Seafood restaurant
Nestled in a cozy corner, Sam's Seafood & Grill is the perfect spot for anyone craving fresh and delicious comfort food. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned regular, you'll feel right at home as you dive into their renowned toasted wraps. After an invigorating 15km snowshoe hike through the stunning Lawrence Town salt marshes, this eatery offers just the right ambiance to unwind and refuel. With its warm neighborhood diner vibe and attentive service, every guest is treated like family.
Went in by myself. Ordered the class and chips. Clumsy wee delicious. Didn't like the fried so much. The girl who served me was very pleasant and fast.

Mom and I enjoyed supper...the food was definitely yummy.. service was top shelf thank you. Coffee ☕ was good. Overall a very pleasant evening experience.

I had a Poutine Burger (off their specials menu). This had beef, cheese curds, fries, and gravy. Each component tasted pretty good on their own, but I have a hard time justifying the fusion. The gravy just didn't agree with their burger spice in my opinion. Their fish is great as always though. Go for that instead!

My husband and I visited Sam’s Seafood and Grill in Dartmouth today for lunch, and unfortunately, it was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We ordered the lasagna, and after just one bite, I knew something was off — the sauce had a strong tin/metallic taste. My husband tried it as well and agreed. We mentioned it to our server, who politely went to the kitchen to speak with the staff. Instead of addressing the concern, someone in the kitchen rudely said, “Oh well, I am not making another one. They are paying for it.” There was no offer to replace the meal with something different, just a complete dismissal of our concern. This kind of customer service is completely unacceptable. I left without eating my meal, yet we still had to pay full price. I am so disappointed by this experience, and I feel compelled to let others know how poorly this restaurant treats its guests. — A saddened guest

I want to like this place. But when u go in wait 20 mins to be greated. More time for drinks then 30 mins for 2 burgers and fries. My burger was so dry . I couldn't swallow it. My moms.burger was raw. Like how do u overcook and under cook burgers on same order. Fries were nothing to write home about. Was asked if we want fresh or frozen fries. Like why is that a choice. Fresh. But they sucked too. Only good thing was our server. She was amazing and felt soo bad we didnt like our food. She comped it for us. But man do better guys. How can u expect a server to make money when u screw the food up so much I will not be back unfortunately. Shame tho. But only thing I enjoyed was the gravy. Hardly a reason to return

Monique G — Google review
I have been to Sam's several times and everytime I have been there I could hardly walk when I left as the portions were so large. This time I ordered clams, fish and chips and although the quality and taste were great, the portions of what you get has decreased compared to what they used to be. I am only rating it a 4 for two reasons, one being the decrease in portion size and when we were there it seemed like there was only one waitress. Our waitress was great but was doing several jobs including busing her own tables which took her away from waiting on customers. To be fair, I do realize things are just starting to get back to normal and maybe they just don't have the staff on hand like they used to so I this is not a slight against Sam's in any way. This is just something that I observed while we were there. I would still recommend Sam's and will continue to be a customer as I do enjoy their food. //Update// I decided to give Sam's a try for breakfast which I had not done before. I ordered a Greek omelette and I was not disappointed. Given the quality of food, portion size and service I received on this visit, I am updating my rating to a 5 star. Thank you for your prompt service and delicious food. I will be back 👍👍

My wife and I went here on a whim after going on a 15km snowshoe hike through Lawrence Town salt marshes. It was the perfect comfort food after a long hike. This place is an establishment with a very neighborhood diner feeling with excellent service. The waitress was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of every minute we were there. A very family friendly atmosphere. The amount of food you get is HUGE and for a very decent price. Everything was so fresh tasting (no signs of freezer burn). We both had the seafood platter which was on the restaurant's special menu. You get two of the biggest pieces of Haddock that I have ever seen battered and fried to perfection. The Digby scallops were juicy and delicious along with 2 breaded fried shrimp which I was not a big fan of. With a choice of potato (fries, baked, mashed), side of steamed veggies and coleslaw it made for a perfect meal for a hungry man (or woman). Their tar tar sauce was also homemade and was a great accompaniment to our fried feast. We both had their house coffee which went along well with our meal. Highly recommended!

