I have been to this pool 4 times as an American woman. Today I had an issue that made me feel unsafe. I had to join a lane that had a Korean man in it. There is a sign that tells swimmers to swim in a circle if more than 1 person is in the lane. I did this. The man sharing the lane refused and continued to swim in the middle, running into me and touching me. Twice I had to stop because he ran into me. Once he touched me on the inside of my leg (maybe an accident). I believe that he was trying to intimidate me so that I would leave the lane (maybe because I am an American woman). When I tried to report this to the guard, they were more worried about telling me to take off my swim lap counter on my wrist than understanding what the man was doing). The guard continued to watch me and interrupt me even after I took off my watch. It made me feel like I was the bad person, not the man running into me. It scares me that the pool did not try to figure out the problem. They were only worried about my swim counter, which I was never told to take off before today. I now know the rule and will not wear my swim counter. But the guards should be more worried about safety of women in the pool.
