Cabaret club
Rojo Tango Show is a renowned and award-winning venue in Buenos Aires, located within the luxurious Faena Art Hotel. The show offers an intimate and lavish theater experience where professional tango dancers showcase the art of tango through the ages. Guests have the option to enjoy a pre-show dinner featuring gourmet Argentinian cuisine before being mesmerized by the captivating performances.
Don’t waste your time or money on any other tango shows in town. Rojo Tango offers an exclusive and VIP experience that stands out as the best in Buenos Aires. We made our reservations through the Hilton concierge, and the process was seamless. The performances are mesmerizing, with exceptional choreography and talent. The intimate setting adds a luxurious touch, making you feel like part of something truly special. While it’s a bit pricey, the quality of the show and the overall experience make it absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for an unforgettable tango night, this is the place to be.

Rojo Tango located in the achingly stylish Faena Hotel is a beautifully produced show in an intimate, elegant setting. The dancers are talented, the live music is excellent, and the overall experience feels polished and professional. It’s a great way to enjoy a classic part of Argentine culture in a stylish venue. Definitely worth seeing while in Buenos Aires. Why not combine with a private Tango lesson beforehand it was great fun and you will never forget those 8 steps.

This is a fantastic show. The whole evening is very well organised from hotel pick up to drop off. The dinner is very good and the wine is good and constantly topped up. However the best part of the dancing. The entertainers and first class professionals. It is quite expensive but when you see the dancers you will appreciate why and it is worth every penny

SEXIEST TANGO SHOW IN BA--MUST SEE We had heard about this Tango show from both our hotel concierge as well as the write up in Lonely Planet Guide so we were very curious if it would love up to the hype. We chose to go with the Dinner & Show option and are so glad we did. The choices were top notch and the food was delicious! Dinner included wine and other beverages with only gratuity being up to guests to leave after the show. The service was great with smiling and super efficient staff that gave us plenty of time to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed (730pm-910pm) and the show starting promptly at 915pm. It is an intimate cozy space with the band on a raised dais and the 100 people spread throughout space between band and stage at the front. By far and large the BEST entertaining couple were the 2 "more senior" parts of the dance troupe. The man stole the show and exuded such JOY you could not get into the dances and music. The other 12 dancers were superb as well it was just this man danced with so much passion and sheet joy he blew everyone else away. A MUST SEE AND DO WHILE IN BUENOS AIRES!!!!!
Maui _ — Google review
A tourist trap with a way overpriced show. They say you get a flat rate on drinks, but there is only one refill during the show. It might make more sense to have a nice dinner and afterwards go to a better show without big tourist groups. Also, they sell for 400 Euros tables in the back, where you can not even see the full show. Disappointing. :(
Jakob F — Google review
I was quite disappointed, especially considering how expensive the ticket was. The service was very poor , our glasses were left empty most of the time, and even though we had a reservation, we were made to wait at the entrance. The show itself is nice, but the table arrangement made it hard to see properly. Overall, it’s not worth the money.
Alexandra F — Google review
Absolutely STUNNING show, appx $100-150/ per person for just show and (unlimited) wine. We skipped the dinner portion, which adds a bit more to the price. One of the most expensive tango shows in the city, but such an experience with live music, singing, and stunning dancing. Located in the Faena hotel, the pricing with show includes hotel pickup/dropoff
Jenna R — Google review
The premier tango show in BA. Excellent food and atmosphere, sexy and beautifully performed tango with a great band. Expensive but you get what you pay for. The performance surrounds you so most seats are good. A special experience in BA! Recommend.

Café de los Angelitos is a historic café in the Congreso neighborhood of Buenos Aires, established in 1890. It has been a gathering place for poets, musicians, and folk singers as well as less savory characters. The café is renowned for its tango shows and has hosted famous artists like Carlos Gardel. Located near the National Congress of Argentina, it offers an ornate dining hall where visitors can enjoy Argentine cuisine and local wine while being entertained by nightly tango performances.
An absolutely amazing dining experience at Café de Los Angelitos! From start to finish, everything was perfect. We went with dinner option, and it was sooooooo worth it! Food was really good. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the night. The shuttle service made getting there easy and stress-free. And the tango show? Simply spectacular! The dancers, music, and overall atmosphere created a truly unforgettable evening. If you’re looking for an authentic Buenos Aires experience, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

The tango show and dinner exceeded my expectations. The building is an exceptional example of an early 20th century theatre architecture that has been modernized to meet todays artistic requirements. The food was tasty, filling and very satisfying with VERY large portions. The tango dancers performed multiple acts for over an hour and the live music provided by the 5-piece band was outstanding.
Ross M — Google review
A hidden gem in Once. I enjoy walking around the Once area, and this café stood out as an underrated spot. It also hosts tango shows, though it's worth checking the schedule in advance to see which days they’re held. I had a slice of cake and a coffee. As is common in much of Buenos Aires, the coffee was below average — but the cake was delicious and clearly made with quality ingredients. The restrooms were spotless, and the overall environment is very family-friendly. It’s a pleasant place to sit, relax, and take in the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Öner B — Google review
Came here for the tango show with dinner option. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The architecture of the building is beautiful, from the cafe entrance, to the theatre at the back. All tables had a great view of the stage and were well spaced. The food was good but the portion sizes were far too large, so therefore wasteful. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The dancing and music were exceptional. A truly excellent evening.
David S — Google review
A fantastic experience from start to finish. The show was genuinely impressive, with talented dancers and musicians who delivered a performance that felt polished and full of energy. The atmosphere inside is warm, classic, and far more elegant than I expected. You can tell a lot of care went into keeping the place feeling historic without letting it become dated. The food was another surprise. Dinner-and-show venues usually phone it in, but everything we had was well-prepared and actually enjoyable. The dessert was especially good. I walked in expecting something made for tourists and ended up loving the entire night. Great show, great food, great setting. Absolutely worth it.

Just watched a most entertaining and absorbing tango performance at Cafe De Los Angelitos. The performers were true professionals, full of poise, passion, precision and flair. The accompanying orchestra was great and so were the 2 singers of the evening. The venue itself was in a beautiful old vintage building, but I found the food to be quite average, although my husband did enjoy his steak. I would highly recommend the tango show though, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Excellent place to see a great tango show. Food was okay but could be better but the show was so good it made up for that part. Staff were friendly and attentive, very well maintained building.

Tango Hotel de Mayo staff (Franco) says: "It's the best tango show in town, best dinner as well." So we booked it, paid $100pp, included pickup/delivery by Diego. Evelyn (reception) seated us on an end table. Macarena & crew graciously served us drinks (Portillo white/malbec, bottled water); dinner: corn soup/salmon tartare; Argentine angus beef steak (big, succulent); and caramel tart/merengue. The two-hour tango show was outstanding: Five young pairs (30s) showed technical excellence and a mature pair (45s) who exuded romantic passion. Music by a powerful-voiced chanteuse and an operatic singer; and a 5-pc band: piano (he played all pieces), accordion (his solo elicited a loud ovation by the crowd of 200), guitar, violin cello and a violinist (her solo was well-applauded). The ensemble's rendition of MJ's Billy Jean was the highlight of the evening.

