Rating: 4.8/5 [dine in] This speakeasy is tucked inside a flower shop and has made the World's Top 50 Bars list for 11 years, so we had to check it out! We came on a Friday around 6:30 PM and were seated right away. The vibe was calm enough to hold a conversation, though we were told that around 9:30 PM a DJ comes on and the energy shifts. After walking through the flower shop, a host led us through a hidden door and down a flight of stairs into the bar. The menu is extensive, so it took us a few minutes to decide, but our cocktails arrived quickly. Presentation is simple with no flashy garnishes, yet the drinks were crystal clear and incredibly balanced. They were so good we finished them fast. Highly recommend the Yvy Maraey (14,800 ARS)!

A small flower shop crammed with blooms of every kind is your gateway to Florería Atlántico. I ordered the Pehuén, a smooth, layered blend of Hennessy VS Cognac, Hendrick’s Gin, Pehuén orgeat, and Falernum of Merken. Its tropical, nutty, and fresh profile struck a perfect balance between warmth and brightness. I also tried the king crab empanadas — delicate, buttery, and filled with sweet, briny crab! It’s the kind of bar that doesn’t just serve cocktails; it tells stories through them. Each drink reflects Argentina’s immigrant heritage — Italian, Spanish, English, and beyond — blending cultures just as the city does. Every sip feels intentional, crafted for both memory and curiosity. The bartenders move with quiet confidence, happy to share the origin of a spirit or the reason behind a garnish. The crowd is lively — and even when loud, it’s always with a celebratory energy. It’s easy to understand why Florería Atlántico remains among the World’s 50 Best Bars. Making reservations is highly recommended. But you maybe able to catch a spot at the bar, especially if you’re just looking to have a drink or two.

Stepping into the shop front on the street level, full of flowers. The smell was amazing. The server takes you downstairs to the intimate yet lively bar. Cocktails were amazing. As were the bar snacks. Please visit Floreia Atlantico whenever you are in BA.

Fun place to visit with its secret entrance through the fridge door. Of the drinks we ordered, one was amazing and two were a bit disappointing. Music too loud - at around 7pm - to have a proper conversation. Service was excellent. Not convinced it's value for money - I'm glad I went but have no desire to return.

We absolutely loved our experience here! The atmosphere was spectacular and the drinks were incredible. But what really made our experience was the staff (especially Lisandro)—so friendly and amazing mixologists. We each got two cocktails, but Lisandro let us taste several different liquors. We had so much fun—highly recommend.

600G ribeye is offered less than 350 grams and came with a big chunk of bone. Cost around 40 USD. Probably i missed understood that 600G as 600 grams...? basement smells terrible.. very bad experience

I have visited Tres Monos several times, intrigued by its inclusion in the Top 50 best bars list. I was always very well attended; the bartenders were attentive and happy to explain any questions. The bar counter is a bit short but allows for a fully immersive experience for those seated there. I ordered several off-menu cocktails and was always accommodated. Some classics were given a personal twist, using Argentine substitutes for Chartreuse, as well as house-made gins and liqueurs. The service was impeccable. I did notice a lack of variety in glassware, though all glasses used were of high quality. Most cocktails featured minimalistic garnishes. First night in Buenos Aires = cocktail tour, obviously 🍸 We only had one night so we hit up Tres Monos (Three Monkeys), one of the World’s Top 50 Bars in Palermo. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday, but the vibe was pretty chill (which was nice). Tried three cocktails — they were fine, not mind-blowing. Atmosphere was decent, music was good, and the staff were super attentive. Overall? Just… so-so 😅

The atmosphere was somewhat hipsterish, and the bar wasn’t too crowded — maybe because I arrived quite late, after midnight. Overall, if you’re into cocktails, it’s worth a stop, but don’t set your expectations too high. Depending on your personal taste, it might feel special, or it might just feel like another average bar.

Tres Monos in Palermo is the kind of bar that makes you feel like the long-lost cousin everyone’s been waiting for. I went to 4 different bars on my first day in Buenos Aires and this one didn’t just win — the others didn’t even realize there was a competition. The attention from the staff was so warm… I started wondering if they had mistaken me for a celebrity. The menu is very colorful and packed with creative cocktails. If you’re into sweet drinks, the Bananita Mona is liquid dessert in a glass — highly recommended. They don’t serve full meals, but they do have tasty small bites like the mini sausage. They’ve got WiFi, accept credit cards, and more importantly, they make you feel right at home. 5 stars, mostly for service so warm and charming I started questioning my actual friendships.

I honestly don’t understand how Tres Monos ended up on the “World’s 50 Best Bars” list. Walking in, it felt more like a grungy student hangout than a world-class cocktail bar. The décor is all neon gimmicks and graffiti, and the bathroom reeked of urine, not exactly the standard you’d expect from an award-winning venue. To be fair, my drink was decent, but at 26,000 pesos each the price is absurd for a simple Paloma with Don Julio Blanco when the whole bottle sells for 70,000 ARS. In the end, Tres Monos is coasting on its plaque and reputation, not on quality or professionalism. If you want real craft cocktails and genuine service, you’ll find far better bars in Buenos Aires. This one is all hype and nothing more.

The cocktails were delicious, the bar design is interesting, and they always bring water without asking that’s a nice touch. However, we were very disappointed by a few things that felt unacceptable for a bar that’s ranked among the best in the world. My friend knew they had daily or promotional cocktails for around 6000 pesos, but we weren’t informed or offered them until we specifically asked. That’s not a big deal. it happens. But on our next visit, we came back with friends and ordered the same cocktails, which suddenly cost 9000 pesos each. On top of that, they added a cocktail to our bill that we never ordered. Was it just carelessness, or were they trying to trick us? Either way, this kind of experience should not happen in a place with such a high reputation. We left feeling disappointed.

One of the best if not THE BEST cocktails bar in Buenos Aires. Spectacular drinks, great bartenders and the food is really good. Best choice to sit at the bar. Definitely recommend and definitely going back!

Cool bar/restaurant with interesting decors. The cocktail menu was extensive, and the drinks (Balmoral & Melob Bloody) we got were tasty. However, we found a piece of glass on the top of the ice cube inside Balmlral towards the end of drink. We didn’t bother to mention it since we aren’t fluent in Spanish. We were just glad that nothing happened to us. I’d still recommend this bar - but double-check your drink before sipping it.

Victoria Brown Bar in Buenos Aires is my favorite bar in the world. Its steampunk aesthetic creates a unique and immersive atmosphere. The highlight is definitely their Penicillin cocktail, which is the best I’ve ever had. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates great drinks and distinctive decor.

Rating: 3.2/5 [dine in] Saw great reviews for this spot, so we decided to swing by. Service was great, and they spoke English as well, which was helpful. Unfortunately, the drinks didn’t quite live up to the hype compared to other cocktail bars we tried that day. White Jasmine ($11,500 ARS): Heraclito London Dry Gin, Cardamom, Lemon Honey, Jasmine Tea (ABV 18.8%). Better than the 1869. You can pick up the flavors, but the lemon honey aftertaste was a bit too strong. 1869 ($12,500 ARS): Havana 7 Rum, Zuelo Torrontés Vinegar, Dates, Pomegranate (ABV 19.6%). Sweet, but the alcohol flavor overpowered everything else. Also, the foam topping was too heavy.

Great vibes, very dimly lit and ambient! The drinks were okay — I ordered a tiramisu martini off the menu, which wasn’t my favorite (and didn’t really get tipsy) but maybe their menu items are a bit more promising! There’s a lot of chairs so it’s a bit crowded in there and therefore it gets loud when there’s a lot of people, but I give bonus points for a sectioned off smoking area/courtyard area

Great cocktail bar in Buenos Aires! The vibe is great with dark interior and there is an amazing outside area. I had two rounds, both cocktails were really great! Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is outstanding. One of the best drinks we have tried with my husband. Sebastian and Emiliano were absolutely wonderful and make such an effort in communication even in English. The staff here is really friendly polite and helpful. Food is really good and drinks are even better. 100% recommend

It's easily one of the best spots to go out on a date, or to have a chill hangout with Friends. The inside seating has whiskey lounge vibes, and the outside seating has Hawaiian vibes. All the drinks we tried were a bit sweeter than we like but they were still full of flavor and came with incredible table side presentation. It's one of few places where you can get good goyza and tacos in the same place.

