Pretty nice view, BUT the service was insanely terrible. A lady our server ignored us after she said that she would be right with us , 20mins laters not a check back 30 mins in the restaurant in the evening not even a drink on the table for us. This place is too busy just to have little servers. We were also told the food wait was 1hr which is kinda crazy. 2 stars.

Horrible service! We waited 25 minutes for someone to take our order and they did only because I asked twice. We waited another 35!!!! minutes for an Aperol Spritz. I asked a young guy and he rolled his eyes at me and didn’t even come to the table to hear me out. He was rolling his eyes and pointing at the main waitress. He has brown hair and a silver necklace. Disgusting.

Popped in to try the local Leipzig beer. Waiters kindly pointed out that it can be a bit sour so offered a taster before ordering. Seemed friendly and helpful service. Very happy to sit outside and watch the world go by.

We went inside - no friendly faces from the personel. We sat down and waited to order. No one looked at us and the place was not fully booked. I am ok with waiting not with “no interest”. All in all a very rude experience we left again without ordering.

Location, Location! It is in the heart of the city and always full! Hard to miss it! We sat upstairs, which is somehow cool but little bit too tight to be comfortable ,especially if you want to eat. It is very good decorated with a vivid atmosphere. The service is friendly but stressed, but of course we totally understand this cause it was FULL!!! But even so they were fast and efficient. Thumbs up for this!!! We were there for quite some time. The coffee isn't the best to be honest. Cocktails are good. Food was tasty and the prices also good! For sure we are coming back:-)

Firstly on Sunday night for drinks (reasonable price), great location by the market square overlook the opposite old town hall. Tuesday morning came here for breakfast (Egg Benedict on baguette, Salmon breakfast with salad & bread - all delicious) and on the square were a happening market with local sellers & citizens. A waiter/tress gets your order but some other sends it, I guess this system is opted cause there are many tables, so just wave to a waiter if you have not been served.

Was walking around looking for a late dinner bite after watching a concert at Gewandhaus Orchester. Thankful to spot this place - there were many people eating and chatting at the al fresco area. We ordered Spizz Special Burger €13.50 and Fruchtiges Hahnchencurry (fruity chicken curry) €13.90. Service was good and fast (the waiter who took our order and bill was pleasant, polite, responsive; another waiter who served our food was also pleasant and polite), food also came quite quickly in 10-15mins. Food was tasty and portions good, although the burger was only slightly warm instead of hot. Would have also liked if the chicken curry with basmati rice came piping hot. We chose to sit outside as we enjoy the cool natural air, and took our chances with other diners smoking.

Was visiting on vacation from the US and was served by Elaine, who is probably the best human in the world. She was extremely friendly, was happy to explain the large menu in English to me, and was very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were killer. I’m booking my flight back now just to come drink here for a week.

The food is excellent and the drinks are fantastic. I really enjoyed the video the host made about himself and his restaurant, it plays on a loop and adds a fun, personal touch. The waitstaff are generally very friendly and attentive. However, the biggest disappointment is that despite having plenty of outdoor seating, the restaurant doesn’t serve guests outside, even on a beautiful, sunny September day. That alone is enough reason for us not to return.

This was an experience! The Vodkaria bar is a bar that puts a specific focus on Vodka drinks and coctails. The selection is amazing and extremely broad, the menu is informative and funny, staff is friendly, atmosphere is unique and quality of service is awesome! It is sometimes hard to find unique bars with a character, this was one of them. Next time i visit Leipzig, this place will be a go-to place definitely. There is also food available but we were there just for some drinks so cannot comment on that.

On holiday in Leipzig from England with friends, stopped for a beer and ended up getting another 5 rounds and food. The place has a massive selection of vodkas and vodka cocktails, with Nordic and Russian food to complement. If you don't fancy that then the beer is pretty good too. Atmosphere was great the whole evening, the staff were all really friendly and made the night. Will definitely be back next time we're in the city

The meat in the Solijanka Soup was tough but the soup was tasty. We ordered Pelmeni with Tomato sauce and Wareniki with Dill cream. We got Wareniki with Sour cream and the tomoto sauce was so bad that it tasted like it was directly from a can (very watery, no salt, no herbs). I told the waitress that it is embarassing for a cook/restaurant to serve such a sauce and the cook should first taste the food before it goes out. We then got a new plate of Pelmeni with DILL cream. Besides the tomato sauce fiasco, the Pelmeni and Wareniki were delicious and the waitress very friendly.

