Tried a Gypsy thali and puri with gatte ki sabji. The puri and the rest of the thali were delicious! The gatte ki sabji was a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but overall, it was a good meal! 😊

Visited Janta Sweets near Jodhpur railway station and tried their Pyaaz Kachori, Bedmi Puri, Aloo Paratha, Makhaniya Lassi, Mango Lassi, and chai. Most items were average. The flavors felt muted compared to what we are used to in Delhi. The Makhaniya Lassi had a thick blob of sweetened raw butter with barely any actual lassi. The Mango Lassi tasted more like a mango shake, and even the chai was just okay. Service was a bit slow, though everything is made fresh. The place looks air-conditioned, but only air coolers were on. Staff was polite, and pricing is very reasonable. The highlight, however, was the jalebi; crisp, rich, and full of true desi ghee flavor. It stood out from the rest and felt genuinely special. Worth a stop if you are nearby, especially for the jalebi. Just go in with modest expectations for the rest.

Always a treat to visit this place. There is everything here for anyone who love food. Best to have here: Ghevar, kachoris. I tried Kabuli for the first time here, such small qty is not justified for 60₹ . Better to avoid.

A very famous sweet shop in Jodhpur and it completely live up to its hype, very much budget friendly and also the food of this place is amazing. Mirchi Pakoda, Pyaaz Kachori and Jalebi is a must try. Highly recommended.

Don’t miss the Jalebi if you’re visiting this place—it was absolutely delicious! The crispiness, texture, and perfectly balanced sweetness, along with the saffron aroma, created a unique flavor. The innovative twist in its shape made it stand out from other Jalebis I’ve tried before. Definitely a must-try! As for the Mirchi Vada, it wasn't quite to my liking. It was served a bit cold, which made me wonder if it had been fried earlier in the day, so I’d recommend asking for it to be served hot and fresh when ordering. Additionally, I found the masala to be a little tangy and sour in flavor, and it lacked the spiciness and depth I was hoping for. Personally, it tasted a bit plain, but others might enjoy it depending on their preferences.

I recently visited this sweet shop, and honestly, it feels a bit overhyped. The sweets were just average in taste — not as great as expected based on the reviews and reputation. The staff is so genuine, even on ordering just one big thalli for myself and some other meal for my dad, they made it a point to serve the complimentary drinks and desserts to both of us. We went there fir breakfast and it was very good south indian breakfast. The staff is very good specially the manager. The quality is also good and hygienic. We go there many times and it never disappoints. The tea coffee is also good. They have two options for breakfast combo one is 99 rs and other is 199rs. The 199 one has few extra items and quality is kore of other items. The 99 is also sufficient if you diet is regular. For 4 people we ordered 2 maharani and 2 maharaja thali we were not able to finish all items.

Heard a lot about this place in Jodhpur so had to visit for the food they serve. Had 1) Dal makhani - the dal was perfectly cooked and was so flavourful with a nice touch of cream in it, it was a bit spicy but very tasty. 2) Paneer lababdar - Never had such tasty paneer lababdar as it was so creamy and tasty but full of flavours at the same time. Definitely worth trying. 3) Butter naan - The hot piping naan were so soft and crunchy and filled with butter. The food was delish and so flavourful and yummy. The staff was very courteous and nice and served the food in such a polite way. Loved the ambience and interior , such a great experience it was with food served in economical price. This is a must visit restaurant if you are in Jodhpur.

I came to this place because it’s definitely a must visit. I saw so many great recommendations. When I ordered, there was a bit of a language barrier with the server, and my order was misunderstood. I repeated it and even showed photos to another server of what I wanted. They brought my food along with an extra dish I didn’t order. It seemed like a genuine misunderstanding due to the language issue, but unfortunately, I had to speak to a third server to clarify. I then overheard the staff explaining the situation to a manager,and it felt uncomfortable and a bit unpleasant. I can tell the servers weren’t very happy and I am sorry about it. In the end, I decided to take my food to go and I left. I would suggest having a server with a stronger level of English for tourists.

One time visit i say . Near Ajith Bhavan circuit house. But non veg not good as hype ! Almost everything is exceptional, the vibe, food, property and welcoming behaviour of the staff. The staff though was helpful and polite and they replaced the glass and spoon when I let them know about it. Other than this issue, I like everything about this place. I would recommend visiting this place for both lunch and dinner as it has a completely different vibe during morning and night. They also have an amazing bar. It's almost impossible to explain the vibe of it. You'll get to know it when you visit.

