The absolute BEST PLACE for ice cream!! The smell when you walk in is my favourite smell. I recommend the Wowie Cowie and the Mesie Bessie!!

COWS icecream is so good! It’s very creamy & their serving sizes are just enough to fill you up. They have many different flavours to choose from with descriptions of what is in each flavour on their website (they have a QR code you can scan on location) so you’re aware of any ingredients in case of allergies or personal preference. This location also has lots of merch you can purchase & also other milk related products to purchase. They also have multiple employees working especially at peak hours so sometimes the line will be out the door, but wait times shouldn’t be too long. I’d highly recommend trying it out

I’m not usually an ice cream person, but this small ice cream chain really won me over. Their ice creams are rich, flavorful, and have a wonderfully creamy, milky taste. I enjoyed them so much that I visited three times during my stay in Halifax!

Tried it . Not worth the price . I cannot say that is bad but even a simple flavour like chocolate it s not intense and it s 7 $ dollars for one scoop. At Deedee I pay 7$ with a nice waffle and 2 big scoops that really taste good . I grow up in Italy so I know something about ice cream . And I can definitely tell that the price is not realistic. Other than that staff was nice .

Love Dee dee’s. Always has some unique flavours you won’t find anywhere else. Their ice cream is thick, and almost chewy, maybe buttery? Love the vibe and in a great location, close to the commons. They always seem to be lined up out the door, down the street, but do a great job at clearing the line. The great part is you can get half scoops of 2 flavors so you don’t have to commit to one. Think this is the best place for in house ice cream in the city.

Worth the wait!!! A neighbour near the ice cream shop told us it was worth lining up, and they were absolutely right! I got the sesame and coffee flavours, both were rich and creamy, and the waffle cone made it even better. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Halifax!

Very cute ice cream shop, but there weren’t many flavour options. I went with a classic chocolate. It tasted like your typical chocolate ice cream, but with a smoother texture.

I loved the berry sorbet and the vanilla almond ice cream. I will definitely be back for more Mango sorbet is my favourite here. Typical wait time in the evenings is 20-25 minutes but so worth it!

Tried a few flavours among us, my favourites were the lemon blueberry and vanilla. The ice cream is soft and creamy. It’s not overly sweet so you can definitely have 2 scoops to try two flavours! Such a reasonable price for ice cream too!! Definitely worth a try!

Best kept secret in Halifax. The store is large, bright and beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. The ice cream is incredible. Did not have any chocolate but a very large selection. AAA+++ certainly will return next time in Halifax

Genuinely the most amazing cafe I have been to, coming from someone who has travelled all around Canada, and parts of Europe. The service is the biggest factor to stand out, it was absolutely amazing, I had the pleasure to be helped by two different guys and they were both so incredibly kind and helpful, (I unfortunately did not catch their names) Not to mention the environment was immaculate, very clean and peaceful. Even the prices are reasonable for such high quality food/ beverages. I had gotten macarons, and hot chocolate. As a culinary student graduate, you can absolutely tell how much care went into making the macarons, and hot chocolate. The macarons were very soft and fluffy with the most perfect crisp exterior, and the hot chocolate was amazingly rich. If you were to go to one cafe in Halifax, make it this one! I hope this business continues to flourish and keep up its high quality standards. (Did I mention the staff were amazing?)

I already purchased my Easter chocolate from Rousseau this year. The best chocolate ever. It’s tradition to have my large egg. So beautiful !! And of course I love the sea beings. I love everything about this place. Top notch products & service - every time !!

I am a certified chocoholic and coffee addict and this is my FAVORITE place for both! I came here 4 years ago and my family didn’t hear the end of it. Everyone who knows me, knows of this place. Get a coffee with a taster (3 truffles). Truly amazing quality.

The best hot chocolate in Halifax without a doubt! Popped In for a treat today and was blown away. My first time in and I was not disappointed at all. The store was incredibly clean and organized. The seating options were cozy and modern. And the chocolate! Simply amazing, had a cookie, chocolates, and macaroons. 10/10

Another new place for me, and they had a dairy free option with their “New Vegan Sundae: Love Me Do” (vegan vanilla scoops, white chocolate pistachio cookie crumble, and strawberry sauce) if you need. I was excited to try this out, I went with two friends who had gotten the Small Sundae: Neapolitan ($9) and a Large Sundae: Caramel Crunch ($10), all pretty well executed! It could have been a filled a little more. For $2 more than a small I had less “vanilla scoops” in my cup and more whole pistachios, rather than pieces, sitting at the bottom in my sundae. I cannot complain about whole pistachios, but there’s a time and place. Delicious, absolutely, but maybe not quite worth the price that day. Important note: the wait was 10-15 minutes in line on a hot Saturday afternoon.

Hehe, I absolutely love Dairy Bar and their ice cream! It’s such a cute little booth-style takeout spot, and I actually enjoy getting in line because it makes me excited for my turn. I always order the Kiddo Sundae — it makes me happy every single time. The staff are super friendly and pleasant to chat with, which makes the experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

There was quite a long line before we could place our order — usually a good sign! Fortunately, the weather was beautiful, so we didn’t mind the wait. I went for a small blueberry soft-serve cone, and my son had the salted caramelized crunch sundae. Both treats were enjoyable, though not especially memorable compared to what you'd find at most other dairy spots.