Immerse yourself in the traditional tango culture of Buenos Aires at El Querandi - Cena Tango Show. Located in the historic San Telmo neighborhood, this intimate venue offers an authentic experience with its elegant, dark wood–lined surroundings and a cozy setting that allows for a personal connection with the performers.
You do NOT want to miss El Querandí Tango Show on your next visit to Buenos Aires. Everything about the experience is designed to give you the very best Buenos Aires has to offer in terms of tango shows. The building exists since 1860 and is considered a a piece of Argentine cultural heritage for its instrumental place in the history of the development of tango. The decor is an authentic representation of the 1920s in Buenos Aires with a large, dark, ornate cedar bar, panels covering the walls, and a welcoming archway at the entrance as well as beautiful black and white checkered floor tiles. Reservations are required for the dinner and tango show. The dinner portion of the evening begins at 8:30 PM. The menu includes 3 courses with a solid selection of Argentine dishes as well as a few Italian dishes. We all chose empanadas for our appetizer. The dish included one chicken and one beef empanada, both stuffings well prepared in their respective broths. As a second course, we opted for bife de chorizo (sirloin steak) with steamed vegetables on the side. The steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely chimichrri sauce to garnish it. Many of the desert options featured Argentina’s famous dulce de leche (caramelized milk jam), including the crepe I selected. Another interesting dessert option was the so-called “vigilante,” which features slices of jelly-like fruit paste and soft cheese to break it up. A bottle of the house red wine, the San Telmo Malbec, was included with our package. The restaurant was completely full, with a fantastic comunal atmosphere, brought on by large, shared tables and the proximity between tables. The waiters provided excellent service, circling frequently to assist customers. The tango show was absolutely spectacular, spanning the very beginnings of tango music and dance at the end of the 19th century all the way through modernism in the genre beginning in the 1950s and going onward. The musicians and dancers were very professional, displaying a high level of skill in their respective crafts. The dancers switched costumes many times throughout the show to showcase the fashion of the time they were representing. The dancers also displayed an exquisite level of dynamism and acrobatics in bringing to life the various stages of tango’s development. They also extended the performance to include the floor between tables and the bar, which allowed customers to really feel integrated into the fabric of the performance. The band featured a pianist, a bass player, an accordionist and a viola player, who kept the show moving with the changing moods of tango music decade to decade. The show also featured two singers, a male singer who passionately brought to life various tango songs à la Gardel and a female singer who put a bit of a modern twist on classic tango pieces. The show was exciting and engaging from beginning to end. I would recommend this experience to all!
Michele D — Google review
Perfect show, the dancers were so professional… amazing! The musicians also were very talented/professionals. The food was pretty good too: the steak was tasty, tender, smelly, and the dessert amazing as well. I didn’t like the salad because they spilled oil, it wasn’t healthy, I prefer salads only with vinegar.
Isadora A — Google review
The history of the tango was fascinating. They disappeared when the wine ran out though. Unlimited is a misnomer. I also saw them pouring the unfinished bottles of wine back into the bottles after they thought all the guests had left. It is a shame because the show was amazing.
Andrew B — Google review
We had such a lovely and Romantic date night ! You are immersed into a Tango dance show with live music and beautiful lightning atmosphere. It was lovely to see the choreographies incorporate the unusual triangular shaped stage with a beam in the front. The dancers are very creative. The costumes are beautiful ❤️ We did not chose a 3 course meal, but we did order off a finger food platter and a champagne off the menu. It was more than enough for us and actually we couldn't finish everything, so it is easily enough for 3-4 people ! The waiter was fantastic and kept a close eye on our glasses to refill them as soon as they were getting low. I would recommend this show and dinner 100%
Irina K — Google review
We were picked up in our Hotel at Recoleta. Arrived at the venue, greeted and taken to our table. Dinner and wine was excellent. Show was a plus! Then we were transported back to our Hotel. Would definitely recommend. We had the VIP dinner package, not cheap- but 1st row seating and premium wines and food.
Rafael G — Google review
A well-executed tango dinner experience with a couple of small hiccups. We booked through a third-party tour (Signature Tours) and were told to arrive at 7:45. In reality, the dinner service doesn’t start until 8 p.m. and runs until about 10, so there’s no need to rush—arriving any time before 9 is fine if you want the full meal. At around 10, the lights go down and the tango show begins, lasting about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The show itself was excellent—professional, well-organized, and easy to enjoy from any seat. The food was solid. I started with a charcuterie board, had a local steak for the main, and finished with a crepe filled with dulce de leche. The filling was delicious, though the caramelized topping wasn’t quite to my taste. My brother and dad also enjoyed their meals. A unique touch: because my brother’s reservation profile was in French, we were given French menus and the servers spoke French with us. It was a thoughtful detail and made the evening feel more personal. The only downside was the gap between finishing dinner (around 9) and the start of the show (10). There’s not much to do in that hour, and the way tipping was handled was a bit awkward—a server placed a check presenter on our table with a verbal reminder that tips weren’t included. A simple printed note or discreet message would feel more professional. Overall, El Querandí delivers on the classic Buenos Aires tango dinner show experience. Go for the performance, enjoy the meal, and just know in advance that gratuity isn’t included.
Gille — Google review
A very well crafted Tango Show that takes you through the entire History of Tango. Since it’s inception at the end of the Nineteenth century until the late fifties. The stenography, the musicians and the dancers are very good and the atmosphere recreates the time. The only complaint is that the staff starts to dismantle the tables, glassware and cutlery before the show ends and that’s annoying and kills the momentum. Also the place where you’re sitting makes a whole difference try to get a place in the main saloon not in the right wing…
Javier G — Google review
The show was not as good as I expected, but it is still worth watching as it is one of the best cultural attractions in Buenos Aires and Argentina!

Piazzolla Tango is a must-visit destination for an unforgettable experience. Housed in the historic Guemes Gallery, an architectural marvel designed by Italian architect Francesco Gianotti in 1913, it offers more than just a tango show. The theater, carefully restored in French style, features a luxurious salon and perfect acoustics for an unforgettable night.
Amazing argentinian tango experience. Its a good price that's why don't expect best quality of steak or culinary miracle, but interior is marvelous and all actors are charming and professional. You will not forget this evening!
Olga A — Google review
Our experience started strangely because we arrived 15 minutes early and were told that the dance class we paid for with our ticket was over and we're told to go sit and wait for dinner. The food is fairly good, far from the best steak I tried in Argentina but a fair one. The portions were copious. The show itself is amazing, 5 stars for this parts. I couldn't stop smiling watching the dancers.
Laurent H — Google review
Fantastic show… but we missed half of it because they gave us the incorrect start time. We booked the show with drinks only which on their website said started at 10pm. We arrived by 9:50 as we were only having dinner around the corner and when we walked in the performance was already going on. The waiters were attentive and helpful but it took a while to get into it because we thought we were late and a little bit stressed sitting down. Turns out after speaking to other guests after the show that they too came just for the show with drinks (and not dinner) and arrived very early (9:30) to be told that they could get in early as they were starting the show and they began by 9:40. We were really disappointed as it was such a good show but we missed so much of it and really didn’t get our moneys worth. We would have really appreciated more information on the start time as this is not clear on their website and the communication beforehand does not state a start time at all.
Nicole W — Google review
This very polished, professional dinner theater exceeded my expectations. Great music and dance. Excellent in every way. The dance class was fairly simple but fun. Music and dance were exceptional.
Steve B — Google review
Poor customer service. One star is for the talented performers. Nothing else is good. My friend and I booked the tango show only which starts at 10 p.m. since I read too many bad reviews about the food. We got there by 8 p.m. and asked if we can request good seats. The man at the box office told us there are no bad seats. So we went somewhere else to eat. When we returned at 9:45 p.m., we were led to our seats. It was the very last table and farthest from the stage. As soon as we got seated, they plopped down the wine menu and food menu. My friend tried to explain to the ushers and waiters that I have poor eyesight and we would like to be seated in the empty tables in front of us. They all say noted us. I realized now that they put us in the worst seats because we booked through a third party travel site. The show lasted for an hour and each performance was accompanied by some video with bright lights flashing on a background screen so it was very hard to see the performance. The music was also very loud my friend and I ended up with a headache halfway through the show. I have honestly never been to a show where I wanted to get up and leave before it was over.

We booked the VIP dinner + show to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The short tango class was fun and the show was great. Great musicians and dancers. Unfortunately the dinner was very disappointing. DEFINITELY not worth the price. The steaks were tough. The sparkling wine was served at the end instead of upon arrival. Our first dish was served as we were called for the tango lesson so it was cold when we came back to the table. No coffee was proposed at the end but we were pushed to buy our photo....
Christine R — Google review
This was a fantastic show but I would only suggest buying tickets just for the show as the food was not very desirable. The steak was hard and they did not have the panna cotta that was listed on the menu. I was disappointed about that as I do not like chocolate. The wine was good and helped as I couldn't eat anything. They did not even ask if I wanted something different. I asked for tea, and the server never came back with it. I only gave it 3 stars as the show with the dancers was great.

This intimate venue, housed in a charmingly refurbished tenement building, showcases an impressive lineup featuring the renowned Juan D'Arienzo orchestra alongside two talented tango singers and eight skilled dancers. (Translated by Google) The curtains are nice but my experience with this place was not good. When they gave me the quote for curtains for the room, they indicated a delay of approximately 25 days. On the 35th, without having any news, I had to contact them to see when they were coming. "We'll let you know on Friday." I had to contact them again since arriving on Friday at 6:00 p.m. there was still no news. Finally, when they came to install the curtains, the measurements were all wrong. They didn't work and they had to be made again. I called the owner, Marina, to whom I told all this and she told me "people don't comply with me, everything is very complicated, we can all make mistakes." I ask him to return the money to which he responds that « of course not; I'll see how I fix it for you. The next day he called me to apologize, which had not happened at the time of my call, and a week later they finally came to install the correct curtains. In total, there were approximately 50 days of delay (double what was indicated in the initial budget). Again, the curtains are nice but my experience was not good because, as I told the owner, it was not just the delay but the complete lack of communication on the part of the business, which did not bother to contact me at all. moment to notify that there would be a delay, limiting themselves to answering when I called them to have news (the deadlines had already expired). I had given them one star in my initial comment, but I am adding another star for having solved the problem appropriately and because the curtains turned out very well.

They know what they are doing and they love it. Years later I returned thinking that I had to change some curtains that had been torn by the sun and they found a way to save them, since it was an embroidered fabric that is no longer imported. I highly recommend them! Tango Porteño is a renowned tango theater housed in a converted Art Deco cinema, offering an upscale dining experience. Located on Avenida 9 de Julio, it showcases the authentic Argentine tango with over 30 artists on stage. While Susana Miller may not teach all classes at Club El Beso, it remains a popular spot for tango enthusiasts to learn and practice their skills.
A must when visiting Buenos Aires. Beautiful art deco theatre and incredible Tango show! We were so impressed by the dancers, the amazing live band and the beautiful setting. They offer various seating options including with dinner or show only. We bought our tickets in the afternoon at the ticket booth and opted in for the show only option. Got there about an hour before the show started to ensure we had a good spot. Next time we will try with dinner because it looked delicious.

This place was such a unique experience. Really felt like a good representation of the Argentine culture in Buenos Aires. The show was fun. The empanadas were not bad and they had all you can drink for their beverages. They had a dinner option, but we decided to just do the drink option, which was great for us. The show was about an hour and a half long. The area was in the heart of Buenos Aires and was fun to hang out there. All and all was a fun experience and I plan on taking my wife there when we come to Buenos Aires again.

Tango show is a must. We booked show only, and they gave us empanadas as a little treat on arrival. They were amazing. The tango show was amazing, the choreography, the technique of the dancers. Everything was amazing. It is a must to go see when in Argentina

Tango show was nice! it is big production, if you prefer intimate tango shows, you will need to go elsewhere! food is not so good, onion creamy soup was ok! but the steak is hard!

