Zum Arabischen Coffe Baum is a historic coffee house in Leipzig, Germany, known for its centuries-old tradition of serving afternoon coffee and cake. It has been a favorite spot for famous figures like Robert Schumann and proudly holds the title of the oldest surviving coffee-house and restaurant in Europe that has been continually operational since 1695.
Kafe Kreme was really good. Great atmosphere. Love the internal setting. Friendly and helpful staff with excellent English.

I was very happy that I could visit and try the coffee here with my classmates before leaving Leipzig. This is the best coffee shop in Germany I think with lots of history and nice vibe. Cannot recommend enough!!!
Trọng L — Google review
Great food, don’t pay attention that it’s a tourist place, you can actually eat delicious food here, at least while their current chef is at place. My respect to that particular person— the chef - all the dishes were fresh and exquisite. Once more, I never expected that, but please keep it as long as possible!
Maria S — Google review
Amazing historic cafe to visit if you're ever in Leipzig. Great coffee choices and traditional German food. The waiters were very courteous and even let me practice my (rather bad) German. Highly recommend
Kieran G — Google review
A quaint place, beautifully renovated inside (including a museum and showrooms, with coffee tables set as in the good old days). There is in- and outdoor seating. Service can get overwhelmed by many customers – the area is as busy and touristy as it will get in Leipzig. Hence not exactly quiet, and lots of commotion outside. It's worth a visit for the historic flair, notably within. The prices are commensurate with the location. A decent place in terms of coffee and cake.
S M — Google review
A very poor experience when we visited one evening whilst in Leipzig, resulting is us quickly leaving. When entering there was no welcome or attempt by the young staff members to engage with ourselves or any of the other customers. We found a table and menus however could not order as the staff were too busy watching videos on their phones behind the counter. A massive shame and disappointing experience.

(Translated by Google) Maybe the busy people are a bit grumpy at times, which some people here might criticize, but the baked goods are artisanal, and I hope this bakery stays this delicious for a long time to come. I could hang my head around the moist mixed bread alone. And Renelt's sugared pancakes, straight to your mouth! Bakery
Cafe
Handwerksbäckerei & Café Kleinert - Brühl is a renowned bakery and café in Leipzig, serving local sweet treats for over 65 years. Specializing in traditional German breads, Saxon cakes, and pies, the bakery's signature 'Leipziger Lerche' is a must-try. This delicious variation of the macaron tartlet features shortcrust pastry, jam, and marzipan.
Tried Leipziger lecher and Bieninstech, both taste great. Prices are reasonable. They have good variety of other cakes and bakeries. They have some seats inside and one table outside. Shop is in downtown, better to reach walking or biking. Staff are friendly and they speak English. Will try different stuff next time.

One of the best places to try Leipzig’s famous pastry, the Leipziger Lerche. They offer a great variety of fresh and tasty pastries, plus good coffee, all in a cozy and calm atmosphere right in the heart of the old town.

A nice bakery with traditional pastries from Leipzig
ST — Google review
I tried my first Leipziger Lerche at Handwerksbäckerei & Café Kleinert - Brühl which is a self service Café. When you eat this dessert, which looks like a small tart, the only thing you taste is almond paste - even though it has a little cherry jam in it. Since it consists of a dense almond paste, one is enough. I ordered cappucino with this dessert. My favorite part of cappicuno is the foam on top, but this coffee was not very foamy and I found it a little bitter. Apart from this, when you look inside the cafe, you see tables placed in long corridors. Don't just be fooled by this, there is also a cute little garden section at the back. The employees are also friendly. I don't know if I would choose it again because of the coffee, but I might just grab my dessert and leave.
Gamze Y — Google review
The best Lerche, very tasty and delicious. You will find it there just fresh and warm to eat at place. I topped by to have one with a coffe but I ended up packing bunch of them to take away for friends.
Minoo J — Google review
We stoped here for the local delicacy Lerch and they were so tasty! Wow. The pistachio was gorgeous and the original cherry and marzipan was delicious! If you need something sweet in Leipzig stop for these!