We went to this place as per suggestion of a friend who is based in Jodhpur.Since it was a summer afternoon we opted for an indoor sitting. We tried Indian as well as Italian cuisine. We tried Panchmel subzi which is more like a mix veg along with butter roti and missi roti. You may find subzi little on spicier side, it makes sense to inform the staff in advance if you do not prefer spicy food. We also tried honey chilly potato and chicken penne pasta. Both the items were good but honey chilly potato also slightly spicy especially for children. Fresh lime soda was on sweeter side and sugar syrup was overpowering the overall blend. Staff here is helpful and cordial.

Tried Shahi Samosa near Ghantaghar and it definitely lives up to its name! The samosas were crispy, fresh, and really tasty. The potato filling is quite similar to what they use in their other snacks like mirchi vada, but it still works perfectly inside the samosa. Overall, the flavor was great and the texture spot on, crisp outside and flavorful inside. A must-try if you’re visiting Jodhpur!

This outlet is near Clock Tower. It is located in a bustling local market. Samosa offered here is crisp and tasty. Filling of samosa has a tinge of lemon which makes it unique. Mirchi Bada and Pyaj Kachori is also very famous here. Kachori too is crisp and tasty. After eating these namkeens you can relish lassi which is thick and nicely sweet. You have to stand and eat here or pack it for home.

Shahi Samosa in Jodhpur is very famous and always crowded for their samosa and mirchi vada. But honestly, as a Gujarati, I didn’t enjoy it much. The samosa has salty masala stuffing without chutney, and instead they serve it with bread, which felt unusual for me. Personally, I didn’t like the taste, but you’ll still see a big crowd here as it’s a popular local spot.

Just tried the famous Shahi Samosa in Jodhpur and it totally lived up to its name! The samosa was perfectly crisp, stuffed with flavorful aloo and loaded with cashews — a real royal touch. Jaisa naam waise kaam, Shahi Samosa is truly shahi in taste! Must try when in Jodhpur.

The samosa was nice, but the famous Mirchi Vada was undercooked and disappointing. The place was EXTREMELY crowded, making it hard to find a spot or enjoy comfortably. Overall, decent taste but not worth the hype.

Food Review: Overhyped & Pricey, with a Few Hits and Misses Tried this place after seeing it all over social media, but honestly, it didn’t live up to the hype created by food bloggers. The veg dishes tasted good — well-cooked and flavourful — but nothing extraordinary that justifies the buzz. Portion sizes were quite small for the price, making it feel overpriced, especially if you’re expecting a proper filling meal. The biggest disappointment was the Kabuli. It lacked flavor, was dry, and didn't have the rich taste you’d normally expect from a dish that’s usually packed with spices and aroma.

Visited Shandar Sweet Home to try their famous Gulab Jamun ki Sabzi and Kabuli Pulao, and both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were unique and totally worth trying. The Gulab Jamun Sabzi isn’t sweet, so don’t expect a dessert-like taste because it’s a savory dish and really well made. The only downside is that the quantity is a bit less and the seating is limited, so you might have to wait around 10–15 minutes during busy hours. Overall, a must-visit for anyone exploring local Rajasthani food in Jodhpur. Would definitely visit again!

The best Rajasthani Food I’ve ever tried. Best gulab jamun ki subzi, dal fry, gatte ki subzi and to die for lehsun ki chutney. Don’t visit this place if you don’t like Ghee. Also, the lassi, unarguably the best in Rajasthan I’ve had (I’ve tried from all the recommended places in the state). You cannot miss this spot.

Bahut Shandar, Bahut Shandar! My friends in Jodhpur highly recommended this place for lunch and dinner. We went there for lunch, and honestly, at first glance, we thought we had come to the wrong place, the restaurant is not fancy, has a too old school vibe, and is a bit congested. But once the food arrived, everything changed. We had Dal Fry, Malai Kofta, Masala Papad, and ended with Fruit Cream and Meva Cream. The Dal Fry and Meva Cream are absolute must-tries! The taste more than makes up for the simple ambience.

Founded by late Bhati ji this place is located in the heart of city inside jalori gate. Unlike typical restaurant this place is not so spacious yet popular for it's authentic taste. I tried dal it was quite good 10/10 But paneer was not so good 7/10 The only special part is they cook every meal in sudh desi ghee. The staff is very friendly and believes in hospitality. Utensils can be improved over the time. Overall a good experience to try.

It looked nice and the portion was good, but the taste was just average. Not bad, but not something I’d come back for either. Overall, it’s the kind of spot that’s fine if you’re already in the area and want a quick meal. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but not a bad option if you’re nearby.