Such a cool cocktail bar! If you want loud music and glitz...this isn't the place for you. However if you want refinement & sophistication and aching coolness...step right this way. We spent a fascinating hour at the bar, chatting to the bartender and watching him make these incredible concoctions with all manner of cocktail tools we'd never seen before - the egg white skewer, the razor sharp strip zester and the ice-filled water still that slowly dissolved a cube of sugar into a glass of absinthe...amazing! There is a green palm-filled side patio outside or deep leather sofas & chairs inside, depending on how cool you're feeling. If this place was a suit, it would be made to measure Saville Row...with a natty little handkerchief in the breast pocket - elegant with a touch of attitude - perfect!

Top spot in Buenos Aires. Great food, cocktails , atmosphere, and most important, service. The place has kept it's great quality y over the 5 last year's and is definitely a must for anyone who wants to enjoy a nice drink and snack (or light dinner) at a place with a bohemian vibe. Expect to pay around 10 usd for a cocktail and "tapas" per person.

We stopped by on the first night we landed in Buenos Aires as our apartment was near by. One of the waitresses spoke English so helped us explain the concept it’s identical to Vagabond in the UK which we love it also allowed us to try lots of different wines from Argentina & the prices for most are really reasonable. We ordered the halloumi & vegetable dish which was the perfect size to share. 100% recommend stopping by if you are in the area as it’s a great way to try lots of wines from the region. Would be a great spot for a date FYI!

We enjoyed many different types of wine using their fun self serve dispensers! Also, we had dinner and everything was amazing. We tried the fish of the day and the chicken as well as a number of different appetizers and everything was delicious. Would 100% recommend visiting. We went without a reservation but it did fill up, so it might be best to try to make a reservation in advance if you can. The atmosphere and service weee also 10/10!

Great way to taste many great Argentina 🇦🇷 wines in one course. Lucas did a GREAT 👍🏼 job in helping me make all the decisions aligned to my palate, as the assortment of alternatives is large. Food was also a positive surprise. Definitely will return.

I have never come across a self-serving wine bar before and this is incredible. The sommeliers really knew their stuff. I don't know my wines very well, I just know what I like and they got it right for sure!

Finally the style of wine bar we can find abroad has arrived to BA: the system allows you to choose which wine you want to taste and how much you want have of it (35, 50 or 75 ml). The wine selection is really good and the space is beautifully decorated. Service is attentive and you can see the staff is ready to assist you with wine. In terms of gastronomy they offer a selection of nice tapas and some main courses. Gazpacho was really nice. But be aware that portions are a little small and focus on the wine experience. Reservations are highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Willy was so attentive and provided an amazing experience. It’s a hip bar perfect for a late night drink or on weekends for lovely music.

Classy cocktail bar with eclectic selection of entrees. There were some fun twists on cocktail classics, like the LatinAmericano. Most seemed to be enjoying the sushi, but we opted for ceviche & the Mollejas. The 2-person cocktail tables are really too small for proper dining, but the atmosphere made up for it.

It’s worth sitting at the bar just to appreciate the show! Diego knows his craft, and has fun with the flourishes.

My favorite place in BA. BA has great bars. And Presidente is definitely a great example of it. Everything about this bar is perfect. The ambience is flawless. The reception and the staff was great. Our waiter was always thoughtful and sharp. The drinks are amazing, well balanced and the menu has a great selection. You can tell the attention to details in every cocktail on the menu. The appetizers are amazing. Don’t stop trying the cheese and fruit table. Such a great combination. It’s our favorite date bar for me and my wife every time we come to Buenos Aires.

I went on a Gin Wednesday. Same thing as in January: absolute perfection. Branca Smash and Buenos Aires Zombie are as good as always. Sushi was delicious (a little sloppy on execution, though). Prices are adequate for this quality of service. Staff is wonderful. I will always recommend this place.

I enjoyed the full experience: to go downstairs and enter a subway car which looked really similar to the original in NYC. The restaurant and bar also have a lot of reminiscence and details to make you feel like you've traveled to the Big Apple in just a matter of seconds. We enjoyed our date night at Uptown. We grabbed the only reservation we found just a few hours before dinner (8pm reservation). The entrance was very fun to walk through. The hostess was friendly and I appreciated her letting us know where the restroom was before we were taken to our seat. The food was delicious. I ate the teriyaki salmon and my boyfriend had ojo de bife and mac just cheese. He ate all his food, and he is picky! The wine was great too. The staff was ok, better than most in Buenos Aires. The hip hop music was also great. It got busy and louder as the night went but the vibe was great! I would recommend it to friends!

This was such a cool concept and place to be in so happy I came while I was here in Argentina! It took me a second or two to find, there was a handsome gentleman letting people in. I descended down the stairs as there was content worthy NYC themed memorabilia lining each step. The whole process of getting into the subway and pressing the button was so cool. You got a little bit of a decompression moment and second to get the content you wanted without as much noise from the music before pressing the button to enter. It really was reminiscent of a speak easy. The vibes, drinks, type of people there. It was all laid back and the type of place that people who know people go or at least that’s how you feel. The”OOPS…. I did it again” was so delicious. And as a religious chocolate girl the passion fruit white chocolate kiss on the side was actually very pleasing. The staff was very friendly. The only thing I was not the biggest fan of was in order to grab a bite there was a minimum. You couldn’t simply get a small bite. Either way cool place and experience definitely recommend

The waiter who has piercings on his face and was serving tonight for a private event, HE SHOULD GET A RAISE!!! He offered me risotto and I told him that I am vegan. He said he’ll try to get vegan food for me and he brought me so many avocado sushis, crunchy tacos and grilled veggies. I was so hungry and you made my night amazing! I really really wanted to give him a tip but I am a tourist and I didnt withdrawal any cash in pesos with me so I am sorry I couldn’t award your kindness and caring but thank you so much! Do not think it twice and just go! The place is insanely cool, they did a terrific job with the decor, I felt like I was in New York for a bit. We had no expectation of the food as this is a bar but ohhhh emmm geeee the food is absolutely off the hook fantastic. The drinks are fire and I’m not even a big drinker. We had many things in the menu but we were MIND BLOWN by their fish soup. So much I wanted to go back in the kitchen and meet the cook. I’m serious. Just go and enjoy!!!

Excellent drink. The fancy ones you'd expect to be made with patience, care and craftsmanship. Thr bartenders are very nice (not like in many places in the US). The place itself is a very unique atmosphere. It's like being in thr streets (and subway) of new York city.

Incredible experience. The best bar in South America! Head bartender, Juan Cruz (the top guy and Barman in all market) has an incredible story telling of all cocktails. Will rate a 10 on the drinks and service. The barman team is high-end as Manu (as funny as sharp in every detail!) Santi (incredible services & high quality taste) and Guillermina (the best bar woman in Argentina and precise in every aspect. The best cocktail team and incredible food that helps a top quality experience. Great for friends and family. Gem mint!

This bar was a wonderful find. We met some friends here at their suggestion, and we were very pleased. Inside, you'll find a beautiful interior where there's an amazing collection of craft cocktails, beer, and wine. We enjoyed some of their food selections, and everything we ordered was wonderful. Don't miss this one!

Honestly, overpriced cocktails and nothing more. When we placed an order we expected interesting mix or unique taste but cocktails weren’t anything special as they presented.

Best cocktails in town! We had a few but the list is endless and there are more on demand. The waiter (who also happened to be one of the barmen) was both helpful and candid and he even encourages you, knowing that the cocktails are so many and diverse, to describe to him what you want so he can suggest one. Food is really good as well and the atmosphere is just perfect for a date or hang out with friends. Will come back for more :)

Frank’s Bar was a pleasant surprise. I discovered it by chance due to its convenient location. The space is roomy, with good music and warm lighting, although it could be better directed. The atmosphere is intimate, with a decent bar counter that allows for interaction with the bartenders. The glassware is high-quality, ice was crystal-clear, and the garnishes were minimalist and elegant. Service was excellent, especially at the bar, though a bit slower for those seated at tables. I ordered several off-menu drinks and was always accommodated.

Cool spot! Recommend making a reservation on their Instagram to get the entrance code. Atmosphere is great. It was pretty dead on a Friday night but still worthwhile. Lots of couples for date night. Drinks were great!

We went on our 1st night out in BA , and the experience was amazing, fast, kind, strong and lovely service, Dylan and Mateo took really good care of us. We loved the fries and the creme brûlée, we came back 2 nights in a row , the cocktails were great, classic cocktails. I loved the old fashioned and the whiskey sour ! We will recommend and come back on our next trip to Buenos Aires The ambiance, decorations and furniture were unique and comfy!

An amazing speak easy! Knock on the metal door, then enter a number into the phone box and before you know it you're in a beautiful bar! Would recommend booking a table - we didn't but managed to get seats at the bar. The cocktails are great, a little pricey but delish! We also ordered drinks off the menu and the bartender was very accommodating

Going to Franks is like entering a time machine set up to go back to a 1920s bar in NYC during the prohibition in USA, truly unique. The drinks are good and food is expensive for the quality of what you get. I'd definitely go back for drinks but not for food. Overall good experience.

