Nature & Wildlife Areas
Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch is a sprawling natural area featuring seven ponds, hiking trails, and an observatory. The park is home to diverse wildlife including ducks, waterfowl, fish, and desert cottontail rabbits. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the lake from a floating boardwalk and explore the park's flora and ponds through interconnected walking trails.
Nice surprising wetland area in the desert - great place for the whole family. Take a picture of the map and use the compass on your phone since they could use more signs at each intersection to take you to the bathrooms and entrance - there are a few. They have the ability to control what ponds get water as needed.
David Z — Google review
What an incredible oasis in the middle of a largely desert region! The shady trees and water bodies make it a great hiking area even during the summer. Short easy hikes and you can make them into longer trails according to the route you plan out. We went during peak summer so some of the ponds were dry, but still there’s a lot of water birds and other wildlife for bird watchers and nature lovers. We happened to go on a cloudy day and really enjoyed the place. There are benches to sit on and contemplate the view. All for free!
Marina B — Google review
Me and my kids we love this place. We discovered it and will always make this a place to go back to for years to come! It is absolutely beautiful. I’ve seen so much wild wildlife here so many beautiful families here just enjoying the nature and just being with Family and friends and taking family pictures and having picnics and trail hiking I just loved the vibe the feeling the experience was everything. I’m so happy I discovered this place.♥️
MS — Google review
This is a really great spot for walking, running, and walking the dog, especially in the summer since there is lots of shade. The scenery and wildlife is spectacular: birds, squirrels, bunnies, etc. There is a mix between paved trails and dirt trails, so can be a good spot for those who have mobility issues. Lots of ponds/lakes for fishing. There are a few restrooms around the perimeter. The preserve connects to several trails that can take you to other great parks in Gilbert. Parking can be difficult as the lot is very small.
Jordan S — Google review
Great park for walking. Unfortunately a lot of the ponds are currently dry. The paths are well maintained and clean. There are a few homeless that made me a bit uncomfortable but generally I felt safe. There are so many ducks and birds it is amazing. The community around the park is very nice. I go here to walk or run the trails and very much enjoy it.
Katie K — Google review
Brilliant idea from the Gilbert civil engineering urban planning departments. Free, safe, and well maintained park. Perfect desert oasis with much wildlife in the city! Highly recommended for homeschool moms searching for a life science field trip.
MH D — Google review
It's still a beautiful clean place, it surprised me that some of the lakes were dried up but its still a beautiful place. When went we saw fish in the pond. That was different, So its just a nice place to connect to nature.
Skye H — Google review
My favorite spot is the Riparian Reserve at Water Ranch I love going there with the kids early in the morning to spot birds along the water, walk the trails and then enjoy a picnic under the mesquite trees. It’s peaceful, natural and right in our backyard.

Nature & Parks
Freestone District Park, located in Gilbert, Arizona, spans 88 acres and offers a wide range of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. The park features a stocked lake for fishing, lit sports fields including softball, basketball, tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts with water timers to keep the sand cool. Additionally, there's a dedicated skate park area for skateboarding and in-line roller skating. The park also houses the Freestone Recreation Center which hosts various programs and classes for the community.
So much to do at this park. Soccer field, basketball courts, a little lake to fish in, the water is reclaimed water to I catch and release. It has a skateboard park too! Lots of trees and places to have a birthday party there! They also have little rides for the kiddos and you can ride the little train for a small fee. We had fun feeding the ducks!
Lori Z — Google review
This is a gorgeous park with local fishing available; tons of birds and wildlife, the grounds are very clean and it’s just a nice atmosphere to be in :) my only complaint is that the attractions were not staffed well, we got tickets for the train but waited through 2-3 scheduled ride times because there wasn’t a staff member to conduct the ride. Kids still had a great time and enjoyed the train once the conductor showed up!
Francisca R — Google review
This is a big park. Lots of ooen playarea, kids play structure and much more activities can be done here. Good for day to spend. There are some paid activities are here like Train ride, small train to accommodate kids and adults. This is $5 each person. Colossal ride and some other rides as well, they are good for kids. Lots of lakes are full with Bids and ducks, good spend time with nature and good for photography. There are playgrounds for Basketball, volleyball and much more.
Ashish D — Google review
My childhood park with restored train rides and small carnival rides as well as baseball fields and green fields. Water features are lovely, ducks abound, and fishing is available.
Kaity T — Google review
This park is beautiful, clean, and really peaceful. The pond was full of ducks, and the kids had a great time at the playgrounds. It was my first visit, but I’m definitely planning to go back to enjoy the trails and scenery again.
Samantha W — Google review
Friendly park. Kids love this playful park, with kids play area, pond and rail way. Great place to have picnic, have a walk and take a little ride.
Shirley F — Google review
This beautiful large and shady public Park is treasure in Gilbert! This magnificent Park has many walking paths, multiple duck ponds and waterfalls, and even amusement park rides for young children including a Ferris wheel, Merry-Go-Round, as well as an open air train that children and adults can ride all around the park. A fantastic experience for all ages!
Dennison R — Google review
This park has a parking lot! ^_^ Also, the walking path was so lovely. There is a pond with a waterfall you can see from all angles during your walk. And so so soooo many ducks and birds! And the best part: plenty of shade!