Bakery
Nestled in the charming Henricistrasse of Lindenau, Bäckerei Jackisch is a delightful bakery steeped in history and tradition. Founded by master baker Curt Jackisch back on April 29, 1929, this family-run establishment has been serving up authentic Saxon baked goods for generations. As you step inside, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pastries that instantly transports you to a world of culinary bliss.
(Translated by Google) Clearly: the best baker in Leipzig! The bear paws taste way too good, they should be banned. The small cakes are delicious and almost healthy due to their size. The nougat tongues are an insider tip and the completely homemade rolls simply taste better than anywhere else. What else can I say: The best bakery in and around Leipzig! (Original) Ganz klar: Der beste Bäcker in Leipzig! (Translated by Google) The products are very good. The baker is also excellent. They cater to customer requests. The lady behind the counter is unbearable. Questions are answered harshly and irritated. The bread is impressive, but the service takes some getting used to. If you can handle that and tolerate a bad mood, you'll find superbly lovingly made pastries at a reasonable price and very good bread. (Original) Die Ware ist sehr gut. Der Bäcker auch. (Translated by Google) Leipziger Lerche, top-notch, whole-grain crust bread, excellent quality. I traveled all the way from Steglitz, West Berlin, to enjoy it. Unfortunately, it's only available in July. Then, just before the 100th anniversary, they'll be closing forever, which is very, very sad. Their good reputation reached as far as Prussia. Thank you, Master Jackisch. I wish you a long and healthy retirement. I'll be back next week and fill my freezer for Christmas. (Original) Leipziger Lerche allerhöchste Klasse, Vollkornkrustenbrot excellente Ware. Nestled in the charming Dieskaustrasse, Bäckerei Hickmann GmbH has been a beloved family-run establishment since 1898. This bakery is renowned for its impressive selection of breads, with wholemeal varieties and the unique Thomas bread—infused with sesame and cheese—taking center stage. Their sesame rye rolls are also a must-try! Beyond bread, their cake offerings are delightful, featuring everything from luscious cherry pies topped with cream to diabetic-friendly cheesecakes.

(Translated by Google) I've lived in the area for about 6 years and have been going to this bakery for the same time. I'd like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation. First of all: the sales staff I've met so far are always extremely friendly. There's also one thing that's consistent there, which also speaks volumes about the shop. I've never been treated unfriendly, and unfortunately, that's worth a lot in today's society. Furthermore, the baked goods are fantastic. I've tried a few other bakeries in Leipzig (for a quick snack) and none of them have impressed me as much :) They have a good selection and the bread is really delicious. I hope you'll stick around for a long time, and I'll be happy to come back again.

The baked goods are wrapped without gloves or tongs (depending on the saleswoman present). Between rings on your fingers, changing money, blowing your nose, making coffee, using the cash register and packing or repacking the goods is an absolute no-go. Kaffeehaus Riquet Café is a century-old art nouveau café in Leipzig, offering a unique Viennese tradition experience. The café's history dates back to 1745, with its architectural gem featuring oriental influences incorporated by architect Paul Lange in 1908. The restored art deco interior provides a cozy atmosphere to enjoy Leipzig's signature sweet, Leipziger Lerche.
What a really unexpected surprise! The café was beautifully furnished with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel instantly relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and so well presented. And the cake – it was truly outstanding, the perfect finish to the meal. A place I’d be more than happy to return to again.