Avoid this show. The dancing was very bad, dancers were not synchronized at all and in general the show was boring. The only good part of the performance was the orchestra that was great. Unfortunately, this is not even the worst part. We paid for just the show so they stuffed us in the second floor on cheap uncomfortable seats with a horrible view because there is a guardrail the blocks out most of the stage (can be seen in the attached photo). This made it impossible to see anything without leaning forward to see over the guardrail. Overall the show felt more like a high school production but at full price. There are many other tango shows in Buenos Aires that may be a little more expensive but are probably worth it. EDIT: their reply basically says either pay for an overpriced meal (you can get 2 steaks in a luxury restaurant for the price of their meal) or get a seat with an abhorrent view. Spend your money on a place that respects their customers and doesn’t try to gauge them with shady practices.

What an amazing experience! The dancers, singers, musicians, everyone was amazing! I spent a lot of time researching which tango show to go to and I'm very glad we picked this one. The food was good. The service was 5 star. My drink was never empty. Tip: if you don't get the dinner, you won't have as good of seats. The seats for those tickets without dinner are in the back. The only note for improvement would be the photographer they have coming around bugging every single table. We were just served our hot soup and as it was around 9pm, I just wanted to eat cuz im not accustomed to such a late dinner. The photographer was very direct and did not take no for an answer when we tried to tell her we didn't want pictures. They have specific poses to do with the dancers as well and I tried to decline politely, but she wasn't having it. I know you're trying to make extra money and all, but I just wanted to enjoy my dinner and eat my soup while it's hot. Please take no as an answer to that question in the future.

Señor Tango is a renowned tango house in Buenos Aires, offering an unforgettable experience of Argentine cuisine, wine, and a captivating tango show. As one of the most important tango houses in the city, it stands out among others such as La Ventana, El Viejo Almacen, and Cafe de los Angelitos. The multi-level venue provides a grand setting for guests to immerse themselves in the dramatic performance while savoring delicious food and wine.
The tango show was a wonderful experience full of passion, energy, and elegance. The dancers were incredibly talented and performed with such emotion that it truly captured the spirit of Buenos Aires. The live music was excellent and added even more authenticity to the night. The atmosphere was intimate and well-organized, making it easy to enjoy every moment of the performance. It’s a great option for anyone visiting the city and wanting to experience traditional Argentine culture in a beautiful way. Definitely worth it!

We opted for the show only, so we didn’t have any food here. The venue is large, with multiple floors and a great layout. It seems like every seat offers a good view of the stage. Overall, the show was fun, with many talented dancers, and the stage was beautiful. The downside was the drinks—they were just okay. I wish their cocktails were better.

One of the best shows I’ve seen. Amazing talent all around. The dancing, singing, playing was top class. These are all professional in their trade who are proud of showcasing their culture and country through tango. You don’t need to like tango to appreciate and be entertained by this level of talent. The food was ok, nothing amazing but more than just good. Our server. Jorge, reminded us of old school servers: cordial, respectful and super attentive. He also made the night feel special. This is a must do in Buenos Aires.

The show was good so recommend book show only!! Do not bother with food and transfers! We were seated on a table with 2 other couples, strange having dinner with people you don’t know and don’t speak the same language! The food was below par and over priced and the transfers took way too long to drop off.. a 15 minutes journey took over an hour and a half and late at night when your tired that is the last thing you want. Wish we had got a taxi!!!

This is perhaps the best tango shoe in Buenos Aires! This has multiple pre-set dinner packages. Show is really great and entertaining so no doubt about that. Executive Dinner comes with a starter, main course (option of steak, chicken, fish or pasta) and dessert. A bottle of wine and two smart water included for two. Show starts at aunt 10pm and takes two amazing hours. You may also just go for the show and drink! Usually there will be a long line, so recommend to be there a bit earlier than your reservation. Highly recommending!

The Senior Tango is an amazing restaurant and tango show in Buenos Aires. The experience is absolutely impressive, with excellent service, delicious dishes, and captivating tango performances. The staff is friendly and provides outstanding service, while the atmosphere is enchanting. The dancers' performances are stunning and moving, offering an authentic tango experience. The restaurant is ideal for romantic dinners and unforgettable nights. Overall, the Senior Tango definitely deserves the 5-star rating for its exceptional quality and memorable experience it provides.

You want beautiful tango? See, Señor. We had come here on the recommendation of Argentinian based family as one of the best shows in Buenos Aires. It certainly puts on a show! We opted for the show only as we had dinner plans elsewhere and glad we did. The seats which seemed up be reserved for show guests were nothing short of excellent. Right in the middle, right over the stage! The show is great, there dancers electric with enough Showtime flair to keep everyone entertained. It lags in the middle a bit with so many numbers belted out by the Señor himself, but the dancers and dancing is definitely worth it. A winner in our books! 🤩 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Madero Tango is a spacious venue in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, offering a dinner with authentic Argentinian cuisine accompanied by captivating tango and musical performances. The venue also provides the option to learn tango steps with a show package that includes a dance lesson prior to the performance. The space is adorned in classic European design with modern elements, featuring red, white, and dark wood decor along with quirky unicorn decorations and beautiful chandeliers in Bistro Sur.
Great show, good food, well worth the price. Music was pretty loud, though. Could have used a flyer to explain what was happening in the show. I speak Spanish, but it was really hard to make out much of the dialogue and unless you were in front of the stage you couldn’t see what was projected on the screen. The dancers were spectacular. Food we had was exceptional. We used their transport which was a great deal for doorstep service.

I highly recommend seeing this show! Very impressive and the dinner included is very good. I appreciated the story telling of tango. All the artists from the live musicians to the dancers are all extremely talented and professional.
Gabrielle P — Google review
Although the show is good and tells a tale with life music, skilled singing and dancing, the Tango Madero organization compromises the quality of the overall experience by packing the place as a can of sardines. We bought the “executive” package for 100 $ per person and were initially seated on the side of the stage on a round table sized for 4, but crowded with 6 and would have been with our backs to the show. I rejected the places and was only relocated to a bigger table when I threatened to leave and asked for a refund. Still the new seating place was too narrowly set up, so that the waiters had to rub their butts against my back all the time to get through the tables and serve. The meat (Bondiola) of my main course was dry like a shoe sole, which should be a crime in Argentina. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

I need to write a little more to describe this event, as there is catering on one side and a show on the other. Then there is the organization. The location is in a wonderful spot, right by the river, which is perfect for taking photos. The venue is filled with tables and chairs so that as many people as possible can fit in. This means that it's difficult to move around and it's very noisy. As it's a package price that includes food and the show, it's understandable from a financial point of view that the waiters don't bring the drinks that are included in the price very quickly. The first thing that strikes you as unpleasant is that there is no menu, or rather that you have to log in via a QR code on a page and register before you can see a menu. This is completely customer-unfriendly. The food is good, but really nothing special. The show is very good. It's more of a musical that takes you through the history of Argentina. The dancers, singers, and band were very good, and it was good entertainment. Since there is no star rating specifically for the show, I gave it one star more than I would have given for the food. I believe that sometimes less is more. This also applies to the number of guests here. However, the organizers tend to assume that people will only come once, so I don't think they place any importance on this. I'm sure there are shows in Buenos Aires where the whole package is better suited to making such an evening a more memorable experience.
Gingerfilm L — Google review
The entertainment is top notch. Definitely recommend. Although we did experience a bit of an obstructed view. Space was a bit tight. Well worth the price of admission. We did not eat dinner here. Service was less than desirable. It took us multiple attempts and about 30 minutes to order water for our table.

If you plan to visit Buenos Aires and this place is not first on your list then you planned wrong. The food, service and atmosphere was all fine so lets talk about the show. Oh my word one of the best things I have seen in a long time. Its not just about Tango it is about Argentina, her history and culture and yes also some amazing Tango routines. The show makes brilliant use of the stage and venue and also hase some technology incorporated. The dancers and singers are next level and you can feel their passion and commitment. Round it of with a great live band and you are in for an amazing emotional ride that will leave you standing on your feet at the ending clapping and screeming bravo. My compliments to all the performers you are truly amazing.

Dinner before the show was good. There were 6 ish options for the three courses. We had the steak - it was far too large to finish but was tasty. The soup was great and dessert delicious. Then the show started. Oh also endless wine beer and water - we had the VIP level tickets. Service was attentive and fast. The show was like a musical both singing and dancing of a story. Then it shifted to something more ‘modern’ - dancing with swinging ropes. The performance was around 90 minutes. Was good - the tango dancers were splendid and the modern dancing was very interesting. We were done after midnight - so go well rested!!!

Unacceptable experience in Madero Tango. Even with a reservation made and paid through the official website of the place, for an individual table, there was no table set up to receive us different from all the rest of the hall that was already set up, clearly the table was placed on the spot (we saw that moment) and we were still placed behind a pilaster, without vision of the show. When trying to solve this with the manager, he raised his voice, treated us rudely and even pushed the table improvisedly, blocking circulation. When other people arrived and had no way to pass between our table (but could go around to sit), we were pressured to get up from the table even though we said they could just go around to get seated - something totally absurd. Then, another manager appeared saying that "we were not entitled to an individual table", even with the ticket from the place itself proving the opposite. They tried to reverse the situation as if it was our fault. We were moved from table twice, again to bad position and behind pilasters. In the end, we had to basically separate and set up our own table to sit as the ticket determined. The table was still dirty and with the wine glass also in the same state, and it was necessary to clean the table on our own and request the exchange of the glass. The managers' service was disrespectful, disorganized, hostile and completely unprepared. Out last night in Buenos Aires, which was supposed to be special, was ruined. I don't recommend Madero Tango to anyone. It is unfortunate that a place that is said to be a reference treats customers in this way.