Flea & Street Markets
Gilbert Farmers Market, located in Downtown Gilbert near the iconic Water Tower, is a lively open-air market held every Saturday. It features a wide array of local and organic produce, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as artisanal food products from over 60 vendors in the summer and nearly 100 vendors in the fall and spring. The market aims to promote sustainability, healthy eating, and green living while educating the community about the benefits of consuming locally sourced food.
Fun little market to enjoy every Saturday! We spent a long weekend visiting Gilbert from North Idaho. We wanted to do something fun and local and this did not disappoint. More food trucks than I had anticipated.
Jeff B — Google review
This market is really loaded! Parking can be tough but it's worth it! Be patient and kind, people here are so it's nice to escape the fast pace of the highways and embrace this zenful market They have everything, coffee, fresh produce, food trucks etc. Tons of great vendors and allot of Local First Arizona's amazing group of business owners creating jobs, creating local goods, embracing sustainability and selling with a mission! Kids love it - you can't find this kind of goodness in a big box store.
Dave S — Google review
Had a great time at the market. Love their new location. Has plenty of space and room to expand. Will definitely come back again. Loved the vendors.
Nick V — Google review
I just love starting my Saturday mornings with a visit to the Farmers Market. You never know what you will see! Go and show your support for local small businesses.
BJ T — Google review
Hands down my favorite place in Arizona! The produce is fresh and reasonably priced. The selections for food items throughout is fantastic. The food trucks are great ( just wish the lines were shorter). Very clean and well organized.
Kellyjo Y — Google review
I absolutely love this farmers market. I loved them before when they were in downtown Gilbert and I love them just as much (if not more) now that they are at the Chandler-Gilbert Community College. They are much bigger now (over 150+ vendors) with a bigger food truck section, a section for children to play, and much more room to walk around and hang out. While I understand some people are upset over the COLLEGE no dog policy, what I don't understand is those who are so disgruntled over this that they refuse to come to this market anymore. The COLLEGE has a no dog policy, not the farmers market. And honestly, the people who are that upset over this seem to have no regard for those with dog allergies even being next to them outdoors (me included). There are other public places people can take their dogs to mingle with other dogs like dog parks or establishments that have patio policies for dogs. The presence of dogs didn't stop me from going to the old market location even with my allergies that would flare up. So it really shouldn't stop people who have dogs from coming. I mean, you have to leave your dog home (unless it is a service dog, with some exceptions for emotional support animals) in many other business establishments so this shouldn't make or break someone's farmers market experience.
Vanessa J — Google review
I love this farmers market. It has so many local crafts items fresh produce fresh meat fresh seafood. I mean it’s just amazing. They’re truly is something for everyone! And there’s also food trucks. How could you go wrong?
Robin D — Google review
New location has ruined the experience. No dogs allowed. No shade. No plants and you're surrounded by desert. Even when it's 73 degrees out, it feels so hot. We won't come back and will start going to another city's farmers market because this one just sucks now

This playground is super clean and perfect for toddlers and up, with fun features like climbing poles and a big rock for older kids. It's fully shaded, has nearby bathrooms and parking, plus lots of walking trails around.
Mayra F — Google review
Very nice park, lots of birds. Two man-made lakes and a waterfall. There's fishing allowed. I also have a basketball court and volleyball. Also playgrounds .Very nice park to walk around.
MBM R — Google review
I observed a large, fat rat on the toddler playground, specifically nestled in the corner of the small, fake rock mountain. The rat was right next to the soft mulch play surface where toddlers sit and play. Rats pose a severe health risk to young children, as they can transmit diseases through their droppings and urine, which will contaminate the mulch. Immediate action is needed to clear this rodent issue. Parents should be aware of this until the park confirms the area has been professionally cleaned and treated. The safety of our children must be the top priority
IMME M — Google review
We love this park. It’s family friendly, safe, and a great place to just hang out. It’s also a great place to watch birds.
Sam H — Google review
A Beautiful and expansive park in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert. A great for strolling leisurely or running.
Maria P — Google review
Nice park with ducks. There's a volleyball court, basketball court, play ground, and fishing pool. It's pretty big and nice pavement around the park. It would be a good place to have a picnic and they also have a pavilion area with lots of seats. A great place for a nice walk. It's close to Costco and other shopping centers. There are plenty of parking spots.
Y K — Google review
One of the nicest parks I've been to in Greater Phoenix! I've lived in the Phoenix region for over 7 years and, between all the sports that my kids play, I've been to more parks than I'm able to count - and this morning I visited Discovery District Park for a rugby game. Aside from the variety of things in this park (lakes with fishing, small hills for bikes, fields, walking paths, picnic areas, beach volleyball and basketball courts, intertwined with walking paths) this park was a great place, with lots of friendly community members, to visit. As in its easy access location, and the close shipping district with lots of quick food options for hungry athletes, and this is one of the best parks I've been to in the region.

Good place for day picnic. Lots of options for kids to play and enjoy like a mini theme park. Loved the zipper line and the water games. They have good number of picnic tables and parking slots. Worth visiting the place with kids