After a stroll through town, we decided to stop for a quick indulgence — and this café, with its tempting pastry display, drew us in. We ordered a slice of the house specialty and one of the nougat cake, accompanied by a cup of tea and a coffee. The house cake was excellent — well-balanced, creamy, with a subtle sweetness that didn’t try too hard. The nougat cake tasted just fine, but it arrived broken into two pieces, and this was simply ignored when served. At these prices, one would expect more care and attention to detail — especially when it comes to presentation. The drinks were decent — nothing remarkable, but they did their job. What left more of an impression, though, was the service. While one or two staff members were pleasant enough, most of them moved and spoke with the kind of energy that made you feel like placing a second order was an inconvenience. There was a noticeable lack of warmth. The interior leans into a French-inspired aesthetic, which could be charming — but the space felt a bit cramped and overfilled. With some thoughtful adjustments, it could become far more inviting. That said, if you’re here strictly for the cake, you’ll be just fine. But if you’re expecting a memorable café experience from start to finish, you may leave wishing for a bit more hospitality and a little less attitude.
Sven O — Google review
The café itself is undeniably beautiful, with a charming atmosphere and an impressive display of cakes. At first glance, it looks like the perfect spot. Unfortunately, the reality does not match the appearance. The cakes, although visually appealing, were extremely dry, dense, and not moist at all, far from the quality one would expect. The bruschetta was also very disappointing: just a slice of bread with chopped tomatoes on top, not even toasted. The service was, unfortunately, one of the worst parts of the visit. If you are not from here, do not trust the positive reviews. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. When they did not understand what we wanted, they sighed loudly and made us show photos of the cakes instead of simply allowing us to point to them in the display. When we tried to describe the cake, the staff refused, saying they only accept orders by the exact name. Even then, when they didn’t understand the name, they eventually allowed us to point, but only after much insistence. To add to this, when ordering bruschetta, the staff corrected our pronunciation. This was ironic since we are descendants of Italians and know the correct pronunciation, which makes us wonder how other guests might be treated if they happen to pronounce something differently. It is also important to note that the café was almost empty at the time of our visit, with only three other tables occupied besides ours. We were there before 9 a.m., so the poor service cannot be explained by the place being busy or overwhelmed. And even if the café had been full, that would not excuse the lack of courtesy and professionalism we experienced. Overall, while the setting of Kaffeehaus Riquet is beautiful, the food is of very poor quality and the service is unwelcoming at best. A disappointing experience that we would not recommend.
Patrícia — Google review
Brilliant service! We walked right upstairs and were greeted by a waitress who invited us to have a seat anywhere we’d like. We had a Kaffee Riquet, an Elefantenkaffee, a Leipziger lerche, a Bach Torte, and a Wiener Torte. To be honest, we found the drinks and cakes underwhelming. The only thing that we could say we loved was the Leipziger Lerche. The two kinds of coffee were “interesting” to taste, but do not expect them to taste like modern day coffee. Anyway, we went there, well aware of the value of Cafe Riquet as a place of history. It didn’t surprise us that the food didn’t meet our expectation. We went there mainly to experience the taste and the ambiance of the past.
Soonyata M — Google review
The restaurant was full and some seating was available upstairs. The tables are very small and the restaurant is not very spacious. As you can see the food we ordered didn't fit on the table we had to resort to leaving other plates we hadn't finished and then eating what was brought out. Service was very slow but expected as it's busy. I'd recommend reserving as some tables were in undesirable places like in front of the door or in hallways. Really nice selection of teas and drinks too.
Devina A — Google review
Very cute and dreamy cafè that makes you desperate to have that one-night to spend with the love of your life romance, the French vibes mixed with the rich history — that they are not afraid to share — is a perfect mix with their heavenly vienna chocolate and their rich cakes. The food and drinks are worth their money and are fair for not only the delectables but also for the nice staff and interesting people you might get the chance of meeting there. The €20-30 price p.p. was for a full breakfast with food and drinks.
Ethan E — Google review
I was sat immediately at a table by a window today, with my dog. Busy staff but professional and attentive. The “maracuja” cake looked good but barely tasted of passion fruit. I paid 10 Euros for fresh mint tea and cake which I found reasonable. I didn’t stay long though as it was busy.

Café Maître and Pâtisserie is a charming art nouveau café and patisserie that has been delighting guests for over a century with its French-inspired interior and cuisine. The breakfast menu offers a variety of French delicacies, from simple combinations like croissants with jam to more elaborate platters designed to be shared.
My partner and I went for breakfast to this place. We ordered a breakfast for two. We also ordered coffee for both of us. The breakfast was perfect for two or three person's. This breakfast was our breakfast and lunch. The staff is very friendly and they speak English. You can pay by card or cash. Of course, we will come back soon.

Came here without reservation, and since it was full, I dined outside (it was still cute as it was sunny anyway) but great food! Lovely service! That onion soup 😍😍😍 ugh! To die for!

Best French toast I have ever had. The coffee wasn't good and the service was also quite bad. However the place is worth visiting if you wanna see nice deco and have a very nice French toast.

Very nice spot, nice beers and we had the quiche which was very delicious. Sadly the service wasn't what you would expect. One of the waiters was wearing his AirPods. Over all they were still nice but we had to wait a long time for some orders. Overall still a good place.

Has a great breakfast here, waiting time somewhat exceed the normal, but it was all very tasty and of quality. Waitress was friendly, though somewhat lacking in information when asked to explain several stuff on the menu. They have a shop too, worth a visit. Price is pretty high, but all in all we were not disappointed

Just stopped in for a coffee because the outdoor seating was so inviting and made for good people. Watching. The dishes being served around me looked very good, especially the smoked salmon and egg open face sandwich. I will definitely be back to try the food.