What a great place, huge selection of Vodka. Food menu is interesting, I had the cabbage soup it was tasty, the steak was cooked with strawberries, nice presentation. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Great bar with lot of local people, great staff, great drinks, everything is good. Not a lot of people at the begining but the bar is full after 10/11pm. The entry is discrete and hidden so don't miss it! Thanks to Timmy's service, he is very nice and professionnal! I do recommend this cocktail bar!

We were on a companytrip and had an amazing time here during the first night in Leipzig. Cocktails were good, music was very good. We left with a 250€ bill, and we decided to go back there with more people than sunday on our last night. It clearly depends on who’s serving that night, because one of the two guys wasnt happy at all when we came in. Really did everything in its way to make it clear we were not welcome. When we decided to go for another round of cocktails - the bartender must have misheard what we said because he thought we asked to pay for 7 cocktails (even though we had 9, so i don’t know why he only accounted us for 7) but we really asked for 7 more. He refused to serve us so we had a bit of a discussion at the bar, and we decided to leave it before it got to heated. We -obviously- payed for the 2 cocktails we still had to pay for and left. We won’t come back here again - that bartender cost you a lot turnover that night because we were there with 10 people and a company expense card. Might have been your best tuesday night yet.

One of the best bars in the city !!! Great variety of Cocktails and other drinks ! The atmosphere is always positive, the waiters are very friendly and attentive. Also in the bar smoking is allowed! and music between the 80s and 2010 with video clips make the Bar UNIQUE in the city ! I LOVE It !

We were eager to try the cocktails at this place. As we descended the steps down to the underground local, we noticed a heavy, dense and unconfortable atmosphere. We were led to a table and quickly discovered the reason: several customers were heavlily smoking. I find this a no-go for a place which, appparently, takes pride in the taste of their creations.

The cocktails were excellent. People are allowed to smoke inside, so beware of the smoke if you have breathing issues.

They speak English and the drinks are very good, quiet place, music is a bit loud so you can't talk.

Great music, solid vibes – worth a visit! Had a fun night at Elsterartig! The DJ was 🔥 the music kept the energy high all night, and the transitions were smooth. If you're into dancing, this place delivers. The crowd was a nice mix, and the dance floor really came alive as the night went on. It's definitely one of the better spots in Leipzig for electronic and house beats. The club isn't massive, but it has character. Lighting and sound were on point you can tell they care about creating a good atmosphere. Only downside: the bar can be slow when it's packed, and it does get crowded fast. But if you're coming for the music and dancing, you’ll probably enjoy it as much as I did. Would go again especially for the DJ sets. Just come ready to dance.

Shortly after I entered, an employee came to me and forced me to take off my jacket and give it to the cloakroom. I have been to many clubs in Europe, but this was the first time I experienced something so ridiculous and rude. When I asked an English-speaking employee why they wanted this, he said it was a rule. From this perspective, they can make up rules for everything and call it a rule for those when someone asks why. I felt like I was robbed.

This place refused me entry simply because I am a Turkish citizen. First, they asked if I was alone, then after looking at my ID, they told me that I couldn’t enter because I was alone. If I were a citizen of another country, would I have been allowed in despite being alone? Even the security guard at the door, who was also a foreigner, displayed this discriminatory attitude. This establishment enforces a code which prohibits single men entry. "Are you alone?,then No" It must be noted that it is only enforced against dark skinned people. The wait time is very long ..2 hrs sometimes standing outside in the cold.The music is acceptable but never changes. If you are a person of color, seek other options.

Gave this club a try on its re-opening on a Thursday night. The queue at the entrance was pretty long and messy organized: add grids and have security not only watch the entrance. Inside it was pretty fine even if it was packed. The pricing here is a little bit off: while a cuba libre is sold at 6 EUR a single shot is sold at 3,00+ EUR in general and Jägermeister even 4,50 EUR - are you serious?!? 2 stars deduction as for queue handling and prices on shots.