This place has tons of fun stuff for kids of all ages. There’s a mini zip line, splash pad, slides, climbing walls, bike and walking trails even spots to fish. It’s perfect for a family day out, and they even have solar benches to charge your phone!
Martha F — Google review
My son and I absolutely love this park. We went for 4th of July and had a blast. The only issue I had was that it took me over 2 hours to leave the parking lot. The parking attendants did nothing but stand around and watch hundreds of people in their cars trying to leave the parking lot- cutting in line, honking, yelling. It was honestly terrifying, I’ve never experienced anything like that in my entire life.
Ashley — Google review
Gilbert Regional Park is an absolute gem for pickleball players! I recently visited and was incredibly impressed. The facilities are truly amazing—the courts are well-maintained, plentiful, and a pleasure to play on. Beyond the fantastic courts, the atmosphere created by the people here is wonderful; everyone I encountered was friendly and inviting, making for a great, welcoming experience. The park itself is beautiful and clearly well-managed. Knocking off just one star because, like any popular place, it can get busy, but overall, it's a top-notch destination for a fun game of pickleball! Highly recommend!
Barry S — Google review
We always have the best time here. Please make sure u don't let ur lils run...I know it's a DUH.. but sometimes u get excited and wanna run and play with the lils . Just don't . I fell so hard and hurt my knees really bad but it's my own fault for RUNNING . We are all taught as small children don't run by the pool or in a area that's wet . I didn't listen to my own self. Life happens just don't want any little kids to hurt themselves or a parent get hurt so bad they can't walk. I almost cried but was more embarrassed then anything else. The bathrooms and sinks are always so clean compared to other parks. The rocket the kids climb in is really cool but sometimes has dog poop in it. Idky but we have been there a few times n it's happened so beware. Sometimes people can be a little rude but stand ur ground and eventually they go away. I've only had 1 incident here with a racist women. Until she seen my niece then she shut up. Doesn't stop us from going back tho... Have fun!!
Melinda V — Google review
This is a great place to bring your dog for a walk, play pickleball, volleyball, or to bring your kids to the park. Park. Very welcoming atmosphere and so much activity for family, friends, small groups or even large groups. Also a great place to take pictures by the water. I wish they would expand this place more as they once intended to years ago for a water park. Would be great if they had some local dining or nightlife at Park.
Elizabeth G — Google review
Beautiful walk around the lake. We went there to check out some birds and found a ton of grackles, coots, and cowbirds. And a green/pocket heron too!

Water Tower Plaza is a charming community park located in the heart of Gilberts Heritage District, making it a vibrant hub for both locals and visitors. Established in 2008, this compact 0.7-acre space features delightful attractions such as a splash pad that offers kids an exciting way to cool off during those warm Arizona days. The iconic Gilbert Water Tower looms above, serving as a picturesque backdrop for family outings.
family friendly place to relax and enjoy all Gilbert has to offer. under the water tower there are plenty of chairs to sit and relax, I like to come and read during the week. the newly renovated water pad is a great place to cool off. fun for all ages. there are plenty of tables and chairs to have your lunch, play a competitive game of chess or gather with friends and family. there is a large grassy area for children to play ,have a picnic with friends or play with your furry friends (remember to pick up after your furry friends ) At night the plaza lights up, whether you are coming out of the theater and want to talk about the play you saw at the Hale Centre theater or just want to let your meal digest from one of the many restaurants on Gilbert rd. Gilbert water tower plaza is the place for you.

There’s a ton of fun and excitement happening under the Gilbert Water Tower! You’ll find great restaurants, live music, theater shows, and some awesome nightlife. The whole area really comes alive at night with an energetic vibe.
Lillie J — Google review
A cool oasis in Downtown Gilbert. Home of the Gilbert Water Tower, this small park has a grassy hill, water play area and plenty of seating. A great space to visit in the mornings & evenings for great views of the sunrise & sunset. This is a good place for portrait photography, too. (Updated): the town recently completed an upgrade to the Water Tower Plaza. This includes a renovated splash pad, new public restrooms, and a newer grassy area. The splash pad also has seating and a shade canopy. All of this ups the family friendly space with more room for playtime ..and lots more ways to get soaked. Gilbert Water Tower Plaza continues to be a great place to relax, cool off, and see free shows. If you are in the area stop by

Nice place for big and small kids to cool down on those hot summer days! 🔥
N G — Google review
Gilbert officials have done a great job making this part of old town a destination. There's so much around the Water Tower Plaza including numerous great restaurants, the Hale Theater Performing Arts Center, small eateries, coffee shops, BBQ, and more. Just across the street from this "pocket park" is a bank of public restrooms with hand washing stations adjacent. Smart. Convenient. The old pump house can be easily overlooked. It's just feet from the old water tower. A nice spot to visit any time of day.

SanTan Village is a sprawling open-air shopping destination that spans an impressive 1.2 million square feet in the vibrant downtown Gilbert area. Since its completion in 2007, it has become a hub for both retail and dining, featuring popular stores like Sephora, Macy's, Nordstrom Rack, and Lululemon. This lively venue not only offers an extensive selection of shops but also boasts some of the best eateries in town.
San Tan Mall is a great mall! I love that it is an outside mall and that I can just drive my car up to the stores that I am interested in visiting on that day. The property is always in such great condition, clean and pleasant during the summer with the misting system going. I highly recommend it
Michelle S — Google review
If shopping centers are your thing, this place is probably your Disneyland. Outdoor mall, lots of solid places to eat, tons of stores to burn your wallet in, and a great spot to wander around and accidentally hit your step goal for the day. They even throw events in the main street area every so often which is a nice touch and makes it feel a little more alive than your average retail strip. Now, why 4 stars? Because it’s always packed. Like, "did everyone in the city decide to show up at the same time" packed. That might be your vibe, just not really mine. I get it, it’s a shopping center, it’s supposed to be busy, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy dodging strollers and getting hit with perfume samples while looking for a place to eat. Nothing wrong with it, honestly. It does what it’s meant to do and does it well. If you like shopping and eating out, it’s a 5 all day. For me? Good spot, just not where I’d choose to hang unless I need something or get dragged into a brunch outing.
Mike M — Google review
The Apple Store is located in a very convenient place at San Tan Village. With a large parking area on the east side of mall you can park and walk easily to store. Very helpful and courteous people are assisting others like me.
Robin O — Google review
Great service and an exceptional meal. I had the chicken southwest salad. The veggies tasted fresh and crispy. The chicken was nicely seasoned. I also had the shorty onion rings scan appetizer. They were fantastic. The ranch sauce was great. I did try the red sauce, forgot that it was called, I didn't care much for that one. My guest had the Red Robin Cheeseburger. The burger was cooked to his specifications, a good temperature, and flavorful.
Bev M — Google review
This is a complete shopping and dinning experience location with multiple choices. You have many brands including Chanel, Sephora, stores like Dicks, and eateries here. Also kids friendly with many options to keep kids entertained. Only drawback is tht it's all under the sun and in high heat days its impossible to explore the place
Arti K — Google review
Great place to shop til you drop then wind down the day with great happy hour specials or watch movie and grab a bite inside Harkins. It can be great experience most year round but be prepared for unseasonably hot weather in warmer months.
Jason H — Google review
Such a nice mall with so much potential but now that Banana Republic closed, the only spots to shop for nicer men’s clothing is Dillard’s or Macy’s. Unless you’re in high school and prefer Buckle or Hollister, there’s almost nothing for men here compared to other malls in the Phoenix Metro. 😔

