Nestled on the beautiful Playa El Cortesito beach in Punta Cana, Occidental Punta Cana offers a relaxing all-inclusive experience for travelers. The resort features Spanish-style rooms with balconies and provides access to 10 restaurants and 4 pools. Families can enjoy various water activities like windsurfing, scuba diving, and kayaking, as well as relax by the three pools available.
I had an amazing experience at Occidental Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — the grounds are clean, well-kept, and full of tropical charm. The beach is stunning with soft white sand and crystal-clear water, and there are plenty of loungers so it never feels overcrowded. The pools are also fantastic, with lively areas for fun and quiet spots if you want to relax. Food and drinks were excellent with lots of variety — the buffet always had fresh options, and the à la carte restaurants were a nice touch for something extra special. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing and made every cocktail with care. Entertainment was another highlight — from live music to nightly shows, there was always something fun to do. During the day, activities like water sports, games, and dance lessons kept the energy high, but it was also easy to find peaceful areas to just unwind. Overall, Occidental Punta Cana exceeded my expectations. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, with a team that truly goes above and beyond for guests. I can’t wait to come back!

The rooms are spacious and clean. I’m very allergic to dust and humidity and I was completely fine during my stay so that definitely talks of the level of cleanliness. The rooms do need an update as furniture look outdated. Service: the staff was very nice and willing to help. BUT there is a lack of towels in the pool area. Food: very difficult to get reservations for the restaurants even though I never saw the restaurants full. The Asian restaurant is a big NO. Food was terrible there. The Mexican and steak house were really good with delicious food. Honestly I don’t like buffets and I don’t think they’re sanitary but I never got sick and ate at the buffet twice a day every day (because there are no open restaurants for breakfast or lunch). There is a buffet very close to the beach which is smaller, less crowded and really nice. I recommend that buffet instead of the one at the lobby. Music: there was excellent music at the lobby every night and a disco open from 11pm to 2am. There are also shows at night at the open theatre by the pool and several activities throughout the day. You’ll never be bored. This is not a fancy hotel but it’s a very good value.

Amazing place to stay, Greeting guests with a smile on their faces, Check in was incredibly easy made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They were always available to answer questions. I wanted to give a special shout-out to the manager, Fermin Abreu he always make sure we are taking care off, His warm and welcoming personality truly elevated our stay. It's clear they take pride in making every guest feel at home.I was very impressed by the peaceful atmosphere in this resort! It feels relaxed all around. An amazing pool and cozy rooms made it a great city escape to relax and enjoy yourself. Just what we needed to take a break.Everything was amazing!!
Pearl S — Google review
My only complaint is the food options. There needs to be a complete revamping. The restaurants were booked and busy but when you got there, there were only 3 main courses for warm food. Buffet was fine. It was packed 24/7. I also don’t like how they try to sell you everything and trick you into a 90 min meeting to sign on for their package. I wanna be at the beach, not talking to their team for an hour. Other than that, the service was GREAT. The employees loved my daughter and I will never forget that.
Kelley F — Google review
Very nice place to stay! Rooms were nice with plenty of drawers and hangers to unpack. Staff are helpful and wonderful people. Always willing to help. Pools were great, clean and fun activities throughout the day into the evening. We had a blast ☺️

Nice resort, very nice landscaping, staff all nice & attentive, our front desk concierge Ricardo Sanchez was top notch , he gave us his cell # upon checking and stated text him for anything . He escorted us to our room along with the bellman , we went to tip him and he refused saying, im just doing my job and I really didnt do anything for you. He found us daily by pool & stopped to check in, great person. We woke to a flooded hallway & bathroom after a few days in, texted him and he replied from home and stated he would be in soon and already made the call for maintance,. Within 2 hours he found us, advised we would need to change rooms and had it done very promptly. Rooms cleaned daily, no issue at all with towels or fresh sheets. , mini fridge re stocked daily. The food was OK, if you got anything from the buffet that was in the "steamtable" that was supposed to be hot, it was lukewarm at best unless it was a fresh tray that just came out. The ala carte ones were decent. Bartenders very nice, always a smile, Sandy at the pool bar was top notch, always singing and engaging with guests. The fried chicken at the pool was amazing, always hot & juicy. ! Will we go back , probably not , but we just like different resorts unless they are amazing for a return.

So far it has been great , im here for my bday week and the service has been great . Even upgrading me to pool view. Also Ricardo made sure i had no problems and any issues that i had he got them handled before he came into work .. also i had a reservation at the steak house and the server was great . Starling was my server and the food was delicious. I am vegetarian and the vegetable skewers were delectable. Also Genesis was super attentive and sweet , she made sure waters and tea were filled and brought my white wine fast . So far so good.

I had an excellent experience at Occidental Punta Cana. From the moment we arrived, ambassador Lidia Almonte helped us to complete our overall check in process and also she helped us in every corner throughout our stay and she was always ready to help with a smile. I told her that I want to see her as Manager on our next trip to Occidental Punta Cana. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. Food and drinks were amazing with lots of variety and especially the steak House.

Barceló Bávaro Beach - All Inclusive Adults Only is a beachfront resort in Punta Cana offering an all-inclusive experience with three restaurants, two bars, an outdoor pool, a spa, and even a casino. Situated on one of the world's top 10 beaches, this hotel boasts stunning sea views from 80% of its rooms, some of which feature hot tubs.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at this resort. The weather has been amazing, even though the weather apps kept predicting rain — when it did rain, it only lasted about 10 minutes at most. The room could use an upgrade; while it’s spacious, it feels a bit dated. That said, the facilities here are fantastic. There’s loads to do — definitely enough to keep you busy for two weeks. The staff have been amazing and very helpful throughout our stay. A special mention to Steve, the marketing manager — he stopped us on our first day to introduce himself, get to know us, and share useful info about the resort and things we shouldn’t miss. He even offered better discounts than others we’d seen, so be sure to find him and have a chat. His English is excellent, too

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came here for my 26th birthday and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. The food was amazing with so many options, including vegan choices, and the drinks were just as great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful anytime I had a question, they never hesitated to assist. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the entire resort was well kept. What I really appreciated was the guest services area where you can book excursions right on-site. It made planning activities so easy and affordable without having to leave the resort to search for options. From start to finish, the service, food, and overall experience were excellent. I truly loved my visit and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend babymoon. The resort was great. The rooms were clean and upkept well while we were there. The beach and pool were beautiful and we didn't struggle to find chairs at all. The only slight downside was the food. It left a little to be desired, especially from the buffet. The restaurants were much better. We had a great time and felt very relaxed by the end of the trip.

Honestly, DO NOT STAY HERE unless you’re on a very tight budget. The money you’ll save by coming here is NOT worth the expense of a very comfortable and relaxing vacation. There were so many cons of this resort that I had to start making a list so I’d remember. I’ll spare you by only naming the most notable ones. But I’ll be fair and give the pros too. Pros: Affordable, staff is friendly, nice pool, food is overall good, there’s really great live entertainment and shows, room is spacious, five restaurants came with the basic all inclusive package, and the guest services and cleaning crews are prompt with requests. Above all, the food and entertainment stood out for us. The nightly shows at the Palace were super fun and well put together. And the food at the restaurants available to us with our package, although VERY hit or miss, had a lot of hits! Now, on the cons. A lot of things are not included!!! For example, room service is not included and many of the activities the website advertises are not included. You also often find yourself hungry and with nowhere to find a snack, because there is no food at the pool or at most of the bars. There’s one place in the Palace (a short train ride away, though you have to wait 10-15 mins for the train) that’s open 24 hours and has a buffet of bar-like food. Otherwise, you have to go to one of the other buffets during their hours. Further, the train from bavaro beach (adults only) to bavaro palace is very infrequent and the system itself hard to understand, especially since trains go in different directions to different parts of the larger resort without any sort of signage. We got lost and missed dinner reservations. Now, on to the room. There is no shower curtain for some reason, so be prepared to have water all of the floor constantly. More importantly, the bathrooms are moldy, most notably around the handles and corners. There were also old blood stains on many of our towels, which is DISGUSTING. Further, they clearly don’t change the sheets everyday like they are supposed to/say they do. I know this because my bonnet left a mark on a pillow case one night, and it was the exact same pillow case when I got in the bed the next day. Amazingly, what ACTUALLY broke the camel’s back for us was when dozens of water BUGS crawled in under our door after a rather heavy rain. It was disgusting!!! In conclusion, don’t stay at Bavaro Beach. You’ll have better luck at the Palace if you’re willing to deal with kids or have kids. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!!!

I stayed at Barceló Bávaro Beach – Adults Only for my birthday and overall had a great time. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even helped me upgrade my room to a better ocean view. The room was comfortable but could be cleaner, and the furniture is a bit outdated. During the first two days, there was no cold water, and the toilets and beach showers didn’t work, but everything was fixed later, and the hotel offered a free dinner at the French restaurant to make up for it. The food was good but repetitive, and the steakhouse was disappointing. The spa at Barceló Bávaro Palace was amazing, though! The bartenders at the pool and lobby seemed tired, but most of the staff were friendly. The entertainment team was fun (special thanks to Junior!), though they could organize more activities on the beach and by the pool. The beach is stunning once cleaned from seaweed — white sand and turquoise water! Just bring mosquito repellent, as bugs bite before rain. Despite minor issues, I’d definitely recommend this resort for its beauty and relaxing vibe.
INNA K — Google review
i was a little disappointed by the buffet food, but some of the options were still nice! i just wish the food was hotter. i enjoyed eating at kyoto and santa fe. the entertainment team is so lively! i enjoyed dancing with chocolate and another woman (i didn’t get her name, she was slim with wavy hair), and i loved watching the other dark skin woman (mayi) on the entertainment team dance! i stayed a week by myself and the staff was so welcoming and entertaining! Maria S. from el caribe buffet was so friendly, i enjoyed talking with her. i will definitely try to book again! after reading some of the previous reviews: i was lucky i didn’t have no issues with my room
Chelsea Ⓟ — Google review
Overall a nice place. Reduced one star because rooms are quite dated and could use an update. Check in took very long which is annoying when you arrive after a long journey. Food was good at the buffet restaurant. I would not recommend the restaurants which are included in the package. The restaurants where you pay a bit extra are definitely better. All service staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything was very clean.
Steffen K — Google review
I just got back from this resort after spending about a week there with the adults-only all-inclusive. The good: The front desk and staff service are friendly and attentive. It was easy to get what I needed from them Chez Gourmand: this is the best of the restaurants that are included in the package. There was enough on the menu that we went there three times and it was all good or really good. The service at that spot is great The pool: the pool is really nice, with lots of shaded spots to put your towel or lounge on. There's no swim-up bar but it's right beside the pool. There are also these partially submerged chez-lounges that are excellent. There's good music around the pool and entertainment that keeps the energy up. The bars: there are some good bars throughout the resort, including one on the Palace side that has air conditioning. It was so humid when we went that it was welcome during the hot evenings. The room: we were in room 1056, and it had a view of the pool and the ocean, and was well maintained. I know these resorts get used a lot so some rundown is expected. But at our request it was cleaned every day and the bed was comfortable. Great AC The Just Ok: The beach: my only gripe about the beach was there were ONLY lounge chairs on the beach. Any shade you got had to be from the palm trees, which weren't that healthy looking to be honest. Other resorts I've stayed at had some cabanas or something for shade. Otherwise you are turned to a crisp in no time. The main buffet: The food here can be hit or miss. Some days it wasn't super interesting, and other days the food was pretty good for resort standards The resort shows: over on the Palace side they have nightly shows. The only show I liked was the Michael Jackson tribute. The circus show was alright...but the Madonna tribute...needs a lot of work, from production, to the costumes and the overall direction of that show (the backup dancers are the best part) Cost: if you want to go outside of your package, there's a cost. Everything from other restaurants to bowling costs extra. If it's just two of you, it's not so bad -- but for larger groups that can add up. If your home currency is not USD, that can increase costs even more. The bad: The Santa Fe steakhouse/Coral seafood restaurants. These are included in our package - and they're not good. Both share a buffet - and from all the cooking it's really smoky in there. The food for both from the meat/fish to the sides are just...bad. The steak is poorly cooked. I would not eat there. The service for both those places feels really impersonal - but I can understand since it's very busy and there are often larger groups. I'm not sure where to put this part but each night, especially on the Palace side, we saw HUGE 2-inch long cockroaches in the hallways. They didn't seem to be bothering anyone, or anywhere near food, but that's something to note. This resort is so big I can't imagine they'd get in somehow. Overall this resort is alright. I'd probably go back again.

Barceló Bávaro Palace is a luxurious all-inclusive beach hotel in Punta Cana, offering an array of amenities including 4 pools, a casino, bars, and 11 restaurants. Situated on one of the world's top beaches, this resort boasts stunning sea views from 80% of its rooms, many equipped with hot tubs. Ideal for families and couples alike, it provides easy access to Plaza Bávaro City Center for shopping and dining options.
Today is the last day of our 7 day trip. We had a premier room with ocean view and hot tub outside. Everything was amazing! The food and hospitality staff especially a big thanks to Jesus our concierge and Pedro at the Theatre bar for making my 60th birthday a memorable and unforgettable vacation. The one minor complaint was that the shower did not work great, very low water pressure and the overhead showers barely had water coming from them so we had to use held device Other than that we were extremely happy with all the amenities. Our favorite places to eat were the Sports Bar, Mexican and Japanese and the Spanish. Thank you Hotel Barcelo for making my 60th birthday amazing! We hope to come back again in the near future! Sincerely, Elisa Sedlacko and Joe Kiney Room 4102 ♥️♥️♥️

I just returned from spending 5 days at the resort. Upon arrival everything was fine until we got to our room. Good: The food was adequate, the amenities were really good, the location was great. The restaurant options were very good in my opinion. I was with a very large travel group and we all had mixed experiences. The shower was amazing. The staff was really nice and friendly. Bad: Our 1st room had termites in the bed which we discovered when my wife was disinfecting the room upon arrival (she does this everywhere we stay so that wasn't a reflection on the resort). The room safe malfunctioned twice. The closet door was stuck. The drinks were generally horrible except at the Caney lounge. There are other friends that also had a termite problem as well.

I had the best time with my huge family! Everyone who works at this resort is so wonderful and accommodating! Aniblaisy from the entertainment team turned my trip from a 10/10 to a 100/10! She was so kind to me every time we spoke! She introduced me to do some activities and I had so much fun every time! Also, a shoutout to housekeeping! Not only was my hotel room the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, it was perfect every time I came back because of the wonderful housekeepers! They worked so hard to make my room and experience great!

⭐ 1-Star Honest Review: Barcelo Bavaro Palace, Punta Cana If you’re thinking about staying at Barcelo Bavaro Palace, please read this first so you know what to expect. We are here with a group of 30 people, and every single one of us has had the same disappointing experience. Housekeeping & Cleanliness: Housekeeping never comes. Dirty dishes and cups have sat in our family room for days, even after calling eight times for someone to please clean. With three kids in one room, you can imagine how messy it gets. The hallways near the restaurants have cockroaches — I have videos of them roaming around. The pools are dirty, and there’s trash scattered throughout the grass areas. It’s obvious this resort is not properly maintained. Rooms & Facilities: Many people in our group had to switch rooms because the showers flood. The bowling alley and arcade smell strongly of sewage, as does the swim-up bar. Overall, the resort feels neglected and unclean. Food & Drinks: The food is absolutely terrible, and most of us have gotten sick from it. There are no pool or beach snack bars, so if you want lunch, your only option is the buffet — which is awful. The coffee is so bad we couldn’t even drink it, which was especially disappointing because one of our favorite parts of vacation is enjoying coffee on the balcony in the morning. Staff & Service: The staff are not friendly or welcoming, and getting help for anything feels like pulling teeth. There’s no sense of hospitality or care for guests. Hidden Fees & Inconveniences: This resort calls itself all-inclusive, but that’s far from the truth. You have to pay extra for: • Room service • Bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and water parks And they even charge you for the basics: • Lose your towel card? $25 fee • Lose your room key bracelet? $50 fee Dining Reservations: To eat dinner, you must make a reservation in person at the main lobby, which is not air-conditioned. The process is disorganized, long, and extremely uncomfortable. Check-In: Check-in was chaotic and miserable — no water offered, and the lobby was stifling hot. ⸻ Overall, this has been one of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had. When you pay for an “all-inclusive” stay, you expect clean rooms, decent food, friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, this resort offers none of that. If you’re considering Barcelo Bavaro Palace, don’t. Go to Dreams Resorts instead — we stayed there last year and it was absolutely incredible in every way.
Carissa — Google review
This is the third year I’m visiting this resort and every time I come I’m very pleased with it. Staff is friendly and very helpful, rooms r clean and nicely air conditioned. Everything is so easily accessible and the beach is just amazing. I loved the spa and its pool. The food is ok but I guess when they r feeding so many people like a buffet style u can’t expect much. I loved two restaurants that we ate in the evening one is Spanish La fuente and the other is Japanese steak house. The whole experience on the resort is very relaxing and delightful. Definitely will recommend Barceló Bávaro resort.
Tina T — Google review
First time traveling to DR and loved the experience here. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the mini fridge is always stocked. Great place to relax chill in the pool or on the beach. Food is meh either too salty or no taste but makes sense when you need to feed lots of people. Favorite restaurant is Santa Fe the steak was pretty good, Kyoto was hibachi style which was cool. Definitely recommend for vacation spot!
Asuna Y — Google review
The very first thing that really bothers me is that Entertainment Crew goes around to everyone at the pool area asking to give them a 5 Star review as the resort is failing in so many other ways. Therefore, the 4.7 stars here in Google is really not representative of how terrible this place is. “All-inclusive” but you have to buy your own red bull, you have to pay for Room Service. The Bell men don’t want to work and I had to go and find my own room pushing my own luggage. It was a 30 minute walk. The people working there have not been trained at all in Customer Service. They serve you with an attitude, as if they don't want to be there. We tried getting questions answered and they didn't want to assist. There was a cockroach at the lunch buffet one day. The pool that was Coconut Bar doesn't get cleaned enough, it smells like a septic tank the area and Island of the pool bar. So sad 4 out of 5 people who I traveled to this resort came back home sick. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Go to Mexico instead.
Cristian C — Google review
This was my best hotel experience so far. The staff were so accommodating and so friendly. The food was great The nightly entertainment was amazing. From checking in to checking out, everything was wonderful. I will be returning. Additionally, Enmanuel did a fantastic job in making us feel welcomed and ensured we knew where everything was located at the hotel. He was also available to answer any questions we had during our stay.