Lousy service. First, they wouldn't let us place an order at the bar. Secondly, a blonde haired waitress was very rude, she threw the beer on the table and treated us badly. Thirdly, when we wanted to pay by credit card, we were charged 20% of the total and we were not given a receipt to back up the payment. Fourth, we were charged for products that we did not consume. Cocktails are very special, and pretty fancy presentation. I can imagine if some of them are designed for competition. The cheif bartender was very friendly and I feel sorry for him that I have to leave this bad review. The people doing the service outside really ruined the night! I felt that one of the waiteress was already drunk, and at certain point there was even an "employee party" outside. Not sure if this is the vibe your team want to create, but I certainly don't appreciate it. Maybe better to have a policy that prohibits your emplyees from drinking too much during the shift?

Impeccable service and food. We had a few plates to share. Would recommend the garlic prawns and Japanese cabbage pancake and the fish was delicious. Couldn’t fault anything and the service was great. The waitresses spoke English and gave us a menu in English.

Very nice place to have some unusual cocktails and a not that big but good menu. Ok they missed my reservation but luckily there was still a table available and it was a bit confusing to have a waiter who only spoke English. Fine for me but sure not for everybody. The cocktails are really interesting and the food delicious and definitely 5*. Only the waiter was a little bit too fast in asking you what you want to order. Makes a bit feeling like being in a rush. Nevertheless I ll come back and try different things from the menu.

Went there with a couple of colleagues and we were amazed by this place. There is a musician who plays the piano, which give a very cozy atmosphere. Every couple minutes there is this little devil jumping out off the ceiling, which always came as quite a surprise. The cocktails were fantastic and the prices awesome. Definitely recommend checkint this place out!

Nice and mystical cafe. Something that u won’t forget. Special effects and atmosphere there are so cool. Sadly that they don’t have barista coffee machine, but they have nice cocktails that r made really fast. I will say that if you are looking for a good place for wine, you are in the right place. It’s good, they have a lot of choice and they take the time to explain the wine. But don’t go for the pizza. We took a vegetarian pizza which was not good (definitely not homemade and not tasty) for 14€ ! It’s expensive for a pizza that cost 3-4€. A bit disappointing

One of my favorite Leipzig bars! Fantastic service, servers who really care, awesome vibe, great wine. FYI there’s no wine menu but they’ll recommend something based on your tastes. €8.25 per glass which is quite expensive, but you’re paying for the experience which in my opinion is worth it!

It was my first time to be in Leipzig and my first time at Renkli but I absolutely love it!! The staff was very welcoming and really showed their expertise. The wine and the atmosphere is amazing. I also tried the Tatar which was one of the best Tatars I ever had. I can highly recommend this place

We spent the most amazing evening in Renkli. The bar staff was very friendly and let us taste different wines before giving us both a glass of a wine we liked. The cheese platter was immense and tasty! We even got some chocolate from people at the table next to us because they couldn't finish it by themselves. The atmosphere is sweet, romantic, intimate, even when you sit at the bar.

One of the most interesting locations you can go to in the city. Very nice personal and a hip crowd. Small menu, everything is good. But you would not go there for a great dinner.

The respected bartender took my order of burger and wild berry but forgot to place the order. I waited patiently for 1 hour and then I was so disappointed to hear that the paper in the printing was over, so not professional behavior from the bartender. I had to sleep without food.

Used to be a great bar, but for the last year it's gone downhill. Alot of the times there is no beer on draught, finding it hard to find a chair that is not falling apart🫣 recently I discovered there was no toilet paper in any of the toilets. Get your act together Indian!

Everything rad if you take some things in account. It IS a bar where you can and are allowed to smoke, so seeing it, entering it and then complaining about it, sorry but that is silly. If smoking is a problem, then don't enter smoking bars. If it is full, service will, which is normal, take a bit longer. Service normally good, so are drinks and food. Ate here last weekend a Burger, it's not like a 5Star Michelin meal, but good. Price of Burger was also less than in other bars on the Karli where the Burgers are not as good. I can not follow Miss Ackermann's comments. Because at the time her review was written, it was closed due to corona, there was and is also no Indian owner at that time. Let alone you'd be able to see an owner if the bar is closed. The vegetarian restaurant she mentions was more than 10 years ago. In fact, I even believe that its longer and there used to be another bar in between that and Barfly. So to me that review seems odd.