Classical Argentine tango restaurant El Viejo Almacén is known for its live shows and dinners that preserve the traditional culture of the dance. The dinner experience can be skipped, and guests attend the show instead. There are often hecklers during dinner, but they are outweighed by the positive aspects of this quintessential Buenos Aires spot.
Absolutely incredible experience at El Viejo Almacen. The staff were professional and attentive, the food was definitely worth it in terms of inclusion on the overall ticket and the Malbec wine served alongside the steak was very good. The venue was intimate, cosy and dimly lit which allowed the attention to be fully on the stage. The performers were incredible, their passion and elegance on the stage was something not to be missed. Overall we had a great tango experience and enjoyed how the seating arrangement allowed each customer to see the stage on a close, personal level rather than being in a large venue where your sat miles away.

The show was absolutely amazing! The entire experience at Viejo Almacén was vibrant, emotional, and deeply entertaining. From the live orchestra to the passionate dancers and powerful singers, every moment captured the true essence of Argentine tango. Wonderful show and great dancers, singers and musicians! The location is beautiful and very cozy and intimate! I highly recommend them for the quality of their show. Esquina Homero Manzi, located at the intersection of Avenida Boedo and Avenida, is a renowned cafe that holds a significant place in Buenos Aires' tango history. Once known as Canadian, it was immortalized by Homero Manzi in his famous tango song 'Sur.' Today, it stands as a classic porteno bar-restaurant with captivating tango shows in the evening.
I used to come here as a kid, now I am visiting my family and I took my mom for lunch. This restaurant is famous in this neighborhood since 1927. You can go back in time with Tango music, is a classic. Food is delicious! service is very friendly and kind. They offer Tango show with food included for $55,000 or $50 dollars. Unbelievable show. Amazing artists, dancers, musicians, singers !!! Waiter service was fantastic as well. I could suggest a bit better food, I was not wowed by it (steaks in more expensive menu) given that I am an Argentinian. This establishment targets tourists as it's a tad expensive for local cuisine. But again, show is worth the money. Try it once at least!

Aljibe Tango offers a traditional tango show in the heart of San Telmo, Buenos Aires. The early start time and central location make it convenient for those who prefer not to stay out too late. Guests can enjoy sipping wine or soft drinks during the show, with an option to upgrade for a pre-show dinner featuring Argentine cuisine. While some visitors enjoyed the delicious food and great service, others experienced slow service and below-average food quality.

Aljibe Tango was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The smoky scent at reception set a great atmosphere, and the staff all spoke English, which made things easy. We appreciated the hotel pickup and drop-off—it made the night stress-free. The food was delicious, and the wine was excellent with generous pours. The show was a real highlight of our trip. The performers’ passion for tango was clear and made it all the more engaging. Highly recommend.

The food and service were as you would expect from a kitchen servicing 350 people - pretty reasonable and efficient. The main disappointment was the quality of the show. Tango should be intense and dramatic with the dancers focused on each other not grinning inanely at the audience. Unfortunately I left wishing I hadn't bothered going 🙁

Pick up and drop off were great. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Wait staff worked hard. The show was amazing. A week later I'm ready to watch it again. Was worried the food would be sub par due to general recommendations that one doesn't go to a tango show for the food, but our party of 3 agreed that the food was great! It was nice to eat earlier and be back to the hotel with time to wind down before bed. I would definitely do this one again.
Marie T — Google review
The show was ok. There's a lot of filler, all in all you get about a full 15-20 min of actual tango dancing. The rest is the band filling in with music, a singer and a team of drummers who spin a kind of yoyo and stomp to a beat. It's entertaining, it's an hour, we didn't eat but the food looks good plus with just the show you get a bottle of wine if you're 2, so for $65 it's alright.... I want disappointed but was definitely expecting more.

Dance hall
Dance school
El Beso - La Casa de la Milonga Permanente is a popular spot in Buenos Aires for tango enthusiasts. It hosts themed events almost every night, with the infamous Cachirulo on Tuesdays being a favorite among experienced dancers. The venue has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, with large chandeliers creating a warm ambiance in the upstairs hall. During the pandemic era, entry requires vaccination status and mask wearing.
Although a show was expected upon arrival, we came upon a class in progress, followed by dancing of what was learned in the class, we enjoyed all of dancing and watching the class. Overall it was a fun time and the service was very good.
The T — Google review
El Beso, at Riobamba 416, is a fixture of the Buenos Aires tango scene—unassuming, consistent, and quietly central. The room is compact: mirrored walls, a tight wooden floor, modest lighting, and chairs arranged just far enough back to give the ronda space to breathe. Nothing is elaborate, but everything serves the dance. The seating is gender-segregated along two sides of the room, preserving the traditional architecture of the milonga. Dancers find one another through the cabeceo—a quiet negotiation of eye contact and nods across the floor. To be seen, you need to be seated correctly. And to be seated correctly, you need a table reservation. This is not incidental. At El Beso, where you’re placed determines whether you’ll dance at all. Getting a good table isn’t easy. You need to know someone—either a respected dancer or someone with ties to the organizers. If you show up without those connections, you’re unlikely to get onto the floor. This is a milonga for dancers, not for casual visitors. The codes are lived, not displayed. And access, like reputation, is earned. That said, even if you’re not dancing, there’s value in simply being there. The musical selections are among the best in the city—Golden Age tandas played at proper pitch and with attention to rhythmic clarity. The cocktails are decent. The floor is full. The movement is quiet, refined, and unmistakably Argentine. And the room, whether you dance or not, offers a glimpse into a tradition still very much alive.

• 📅 Program: The event was a Sunday milonga. Although it was supposed to start at 9:00 PM, the energy really picked up around 10:00 PM. The pace was excellent, allowing for a mix of dancing and conversation. • 🗣️ Susana, the woman who runs the place, was very attentive and welcoming. • 🎯 EXPERIENCE: • Highlights: The atmosphere was respectful, and the locals were there to dance, which made the experience very authentic. The interaction was very formal, with men inviting women to dance and then escorting them back to their seats afterwards. • Interaction: All couples chatted on the dance floor after each song. • 💡 FINAL VERDICT • ✔ Best thing: The incredibly respectful and authentic atmosphere, perfect for experiencing the true milonga culture. • ❌ Worst thing: The fact that the milonga didn't really start to liven up until an hour after the supposed start time. • 🌟 Tip: Don't be discouraged if it's quiet at the beginning; the real dancing starts later.

Very cool spot! Can’t speak to the food or drinks, but it’s an interesting and unique activity to do in Buenos Aires. Watching the dynamic between the people and how they dance with each other was fascinating.

This review is more from a first time seeing live Tango dancer point of view. I had a great time in this place. I wanted to experience a Milonga for the first time. The staff was very helpful and explained everything to me. I did not eat, and just had a soda water.

Classy establishment.. dance floor has some really big cracks and some small chunks missing, but its clean and pretty much smooth. Bathroom is clean. Good layout for the seating and the music was top notch. B-

A nice upstairs hall with large chandeliers creating a warm ambience. Pandemic era require vaccination status and mask wearing entry today. A handful of locals, plenty of room to dance ... such a different memory of pre-pandemic times where the place was packed shoulder to shoulder. Even a performance from a well known couple did not bring the crowd.

We wanted to see some tango but as we travel with a small kid we couldn't go to any of the late night shows. Our host suggested we visit this place, where they have milongas in the afternoon. We had no idea what to expect but it was a very pleasent experience. We saw people dance after the class, which for sure wasn't as spectacular as the tango show but was interesting for us. We also had pizza, which was very good. The whole experience was very nice. The women working there are friendly, helped us settle in and order food and drinks.

The musicians and dancers were excellent and the space was small and intimate. We were all impressed with the show and greatly enjoyed the evening. The dinner was mediocre at best and the wines quite poor. So go for the show and don’t expect an amazing meal…

Enjoyed every single moment of it. From the service to food to the performance. We had a 3 course meal, starter, main and dessert. My favourite part was the main where I ordered the beef cheek. Oh my!!! It was absolutely delicious. They knew exactly how to cook the dish to perfection. It was so tender. I definitely recommend this dish. Watching the tango, singing and music were a good experience. Thank you!

We absolutely loved this particular experience. It started with the company picking us up in old fashioned buses that was such a thrill! And then we were taken to the place where the actual tangle.Dinner happened, which was very nice, not overcrowded. We had a very good time. The actual show was a very interesting. It has very varied . There was a lot of music and then some dancing in different categories. My absolute favorite was the BOLLERAS!!! WOW. The food OKAY.. nothing to be extremely excited about, but the service was impeccable.. if you go to windows , you definitely have to do this to really in yourself in the culture.

It’s a great show. The staff really hustles to keep guests happy. Food was surprisingly good given the volume of dinners served. Go early for best seats next to the stage.
Marieanne B — Google review
I don't know where to begin .... We had searched for a tango show and got recommendations from people . We decided we wanted an upscale experience and not so much a huge Vegas style venue, which I also like but wanted something different. We bought the Gala VIP experience which included a wine tasting , about an hour, then a full dinner, about an hour, then the tango show . The night was an unforgettable experience. The wine tasting was informative and fun chatting with the other guests, about 7 of us total. Wines were interesting and the server wanted us to try unusual varieties instead of the usual . The dinner was right on point. Great choices and very relaxing, not rushed. The show was out of this world . The talent, the music, the outfits..... They performed just feet in front of us . One performance after another . Unbelievable! The VIP cost more but I would do it over and over again. I cannot say enough about how great it was . Definitely pay the extra and get the best.
Bryan J — Google review
We had an extraordinary night. The tango show was breathtaking and amazing. The dancers and music were always perfect. The servers are really kind and the food was very good. It is 100% worth it.