Brunch restaurant
Hali Deli, located in Halifax's North End, is a casual Jewish deli and restaurant offering traditional staples such as overstuffed sandwiches, smoked meats, and fish. Run by Victor and Sybil Fineberg, this laid-back eatery provides an all-day breakfast menu featuring dishes like Victors Big Breakfast with eggs, smoked meat, corned beef, salami, and toast. The Oy Vey!
Awesome unassuming restaurant with the BEST eggs Benny on Smoked Salmon I've ever had! It's a neighborhood gem but well worth a trip to eat! The decor is perfect! Definitely hitting this place up soon again!
Legolias04 — Google review
Came here after reading great reviews and was disappointed. We ordered the loaded latkes and the server gave us the option of smoked meat gribenes or chilli as the topping. We went with the smoked meat gribenes option and was served the latkes with what tasted like burnt bacon bits. They were completely scorched and bitter. We asked the server and she said “they’re supposed to be like that.” This establishment was also cash only, and the sign says they accept e-transfer but the server said not on that particular day. We had to pay to draw cash from the ATM, then pay upfront when ordering, and the server then asked if we wanted change so I felt pressure leave a tip before even being served.
Ang H — Google review
Went here with my wife a few weeks ago. Was unaware that it was cash only, and used the machine in the back to get money out (which cost us $2 in order to do so). We both had hash and a beverage each, (hash was extremely salty and required a lot of ketchup in order to eat). Service was mostly ok, (although the server seemed like they were sick). After receiving the bill, our jaws dropped: it was over $70 before tip (and we did tip afterwards) but couldn’t believe it! Still can’t get over the price we paid for potatoes, veggies, a bit of meat eggs and toast. Sad that we will not be returning, the price doesn’t match the meal, and we had heard so many good things about this place. For the price of everything here, we were able to take out a friend for his birthday to the Micmac Tavern in Dartmouth for less money and more food.
J. C — Google review
It may have been the driest sandwich I’ve ever had and the bread was really crumbly. The service was really friendly, and great atmosphere but i would not return again because the food is not great.
Sara — Google review
tl;dr CASH ONLY. MUST TRY. Wow, everything about this place is true. The smoked meat in the Reuben is just as good as in Montreal, if not better. The Hali burger is also so good, and isn’t as imposing as the menu description sounds. Both are a must try, but if you could only eat one it would 100% be the Reuben. They are cash only so you have been warned. If you are coming off a cruise ship take heed. There’s an ATM on-site but probably better to save on the fees. The decor is basically a slice of Halifax history and is quite cool to take in. There’s only one waitress but she works quite hard at keeping the tables serviced, and the kitchen churns out the food with great expediency. There is absolutely nothing special about the coffee, and in a city that has so many kinds of third wave coffee, “regular random church coffee from the 1960s” is just as welcome to be part of the coffee culture palette. They serve canned pop for $3 and milkshakes for almost $10, and for two people you can easily spend $70 incl. tax and tip on lunch. Still, it is definitely a must try.
Danny Y — Google review
I had a really upsetting experience near Hali Deli that I haven’t been able to shake. I was on a first date, new to the North End, and we had just picked up a sandwich from Luke’s. To be fair, the picnic tables outside are all lined up pretty close together, and I accidentally sat at what turned out to be a Hali Deli table. That was my mistake, and I take full accountability for not realizing it wasn’t part of Luke’s seating. (I take ownership for my own mistake) But what happened next completely caught me off guard and honestly hurt. A worker from Hali Deli came over and very rudely told us we were in the wrong place, adding, “which you probably already knew.” She didn’t just ask us to move she literally shooed us away with a menu like we were animals. It was humiliating. I was already nervous trying to enjoy a first date in a new area, and being treated like that was incredibly upsetting. I understand that they may get frustrated with people sitting in the wrong spot, but that does not give anyone the right to treat others with such disrespect. A simple, kind request would have been more than enough. I had once considered trying Hali Deli, but after seeing how they treat people, I absolutely will not. I left that moment feeling hurt, embarrassed, and totally unwelcome. A truly misunderstanding which didn’t need to happen in the way it did.

Had the Reuben sandwich... VERY legit. Strong recommend.
Rainer N — Google review
Embarrassed to admit that I had never even heard of this place, but my spouse and I were craving Reubens when we were in the city and google recommended this amazing place! I know it sounds over the top to say, but it was genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. The Reuben was so good that we could barely speak the whole meal unless it was to rave about how delicious it was between bites!! Seriously, I can't wait to go back 🤤 I wish we'd had time to eat in, the atmosphere was incredible and the staff was super friendly, funny and kind! 100/10!

