I was so excited to come here for a coffee and breakfast but unfortunately I left a bit disappointed. Since this is a coffee roaster you would expect a good coffee but this was really not great. I ordered a flat white but the milk was steamed super bubbly and not silky at all. The coffee tasted weak despite ordering a small size. The food was very tasty though! I ordered a breakfast bun and that was good. Service was great too. Sitting outside in the garden was a nice atmosphere too. 😄 Anyways, I’d love to come back here for the food but I definitely think they can work on their coffee. So for now, I will get my coffee somewhere else in Nelson.

Absolutely stunning atmosphere! The trees and greenery with the wooden seating was very appealing to the eye. Unfortunately, the coffee was not great and the yogurt parfait wasnt tasty at all. Some of the other baked goods looked nice, so I'll try those if we ever come back here.

Great atmosphere and lots of food/drink offerings. It's a popular spot with locals and tourists alike. Reasonable pricing and good experience overall. It's spacious for waiting to make an order. Clean and woodsy feels here.

With a nice rustic interior design in the cafe along with a spacious backyard garden area where people can read, hang out with friends, the cafe is a hidden gem sitting in a rather quiet part of the city. The homemade chocolate croissant is tasty with flaky pastry! We ordered the cappuccino and dandelion tea. They are good, up to cafe standard. One thing to mention is the tea was served too hot. We cannot drink it straight away. My partner burns his tongue a little bit.. But after all it’s an awesome place to chill in the afternoon with a wide range of reasonable priced baking& drinks. Would come back to try the breakfast one day!

Probably some of the best coffee I have had! Came here on a recommendation, and expectations were surpassed. The staff was very friendly and quick, with both the coffee and breakfast food tasting great! Their drip coffee is rich in flavor (I got their dark roast), and the breakfast sandwich was a great mix of savory bacon with fresh tomatoes on egg. Definitely stop in when you can.

Delicious coffee and an excellent breakfast sandwich — very good! The space has a neat indoor setup and a nice outdoor area. It’s a busy spot, but service is quick and efficient. The baked goods are tasty too, with great vegan options available.

Oso Negro is next-level incredible. Let me tell you about The Gobbler ... the best god damn turkey sandwich in all of BC, hands down. Stacked on fresh sourdough, layered with turkey and homemade cranberry sauce that tastes like your grandma made it with love and a little extra sass. Every bite is perfection ... sweet, savoury, soft, crisp. A sandwich masterpiece. But it’s not just about the food - the staff are kind and attentive, the service is quick and friendly, and the place is spotless. The product placement and layout are chef’s kiss 💋 everything feels curated but cozy. You can tell it’s a place run with heart and pride. Oso Negro is all aces, all day. If you're passing through Rock Creek and don’t stop here, you’re missing out on the most darn tooti ' nana loves you, yum yum sandwich.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have dined at in a long time! Great service and menu selection. This is not your typical Italian experience, very creative options. We went multiple times for lunch, happy hour and dinner. We tried the pizzas, unique & delicious. I really enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball (LARGE!!!). I highly recommend this place if visiting Nelson BC.

The food and atmosphere is a 10 out of 10… the service however was really disappointing. It was no one in the restaurant and our waitress ignored us the entire time. We have to wave to get her attention to give us the bill. Overall the pizza was absolutely amazing. One of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely going back again.

This place was recommended both online and at our air bnb. We had the chicken pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. Both were amazing dishes. We sat at the pizza counter which was entertaining for the kids, the chefs were great company also. All the staff and our server were fantastic. I Would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Beautiful restaurant. My wife is very particular about her pizza and prefers Italian style wood oven. Marzano's was just the right place. We ordered pickup for a margarita and pepperoni pizza, and both looked and tasted great. Highly recommended.

4.5 overall. Great food and great service. Gets very busy here and would highly recommend making reservations. Would highly recommend the pasta or risotto . The serving size is just right. Limited patio space in the summer time also. Worthwhile coming here to have some great Italian food.

Went in for some pizza when visiting Nelson. Was so happy with the quality. The crust was thin, but not soggy, perfect chew! We had the prosciutto and funghi pies and both were delicious. Will definitely come back next time we're in town. Highly recommended!