A fantastic evening from start to finish. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table up front. Beautiful over-the-top but entirely appropriate decor welcomes you and sets the tone for the evening. The service is impeccable, they have this down to a tee. And the food is delicious, one of the best steaks you'll find anywhere. After dinner, which is not rushed, you can then enjoy the show. And what a great show it is. The musicians are very talented and adept with the nuance of the emotions in the songs of tango. The dancers are all so beautiful, physically and esthetically. Their movements are well rehearsed but still fluid and graceful. A spectacular evening.

Café Tortoni, established in 1858, stands as a historic gem in Buenos Aires and is renowned for its French-style ambiance. This iconic café has long been a gathering place for the city's cultural elite, including celebrated figures like Jorge Luis Borges and Carlos Gardel. The venue buzzes with artistic energy, hosting live tango performances and various musical events that continue to attract both locals and tourists alike.
The atmosphere here is truly charming — cozy, historical, and full of character. I had to wait in line for about 45 minutes, but in the end it was definitely worth it to check out this must-visit spot. The bakery items were freshly made, and the coffee was decent as well, making for a nice combination. The staff impressed me with how professional, organized, and fast they were, even with so many people around. And of course, the highlight was the tango show — absolutely impressive, full of passion and energy, and something that perfectly captures the spirit of Buenos Aires. Overall, a memorable experience that I would recommend despite the wait.
Nataliia T — Google review
I usually don’t visit cafe’s and restaurant’s recommended by travel guides, but this time, the recommendation was spot on! I didn’t know what to expect. A grande entrance with 2 large doors. When you walk in, it feels like you are walking into an opera house. The lighting, ambience, people talking, laughter, and staff moving between tables whilst smiling. Organized chaos and feel good environment. I have never seen or experienced a cafe in such a grande scale. It was like watching live drama unfolding in reality. I was looked after by Yamii. Great service from her and a very pleasurable person to converse with. It was a highlight of my trip to Buenos Aires! Please do visit this place even if you have to queue up outside for some time. It will be worth it!
Gaffer — Google review
I went to this historic place and the line was about a 30 minute wait. They told me there is always a line. I went past there again today and the line was half of when I was there. So I recommend going during the day on a weekday. The food is ok, nothing special. I might not have ordered that well. It seems like most plates around me were sandwiches. The building is phenomenal. Very beautiful and historic. The chairs were really comfortable. For me, it is a one and done. I'm glad I went, but I would try other places for the food. Service was good and professional. I like the uniforms. Must try it at least once!

Café Tortoni is a fascinating place — stepping inside feels a bit like traveling back in time. The menu is a little unusual (cake for breakfast, anyone?), but the food was actually quite good. You can tell the service is optimized for efficiency rather than a leisurely dining experience, yet it’s still absolutely worth a visit for the atmosphere and historic charm alone.
Raul R — Google review
Live tango dance. Amazing hot chocolate. The lemon pie was amazing as well. The vibe was cozy and intimate. We got there around 3 and the wait wasn’t that long, however when we left at 3:45 there was a long line.
Zareefa A — Google review
This is a tourist must-go place. After seeing much of street cafe shops selling similar bakeries pastries, I think it's time to try authentic traditional cafe even with long line. The menus are in Spanish, we need google translator and an english speaking waiter to explain to us. For simplicity we chose a combo for 2- Té del Atardecer (2 infusiones, 2 copas de jugo de naranja exprimido, tostado mixto, alfajor, brownie, 2 medialunas, 2 churros, tostadas, manteca y mermelada). Well it might be for breakfast, it did not matter. The food is so so, I'm not coffee lover, so no comments on coffee. I did enjoy the classic decor with history, in the middle someone briefly showcased bit of tango, that's bit of surprise. Overall we did enjoy our experience.
Zemin B — Google review
After reading loads of reviews about this 'must visit' place in Buenos Aires, I thought I would give it a go. I think others must have been thinking the same things as the first two times there were really long queues outside, which only made me more determined to go in and see what all the hype was about. We managed to get a table in the late afternoon and the understood its popularity. It was like stepping back in time. The design of the place was very art deco and amazing to look at. There were live tango dancers moving between the tables. I expected the food to be over priced given its popularity, but was really surprised that it wasn't. It was like travelling back in time, a great experience and highly recommended.
Jensen I — Google review
Café Tortoni is not just a coffee house but a beautifully preserved portal to Buenos Aires's storied past, making it an essential destination for any visitor. Its history begins in 1858 when Jean Touan, a French immigrant, opened the original establishment; it later moved to its iconic, current address at Avenida de Mayo 825 in 1880, establishing itself as the cultural heart of the city. The moment you step through its doors, you are immersed in belle-époque splendor, surrounded by dark polished wood, marble tables, stained glass, and evocative portraits of Argentine cultural legends who once frequented its halls. While enjoying a classic café con leche and churros, the atmosphere itself - filled with the echo of poets, tango masters, and intellectuals - provides a uniquely romantic and historically resonant experience. It successfully maintains its century-old elegance and charm, offering delicious treats and a vibrant evening tango show, cementing its status as a living cultural monument and a delightful place to pause and soak up the city's spirit.

Amazing experience! We went for one tango class and stayed for another one immediately. Such a great approach, I went to many dance classes but this was a unique argentinian style led by their hearts. If you hesitate if one hour of learning tango make sense - YES!!! IT DOES! No tango experience needed, no partner needed, no booking needed. Foreigners mixed with locals. Lessons were in spanish but there wasn't a problem to translate to English what we didn't understand. We felt welcomed. The building is bit dark and looks strange, but it has a soul and don't hesitate, just enjoy!

The atmosphere was something. I went to dance but there were just so many tourists who even didn’t wear dance shoes. Music wasn’t good, nor dancers. ( There were little dancers; I stayed till 2 )

Beautiful place to hang out on the evening, have dinner and drinks with friends. BUT I was very confused by the Google comments as this place is NOT a proper milonga. The old man at the frontdoor is not being fairly honest in my opinion. The entrance fee is 5000 but food and beverage, tango show and live music are not included (need to tip the artists). Very few people there, even fewer will dance, at least before 01:30 A.M. since I left after waiting for 3 hours for more dancers to come. Most people are only tourists/spectators. Which means you think that you pay money to dance but you are actually entertaining the other people who come to get a glimpse of the tango culture. It's a pity because the venue is fabulous! Also, it was freezing cold in there (May, 2025) so this experience left me with mixed feelings. I felt like scammed but the art is nice. So go ahead with friends if you feel curious about the atmosphere, but do AVOID it if you are expecting to dance and meet other fellow tango dancers, especially during cold weather!

Arrived at 10 and left after midnight - the most exciting part of the evening is when the cat walked onto the dance floor. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place where tourists sit around and desperately hope something happens - it doesn’t.

Neat rustic/kind of run down venue for milonga. It’s affordable and laid back with great live music. I like the art lining the walls and personality of the venue. 4 stars because the drinks left a lot to be desired, I didn’t try the food. I am unsure if there is table service for food. We ordered beverages for our group from the bar. I’d return again.

Pablo does a very good job at describing the various tango & dinner shows that are available. Based on his descriptions, we chose the El Querandi dinner show. I admit that I was a little nervous about paying a broker, but I am glad that I did. He areanged transport which was prompt before and after the show. We were seated at a table with a good view of the stage. El Querandi has a large menu and the food was fine, the wine was decent. The venue has a wonderful, intimate atmosphere, just perfect for watching Argentine tango. The dancers were amazing, the singers were excellent and the musicians were also world class. Any visitor to Buenos Aires MUST see a dinner and tango show. Trust Pablo to guide you to the best show for you.

La Viruta Tango Club is a highly recommended spot in CABA for those looking to experience an incredible atmosphere, good prices, and excellent tango classes. On Friday nights, visitors can enjoy live orchestra performances. The club also offers delicious cuisine and a well-stocked bar with numerous options. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
An iconic place in the tango world, what can I say. La Viruta has been there for 30 years and is still one of the main milongas in BA. I personally go only Wed, Fri and Sun. Never been the other days. Love the practica dominguera with live orchestra Sundays at 18.30 before the lessons. If you are in town for a bit and want to take tango lessons, I would totally recommend coming to La Viruta. They have beginner, intermediate and advance lessons going at the same time starting 20.30 but check the schedule on Instagram. Fridays they have most famous orchestras playing as well. Usually the best dancers arrive around 2am, once they are done performing in their shows and then the dancing is happening until 4 or 5am. Ah, and recently they have the Sensaciones Tango Shoes stand there as well Wed, Fri and Sun. Super convenient to try on shoes without having to make appointments. See you at La Viru!

La Ventana - Barrio de Tango is situated in the historic area of San Telmo, Buenos Aires, where visitors can step back in time and immerse themselves in the city's tango culture. Housed in a restored tenement house from the 19th century, this venue offers an exceptional tango show experience.
An incredible evening from start to finish. The wine tasting was led by a fantastic sommelier who shared great Argentine wines and engaging conversation. Dinner featured a perfectly cooked Argentine steak, full of flavor and beautifully served. The night ended with a stunning tango show — passionate, professional, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Buenos Aires!

This is a great experience and you feel like you get your money’s worth for certain. The food and drink are plentiful (come hungry), the staff are welcoming and the show is wonderful. The show had a variety of tango dancing, singing and folklore which we appreciated. Arrived for 19.30 dinner, show at 21.30 finished by approximately 2300. They offer an included transfer service from hotels but we didn’t need it.