Nestled within the expansive Melia property, Paradisus Punta Cana Resort is a luxurious all-inclusive beach retreat offering an array of upscale amenities. The resort boasts 12 restaurants, 4 pools, a spa, and even a casino. Guests can indulge in oversized suites with separate living areas, balconies or terraces, and whirlpool tubs. Families are catered to with a kids club and dedicated pool for little ones.
Paradisus Punta Cana Resort delivered a lush, tropical setting with beautiful landscaping and a spacious layout that made the resort feel like a small village. The beach was stunning, with soft white sand and calm water, and there were always plenty of loungers available. Rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, though some areas showed signs of aging. The dining experience was solid, with a good variety of restaurants and quality food, especially at the à la carte venues. Service was generally attentive, and the staff made an effort to accommodate special requests. The resort offered a wide range of activities, including yoga, biking, and nightly entertainment, catering to both adults and families. While the size of the property required a bit of walking or waiting for the shuttle, the overall experience felt peaceful and upscale, making it a strong option for those seeking a mix of nature, comfort, and all-inclusive convenience.

Had a great time here. Food was delicious everywhere. Clean beach. Clean pools. Great staff. Only reason I give a 4 star and not a 5 is that they tried selling a timeshare to us and it was annoying to wasting over half a day listening to their speech.

Horrible food, and the phone didn’t work in our room. Bartenders didn’t want to make certain drinks, way too expensive for the quality. But it is a beautiful resort but I wouldn’t ever stay there again.

The most beautiful resort. The best service and so many things to see and do. We had an amazing stay. Food was amazing and the staff were top tier. Buffet and Mina were our go to's as the food was so amazing. If you happen to get Richard or Frank as a server during your stay consider yourself in good hands. They both went above and beyond to make our stay unforgetable. Thank you for the most amazing time of our lives.

I had an amazing time went with my 11 month old and the staff was very accommodating. Special thank you to Quintino & Alberto at the bar for storing my son’s food in the fridge while I was at the pool. They also made great drinks.

Great place, good service. The only real negative was the heavy up selling that the staff are trained to do. I had already booked a suite but they tried hard to up sell, and I was traveling alone!

They deleted my review where they promised to remedy our terrible time. They didn’t no comps or anything offered other than a free tennis lesson, which is free for them and I don’t play tennis. Went to check out after a horrible stay and charged for wine and spa, couldn’t even discount that. Do not stay here!!

We had a fantastic week at Paradisus Grand Cana. 2 adults, a 13 year old and a 5 year old were all entertained, well fed, relaxed and treated like family. Anders and Darlin at the main buffet took care of us at meals (my wife was ill one night and didn’t join for dinner so Darlin made her a plate for us to take back). All the staff were friendly, saying hello and high fiving our youngest. The waterpark was the perfect size for kids to run around with loose supervision and the swim out suite gave us somewhere to hangout and relax if we want some quieter time. Truly fantastic vacation.

Pirates Island Water Park is a family-friendly attraction with various water activities. The park features a wave pool, long and short water slides, and a 4.3ft pool. Visitors can also enjoy the realistic-looking pirate ship that serves as an entrance to the slides. There is a bar nearby for drinks, and it's recommended to be cautious of the sandpaper-like floor at the beginning of the wave pool to avoid damaging swimsuits or knees.
Nice little water park with fun things to do for kids and adults. Went there two times and would come back again. It’s a little gem of Barceló Bávaro.

Enjoyed my time..though , I went with my younger cousins (5 at the time who was over the height limit) and he wasn’t allowed in. for that matter, I had to stay outside till my parents convinced the guard to let him in. Going back today… yay?
Ainhoa — Google review
A fun experience for kids and family which I enjoyed very much, not much people which was great. Bar close by for drinks and the wave pool was amazing! The only thing which you have to be careful of is that atcthe beginning of the wave pool, there is a sandpaper type floor which I assume is for grip, but could damage swimsuits or knees (from experience) so be careful for that! If you stay at the resort, make sure to stop by!

Review of Barceló Bávaro Palace – Punta Cana I stayed at Barceló Bávaro Palace last month, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. During our stay, a diamond ring and cash were stolen from our room—a violation that left us feeling unsafe and unsupported. Despite reporting the incident, the response from the resort was unhelpful and dismissive. There was no follow-up, no investigation, and no accountability. For a resort that claims to offer luxury and security, this was completely unacceptable. The lack of proper security measures and the resort’s failure to take responsibility for guest safety is alarming. I would strongly advise others to reconsider staying here, especially if you’re traveling with valuables or expect a trustworthy environment. This experience has completely shattered our trust in this resort and its management.

Great space for those with kids. One day included with any family room. After that it’s $10 per person per visit. Pretty empty. 2 long, slow water slides. 2 short, fast ones. Great 4.3ft pool. Nice realistic looking pirate ship to enter the slides. My son hit his head while visiting this park and the lifeguard was very helpful and kind and even asked me about him when he saw me later on.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is a vibrant music-themed beach property that exudes rock star swagger and luxury. Spanning 121 acres along Macao Beach, the resort offers 13 pools with swim-up bars, nine diverse restaurants, 23 bars and lounges, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a lavish spa, and an expansive casino with Vegas-style gaming options.
Beautiful resort. Large but walkable, much to do for adults and littles. Poolside and beach service is amazing. Food everywhere. Servers are pleasant and hard working. Bar tenders make excellent drink with top brand liquor. As a member, we have the bonus of being assigned a butler who made all our reservations, ensured our room was well stocked and provided lots of special touches to help us celebrate our anniversary. He tended to the details so we could relax and enjoy our trip to the fullest. Sammy was at our beck and call all the time and even surprised us with a beautiful beach dinner where he stayed I to the evening which was above and beyond. Our bar and wait staff of Yimi, Nicaius, and the beautiful and talented Scarlet, Lorena, Nicarus and Nali kept us well fed, made special drinks and served up lots of laughs. All in all, highly recommend Hard Rock Punta Cana. You will feel like family and have an amazing time. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, brightest moon and beautiful sunsets, so many food places and a pool for everyone. Casino on site and all kinds of entertainment and food options.

Mariel and OG were AMAZING! They truly went above and beyond to make my cousin’s birthday unforgettable. They arranged beautiful pool + beach décor, were incredibly attentive, handled all of our reservations, and even had a birthday cake made for her. I also really appreciate the new change allowing private transportation. Last time I stayed, I had to walk to the gate which made me feel nervous, so being able to be picked up directly was a huge improvement — thank you for that! My facial was phenomenal, as always. The only thing I would change is the Legendary pool… it’s boring. We’ve gotta fix that!! Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you again for making our stay so special!

Had an amazing trip as a family. The resort was great! Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was excellent to work with and the food and drink was great. We had the pleasure of having Brayner Rodriguez Pache as our butler. Brayner was amazing and really made it easy to get the most of our vacation. I couldn't imagine getting the same out of our experience without his assistance!

We had an amazing time and experience at the Hard Rock Punta Cana Resort! The trip was a 10/10! Throughout our trip, we had some outstanding people that gave us outstanding service and deserve a huge shout out! First off, our butlers (Cristobal and Reydisson) were absolutely fantastic! We had a dinner cooked for us that was served in our common dining space which was absolutely delicious made and served by Domingo, Gullermo, and Israel. Down at the Legendary Bar on the beach, Jhon, Yimi, Argenis, and Lorena all took care of us and were all super incredible too! Overall, we were beyond pleased with the resort, the food, and the service during our stay!

My husband and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing! So many things to do while also very relaxing. It was the perfect balance. The spa was great as well. All the staff we ran into was so nice and hardworking. Brayner was our butler and he was fantastic! Anything we needed, he took care of it. We would definitely recommend!

HardRock Punta Cana is amazing for their staff and service. Our butler, Elvido made sure our entire stay was 5 star! He was always making sure we had everything we needed from waking till after dinner. He made celebrating our anniversary the best. He decorated our room while we had a special private dinner and brought extra wine to our room! Thank you, Elvido for making our week so special. I would recommend this resort to everyone wanting to celebrate something special or enjoy a relaxing vacation!!

We got married at the Hard Rock in October we had over 100 guests. It was the most phenomenal wedding. The setup on the beach was a concern but absolutely 10/10 execution. Not a single complaint. The service was impeccable. Elvido and Raphael were amazing. World class! The food felt like an improvement this time. Room service was amazing, as far as the cleaning staff. They are far under appreciated. Viven, helped with our arrival and throughout the stay to make us feel like special guests. He deserves a raise, and I have said that previous years as well. The room service (food) was not the fastest, but the restaurants were all very good. It was a very busy weekend. There were way too many cops at the resort that was not the fault of the resort.

Before wasting the money on this resort read the lowest reviews. Let me start by staying that the food was the worst part of our stay. COLD VERY COLD , chicken was so hard , steak was very disappointing and this was at EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT. With the exception of Bistro were we met the most wonderful staff named Dariel he went above and beyond for our and it was the best meal that we had since our first day here all the staff you be like him. Staff and waiters were very kind and polite its really a hit or miss with the service. The waiters are not the problem the problem are the chefs. When it comes to toddlers and little kids the best option and only option is the water park we tried the kids club and the person was very rude and unprofessional even rude to my child which is unacceptable. Rooms are not clean we found a cockroach in our room the A/C works when it wants too , it went off at 4am my toddler woke up all sweaty. 4 people of our group got FOOD POISONING. This place its not worth the money or time. They need to remodel everything starting with their chefs and some staff. Shoutout to our lobby concierge , the entertainment crew and specially to Dariel at Bistro they were the highlight of our hotel experience.

I had an amazing stay at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort! The rooms were spotless, modern, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day in the sun. The service was outstanding – staff were always friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond. The location is unbeatable, with beautiful beaches right on the doorstep and plenty of amenities close by. The entertainment was a highlight of the trip! There were great shows, live music, and fun daily activities that kept the atmosphere lively. A special mention to O.M.G, the entertainer, who made every event so much more enjoyable with his energy, humor, and charisma – he really made the experience unforgettable. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough – I’ll definitely be coming back!

This resort is very clean and well maintained. The food is okay, but the coffee bar was definitely the highlight,we really loved it! The Brazilian and Japanese restaurants were also quite good. The Kids Club was a big plus, as they have staff who take great care of the kids. The shows at the theatre were very entertaining and fun for the whole family. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort.

We had an amazing time at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana! The animation team is absolutely incredible — especially Bellota! They’re always full of energy and bring the fun wherever we are. Overall, a great place to relax, have fun, and enjoy the Caribbean!

We had a great time….Picachu with the entertainment team was great and always full of energy from sunrise to sunset…. Literally non stop. Ray( Rey) at the restaurant was also outstanding… big smile, big laughs really made us feel welcomed!….. and plenty of others I just cant remember their names… (ULC MEMBERS) Rooms and facilities were great. Nice setup for my daughters birthday….staff always made her feel special…great time at the water park also! Looking forward for the new ULC development in the property. As always there are some small things to improve ….like towel availability at the ULC pool, flies in the ULC buffet area (on the food)and golf cart wait times… Overall great experience, great time and great use of our ULC membership.

We were really disappointed with our stay at this hotel, especially considering it’s advertised as a five star resort. For the amount we paid several thousand pounds the service and overall experience felt far below expectations. It often seemed like only “members” received proper attention or better treatment. Many staff members appeared untrained or unsure of their responsibilities, and a few had quite poor attitudes, which made us feel unwelcome at times. On the day we left, we gave our check out ticket to the porter, but it was later misplaced by the staff. Instead of taking responsibility, they refused to let us board the transfer bus and asked us to go back to the reception to get a new ticket. This was both inconvenient and frustrating, especially since the mistake wasn’t ours. The food was mediocre, much of it overcooked and repetitive, and there was no air conditioning in the reception area, which made both check in and check out uncomfortable in the heat. Overall, it didn’t feel like a true five star experience. I had read some mixed reviews before coming, but since TUI’s rating online was quite high, we decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, our actual stay was very disappointing.

What a fantastic hotel, holiday and the best of all the staff especially Sugar in the kids club / entertainment. She is always happy, helpful and the kids loved how fun she was in the kids club and the evening disco. Any families visiting this resort rested assured that you can get some peace and quiet while enjoying your family holiday. The rooms and resort are clean tidy and perfect for a family holiday with lots going on all the time

Very disappointing experience – unsafe and poorly managed We had a reservation for a Saona Island excursion on Tuesday, and it turned out to be a very disappointing and unpleasant experience. We didn’t see anything worth the trip — we spent about 1 hour and 40 minutes just sitting on one beach, with no real activities or organization. Nothing matched what was promised. There were three of us, and we paid $500 in total for the buggy tour. The representative from the agency told us everything would be amazing and that they were working with our hotel, but that was not true. They do not work with the hotel, and the whole experience felt misleading and unprofessional. What was even more concerning is that some people were openly selling marijuana on the beach, which made us feel very uncomfortable. There was also no proper service or hospitality — the sheets were dirty, pillows were not changed, no fresh towels, and no bottled water was provided. The only positive thing we can mention is that the staff in the main restaurant were friendly and tried their best to make guests feel welcome. Overall, we would strongly advise others to avoid this agency and be very careful when booking excursions or accommodation through them. It’s not safe, not clean, and not worth the money.

I absolutely fell in love with this hotel! The service from everyone here is truly first-class. I especially loved the restaurant La Rumba—the food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. A huge thank-you to our servers Daniela and German for their outstanding attention and friendly attitude. They made our experience extra special, and we enjoyed every moment with them. At the buffet, the young lady who greeted us each day made us feel like family, and the buffet manager was equally warm and attentive. Their kindness really stood out and made every meal a pleasure. The food throughout the resort was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and spotless, and every staff member we met was welcoming and professional. I can’t wait to come back to Meliá Caribe. Me and my family stayed at the resort this September and we had the most incredible time. The resort itself is beautiful, words don't do it justice. Even when it rained, we had the most amazing time. The hotel itself was very beautiful, and the pool area was great. It was really nice being able to walk straight out onto the beach. The food was good as well, with plenty of options to choose from. However, our experience wasn’t as relaxing as we had hoped. I was traveling with my son, who has autism, and unfortunately, we didn’t feel very comfortable during our stay. The staff, particularly in the dining area, didn’t seem accommodating to his needs and at times made the situation more stressful for him. I truly hope the hotel can provide more awareness and training for staff to better support families with children who have special needs. It would make a big difference for guests like us in the future.

Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana is an all-inclusive resort located on the Coconut Coast of the Dominican Republic, surrounded by tropical gardens and beautiful beaches. The resort offers a wide range of activities including Olympic games contests, karaoke, water park, themed nights, and complimentary water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. Guests can enjoy two pools with swim-up bars and access to a late-night disco via shuttle bus.
Had an amazing time at this hotel. Upon arrival we were given a free room upgrade. This room was cleaned by Jolanda everyday who always made sure the room was spotless and we had clean towels. The pools were not very busy and the bar staff were very helpful to everyone. They have shared tipping rather than the tip going to that specific person. There are sun beds available at all times. We stayed in September so the beach did have a lot of seaweed but the staff were out everyday trying to get rid of what they could so guests could enjoy the beach. The only negative would be how the waiters and waitresses treat some guests at meal times in the main buffet - we got ignored on a regular occasion and had to go out our way to get drinks whereas other tables around us would be getting their drinks refilled at the table and brought to them. Buffet food was delicious and had such a great selection with different themed nights. We went to the Asian and Italian restaurants which I would also highly recommend booking. The ground staff were constantly working hard to repair the cracked floorings (assuming from earthquakes), and the gardeners were always out making sure everything was up to standard. Overall we had an amazing experience and would definitely look at coming back in the future.

Enjoyed the experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Our "bathroom" was open. Would have preferred a room with a door for privacy and to limit disturbing others at night. I will start by saying, no place is perfect it is how you handle situations that count. This resort is such a big and beautiful place and you can see all the future upgrade going on around you and not interfering with your vacation. The entertainment all day is great the little village thats on site with gift shops are great, with casinos, sports bars and karaoke on site its great for everyone. I had an incident that I will not talk about on here but what I will say that the staff at the front desk along with management team handled the situation with so much class and professionalism that I am amazed. Like I said anyone can make a mistake, it is how it's handled that counts. I would like to thank the staff and management team.

This was our first time visiting DR. Overall, the resort itself is large and well kept. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a lot to offer. Unfortunately we had some major issues during our stay. Our first room was a connecting room and the lock on our side was broken, the toilet wouldn’t flush even after maintenance came, and the room had a terrible musty/moldy smell. They did accommodate a room change, however the new room had the same bad smell. The buffet was another disappointment, minimal selection and staff were quite unpleasant. One of the included restaurant we went to, Tequila, was also a terrible experience. It took about an hour and 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did most of the order was wrong. The restaurant was not overly busy but our waiters were more focused on taking videos and having shots with the table next to us instead of serving our hungry kids. While the resort has some positives, these issues made it hard to fully enjoy our vacation. I would recommend spending a little extra and choosing a different resort.

