Restaurant
Don Julio is a renowned steakhouse in Argentina, celebrated for its classic steaks, local dishes, and extensive wine selection within an intimate setting. The restaurant has garnered global recognition, securing a notable 18th place in the 50 Best Restaurants in the world ranking for 2023. Specializing in grass-fed Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle beef aged for at least 21 days, Don Julio offers an exceptional dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and a warm welcome that immediately made us feel happy and at ease. I had booked a table for two at noon on a weekday, and by the time we got there, the restaurant was already nearly full—always a good sign. The starters and bread were delightful, bringing a sense of joy and anticipation while we waited for the main dishes. We ordered the grilled cheese, salad, and a 500g medium-rare ribeye. I was truly impressed by the steak—perfectly cooked with a beautifully smoked crust, while the inside remained incredibly tender. Highly recommended for both its outstanding food and attentive service!

Great food and great service. We had a reservation but asked to move it earlier, and they kindly accommodated us — though we sat outside, which we didn’t mind. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ojo de bife was huge, easily enough for 3–4 people. Overall, excellent experience — if you’re a true steak fan, you’ll notice the quality difference; if not, it might just feel like another good steak. Still worth it for the experience, just a bit on the pricey side.
Lance F — Google review
This place has a lot of hype but we really felt it lived up to it and was worth the price. I could only get a booking for 11.30am online and even at that you queue. But they gave sparkling wine and empanadas while waiting. We were seated outside on white table cloth. Wouldn't have been my preference but was still nice and classy. We were given a few "free" bits including nice breads with a type of salsa and there are nice salsas and chimichuri sauces kept on the table. We decided to get a few starters (sausage and morcilla) and an entrecote steak to share with chips and a nice bottle of malbec. All really beautiful and the feature of the steak cut next to you is class. All really beautiful. The post main part is a little slower and less attentive service though they had some nice features like giving a free ice cream after ordering one. I also got coffee. Overall came to c $260,000 (€150) which I felt was worth it for what it was.

We were thrilled to get a seat at the number one steakhouse — ranked best three years in a row and a proud Michelin-star holder! There were some mixed reviews online, but coming all the way from Southeast Asia, we were so eager to try this famous establishment. We managed to get a lunch reservation, and while waiting, they served complimentary empanadas and wine — such a nice touch. The service was excellent and the staff were superb. We ordered the entrecôte (which costs about three-quarters less than back home!) and it was absolutely AMAZING — so flavorful and tender that we ended up ordering a second one. The mashed potatoes were also delightful. If you get the chance, do yourself a favor and try this place — it’s that good!
Debby D — Google review
You definitely need a reservation for this place as it’s always busy. Even with a reservation, expect to wait a little before being seated, but they make the wait enjoyable by serving champagne outside. We ordered the tomahawk steak, and it was cooked to perfection, the only steakhouse in Argentina where we felt they nailed it perfectly. The food overall was okay and we were a bit surprised that it ranks among the top steakhouses in the world. What truly set the experience apart was the service, easily the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The staff made the entire experience feel special. Overall, we had a great time. The exceptional service alone makes Don Julio worth a visit, even if the food didn’t fully match its world-class reputation.
Ghazal L — Google review
The freshly baked bread served with olive oil and green cheese? I'd quite special. We tried a few appetitizer and enjoyed them all - the chitterlings are chewy and spongey, grilled cheese smells and tastes good. The veg dishes of pedimento and mushroom are juicy and tasty. The rib eye steak lives up to the standard. The waiters at the table are overall attentive. In terms of critique, the seating is crowded for the standard of fine dining however. The restaurant reception subtly gives the sensel that the restaurant, no. 10 in the world with one Michelin star, is in hot demand that they have more customers than they can serve. Overall it is a great experience.
Olivia T — Google review
Exceptional quality meat, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the reputation or price. We ordered a flank steak (medium-rare), a ribeye (medium-rare), mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. The flank steak arrived unevenly cooked (at parts medium / medium-well), the ribeye was rare, the mashed potatoes were buttery but under-seasoned, and the mushrooms were good but not exceptional. We appreciated the service upon joining the line at open - they passed around glasses of bubbly wine. We did not indulge, as it was early in the day, but we appreciated the sentiment nonetheless. We regret not ordering the fries — they looked amazing as they arrived at other tables. We’ve since been chasing that same fry experience elsewhere after Don Julio, but alas…
Karen F — Google review
We came here twice during our visit to Buenos Aires. I think combining the food, wine list and the service they all do the justice of their fame! I’m not a big steak fan but this one was good. But they got me with the little empanadas they serve while you are waiting for your table! I could just eat them forever! Definitely an experience to have in the city!

Restaurant
El Preferido de Palermo has a fascinating history that dates back to the early 20th century, when it was a popular grocery store frequented by tango singers, poets, artists, and gauchos. Over the years, the space has been restored by the Zoppi family, uncovering a treasure of old memories and a wine cellar with more than 2.
Really good service! Natasha, our waitress, was very attentive and super nice. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We shared everything and left feeling full :) It is on the expensive side, but both the food and the service are totally worth it.

Located in Palermo, one of the most well-known neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, this restaurant is a must-visit. It offers local charm, excellent service, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious Argentine gastronomy and a great wine selection. Reservation is a must there are two options: outside terrace and indoors. Added to my fav’s list. 😉
Catalina B — Google review
I stopped by for an early dinner without a reservation, and the front desk staff was super friendly—they gave me a few different seating options to choose from, which was great. I ordered a gin and tonic and got to pick from a nice list of gins. For food, I went with the Canelones, and they were amazing—especially with the tasty red sauce. I finished with the flan, which was the perfect classic dessert. Service was awesome—my server, Rodrigo, was really helpful, gave great suggestions, and made the whole visit totally worth it.

We just dropped by and had our light lunch. The blood sausage is incredibly delicious. Salad is very nicely seasoned and bread with lemon olives oil is a nice touch. Lemonade is very refreshing and tasty. Tortillas is okay. In general, price is slightly higher but a great experience.
Iris H — Google review
Without a doubt an absolute MUST for Buenos Aires! We arrived on a Monday at 7:30pm, the staff were so attentive and without a reservation we waited for about 20min only which was fine, especially as they give you a waiting drink, delish! We were seated at the bar which I would highly recommend because watching the Chefs in action was a work of art. We saw every dish coming out and it was perfection, and everything we ordered tasted amazing, I wish we could have ordered more and hope we can come back before we leave. Complementary housemade bread and olives to start, so classy. Wine from Mendoza was delish and then as a surprise (because the chefs probably saw how much we were enjoying ourselves) they gave us desert on the house which was the cherry on top! If we were locals, this would be our weekly spot!!

Loved this place Fabulously friendly and efficient staff . Great vibe punching out fabulous food. At El Preferido de Palermo, the Milanesa I ordered was a full of texture and flavour, Accompanied by a fresh grilled asparagus. Washed down by a couple of excellent wines . This place merits the attention of those who appreciate good food cooked well and fine dining and a cool friendly ambiance.

El preferido de palermo was my first ever experience in a restaurant in Buenos Aires, and I didn't disappoint. The welcome bread, olives, and olive oil had an incredible taste I had never tasted in America. Everything was made with so much care, and the flavor of the food was outstanding. The staff was very knowledgeable and offered wine that paired well with our food. I would definitely come back again!!

Incredible place. We came to celebrate my sister's birthday and had a great time. All the food was insanely good, especially the chips, the olive oil, and the complimentary freshly baked bum-shaped bread. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The sommelier helped us a lot with choosing a wine and even let us try before we buy. Would definitely come back!

Barbecue restaurant
Argentinian restaurant
Grill
Located in the lively city of Palermo, La Cabrera is a popular Argentinian grill known for its wide variety of high-quality cuts of meat. From boneless ribeye to grilled gizzards and braised pork shoulder, the restaurant offers an array of traditional dishes. What sets La Cabrera apart are the generous side dishes that accompany the beef, including mashed potatoes, quail eggs, zucchinis, and sweet corn.
Genuinely very impressed! They offer a dinner deal with 40% off at certain times, which makes it amazing value. All of the steaks were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The sides were just as impressive, and there’s a lovely selection of wines to choose from. We left absolutely stuffed and very happy. It was genuinely so worth it—highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Cabrera is an absolute must-visit in Buenos Aires! 🇦🇷 The atmosphere is lively and full of local charm, and the service is friendly and attentive from start to finish. The steaks were cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour — easily some of the best we’ve ever had! 🥩🔥 The selection of side dishes and sauces was outstanding, and the generous portions make it great value for money. We loved the complimentary appetisers and desserts — such a thoughtful touch. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires and want to experience authentic Argentine cuisine in a warm and vibrant setting, La Cabrera should be at the top of your list. ❤️

Had a lovely diner here. Was (pleasantly!) surprised by the Happy Hour discount -30% for diner between 18.30-20.00. Service was really good! Food wise it was possible to share dishes or eat half a portion, which was great. Salads as a side dish are also very good ánd huge, so easy to share. Am very pleased that I have visited this place, will come back!
Nicole — Google review
we ordered the Argentinean meat, 3/5 in my opinion. maybe the entrana would be a better choice. waiters only arrive at 8pm for dinner so going early to secure a table if you have no reservations.
小號K — Google review
We ate here recently and throughly enjoyed the food, the steak was one of the best I’ve eaten. And the service was very attentive and friendly too. Plus the prices are decent, especially during the happy hour. Maybe a bit picky but only 4 stars because… * We sat outside as it was the 40% off happy hour so was very busy. Not a problem, but the heating lamp didn’t work and it was August so it was uncomfortably cold. They need to fix the heater. * I allowed the waiter to talk me into ordering less steak (he was quite persistent), so was still hungry at the end. The customer is always right. 🙂 * I ordered a can of beer and it arrived in a half-full glass because it was only half the can. I don’t know what they did with the other half. When I got a second can of beer I poured it myself and it filled the glass to the very top.

My favorite steakhouse in Palermo. Very crowded -you need a reservation or luck. The beef is amazing, well priced. Service is very good. 👍

Very kind, friendly, and helpful waitstaff. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend for an affordable and delicious taste of authentic Argentinian steak.
Ashleigh D — Google review
La Cabrera is the kind of place where everything just turns out right. They have been at it for years and it shows. The staff are experienced and attentive, the atmosphere has that classic Buenos Aires charm, and the food is exactly what you hope for in a traditional parrilla. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy, and the empanadas were excellent. Portions are generous, flavors are authentic, and the overall experience lives up to the reputation. Set in the heart of Palermo, one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, La Cabrera makes for a perfect night out. Palermo is known for its lively mix of cafés, bars, and restaurants, and this spot is one of the standouts. A great combination of quality food, professional service, and a location full of energy. No complaints, just a memorable Buenos Aires dining experience.

Argentinian restaurant
Cabaña Las Lilas is an upscale steakhouse located in the historic red brick warehouse in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. It offers a variety of top-quality beef cuts from their own estancias, including Angus, Brahman, and Hereford. The restaurant's romantic waterfront setting and comfortable furnishings make it a popular spot for tourists looking to savor world-famous Argentinian beef prepared to perfection.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Best steak I had in BA, better than at Michelin starred Don Julio. The added-on all you can eat appetizers was amazing and a great deal, the only problem is self control to not fill up on it before the steak. The steak was juicy and so incredibly tender. The soufflé potatoes were recommended by our waiter and it was amazing. Highly recommend the potatoes.

I would NOT recommend this place despite all reviews and high prices. Best of our selection was salad and sweetbread/Mollejas. I did order T-bone(medium) which was $72000, and it was tough and chewy, i was so disappointed and sad. I thought it was me, but my family ordered flank steak(medium) was chewy as well. Service???? VERY SLOW, our waiter didn't come to us for 20 minutes. Side dishes i'd recommend, mushrooms. Our bill was $250,000 with 2 beers and no other alcohol. Great view on the water.

Very good service. Beef Tartar and Beef Capaccio are a must. Desert is surprisingly delicious. Best Fran I ever have and Apple Tatin is not too sweet. Highly recommend.

An exceptional service, great quality meat and well presented plates. High end quality and price. Service is good, wine choicd is good. An.excellwnt plaxe for business or for couples. The view into the marina is super. Late evening the space near the maruna becomes less lit, which can be romantic or can be a challenge to read the menu, or both! Its a special restarajnt foe special occassions

Fantastic steak restaurant with great ambience right in Puerto Madero. The food was nothing short of amazing, the meat cooked to perfection and the staff was attentive. As is customary here in Buenos Aires, the wine selection was large which made it easy for steak pairing. Definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you have the chance!

Cabaña Las Lilas restaurant, situated on the Puerto Madero Waterfront, holds a Michelin rating as of 2025. The atmosphere is delightful, the service is exceptional, and the steaks were outstanding, paired with a local Malbec wine, followed by ice cream and sorbet, and culminating with coffee. A truly memorable evening!
Greg S — Google review
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Cabaña Las Lilas, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of extraordinary. The Bife de Costillas Las Lilas was absolutely heavenly. It was cooked to perfection, with flavors so rich and satisfying that we came back for dinner just to relive the experience. My son even devoured my Wagyu burger, which is saying something! That being said, there's some room for improvement in the service. While the food was undeniably top-notch, the overall experience could benefit from more attention to detail when it comes to service. Cabaña Las Lilas is undoubtedly one of the most memorable meals I've ever had. The quality and taste of the dishes are truly on another level. We were recommended this place by a local who assured us we’d get the true Argentine meat-lover’s experience, and they didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is lively, a mix of tourists and chic locals, and it stays buzzing both in the afternoon and evening. The restaurant itself is spacious, with sleek, contemporary decor, clean lines, and amber lighting that also lets in plenty of natural light. It’s a great place for families or large groups, though it’s not the intimate, romantic setting some might expect. What I loved was the extensive wine collection, which pairs beautifully with the wide range of meats offered. Some of the flavours (the condiments with the bread) brought me back to my hometown of Chicago, with subtle Italian influences that I truly appreciated. While the experience was fantastic overall, I think Cabaña Las Lilas would benefit from a more private, upscale dining option. A quieter, more intimate space could allow diners to slow down, savor the food, and enjoy the wine without the distraction of the busy crowd. This would elevate the experience even further. On a more critical note, the service left something to be desired. While the servers looked polished in their uniforms, and the chefs worked diligently in the open kitchen, there was a moment that made me uncomfortable. The Maître d’ made an inappropriate comment about my appearance, remarking that I looked “strong” and then referencing “Wakanda” out of nowhere. I’m still unsure what that was about, but it certainly detracted from what should’ve been a flawless experience. That said, the food alone makes Cabaña Las Lilas worth visiting. It’s a place where the flavors speak for themselves. Just be prepared for a lively environment and hope that your service experience is more in line with the quality of the meal.

Amazing food and experience. Tomahawk steak came with a fire show. Interactions felt a tiny bit cold but that's likely because of the language barrier on both sides. Still a great night had by all!

Pizza restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Pizzería Güerrín is a renowned establishment in Buenos Aires, serving traditional Argentinian-style pizza and empanadas since 1932. It has become an iconic spot for locals and visitors alike, with long queues during peak hours due to its immense popularity. While some claim that the quality may have changed since it was acquired by the owners of a pizza chain, it remains a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of Buenos Aires' unique pizza style.
Pizzería Guerrin is an absolute classic and truly one of the best spots for pizza in Buenos Aires. They do a fantastic job – the pizza is delicious, fresh, and made with high-quality ingredients. The tomato sauce tastes homemade, like it’s made from real tomatoes, not processed ones – rich in flavor and full of aromatic spices. You don’t need to add anything – it’s perfect just the way it is. The place is always packed, but the staff handles it incredibly well. The team is fantastic – I’d rate the service 10 out of 10. The kitchen works efficiently, and despite the rush, we didn’t wait long for our pizza. When it arrived, it was absolutely amazing. Even the people next to us, who had just arrived, were admiring our pizza! The desserts looked great too, but unfortunately, we were too full to try them. Still – this place is absolutely worth visiting. The atmosphere, the flavors, the quality, and the service – all top-notch.
Krystian T — Google review
This is considered the best pizza in Argentina or at least BA. It’s a huge place with so many tables and rooms and staff that it is quite a maze. The staff were attentive and helpful and I have to admit that the ingredients were high quality and the pizza was very good. I did think that is was on the pricey side for a pizza (we visited in May 2025) but it was a great experience and I would definitely return to try other combinations of toppings and crust!
Dov F — Google review
For a foreigner this is an average pizza with average ingredients and a pre-made dough. The cheese is abundant but there nothing that stands out about this pizza. It's cultural and historic that's the whole point. You can try argentinan pizza here to say that you've had it but there's no need to come back. It has HUGE amounts of mozarella cheese which I guess drives people crazy. For this style this place is famous but there's much better options in Buenos Aires for spectacular napolitan style pizza such as Atte. The place is always packed so don't go on an empty stomach. I paid 42,000 for a large pizza and a HORRIBLE glass of wine. That size is good for four people.