Had the vegan pho (soup) and the home made ice tea, which was absolutely delicious! I loved the music that was playing, and the ambiance in general. The waiter was very polite, too. Good place for groups as well as couples. Also fits for more formal gatherings, since the interior is rather upscale. This place has a bar, too, so it might be a good place to just have a drink (however I do not drink any alcohol so I don't know much about that). All in all it's a cozy place you should definitely stop by if you're in Reudnitz. Price range is average (~10€ for one dish + soft drink).

My partner and I come here all the time and get the drink called "Linda's Unschuld," it's like a creamy alcohol-free pina colada, super yummy! The baos are delicious, impossible to not get. Cao is really good at balancing authentic Vietnamese cuisine with modern western tastes and aesthetically presents all platters. The interior is chic and elegant with tasteful neon lights and contemporary accent furniture. Definitely a perfect place for large groups or a cozy date night. Cao is a hidden gem, not too far from the city centre and much-needed in Reudnitz. The staff are very professional and polite, multi-lingual, with great attention to detail. I recommend Cao to anyone who is visiting Leipzig or lives in the city.

We had a brunch here recently. The atmosphere was very nice, food labeled vegan&vegetarian. The staff was kind. The only reason I don't give 5 stars.. after spending one hour there, my clothes smelled of cigarette smoke. Maybe it was just a one-off incident, but i did not like it.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I live not to far away but yet had never heard of them before. Very cozy and chill place with good beer and mega friendly staff. From what I heard breakfast in the weekends is good too, something I definitly will check out soon.

Entry was free despite a pronounced fee. I personally did not like the music, because it had too much stiffness in it. I found it hard to dance to. Other people might like the music, though. The place was not too crowded, which was nice. Mostly younger people to be found there.

Smoking area has electro music but DJ there doesn't even know Tiesto,sometimes just no DJ there.There is also one very small room. Most international one compared to all other clubs in Leipzig. You can meet many different people here not only Germans.

The place is ideal for all sorts of parties, specially latin. The DJ Erika knows how to roll. The only issue is that there are a lot of douchebags and problematic people looking for fights and drama. Also perhaps the staff is a bit biased if you know what I mean :/... Not worth the try.

Easy to get into, managed to use photos of our ID when we forgot ours so good to note. 4 stars because drinks could be abit cheaper!:) good night out!

Thats not my staff. And the entrance fee is too expensive. 10 €, no thank you. In compare to other night clubs they offer to less.

Cool club with 3 rooms. Only complaint is that the street fighter 2 machine needs to be serviced and the cigarette dispenser wasn't working.

Really enjoyed chilling out here and would definitely return. There is a wide range of cocktails and they're reasonably priced. Lots to do such as playing pool, video games, ping pong, and of course table football.

One of the best thing we've done in Leipzig, with amazing people. There is a great diversity of beers and cocktails, baby-foots are like "the smoothest you can find" and the are FREE !! One of my favorite bars in Leipzig. You can play nintendo, table football, billiard, ping pong, beer pong, darts, or just sit and have a beer with friends. It's a great place to hang out or to meet new people.

My favorite bar in Leipzig. There are so many activities that take place. Video games, beer pong, ping pong and much more! The drinks are amazing with so many choose from! Personal favorite has got to be the Havana Beach Cocktail. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's also very clean unlike most bars around town. I recommend it to everyone!

Really atmosferic place! You will find here table-soccer, old-school play station, table games and a lot of friendly people to play with) Main audience of this place are young people and students. The bar is divaded into 2 zones: smoking and non-smoking. In my view it is great place to spend time with your friends!

Super interesting dive bar that provides many different games such as Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, Kicker (Fussball), and ping pong - ALL FOR FREE. The interior isn't too unique but the atmosphere was relaxed and homey. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a cool and intimate hangout with friends

If you aint a professional table football player this is a good place to get started, they have maaaany different shots and cocktails in the menu too so you'll have fun and.... They also have Mario Kart64 haha

Not welcoming, though it appears pretty busy with locals. Neither cheap nor cheerful( with some surly service. Would not go again.