Our first visit to Punta Cana turned out to be one of the worst travel experiences we've ever had, all thanks to our stay at Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana. Check-In & Staff Behavior: From the moment we arrived, we were met with rudeness and indifference. The gentleman at the check-in counter, Smiles and basic hospitality were rare it felt like guests were an inconvenience rather than valued visitors. Voucher Deception & Privilege Club Pressure. We were offered a voucher in exchange for attending a Privilege Club presentation, but the pressure to join was relentless and uncomfortable. Wellington and Lisa kept on pushing for us to buy the Privilege Club package they were very friendly and joking with us. However as soon as we said show us some numbers and we will decide at another time they’re behavior changed asap, Wellington didn’t even say bye and gave us such a dirty look and left. Clara Garcia was the one who gave us the voucher and pushed us towards the Privilege Club. Staff seemed more interested in selling Privilege Club memberships than providing genuine service. If you declined, you were practically ignored. Misleading Pricing. A massage advertised at $59 USD for 50 minutes in the lobby TV screens was charged at $84 USD for a 25 min. neck and shoulder session simply because we used a voucher. The receptionist misrepresented costs as we going to use the voucher. The voucher’s value was not honored we were charged more than the advertised rates. This resort prioritizes upselling and profit over guest experience. The lack of transparency, poor customer service, and aggressive sales tactics made our stay miserable. We will never return and strongly advise friends and family to avoid Bahia Principe resorts altogether.
Shamim — Google review
We stayed 14 nights at the Bahia Príncipe Grand Punta Cana. This allowed us to try everything at least twice — restaurants, shows, activities — and thus clearly distinguish what could have been a random issue, which might happen to anyone, from what was actually a systematic fault of the hotel. The most positive point was the care for children: a solid 10. The staff was always very attentive and kind with them, there were plenty of well-organized activities, and we truly valued this aspect of our stay. On the other hand, the service for adult guests was extremely poor. We had problems at the reception that took two days to resolve, with several back-and-forth visits. At the à-la-carte restaurants, service was consistently terrible, without any improvement, even when repeating the experiences. In short: kids, 10/10; adult guest service, 4/10. Overall, the hotel does not go beyond a 6 (0 worst, 10 best). For the time and money invested, we will not return to this resort

The property features three pools, including one with a swim-up bar, and a water park for guests to enjoy. The resort has multiple dining options and offers various activities such as water sports and entertainment like musical variety shows and foam parties.
I had a really good stay here. The rooms were clean, staff members were extremely friendly, and the food was really good. There was alot of variety too. The beach was also wonderful and wasn’t crowded at all when I was there, so it was always easy finding a chair. They also put on events that were really fun like the pool parties on Saturdays. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this “hotel.” The check-in process is a disaster, even the so-called premium check-in takes hours, and our room wasn’t ready until well after 4 p.m. When I finally lost my patience, the front desk agent sarcastically says, “Since you’re desperate,” and hands me the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen. The bedroom light doesn’t work. The shower is filthy, covered in mold, with no hot water, barely any pressure, and no towels all day. After complaining three times, they finally bring some towels. The AC barely cools the room, and the pool area is just as bad, with tiles full of mold, the towel center always out of towels, and when they do have them, they’re clearly reused. The pool bar offers cheap, watered-down drinks, and the pool itself is overrun by locals, not hotel guests. The staff has absolutely no sense of customer service. They treat you how I imagine they treat their locals, with zero respect, no boundaries, and often rude or downright invasive. The restaurants are no better. Menus are extremely limited, and the floors are slick with water and grease, making it unsafe. At breakfast, we try the buffet, and everything is disgusting. A bird is literally pecking at the food and doing what birds do. When I alert the staff, their response is, “Yeah, we know. He’s another staff member.” No shame, no corrective action. This morning, we had a tour scheduled for 7 a.m., but half of the buffet was closed until that exact time, making the already limited options even worse for guests with early tours. This is hands down the most stressful and disappointing vacation I’ve ever had. Between the filthy conditions, awful food, nonexistent service, and constant frustration, I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars. Amazing, for the price rate, it's worth it. Seaweed in the first day in the sea, gave us a scary frustating feeling, but it got better as it became cleared day after. The hotels clean the bech. Lasts days was incredible with cristal clear sea water. Good variaty of daily activities with amazing vibes monitors. Small advice, bargain for everything, most street vendors charge exorbitant prices. We had a great experience with the prices offered at the hotel, even with advice to the contrary. Tax, overpriced. I found a better price on Booking.com (from $40 to $15).

I would avoid staying at this place at all cost. Just checked out. My room didn’t have water from time to time. My wife got an infection because of the water in the room. Room was way too humid even the floor was wet. Food did not look good at the buffet. I had to eat fried chicken because that was the only decent food we found. Theater staff lied to me telling a portion of the theatre was ocuppied. When the event was going i counted more than 25 empty chairs. (I was going for that event only) Staff at the check out point was rude.

Hey this is a real review. Family of 5 went for a week October 2025 Very good resort beautiful and very hard working service given there. From butler to cleaning service. Beautiful pools, beautiful beach (but strong waves) Food is great but repetitive. Be careful from food poisoning. Best part is no other resort almost has plastic cups and plastic plates which is great. Great shows But could start earlier. Like a normal places starts 8pm they start at 9 30pm Wifi is excellent Pools are beautiful but should have limits of swimming after hours like all resorts also should be cleaned during those hours. Bars are excellent all around no long lines. Rooms are standard with balcony but thin walls but it's okay. Paco the monkey is wondering around very cute. Check in takes time. Great entertainment for kids, very family friendly environment but a lot of butts shown (lol carribean style) asked for connectimg rooms but got side to side. Overall great resort for Barcelo. A little smaller lobby then usual. Great Did not for the first time use the spa because it didn't look high end as others do.. Cool gym Cool kids area Nice rock climbing Very nice fire show. Swimming pool is 4ft unlike most resorts which are about 3ft. Which makes a difference if you have kids. Wanted to give 3 stars because of food poisoning but had a great time very friendly place. Beautiful beach walk to the left like 20 minutes you will see amazing big fishes close to shore. Excellent service in this resort. 2 giant pools Price is great.

The property itself is beautiful, and the location is excellent. Since it’s all-inclusive, food and drinks are included in the stay, which makes things easy and convenient. The hotel has two main pools plus a separate kids’ area with a pool, waterslide, splash zone, and even a rock climbing wall. I didn’t use the kids’ area since I was traveling without children, but I liked that it was set toward the back and separate from the main spaces. One of the pools features a swim-up bar, a volleyball net, and a stage for activities, and it’s conveniently located next to the snack buffet. The resort is quite large, with additional amenities like a small casino, a theater for musicals, and even a nightclub. I didn’t get to explore everything, but I still had a great time. There’s also an on-site shop for essentials and souvenirs, plus a candy shop for sweets. The main buffet is generous, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there’s also a snack buffet from 12–6 pm that has plenty of cakes and desserts. One downside was the specialty restaurants. You need to book them in advance through guest services, which has limited hours, and reservations were filled days ahead. Even when we tried to line up at opening, the staff member arrived hours late, making it impossible to book. Staff overall were very friendly—the front desk team was sweet and helpful, and each guest is assigned a butler, which was a great touch. Our butler was wonderful. The bar offers a variety of drinks—soda, alcohol, and coffee are all included—but many bartenders seemed a bit burnt out, which sometimes made the experience less pleasant. The rooms themselves are pretty basic, though it looked like some first-floor suites were being renovated, so updates may be on the way. The biggest disappointment was housekeeping. One day we asked for a few minutes to get our shoes before leaving so they could clean, but the maid never returned. Despite repeated calls for fresh towels and assistance, it took three calls over several hours before we finally received them. That was frustrating, especially since we had tracked in some sand and needed the room cleaned. Overall, despite a few service hiccups, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The resort has a lot to offer, the location is stunning, and the all-inclusive setup makes it easy to relax.

Extremely Disappointing Experience The check-in process took an hour and a half despite there being three receptionists available. The room itself was very small, had a persistent sewer/rotten egg odor, and was in need of renovation. Most of the furniture was damaged, and the closet doors were barely functional. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition: mold was present on the tiles and in the shower, the shower glass was heavily stained, and the toilet seat was cracked. No towels of any kind were provided—no hand towels, bath towels, or bath mats. When we asked the cleaning staff upon arrival, we were repeatedly dismissed and told to ask someone else because it was “not their section.” After going to reception, we were given only three stained towels for a family of four. It took multiple calls to reception and nearly three hours before we finally received clean towels. The beach towels provided by the hotel were equally disappointing, as most were stained and discolored. Service throughout the stay was extremely poor. Staff were unapproachable, often cold and unfriendly, with little effort made to communicate or even acknowledge guests. Food options were limited and of poor quality. On multiple occasions, pork and chicken were served undercooked. I experienced food poisoning on the last day of my stay. This experience is absolutely unacceptable for a so-called “four-star hotel.” I strongly advise against staying at this property.

We recently visited the Occidental Caribe resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. - Service The service at the resort was abysmal. The staff was unfriendly, failing to acknowledge or greet us throughout our stay. Their lack of hospitality was noticeable and unpleasant. - Room Condition Our room was dirty, and the bathroom had a leak. We had to switch rooms due to these issues. Shockingly, we found a roach in one of the rooms. Given the price of the stay, this was unacceptable. AC was not working properly and we noticed the ac filtering system was full of accumulated dust, this is very concerning because this can cause poor air quality and it’s also a fire hazard - Other Issues There were long lines at the buffet for meals. We had to ask multiple times (more than three) for a crib for our baby despite requesting it weeks in advance via email, without receiving a confirmation. - Overall Experience Considering the price of the stay, the overall experience was very poor. The staff clearly needs proper training to improve guest interactions and service quality. We will not be returning to this resort due to these issues. We are being generous given this hotel a one star… 1/5 stars

Nestled along the pristine shores of Bavaro Beach, Meliá Punta Cana Beach Wellness Inclusive - Adults Only is a luxurious all-inclusive haven designed exclusively for adults seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. This upscale resort boasts spacious and contemporary accommodations that offer breathtaking views of the beach, lagoon, or lush gardens. Guests can indulge in a variety of culinary delights at six on-site restaurants or unwind with refreshing drinks from multiple bars.
We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Melia Punta Cana. Gorgeous resort, exceptionally clean, and the best part was the staff. Alfonso at the sports bar was amazing, and Moises and all the other pool bar staff were the best! So friendly and funny, will make any drink you want, and you can tell they love their jobs. Even though there are some people walking around to sell excursions and coconuts, they aren’t pushy at all like we have experienced at other resorts. The food was really good, even my fiance who hates buffets was impressed. The water at the beach was a bit brown but we weren’t even bothered about the beach as we prefer the pool anyway. Casino was great, spa was great (though expensive), room was great, we couldn’t fault a single thing during our stay. What a wonderful week!
Laura H — Google review
The hotel grounds are beautiful with a nice layout and easy access to the pool, beach, and nearby restaurants. Quimera was the dining highlight — the churrasco steak on our first night was excellent. Sal de Mar also had good food and great service. Serendipity (buffet-style) was average. Big thanks to our concierge, Gilberto, who was incredibly attentive and made my husband’s 50th birthday special with two thoughtful surprises. That said, a few things didn’t work for us. Music isn’t allowed at the swim-up bar (as part of the wellness concept), which made the atmosphere feel too quiet and a bit awkward. Oddly, smoking is allowed in many areas — which feels out of place at a wellness hotel. The pools also need some updating. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet escape, this might be for you. But if you want to feel like you're in a different country or enjoy a livelier vibe, it may not be the best fit.

Fantastic place to come and unwind and have a great time. Lots of activities to do throughout the day. The food is amazing. Staff is friendly no matter if you tip or not, always willing to help and always smiling and joking around with you. Even though we didn't speak a lot of Spanish, they loved that we tried and had fun teaching us some of their Dominican slang 😂. I highly recommend coming to this resort! Make sure you see Alvin for any excursion you want to do when you go to get your towels. Also see Mr. Andre if you want to book at the spa! They were so kind to us even though we didn't get to do anything with them during our stay. They had fantastic deals that I wish I had taken advantage of 🙌!

I don’t even have to wait to leave this review. Been here not even 20 hours and I love this place! So relaxing and the service is top notch. 👌🏽 Many different foods for different tastes but the focus on quality is excellent. The Level package is what I got and worth it for me. Fish dishes are excellent at the Quimera ❤️ 😍 Fresh from the sea 🌊 not farm raised. Grilled octopus and the Grouper were tender and cooked just right. I had their breakfast also and wow! 🤩 The açaí bowl and tofu/vegetable combo I requested was so delicious. Beautiful beach also. Huge pool and a chill crowd here. The workers are very nice and attentive to your needs. Definitely the best place I can ever remember staying in.

Had to write a review because I can’t get my trip out of my head, I had the best time! Even though I was on the basic level this resort is nothing short of luxury. From the grounds, rooms and aesthetic, this resort made everything feel lush. Definitely for the grown and sexy crowd, quiet but not boring at all just not a party resort. Everything was great but the staff were amazing! Extra special shout out to Laury at check in, Jean Carlos and Thomas driving the shuttles, Cesar and Maribel at the pool bar, as well as Rebecca and Maria hostesses at the buffets. From the minute I arrived they all were super kind and attentive since I was alone. ONLY draw back is that I went in July during seaweed season, but even then I was still able to enjoy the beach early morning after they cleaned. I can only imagine how much more you can enjoy with their Level experience, so I will definitely return in the future.

The pool bar is certainly the gem in this wonderful natural hotel. The wildlife is stunning and the hotel is teaming with it. However the pool is a true gem, the gents that looked after us were amazing and made my partners birthday truly special. The guy; Moises, Willian, Radalis and Anyelo. This guys could never do enough for us, the cared constantly and smiled all the time, they are infectious personalities! We can’t thank them enough

Currently here and having a fantastic time!. The staff have been kind and helpful and there's so many activities from crafts, tastings, sports activities, yoga by the beach etc. The buffet and restaurants have all been great so far and we are looking forward to the rest of our stay. We recommend checking out the coconut hat making class, the coconut oil workshop and the Dominican hat painting class! All included! The nicest resort we have been to in Punta Cana and cant wait to plan another trip here when possible :)

Nestled along the stunning Bavaro Beach, this tropical paradise offers an array of amenities including multiple restaurants, bars, a large pool complex with swim-up bars, and live entertainment at the plaza bar. The resort's lush greenery and lazy-river pool create a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
We visited as a family with our two young sons (ages 5 and 4), and we truly had the best experience of our lives. The resort is very family-oriented, with daily kids’ activities that kept our boys entertained and happy from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. Cristina and her team were incredible with the children—she made sure every day was full of fun activities. Our boys absolutely love love love Cristina; she quickly became the highlight of their trip! Jesus at the bar was also amazing. He would always prepare milkshakes for the kids, and they loved watching him make them each time. It became a fun little ritual they looked forward to daily. Pedro at the restaurant stood out as well. He was attentive, patient, and made sure we felt completely comfortable. He even made such an impression that one of our sons drew him a picture—something we’ll never forget. This was a wonderful family experience, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Went with my girlfriend for our anniversary. Stayed with the VIP package and it was incredible. Poolside room and bar, service was top, with our own butler as well. Food everywhere was great as well. The beach and variety of bars with friendly staff made the experience that much better. Highly recommend and incredible value.

Such a beautiful place and experience!!!! The food was some of the best that we have ever ate at an all inclusive resort. Some of their beautiful desserts will blow your mind! There's something there for everyone!! The pool was beautiful and relaxing. This is a dominate Spanish speaking resort but some of the workers spoke a little English. The rooms were super clean and comfy. Beware on the beach as you will get pressured by walking peddlers.

Our stay at Majestic Colonial was truly one of the most memorable vacations we’ve had at an all-inclusive resort. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to our amazing butler, who went above and beyond to make every moment feel extra special. We also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Fausto, our favourite bartender, and Epilido, our wonderful server at the French cuisine restaurant. Their energy, kindness, and great sense of humor really made a lasting impression on us, they helped make the trip even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, always fresh, with tons of variety, and something new to try each day. The beach was beautiful, and while there was some seaweed, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our time there. If we had one suggestion, it would be to renovate the washrooms and bedrooms, as they’re outdated. That said, the entertainment was great, and the overall atmosphere of the resort made it easy to relax and have fun. We’d absolutely return and are so grateful to the Majestic Colonial team for making our anniversary so special.

We had the most majestic time in the colonial resort. We began our trip meeting our very kind butler named Alex. She was very helpful, always kind, and supportive. We had a blast at the pool every day with Leandro Benjamin! His specialty drinks were my favourite. He always had a smile and he was just a generally funny and uplifting person. While doing aerobics we met our brother Jose. Anytime we saw Jose a new memory was made. Oh my Jesus, and don’t forget about the evening shows, the late night dancing and all the other activities we met Black Diamond who danced the night away with us. Bimba was a fun guy and everyone on the animation team was super energetic and welcoming. We will never forget the memories made here. Thank you to everyone who made my cousins bachelorette so special! Ps. The best part is water aerobics, late night dancing, shots at the swim up bar, and Wobble, Cupid Shuffle and more Me likely Jose sexy moveeee majestic colonial punta Cana

Our butler Jesus did an awesome job his English was flawless, when ever we needed something or a reservation he was very prompt and responded quickly, we had a large family so we got 3 rooms and rooms were beautiful and had everything that a person needs. Maria our cleaning lady cleaned our room daily and we left her a small tip daily as well. the swimming pools were clean and not crowed and the pool bar was very nice as well. The food in buffet was excellent the only thing need to be improved is the Gym, its small with no window and not a very good air circulation. but we certainly will go back to this resort again.

Our family of four had a great time at Paradisus Palma Real. All the staff members were very attentive and friendly, especially at the Kidsdom. There were always activities and water fun times for the kids. The room we stayed was a swim up Master suite, which was newly renovated and very spacious for our family. There were also six restaurants and two buffets at the property, all the food was nicely prepared and very delicious. We liked that a lot of them were local dishes and authentic. Overall it was a great stay for us, I would definitely recommend this resort.

