Loved this place! Came every morning for a pastry (especially the Vasco cake!) and a cafe con leche when in town. They are fast, efficient, and they sure had plenty available. It was a great breakfast or sweet treat stop with so many delicious choices! Definitely recommend going!

We visited this bakery after hearing it recommended for its Basque cheesecake, and it did not disappoint. The cake was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it while visiting San Sebastián

Cannot fault this corner bakery where over 6 days we went there everyday and tried something different for breakfast accompanied by the best cappuccino. Everything is made in house.

This is one of those stores were you spend some time trying to decide what to get, because after all you want to try everything they have. Those pastries are so aesthetically pleasing! And the prices are very reasonable, not high at all for the offered product. For us, it was the first place where we tried the traditional gâteau basque and we absolutely loved it, even though we can't quite compare it to any other. Would definitely come back to this place if I get the chance so I can get more unique and beautiful pastries.

We came back because of fond memories for the first Piñones we had in Spain many years ago. The place has more than kept up with the times and seems to have stepped up its game with wonderful pastries. They still have Piñones of course and a simply mouthwatering Pastel Vasco

Cheesecake cheesecake and more cheesecake. The most famous place for cheesecake in the region. Is it the best one? You'd have to go to the other places that some locals say are also good or better, but it's certainly a fantastic cheesecake, and the best one I had. Basque style.

The line is crazy but you should just get it and order quickly. Honestly, I expected more from this place but it was pretty mid, extremely overpacked and loud. The basque cheesecake we came for was €6,50 for the portion which they split into two slices for better taste I guess was really good (but we expected something much more delicious for the price and hype this place has). When you take it to go they just give prepacked box with cheesecake inside, maybe this affected somehow

Great cheesecake! Place is packed pretty much every night we passed by it though you can share a table with other people. Easier to get seats if you’re not a big group.

The line was pretty short on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered their famous Basque cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. It is lighter and creamier than I've ever had and less sweet. My only regret was getting only one slice per person!

Incredible. We were only going to have the cheesecake as we heard this was the top place to go. But we couldn’t resist the other dishes too. The gentleman who served us was so friendly and always smiling. We had the meatball, stuffed mussels, plate of jamón and chorizo. Everything was exceptional.

I came a little earlier so missed the big rush, but it was still busy. Good part is I didn’t have to wait in line, only a few minutes at the counter. After trying it I get what the hype is all about. Best description I give is that it was very flavorful, creamy, and the most delectable cheesecake I’ve had. I would say it was a cheesecake with a consistency and texture of flan. Compared to the amount of business they get it’s quite small inside so seating can be difficult. Going early, helped as I was able to secure a place to sit and enjoy my cheesecake.

Fabulous cheesecake, worth the hype and a must when visiting San Sebastián. Joined the queue 15 minutes before opening and definitely worth the wait. All seems a little chaotic but we were served very quickly. Delicious creamy cheesecake €6 per slice.

Nice little brunch spot. We were a bit hesitant to come here after seeing the menu and pictures but were glad we did. The food and smoothies were delicious. Super lightweigt but fulfilling breakfast. Plenty of options to choose from. We really liked the place and would come back 😊

Great little cafe for a healthy breakfast or brunch. We tried their açai and also had some of their Avocado toast. The açai is great, really flavourful with the perfect amount of fruit and granola! The coffee is ok, with the cafe definitely providing better juice options!

San Sebastián Spain -Clean healthy food highly recommended. They had some unique fruit and granola bowls, fruit smoothies and many other all natural treats. Good coffees but no iced coffees, all hot coffees. Very small, not a lot of seating.

Went to Donostia-San Sebastian for a 3 day trip and came here every single morning! I enjoy eating healthy and it’s sometimes hard to find a spot… everything was fresh and made with care. They were really sweet here and no matter how busy, we’re attentive and got everybody what they ordered in timely manner. Everything I ordered off the menu was delicious and would be ordered again! Definitely check this place out!!

I love this little tourist spot right in between gross and Old Town on the river. The décor is pretty adorable. It is warm and inviting clean and crisp and trendy enough to match the friendliness and light snootery of the baristas and service staff who is talented with latte art. The baked goods are strong offerings, as are the brunch offerings. The poached eggs are pretty raw and their take on hollandaise is unique as is the benedict base of a multigrain bread that was great but surprising. The first time I went here, I got lucky and was offered a table quickly. The next time there was a large line of tourists, this place has capital city style pricing. So expect the tourist experience.

Really great coffee! They do multiple types of specialty beans each day and it's brewed perfectly. The food is also delicious- I recommend the turkish eggs, eggs benedict, and lady salome. There's ample room to sit and they even open early (well relative to all the other coffee places!). Went here twice in the 5 days I was on vacation here.