It was definitely worth visiting this place! I must give 5 stars to the staff — even though there was a line, I didn’t have to wait long because they work efficiently and fast, attentive - which makes the whole experience so much easier. I’d recommend trying the pizza with anchovies and their signature one with onions, the half/half option - both were incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
Nataliia T — Google review
It’s an Buenos Aires staple and always crowded, especially outside peak hours. The pizza here is very thick — almost like bread! I tried the Fugazzeta, Guerrin Special, and their empanadas, and honestly, I preferred the empanadas over the pizza. The empanadas taste good. The restaurant i super spacious and can handle lot of people. The pizza comes loaded with toppings, but it felt a bit too heavy, and the bread flavor was quite dominant. I’d suggest ordering by the slice so you can try different varieties. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I might not coming back.

Wow. Amazing pizza. Crazy ambiance. There are three sections, we went all the way back to the last one. For as large and busy as it was, service was fast.
John S — Google review
First time there. After a few questions the server brought us an English menu. Had two kinds of pizza. Both very good. The place is huge. Long line but moved fairly quickly.
Patsy G — Google review
The food here is excellent and the service is fast, especially considering how crowded it gets. The mozzarella pizza is amazing, they put a ridiculous amount of cheese on it, in the best possible way. There’s not much room between tables, and it can be hard to move around because it’s always packed. It’s noisy, but you can still have a conversation. Classic Buenos Aires pizza experience.

Nestled in the vibrant San Telmo neighborhood, Los Galgos Bar is a beloved establishment that has been delighting locals and visitors alike for years. Under the expert guidance of renowned chef Leandro Lele Cristobal and his talented partner Mercedes Solis, this charming venue serves up a delectable array of porteño dishes infused with Spanish and Italian influences, including mouthwatering pastas and classic milanesas.
Came here on a food tour and had a great experience - historic atmosphere, good food, and fast service.

Decided to visit Los Galgos Bar as it was on the Notable Bars list. The space is not particularly ornate like others on the list, but just a different style. There is a “bouncer” by the entrance, which is odd but don’t let that dissuade you. Service once inside is quite pleasant and quick. Most food items are standard Argentine fare, but don’t well. Don’t expect fine dining though. We ordered the Merluza a la milanesa con papa natural (hake Milanese with boiled potatoes) and the Buñuelos de acelga con corazón de muzzarela con alioli picante (chard fritters) and both were very tasty, quite healthy if you don’t want a heavy lunch. Of course we ended up being tempted by the Budín de medialunas con manzana caramelizada y crema batida (bread pudding made with croissants instead of bread) but we swapped the whipped cream for dulce de leche instead. This I would absolutely recommend ordering as it was spectacular.

Popped in late one night for a quick drink and ended up staying a couple of hours …there’s just something special about this place. The ambience is superb: warm, relaxed, and full of character. The staff were brilliant - welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. One drink turned into a few and eventually they helped me choose some fantastic red wine. Apparently, Los Galgos dates back to the 1930’s and was lovingly restored to retain its classic porteño charm while serving up a top-notch modern menu.

This was an amazing find. We enjoy walking around without a defined path and seeing what we find. Unfortunately, they don't have draft beer so we got canned beer, but I can see they are proud of their wines. We had a light meal which was tasty. The manager saw that I was curious about the history of the bar so he showed me the upstairs. There's another bar upstairs that opens after 8 p.m. or is available for private parties.

Food was good and it was cheap for the portion, the only thing was the server never came with water. We asked an other server and it didn't come too. We had to ask 3 different server to have water. Tortilla was good, a little too hard for my taste but original with the onions on top.

El Cuartito is a bustling, no-frills pizza parlor located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It's an iconic spot frequented by locals who adore the hearty portions of pizza topped with fresh tomato sauce and a generous amount of mozzarella. The walls are adorned with memorabilia of sports legends, musicians, tango dancers, and actors.
It’s very delicious pizza in traditional place. Line can be long but worth to try. Prices are fine.

This was our second pizza restaurant visit. And again we selected a place that had 35K+ reviews and even older since 1936! Just wonder how they are managing to survive for over 90 years with the quality we experienced. The waiter was totally disinterested to the extent where his body language felt like "really, you want to eat here?". We order a half bottle of Malbec, two slices of pizzas and an empanada. Just like the other place, the empanada was nothing to talk about. The Fugazza was bland and hardly any cheese with very little onions. The Fugazzeta with ham and tomato was much better. On the way out we noticed the whole Fugazetta pies which seemed to be loaded with cheese and nice charred onions. I wonder when you order slices, you get the poor versions. We asked for the "La Cuenta" (the check) and it never came and our Spanish is not poor. Then we found that when you pay by credit card, you have to go to the cashier. Not an issue, if the lazy waiter had bothered to tell us that. Not a place I would go back to.
Saibal S — Google review
Overall, it was a good experience. I visited on a Sunday around 5:00–5:30 pm and the place was quite calm. The dough is not too thick; I think they intentionally bake it a bit more so that the medium-thick base becomes slightly firm. The toppings were well balanced. In general, it’s a nice alternative. The service could be improved if the staff moved a bit faster. Also, the restrooms need serious attention—when I was there, they were in an extremely poor condition. This is the only major criticism I can make.
Öner B — Google review
Nice place. Pizza was a 6.5/10. The standouts were the fugazzeta rellena and the cuatro quesos. A group of twelve at a large table is a bad idea I think, we were shouting and it was uncomfortable for the rest of the people. They should consider buying some round tables.
Jeremias G — Google review
I was there with my wife and we were extremely mistreated disrespectfully and were ignored by both the person at the cash and our waiter near the end when we asked for the bill. They refused to even look at us for about 15 minutes when we asked for our bill. While they clearly had no other thing to do and avoided eye contact and they nodded to each other towards us. We speak too little Spanish and they only things we said were Muchas Gracias and Por favor, the rest were mostly pointing and bowing with respect. 🤷 We’ve been in Buenos Aires for 10 days and we’ve been treated super nicely by everyone we’ve met so far which I’ve been raving about. This was the only incident in Buenos Aires and probably the worst disrespect I’ve received in my life in the present of my wife on a date night (15 years together). I wish I knew why they treated us that way. Aside from above which I noticed near the end (after requesting for the bill). The bread, cheese and tomatoes were very mediocre compared to other places we had pizza here. I found the TV distracting during food. The blue / white lighting creates a non-cozy, unsettling environment at night.
Pyrus L — Google review
For me, the best Northern-style pizza — especially when it comes to fugazzetas. A local, family-friendly atmosphere with fair prices.
Richard F — Google review
AMAZINGGGG. Loved their pizza! We had to wait about 20-30 minutes to be seated … but it was worth the wait!
Chris V — Google review
I’d give it a 5-star if it was only for the atmosphere—very local feel and if you like to wait for a table and the rush while you eat, you’re in the right place. Feels like a must for both locals (seems very beloved, judging by the line outside for dinner at around 8:30 PM, I also tried at around lunchtime, super crowded) and the tourists. I personally loved the atmosphere, but skipped the line as I ordered a take out. They prepared a GF pizza for me (only two options, 1. mozzarella only and 2. mozzarella, ham and peppers) which left something to be desired. But I’m sure the non-GF pizzas are great. The only reasons I went there are because it was in the same block of my hotel and it popped on Maps when I searched for GF places. I’m sure it’s not for everybody, but it is an exhilarating and rushed eating experience - especially if a football game is on, which it was when I visited. Waiters behave like friends and can be a bit rude as well for some people, I believe, but it’s all part of the charm and the long tradition the pizzeria holds. They all know each other and probably know the regualrs too. If GF options and the dough were better, it definitely would be a 5-star review, especially since the GF pizza dough is usually very simple to make and it’s difficult to go wrong with it, but they somehow did 🤣 Still, all the cheese and grease covered the tasteless dough so it wasn’t bad per se—it could also have more toppings options. The GF menu is a point for improvement though.

El Sanjuanino is a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking to savor authentic Argentine cuisine in a cozy and traditional setting. The restaurant's decor reflects the rich history and traditions of Argentina, creating an immersive dining experience. The menu features classic dishes such as locro, empanadas, grilled meats, and more at great prices. The waitstaff adds to the lively atmosphere by engaging with patrons in multiple languages. It's recommended to share dishes due to generous portions.
Great service from all the waiters who were all very friendly and helpful. The first visit we ate empanadas: the picante was superb and so too were the Caprese, and the blue cheese. Those were washed down with a Quilmes Clásica, which is a great lager. We went back that evening for bife steak, which was an eye-opening and belly-filling delight: huge and cooked to perfection, with the chips being proper chips (like in England). The house red slipped down a treat (apparently, it was a small glass but in England it would be charged as a large!) For our third visit in three days (yes, the food really was that good), we enjoyed the locro and Milanese. Again, lip-smackingly good. The restaurant is really cosy, especially downstairs, and we will visit again the next time we're in Buenos Aires. Great quality and the prices are very reasonable.

We had asked a taxi driver for his favorite emapanada place, and this was his answer. Then followed up with his favorite one, to which he replied, the vegetarian one. If you're on the hunt for an authentic Argentinian steak experience, look no further than Calden del Soho Grill in Buenos Aires. This charming eatery stands out with its unique operating hours, remaining open all afternoon without a siesta—perfect for those who need to squeeze in a meal without prior reservations. While it may not have the same fame as Don Julio or La Cabrera, Calden del Soho offers mouthwatering steaks at wallet-friendly prices, with generous portions that won't break the bank.
Very good experience, nice, traditional ambiance and food and wine, cost effective. Meat was delicious, we tried the "chorizo" and the "ojo de bife", both were excellent. Good service too. Better make a reservation, we saw a lot of people not being able to find a table as it was full. Highly recommended!
Rodrigo W — Google review
The food here is amazing! I had the rib eye (ojo de bife) and it was perfect — juicy red center with a crispy fat cap, exactly how an Argentine parrilla should be. Just a heads-up for folks from North America: their “medium” is more like a medium-rare back home. The beef is grass-fed, simply seasoned with salt, and grilled over wood or charcoal, so you really taste the flavor. Add the crusty bread and spicy chimichurri, and I was in heaven. Bonus: they give a discount if you pay cash. Definitely worth it!

An unforgettable experience at Calden del Soho Grill I've been to many steakhouses, but Calden del Soho Grill in Buenos Aires stood out for its excellence across the board. From the moment I walked in, I sensed an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease. The staff deserves special mention: not only were they incredibly professional and attentive in suggesting the perfect pairing with local wines, but the service was impeccable, always present but never intrusive.

I visited this place based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. The bread was stale and lacked flavor, the rúcula salad was overly sweet, and the mashed potatoes tasted strongly of margarine. The ribs we ordered were also disappointing—tough and full of connective tissue and fat. While the service was acceptable, it took a long time to receive our check."

My dining experience at this restaurant was exceptional from start to finish. The quality of the meat was outstanding—expertly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, showcasing a clear attention to detail in the kitchen. The service was equally impressive, characterized by professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality that elevated the entire evening. The wine selection complemented the meal beautifully, with smooth, well-balanced options that paired perfectly with each course. Overall, the combination of excellent cuisine, refined service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a high-caliber dining experience.

THE BEST PLACE TO EAT. I wanted to visit after finding out Freddie mercury had been and we walked in at 12:30 and was greeted with the biggest smile. The place is adorable and the food well, the food is the best you will have! We had mushrooms from the farm and Chorizo to start, the mushrooms were out of this world. A had chicken from from the farm for main and my husband had the chorizo steak, perfectly cooked by the fabulous and funny chef. We shared Malbec pears for pudding- wow! We had a bottle of red as well and it was less than £70!!! Wish I’d found this place soon as would have visited more. The service was impeccable!

Aramburu Relais & Châteaux is a renowned restaurant in Buenos Aires, known for its elaborate and whimsical 19-course menu that offers a unique dining experience. Chef Gonzalo Aramburu's training with masters Martin Berasategui and Joel Robuchon is evident in the original dishes featuring foams, mousses, jellies, and spheres.
Everything was perfect. From the moment we sat down, to the very end 2.5 hours later we had a great time. It was really cool to be able to watch the kitchen cook, and everything we had was delicious. Going upstairs for desert at the end was a fun bonus too.

I must admit that I came with very high expectations and was ready to be disappointed. That was absolutely not the case from the moment we arrived we were greeted by the extremely nice host in that level of kindness followed for the rest of the night. We had a 15 course menu in each one was an absolute creative triumph. My husband is vegetarian and I am allergic to shellfish, but we were both presented with uniquely designed menu. The ambiance on the floor was like the movie The Menu, except our night ended in a better way on the second floor with wonderful desserts and cognac.

Life changing dining experience. Truly an elite restaurant worthy of the 2 star distinction. Menu changes seasonally with a wide selection of exquisite Argentinian wines. Vibe is a bit stuffy personally I prefer a bit of a livelier space but I totally understand their reasoning. Obviously very expensive but if you’re in CABA this is an incredible place for dinner.
Alex L — Google review
One of my best Michelin experiences. Every dish was creative, precise, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding, and Chef Gonzalo Aramburu personally came to our table a memorable touch to an unforgettable evening.
Luiz F — Google review
I thought about making this review for days. Aramburu is nowadays one of the high end experiences that Buenos Aires has. I wont talk about the plates because it would ruin your experience. My only advice is that you have to go with the idea of trying something new, different, unique. Having michelin stars it doesn’t mean that is going to be the best food you have ever tried. Because food is not something tangible, it depends on your mood, on your feelings and memories on that expecific moment. Nevertheless I will guarantee you that is going to be an experience you will remember for years. Using local and stational food extracting 100% its potential to each ingredient. The service is beyond perfection, a gorgeous place. You must go.
Agustin C — Google review
Background: Aramburu is a Michelin two star restaurant located in Buenos Aires. We sat at the chef’s table which was to the side, facing the kitchen. This allowed us to watch some of the dishes being made and refined. Strengths: Great food, made reservations without any research on the menu and I was very happy with everything I was served. We were able to easily communicate being primarily English speakers. The servers were attentive and brought out our plates once we had completed the previous one, servers also kept our table tidy. When traveling I tend to not wear anything ostentatious, and was happy to not be made to feel out of place in a simple dress. Dessert service takes place upstairs which really allowed us to feel relaxed and not rushed after our meal. Weaknesses: While not a difficult location to find, we had to wait for someone to open the door to greet us, even though we had arrived promptly for our reservation. This left us to awkwardly stand outside wondering if the restaurant was indeed open. It is a bit dark in the restrooms. Purse accommodations: Accommodations were available in the form of a purse hanger. I would recommend to bring a shoulder bag. Overall: Strengths clearly outweigh the weaknesses, and I would highly recommend. The Michelin rating is deserved with their attention to detail. Notes: Please note that these photos are from April 2025. I did not select to do the optional wine pairing.
Korra C — Google review
Really underwhelming if you’ve been to a lot of good restaurants. How this place has 2 stars is beyond me? Maybe it’s because I was a solo diner but having been to multiple Michelin places not experienced something so overrated and disappointing. Was really looking forward as been to Noma 2x, Boraga in Chile, Azafran in Mendoza and El Papagayo in Cordoba (which doesn’t even have a Michelin rating) to name a few. This felt like a factory with very little personal attention and care. I opted for the full menu with wines ($400+), they served food without proper accompanying wine at one point and petit fours where tea which arrived well after I and already finished them. I was lucky being given an option not to move for dessert and chose not to as it looked like a cafeteria upstairs. In general it felt like it was all a bit rushed. The wines were good but I thought the main dish was too salty (and I love salt. Overall the food was not that much better than places I’d been for a fraction of the price. I had king crab in Santolla in Chile which was outstanding and am starting to believe the Michelin guide may be biased or not very good at keeping tabs on what they award. Overall the meal and wines were worth half the price (at most) - in my opinion. Will also add the toilet didn’t flush and only one toilet was available thereafter. Definitely not what I’d expect at this calibre and price range.

I was at the Aramburu just over a year ago and I had a really good time. As i was alone i asked to be seated right next to the entrance to the kitchen so was I was able to watch them. They took good care of me and explained me everything really well! I really enjoyed my time there!

Casa Cavia is a magnificent mansion in Palermo, Buenos Aires, that has been transformed into a multifaceted space. It houses a modern restaurant and bar with a charming garden, as well as a flower shop and publishing house. The cuisine is curated by Julieta Caruso, an experienced chef from the renowned Mugaritz restaurant in the Basque Country. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner options.
What a great evening for a peaceful and delicious dinner in Buenos Aires. Coming from San Francisco I wanted to eat as much Argentinian food as I could. The chef here is very creative and I ate some food that I never ate before. For example, the fish was grilled protection and then had a Sauce with the crunch coming from shaved cauliflower. It’s worth a nice visit and a relaxing evening. You can dress up or dress down. There’s even a little scene going on. This is one of the places to go.