We had a great time on our girl's trip. Our goal was to rest and relax while not doing a whole lot. Mission accomplished. The food was excellent and there were always things to do on the resort. Fernando Chispa and Ay Ay Ay were always so fun and ready to get us involved in activities. They taught us to dance and made sure we had everything we needed. Our catamaran trip to a private beach for yoga was great too! Our concierge, Adriel, made our dinner reservations and texted us activities every morning. He even made sure we made it to dinner on time and stayed hydrated. Great service. We look forward to coming back soon!

Wonderful stay with a few areas for improvement We had a fantastic vacation at Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana! The resort is absolutely stunning — from the fairy tale-inspired architecture to the beautifully maintained grounds and pools. It’s a perfect destination for families, with plenty of activities for both kids and adults. The overall atmosphere was vibrant and relaxing. The staff were friendly and hardworking, always greeting us with a smile and doing their best to make us feel welcome. That said, improving the English skills of some team members — especially in guest services and the entertainment program — would make communication smoother and enhance the guest experience even more. As vegetarians, we would have loved to see a bit more variety in the food options. While we did find things to enjoy, expanding the selection would definitely be appreciated by guests with dietary preferences or restrictions. A couple of downsides: the beach wasn’t as enjoyable as we hoped — there was a lot of seaweed, and it didn’t appear to be cleaned regularly. Also, the rooms and furniture are starting to feel a bit dated and could use some renovation or refresh to match the high standards of the rest of the resort. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would still recommend this resort to families looking for fun and relaxation in a beautiful setting. With some improvements, it could easily become a five-star experience.

Firstly, It was a pleasure being at Bahia Principe Fantastia. It was our first time in Dominica Republic and it will not be our last time 😊👍 Im going to do my best to break everything down. Driving up to the lobby it was beautiful great customer service they let you feel welcome it was quick, smooth and seamless. Room. Bell men has great customer service Big up youself Junior you did an amazing job helping us with our luggages and all. Our first room👎smell of paint and I wasn't going to let my kids inhale that so I had to pay for a room because I choose a different floor. Now that room, smell and view was great👍thanks Eric for helping. hot water excellent, beds well made, refrigerator stacked every day. My problem with the room service was that they gave us less washcloth and towels since it a family of 4 so I have to keep asking for more. Pool was amazing we like the fact it is very very spacious😊 and have lots of activities. Kids slide was great. One of my kid had an head injury where it was bleeding not a lot AND THE LIFEGUARD ATTENDED to her immediately. I love the fact that they were alert and understood the procedure of what to do👌❤ Beach, the view was great our problem was that It smell horrible, there were lots of seaweeds on sand and in the water so we didn't stay there for long Kids Club Department was great with my kids even though I was a bit scared lol but they loved it . Dining Room was great but I had an issue where they gave us a table then we went to collect dinner on our way back our table was taken from us where we had to be walking around with our food in our hands for another table. But the food was great Entertainment Department was excellent overall. I believe this department have lots on their hands than any other 🤣 I love the fact that they have activities to keep the children engaged, different shows each night for the kids which my little one loves. It was a pleasure to see her dancing on the stage. Music was clean which I don't know Spanish but I enjoyed it. Big up yourself Mr Alfredo and your crew for making it such an rememberable moment for us. You guys did great. Continue to do what you love. Love on those kids👌 Farewell: We didn't want to leave especially the kids. Our stayed there was amazing, memorable and we would love to come back Gods willing. Thanks for having us there. My rating is 9/10

We were very happy with his job. Also, the ladies who clean the room were very polite and, hard working girls.Good work for Joanna, she works in the rooms next to water park 99.... Rated the room a 4 because we killed 3 roaches in the room. Also the air wasn’t to my liking and when I called they said somebody went and lowered it but it felt the same.. We encountered a couple workers who were great and very welcoming. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the buffet/restaurants. It took a little long getting our drinks and when we did it took long for refills vs us being able to walk in (all inclusive) and getting our drinks ourselves. Also you have to be on point with reserving other restaurants, I was a hour late because my phone died and everything was booked. They did accommodate us so I was very thankful! You’ll also have to pay extra for the cool stuff, ninja turtles, character breakfast and personal slime. The gift shop with the characters were a little expensive especially for people who have multiple kids. But overall it was a good experience, my son enjoyed himself and I would go back. Thank you Nickelodeon resort

We came here from Miami to celebrate with our family of 14. The rooms were nice but the tv and elevators were not working- the latter was very disappointing as parents with strollers were forced to carry them up and down the stairs. Besides that as a mom with a child with multiple food allergies I was very pleased with the staff at the buffet who went above and beyond creating dishes that he could eat. Thank you to Joel, Lamuel and Amaury for making it a safe and enjoyable meal.

My stay at Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort Punta Cana was excellent from start to finish. The Flat Suite was spacious, spotless, and easily one of the nicest rooms I’ve stayed in. Dining was a highlight — Wok Wok served one of the best tuna and mango poke bowls I’ve ever had, and Verdello, the Italian restaurant, offered a great family atmosphere and delicious salmon. Breakfast at Nick Bistro was so much fun, especially with the Nickelodeon characters greeting families — perfect for kids’ birthdays or special moments. The beach was clean and sargassum-free, and the infinity pool was beautiful and relaxing. The Nick water park was another standout — very clean, well-maintained, and full of energy. Every staff member we met was friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s an ideal resort for families looking for great food, comfort, and entertainment for the little ones. Highly recommended!

⭐️ 2 out of 5 — Declining Quality Since 2023 Stay This resort has definitely gone downhill since my last visit in 2023. I’ll start with the negatives — the biggest issue was finding a roach in the bathroom! When I reported it, the supervisor, Julio, completely dismissed my concern, saying “this used to be a jungle” and implying it wasn’t a big deal since the room wasn’t dirty. Totally unacceptable for a so-called 5-star property. Next, I had booked a package that included resort credits, which I planned to use for a room upgrade. When I arrived, I was told there were no credits on my account. I showed Francisco my confirmation from Karisma that clearly listed them, but he refused to honor it and said I’d have to wait until the next day to speak with a manager. The following day, the manager did confirm that I did have resort credits — exactly as I’d said. However, by that point, we had to move rooms midday and cancel the plans we had made, all because it wasn’t handled properly during check-in. This could have and should have been resolved right away. While the resort is family-friendly and a few staff members were genuinely great, the overall service, cleanliness, and attention to detail no longer reflect a true 5-star experience. For the price you pay here, you should expect far better quality and professionalism.

Jose Alesi was excellent at the main bar. Very mannerable and helpful. Took pics for the family, pool side service delivery for drinks and even cleaned up after us. If I go back I definitely will be looking for him.

Zuleika, maireny,Alfredo, jose aaaaaamazing! Couldn’t be happier with three kiddos. I wanted to write a more expansive review for this resort. First, the customer service was literally impeccable. Starting will the bell boys, the front desk staff, the concierge, the butler, the housekeeping, maintenance, and servers. My goodness. It’s something you don’t see in the US. They literally would help with the wagon, our belongings, held our kiddos so we could navigate life lol. They answered maintenance calls within literally like ten minutes.even the excursion- we have a 6 year old, 4 year old, and infant. And they took ALL THREE kids out along with my husband and I. Literally an instructor to each kid. The drinks- readily available. All over lol. At one point one of the servers were talking to what appeared to be a frequent flyer (we did not care at all. ) and the manager told him to stop and serve us. We got served like immediately after. I legit felt like gold at this resort. They loved our kids. Catered to them. It was amazing. The waterpark was safe, fun as can be, drinks readily available, servers taking care of us the entire time. A lifeguard to each slide. I never was nervous for my kids safety. I can’t say enough positive things. Servers were on point with the drinks. Not only for us but the kiddo drinks as well. The food- average lol. I didn’t like that the restaurants make you have a reservation. It’s not really possible to make reservations with three kids. It’s very difficult to get three kids out at a set time. And you’re at a resort I don’t want to be on a time clock. But it is what it is. I can see why they do it. The buffet was okay. Again, difficult with theee because by the time you go up and get the kids food then get your own food they’re done. And the food just wasn’t what we’d use to lolololol that’s a part of traveling though and that’s life with three so I didn’t mind. the resort was that amazing. Childcare available on the resort. And again, they LOVED our kids. I was never concerned. Highly highly Recommend. Three kidddos is a lot but they made it the best.
Marissa J — Google review
Thank you Josue! Good place for kids to enjoy. Big dad kids are not allowed on slides. Most workers are not as comfortable speaking English so may need some patience in explaining or finding someone else for help. Names of the locations are too similar so confusion in locating them on the property. Map and events need to better aligned.

Bubalu was fantastic as the Zumba master!! He was the nicest land most fun dancer out of everybody. Bubalu is a great representation of the entertainment at Iberostar. Stephanie was the most wonderful poolside server. Stephanie has a big smile and made my trip wonderful with her excellent service. Wonderful staff!!! Last but not least much praise to the Hostess Altagracia in the Hibachi Restaurant. Altagracia was fabulous in helping us celebrate my granddaughter Emma’s 6th birthday and made my granddaughter feel like a superstar. All in all everyone was fantastic for going above and beyond making us all feel special and I and my family would most definitely return again!!!!!!

This is a beautiful resort with many friendly people/staff! We were treated top notch. Food was very good. Golf course is absolutely fantastic! Manny has set the bar very high for concierge service. We really never relied much on a concierge before. But now I’ve come to realize what asset they are. Manny is the man!

Pros: Awesome hotel, good service and food! Entertainment team is great, really keeps everybody dancing, smiling and having a good time. Ocean is amazing when the seaweed is gone, the hotel does a good job cleaning it though. We had a storm half way through our trip and it cleared all the seaweed in the ocean and it was amazing! Clean, blue ocean with big waves. Cons: Rooms are a bit dated and need work for sure, and the cleanliness is could definitely be better..

The stay was really good. If you want to take a good size family including kids this is an affordable resort. Lots to do with some great employees. We had a blast with one of the entertainment employees all week named Bugaloo. He made our time whether at the pool or theatre enjoyable & active. Look forward to staying again for a 3rd time.

Beautiful resort, great food, and servers were all great. The room was exactly as advertised. There were a lot of different restaurants to try and also buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A really nice and beautiful place. Was thinking how I wanted to return until the second to last day of my trip when I noticed multiple items missing from my room. Almost $200 worth of clothing was taken and the report I filed with the front desk led to nothing. I will be looking for another resort to stay in the next time I am in the Dominican Republic.

Everyone including El Nino were so friendly, respectful and just amazing. My family and I enjoyed one week of my husband’s birthday vacation - delicious fruit, very tasty food, amazing desserts and fantastic beach 🏝️. Everything very close, didn’t have to walk a lot unless you want to go on a nice walk in the morning or evening. Very nice views - green, flowers everywhere.

what I loved: beach on the property buffets were open for breakfast lunch and dinner and they weren’t crowded Pools were in abundance and there was never an issue finding a chair my garden view room suite was spacious Staff members were warm and welcoming The offered many group exercise classes at their gym and the instructors were incredible The spa was right by the gym and has multiple pools of varying temperatures as well as saunas, there is no extra charge to visit the spa water journey If and when I was able to capture the gaze of the swim up bartender the drinks were good Dance club on the resort was fun and safe The beach was beautiful and not rough wave wise What I did NOT love: air conditioning is more of an emphatic suggestion than a reality you can feel. There are about 4 or 5 speciality restaurants on site and eating there is included with your package, but you need a reservation. I was there for a week when the resort was at 40% capacity and any time I tried to get a reservation the staff told me there were no openings for dinner (the only time the specialty restaurants were open). My room smelled like rotten eggs from the day I got there until the day I left and when I asked I was told that it was the grounds. When I first arrived my bed was decorated in flower petals as though the cleaning staff had prepared it just for me, but then the sheets had visible food stains. The staff never seemed to have any sense of urgency in making things right for my room. The resort will package your airport transfer with their affiliate services but there is a poor communication system set up so you will have to call around and track down staff to find out when and where to expect service to head back to the airport on departure day. The staff there will try and sell you on “private excursions” that are essentially them and a buddy driving you to the beach. Once the sun set it was not extremely well lit so being out at night was really only done if ultimately necessary The gym has no air conditioning at all in the weight room and cardio machine floor and it feels like you are in a green house. Their buffet seems to cater to American cuisine more than anything. If you want Dominican food you’ll need to visit an excursion where they feed you.

The hotel was nothing short of amazing! No complaints and our every need was met. The staff was friendly with every encounter and I would definitely recommend. The rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard and we enjoyed the buffet, finding something to eat everyday from the variety of options.

For my first and last resort experience, I would say that it was really good! We had a great time and the resort was such a nice place for sunrise and sunset! We loved our stay and may come back if I ever change my mind about going back to a resort. The food was really good and loved the fact that there is a wide variety! Also loved the fact that they stock you up on bottled waters and they provided us with a crib upon request! ❤️

Wonderful stay at the Grand Palladium again. Our resort section was under construction and our rooms appeared to be ready for their update as well but still clean! Can’t beat the swim up rooms either. Our butler “team” was fantastic. Thank you to William, Maritza and Manuel for meeting all our requests and being available so often! Best butler service yet! The people can make all the difference on bringing service to the top.

Beautiful resort! Lovely large rooms -BIGGEST POOL IMAGINABLE! EVERYONE is welcoming and very helpful. Truly the GEM OF THE CARIBBEAN!! Don’t miss the Bob Marley show-Close your eyes and you’ll FEEL MARLEY! Haven’t left yet and can’t wait to return already! Patricia in the Blur Lagoon was so friendly each morning-got us off on a beautiful start to our day! Long ride from the airport (45 mins) was worth the trip. Beach is very small but calm and warm. Swim-up room is worth the upgrade!! Currently building a HUGE water slide area for kids-Looks like FUN!! Only con: Except the Jerk Spot-Food lacked Caribbean flavors we are used to.

We loved the experience of this resort so much that we returned the next year. Much of that was due to our wonderful butler, Manuel Rivera. He took care of our every desire and need. He was always friendly and helpful and always with a smile. I would have loved to have stuffed him in my suitcase and brought him home with us. The resort is great with something for all ages. There are several pools, plenty of poolside & beach chairs with shade or sun if preferred. There are many restaurants to choose from with a hugh variety of delicious food.

I have been coming to Grand Palladium PC for several years. I keep coming back not only for the gorgeous beaches but the beautiful people. Maritza is an incredible Steward. She goes above and beyond at all times. She meets the needs of EVERY GUEST , not just who is assigned to her. The love of her career shows from smiles, flowers, genuine concern. The entire staff is fabulous! I can’t wait to come back

I would not recommend this hotel based on my recent experience. The room I was given looked nothing like the photos shown when I booked — not only did it lack key amenities, but I was moved to a different room due to building works, without any prior notice or apology. The minibar was consistently left unstocked, despite multiple requests made to guest services over several days — all of which were ignored. Even basic requests like shampoo and conditioner were never fulfilled, no matter how many times I called. Worse still, my phone and some valuables were stolen from my room. When I reported this to staff, the blame was immediately shifted onto me for not using the room safe — which, frankly, is unacceptable. Personal items should be safe in a locked hotel room, especially in a resort of this supposed standard. I filed a police report, yet the hotel has since falsely claimed that I did not. I was offered no meaningful assistance, no updates, and no explanation. On top of all of this, I experienced racial discrimination from staff during my stay — a deeply upsetting and unacceptable reality, which I also reported to guest services. Unfortunately, this too has been brushed aside. After escalating the matter through the appropriate channels, including my travel provider, the hotel’s response has been evasive, inconsistent, and dismissive. Falling far short of addressing the severity of what happened. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. A luxury resort should make you feel safe, respected, and taken care of — this place did the complete opposite. Since I can’t reply back and refuse to erase my first statement please find a screenshot of my response to your terrible reply Y. Jiménez

I purchased a day pass (~90 USD) for a Saturday in April. The day pass included access to most of the resort amenities (unlimited food and drinks, the beach, pools, fitness center, showers) and you could pay extra to access the spa. I was able to use the day pass from 10am - 6pm. I only paid for a regular access pass and found that the beach and buffet seating areas got very busy during peak times. They did have empty seating areas but these were for guest who paid for the premium membership. The buffet was average. It wasn’t very dietary restriction friendly. I am not sure if I was just unlucky, but I did find a hair in my food and then the next piece of fruit I picked up also had a bug on it. I found the spa to be quite small (it was basically one room with 6 small jacuzzi tubs, sauna, and a hammam). Most staff around the resort didn’t speak much English. However the staff at the reception spoke English fairly well! Great time to practice Spanish though. I felt safe on my own and found getting around the resort to be quite easy. I found the quality of the resort to be good overall when compared to the cost of day passes for other nearby resorts.

I had a wonderful time during my stay at Iberostar Dominicana in Punta Cana. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. I want to give a special shoutout to Francisco at the front desk for being so welcoming and making the check-in process smooth. My concierge, Bella, was absolutely amazing—she has such a bubbly and wonderful personality that truly made me feel at home. And Ray, one of the waiters, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. Their hospitality and attention to detail made my experience unforgettable. I would definitely recommend Iberostar Dominicana and look forward to returning!

Do NOT Fall for the Iberostar Club Membership It’s Exploitative and Deceptive First and foremost: don’t agree to a “club membership” meeting. It’s as close to a scam as you can legally get. We were pressured into signing up during a stay and $11,000 later, we’re still paying for nothing of value. On a recent trip with my 6-year-old son, I accidentally booked the wrong Iberostar location (Puerto Plata instead of Punta Cana). That was my mistake... I own it. But I figured, as a paid "Club Member," there would be at least some flexibility or support in transferring my reservation. Instead, I was met with stonewalling, hours on hold, unreturned calls, and complete indifference...even from the supposed “Prestige Club Lounge” staff. Exhausted and desperate, I had to pay out of pocket for a $400/night room at the correct location not even at the “member rate.” No club perks. No wristband. Nothing. After two days of trying to get help and breaking down in tears over the phone, I was finally offered a partial refund but still penalized two nights ($800) for a simple reservation correction. This company doesn't care about customer service, loyalty, or basic decency. Their business model is built around squeezing money from people and delivering as little as possible in return. They hide behind fine print and disorganized bureaucracy. Avoid the membership at all costs. Learn from our $11,000 mistake.