La Ventana in Buenos Aires' Barrio de Tango is an unforgettable experience! The food, atmosphere, and Tango performance all came together to create a truly magical evening. The Seasonal Salad was fresh and vibrant, the Ravioli in Fresh Marinara Sauce was divine, and the Pear dessert was fabulous – a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. But the real showstopper was the Tango performance and production. The musicians were incredible, and the cultural diversity was beautifully showcased. The passion and energy of the performers were infectious, and I felt like I was part of the show. La Ventana is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for an authentic Argentine experience. The combination of great food, stunning Tango, and rich cultural heritage makes it a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

I booked the show only option with transfers through Viator. The transfers were very good. The drivers were punctual and friendly. Safe. The tour operator was very easy to communicate with when I needed to confirm my booking. Well organised. The show itself was more like a cultural evening for tourists. It didn't capture that elegance and soul of the tango. I enjoyed it but it wasn't authentic. I have been to Buenos Aires before and the other show I saw was authentic and the venue was intimate. Traditional with local clientele as well. This was nice. Lovely venue and a good show, but for me it was more like a cultural evening. If it is your first trip to Argentina, do go, but also try and go and see something that really captures the passion of the tango.

If you visit Buenos Aires and you’re lucky, you might catch a tango show right on the street. But if you don’t want to rely on luck, go to La Ventana. It’s not just a tango show — it’s a performance that embodies the true soul and spirit of Argentina. You’ll spend an absolutely wonderful evening there. Highly recommended!
Valter C — Google review
The dancing was incredible and the staff was so responsive and kind. The food came out so quickly (and was really filling) and the overall experience was great. Definitely fun to see Tango live, just worth doing while in Buenos Aires.
Charlotte L — Google review
Great evening at La Ventana! The folklore act was amazing and so fun to watch too! A couple of notes: 1. Dinner starts at 8pm and the show will start at 10pm. Be prepared to wait if you have the dinner + show combo - it was well worth it though. 2. Being a tourist activity, I found it “interesting” that one of the singers were making fun of people in the audience who did not know Spanish during one of the acts where people were asked to sing along.
Christtian P — Google review
We chose the show and transportation option without food. This show felt like a mass-market, folkloric production aimed at the least discerning tourist. The experience lacked the raw passion and soul of Argentine dance, although the music was good. It’s closer to a glossy, over-choreographed dinner theater spectacle. The included bottle of wine was cheap plonk. There must be a more authentic tango experience in Buenos Aires.

Maldita Milonga is a popular spot in Buenos Aires, particularly known for its live orchestra El Atronfe that attracts a lively crowd. On Tuesdays, it hosts Tango Queer nights. For those new to tango, La Cathedral in barrio Almagro offers a relaxed atmosphere. If you're not one for late nights, the El Besos matinee milonga near the Callao metro stop starts dancing at 2pm on Fridays.
Unbelievable! So glad we pushed through our jet lag to go. 9pm starts with a tango class (there was 2 groups beginners and intermediate) 11ish music starts and anyone can get on the dance floor to tango (beginners are to stay in the middle as the season dancers circle round the edges. I could watch this for hours, it was so beautiful to watch and the music was great! 12ish the professional dancers (I assume they are professionals) came on and then we enjoyed the band playing live music and singing. It was a brilliant night! Drinks were reasonably priced too. If we were staying in BA we would go again
Raquel M — Google review
It's was my first milonga so I don't have a comparison. I skipped a lesson and came around 11pm to see guest dancing and then a show. Of course the show was the best but milonga before it also was interesting. As the show is late I'd expect it to start on time but there was a 30 minutes delay. Also, requirement to pay for everything in cash is a bit problematic. Even though it was a really nice night. I recommend to book a table as it's highly popular place.

Unforgettable experience. It was my first ever experience of Tango. For a symbolic price, I was able to have a dance class with amazing teachers, watch a show with professional dancers, listen to amazing live music. Can’t recommend enaugh 👏🏻❤️

A hidden gem in Buenos Aires!! The absolute best milonga in the city. I take all of my friends here that come and visit, and everyone loves it. The classes are incredible and the teacher is very patient. There is always a nice mix of beginners and intermediate dancers to dance with. The band at the end of the night is incredible and the singer is my favorite part! Definitely a can't miss if you're visiting, or if you live in the city and are looking for a fun night out!
Christian K — Google review
Spent there 2 Wednesdays learning how to tango and enjoying the show! Would definitely go every week if I lived in Buenos Aires. Hint: call and book your ticket in advance so you can have your own table(otherwise it might be full and you might have to stand).
Agustin E — Google review
There is tango class before the milonga. Live musics, singer performance, and world class tango dancers perform here. Unfortunately, it will be abolished in 1 month. Hopefully, the new venue will keep the culture and atmosphere.
Qiming L — Google review
On Wednesday. 300 pesos (cash) to enter. 9something there’s a beginners tango class. Overall pretty fun. 11:30something, the band/orchestra played for about 30 minutes. Then the professional dancers tangoed for about 30 minutes. And I think others were going to dance on the floor, but we left after the performances.
Diep N — Google review
Good time. The orchestra is the real show here. The dancers are OK and there is an exhibition with some very good dancing at the end. It's an early night for a Milonga, starting at 10:30 pm. There is recorded music with dancing and then the orchestra plays a set with some pieces highlighted by a passionate vocalist. The orchestra is vibrant and exciting in their interpretations. Try to reserve a seat or you'll be standing or on a barstool. Friendly staff and reasonable drinks. Most of the staff are bilingual, so there is a big tourist draw. It is definitely worth coming out for just to hear the orchestra. When it's over, you still have time to make that 1am set at another place.

Live music bar
El Boliche de Roberto is a historic bar in Buenos Aires that comes alive after midnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The interior is packed with tables and filled with genuine singers, guitar players, and tango accordion masters. This humble-looking bar has been open since 1893 and serves as a platform for emerging young tango musicians. The walls are adorned with old paintings and dusty soda siphons, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.
A true gem of a bar with rich history, providing a stage for local Argentinian artists to share their passion for music with an engaged audience. While visiting Buenos Aires, we discovered this one-of-a-kind treasure. It radiates authenticity and passion, with unforgettable tango nights, excellent prices, and outstanding service. There’s no cover charge for the live performances—you simply tip the artists as much as you wish, which adds to the charm and accessibility of the experience. This place is an absolute jewel, filled with beautiful energy. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the vibrant local art scene.
Mary D — Google review
This is where the locals and tourists enjoy a drink at night and listen to live music. The live music is free. You tip the musicians whatever you think they are worth. Look at the man in the street, standing next to the window. He did not move a hair for the entire song...
J ( — Google review
I traveled quite a distance to visit this bar, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. The place was extremely dirty, with dust-covered bottles and a generally unclean environment. On top of that, I noticed a flag supporting terrorists on the wall that I personally found highly offensive and inappropriate, while there wasn’t even a single Argentine flag in sight.. At that point, I couldn’t justify supporting such an establishment and left without ordering. I would strongly advise others to avoid wasting their time coming here.

This place was amazing, a dream of time past and a thrummingly present cultural experience in each moment. Service was a bit chilly at first, but once it was clear to bar staff that we were there entirely to take in the music and weren’t gonna do the loud clueless American tourist thing, quite warm and kind. Talking during performances is not the thing - everyone in the bar will shush, witnessed it many times. But if you truly want to hear and see and feel the heart of tango music in an intimate setting, this is the place - and you probably won’t be tempted to talk over the performances, which are astounding. Limited menu of mostly beer & wine - if you find a proper cocktail menu online, disregard, it’s outdated. Food options also seem limited, but whatever - go have a great dinner at one of the city’s many brilliant restaurants, and come here afterwards, just for the music and the experience.
Erika L — Google review
A Masterclass in How Not to Run a Bar If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a bar prioritizes mediocre tango performances over basic hospitality, look no further. The staff seemed far more interested in twirling around the floor than in serving customers. When they finally did acknowledge us, it was only to silence our conversation—apparently, talking is not allowed here. Despite the absence of table reservations, the best spot in the house was mysteriously “unavailable” for anyone but the regulars. Paying by card? Expect an extra 5–10% charge, which is not only outrageous but also illegal. The cocktails? So strong they might as well be jet fuel. If you have asthma or a dust allergy, bring your inhaler—this place hasn’t seen a deep clean in years. Service was so inattentive that we had to repeatedly wave the staff over, only for them to remove our empty glasses instead of asking if we wanted another round. But the true pièce de résistance? After settling the bill and leaving, a server followed us into a side alley to lecture us about tipping—complete with racist remarks. If you're not a local, don’t expect a warm welcome. If you’re looking for a great night out, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Notable street
Caminito is a vibrant alley and street museum in La Boca, inspired by a famous tango song. The area was settled by Genoese immigrants in the early 1900s and is now popular with tourists due to its Italian restaurants and colorful wooden houses. Visitors can experience the aroma of southern Italy, enjoy mate lessons, and admire the brightly hued houses. However, it's important to stick to the main roads as the area has become overrun with tourist shops and pushy sellers.

Cute. Lots of people dancing. Nice atmosphere. We arrived at 11:30 pm just as the band was packing up. By 1:15 the place had really thinned out. doesn’t take international credit cards and has a god awful exchange rate for foreign currency. Has a charge for a table and a minimum order - but just 65 and 300 pesos each respectively, so not an issue other than we bought drinks we didn’t drink or want just for the minimum.

Note you are going here for an experience, not the trendy restaurant in magazines. Starting from there, you would be visiting a different area of BA. It is a very local feeling, which is really good. The place is like a time capsule, it has all the character of an old family resto-bar, where the food is going to taste like your favourite aunt cooked it for you. The owner made space for us on a busy night where most people had a reservation for the live music, that was awesome, we were really grateful. The decor is a collection of mementos from past days, the tables are close to each other to have space for the dance floor, the lights are somewhat dim (thus the not well lit pics), I guess that adds to the intimacy of dancing tango. You would be there as an expectator of a generation of people who have known each other for decades and share the love for tango and milonga, and, I guess, that reminisce about better times. Hubby and I each had an empanada, then a Spanish tortilla and a milanesa, sides were sauted veggies and smashed pumpkin . Flavors were good, and as said before, they felt like comfort food. Had 2 glasses of white, very generously poured, and soda water. Then the music started, an hour of beautifully sang tangos, ballads and something else I can't recall the genre's name... Felt like watching a 4D movie. We spent around AR 14000, including musicians and waitress's tips.