Lovely restaurant with a beautiful courtyard. Food-wise however, there are better restaurants in Palermo with less than half of their price. Also each portion is very small here as expected in fine dining restaurants. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, but it was a touch overcooked, therefore a little dry. Sourdough bread was nice and moist inside, but a bit too chewy outside. Traditional Argentinian dessert was beautiful. Service was fine, inattentive at times when the restaurant got busy. Overall, nice dining experience for the atmosphere but I was expecting better quality food from a Michelin restaurant.

Casa Cavia isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience. Nestled inside a beautifully restored 1920s mansion in Palermo Chico, this absolute gem blends gastronomy, design, literature, and art under one stunning roof. From the moment I arrived, I felt like “This would be good …” and so it was.

Absolutely stunning place, a renovated mansion turned restaurant. My friend and I ordered the tea for two, which came with an incredible amount of food for the price, and while everything was delicious, the highlight were the scone. I would return just for those. The staff was friendly and the heat lamps in the patio kept it from getting too cold.

✨ A Hidden Gem in Palermo Chico ✨ Nestled inside a stunning mansion in Palermo Chico, Casa Cavia feels like stepping into a dream where architecture, food, and culture blend seamlessly. It’s the kind of place that draws you in for lunch or coffee – and then makes you want to rearrange your day just to stay a little longer. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and ready to guide you through a menu that’s equal parts elegant and delicious. Each dish is a celebration of fresh, local ingredients – simple yet sophisticated. And while the food is incredible, the real magic happens in the back garden, where the ambiance steals the show. Think of it as more than a restaurant – it’s an experience. Casa Cavia carries that Michelin-worthy charm without feeling too formal. Honestly, I came for lunch before heading to Malba, but next time? I might visit Malba just because I’m already at Casa Cavia. 😏

When I arrived for my brunch reservation I was seated and waited for almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to ask if I would like something to drink. I finally got up and asked the lady at the coffee counter for help. I ordered the pasta with fava beans and peas and was quite disappointed. The pasta was overcooked and wet, the dish did not have any distinguishable flavor. The decor is beautiful and the outdoor area is a serene and beautiful place however the food and service are not what I had hoped and expected. I had very high expectations for a restaurant that gets high acclaim. I hope this was a one off experience. Perhaps brunch is not the time to go here.

Great service, delicious food, and truly wonderful atmosphere! This is a delightful, peaceful spot to stop for merienda. The rest of the menu looked very creative and enticing, as well, so I'll have to go back for a full meal. The prices are relatively high but seemed commensurate with the great quality food and experience as a whole. The staff was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommended! EDIT: I went back for a light lunch, and I was absolutely blown away by what I ordered! The liláceas, vieiras tostadas y ajo blanco (a starter that I ordered for my main meal), was an explosion of freshness and deep flavor! I don't remember the last time I had a dish that truly made my mouth water just thinking about it. The individual ingredients were of excellent quality and were exquisitely prepared. I had the panna cotta de jengibre con cítricos y cedrón for dessert, which was wonderfully light and not too sweet with perfectly balanced flavors. The staff was, again, absolutely wonderful. What a great experience!

Chori is a vibrant and casual eatery known for its creative sausage sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. The star of the menu is the choripan, a classic Argentine street food featuring a simple yet delicious combination of chorizo sausage grilled over wood charcoal, nestled in a soft bun, and topped with flavorful chimichurri sauce. This popular dish is a staple in Argentina, enjoyed by locals before football matches, favored by taxi drivers, and readily available at markets and street stalls.
Very good choripan! The Nice neighbourhood of Palermo contributes to the vibes! Street food in a hipster place is sweet! To try but pricy for what you get. It’s a fast food/ street food that you get on plastic tray. Can we please avoid to put tips on the paying machine?
Giorgio F — Google review
Super tasty spot! I’ve tried both the smoked and the classic choripán — the smoked is definitely the winner. The ensalada de choclo is alright, but I’d go for the fries instead — better flavour and a more generous portion. The choripán itself is on the smaller side, but it’s absolutely delicious. Highly recommend getting it with the garlic mayo and a Patagonia beer. I’ve been before and I’ll definitely be back!

Good spot for a classic local dish done right. I went for the traditional choripán and paired it with a Patagonia beer, great combo. (Small personal gripe: not a huge fan of the Stella Artois pint glasses, but that’s just me) My partner tried the beef choripán. Definitely not traditional, more like a burger, but good all the same! We visited on a quiet weekday afternoon. The place had a relaxed vibe with good music playing. Overall, an enjoyable experience. Would happily come back.

Chorizo on a bun is a new experience for me and my life is forever changed. Burgers wish they could be this tasty and flavourful. Great combo of flavours for each type of chorizo. Fries were just ok, could have been hotter or fresher. Nice combo deals with drinks.

I ordered the Porteño Choripan. The sandwich itself was great, the fries were ok. Total combo was around $20k. One thing that I don’t appreciate is that even though you line up to order and they don’t bring the food to you, they ask for tip.

Centrally located in Palermo. More of a gourmet take on the original choripan sandwich. The corn salad is very good. Takes credit card. Prices are higher than the rest of Buenos Aires, as any other place in the Palermo neighborhood.

La Cocina, a long-time favorite in San Telmo, is led by the renowned chef Leandro Lele Cristobal and his right-hand Mercedes Solis. The restaurant is famous for its Argentine dishes with Spanish and Italian influences, such as pastas and milanesas. Additionally, visitors can stop by La Vermuteria at the front of the restaurant for quick bites or visit the small vermouth bar and tapas at Cafe San Juan.
This place is incredible! Such lovely staff really keen to talk about their family business and how things are in Buenos Aires in 2025! The picachu empanada is famous for a reason! The sweet and smoky flavour is a secret they guard with jest! Highly, highly recommended!

I would come here everyday of my life if I could. Laid back atmosphere, amazing flavors and empanadas. Simple and perfect. The spicy beef wasn’t too spicy and I highly recommend
Danielle M — Google review
One of those places worthy of the food blogs hype. On a Tuesday afternoon the line was short. I got the beef and the “piccachu”, each worthy and full of flavor. Piping hot. Dough uniquely Argentinian. Left extremely satisfied. 2-3 USD each. Don’t expect kindness, it’s quick and go, as a city should be.

Great little Empanada place. Looks old and authentic. Nice interior. Due to the Fernet sign I tried to order one but they don’t have. Quite busy. Yummy food!

Those were great empanadas but nothing insane. I think I had better some other places. I only really liked the beef ones, the rest is just okay. The owner/person working there is super friendly and fun. Great service and lovely people.

Don't listen to 1 star reviews as most of them love judging books by their cover and expect such businesses to spend hard earned money on looks and comfort instead of the food! I came at 730pm when they just opened up and everything served was served straight out of the oven! Caution it's going to hot so break it in half and let the steam escape! The reviews will mention Pikachu over and over and they are all correct it's amazing! MUST TRY! I had the beef and chicken as well which were great but the Pikachu and Flan were simply fantastic!

The food was incredible. We tried the chicken, beef and spicy beef empanadas. All were very delicious. We also had a piece of apple pie, which was delicious. The service was quite friendly and the food came quickly. The atmosphere is very unique and nostalgic. I did find that the restaurant was a bit dirty overall. Dirty tables and used napkins all over the floor. The only beverage offered was water. No pop or beer available, which for a restaurant I found strange. No bathroom availability.

Nestled just a few blocks from the Chacarita cemetery and Los Andes park, Picaron is a delightful representation of an Argentine bistro in 2022. Under the guidance of Chef Maxi Rossi, who has honed his culinary skills across Europe, this eatery offers a seasonal menu that caters to diverse dietary preferences—meat lovers, vegans, vegetarians, and those needing gluten-free options will all find something to savor.
Such a great restaurant. Clearly a great team in the kitchen, the food is interesting and delicious. I really liked the flavor combos.

Interesting ingredient combination to make the dishes. It's tasty. It's a tapas portion. I think 3 dishes per person is better than 2 as suggested. We had Quill which served like Peking duck. The zucchini with anchovies, Olivier and cheese is a very innovative dish. I like the pineapples desert which is fresh.

Great offers at Picaron for lunch, we really liked all the dishes: catch of the day, corn slices, scallops, and Calamar. The savor of the dishes was outstanding. No reservations are required for lunchtime, contrary to nighttime. Definitely, we will return to taste more dishes.

Delicious and unique food. Exceptional calamari with spicy sauce. We loved the salad paired with burrata. Complimentary parking is a must

What a fantastic restaurant. The menu is super simple, with only handful of total items on it. But quality over quantity is definitely how they are here. I shared a bunch of dishes family-style with a group, so I got to try many of them. I'm just going to list them with a quick note for what I thought: Burned Eggplant - best eggplant dish I've ever had. The cream was insanely good especially Sourdough Bread - really good bread, some butter or something along side would've been nice Roasted Sweet Potatoes - literally one of the first times I've liked something made from sweet potatoes. Just amazing Tonnato Maiale - pretty good, but nothing special Cauliflower - I'm not a huge fan of cauliflower personally but it was alright Smores - my personal favorite of everything I tried tonight. A must have if you're getting dessert here, it was just perfect! White Wine Pear - pretty good Saffron Ice Cream - personally my least favorite dessert dish they had, but decent nonetheless Kumquats Sorbet - pretty solid (no photo) Lemonade - why not mention it, right? It was also pretty good but nothing special necessarily

Wonderful experience. Am always a fan of small serving and Picaron was one of my favourite. The food was so tasty that in one bite we were able to taste a lot of different flavours. They don’t take reservations so in case you want to visit then try to be early if not it’s a small place so it may become difficult to get a table.

Very good place with creative dishes. Some of them amazing, some a bit less yet very interesting. The best was by far the smoked fish with radish. Sweet potato with Girgola ceviche was super interesting. And the meet was super tasty, although the salad above it does not add much.

Such a gem. We went for lunch and had two entrees (charred asparagus on a creamy miso and sunflower sauce, top notch Aubergine beautifully cooked with some crazy crumbles and the catch of the day - done to perfection on a bag a cauda sauce with edamames. Mengano is a standout restaurant in Buenos Aires, known for its modern take on traditional 'bodegon' cuisine. Facundo Kelemen, with experience from global restaurants, showcases his culinary expertise through dishes like the milanesa sandwich and deer tartare. Visitors praise the professional atmosphere and high-quality food, recommending the creative and impressive Argentine offerings.
Absolutely perfect time at Mengano! Everything was so delicious. Atmosphere is intimate and romantic, reservations definitely needed for when we went on Saturday. Gnocchi was insanely tender and the tartare was very special and well done. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed watching the chefs cook. They were very friendly to two Americans who don’t speak Spanish as well! Our top 3 meals in Argentina in our past week, easily.

Perfect experience at Mengano! The food and service were superb. The atmosphere of the restaurant is super intimate- perfect for a date night. The dishes are tapas style which means they are pretty small but are great for sharing with your partner. I highly recommend the empanadas which were so juicy and yummy. The lamb tarter and the gnocchi.

Every dish was a delicious, especially the gnocchis and the seafood rice, which were standout favorites. The ambiance is wonderful, and the service was top-notch, making us feel truly taken care of. It’s worth noting that the experience is not cheap, with no dessert we paid $70 per person. But tried a lot of dishes. However, the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere made it a memorable outing. Highly recommend for special occasions!

What an amazing experience we had here! From the food, to the setting, and the atmosphere- everything was professional and high quality. We had a delicious Malbec to start and ordered 10 plates which was more than enough for four people. Each dish came in a special juice that really elevated the flavors. The food was just so creative and delicious. I would highly recommend Mengano if you are visiting Palermo and want a creative and impressive version of Argentine food.

This is the other side of Argentinian food experience I was hoping to find… creative, exciting & fun. The tomato stuffed with fish & lemon was so delicately balanced, lamb tartare was amazing, & the crispy rice with seafood was like the upside down paella I always wanted! But the showstopper for me was the children covered in suckling pig. Turns out it was all ‘baby pig’ not really children but it was still my favourite 😁 The dessert was ok too! 😂 Unique flavours, extensive wine list & a lovely team, Mengano is impressive.
Glenda T — Google review
The plates have a good presentation, but the food is bland. The amount of food in relation to the quality and price is not worth it. It’s expensive, bland, and small. You can eat way better in Buenos Aires for the same price. The ambiance inside was full of mosquitoes, and the plates weren’t coordinated so we had to wait a lot between each one. To top it all off, they don’t serve coffee, which is hilarious and cheap. You can eat literally anywhere else and it’ll be a better experience.

Ácido offers a diverse and inventive menu with delicious food that has earned it a strong reputation. While some may find the prices on the higher side, many patrons appreciate the quality and creativity of the dishes. The restaurant's standout dish, featuring an exceptional sauce, has garnered particular praise. Additionally, Ácido is recognized for its reliability and has been awarded 1 Michelin star for its excellence.
It’s fun when you go for the food, and are surprised by the eclectic vibe of interesting dishes, glassware and floor lamps! The fried chicken with all its side sauces and pickled vegetables were outstanding! Also really enjoyed the Dry-Aged Patty Melt with a tasty pickle. This is the smallest menu I’ve seen in Buenos Aires and appreciate a restaurant doing some select seasonal dishes really well!

The food here is excellent. We enjoyed every dish we tried, the heirloom tomatoes and squid fried rice were the highlights. On the pricier side in BA, but worth it.
Matthew G — Google review
A lovely eclectic atmosphere for dinner! The menu wasn’t the most extensive, but the items they had were delicious and portions were large. Each dish is listed on the menu based on its size. The waiters are very friendly and the kitchen was open concept and cool to watch.
Tess C — Google review
Cute intimate place in chacarita, trendy menu…however a bit overated is think, el crudo de langostinos was salty, and the chipirones where ok! And la ensalada rusa was pretty good…I will definitely return to try the other stuff on the menu, to understand the hype around Ácido.
Jazmin C — Google review
Vibes immaculate, wine excellent. We were a party of one vegan and two total Portenos. So much meat we had to take some home for brunch. Excellent improvised vegan salad. 10/10
Sarah W — Google review
Ácido is a place with an energized atmosphere and undeniable soul, tucked away in a remote neighborhood of CABA. The facilities are simple, but the environment attracts a young, hyped crowd. The kitchen serves dishes with a charming presentation and a simple flavor, in the style of "very well-made home cooking," but without the creativity or complexity expected of a Michelin-recognized restaurant. The menu is extremely small, more like that of a wine bar. The service was the weakest point: they don't accept reservations, and there were communication difficulties due to the lack of English-speaking staff. Conclusion: Ácido is worth the visit for its energy and cool, laid-back atmosphere, but it does not justify the Bib Gourmand recognition. There is neither inventive cuisine nor excellent service. It's a good wine bar with hype, but not a must-visit gastronomic destination. I liked it, but I wouldn't return or recommend it to anyone looking for a complete Michelin experience.
Marcelo P — Google review
Quite disappointed, I asked the server what is popular we were two people and he would suggests the most expensive dishes on the menu and they weren’t good.. clearly they were trying to take advantage of us being tourists asking every 15 min if we wanted wine when we clearly said no many times

Café Tortoni, established in 1858, stands as a historic gem in Buenos Aires and is renowned for its French-style ambiance. This iconic café has long been a gathering place for the city's cultural elite, including celebrated figures like Jorge Luis Borges and Carlos Gardel. The venue buzzes with artistic energy, hosting live tango performances and various musical events that continue to attract both locals and tourists alike.
The atmosphere is the real highlight here — full of history and charm. I enjoyed the Patagonia flower tea, which was surprisingly good, and the churros with hot chocolate were classic. Food itself is nothing special and service felt rushed with the tourist crowds, but it’s worth a stop to soak in the setting.
Justin C — Google review
The atmosphere here is truly charming — cozy, historical, and full of character. I had to wait in line for about 45 minutes, but in the end it was definitely worth it to check out this must-visit spot. The bakery items were freshly made, and the coffee was decent as well, making for a nice combination. The staff impressed me with how professional, organized, and fast they were, even with so many people around. And of course, the highlight was the tango show — absolutely impressive, full of passion and energy, and something that perfectly captures the spirit of Buenos Aires. Overall, a memorable experience that I would recommend despite the wait.

I usually don’t visit cafe’s and restaurant’s recommended by travel guides, but this time, the recommendation was spot on! I didn’t know what to expect. A grande entrance with 2 large doors. When you walk in, it feels like you are walking into an opera house. The lighting, ambience, people talking, laughter, and staff moving between tables whilst smiling. Organized chaos and feel good environment. I have never seen or experienced a cafe in such a grande scale. It was like watching live drama unfolding in reality. I was looked after by Yamii. Great service from her and a very pleasurable person to converse with. It was a highlight of my trip to Buenos Aires! Please do visit this place even if you have to queue up outside for some time. It will be worth it!