Thankfully the only bar i could find open after our CL game, turned out to be a good one. Good selection of beers at a reasonable price. Very friendly and made very good friends with two nice German guys. Worth a visit.

One of the most important places in Leipzig. Bar, cultural place and a lot of nice people. Definitely must see.

Was there just once. Really crowded, the music was so loud that it hurt my ears. The people seem to be very young, like average age around 20. Many many pretty young girls all dressed up, so for guys good I guess ;-). But it was a "my boyfriend´s not in town" party with a strip-show. So maybe that´s why. But the music I didn´t like. Liked the smoking area upstairs. I am not going to come back but maybe its worth a try, so check out for yourself.

DON'T BOTHER. I followed the rules, presented all my documents, dressed well, followed the indications from the staff, and reserved with anticipation. After waiting in the line, the bouncers denied me the entrance just because I spoke English. This place doesn’t know how to treat good customers. If you are international, avoid it or better go to Berlin and party all the weekend. Spend your money smartly, it’s just one hour and 50€ for the train ticket. Disappointing that in 2021 this place has a small village mentality. All in all, I don’t recommend this place to the international student community.

First bar of the night after work. Went to L1 wearing shirt with collar, jeans and dress shoes. Door guy said he didn't like our pants and shoes...fair enough...but while asking dress code for next time, 6 young guys with Capri jeans and tennis shoes walked in without being asked questions. Turns out after questioning the bouncer did not like Americans (even though we're Canadian). Seen more pictures inside shirtless than clothed, so can't be dress code. Never been this appalled at the world.

The club's bouncer acted intimidating for no reason when I tried to get in. After that, he told me that my attire was too casual for the club. That day they played American rap and they expected me to wear a suit or something like that. The people who are allowed in must be real gangsters who can relate to American hip hop ...

Overly elitest as I was first refused and then offensively looked up-and-down before allowed in by the security- and looking around the club- it apparently wasn't because of the way I was dressed! I paid 8 Euros at the door but had to leave before the main act because I was not having a good time. On one night i went, It was at least 80% men, on another night, about 50/50, so maybe it's hit and miss. Yet I felt like I went to a club where I was definitely not 'part of the club'. The sound system is good and the lighting is decent, so I rate them "good" on Atmosphere. There is practically no decor to speak of, so I consider yet I consider them good as it is well kept and at a fairly good standard all around aesthetically. There is one large screen by the bar which shows the same image of New York City and some other city over and over, which is boring if not annoying- but you would not see it from most places. There is some cool laser-based lighting in the round interior space, which adds to the decor. The service, as mentioned, was less than welcoming, so I consider them "poor" on this count. I should add that I have been to this club on more than one occasion and there have been good acts- otherwise I'd give them "poor" on Atmosphere. It is centrally located which is a plus, but this club is known to be a particularly elitest club- which is not my thing. If you go, I'd suggest going very late when the main act comes on. Or- check out another club.

23-11-2018 The lady on the entrance told us you are not allowed. we went back. 24-11-2018 We purchase online ticket. It's mention on the site "the club is open for everybody" We reach there the lady is too bad & lier with a person together. 1-told us v r not allowed. 2-ticket price is 80euro 3-after showing them tickets with receipt they start to say you dress code is not ok 4-they didn't inform what is the dress code.just keep saying dress is not ok. "OUR DRESS IS MORE GOOD THEN THE PEOPLE THEY WEAR " A poor staff with very very bad attitude. V r coming here from other countries & they behave too bad. THEY HAVE PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE SKIN COLOUR & THEIR COUNTRIES. THE CLUB MANAGMENT NEED TO MENTION THESE COUNTRIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Soo we will not waste our time & money to come there. V paid for the tickets but they don't allow us without any reason It's not Good

Racist staff. They host latin parties and use our latin culture to promote the club, but won't allow latinos inside. Don't steal our culture and use it to sell if you're gonna be awfully xenophobic with latinos. 🤢🤮