Excellent cafe! With tasty food offerings and a comfortable atmosphere. The coffee at John Ward is the best in Nelson hands down and I always make sure to stop in here atleast once while I am visiting Nelson.

Very cute coffee shop. Service was lovely, and several vegan treats. Ordered a black cold brew, which was good but could use a bit more punch. Would return for sure!

A beautiful place to be on a Sunday morning . Their breakfast sandwich is delicious with a nice fresh frittata and free range eggs . The person who serve me was super nice and smiling .

Interior vibes are fantastic, lovely clean but cozy feel, outdoor seating is on Nelson’s Baker Street, providing a lively atmosphere and a great place to do some work or chat with a friend. Coffee is good, and the matcha white chocolate cookie is delicious Overall 10/10

If you’re used to getting a yummy chai latte- don’t recommend getting one here. Was told that their chai had enough spice and flavor and was sadly very disappointed as it was very bland. Also got the croissant breakfast sandwich and it was ok, very basic with just ham, cheese and tomato. Would have loved to see a dairy free option as I had to peel my cheese off and pass it off to my partner, some pesto or sauce would have added that extra bit of elevation to something so plain.

Good coffee and really tasty treats. You can tell the pastries are fresh — a few people nearby even mentioned they come just for those. The place has a relaxed feel, and you notice locals stopping in, which says something. Service was friendly but not rushed. It’s a solid spot if you’re looking for a chill break and something sweet.

We went for a quick grab breakfast in the morning. Asked them to customise our breakfast sandwiches and they did it amazingly. The chai lattes and the americano were amazing too. The cookie and baked goods section looked too good. Service was pleasant. The girl taking orders had a big smile while taking orders and inspite it being so busy.

Went there two days when we had a holiday in nelson. Muffins are really nice, they have different selections of them every day and they are not too sweet. We had black forest, almond banana, pecan and black cherry muffins during these two days. But the breakfast bun is alright, too small for its price ($7-$8). Coffee is okay. We also ordered some orange dark chocolate cheese cake. It looks amazing but the cream cheese is SO sweet, it feels like burning our throats.. if you like really sweet stuff you will be okay

Great coffee shop! Great coffee! The Salted Dark Chocolate Cookie is amazing look at the size of that! The baristas were lovely, vibes were great. Love the outdoor sitting area, 100% will be back next time we are in town.

The cutest little coffee shop! Coffee was amazing, and muffins were delicious. This is one of our absolute favorite places to visit when we’re in Nelson. It was hard for us to avoid buying any of the cute merch too!

Baked goods amazing, coffee awesome. Best breakfast sandwich I've had in a while. Capocollo with caramelized onions, some tasty hollandaise. Wow. Not my first visit and I will be back. And I'll tell anyone and everyone. Awesome.

All I have to say is that charging $6.30 cents for a peanut butter brownie is ridiculous amout to charge. It did not taste anywhere close to warranting that price! They also don't post their prices beside their items so you gotta stand in line all the way to the till before you find out the price. Even the cashier seemed embarrassed that it cost that much. 🤨 Never going back.

We went to this place to have some breakfast. The food was good and tasty. They had good coffee. But the wait for the food was a bit long, even if there were not too many people in it, can happen. The service was good, they asked if everything was going well and they were very sympathetic. Good atmosphere .

This is a bit of a retro diner! You walk in and it's like your back in a small town where everyone is friendly and knows everyone. The food was great we had a little bit of a wait for our food but the atmosphere is friendly and just feels relaxing

I don't know why I have never stopped in here to eat. This is a cute little restaurants in Nelson BC and it has a wide variety of menu items to choose from. I decided on eating the biggest breakfast they could offer anybody and hands down it was so good. I don't normally like sausage but it was really really good besides the pancakes that were plentiful. If I could change anything I think it would just be the workers be more attentive to people wanting to order. Or maybe it's just me. But overall this is a great 50 Styles kind of restaurant with some of the older stuff memorabilia that you haven't seen in a long time if you're my age serious thank you I will definitely be back.