Hard to find. Make the effort. We booked on line directly. Venue is perfect. Intimate, beautifully lit. Black box theatre space. Feels like 10 small tables in a hidden back room. We were seated as a party of two at a table with three chairs. Odd, but rolled with it. Shortly a lady was seated at the third chair. No conversation. The accordion started the piano joined in. And the lady at our table began to sing. Magical.

I discovered Secret Tango Society while reading reviews of other well-known tango venues. After seeing a beautiful show at La Ventana, I decided to give this one a try as well. Although the space is intimate and the atmosphere cozy, my experience was unfortunately affected by the seating — I was the first to enter the venue, yet they placed me behind a column, which blocked about 40% of the stage view, maybe because I was attending alone? It made it hard to enjoy the dancing fully. The show itself was nice, but not incredible. The seating arrangement really ruined the experience for me.

The neighborhood where it’s held is very cool too. would recommend for others looking for a more low key and authentic artistic experience. We visited in July.

San Telmo Market is a renowned covered market in Buenos Aires, offering a wide array of antiques and vintage items. While the feria only takes place on Sundays, the market's small shops are open daily, providing an assortment of goods such as old license plates, lamps, magazines, and cassette tapes. The weekends are particularly bustling with all shops open and great deals on vintage clothing including shoes and bags.
A lovely, lively market in the old town. There are still some traditional stalls selling fruit & vegetables and other goods, but the majority are now food outlets. This is a great place to stop by for a snack and/or drink, with plenty of options available. A vibrant, friendly place; welcoming to tourists as well as locals. A ‘must visit’ place.

Very nice market with several options of foods and drinks. The prices are very affordable, so can't complain. There are several options for eating and drinking, capable of satisfying all tastes. We had a four cheese milanesa at Milangueria, which was extremely good while being cheap.
Andre R — Google review
A lovely historic market that is house under cover with a lovely wrought iron construction. The market has a few different entrances but all lead to the central hub where you can pick up antiques (so many antique shops in San Telmo), fresh fruit and veg, spices, meats, souvenirs etc. It is also a great place for Asado, meat cooked over hot coals. The market gets very busy during the day as it is a popular place to eat but then quietens down after the non-eatery stalls close around 6pm. The whole place closes at 8pm. The food is of high quality and reasonable priced.

Surrounding the square, Calle Defensa is lined with antique stores and well-preserved architecture, making it a great place to explore. On Sundays, visitors can enjoy an antiques market at Plaza Dorrego, offering a variety of unique finds.
Finally stayed near the square in San Telmo – something I had been planning for a long time. Except for late at night and very early in the morning, there’s always life here: music playing, people passing by, a pleasant, constant background hum. Just sit down with a coffee, watch the world go by, and let time slip gently past.

I would like give a review to Feria de San Telmo, which takes place every Sunday on Plaza Dorrego. If you are interested in antique jewelry, plates, statuettes, etc. then you have to definitely visit Feria de San Telmo. It is smaller than some of European flea markets, but still big for Latin America with better prices than in Europe👍

Confitería Ideal, a historic two-storey building that once sold luxurious European home wares, now houses a charming café. The ground floor offers morning coffees and afternoon tea, while the first floor hosts milongas and dance classes. Visitors are greeted with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. The café also caters to vegetarians and offers tempting cakes and pastries displayed in glass cabinets that used to showcase fine goods.
From the moment you walk in the door, you are taken care of. The place is stunning and they really have maintained this place [since 1912]. They had a wide variety of desserts.. hard to pick since they all looked scrumptious. We all loved our food and drinks. The service was top-notch with the delicious food and ambiance to boot. The pricing is about what you would expect for this type of place. Next time I will try to tea time with friends. Don't skip this place when in Buenos Aires. Highly recommend!

This place is so beautiful and such good places like this are really hard to find these days. The atmosphere is really out of this world, like the place is still in 1912. The food was great, warm and just fabulous. The service was Great, no wait time, almost nothing unpleasant. I recommend this place highly for people who want to enjoy a special one time experience. A bit expensive but it is worth it.

I had a quick snack before my flight and hostess was very helpful when I asked for a recommendation. Food was great and the owner walks around and talks to customers. Very nice guy. I recommend this place not just because of history and architecture but also service.

It is impressive to see the details of the building and how much history has been well preserved at this cafe. They offer traditional breakfast menu which of course, medialunas, tostados, and cafe. Sparkling water is provided if you order cafe - very nice touch! It might take a while for the waiter to come to you and take your order. However, patience will give you a wonder experience of Argentine breakfast or merienda.

A beautifully renovated Confiteria in Buenos Aires. The interiors are stunning. When it’s full the vibe is like in the old days. The food and coffee is delicious. It’s a bit pricey, but at least for tangueros, this is a legendary place. This is where you could see Javier Rodriguez dancing with Geraldine Rojas in the film “Tango salón, confitería La Ideal” with Pupi Castelo.

We had front row take fire the evening. Perfect for viewing the dancing and singing but would be good anywhere in the room. Show was excellent, far better than what I expected. Dancing was top quality. Food was good but not great but that's not what we came for. All drinks were included which was very good. Lovely room to look at. Staff were excellent. A really good evening not to be missed.

The show was a slow start but gets better as it goes on. I'd say it's worth the value. The artists are very talented. My biggest gripe was that someone in front of me was recording the entire show; his phone was consistently in the way.

The evening began with a very tasty meal. The show was excellent, both the dancers and the musical accompaniment. The price of around USD 120 per person including hotel transfer, dinner with alcoholic drinks and show is fair.

Wish I could give this 6 stars. It is a dinner show and the food is just as good as any stand alone restaurants in Buenos Aires. Steak and Argentinian wines were great. Both the orchestra and tango performers were top tier professionals. They performed with passion and it was enjoyably evident. We were treated so well by the Mansion Tango team that this was a magical night and really enhanced our vacation.

We went to the evening dinner/show as two couples on tickets purchased through a third party (Gray Line, who operate one of the 'open top' bus services. Rude clientele made it hard to enjoy my time here. I am new to tango and this is my first time in Buenos Aires. I had taken a few tango lessons before coming to Argentina. LVT was my first real world tango experience and I don’t know if I would return. The class was okay, but almost entirely in Spanish which made it hard to follow. The big problem was that my first time going on the dance floor after class, I was chased off the floor by one of the more experienced local dancers who wanted the floor to themselves. I was made to feel unwelcome and inferior as a new dancer, which made me not want to come back. I did make friends with some locals who did dance with me, which was fun. BUT I did talk with another new dancer who also had been chased off the floor by one of the more experienced dancers. This school needs to find a way to be more respectful and welcoming to new dancers if they want people to come back.

I don’t know how to dance and spoke only a little Spanish. I booked a table for myself on a Friday evening and came for the salsa & tango classes then the show. I had a really good time. Even if you don’t understand every word of the instructors, they do a good job of explaining through body language and a lot of the other dancers speak English. If you want to try some dancing as a tourist you can do it here :)
Daniel F — Google review
Had a fun time last night with my friend. We would pair up with others who were also in the same beginner boat, and no one’s judgmental. If you ask the instructors to watch you/help, they do - just be vocal! The class was pretty short (or maybe time flies because it’s so fun haha) but there’s plenty of time afterwards to keep dancing. Hours are slightly off on the website? We weren’t sure if there was anything on Wednesdays. Found this schedule and sharing for all!
Kayla B — Google review
We did an introductory class for Malonga and tango. The instructors spoke Spanish and English, were patient, offered practical advice, and were lovely people. The space was clean and nice, and the bar and class were inexpensive. If I lived here or had more time in B.A., I would go back.

A club for the locals, but still Very welcoming to a pair of tourists, we had a great evening here. An incredibly friendly vibe. Arrived 11pm to a dance floor full of locals entranced in their dance and the rituals around it. As an outsider it is pretty fascinating as it’s such a deep tradition. We didn’t book so had a standing ticket, but as the night wore on and a table became available, we were given a dance floor side table. A live band started playing around 1:30am that were seriously brilliant, and there was also a demonstration dance from a pair of professionals. Loved it.

Iconic dance hall with pedigree history. Unfortunately new management seems to be tearing away traditions and pushing out the long standing tango organizers who have kept this place going for years if not decades! They also took down a huge iconic photographic mural that has been a trademark of the establishment for so long. Big mistake says I but also legions of tango dancers!! Well if you do go expect to stand unless you make a table reservation ahead of time. Also table service for drinks is the worst!!! Take over an hour to get your order taken. Then another half hour at least to get your drinks. Then you have to wait till the end of the night and chase the waitress around to get your bill. It’s totally ridiculous. But they only have one sometimes two waitresses serving the entire hall and they will NOT serve you at the bar. Just terribly inefficient!