Well - what can you say. If the receptionist is still the friendliest member of staff in the entire chain of experiences, then you should really think about your public image. The drinks were excellent! The bartenders don't bat an eyelid and only say the bare minimum. The ambience is actually cool, but what doesn't work at all is the transmission of cartoons via projector. Otherwise, the playlist would be cool if the volume didn't suffocate every conversation.

Good place for cocktails they don't skimp on the alcohol for the drinks... I had four of their cocktails. The blonde with the short hair can speak a bit of English whixh was nice.. And they are quick with the service as well.

Absolutely excellent. Flavors in the original cocktails are well balanced and creative. Welcoming staff and music captures just the right mood and tempo. Decor is an offbeat industrial but the candles placed strategically around the entrance and elsewhere provide dungeon-like seance vibes despite being on the second floor. I admire the willingness to work with unorthodox fruits and bitters while keeping the menu very accessible to all flavor palettes. Will return.

Go here! This meal was amazing! We got the ichiban classico, ceviche, and cavatelli. The ceviche is a MUST! Best ceviche ever. We ended with the warm dulce de leche soufle. What I loved 😍 about this place was the ambiance. I would not say that the food is Michelin quality for those who saw that I am giving it five 🌟 but the whole experience made it five stars. They have a very extensive wine "carte", but their food menu is not quite that extensideaf but there's a little bit of everything for everybody. Are waitress was absolutely fabulous.And sometimes we were helped by other people that work there that were absolutely very nice , very sweet , a great experience overall. If you go to see the cats, we only saw one of them for a very brief, moment.They have a free run of a very big area so it is possible.You can spend the whole time there without seeing the 🐈 but then again, it is not a cat restaurant, It's just that they happen to live there 😉. Again.I also encourage people to read up before asking for a steak temp, as we had to return the first offering because someone asked for rare... but in Argentina there are 5 different ways and his rare translate to Azul/blue. Rare/ jugoso was too cooked. So research is key. But we loved the experience. Also the name sounds really fancy.But when you get there, some people are really dressed up and some people are wearing just jeans and a T-shirt.So it is whatever you want to make it , you don't have to go , I'll dressed up. Its also veru bohemian romantic, but if you want to be outside and the more romantic area you have to get there early before 10 pm 😉!

This is the perfect place for a date. There's a picturesque patio area with some well placed vines. This black cat walks around like it owns the place, which maybe he/she does. Drinks were delicious. Ceviche with the kernels and tigre leche was yummy. Charred corn was a nice touch. I don't think my fish was the freshest because it was slightly mushy, but I still enjoyed it. Seems like there's plenty of tables.

Beautiful place but the food was less than average and the service was terrible.. took almost 45 min to bring the food.. the " Bife de chorizo" was dry and hamburgers were also dry and hard.. Bad meat in Buenos Aires ?.. I will go only for a coffee and the patio as is an old beautiful house

We had a nice dinner here. It´s an informal atmosphere. The fish was really good and the prices are reasonable.

A great building managed so poorly and so sadly that it makes you cry. The location is superb, the environment incredible, the service is such a downer it makes the whole thing grey. I’ll make a suggestion to the management: please refrain to pick waitstaff for their look and actually test their attending skills and experience, you have a gem in your hands, do you really want to flush it down the toilet like this?? Please review your crew and train people a bit better. Two last observations: if you are thinking about using it as a possible photoshoot setting, the prices for it are absolutely insane. The second star is thanks to the food, altogether not so bad.

Lovely restaurant with a beautiful courtyard. Food-wise however, there are better restaurants in Palermo with less than half of their price. Also each portion is very small here as expected in fine dining restaurants. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, but it was a touch overcooked, therefore a little dry. Sourdough bread was nice and moist inside, but a bit too chewy outside. Traditional Argentinian dessert was beautiful. Service was fine, inattentive at times when the restaurant got busy. Overall, nice dining experience for the atmosphere but I was expecting better quality food from a Michelin restaurant.

Absolutely stunning place, a renovated mansion turned restaurant. My friend and I ordered the tea for two, which came with an incredible amount of food for the price, and while everything was delicious, the highlight were the scone. I would return just for those. The staff was friendly and the heat lamps in the patio kept it from getting too cold.

When I arrived for my brunch reservation I was seated and waited for almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to ask if I would like something to drink. I finally got up and asked the lady at the coffee counter for help. I ordered the pasta with fava beans and peas and was quite disappointed. The pasta was overcooked and wet, the dish did not have any distinguishable flavor. The decor is beautiful and the outdoor area is a serene and beautiful place however the food and service are not what I had hoped and expected. I had very high expectations for a restaurant that gets high acclaim. I hope this was a one off experience. Perhaps brunch is not the time to go here.

Great service, delicious food, and truly wonderful atmosphere! This is a delightful, peaceful spot to stop for merienda. The rest of the menu looked very creative and enticing, as well, so I'll have to go back for a full meal. The prices are relatively high but seemed commensurate with the great quality food and experience as a whole. The staff was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommended! EDIT: I went back for a light lunch, and I was absolutely blown away by what I ordered! The liláceas, vieiras tostadas y ajo blanco (a starter that I ordered for my main meal), was an explosion of freshness and deep flavor! I don't remember the last time I had a dish that truly made my mouth water just thinking about it. The individual ingredients were of excellent quality and were exquisitely prepared. I had the panna cotta de jengibre con cítricos y cedrón for dessert, which was wonderfully light and not too sweet with perfectly balanced flavors. The staff was, again, absolutely wonderful. What a great experience!

Loved the vibe. One of the few bars in 'financial crisis hit and super expensive' Argentina that was packed with people. The service was great. Cocktails were excellent. Full marks to Cochinchina. They really deserve their rank in the Top 50 bars in the world.

Cristal was great, everything else not so much. My sister and I visited because this bar was on the world’s top cocktail bar list. We went around 9pm- I loved the atmosphere but you could tell it gets clubby (and influencer galore) later at night. I first had the Blend de las Buenos and my sister had the En casa de. The En casa de was fantastic, but the Blend de las Buenos wasn’t as mezcal forward as I expected. We also tried the Alforsina, which was chocolate forward but it was decent enough. The worst part of our experience was a male bartender (bleach blonde hair tips) that was so pushy. We were unsure if we wanted to eat so we reviewed the menu. He came over 4-5 times while we were reviewing the menu to check in on us. When we decided we didn’t want anything to eat, he asked us if we don’t like the menu - rather than accepting we just didn’t want to eat. I’d say pass, Tres Monos (ranked #10) was better and much less pretentious.

The restaurant offers a stylish setting in Buenos Aires, and the service truly stands out; the staff are attentive and friendly, making you feel well cared for. However, the experience as a whole is somewhat average. The drinks, while perfectly fine, didn't particularly impress or offer anything truly memorable. Given the relatively high prices, one might expect a bit more "wow" factor from the cocktails. It's a decent spot if you prioritize excellent service in a chic atmosphere, but be prepared for the bill. The food was also good, as well, was not impressed in relation with prices.

The bar area is splendid and one of the experiences everyone visiting Buenos Aires really ought to have: the opulent design paired with high-quality electronic music and masterful lighting makes a lasting impression. While the drinks are on the pricey side, they're well-crafted and full of flavour, though not quite as inventive as I'd expected. I didn’t get a chance to try the food, as we were only in for post-dinner drinks, but I’d certainly return to give it a go. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Atmosphere 4/5: warm and welcoming lighting. Water was served right at the beginning without having to ask, which was a nice touch. The bar is centrally located with a huge counter, encouraging immersion and interaction with the space, rather than isolating groups at tables — a major positive. The music was pleasant, though slightly loud. Drinks were of average quality (Jim Beam, Johnnie Walker, no truly premium bourbons). To start, I ordered a classic Boulevardier; the bar added a personal touch by replacing Campari with Limoncello. The result was just okay, 3/5. Presentation also 3/5: simple, thick glasses, basic garnishes, and machine ice instead of large, crystal-clear cubes. Next, I tried a house signature cocktail with sake, cilantro, and coconut milk. The combination was quite interesting and lightly alcoholic. It surprised with its flavor; presentation was 4/5 — a good glass really makes a difference. Too much hype.