Café Tortoni is a fascinating place — stepping inside feels a bit like traveling back in time. The menu is a little unusual (cake for breakfast, anyone?), but the food was actually quite good. You can tell the service is optimized for efficiency rather than a leisurely dining experience, yet it’s still absolutely worth a visit for the atmosphere and historic charm alone.
Raul R — Google review
Live tango dance. Amazing hot chocolate. The lemon pie was amazing as well. The vibe was cozy and intimate. We got there around 3 and the wait wasn’t that long, however when we left at 3:45 there was a long line.
Zareefa A — Google review
This is a tourist must-go place. After seeing much of street cafe shops selling similar bakeries pastries, I think it's time to try authentic traditional cafe even with long line. The menus are in Spanish, we need google translator and an english speaking waiter to explain to us. For simplicity we chose a combo for 2- Té del Atardecer (2 infusiones, 2 copas de jugo de naranja exprimido, tostado mixto, alfajor, brownie, 2 medialunas, 2 churros, tostadas, manteca y mermelada). Well it might be for breakfast, it did not matter. The food is so so, I'm not coffee lover, so no comments on coffee. I did enjoy the classic decor with history, in the middle someone briefly showcased bit of tango, that's bit of surprise. Overall we did enjoy our experience.
Zemin B — Google review
After reading loads of reviews about this 'must visit' place in Buenos Aires, I thought I would give it a go. I think others must have been thinking the same things as the first two times there were really long queues outside, which only made me more determined to go in and see what all the hype was about. We managed to get a table in the late afternoon and the understood its popularity. It was like stepping back in time. The design of the place was very art deco and amazing to look at. There were live tango dancers moving between the tables. I expected the food to be over priced given its popularity, but was really surprised that it wasn't. It was like travelling back in time, a great experience and highly recommended.
Jensen I — Google review
Café Tortoni is not just a coffee house but a beautifully preserved portal to Buenos Aires's storied past, making it an essential destination for any visitor. Its history begins in 1858 when Jean Touan, a French immigrant, opened the original establishment; it later moved to its iconic, current address at Avenida de Mayo 825 in 1880, establishing itself as the cultural heart of the city. The moment you step through its doors, you are immersed in belle-époque splendor, surrounded by dark polished wood, marble tables, stained glass, and evocative portraits of Argentine cultural legends who once frequented its halls. While enjoying a classic café con leche and churros, the atmosphere itself - filled with the echo of poets, tango masters, and intellectuals - provides a uniquely romantic and historically resonant experience. It successfully maintains its century-old elegance and charm, offering delicious treats and a vibrant evening tango show, cementing its status as a living cultural monument and a delightful place to pause and soak up the city's spirit.

My husband and I are visiting from the U.S. and decided to try the 9-course meal at this restaurant. The staff was fluent in both English and Spanish, and everyone was incredibly professional and helpful. They explained each meat and dish in detail, cooking and plating everything right in front of us. The atmosphere was perfect for both couples and groups of friends. Every single dish was absolutely delicious — some of the best meat we’ve ever had! The short ribs, in particular, were fall-off-the-bone tender, and every bite was bursting with flavor. It truly felt like the food melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting!

Fogón .. an absolute experience! •The atmosphere 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ •The staff 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ they were great and absolutely on their game! •The food 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️was astounding, a bit too much but absolutely delightful •The wine 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I think the wine program could use some help. For a Michelin restaurant I think there needs to be more of an option than just the wine pairing. In other words if you’ve not been there before your only option is to have their set wine pairing. You can’t order a glass or a bottle of wine only the pairing. In my opinion only one of the wines paired well with one of the courses. The rest were mediocre and a couple were not on par for a Michelin level dinner. I would recommend they change that program. Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think you get an amazing experience for the price. In the States, Europe, Japan and experience like that would cost hundreds per person. •Final notes. Go hungry take some pictures and put your phone away and enjoy this wonderful experience. The staff will take care of every need and are there to make sure your experience is exceptional.
David F — Google review
It’s a gourmet asado place. Honestly, for the price we paid, it wasn’t worth it. It doesn’t even come close to a real Argentinian asado. We also paid extra for the wine pairing, and they only gave us one glass per course (5 tastings) with no refills, even though they explained it differently before we bought it. In total, we spent around 320,000 ARS (about 232 USD) per person. For that price, we expected a much better overall experience.

A fantastic experience. We had the tasting menu with matched wine. The food was outstanding and the service brilliant. Plenty of wine for only one payment of $38,000! Highly recommended the experience, seeing the chefs cook whilst they explain the cuts was so interesting. We had also been to don julio but have to say Fogon was far superior and a lot better value.
R S — Google review
It's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. From the moment you're greeted at the door you're taken care of very carefully. The ambient is amazing, the order of the room with all the tables circling the fire in the middle prepares you for what's to come. Each table gets a staff member assigned. From there they'll start explaining to you about the next plate. The food was spectacular, the wine accompaniment is also in harmony with the food. The music adds to the ambient but without being too loud for a conversation. As the event is going towards the end you'd wish it'd never end. An unforgettable evening. Highly recommended.

***A pre-paid, reservation-only immersive dining experience that will please most if on their first day visit of Buenas Aires*** This will likely please most if on their first day visit to blBuenas Aires. My wife and I are on our 5th day and have already feasted various asados around town from those boutique parrilla offerings in San Telmo Mkt to Don Julio and anything in between. Unfortunately, there was no wow-no woo for us. Still, it’s a decent experience that will please most. Very hospitable chefs and servers explaining each dish before they course out 9 or 14 dish options that wraps up in approx 2.5 hrs. Star of the show was the Pine Cone smoked Flat Iron. Finale (ribeye) was actually a let-down as it lacked the signature Argentine smokey-ness and intensity. Weak outer layer that made the whole rib eye chow down like a sou vide first then weak sear on a non stick pan.

Memorable experience! We enjoyed the 8 course meal. Every bite was sensational. I personally LOVED food (e.g. sweetbread) that I would otherwise not eat. The location is great, the service attentive, the dining experience outstanding. One suggestion, would be not to insist on offering the wine pairing for 5 times… Overall, one of the best table I’ve ever been to.

Felicidades to the staff and the chef! What a great dining experience. The price tag, especially for Argentina, is no joke, quite on the high side. But each dish was fantastic, with novel flavors and a great story. Our servers were super attentive and knowledgeable, especially Zacarías, the sommelier and the postre chefs who came out and prepared our dish to order for us right at the table. I don't usually like going back to the same restaurant twice, especially not one this expensive, plus in BA there are tons of places to try, but I would put Amarra on my "Go Back Again" list along with places like Julia. Oh, and the garlic raviolis.....yummmm!

Nice ambiance and we were surrounded by cool-helpful-young-bubbly staffs. Did wine pairing and had 7 different types of local wines to go with each dish. Food is unique with fun and unexpected flavours that tingles. Every dish is also very well presented.

Simply magical. My wife and I came last weekend and had a spectacular experience. They opted for the 7 course meal with wine pairing, each course providing an absolute party in our mouth. The Chilean sea bass, beef in raspberry sauce and mango ice cream and cheese cookie for desert were all unforgettable. Service was fantastic. A complete bargain of an experience; we shall be back!

It was a meal of two halves: the savory courses were mostly average but the desserts were spectacular. To comment on the savory dishes: whilst the cooking techniques were masterful, the food itself wasn’t very tasty. The octopus and white catch (fish) were too salty whilst some of the accompaniments lacked flavor. The angus beef was over cooked and whilst my sweetbread was tasty, my partners sweetbread contained so much sinew that he had to spit it out. However - the desserts! Our highlight was the fantastic ‘sweet and cheese’ final course. Sandwiching ice cream between a thin layer of quince jelly, cheddar-like cheese and cheese biscuits was genius. Probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever had - a wonderful mix of tastes and textures!

Amazing food and wine pairing, deserves at least 2 Michelin stars, amazing!! Had some of the best dishes in my life...and I am comparing to 1 to 3 Michelin star restaurants in France, Sweden etc. The bill is nothing since the euro/dollar is so strong compared to peso, we paid 15 000 for tasting menu+ one extra course + wine pairing for 2 people! Would definitely go back, recommend strongly!

What a beautiful dinner experience! The ambience in the restaurant is fantastic, dimmed lights, stylish interior. We were a bigger group of 8 and had the most incredible wooden table with integrated plants, absolutely stunning! The menu offered a broad and creative variety and as to be expected, they easily catered for dairy- and glutenfree. We tried plenty of dishes and everything was delicious. Our favorite was the octopus - incredibly tasty. Our waiter, Juan, and all the other staff did an awesome job in taking care of us. We enjoyed a lovely evening and can only highly recommend. El Obrero is a renowned bodegon in the historic neighborhood of La Boca, Buenos Aires. This iconic restaurant has been serving prime cuts since 1910 and offers an authentic porteno experience. The walls are adorned with soccer and boxing memorabilia, creating a nostalgic ambiance that transports diners to a bygone era. Despite its unchanged appearance since the 1950s, El Obrero provides extremely hospitable service.
El Obrero is a classic in Buenos Aires. Not far from La Bombonera, on Barrio de La Boca, it's a gem in this neighbourhood. It's true that it is easy to find great restaurants and amazing meat in Buenos Aires, but El Obrero is a highlight on the city. When we visited it, it was only opened for dinners. You will probably read a lot about how dangerous it can be this south part of the city, but we truly had no problems. We walked there, from the stadium, and we left by bus. You can also take a taxi, and it should be no problem. Of course, regular caution should be taken. Inside, the environment is great and football scarves and jerseys are the regular decoration. They serve angentinian food, with a great focus on the grills. We had Bife Chorizo and Bife Lomo, to try two different cuts. They were both grilled "al punto", which is slightly more grilled than we are used to, but we trusted the recommendation. They were both great, and we preferred the lomo - a bit more pink, juicy and tasty. The service was also very close and familiar. Despite the location, I strongly recommend it to give El Obrero the chance it deserves.

A wonderful local gem where you will barely find a tourist. Fabulous meat, excellent vegs, a lovely service and you can pay by card. Just try to avoid days of football matches if you're not in the spirit!

The international menu, curated by executive chef Maximiliano Rossi, features innovative offerings such as activated charcoal empanadas, almond ricotta gnudi, jackfruit bao, and avocado lime tart.
Excellent service. A beautiful veggie place to have an special night 🫶🏼 Emanuel treatment was great!

Delicious creative food, lovely mixture of flavours and textures. Beautiful interior. Slow service. Upset they didn’t have two items they had listed on the menu. Good value for money. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the chocolate cake, felt it was too rich.
Nadia C — Google review
First of all, this is NOT a vegan restaurant. The marketing is a bit confusing because they talk about being plant based and it’s not. About half of the menu is fish, and they also use dairy yogurt on one dish. That said, we enjoyed the meal. The service was really great and the food was yummy. I’d go back if I was in the neighborhood again sometime.

The place is good, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, but some things were weird. We ordered 3 starters: eggplant was very delicious, the one was alioli and mushrooms was amazing!!!! The avocado curry was good. We ordered two main dishes, the ravioli with mushrooms were fine, but the lion mushroom steak was veryyy spicy, it was not possible to eat, we gave up after trying one piece. We told about it to waiter and he removed the steak from our table, but included it to the bill…it was so weird they cooked uneatable food and made us pay for it, they didn’t offer any other solution like change the dish or make a discount, or remove it from the bill as well. Than writer asked us for tips…Ofcourse we didn’t tip him, it would be so strange to pay extra after we paid money for the dish we didn’t even eat. Also when we made a reservation we specified ”two people, both vegetarian, birthday celebration” when we came the waiter asked us how many people…if we have a food restrictions…why did we spend time for filling the form on the website if they didn’t even check it? And ofcourse there was nothing special for celebration… We were surprised they have fish because in Michelin guide they were marked as a veg place. It was smelly in the room bc of fish. Music was terrible like techno on the rural discotheque, too loud and too hard for the dinner. Drinks (moctales and combucha) were very tasty, we liked them a lot!

Sacro is an amazing spot in Buenos Aires — beautiful, thoughtful, and delicious. We went on a Sunday around noon and had a fantastic experience. The place is full of plants, beautifully designed, and has a warm, peaceful vibe. They let us stay with our dog in the inner patio, which was well-heated and super comfortable — a big plus! The menu is not huge, but it’s full of creative, well-balanced dishes. The avocado and eggplant starters were outstanding — flavorful, beautifully presented, and unique. You can tell there’s real care in the food and how it's served. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional without being pushy. The whole place feels intentional and well-run. Whether you're vegetarian, pescatarian, or just love great food and great spaces, Sacro is a must-visit in Buenos Aires. Highly recommended.

My wife and I came for dinner at a restaurant that is supposedly listed in the Michelin Guide. We ordered the following: two empanadas, curried cheese (some kind of cheese), I had the fish of the day, and my wife ordered grilled prawns. We also ordered water and two non-alcoholic cocktails. I was asked in what order we wanted the dishes served. I said: first the empanadas, then the cheese, and finally the main dishes. Here’s what happened. First, we received the empanadas. Then they brought the fish of the day and another dish we didn’t order. We asked where the cheese was — they said it was still being prepared. The waitress said she would just leave the other (incorrect) dish on the table. I didn’t understand the reasoning behind that, but she left it anyway. The dish just sat there. It was strange. My wife told me to go ahead and eat the fish so it wouldn’t get cold, so we did - one dish for two. Later, the waitress came back, said she would take away the incorrect dish, and left without it. Then she came and took away the incorrect dish. In a while they brought the grilled prawns and yet another dish — an eggplant — which we also didn’t order. We said again that we hadn’t ordered it. This was already the second mistake. They said sorry and took the dish back. No one really apologized. There were no complimentary items offered, no gesture of goodwill. Nothing. Frustrated by the situation, we refused the cheese. After eating the prawns, we asked for the bill. When it arrived, it included an extra dish that we hadn’t eaten. I asked where the fish of the day was, and they pointed to one of the items — but another fish dish was also listed. I said we didn’t eat two fish dishes. They started implying we had eaten both. I told them to check the cameras if they didn’t trust their customers. A young man left with a dissatisfied look, corrected the bill, returned, and charged us. Again, no apology. No compensation, no discount, no complimentary item. Nothing. This service is not Michelin Guide level by any standard. I won’t return to this restaurant, and I don’t recommend it to anyone. P.s. If Sacro staff think that after I ate something with a fork they can put it back dirty on the table so I can eat the next dish with it, how are you guys stay in Michelin Guide? P.s.s. We were served by tattooed red head waitress and a meiter skinny young man - guys it was horrible - I won’t forget your “trick” with the bill! Disgusting!

we came to the restaurant and ordered two appetizers and two hot dishes, as a result, the restaurant made a mistake twice with our dishes that we did not order, they also included them in the bill, although we did not touch them and they were removed from the table. after which the administrator tried to prove to us that we ate all these dishes. guys, this is terrible. how could this restaurant get into the Michelin guide. they did not even apologize to us, did not give us a discount. nothing! we will never come here again

Restaurante Narda Comedor is the brainchild of renowned chef Narda Lepes, a prominent figure in Argentina's culinary scene. Opened in 2017, the restaurant embodies Lepes' advocacy for healthy and seasonal eating. The menu emphasizes a balance of grains, legumes, and vegetables alongside various protein options. Narda Comedor reflects Lepes' commitment to promoting nutrition and showcasing the work of local producers.
We came here to eat a late lunch around 2 pm. The restaurant was still bustling and filled with diners. The servers were very attentive. Our Spanish is really not adequate to communicate well with a server who could speak English quite well came to help us. We have heard about the chef and this restaurant quite a bit so we ordered quite a few dishes to share. The chef paid close attention to the details of each dish, even the simple two pieces of bread with butter. Their bread was baked perfectly. The center was super moist and the crust had such amazing bite to it! All the dishes were impeccable and not heavy at all. We really appreciated all the fresh vegetables after eating days of heavy meat! We finished without filled stuffed! (Yes, there were only two of us that ate all these dishes!) It’s definitely a 5-star restaurant!!

Inventive, hearty, served with care -- equal to our high expectations. We went for early dinner on a weeknight. Started with a gin basil cocktail. Two had fish served with delightful and generous veggies. I had melt in your mouth ribs, accompanied by a sublime smoky pumpkin purée and crisp refreshing bitter greens salad. Surprising flavors and combinations, all wonderful.

The food is very good but not the stellar level we were expecting from reviews. I'm not quite sure I see it falling into its currently rated accolade of 60th spot on Latin America's 50 best (which is really 100 best). Service was friendly but inefficient, and with multiple missteps of forgotten dishes, drinks, and even setting the table with utensils.