Nestled in the heart of Gilbert, Cosmo Dog Park is a delightful retreat for dog lovers and their furry companions. Spanning 2.5 acres, this unique park offers designated off-leash areas where dogs can frolic freely, making it an ideal spot for socializing and playdates. With separate sections for large and small breeds, every pup can enjoy their time without any worries.
One dog run area is open during construction. The beach is closed, the lake drained. There is still green grass and shade 6pm and later in sweltering June. If you have a dog that likes rolling in cool grass, then there is still something to be had here. June, 2025
Matt M — Google review
Would’ve given it five stars, but I’m not sure about the water quality in the pond. It’s reclaimed water, and is a very weird color. But it was a hot day, and my dog didn’t care. Luckily after we finished, and lady told us there was a fresh water rinsing spot for my dog. I was grateful for it. Be prepared to get some degree of wet yourself if you go in the pond area. Dogs are romping around, playing, and shaking off water, and some will get on you. That’s not entirely bad in a hot day. There is a large area next to the pond area that has a couple obstacles for the dogs too.

What an amazing dog park! All enclosed but separated big and small areas, hangout area, and swimming area! Overall the best place in the area to take your dog! Only wish it had more parking.

Most of the part was blocked off by fences. Only the large and small areas were open. Nothing was open around the beach area. Area is well maintained, and it looked like most people poop scoop.

Love this park has plenty of different options depending on the day and what the other dogs are feeling lots of friendly people free dog bags and pooper scoopers a small dog area and multiple big dog areas including a fenced in beach park with a lake that lets your dog walk in the water making this very comfortable for any dog that has not been swimming before giving them the opportunity to walk right into the water they have a spot where dogs can long jump into the water off the side unfortunately it was still closed for some reason when is went a few days ago I’m hoping it will be open soon but to be honest it didn’t stop my too boys They made there way regardless of the gate being locked great facility…

After being referred here by some new friends I made at another dog park, I brought my girl here last weekend to play in the water and WOW. What a beautiful little water park it is! My girl loves playing in water but has never gotten to actually swim before and she had the time of her life. There's a big sandy area that leads right up into the water and gets deeper the further you go so it's literally like a small beach for dogs.. how cool is that?! I've never seen anything like it before! The water looks clean and it's surrounded by several large grassy areas for them to run around in, as well as several rinse off areas where you can hose your dog down to get all the sand & dirt off them. I'd recommend bringing a couple towels too! The whole park looks very clean and well-kept and overall I was very impressed! It's an awesome place to bring your dog for exercise and socializing and I definitely recommend checking it out, especially if your fur baby enjoys water activities. My ONLY complaint is the grassy areas need more seating and either more trees or a ramada for shade, because one grassy area only had a few benches and small trees and the rest has none. Other than that, the Cosmo Dog Park gets a thumbs up from me! We'll be back again very soon!

I’m from Wisconsin. I lived in Gilbert Arizona for a few years and then returned to Wisconsin. I’m on vacation and took my dog to Cosmo dog park this morning. I was so excited because Gilbert is such a classy community that I had high expectations for this dog park. I understand that construction is being done, but that’s not the issue. I was really disgusted by how much dog poop was at this park. Every 2 feet there was another mound of dog poop that I tried to avoid stepping in. People don’t seem to pay attention to their dogs at this park. My dog did not seem to enjoy the park either. It felt very dirty and unkept. I will not be returning with my dog. I will find a cleaner and better maintained dog park to visit. I do not recommend.

Nestled in the heart of Gilbert, Mother Nature's Farm is a delightful escape that comes alive from September to December. Originally a Christmas tree farm, this charming spot has transformed into a vibrant pumpkin patch and sunflower field, perfect for family outings or romantic getaways. Visitors can enjoy scenic hayrides while exploring the rustic beauty of the farm and interacting with an array of friendly animals, including pigs, goats, donkeys, and even turtles!
Mother Nature’s Farm has so much to offer! We took our kids to visit the pumpkin patch and animals on a Friday and had such a blast! There are many things to do to keep the little ones entertained and lots of rest areas for when you need a break. We enjoyed feeding the animals, racing the pedal go-karts, the corn pits (those were new this year!), and the bouncy houses. You get a free pumpkin from the patch inside the farm with each paid entry ticket. Highly recommend this farm for fall festivities. This is our 3rd year visiting and we will continue to come back every year! Also I very much recommend getting there right when the farm opens at 9am so it’s not too hot by the time you leave.