This was a decent top 50 best bar in my opinion. Service could have been friendlier. They forgot my drink order and I had to remind them. The drink itself (their version of the Aperol) wasn’t as unique as I’d expect a top 50 best bar to be. The ceviche was a miss. But the mushroom bao sliders was nice (they just needed a sauce). Maybe go to check it off your list but I wouldn’t go again tbh

Atmosphere alone is worth it. Definitely deserving of the speakeasy title. Entrance and story behind the concept is cool. The menu itself was my favorite.

Nicky Harrison was the best bar I visited in Buenos Aires, even though it’s not listed among the Top 50. The atmosphere was impeccable, with warm lighting at the perfect level, comfortable seating, and tasteful music at a volume that allowed conversation without shouting. The bar counter was small but well-lit, giving the space a stage-like character. The bartenders were dressed appropriately and delivered flawless work. The signature cocktail menu was excellent, and any off-menu classic was promptly prepared. High-quality glassware and a wide variety of glasses added personality to each drink. Unfortunately, I only had time for two cocktails, but I definitely plan to return and explore the menu further.

No review needed - Just don’t go. My sister and I were recommended to their speakeasy by the owner of another restaurant. The man and woman at the door refused to look at us or even address us. Clearly their phones are more important than paying customers. There are so many better places to go in the area where the employees will treat you with respect. Go elsewhere.

Amazing experience, everything was perfect and Martin especially was the best waiter, knowing everything about the menu and giving us the best way. There’s a hidden experience if you want to explore a little bit more about the ambiance and the history about the place. There’s a gold mention to the chef, the menu was an absolute masterpiece and the “passion” was such a must.

Great concept and authentic to the prohibition theme. The ambience and seeing is impressive. The service was slow, despite not being busy. Also upon closer inspection the spirit selection is below par for such an establishment. Signature cocktails using Jack Daniels and Gordon's Gin is not befitting. We went for drinks that had their own infused versions which were good. Improve your back bar selection and this would be a real winner

It’s a nicely decorated restaurant, liked the vibe. Reservation is highly recommended. We didn’t have reservation but they managed to find two seats. We had dinner on Friday around 9pm. It was busy. Salmon roll, White & Blue sushi, Seko reloaded (srloin Steak. Food is delicious. Service is very good, helpful server, English menu available. Accepted credit card.

Tried to organize an event here, they took a long time to reply, tried to charge $120 per person even if they stay for 15 minutes in a multi- hour event. We offered to pay for items (with $120 USD min per person) but they refused (after phone calls and emails and messages) to share their menu pricing because then they can’t scam you. Unflexible staff with overrated cheap drinks which they use to scam groups to overpaying. Won’t organize the event and will avoid coming here as a customer

The place is nice and stylish. I like the Art - Deco lower level and beautifull views on the top. But the service is missing a lot. They are grumpy, doesn't speak english (which I expected for a price I payed) and I had to wait for the waiter 20 mintes because she keep ignoring me even though the place was almost empty.

Incredible spot, some of the best views in the city. You won’t be disappointed coming here! The cocktails were great, we did not try the food but it looked good as well. If you just want to have a drink you can show up when it opens and stand at the bar. To get a table, you need a reservation.

Great views! Try to make reservation, or else it’s hard to get a table or even enter. We arrived 10min before they opened (6pm) without reservation. They told us we could stand in line outside and we would enter, but we were told we couldn’t seat in any area as all seated areas were for reservations. They started letting reservations enter first, and around 15min later they started allowing access to everyone else on the “no reservations” line. Once we entered we saw many available seats, but they told us we couldn’t seat until 6:45pm (which must have been their limit for any other person who had reservations). So we had to stand and order our drinks directly at the bar…. & Finally after 6:45pm everybody without table was able to look for a free table or seating area, and simply seat and stay there! (The process was a bit of a hassle with all the specific waiting times and so on… but well, I assume if you have a reservation it must be hassle free). All in all, we had a good time! We were able to find a great table, with an awesome view, and had a wonderful time! Drinks were good! And once we were seated we could order drinks to a waiter, and service was good. Drinks were also quite affordable. (You expect a Skybar like this to be overpriced, but it was a nice surprise to see average normal drinks prices here)

The service time was 6-8pm At 7 I still didn't have the calamari ordered at 6:15. When it was finally brought out, I asked the waitress how are we going to fix this as I have been sitting here over 45 min waiting for calamari while another table was served in a timely manner. She offered to bring me a glass of champagne. I did not believe that was a comparable fix. I no longer wanted the calamari and asked her to take it away. We left soon after. The views and sunset were spectacular. The cocktails were carefully crafted and good

To keep it simple, this place is amazing. The food was amazing. The chicken and steak were more than scrumptious. The drinks were amazing. Views were amazing. Only drawback (if you could call it that) was the service. The servers weren’t as attentive as we expected them to be, but when they did visit our table, they were very nice. I personally would suggest getting dinner on the 19th or 20th floor then visiting the rooftop for a drink after (which is what we did). Overall this place is definitely worth the price you pay.

I heard for years how Argentina has the best meat in the world. This place definitely lives up to that reputation. It is so good that a local that knows all of the best spots recommend it. Thing to know, is to make a reservation. You will also want to have pants. We were in shorts and had to change. It makes sense, it is a nicer place. The view was amazing. It is on top of the building. You can see all around the city. We had walked ten miles that day, and it was fun pointing out the places that we had gone to. You can also spot future places to explore. Most importantly, the food was amazing. We got an amazing steak. I had waited so long to try out the steak. I also had the sushi. It came with quite a few pieces. I really enjoyed the flavor. The service was top notch too. Our waiter was way nice and attentive. He checked to see how we were. When we asked for things like bread and olive oil, he was quick to get it. I would highly recommend this place. I would even say it is a must when you visit Buenas Aires.

Good food and drinks, but the main part is the atmosphere and entertainment. Pool and table tennis, domino and chess. Perfect place to get a hobby.

This place is 🔥 for ping pong and billiards/pool. It’s a bit older but it has charm and definitely there are many people willing to play late into the night. Reasonably priced as well!

No words to describe this anthological café bar. Wide variety of finger food, pizza, salads, all of them very tasty and big portions. Lots of different Argentinian wines, from cheap till expensive samples. Drinks and booze are also available. There are table soccer, table tennis and snooker and billiards.

Best place in Villa Crespo. You can play pool, ping pong, or board games. The food is great because it matches with the atmosphere 👌. 5 star for sure, and I'll come back.

I'm repeating other reviews, but yeah, this is a nice, very local place to chill with some cheap drinks, play ping-pong, and watch football. Great for groups especially, as it's a big place, with a lot of ping-pong tables. There was an Argentina match on when we were there, and a big local crowd watching it, so that was a fun atmosphere. Be prepared to speak some Spanish though as most of the locals won't speak English, or at least won't be speaking it to the other locals...

Love Strange brewery 🍻 but nachos aren’t what they use to be - new ones have dry and flavourless pulled beef. Buyer beware. I've searched across the city for a good sour beer, and I finally found it at Strange! Such cool vibes here and it was even packed at 8pm on a Monday. Now I'm from the Pacific northwest, where craft beer reigns supreme, and while the Cassius Clay here was good, it's definitely not as tart as I'm use to. Doesn't really matter, it's still the best beer so far in BA though!

I travelled through Argentina a few weeks ago. On my last day my brother took me to Strage Brewing so I could have a taste of the local craft beer; and I kind of regret letting him take me there because their beer has now ruined every other craft beer for me. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the most delicious beer I've ever had. It does not matter what you order from their offerings, they are all delicious. And on top of that the staff will give you the warmest welcome imaginable, they'll offer you to have a taste of their product before you order if you're not sure yet. One of the guys behind the bar saw I was intrigued by the beer barrels at the back and he offered to give me a tour of how their beer is made. I got to learn about the process and was even given beer fresh from the barrel. At the end of the night, I bought some beers to bring back to Colombia and the guys there helped me choose which ones would survive the trip without having their flavor altered, and then gifted me a bunch of goodies for me to take home. If you are a fan of beer and visiting Buenos Aires, you simply can't miss this place.

Absolutely loved this place. I came with my parents, who both enjoy craft beer, and we came back one more time during our visit. The beers are fantastic, but the biggest surprise is the food – everything we had was not only delicious, but very inventive from a culinary sense. The vibe is usually very fun and lively. I’ll come back again before leaving the city. Oh, and fun branding as well. 🤘🏼

Easily my favorite bar in Buenos Aires. Everytime I go I always feel like I'm in a brew pub back in Colorado (a compliment). The beers are great, the food is excellent, and the music is always on point.

We loved the beers at Strange. There was a bit of a wait to be seated but truly these beers were worth the wait! Excellent brews and the atmosphere is great as well.

if the bar is an option that’s where we usually sit, even though the patio was a lot more lively mid afternoon. two kitchen options were delicious and destroyed accompanying an impromptu tasting through 7 of their beers. the beers were well made, on point and their descriptions in untappd are amazing. incredibly clean.