This place has better PR than it does dishes. We ordered pomelo and orange drinks that needed more sugar. The salad with lemon vinaigrette was hardly edible because every few bites there were twigs that you just couldn’t chew. Moreover the osso bucco needed so much more salt for any of the flavors to pop. Perhaps the best part was the bibimbop with pancetta. We had to flag down servers for help which was not ideal, but they did provide good service once we got their attention.

Copying my review of Narda’s Lokanta. Menu is different but conceptually the same. Nice fresh food But not amazing, specially considering the price Would repeat but not in my list of top places for sure From the dishes we ordered, niños envueltos was the highlight, picaña disappointed, not so tender or savory

La Alacena Trattoria is a restaurant in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires that offers a wide variety of international cuisines, including Italian, Japanese, Mediterranean, Israeli, and Korean. While it excels in local traditional dishes and grilled meats like other restaurants in the area, it stands out for its diverse international flavors. This makes it an appealing choice for gastronomy enthusiasts looking to explore different culinary traditions.
Fantastically delicious! The veal meatballs were the standout dish during our visit — but every plate was a joy. Our server, Hector, was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind, even answering questions in English when we struggled with our Spanish. Make sure you add some ciabatta to your order. You’ll be glad you did.
Seth A — Google review
This was a decent restaurant, but it didn't stand out to me as great. The one exception was the affogato. It's made with a coffee syrup and candied hazelnuts and is one of the best (if not the best) I've ever had. Aside from the affogato, we ordered a fennel salad, two pastas (lasagna and garganelli), and a chocolate torte. They all had good flavor. I've just had other versions of these items that I've liked better. The one technical issue was that the garganelli was undercooked. I like my pasta al dente, but this pasta was borderline crunchy. The service was all right. We had a hard time flagging down our server to get the bill, which hadn't been a struggle at other restaurants. The portion size is large, so you're definitely getting your money's worth on that front. Overall, this isn't a bad restaurant, but given all the press I'd seen on it and the need to make a reservation in advance, it's overhyped.

This place is so delicious, we came back a few days later and will probably try to go once more before we leave Argentina. The homemade pasta is rich, the sauces and fillings are decadent. The veal carpaccio is surprisingly refreshing. The asparagus appetizer tastes like summer. I wish I had time to try everything on this menu. My husband and I went during lunch on weekdays to ensure we could get a table.

Amazing pasta. Best carbonara in buenos aires. Every dish is perfectly balanced. The stracciatella starter has a strong flavour. Tortelloni with lemon sauce is incredible. Good value for the money.

La Alacena Trattoria in Palermo is a gem for anyone craving high-quality Italian food in Buenos Aires. The space is cozy but modern, with warm lighting, wood accents, and just enough bustle to create a lively atmosphere without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place that feels welcoming the moment you walk in, whether you’re dining as a couple, with friends, or solo. The food was excellent from start to finish. I ordered a pasta dish that was perfectly al dente, with a sauce that tasted fresh and layered with flavor. We also tried their homemade lasagna, which was hearty, rich, and beautifully presented — true comfort food elevated to restaurant level. The antipasti were flavorful, and dessert, especially the tiramisu, was creamy, balanced, and not overly sweet. The wine list had a thoughtful selection that paired well with the meal without being overwhelming or overpriced. Service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. Prices are a bit higher than average for Buenos Aires, but I consider it worth it given the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions, and the overall dining experience. La Alacena Trattoria is definitely a restaurant I would return to and recommend for anyone who appreciates Italian cuisine done right.

Good spot! We felt maybe it was a bit overhyped but the pasta was solid. We got the ravioli and pesto. Ravioli were better, both dishes had a bold flavor. But a lot of this comes down to palate. That said, the service was incredible. Leonardo is the man and was attentive the entire night. Also gave excellent recommendations 👌

Restaurante Corte Comedor is a casual eatery with a leafy terrace that specializes in grilled meat dishes. The restaurant's unique concept stems from its origins as a butcher shop, where they prioritize the traceability of their meat, ensuring they know the breed, upbringing, and feeding system of the animals they use. This approach allows them to utilize every part of the animal in their menu, showcasing a commitment to nose-to-tail dining.
A restaurant paired with a butcher shop is truly a winning formula. With top-quality ingredients and the perfect balance of fire and care, the result is outstanding. My ribeye was so incredible, it’s hard to think of anything that compares.

This restaurant is easy to get you from The Belgrano C train station. Reservations require a guarantee payment in case of no show. We asked for the Bife de Chorizo to be cooked Punto and the Ojo de Bife con hueso to be jugoso. The Ojo de Bife was served in a fancy sizzling fashion. Both cuts were tough and in our opinion chewy and over cooked. The salads were amazing. We had a peach tomato basil salad with a dressing that was divine. The kale salad was also delicious. It seems as though their ensaladas are seasonal, which makes the fresh and delicious. Other sides: the bread was delicious. The empanadas were really good. The french fries were cut correctly. We would definitely go back for the salads and sides!

The food was lovely but served rapid fire. We were barely halfway through eating the entrees before the main was brought to the table. I would have expected more attention to detail at this quality of restaurant and it made the experience feel like they were rushing us out to get the table back. And then its like they forgot us because we couldn't get their attention to request the check...then when we finally did ask for it, they never brought it. The entrees (tartare and croquettes) were excellent, the meat great, the vegetable sides (the leek and the broccoli) were ok.

Anchoita is a relatively new addition to the Buenos Aires dining scene, offering a diverse selection of wines curated by sommelier Valeria Mortara. The restaurant stands out for stocking world wines and features an intriguing array of verticals, including labels from Bodega Chacra and Zuccardi Q. Housed in a former textiles workshop that recently reopened, Anchoita has quickly become a sought-after dining spot with high demand for seats at the kitchen counter.
Nice experience overall. Their home-made utter was surprisingly good. Liked the open kitchen in the middle of the table. Cheese / charcuiterie section was cute and gives nice vibes. Servers were smiling and kind. Food was tasty - steak was cooked perfectly as we requested, eggplant was interesting, pasta in pasta was a bit difficult to understand but still good. Will be back!

Upscale restaurant - if you go an hour before they open and line up for waitlist, you can probably get a table if the size is reasonable. We got a table for 4 for 8pm which is when they open. Based on our tastebuds, the mains (meats) were pretty average but all the sides and desserts stood out. The mushrooms were divine, ice cream was super, beat salad was refreshing, onions were great, etc.
Susie S — Google review
I'm going to be a "the emperor has no clothes" person on this one. It's all decent, but nothing I'd go back for. The whole "we have no reservations until next year" is a PR game, the place never filled up, and the "hopefuls" line at the door all got seats. Sorry, but that many people didn't just fail to show up and leave tables open. Cooking and presentation were uneven, service was haphazard. And all rather expensive for what you get.

Anchoíta delivers a dining experience that feels both grounded in Argentine tradition and elevated by creative flair. From the moment you walk into its industrial-chic space, the atmosphere feels intimate yet unpretentious — dim lights, a well-curated playlist, and the buzz of the open kitchen create the perfect backdrop for a date night that feels special without trying too hard. The service strikes the right balance between attentiveness and distance, letting the food and company take center stage. The stuffed chipá arrived warm and slightly crisp on the outside, revealing a perfectly oozing center. The pâté de mollejas was a standout: rich, silky, and deeply flavored without being overwhelming, paired beautifully with fresh bread and pickles that cut through its intensity. The main, merluza negra with lemon, was simple on paper but extraordinary on the plate — flaky, moist, and bathed in a citrus-forward sauce that brightened every bite. There’s a quiet confidence in how the kitchen lets each ingredient shine. Drinks were part of the narrative. Each cocktail felt curated to surprise: nuanced, aromatic, and unlike the usual offerings elsewhere in the city. Anchoíta isn’t just serving good food; it’s crafting an experience that feels wholly its own. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning to return — not out of routine, but because it gives you something to remember.

It was late and we didn’t have a reservation but the host was more than accommodating and sat us at the bar for a drink while they prepared our table. The bar staff was excellent and we were sat at our table in about 15 minutes. Marcos our server was so helpful and very knowledgeable about everything in the menu, and he spoke perfect English (great for us, since our Spanish is limited). We had some empanadas a salad and roasted carrots for our appetizer. I had the grilled shrimp and my friend had the pasta with pork. The attention to detail was amazing. ApuNena is a charming restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina, known for its Southeast Asian cuisine with a Filipino influence. Chef Christina Sunae's culinary journey began in the Philippines and eventually led her to open this cozy spot named after her grandmother. The menu features a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes, such as poke bowls with charred sweetbreads and steamed dumplings topped with crispy shiitake and green onions.
This was the 2nd stop of our night so we only got drinks and a couple dishes, but it was all tasty! The bao’s Szechwan spice came through nicely and the kimchi watermelon in the salad was delicious. Definitely recommend the Dragón Verde cocktail! The rooftop deck had a nice breeze too.

I give this restaurant five stars based solely on the strength of one dish: the curry verde. I cannot describe with words how perfect this dish is, because it left us speechless. All we could do was repeatedly say “mmmm” and “wow!” with each bite. The flavors are perfectly balanced, no ingredient is out of place, and each component was impeccably cooked. Don’t leave Buenos Aires without trying this dish. We visited this restaurant twice. On our first visit, we enjoyed the dumplings, the tacos, a ceviche-like dish made with fresh raw trucha, and chicken skewers grilled on the parilla. The trucha was the standout dish, although everything else was strong enough that we wanted to return a second time to try other menu items. On our second visit, we were rendered speechless by the curry verde, pleased by the metambrito (although it was a bit oversalted for our tastes and the meat a little on the chewy side), and perplexed by the calamari. The calamari presentation was artful, but the stuffing was too salty for us to finish, the squid did not have a nice char despite being cooked on the parilla, and the sweet flavors of the sauce overwhelmed the rest of the dish. There was no harmony here. Still. Five stars. Because of that dang curry! Excellent service and atmosphere, and I enjoyed the vermouth selection as well. If you sit at the bar, you can watch them prepare the food and work the grill!

In my opinion, this is the best south East Asian Restaurant in Buenos Aires, most of the dishes taste authentic and flavorful. We were a party of four and tried a good number of dishes. Service was alright. Only were not satisfied with the wine list and prices. Definitely I will return here. Congratulations

ApuNena has been on my list for a while and I’m so glad I tried it. All of the dishes worked well, and I think I’ll be back to try some other dishes on the menu. But my breakaway favourite was the prawn and pasta dish, followed by the shredded pork tostados and satay chicken. The bao bun was so light and fluffy, but not convinced it was worth the price tag. Overall a lovely meal with good friends and great cocktails.

There is a link on their website to make reservations which directs you to "Woki." There were only two options to reserve, at 20hs or 22hs (though they open at 19hs and that's the time we wanted to reserve). We received a WhatsApp message a few hours later accepting our reservation at 20hs and we immediately replied by WhatsApp to enquire if we could arrive earlier. After more than an hour with no response, we made our way to the restaurant to reluctantly accept 20hs to find there were only two other tables occupied so we believed we could have come earlier if someone had responded. The food is fabulous, and the wine list is simple with some very good bottles at reasonable prices. The food is quite pricey, but the ingredients and quality justifies it. We spent over 220,000 pesos for 5 of us. A nice touch is that the underside of the tables is cushioned with soundproofing. The server was very knowledgeable and professional.

Great ambiance. Amazing service, especially if you’re sitting at the chef’s bar. Detailed explanations and friendly with dietary restrictions, like dairy. The best? The tacos. The not so favorite? The chicken hearts.

Well, food 2 star, 4 star for atmosphere, service pretty good too. But! We think food value is extremely low for someone lived in Asia. Tasty however not worth the money. If you just like a funky casual looking pub with taste of asian food experience, this is the place to try. Very small serving size and ask for large steak price. 4 of us tried 2 dishes and decided to change to elsewhere better value for money. Mainly because too small portion and we are not big fan for Philippine cuisine.

Cocktail bar
Floreria Atlántico is a unique cocktail joint and gastrobar concealed behind a hidden door within a florist shop. Renato 'Tato' Giovannoni, the renowned bartender and creator, drew inspiration from both the sea and the land to curate a diverse menu that reflects Argentina's indigenous and immigrant cultures. The bar's intimate design, long bar, and open kitchen foster engaging conversations between patrons and bartenders.
We did not order any food, but the drinks were really good: creative, delicate, authentic. I recommend the one with cachaca. We ordered a dessert and it was kind of small however it was good. The place is pretty, I liked the low lighting and the atmosphere.

Rating: 4.8/5 [dine in] This speakeasy is tucked inside a flower shop and has made the World's Top 50 Bars list for 11 years, so we had to check it out! We came on a Friday around 6:30 PM and were seated right away. The vibe was calm enough to hold a conversation, though we were told that around 9:30 PM a DJ comes on and the energy shifts. After walking through the flower shop, a host led us through a hidden door and down a flight of stairs into the bar. The menu is extensive, so it took us a few minutes to decide, but our cocktails arrived quickly. Presentation is simple with no flashy garnishes, yet the drinks were crystal clear and incredibly balanced. They were so good we finished them fast. Highly recommend the Yvy Maraey (14,800 ARS)!
Angelica L — Google review
A small flower shop crammed with blooms of every kind is your gateway to Florería Atlántico. Down the narrow stairs lies a softly lit space that hums with conversation, clinking glasses, and the quiet energy of discovery. The layout is long and slightly curved, with the bar and stools running along one side and tables lining the other. At the far end, a large mirror creates the illusion of endless depth. The low lighting and gentle ’70s soul music complete the speakeasy atmosphere — intimate, nostalgic, and perfectly in tune with the bar’s effortless style. I ordered the Pehuén, a smooth, layered blend of Hennessy VS Cognac, Hendrick’s Gin, Pehuén orgeat, and Falernum of Merken. Its tropical, nutty, and fresh profile struck a perfect balance between warmth and brightness. I also tried the king crab empanadas — delicate, buttery, and filled with sweet, briny crab! It’s the kind of bar that doesn’t just serve cocktails; it tells stories through them. Each drink reflects Argentina’s immigrant heritage — Italian, Spanish, English, and beyond — blending cultures just as the city does. Every sip feels intentional, crafted for both memory and curiosity. The bartenders move with quiet confidence, happy to share the origin of a spirit or the reason behind a garnish. The crowd is lively — and even when loud, it’s always with a celebratory energy. It’s easy to understand why Florería Atlántico remains among the World’s 50 Best Bars. Making reservations is highly recommended. But you maybe able to catch a spot at the bar, especially if you’re just looking to have a drink or two.
John A — Google review
Florería Atlántico truly lives up to its reputation as one of the World’s 50 Best Bars. Hidden beneath a flower shop, it offers an atmosphere that feels both secret and alive. Reservations are essential — it fills up fast, and with good reason. The food menu is small, but every dish is well thought out and beautifully executed. Still, the real magic here is in the cocktails. Each drink tells a story, crafted with precision and creativity that’s rare even at this level. It’s not just a bar — it’s an experience. A must-visit for anyone who loves mixology done with soul.

Stepping into the shop front on the street level, full of flowers. The smell was amazing. The server takes you downstairs to the intimate yet lively bar. Cocktails were amazing. As were the bar snacks. Please visit Floreia Atlantico whenever you are in BA.

Fun place to visit with its secret entrance through the fridge door. Of the drinks we ordered, one was amazing and two were a bit disappointing. Music too loud - at around 7pm - to have a proper conversation. Service was excellent. Not convinced it's value for money - I'm glad I went but have no desire to return.

We absolutely loved our experience here! The atmosphere was spectacular and the drinks were incredible. But what really made our experience was the staff (especially Lisandro)—so friendly and amazing mixologists. We each got two cocktails, but Lisandro let us taste several different liquors. We had so much fun—highly recommend.

Darsha D — Google review
It's not the place to eat, rather to sit and talk. Portions are way too small - we took 2 main dishes, 1 entada and two desserts for two girls and still end up being hungry, which is a bit upsetting considering that the place is not that cheap. Food was good though, but nothing with wow effect. Overall atmosphere is nice, more appropriate for a date or to meet with your friend 1 on 1, I wouldn't recommend to go as a group of people, as the tables are very small. But I liked the design of the bar. Waiter was very nice and our food was served very quickly, so the service is 5/5. Would I say that I was disappointed? No. Would I recommend this place to my friends? Also no.

Anchoita Cava is a cozy wine bar located near its sibling restaurant, Anchoita. Despite its small size, it boasts an impressive collection of 205 Argentine and world wines, with 52 available by the glass. Additionally, the bar houses 110 in-house aged cheeses. Guests can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere at street-side tables or inside at the bar area. The establishment is renowned for its extensive wine selection and offerings of cheeses and meats.
Anchoita Cava is, without a doubt, a must-visit destination for any wine enthusiast or foodie! From the moment we stepped inside, we felt right back at home. Lovely experience at Anchoita Cava. They have a REALLY extensive wine list, that it’s impressive even. And the combination of locally sourced cheese and charcuterie, and local wines reinforces the saying - what grows together goes together. The staffs were attentive, and were very approachable when we sought for their recommendations, so we were in good hands throughout. I’m not sure if it’s a deliberate decision to do so, but my only feedback will be for the breads to be served warm and not cold.