Betrayal of trust! I was scammed out of half my ice cream, how do you charge 7$ for a cup of ice cream with a hole through the centre, as well as 3$ for a little drizzle of apple sauce. Good soft serve but treating customers like this is an act of betrayal! When I approached the employees they claimed that it was just “how they make it”. This has never happened in previous visits and shouldn’t be the new standard!

I tried ice cream here twice. Once I tried the coffee-cinnamon one which was so delicious. I ordered small but it was very big which isn’t a bad thing. I also tried the hibiscus one which was so big and easily for two people so be careful.

May 2024 5* It is famous PEI Ice-cream shop located next to Halifax Ferry Terminal. There is shopping area and ice cream area in the back. You can find so many flavours. I tried : - Strawberry 🍓 - Wowie Cowie - Vanilla Trick is that you can ask staff to put 3 smaller scoops and pay for 2 scoops.

I discovered Cows last year while travelling in PEI, where the company is based. I loved the ice cream, so when I spotted a Cows kiosk on the Halifax waterfront, I knew I had to get a scoop. The ice cream was great, while I enjoyed walking on the waterfront as I ate my waffle cone.

This is a popular location deep at Halifax Harbour making it perfect to get an ice cream and enjoy it by the ocean. They have lots of popular flavors like Coffee, Chocolate, Strawbery and so on. The taste is amazing and one scoop is big enough if you're not that hungry.

Good place to go if you want to try the famous cow's ice cream. Because this kiosk is in the middle of everything, expect a long line up. If you want to enjoy your ice cream instead of having to keep up eating it before it melts, get it in a cup. The ice cream itself was delicious! I had the Black Angus Forest and loved every bite of it. 3 stars because debit/credit was down and we didn't find out until we were at the window after waiting in line for 10+ min.

Had a fabulous experience at Marble Slab. This outlet is at Lacewood Drive plaza. Hence loads of parking space. If you're craving for some ice creams imagining any flavor this is a go to stop. You will have numerous flavors to choose for your ice cream and they'll mix it well with your toppings be it fruits, cookies, chocolate, sprinkles, gummies. The ambiance inside is joyful with several seats, you can have your ice cream there or come out with it. You get an option to choose the cone, or cup for your Icecream. The price is reasonable. The staff is extremely supportive and approachable. I would highly recommend this place to have ice cream with friends and family or can even eat alone.

It was our favourite ice cream for a long time. The variety of toppings is great, the price is fair but the last time we went Sept 2021 the ice cream was kept cold enough. It was like a frozen soup right from the start. Look closely at my photos and its like that even in the fridges.

Update: the owner let me know that the cake i received was not correctly made and we got another filled with double Mixin's! Yay. Everything about service and ordering was great. But i got a peanut butter cup ice-cream cake and I'm SO bummed. There is nothing in the cake???? If youre ordering an ice-cream cake be prepared to get JUST an ice cream cake. Solid chocolate ice-cream. Theres nothing in it. Really disappointed for $40. Ive had lots of marble slab in store and its awesome so i was really shocked to find nothing in there.

A big Kudos to Halifax Marble Slab Creamery! This is my mom’s favourite place for her birthday cake so I ordered a peanut butter chocolate cake for her 78th. When my husband went to pick it up, they didn’t have the order- I had forgotten to send the order in 🫣. The staff madly worked to build my mom her favourite birthday cake for her birthday dinner. Ah-mazing service! Thank you and so sorry for the stress!!! 🙏

That's was good but not much. It's totally not worth 7$ a cone of ice cream. Also, because they mixed everything in a plate...everything is melted so annoying. It was cool to try but don't recommend it.

I’m a big,big ice cream fan and was so excited to try Cows when I visited Halifax this summer. I was soooo disappointed. I decided to try Black Bear as well and boy oh boy was it WAAAAAAYYY better! Great flavour. Creamier/richer tasting ice cream. Don’t be fooled by the prices. A ‘single’ is two scoops (a lot of places do this). There’s no merch or gimmicks here. JUST GREAT ICE CREAM! Don’t miss it!

Long line but the do push you through fairly quickly. Loads of flavours to choose from. I would say about as pricey as any other “Ice cream shop”. Got the moon mist because you have to when in the east coast! Delicious. (Picture is my already well enjoyed single scoop)

I recently visited Booza Emessa, and had the most delicious ice cream ever! The flavors were rich and creamy, and the texture was perfectly smooth. I know I should have taken a photo before eating, and I know this review is long, but hear me out. Let’s start off with essentials: Spotless store. Clean with a welcoming and traditional welcoming. Love the decor. Amazing and friendly service. The ice cream is a must-try. It’s a complete different experience for your tastebuds. This isn’t your ordinary basic ice cream. I don’t know how to describe it in writing but if you around the area, you gotta stop by. So many delicious flavours, but don’t sweat it, samples come flying towards ya with a smile. Eat indoors or enjoy an amazing view outside. Dairy queen is everywhere, ben & jerry’s can be bought at anytime. But this is something new, family run and homemade. The texture, flavours and consistency, it’s all new. In the photo I got banana and dark chocolate and I am more than satisfied. Thank you for reading.