The people that work here are so incredibly sweet and helpful. The farm is beautiful and my son loved feeding all the animals. Definitely recommend! I learned to avoid atm charges bring cash. The inside of the farm is cash only. Another thing is to bring quarters. They have 25 cent feeders at the quack shack.

We had so much fun! We went during rain-mageddon (Oct 13th, 2025), but still had fun! Their maine haybail maze was flooded, but there was another my daughter got to go in. We didn't try the slides (sounded too wet?) and couldn't find other things like the human hamsterwheel, etc. But, we tried the pedal cars (even in the mud), the hay ride, pet the animals, got facepaint, and played in the corn pit! It was all very fun! While the price feels a little steep, everything (besides snacks, bigger pumpkins, and animal food) is included and we had a great time, even in the thunderstorm! Workers were all very nice, and I can definitely see making this a yearly tradition! Thanks to everyone who made the magic still happen!

My family and I’ve been going to Mother Nature ‘s farm for about 10 years now. The anticipation of the season and going to “the Farm” has always been exciting for us. Leisurely spending the day at Mother Nature’s Farm feeding the animals, Talking the kids into going down the huge slide, taking hayride to see the beautiful sanctuary that it has become Is Immeasurable.. Moments that have made our memories ! There are so many activities for children and adults. And …..you get one pumpkin per entry fee Perfect size for the kids, What else could you ask for? We are thankful for the Kelsall family for Giving us, a little slice of Heaven

My husband and I have been going to Mother Nature’s Farm for a few years and we love it! It’s accessible and family friendly, there’s always parking and the pumpkins are not expensive. Everyone is nice and smiling! We love it!

We have been going for 8 years now, every October. But this year was highly disappointing.. usually there is a large amount of pumpkins and it’s so awesome to see all the pumpkins laid out to choose.. but there was hardly any to choose from.. and the ones left were definitely the gross ones. So my kids didn’t even get to get a pumpkin. The staff was not friendly or welcoming.. lady at the side gate.. had friends she was more interested in talking to than us, just took our money and ignored us. kids working the slides were cussing loudly enough for my kids to hear. a cow was in distress and we told someone, and later on during the night the teenage worker was sitting on the cow! The price increase is no longer worth it. It used to be 10$ and every kid got cute stickers to decorate their pumpkins. Now they get a terrible experience and no pumpkin. Sad to say since we have brought my daughter here every year since she was a baby that we will no longer return. There are nearby farms for the same price with more to do for same prices.

Great variety of fun for all generations, including our family of 17, aged 1-73. Animals, mazes, slides. Adequate places to sit in the shade, take pictures for the fam. No disappointment! The highlight by far for our family: Best hayride ever with Farmer Marshall. He made it fun for all of us. Our only regret - we didn't get a picture with him.
PKD — Google review
This was a waste of money. Happy to hear its a sanctuary and all that they do and we love supporting families and farms but that wasn't worth our time or money. Our toddler cost as much as an adult and she couldn't do the slide or much to herself. The majority of the pedal cars were broken so we couldn't try that. They sell carrots to feed the animals but the animals have ate so many that they are refusing them now but the staff continues to sell them and doesn't tell you so that's a waste of money. The corn is mildew and nasty for the kids to play in. The hay ride is pretty disappointing as well. We were really looking forward to it and we're disappointed in the experience.

Nature & Parks
Veterans Oasis Park is a sprawling 113-acre outdoor recreation area in Chandler, offering a variety of activities for visitors. The park features scenic trails suitable for horseback riding, biking, and leisurely walks. It's also an ideal spot for birdwatching and picnicking. The park boasts diverse Sonoran Desert plants and houses the Chandler Environmental Education Center. Additionally, there's a 5-acre lake stocked with various fish species, making it perfect for fishing enthusiasts.
One of my favorite places to wander. 118 acres of ponds, desert trails, abundant native plants and animals. Each time I go it's a new experience. It also has a community lake for fishing, picnic areas, and a nature center that continually hosts events. And dog friendly. So much for my pups to explore! Worth going!

What a beautiful park! Came here for a jazz concert in the evening and decided to come earlier to check out the Nature Center, walk around the lake and go a little off trail to the man made running creek. So fun that my granddaughter wanted to walk around 3 times. A lot of people came to fish. Springtime the cactus blooms were so pretty.
Judy R — Google review
When reviewing this park, I have to compare it to Riparian Preserve, and in comparison, this is the lesser of the two. Although these places are meant to be natural, that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have some structure and a certain cleanliness appeal. It’s fine if you’re in the area and it’s what’s nearby, but I don’t think it’s worth making a special trip to see it. That said, everything is worth visiting at least once. Saluti

I enjoyed this park. There is a small waterfall and lots of different creatures. Birds, lizards, fish, squirrels, gophers, and a cat. The nature center was also filled with interesting displays and pamphlets about Maricopa parks and desert landscaping.

This is a beautiful park, with trails, a pond, monuments to veterans, and lots of wildlife that can be seen (birds and rabbits mainly). Just want to point out a few things to dog owners, as I often go with my german shepherd. The water is not swimable, for dogs or people. Theres lots of rabbits and it is always packed, so if your dog is reactive, you're going to have a rough walk. This is more of a scenic park for strolling.

Located at the intersection of Greenfield and Guadalupe Road, right next to the Riparian Preserve at the Water Ranch, Southeast Regional Library is a spacious and modern facility offering an extensive collection of over 170,700 reading materials in various formats. Visitors can enjoy comfortable seating by lakeside windows while indulging in their favorite reads. The library also provides high-tech amenities such as internet access, word processing computers, and age-inclusive programming.
Another Gilbert gem is the Southeast Regional Library. Located next to the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, it is well laid out with plenty of books, dvds, cds, blue rays, and a wide variety of other features. Plenty for children and grown-ups to enjoy.