Terrible experience and mostly because of the service. The hotel is fine, the amenities are really good. But, the service, jesus christ. Nobody looks like they are willing to work there, most of the people don’t treat you right, they don’t even react to a thank you, some don’t even react to a hi, it’s absolutely weird when you are trying to have a good time. When we went to the casino there was a guy at the roulette who I am most likely sure he would have preferred that we weren’t there playing, he treated us like garbage. The only ones who were nice were the people at the asian restaurant and some at the front desk, the rest made us feel uncomfortable, which is quite odd when you are trying to relax and have fun at a vacation spot. And this isn’t over, on 15/09 we requested a laundry service at 15:37, a service that it takes 24hs, we specifically asked for it to be delivered on the 16th since we were leaving on the 17th. Nothing arrived on the 16th, we went to the front desk on the 17th to request answers and we had our driver waiting at 11AM without getting our laundry. It took till 11:30 and our driver lost another trip. Imagine if we had a flight to catch up fast. It took almost 48 hours for the laundry service, that’s unprecedented. The food and drinks are ok, but other Iberostars at the same price also have better food. We have been to many Iberostars before in different countries, this was our first time in the Iberostar in dominicana, we won’t be back.

I do not recommend this place to anybody. Especially if you are a Canadian tourist. They seem to tend to more to the Spanish culture. Some of the stuff is very treat English people different. Food and service at this hotel is very poor quality, it is not worth spending the money at this Resort.

We are staying at the Ocean Blue and Sand and have been here for a few days. We've had nothing short of an amazing experience overall. The food has been great, drinks are amazing with lots of options and skilled bartenders. The staff have been absolutely amazing, so friendly, always singing and smiling, they are genuinely happy to serve you. Daniel De La Rosa has been SO generous around the pool area, he never stops and notices everything. Daniel is fast with any request you have and does it with a smile, it's almost like he can anticipate your needs before having to ask. Andos Timothe has always been great to interact with as well, he's helped us navigate our stay for the week so we wouldn't miss our on anything.

Absolutely beautiful resort staff were so friendly coffe bar was amazing and tasty. The carts made transportation around the resort was nice. Very close and easy access to the beach. Unfortunately one pool was under construction during our 2 week stay which was one of the main pools which was disappointing. The a la carts were nice as they didnt need to have reservations and could accommodate. Food was decent but found the buffet to be better then the special restaurants.

I just got back from staying at Ocean Blue Sands in Punta Cana. The staff was awesome. They make you feel welcome and have a great time. I loved that everything was all inclusive. The vibe was good. The food was good. Different options. The pools are beautiful and the beach was clean and beautiful also. I only have two complaints, but they weren’t big deals. The first one…they really need to update their casino. I was disappointed when I walked in and there were only six machines and they seemed very outdated. Again, not a huge deal. Second thing was, I was excited to eat at El Bodegón, but it took over an hour to actually get our food and when I got my steak, the flavor was good but it was really tough to eat. The majority of our table wasn’t satisfied. Again though, the staff was great and the ambiance was good. I would still go back because I had a good time.

***UPDATED REVIEW** the original review was posted as the entertainment team pushed us to write reviews and they took pictures to prove a review was posted, not a fan of that at all. Now we were there for 9 days end of September until early October, it was fun. Although it could have been the seasonality we went where the experience could differ. I found that if you didn't speak Spanish the service differed quite a bit compared to if you had someone in your party that spoke Spanish. Example: lunch without our Spanish speaking friend it took almost 10-15 min just to get water at the buffet. When we were with her and the staff realized it took almost 2-5 minutes to get water. Speaking of water it was also a rarity to get, we left notes asking for 6 bottles of water and we only got 3, which if that was the standard then I understand but when we managed to catch the drink team they gave us the desired number of bottles. Food was also mediocre at best, nothing really wowed me. Out of our party of 5, 4 of my group ate something that disagreed with them and they were ill for a couple of days each. The Steak House was rather good and the pasta house was good too. For something claiming to be a family friendly resort I found it odd when we asked for non-alcoholic/virgin drinks that the bartenders would give us sass about it, one thing to be joking with us. But when we return multiple times to the same bartender asking the same thing within a 1-2 hr time span it does get boring after a while. The spa vendors were also ruthless, they kept pushing to try and make sales. But if we say no everyday they should make the effort to remember us. The resort itself wasn't busy at all. I was told by one of the tour vendors that it was 30%-40% occupancy. If the resort intends to keep a resident Flamingo and think of it as it's mascot, they need to take a better care of it and increase security. On multiple occasions we witnessed families and other parties try to touch and hit the flamingo, Pinky, at one point the bird snapped at a lady and she grabbed his neck! We reported it the staff they claim there nare cameras in the area so we don't know if anything was done to the people that did that. But following the incident of the report we saw no effort on the resort's part to increase safety measures for the poor thing. I hope Pinky bites someone's nose off! This was my first time going to Punta Cana, based on this trip alone I'm not itching to go back. But maybe I'll try a different resort. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great fun! Lots of activities, always involving everyone! Barbie made the stretching fun and relaxing! Blue made the water aerobics challenging but exciting!

Nothing but trouble from the moment we got into our room. Air conditioning didn't work, TV broken, sliding door wouldn't close and app for dinner reservations wasn't working. Took 3 days and 2 complaints to the front desk to get someone to fix A/C. Spoke to guest services and she got the manager involved. He offered us a new room and "Privilege upgrade" for our troubles. After being locked out of our room that we needed to get into to pack up and move to the new room (maintenance had to come dismantle door lock and reprogram so we could get in), new room had more problems than the first. most of the upgrades that come with "Privilege" we didn't get and the room we were moved into had less amenities than our first. It was a downgrade rather than an upgrade. They were supposed to plan something for my husbands birthday as part of this "privilege" and all they managed to execute was a banner on our door. The special restaurant for his birthday didn't acknowledge us or his birthday and we left without anything special happening. I have been to several resorts in the Dominican and I would rate this a 2 out of 5 and that is being generous. Do yourself a favour don't waste your money on this resort. The lawns looked nice since they worked on them from morning to night every day and outside of the buildings were getting a fresh coat of paint everyday but they should take some of that budget and work on keeping rooms functioning. This was not the place for rest, relaxation or most of all DESTRESSING - its the total opposite. Many others we talked to there had issues with their rooms and with the app. So if going by looks is your thing and not function Ocean Blue and Sand has got that.

This was an awesome adventure. From the check-in going thru security, assistance in bringing the carry-on luggage thru the electric stairs, the greetings, the smiles, everything was perfect. The food at the buffet for dinner and breakfast was 😋 delicious. The cabin was spacious and clean. The show was spectacular, kudos to the dancers.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and great location. The property is well kept and clean. The staff were very friendly and there was a variety of activities. We did, however feel like most of the interactive pool and beach games had a provocative feel to them which we feel should be for adults only. We also didn't appreciate that our volleyball games were abruptly brought to a halt because every member of the activity staff were told to be involved in the crazy game and often would put pressure on us to join the game even though we were having fun playing volleyball. Also, the evening shows often had a provocative vibe at the intro portion of the show. This time of year we discovered that there is a seaweed plant that washes in and completely take over the ocean front making it very dirty and not pleasant to look at or swim in. The excursion that we booked through the hotel ended up being not at all what we were promised and they did not do anything for us when we reported how disappointed we were. The amenities were great. We really enjoyed the gym with multiple machines to use and heavier dumbbells. We really enjoyed the sports complex to play tennis, and basketball. We really enjoyed the variety of food at the buffet and the different restaurants were a great experience. Overall, we would return.

We stayed for 17 days and had an amazing time! 🎉 The service was great and the animation team made every day so much fun — there was really something for everyone! 🙌 Eunice from the animation team was full of energy and always made us laugh 😂 Ana at the reception was fantastic — super helpful and always quick with solutions when we needed something. The whole place is clean, well taken care of, and you can see they really care about the guests. We had so much fun and would 100% recommend it.

The hotel was very nice, staff are very friendly and helpful and the buffet was very delicious and a lot of variety every day. Negatives - - some restaurants you can’t book because it’s full or closed - our room the first day was liking water from the sealing and we arrived at night after a 8 hours flight and had to wait 2 hours for the maintenance guy to fix it before we could sleep - the room is horrible, the toilet had a problem also with the flusher so you eat all night the flushing working because it was broken - also the room as zero soundproof if you want to rest a bit before night time you only ear the staff walkie talkies and people talking - another negative is the invading sellers that are on the hotel and the photographers - staffs are always waiting for a tip, if you don’t give it they start to be a little aggressive If wasn’t for the bad room with hound be a 5 star experience

Everything is good about the resort, especially the animation, which is the best around. I used to go to Bavaro Princess and their animation. Crew sucks anymore. Flabio, Julio, Francisco Alejandro, Eunice are excellent! Also, Walley from the pool bar and Luis from the sports bar are fantastic! The waiters at the sports bar Eduard and Joe are very funny and we enjoy them We will be back in march

Overall, we had a really good experience at the hotel! The themed restaurants were amazing — especially the Brazilian and Japanese ones, both offering delicious food and great service. In general, the food was excellent throughout our stay, though the snack bar could use some improvement, as a few items weren’t as fresh as expected. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated how well-organized everything was. The small train used to move around the hotel was a nice touch and made getting around easy and fun, especially with kids. The only disappointment was that I mentioned upon arrival that it was my wife’s birthday, and they said they would decorate the door — but unfortunately, it didn’t happen until I called again to follow up. It was a small letdown, but overall, the stay was still very enjoyable. There are plenty of fun activities for all ages, and we definitely plan to come back in the future.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The amenities were excellent, and everything I needed was readily available. I especially appreciated the great location, which made it convenient to explore the area. Overall, it was a perfect mix of comfort and hospitality—I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Muñeca y luz we also amazing, thank you for everything ❤️❤️❤️

Grand Bávaro Princess is an all-inclusive beachfront resort in Punta Cana, offering modern accommodations and delicious dining options at affordable rates. The recently renovated property boasts beautiful gardens, native wildlife, and contemporary rooms. Families can enjoy the pirate-themed splash pad, supervised kids club, and pool while indulging in diverse dining experiences including food trucks. In the evening, guests can partake in action-packed entertainment.
I was in contact with the property prior to the travel date due to some negative reviews. I have to say we were impressed. The room we stayed in was large and nicely decorated for our anniversary. Aside from the sewage odor in the area of the Platnum member, the resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Our first all inclusive, it was very pleasant and worth the trip. We stayed away from the salad bar, drank bottled water, beer and wine only. The food were delicious. The pool and beach were close together and that is just wonderful. A shout out to one of the managers, Manny thanks for helping us arranging our transportation to the airport when we had no cell service. And yes Greisy, one of the staff at the buffet...was very attentive, loving and fun! We would definitely return.

Although the grounds of the hotel are beautiful, it is not worth the money. To start, the room was quite dirty and infested with bedbugs. At first I thought I was getting mosquito bites, then I realized the pattern and onset only happened when I was in the bed. Even after requesting cleaning service the room was still uncomfortably dirty. The couch was filled with stains, there was mold everywhere. The phones in the room did not work, so if you needed any service you had to travel all the way to the front of the resort to the lobby (there are trains that take you around the property which is nice). The food is also very very unpleasant. Also, the wifi goes out quite frequently which caused a bit of trouble during my stay. The staff was kind though and the grounds were very secure, but I would not recommend. Another thing, my room seemed to be the only one that didn’t come equipped with a blanket and when I asked for one it took two hours when it was already late at night. But most other rooms came equipped with blankets so this may have been a one off issue.

We stayed hear the last week od September. The grounds were beautiful here, but I would not go back. The staff wasn't very friendly except the bartenders (especially Jaime at the 24/7 pub). Our room smelled moldy and was not very updated. It was hard to communicate because most of the staff did not speak English. Room service was terrible. The Platinum area was definitely worth the extra money. We loved the Cappachino hut and PBG restaurant. The ala cart restaurants were very good as well. Be prepared to walk a lot. Everything is spread out. There are shuttles, but they aren't always available when you jeed one. Definitely not a 5 star resort - closer to 3.5.

* Stayed here for 5 nights and honestly, it was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve had. * The rooms are nice, clean, and modern and that’s probably the only good part. * The resort itself feels empty and lifeless. It’s like walking around a ghost town. Most guests are much older, and there’s zero energy or entertainment vibe. * The food is unbelievably bad. I don’t know how you can mess up simple things like burgers, fries, or even coffee but they somehow managed to do that. * Desserts, ice cream, crepes, coffee all were terrible. Nothing tastes fresh or well made. * The staff barely speaks English, which makes basic communication frustrating. You end up relying on Google Translate for the simplest things. * On top of that, some staff members come off as rude or uninterested, which adds to the negative experience. * The drinks are okay, nothing special. * The food quality does not match what you’d expect from an all inclusive resort, especially one that calls itself “five-star.” * We had to order uber eats for last 3 days in a all inclusive resort to just to survive.

I stayed here with my wife and toddler son in April of 2025 and September of 2025 In April I gave GPB a 5 star well deserved rating. Everything was above and beyond. The beach, room service, Food, Staff, cleanliness and modern style. We decided to come back and didn’t realize it is what is called low season in September and October. The price was great this time around and alot of elements were still 5 star. The cons I will say are as follows: the beach was flooded with seaweed due To tropical storms. The Room service staff were less equipped and cleaning was a bit poor. There were alot of mosquitos and sand flies that bite on our balcony and throughout the resort and beach. Off spray just wouldn’t cut it. And the main reason I won’t go back in low season were the few sightings of large sized cockroaches in our room and the main lobby outdoor area. Just a heads up if these are deal breakers for you.
Shane K — Google review
To start off, we stayed in a Platinum room right next to the PBG and the proximity was perfect to the beach. Our room appeared nice and modern but we noticed mold on the wall in the bathroom and next to the bed, the bathtub was dirty, was missing beach towels, and did not have an umbrella so we had to walk in the rain to the Platinum lobby guest accommodations to ask for an umbrella and towels. We really appreciate the kindness and helpfulness from Idanny who spoke very good English. We noticed most of the housekeeping staff and workers did not speak good English so we had some language barriers asking for directions to events at the resort. We feel like Freilyn really made our entire experience much better at the rooftop bar above PBG when he set up a bottle of champagne and our wedding song on a speaker to help us celebrate our anniversary. He was amazing in accommodating any request and I recommend a promotion for him! I also felt like Jerry Jose was fun and entertaining at the PBG poolside bar.

Large and beautiful resort! My stay overall was good! I loved the food, it was really good! I liked the beach. Compared to other resorts, it was cleaner. Regarding the room, ours was 1814, the safe, phone, and bathtub didn't work at all! We mentioned it to reception, and they sent a gentleman to fix it, but the next day it was the same. And since we're not people who complain much, we let it stay that way! Regarding cleanliness, the lady who cleaned our room always made an effort to keep it clean. I don't remember her name, but she was very friendly and helpful. I even asked her to surprise my partner because it was his birthday, and she decorated it beautifully! Another negative aspect was that the large pool was dirty and smelly! But otherwise, I recommend the resort!
Inês C — Google review
We checked out 2 days early and paid extra for a flight out. Unless you are a heavy drinker and don't care about food quality, this place is not for you. The food was far below average, the service was mediocre, the staff was friendly, but not worth the cost. I won't likely ever book another all-inclusive hotel, and certainly not this one. The upgraded (Platinum Suite) was nice, but there is no ice, and the internet is terrible (even the paid version). There was construction going on during the day in the adjacent villa, and the work crew was quite loud (talking, etc.) besides the normal construction noise. No refund offered.

An amazingly wonderful hotel where we spent seven unforgettable days! We were absolutely happy with our stay. The whole staff was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and so kind. We especially loved the evening entertainment — and the Halloween party last night was just fantastic: fun, bright, and full of joy! 💃🕺 Jasmin, Alexander, Julie, Mileni, Erika — we truly loved you! ❤️ Once again, we realized that we chose the perfect place for our honeymoon. We will definitely come back!

Great resort for adult to relax. The reason I don't give this resort 5 stars is because of the food. With that being said, the servers made up for the quality and lack of variety. The animation team are awsome! Always keeping visitors involved. Each of them are great dancers as well. Having access to the sister resort, Tropical Deluxe Princess, is a plus. I Recommend this resort.

I had an amazing experience at punta Cana princess adults only. Me and my wife had an amazing experience! Jose at the reception was super kind and helpful. The chauffeurs and luggage folks were a huge help. The rooms are pretty decent only some cosmetic things but the pool was very nice and not too crowded. The restaurants were decent, our favorite spot was definitely the snack bar by the beach. I would say for the price you get here it’s the perfect investment to get to know punta Cana and be introduced to its all inclusives. I can definitely say the hospitality here is great. I loved this guy Freddy, super kind, our bartender Gregorio was nice and the parties in the lobby were great! The security around the beach at night made us feel safe and secure. The beach around this time had too much seaweed unfortunately, but you definitely get your money’s worth in food, drinks, swimming, and overall a great experience. The DJing could use some work, the food could have been a little better. That being said, I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a budget getaway and would return!

Erika, Fran and the whole team has been wonderful to us and my family.. not to mention our wonderful friends nancy and laura and many more friends we made along the way. You really feel like family… Some rooms should be updated, some food as well but that did not made our stay bad. The quality of people is what makes you want to come back for more!