Quite an interesting and atmospheric place due to its history. I highly recommend visiting to get the spirit of the century before last. The service is not fast. For some reason, the waiters ask how well the meat is done. But regardless of your answer, they will bring you medium-well,

I went because I read it is the second oldest bar but it wasn’t for me. I ordered the draft beer (chopp) and wurst (with cucumbers) and both were diabolical. The beer tasted sweet for some reason and the wurst was deconstructed and was actually a pate but had no flavour except the meat.

El Federal Bar in San Telmo is one of my favorite spots when I want to soak in Buenos Aires’ vintage charm. The place feels like stepping back in time — with its stained-glass arches, wooden floors, antique cash register, and warm, rustic décor that still holds so much character. It’s cozy, welcoming, and there’s a real sense of history woven into every detail.  The food is pretty solid — their empanadas are a standout, and they do classic porteño dishes well. Sandwiches are generous and satisfying, perfect with a cold beer or a glass of wine.  Service is attentive and friendly, though not always super fast — but honestly, in a place this relaxed, that’s not a deal-breaker.  The vibe encourages lingering, conversations, people-watching. If you come during a less hectic time, you can really enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed. It’s not the cheapest place around, and some items maybe feel priced a bit above what you’d expect, but overall it’s worth it. Whether you’re there for a midday sandwich, afternoon coffee, or evening drink, El Federal delivers more than just food—it gives you a piece of porteño culture.

A classic restaurant in San Telmo. They serve a multitude of dishes from breakfast options to meats. When you enter El Federal you feel like you're going back in time with their really authentic decorations. The restaurant is really fairly priced. One of the best tortillas I've eaten, even better from some from Spain. The milanesas, a classic Argentinian dish is served with real and really crispy potatoes. A great experience for a fair price. The inside is not really accessible as it has stairs right at the door, but they do have street seating that look very pleasant.

Firstly, food is just incredibly delicious. Most importantly, we were surprised we experienced the unexpected hospitality and extraordinary service at the bar. Would love to come back again for sure!

We just stopped in for a drink around noon and it was the perfect time. Very chill, not too many people. We didn’t get to see the bar lit up but we wanted to experience the pace. Their limonada selection is great and I loved the gengibre y menta limonada. Service was friendly and quick. Worth the trip for us!

Great old school bar. This was our first bar in BA, and asked what our waiter recommended to drink and eat. The sandwiches were excellent. And he recommended the Fernet Branca and coke to drink. This is now my new favourite drink. I can see why everyone here loves it so much. Definitely recommend everyone to visit at once if you are in San Telmo.

Decided to visit Los Galgos Bar as it was on the Notable Bars list. The space is not particularly ornate like others on the list, but just a different style. There is a “bouncer” by the entrance, which is odd but don’t let that dissuade you. Service once inside is quite pleasant and quick. Most food items are standard Argentine fare, but don’t well. Don’t expect fine dining though. We ordered the Merluza a la milanesa con papa natural (hake Milanese with boiled potatoes) and the Buñuelos de acelga con corazón de muzzarela con alioli picante (chard fritters) and both were very tasty, quite healthy if you don’t want a heavy lunch. Of course we ended up being tempted by the Budín de medialunas con manzana caramelizada y crema batida (bread pudding made with croissants instead of bread) but we swapped the whipped cream for dulce de leche instead. This I would absolutely recommend ordering as it was spectacular.

Popped in late one night for a quick drink and ended up staying a couple of hours …there’s just something special about this place. The ambience is superb: warm, relaxed, and full of character. The staff were brilliant - welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. One drink turned into a few and eventually they helped me choose some fantastic red wine. Apparently, Los Galgos dates back to the 1930’s and was lovingly restored to retain its classic porteño charm while serving up a top-notch modern menu.

This was an amazing find. We enjoy walking around without a defined path and seeing what we find. Unfortunately, they don't have draft beer so we got canned beer, but I can see they are proud of their wines. We had a light meal which was tasty. The manager saw that I was curious about the history of the bar so he showed me the upstairs. There's another bar upstairs that opens after 8 p.m. or is available for private parties.

Food was good and it was cheap for the portion, the only thing was the server never came with water. We asked an other server and it didn't come too. We had to ask 3 different server to have water. Tortilla was good, a little too hard for my taste but original with the onions on top.

Great vibes, but music is quite loud, I kept wondering if at some point a dance floor would open up somewhere. I had a really hard time finding the menu online, which I didn’t appreciate, but it seems to be a common thing in Buenos Aires, you don’t find menus anywhere. Drinks are cool, however we were unimpressed by the food and didn’t order anything past the appetizer.

Highly recommend checking this place out. Great cocktails (they have beer as well), great service and a very fun atmosphere. A local friend said I should try it and I did and I will certainly come back here next time I'm in BA! The steak was good on the menu and so were the appetizers. Recommend getting a reservation in advance especially on the weekends. Just do it!

We went with a couple of friends and we a great night. Server are really nice. Merlina and Marrin were great! The only thing that it could be improved is the level of the music. There was a moment it was too high and it was impossible to talk, even, with the person you had next to you. It is a restaurant not a bar/disco.....apart from that, everything was good.

This place is a joke. Extremely over priced for drinks that taste like water and they barely fill your glass (the left drink in the picture was how much I was served) . The music was so loud no one could hear anyone and the music was a weird mix of dance and 80s rock. If you want a good cocktail go to doppelganger.

Pretty nice bar! It appears it becomes a club after 11. You need reservations but can stand at the bar if you don’t have one. They have a private area in the back, wasn’t sure what that was. Pretty cool you get to enter through a train car. Drinks were okay, they weren’t willing to make a mocktail so I picked a cocktail and said leave out the Gin. Made my own. I didn’t see anyone eating, seems like a drink only spot. I would try it again possibly

The drink selection at this bar is good. However, the small ice cubes water drink faster; larger cubes would elevate the overall drinking experience. As for the food, while the ceviche was presented well, it lacked the authentic Peruvian touch I was hoping for. The bartender’s friendly demeanor was a highlight, making the visit enjoyable

Stumbled upon this place on accident on our way home. At first thought it was closed but a gentleman opened the door after we knocked and led us to the bar. Diego was fantastic- he gave us great recommendations and tailored our drinks to our flavor profile. WOW ! Be warned the menu changes so definitely come back to try the new menu. Definitely this placed is under hyped.

Creative themed bar with excellent inventive cocktails. It is located at a former pharmacy location and is styled after that some drinks featuring medicinal plants and bitters. The staff is dressed in white scrubs which adds to the atmosphere. Very kind and helpful. Great place to bring your date.

Really awesome cocktail lounge experience. 3D menu, quality service, chill relaxed vibes, and old school pharmacy theme with flasks and scientific ingredients - awesome! I happened to get in without reservation on a Wednesday night, but you can reserve to assure you get in and especially if you have a big group.

Bar Boticario offered good drinks, a strong cocktail menu, and creative clarified cocktails. The glassware was excellent, with light, elegant glasses, and the garnishes were appropriate. I particularly enjoyed the variation on the New York Sour with nitrogen foam, and the Boulevardier was served impeccably with a large, crystal-clear ice cube. All drinks were aromatic and well-presented. However, the bartenders were distant and inattentive, and seating away from the bar was uncomfortable. When I asked to sample a particular spirit, I was denied — something that at a high-level bar would typically be offered without even asking. This was a very strong negative point. Despite the quality of the drinks, my overall experience was mediocre, and I do not plan to return.

Very cool place with interesting back story. It used to be an old pharmacy. The drink menu changes every few months and its done with locally sourced herbs.

Was looking for a non touristy wine bar that could help me learn about Argentina wines and this place was amazing. The owner explained each one and the history behind the maker. I was looking for full bodied super dry and each one of these was exactly that. It wasn’t the standard wine tasting nor flight. They curated the selection based on the experience I was looking for. Did 6 wines and some small plates, all amazing.

We had a fantastic wine tasting with the sommelier April. The wine was delicious and April was very knowledgable and informative, she explained some history of wine and vineyard cultivation in Argentina and why the grapes grow where they do. We tasted several wines from different regions and vineyards. The wine was accompanied by an excellent cheese plate with bread, nuts and jam. It was an outstanding experience!

What an unexpected delight! The mood is very chill, the decor is simple and charming. The person who served us was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. She walked us through the highlights of the wines-by-the-glass they had on offer in a very approachable way and easy to understand for someone like me who doesn’t drink a lot of wine. No one one in the staff was pushy or hovering, but at the same time were right there when we had questions, wanted more wine, etc. highly recommend.