Great place to get work done. They offer very large tables along the whole Lakeside window wall with a great view of the lake. Usually pretty quiet in here and the staff is very helpful.

My children and I enjoy visiting this library on a monthly basis. The staff is kind and willing to help. Only “complaint” is that election field workers usually hang out front to collect signatures however it doesn’t deter us from visiting.
LeAna — Google review
the nature preserve outside and the library itself is beautiful. the value of “we accept/welcome all” is absolutely amazing, and I am not against that at all. i believe children have just as much of a right to be here as anyone else, and I genuinely don’t mind a shout every now and then, as kids will do that. However, the shouting is not “every now and then.” it is constant and library staff do not say anything to the parents so it goes on for hours. there are also grown adults speaking at full volume, watching videos, etc. there is zero library etiquette here. its not a suitable environment to get any kind of work done or even read. the purpose of libraries is to rent books and read. thats WHY library etiquette exists. but this place really does feel like more of a entertainment center.
Cat H — Google review
The Southeast Regional Library was remodeled from the old Gilbert Town Hall, which explains its wide hallways and high ceilings. The library offers a wide variety of books, and the spaces for adults and children are separated, making it easy to focus. The children’s area, in particular, is decorated so charmingly that it feels like stepping into a storybook. All the staff members were very kind, and I had an enjoyable experience using the library. I would love to visit again in the future.

This is on the walk to the library which is also very pretty one of my favorite places to go. Can spend a whole day there just marveling creation which is nice is pretty is good. Pack a picnic and bring a book. There are a wide variety of birds and ducks and if you walk a little ways toward or past the canals you will run into a little petting zoo farm type place. The sweet man dresses up like Santa as well at Christmas time.

Me and my daughters favorite library, we love going after school and can spend hours in there. Huge selection, lots of different spaces, and a nice view too! So glad this library is around 📖

Great library that's quite new looking even though I think it's been around for awhile. It's well designed and organized, brightly lit, clean, and has a great children's section with so many books. There's a Friends of the library bookstore at the entrance lobby, and 2 clean (but smelly the day we visited) bathrooms. My kids say this one also has many more books they like here than at Queen Creek library even though that one is quite big too. It can get pretty loud here as there's a lot of little ones, from babies to toddlers. But that's too be expected in the children's area. Overall, this is an excellent library with so many books and other resources.

Altitude Trampoline Park in Gilbert offers an exciting indoor experience to beat the scorching desert heat. With a signed waiver and Altitude grip socks, visitors can enjoy various sections within the vast facility. They can choose between the main court or kids court based on their age and size, as well as explore a foam pit, performance trampolines, and a gymnastic tumble track to fulfill their Olympic aspirations.
It was my first time visiting with members, and the check-in process was smooth, from socks to setup. We found a table near the jump zone, got everything organized, and let the kids loose while I joined in for a bit. They wore me out quickly, but it was a fun experience with various zones, play areas, and party rooms.

My family had a blast! My 33 year old boyfriend and I jumped along with his daughter. Although it seemed to be more geared towards kids, obviously, we still enjoyed ourselves. The place was very clean and there were staff walking around keeping kids safe and making sure the rules were being followed. We will definitely be back!

Great Birthday Party Experience! We recently attended a birthday party at Altitude Trampoline Park and had a great time! We were greeted right away, and the gentleman at the front desk got us checked in quickly and guided us to the right party room—which I really appreciated since it was our first time there. I loved how open the layout is—you can see almost the entire space, which is so helpful when you're keeping an eye on more than one child. There was always a staff member nearby, which gave me peace of mind. The party host was amazing! My son asked for a specific cupcake topper, and she went out of her way to make sure he got the character he wanted—even though she didn’t have to. She also made sure all the kids were served before the adults, which I thought was really thoughtful. Overall, it was a smooth, fun, and well-organized experience!

I have to say I love bringing my grandkids here. I was disappointed when we can for the Junior Jump today and after arriving there was a whole bus load of teenagers that arrived. 😐 We made the best of it but I will be calling in the future to make sure there are no plans of having a bus of teenagers to arrive during the Junior Jump!!!

Altitude was so fun for me and my children. I first went my husband and two kids. But today I went for a birthday party (me and my two kids). The birthday party was fun! 2 hours was perfect. My children had a blast, and the staff was so nice and attentive. My son was having a blast, so I could not keep up with him. And you know what? I felt safe letting my five year old do his own thing. He was safe

Parents, beware. My 8 year old daughter was in the dodgeball area when a boy intentionally pulled his pants down(boxers still on). I saw it myself, and even the manager Daniel admitted it was on purpose after reviewing the video. But the owner told him to say otherwise and refused to take action. The truth is on video, and yet they chose to protect themselves and the other family instead of taking my child’s safety seriously. This place clearly cares more about money than doing the right thing for kids. Parents, be warned, if something like this happens to your child, don’t expect Altitude to handle it responsibly.
Priscilla R — Google review
We've been coming here for years but stopped because it seemed a bit run down. We decided to revisit again, and to our surprise, it's been upgraded! Finally, they have additional seating! They also added small arcade and upgraded jumping areas. We try to visit at the opening to avoid crowds. I recommend filling out the waiver online before coming to save time.

Love this place! Spacious and has a section for smaller children. Has walkways tall enough for adults to get in and out with kids. Everything is clean and I’ve never had problems with safety issues. Love taking my children here to burn some energy off !