Very nice wine bar with a massive menu of wine and cheese plus extra snacks. Recommended to us by a sommelier relative. Really delicious wine and cheese and professional upscale service. Plus the bathroom is the nicest in the entirety of Buenos Aires, heated seat and all! Only suggestion would be a book menu instead of extra-long single pieces of paper and also a larger font because it was darker lighting and hard to read (and we’re still very young).

Fast food restaurant
Burger Joint is a vibrant and trendy eatery located in the heart of Buenos Aires' Palermo district. This hip spot offers a laid-back atmosphere with reggae music, colorful graffiti-covered walls, and friendly service. Known as one of the original burger places in the city, Burger Joint serves up delicious patties accompanied by crispy fries and an array of sauces to customize your meal. The establishment also offers sangria and craft beer on tap.
Great burger spot in Palermo Soho. Was highly recommended and did not disappoint. Fun grungy laid back vibes. If you're looking for a good American burger done well, this is the place. Fries are also crispy and top tier.
Angel L — Google review
Perhaps a little harsh to give it a 3 but it's current rating 4.5/5 is way too high for this relatively mediocre burger. I can't even remember which burger I had, it had cheese and bacon (per the pic) and I got it as a combo meal for more than I'd pay for a burger in the UK, where I've had 100s of better burgers than this. I heard a lot about he quality of Argentina's beef but the two high end steaks I had, along with other beef based meals I had like this, failed to impress me. I saw another reviewer mention the Burger Joint in NYC. I'd be surprised if it has any relation to this place other than by name as that was one of the greatest burgers I've ever eat and this was about a level or so above a Burger King Bacon Double Cheeseburger. Also the fries were inconsistent, some were crispy almost as if double fried and some were undercooked.

Wow!!!! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! 🍔😍 The meat was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The flavors were on point, and every bite was absolute perfection. You can tell the cook really knows their craft. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I went there back in December 2024, and I’m still craving that burger, that’s how unforgettable it was. The fact that I’m posting this review months later just goes to show how much I loved it lol. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone in search of a truly amazing burger experience! ✨

When researching things to do in Buenos Aires, we had found that our favourite New York burger place, Burger Joint also had an outpost here.  It was a five minute walk from where we were staying, it was a no brainier for us to get a take out. We would have sat in but we had been travelling all day. The interior of Burger Joint was pretty much a replica of the one in NYC. The walls were covered with the same style "I was here" graffiti left by previous customers. We went for: "Classic" - which was basically what they call "The Works" in New York. A burger patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise. "La Doble" Cheeseburger - this had two burger patties, double cheese and ketchup. We ordered both with fries. The burgers weren't bad but Burger Joint NYC will always be number one for us.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a mouthwatering burger here on Christmas Day, and it was delightful! The burger I ordered had a perfect amount of a charred taste , that added a whole new level of deliciousness. One pleasant surprise was the curry ketchup that accompanied the burger. It added a delightful burst of flavor, with its unique blend of spices and tanginess. It was a perfect complement with some hot sauce for the fires to the charred taste of the burger, creating a harmonious combination of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. While I personally prefer my burgers a bit juicier, I must say that the overall taste and quality of the burger made up for it.

Burger Haven - A Hidden Gem for Quick, Tasty Bites If you’re all about burgers, this spot is worth checking out. Specializing exclusively in burgers, the menu offers about 10 options, each packed with flavor and creativity. From classic cheeseburgers to gourmet twists, there’s something for every craving. The presentation is surprisingly impressive—each burger is neatly crafted, almost too good to eat The flavor lives up to the look, with juicy patties, fresh toppings, and perfectly toasted buns. It’s clear the focus is on quality. It is situated right in Serrano Square. The exterior and interior could use a little love, as the place feels a bit run-down. But if you’re after a quick bite and care more about the food than the setting, this spot delivers big time.

What an unforgettable experience at Hierro Parrilla in San Telmo .. Hierro is tucked inside the historic San Telmo Market, adding an extra layer of charm and history to this dining experience. From the moment I sat on the bar stool, I was welcomed with warm smiles and attentive service. The ambience is exactly what you’d hope for in a classic Buenos Aires parrilla - charming, lively, and full of local character. You really feel like you’re part of something special here. The highlight …I went for the Bife Boutique de Chorizo. Perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavour—easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It’s not just a meal - it’s an awesome memory ‼️

Excellent! The meat is incredible, and the service and atmosphere are also very nice. A perfect way to experience how Argentinian steak is made. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar to watch the preparation.

One of the best cuts of Lomo I have ever had. The meat was also cooked perfectly and the servers were very thoughtful. The only thing I didn't like was the "touristy" feel of the place, the way the utensils were cleaned (or lack of) and the reuse of things like chimichurri off of tables. Even with that said, my experience was very positive because of the quality of the food and the cooking quality. I wish they could get a supervisor to get their other stuff in order. I'm not a restaurant inspector, but some health issues stand out.

Crizia Restaurante is a high-end dining establishment located in Palermo, Buenos Aires, known for its chic atmosphere and global cuisine. Since 2004, it has been celebrated for its specialization in oysters, fish, and seafood. Chef Gabriel Oggero's focus on the diversity and quality of Argentine products shines through in the menu, featuring everything from different varieties of Jujuy potatoes to various kinds of seafood sourced from the Patagonian coast.
Wow! What an amazing restaurant. The best restaurant I’ve been in Argentina and one of the best in my life. Food was spectacular, service was one of a kind. They even gave us a few extra things we never ordered. We ordered the oysters, steak tartar, mushrooms, seafood rice, and ribeye to share for 3 people. Every dish was amazing.
Miguel E — Google review
Our visit to Crizia revealed a beautiful space with truly impressive architecture and exquisite food presentation. The staff were pleasant and attentive However, the experience was mixed. While a few dishes were excellent, our entrees, unfortunately, didn't quite meet the high expectations set by the restaurant's reputation. They were good but lacked a truly exceptional finish. The wine service was somewhat disappointing. Seeking guidance, the staff seemed less experienced. They recommended a $200 bottle which, unfortunately, showed noticeable off-flavors (likely Brettanomyces). Combined with $35 cocktails, the value proposition felt strained. Crizia excels in ambiance and visual details, but the inconsistency in the main courses and the wine selection misstep made for a less outstanding evening than we'd hoped.

FOODIE’S TRAVEL FOR FOOD, always watching for culinary/gastronomic creativity that delights the eyes, the nose and of course, the palate… We searched out CRIZIA, a 50-Discovery restaurant, with high expectations….. BUT IT FAILS TO IMPRESS😑😑😑… Good food overall BUT quite unremarkably average. For an EXPENSIVE TASTING MENU, it DOES NOT MEASURE UP to similar 50-Discovery restaurants. 😑 flavors and textures are unexciting, they DO NOT arouse the palate. 🫤 there’s very little nose to main palate. 🫤🫤 🫤 🫤🫤THERE ARE SERIOUS FAUX PAS in 3 major courses 👎 Serving FRESH OYSTERS TOPPED WITH SAUCES, etc IS MONUMENTAL MISTAKE. Oysters MUST be served in its pristine state. One has to be able to taste the sea, to taste the waters they grow in!! For a restaurant that claims to have “discovered” the first oysters in Argentina, THEY DESTROY THE FRESHNESS AND SIMPLICITY OF THE OYSTERS… 👎 The PATAGONIAN LAMB FAILS to highlight the favor and texture of the lamb. The serving of 2 very tiny pieces crumble with a slice of the knife. ALL THAT ONE TASTES IS THE SAUCE OR MARINADE. This lamb dish has little aroma or fragrance of a meat dish! 👎 The Dessert titled “Imagination” is more of a question whether the chef had any imagination at all!!! It’s simple quenelle of UNREMARKABLE sorbet and slices of fruit. Then there’s a similarly UNIMAGINATIVE duo of chocolates. 🤗🤗🤗 A bright spot of the dinner is the WILD MUSHROOMS…complex yet delicate flavors and contrasting textures 🤗🤗🤗 Another bright spot is the SECRET OF THE OCEAN a lovely medley of seafood and fish roe, dominated by langostine. The sauces are silky and delicate. Service is good.

Hold on to your hats and get ready for a culinary adventure! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Crizia, my first Michelin rated restaurant, and let me tell you, it was absolutely mind-blowing! The moment I walked up to the massive door, I knew I was in for a treat. The doorbell added a touch of exclusivity and allure to the whole experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was pure posh and spectacular - it was like stepping into a whole new world. But let's get to the best part - the food! The warm and delicious serving of bread was just the beginning. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the main dishes were nothing short of incredible. I especially loved the seafood with black rice dish, which was a true masterpiece. The portions were generous, and I felt like I got my money's worth. And don't even get me started on the dessert sampler - it was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. I highly recommend making a reservation early and experiencing Crizia for yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!.

Fine dining restaurant
Mishiguene is a restaurant that offers a modern take on Jewish immigrant cuisine in Buenos Aires. The chef, Tomas Kalika, aims to bring upscale Jewish dining to the city by presenting a menu that reflects Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Israeli, and Middle Eastern food traditions. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant is filled with animated crowds and adorned with photographs.
Fantastic tasting menu! I sat at the bar, and service was very attentive and prompt, the restaurant was beautiful and dimly lit. The tasting menu came with a welcome cocktail which was refreshing and I also opted for the wine pairing to go with the tasting menu. The flavors were big, bold and quite rich, the wine pairing was well done, and the plating was spectacular! After dessert they also included coffee or tea and petit fours arranged on a beautiful plate of aromatics. I loved the flavors of each course, but I will say the only one I had any critique on was the main course of the pastrami over risotto. The pastrami and the risotto were both rich and flavorful, and I loved each one on their own, but together it was a bit much. Since the pastrami was already on the salty side (as expected with pastrami), I would have preferred something lighter and with a more subtle or contrasting flavor to accompany it. Also, I never thought I would ever say something like this because I can eat a lot, but I actually struggled with the huge portion sizes for each course! Typically tasting menus leave me feeling just right or sometimes hungry (if the bites were too small) but each course here was like the size of a shared appetizer x 6! It didn’t help that the food here was so good that I ate the entire first two courses (plus some of the yummy fresh breads) and ended up being too full to finish the rest of my food and wine, that I could only handle a bite or two from the remaining 4 courses. Fortunately, they were kind enough to pack up my leftovers (who has leftovers from a tasting menu?!) because I wanted to enjoy the rest of it, and I certainly did at home today! TIP: If getting the tasting menu, come hungry and pace yourself, no matter how good everything is! It was totally worth what I paid for and I highly highly recommend this place!

Extremely expensive prices for mediocre food. The pastrami ribs costs ARS120,000 and described as “Our signature house recipe: beef ribs dry-cured for 10 days with salt herbs, and spices. Seasoned with ras el hanout, smoked for 4 hours over wood and steamed for 14 hours.” However, it tastes just very basic and too fatty. The risotto with truffles part was way better. The martini was the best part of the meal. Service is a big let down. We weren’t offered any bread although other tables were. Waiters seemed very annoyed even though we were the only diners at the restaurant. Service was also slow. Very slow. Overall there are so many better restaurants in BA. I wanted to like the food and concept but it’s just not worth it.

This well hidden Michelin Reataurant in Palermo is a real gem. It is immigrant Jewish cuisine made into an art, elevated with flavours that you would not really expect. Truly exceptional food. Service is friendly and diligent. Environment inside is modern chique and the terrace is a great place from November to April. Please try the entraña and the hinojo salad. Ultimately the star dish, which does not disappoint, is the Pastrami on the bone with bulgur risotto. Do make a reservation the place is always fully booked.

Reservations are easy online - booked several months in advance. The day of the host will contact you on WhatsApp with a generic message letting you know punctuality is important and that our reservation is only for 1.5 hours. Due to traffic unpredictability and rain and arrived 15 minutes early - while in the Uber I messaged them to ask if possible we could come in earlier due to the rain. No warm or anything in the response - 'Open 19hrs' that's it. When we got there all the staff greeted or made eye contact with us. The staff and servers had trouble understanding English and our main server spent more time chatting with his colleagues than attending to us - if they want us out in 1.5 hours - why does it take 10+ mins to get our check? Chicken hearts - cooked to perfection and sop up all the sauce. With every calorie and penny. The breads and hummus - nothing special. Good raisin Challah and the onion/chicken fat was good. The server said we had to order two entrees because they are too small to share. Untrue and we had a ton of leftovers. The second entree so forgettable I have a photo but forgot what we ate. The duck was rubbery - reduction was nice. Came with rice and veg. We were stuffed at this point but I always like to try it fresh before boxing it up. Good thing I did - the rice was RAW. Sorry 1 Michelin star or $ place, I have NEVER been served raw rice. They looked skeptical of our claim and minimally apologetic after it was confirmed by the kitchen. No discount, nothing complimentary to compensate us for the time lost - just recooked the rice (they prob doubled the portion?). Dark moody ambiance, the music was frantic and loud in the beginning but mellowed out later. Unique china sets. It was a lot of effort dining here - we felt like it was a favor to be allowed to dine here. Lack of attention - we felt the need to check our to-go bag and indeed it was missing the bread. I think the approach in the hospitality is lacking here and a touch of humility is needed.

Over-engineered food Food: All the food we took was different from what was stated in the menu, it was re-engineered. Like baba ganoush was not a paste, but a whole eggplant under tahini sauce. Latkis was a huge block. Vareniki are 6 pieces under a fist amount of fried onion. And everything was extremely salty, to the point I've choked. We did not finish all the main dishes and decided to not take the rest out. Service: it seemed nice, but I was a bit uncomfortable that the table was not cleaned after we finished the bread basket. When we asked for the bill the waiter started collecting dishes without asking if we have finished. And finally when we were leaving a waiter counted the money in front of us and stopped us to say that the tip is not included (we have left 200k with the bill of 189k). I guess a mistake but I felt uncomfortable staying in the middle and being questioned for the tip. For this prices I hope they can be nicer in the attitude, not only in smiles. Atmosphere: it was nice. We were sitting outside. I might be petty but again, candles were lit on the couple of tables, on the couple were not. I strongly believe that the overall impression is actually created by the small details. Still we had a good time. Overall, it's a mid-expensive place (189k for 4 bottles of water, 3 main dishes, 3 starters) which over complicates the food without delivery in taste. As always I suggest you to go and try yourself as everyone's taste buds are different or maybe it was an unlucky visit for me. Just don't have a lot of expectations.

Mishiguene is a must-visit! We tried the tasting menu, and every dish was outstanding. The service was impeccable, and the food—simply exceptional. The pastrami rivals the best from NYC, and the varenikes were delicious. A fantastic fusion of Ashkenazi and Israeli flavors with a modern twist. Totally recommend

Good experience for a fine dining restaurant. I liked the attention of the waiters. Their interpretation of classic dishes like hummus and babaganoush was very interesting. They were able to extract so much flavor and combine that with some other interesting ingredients. The 6 course menu funnily enough makes you too full. They could dial down on the dishes size by 15% as by the dessert I was almost easy to give up on eating. Good experience overall

Spanish restaurant
Restaurant
El Burladero is a cozy restaurant that offers traditional Spanish cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features authentic Spanish dishes such as the flavorful Valencian paella made with Bomba rice, known for its ability to absorb the rich flavors of the broth. The restaurant also serves seafood specialties like Zarzuela de Pescados Y Mariscos and other classic Spanish dishes including tortilla and garlic shrimp.
El Burladero was another fantastic recommendation from our hotel, and we were so glad we followed their advice. Conveniently located within walking distance, it was the perfect place for a special dinner during our stay in Buenos Aires. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the elegant and upscale atmosphere. The interior has a very classy and refined feel, yet it remains warm and welcoming. It is the kind of restaurant where every detail feels thoughtfully considered, creating an environment that is both sophisticated and comfortable. We had heard that El Burladero is known for their paella, so we knew that was what we wanted to try. We ordered it for the four of us—two adults and two kids—and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. One of the highlights was that the paella was served table side, which made the meal feel even more special. The server brought out the pan and carefully plated each portion for us, adding a level of elegance and presentation that really stood out. The paella itself was absolutely delicious. The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, the rice had excellent texture and flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. Every bite was rich, savory, and satisfying. It was a generous portion, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. In addition to the outstanding food, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. They made sure we felt well taken care of without being intrusive, and their knowledge of the menu was very helpful. Overall, El Burladero exceeded our expectations and delivered a truly memorable dining experience. Between the beautiful setting, the table-side presentation, the fantastic food, and the top-tier service, it was a meal we will not forget. We would happily return on a future visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale yet approachable dining option in Buenos Aires.