The staff here are wonderful! Gave me like 10 free samples to try different flavors to find the combination I wanted. Ended up mixing key lime and papaya and it was fantastic. Definitely a different texture than I'm used to but it was very good. My brother in law from Syria also said it was very good as well.

For one of the best ice cream experiences in Nova Scotia, visit Booza Emessa. The charming staff offer up samples aplenty, and they will happily mix flavours in any size bowl, finally topping off your treat with crushed pistachios. Syrian ice cream is known for being a bit chewy or stretchy. It's sweet but not overwhelming. The quiet and shady back patio has views of the Bedford Basin. Booza Emessa is worth the trip.

The texture and flavors were great, i had to sample so many before deciding on which and it was still difficult to choose. I went with lemon. But I tasted the coffee, raspberry, mastic, chocolate, melon, nougat. I will have to go back for more. The owner was great with recommendations of ice cream combos.

My wife, daughter and I went for some ice cream on very hot day this past Sunday. I had pecan butter tart with cloud, my wife had chocolate fudge with cloud, and my daughter had cotton candy with cloud. We all enjoyed the experience and the novelty of the cloud. My wife and I really liked our choice of flavour. My daughter not really being used to having alot of sugar all at once she didn't feel well afterwards. Cotton Candy being super sweet who knew lol. Overall it was really tasty ice cream with a good experience and reasonable pricing.

Ice-cream with a cloud, sounded exciting and we tried. Lighthouse Lemon and Gold Rise was our choice. It was delicious but a bit messy as the candyfloss around didn't help. It looked pretty, perfect for Instagram shots and the children would enjoy it much more than an adult. So go for the plain ones if you don't want sticky messy hands and clothes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Outside seating is available. Apart from Ice-cream, they had Cookies and Donuts which looked delicious.

As an used to be Ice cream chef guy, I can tell you that this place rocks, looks really clean and neat, the fog thing I have never seen In my life, it's such a great idea! Professional staff, really clean. It is a bit pricey, but to try something new I would not give it a cold shoulder.

I've been dying to try this place and finally got the chance to last week. I LOVE the look of the shop and the branding and graphics. Fantastic for photos. There was a line but it took us less than 10 minutes to place our order. I got the "Seas the Day" ice-cream creation and my friend got the chocolate soft serve with sprinkles. We waited about 20 minutes after placing our order to get it. But when I got my ice cream I was SO impressed with the look and care that went into making it. It was beautiful. My friend's cone looked really nice too. However, they started melting INSTANTLY very quickly as soon as we got outside. It was literally dripping down our hands and onto our clothes and shoes. They hadn't given us any napkins either. I also saw others around me seeming to struggle too. My friend gave up on his and threw his out. I finished mine but it was so stressful doing so. Luckily a lady there had baby wipes to give us so we could wipe off. I am wondering if they are not keeping their soft serve cold enough. I'm giving this place 4 stars because for me it was worth it to get something so beautiful and instaworthy.

This place has become my go to place to come and read or work on my laptop, lots of table space good wifi and they play good music too. The food and drinks are really great too- although sometimes the hot drinks are a little too hot. The service is really great too, super friendly people.

One of my favourite cafes in Halifax. Their hours are amazing and their coffee is always good. I’ve never had a bad experience here and so many menu items are delicious. Another thing I love is that the staff are so welcoming and friendly!

This place is a little slice of heaven. The espresso is bold without being bitter, and the baristas genuinely love what they do — you can taste it in every cup. I could spend hours here reading or just people-watching. Highly recommend the lavender latte!

A very cute place, delicious food and drinks their muffins and bagels are so good. Can be very busy often and there is not much room in the place so it can get quite crowded. But definitely a place to check out if you are in the area:)

Absolutely love this shop! The chocolate here (milk and dark) is delicious. They always have themed chocolate for whatever occasion is current. Prices are fair, staff welcoming and always helpful. This is our new go to for shopping NS local when it comes to chocolate.

I was gifted with some chocolates from this shop and I was really impressed with the freshness and quality. I made the drive to visit for myself and I was again wowed, this time with the selection and the friendly service. These aren't mass produced confections; they're true artisanal delights. We have several good chocolate places in Halifax to choose from, but this is my favourite now.

What a cute little shop! They do offer samples, which is nice when you're new to their products - not all chocolate is the same. We ended up buying some dark chocolate almond bark and a dark chocolate caramellow (I think they call it a Caramel Cloud). Both were delicious and reasonably priced for custom hand made chocolates. Will be back around Christmas to see what kind of things they offer!

The smell hits you like a dream when you first walk in. So much to choose from! You can choose packages or individual delights and in the summer ice cream is another treat you can indulge in. A must visit if you’re in the Elmsdale or Enfield area. Quick and easy to get to from the hwy.

Happened upon this charming place by complete accident while walking around town sightseeing. Staff was so lovely. Had the chocolate Cruffle. OMG. Was probably the most delicious thing I've had in a long time. Made a plan to come back the next day for lunch where they didn't disappoint. The Sweet&Spicy pulled chicken was fantastic. Just the right amount of spice for my white-gurl-palate to admire. In town till Sunday, I might have to make it a three-peat! So yummy!