I’ve grabbed my coffee a few times from there, but the last time, the lady who works there (at the ice cream bar) approached me and said, “We don’t have water, so you can’t place your usual order!” It was 9am, and I thought, okay, no problem. I grabbed my coffee from a different place, but on my way back a few minutes later, I found a bunch of people drinking their coffee both outside and inside the café 😅! I believe I know the reason behind the incident since I’m not a local!! Very disappointing and absolutely disgusting behaviour 🤮

Personal was extremely nice, it was a while since I was that dazzled by friendliness😅 Also the cupcakes are yummy and very visually appealing. Coffee is above average (but its a very subjective opinion, I believe most will find it excellent).

This place was a lucky find as I didn't even think to look for a cupcake place in Leipzig. I am so happy that I found this place though because it's one of my favourite places in Leipzig! The cupcakes are all delicious, the space is cozy, and the staff is all super friendly. It's like a VIP kind of service, specially being in Germany! I couldn't recommend more this place! The only bad thing is that it doesn't open for longer, because it is an awesome café 🧡

Die erste Leipziger Brotschule Bäckerei Lampe is a delightful spot located just outside the bustling city center, making it an ideal stop for both locals and visitors. This charming bakery offers an impressive selection of mega sandwiches perfect for take-away, alongside freshly baked bread and buns that are simply irresistible. Guests can choose to dine in and enjoy a sit-down breakfast from their diverse menu or select tempting items from the glass cabinets filled with baked goods.
Beautiful vibe, delicious pastries and good coffee. No complaints here. Definitely worth checking out!
Laura J — Google review
The sandwiches at this place are pretty awesome and the prices are very reasonable. Coffee is average like every other bakery. Service is awful: after being pressured by the looming cashier to order as quickly as possible, husband got yelled at for just pointing at a sandwich in the case and describing the location (in German) instead of saying the name. Some other customers asked for salt and pepper shakers and got told "Just go look for them!" How can you be so grumpy surrounded by wonderful freshly-baked bread all day? A mystery.
S N — Google review
Wonderful place and a very patient, friendly (but seemingly overworked) staff!
A — Google review
It's okay, but not more than that. The breakfast for 2 (24 euro) had more fruits than cheese or ham. The salami was was not even enough for one bread so that 2 people could try it. Also the bread was okay but going to a 'brot Schule' i expected more than okay.

We love it here. Amazing bread and such lovely options for a sit-in breakfast. The best is the staff though, they are absolute perfection.
Mimi A — Google review
Very unfriendly staff. They would always find a reason to complain (if children are playing in the corner that is intended for children, or if we sit on a table that in their mind is too big for us, or if we sit in the area that they are planning on cleaning [who vacumes at 4 pm when their shop closes at 6?]). They are unfriendly without a reason, too. At the counter, when I just come by to get bread, they seem to be unfriendly just because they feel like it. There is only one (!) person on the counter who is friendly; cudos to him for working in such a gloomy atmosphere and still having a smile for the customer. I’ve been there at least ten times and every time I swear I won’t go back, but I still do because it’s close to where I live and the bread is good, albeit overpriced.

i’ve bought one donut for around 2,75€. i’m used to sugary meals/drinks but that was something else. i’ve bought the unicorn donut and of course i thought it’s gonna be sweet but the amount of sugar in it really shocked me, it didn’t even taste that good. it was just a waste of money. also the “staff” (more like one lady working there) was kinda rude and was just on her phone even while talking to me. this is just an extra information it has nothing to do with my review but if is closed eventhough they are supposed to be open, the lady is going somewhere into the staff room - give her 5-10 minutes and she’ll return.
Ada N — Google review
Couldn't tell you if it was laziness or racism, but serving two customers and then telling the next that you're closed with an extremely bad attitude is bad service, especially when they are still open. Will not be going back.

I do understand that DD is not paying that much - to be honest probably nobody is these days. That just doesn’t justify the fact how unprepared the employees are. Every single time there is a queue that takes forever! Today i was in a hurry - the employee had to get every single ingredient for a cold latte from the back - to then just say - oh sorry we let out of oat milk - can i get you an almond one. No, thank you, i’m allergic to nuts &co. You should be prepared before your shift starts. You gotta check what’s there and what’s not. I’m sorry but doing 20% is not enough. It’s ridiculous how the DD quality in Germany is worlds apart from the US. Not to mention the price and value difference.
Nuklearnaaa — Google review
This outlet serves fresh donuts always. Althought they are not technically fresh but still soft and tastes fresh. I just have one concern that the staff doesnt know if a specific donut contains gelatin or not or animal ingredient. I would take vegan but it would be great if I could also try vegetarisch ones as I love boston creme. Follow me on Instagram @Foodgram_germany for food experiences around Germany