The menu features a variety of delicious dishes such as tabouli, falafel, rice, bulgur, hummus, bean and cabbage salad. We were here for the first time and had the Dinner for two. It was exceptional !!! Super delicious and a bit of everything. Would come back anytime.

I came to tarek’s get my lunch by looking at the reviews. But I felt like it’s an average food and prices aren’t cheap here if you need to get a good plate. Their customer service is exceptional.

A very good place, excellent quality, good price, card payment is not accepted but there is an ATM inside, they give you a small complimentary seafood or pea soup. They are delicious. I will definitely return several times. It is a gem for foodies

It's a Nostalgic feeling as I've been religiously goin to his restaurant since a kid. Well over 16 years. I'm always treated like family, I am thankful for places that have that atmosphere and family dynamics. This place is very special, near and dear to my heart. Thank you Tarek for you being the genuine person you are. That is worth a thousand words ❤️
Chelsea C — Google review
I’ve come here for years. The food has always been good. BUT TODAY! Was an experience at that restaurant I’ll never forget Completely and utterly disgusting, unprofessional, and rude! Fiona of the store should not be working in customer service!! He is the man that’s a cartoon character in the picture I posted. Myself and another customer placed our order today He ended up mixing up our orders, giving us each, each others sides. Instead of fixing our orders properly, I looked at the customer next to me, then looked back down at my plate. He proceeded to raise his voice and swear at me and ask why I was giving a look to the food. Well, probably because my order was wrong and I was confused on who’s plate it was… The lovely Elderly lady that works at the cash, proceeded to tell him to stop as he was not only yelling at me but cursing all because I had “a look” to my face apparently when I looked at my food. God forbid if I looked at my food and it was the wrong order. Making feel like I was put in fight and flight mode Being yelled at in a store front of people after all I’m a woman and don’t take well to grown men, hollering and cursing at me for no real reason While I’m standing there in my scrub uniform, just trying to get some lunch on my work break !! I stood my ground and told him with everyone In that restaurant you do not speak or treat customers like this. I am a paying customer if I was to give him attitude, I would have expected it back but that was not the case you messed my order up and then give me grief because I don’t want someone else’s side dish with my food!!! Mind you I never even complained, or said a word to him about my order being messed up I didn’t have time. I simply looked at the plate, looked at the person next to me and back at the plate and He just went off because I looked at my plate, “funny” in his eyes. I can only imagine how he talks to his wife Or his daughtersat home if he talks to customers like this It was completely disgusting ignorant, and he should feel embarrassed, I would love to see the camera footage !!!! I would not recommend his restaurant, no matter how good the food may be you don’t treat customers like this, especially customers who have been coming to you for years Mind you I’ve never had a problem with him or anything along those lines until today!!! Zero out of 10 recommend!!!!