Really great spot for wine and small plates! They always have different wine bottles open for you to try a different glass of wine, and will also recommend different ones based on what you’re eating. The cauliflower is a must try! Duck confit was lovely and the sweetbreads were good but a little salty. Super cute spot that I will return to! Free wifi and indoor and outdoor seating available!

Tremendous location right next to the canal and the Puente de la Mujer bridge! An interesting take on Argentinian pizza (delicious but slightly different than North American style) and lots to see in the area.

OK bar to grab a bit if there is nothing else around. Burger is big and delicious, same with the fries that come with it, cold craft beer, it is just a bar in the middle of other restaurants. Bathroom is downstairs with the underground garage and it is a nightmare.

Really nice place to go with some friends or even your family, today went exceptionally well I won't complain! Today I had THE best mozzarella pizza ever!!! And the quilmes beer just awesome all of it! Well done... I highly recommend this place. Located in the most expensive neighborhood of Buenos Aires couldn't be better than that, surrounded by the great "Puente de la Mujer" actually right across from the bridge just great... again today I feature El Boleo Bar... well done!

The view is fabulous, right across the Puente de La Mujer :) Prices are reasonable. We didn't order anything to eat, but we got some peanuts for free! Be careful with the pigeons, though hahaha they love peanuts. What I didn't like so much was how long the waitresses took to bring us the beer, but they were polite and helpful. As for the restroom, it was not so clean. Other than that, I had a good time at El Boleo. Oh, and they have WI-FI for free.

This is one of my favorite Palermo Soho cocktail joints and should not be missed. The area is a sea of options, so have fun finding your fit. Rey de Copas offers Classic and interesting local cocktail twists served by professionals, backed by chill tunes that compliment a most impressive setting. Hosted by a historic registered building and filled to the brim with Boho Chique charm wrapped in Morrocan warmth, and antique eastern accessory, it is a space that demands a smile. Hit the roof top with some friends for a few before heading over to a Beebop reservation for some compound excellence of live music. there are better cocktails in town, but total value is on point here. I can't speak to the cuisine. My BA experience always includes a stop here

Excellent place for a late night drink. The ambiance is really good, unique and transports you to a totally different place. Sort of middle Eastern vibe. Unfortunately they don't offer Hookah /Shisha, which would have been a perfect placer for it

By far, my favorite bar in Buenos Aires. We came here twice during our stay because we loved it so much. The drinks are well priced and constructed extremely well. The vibe is also unbelievable here, try to get a spot on the rooftop. Would come back again in a heartbeat if I’m in the area again.

Amazing and very hard to miss grand mural greets you as you walk up. Photogenic themed cocktails are great even if not the best I've had but well worth it for the price + the experience IMO. Service wasn't great for us but it happens. Too bad we came in a Monday they Have great drink deals on Wednesdays.

I love this place, the ambience is nice and the drinks really creative. They've gotten better with the concepts. One little negative thing: most of these drinks are very sweet. Anyway, I think the best thing is that they are not expensive at all. Other bars around charge you way more for drinks that are poorly presented, but this place clearly puts love and creativity on their product. PS: Be careful of the steps! I almost fell when I was going to the toilet.

You can tell this is a fun place and loved by many. The inside is very nice and perfect for catching up with friends. We came early so it was a bit empty but the service was quick. Outstanding cocktails - Johnny Wonka - never seen Johnnie Walker Red used in cocktail though it worked really well as its not something you would drink neat. Rum blend served in a skull mug was fab too. The music was ace too - place has awesome vibes overall. Best of all though was the service. Super welcoming upon entry and assistance with choosing a cocktail and offering to make a classic if we wished. 100% recommend this place! Must visit!

Oh the way I stumbled in here at 3am. The drink was good, and aptly served in skull goblet. Some shots were begrudgingly involved. Very homey friendly vibe from staff and patrons, and a great (late) late night (almost morning haha) option.

Best bar with the best price for a drink relation. The staff is really friendly and prices are good. You can ask for anything and they’ll make it for you. Is a Barman’s bar so is opened really late and they have one of the best burguers. Are small but incredible, and the quality of everything is great here. I love this place

I usually don’t visit cafe’s and restaurant’s recommended by travel guides, but this time, the recommendation was spot on! I didn’t know what to expect. A grande entrance with 2 large doors. When you walk in, it feels like you are walking into an opera house. The lighting, ambience, people talking, laughter, and staff moving between tables whilst smiling. Organized chaos and feel good environment. I have never seen or experienced a cafe in such a grande scale. It was like watching live drama unfolding in reality. I was looked after by Yamii. Great service from her and a very pleasurable person to converse with. It was a highlight of my trip to Buenos Aires! Please do visit this place even if you have to queue up outside for some time. It will be worth it!

I went to this historic place and the line was about a 30 minute wait. They told me there is always a line. I went past there again today and the line was half of when I was there. So I recommend going during the day on a weekday. The food is ok, nothing special. I might not have ordered that well. It seems like most plates around me were sandwiches. The building is phenomenal. Very beautiful and historic. The chairs were really comfortable. For me, it is a one and done. I'm glad I went, but I would try other places for the food. Service was good and professional. I like the uniforms. Must try it at least once!

Café Tortoni is a fascinating place — stepping inside feels a bit like traveling back in time. The menu is a little unusual (cake for breakfast, anyone?), but the food was actually quite good. You can tell the service is optimized for efficiency rather than a leisurely dining experience, yet it’s still absolutely worth a visit for the atmosphere and historic charm alone.

This is a tourist must-go place. After seeing much of street cafe shops selling similar bakeries pastries, I think it's time to try authentic traditional cafe even with long line. The menus are in Spanish, we need google translator and an english speaking waiter to explain to us. For simplicity we chose a combo for 2- Té del Atardecer (2 infusiones, 2 copas de jugo de naranja exprimido, tostado mixto, alfajor, brownie, 2 medialunas, 2 churros, tostadas, manteca y mermelada). Well it might be for breakfast, it did not matter. The food is so so, I'm not coffee lover, so no comments on coffee. I did enjoy the classic decor with history, in the middle someone briefly showcased bit of tango, that's bit of surprise. Overall we did enjoy our experience.

For a very popular and touristy place, we were impressed. There was a brief but efficient queue to get in and we were soon seated in a nice place. The layout and vibe are very cool and you can sense the history. The churros, hot chocolate and coffee we got were all lovely and not bad value for a place like this (c$40,000). While they have separate tango shows downstairs for a cost, they also put on a mini free performance in the cafe at one point. Well worth a visit.

After reading loads of reviews about this 'must visit' place in Buenos Aires, I thought I would give it a go. I think others must have been thinking the same things as the first two times there were really long queues outside, which only made me more determined to go in and see what all the hype was about. We managed to get a table in the late afternoon and the understood its popularity. It was like stepping back in time. The design of the place was very art deco and amazing to look at. There were live tango dancers moving between the tables. I expected the food to be over priced given its popularity, but was really surprised that it wasn't. It was like travelling back in time, a great experience and highly recommended.

How nice and authentic place to have traditional breakfast at when in Buenos Aires! We absolutely enjoyed the service, vibe and the amazing medialunas con cafe! We hope to go back one day!

In business over 150 years ago, it comes across that it can go for another 150 years. It is a great stop after visiting the Recoleta area : the cemetery and the Floralis Generica garden. We enjoy the atmosphere as much as the pastry and the cappuccino. With ample seating and waiters in classical uniform, times seems to stand still in this cafe, it is a place to relax, to read a book or simply to chill. We do not speak much of Spanish so the waiter even makes an special effort to show us the pastries and let us choose. It turns out to be very delicious. The cafe even offers sugar in different sizes. We think it is a stop to add to your Recoleta trip.

We were made aware of this restaurant while on private tour in Buenos Aires via an introduction by our guide. We ended up back here to grab a quick snack after walking around the city. ATMOSPHERE: They're located near the Recoleta Cemetery. As you enter, you're greeted by a table occupied by life-like statues of two men who used to frequent the place, Argentine writer Adolfo Bioy Casares and his writer friend Jorge Luis Borges, both of whom wrote a book together and whose photos adorn the restaurant's walls. The inside decor is dated, a bit like an old European eatery crammed with dark-stained wood low tops but still classy at the same time. A fairly large outdoor terrace sports an equal amount of seats as well, with partial protection from a big tree. But according to the menu, food costs a bit more to eat out rather than in. Odd! MENU: Tons of different selections but we were looking for something sweet or coffee-based. DESSERT: Café Vienés This is their version of an affogato which came in a tall glass and consumed like a milkshake. The creamy coffee flavors totally hit the spot! Lemon Meringue Pie (slice) The crust was moist and buttery, the filling creamy and lemony. SERVICE: Our male server was great. Very professional and attentive. OVERALL: A bit pricey but everything was tasty!