Palacio Tango is a top choice for experiencing an authentic tango dinner-show in a historic building that once housed a cinema-theater. The luxurious space offers a captivating performance featuring around 6 pairs of talented dancers, some of whom also showcase their vocal skills with Spanish songs. While the dinner may not be exceptional, the overall experience is elevated by the enthusiasm and contagious energy of the performers. The theater's stunning interior adds to the allure, making it a great destination for an unforgettable tango experience.
A fantastic night watching a lively performance of tango plus live music. We went along for the show and skipped dinner, so we arrived in time for the start at 9:45pm. First of all, the hospitality is bad. While I was taking pics, a photographer just pushed us away to take pics for other guests. No excuse me no sorry, nothing, a disrespectful employee. When I was telling him I’m taking pics in here, he said: IM WORKING HERE. What’s that attitude? Is that okay? I have paid for a ticket as well and I have to be treated nicely as others. Such a shame. They offer Tango show dinner USD 120 per person. But if you go with 2 persons or more, the price can be lowered to USD 60. Remember to check with the receptionist first. But you have to pay in USD. Their Tango show was really great 👍. There were around 6 pairs of dancers on the show and two of them also sang two Spanish songs. All of us enjoyed the show. There were two dance who looks like the owner of the theater. The enthusiasm was contagious when they arrived. I don’t know Spanish but I believe they should be quite famous. But what I enjoyed the most was the live band! They were are amazing. The tango show won’t be a successful one without them. Not to mention then accordion and piano solo performance. They were great musicians! Their food menu has quite a few options. I tried the beef steak It was not good. It was dry and tasteless. But I understand that most people visit their are for Tango show and Tango class so good quality should not be a big concern. Btw the restaurant opens at 8pm but the show start at around 10pm. During the dining hour I was wondering if the show was cancelled 😂. I think the experience could be better if I speak Spanish.

You can make a reservation by WhatsApp and then pay in cash at the door. We did the show without dinner and loved it. The dancers were passionate and excellent and the music awesome. For a taste of Argentina it was awesome!
Alan D — Google review
The tango and the musicians get 5 stars. Period. Now for everything else: we opted for the "show promo" tickets, which were $27 USD for entry only. The show was supposed to start at 10pm so we arrived at 945pm as instructed. First, you need to know that there is little signage from the main street, so enter the shopping mall and the Palacio Tango will be to the right. There are two theaters with different shows; the Piazzolla has contemporary music with classic tango and the Gardel has traditional music with spicy tango. We opted for the latter. We made the right decision about tickets. You can get a ticket that includes dinner, but no one eating dinner seemed happy and you can get a real dinner for cheaper. You can also get a ticket that includes 2 drinks and transfer back to your hotel for $20 USD more. FYI, they only have one type of beer ($6) and the house wine is $18/bottle. The tango and instrumental music were great, but there were several songs in Spanish that we didn't understand and it felt like we missed a story line.

With a strong focus on traditional Argentine tango while seamlessly blending modern techniques, students can immerse themselves in this passionate dance form. I took a private class, and it was completely amazing! Beginner class should be great as well, but if you are a first time dancer, I'd absolutely recommend the private class. Totally worth it. And my teacher Pablo, he was such a great instructor and a cool person! You can get the soul of tango here!

I’ve taken in-person classes at Escuela Mundial de Tango the last 4 months and found their schedule really flexible. Multiple class times throughout the week for different levels and availability. It’s easy to find a class and get to the school, which makes it easy to attend regularly.
Michael B — Google review
This is a phantastic tango school, with great teachers. I love that you can take classes every time of the day. The atmosphere is very friendly, you get to know nice people and learn a lot on each level. Feels like home whenever I come here!

I had been dancing in the UK for 6 months before I came to BA for a month. I took a package of 20 group lessons during my stay here & after a recommendation from someone I met @ a milonga. These were going well, a local lady in one of the classes recommended Hernan, one of the Teachers for 121 lessons. I took 3 & then 6 more with Hernan & Maggie. Wow! What a difference the focus on me, by 2 professionals made to my Tango! I progressed much much faster, due to their feedback & dancing & would highly recommend them for intensive 121/221 lessons!

As a complete beginner, I recently spent two weeks at Escuela Mundial de Tango and made incredible progress. The key to my rapid progress was the combination of daily private tutoring with Eduardo Perez and a variety of group classes. Eduardo's patient guidance ensured I grasped the fundamentals (basic steps, posture, and key details) with ample practice time, boosting my confidence. The group classes then allowed me to refine my steps, learn embellishments (adornos), and receive further posture correction from different instructors. Attending several milongas provided additional practice and immersed me in the tango culture. Dancing and watching other dancers was a profoundly enjoyable experience. I am very grateful to Mary at the school reception who helped me with all questions and gave me each time a lovely welcome. Besides, there is a small boutique in the school where you could buy clothes and shoes for any tango occasion - training as well as milonga. My special thanks belong to Gabriela, the head of the school, for her personal attention. Her warm welcome made me feel right at home. In conclusion, I greatly benefited from my training at Escuela Mundial de Tango and met very nice people from all parts of the world there. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a supportive and immersive tango learning experience.

Went there for a private intro class in tango, did learn a lot with our professional teacher Valeria (+20 years of experience). AC rooms, central location and fair pricing and full hour of teaching, highly recommended

This is a perfect place for those who are looking for intensive training of Tango: it’s full of classes from 11AM to 21PM during weekdays and the courses cover most major themes of Tango conducted by different teachers.

If you're looking for an unforgettable evening in Buenos Aires, the "Show de Tango Casablanca" is a must-visit. This intimate venue offers a unique blend of tango performances infused with an erotic cabaret flair, creating a captivating atmosphere reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. The experience feels personal and special, as it supports small family-run businesses that focus on the arts. During my visit, I was fortunate enough to engage with Liliana Carcavallo, the owner and a talented dancer herself.
We had a wonderful experience at CasaBlanca Tango. We inquired about showtimes and pricing via their what’s up listing in their Instagram page. They were having a promotion of 10,000 pesos, per person including dinner, show, and unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks. The show is wonderful, they have a live orchestra and two amazing singers. Their dancers are just fantastic.
Leandra L — Google review
Definitely one of my favourite places to enjoy the Tango Show. The singer has an amazing voice. The performance of the dancers was so impressive. They interact with the public.
Nadia L — Google review
They present a number for reservations, but in reality they reserve a different tango show for you - Madero Tango. This is a disgusting lie and a scam. When confronted, they say "Casablanca won't open again"... Avoid!
Philipp S — Google review
Brilliant show, featuring live tango, singers, and live band. Small venue, where you will always get a good view close to the stage. The performers also mingle with the audience during the show. Good value for money. Food is optional.

The best tango in Buenos Aires Argentina ! The story line was so amazing and all the dancers gave it their all! All the staff was so friendly and the love for tango was really shown!
VGOGODANCER S — Google review
The talent showcased here was amazing! I was totally transfixed on the variety of the performing offered. There was dancing and singing but also some tap stomp performance that was exceptional. The service was wonderful. We were well taken care of. The food was not the best bet was edible. You come to Casablanca for the performance not the food. I also loved that the place wasn’t so large that you didn’t get a good seat. Every seat was a good seat!
Theresa G — Google review
Amazing show. The dancers, musicians, vocalist and warm up act were all first class. The wait staff are great and attentive. The entree and dessert were great. The steak was absolutely terrible; low grade cuts of meat which are over cooked and very chewy.

dinner, transportation, an open bar, and such a spectacular show. i did not expect to be wowed as much as i was. incredible live instrumentation, unbelievable singing, fantastic dancing. you NEED to come here! such a nice ambience. such a nice experience. do not miss out!

The Argentine locals were initially uninterested in attending a tango show in Buenos Aires due to its touristy nature. However, during a visit with family, they decided to give it a chance and went to see the show accompanied by an Argentinian. They were impressed by the exceptional dance skills on display. Soledad from Tango Shows Buenos Aires made the entire experience effortless for them.
Quickly & easily got me a last minute ticket to the tango! Such a great experience happy I didn’t miss it!

Great service I booked two tickets to a last minute tango dinner show through WhatsApp and Soledad made good suggestions to choose the best show, got us a much better rate than booking directly and the seats were very good near the front of the venue with perfect view of the stage. Easy to pay via a PayPal link she sent then just gave my name on arrival at the venue. Id definitely recommend booking through her.

Soledad from Tango Shows Buenos Aires helped us really good, communication was fast, friendly and we also met het in person to help to check in at the show. The Tango Porteño show was great and the food was good, we really enjoyed this experience. Must do, when you are in Buenos Aires!

Soledad made this experience so easy for us! With one call we were booked at the Piazzolla Tango show for the same night, including a delicious dinner, and transfers to and from our ship. Everything was like clockwork and the show was awesome! I wouldn't hesitate to book with Tango Shows Buenos Aires again. Thank you, Soledad! 💓

Booked a Tango Show at El Querandi via Pablo and it was a great experience all the way. Superfast communication during the booking, timely pick-up in our hotel, amusing conversation during the taxi ride about Boca & River (!) ... Not even mentioning the dinner & show. Food was perfect, we had nice seats and the show was spectacular. A perfect night!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Avenida de Mayo, the Tango de Mayo Hotel is a stunning blend of history and modernity. Housed in a beautifully renovated building from the 1910s, this hotel showcases Art Nouveau elements with its elegant glass surfaces and charming Parisian metal accents. Guests can revel in eclectic decor featuring checkerboard floors and plush velvet armchairs that create an inviting atmosphere.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Guillermo is a great host. The location is excellent, right next to Saenz Peña SUBTE (Subway) station, with many restaurants, National Congress, many parks and other points of interest nearby. The apartment was perfect for us as 2 longish term travellers. Beautiful old building. There is a washing machine and dryer, good wifi, hot shower w good water pressure, fully equipped clean kitchen with fridge and freezer. The house is used for tango lessons intermittently. Security for the property is excellent. We would have loved to have stayed for longer. The place was so comfortable and we were very glad we made an enquiry with Guillermo as our previous accommodation in BA was similar in price (budget end of the scale) but of far less quality and comfort. Highly recommended.