Pizza restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Located just a short drive from Downtown Halifax, King Of Donair is a must-visit spot for food enthusiasts. This iconic eatery has been serving its famous donairs since 1973 and has gained legendary status in the area. The combination of spit-roasted shaved beef, tomatoes, onions, and their signature sauce makes for an unforgettable culinary experience. Even the late Anthony Bourdain was a fan of this place.
My first Donair, the iconic Halifax indulgence. I prepared myself for disappointment as this sounded like a food choice for inebriated university students.. In fact, I have been told that by inebriated university students. And I was sober as a judge on the day question. Also, my experience with the Donair outside of Halifax was not great. Fakers. But when in Rome, right? Result: I am now a believer!! This thing kicked ass in every way, as far as flavor, texture, and balance. The sweet garlic sauce, which I doubted most of all, brought it all together. Of course, it was way more food than I should’ve eaten, but I was incapable of stopping once I started. (Once you are covered in sauce what is the point in stopping?) The super-dive vibe added to the whole experience too. So I will be back again someday, next time in Halifax. Thanks, King, for a memorable 4 minutes!
Chris O — Google review
I drove 1500 km to Halifax for the much storied King of Donair and was not disappointed! I give the donair of my dreams a good, solid three thumbs-up!
Gil S — Google review
Heard lots of good things about this place. And honestly it was a pretty good donair. I enjoyed the poutine way more as it had more of a savory sauce as the OG item is more of a sweet sauce. I think that’s what makes it a donair over a donor😆. I’m not really sure. Either way I was not unhappy I made the trek on my quick cruise stop. I would defenitly love to have that poutine again if was in the area!
Daniel M — Google review
My boyfriend brought me here as he grown up here. I tasted a Donair for the first time and I must say it was exceptional. The sauce was very great. Also, I strongly recommend this place and my boyfriend was in heaven.
Sophie C — Google review
Boyfriend has always wanted to try this place since watching Trailer park boys. While you wait for your food theirs lots of photos of famous people who have visited King or Donair. The place is super hot you sweat while ordering and waiting for your food. We ordered two Donairs no tomato or onion , extra sauce . The lady who took our order repeated it back correctly , however the younger lady helping her piled a crap tun of them on and I seen the other lady waving at her and speaking in their language. The lady who took our order then used tongs to take them off and I still ended up with two pieces of raw onion. You don’t need to ask for extra sauce because they put a lot on. Boyfriend loved the sauce i however found it a bit too sweet and it kind do threw me off . Meat was tasty and they put a lot on.
Nicole — Google review
This is a great little gem not fancy, but to Donair was delicious and loaded with meat. Highly recommend this place. It's it fancy. Take it for what it is.
Brian P — Google review
The Original is the best! I tried other east coast donairs, to compare. This is the perfect donair. Right size. Amazing taste. Not messy. Just yum!
Cristian M — Google review
Over priced frozen food! $18 for a small dry cardboard pizza with no flavor. Frozen pizza is better and 1/3 the price! Donair egg rolls are again very very dry flavorless with no meat. For the donair they asked if we wanted "the works" on it and we said yes, so you'd assume there would be more then just meat and sauce...!?! Pouting was OK but small. 2 donair egg rolls Small pizza Donair Poutine and drink For $70!!! Price is gross and so is the food!

Kebab shop
When visiting Halifax, one must indulge in the local delicacy known as donair, which surprisingly holds the title of the city's official food. Johnny K's Authentic Donairs is a popular choice for those seeking this iconic dish on-the-go. This eatery, recognized as the silver winner in Halifax's Best Donair category, offers an array of options including donairs, wraps, burgers, subs, kebabs, spring rolls and even donair sausages.
This place has great donairs. I had heard that Halifax is known for donairs so I wanted to try the best in town. After a search, I settled on giving Johnny K's a try. I was glad I did. The place is well decorated with an efficient flow to ordering and picking up your food. The service I received was great; quick, polite, and to the point. The donair was perfect. Meat has good flavouring, sauce is rich, and the wrap was warm and soft. They're also generous with the serving size, which is nice but a little hard to eat without making a mess. I'll be back for sure.
Dustin G — Google review
Little place on the corner. They give you tons of donair. We ordered the JK Donair. It was good. We got a baklava but it didn't have much taste. We sat on seating looking out an open window to the street. That was a nice experience.
Fiona B — Google review
I got take out. If I stayed there I may have given it 3 stars because the music was way too loud. However, if I'm rating the donair on its own, it was delicious. I hadn't had one before so I can't compare it to others, but the sweet sauce the meat is topped with is addicting. It was jam packed with meat too- they didn't skimp. The fries were overcooked though. (I got the original donair combo)
J M — Google review
A good place to get a bite to go! We got a Double Chicken Souvlaki with extra side. The sauce was amazing, rice could do better and chicken, salad & potatoes were good. The place was small and needed a bit cleaning for sitting area, but overall fine experience.
Golnaz — Google review
Can’t not have a donair when in Halifax! Last few times I was here we always ate at KoD but it’s not at this corner anymore so Johnny K’s it is. Well, they didn’t disappoint. We ordered a few small JK donairs for an afternoon snack. It sounds wrong, haha, but the shaved meat was tasty and generously applied; however, I would have liked it to be a bit crispier on the edges. They cooked fresh and pre-shaved meat on the griddle with a bit of water to moisten. I asked for lettuce with the usual tomato and sweet sauce, of course!
Jordan G — Google review
Great Donairs. Have yet to be disappointed by one. Visit at least once a week. Prices are reasonable, and always have Friendly service. Only stool and counter type seating, this restricts eating with a group or people bound to a wheelchair. Overall well worth the stop if your in the market for a donair.
Evan C — Google review
Donair poutine was flavourful and loaded with toppings. Meat was a tad dry but the donair sauce and gravy made up for it.
Jordan R — Google review
We ordered a large donair and it was very good. The pita was the same size as a regular so who knows. I would be try it again.