Great outside atmosphere but the service is beyond atrocious. I’ve finished my lunch about 30 minutes ago and nobody has cleared my plate or asked if I want anything else. Just horrible. There are 10 other restaurants near here - would suggest any others over this one. The ancient waiters simply don’t care.

The place itself it’s nice and the service it’s good, now the food it’s just ok, the pastries were mostly dry and even a bit old, nothing great.. much better pastry shops in Buenos Aires for that price and even cheaper. It’s an experience and I think you pay for that, good to visit once but wouldn’t go back.

A true historical landmark of Buenos Aires. The architecture and ambiance harkens to the end of the 19th century when it was built. With over 30K reviews on google maps, very little else could be said about Cafe las Violetas. But I will add this, the food and pastry are hearty and delicious, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. I will also add that it is a must-visit item on your sightseeing itinerary of the city.

This is one of the emblematic cafés in Buenos Aires, making it a “must visit.” However, in our experience, it was extremely overrated. We got a table quickly. Our servers were friendly and the service was fast - this was the only good part of our experience. We ordered the mixed sweet-savoury merienda for $50,000 ARS. For the price, one would expect top-notch quality. That simply wasn’t the case. The savoury platter was better than the sweet one - but it was “meh” at best. The cakes and pastries tasted old and stale. I’ve bought better-tasting cakes at Costco and Metro in Canada.

The service could have been a little more attentive, like cleaning up the plates when we were done and ask then if we would like to order anything else. We were talking for half an hour over dirty plates until i finally waved the waiter and asked him to take the plates and to bring me some tea. He was very nice but I think waiters there should be trained to be proactive , approach the table from time to time and ask if the guests need anything even after they serves the order.

The interior is beautiful, and that alone makes the place worth a visit. But that’s the only reason you’ll have. The menu options are limited, the desserts are average, and the place itself is very packed and therefore quite noisy. You’ll hardly be able to have a relaxed conversation in a comfortable setting here. Prices are moderate.

This is a must-visit coffee place in Buenos Aires! It vibes with its history and it takes you to other times. It’s not a modern coffee shop - but it brings its greatness to the present. Staff were friendly although moving a lot considering the place was busy. About the food, the juice and the cappuccino were great! - The grapefruit juice was abundant (see the pic) and it was super fresh. Cappuccino was also a nice size and delicious. The Avocado toast wasn’t as great as others I’ve tried but it was good. I don’t know if other stuff of the menu was better, I usually always ask the Avocado Toast for comparison to other places and because I really like it - I’d recommend making it a little different, maybe adding some tomato cherries or trying a different presentation with something that elevates it a little bit. I spent 10000 pesos Argentinos (January 2024) (remember I order juice, cappuccino and a plate)

Located in Palermo, one of the most well-known neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, this restaurant is a must-visit. It offers local charm, excellent service, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious Argentine gastronomy and a great wine selection. Reservation is a must there are two options: outside terrace and indoors. Added to my fav’s list. 😉

I stopped by for an early dinner without a reservation, and the front desk staff was super friendly—they gave me a few different seating options to choose from, which was great. I ordered a gin and tonic and got to pick from a nice list of gins. For food, I went with the Canelones, and they were amazing—especially with the tasty red sauce. I finished with the flan, which was the perfect classic dessert. Service was awesome—my server, Rodrigo, was really helpful, gave great suggestions, and made the whole visit totally worth it.

We just dropped by and had our light lunch. The blood sausage is incredibly delicious. Salad is very nicely seasoned and bread with lemon olives oil is a nice touch. Lemonade is very refreshing and tasty. Tortillas is okay. In general, price is slightly higher but a great experience.

Without a doubt an absolute MUST for Buenos Aires! We arrived on a Monday at 7:30pm, the staff were so attentive and without a reservation we waited for about 20min only which was fine, especially as they give you a waiting drink, delish! We were seated at the bar which I would highly recommend because watching the Chefs in action was a work of art. We saw every dish coming out and it was perfection, and everything we ordered tasted amazing, I wish we could have ordered more and hope we can come back before we leave. Complementary housemade bread and olives to start, so classy. Wine from Mendoza was delish and then as a surprise (because the chefs probably saw how much we were enjoying ourselves) they gave us desert on the house which was the cherry on top! If we were locals, this would be our weekly spot!!

I really enjoyed this place. We ordered two small plates and two veg dishes. More that enough food for two people. The waitress said all the food should be shared so we did. You get complementary bread and a few olives plus a lovely chickpea and provolone tart to go with the meal. Great place and great food. Ignore the haters in bad reviews. No, it’s not cheap but go to MacDonald’s if you want to watch your budget. The food here was well worth it.

At El Preferido de Palermo, the Milanesa I ordered was a full of texture and flavour, Accompanied by a fresh grilled asparagus. Washed down by a couple of excellent wines . I really enjoyed having dinner at the counter overlooking the restaurant kitchen. The staff was very professional and very focused on detail. We have just returned from a week at the Four Seasons and I wanted to put on record my thanks to the entire team at Pony Line. We spent a number of evenings in the bar and from the first moment we arrived we felt like we were treated as friends. I was very impressed by the ability of the waiting staff to remember our names (and orders) throughout the week. We were greeted each evening by Misy and she was such a welcoming person. We talked about things that we had did that day, whilst Misi recommended some uniquely Argentine food and drink. We were primarily served by Guido through out the week, with Alan looking after us on the last evening. Both guys were exemplar, giving us advice on the menu options and making conversation with us. These exchanges felt totally genuine. We had a fabulous time throughout our week at the hotel. All the staff were brilliant, including the bar staff. Thank you to Misy Alan and Guido for making our time there so special. And yes, the famous burgers are THAT good!

The greatest compliment I can give this place is it's the equivalent of 40 USD for a burger, and I absolutely couldn't care less. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, remarkable service. My waitress, Alexandria, was incredibly kind and helpful but really the whole staff is just that way. If you're a local, you probably already know about this spot but if not check it out! If you're a tourist, it's going to be one of the highlights of your trip

Pony Line is located inside the Four Seasons Buenos Aires. It serves at the hotel's main lounge, thus is open only at night. ATMOSPHERE: Located just off the lobby, it's a small space with lounges, high tops and bar seating. It' s not a dance club by any means. The crowd was younger-local and the vibe felt like an upscale social event, making for easy conversation with not too loud DJ music. Decor is warm and contemporary. MENU: Bar-style apps, charcuterie, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizzas, desserts. While we didn't eat, my spouse and I were looking for a night cap. Because we were guests of the hotel, we didn't have to pay a cover charge. Being that it was a Saturday night, the place was filled but not overly crowded, meaning no seats were available but no one was standing around either. We were told we'd get a spot ASAP but instead of waiting, we decided to walk across the street to the row of restaurants that are under the freeway overpass. Personally, I like to explore the city and not just stay in the hotel anyway. As expected while walking by the place on a Sunday night, it was completely empty! Oh well. OVERALL: Maybe next time we'll get to experience the food and drinks. So, it's a 3-star for now.

Arguably one of the best dry-aged burgers that I have tasted. The complimentary sauces enhanced the flavor, but the burger was equally tasty without it. Service was prompt, but I had to nudge the staff when paying the bill. We were staying at the hotel, so I’ve also visited once for the cocktails. The bar scene was lively, but my cocktail was just OK. It was nice to have some homemade chips to munch on when sipping a glass of wine!

From start to finish the experience was fabulous. The service was on point, but not overwhelming, perfect. The food was spectacular. I toured the kitchen and it was spotlessly clean and well organized. I am a Restaurateur and a former Food Network TV Host so when I say this place was great I mean it and do not take reviews lightly. If you are planning a trip to BA be sure to add Anafe to your list.

Deserves a 5 star rating because of the price quality ratio of the dishes. It has a seasonal menu so any recommendation might not be there next time. However, the cachapa and the carpaccio were outstanding. Do not miss their signature paté dish and also their profiteroles for dessert. Wine selection is big and with good prices. Would love to come back! Particularly with a group of friends so that you can try more plates!

Anafe is an absolute gem and one of the best dining experiences we've ever had! From the moment we walked in, everything was extraordinary. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal. Chef Meli is a true artist—each dish was meticulously crafted, bursting with flavors, and left us wanting more. The wine pairing was impeccable, complementing each course beautifully, and the dessert was simply divine, the perfect finish to a spectacular evening. Anafe exceeded all of our expectations, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!