Came with my 6 year old son and ordered the mac and cheese for him and the Montreal smoked meat sandwich for me. The food was sooo tasty but the Mac and cheese was the real star! My son loved all the vintage decor. We will be back every time we visit Nelson. Staff were very friendly and great service. Definitely a favorite of ours :)

Delicious brunch for a reasonable price. So glad we chose this out of all the options. Great eggs Benedict and loved the potatoes. A local spot with nice staff and a relaxing atmosphere.

I've gone here about 4 times with my family, it's a lovely place! The staff are incredibly attentive and sweet. The food is delicious and you get so much for so little money! I love this place and we drive a few hours every couple months to go here as a treat. If I lived locally I'd go everyday. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's a little messy but that's what you get from an old diner that's a small business but it's not dirty at all.

This is such a great little restaurant and community hub. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. The food is simple and delicious, made with love. I would highly reccomend this spot

It's been many years since we've visited. This spot is one of the places our whole family loved to visit when living here. Excellent French toast & breakfast still great. Clean, fast & friendly staff. They have a couple outside spots now. It can get very busy!

We ate breakfast both mornings in Nelson at The Full Circle Cafe @full_circle_cafe and both mornings hey knocked it out of the park. First day was salmon eggs benny and crab cakes, second day was crab cakes and grilled cinnamon bun. It was fairly busy both days but the service was great, food was amazingly delicious, and the cafe itself is in a heritage building so is very cool. Highly recommend if you are in Nelson.

Might be one of the best eggs benny I’ve ever had! I ordered the Nanny Eggs Benny, it came with poached eggs, goat cheese, bacon, grilled tomato, caramelized onion and hollandaise. It was absolutely to die for!

Full circle cafe has a comfortable, home-diner-y feel to it, which works to their favor. The staff is nice, and we did not have to wait too long for our food (We were a group of 5). It did feel a little cramped, but it is a smaller building, so not the worst if you are in a smaller party.

Our server was nice but also seemed to lack some social skills, it wasn't very busy but it was a quick 'what can I get you' and left. I had the French toast with ham, it was good but I think generally the place is overpriced for the size of the portions. my friends got the hash's and the sizing was pretty small and my ham was pretty sad but tasted good. The patio was closed while we visited.

Stopped by Full Circle in Nelson and had the French toast—so good! Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of sweetness, and beautifully plated. Cozy vibe inside and friendly staff made it a great little brunch spot. Would definitely go back to try more off the menu!

Not a family friendly establishment/experience on my last visit. A young couple was trying to have breakfast with their toddler and the poor little guy couldn’t sit still so dad tried to walk around with him. He was told (rather rudely) to sit down or he would have to leave. It’s hard enough with a small child without being treated poorly for trying their best. Both parents were clearly tired and trying hard to keep him calm. There were other children walking around and I didn’t see that family get treated the same. It was busy and it was clear that the blond waitress doesn’t handle the pressure well. To top it all off a table of 5 was sat and the 5th chair was right in the middle of the aisle. Also myself and the young couples table was brought the bills without ever being asked if we wanted anything else, just being rushed out. You could see the defeat on this young families faces, the woman looked on the verge of tears before she got up put on a happy face and went and paid for her family’s meal. For all you know this was the one time they could go out. It’s bad enough how expensive a basic small breakfast is but to be treated so poorly is unacceptable.

It may change hands, I'm not certain, but the quality remains. Homemade jam, fantastic apple juice (real apple juice). Great food generally! It's been a favourite for 43 years. Kid friendly, vegan friendly & affordable. Long lines on the weekend but they've added an outdoor patio which is clever. Visit Packrat Annie's for great books & even read a book or two while you're waiting for food.

This cafe is also a bookstore and a record/CD store. It’s the perfect place to go for a coffee and a book read. The service is great and the food is fresh and healthy. Awesome place with lots of character!

Super cute place!! The service was fabulous and the lady serving us was so sweet (long dark hair, wearing an adorable watermelon dress). Also, DELICIOUS house made gluten free bread! Best breaky sandwich I've had in a very long time!

