, so I expected the restaurant to be fairly empty, and it was. It was also clean and the staff were helpful except.... the breakfast counter staff were ignoring the customers. We were the only customers when we arrived, and we waited around 5 minutes to be served, which gave us a chance to really see that they were wondering around aimlessly, deliberately ignoring the queue that was forming. We could also see that the bacon was shrivelled up, the sausages were burnt, and the hash browns looked soggy. When we were asked what we wanted, suddenly a second member of staff appeared asking the other if she needed some eggs fried. She didn't, so the second lady left abandoning her colleague and ignoring the queueing customers! We paid over £18 for two breakfast baps, coffee, and tea. Although the bap was lovely and soft, the contents were dry and overcooked. Thankfully, you don't have to pay for ketchup, so 2 sachets later, the flavour of the bap was palatable. My verdict... overpriced and underwhelming. I must say I give 5 stars to the 2 ladies who were clearing the tables. They were so lovely and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and tidy.

There is nearly always parking space, although you can park in the Burger King carpark opposite for free. There are 2 disabled parking spaces left of the entrance. The toilets are always clean. We had high expectations for the Eastwell manor and though it was an iconic building on beautiful land sadly the staff we encountered were not 5* and I would not recommend the spa if you want service or serenity. It was also over crowded/overbooked and staff did not clear water away so also unsafe.As above the spa was overbooked and I only saw spa staff once clearing water but they did not manage to remove much, as a result the floor was extremely wet like an ice rink and I managed to fall badly and hurt myself. When speaking to the reception at the spa they did nothing to help me, and were more concerned with noting my name and where it happened. Because it was overbooked there were guests without space to sit and it was very busy. Not very relaxing. The hot tub was broken and when asking reception she had been unable to provide an update other than maintenance are coming but it remained cold most of the day and I am not sure if it was ever warm enough. All the jacuzzi were tepid so the spa seem to keep the spa colder for some reason anyway. Not great to have a Luke warm jacuzzi. The spa itself did not have any tea or even allow tea which was again extremely disappointing because the reception staff in the spa were rude and more interested in laughing and showing each other their phones then with the customers. I genuinely did not expect that the entire hotel would be shut after the spa. We planned to go have a bottle of bubbles before departing but the entire venue was shut for a wedding. The staff were stressed and rude when we came up to the hotel even though no one at the spa or when we booked advised us the hotel would be shut in the evening. Additionally we would not have booked out spa day on the Friday if we knew. Why were we not told, I called to book initially and the reservation team and the confirmation email said nothing. I am very unhappy with a majority of were rude. .