SO good!! Best matcha ice cream I’ve had and the tiny taiyakis had such a delightful crisp while maintaining a soft interior texture! Absolutely delish and the atmosphere was really cute too!

Cafe Taiyaki 52 has perhaps the BEST taiyaki I've ever had in Canada. While it is a bit overpriced (I had a matcha custard taiyaki with a milk iced coffee (T52 coffee) for almost 10 dollars), it was worth it, and I want to come back before leaving Halifax. The house coffee, T52, was very tasty. The shopkeeper introduced it to me as the "special double double," but I'd say it's the usual Korean milk coffee. It was creamy, pleasantly sweet, but not too sweet like the actual double-double. The matcha custard taiyaki was the star of all of these - the outer layer was super crispy (it even had some pieces fall off as the "chips," which I could use to dip the whipped cream and chocolate sauce on the plate). The taiyaki cake itself was just perfect. It was crispy on the outside but super soft and creamy inside, and very fresh and hot. The custard was sweet, comforting and delicious, which was perfectly paired with the outer buttery skin. I don't think anything else could beat this combo as the perfect breakfast. The shop was super clean, well-organized and comfortable. The service was excellent. I love this cafe. 4.5 stars because it's a bit pricy.

I visited this place with my sister Daria and genuinely I have mixed feelings about it. First, I want to state that it’s a nice place to sit at. Good music, pretty plants and decorations, very clean. Second, the food is kinda mid and overpriced. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it tasted very strange- it was sweet and salty at the same time, and the chicken itself had a weird taste and structure of it. The fishes (vanilla and mochi fillings) tasted okay but nothing special. The drinks were okay too, but as I said, not worth the price. Third, the customer service wasn’t good. I had to stand up and go back to the table because they didn’t give me any sugar or napkins. The girl at the counter wasn’t really friendly and it felt awkward to order / choose food. Overall, this place is okay in general, but for such price I’d consider going to better places such as Pane e Circo where the food and drinks are worth its price.

Had the chocolate ice cream with peanut cups and English toffee. Tasted good with a nice cone as well. Not sure about their staffing and operation model. Only one girl serving with another just doing cash and another just doing cones. Based on this there was a long slow lineup.

An amazing ice cream place, one of the best. We were first-timers to Halifax this August, and just had to stop by and get some sweet treats, which my daughters absolutely loved - bubble gum, and cookie monster. I myself had birthday cake, which was amazing - didn't even know such a flavour existed! Portions were generous and the staff were very nice.

Pane e Circo is such a beautiful spot to enjoy a coffee! With an Italian touch, they serve illy coffee and offer a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches, croissants or paninis, salads, and even gelato. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

I made this my first stop to start my first day in Halifax, and I loved it. Beautiful place with a great atmosphere. I picked up a few sweets, and it was a nice touch that they deliver your coffee right to the table. It’s always those small details that make the experience better. Absolutely superb customer service—and then, just a short walk away, you’re ready to start your day.

Great variety of food and beverages, both high quality and delicious. Service is also outstanding. I took the mushroom panini and I was impressed with the flavor and freshness of it. Plus, the bread was really good. And the matcha latte was just perfect in terms of temperature, sweetness, flavor, everything!

Tried the Pistachio Chocolate Croissant, which was the best pistachio chocolate croissant I've had in Halifax! 😆It was very crowded, so if it's rush hour, you'll have to wait for a table.

Went there with a friend, had two almond croissants with hot coffee latte and cold ice latte. Loved the snacks and enjoyed the environmental buzz filled with family, friends, and old ladies and gents. Loved the cozy wibe. It was a lovely day, people sitting in patio and many inside in much colder place.

This is a lovely place with great drinks and the staff is super helpful and kind! I’ve come here a couple of times now and never really ordered a whole lot of the food items (although they look delicious) but the drinks I have tried are amazing! The fruity drinks taste fresh and you can tell they are made with good quality ingredients rather than a whole bunch of artificial flavours, and the ones I’ve tried haven’t been overly sweet either. It was a great place to sit in on a hot day as the drinks were refreshing and the AC was very much appreciated haha. A little busy but aside from that the place is nice and service/drinks are great! (They also have the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen which is automatically a 10/10 for me)

Excellent coffee and pastries. I had a cortado, breakfast sandwich and almond croissant. Great coffee and the croissant was so delicious. I saved half for later and it was still very yummy. My friend had a cinnamon bun and also loved it. The place was nice and the fresh tulips in each table gave it a special touch.

Beautiful patio with loads of seating. The ice cream is tasty and portions are great but there are limited flavours in my opinion, depending on the day. Still a fun place to check out and hang with your friends or family!

Worst ice cream experience of my life. Last week I ordered the "super" sundae. Which should be renamed "super terrible sundaes". . Or just take them off the menu or drop the price... I ordered the berry berry good First off the size of this sundae was a complete joke. I thought the young lady handing it to me was a joke. I said this can't be my order... why is it so small? Secondly there was more whip cream than ice cream, less ice cream than a single soft serve cone. The "berry berry" topping had zero flavor. It had "berries" in it. Yet to know it was flavorless fruit topping. Then I get to the bottom of the bowl after about 4 bites because of how small this was and the bits at the bottom were extremely stale. What a waste of $10, would have been much happier with a blizzard from DQ for half the price.