Mashawee Mediterranean Grill is a budget-friendly spot with delicious plates and wraps made from halal meat. The staff are friendly and welcoming which makes the atmosphere feel like you're having a meal with family.
Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so we decided our first meal in Halifax (after a long flight to get here) is to give this place a try. The food is absolutely amazing and delicious! We got the Kufta Kebab Platter and the Mashawee Veggie Platter. So good! The spicy rice is absolutely delicious. I enjoyed my Kufta Kebab and the Grape Leaves are delicious as well as the falafel.

If anyone wants authentic Mediterranean/Gulf cuisine this is the best spot in halifax. Very wholesome homely vibes and comforting service. Cheap price considering other places in NS.
Abdul R — Google review
One of the best - if not the best - middle eastern food I've had in Atlantic Canada / France. Rice is cooked perfectly, and they have spicy rice for those who like it. Chicken is very good and greay hummus consistency.
Rayan K — Google review
Came here after two years. Quality of service gone down. When you hire non Canadians obviously the food won’t taste the same . Also they overcharge on the drinks …, cost of 3 meals with drinks was $68 seriously ….
SRK — Google review
The best Mediterranean food I have had in Atlantic Canada!!!!!!! The prices are so worth it, amazing portion size, and each bite took me back to the Middle East. It’s such an underrated gem ❤️ We visit each time we are in Halifax.

Ordered shawarma platter via Uber Eats. Advertised as including vegetables like pickles and turnips. Got a dry plate with a small side of coleslaw. Lmao.
Brian D — Google review
Food was amazing, the worker gave me so much sauce and potatoes it was amazing. I got the lamb dinner dish and I do not regret. Honestly very solid food reminds me of food in my neighbourhood back home in Toronto. 10/10!!

Lebanese restaurant
Catering food and drink supplier
Falafel restaurant
Mezza Lebanese Kitchen is a delightful family-owned restaurant that brings the vibrant flavors of authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine to its patrons. Recently opening a branch in Moncton, this eatery embodies the founder's philosophy of celebrating food, family, and life's joys. In Dartmouth, Mezza offers an array of dishes rich in vegetables, legumes, and grains—ideal for those seeking balanced meals while indulging in genuine Lebanese fare. Their bowls are particularly popular for incorporating plenty of fresh veggies.
I’ve been here twice and each time the staff was super friendly. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap both times and I enjoyed them. It would be nice if the wrap had more chicken, but the amount was fairly normal for the price these days and there’s still enough for it to taste good. The location was clean and I liked the music too.
M I — Google review
Worst experience ever at Mezza Lebanese Kitchen! I ordered two falafel wraps over the phone, hoping for a decent meal, but from the moment I stepped in, it was a disaster. The ladies at the counter were completely unprofessional—rude and unhelpful, setting a terrible first impression. I waited patiently, thinking maybe the food would make up for it, but I was dead wrong. When I got home and took a bite, I was shocked—there were no falafels in my wrap, just what looked like burnt powder or broken, old, burnt bits of falafel. No sauce, no care, and absolutely no flavor. On top of that, the woman at the counter didn’t even ask what I wanted in the wrap and didn’t give me my receipt. The service was as bad as the food. To make matters worse, I told her I wanted a purely vegetarian meal, and I saw her using the same gloves for handling chicken and veggies—completely careless! I checked other reviews after this nightmare, and it seems this place has a habit of delivering terrible service. All they do is ask you to send them an email in response to bad reviews—what a joke! Avoid this place at all costs!
Nishant S — Google review
The quality has gone down hill for quite some time now. This is the second time they forgot to put gravy on our poutine. One of the main parts of a poutine. Plus a giant piece of greasy chicken skin/fat. Something gross. Disappointed.
April B — Google review
Less chicken more lettuce in the wrap for the price of a Large shawarma.one girl closed the lid of the chicken casserole as another girl fills up chicken in shawarma so she accidentally doesn't put the right amount.Nice cheap tactic , Wonder how they cut short main ingredients in other orders.unhappy with the visit.
Rohit S — Google review
Absolutely in utter shock to find out how less chicken they give in Shawarma bowl. Few shreds of chicken 95% greens. I paid $19.63 CAD for this garbage. Absolutely disgraceful.
Sudhir G — Google review
My pal ordered on Uber tonight and not only did the Uber driver have to wait over 15 minutes making the order super late....when it arrived a chicken shawarma plate had barely any chicken!? After all that waiting this is pretty poor.
B M — Google review
The restaurant was fine, but with so many great restaurants in the Halifax area I just don’t know why you’d go here. If it’s the only option then fine, the food is certainly not bad, but there is nothing distinguishing it from any other generic fast food restaurant.
BP — Google review
I ordered a Donair plate and they sent me cold donair pieces swimming in watery liquid with a soggy pita on top. There was a maximum of one tablespoon of tabouli salad for which I paid extra. All the croutons in the Fattoush salad were soaking in the liquid and the salad only had a few old chunks of tomato, stale cucumbers, some lettuce and radish. There was almost half a cup of liquid left after taking out all the food from the container. The quantity of donair and salad was less than previous orders. It was packaged poorly. They should not have combined salads which had watery dressings with pita and donair. I received uneatable food for $21.