World class coffee cafe. They literally have six Geisha pour over coffees on hand that can change your life. They have regular espresso drinks as well, but what attracted me was the super high quality pour overs, as I'm a bit of a home roasting Geisha coffee snob. You might need to wait in line for a table, but it moved fast and we were seated in five minutes. Menu en Espanol, so bust out your translator or have the chrome plugin installed in your browser. The moment you enter, you know you are on for a special treat and the food offerings for brunch show the same care and attention to quality as their coffee. Many dishes are sandwiches with the lightest fluffiest toasted bread (gluten free, too). I had the Reuben at the suggestion of our server, it was really incredible. If you never had the pleasure to taste a Geisha coffee, this is your chance. If you want a high quality food destination for lunch, this is your stop. Highly recommend their staff, too, who will let you smell the coffee beans before you order. Take their advice on both coffee and food. Baristas are world class and know their stuff!

Finally a decent coffee in Spain/France! A perfect cup of magic. Strong and full bodied with just the right amount of fresh, creamy milk. Great temperature too. We came back the next morning to enjoy more coffee and sample the food, all of which was great! (tomato toast, croque, acai bowl and banana bread). All the pastries looked fresh and delicious. The ambience was chill - the Strokes were playing and the doors were open to a nice view over the river. Shout out to the male waiter who was super friendly, hardworking and relaxed.

It is worth a stop, but a bit overrated in my opinion. There is better coffee available in the city, the service was below average, but it is a beautiful space. The barista breakfast is a great way to try a few different coffee styles, would recommend it. I think you can get better food and coffee elsewhere (and much cheaper), but Simeone is worth a stop.

We came here for coffee and tried the Geisha espresso as a double—absolutely recommend it! It had a dark, roasty aroma with lots of complexity and a beautiful aftertaste. We also had a matcha latte, which was excellent, so this is a spot for both coffee and matcha lovers. The café itself is modern, spacious, and nicely designed with good lighting and cute furniture. It was easy to talk to each other, though the place was very packed, and we had to queue. Because of that, the staff felt a bit overworked and the service came across as a bit mediocre. For food, we shared the Señorita Croque. The egg was softer than we prefer, but overall it was really tasty and worth the money. The café felt clean, youthful, and Wi-Fi was available, which is a plus. All in all, a great place for both specialty coffee and food, though expect it to be busy.

You have to get there early or else you’ll might have to wait for a table. The place was pretty cold, no one took off their jackets. The coffee and service were good though, the granola yogurt bowl was very good.

Stumbled across this place that looked so old school. The churros were okay, not bad at all, but we had better in Madrid. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is wonderfully old school. Priced are good and the kids loved it.

Great and authentic chocolate and churros! We got the recommendation from a local and he said it's the best place to try it. It's a cantina-like restaurant which feels definetely local and not at all touristic. Can recommend :)

I didn’t come here for the chocolate and churros, which was my first mistake. My second—amd final—mistake was ordering the seafood paella. Instead I was served a soggy “seafood” pasta dish. The servers claimed that’s what I asked for, but it wasn’t. Needless to say, it was all downhill from there.

The best churros we've ever had! The chocolate was not too sweet and the churros were freshly made. Really decent price to. The place is very busy and feels a bit like a greasy spoon, but don't be fooled, it is a good choice for cheap food.

We had such an amazing experience here! It is super different from the places around - The interior is very cute, super cozy with a rustic design. They have several vegan options, it is pretty reasonable priced and super delicious! (Especially the chili was very wholesome) The service was also super kind and sweet :)) can only recommend !!

Australian here 🇦🇺 – what a gem! 💎 This was such a lovely spot to stop for lunch. I had the lamb roll (delicious!) and my partner went for the soup, which was just as good. It’s a family-run restaurant with a quirky, welcoming charm that makes you feel right at home. Honestly, you won’t get a bad meal here. I’ve noticed a few negative comments below, but in my experience they don’t reflect this place at all. If you’re in the area, you must stop by – highly recommend!

Amazingly Fresh!! We ate here nearly every day. It was our lunch and sometimes breakfast go-to spot for wonderfully crafted sandwiches with fresh and often in-house made ingredients and bread. The staff was SO nice and accommodated our English even though we didn’t expect it. They even have an organic produce market two doors down. Very clean place with attention to detail.

I really enjoyed my time here. My vegetarian wife has had a harder time travelling in Spain and loved her veggie burger. I loved my Reuben. The atmosphere is calm, the decorations charming, everything was spotless and the staff kind. A really enjoyable lunch

Beautiful tavern which preserve the old school wooden style look. Beside the beautiful decor, the food was also as good. Their sandwiches were all worth trying (the bread is like heaven) and their soup of the day (lentil soup for my visit)was delicious. The orange juice was also freshly squuezed. Definitely worth the visit when you're in San Sebastian.