A cafe and a bookshop combined. What a cool idea! We recently enjoyed a lovely late breakfast there. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Anita loved the coffee and appreciated the refills. I enjoyed cruising the bookshelves as we waited for our food to arrive. Our meals (meat lover's benny and two egg omelette) were delicious and there was so much on the menu to choose from.

Came here for lunch and we really enjoyed it! We got the daily special and the Reuben, which were both delicious. To finish the meal off we got the lemon meringue pie and it was SO YUMMY! Service was quick and friendly. We also really enjoyed the decor inside. Remember to read the history of the building on the back of the menu. Thanks Daira!

We came in at the end of the night, and super busy. Told us food might take awhile, but was there within 10/15. We ate everything on plate, almost licking it.clean! You could tell waitress was tired, but busted her butt for us. Food was good price, and delicious Thanks!

Overall it was good but not exceptional. The presentation was fair but the quality was just above average. The staff wore faceshields in the seating area and were very friendly. The attention to detail needs work as 1 person in our group got the classic water Glass with lipstick. I felt I paid at the top end for the food offered.

Ohmygosh what a beautiful old hotel with an amazing restaurant with incredible food! Servings were huge so have leftovers for lunch! What I wanted wasn't on the menu but they had no issue making what I wanted. The beef is home grown and my hubby says it was the best beef he's ate in a long time!

Amazing food. I have not been disappointed with any food from any of the Hume's restaurants. Then again I suppose that's because they're all serviced by the same kitchen! :-) They do a phenomenal job and the food is always fabulous. I had the Macaroni and Cheese Balls and they are to die for!

Delightful! Cool old building with really interesting old photos (ask your server for stories), mocha was fantastic with real whipped cream (just add a pinch of salt to take it to the next level), vegetable benny was amazing (fried halloumi for the win), and the breakfast sandwich were all fantastic!

This was a really neat restaurant and the atmosphere was so cool. Very old school building and the design brings you back to early Nelson settlement. Great food and beer options. I will definitely come back.

Nice breakfast/brunch/lunch cafe. The food wasn't haute cuisine or anything, but it was tasty and homey. It's more of a classic diner, which was what I was looking for. Service was friendly and fast. I'd go there again.

Delightful, casual, local cafe with history in the area. Charlie & Daylen served us the featured sandwich (breakfast burrito) & our coffees. We probably could have shared the burrito it’s so hearty & big! Come with an appetite. They serve no.6 coffee (also a locally brewed brand) and feature a local artist on a gallery wall. A great spot for a Baker Street hang. I even stuck around to get some work done after my lunch meeting.

Server was happy to help customize a wrap to be vegan for me. It was divine! Also, their vegan baked treats were very tasty. Highly recommend!

This is a great little cafe. The food is all vegetarian or vegan and they generally have several gluten free options as well. They are known for their wide variety of daily muffin choices. The inside is rustic and comfortable. The outside has plenty of seating. I’ve come here several times now and both of the staff are always wonderful. One of the better cafes on Baker!

Just visiting Nelson and a friend told us to come here... now I think this will be our regular morning stop for the next 5 days👍🏼👍🏼. The vegan bagel was fantastic👍🏼👍🏼... very filling, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The blue berry muffin was top notch... and all this wrapped in a cool decor and atmosphere

Been waiting for 35 minutes for a sandwich..... only to be told after that time that they were out of the cheese. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait for sandwiches but for the price I paid I expected way better service! I'm about ready to demand a refund

L&C Bakery far exceeded any of my expectations! After checking online to place an order and finding out the date I wanted to pick up was unavailable, I reached out by email. Lisa responded the same day and was able to accommodate my order with no issues at all. The lemon meringue tart was phenomenal in both presentation and flavor – absolutely delicious! Thank you, Lisa and the entire team at L&C Bakery, for providing a great dessert to cap off our Mother's Day dinner. We will definitely be back for more!