I always thought that this is a great place, but i have to tell them that they have to be carefull when they choose their workers or cashiers. Otherwise i will call them "Nazis"!!! She was really rude to me today, and i already told my group about what happened. We will never buy donuts from them as well as the "pink hair girl" is there!

be careful, the cashiers try to rip you off if you don't pay attention. The cashier promoted a 12 Donut Box for 11€ and in the end she charged me for 2x 6piece boxes. I know times are bad but thats just idiotic, now i will never go back there.

The most delicious cheesecake we've had in a couple of years in Germany. The brownie is also top. The flavour is balanced, not cloyingly sweet. It's magical. Would recommend to everyone. Matcha is delicious.

Pros: - food quality. It was very good. And also how it is presented. - Location and place. The music is soft and pleasant. You can stay quietly there for a while - Free tap water. Cons: - Service: the young waiter did not make me feel comfortable. It made me feel I was disturbing him. Only at the very end he gave me a smile. - prices: I think 4 euros for a small cup of hot water with 3 lemon slices is definitely exaggerated. Same for the food: almost 17 euros for a single breakfast dish (see photo), despite good. They can cut 30% from their prices with no harm at all.

Went to this place because it is listed on the European coffee trip app. It was 3.30 in the afternoon and the poor barista was all by herself and there was a constant stream of customers. The flat white was very very average (see pic) and she over heated the milk.

Coffee, especially flat white is good here. Food and cakes are rather average. Today I got banana bread, and after waiting and asking about it, they said they were warming it up. Okay. 10 min later the girl brings a cold piece of banana bread saying the other one was burnt. Wow. Finally, I don't understand how a coffee shop where you sell mostly drinks has no toilet. This is outrageous. Unfortunately, after 1 year this coffee shop cannot keep up... What a shame...

Their commitment to excellence is reflected in their careful selection of premium beans and expert roasting process. Visitors praise the exceptional coffee drinks and appreciate the variety of cold options available during hot weather.
My new favorite coffee place in Germany so far! Their coffee menu reminds me almost of a little cocktail menu with super creative and exciting signature creations to try. hands down my favorite coffee and roastery in Leipzig. Very experienced staff, always eager to share knowledge about the wide world of coffee. Would definitely recommend to go for a "pour over - special" (V60), they have a very diverse coffee beans menu, always perfectly roasted at the same place (I love that smell).

(Translated by Google) Just not good! The goods all taste like pre-bake and thawed frozen goods, starting with the (cheese) rolls, the pancakes (the jam tastes so much like chewing gum and industrial and not like real four-fruit jam!!!), the apple turnover right up to this walnut brittle tart. No real natural taste, no aromas that are known and expected from real baked goods, no mouthfeel when chewing, the consistency, the pores, everything screams so much of ready-made stuff and purchased industrial goods that are just unpacked or thawed must. And yes, I am a trained baker myself and recognize real goods from finished goods. And yes again: the saleswoman is, as many others have often mentioned here, very unfriendly. Sometimes you wonder which owner could have so little idea about personnel qualities in the area of service. I've been driving past the store for months and always wanted to take a look because it looks really cute and attractive from the outside. Now I regret it. Even at the "den's" opposite I can expect tastier things than here, especially since these goods are all pre-baked or frozen. Such a shame!!! So schade!!!

LUKAS Bäcker is a pleasant spot to unwind with average coffee and fantastic desserts. However, there are some peculiarities such as needing a code for the women's restroom while the men's is accessible without one. It's a nice place but could offer more vegan options and reconsider pricing for oatmilk. Despite this, customers love the pastries and delicious food served in a French style.
Perfectly fine bakery. Staff were very nice. Coffee was tasty! (Half eaten breakfast in picture)

We arrived at Lukas' coming from the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek. We parked in a side street. Lukas features an impressingly big window front looking onto the busy square in front of the Castle-like portals of the Sächsischer Bayerscher Bahnhof - downside: on a cold morning, it can be rather umcomfortably chilly in the seats next to the windows. The service personnel does a great job! 👍 Note that the ladies' and the gentlemen's toilets are on opposite sides of the shop.