We love Kid’s Empire! When my littles are in town they always want to come and play. I can get work done while they run off all their energy. They have a good variety of snacks and are reasonably priced. The best part is you can leave and come back any time, all day long.
Marisa M — Google review
It is a great indoor place for kids. You pay$25 / kid and can basically stay all day. The only drawback is they dint really offer food. They have a couple things but if you have food sensitive kids, this is inconvenient. I brought in some goldfish and let my grandchildren snack a little on it and then put it away, but the worker saw it once and told me I had to put it away and then walked by every few minutes to see if I had food out. Like really, this is what you are concerned with the whole day. Why not worry about how clean it is or anything else. We have come here multiple times and have never had an issue until today. Then she saw it at the end of the day and told me she was gonna kick me out if she saw it again. Really!! I understand their rules and i am not trying to break them, but offer more things, but just junk.
N K — Google review
My daughter and I went down the pink slide and got really bad friction burn. She got it on her arm, it was bare skin and then on her upper leg, it went through her shorts. My shorts and underwear both got torn and melted and I was left with a very large friction burn on my butt. I called and spoke with the manager to inform them it was a safety hazard and she said that slide hadn’t been waxed in a few days. So proceed with caution. One front desk girl was rude, and the other was very kind and helpful. Aside from those 2 things, it was great. Seemed clean and the kids had a lot of fun!
Crystal R — Google review
My son is almost 4 and he was going all the way up and down the slides all by himself. I honestly had so much fun chasing him around and going down the slides and I am a grown woman. We love this place, the snacks are also super reasonably priced. We had so much fun and will return soon.

This place is AMAZING! Very affordable and perfect for families. There’s truly something for everyone — whether you just want to sit and relax or actually jump in and play with your kids. The setup has a great mix: jungle gyms, huge slides, and a ball pit that kept my kids entertained for hours. What really stood out was how much fun it was for parents, too. I ended up running around and breaking a sweat right alongside my kids — it felt like I was a kid again myself. And the indoor soccer area? That was hands down the best part! If you’re looking for a safe, clean, and fun place to make memories with your kids, Kids Empire delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

Nathan was incredibly helpful today! Also, this place is my daughters absolute favorite place to go and asks me to take her constantly. We love how the place has evolved over the years and offers so much fun to my 5 year old! We've been taking her here since 2022 when she was just two years old and even back then, it was such a great place to take a toddler! Now she's old enough to play in the big kids section, which is fun for all ages! Already cannot wait to be back!: thank you to kids empire for tiring out my kiddo and giving us a nice air conditioned play ground to let out some energy!!

The 9/11 Memorial in Gilbert is a poignant tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. It features a steel beam from the World Trade Center's North Tower, generously given by the New York Port Authority. Located near Arizona State Capitol in Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, this memorial serves as a tangible reminder of that fateful day and honors those who lost their lives.
A beautiful, sobering reminder of American History. A must see for kids and teens who read about 9/11 in school. This exhibit has a beam from the twin towers, that is set up so it can be touched by observers of all ages.

If you're looking for a fantastic day of fun, look no further than Golfland Sunsplash! This vibrant entertainment complex combines the best of both worlds with its thrilling amusement park and refreshing water park. Open year-round, Golfland offers exciting activities like go-kart racing, mini-golf, arcade games, and bumper boats on a scenic lake.
Last weekend, we had an absolute blast meeting up with friends and family for a night of mini golf! As soon as we approached the entrance, we were greeted by the sight of a massive castle adorned with vibrant neon lights. It set the perfect mood for an evening filled with fun and laughter. The air was electric with the sounds of arcade games all around us, including some of the beloved classics that sparked happy nostalgia for many in our group. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we made our way to the back to grab our golf clubs. There was a sense of excitement in the air as we prepared for our adventure on the course. We opted for the full 18 holes since we had a large crew, and honestly, I can’t think of a better way to bond and challenge each other than some friendly competition. As we stepped onto the course, I noticed it was in great shape! Some reviews had mentioned issues, but we found everything to be tidy and well-maintained, aside from a few stray leaves, which was perfectly understandable given the season. Each hole presented unique obstacles and creative designs that kept us on our toes and added a fun twist to the game. From tricky slopes to whimsical decorations, every play was a new adventure and a chance for a laugh. The excitement was palpable as we all took turns, cheering each other on and playfully teasing those who missed easy putts! At one point, we even had a spontaneous dance-off between holes. I’m pretty sure the other players must have thought we were a bit wild, but who could blame us? The energy was infectious! Overall, it was an evening filled with joy, laughter, and maybe a few friendly rivalries. As the final scores were tallied, we were already making plans to come back for another round. If you’re looking for an entertaining night out with friends or family, this mini golf spot is a winner. We had such a fantastic time, and I can’t wait for our next adventure there!

My kids had fun and the lines for rides and slides were short and quick but entry was little pricey and it seemed that parents drop off their kids here because there were far too few adults around for my comfort (though maybe that's a good thing for some). Very busy but expected with the heat. Always have so much fun here. Food concessions were not good. The wait was forever literally so Just an FYI eat before going. Other than food concessions it was a blast.

Had a great time playing a round of mini golf. Halloween decorations throughout the courses was added fun at regular charge.

This place waa fun we played lazer tag and raced cars and played some gold it was a great place to enjoy! The place was nice and clean and staff was great the young lady in golf center very helpful thank you!! Lazer tag assistant was great!!