The people first of all are great! The interior is like you are transferred to a Celtic fairytale, it is incredible! The sandwich was very good but the coffee is basic

Super cute family run business. The owners are a brother and a sister, welcoming you with an open heart. Coffee was good, but the many friendly interactions with locals you can watch make it also a heart warming experience.

My favorite stop in San Sebastian! Get the toasted brioche with sesame seeds and jam (I got raspberry and marmalade). The jamon iberico tomato avocado toast was also phenomenal! We ordered a second round because it was so good! The owners were so lovely and kind, highly recommend!

I can’t rate the service because you have to order in the bar. The food is just Ok, if you’ve never tried pintxos you may enjoy the place but there are better options nearby for the same or less price. Avoid Croqueta pintxo is tasteless just save your money or order another thing.

3 breakfasts in a row during our stay in Donostia. Lovely ladies, a very good cappuccino like an Italian one! Loved the croissant and the yogurt with fruit and granola. A very cozy place

How lucky we were that this was next to our VT apt. Fresh orange juice, excellent coffee, and there’s a magician somewhere making all the baked goods on site. They have some gluten free items as well. We went there every day and had pan de choco, croissants, cheesecake with delicious berries on top, cookies, cafe con leche, espressos, and a cream and apple square of deliciousness. The people working here are really patient and friendly. No wonder it’s packed, but there are always seats somewhere. It will be missed. Adios!

Found a place with really good oatmilk con leche. Happy to stumble across it while just walking.

Ate here 3 times, I had the vegan oats each time which were delicious, with added protein powder, peanut butter and granola, there was also a Nutella toast (vegan) and an avocado toast, my partner had the protein pancakes, eggs. Which he said were all great. Oat milk available, had a flat white and an Oat milk Lotus cappuccino.

Try the eggs Benedict croissant (I asked to replace the salmon with bacon for mine) and a flat white. It is a small place and gets crowded very quickly so make sure you're in early (before 9:30) or be prepared to wait for a table. The outdoor seating area is particularly appealing especially during a sunny weekend day.

Great coffee here. The salmon and avocado toast has a generous filling. It is a very small cafe with a few seats within and the seats are tightly packed with one another.

Pretty little coffee shop serving breakfast as well! :) opening hours could be sooner eg. From 7:30. We came at 10 and did not catch a table. People where standing in line already. Then came again right after opening - I had breakfast twice - 1. Mango bowl - kinda surprised how frozen mango was, felt like I had ice cream for breakfast :D but it was delicious indeed. 2. Croissant with eggs benedecit - my god, amazing. Coffee tastes great, highly recommend this place :)

I've visited this lovely café twice and both times have been a real treat. On each visit, I enjoyed an extra hot coffee and a delicious slice of apple pie – the perfect pairing. The coffee was exactly how I like it: extra hot and full of flavor, and the apple pie was fresh. Highly recommended!

Food is good, but the prices are a little too high. Especially 9€ for the porridge or 4€ for a small orange juice in paper cups. They do not know how to make tea, but anyway it is a coffee bar. We have been there twice and the service was ok. It is very hot inside, so try to get a seat outside.

We sat down to eat lunch at a table that had just been vacated. The waiter while he was clearing the table asked if we wanted lunch (in English) and we replied that yes we did. We sat and patiently waited for him to set the table and bring us menus. We watched while instead he proceeded to greet 2 other parties (who spoke Basque/Spanish). He gave them menus and took their drink orders while completely ignoring us. He then stood with his back to us, so we got up and left. I had heard of some anti tourism sentiment, but this was the first and only time in our 5 days in San Sebastian that we truly experienced it. It didnt feel good.

Our standby for breakfast while in SS. Pancakes were such a hit with the kiddos I came back everyday for them. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches were good as well. Highly recommend.

Ordered a coffee and settled in to work for a bit, there were several free tables but after a couple of hours the owner told us to leave, saying "this isn't an office." Decent place, but not exactly the most customer oriented.

I was there with my parents just by accident because it was is close to my hotel. The food was tasty and suficient portions. It tastes autentic and as made at home. The staff was friendly and nice. I will come again.

Got the calamares, they were nice and only four euro. Other people's food looked lovely.

Delicious menu of the day with several options including a bottle of drink. They even offered a dish which was not on the menu for our child. The waitress said that she always make this dish for her son and he loves it! We took that and of course our child loved that too!

One of the few places in University area offering a large variety of take-out food during the closing period due to covid. Very useful for people working nearby. Good job.

The "calamares" and "patatas ali-oli" are nice, especially for the price. They used to had perfect "pulpo de gallego", but now it's either not available or the servings are really small (but now it comes with french fries). Actually the place is very popular among natives in comparison to surrounding ones. The owner is always sitting inside, and her family is working there. Three stars because of lack of pulpo. As for me, you'd better increase the price than exclude it from the menu or dilute with fries. Update: Pulpo is back! Changes to 5 starts!