Everything was extraordinary good! We had an amazing dinner, tried almost everything on the menu! The pork and beef carpaccio were my favorites. Desserts also delicious. The service was great, very understanding, half of our party couldn’t get there early, and then show up with plus two, and they were super helpful adding them to the table, which usually is an inconvenient in many places. Great selection of wines too! Very good prices for a Michelin guide restaurant!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff was friendly and kind, and I would make it a priority to go back.

Food was outstanding and innovative. Definitely make room for dessert (no one should leave without trying the Strawberries and Sambayon or the Pavlova). Service was very attentive and corteous. We are in town for New Year’s Eve & booked a reservation at Isabel Bar. They sent me o & confirmed reservation. We showed up at 21:00 on NYE to find the restaurant has closed. Now we are 6 people trying to find a place to eat in a city that is fully booked or closed. I will NEVER recommending this place to anyone. The worst thing to do to someone trying to enjoy a city

CLOSED UNTIL FEBRUARY. We had a reservation for New Year’s eve which was confirmed on 16/12. No one informed us that the restaurant would be closing. We had to find out once we arrived for our reservation and the restaurant was closed with no one answering phone calls or whatsapp. The only information that could be found on the closure was on Instagram. Ridiculous especially for a holiday reservation

Half price happy hour with invisible Ts&Cs... Heard the table next to us clarify "are all drinks included", after we had already assuming happy hour was a no strings invitation to get more drunk for less deniro. Was pretty dead at 7.30pm but I'm sure this place is lively later, drinks were enjoyable and reasonably priced in comparison with UK. Dimly lit, cool decor, funky music... All seemed a bit poncey but I'm sure others would love this swanky cocktail bar.

Like any other city if the staff doesn’t know you, you need to make a reservation. Yes you have to pay for a table because it’s an intimate space. The hostesses are both very polite and well trained as is the entire staff. The drinks are top notch, and the service is excellent. The music, lighting, and sound are on point. Overall one of the premier nightlife spots in Argentina. Come dressed to impress. I highly recommend this establishment!

Excellent place to have a delicious meal. The menu ranks from varied options of fish being the specialty sushi. The cocktails selected are so tantalizing that you're invited to try thrm all out. Good choice to go as a couple or in a bunch of friends.Highly recommendable

The bar is at the rooftop of a fancy hotel, but don’t worry we were not on our best suit but we were treated as any other customer. The drinks are expensive but the view of Puerto Madero is one of a kind. I would recommend to have a drink at sunset to enjoy the view

Food options were limited, but food quality and taste was great. Good service and good views. Restaurant is located in a hotel rooftop so high prices should be expected. I would recommend for sunset.

Ridiculous price to sit and enjoy the sunset! 9000 pesos per person minimum to sit on chairs that are in bad shape. The food was average and the drinks, meh! The 3 stars are for the view and that’s it. See all these pictures in the reviews and save your money. Sorry Crystal Bar, we were not impressed 🤷🏻‍♀️

All stars for the view and it’s a lovely place. If you are visiting Buenos Aires, do come to this bar. You have the best and nearly complete view of the city. Get there at 6pm if you want sit outside with a nice table.

Upscale restaurant - if you go an hour before they open and line up for waitlist, you can probably get a table if the size is reasonable. We got a table for 4 for 8pm which is when they open. Based on our tastebuds, the mains (meats) were pretty average but all the sides and desserts stood out. The mushrooms were divine, ice cream was super, beat salad was refreshing, onions were great, etc.

I'm going to be a "the emperor has no clothes" person on this one. It's all decent, but nothing I'd go back for. The whole "we have no reservations until next year" is a PR game, the place never filled up, and the "hopefuls" line at the door all got seats. Sorry, but that many people didn't just fail to show up and leave tables open. Cooking and presentation were uneven, service was haphazard. And all rather expensive for what you get.

Top top top! If I could, I would return everyday to eat here. Food is creative while showcasing local products/food, everything is delicious, and executed to perfection! The service was also very warm, welcoming, and everyone was so kind! They gave us excellent recommendations for food and wine. Lastly, the wine list has incredible local gems! One of my favorite restaurants in Buenos Aires. We were here several times, usually with the friends and family. Everything was great, from the service to the food.

Wow. This place is amazing. My friend and I were waking around the neighborhood and it started pouring rain . We saw this nice restaurant on google maps to we went in for dinner. It was late and we didn’t have a reservation but the host was more than accommodating and sat us at the bar for a drink while they prepared our table. The bar staff was excellent and we were sat at our table in about 15 minutes. Marcos our server was so helpful and very knowledgeable about everything in the menu, and he spoke perfect English (great for us, since our Spanish is limited). We had some empanadas a salad and roasted carrots for our appetizer. I had the grilled shrimp and my friend had the pasta with pork. The attention to detail was amazing. It really was a top tier experience. I would recommend this to all my friends. The food was delicious, the staff was so nice and welcoming the overall experience was 10 stars! Thank you so much for a great, unexpected mea.

The service is amazing and the somm is so knowledgeable. The ceviche and selection of wines and cheeses are spectacular, the rest (including the chipa everyone is obsessed with) is fine but not as wow as the hype would lead you to believe aka overpriced.

Nice brewery with delicious beer at very good prices during happy hour. I haven't eaten there yet, so I can't rate the food. But the nachos looked good ;-) I like to come here after work for a beer.

Great staff and owner! Friendly and knowledgeable. They regularly have new beers on tap so there's always something interesting to try. The kitchen makes great dishes so this should be on your "must visit" list when you're in Buenos Aires.

The lace is awesome with all Argentina craft draft lines. There are some import bottles, mostly macro stuff from Germany. The staff really cares about the product and they know about what they sell. They will let you sample a few things but don’t be a dbag and take advantage. The place is more like a bier garden then a craft house and there’s plenty of room to walk around.

Really nice view over the city of Buenos Aires from the rooftop bar. There are two terraces you can pick from, the second of which wasn’t crowded at all. The service wad excellent. The hotel overall is very impressive and the bar experience was as expected.

We had an absolutely incredible experience. The sunset views are awesome and the food (we had starters and selection of sushi) was fantastic. The bar has a super nice vibe (including lounge music) and atmosphere.

What a great spot for a special (or any) occasion! This is a lovely space with great views, professional and friendly service, fortunately lots of heaters, and very tasty dishes. My wife and I had some great cocktails and a few snacks. The salmon nigiri was super fresh, the carne empanadas w/ 3 salsas were great and the phyllo rolls w/ vegetables and teriyaki sauce were very good as well. Unf., my pix didn't come out great but here they are!

Nice Fancy Roof Top Bar in town. Perfect to have a drinks with friends, couples or a nice after office on the top of the Alvear Hotel in Recoleta. Very tasty dishes to share. If you go early, its a bar with tables and sofa where you can eat and listen to music. Old house. The first floor though becomes more of a club after some time with old music like 80s techno, 90s rock funk. This happens almost everyday, but not everyday. Good cocktails, great waitressing. Food ok, maybe expensive. Beer has few options but is a cheap option. I think what makes Ferona great still, is the vibe. When it becomes a club it usually is really fun, and people actually dance, very party-like, to classics.

It was maybe my favorite place in Buenos Aires, but the new place they moved to just isn't as good as the old one is. And it's very pricey to enter as well (15.000 ARS, though includes a cocktail), for me no longer worth it

Very good place, the ambient is lugubrious (talking about lights) It's a friendly place and people caring. The COVID-19 Protocol was handled appropriately. Inside, the sound is strong and it increases going at the later hours. But for me the music was perfect ( pop electric, eighties, etc). The food was really good❗👌.

This is one of those places that you'll probably never find without the help if someone who knows the area. It's a Charming place what are those places that probably has a bit of History and everyone is laid-back and outgoing. The waiter fixed me a margarita and did put a lot of time and effort into making sure that it was a good margarita so plus plus plus right there

It's a bar/ dance club with a retro funky vibe. Music is 80's 90's mixes with a modern twist. It's a bit small and cramped has an upstairs dance area and the downstairs floor. Bar is on the ground floor, drinks were OK.

Fantastic live music (jazz, tango, folklore, etc) and cheap drinks in beautiful, run-down old building with a bohemian atmosphere - one of my favourite places to go out in Buenos Aires.

El ambiente es tranquilo tiene varios espacios subdivididos con mesas por los distintos tipos de eventos que manejan. Todo el lugar tiene un estilo único muy interesante. Lo único un poco negativo fue que las sillas / mesas se tambaleaban daba miedo de caerse, creo que habría que cambiarlas por otras más nuevas.