Hari Vedas, a well-known dining spot in Jodhpur, left much to be desired during out recent visit. While the location is decent, parking is a hassle with limited spaces available on the road. Restroom found to be extremely dirty - a clear red flag for any establishment. The service was disappointingly poor, marked by a lack of attentiveness. The starters, which we had been looking forward to, fell far short of expectations in both quality and presentation so as the buffet dinner. Despite repeated requests, the staff couldn’t manage to serve them on time, and they only arrived a few minutes before the main course—hardly ideal pacing for a meal. The dining hall itself was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, and the situation wasn’t helped by the kitchen being located within the same space. The constant movement of supplies from the kitchen to the restaurant below created an additional nuisance, disrupting what should have been a pleasant dining experience. Even the manager on duty seemed helpless to address these issues, which speaks volumes about the management’s oversight. In nutshell: from cleanliness to service to the food itself, it failed to live up to its name.

I had buffet (dinner) for Rs.529/- Everything was good but paneer tikka jodhpuri and pesto was not up to the mark. Cauliflower Manchurian and pina colada drink was very good. Hakka noodles was normal. Main course bhi bdhiyaa thaa!! Overall, sb kuchh was okayy okayy. Would recommend this.

Overall decent place for a family dinner. They have buffet option as well and an enclosed space for private dinner with 15 people capacity.

Today we visited hotel Hari Vedas 7people group of 7 people and we took buffet service here it took very long time even when we ask for repeat the next day day night and they were rude with us even dishes were not cleaned it take very long time and service was not good at all I think they need to improve this and I would request you all of you before visiting here make sure you have good reference they value those people who are in group of more than 10

The food was good ngl but the waiter, service standards not even close the way it used to be before, it became extremely slow. Anyway manger trying there best to let waiter know what dishes belong to which customers quite funny. **REMARKS: They need staff alterations.

If you are visiting the older parts of Jodhpur City, this restaurant is highly recommended. Fine dining, rooftop experience with a Maharangar Fort view. Great for trying out local, veg / non vegetarian cuisines. I also stayed at their BNB... Pal Haveli Inn that's also fantastic. Has the old word charm of Royal elegance.

Friendly and charming staff who showed us to a table with a not very good view of the fort with a promise to move when a further table became available. A promise that they kept. Had cold beer and cocktails - the old fashioned was good but a pretty short measure frankly. We had laal maans, veg rice and some breads. It was a lovely evening and chilled on top of the roof. Highly recommended. Not the cheapest but it does what it says on the tin.

Jodhpur is one town full of culture and traditions. We can call it Maharaja city of Rajasthan. Indique is one of the most memorable moment in the trip. We were suggested this place and it was more than we expected.  Best time to visit the restaurant is evening after 630 pm and best place to sit is rooftop. On one side is Ghanta Ghar, other side fountain and backdrop is Mehrangarh Fort. The food was awesome,  we started with Chicken Tikka, tender and just the best of spices  and ended with Lal Maas and Bajra roti, absolutely authentic.  Our server Mr. Harchand Ram took well care. Later we wished to speak to the chief chef. Mr. Vishal Gautam was extremely pleasant personality to speak to. He shared few secrets which made their food best in town. Hats off to Vishal who prepares the best food in Jodhpur.  Whenever you are visiting this town,  never miss it, its mesmerizing. The best of view and the best of food in town.

The Atmosphere was great but is also available in any other Rooftop Restaurant in the City. Still we enjoyed the sunset there with a drink in our hand. The Service was nice and polite but very slow and seemed unorganised with many different waiters serving us, which led to a confusion in our order. When the sunlight went away at some point, the rooftop terrace was also dark and the staff was not prepared fast enough, so we had to check our menu with our phone flashlight and later got a small cheap table lamp. The food was okay at best and overpriced. We ordered a Paneer Lababdar and is was poor in taste, more fat than anything and the Naan was not properly baked as well as the Paratha. The portions were comparatively small to other restaurant we stayed with a similiar price range. In conclusion, the restaurant seems overhyped and to be using the advantage of previous positive ratings. Would maybe check other restaurants beforehand.

This restaurant was our absolute favorite in Jodhpur. The rooftop is beautiful, with a stunning view of the Fort and the city. The food is delicious, we had an eggplant dish and the palak tomato and garlic naan. You have to search a bit to find it, as its off one of the main streets, but its well worth it. Highly recommended.