This Chicken Little cafe is so cute. The servers are friendly. This cafe is in Bedford area. They have chicken burger, however don't expect the chicken burger like other burger places. It's the old Canadian style chicken burger(image attached). Must try their Sweet Saviour Pork burger. They have good choices in Ice cream with Waffle cones. Coffee must try. They also have vegan milk options. They have an indoor and outdoor seating.

I went to Chicken Little during the "Halifax Burger Bash" to try the "Fresh Off The Waffle" concoction . I was greeted by a friendly employee at the cash . The restaurant itself was very cool with an old 1950s like feel , like you would see in the movies . I liked the vibe of it . The breakfast sandwich included two eggs , two hash browns , bacon and chipotle mayo sandwiched between two 1/2 sized waffles . They give you a little package of syrup to pour over or in the sandwich as well . It tasted good , but it was cold , very cold . As well, the waffle should have maybe been toasted or crisped a bit as it fell apart on first bite due to it being too so soft . I do have a complaint for this restaurant . You have to go to the cash to ask for a key to use the washroom . After eating that sandwich, washing of the hands is necessary, due to all the syrup . I wasn't too enthusiastic about having to ask for a key , especially if there had been a line up at the cash . I have a serious health issue that requires me to sometimes have to make quick escapes to the washroom & I wouldn't know what to do if I was put in that situation in this restaurant . Hopefully that changes & I will return to try again .

The manager, Marcus, went above and beyond tonight when I visited with my dog! He noticed us waiting and immediately came over with a smile to help us. He then walked us over to Chicken Little and personally gave my dog a pup cup, he was thrilled! Great customer experience :)

We were somewhat disappointed with our visit to The Chicken Burger. Unfortunately, the food was not tasty: the chicken in the burger had an unpleasant smell of old oil, and the fries were under-salted and undercooked. On the other hand, we really liked the design of the place.

I had a terrible experience at this burger joint. The staff seemed uninterested and borderline rude from the moment we walked in. It took forever to get seated even though the place was nearly empty. The menu looked promising, but the reality was a major letdown. My burger was dry, bland, and barely warm, with a soggy bun that fell apart in my hands. The cheese wasn’t even melted, and the lettuce was wilted. The fries were cold and tasted like they’d been reheated in a microwave. The milkshake was overly sweet and artificial. On top of that, the restroom was filthy, and the dining area didn’t feel clean or well-kept. Overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and absolutely not worth a return visit. Supervisor is a girl with beard and maybe the other was owner both were uncooperative unprofessional unethical. Please shut this down before its too late.

Was pleasantly surprised to see a Cows ice cream in Bedford. Less lines then in other locations. Great selection of flavours and friendly service. This is not a retail location.... just ice cream! Also great to see the collaboration with Boomburger!

Visiting from London and my aunt Maha took me to what she called the best ice cream shop in Halifax. She wasn’t wrong. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was so fun and positive. I got to try nearly every flavour (thank you!) and every one was amazing. Creamy, fresh and full of flavour, truly some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. You can tell this place is run with heart. Huge thanks for making our visit such a great experience!

Props to the counter staff for being so amazing to check if the veggie patties were gluten free. They take allergies there super serious. The place is spotless and the staff know thier stuff. Food was awesome and would recommend based on service alone.

Ordered large Cajun spice fries with a veggie sandwich. Both were really good, especially the fries. Also enjoyed the peanuts. Never had peanuts like this in Canada before. We struggled to finish the large fries because of the quantity. They filled the cup and also threw some fries in the bag, so it was hard to finish them.

This was another spur of the moment visit to this location… mostly because of the terrible location. It’s great that we dont have to drive 10 …12 or 15 hours to visit a Five Guys, but there’s lots of vacant lots in Dartmouth Crossing .. lots of room for a Five Guys of our own 🤷‍♂️. My wife didn’t request tomatoes…or lettuce but got them anyway. That’s not a big deal but it’s sticks in the back of the mind as a bad experience…that little hiccup won’t stop me from heading back, tho.

5 Guys is a great place to go if you want an awesome burger. The service is great and fast. They offer free fresh peanuts in the shell while you wait. Didn’t have a chance to eat them the food came so quick. Tons of fries and their milkshakes are good too.

The person at the till didn't seem like they wanted to be there, or could have just been having a hard day. Still, our order was correct. I love all the burger topping options, and the copious amount of OMG-SO-PERFECT fries will satisfy even the hungriest. One thing I really appreciate at 5 Guys is their common sense about bathrooms. They're not (binary) gendered. Just 'bathrooms,' as they should be. Thanks, 5 Guys, for doing your part normalizing this practice!

I have been shopping here for over 30 years. I waited over 45 min to get service at the bakery. Asked customer service to call them 3 times and still no one came. George the bakery manager was called again .. still waiting. Very disappointing. Several customer waited with me and still no service Do better Quinpool road, unacceptable time for a customer to wait and still not be satisfied.