Finally, we found a place with amazing service! The food is also pretty good and they’re amazing at making drinks. Completely packed where the big line to get in even on Tuesday night so show up early if you want a seat at the bar.

Excellent food in a typical Spanish restaurant serving dishes as if we were in Barcelona or Madrid, waiters are very professional and friendly and the manager keeps on eye on the good service. Wonderful local wine list

Delicious food with abundant portions. Prices are fair given the quality of food and service. The staff is very attentive and helpful when ordering off the menu. Would recommend if you’re looking for Spanish food such as paella and tapas.

BE AWARE! This restaurant does NOT respect online reservations - twice, I made a reservation and no tables were available late into the evenings. While the food is very good, the restaurant should not be allowed to on the platform as this is highly unethical.

It’s a great Spanish restaurant. Their food was very big. So, you need to care the volume. But they food is so delicious that you order more and more. Their staffs were very polite and kind. In our case we ordered a tasting plate today and a Fideua with seafood. It made us satisfied a lot.

Roux is an upscale dining spot in residential Recoleta, offering reimagined Latin-Mediterranean cuisine and a carefully curated wine selection. Helmed by award-winning chef Martin Rebaudino, the restaurant prides itself on sourcing high-quality ingredients from various regions of South America to create flavorful and beautifully presented dishes.
It is a must while in BA if you like fine dinning. The inclusion of well curated Argentinean ingredients make this cuisine exquisite. Excellent wine cellar that fits all budgets.

I absolutely adored this restaurant. Exceptional service. They truly ho above and beyond to give you a fine dining experience. The food is incredible. I loved every dish.

What a gem! Don't even know where to start... The place is absolutely faultless. We found it by sheer accident as we were living just round the corner. Let's start with the easy bits. The staff is super friendly, speaks English, with sense of humour, smiles, no airs & graces and very reactive. The place reminds me of a typical French bistro (but from a higher shelf), being small (perhaps 30 covers), white tablecloths, subdued lighting, intimate atmosphere - in a word, cosy. Now the best bit - food. We had no hesitation in choosing the tasting menu (all in - 11 dishes with 5 glasses of paired wine @ around USD80 per person at the time of writing) - not a steak in sight! Which is great, after 5 weeks of eating beef (undoubtedly the best in the world). It is a combination of seafood, pork (suckling pig to die for!), fruit & vegetables. Even after the 11 courses & wine you do not feel extremely stuffed. For optics of the food - see the photos but for the taste - I must say it was sublime, perfectly balanced & imaginative. And served with perfect timing. The inclusion in the Michelin guide is very well deserved!

Exquisite. Top notch service and food. Asked for blanco vermouth, found out after servers went out to purchase a bottle for us to make the drink. Everything was fresh and such high quality. Amazing presentation. Mind blowing. Would absolutely come back.

Great french style food and fresh seafood which was really delicious. Delightful and I loved the octopus and the fish, which were extremely fresh, as well as the plating. Lovely fusion and balance of flavours. Service was excellent. The restaurant was also generous and served a few amuse bouches complimentary. The bread basket had a good assortment of breads and was acxompanied by high quality butter. Gnocchi was a bit too soft for my liking though as I prefer it to be a bit more springy and chewy. Make a reservation to ensure you get a seat, and if request to sit inside as much as you can. I wouldn't recommend sitting outside as the lighting isn't that great (if you are having dinner), and on a cold day (though they have heaters) as it does get a bit windy. Not within the restaurant's control but if you're outdoors and the garbage truck comes by (am not sure about the schedule but one came in the evening) it does dampen the overall experience a little.

Café San Juan is a casual yet top culinary destination in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Despite its name, it offers much more than just coffee and pastries. The restaurant provides a local and hearty dining experience with delicious food that is worth craving for. It's a trendy cantina serving Western food by a local chef, offering English menus and English-speaking servers. The atmosphere is excellent, especially during peak hours when it gets packed.
Amazing all around— the vermouth was cold and delicious. We had 2 appetizers — burrata and pastrami— and one main — the ox tail pasta. Everything was superb! Very high quality for price! Seems like a place where whatever you order will be great. Would definitely go back.
Rebecca G — Google review
We had high expectations for the restaurant based on our Airbnb host's recommendation. The fried shrimp appetizer was decent, but the main courses were overly salty. My husband ordered homemade pasta, but he couldn't even finish half of it due to the excessive saltiness. The waiter was not very friendly and did not smile at all.

Best Italian food in a long time. We found Café San Juan based on the reviews on Google Maps and wanted to give it a try. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making good recommendations from the menu. The house vermouth is a must. Very refreshing and tasty. We ordered the Pappardelle and the Linguini and both were brilliant. The pappardelle was the clear winner with ample and very fresh and tasty shrimps.

The food was ok. Turn around time was quick. The service was good and the turnaround time was good too. Overall the experience was ok if you are looking to grab a quick bite. Food can be better.

A relatively short menu, but with options that should satisfy most people, from a range of fresh pastas to mains such as milanesa, fish, ossobuco. We had the ‘aperitivo de la casa’, a delicious and refreshing vermouth mix. We both had pasta which was very good. Portions are on the generous side (for us). Service was friendly and efficient. Casual atmosphere, it was nicely busy. A very good lunch!

Amazing place for lunch. We stopped during our visit to the Sunday market in San Telmo as it is located on a two minute walk from the main market street. The staff was really friendly. We sat outside on the terrace area, but I would recommend to secure a table inside as there was a lively atmosphere. Our pasta and lasagna was tasty and fresh.
Joost N — Google review
This cozy restaurant screams quality from the get go. Make sure to go with reservations made, otherwise you could be waiting for a while, and the wait is more than worth it. Staff is really friendly and fast. Music selection is good and the volume is perfect for conversations. I had a couple of gin and tonics (the night asked for them), but the house vermouth is the cocktail you'll want to have. Ordered the kimchi croquetas, cooked to perfection, well seasoned, although I'd preferred them a bit spicier. Definitely recommend this appetizer. For entrée I had the beef and wine stew fusilli. Nothing to object, pasta was cooked perfectly, the dish is generous and flavorful. I'd rank this as one of the best pasta dishes you'll ever have in this country, for sure. Ricotta tart with sweet pumpkin bites and quartirolo cheese ice-cream; other than the pumpkin bites and the hard meringue at the bottom of the ice-cream quenelle, which the dish don't need at all, that dessert was amazing, especially the ice-cream. All of that for under 40 dollars, an absolute bargain. If actions speak volumes, then Café San Juan will definitely deafen you.

Restaurant
Niño Gordo is a vibrant and colorful restaurant and bar in Palermo, Buenos Aires, offering a unique fusion of classic Asian dishes with an Argentinian twist. The restaurant stands out for its eclectic interior design featuring glowing red lanterns, a faux aquarium, and rows of bobblehead toys. The menu at Niño Gordo showcases oddball combinations of ingredients such as bonito flakes on desserts and miso flan.
Are here for our first night in BA. Fantastic. A little pricey ($40usd for a beef sandwich), however you quickly forget that once you taste the food! Amazing restaurant.

Had high hopes for this place but it felt short. In general great fusion, flavors were good, got the steak tartar and dumplings. Would have preferred if the steak was fresh seared and assembled then vs pre-assembled, the entire dish was cold and stuck together. The dumplings were really good - however it came with two sauces that ended up merging together rather than the yin-yang setup they may have been doing for. Service and attentiveness was excellent.

amazing food, super funny decor and atmosphere. Melissa was the best, she even spoke “portunhol” to us. shrimp dumplings are so good and the katsu sando is a must. loved it and recommend it.
Giovanna R — Google review
Disappointing at all levels. You are assigned a 2 hour slot and you cannot stay longer. To make things worse our slot was cut by the restaurant to 1:45 (no explanation given) Service is extremely rushed. They pressure you constantly to finish your dishes and bring something else. Everything is so rushed that they got our food before the drinks. They recommend ordering dishes to share. Please do not do that. They are not sharing plates. They are normal size starters and mains. If you want to eat and not leave hungry get a starter and a main per person. The prawn dumplings were delicious. The sauce that comes with them is amazing. The noodle dish is outstanding. I would have loved to have a whole noodle dish for myself instead of 3 bites because I had to share the dish with my friends. To make things worse even if you want to order more food they won't let you. The place could be a 5 but the atrocious service/system ruin the experience Prices are almost as expensive as in London not worth it in my opinion.
Nikko — Google review
Niño Gordo is undeniably a very cute restaurant — almost like stepping into an art installation. The design and atmosphere are whimsical and make for a memorable visual experience, perfect for a fun night out or even a quirky date spot. The menu is simple, which makes ordering easy, though it might feel a bit limited for those seeking variety. While the concept is Asian-inspired, the flavors didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Some dishes, like the dumplings, were undercooked — the dough still felt raw. The ribeye was the most disappointing; it was so tough it was nearly impossible to chew. Thankfully, the waiter was understanding and removed it from our bill, which I appreciated. Hopefully, these were just off moments, because the ambiance alone is worth a visit — especially if you’re going more for the vibe than the food.

Loved it - Was sat in a terrible seat in the salon which I was very unhappy with however they made some adjustments to resolve for me, for this I’m very grateful. Being in Argentina I was tentative about this restaurant given that the Argentinian tastes are a far cry from Asian cuisine however I thought this restaurant did an amazing job of keeping an Argentinian spirit while fusing with Japanese flavours. I’ve read reviews that claim the portions are too small and that the prices were too expensive and the food was not to their taste. To all these claims I say rubbish, this as a terrific restaurant and you just need to go eat up the road at El Preferido de Palermo to know what overpriced and overrated looks like. Don’t miss the Katsu Sando and the Prawn Dumplings.

El Perón Perón is a restaurant and bar in Lavalleja, BA that pays homage to the legacy of former Argentine president Juan Perón and his wife, Eva. The menu features Juan Perón's favorite dishes, and the place is adorned with memorabilia celebrating Peronism. Visitors can expect spontaneous outbursts of the Peronist March by young Peronists who frequent the establishment.
A popular restaurant - and a history lesson at the same time. Popular amongst “Peronistas” obviously - and you definitely learn a lot about the ambivalent history of Argentina. But this review is not meant to be about politics of course, so we came here for food and we were served an excellent steak and wine. Very friendly service and great atmosphere.
Steffen H — Google review
I wanted to love this place but didn't. For the second night in a row, I've had food in Buenos Aires that simply didn't meet basic standards for seasoning. I'll start with the positive: the service was great, and the vibe of the place is a welcoming neighborhood spot. I started with a buffalo meat empanada, and it was delicious. It had all of the flavor I'd expect from a quality empanada...and yet an usual twist with the meat choice. The rest of the meal was mediocre. The osso buco was cooked well, as the meat was tender. But despite the delicious-looking sauce that covered it, the dish (neither the meat nor the mashed potatoes) had any flavor. I picked at it and left the rest. The flan was...ok. I've had much better. The price was reasonable: total meal was under $50USD.

I wanted to see the Evita memorabilia and enjoyed the visit. Service and music was good as were the happy hour cocktails. The decor and pictures all done nicely.

What a disappointment - came with a few friends for breakfast. Empanadas- had a hair inside. Provoleta burnt almost to the crisp. Osobuco gave my friend food poisoning before his 40 hour flight. Steak -overcooked dispute a 5 minute explanation what medium rare means. Needless to say we will not be back.

The service and food were excellent. You cannot go wrong with any of the choices on the menu. The waitress was extremely accommodating to me and my friends. Just so you know, the political vibe is tailored toward the kishners, and there were chants throughout the night for the former presidents.

This was such a great place to visit! First of all it’s connected to Argentinian politics and Perón. It’s crazy how cool the decorations inside are. Lovely spot for lunch where you can sit outside and enjoy some incredible vegan food! We had two of the salad bowls and they were super delicious. In Buenos Aires terms it’s a little bit more expensive but the flavours were fabulous. We will be coming back here again and again for lunch!

First time visiting this vegan restaurant. It is located in Palermo Soho. I ordered delivery last year and was impressed with the quality of the food. This time, our opinion is mixed. We ordered brunch and we did not like all the plates. The tortellini was the best by far, followed by the corn soup. The lion's mane were served on a cold consome that was not appetizing and the potato ceviche was nice and fresh but minimal. As regards the dessert (fig with something like a white chocolate mousse), it was overly sweet for my taste but my husband thought it was ok. We also ordered a toast with Cajun cream cheese and apple chutney. What we received was not a toast but more like a sandwich with a huge portion of cream cheese and little chutney on top. We did not enjoy it at all. The brunch was ARS 20,250 per person which included one bottle of water and 2 coffees. The toast was additional ARS 7,600 and not worth it. I think it is best to try individual dishes. Service was slow even though 3 tables (including ours) had customers. Not sure if we will come back.

Gastropub
Cajun restaurant
NOLA, located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, offers a taste of authentic Cajun cuisine at affordable prices. This American-owned gastropub serves up homemade favorites like fried chicken, gumbo, and jambalaya alongside a selection of local craft beers and wines. Despite its slow service reminiscent of New Orleans, NOLA has become a popular hangout spot in the area.
Went twice during my trip in BA, great fast casual option and they even have an English menu
Robbie A — Google review
Went for supper and ordered the breast of chicken and coleslaw and a leg and thigh of chicken with coleslaw. Also took a syphon of water (soda water)with ice. This was the first place not to be outrageous in it's pricing for water and halfway through the meal without asking they brought more ice. The breast of chicken was like a schnitzel. Both meals were large in portions and very tasty. They have a selection of salsa's from spicy to just right. The place has an excellent vibe and while it was very humid outside the place has fans and Aircon but they did not help at all it was hot inside as well. There is seating outside as well. You need to place your order at the bar and wait for your name at the kitchen area to pick up the food. All in all a great night and not too expensive for what you get.

Reviews and pictures looked great so we tried it. Honestly when my food came out I wasn't so impressed but first bite and we were both really happy. Chicken was awesome. Service was great and we were also happy with the fires, which had a little of Cajun seasoning
Martin G — Google review
Pretty solid spot for good fried chicken. I wanted to try the Gaucho sandwich to get an Argentinian spin on a typical Cajun dish. The chicken itself was fantastic and the sandwich overall was really good. The beer was nice too. The service was decent and the vibe of the place is alright, nothing special as it’s a “come, eat, and go” kind of establishment. I would come back to try another sandwich or even just the chicken on its own.
Felipe L — Google review
Fried chicken leg was very juicy, but nuggets are fry and hard. These nuggets are literally fired mini chicken breast slices, not the blended recipe. Sauces were average. Overall looks better than they tastes.
Harbour S — Google review
I’ve wanted to go to this place for years. While New Orleans Cajun isn’t something I’d want often, I’ll be back to NOLA soon. When I asked the counter staff to guide my selections, I wasn’t given enough convincing to make me choose conclusively, so I took a stab and ordered the jambalaya and the chicken and waffles. The portion sizes are sufficient but if you’re hungry you ought want to order a side of something. Carmen considers fried chicken her ultimate comfort food but rarely orders it because, well, it is fried. When asked how she liked it she said it was the best she’d ever eaten...which really says a lot. Crispy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. I’m not a rice lover, but the jambalaya was amazing! The chicken was flavorful and tender. The only thing I hated about the place are the really uncomfortable tall tables and stools. With no back support it doesn’t make eating a meal very pleasant. The citrus sangria was awesome!

The couple's extensive travels through Southeast Asia inspired them to create a dining experience that combines exotic flavors with locally sourced ingredients, honoring Argentina's culinary heritage. The result is a menu featuring dishes like Swiss chard pakoras, Malaysian laksa soup, and corn bread that blend Asian flavors with Latin American flair.
Some of the tastiest food I’ve had in Buenos Aires. It’s nice to have a variety amongst all the parrilla and Italian spots! So much flavor we ordered literally everything off the menu. Everything is meant to be shared which I love so then you can try everything. Going back for sure.

Loved the Indian fusion food that they are serving here. I ordered roti with daal makhani. Which was great. The palak pakora is nice as well. Amazing experience. The food is beaultiful, surprising, and fresh. Service is fast and courteous. And they serve free water, a rarity in BA. Best cost benefit in town.

After a very bland dinner for our first night in Buenos Aires, this was incredible. The flavors were delicious and all of the dishes we ordered were very interesting. I would come back to eat here again. The venison was cooked to perfection!

Gran Dabbang was without a doubt my real find in Buenos Aires this time. The flavours kicked ass dish after dish! And the duck curry.. WOW. I was generally very satisfied and didn’t mind at all the queuing for the table (around 30’ for two people).

This place was SO good. Normally, I am hyper critical of Indian food, especially fusion indian food, but man - these people really elevated the taste and flavors. To get in we did have to wait in a line - it took about 45 mins, it was also a Friday night. There is no reservation option. The food was very very interesting. The pakora was delicious as was the roit dish they made. The meat was also really well made, it was kind of like a chicken katsu but they used pork instead. Very good and different take on indian food - the fusion witht eh latin food was perfect. Highly, highly recommend.