We were looking for a place to get a good coffee and breakfast over the weekend, and boy were we happy to find l&c! The food was amazing, the coffee was perfect and the service and atmosphere was wonderful. It took us being back to Europe in lovely little cafes. They were such creative pastries but tasted amazing, and were so affordably priced! We would recommend the slice of quiche, chocolate almond croissants, mango cheesecake and the breakfast sandwiches. The barista even did the cutest thing with my pumpkin spiced latte! We will absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

Such a gem. Amazing fresh baked goodies, including real deal French croissants, macarons, and other franco-inspired treats. Great atmosphere too inside or out. Don't miss their Baker St location for take out too. Although the prices are a touch higher than you'd find in France, the quality is just as good!

I tried this cafe for the first time and only bought an iced latte, so my rating applies only to that. The latte was good but not exceptional in my own personal opinion. It just didn’t stand out as some other places (I bought 3 iced lattes from 3 different cafes just today. I’m on a latte binge 😆). This past week I’ve visited around 15 different cafes to try their lattes 😁. Last year I travelled to Europe for 2 months, visiting 15 countries, driving 17,000 kms and visiting 2-4 different (high-rated) cafes every day. You do the math. So I do have some experience with Espresso coffees and few are actually exceptional

Double chocolate cookie is one of the best cookies I've had. All of the pastries are delicious. But the lemon tart and the chocolate tart are very well made and tasty desserts.

I'm a student at the school nearby, it's my last year and I'm going to really miss the inviting people, and conversations I've had with buddies there, it is a tad bit expensive but definitely worth it!!! 10/10 please try there Turkey apple brie sandwich... Its the greatest sandwich definitely worth the $8!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this little store/cafe! When I moved from Rosemont, I was sad to think I wouldn’t have a store near by anymore, but now I’m even closer to one! I rarely ever need to go shopping for groceries or most necessities on my days off because it almost always has everything I need. Thank you to all who keep this place going! ❤️

I have been recently with my daughter for a coffee at the uphill market we really enjoy sitting outside. The drinks are top quality and the service is really good . A great addition to the neighborhood. We also bought some bacon (erics) I think it was outstanding.

This was a great cafe! Probably a top 10 mocha for me (made with oat milk)! The loaded breakfast wrap was SO tasty, though wasn't incredibly special (regarding its uniqueness). The cherry turnover though was top notch. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches. I usually go with a black drip coffee, which was good, but I also tried their mocha and it is the best I've had. Staff was nice, service was fast, good location.

Truthfully the best iced mocha I have ever had in my life. They even have chocolate whipped cream! The ONLY reason i didn't rate it 5 stars was because we went back the next day to try the food and get another coffee and they were closed! I thought it was a little strange to close on the weekends but im glad I got to try it once before we left town.

I don’t go to Sidewinders any more as of a few months ago, which is a shame because their coffee is delicious. However I noticed that each time I was ordering a large latte I was getting far less milk than a full cup, I’d remove the lid straight after it was served and my drink was a couple of inches below the top. I requested it be filled a couple times, and it still kept happening like they were trying to save money on milk. I then saw on their menu a breakfast sandwich, and that GF bread was like $2 extra. So I ordered the sandwich on GF bread and expected the price to be what was listed on the menu plus the $2 and tax. But it ended up being like $5-6 more than that and I wasn’t told at time of ordering but well after they had started making it. I politely asked the reason it was so much more expensive and I was told very curtly and with attitude that the GF bun was far larger and so they had to put more fillings on it. Instead of giving me the option of putting the same amount of filling on GF bread they just charged me double. Not good customer service repeatedly is really disappointing.

Overall I love going here for drinks, but it’s gotten more expensive like everywhere else and it has limited hours and closed on weekends which is a bit sad

Ive always been a big fan of A&W. Favorite Fast Food ever! Having it local here is great and the employees treat me well. The sad part is that their soda is always flat and its been flat for more than 10 years and needs more carbonation. Anytime i go i never get the combo meals for that exact reason otherwise I would.