Genuinely had one of the best meals I've had in Rajasthan here. Though slightly difficult to find, I would recommend in a heartbeat. In particular, order their food from the Rajasthani part of the menu; food here is impossible to find anywhere else in the city.

I had food on this roof top cafe which has an amazing view of Mehrangarh fort. Reaching to this place will be a bit difficult if you have your own car but Mr. Kunal (owner) really helped us. We ordered rajhasthani food and that was superlative good, I never expected that coming to this place will give me the best taste of food.

This was our stop for lunch after exploring Bishnoi Village. We ordered North Indian menu, the usuals..... Paneer, Dal, Chicken, Roti and Pulav with Salad. The ambience of this place is really nice, even the food was good though I think the portion sizes are little less if compared with the pricing. We always request for less spicy food and they prepared it accordingly. Overall we had a good meal in a good ambience.

My experience at Kalinga Restaurant was quite average despite the hype surrounding it. Many people, including our stay host, recommended it as a must-visit for non-veg lovers, but I felt it didn’t live up to the expectations. We ordered the non-veg thali, buniya gosht, and garlic roti, but the food tasted quite plain and lacked the flavors you’d expect from such a highly recommended place. The place is located near the Railway station so not very far from the main city. We ordered Laal Maas along with some other non-veg dishes and all of them were really good. The waiters and the rest of the staff is also friendly and polite

I had high expectations from this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. First of all, the food was completely undercooked—it felt raw and unappetizing, definitely not what you'd expect at these prices. Honestly, I've had far better meals at local stalls for half the cost. The ambience was equally dull, with nothing inviting or lively about the place. It just felt flat and lifeless. The sofa seats were in terrible condition, torn and uncomfortable to sit on, which only added to the discomfort. Even the salt and pepper bottles were dirty, which really shows how little attention is paid to hygiene. To top it all off, the bathroom was oddly placed right in the middle of the dining area—which made the whole setup feel extremely unprofessional and gave off a very unsatisfying vibe. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless major improvements are made. The quality of food and environment does not justify the price at all.

But seeing a lot of positive reviews, we tried संकल्प, in जोधपूर. Pros:- 1. Super tasty chutneys 2. Sollid fillings in dosas 3. Authentic tamil sambar And a few new wacky combos like Chaos dosa, Spooky dosa, etc.. Overall a nice trial, and will surely repeat if I get bored of daal-roti! Cons:- 1. Too much filling, too little dosa 2. Too much beetroot in spooky dosa makes it sweet-ish.. 3. Waiters are really fast. They don't wait to give you the bill, even though you've not yet finished..

Sankalp in Jodhpur serves good South Indian food, as expected from a well-known chain. However, the overall service experience can be quite inconsistent. If you’re a regular customer or someone who tips well and is recognized by the staff, the service tends to be much better. Otherwise, they’re often not very welcoming or attentive. The most disappointing aspect is their rigidity. They are very reluctant to accommodate any customization, even for small requests, and come across as quite stubborn about it. For a restaurant of this scale, a little flexibility and customer-centric attitude would go a long way. Good taste alone doesn’t make up for the lack of hospitality and personalization.

Sankalp continues to be one of the good places for South Indian meals. It's a purely vegetarian restaurant and one can enjoy the table service. I visited after many years I guess - covid pandemic ++ years. The normal order would have been masala dosa but we opted for Kaikari biryani, Bagale bhath and Kesari. The food is still good and it's wonderful to see that they have maintained their quality for so many years. They still have so many varieties of dosa and uttapam. The food was piping hot, the serving time was quite short and our server was very polite. The meal ended with the customary paan. We enjoyed our meal and the hospitality. Thank you Team Sankalp 👍👍

It was a nice place for dining and was spacious as well . The service was really good and fast ; the staff too. Food was average and could've been better. We stopped for quick lunch on our enroute to Jodhpur. We had Dal, Aalu pyaaz, roti, Jeera rice very good food. No complaints on food and the person serving our food was courteous. A few points to improve the restaurant and not waste a very beautiful property. Not sure the owners care. 1. The moment I have stepped into Rajasthan, covid protocols are taken for a toss. The restaurant also continued the trend. 2. Open property which is quite beautiful but cleanliness overall and maintenance of the plants were missing. The washroom was not clean. I understand the pandemic is hard on the hospitality industry. But if you are open there is no excuse for hygiene and hospitality. Thanks again for the palatable food.