Tufic is a popular ice cream parlor in Buenos Aires, Argentina, known for its delicious flavors, affordable prices, and late closing hours. The shop offers a wide variety of ice cream, frozen yogurt, and ice cream cakes to satisfy any sweet tooth. Customers can indulge in decadent ice creams on sticks or opt for the popular paletas. Tufic's generous cake portions and creamy Oreo ice cream are highly recommended by visitors.
The best gelato ever! I love this place. I’ve been eating there since they left a flyer in the building where I was living around the corner from their place (like 14 years ago). They still make ice cream with the same quality and excellence as they did on day one. I love Tufic lemon, mascarpone, Oreo cream and tiramisu. Thank you guys for being the best. Every time I’m there you really make me so happy!

Great store. Very clean and a good variety of Icecream flavours and also very friendly staff what more could you ask for. The Banana split is my favourite so far

Great ice cream shop, located in the heart of Palermo Soho. We tried many flavours, all of them were amazing, but our favourites were cosa nostra (for pistachio lovers) and lemon pie. They have popsicles and other desserts as well, which look very tempting. There are different promotions, so check them before buying it ;)

So velvety and sweet! Highly recommend the pistachio and cookies and crema The swiss chocolate was rich and flaky!

Amazing ice cream! There are many unusual and interesting flavours, also you can find popsicles and cannolis. All the flavours we ordered were great, but lemon pie and cosa nostra are super tasty. Recommended!

Nice place, good location, and I tried lemonade overthere, which is not the best one I've had, but is pretty good! Since the guy who works there, dpeaks english and there was no language obstacles, I'll give them 5* now. Also glass bottle for their naturale juices is one surprising moment, good job Tufic! Will try icecream later and add some more photos than. 😁😁 Maybe coments too. 😁😁

Wine bar
Pain et Vin is a charming French-inspired establishment in Buenos Aires, known for its freshly baked bread, high-quality wine, and expertly paired cheeses. Since opening in 2013, it has become a popular spot for wine tastings and exploring Argentina's diverse wine regions with knowledgeable sommeliers. The bar offers tutored degustaciones to delve into the country's wine history and grape varieties.
This wine shop is truly a hidden gem 🍷 We were very confused thinking you needed a reservation, and almost didn't visit because of this. The website says there are tastings at 4:30pm and 6pm, but I promise you - just show up during there open hours and they'll accommodate you. They are so nice!! We tried our best to say hello and communicate in Spanish before asking if they spoke English, and to our relief they did! They are very passionate about the wine industry in Argentina and we learned so much while tasting several wines. The tasting itself is 4 wines with local cheeses, bread and olive oil to accompany it. However, I'm fairly certain we tasted closer to 6 or 7!

Was looking for a non touristy wine bar that could help me learn about Argentina wines and this place was amazing. The owner explained each one and the history behind the maker. I was looking for full bodied super dry and each one of these was exactly that. It wasn’t the standard wine tasting nor flight. They curated the selection based on the experience I was looking for. Did 6 wines and some small plates, all amazing.
Zeeshan S — Google review
What an unexpected delight! The mood is very chill, the decor is simple and charming. The person who served us was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. She walked us through the highlights of the wines-by-the-glass they had on offer in a very approachable way and easy to understand for someone like me who doesn’t drink a lot of wine. No one one in the staff was pushy or hovering, but at the same time were right there when we had questions, wanted more wine, etc. highly recommend.
Marco R — Google review
Amazing experience. I was there early, and Eleonora and Abril were the most gracious of hosts. As a newly obsessed wine lover, Eleonora was super obliging in explaining all the wines I tried and generously let me sample some of the cool wines she thought I'd like. The food was incredible too; the paté was amazing. Will definitely go back whenever I'm back in town.
Rodrigo R — Google review
Why do you always find the best places on the last night before you have to leave a city? We spent one month in Buenos Aires and this is by far best place to try many wines from around Argentina by glass. Wines change every single day. The service is absolutely wonderful. Abril is a true gem of a human.
Hassan M — Google review
Honestly, the best wine experience in Buenos Aires. Not just the selection, but the expertise, the care, the service and the vibe. 20 out of ten. Any person that’s reviewed it as less is completely insane!!! Eleonora and staff are legendary. No two tastings are alike and I can’t wait to return:) Thank you!
Yorka T — Google review
Really great spot for wine and small plates! They always have different wine bottles open for you to try a different glass of wine, and will also recommend different ones based on what you’re eating. The cauliflower is a must try! Duck confit was lovely and the sweetbreads were good but a little salty. Super cute spot that I will return to! Free wifi and indoor and outdoor seating available!

Upon arrival, guests receive a special card to self-serve from over 100 bottles using by-the-glass dispensers. Knowledgeable sommeliers are on hand to offer guidance, and patrons can complement their wine selection with small plates or a cheese board.
Wonderful wine bar, cool design, a wide selection of wines and a variety of starters and main courses. We were treated well by Emerson and Santiago who made us feel very welcome. We can absolutely recommend this place and will certainly come back if we are in the area!

We enjoyed many different types of wine using their fun self serve dispensers! Also, we had dinner and everything was amazing. We tried the fish of the day and the chicken as well as a number of different appetizers and everything was delicious. Would 100% recommend visiting. We went without a reservation but it did fill up, so it might be best to try to make a reservation in advance if you can. The atmosphere and service weee also 10/10!

Great way to taste many great Argentina 🇦🇷 wines in one course. Lucas did a GREAT 👍🏼 job in helping me make all the decisions aligned to my palate, as the assortment of alternatives is large. Food was also a positive surprise. Definitely will return.

I have never come across a self-serving wine bar before and this is incredible. The sommeliers really knew their stuff. I don't know my wines very well, I just know what I like and they got it right for sure!

Finally the style of wine bar we can find abroad has arrived to BA: the system allows you to choose which wine you want to taste and how much you want have of it (35, 50 or 75 ml). The wine selection is really good and the space is beautifully decorated. Service is attentive and you can see the staff is ready to assist you with wine. In terms of gastronomy they offer a selection of nice tapas and some main courses. Gazpacho was really nice. But be aware that portions are a little small and focus on the wine experience. Reservations are highly recommended.

Salvaje Bakery is a trendy and bustling spot that offers gourmet baked goods, espresso drinks, and light eats. It's the perfect place to start your day with traditional Argentine breakfast items like croissants dulces, cream cheese toast with jam, and quality coffee. The bakery pays homage to the art of baking with its sourdough breads and buttery croissants.
Breads, food and coffee are delicious! I’ve been here with friends over a dozen times, and often pick up a cappuccino or machaccino to go. Their coffee (and Oli) seem to be the best in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is an authentic rock bakery.

One of my favourite places to brunch in Buenos Aires. Everything I've tried was tasty and everything in the store looks tasty as well! I've been here 4 times and I was always served by the same person who's a lovely guy! Highly recommended.
Konstantinos S — Google review
They serve one of the best cappuccinos (and coffe in general) in BA and you can accompany it with a solid brunch menu and especially great sandwiches, made from the very bread this bakery/coffee shop also sells you to take home. Prices are very fair and portions very generous (huge delicious sandwiches with lots of filling). A great place for brunch (at whatever time of the day). The only negative is that both the place and the tables are very small and there is no real "interior" space. This can be a plus when the weather is nice, but in bad weather you get little protection from the elements. The place is usually very crowded, which to me is a sure sign of them doings things right!
Niccolo' B — Google review
We had a great breakfast at Salvaje Bakery. Charming little place with friendly staff members and interesting art. They have a menu in English and Spanish. I highly recommend the ice coffee and the scramble eggs. They have a bread flight which is delicious. However, it was a lot for just 2 people. Do read the menu carefully if you have any nut allergy cause a lot of the items to do contain some type of nuts like the Parfait and the cheese selection. There is also reliable wifi.
Leandra L — Google review
My first encounter with this grungy little bakery was in 2018, their core specialty is sourdough breads. Not to mention the wide assortment of pastries. Their menu still maintains a faithful connection to its original lineup, it offers a variety of small tapas style dishes that are loaded with flavor and color. Careful attention is paid to the aesthetic. The bakery has evolved and changed over the years, but it’s counter-culture vibe is still evident through walls covered in graffiti, pictures and quotes of Kurt Cobain. Happy to see the pulled pork plate and sandwich have survived through the various iterations over the years. Kind staff and an attentive owner, a key ingredient in the success of any culinary establishment.

Lovely bakery on the edge of Palermo Hollywood. Friendly staff and trendy interior. Limited seating but we opted to take away. Ordered two flat white coffees ($3400 each) an avocado and tomato tostado and huevos revueltos. Total was about $18800. Both items were good, the avocado is an emulsion instead of whole sliced avocado. Lots of vegetarian options.

This is 4 stars ice cream and I tasted like a lot in the B.A. different kind of ice-cream. Definitely, you will be satisfied. But it's not something special for me to put 5 stars. I'm tasting quality of ice cream with chocolate amagro taste, if it's full and ingredients are good it has a lot of cacao powder. This one has like 3+ of flavor and cacao fats. This cafe has some uniq taste I encourage you to try.

The pistachio ice cream in this Palermo Hollywood shop is *ridiculously* delicious, but then so is the chocolate, dulce de leches, and everything else. Polite counter service, cute decor, open late. Don't miss it!
Caitlin S — Google review
A classic and delightful ice-cream shop. The décor is charmingly old-school, the amount of flavors is vast, and the ice creams themselves are incredibly creamy and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, given my very limited capacity to understand ice cream. They were generous with both their samples, and their potions. I particularly recommend the dulce de leche and passion fruit flavors. Very much worth a visit.
Marco R — Google review
Food: I kept seeing this heladería in international ratings and decided to finally try. Tbh I don't know what the hype is about, it tastes like any other good ice cream. Portions are huge though. I took chocolate, dulce de leche, mascarpone, pistachio and maracuyá. Chocolate is bitter, which I like. Pistachio tasted meh, not much taste. Overall good ice cream. Service: it had a small line, from start to finish like 15 min. Atmosphere: sorry to say, but because of how many people are there its not very clean. Im speaking about places to sit down. Price is quite low. Overall recommend to visit if you are close, but not to come specially for it

The tastiest, healthiest breakfast and lunch options! The chicken sandwich was our favourite and we’ve come back 3-4 times a week since finding Obrador a few weeks ago. Then there’s the incredible range of divine handmade / home baked cakes, pastries and biscuits which have to be experienced to be believed - A must, to enjoy with your coffee! Everybody there looked remarkably cool. A real hummer. Edit: taking out one star cuz there's no soap in the bathroom. Not "out of soap" type of thing: no intent for there to be soap. Most unfortunate because it's a gem otherwise. Edit 2: too great a place to withhold a star. Just hold it back and don't go to the bathroom. It's worth it.

La Fuerza is a laid-back bar that offers a variety of sharing plates and hearty mains, accompanied by an assortment of beer, wine, and vermouth cocktails. The restaurant aims to cater to all dietary preferences with its rotating seasonal menu, ensuring comfort for vegetarians, vegans, carnivores, and those with celiac. La Fuerza is known for its Porteño dishes influenced by Spanish and Italian cuisine such as pastas and milanesas.
Lovely bar to try Vermù (fortified wine), super cozy with great service. Try the terrace upstairs if it’s nice out, it’s so pretty! Food was alright, we tried the octavet platter, it was a bit of a strange mix imo and lacking flavors.
Lauren R — Google review
Great contemporary typical Argentine cuisine restaurant serving elevated dishes. The setting is relaxed, menu is uncomplicated. Vermouth is the center point of the drinks menu. Ordered the fainazzeta de napolitana (thick chickpea pancake - think French socca or Italian farinata) with mozzarella and cuartirolo (Argentine melty) cheese, and heirloom tomatoes. Flavors were on point, and it was very filling. To drink I had a tónico de Los Andes. Dessert was a flan con dulce de leche (which certainly could have used more dulce de leche!), but was quite tasty.
Ben N — Google review
Unique experience to have housemade vermouth in a cozy bar. 2 levels, so you can sit inside where it's mildly lit and quiet or you can go upstairs to the outside rooftop. We sat inside and it's the perfect place for a date night experience; we had some of their vermouth tastings and something like croquette balls. I'm not a huge vermouth fan, but really enjoyed the experience here. Vermouth is very well integrated into Argentinian culture, and this bar does one of the top productions of it.
Jenna R — Google review
Can’t rate the food because we came here after dinner, but what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good. This was a great post-dinner drink spot for us. Lots of vermouth cocktails to select from, with vermouth that they make themselves. There are three types: rojo (more bitter), blanco (more sweet) and primavera (in the middle). The drinks were well-balanced and the atmosphere is festive and fun thanks to the colorful artwork and design details. I enjoyed the vermu la fuerza (rojo vermouth and soda) and the Caipi de Verano (blanco vermouth with vodka, mint, and lime). Bar service was not very proactively attentive but we had no problem flagging the bartender when we were ready for another round. Five stars for quality of the drinks, three stars for service, five stars for atmosphere. Also, if you love merch, you’ll likely want to buy a t-shirt!

Fantastic bar where they have home made vermouth. Good cocktails and the food options were very good that we tried. Also they offer vermouth to go. Definitely recommend!
Dave D — Google review
Loved it here. Went around 4:30/5 and their Vermouth and vermouth cocktails were super good and the food we got was great. Really tasty and unique flavors. Cool vibe. Would def recommend!
Tyese M — Google review
Interesting place, it's mainly a place to drink vermouth, which they have many varieties of, but also works as a restaurant with a small but very interesting and unusual menu, sucha as the fainanezza (a combination of faina and fugazzetta), and the buñuelos de acelga, smooth and delicious. My only criticism is they probably should have more options for us teetotal people, and the flan mixto had a lot of cream, but very little dulce de leche.
Alejandro S — Google review
Mixed feelings. Food: some great, some bad Escabeche de hongos : 7/10 good quality Buñuelos de acelga: 9/10 flavorful, perfe tly cooked, soft Fainazetta: 3/10 dry, bitter, unbalanced Croquetas de arvejas y queso ahumado: 9/10 similar to the Buñuelos de acelga. Drinks: not a fan of vermouth overall, which is their strength. That said, I asked for some cocktails with vermouth. Mixed feelings, again Negroni: very good 8/10 La perla del Atlántico (La Fuerza Rojo, Gin Casa Rosa Doble Enebro, almíbar de frutos rojos, limón, soda) : watery, not particularly flavorful 5/10 Atmosphere: trendy, interesting atmosphere. Nice place. We ate inside, which I recommend over the option of staying outside (where chairs and tables are small and uncomfortable) Service: the host was very welcoming, helpful and kind. The waitress was OK, but a little smile would help a lot. She was clearly not happy of working there. Price: Not cheap, at all. Cocktails are particularly expensive relatively. Conclusion: Some great things, some mediocre, some straight bad. I will probably not gonna be coming back soon

Julia Restaurante, located in the Villa Crespo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, is a long-time favorite in San Telmo. The renowned chef and owner, Leandro Lele Cristobal, along with Mercedes Solis, offer a menu featuring Argentine dishes with Spanish and Italian influences such as pastas and milanesas. Additionally, the restaurant houses La Vermuteria at its front - a small vermouth bar and tapas from Cafe San Juan.
Tasty and attentive Food: amazing. The tasting set consisted of several dishes with a wide variety of tastes, textures, temperatures and ingredients. Interestingly, this is the first tasting menu ever, where I enjoyed every dish. I don't even want to spoiler it. Simply delicious journey. A lot of food. Service: amazing. Very attentive without interfierence. Simple yet friendly chat, short food introductions, cleaned the crumbles, changes all the dirty dishes, added water on time. Food served quickly. I don't remember other places where I felt as comfortable. Atmosphere: just right. Small space, designed pretty. Overall I definitely recommend and will come back myself.

Dining at Julia was a super memorable experience. Every dish was a great discovery of flavors of local Argentinian ingredients. I appreciated that they didn't stick to specific culinary techniques, but instead matched the technique to the ingredients and what the chef wanted to express. I would love to return and try a different seasonal menu and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent meal in Buenos Aires. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the interior design was minimal and pleasant.

It is one of the best restaurants in Buenos Aires. A small and cozy place. The service was individualized and the waitress was very friendly and helpful, as well as speaking fluent English. The food was excellent and very well prepared. It was an incredible experience.
Pedro R — Google review
I will preface this review with we had been to the two Michelin Star restaurant Aramburu a few nights previously, and that was fresh on the mind. I thought Julia was very good, but definitely has a bit to go if they want to get one star. To start, the wine pairing felt like it wasn’t worth it. The pours were tiny, and it happened twice where they would take the glass away before my wife had finished. For the food a few of the dishes were really excellent (Beef, Shrimp) while the carbonara and sweet dessert were just okay.