The food is usually okay because I have to put my sandwich’s together I get disappointed. The service is miserable I mean literal the service is miserable they act like they just got the worse news and that they have something wrong every day of the week. The atmosphere is my favourite. But! The manager really has a grudge against myself and my friends for NO REASON AT ALL AND CONTINUES TO BAN US “forever”. Please community do not support this establishment. They have been under stipulation by human rights commission for discrimination and cultural assimilation. Thank you upper management for your great attitude.

This is a fresh place, with great AW options. The servers were eager to serve. When the order took a little longer then expected, the server compensated with extra French fries,(Thank you very much). Hope this location does very well.

They don’t speak English…. Isn’t a customer service job priority that works in fast food in an English speaking country supposed to know what’s on their menu? I feel sorry for everyone needing to go through this establishment….. the girl tried to argue and give sass to my husband about a menu item because she doesn’t understand him…. And clearly doesn’t know her own menu….lol like what is this country becoming? And takeout takes as long as a restaurant….. for fast food haha…

Orders are wrong so often through the drive in double check. I avoid it as often as possible, double check your order before driving away

Food is good, really bad service though! Have to repeat myself numerous times placing an order at the drive thru and aren't even polite at the window if they even say anything to you. Always double check your order as items are sometimes missed. Scanned for points and never actually got the points once checked at my house, this happened multiple times.

I like that they still service you Rootbeer in the iconic mug.

Most of the staff are not very welcoming, unfortunately. I was standing in front of the counter for at least 5 minutes, greeted them so they could notice me more. However, there was one girl who was literally standing in front of me, by the pastry shelf, and still ignored me until her coworker took over the till. It would’ve made sense if they were busy and couldn’t accomodate me as soon, but I was the only customer at the time, still got ignored even if there were 3 of them. The drinks were okay though! Would have been so much better if they were more welcoming and friendly to customers.

The service is really bad. I ordered a lactose-free cappuccino. However, I saw that she used regular milk, so I asked again just to be sure. She confirmed it was lactose-free milk. I tasted it—it was regular milk. I went back in and asked if I could see the lactose-free milk. She pulled one out of the cupboard and slammed it in front of my sister and me, splashing it all over us. We then said that the cappuccino was not lactose-free. She replied, “It’s a stressful day,” and said we’d have to wait until she made a new one. Then she proceeded to make 10 other coffees first, even though I had already waited and it was her mistake. She finally placed the new coffee down without a word… unbelievable!!! I’ve been to Starbucks all over the world, but I’ve never experienced anything like this.

Stopped by the Starbucks in Nelson yesterday morning while it was super busy, and I was honestly impressed with how well the staff handled everything. Even with a long line, the baristas were friendly, patient, and still took time to smile and greet everyone. My iced caramel macchiato was made just right—no rush, even with all the orders coming in. The only downside is that the kiosk itself is a bit small. It works, but with how busy it gets—especially with tourists—it would be amazing if they had a full store with seating. Having a space where people could relax and enjoy the lakeside view would take it to the next level. Still, the team here does a fantastic job with the space they have. Clean, organized, great energy, and solid service. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!

I said good morning, the person had no idea what that meant. Just stared for a second. And said, “what?”. I replied “Oh I just said good morning”.. the response was then “Ok…” Coffee was awful, almost as awful as the Gen Z brain behind the counter. The future is bright…

Savannah and her co worker Saturday were great! It's a busy location and really appreciated their help.

Visited today around 6:45 7ish and all the food was out of stock the drinks were out of stock. Then we asked for a mocha cookie crumble and a vanilla latte. After making the drinks she informed us that she was out of stock for cookie crumble and substituted it for another drink and the same thing for latte. I mean what is the point of making an order then. The worst Starbucks experience ever.

Visited yesterday evening for a coffee. When I approached the counter, I mentioned that the reusable cold cup was so cute, the young girls behind the counter just stared at me coldly. I said hello as the girls had not acknowledged me yet. The one girl who wasn’t wearing an apron or name tag left and the other barista, Sarah took my order. When Sarah finished making the drink, she blankly said “here you go.” The drink was good but the service was not at all what I would expect as I’m used to friendly baristas at Starbucks. It was my first experience visiting Nelson and I was not very pleased with the service. I will choose somewhere else to purchase coffee for the duration of my stay.