It used to be an OK store, and convenient. Now? Lots of empty space on the shelves, security guards standing around doing nothing while there aren't enough cashiers to deal with the line-ups, and they've made the store extremely inaccessible: there's now no exit to Quinpool, so anyone who lives towards the Commons rather than Oxford has to walk around by a block or more to get back to what used to be the Quinpool exit. They seem to not want any customers who don't drive, and that's probably three-quarters of the market in the area? It's particularly inaccessible for anyone with mobility aids.

I came Sunday evening with a friend looking for a lobster, and nobody was at the lobster tank. I thought we were out of luck then we went to customer service and Meghan was kind enough to hop on the intercom to facilitate a live lobster. Excellent service

I was experiencing a severe stomach ache and needed to use the bathroom. When I inquired about the restroom, a staff member named Meghan informed me that the bathroom was out of order. In response, I asked where customers typically go when the bathroom is unavailable, and she directed me to the bathroom at the Wendy’s next door. However, just a few minutes later, I spoke with another employee who promptly opened the bathroom door for me, revealing that the restroom was, in fact, operational. I was left feeling both confused and disappointed, as it seemed that I was not given accurate information. I believe that misleading customers, especially in urgent situations like this, is unacceptable. First day in the Atlantica I have a good experience so far

Produce was terrible and most wasn’t Canadian even though fruits like apples and berries were in season. Produce seemed to be mostly sourced from the US or Mexico. Also, the public washroom was disgustingly filthy and didn’t even have soap. If this is what the employees are using, it’ll only be a matter of time before someone gets sick.

A small space with amazing food and great staff. If you dread the thought of crossing over to Halifax because of the traffic I am here to tell you it is worth it for the food. I have waited over an hour in rush hour traffic just to make it here. The chicken burgers are the best I've ever had. Make sure to follow them on socials as there is a different special burger every week. Their fries are amazing and seasoned perfectly. The mac n cheese is delicious. Just overall great food with friendly staff and a cozy environment.

Best fried chicken sandwiches in the city IMO. Mac and cheese is solid, as well as their Brussels sprouts. Brussels sprouts don’t travel super well, better to eat in store vs to go. I usually get the Nashville unless their special is looking good. Orders are usually pretty quick, they do a great job of takeout

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL... did take home, we threw out the food as it was inedible. Called and asked to speak with the manager... was told the manager would call me back and credit our food back. It's been over 21 days, and I am still waiting... very poor customer service. Chicken was overcooked, coating wasn't even... fries were very greastly, soggy, and ice cold. Very expensive trash.

I’ve came to Chkn Chop a few times over the years, I absolutely love their poutine, my 2nd favourite in the city. Their portion sizes are huge. Sometimes the poutines a little too salty to my liking though. No pepper & salt shakers at the tables, only mayo and vinegar. On this visit I saw a Reddit recommendation saying this was the best Mac and cheese in HRM. Maybe I just had a bad batch but it was lukewarm and didn’t have exceptional flavour. It was still good though. I’ll be back in the future for more delicious poutine in the future!

I have had Humani-T Cafe on our list for months - I've always been drawn in by their delicious looking gelato! We finally had a chance to pop in today, and this place is much bigger inside than I anticipated! They are also so much more than just a cafe; we really underestimated it. They have lots of loose leaf teas and accessories, a unique variety of dried goods (I found barberries here!! They are impossible to find!!), big variety of branded condiments (like curry paste, chutneys, etc), lots of treat options with considerable attention to GF and Vegan options, a hot and cold beverage menu and of course, the gelato 😍 I had a wildberry iced tea and it was really delicious. We didn't try gelato today but I can guarantee we will be back! The staff member helping us was very friendly and even offered to let us try some of the gelato (it was very tempting). Highly recommend a quick stop in here!

EDIT: I've just been back and I'll admit - this place has really grown on me. I just tried some vegan gelato and it was fantastic! It's a funky little place that blends a health food store with a café. I'll admit that when I first showed up I puzzled over where the cafe entrance was until I realized they were one in the same. It's definitely an eclectic place, and it's probably well suited to a certain crowd. I'm not that crowd, but I won't knock a place just because it isn't my style.

One of the best vege wraps I have ever had. Toasted to perfection, great flavour combination. Tomato and brie panini was sensational. Good coffee and easy take out. Have also sat in once before. Its a pleasant atmosphere.

I purchased a blueberry cheesecake from this store and was very disappointed with the experience. After eating most of it, I noticed some dark spots. Upon closer inspection with a flashlight, I realized it was mold. While the owner did provide a full refund, this is still a serious health concern and unacceptable for food quality and safety. I have attached some pictures for reference. I hope the store takes this issue seriously and improves their quality control to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

The tomatoes slices in the pizza tasted funky, we ended up throwing it out. Wasn’t very flavorful and quite bland. We got the sheesh tawook pizza, it was basically unseasoned chicken and unsalted fries (guessing threw in frozen) as toppings.

For convenience store pizza its about as good as it gets. Their ice cream sandwiches are a must, they use really high quality ice cream in them and the cookie they use is the perfect texture. Definitely stop by if youre in the neighborhood!