This is a pleasant spot to relax. The coffee is average, neither exceptional nor terrible, but the desserts are fantastic. However, I find it a bit confusing that there is a code required to enter the women's restroom while the men's restroom is accessible without one.
Jiří M — Google review
It is a nice place, only more vegan options should be made available. And i find it strange to make you pay so much more for an oatmilk instead of cowmilk. Some vegan butter for some rolls etc would make life so much easier.
Mrs. H — Google review
A perfectly good bakery with a nice breakfast selection. While the LUKAS brand has to offer a variety of traditional baked goods, among those breadrolls, bread, sandwiches and the occasional sweet treat, this place is also good for a quick - or more elaborate - breakfast. The seating area is comfortable with a lot of light from the large glass front. There are breakfast combinations available which may include jam, sausage, cheese, eggs, bread rolls, fruit, etc. Something for everyone, but rather expensive. For an affordable quick morning, I recommend ordering a hot beverage and a sweet or savoury piece of baked good, a French chocolate bun for instance, instead of a complete breakfast. Everything on display can be ordered "to stay" on a plate, and there is really a lot to choose from. The coffee is perfectly fine, and they also have vegan milk alternatives. To my mind, LUKAS is more of an everyday kind of place, which does not excell at anything, but it serves its purpose. I would recommend it to students, passers by and generally people in a hurry who have skipped breakfast at home.

Typical western coffee shop with a big plus: They serve home made breakfasts. The only down side for me is that it's cash-only. This is quite weird knowing that it's a big Coffee-Shop brand here in Germany.

(Translated by Google) We discovered this bakery today while passing through. The first thing we noticed was a lovely outdoor seating area surrounding the bakery. The interior was very spacious and looked tidy. The staff is very friendly and tries to anticipate customers' wishes. However, there's probably a staffing issue here, as our ordered breakfast (scrambled eggs) took about 15 minutes to arrive. The price-performance ratio for the breakfast is perhaps a bit too high for the mid-range price range. In summary: you can enjoy a nice breakfast here, and they also offer a small lunch menu. (Translated by Google) We wanted to have a leisurely breakfast at the bakery today. Upon entering, we were greeted by a sign that read: "Old bread isn't hard. Not having any bread is hard." We thought it was funny. We had no idea that we'd be waiting 30 minutes for a sweet breakfast and scrambled eggs, even though there were only six customers in the shop. When we finally wanted to cancel breakfast, we were told that they had simply forgotten about us. What was particularly disappointing was that the saleswoman stood visibly idle behind the counter the whole time and seemed more bored than stressed. We definitely won't stop there again. Now we know: No breakfast is really hard. LUKAS Bäcker, which was initially described as an industrial baker but later corrected as a large baker due to its numerous branches, seems quite satisfactory. There is uncertainty surrounding the necessity of selling Berliners for peace and increasing their price by 25 cents. Wiener Feinbäcker is a convenient and inviting bakery located on the first floor of Leipzig's main train station. The dining area is well-organized and pleasant, offering a wide variety of baked goods at reasonable prices. While some items may not have been as fresh as expected, the overall experience includes tasty and affordable options. Additionally, it provides a comfortable place to wait for trains with clean furniture, friendly staff, and several tables equipped with power sockets.

Since we know the baker from home, we thought we couldn't go wrong. The selection was like ours, the dining room is very nice and clearly laid out. The prices for a train station are reasonable and acceptable. What still resulted in the one point deduction was the Franzbrötchen, which tasted like it was yesterday. When we asked, we were assured that it was freshly baked. We like to eat Franzbrötchen often, but they always taste fluffy and light, but unfortunately not today. But this glitch shouldn't detract from the overall impression, we remain loyal to the Viennese gourmet baker.

I've done my field research and it's safe to say...it's the one of the best pastry shops in Leipzig hands down! God the Budapest cake! Another great reason to stay in Plagwitz ;-)

The matcha Budapest cake and the madeleine were delicious! Cute interior and friendly service 🙌

Bakery
Pretzel store
Ditsch Bakery offers a delectable selection of buttered pretzels and delicious latte beverages. It is commendable that they now provide Vytal deposit cups, showing their commitment to sustainability. The bakery also serves incredibly friendly service and freshly baked chocolate croissants and butter pretzels. This establishment has gained gratitude from its patrons for their wonderful offerings.
(Translated by Google) Very tasty butter pretzel and the latte was also very good. I thought it was great that they now also offer deposit cups from Vytal.