The entertainment team was amazing, they helped people come out of their comfort zones to participate in different things like archery with erika and aerobics, yoga, and beach volleyball. Erika was someone who always got us to participate in different things for us to have fun! Our room was beautiful and there was constant room service if needed. Everyone was so friendly and constantly ready to help if we needed. The beach was a walk away and the pool was always in use for people to get in. It was more beautiful than I could have thought it to be!

⭐️⭐️ 2/5 The room was okay, but the air con wasn’t great – it always felt like it needed to be a few degrees colder. When I arrived, I had to ask the front desk to clean the jacuzzi because it had a dirty ring around it. They did clean it, but still, not a good first impression. The water at night kept running cold which was really annoying. Now onto the food – it was okay if you like junk food. The breakfast buffet wasn’t great. On the first day I had bacon and an omelette, which was actually nice, but that was the only decent breakfast I had. The rest of the time it was mostly cakes, fried bananas, and pancakes – fine if that’s your thing, but not for me. The fruit wasn’t even ripe, so it was basically inedible. The omelette guy looked miserable and kept disappearing into the back every time I went up. Dinner was okay but nothing to write home about. I mainly eat meat, so I was limited. They’d alternate between beef stew, chicken, and fish – fair enough – but everything was bland. The on-site restaurants felt very cheap and tacky. The steakhouse was closed for most of the week, so I tried the Italian instead. Also, you have to pay extra for steak or lobster even though it’s supposed to be “all-inclusive.” I was willing to pay for the steak, but they didn’t have any in stock. Same with the lobster. Ended up ordering lasagne, and honestly, it was awful – completely dried out with no sauce and definitely not made with proper mince. I wouldn’t even serve it to my dog. I left it and went out to eat elsewhere (luckily I had a rental car). The drinks are watered down to the max, and there’s no fresh fruit juice – just cordial. In my opinion, this is a 3-star hotel at best, definitely not 5-star. The room phone didn’t even work, so forget about room service. I won’t be coming back. The Dominican Republic is a beautiful country, but there is too many lucky lucky men the people are too money hungry and service really let it down. The excursions are daylight robbery too. Overall, don’t waste your money here.

Best hotel to book, specially if you're looking for a honeymoon hotel, the attention I received from the staff made think that I needed to pay extra Lol! But it's just they way they are! Super nice and kind. The Food!!!! Best food I have taste in many Hotel from Punta Cana... If you're looking to taste the real flavor of the Dominican republic that hotel is recommended.

First off on arrival we were offered an upgrade, my wife and I was $490 for top shelf booze, room choice, beach towels in room, use of beds on beach robes and slippers, lobster dinner, ECT. Go for a drink at multiple bars, no top shelf, coming tomorrow,5 tomorrow's, beds on beach, dirty, torn, no room choice, no beach towels in room, no robes, lobster was good,I don't like lobster got ribeye filet was pot roast, room was not cleaned for two days with no towels, TV broken off the wall, did not repair, the food in the buffet was terrible, most popular dish was hot dogs just cut different, they had bacon one morning out of seven, other six hot dogs, power was off alot, last day no water. Lobby day bartender was always totally drunk. This was our 10th time at this resort, there will not be #11. Do not pay for the upgrade RIP OFF. I can go on and on, since new owners place has gone down hill very bad. Feel very bad for the staff they are very good, they should be running the place

Hotel Riu Palace Punta Cana is a well-balanced, all-inclusive resort located in the gated Riu complex in Punta Cana. It offers high-quality services, great food, and a mix of entertainment and relaxation suitable for families and adults. The impressive tropical Caribbean architecture of the buildings adds to the charm of this beachfront resort.
Exceptional experience at Riu Palace Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the staff's warm welcome set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Daily room cleaning and stocked fridges were thoughtful touches. The buffet staff, particularly Esteban, Marino, Jose #2, and Edwin, went above and beyond to ensure our dining experiences were exceptional. Their friendly service and attention to detail made our trip truly special. Highly recommend Riu Palace Punta Cana for a relaxing and memorable vacation. Thanks to the entire staff for making our stay unforgettable!

Spent my birthday week at this hotel and while the overall experience was decent, it was made truly special by one incredible staff member Orlan, a wonderful and warm-hearted waiter. Orlan went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal and memorable. His friendly, family-oriented attitude really stood out and added that extra touch that the rest of the staff, unfortunately, lacked. The hotel itself is okay, it’s family-friendly, has the basics, and the room decoration for my birthday was absolutely lovely. However, when it came to service, I was disappointed. Despite it being a special occasion, I was the one who had to ask for a birthday cake, no one from the staff followed up or checked in during the week. When my boyfriend got sick, we discovered the hotel didn’t even have something as basic as paracetamol. While I did enjoy my time, it was largely because I was in good company. The hotel has potential, and I would recommend it for families, but the staff definitely need training in hospitality and guest care. Small gestures can go a long way, and with more attention to detail and guest support, this hotel could really shine. Special thanks again to Orlan, you’re a star.

Upon checking in, we were told AFTER they had already put the band on our wrists, that there was no power at the resort. But after some talking with the manager, we got a room in a wing that had power. The power ended up coming back on later that evening. Thankfully the remainder of the trip was fine and we had power the rest of the stay. Alba at the upstairs Daiquiri bar was great! She was so fun to talk with and have a few laughs. Randy at the bar by the pools was also great! Friendly, made consistent good drinks and was the best bartender in that area. Juan Carlos who was a gardener was friendly and kind to us. And finally, Antonio, in the buffet area was great as well. Helpful, friendly, and took good care of his table. There were others who were not as attentive. We had a great time overall. The resort was very relaxed, almost too relaxed. Many of the staff were on their cell phones while working. We never encountered this at the Riu's in Vallarta or in Cabo. Food was great and the pool and beaches were great.

I loved the parties they did if you are going to have fun expect the best parties for adults ever. These parties are only for adults and they are for all Riu hotels. The entertainment at the hotel is fun but they need to do more activities throughout the day with the guest but they are super nice the entertainment people. The kitchen and waiters at restaurants are super nice and welcoming. They make you feel so special and the food was great. The only thing i did not like at all about this hotel was the cleaning aspect. The rooms smell humid, they have tiny cockroaches, they don’t clean them well because they were spots i left them unclean and they were the same after i had room service. Also bathrooms in the hotel areas are not clean enough. But overall the bar people were also amazing they did an awesome job getting everyone order as fast as they could and would make so many different things to try.

We were not aware of the extreme humid climate in Punta Cana which leads to their multiple mold infested rooms. we had to change rooms 3 times before we found a room with the least amount of mold. We got there Tuesday afternoon and my partner got extremely sick Wednesday night with problems breathing, light headed, congested, headaches. Thursday (my partners birthday) morning I woke up with extreme throat pain, congested and neck pain. We slept one more night because we thought we had just gotten cold but no, my partner started feeling woosey and noticed she always felt better when she wasn't in the room so we contacted management to change rooms. they allowed us to look at 3 other rooms. 1 room (4042) was worse than our room (4062), then we checked 4064(the room with the least amount of mold but the tv was broke and room 4066 which had more mold than 4064 but less than 4042 so we went with 4064. The tv was replaced by the assistant manager. we requested medical bills be paid. the manager agreed to pay medical bills and offered us to stay at another resort. the manager told us to just go to guest services the next day and the paperwork will be waiting there. Saturday morning we woke up almost 180 difference with our health. We went to guest services and they were ONLY willing to pay for ONE of our medical bills not both of us. i told them my partner is actually allergic to mold but they refused to pay for both. there was no compensation offered or anything. Once I decided to take my name of the medical bills and put my partners name on it, they came out with another form they wanted us to sign stating after we go to the doctor, they can not be held reliable for any further damages and that we can't come after them for anything else. We refused to sign the second document and it was stated if we didnt sign than the resort was not going to send us to the doctor or cover the medical bills. Once we returned to the U.S. we both went and got checked out: she has mold infection and a sinus infection and I got strep throat, upper respiratory infection and travelers diarrhea which came from eating the food. So I highly recommend NOT staying at this property. I would definitely visit another part of the DR but not punta cana and not at a Rui resort in Punta Cana. The reviews, the stories and the comments you hear at the airport, online, tiktok are true: do not put ANY of their water in your mouth, be cautious with the meats you eat, and be cautious with the dranks you order to make sure they are using bottle water and not fountain water. Like the water pitchers in the gym and spas. I just wish we had did a little more research on the resort before going but now I'm laid up in the bed with extreme stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting and can't eat any solid foods. We've never had any issues staying at other Rui resorts but the ones in Punta Cana are off the list for good now.

The rooms are dated. I had 2 cracked sinks and a broken toilet in my room that was leaking. Requested for maintenance to come and they came right away. A soap dispenser that kept dropping off the wall. I felt they needed to ensure someone inspected the room to make sure the room was a go for the next guest. Minibar was mini, only drinks were available and the stock was of limited supply. The specialty restaurants have limited food on the menu. Went to the Steakhouse for dinner but by the time i arrived at 8:40pm it had already closed. It was only open from 6pm to 8:30pm. The main buffet area served delicious food. However, the service staff in the dining area picked and choosed whom they wanted to offer good service to. For the nightclub, I would have preferred that the lounge/disco was on the premises. To have to walk down dark pathways after 11pm in an unfamiliar area does not sit well with me. Although if you were going to the casino which was also located in walking distance, they provided a ride. Overall its not a bad resort, it just needs some attention to detail.

This a Great venue, i had a overall great experience, awesome vibes, great food, great drinks, spectacular rooms, great service from all staff roaming the open areas. But I dislike how the FRONT DESK staff was very nasty and acted very entitled for policies that are grossly mismanaged. They explain very little upfront, close your room and charge you for extra time withought up to the minute notification or a simple reminder leading up to the time on the contract you are supposed to hand in your stuff if you run past that time. If you are a business and a client hasn't owed up to bringing the keys, luggage by a certain time you are supposed to notify them make a PHONE CALL/EMAIL/TEXT reminder to return luggage and keys to the front desk on time. Most of all you don't know if the client is sick, lost or is just enjoying themselves too much that they forget the time limit. if you are going to CHARGE extra money, treat a client like a criminal, even going to the point of calling SECURITY like they did to us in front of small children via the head person in charge of that area during the day on (10/05/25) you ouught to be ashamed of yourselfs. I blame the workers in charge of the front desk, policies of this resort for my displeasure. I would suggest for this policy to be explained properly on the first day to all the main guests and be reinforced with atleast an text, email, phone call leading up to or at the clients time limit. Like i said again i am a people, worker friendly person. I really hate to do this but my case was mismanaged and not doing this would be a disservice for myself and future guests. I was finnessed out of $84 extra dollars for something that is a failure of the resort. If a guest doesn't show up you are supposed to notify them or do a safety check to see where they are and not scheme to get more money out of them. All my stuff was already packed all we needed was a simple reminder or phone call.

I stayed at RIU Palace Punta Cana, and it was one of the most disappointing and unsafe experiences I’ve ever had at a resort. Due to the negligence presented by this resort I feel obligated to seek legal counsel. On October 13 around 5–6 PM, the property suffered a complete power outage that lasted for over 28 hours. There was no lighting, air conditioning, or safety system, leaving guests in total darkness and unbearable heat. That evening, while walking back from the RIU Party area in complete darkness, I tripped on a step and severely sprained my ankle. The front desk refused to help unless I paid $200 upfront, and when they finally provided crutches, they were broken and hurt my arm. I didn’t receive a wheelchair or proper medication for more than 24 hours after the injury. The staff were unhelpful and dismissive, and even after explaining that I was injured and in pain, they refused to move me to a room with air conditioning or ice. One supervisor even told me my injury “had nothing to do” with my room request. During the outage, the conditions were unacceptable: rooms were without A/C or refrigeration, food was unsafe and left out for hours, and the fridge leaked water onto the floor. Even after being moved to another room, there was still no power. Meanwhile, other RIU hotels nearby already had electricity restored. Power finally returned around 9 PM on October 14, but the resort never took responsibility for the situation. It’s now been over a week since I filed a formal complaint, and no one from RIU has responded. For a resort that calls itself “luxury,” the lack of emergency preparation, compassion, and accountability is shocking. I left injured, frustrated, and disappointed. I would not recommend RIU Palace Punta Cana to anyone.

Worst resort experience in Punta Cana – avoid if you value customer service and cleanliness. We stayed at Vista Sol Punta Cana from July 31 to August 5, 2025, and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I’ve had in the DR — and I’ve been here dozens of times. We were misled about a dinner reservation, made to wait 2 hours, only to be told “go eat at the buffet” with no apology. A security guard falsely accused my family of stealing a beach bag without even asking questions — yelling in front of other guests. Turns out my daughter had accidentally brought the wrong bag to our room. We returned it immediately, but the damage was done. The staff (not all, but most) were rude, unhelpful, and acted like guests were a burden — until a supervisor was nearby. And to top it off, there were cockroaches near our room — I even took pictures because I couldn’t believe it. I brought friends from Jamaica to show off my home country, and instead, they left with a bad impression. That’s what hurts the most. Not asking for anything — just warning others. This resort needs serious changes in staff training, hospitality, and hygiene.

The roomd are outdated and Wifi is poor in room. The rooms are not air conditioned. The room was reading 25.5 all day and front desk stated that was as low it gets. The store is insane price wise! such as phone charger $93 US. Pool is ok the beach is confusing as many resorts use the same stretch of sand. The drinks are too sweet so stick to beer. Limited English spoke so be prepared for that. The place gardens are well maintained and ducks and peacocks roam the property.

My friend and I visited July 2025. I must say we had an amazing time and will definitely return. The check-in was a bit of a wait and then we were given rooms on the 3rd floor but at the time the elevator was not working. After declining that room they happily switched us to the 1st floor. Our room (1103) was beautiful but quite muggy smelling which after a couple of days with the balcony open and AC off it mostly went away. The food was amazing with lots of variety! The staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t remember all their names but Darlin and Miguel at the beach bar was always so happy, dancing while serving up the drinks even in that heat. The night entertainment was very good all week! There was some seaweed, which they worked diligently to clean up, but one cannot control mother nature so we just made the best of it!

Fantastic hotel where the staff go above and beyond to provide the very best experience for their guests. The pool’s are impressive, well-maintained and clean. The food is one of the best I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort, and I’ve travelled to a fair few over the years. Whether it’s the open buffet or the many choices of restaurants - it’s all superb.

Overall I would only give 4 star to this hotel. The hotel is old and they definitely should renovate it soon. Even they tried their best to clean the room, But it still old, with some mouldy smell. There's no ac everywhere, only in your room and two of the special restaurant. Be ready to get super sweat when eating. The pool was super dirty, cloudy water and it looks like swimming inside milk. Also have to mention they have party every night till very late, you can hear the base noise I'm the room, family with kid who sleep early should avoid this hotel. Staff in this hotel barely speak English. Lots of language barrier when you try to request something or communicate with them. Last But not least, food are terrible.

We worked with a travel agent who booked us this resort for our honeymoon and it was definitely a let down. We were promised a white sand beach with crystal blue water, but instead were welcomed with mountains of rotting seaweed(pics included), a smell we couldn’t get away from. We were also told there would numerous free water activities offered on the resort such as snorkeling and paddle-boarding, which was also not true. The employees at the reception desk were extremely rude and unhelpful. Our shower head in our room was broken, they “repaired” it only for it to break again the next morning. Guest services then promised us a complimentary gift for our trouble which never came. We ended up booking an earlier flight home. Some of the positives were the wait staff at the restaurants were friendly and the pools were clean. The teppanyaki was actually good but the other food was rather awful. Also, you only are allowed to reserve spots in restaurants 4 times in a week (something they do not tell you). If you do not eat at a restaurant you are stuck with the buffet which was disgusting. Would not recommend.

Vista Sol as I write this, I'm waiting in the lobby for my taxi, right now. Kudos to the hotel, the wonderful food, the staff and of course the management. The food is so good and varied that I gained 2kg. All compliments. I will come again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation Vista Sol.

Club Med Punta Cana is a vibrant all-inclusive beachfront resort located in the Dominican Republic. Spanning over 100 acres, it offers a complete tropical getaway for families with access to four restaurants, four bars, and an array of included activities. The resort boasts unlimited water and land sports, daily and nightly entertainment, as well as a kids' club catering to children from 4 months to 17 years old.
This is the fourth time my friends and I have stayed at Club Med Punta Cana, and it continues to exceed expectations every visit (whether for work events or personal vacations). The resort is absolutely beautiful and has a truly welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. The staff makes all the difference. Yan at the Zen beach service is always attentive, charming, and quick with refreshing drinks that make relaxing by the ocean even better. Eduardo at the main bar brings so much energy and fun. His personality guarantees you’ll have a blast. At Indigo and the main bar, Juan has been our favorite every single time. We honestly look forward to seeing him each trip. A special mention goes to Samarun, who goes above and beyond with his professionalism and hospitality. He keeps guests informed about all the resort activities, answers every question with care, and makes sure things get done quickly and smoothly. His helpfulness really takes the guesswork out of planning your days at the resort. Truly A+ service! If you’re looking for a Caribbean all-inclusive vacation that combines beautiful scenery and world-class service, you cannot go wrong with Club Med Punta Cana. We’ll definitely be back again!

We, two adults, stayed two weeks at ClubMed Punta Cana. Wonderful place. Enjoyed it a lot. Good variety of food and particularly the fresh fruit was to die for! As always the club has lots and lots of activities. As it was extremely hot and humid during our stay (as expected) we didn't use all of them but enjoyed what we did manage to do. The Archery was particularly good fun and well run by the very friendly GO Clement. Made me come back almost all days to improve my skills 😁. The morning walks with Pablo and Mike were also very enjoyable. We'll be back. As with a lot of places in the Caribbean the influx of invasive seaweed is a big problem. A small army of workers do their best to keep the beach clean but sometimes it is just too much. If prestine white beaches are your thing then be forewarned.