My 5 year old has a blast. They are adding new attractions which is great. Loses a star for a poor layout for slides and a lack luster wave pool.
Michael C — Google review
We played the mini golf and had so much fun. The Halloween decor was amazing. Only downside was lack of shade spots and our ball got stuck in the 16 hole.
Casey W — Google review
We did the night splash, it was lots of fun kids really liked the big slides I wasn't able to get pictures of the slides. The lazy river was nice and the wave pool was fun. They have a really cool spot for younger kids that had water activities and slides. Also the snack bar was good a fairly priced.

If you're looking for a refreshing escape from the desert heat, look no further than the Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center. This vibrant public facility, conveniently located next to Basha High School, is a true aquatic paradise that caters to all ages. With its impressive array of attractions including an Olympic-sized competition pool and a lazy river complete with a picturesque waterfall, there's no shortage of fun here.
If you're in the area or not! Worth a buck! My kids land I loved it! Friendly lifeguards and Great for all ages!! Snack shack available! I love how you can take your own snacks and small ice chest and chairs or pop up tent / and or umbrella for some shade! Check out the website for details. A bonus for me was they also have life jackets in case you forget to bring one for the kids free of charge to use for the day! Sometimes there can be a wait during busy hours which we didn't mind! Because.it was worth it! Another thing I didn't know is you can reserve an area for a birthday also. I saw someone with tablecloths and balloons which was cute too!! Just saying! Budget friendly and something for everyone of all ages!! Fun fun fun! 😊😄

My two younger children (ages 7 and 5) had an amazing time at Mesquite Grove Pool! They loved splashing around in the interactive water structure and swirling in the small whirlpool. My 7-year-old daughter especially enjoyed switching between both slides, which kept her entertained. The pool offered a great mix of fun and safe activities for young kids.
LeAna — Google review
Great facility for families especially with young children. The entry fee is ridiculously low. We had a blast, and the kids really did not want to leave. We will be back many times so I’m sure.

I love love love this place!! I've taken my son herw about 4 times. My best advice is to get here half an hour before it opens because the line does get very long. I prefer to come during the weekday when it's not as busy. It's very clean, the staff is great and you can't beat the prices. I'm from New York and I still can't believe how affordable it is. Plus, you can bring your own food and drinks
Crystal M — Google review
Get there at opening time! We arrived 3 minutes before the pool opened at 12 PM and were able to grab a shaded spot. On Sunday, our whole family only paid $1 in total — it was so cheap that we thought there might have been a mistake when we paid. The lifeguards were attentive, and the pool was well-maintained. If you want a shaded area, I recommend arriving early. Some people also brought their own shade tents. Bringing a cooler with cold drinks and snacks is a great idea, too. The water slides and lazy river were a big hit with the kids!

We love MGA!! My kids have been taking swimming lessons for over 10+ years now. Their facilities are great, clean, and very accessible. Their staff is amazing and well trained. Their lap pool is so clean!! 👏🏼 I've recently used other public Chandler pools and sadly they are not as clean as MGA. The lazy river is so much fun! And my kids love their big water slides. Awesome public pool!!
Dre H — Google review
A small water park, but with a couple of nice water slides and a lazy river, it kept our kids entertained for a few hours - for almost nothing (2.25$ per adult, 1$ per kid). A nice way to spend a day.
Nitsan A — Google review
Cool water park! Great for littles 3-13. But I'm sure other ages would have a good time as well. Little kid slides and slightly bigger kid slides. Lazy river and a cool little whirlpool. I have a pool at home, but I think my kiddos will be asking to come back here.

The Vision Gallery is a nonprofit art space located in Downtown Chandler, supported by the Chandler Cultural Foundation. It features an ever-changing collection of works from local and regional artists across various mediums. The gallery's proceeds contribute to free art classes in the community. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful open space with abundant natural light that illuminates the artwork on display. Additionally, there is a shop inside offering gifts from local artisans.
A good place for children to have activities. Although the space is not big, it is very comfortable and clean👍

Such a great place with their activities for kids, register early. Chandler offers a great service for the community and a nice little gallery to highlight local artists and introduce art to lots of ages. Stop on by. Maximalism is on destillat for just a little longer, more is more!
Jeff M — Google review
I visited the Vision Gallery in downtown Chandler and found a truly special art-destination. The gallery space is bright and modern, and the rotating exhibitions showcase an impressive range of media, from paintings and sculpture to photography and textiles. I really appreciated the small gift section too, featuring artist-made jewelry and home goods. The staff were welcoming and gave helpful context about the current show. If you’re looking to explore local art or pick up something unique, this gallery is a standout.

Accessible art is so important to a community and that’s exactly what the Vision Gallery provides! Truly love this small but mighty art gallery tucked inside the city hall building in downtown Chandler. The exhibit I had a chance to see was very powerful and moving and I also noticed while I was visiting there was an art class for children going on - how cool! There’s a great little shop inside to buy gifts for yourself or others from local artisans. Highly recommend stopping in! (No admission fee either)
Rachel E — Google review
Small but very nice gallery. They even have an Art Vending Machine. Right in the middle of Chandler.
Dawn D — Google review
Great place to see local artist and events are in a beautiful location.
Benjamin K — Google review
This place is beautiful 🤩 We came for a take and make art event & it was so pretty and organized. All the materials were provided and it was free! Our 4 yo son did great just working his own plan but it is super kid friendly.
Cb2 — Google review
As an art gallery this place is fine. Its nice to have a little culture in downtown chandler. The gallery is aesthetically pleasing and well maintained. There have been a few really interesting exhibits here. I would love to see if they could get some smaller more mainstream exhibits here. Particularly Mayan, Aztec, and Egyptian exhibits. I'd be there in a heartbeat, and have no trouble getting many friends to accompany me.