This cafe is very quaint. I enjoyed my time here. The food was nothing special, something that I could easily throw together for much less than they were charging. But nonetheless I think it was a good experience. I’m glad I went. Also their smoothies are not smoothies (according to an American), they are just a purée of the fruit). Anyways they have a wide range of menu items and if you have nothing better to do the cafe has a nice setting to just sit and relax.

Very bad experience. Since the employee attitude. One of them told us not to take photo with bad attitude (we just would like to share a photo in Instagram since the deco seemed cute), at the same time she tuned back making some comments with her other colleague assuming that I do not understand Spanish( and actually I do). At the same time when other clients came in, she just turned to a totally different face to the “locals”, and Then we can see there are photos posted here by other guys…

A nice cafe, the coffee was really good and the atmosphere is nice. I had a salmon & avocado toast with a poched egg, it was good but the salmon was a bit too salty for me. Also the staff seemed a bit unfriendly, nothing major, I just didn’t feel that welcome there.

Great stop for a reasonably priced good cup of cappucino while visiting skofja Loka. Price is more reasonable than other places judging from the huge crowd of young slovenian having their morning beer. My cappucino was 1,20euro

I have been coming to this cafe for many years. But this will be my last!!!! The man running the cafe with the shaved head and tattoos spoke to me in an aggressive tone when I brought back my cup. I don't expect to be spoken to in this way as a paying customer!!!

Fantastic little bakery and Cafe, absolutely must-have Basque cheesecake - it's like eating a creamy cloud. Really friendly service, and a lovely assortment of cakes and pastries to choose from (which is difficult, as everything is perfection!). The almond cake is also delectable, and if it's too much to eat in one go, you can always take some away with you!

We stumbled upon this small café by chance, tucked under the arches on the corner of an old building. With its small tables, it charmed us with its offerings, so we returned the next morning. The coffee is good, the fresh juices are healthy, and they offer a variety of healthy breakfast and brunch options, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan meals. Everything was delicious. The prices are a bit high, but we’ll definitely return.

It’s a lovely (and cheap) café to have a quick bite in central San Sebastian. The tostadas were fresh and delicious and the coffees were great, too. They had oat milk which is always appreciated! The service could’ve been faster, but with so many people it’s expected.

Visited everyday since arriving in San Sabastion and will be one of my most missed spots when leaving. They have some of the best Chai I've ever had as well as having a vegan breakfast sandwich option, fresh fruit, and a smoothie!

Tasty and friendly breakfast on Gorka square. When you need more than a coffee and a pastry, Amelie delivers. Fresh squeezed orange juice, tasty warmed croissant with ham and cheese, several types of breakfast bagels, empanadas, tomato toast and very good coffee. Lovely cafe tables looking over green Gorka square and super friendly staff. Breakfast for two with warm sandwich, cappuccino and large fresh OJ, and bottled carrot/OJ was 18 euros

We went there for breakfast. The couple that was attending, which I presume were the owners were very gentle with us. We ate toasts, omelette and sandwich mixto (han and cheese). Specially the last one very well presented and yummy. My little kid enjoyed it a lot. I truly recommend this place for breakfast. You have a menu for breakfast for less than 5 euros with coffee, orange juice and toast or croissant.

Strawberry Cheesecake was done very well, it is wet and milkish, its been a long time since I have last tasted such a nice cheesecake. Staff speaks perfect English which is very critical to International guest like me, very exceptional cafe in San Sebastian.

We were here in July 2019. The rating is due to our second visit in this cafe. If I had not visited again, my rating would be higher. It has to be one of those things though, I can't think of anything else that set me apart from the other people who came into the cafe. I won't ponder here which of the cases is actually worse.

Great little spot for pastry and coffee. The spanish omelette was delicious and filling for less then 2 euro. Coffee was proper. Cortado done just right. Husband and wife couple are very friendly and seemed to love their cafe. Love the layout of the space being on a wedge corner.

Great, quick service for bfast. We had yogurt with cereals and a croissant with butter & marmelade. And of course a flat white (cafe con leche doble carga). All in all a great start of the day and now …. Off to the beach!! And as it all looked so well taken care of, I took another flat white and brownie.

Pretty nice smoothie place. Right across from the gym and smartly offering protein shake smoothies. The acai bowl here was nice but not frozen enough and I would've liked more toppings such as mango, kiwi and peanut butter considering the price. Instead the toppings are just apple, banana and museli which is okay. The menu doesn't have peanut butter as an option anywhere, and there's no banana/pb type of smoothie which is a shame.

We had a mixed experience here. Positives were that this has nice shade outside in the morning to sit & watch the world go by.