We are a Club Med family- our whole family loves vacationing at Club Med, from the adults to the kids!! Our favorite resort is Punta Cana- it is wonderful and very convenient- a 5-10 minute drive from the airport. Our most recent trip was Aug must 2925. Abdel is currently the chef du village and is “aux petits soins”- very present and strives to make each guest feel welcome and comfortable. His team, including YOUYOU and MIGUEL, are also very helpful and make the effort to interact with guests to ensure that all is going well. Ido think that the service aspect (front desk and premier member concierge) was not quite up to prior stays- for example, there was an issue with the organization of our departure that made us leave 1.5 hours after our scheduled time. We nearly missed our flight and it was very stressful. However, the mini club was wonderful, as always. BANANA, JOHN, SOPHIE, VERO COCO, SALOME, et ALEXIE took wonderful care of our kids and were full of energy. The circus team was also exceptional and helped my daughter, who loves the circus, learn new tricks!! Thank you so much for the magical memories that you created for our kids and our family!! We will be back!!

Upon arrival at around 11pm, our experience unfortunately started off on the wrong foot. We had booked a Family deluxe room and unfortunately ours had quite a foul odor upon entering the room. AC in the kids room also was not working. We ended up temporarily relocating to a downsized room for the night in order for the hotel to sort out the smell issue. It took us 2h from arrival to having to put the kids to bed at 1 AM. By morning, we were informed that our original room would be cleaned once more and AC fixed which took an entire day. We only entered the room around 4pm with our luggage waiting for us outside the room obviously containing important documentation. It ultimately resulted in a refund of 2 nights. It was definitely not a good first impression for first time guests. We fully expected management to directly get in touch with us which was not done. Big thank you to Pascale who ultimately got us sorted out into a proper, fully functioning room. We truly appreciated her professionalism and empathy. That being said, if we base ourselves only on the resort itself, it truly is a great resort don’t get me wrong. There are three big pools: one for kids, one for families, and one for adults. We tried all three, and they were really amazing. There are so many activities for both kids and adults, and you’ll never get bored. The resort is huge, beautifully maintained, and our room was always spotless after the smell problem was resolved. We had nothing to say about the hotel facilities themselves. I would definitely go back to another Club Med just to experience that again. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever want to stay at another hotel brand besides Club Med, I just wish our concerns at the beginning of our vacation would have been addressed in a more timely manner, especially from management. On a positive note, the Kids Club team was absolutely amazing. They were always warm, welcoming, and playful with our children, making them excited to go every day. Special thanks to Gabriella Chocolat, Vero Coco, Shaina, Jeffson, Djerson, Kimberly, and John C. You made a big difference in our stay. And for those whose names I may have forgotten, especially the teams for the 4–5-year-olds and 6–7-year-olds. Thank you as well for the wonderful work you all did. Your patience, smiles, and energy really made our kids’ experience unforgettable. The food was good, and Charles made the best drinks at the bar! The animation team, especially Youyou, was full of energy and brought great vibes to the resort. Now, I normally never bring race into things I grew up in a mutli cultural country and believe in equal treatment for everyone. But as a person of color, I can honestly say that the way I was treated by some of the Dominican staff at the resort was disappointing and made me uncomfortable. To explain: when I tipped a lady at Hispaniola, I always had great service water at the table and attentive care. But when she wasn’t around, I suddenly got ignored. I believe in tipping for good service, not the other way around. At the kids’ pool, I asked for towels and was told “no towels.” Two minutes later, a Caucasian guest asked the same person and received two towels right away. I had to go back and speak to someone else to finally get the towels. At the Indigo restaurant, my husband and I were seated before another group, but the staff took their order first and ignored us until we had to ask. And the worst moment of all, whilst walking with my children, a construction worker on site, although not a Club Med staff member, called me the N-word. I was shocked and deeply hurt. Club Med really needs to look deeper into their staff’s behavior and attitudes, because regardless of my skin color, I paid for my stay like everyone else. Money has no color and every guest deserves respect and fair treatment. Would I go back to Club Med Punta Cana? Definitely not. But would I give Club Med a chance elsewhere? Absolutely, because the resort itself was wonderful, and I truly believe the experience could be different elsewhere.

Our girls' vacation was once again wonderful in every way. Last year we were in Cancún and this year we decided on Punta Cana. We met Abdel again, the same Chef de Village, with Samarun as Leisure Experience Manager, who was always among the guests with a winning smile and an open ear. We all agree that Samarun will make an excellent Chef de Village. We stayed at the Zen Oasis – truly an oasis with a beautiful pool and gorgeous rooms. As there was (exceptionally) no pickleball instructor during my week's vacation, I did yoga and Pilates under the palapa on the beach instead. Here I ran into the lively Melanie from last year in Cancún, who knows how to motivate people. The evening shows, music, and dancing were just great, and we loved the music at the bar, where you could really dance the night away in Caribbean temperatures. The food was fantastic, and we never had any trouble finding a table in one of the restaurants. In the meantime, the work on the newly built restaurant and bar was completed. We only saw the construction work, unfortunately not the opening. I'm sure this part of the club village center is another great addition to the village. As former G.O.s (from the 90s) and on our birthday trip, Samarun organized a beautiful, decorated table for us with special service throughout the evening. Thanks again! Actually it is a family village and we usually prefer "adults only". But surprisingly, we didn't notice anything from the families and the atmosphere was excellent.

I desperately want to give 5 stars, but perfect scores mean that guests are willing to overlook any negativity, and thus management will also think the negatives aren’t worth fixing. So with that, I start with the reason for four stars: The rooms! We stayed in the most cost effective rooms and they were AWFUL. And don’t tell me “oh but you’re not paying for the room, you’re paying for all the activities, the all inclusive, etc.” And to that I reply: No, I AM paying for the room. And I want a room that’s nice, or at least decent. Punta Cana - like many other Club Mes properties - has appalling rooms unless you pay for the premium ones. No doubt premium prices should result in higher quality. But basic rooms shouldn’t be terrible. Not for club Med prices. What is so bad? Everything in the rooms are cheap, weak and on their last legs. A fresh coat of paint is appreciated but it’s not going to fix ugly 1990s tiles with mildew, cheap bathroom counter tops, faucets that are too short so the water flows onto the counter and not into the basin, the cheapest wall art you’ve ever seen… it’s just not good. And here I change to the positives, because we loved our experience there and would be tempted to go back, minus the rooms . They opened a brand new reception/bar/lounge/restaurant/patio complex while we were there and it is STUNNING. The activities are top notch. The GOs are always helpful, always have a smile, always ready to bring the fun. The food was great. The tennis courts were good enough, and there were a lot of them. The circus facilities were well kept. The shows at night were entertaining. The main pool was older but still very nice. Grounds are well kept… except for the pathways which need major repaving and are both unsightly due to their cracks and uneven surface but also you risk twisting your ankle so it’s uncomfortable to walk on them and then everyone calls for the shuttle service because no one wants to break an ankle on the way to dinner, and then the queues for the shuttle become too long! One more kudos: I LOVE the fact that there are NO plastic water bottles given to guests, no plastic cutlery or takeaway containers, no plastic garage bags in the rooms, no mini plastic toiletries. Wish all resorts could get rid of plastic! In short, If you don’t care about a nice room, then you will have absolutely everything you want at Punta Cana!

Looks Nice, But Miserable Stay I can’t believe how disappointing this trip has been. The air conditioning doesn’t work, even though they promised multiple times it was fixed — it never was. After being out all day in the humid 88-degree heat, it would be nice to come back and relax in a cool room at night, but that’s impossible here. The bed is so hard it feels like sleeping on the floor. Everyone smiles and promises to “make me happy” and “take care of it,” but nothing actually gets done. I had to go get my own luggage after they said twice it would be delivered. I asked for water — they said they’d bring it — never came. The TV remote doesn’t work either. And the food… just bland, boring, and the same thing day after day. You have to eat here for every meal, so that’s been a huge disappointment. I came here expecting comfort and relaxation, but instead, it’s been frustration after frustration. The people are nice, but nice doesn’t fix broken A/C, bad food, or sleepless nights. The resort, palm trees, location is beautiful. The staff are very nice, and want to help. I still have a few days to go , will update if things improve!

We've stayed at the hotel in October 2025 with our extended family and 2 kids under 3. Pros: -Awesome kids club -Strong sports and entertainment programs -Nice ocean views Cons: - No AC or vents in restaurants and bars. I see it as a major minus - it's very hot and humid, as a result, you come to the restaurant already wet. No relief at the restaurant / practicaly no air movement till the evening, evenings are somewhat better. - Very mediocre food. Great food presentation though. -Narrow pathes with golf carts taking the same pathes as people, which makes you step off the path with the stroller multiple times per any walk. Very annoying. -Average service (excluding kids club; as I said, team there was awesome) -Major construction right in the center, that makes tou go in circles multiple times a day -Small issues in very recently renovated rooms (like closet doors already not shutting properly) To summarize, I would say that the value you get for the price you pay is way below what it needs to be. We will likely continue using ClubMed in Mexico while the kids are small, it's way higher in service, but will certainly never go to Punta Cana again

Nestled on the stunning Bavaro Beach, Royalton Bavaro All-Inclusive Resort & Spa offers a luxurious retreat for families, couples, and singles alike. The upscale resort boasts elegantly styled suites, 9 restaurants serving a variety of cuisines including traditional Dominican dishes, and 3 pools for relaxation and fun. Guests can also enjoy a casino, onsite splash park for kids, and a lazy river.
We are currently staying at Royalton Bavaro in Punta Cana, and I have to say the hotel is absolutely beautiful — just like in the pictures! Our check-in experience was very pleasant. The lobby is stunning, and everything went smoothly and comfortably thanks to Shester Leonardo, who has been with us since our arrival and has continued to assist us throughout our stay. The food has been delicious so far, and the rooms are super comfortable and spotless. The beach is incredibly clean and completely free of seaweed, which I really appreciate since it’s been an issue in many places in recent years. Everything feels easier and more relaxing when you have great staff and kind people like Shester around you. So far, everything has been truly pleasant and enjoyable. Overall, we’re having a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Punta Cana.

The Royalton Punta Cana is an incredible resort that truly has something for everyone. The breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing—there are several omelet chefs ready to make your eggs just the way you like them, plus a smoothie station to start your day fresh. After breakfast, you can stroll over for a latte, cappuccino, or even a coffee cocktail. The coffee here, sourced from Santo Domingo, is smooth and strong—absolutely delicious! From there, you can head straight to the beach with its gorgeous white sand and crystal-clear water, or enjoy one of the many pools, including the fun lazy river. The staff are always courteous, kind, and helpful, and what stood out to me is that they do this without expecting a tip (although tips are always appreciated). Security here is excellent as well—I felt completely comfortable leaving my things and phone on a beach chair without worry. Entertainment is lively and fun, with a special shoutout to Pandaboy and Ricardo, who go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time. Whether you’re looking for a fun, upbeat party vibe or just want to relax on the beach, this resort strikes the perfect balance. The lunch buffet is outstanding, and while the restaurants are just okay (I’d skip the tiramisu at the Italian restaurant), the overall food experience is very enjoyable. All in all, the Royalton Punta Cana is a fantastic family resort with an amazing staff, beautiful grounds, and plenty to do. I left relaxed, happy, and already planning my return! 🌴✨

I wanted to write a review on our experience traveling with our 11 month old, we came for a week at the beginning of october. I didn't see many reviews regarding little ones before we came, so hopefully this will give good insight to those traveling here with littles in the future! We were treated so well, I can't relate to the negative reviews some people have had. Food was great, there were highchairs at each restaurant and the staff was exceptional and always accommodating. Alot of the staff made fun animal sounds to make my baby girl laugh and it really added to the experience for us. The locals were a highlight in general for sure. The pools were beautiful, but usually warm because of the constant exposure to the sun. For the best shade and cooler temp., you'll want to stick with the lazy river. We also brought a baby floatie she was able to sit in which was 100% worth it. You'll definitely want to bring a stroller to get to and from the beach/pools/restaurants, etc. We stayed in a family room which had a sliding wall - this was nice for when baby had her naps and could have a dark space to sleep. They also had good sized and comfortable cribs, but make sure to bring bedding aside from sheets. I was worried about the water quality in terms of washing and having enough filtered water for her bottles, but we got an abundance of bottled water whenever we requested it and it was more than enough. We also were given a kettle for sterilizing which was perfect. It's always nerve racking traveling with babies, but the royalton bavaro really made our experience smooth and seamless. I would definitely come back and would recommend this resort to all types of family dynamics. Special s/o to Adonis, Evert, Diego, the omelet chef, Teofino and Sam - they all gave truly exceptional service

We went on a couples trip to the Royalton Bavaro in Punta Cana and I would say it’s definitely not worth your money, especially if you’re looking for an adults only area as there are children everywhere. As soon as we reached there on our first day, we waited over 2 hours just to check into our resort and room. Then we had to wait another hour till 3pm for our room to be ready which our rooms should’ve been already prepared and ready at us arriving there. Our room had the worst view. We had the view of seeing a whole concrete building right across from our room which is terrible because we are paying for our room and we are getting a terrible view. Our refrigerator was not being replenished on a daily basis. We ordered room service at night time and said they would’ve taken (90 mins) to arrive..waited over 2 hours and no one even showed up. Our last day, they had cut off water in certain areas and buildings to do maintenance roughly around 8am-6:45pm and our building was one of them, which means you can’t shower, or even use the toilet. Also our room had a leak through the ceiling from someone else’s shower which was very bad. Buffet was okay, they had okay food, same food every other day. Teppanyaki, Steakhouse, and Italian restaurants are the best restaurants on the resort. The beach was also a downfall as there was lots of sea moss on the beach and found a big nail in the sand where people sit under the tree huts and relax on the chairs, luckily I seen it, otherwise someone would’ve got hurt. Another downside to the resort is their stone tiles all over the resort. The tiles are very smooth which means you have to be carful with walking as I slipped and hurt my foot along walking on these smooth stone tiles. The bar servers gave us our drinks in paper cups when there was plastic and glass cups to serve in. I wouldn’t really recommend this resort.

BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER! Any negative review about this place is written by some privileged, entitled, snob. This was my third time in DR and the past two resorts I went to were Lopesan and Dreams Onyx which are considered 2 of the best. Royalton Bavaro was better in nearly every single category. Rooms: If you go on vacation and care about your room, stay home. The rooms were spacious and designed for practicality. The shower was the best shower I have ever experienced where 2 people could comfortably shower with ample space at the same time. Food: Straight up disbelief. The food was better than I could have ever imagined. They literally had ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER?! Where do you EVER see that? They also had massive jumbo shrimp freshly grilled, steak grilling station, pasta station, pizza station, and this was all at JUST the buffet. Their al la carte restaurants were all good but the Japanese Hibachi was the best in terms of flavour and experience. Upon arrival ask someone where "Info Point" is and make all your reservations for the week. The app is "meh". Highly recommend the BBQ restaurant located in the middle of the Lazy River area. Its perfect for saving time and having to avoid going back to room and lunch buffet and getting a quick bite and right back into the lazy river. Lazy River: I'm making this its own category because its honestly the heart and soul of this resort. My family and I spent between 4-5 hours here every single day right after breakfast. The resort has their own floaties but we all brought our own and used a foot air pump. I suggest bringing your own incase they all get booked. Shout out to Johny at the Lazy River Dips bar. Best attitude and easily made the best drinks as well. Ask for the frozen mango, its amazing! Beach: Pristine. We went in September so the Sargassum (seaweed) is not as bad as in peak summer but there was still a tiny bit. The workers cleaned it so fast that most days there was none at all. WAY better experience than I have had with it in the past at other resorts. Grounds/Pools: Practical and elegant. Lopesan had a overall more "boujee" vibe but this place was not far off. The pools were solid. The main and largest pool closest to the beach has a great swim-up bar with great drinks. Water temperature was perfect. Entertainment: Basketball court, mini golf, casino, nightly shows. The shows were okay but nothing special. This place is great for families but if you're young and looking to party you can probably find better alternatives. Service: Our rooms were cleaned every single day without delay. Everyone was full of smiles and eager to help. Nobody acted entitled and happily provided amazing service without expectation of tips. Thank you to everyone of you amazing people! Overall: All in all Royalton Bavaro was honestly my favourite resort I've ever been to. Me and my family had an unforgettable vacation which we will all cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you to everyone who made it so special, we are infinitely grateful!

My wife and I were incredibly excited for our stay at Royalton Bavaro, having booked a king-size suite months in advance. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill fast. We were told our room wasn’t ready, despite our reservation being confirmed long ago. After waiting for what felt like forever, we were finally given our room only to walk in and find two single beds. Not exactly ideal for a couple on vacation. When we went back to the front desk to resolve the issue, the staff were not only unhelpful but shockingly rude. One even argued with us, saying “we sell rooms, not beds” which honestly blew my mind. Instead of trying to find a solution, they just dismissed us. Things only got worse. The first time we turned on the bathroom sink, the entire bottom exploded, sending foul-smelling gunk all over the floor it looked and smelled like vomit. Truly disgusting. The attitude of the staff throughout the resort was just as bad. It felt like we were a burden to them every time we asked for anything, be it service, towels, or even basic answers to simple questions. One manager in particular, Emanuel, stood out for all the wrong reasons. Rather than de-escalating or offering help, he was aggressive and confrontational, telling us flat out there was “nothing he could do” and that they “don’t give refunds.” No apology, no accountability, nothing. The food? Below average. Bland, repetitive, and felt like it was thrown together without care. You have to practically beg to get anything done around here. This was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, but it turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing vacations we’ve ever had. There are far better resorts in the area save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

My first time at this resort and it is the best. I went to others and I truly love Royalton Bavaro for the good service and how well they treat the guests. The animation is very good, especially Mackendy and Panda. The dance class was very good. My wife enjoyed it a lot. The guys from Vibe Team are the best.