GrillWay & Catering is a cozy restaurant in Bedford, NS, CA that welcomes dogs at their outdoor picnic tables. They offer a mix of Syrian cuisine and BBQ, with options like chicken or beef shawarma, mixed kabob meals, and barbecue lamb chops served with hummus and pita bread. The restaurant is known for its delicious and fresh food, including the popular beef shish kebab.
The food is immaculate, great portions compared to the price, yet the quality is top notch. The service was great, they were very nice and accommodating. I can't recommend this place enough. I can't wait to come back to come back.

Had the beef shawarma meal, to go. Was pretty solid. The wrap was crispy, the beef was tasty. Fries were crispy. I ended up combining the wrap with some of the pickled turnip which definitely gave it a needed punch. Overall pretty good shawarma.
Rhys M — Google review
Don’t miss this amazing place - you will be welcomed by warm, friendly and hardworking people and served delicious food! Juicy kabobs and a beef shawarma are our favourites! Sweets are very good too! You can dine-in, take out or enjoy your summer day/evening right there in the outside picnic area.

I invited my friends for a lunch gathering. We had a great time there, it was a good experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing we ordered the charcoal grilled bbq mix, and the flavors were outstanding, the food was served hot and fresh. We had informed the restaurant ahead of time about our arrival, and they were well prepared. The food came out right on time, and we didn’t have to wait, which made the whole experience even better. All my friends were amazed with the food. Great service, delicious food, and perfect timing I definitely recommend this place for group lunches or special gatherings!

One of the best authentic shawarma in halifax. Must try. Highly recommended
Shakir S — Google review
Grillway is hands down the best shawarma spot in Halifax. The flavors are absolutely incredible and every bite feels fresh and satisfying. The garlic sauce is rich and creamy with just the right kick, and it pairs perfectly with their tender, juicy shawarma. The fries are crisp and golden and taste amazing when dipped in that garlic sauce. Portion sizes are generous so you always leave full and happy. The staff are warm and friendly and the service is quick even when they are busy. The place is always clean and welcoming and the food is consistently top quality. Whether you are grabbing lunch on the go or sitting down for dinner Grillway delivers every time. It is the kind of place you keep coming back to because it never disappoints.