We ordered Hara bhara kabab,cheesy garlic bread, achari vegetable curry,paneer tufani with tandoori roti frankly speaking taste was too good of all the mentioned food items but the taste of achari veg curry was decent rest other items we liked so much. Service was quick and we don't have to wait much for our order to come fast as the service was quite good and there were many waiter's surrounded by you. It was a great experience there and many options available in terms of veg or non- veg items, Mexican dishes too. Good place but the owner/manager isn't interested in the place at all. Even though the customer is getting irritated by their sloppy management he won't bother to come and look. Went after a rain, and the whole overhead shade was dripping on the seat, had to help the single guy they sent for a two person job, still no one was bothered. After toiling for 15 minutes in dark finally sat down to wait quite long for soft nachos, and a couple of food that wasn't what it is called a cat came up and started circling and seemed like ready to pounce while eating. Even at last he just wanted to sit and ignore everything.

Bad service, bad food. Ordered Rajasthani thali INR300/- as per menu this should contain multiple items like papad, buttermilk, ice cream and one more vegetable item. All these items were missing (see photo). Complained to the waiter and he was not even remotely sorry. Well it was not just me who was unsatisfied with the service, the table next to us ordered Jain food, they were up for a huge shock - onions and garlic in the gravy. Desi dhaba feel, desi village style thali serving. Average 120 rupees per full diet. Three seasonal curries like haldi sabji, panchkuta ki sabji, roti, puri, papad . Unlimited desi beverage chaach and special Kheer. Full desi ambiance like road side truck wala dhaba... Food taste is really nice, don't expect much hygiene as I have already mentioned that it is desi road side truck type dhaba.

Best cake shop in Jodhpur. I’ve tried cakes from many other bakeries but this one is serving the best quality cakes. Tried biscoff cheesecake too and thAt was too amazing. Basically it was the place for Truck drivers to eat. Food is cheap, very pocket friendly. Parking: very good space for four and two wheelers. Preferred time to eat here is Evening.

A friend of mine threw the party at AIIMS daba. It's name is laxmi bhojnalay near AIIMS road. We around 10 people visit there.We ordered four types of vegetables and raita. Around 2500 rs were total spent there. And the food was so good. It was pocket friendly place. Just go and try once there. Servicing slow but yet we enjoyed food alot.

The interior of Rani Mahal is truly impressive, elegant and thoughtfully designed. However, the service unfortunately didn’t live up to the ambiance. We were a group of three, and it took over 30 minutes for our drinks and starter and it was not crowded at that time. While the staff was polite, the execution was lacking. At one point, they served the main course but forgot to bring plates. It was quite hot, and when we requested a fan to be turned on, we were instead asked to move to a smaller table for two near an existing fan despite being a party of three. The food was average overall; the paneer dish, in particular, was not up to the mark. The owner did make an effort to appear humble, but the interaction felt dismissive especially when she walked away mid-conversation while an elder from another group was trying to explain something. It came across as rude and disinterested. There seems to be preferential treatment toward larger parties or non-Indian visitors, which was quite noticeable. All in all, a beautiful space with potential, but the service and hospitality need serious improvement

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It is right smack in the middle of old town and is walking distance from the fort, popular local food spots, market and historical landmarks. Property is over 450 years old made out of red Jodhpuri sandstone. It has been restored beautifully and the ambience is great. It remains very quite inside despite the noisy outdoors. The staff Rani Mahal goes above and beyond to make the guests happy. A shout out to Devi Singhji and Sarwan for making our stay super comfortable. Would highly recommend this without a second thought.

We love Rani Mahal. It’s in the heart of Jodhpur and the roof top views are stunning. The owners took great care of us and our kids (8 and 10) could not stop talking about wanting to go back, after we left. Oh - and the nightly musicians were amazing.

Want to eat real south Indian food, then this is the place that comes close to it compared any other in this area. The sambhar was excellent, it was different but really good change to it. I wanted to try idli as well, but by 6pm it was all over. I wish they would able to expand a little more interms of space, in the future.

Due to that yesterday also I have ordered 2 Special Thalis but there is no taste at all. No food quality.. even Dal prepared like for patients. I strongly recommend not to waist ur money and time there. No one is there to even listen. It's very bad when u pay this much for taste and hygiene less food.

Thali was ordered and half piece of Gulab Jamun was served and on telling them they just took away that half one too and offered to serve icecream instead. As an alone visitor, I just had some chapati's and a Dal Fry, but I must say, it was pretty good. Not so heavy, not so spicy. It is good place to have main course food when tired of working in that industrial location and the AIIMS hospital. It is right in front of AIIMS, Jodhpur.