We heard about homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches .... And we HAD to check it out. Last night was our first visit to Triple A to get an ice cream sandwich so we could taste the experience ourselves. Right from the moment we entered the store, every employee greeted us with a friendly "Welcome" and offered assistance. The store is filled with the wonderful aroma of freshly cooked pizza and garlic fingers and saw refrigerated cases full of individual cheesecakes, ice cream sandwiches, muffins, and more. This really is a corner store where you can get those few grocery items, supper, dessert and snacks in one spot! We immediately found the ice cream Sandwiches and we're amazed at the variety available . .and the homemade chocolate chip cookie dough cookies we delicately thin, and JUST the PERFECT texture and structure for an ice cream sandwich. (I could easily buy just the cookies!) 🍪 I chose the Oreo ice cream sandwich and hubby chose peanut fudge crunch. Although we knew that we would like them, we were both amazed at how perfect it is.... perfectly delicate, tasty and the cookie is soft enough to bite into without ice cream squishing everywhere! We meant to take a photo, but once we opened them and took a bit, we were hooked and we're enjoying the flavour so much that we forgot to take a photo! 😲 After we left and we're enjoying our frozen delight, we remarked how we were treated like and felt like family from our first step into the store. You can tell that this family truly enjoys providing delicious eats with friendly and personal service. That alone makes this store a "must eat here" designation! Bottom line: This local, family owned corner store is highly recommended. It is perfectly located in the South End of Halifax, close to the universities and definitely worth the drive for those of us who live outside of the metro area! We will be going back.

The owner of this store is a disrepectful fellow. He doesn’t know how to treat people well, especially the delivery drivers. I saw right infront of me how he was trying to demean delivery drivers who are working hard to survive in this city!! The stuff is more expensive as well. Please boycott this store.

Krave has daily Brunch special. Honestly, with the cost of everything going up it's great that breakkie under $10 still exists in the wild. Sausages were great, deep fried not bad at all. Bacon were paper thin probably oven baked but still great nevertheless. The two eggs were just right. Taters.. taters.. the taters were absolutely beyond out of this world. Would definitely get it again just because of them taters! Highly recommend! You'd need to add coffee or tea if you want something to drink as well. Service could be better though.

Food was alright. Mac and cheese didn't have much flavor. Shake was decent. Was expensive for the serving sizes. Would not recommend. Got a Mac and cheese and a Shake. Both which were very small. For over $16 total.

Went here for a birthday breakfast with a friend and it was really good..had the Krave breakfast which consists of two eggs (any style) 2 sausage, 2 bacon, tator tots,toast and coffee ☕ it was good..they took out order and we sat down, waited a bit they actually brought it to us (I'm thinking because it wasn't busy) but good service and good breakfast in my birthday 🎂🎈

This is my first time eating at Krave Burger...for 1pm on a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was fairly dead, only one other group ordering after me. The restaurant is very clean & well maintained; and the employee who took my order was very friendly & seemed really knowledgeable about the menu, suggesting that I try the standard Krave Burger. She also suggested the combo special they had on, which included the burger, fries, & a drink for $10+hst. Which is a great deal in my opinion. Everything was fresh & made to order, the burger was definitely hand made, and the fries appeared to be hand cut. As far as the burger flavour goes, it was fine, I wouldn't say it was anything special though & I definitely wouldn't order the fries again. They were quite soggy & greasy. I did get take out, however I did eat this in the parking lot so it having been in a bag for as long as it took me to walk out the door into my car shouldn't have affected anything in regards to temperature or how the food was cooked. All in all, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here again, but in a pinch, it's good value for money & the burger is fine, just not worth a special trip.

Ordered the sausage and egg breakfast wrap and it was delicious. Takes a few minutes to get your order but we'll worth it. First time trying them out will definitely be back.

Ordered a clubhouse with fries via Uber Eats for a late night snack. The club house was very good, just as you’d expect a simple club house to be. But the fries were oddly delicious, even though it was delivered (ie spent 10 minutes in a takeout container plus however long sitting there to be picked up). They weren’t crispy but they were addictive, slightly soft and limp but extremely munchable (and no, not that kind of munchable).

Great food. Can’t comment on the customer service as we ordered through Uber Eats. I’ve ordered before from Skip The Dishes, but never got the order (not surprising). I had the club sandwich with their fries, which were amazing themselves. The club was pretty nice, and exactly what I was hoping for. I also had the Greek salad with chicken. It was good, but had way more onions than I normally like. Lots of feta and chicken, though. The only real criticism is their use of styrofoam packaging. Overall, a good experience.

The owner seemed annoyed by my questions and made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior in any customer-facing business. Additionally, the store itself was poorly maintained, with cluttered aisles and disorganized shelves. The overall atmosphere was uninviting, and the negative attitude of the staff only made things worse. Specially the guy who makes pizza in the corner. I strongly advise against visiting this store unless you enjoy being treated with blatant rudeness and a total lack of consideration. There are plenty of other convenience stores in the area where you can shop without enduring such disrespectful treatment.

I would recommend if they can introduce Banoffe and fresh custard apple as a flavors, not many places serve it here.