Butcher shop deli
Vegan restaurant
Real Fake Meats is Halifax's first plant-based butcher shop and deli, offering a variety of 'veggie meatz and cheeze.' Owner Lauren Marshall creates vegan versions of favorite dishes like the Smokey Maple Faken (plant-based bacon), made-to-order Veggie Donairs, and Crunch Wraps. The shop opened in January this year and has quickly gained popularity.
The BEST plant based restaurant in Halifax.....in Nova Scotia... in Atlantic Canada....maybe in all of Canada. I've been eating here since they opened. Today we had the Festive Poutine (on special), pizza rolls and a BLT bagel (add pickle, with spicy mayo). This place never disappoints. Lots of grocery items to choose from as well.
Christopher P — Google review
Friendly staff, lots of choices. Only 4 seats to dine in, and it wasnt busy. Definitely a take-out-popular place. Decided on a crunch wrap, and a Vanilla Bean cheesecake slice. Both were fantastic. My wife has a dairy and meat protein allergy so we're limited in spots to dine out at. If I lived nearby I would frequent this place.
B “ — Google review
I have been vegan for 10 years, lived most of that in Ontario, and this is hands down the best vegan food spot I've ever had the chance to eat at! There are so many choices, it's incredible that they sell they're products and it's such a chill atmosphere! I had the club sandwich and the truffle garlic fries, both to die for. Thank you Real Fake Meats for your service!!
Isa-Bella L — Google review
Absolutely delicious plant based food of all kinds. We managed to get enough on our first trip to put together a delicious meal, only to return the next day to purchase even more. The real fake meats, the plant-based cheezes and delicious desserts are all ready for take home, plus you can also get hot meals prepared which are absolutely wonderful. every bit of food we got from there was exceptional, and we really wish this place was closer to home for us, as we would be there all the time!
Karl B — Google review
Where have you been hiding! If you’re Vegan you have to try this place! Club Sandwich and Chicken salad wrap that are truly out of this world! Definitely filling up my suitcase with plenty of goodies for us and family. Amazing staff and highly recommend, keep up the great job and loved the smile!
Harry B — Google review
We tried Real Fake Meats for the first time while in town. We decided to go another time prior to departing time since it was so delicious! I ordered the Crunchwrap on both visits, while my bf got the chicken wings (more like nuggets) and the ham and cheese sub. Everything was flavorful and filling. A definite winner for Halifax, and sad that I can’t eat here daily.
Kat — Google review
Went for the first time today, I had the ham an egger it was very good! I only got a picture of the breakfast menu side but the rest of their amazing food is on the back. They get you to order and pay first then sit down and eat which I didn’t understand, because they ask for a tip and how can you tip without knowing how well the service and food is. They have a lot of gluten free options which is amazing and lots of meatz and cheezes and baked goods / dips that you can buy and take home. I got 3 of their gluten free frozen dishes.

It’s really nice to find a vegan restaurant in the middle of Halifax ! Menu is very exciting ; we ended up having wings, buffalo noodles and donair bowl. Everything was pretty good, except the cashier forgot to ask rice or lettuce for the bowl and we noticed only afterwards that we could have had the bowl with rice 🥲 donair meat was also a bit dry, I didn’t really like the taste. My fav was def the sauce in the noodles !

If you're on the hunt for genuine Middle Eastern flavors, look no further than 7 Peppers Grill. This gem offers generous portions and a diverse menu, with their shawarma wraps stealing the spotlight. Diners rave about the tender chicken shawarma and crispy falafel wrap, both bursting with flavor. The mixed shawarma plate is perfect for those seeking a hearty meal. Guests have also enjoyed succulent chicken skewers and flavorful lamb kebabs, complemented by perfectly spiced rice.
Best chicken shewermas in Halifax at reasonable price! Always the most tasty succulent and filling foods with great service. Highly recommended for all food lovers! For convenient parking use back entrance near Atlantic superstore as the front entrance is on a busy road so parking is harder to find.

Excellent food, the brothers at there were very cordial, reasonable pricing. The shawarma mix plate would definitely fill you up.

Their food was great. The seasonings made the taste of salad great. The skewers were perfect. It’s a recommended place if you want something tasty but not too spicy

Seven Spices, a Syrian restaurant that serves up some delicious food! I recently had the pleasure of trying their chicken shawarma and falafel wrap, and I have to say that both were absolutely fantastic. The chicken shawarma was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of spices to give it a flavorful kick. And the falafel wrap was packed with crunchy, fresh veggies and a deliciously seasoned falafel patty that was cooked to perfection. Overall, I highly recommend Seven Spices to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Syrian cuisine. The quality of their food is truly top-notch, and I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes!

It was our first time ordering the food from them and we were so surprised! The food was so tasty and the portions were big!! The chicken skewers was so tender and juicy, the lamp kebab was so delicious! I also love the spice in the rice, very tasty! There’s only one thing I am curious, we ordered chicken kebab plate, but it came with 2 lamb Kebab and 1 chicken skewer. However, we do love their food so much. Will definitely gonna order it again soon!

Highly recommend this small business, very kind staff, generous portion and amazing food! We even got complementary soup. Thank you so much and we will come again for sure

The hostess was really good and friendly.. the food was not as par as I was expecting. We had the chicken kebab and lamb kebab.. both were alright , quantity will serve a good sized apetite.. ambiance isn't that great. Would prefer for take outs.. there are better Lebanese restaurants in town.. this wouldn't be my first pick..