Disappointing Birthday Trip – Poor Service, Broken Promises, and Unacceptable Conditions I’m writing to share my deep disappointment with my recent stay at Royalton Bavaro Beach from September 19 to 22, 2025 — a trip booked to celebrate my daughter’s 15th birthday that turned into a stressful and frustrating experience due to repeated service failures, unfulfilled promises, and poor facility conditions. I paid $200 in advance for a birthday package that was supposed to include room decorations and a cake upon arrival. Despite receiving written confirmation, nothing was set up. I raised the issue with two different front desk employees, both of whom ignored my concerns and never followed up. Eventually, someone brought a balloon and flower arrangement to the room — a fraction of what was promised. The birthday cake was never delivered. This was just one of several serious issues we encountered: The second-floor deck was unsafe and poorly maintained. The elevator and our room had a persistent smell of mold, humidity, and sewage. Our room phone didn’t work, making it hard to reach staff. The sofa bed was never made, despite repeated requests. My daughter slept the first night without covers. Customer service was consistently lacking — even basic requests like coffee at breakfast were ignored. Our Sunday reservation at the Italian restaurant was canceled without notice, and no alternative was provided due to not having enough staff. Food availability was extremely limited all weekend. Menu items were frequently missing. I emailed both management and corporate after the trip. The first “solution” offered was loyalty points. Eventually, they offered a $200 refund — but only if I signed a release, as if this were a legal dispute rather than a customer complaint. I found this both offensive and dismissive, especially given the lack of accountability and the number of issues we faced. This experience fell far below the standard promised by the Royalton brand. A trip that was supposed to be a joyful milestone was instead marked by poor service, unkept promises, and lack of hospitality. I cannot recommend this resort — especially not for special occasions.

Dreams Royal Beach is an all-inclusive beach resort located on the east coast of Dominican Republic. With a beautiful sandy beach stretching as far as the eye can see, tropical palm trees and thatched roofs dotting the property, Dreams Royal Beach provides a tranquil escape from everyday life. Along with a large free-form swimming pool and several restaurants and bars, guests can enjoy plenty of activities including water play areas and arts and crafts.
We just came back from our stay at Dreams Resort Punta Cana, where we enjoyed the Preferred Club experience — and it was absolutely amazing! Every morning, we were greeted with exceptional service at Portofino by Daily, Margarita, and Jacqueline. They were outstanding — warm, attentive, and always providing world-class service, not just at breakfast but any time we needed assistance. Our room was always spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. Elizabeth, thank you for keeping everything so clean and making it feel like home — you were incredible! We also received excellent attention at the bar from Marilyn. From the minute we walked in, she greeted us with so much joy and enthusiasm. Her positive energy set the tone for our entire trip — we knew right away it was going to be amazing! And we cannot say thank you enough to Marcelo, the best butler and concierge we could have asked for. He went above and beyond to make our stay effortless and unforgettable. His attention to detail and kindness truly made our trip special. We’re so grateful to the entire team for making our vacation a dream come true. We can’t wait to come back!

Just returned from a wonderful 6 night stay! The beautiful grounds only paled to the beautiful smiles of the attentive staff. The chefs outside themselves! From lobster tails to osso buco we had a wide variety of delicious meals and deserts every meal. The pools were not overcrowded and the lazy river was delightful. The room was immaculate and housekeeping met our requests quickly. Entertainment was diversified. Kid friendly but also plenty of fun for grownups- the bars we're well stocked. We will look no further next visit! This is the place.

Our experience here was pretty subpar. The resort is beautiful, it’s right on the beach, and the rooms are nice and clean. However, the service at most restaurants and bars is quite slow and the food is not good. We ended up upgrading to preferred because you won’t have access to any of the more decent restaurants if you don’t. We noticed that our room service came MUCH quicker after upgrading to preferred as well. Not sure if this was just a coincidence though. The morning that we were checking out, the power in our room started turning off like every 5-10 minutes. It did this for about a whole hour. We weren’t sure if it was happening to the whole resort or if it was just a way to get people out of their rooms faster lol. Our flight didn’t leave until the evening we checked out so we left our bags with the front desk. When we came back to get them, it took like a whole hour for the staff to figure out where they were. Thankfully, we weren’t in a rush to the airport or anything. Secrets resort is right next door so we ended up spending most of our time at their pool because it’s bigger. We were excited about the water park but it’s sort of a far walk from everything else so we only went once and did not return. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but not great either.

We stayed here last week for our 30th Wedding Vowel renewal. Yes, this resort was Beautiful and Amazing! what made it so Amazing is their Awesome and attentive staff. From the very first contact with our wedding coordinator Danika to the Superman himself. Roberto, our concierge, who handled our large needy group with tender loving care,we unfortunately had a couple people with injuries and someone that needed to leave the resort for their health care needs, God blessed us with these unique individuals who helped make sure our family was taken care of and could attend our beautiful ceremony. This could've turned out horrible but thanks to them and so many other staff members, our 30th Vowel renewal was everything ❤️ thank you so very much for the way you all do your jobs it truly made us love this resort.

This was my first visit to the Dominican Republic! My stay at Dreams Royal Beach was fantastic! The service was outstanding -they waited on me hand and foot and always with a smile! The food was incredibly delicious and what a wide variety! From the café which offered breakfast lunch and dinner to the restaurants scattered around the property I don’t have one complaint! I do have to go on a diet however I’m coming home because everything was too hard to resist! They have plenty for kids and adults to eat and to do! My favorite part was the lazy river that meandered the property and took me right back to where I started. I recommend this all inclusive resort for anyone!

I just returned from my vacation at DREAMS ROYAL BEACH. My favorite parts of the resort included the beach, the pools, and the beautifully manicured grounds. I also loved the E team! Tony, Brownie, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. I especially loved the dance fitness classes that were offered on the beach each day of my stay. The evening entertainment was also a plus. Food options were plentiful, and our room was large. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to families with kids as well, as well as young adults.

Even tho we had a couple of rainy days here, it truly was an amazing experience. From the food to the pools, rooms, activities, entertainment & service!! Especially the waitstaff, they made our stay amazing. If i could have Dolores at every all inclusive, i would! From day one she was nice and helpful to me, my husband & our baby girl. Thank you Dolores for being the best!

Okay, I am Going to be as transparent as possible. I am literally heading to the airport back to civilization. The resort is beautiful. To get around was also made easy as they have golf carts that would kindly take you anywhere within limits in the resort. The rooms are very gorgeous. However some of the upholstery was not cleaned properly. I have pictures which I Will attach when I’m State side. The customer service and room up keep while staying there was consistently done without fail. This was a nice touch as sometimes you have to ask for this kind of service. The food is where it gets a bit complicated. Now the restaurants are solid but a lot of the food was not warm, especially in the buffet which was a shock. Hot food always wins the soul and when it’s room temperature or even in some cases cool it’s not good. I also felt they should have a Spanish restaurant dedicated to the culture of Dominican Republic and they need to better of changing up buffet menu items. This is a big warning to all new travelers. I was considered a preferred member with my ties to Hyatt and Hilton. When you arrive, you will be asked to participate in a TIMESHARE PRESENTATION. This was very unexpected and kind of annoying. You already spent thousands of dollars to attend the resort and you are now asked to spend more. In my opinion this should be removed completely. When we said no, we were asked to only answer 4 questions which will help The salesman commission. This was not the case and when my wife finally sternly refused the attitudes were present. THIS IS VACATION and no one should be forced to take part in something especially when it involves spending more money for something not worth it. The customer in total was 5 star. That is a non debate. I will give the resort a 3.5 star. They need to get HOT FOOD, better menu items remove the time Share trap and let people who work hard for thier money enjoy it without pressure.

Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana is a modern all-inclusive resort located on the beachfront, offering a pool with a lazy river and five restaurants. It's an ideal choice for those seeking a fully refurbished hotel with spacious rooms, beautiful nature, and various wildlife at an affordable price.
I recently stayed at Secrets Royal Beach as a solo traveler, and while I was a little nervous at first, the staff immediately made me feel at ease. Everyone was so warm and welcoming that I never once felt out of place traveling alone. The restaurants were good – I especially enjoyed Bordeaux for its elegant dining experience and Himitsu, which had a great show from the Chef’s cooking in front of you. There were plenty of options to choose from, so I never got bored with the food. The entertainment team was outstanding. They not only kept me entertained but also made sure I had company throughout the trip. There were great shows every evening and tons of activities during the day, from water aerobics to dance lessons. A huge shoutout to Francis, Nova, J Low, Jorgi, Flower and Junior for going above and beyond to make my stay so much fun! During my visit, there were some issues with sargassum on the beach, but the hotel worked hard to clear it daily, and I really appreciated their effort to keep the area as beautiful as possible. The rooms were a little dated compared to some newer resorts, but they were kept very clean and comfortable, which is what really mattered.

We arrived to a warm welcome by friendly and attentive staff. Check in was easy but we did have an immediate attempt of an upsell for ‘preferred’ which wasn’t very welcoming, we didn’t go for it, it is very expensive and after our experience without it, not worth it! The room was ok, not quite like the photos and not all that clean with a few broken things. Apart from this the experience was amazing! The staff were always helpful, cleaning the room, topping things up before we had even realised they were gone and keeping us entertained. The location and beach were great! Although would prefer to not have people trying to sell us things on the beach they quickly get to know you and leave you be to relax. We never got bored or hungry as the food was great with a big variety! Cocktails were hot and miss but if you don’t like, it’s freeee, get a different one! Will be returning! Also… DONT MISS THE DREAMS HOTEL. You have access to its pools and water slides, as well as the great ecological park out the front, which isn’t explained to well when you check in

I visited here for one week with my family. The trip was generally nice, service on the whole was decent- food adequate. On our last day as we were leaving my Mum had realised that her diamond rings were missing. They had been left in a jewellery box at the bottom of her suitcase throughout the trip, never left the room. Security went through all of her belongings and reassured, checked the room a few times over which I do appreciate- they did their job. But they did not once acknowledge that their own staff could have stolen it by saying ‘our staff have been told not to take things’. I’ve read other reviews now on trip advisor now and in hindsight have seen plenty of other travellers have had their jewellery and cash stolen from this hotel. I have even seen that this seems to be happening on the last day that people are leaving so that there is no time to call police as we need to board a flight. Similar to others we were given a waiver to sign to say we chose not to call the police but we refused to sign this. Again, similar to others, the staff also at one point tried to accuse the rest of my family for the theft. This is 5 star resort and I cant believe the level of service has culminated into this. I have stayed in many other hotels across the world and have never had an incident such as this. DO NOT GO HERE

This resort did not disappoint. Grounds were well maintained and was absolutely beautifully landscaped. Rooms were clean, updated, and spacious. So many pool options with plenty of lounge chairs for guest. Food could use a little more seasoning, but I'm sure they are just looking out for everyone's taste buds. The best restaurants Blue Water Grill for their steak and lobster. Himitsu has awesome Shui and the Hibanchi was a huge hit! The best thing about our trip was our Butler, Dayanara! She met with our group of 8 everyday with a big smile. She was very professional and made certain we ALL had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. She deserves a "10"
Annette N — Google review
I feel guilty giving a 4/5 star rating because overall we had the best time at Secrets as it was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were well kept, staff were all wonderful, and the food was the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. The main complaint that I have though was the Preferred Club that we paid additional for. On check in day, it took us over an hour and a half to be taken to our room even though we arrived at the check in time. This was a little frustrating as it was already a long day of traveling. Paying extra for Preferred, we were assigned a butler which we were so excited about! He honestly ended up being the one big disappointment of this vacation though. All he did every morning was text us the daily resort schedule- which we would access online anyway. Whenever we had a question he was unresponsive or stated that he didn't understand what we were asking (I get that a language barrier may exist but 1. he shouldn't have the butler job and 2. he should ask someone else what we were asking). All trip we saw everyone with these Secrets burlap bags- they were super nice to take to the beach. We started seeing them so much though that we knew not everyone bought them and they must have received it as a gift. So on the next to last day of our trip we asked our butler how we get one and he responded "Oh you didn't get one?" Shouldn't he be the one to know that? Not the biggest deal but when you are spending extra money, one would hope that service is top notch. The icing on the cake though was my fiance and I ended up getting engaged on the first night of our trip. We happened to see out butler the next day in the lobby and told him. He understood what we said because he said "Congratulations." We were expecting maybe another bottle of champagne, a sign on our door (as there were a lot of doors with signs), or maybe some flowers in the room- honestly anything. We did not receive one thing on the trip in honor or our engagement. I'm not asking for much or want to seem entitled to anything but we thought that being Preferred our engagement would at least be acknowledged to make the trip even more special. A few days into our trip my fiance even asked if we could get a little something extra for the room for our engagement (he would even pay), to which our butler responded "what do you mean?" We were disappointed as even in the pool areas we saw guests having their butlers bring them bottles, etc. ours was MIA the whole week. So much so that we heard another couple in the pool frustratingly saying how they "have the worst butler." It ends up that we spoke to the couple and it ends up we had the same butler. It's a shame because we loved everything else about the resort but our Preferred club money was not well spent at all.

Second time. It's the BEST! We stayed here for our second time (if that doesn't say enough) as a family of four. Even though the weather was affected due to H. Melissa, we had a blast. Delores from the lobby bar is amazing. Lucia. Oh Lucia! We love you!!! David from the infinity pool. What a guy!! Jose from pool bar at beach. What a gem! the WHOLE entertainment team. Mr. Fantastic. Baby Face. Tarzan. The whole gang of ladies. Juan from the breakfast and lunch buffet! Ernesto from supper buffet. The food! Who complains about good food??? Anyway. We will be back again. 100%

We had an incredible time at Serenade All Suites! The resort itself is beautiful, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was Shark. He was hands down the most entertaining and energetic person at the resort. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everyone was having fun — whether it was during pool games, evening shows, or just chatting and joking around throughout the day. Shark has such a great personality and genuine passion for making guests feel welcome. He brought so much life and laughter to our vacation and really made our trip the best it could’ve been. Serenade All Suites is lucky to have him! Thanks for a great stay!

We had an amazing stay at Serenade All Suites Punta Cana! The resort is stunning, the rooms are modern and spotless, the pools are beautiful, and the food was fantastic across all the restaurants. The staff really make the experience though, everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special mention to Shark from the entertainment team, he absolutely made our trip! Always full of energy, fun, and genuinely cared that everyone was having a great time. Whether it was poolside games, evening shows, or just chatting with guests, Shark brought the place to life. Can’t recommend Serenade All Suites enough

Would highly recommend staying at the Serenade Adults Only when visiting Punta Cana. It was extremely safe, friendly staff and super spacious rooms. The ocean views were also amazing as we had a balcony view. They also had great entertainment - Chola is so lively and inclusive. She really made my friend and I feel comfortable and was very hospitable. Her energy was also immaculate! Will definitely be coming back🥰

Five stars is not enough for this resort. They went above and beyond to make my daughter's b day and our stay amazing. Luxury and beyond from the beautiful rooms, breath taking views and the top notch food. The entertainment was unforgettable and the staff omg the staff was the absolute best part of the entire stay! Can't wait to come back!!!!! Peel was our absolute favorite! Thanks for dancing with us!!! April and Megan

The resort was great. Some feedback ; Not sure if it was situational or a known issue but the entire weeks stay, the washrooms at the pool bar had sewer gas smells so bad I would walk to the lobby to the washrooms there. Our room fridge and snack refresh only happened about half the time but we could easily get snacks and drinks in the lobby bar and coffee shop. We stayed on the adult side but having access to the family side added options and activities.

Shark , Chola and Jefry from entertainment team made it an amazing time !!!! Food gets repetitive as it does with all all- inclusive resort but all the restaurants were good ! We did go off the resort a few times to switch up the food. The drinks were great! And bartenders were fun and nice. Go to koi sushi and the steakhouse for sure. 10/10z You’re allowed to make one reservation per day so other than that just go to the buffet at breakfast or dinner. Las palapas is open during lunch Tipping obviously makes people nicer so remember that lol

I love the amenities at the hotel. I came on a solo trip to relax and it was a very nice and clean environment. The entertainment during the day was fun and at night. The entertainer during the day, Chola😘🥰🥰, was fun and vibrant and made sure everyone had a good time. Thanks for an amazing stay!

So good hotel, and the service is very good, the entertainment is very fun and if you win, then you win some rum😍. Shark and chola are very nice and sweet, and very fun! They bring the energy high and puts a great smile on me and my boyfriends face. But we had some trouble with the room. The hairdryer doesn’t work, there was a pool of water under the toielt and under the sink every day 24/7 and the mirror light didn’t work, we complained about it 3 times and they havent fixed it yet and it has been 3 days now☹️ it’s a bit a disapoinment but i am having a fun time and relaxing so it’s all worth it in the end☺️

We spent a week at “Dreams” Hyatt Resorts. For the entire week a massive digger operated in the beach moving very close to clients and making it impossible to swim in the sea. Management refused to acknowledge how crashing for clients who have flown thousands of miles and paid thousands of dollars to spend a relaxing week on a Caribbean beach and sea.

Accommodations at this hotel was gifted to my husband and I for our wedding. We were under the group of "Preferred Guests" mind you the difference is little to none as compared to other Guests. However that wasn't too much of a problem. They were told we were on our honeymoon, our bed wasn't even enhanced romantically to suit the occasion. The bathroom door was broken. There were tiny roaches on our face sink. The sheets were dusty and left me searching for allergy tablets. Our safe had to be broken because the code stopped working, (another guest also related the same problem to us.) Some of the workers acted very racist towards us. There were no pool warmers therefore the water was almost ice cold and couldn't be enjoyed. No bands were given to differentiate hotel guests from random persons walking along the beach. Altogether we barely enjoyed our honeymoon, therefore we would never be using this hotel brand as a vacation choice.