They have the best milkshakes in town. Thick and all lot of flavour they have. They offer variety of flavours from nuts to fruits and then CHEESECAKES!!!!😍🤤 Loved their customer service too. My daughter suggested we go here and it was a great suggestion. Probably should be a 5 star but I really wanted the peanut butter cup sundae but they had no peanut butter cups. I had the peanut butter fudge cheesecake instead and the Oreo sundae, both good substitutes.

So sad to see a great business concept run so poorly. The poor sole employee (on a busy long weekend) had to watch a kid cry because management/owners don't have the proper inventory systems in place. Similar past reviews point out this exact issue, and yet it still exists. Why???

And most were dairy free, so even better for me!! I got the blue raspberry flavor, it was so good. Reminded me of a blue raspberry candy and yes. It turned my tongue blue 😆 The young lady that served me was very friendly and helpful with the menu trying to figure out the flavors for hard scoop and soft serve. Also made a recommendation on what was popular. Ice creams, sundaes, milkshakes, coffee and more here. There are a few tables and benches to sit at. The parking is a smaller but long area, so you do have to back up onto the main road unless it's clear to back in when you get there. Definitely would recommend.

This little ice cream place offers some unique vegan flavours of soft serve ice cream! I tried the birthday cake with coconut whip and strawberry sauce. So amazing! They mark what is vegan on their menu to make it easy. Vegan moon mist!!!

We drove up from the city specifically to check this place out after seeing their social media. Home made ice cream with non dairy alternatives in hard or soft! Most places cheap out and only have one vegan option. Almost every dairy option had a vegan! Lots of variety, lots of cone types including gf, lots of mixins and add ins. Beautiful little spot, a small amount of road side parking. A claw machine and two ride ons. Picnic benches and two tables. Near a view of the water. We loved it, my vegan moon mist was fantastic. If you struggle with lactose or dairy issues, they are worth the visit! Great and kind staff. Thanks for the yummy day.

Wow. We found this gem today and can’t wait to go back. Sooo many amazing vegan options in soft serve or hard scoop. My husband got soft serve and it was delicious and I got a scoop - also wonderful. They really nailed down getting the perfect textures. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and we will absolutely be going back soon. Thanks so much for having vegan options - and the ice creams all taste like they’re made with super high quality ingredients. Worth every penny!

service was extremely slow, and i received a flavour that was not advertised to me. the other ice creams i was handed looked like they had been sitting out for awhile and started to melt immediately. they are understaffed, and kept taking orders from more people. 20 minutes passed and two cones came out through that window. i am not impressed. service was kind of friendly though. the cookies in cream is maple flavoured, lemon oreo has no oreo. do not go there on a busy or hot day.

Fun. Just fun. They told you it would be fun. They were right. Fun shakes. Fun sundaes. Ridiculous beverages of all kinds. Unbelievable candy combinations. It’s small. It’s unassuming. But goodness does it deliver in what they promise - fun!

Amazing variety ! Super friendly staff, they didn’t make me feel bad for rushing in at 10:45pm for 3 awesome ice cream creations, they were pleasant and friendly and their ice creams are comparable to Sweet Jesus in Toronto only same quality without an Ontario price tag ! We got the giant strawberry cheese cake milk shake monstrosity, a coconut Sundae and a strawberry sundae, very pleased with all of them ! Will definitely be stopping back to try others any time we’re back in the area ! Unfortunately they were too good to take pics of before we devoured them!

the oreo brownie one is just delicious. the strawberry cheesecake is good too, but I'm not crazy about the milkshake taste itself. definitely want to go back and try the other ones!

Lovely place. Store is small, but selection is plentiful. If you can wait the 5-10 minutes, your reward is an awesome milkshake, each flavor having a thoughtful touch added to make it better. Store could be bigger and I wouldn't want to rush perfection but if the processing time was bumped a little, this would be my perfect summer spot.

I love ved this place the first time I went, but I returned recently and had to drop my review. The milkshakes weren't as good as the last time, their new layout is cramped and confusing for customers, and though I'm not against pot paraphernalia, it's a very weird juxtaposition. They do still have many cool snacks & drinks and a selection of tasty cereals that even Underground Snacks doesn't have.

Great milk shake, I'd recommend. There is often a line up outside that goes down the street, but service is pretty quick and they bring your shake out to you. They have a convenience store as well with everything you would normally suspect. Have to mention - owners are wonderful. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have offered to give anyone in need free milk or eggs. This behaviour should be applauded.

A lot of unique items in this store, ranging from antiques to local products. They carry Tangled Gardens jams and jellies as well as some lovely food items. Love the variety. I found some old maritime bottles in here that looked really intriguing although the owner of the shop wouldn’t give me a price for any of them and said to make her an offer. I don’t like that particular brand of sales. I’m open to negotiating, but at least give an idea of what range you are looking for.

Sarah not only offered us free delivery within the HRM, but she also took the liberty to contact each gift recipient to ensure they were received during the busy Holiday season. I truly cannot say enough about Sarah, she is not only a supporter of local & Canadian small businesses, but also supports several community initiatives, such as Feed Nova Scotia. Sarah's passion for small business & our community, is just one more reason I shop at the Lemonade General Store.

Not really worth the money, time, and effort. You don't get very good of a dessert for the cost. You're better off going to any of the nearby quality restaurants and paying about 2-4 more bucks for a really great dessert.