(Translated by Google) Normally I know from Ditsch that the pizzas come out of the oven and then lie on the display and are kept warm there. Unfortunately, at lunchtime, both pizzas that were ordered were taken out of the display and they tried to heat them up again in a heater like the one the kebab shop uses for the flatbread. My spelling probably gives it away, they were both cold. The only positive thing was the friendly gentleman who served me. He was probably at least friendly because he knew that I wouldn't like the pizzas being cold. I'm not used to that in Ditsch's form.
Patrick N — Google review
(Translated by Google) Pizza lukewarm on the outside, cold on the inside. Even after it was briefly put in the oven. Why do you actually ask to warm it up again before eating?

(Translated by Google) Food classic Ditsch, sales staff shockingly unfriendly - not a good day or goodbye. The 🍕 piece is thundered onto the shelf with acid mine.. Normally you can quickly grab something from Ditsch! But the staff at Leipzig main station is somehow always super unfriendly and dismissive. That's why it was the last time. But: for ME that's not a bad thing. Competition in the main station is fierce.

(Translated by Google) Very quick service. I bought a pretzel and a margarita pizza. I was amazed that the pretzel was unfortunately almost raw and the pizza was unfortunately ice cold. I recommend you buy a new heat lamp because unfortunately the one you have upstairs by the train tracks no longer works!!! The pizza was halfway edible, the pretzel was baked just enough so that it didn't collapse into dough. In my opinion, it's the most wasteful €4.05 I've ever paid for hardly any customers, so two stars (Original) Sehr schnelle Bedienung.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately the pretzel I bought at 12:30 p.m. was very dry. Definitely from the day before. Too bad. The man at the checkout was very friendly and the counter was relatively clean for a ditsch (Original) Gekaufte Brezel um 12:30 Uhr leider sehr trocken. Definitiv vom Vortag. Schade.

(Translated by Google) Normally I'm always very happy with Ditsch, but today it was a disaster. The service was extremely unfriendly and then I got a cold and therefore inedible pizza. I ate them anyway because I was extremely hungry but otherwise I won't come back (Original) Normalerweise bin ich mit Ditsch immer sehr zufrieden doch heute was es eine Katastrophe Bedienung extrem unfreundlich und dann bekam ich eine kalte und somit ungenießbare Pizza. (Translated by Google) Always very satisfied so far, on July 6th. I was then left out in the rain because it was more important to have a lively conversation in the sales room. Today July 13th My wife brought home rolls at 9:15 a.m., which were the last ones. Not quite fresh anymore and somehow small. What's that supposed to mean? We will buy somewhere else for now and hope that the previous quality will be returned. Was soll das?

You can immediately tell that emphasis is placed on the best organic ingredients and craftsmanship. The bread tastes great, stays fresh for a long time and the selection is creative and varied. I really appreciate that the baker not only pays attention to taste, but also to the environment and health. If you're looking for high-quality organic baked goods, you've come to the right place!

(Translated by Google) I love the baked goods from Brotprofi! No baking agents or ready-made mixes - everything here is made according to traditional craftsmanship with fresh sourdough. It's healthy and keeps you full for longer! The small village shop is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings. Unfortunately it doesn't have a barrier-free entrance - the shop is rather too small for strollers or wheelchairs... No seating to have breakfast. The bread professional takes part in market swarmers in the Wurzen and Dornreichenbach swarmers. This means that you can pre-order the bread online and pick it up on Fridays at Wurzen train station or at Rittergut Dornreichenbach.

(Translated by Google) I ordered 4 wholemeal spelled stollen online, which were well packaged and arrived safely. This tunnel has rightly been awarded gold. An incredibly great aroma that stays in your mouth for a long time, not too sweet. I have to say that I am a trained baker and appreciate what a tasty work of art was created. I am also diabetic and wholemeal spelled flour is particularly good for me. The Stollen is worth its price and cannot be compared to a Stollen from the discount store etc.

(Translated by Google) Organic bread is hard and dry after two days, while the mini double rolls cost over €1! They're already hard and stale the next morning. Enjoyment is different. I've been buying organic rolls in Leipzig for over 20 years. The single organic rolls there are almost as big as the double rolls from the Fischer bakery, currently cost 36 cents, and above all, taste a million times better. That's just my impression; other customers may not have a comparison. The price is almost irrelevant to me, but it has to taste good, so even organic doesn't help. The baker will respond to this review; he doesn't tolerate criticism.
